- 1:11Speaker 3: It's a podcast called twenty five Wists Stuck in football
- 1:16Speaker 3: and they whizz so yet it's too bad, But what
- 1:19Speaker 3: did you expect? It's a podcast called twenty five Wist
- 1:24Speaker 3: twenty wine.
- 1:25Speaker 1: All right below the whistle, letty, Yes, sir, we hit
- 1:28Speaker 1: our parlay, sucker, that's all we need to do. It's
- 1:31Speaker 1: at the NFL games.
- 1:32Speaker 4: Yeah, that's it, that easy.
- 1:33Speaker 1: Yeah, I did. And again I will say when we
- 1:36Speaker 1: suck and we lose and we that's why that's mostly
- 1:38Speaker 1: every show. Uh, we did hit, and I did say.
- 1:41Speaker 1: My one bet that I felt absolutely one hundred about
- 1:44Speaker 1: was the Chief's minus fourth to Browns. And then I
- 1:45Speaker 1: started second guessing myself. I'm not gonna lie because everybody
- 1:48Speaker 1: was like, don't bet that one. Then they're getting low,
- 1:52Speaker 1: and then once again started it was over. Yeah, it's
- 1:54Speaker 1: never like twenty one. Nothing never felt more than less
- 1:57Speaker 1: than more sure of myself, more than a five minute period.
- 2:00Speaker 1: So yeah, what I have so many notes, so many
- 2:03Speaker 1: things I want to talk about. Number one, we watched
- 2:05Speaker 1: the Heisman ceremony.
- 2:07Speaker 4: Did you cry?
- 2:09Speaker 1: No?
- 2:09Speaker 4: Oh, I cried, I really did. I've never cried watching
- 2:13Speaker 4: that thing.
- 2:15Speaker 1: I did not. I did not cry.
- 2:17Speaker 4: I think it's when when I mean I felt.
- 2:18Speaker 1: Emotional, but I guess I didn't. I don't know, well,
- 2:20Speaker 1: I feel weird.
- 2:22Speaker 4: He talked about, you know, his dad not being there,
- 2:24Speaker 4: and I just lost my dad. I know you don't have.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Thought it was dad. You know what I thought about
- 2:28Speaker 1: Johnny Johnny Manzelle, And you're right. I don't have a dad,
- 2:33Speaker 1: and that would have resonated. I thought about Johnny from sing.
- 2:37Speaker 4: Johnny the Gorilla. Dude, he's made a huge impact in
- 2:39Speaker 4: your life.
- 2:40Speaker 1: Because Johnny the Gorilla from Singing, he's playing. His dad's
- 2:44Speaker 1: in jail, watching him from jail, and he ends up
- 2:47Speaker 1: breaking out date you know, and sings a cartoon that
- 2:50Speaker 1: I watched because my nephew's like two and it's on
- 2:52Speaker 1: all the time.
- 2:52Speaker 5: Oh, okay, okat, I didn't know what sing was.
- 2:55Speaker 1: Yeah, trust me, dude, I don't either. Ye, Johnny's a
- 2:57Speaker 1: gorilla and and you know why. I was thinking of,
- 3:00Speaker 1: like Johnny, you thought that was his situation? Well, no,
- 3:03Speaker 1: but like his dad's what you know, because sure he
- 3:06Speaker 1: gets up and it's talking, you know, to his dad.
- 3:10Speaker 1: That's why I don't know. I just felt like that
- 3:11Speaker 1: was things.
- 3:12Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, it was crazy man. I just like, oh,
- 3:14Speaker 4: that's cool, Travis Hunter.
- 3:16Speaker 5: And then I was like, did you see the video
- 3:18Speaker 5: that came out of his dad watching?
- 3:20Speaker 4: No?
- 3:20Speaker 5: I saw today, So where was his.
- 3:22Speaker 4: Dad in jail?
- 3:23Speaker 1: That's why Johnny and Johnny's playing piano. His dad's watching
- 3:26Speaker 1: from jail.
- 3:27Speaker 5: Yeah, oh I gotta watch it.
- 3:29Speaker 4: No you don't, okay, you do sing?
- 3:32Speaker 5: I'm sure I will eventually.
- 3:33Speaker 1: And Dean says that like, uh, Travis Hunters like don't drink,
- 3:39Speaker 1: don't smoke, like works like dialed in. So he loved that.
- 3:43Speaker 1: For somebody who does.
- 3:44Speaker 5: That, I didn't know he was engaged too.
- 3:47Speaker 1: And they asked him because they were trying to get
- 3:51Speaker 1: a what do you want to play in the NFL?
- 3:52Speaker 1: They asked him the question after he had won. In
- 3:55Speaker 1: your dreams, are you playing wide receiver or are you
- 3:59Speaker 1: playing cornerback? He's like, am my dreams, man, I'm just fishing.
- 4:05Speaker 1: I just feel like that dude's real, Like it does
- 4:07Speaker 1: a real dude. So and I mentioned maybe off off
- 4:13Speaker 1: Mike off camera to some of you guys, Hey, Kevin,
- 4:16Speaker 1: the Heisman pose? Yeah, can you take your headphones off
- 4:20Speaker 1: and can you show us the Heisman pose in the
- 4:21Speaker 1: middle here? Yeah? Okay everybody, Yeah, you all want to
- 4:27Speaker 1: see it. Yeah, so do the Heisman post.
- 4:29Speaker 4: Go ahead, I go on the stage, on the stage.
- 4:31Speaker 1: So go ahead and hit it. Yep, you right for
- 4:37Speaker 1: the question. Wow, so that is not that's not right.
- 4:42Speaker 4: And so it's not right.
- 4:43Speaker 1: And again the trophy, look at the now google the
- 4:47Speaker 1: trophy in my childhood right now.
- 4:50Speaker 4: No, we we all did it.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Yeah. I brought this up to them. I think we're
- 4:53Speaker 1: working out and I had only learned it somewhat recently.
- 4:57Speaker 1: So why the knee comes up when people do, it's
- 5:00Speaker 1: because Charles Woodson did that when he was like doing
- 5:03Speaker 1: But the real thing, the guy doesn't left his knee up.
- 5:05Speaker 1: He's on the ground on top of the truph.
- 5:07Speaker 4: It's like just a strider.
- 5:08Speaker 1: Yeah, he's just Since Charles Woodson brings his knee up,
- 5:12Speaker 1: everybody thinks that's on the trophy and it's really not interesting.
- 5:14Speaker 1: But there you go.
- 5:15Speaker 5: Huh.
- 5:16Speaker 1: I thought the same thing. I was like, huh, Kevin.
- 5:19Speaker 4: We all did it, dude, we all did it.
- 5:21Speaker 1: I don't feel stupid. I mean you look to we
- 5:23Speaker 1: all did you did? Look good.
- 5:26Speaker 4: It doesn't feel real though. It doesn't feel natural to
- 5:29Speaker 4: do the actual pose because the stretch is so natural.
- 5:33Speaker 1: So I encourage everybody to go google the Heisman trophy
- 5:36Speaker 1: and you'll see what the actual heisman posed is, which
- 5:38Speaker 1: is not that knee up in the air, the arm
- 5:40Speaker 1: is out. I've actually held a Heisman trophy before.
- 5:43Speaker 5: It's heavy.
- 5:43Speaker 1: Tebos really, Luke Brian brought over my house and I
- 5:47Speaker 1: had it at my house for like, so, Luke bryan question,
- 5:52Speaker 1: good question. Luke Brian paid so t Bow auctions his
- 5:55Speaker 1: off every six months to say someone's house. He's been
- 5:58Speaker 1: raised a couple million bucks for stuff.
- 6:00Speaker 5: That's cool.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Yeah, And so Luke Bryant at a charity event where
- 6:03Speaker 1: Tebow was paid for it. And so it looks like, hey,
- 6:07Speaker 1: he called me, Hey, can I come over without any
- 6:12Speaker 1: sort of You're like why? I was, Yeah, why, sir?
- 6:17Speaker 1: I got t Bow's heisman. And Georgia and Florida are
- 6:22Speaker 1: playing this week, and I want to do a bit
- 6:25Speaker 1: with your bulldog. And I said, all right, when I
- 6:30Speaker 1: don't have to be there, like Luken, come over and
- 6:31Speaker 1: do whatever with Stanley. I don't care. And he's like
- 6:34Speaker 1: are you home and like two, and I was like yeah,
- 6:36Speaker 1: he goes all right. So Luke drives up as a
- 6:38Speaker 1: big black truck and gets the Heisman out and has
- 6:42Speaker 1: a jar of peanut butter with him and so Georgia,
- 6:47Speaker 1: Luke is a bulldog and they were the gators and
- 6:50Speaker 1: bulldogs are playing. So what he did is he put
- 6:53Speaker 1: peanut butter on the trophy and had Stanley the bulldog
- 6:57Speaker 1: like licking t Bo's trophy and made a video on
- 6:59Speaker 1: his like hey, TAMN, the bulldog's licking on your trophy.
- 7:03Speaker 1: And so.
- 7:05Speaker 5: You have to be somebody to do something like that.
- 7:07Speaker 1: It was like at the house for a day and
- 7:09Speaker 1: then Stanley made like ESPN because then they picked up
- 7:11Speaker 1: the video story of it's licking the trophy on ESPN.
- 7:14Speaker 1: By the way, Stanley's a dog. Everybody bulldog. Yeah that
- 7:19Speaker 1: trophy is really heavy.
- 7:20Speaker 4: It is heavy.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Yeah, it's awesome. Yeah.
- 7:24Speaker 4: So yeah, Travis Hunter was holding that like it's not
- 7:27Speaker 4: heavy at all, just kind of waving it around. But
- 7:29Speaker 4: I guess that's how strong he is.
- 7:31Speaker 1: People were asking me if I who I was gonna
- 7:34Speaker 1: I don't have vote. People think I have a vote.
- 7:36Speaker 1: Really yeah, I don't have a vote. But they were like, hey,
- 7:38Speaker 1: who did you vote for? And I didn't tell him
- 7:41Speaker 1: to have a vote. I was just like Trump's Hunter
- 7:43Speaker 1: because that's who I would have voted for, and I don't.
- 7:44Speaker 1: It's not that I don't think Jenny's awesome. He didn't
- 7:48Speaker 1: play anybody. He played Oregon, Like, if you're gonna win
- 7:51Speaker 1: the Heisman, yeah, you need to play in a P
- 7:54Speaker 1: four for the For the most part, it's like like
- 7:57Speaker 1: Graham Haraldon't won't it Like there are these guys that like,
- 8:01Speaker 1: you play at Hawaii, you're probably not gonna win the
- 8:03Speaker 1: Heisman because your competition's not unless you're playing big boys,
- 8:07Speaker 1: you shouldn't be given the big boy trophy. I thought
- 8:09Speaker 1: it was super close, and he's dominant and he'll probably
- 8:12Speaker 1: dominant next level. But I went back just for fun
- 8:15Speaker 1: and looked at Boise State schedule. Dear God, really they
- 8:18Speaker 1: had They had a few tough games, yes, but they
- 8:20Speaker 1: were sisters of the poor Man, like three death schools,
- 8:24Speaker 1: So you don't win that. You know you should win
- 8:27Speaker 1: the Heisman, not saying he's not a better athlete, worse athlete,
- 8:30Speaker 1: not a better running back or one of the running
- 8:32Speaker 1: backs of all time. You can't win the Heisman whenever
- 8:35Speaker 1: you're not playing other guys that have a possibility to
- 8:41Speaker 1: play in the NFL for the most part, which is
- 8:43Speaker 1: what Travis Hunter was doing. He's playing other P four schools.
- 8:46Speaker 4: And playing playing both sides of the ball and say
- 8:48Speaker 4: it's such a unique thing.
- 8:49Speaker 1: And people would be like, well, he wins because he's
- 8:51Speaker 1: playing all the snaps, Well, that's stupid. One of the
- 8:53Speaker 1: interesting things about Travis Hunter and all the snaps he
- 8:56Speaker 1: plays when at times when he doesn't have stats on defense,
- 8:59Speaker 1: is because they will not throw at him. Right, do
- 9:02Speaker 1: you know why they don't throw at him?
- 9:04Speaker 4: Heard of him?
- 9:04Speaker 1: Yes, and he still had interceptions and tackles. Thought. I
- 9:08Speaker 1: thought he should have won. It was very close. Good Virginny.
- 9:10Speaker 1: I thought it was awesome. Yeah, cool, Yeah, I was
- 9:14Speaker 1: happy with it all.
- 9:15Speaker 4: Dylan Gabriel just did he get thirst there?
- 9:18Speaker 1: He got third?
- 9:18Speaker 6: Third? Yeah?
- 9:19Speaker 1: Yes, Gattibo got fifth, right, Cam wore four, Yeah, Gattabo
- 9:23Speaker 1: got fifth. Yeah. And that the guy the guy from Army.
- 9:29Speaker 4: Oh there was a guy from Army or part of
- 9:31Speaker 4: the running.
- 9:31Speaker 1: Or you see it. I know the logo was really small.
- 9:33Speaker 1: You may look at like seventh bill vision's not that
- 9:36Speaker 1: good anyway, it was somebody with the logo that color
- 9:40Speaker 1: you see f Army color the gold. Yeah, but again
- 9:44Speaker 1: if you look at top ten and then I remember
- 9:46Speaker 1: EDDI said already Army should be in the playoff?
- 9:48Speaker 4: Yeah Army, Yeah that was that was wrong about that?
- 9:50Speaker 1: What's up that?
- 9:51Speaker 4: It's a really a good thing. Army didn't go to
- 9:53Speaker 4: the playoffs?
- 9:54Speaker 1: Who was it?
- 9:55Speaker 5: It was Army? Bryce and Daily there he got he
- 9:57Speaker 5: was six?
- 9:58Speaker 1: Yeah wow, so oh cool, it's over. Heisman's over. Pretty
- 10:03Speaker 1: happy with with it, don't really care.
- 10:05Speaker 4: Did you bet on the Heisman?
- 10:06Speaker 1: I did not. I did not bet on the Heisman winner.
- 10:09Speaker 1: I did, and I showed you guys yesterday. I put
- 10:12Speaker 1: a substantial amount of money out what I thought was
- 10:13Speaker 1: the easiest money in years, which was the Chiefs, and
- 10:18Speaker 1: I didn't bet to spread. I went straight money line
- 10:20Speaker 1: ye job, because I was like, they're not losing to
- 10:22Speaker 1: the Browns. And they didn't lose to the Browns. Although
- 10:25Speaker 1: started taking something. But then when the Titans go up
- 10:29Speaker 1: seven zero on the Bengals, like there's no way the
- 10:32Speaker 1: Titans can keep up with this, Like Bengals defense sucks, yes,
- 10:36Speaker 1: but there's no way the Titans can keep up. And
- 10:39Speaker 1: so I that money that I lost on Bam, I
- 10:41Speaker 1: just put twenty one hundred bucks on Cincinnati to win
- 10:44Speaker 1: the game once they were down seven zero, which gave
- 10:46Speaker 1: me a bit of better odds. I hit that was
- 10:49Speaker 1: feeling pretty good about it. So I made three thirty
- 10:52Speaker 1: found bucks yesterday. So I'm back on the positives for
- 10:55Speaker 1: the month. And now DraftKings has which Eddie didn't know.
- 11:00Speaker 1: I mean, you guys didn't know.
- 11:01Speaker 5: I didn't know.
- 11:01Speaker 4: I had no clue, dude, to change my world.
- 11:03Speaker 1: You can now look and see where you are for
- 11:05Speaker 1: the month, for the year.
- 11:07Speaker 4: Or for all time, which is the one that like
- 11:09Speaker 4: to me, like this is crazy just to think. I mean,
- 11:11Speaker 4: I've been on draftking since the beginning, so just to
- 11:14Speaker 4: think how much I've won and how much I've put
- 11:16Speaker 4: back and how much I've kept like all that, all
- 11:18Speaker 4: those stats are really cool to look at.
- 11:20Speaker 5: I wish I could get back into my account to
- 11:21Speaker 5: see that.
- 11:22Speaker 1: Call him dude, I know.
- 11:25Speaker 4: What, Open it back up, Open it back up?
- 11:28Speaker 5: Maybe can you read them my status? And then.
- 11:31Speaker 1: Oh he has them read them too. That's funny.
- 11:35Speaker 5: Yeah, I didn't know that was a thing. Yeah, until
- 11:36Speaker 5: you sent it.
- 11:37Speaker 1: Over after yesterday's winning because I lost all that money
- 11:39Speaker 1: at Bama been twenty one hundred bucks and didn't make
- 11:42Speaker 1: the playoff. Future hit it back yesterday. Now I'm up
- 11:45Speaker 1: on this month about two thousand.
- 11:46Speaker 4: When I when you sent that text, I thought that
- 11:49Speaker 4: you had created a little graph and I'm like, gosh,
- 11:51Speaker 4: bones are really into this thing.
- 11:53Speaker 5: I know created.
- 11:57Speaker 1: That's funny. I didn't do that, though, but I wish
- 11:58Speaker 1: I wouldever.
- 11:58Speaker 4: That bean it did?
- 12:00Speaker 1: You guys see the cow manager tackle the guy that
- 12:04Speaker 1: stole the helmet. What I'd like for you to do, Casey,
- 12:06Speaker 1: while I talk about this, if you'll pull up it's
- 12:07Speaker 1: it'll be on TikTok So Cal the football team. They're
- 12:12Speaker 1: all on the field after the game and a fan
- 12:15Speaker 1: tries to steal a helmet and the cow manager sees
- 12:18Speaker 1: the fans still the helmet and there's a video of
- 12:19Speaker 1: the whole football team watching it back in the film room. Yeah,
- 12:22Speaker 1: and whenever you find it Casey. Let me know, I
- 12:24Speaker 1: think I got it.
- 12:25Speaker 4: I'm just making sure this.
- 12:26Speaker 1: Is there's like three weeks ago, right, yeah, because I'll
- 12:28Speaker 1: reset it up again for the oclippy. But if he's
- 12:33Speaker 1: the manager, he's the hero. He's a hero on that
- 12:35Speaker 1: squad now, because the dude's got it. Let me know
- 12:39Speaker 1: when you get it.
- 12:40Speaker 4: I want to see this.
- 12:42Speaker 1: I want to talk about the portal. Oh you have it? Yeah, okay,
- 12:46Speaker 1: So I think it's in like the football playroom, in
- 12:49Speaker 1: like the meeting room. They have it up on the
- 12:50Speaker 1: big screen and all the players are watching it like
- 12:53Speaker 1: they're watching game film. It's after the game. The players
- 12:55Speaker 1: are all on the field and a fan tries to
- 12:57Speaker 1: steal a helmet from cal sideline. The manager sees them
- 13:02Speaker 1: still a helmet, chases them through the crowd and just
- 13:05Speaker 1: rips them, like drops them. Watch that, Eddie, Yeah you
- 13:08Speaker 1: see that. I started he's been waiting for.
- 13:10Speaker 4: That's the guy running. He's the guy running. He's taking it.
- 13:13Speaker 7: This power bomb just dropped out and they're breaking down
- 13:19Speaker 7: the film under give.
- 13:20Speaker 1: A Scholarshow cool? Give him a scholarship.
- 13:24Speaker 5: The team is so hyped too, because you know they
- 13:27Speaker 5: all know the guy.
- 13:28Speaker 4: He's messing.
- 13:31Speaker 1: Like. Another note I had to bring up is why
- 13:33Speaker 1: does the WNBA hate Kaitlyn Clark.
- 13:36Speaker 7: It's what happened now, So she gets.
- 13:38Speaker 1: Named like Time magazine Athlete of the Year.
- 13:40Speaker 4: That's what it was deservedly.
- 13:42Speaker 1: So absolutely she she's more famous than ninety eight percent
- 13:48Speaker 1: of NBA players.
- 13:50Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, definitely.
- 13:51Speaker 1: Other than lebron kd Steph. I'm just r straight fame. Sure,
- 13:54Speaker 1: Like she's more famous than all but three, four or
- 13:58Speaker 1: five NBA players, just more the most five famous basketball
- 14:01Speaker 1: players in the world. And so they named her like
- 14:04Speaker 1: Time magazine Athlete of the Year. So they had the
- 14:09Speaker 1: owner of the Mystics on and she was going, I
- 14:12Speaker 1: don't know why they couldn't just put the whole WNBA
- 14:14Speaker 1: on the cover. We're all athlete of the Year.
- 14:16Speaker 6: Oh good?
- 14:17Speaker 1: And someone like did the you know on Twitter when
- 14:20Speaker 1: they do the community notes whenever they correct somebody under
- 14:24Speaker 1: the Mystic owner's video, and they were like Kayla Clark's
- 14:28Speaker 1: two games versus the Mystics was almost forty percent of
- 14:31Speaker 1: their entire Wow, ticket purchasing the whole year. Wow, They're
- 14:36Speaker 1: just such haters.
- 14:37Speaker 5: I don't understand that.
- 14:40Speaker 1: I think it doesn't make sense. Because to us, because
- 14:47Speaker 1: the logical thing is there's a superstar, it's going to
- 14:49Speaker 1: lift the whole league. But when jealousy comes into play,
- 14:52Speaker 1: which is what's happening, it feels a bit different.
- 14:55Speaker 5: But like I think about in football terms, you know,
- 14:57Speaker 5: a defensive end whoever it might be, sets or a
- 14:59Speaker 5: quarter of for sure, sets the market again and getting paid.
- 15:02Speaker 5: And then they're always like, well, yeah, that's great because
- 15:05Speaker 5: that means we're gonna get paid.
- 15:06Speaker 1: You know, I think far more players in football. You're
- 15:11Speaker 1: talking about twenty two on a side and thirty two
- 15:13Speaker 1: teams and WNBA, what are there like eight teams, twelve
- 15:17Speaker 1: teams whatever it is? Five players each team. And then
- 15:20Speaker 1: here is this white girl from Iowa and everything about
- 15:25Speaker 1: her is different and she has a skill set that
- 15:29Speaker 1: no one else had, or if they have, they weren't.
- 15:30Speaker 1: They didn't get famous for it before. And then I
- 15:33Speaker 1: think there's it's just it's rampant jealousy.
- 15:36Speaker 4: And how long has the WNBA been around?
- 15:38Speaker 1: By nineties? Huh get started?
- 15:40Speaker 5: If I'm guessing ninety eight.
- 15:42Speaker 1: If I'm guessing yeah, like I guess nineties.
- 15:44Speaker 4: I mean, I'm thinking that's that they lose money.
- 15:46Speaker 1: They've never made money right ever, And the reason they're
- 15:49Speaker 1: gonna start flying private jets to games and not having
- 15:51Speaker 1: to fly is because of Kayla Clark.
- 15:53Speaker 7: You're very close keV ninety six even.
- 15:56Speaker 1: Older, So why they just cannot brace that we even are,
- 16:01Speaker 1: We would never have talked about the WNBA was a
- 16:03Speaker 1: Kayla Clark correct.
- 16:05Speaker 4: That's so true.
- 16:06Speaker 5: It's crazy.
- 16:08Speaker 1: So they're all haters. They're still a haters, uh, Caitlin
- 16:11Speaker 1: Clark forever.
- 16:12Speaker 4: Side note? If I would have bought you at Kaitlin
- 16:14Speaker 4: Clark hoodie, would you absolutely? Okay?
- 16:17Speaker 8: Dang?
- 16:17Speaker 4: I thought about it for Christmas, but I didn't get that.
- 16:19Speaker 4: Absolutely got you something else great I saw, and I'm like, gosh,
- 16:24Speaker 4: do I do?
- 16:25Speaker 5: He's like Angel Reese.
- 16:27Speaker 4: You got Angel instead.
- 16:30Speaker 1: One other note I made. I'm rolling through my notes
- 16:32Speaker 1: before we get over to a really good interview. All
- 16:35Speaker 1: the portal chaos happening now, teams losing all the players,
- 16:39Speaker 1: losing some of the players, players in and out, and
- 16:42Speaker 1: everyone's getting mad like, oh, it ain't how it used
- 16:44Speaker 1: to be an agree and is it super annoying?
- 16:46Speaker 6: Yes?
- 16:47Speaker 1: And does it suck?
- 16:47Speaker 6: Yes?
- 16:48Speaker 1: But you want universal you you want the most chaos.
- 16:53Speaker 1: It's absolutely possible if you want there to actually be
- 16:56Speaker 1: some change and some fixes, because if it stays just
- 16:58Speaker 1: kind of messy, nothing sad, we're gonna be changed. You
- 17:01Speaker 1: want it to be so broken that someone has to
- 17:04Speaker 1: step in and put regulations in some of the like
- 17:06Speaker 1: it's only one year and they're out and no team, great,
- 17:10Speaker 1: go crazy. I want it to be such a disaster
- 17:13Speaker 1: that somebody has to step in. Otherwise it's just always
- 17:15Speaker 1: gonna stay somewhat disastrous and annoying. Like I want it
- 17:18Speaker 1: to get so much worse. I want players like the
- 17:21Speaker 1: Vegas guy quarterback who goes mid year I ain't get
- 17:23Speaker 1: paid them out. I want that happening all the time,
- 17:26Speaker 1: because the more that happens, the more someone's finally going
- 17:29Speaker 1: to have to go that this needs to be fixed,
- 17:31Speaker 1: because it will not be fixed until it gets extremely broken.
- 17:35Speaker 1: And that is exactly what's happening now. Let it go
- 17:38Speaker 1: go full frozen, let it go, let it go.
- 17:41Speaker 5: You need it.
- 17:42Speaker 1: You need it to be messed up. You want it
- 17:43Speaker 1: to be so messy and people be in and out,
- 17:45Speaker 1: and people poaching players and paying players, and you want
- 17:48Speaker 1: all of it because that's the only way it's gonna
- 17:51Speaker 1: get fixed if it is so messed up that in
- 17:56Speaker 1: cuaa limited power, but they can still say a few things. Lawmakers, universities,
- 18:03Speaker 1: you people are gonna have to come back in and
- 18:07Speaker 1: define what the structure is because right now there is none.
- 18:11Speaker 1: But it's got to get full wild West first. So
- 18:14Speaker 1: who cares team's pulling out of bowl games? I don't
- 18:16Speaker 1: have enough players. Marshall, Yeah, Marshall, yeah, so good. I
- 18:21Speaker 1: hope it gets ugly. Wise man once said, you g
- 18:27Speaker 1: l y. You ain't got no alibi. Oh you ugly? Yeah,
- 18:32Speaker 1: you you ugly.
- 18:34Speaker 4: I've heard that.
- 18:35Speaker 5: That's some deep stuff, heard that.
- 18:36Speaker 1: But it does suck and it is annoying. And I
- 18:40Speaker 1: also understand if you're a player, this is the most
- 18:42Speaker 1: money you might ever make your whole life. So of
- 18:44Speaker 1: course it's free market. You put yourself on the market.
- 18:46Speaker 1: Every year. I would if I were a good quarterback,
- 18:49Speaker 1: unless I was making a great check, and I'd be like,
- 18:51Speaker 1: let me just spend a morth against free agent. He'd
- 18:53Speaker 1: be a free agent every year.
- 18:54Speaker 5: I saw that South Carolina dn the headline. I can't
- 18:57Speaker 5: remember his name, but he's unbelievable stuff, true fresh, and
- 19:00Speaker 5: he re signs with South Carolina for one point five.
- 19:02Speaker 5: I'm like, wait, what new deal? It just looks crazy,
- 19:05Speaker 5: but it's just to your point, it's the new era.
- 19:06Speaker 1: Yeah, and every team's gonna have about twenty million bucks
- 19:08Speaker 1: next year, so in the profit sharing you know, call there.
- 19:14Speaker 1: So we need it to be really broken if we
- 19:17Speaker 1: wanted to kind of be fixed again. Otherwise nobody's gonna
- 19:20Speaker 1: invest time in fixing it. What's I was watching the
- 19:24Speaker 1: I think it was a Colorado State coach. He was
- 19:27Speaker 1: talking about how there will be these agents and there's
- 19:29Speaker 1: not they're not even real agents. There's no there is
- 19:31Speaker 1: no an FLPA, right, there's no union, so there are
- 19:37Speaker 1: no rules, so you don't have to be an agent.
- 19:40Speaker 1: And he was talking about people that aren't even agents.
- 19:42Speaker 1: I hones to say it's me. I'll use me as
- 19:43Speaker 1: an example. Let's say Reid's playing for Arkansas State and
- 19:48Speaker 1: I don't even know I just call a school. Let's
- 19:51Speaker 1: say I call University of Arkansas and well, I got
- 19:53Speaker 1: read here, he's a defensive end. If I could get
- 19:55Speaker 1: him into the portal, how much would you give him.
- 19:58Speaker 1: I haven't even told read I'm doing this, but I'm
- 20:00Speaker 1: calling and they're like fifty thousand dollars. I send read
- 20:03Speaker 1: a message, Hey, read box, I give fifty thousand bucks
- 20:06Speaker 1: if you get in the portal. And he's like, what really, really,
- 20:09Speaker 1: Reid had to make no calls, didn't know someone was
- 20:10Speaker 1: making a call. But these agents are making calls trying
- 20:14Speaker 1: to chum up their percentages.
- 20:17Speaker 4: Wow.
- 20:18Speaker 1: And not only that, like real agents in professional sports
- 20:21Speaker 1: make two to three percent because you're dealing big contracts.
- 20:24Speaker 1: These agents, because again there are no rules and regulations.
- 20:26Speaker 1: They're making twelve, fifteen to twenty percent big money. So
- 20:31Speaker 1: it's got to get totally effed up before it ever
- 20:33Speaker 1: gets back to normal.
- 20:34Speaker 5: And so let it go and then in twenty years
- 20:37Speaker 5: a bunch of legal stuff.
- 20:39Speaker 1: Yeah, that's I mean, that's pendulum swings right constantly.
- 20:43Speaker 4: But like you know, you look at Heisman like Dylan Gabriel,
- 20:47Speaker 4: I don't think probably wouldn't have been a Heisman contender
- 20:50Speaker 4: if you would have stayed in.
- 20:51Speaker 1: Oklahoma UCF and then Oklahoma.
- 20:54Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, you know, so like some of that
- 20:56Speaker 4: that's crazy, how like it's changed the trajectory of a
- 20:59Speaker 4: lot of these players.
- 21:00Speaker 1: Well, I think the portal and in il and are
- 21:04Speaker 1: all separately. They all can be extremely positive things. It's
- 21:10Speaker 1: kind of the alchemy of the comp boom, and that
- 21:15Speaker 1: is where the trouble is. Yeah, Bonnicks would have never had
- 21:17Speaker 1: a shot bone Nicks. Yeah. I think there are a
- 21:19Speaker 1: lot of times where a player needs a different scenario
- 21:24Speaker 1: or different coaching staff, or has made some mistakes and
- 21:27Speaker 1: needs to get out from underneath. Sure, no problem with it,
- 21:30Speaker 1: But what are the rules? Because there are no rules?
- 21:33Speaker 1: So you know, you sign an IL. There should be
- 21:36Speaker 1: some kind of contract. There should be some kind of union.
- 21:38Speaker 1: There should be a couple of years. You shouldn't be
- 21:40Speaker 1: able to leave every year right now. Leave You should
- 21:43Speaker 1: leave every quarter right now. There should be no rules.
- 21:45Speaker 1: If you didn't get to play that quarter, you're out
- 21:47Speaker 1: of here. Yes, but eventually there will be It will
- 21:50Speaker 1: be more than one year. There will be rules to this,
- 21:54Speaker 1: but there will not be until it's so out of hand.
- 21:57Speaker 1: So there you go. That's my take on them. Thank
- 22:00Speaker 1: you very much. Uh we hit our parlay? Should we sell?
- 22:05Speaker 1: I mean we should celebrate.
- 22:06Speaker 4: We should celebrate. I got champagne it.
- 22:09Speaker 1: Chief minus four Browns win, Bengals minus five of Titans win,
- 22:12Speaker 1: Packers minus three Seahawks win. Nice job, everybody, DraftKings. Uh,
- 22:18Speaker 1: we weren't up on the app, but I preferred that
- 22:20Speaker 1: there's less pressure. But everybody, everybody can roll with us.
- 22:23Speaker 4: It's like, right, that's when we win.
- 22:25Speaker 1: When we're not roll roll baby. I'm so excited about
- 22:28Speaker 1: this weekend's game though, Like the college football games season,
- 22:32Speaker 1: it's gonna be no no, I mean the CFP, Yeah,
- 22:34Speaker 1: sure started that garbage.
- 22:37Speaker 4: Did you enjoy the week off or were you kind
- 22:40Speaker 4: of like itching, been so sick. I'll see you kind
- 22:42Speaker 4: of needed that break.
- 22:43Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean I wasn't with play one hundred percent,
- 22:45Speaker 1: so coach let me out. That's not what I meant,
- 22:50Speaker 1: by the way. Pick six it's also it's a different app,
- 22:52Speaker 1: but it's so it's a ton of fun. And there's
- 22:55Speaker 1: some places maybe you can't do DraftKings that you can
- 22:58Speaker 1: you can do Pick six. Check it out. So you
- 23:01Speaker 1: select two more players you choose, it will have more
- 23:03Speaker 1: or less of a stat like receptions of touchdowns and
- 23:05Speaker 1: rushing yards the options for Monday Night Football justin Jefferson,
- 23:08Speaker 1: more or less than eighty one receiving yards, and it's
- 23:10Speaker 1: bears of Vikings. It's more. It's more. The answer is more,
- 23:13Speaker 1: always more, and more and more. It's always more, yeah,
- 23:15Speaker 1: whatever that's for Justin Jefferson more, DJ Moore more or
- 23:18Speaker 1: less than fifty seven receiving yards. You know, I'm gonna
- 23:20Speaker 1: go more to I think, just because they're probably going
- 23:23Speaker 1: to be down what the right?
- 23:25Speaker 4: More and more more?
- 23:27Speaker 1: Yeah, Sam Darnold more or less than two fifty three
- 23:29Speaker 1: passing yards. Let's go more more more you are seeing
- 23:34Speaker 1: higher you more passing yards? Yeah, a bit uh. Caleb
- 23:38Speaker 1: Williams more or less than two twenty three? Why not more?
- 23:41Speaker 6: Why not? You know what?
- 23:42Speaker 1: Why not? Why not invested? But it is a lot
- 23:45Speaker 1: of fun. Check out DraftKings Pick six. It's a it's

- 24:21Speaker 1: Okay, now we're gonna get over and talk with the
- 24:22Speaker 1: former NFL quarterback and he's now known as one of
- 24:25Speaker 1: the best quarterback coaches in the nation, Jordan Palmer. Jordan
- 24:29Speaker 1: has worked and trained and tutored players like Patrick Mahomes,
- 24:32Speaker 1: Josh Allen, Joe Burrow, Sam Darnold. He has a nutrition
- 24:35Speaker 1: company he just started called Thread Performance. I need to
- 24:37Speaker 1: get on that for myself, although it looks like it's
- 24:38Speaker 1: for kids for yeah, but failure with me, it'd be
- 24:41Speaker 1: pretty good. Check it out thread performance dot com. Big
- 24:45Speaker 1: thanks to Jordan for coming on. Also, Carson Palmer's younger brother,
- 24:48Speaker 1: they played on this team at the same time.
- 24:49Speaker 5: Yeah, point mangles.
- 24:50Speaker 1: Yeah, Carson was starter, Jordan was backup. So cool here
- 24:55Speaker 1: he is Jordan Palmer. Hey, Jordan, before I get to
- 24:58Speaker 1: anything else, because I was just watching Josh Allen. I
- 25:00Speaker 1: know Josh Allen, Like that's that's one of the guys, right,
- 25:03Speaker 1: like watching his d.
- 25:05Speaker 6: N Josh Allen for the Jaguars or the quarterbacks.
- 25:08Speaker 1: I'm assuming the quarterbacks that you're the quarterback guy, right, Okay,
- 25:11Speaker 1: the same page, And Josh Allen for the Jags now
- 25:13Speaker 1: is a new name. It's like he had to add
- 25:15Speaker 1: like a middle name so you didn't get him confused
- 25:18Speaker 1: to it too. Talk about Josh Allen like your guy,
- 25:22Speaker 1: because it has been the maturation of him going the
- 25:27Speaker 1: guy that just throws hard to the guy now that's
- 25:29Speaker 1: running three and throwing three in the same game and
- 25:32Speaker 1: is making it equally as good as decisions Like what
- 25:35Speaker 1: has it been like and why has he been able
- 25:37Speaker 1: to mature so quickly?
- 25:40Speaker 6: Well, I think he was kind of born to do this.
- 25:44Speaker 8: And the way that God designed him this is it
- 25:48Speaker 8: was funny. I uh, it was during the draft process
- 25:51Speaker 8: when he was out here and I was doing interviews,
- 25:53Speaker 8: and at this point it sounds funny now, but at
- 25:55Speaker 8: this point in his career, I was trying to like
- 25:57Speaker 8: lobby for him, like I go in the media, go
- 25:59Speaker 8: on the herd, and I'd be like I got the
- 26:00Speaker 8: In fact, I went on the Herd and Colin wanted
- 26:02Speaker 8: to talk about Sam Darnold and he didn't know I
- 26:05Speaker 8: was training Josh, and he goes, well, obviously Josh Allen
- 26:07Speaker 8: kids good, the Wyom kids gonna be a bust. But
- 26:08Speaker 8: let's talk about Sam Darnal. I go, hold on, I
- 26:11Speaker 8: work with him too. Let me let me just try
- 26:13Speaker 8: and sell you on him real quick, right, And so
- 26:16Speaker 8: I was that was kind of like that phase when
- 26:17Speaker 8: all the conversations with Josh during the draft process were
- 26:21Speaker 8: trying to convince people, not convince people, but just representing
- 26:25Speaker 8: his behalf in the media.
- 26:26Speaker 6: You know, my own words, not his, But how good
- 26:29Speaker 6: are you it gonna be? And all this? And I
- 26:31Speaker 6: did a Sports Illustrated interview.
- 26:33Speaker 8: And I said, Josh is the best athlete pound for
- 26:38Speaker 8: pound to play the quarterback position.
- 26:41Speaker 6: And uh. And I doubled down on after his.
- 26:42Speaker 8: Rookie year when he didn't have a great rookie year,
- 26:44Speaker 8: and I got smoked in the comment section. They put
- 26:47Speaker 8: it on Instagram, they put it on Twitter and stuff
- 26:49Speaker 8: like that, and I got I had a blast just
- 26:51Speaker 8: reading the comments, and I got smoked. And my point was,
- 26:54Speaker 8: this is like the way I don't I don't care
- 26:57Speaker 8: about sporty time, the way he runs, because some guys
- 26:59Speaker 8: run fast forties, but they're not great runners, and some
- 27:02Speaker 8: guys don't run fast forties.
- 27:03Speaker 6: But they're great runners, right, And.
- 27:06Speaker 8: That's a different skill than timing yourself to run from
- 27:09Speaker 8: zero to forty yards very quickly. Right, And I go,
- 27:12Speaker 8: he's like at the time, he's like two fifty five.
- 27:15Speaker 8: He's got maybe the best arm I've seen, which is
- 27:17Speaker 8: a strong statement because I've basically seen everybody.
- 27:21Speaker 6: But he's an elite, dynamic runner.
- 27:22Speaker 8: He's one of the best runners in the league, like
- 27:24Speaker 8: ball carriers, like biggest threat when you're in the open
- 27:27Speaker 8: field with them. And I made that point, and you
- 27:30Speaker 8: look at the Vics and these other guys lamar, and
- 27:32Speaker 8: it's like, and these guys who've been great runners. And
- 27:34Speaker 8: I'm not saying he's as fast as those guys, but
- 27:36Speaker 8: I'm like, he's got fifty pounds on them. It's not
- 27:39Speaker 8: even the same thing. And so I think that was
- 27:41Speaker 8: always there. And then you go back early with Josh Shellen.
- 27:44Speaker 8: He grew up on a farm. You know, he's got
- 27:45Speaker 8: three siblings. His dad is his idol and super hard working.
- 27:49Speaker 8: So when you grew up on a farm. I used
- 27:51Speaker 8: to make this comment all the time, like, and a
- 27:53Speaker 8: pipe breaks, right, your dad does not call the plumber
- 27:57Speaker 8: when my pipe broke At my house, my dad called
- 27:59Speaker 8: the plumber. I wouldn't even there for it. When you
- 28:01Speaker 8: go up on a farm in the pipe breaks, your
- 28:02Speaker 8: dad wakes up at four am and he goes, wake
- 28:04Speaker 8: up boys, I'm teach you guys how to fix this pipe.
- 28:06Speaker 8: And then the next time it breaks, the dad wakes.
- 28:09Speaker 6: It up and goes go fix it.
- 28:10Speaker 8: And so you become a problem solver and you have
- 28:12Speaker 8: to carry heavy things all the time, and you get
- 28:15Speaker 8: up early and you go to bed late, and and
- 28:17Speaker 8: so like I think, like all the things, like the
- 28:19Speaker 8: physical attributes and then the toughness and the work ethic
- 28:22Speaker 8: and all of that stuff, but I think the biggest
- 28:26Speaker 8: thing that Buffalo fans know this now and I don't.
- 28:29Speaker 8: And I think maybe the national media is starting to
- 28:31Speaker 8: see this is as unique as his physical skill set
- 28:35Speaker 8: is and all ourgulays has been. But as unique as
- 28:37Speaker 8: his physical skill set is, his personality is equally as unique.
- 28:41Speaker 8: And I don't mean unique like he's different, I mean
- 28:43Speaker 8: like unique, like like he might be the coolest guy
- 28:46Speaker 8: I've met, like the the nicest friend, the kindest, the
- 28:51Speaker 8: like the most selfless, the funniest, the sharp So like
- 28:55Speaker 8: it's not just like we get so enamored by the highlights,
- 28:57Speaker 8: and it's easy for your eye to go there. But
- 28:59Speaker 8: I I think Buffalo realizes, you know, the fan base now,
- 29:03Speaker 8: the teammates from day one like how cool he is,
- 29:05Speaker 8: and that's relevant to me. It doesn't show up in
- 29:07Speaker 8: the draft process, but it's relevant to me. And then
- 29:09Speaker 8: the last piece is he said multiple coordinators, and right
- 29:12Speaker 8: now he's got a coordinator in Joe Brady. Joe Brady
- 29:14Speaker 8: worked with Sam Darnold in Carolina, who I've worked with,
- 29:18Speaker 8: and worked with Joe Burrow in college who I work with,
- 29:21Speaker 8: and it's like, and Josh is as smart as any
- 29:24Speaker 8: of these guys to come in here and enter into
- 29:26Speaker 8: that room, and so to have the context and these
- 29:28Speaker 8: different coaches go that dude's one of the sharpest dudes
- 29:30Speaker 8: I've been around.
- 29:31Speaker 6: So it's all three. It's the physical, the mental, and
- 29:33Speaker 6: the emotional.
- 29:34Speaker 1: You talk about certain things like growing up in skills
- 29:38Speaker 1: that he like Josh had, like working at the farm.
- 29:40Speaker 1: And I'm not sure if you work with Drake May
- 29:42Speaker 1: at all or not, but I'm curious as to certain
- 29:45Speaker 1: quarterbacks are wired certain ways where Drake May his family
- 29:49Speaker 1: like he's got to prove himself within his family much less,
- 29:52Speaker 1: you know, just be the guy that makes it in
- 29:54Speaker 1: the NFL. But if you're like the youngest kid, are
- 29:56Speaker 1: a lot of those home factors do they end up
- 29:59Speaker 1: kind of manifest being themselves on the field. And it
- 30:01Speaker 1: does separate some of those guys by based in what
- 30:04Speaker 1: scenario they lived in growing up.
- 30:07Speaker 6: One hundred percent. So I'm a father of four.
- 30:10Speaker 8: I have three boys, nine, six, and two, and then
- 30:13Speaker 8: I have a baby girl.
- 30:14Speaker 6: So just four months old. I see it right now.
- 30:17Speaker 8: This morning, my kids play these things called block of roofs,
- 30:19Speaker 8: the little magnet things that you build new assemble and
- 30:22Speaker 8: all that stuff. And my six year old was building
- 30:24Speaker 8: the zip line for his for his action figures, and
- 30:28Speaker 8: then my two year old comes in and smacks it
- 30:29Speaker 8: down and he shoves him on the ground like you
- 30:31Speaker 8: can't push him, and then he pops back up, and
- 30:32Speaker 8: my two year old like gets up off the ground
- 30:34Speaker 8: like ready to square up and fight the six year old,
- 30:36Speaker 8: and like like I'm kidding, but I'm not, Like that's
- 30:40Speaker 8: totally part of it. It's different than like my two
- 30:42Speaker 8: year old's going to grow up with his older brothers
- 30:45Speaker 8: pushing him back and not letting him go. And if
- 30:46Speaker 8: they wants to go ride scooters, he's gonna have to
- 30:48Speaker 8: go fast and catch up. They aren't gonna wait for him. Like,
- 30:52Speaker 8: I totally think that that's relevant, and think about it.
- 30:54Speaker 8: That's going to be his education, Like that's that's how
- 30:57Speaker 8: he's like getting into this world. That's all he's gonna know.
- 31:01Speaker 8: And so Drake may I have been around him quite
- 31:04Speaker 8: a bit. And you know, when you're playing basketball and
- 31:07Speaker 8: you're against your brother who's one older and two like
- 31:09Speaker 8: a d one great basketball player like that, he's not
- 31:12Speaker 8: gonna let you get rebounds, like you're gonna have to
- 31:14Speaker 8: box him out. And so the accumulation of those reps
- 31:18Speaker 8: of fighting for yourself and seeing up for yourself and
- 31:20Speaker 8: getting back up and competing and games to eleven and
- 31:24Speaker 8: you lose eleven zero, and so you can lose eleven
- 31:28Speaker 8: to one, and then eleven two, and then at some
- 31:30Speaker 8: point hopefully it's ten to ten. Got a win by two,
- 31:33Speaker 8: And so I think like the evolution of a kid
- 31:35Speaker 8: growing up with that, I'll argue that's far more valuable
- 31:38Speaker 8: for their development than whatever they're going to learn at school.
- 31:41Speaker 1: When you're working with a quarterback and Let's use two
- 31:43Speaker 1: different kinds of examples. Like a bon Knicks who uh
- 31:46Speaker 1: went through a lot at Auburn obviously like his dad was,
- 31:49Speaker 1: like the guy at Auburn. So he goes to Auburn
- 31:52Speaker 1: and they kind of ran him out, and so then
- 31:54Speaker 1: he goes to Oregon and succeeds. So he went to
- 31:58Speaker 1: a lot of adversity, and he played a lot of
- 32:00Speaker 1: quarterbacks Anthony like Michael Panics junior right, like got hurt
- 32:03Speaker 1: Indiana Washington. So all this happens with those two kind
- 32:06Speaker 1: of guys. However, and then you take a guy like
- 32:08Speaker 1: a Anthony Richardson who does not play a lot of
- 32:10Speaker 1: snaps at quarterback crazy athletes, but doesn't have a lot
- 32:14Speaker 1: of experience at playing games in college. Will you treat
- 32:18Speaker 1: them differently while training them because of the education that
- 32:21Speaker 1: they have through college and through adversity.
- 32:25Speaker 8: Well, it starts with the evaluation process for me, and
- 32:28Speaker 8: not that I'm going to make some stand outside of
- 32:31Speaker 8: my building and I'm going to evaluate him before I
- 32:33Speaker 8: let them come in. But I want I want to
- 32:36Speaker 8: be right the guys I trained right, You've started the interview.
- 32:40Speaker 6: Asked me about Josh Allens, and I was right.
- 32:41Speaker 8: On right, So like I want to be right, and
- 32:44Speaker 8: I want what's best for these guys, and I wanted
- 32:45Speaker 8: to reach their potential. But there's a couple of things
- 32:48Speaker 8: where if a guy has anything on this list of
- 32:50Speaker 8: things that I can't help you with, then I don't
- 32:52Speaker 8: know how good that guy's going to be. One of
- 32:54Speaker 8: the things that I look for is context for adversity. Now,
- 32:59Speaker 8: not manu extra diversity, because if you grew up with
- 33:02Speaker 8: a silver spoon in your mouth and everything was easy, like,
- 33:06Speaker 8: I can't fault you for that, right, that was your parents.
- 33:08Speaker 6: They did that right.
- 33:09Speaker 8: My brother and I grew up wealthy Orange County kids
- 33:12Speaker 8: in southern California.
- 33:13Speaker 6: Like it's not it's not a knock on me. That's
- 33:16Speaker 6: how I grew up.
- 33:18Speaker 8: But when I see an athlete who's been through adversity,
- 33:21Speaker 8: and there are a lot of different levels of adversity,
- 33:24Speaker 8: and I look at how they've handled it, that becomes
- 33:29Speaker 8: it becomes like like a process and there's a pattern
- 33:32Speaker 8: that exists there. And so let me show you this.
- 33:37Speaker 8: This is this is my logo. Okay, QB summit, this
- 33:40Speaker 8: is my business. So there's a mountain range, right, this
- 33:44Speaker 8: is your career it's up, it's down, it's up, it's down,
- 33:47Speaker 8: it's up. Like, I haven't seen this career. I don't
- 33:49Speaker 8: know if it's doing this right, go in the top
- 33:50Speaker 8: right corner, right, it might be backwards, Okay, I don't know.
- 33:54Speaker 8: I haven't seen that career right where like they started
- 33:57Speaker 8: off and then they like were the best eighth grade
- 33:58Speaker 8: quarterback ever and then went Tohigh School and they won
- 34:00Speaker 8: the championships and they got millions dollars in the nil
- 34:02Speaker 8: and then they got the gatory thing and they go
- 34:04Speaker 8: to college and then they were like even Trevor Lawrence,
- 34:06Speaker 8: where you his Adidas campaign was number one since day one,
- 34:09Speaker 8: and I met him in eighth grade, so like he
- 34:10Speaker 8: was literally number one. That guy went through a lot
- 34:12Speaker 8: of stuff, a lot of pressure of being the number
- 34:14Speaker 8: one recruit in the country.
- 34:14Speaker 6: Is a sophomore night school.
- 34:15Speaker 8: When you're fifteen, you don't know anything, And so I
- 34:18Speaker 8: look for guys who've been through adversity to see what
- 34:21Speaker 8: their context is for adversity. And so one of the
- 34:25Speaker 8: things that I love about bo Nix's story, and I
- 34:27Speaker 8: would say Michael Pennix as well. I've spent a lot
- 34:29Speaker 8: of time with bo Is Bo was the kid who
- 34:32Speaker 8: this happened, right, He was like the best middle school kid.
- 34:35Speaker 8: And then he was on Cam Newton's flag football there
- 34:37Speaker 8: seven on seventeen in high school, which basically like his
- 34:40Speaker 8: receivers were like George Pickens and like, you know, a
- 34:43Speaker 8: bunch of the other top recruits in the country, and
- 34:45Speaker 8: he was like the number one recruit in the country.
- 34:47Speaker 6: I coached them at the Lead eleven.
- 34:48Speaker 8: I was the coordinator on his team and we lost
- 34:51Speaker 8: in the championship and that and Spencer Rallery was the
- 34:54Speaker 8: MVP and bo Nix was runner up, Like he was
- 34:56Speaker 8: always number one, And he went to Auburn and he
- 34:59Speaker 8: played for at an offense that I don't think you
- 35:01Speaker 8: can succeed in. In Gus Malzan's offense, I think it
- 35:03Speaker 8: was really hard to find success. I didn't like the concepts,
- 35:06Speaker 8: and I don't know about the talent around him because
- 35:09Speaker 8: I don't know how to score it. But like he
- 35:11Speaker 8: was just put in this situation where I don't know
- 35:13Speaker 8: how you can be successful, and so they kind of
- 35:16Speaker 8: ran him out of there, to your point, right, like
- 35:17Speaker 8: they boot him and he's a bust and he's this.
- 35:19Speaker 8: And I did another interview and they said, what is
- 35:23Speaker 8: bo Nix's ceiling? And I said, I don't care what's
- 35:25Speaker 8: been happening with bo Nix. I know how he works,
- 35:27Speaker 8: I know how he plays, I know how he treats
- 35:29Speaker 8: his teammates, I know how he goes about his position.
- 35:32Speaker 8: Like his context is like top ten pick and I
- 35:34Speaker 8: got smoked in the comment section at this time this
- 35:37Speaker 8: guy was transferred. My bad, I was off one pick,
- 35:41Speaker 8: win eleventh or whatever, right, Because my point is like,
- 35:43Speaker 8: put him in a good situation and this guy will thrive.
- 35:46Speaker 6: And I think he's gonna be offensive review of the year.
- 35:48Speaker 8: And so when you look at when I look at
- 35:50Speaker 8: a player, and if I was a college coach and
- 35:53Speaker 8: an NFL evaluator looking at it, one of the first
- 35:55Speaker 8: things I need to figure out is what is your
- 35:56Speaker 8: context for adversity? Because look at Trevor Lawrence, right, that
- 36:00Speaker 8: whole crazy career of everything going awesome. Yeah, and then
- 36:04Speaker 8: he had like one of the hardest rookie seasons I've
- 36:05Speaker 8: ever seen a quarterback have. And he's declient of mine, Like,
- 36:08Speaker 8: that was a really difficult rookie year. And so you
- 36:12Speaker 8: better have some context for it, because I don't want
- 36:15Speaker 8: to make you my starting quarterback and then win adversity hits.
- 36:18Speaker 6: It's the first time you've ever experienced it.
- 36:21Speaker 1: Sam Darnold is an example of professional adversity. Gets drafted
- 36:25Speaker 1: to Jets place for the Panthers, we've now seen those
- 36:27Speaker 1: are two places that quarterbacks go to die for the
- 36:29Speaker 1: most part, gets to go be with forty nine ers
- 36:34Speaker 1: and now he's killing it with Minnesota. Is that a
- 36:37Speaker 1: guy that had been through it? Or did he have
- 36:39Speaker 1: to develop this callus once he got pro I think.
- 36:43Speaker 6: I think a lot of it is the way that
- 36:44Speaker 6: Sam's raised very very hard working parents, and he grew
- 36:50Speaker 6: up in southern California. So I think people think that
- 36:52Speaker 6: he's a surfer and was rich, and that's that's not
- 36:54Speaker 6: the case, but very blue collar, very humble.
- 36:59Speaker 8: And I met him when he was four team and
- 37:02Speaker 8: and so he goes to SC and they weren't really
- 37:05Speaker 8: developing quarterbacks there at that point, in my opinion. He
- 37:08Speaker 8: just kind of ran around and made plays and and
- 37:11Speaker 8: uh and he had this crazy reds you freshman year
- 37:14Speaker 8: where he routed off nine straight and was rose bowm BP.
- 37:17Speaker 6: We probably all remember that.
- 37:19Speaker 8: You know that he came became Sam Darnold, that game
- 37:22Speaker 8: and then followed it up and had a decent year,
- 37:24Speaker 8: but good enough to be the third pick in the draft.
- 37:25Speaker 8: And yeah, I was nervous the whole way through knowing
- 37:27Speaker 8: that that was the floor in the draft for him
- 37:29Speaker 8: at three because for all the reasons, I'm not going
- 37:34Speaker 8: to educate you on how the Jets have struggled to
- 37:37Speaker 8: develop quarterbacks, but but yeah, I was put in a really,
- 37:41Speaker 8: I think, an impossible situation to succeed, not really given
- 37:44Speaker 8: anything other than new coordinators every year. And if you
- 37:47Speaker 8: look at it too, he got coaches who didn't get
- 37:50Speaker 8: jobs after that, right, Like, I don't know.
- 37:53Speaker 1: If Adam yeah Gas is not. I don't think a.
- 37:57Speaker 6: Role back to college.
- 37:57Speaker 5: Yeah, you know what I mean.
- 37:59Speaker 6: So, and then the part that nobody catches is probably
- 38:05Speaker 6: four years ago.
- 38:05Speaker 8: He's in Carolina and it was the year when they
- 38:08Speaker 8: traded Christian. So Christian got hurt Week four at Houston.
- 38:12Speaker 8: I was at that game through the first three games
- 38:15Speaker 8: of that year. Joe Brady was his coordinator. Joe Brady's
- 38:17Speaker 8: the coordinator of the Bills. Now Sam was rolling, playing
- 38:22Speaker 8: great football, and they built the whole offense around Christian.
- 38:25Speaker 8: But I'm not saying he was playing great because he
- 38:26Speaker 8: was handed a lot of Christian every play. I'm saying
- 38:28Speaker 8: like he was no, he looked great, and then Christian
- 38:30Speaker 8: got hurt and then they just really struggled to have
- 38:32Speaker 8: an identity. You know, Robbie Chosen was his main receiver
- 38:35Speaker 8: and you know what I mean. So it was just
- 38:37Speaker 8: a tough situation and the year unraveled on him. And
- 38:40Speaker 8: then Matt Rule came in, and then Baker Mayfield came in,
- 38:42Speaker 8: and then Cam Newton came in, and it.
- 38:44Speaker 6: Was just like, well, here's how to not develop a quarterback.
- 38:47Speaker 6: And then.
- 38:49Speaker 8: Coming out of there, he goes to Sam Fran. And
- 38:51Speaker 8: it was a smart move to go to Sam Fran
- 38:52Speaker 8: because my point that I made to him, I help
- 38:54Speaker 8: guys out in free agency all the time, just making decisions,
- 38:57Speaker 8: is I said, Sam, you've never had context for being
- 39:00Speaker 8: in a winning locker room. You've never been around a
- 39:02Speaker 8: bunch of guys where every single person you look at
- 39:04Speaker 8: as a winner, and just everyone in the NFL is
- 39:07Speaker 8: not a winner. And so going to San Fran, I'll
- 39:11Speaker 8: get to Kyle Shanahan the second, but in San Fran
- 39:14Speaker 8: and I don't care what the record is right now,
- 39:16Speaker 8: these guys for the last four years have either been
- 39:18Speaker 8: to the NFC Title Game in the Super Bowl.
- 39:19Speaker 1: Right.
- 39:20Speaker 8: So when you the San Francisco forty nine ers, the
- 39:23Speaker 8: best players on the team, if I said rank the
- 39:25Speaker 8: best players, those are also like I don't know where
- 39:27Speaker 8: Devo's on that list, but everybody else like is also
- 39:30Speaker 8: the hardest working, most bought in guy, Christian McCaffrey, George Kittle, juice,
- 39:34Speaker 8: you know what I mean, the left ackle like Bosa.
- 39:38Speaker 8: So that's a team where the best players are also
- 39:41Speaker 8: the most bought in. And that's not true. I can
- 39:44Speaker 8: speak from experience. That is not true everywhere. And so
- 39:47Speaker 8: to go and immerse yourself and not have to be
- 39:49Speaker 8: the vocal leader, to sit back. And by the way,
- 39:51Speaker 8: Rock Purdy super hard working, super bought in, one of
- 39:55Speaker 8: the best players on the team. Right, So when you
- 39:57Speaker 8: look at it, get to go be around that a year,
- 40:01Speaker 8: and by the way, go to the Super Bowl and
- 40:03Speaker 8: Watchbrock pretty play and then get to the Kyle Shanahan
- 40:06Speaker 8: how much you learn and they might run the exact
- 40:08Speaker 8: same concept he's ran before, but Kyle explains it differently
- 40:11Speaker 8: or sow's this different angle, and it's like, oh, man,
- 40:13Speaker 8: I never even though about That's easier to think about
- 40:14Speaker 8: it like that, Kyle's just a fantastic teacher, and so
- 40:17Speaker 8: to go and get to do that and sharpen it
- 40:20Speaker 8: kind of in the quiet, like in the dark, nobody's watching,
- 40:22Speaker 8: nobody was watching Sam Darnald last year, to then put
- 40:25Speaker 8: him in a position to be in a situation where
- 40:27Speaker 8: now he's the guy and has a lot of those
- 40:29Speaker 8: same things. Those players in Minnesota are really bought in.
- 40:31Speaker 8: That coaching staff's phenomenal across the ward, it's a great culture.
- 40:36Speaker 8: And then to play for a coach who played the
- 40:38Speaker 8: position two coaches, because Josh McCown is his quarterback coach.
- 40:42Speaker 8: I don't think it's magic. I don't think it's luck,
- 40:44Speaker 8: and I don't think it's just justin Jefferson. I think
- 40:48Speaker 8: it's a combination of Sam weathering the storm of six
- 40:51Speaker 8: years of kind of getting punched in the stomach and
- 40:54Speaker 8: remaining neutral about it, not getting too high or too low.
- 40:58Speaker 8: So from a sport psychology perspective, remaining very neutral. He's
- 41:01Speaker 8: a very neutral thinker. It's something I teach and I
- 41:05Speaker 8: always tell guys like Sam who are really talented, really
- 41:07Speaker 8: bought in work hard. I just say, look, in my experience,
- 41:11Speaker 8: there will be a time and a place where all
- 41:13Speaker 8: you have to do is play to the best of
- 41:14Speaker 8: your ability, and you will be in every game with
- 41:17Speaker 8: a chance to make a Roundia. That's a verbatim quote,
- 41:21Speaker 8: And I've been telling him that for about five years,
- 41:24Speaker 8: and he's now in a place where all he has
- 41:26Speaker 8: to do is play the best of visibilities and they're
- 41:28Speaker 8: going to be in every single game with a chance
- 41:30Speaker 8: to make around the end.
- 41:31Speaker 1: What's the advice should you give a guy like a
- 41:33Speaker 1: let's say, a cam Ward or a Shot or or
- 41:36Speaker 1: any of the guys going in even last year, and
- 41:38Speaker 1: you know they're going into a situation that Cleveland or
- 41:43Speaker 1: the Raiders that don't have a history at least in
- 41:45Speaker 1: the past few years of developing a quarterback, and it
- 41:48Speaker 1: doesn't look like they'll be surrounded by the best, Like,
- 41:51Speaker 1: how do you keep their heads on straight?
- 41:55Speaker 6: Well, it's a great question.
- 41:57Speaker 8: It can feel the narrative can feel like a dead end, right,
- 42:02Speaker 8: like Cleveland took me. I mean my brother contact here.
- 42:05Speaker 8: My brother was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals number one.
- 42:08Speaker 8: Fact right, so like and and this is when he
- 42:13Speaker 8: talked about this. So my brother won the Heisman and
- 42:17Speaker 8: he was in New York and he did the media
- 42:19Speaker 8: tour and so I think it was CBS was there
- 42:22Speaker 8: at the time, and then people were James Brown, who's
- 42:24Speaker 8: shout out James Brown and the greatest guys on TV ever,
- 42:28Speaker 8: and Chris Simms and whoever else, and then Boomera Sison
- 42:33Speaker 8: and Boomer Sison was a quarterback for the Bengals a
- 42:35Speaker 8: long time ago like that.
- 42:36Speaker 6: He was the greatest Bengals quarterback before.
- 42:38Speaker 8: My brother, then before Joe Brow right, and and so
- 42:40Speaker 8: he wins to the Heisman. He goes there and kind
- 42:42Speaker 8: of locked my brother up to be. Then I'm one
- 42:43Speaker 8: back at that point and he's doing the interview and
- 42:45Speaker 8: everyone's like, oh, yeah, congratulations, So tell me about what
- 42:47Speaker 8: you're gonna do, you know, doing the whole deal, and
- 42:49Speaker 8: boomeracides and hand them's the handsom of Bengals helmet, and
- 42:51Speaker 8: he goes, congratulations and welcome to the Cincinnati Bengals where
- 42:55Speaker 8: quarterbacks come to die. And that really stuck with my
- 42:59Speaker 8: brother because Boomer is like a really sharp, credible, good guy,
- 43:03Speaker 8: you know, like he's not like he's not a lightning rod,
- 43:06Speaker 8: you know, and that that that comment I think sat
- 43:10Speaker 8: with my brother for a while. And I'm not speaking
- 43:13Speaker 8: for him, but like I know that was the thing.
- 43:16Speaker 8: And and and then what happened is the narrative kind
- 43:18Speaker 8: of came out. And then you hear about them all
- 43:19Speaker 8: the time and all these problems. But here's the antidote
- 43:22Speaker 8: for that. Joe Burrow heard those exact same things.
- 43:25Speaker 6: Right.
- 43:26Speaker 8: I trained Joe for the draft, and he's climbed out
- 43:27Speaker 8: like he was the number one pick. The Bengals are
- 43:29Speaker 8: gonna take him. They weren't going to move off the pick.
- 43:31Speaker 8: Anybody could have.
- 43:32Speaker 6: Traded anything, they weren't going to do it right.
- 43:34Speaker 8: And he went to the Super Bowl his second year
- 43:36Speaker 8: there off of an acl And so if I'm talking
- 43:41Speaker 8: to Shadur or Cam, I go the narrative is the narrative.
- 43:44Speaker 8: Let's say it's Cleveland or the Raiders. Okay, the narrative
- 43:47Speaker 8: is the narrative, but you create the narrative moving forward.
- 43:50Speaker 8: So I talk a lot about neutral thinking. One of
- 43:53Speaker 8: my best friends he passed away a couple of years ago,
- 43:54Speaker 8: Trevor Moad was arguably the top performance psychologist in the world,
- 43:58Speaker 8: and he had a really interesting perspective on explaining how
- 44:02Speaker 8: the past doesn't have to have anything to do with
- 44:06Speaker 8: the future, Like like you can't prove that it does. Now,
- 44:10Speaker 8: we can take the momentum of something that's happened, how
- 44:13Speaker 8: terrible everything's gone, how awesome everything's gone. We can take
- 44:16Speaker 8: that momentum into the next thing. But it doesn't have
- 44:21Speaker 8: to have anything to do with that. And so the
- 44:23Speaker 8: ability to reset, whether it's Sam Darnold resetting personally each year,
- 44:27Speaker 8: or Joe Burrow going to the Bengals going, look, I
- 44:29Speaker 8: know how things have gone, but that's not how they're
- 44:32Speaker 8: gonna go or it should, or cam or whoever going
- 44:34Speaker 8: going to Cleveland, going to whoever it is, and like
- 44:36Speaker 8: that past doesn't have to have anything to do with it.
- 44:38Speaker 8: The last piece of advice I give guys when they
- 44:40Speaker 8: come in is you're going to be celebrated so much
- 44:42Speaker 8: for all that you do during the draft process. You're
- 44:44Speaker 8: going to see your own highlights all the time on TV,
- 44:47Speaker 8: all the time on social media. You better be damn
- 44:49Speaker 8: sure that you are consciously, almost almost like through a
- 44:54Speaker 8: level of paranoia, trying to address the things that you
- 44:57Speaker 8: can actually fix right now, the things that you can
- 45:00Speaker 8: improve on, because it's so easy to go through the
- 45:02Speaker 8: motions and then go get draft and make be so
- 45:04Speaker 8: set on the draft or the Shrine Bowl or the
- 45:08Speaker 8: you know, combine or my workout. You can get so
- 45:11Speaker 8: set on these individual events that are ahead of you
- 45:13Speaker 8: that you better be damn sure be focusing on what
- 45:16Speaker 8: do I need to fix right now that work for
- 45:18Speaker 8: me in college that will not work next year? Who
- 45:20Speaker 8: can I have around me who's going to point those
- 45:21Speaker 8: things out? And how do I obsess over those things?
- 45:24Speaker 8: Because once the draft happens and you put that hat on,
- 45:26Speaker 8: and now you're like a bear or whatever, like it
- 45:29Speaker 8: doesn't matter. Now you're just a quarterback and expected to
- 45:31Speaker 8: play at a high level.
- 45:32Speaker 1: Final three questions. And I do want to talk about
- 45:35Speaker 1: Patrick Mahomes for a second. Not sure when you started
- 45:37Speaker 1: working with or tutoring Patrick Mahomes. And maybe it was
- 45:41Speaker 1: a Texas Tech maybe once again in the NFL. But
- 45:44Speaker 1: when he was at Tech, Tech was fine, five hundred team,
- 45:48Speaker 1: you know, a little blow sometimes game over, Like what's
- 45:52Speaker 1: the difference in Mahomes at Tech and Mahomes with Kansas City?
- 45:58Speaker 1: Is it Andy Reid? Is it? Like where did he
- 46:01Speaker 1: hit his maturation what's the difference now, Bobby.
- 46:04Speaker 8: That is such a good question. Nobody has ever asked
- 46:06Speaker 8: me that question. Here's my answer. I don't think a
- 46:08Speaker 8: whole lot. And I'm one of the few guys at
- 46:12Speaker 8: w Washington playing in college. Their defense they couldn't stop anyway.
- 46:15Speaker 8: He had to score fifty five.
- 46:16Speaker 6: Points a game. I went to one of his games.
- 46:19Speaker 6: My brother was a season opener.
- 46:20Speaker 8: He was playing for the Cardinals and they were hosting
- 46:22Speaker 8: the Patriots on Sunday night football Week one, and it
- 46:26Speaker 8: was one of the games when Brady was suspended the
- 46:29Speaker 8: first four games this season and Pat was playing at
- 46:32Speaker 8: ASU on Saturday. I was like, Oh, perfect, I'll come
- 46:34Speaker 8: in early. I'll go watch Pat. I've been friends with Kingsbury,
- 46:37Speaker 8: his coach at the time, who's oc in Washington now,
- 46:39Speaker 8: with friends of him forever. I'm like, oh, dude, be great.
- 46:41Speaker 6: So I go there. I bring my son him on
- 46:42Speaker 6: the sidelines.
- 46:43Speaker 8: I'm watching warm ups, watch the game, and the running
- 46:45Speaker 8: back for Arizona State, Keeland Bilage, had seven touchdowns.
- 46:48Speaker 6: In that game.
- 46:48Speaker 8: The only reason, the only thing I remember about it,
- 46:51Speaker 8: and I think Pat scored like forty nine points and lost.
- 46:55Speaker 8: That was his whole career when you know that your
- 46:57Speaker 8: defense is and I played this way in college too,
- 46:59Speaker 8: we have to score a lot of points to win.
- 47:02Speaker 8: And what happens is a couple of things when you
- 47:04Speaker 8: are in a situation and I'll say in high school
- 47:06Speaker 8: that's fine too, where you know you got to score
- 47:10Speaker 8: a'll make up a number forty five points to win today, Okay,
- 47:12Speaker 8: Like we're not going to win seventeen to ten, okay,
- 47:14Speaker 8: because they're going to score thirty five. What happens is
- 47:18Speaker 8: you have to be uber aggressive. You also can't turn
- 47:21Speaker 8: it over. If you turn it over, you have to
- 47:23Speaker 8: assume they're going to score. So a pick is like
- 47:26Speaker 8: minus seven, right if you're playing math in your head,
- 47:29Speaker 8: and so you have to be concerned. You have to
- 47:30Speaker 8: be aggressive, but you have to be somewhat conservative on
- 47:34Speaker 8: taking chances. So you got to go after it. But
- 47:37Speaker 8: you can't just throw it up, right. You can't take sacks,
- 47:40Speaker 8: you can't take get holding penalties. So how you scramble?
- 47:43Speaker 8: So what happens is is pat played in like thirty
- 47:45Speaker 8: forty games like that, and so this run and shoot,
- 47:48Speaker 8: go go, go, score, score score. And I would say
- 47:52Speaker 8: at the time, Texas Tech was as innovative on offense
- 47:55Speaker 8: as anybody in college in the passing game. And I
- 47:57Speaker 8: would say now Andy Reid is as innovative as anybody
- 47:59Speaker 8: in the passing.
- 48:00Speaker 6: In the NFL.
- 48:00Speaker 8: So that part didn't change, not comparing those two coaches,
- 48:03Speaker 8: but like that part didn't change.
- 48:05Speaker 6: I don't think his work ethic changed. And he's always
- 48:07Speaker 6: been a hard worker.
- 48:09Speaker 8: And confidence wise for him to sit that first year
- 48:12Speaker 8: and then his first year playing and throws like fifty touchdowns,
- 48:15Speaker 8: Like we're celebrating guys throwing thirty five right now, You're
- 48:18Speaker 8: like fifty for his year.
- 48:20Speaker 6: So all that needed to.
- 48:21Speaker 8: Happen was the confidence to translate it from the Big twelve,
- 48:24Speaker 8: which is irrelevant football at the time, to the AFC West,
- 48:28Speaker 8: which is relevant football at the time. That was the
- 48:31Speaker 8: thing that needed to happen. And I think there's a
- 48:33Speaker 8: lot of pieces. I think the normalcy of his life
- 48:35Speaker 8: of same. You know, he's married, his wife has been
- 48:38Speaker 8: the same girlfriend, He's got the same circle of people.
- 48:40Speaker 8: He's got a same trainer, Bobby Stroupe, who does does
- 48:42Speaker 8: good a job of anybody getting their athlete. I'm sure he's
- 48:44Speaker 8: with Bobby right now working on this ankle as we
- 48:47Speaker 8: record this, So I think he's kept his his nucleus,
- 48:51Speaker 8: his core the same. His confidence is obviously he think
- 48:56Speaker 8: he's one of the best athletes on the planet. But
- 48:58Speaker 8: I think that's the part that have I don't think
- 49:00Speaker 8: anything changed. I don't think he got way better. And
- 49:04Speaker 8: again we're talking about a guy who went tenth overall
- 49:07Speaker 8: that if we redrafted one thousand percent of people would
- 49:10Speaker 8: say he was the number one pick.
- 49:11Speaker 6: So like, it's not he This is not a sixth
- 49:13Speaker 6: rounder that somebody found.
- 49:15Speaker 1: It feels a bit parallel to what Burrow's going through.
- 49:18Speaker 1: Now what you're talking about Mahomes and College, where minus
- 49:20Speaker 1: seven is an interception where Burrow's got to score every
- 49:23Speaker 1: every freaking driver, They're going to lose the game.
- 49:25Speaker 6: Yeah, well he's scoring every single drive and they are
- 49:28Speaker 6: losing the game.
- 49:28Speaker 1: Yeah even then, I know, I know, crazy, crazy.
- 49:32Speaker 4: Yeah, job. I was gonna ask you, Jordan real quick
- 49:35Speaker 4: about backups and what's the mindset when a backup is
- 49:39Speaker 4: called in to take over. And they always say, oh,
- 49:44Speaker 4: they're always ready, like you got to stay ready, But realistically,
- 49:47Speaker 4: is it like I'm just gonna hand off the ball
- 49:48Speaker 4: four times and just see what happens, or let's I'm
- 49:51Speaker 4: going to be a hero here.
- 49:53Speaker 8: Yeah, that's a great question. So I think there's a
- 49:56Speaker 8: couple of ways that a backup enters the game. Okay,
- 49:58Speaker 8: let's say let's say like like in.
- 50:00Speaker 6: The middle of the game, you go in.
- 50:02Speaker 8: Okay, So one is you're up big, so you are
- 50:07Speaker 8: going to do what you said, You're gonna go in.
- 50:08Speaker 8: You're gonna had the ball off and take some knees.
- 50:10Speaker 8: In fact, it's funny. Last year, Sam Donald was the
- 50:13Speaker 8: backup in the Niners, and Kyle Allen, who's with the
- 50:16Speaker 8: Steelers now, was the backup to Josh Allen in Buffalo.
- 50:18Speaker 8: And Sam Donald, Josh Allen, and Kyle Allen all did
- 50:22Speaker 8: draft prep together and they all live down the street
- 50:25Speaker 8: down here, really close to me, and.
- 50:27Speaker 6: They're best friends.
- 50:28Speaker 8: And there was this we had a whiteboard in our
- 50:30Speaker 8: office and we were because Kyle Allen kept going in
- 50:32Speaker 8: at the end of Bills games when they're up, and
- 50:34Speaker 8: Sam Donald kept going in at the Niner games, and
- 50:36Speaker 8: they kept taking knees. We had this like toggle over
- 50:38Speaker 8: who is going to have more negative rushing yards of
- 50:41Speaker 8: the year.
- 50:42Speaker 6: It was hilarious.
- 50:43Speaker 8: I think it was like ended up like fourteen to twelve.
- 50:47Speaker 8: But it was like the text game is pretty funny.
- 50:49Speaker 8: But so you enter into a game because you're down
- 50:52Speaker 8: big or you're up big, right, those are natural, but
- 50:56Speaker 8: you also enter in because the starter got hurt. Now,
- 50:58Speaker 8: there's two ways of getting hurt. There's temporarily hurt, okay,
- 51:01Speaker 8: like he's going to go to the blue tents, or
- 51:04Speaker 8: they're gonna change, they're gonna tape it up, right, But
- 51:08Speaker 8: you're only in for like a series or a play, right,
- 51:10Speaker 8: Like Sam Donald got.
- 51:11Speaker 6: Hurt this year, Nick Mullins went in, threw a scene
- 51:14Speaker 6: down the faide, down the sideline, and then Sam Donald
- 51:16Speaker 6: jogged back in.
- 51:17Speaker 8: Right, So you temporarily go in the hardest way for
- 51:19Speaker 8: a backup to go in is when the starting quarterback.
- 51:23Speaker 8: You know right now that is a season ending injury.
- 51:25Speaker 8: And I am now the starting quarterback of this team.
- 51:27Speaker 8: There's nobody behind me, there's nowhere to turn to, and
- 51:29Speaker 8: it's my turnout. And Jake Browning is a client of mine,
- 51:32Speaker 8: and Jake Browning is the backup to Joe Burrow. And
- 51:34Speaker 8: last year he competed with Trevor Simeon for the backup
- 51:38Speaker 8: job he had been on practical for three years and
- 51:40Speaker 8: played a snap in the in the game and Joe
- 51:43Speaker 8: Burrow hurt his wrists Baltimore and the first play they
- 51:46Speaker 8: ran with Jake Browning was a fake toss to the
- 51:48Speaker 8: right role left a rolls left backward basically backside flips
- 51:53Speaker 8: his hips and whips an over out to trender when
- 51:55Speaker 8: coming across the field and freaking dying.
- 51:57Speaker 6: And I was like, he's gonna be just fine. And
- 52:00Speaker 6: for the next five games.
- 52:01Speaker 8: I think, statistically speaking, Jake Browning's first five starts are
- 52:04Speaker 8: the best in NFL history. And so what's really impressive
- 52:08Speaker 8: to me is when a backup comes in because it's
- 52:10Speaker 8: not just Joke's hurt. One, Oh my gosh, that's one
- 52:14Speaker 8: of my best buddies. Sure he's hurt. The other thing
- 52:16Speaker 8: is like, okay, the what's the series?
- 52:18Speaker 6: You know? Okay, what do you call a next play?
- 52:20Speaker 6: You know what I mean?
- 52:20Speaker 8: Like, there's the right now, and then there's this emotional
- 52:23Speaker 8: state that you're stepping into, going like, oh, I'm the
- 52:25Speaker 8: quarterback moving forward and there's some practice.
- 52:28Speaker 6: Quadgram behind me, but like I'm the quarterback.
- 52:31Speaker 8: And that's I think when a guy does that and
- 52:35Speaker 8: does it well, like Jake Browning. I immediately go, I
- 52:38Speaker 8: don't care how big you are, I don't care how
- 52:39Speaker 8: fast you are, I.
- 52:40Speaker 6: Don't care how strong you are.
- 52:41Speaker 8: You can start in this league because that's harder than
- 52:43Speaker 8: having an entire offseason of preparation with those guys then going.
- 52:47Speaker 1: In and playing before you came home. We were talking
- 52:49Speaker 1: about thread Performance where we were just talking about some
- 52:51Speaker 1: of the stuff, some of the products there. But I
- 52:53Speaker 1: was debating if I'm playing flag football in like erect league,
- 52:55Speaker 1: if it would help me.
- 52:56Speaker 6: Yeah. Do you have any kids, buddy.
- 52:58Speaker 1: No, not yet.
- 53:00Speaker 5: Okay, so they all do.
- 53:02Speaker 1: They all have boys to play, so you can talk
- 53:03Speaker 1: to them about that. But I'll fig out myself. I
- 53:05Speaker 1: mean selfish, like you know you can work for me.
- 53:08Speaker 8: Yeah. Absolutely. So everything that's in there is great for us.
- 53:13Speaker 8: But it's pretty crazy. I'm a bit of an entrepreneur.
- 53:17Speaker 8: I can see, Bobby, is your ring? Is it metal
- 53:19Speaker 8: or is it rubber?
- 53:20Speaker 1: Well, this one's rubbert because I do play a lot
- 53:22Speaker 1: of ball. I know ball and a play ball, so
- 53:24Speaker 1: I got to keep it rubber.
- 53:25Speaker 8: So my buddies and I created the silicon' wedding ring category.
- 53:29Speaker 8: We launched a company called kalo q a l O.
- 53:32Speaker 8: I was playing still at the time. Me and my
- 53:35Speaker 8: high school wide receiver, Taylor Holiday, and our two partners
- 53:38Speaker 8: started it and it ended up going nuts.
- 53:41Speaker 6: It's kind of why I retired.
- 53:43Speaker 8: I retired because nobody wanted me, but I had a
- 53:45Speaker 8: chance to go play somewhere. But I had to like
- 53:47Speaker 8: decide between best and my equity or not, and we
- 53:50Speaker 8: ended up. By the time we sold that company, we
- 53:52Speaker 8: sold just under two hundred million dollars worth of rings,
- 53:55Speaker 8: and so I started that and then we spun that
- 53:58Speaker 8: into a digital marketing agency. And this is like two
- 54:00Speaker 8: nine twenty ten, right at the beginning of e commerce,
- 54:02Speaker 8: when people started advertising on Facebook.
- 54:04Speaker 6: So there was a.
- 54:05Speaker 8: Point when I thought that we had actually spent more
- 54:07Speaker 8: money than anybody on Facebook. And so we launched an
- 54:09Speaker 8: agency and grew to one hundred and thirty employees.
- 54:12Speaker 6: And that's what I did every day. I'd coach quarterbacks
- 54:15Speaker 6: on the side.
- 54:16Speaker 8: In fact, when I did Josh Allen, Sam Donald Collin
- 54:19Speaker 8: on strap prep, like, I would leave the field at
- 54:20Speaker 8: ten thirty and go to work. And in that process
- 54:25Speaker 8: I had a lot of nutrition companies as clients. I
- 54:27Speaker 8: ran business development, so I'd always deal with the founder.
- 54:29Speaker 8: But I wasn't like in the ad account and so
- 54:32Speaker 8: I saw some clowns build some big companies, and I
- 54:35Speaker 8: saw some great products just not being marketed the right way.
- 54:37Speaker 8: And I just I had a lot of experience from
- 54:40Speaker 8: a from a marketing perspective and from an entrepreneur's eyes
- 54:44Speaker 8: to the founder's eyes of nutrition companies.
- 54:47Speaker 6: But it was interesting. That was it for me. I
- 54:49Speaker 6: was a pro athlete, so I know what my body
- 54:50Speaker 6: needs and doesn't need.
- 54:52Speaker 8: But now working with so many quarterbacks and for the
- 54:55Speaker 8: last five years, I sold that back to the agency,
- 54:57Speaker 8: back to my partners five years ago and I've been
- 54:59Speaker 8: doing this full time. I get a lot of the
- 55:01Speaker 8: same questions. I'm a consultant, so consultants get a lot
- 55:04Speaker 8: of the same questions. You know, my elbow hurts, the
- 55:07Speaker 8: coaches a jerk, you know, the same kind of the way.
- 55:10Speaker 8: How does she go about recruiting? Should we transfer not?
- 55:12Speaker 8: How do I pick an agent? But one of the
- 55:14Speaker 8: questions I got is what should I feed my kid?
- 55:16Speaker 8: And I just didn't like my answers. I didn't feel
- 55:18Speaker 8: like I knew what to tell them. I've got two
- 55:21Speaker 8: close friends. You may know him Bobby. They live in Nashville.
- 55:23Speaker 8: Do you know doctor Josh Actxe who owns Ancient Nutrition.
- 55:27Speaker 1: I think I may have done some work with doctor
- 55:29Speaker 1: with the doc when I injured myself at one point
- 55:31Speaker 1: had to ask him for a little consultation.
- 55:33Speaker 8: So he's I would say that him and Jordan Ruben
- 55:35Speaker 8: are they own Ancient Nutrition and before that, Jordan Ruben
- 55:38Speaker 8: sold Garden of Life for like one point two billion.
- 55:41Speaker 8: I would say that they're like the thought leaders in
- 55:42Speaker 8: space when it comes to holistic eating.
- 55:45Speaker 1: I don't know the billion guy. I don't know any billionaire,
- 55:47Speaker 1: so I don't buy that one.
- 55:47Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 55:48Speaker 8: Yeah, I know, yeah, and ancient nutrition is that big
- 55:52Speaker 8: too now? But I just went to them as friends,
- 55:55Speaker 8: but like, hey, what shoud I tell people? And I
- 55:56Speaker 8: was blown away with how little I knew about puberty
- 55:58Speaker 8: and specific I go, these are young kids, so what
- 56:00Speaker 8: should kids go intrough puberty take? And I like, if
- 56:03Speaker 8: they would have quizzed me in that first conversation, I
- 56:05Speaker 8: would have got a net And I'm like, well that
- 56:07Speaker 8: doesn't make sense. People pay me a lot of money
- 56:09Speaker 8: to help advise them, and I don't. I'm not even
- 56:11Speaker 8: I can't even advise them on something that you could
- 56:13Speaker 8: argue is more relevant than anything.
- 56:14Speaker 6: I'm gonna tell them.
- 56:15Speaker 8: And I told my now partner Clark, who lives out
- 56:18Speaker 8: in the grove by you, and I said, hey, it's
- 56:22Speaker 8: super interesting. I've been learning a lot about this. And
- 56:25Speaker 8: he called me the next day he goes, I didn't
- 56:26Speaker 8: sleep last night. I stayed up all night. There's not
- 56:28Speaker 8: a single company making products for those for that kid,
- 56:30Speaker 8: for that demographic, and so we spent a lot of
- 56:35Speaker 8: time researching. We hired a great formulators to come in
- 56:38Speaker 8: and build products very specifically designed for athletes with developing bodies.
- 56:42Speaker 8: And we are off to a very hot start. We
- 56:44Speaker 8: launched three months ago. I've been very well received and
- 56:48Speaker 8: so we got three products. One of them is a powder.
- 56:49Speaker 8: It's a daily pack see in my video right here,
- 56:54Speaker 8: and so like this is daily fuel. Mix it with water,
- 56:57Speaker 8: it's even better with almond milk, throwing a smoothie. You
- 57:00Speaker 8: have collagen, very specific types of collagen one, five and
- 57:03Speaker 8: ten from for men to Digshoman brain, but for kids
- 57:06Speaker 8: ligament and tended strength and fashion repair is huge when
- 57:09Speaker 8: you're going to puberty. Bobby, for you and I, same
- 57:12Speaker 8: thing got stork, same thing. Not all collagens the same.
- 57:17Speaker 8: But then there's also grass fed wave protein. We have
- 57:19Speaker 8: probiotics in here. We have a mushroom blend about Shrogonda
- 57:22Speaker 8: and Lion's made and a few others. All your daily
- 57:25Speaker 8: greens and all your daily vitamins. So if as a
- 57:27Speaker 8: mom and you put this in your kids backpack and
- 57:28Speaker 8: they mix it with water and they drink it like
- 57:30Speaker 8: you just checked every box for the day, like you
- 57:33Speaker 8: can feel better. And then the other two products we
- 57:35Speaker 8: have are capsules. One is for energy, but it's not
- 57:39Speaker 8: B twelve over you know, caffeine. It's really about muscle oxygenation.
- 57:44Speaker 8: And a mushroom blend that helps with focus because kids
- 57:47Speaker 8: don't need a spike and energy at two o'clock in
- 57:50Speaker 8: the afternoon like you and I do. What they need
- 57:53Speaker 8: is sustained focus and energy and blood oxygenation so that
- 57:56Speaker 8: they recover quicker because they got to sit in class,
- 57:58Speaker 8: go to recess, sit in class, get out, go to practice,
- 58:00Speaker 8: come home to eat homer or eat dinner, do their homework,
- 58:04Speaker 8: finish their project, and go to bed. And then they
- 58:06Speaker 8: got to repeat it and uh, and so we have
- 58:09Speaker 8: a product for that. And then The last one is
- 58:10Speaker 8: for strength gains, not even just wait gain, but strength
- 58:14Speaker 8: gain and it's actually completely botanical.
- 58:17Speaker 6: And uh, and we have these crazy results.
- 58:19Speaker 8: We partner with this company, rip Factor, and we see
- 58:21Speaker 8: crazy results that their studies are like, I think it's
- 58:23Speaker 8: like two point four x like strength gains with your
- 58:26Speaker 8: lower body and like two point six with your upper body.
- 58:28Speaker 8: It's like crazy results. And we are getting those emails
- 58:31Speaker 8: back now. We are hearing moms say, oh my goodness.
- 58:33Speaker 8: So we came out with three products. We've got more
- 58:35Speaker 8: for boys and girls. Bobby, you and I take I
- 58:38Speaker 8: take it every day. It's it's great. It's great stuff.
- 58:41Speaker 8: It's not you know, it's not kids gummies. But I
- 58:46Speaker 8: think you know our sale it's been an incredible start
- 58:48Speaker 8: for our launch. But some of these emails are getting
- 58:50Speaker 8: from parents of like, I can notice the difference of
- 58:52Speaker 8: my kid and their focus is different and all that.
- 58:54Speaker 8: And we've got a lot more products coming out in
- 58:56Speaker 8: the hopper, very specifically when we get into girls.
- 58:59Speaker 6: Girls are a lot more likely to tarry.
- 59:01Speaker 8: A ligament when they're on their cycle, and so we've
- 59:04Speaker 8: got some products coming out and hydration and so we
- 59:09Speaker 8: think this is a worthy market. We raise money very
- 59:12Speaker 8: quickly from some awesome people who are very strategic, and
- 59:16Speaker 8: it's been a great start for Thread Performance.
- 59:18Speaker 6: And I think.
- 59:19Speaker 8: It's a good time in our country to be to
- 59:21Speaker 8: have a company that makes healthy things for kids too,
- 59:24Speaker 8: because I think we're going to see a lot more
- 59:26Speaker 8: people waking up to what they have been giving their
- 59:28Speaker 8: kids or what their parents gave them when they were little.
- 59:30Speaker 1: And we'll put all the information in the notes, but
- 59:32Speaker 1: threadperformance dot com to find all the products. We're talking
- 59:35Speaker 1: about it earlier as well. And then also the quarterback
- 59:37Speaker 1: Room podcast and I encourage people to check that out.
- 59:40Speaker 1: It's quarterbacks talking talking quarterback. It's an awesome show. Love
- 59:45Speaker 1: you know, taking in your content just in general. Jordan,
- 59:46Speaker 1: I really appreciate the time today, may so thank you
- 59:48Speaker 1: for spending a few minutes with us.
- 59:50Speaker 6: Yeah, thanks for having me. This was great.
- 59:52Speaker 1: H Right, Jordan, thanks man?
- 59:54Speaker 6: Are we off?
- 59:55Speaker 1: We're off? Bobby, Yes, sir.
- 59:57Speaker 6: It didn't hit me.
- 59:58Speaker 8: Didn't hit me until so I apologize this was set
- 1:00:02Speaker 8: up and I, like I said, I just got back
- 1:00:04Speaker 8: last night, and then I've been off work for a week,
- 1:00:07Speaker 8: so looking at a pile of stuff over there, and
- 1:00:09Speaker 8: then I saw your book Bare Bones, and I go, oh,
- 1:00:12Speaker 8: my gosh, Bobby Bones. I very rarely did I ever
- 1:00:15Speaker 8: miss an American Idol season from the.
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: Start, from the start, that's fun.
- 1:00:20Speaker 8: I was in college in my roommate, I would watch it.
- 1:00:22Speaker 8: It was when direct TV first came out and we
- 1:00:24Speaker 8: could TiVo it.
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: That's fun.
- 1:00:26Speaker 8: And I've always loved it and I've known Luke and
- 1:00:29Speaker 8: you know what I mean, Like, Bryan, you.
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: Know that's that's really funny.
- 1:00:34Speaker 8: Hit me for a second because because I just didn't
- 1:00:36Speaker 8: think I didn't I didn't put you in the sports bucket,
- 1:00:38Speaker 8: I know, but I know I know exactly who you are.
- 1:00:41Speaker 8: Incredible time, got some amazing career.
- 1:00:43Speaker 6: Man.
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: Oh thanks man, it's funny.
- 1:00:45Speaker 6: Hit me like halfway through.
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: I do I do a show with Castle as well?
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: In that Castle and so and the Castle the same way.
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: We're talking about stuff and he's like, wait, and he
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: was over at the house and he was like, you
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: won Dancing with the Stars. He goes, I watched that
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: show all the time, and I had the trophy there
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: and I was like, I would not expect you to
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: watch Idol or him to watch Dancing with the Stars.
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: But it's like here, I am baby, I do all
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: the things that uh well didn't get me. Girls then
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: either sons man.
- 1:01:11Speaker 8: You know who watches Dancing with the Stars of the
- 1:01:13Speaker 8: missed one is uh is Josh Allen and Hailey Steinfield.
- 1:01:17Speaker 6: Yeah, I love it.
- 1:01:17Speaker 8: My wife and I've been We've my wife and I
- 1:01:20Speaker 8: love those. Those are the only shows we really watch.
- 1:01:23Speaker 8: So I haven't watched DWTS like the last couple of years,
- 1:01:25Speaker 8: but but we went. I saw Adele perform at Dancing
- 1:01:30Speaker 8: with the Stars, and that was like my date night.
- 1:01:32Speaker 6: I live in Orange County, so my wife and I
- 1:01:33Speaker 6: would go up and be like, hey, let's go.
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: And go to the ballroom.
- 1:01:37Speaker 6: We go to the ballroom and super fun.
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: Yeah, it's intense.
- 1:01:40Speaker 6: I'm not I'm not there to like meet famous people
- 1:01:42Speaker 6: and take pressure.
- 1:01:42Speaker 8: It's like, No, we watched the show and we'd let
- 1:01:44Speaker 8: it like let it get down to like five or six,
- 1:01:46Speaker 8: and then we'd like go to a show and we'd
- 1:01:48Speaker 8: go to dinner in l A and we'd stay in
- 1:01:49Speaker 8: the hotel. That was like our fun date night. And
- 1:01:52Speaker 8: then The Bachelor and Basseret's the other one. I've been
- 1:01:54Speaker 8: to multiple final rows. Kyle Allen, this is a great one.
- 1:01:59Speaker 8: It was all for the internet, So for two guys
- 1:02:01Speaker 8: that are not famous, it was all over the internet.
- 1:02:03Speaker 8: So Kyle and I went and and oh why am
- 1:02:08Speaker 8: I drawn a blank on his name? Chris Chris is
- 1:02:11Speaker 8: like Chris Chris Harrison is like a big football fan. Yeah,
- 1:02:13Speaker 8: he's a big football fan. And so he'd come down
- 1:02:16Speaker 8: and getten down and watch my guys work out and
- 1:02:18Speaker 8: stuff like that, just nerd out on football. And so
- 1:02:21Speaker 8: I go a, hey, I want to come up to
- 1:02:22Speaker 8: the Thunna rows. So he sets us up and he's like, hey,
- 1:02:25Speaker 8: do you guys got good seats? You guys want to
- 1:02:27Speaker 8: sit there? Or do you want to sit here? But
- 1:02:28Speaker 8: if you sit here, you're gonna be like right behind
- 1:02:30Speaker 8: the two chairs the whole show. I was like, yeah,
- 1:02:33Speaker 8: right there, and Kyle Allen had vizine and so Kyle
- 1:02:37Speaker 8: and I in between we're scorting by Zene in our
- 1:02:39Speaker 8: eyes and we were just trying to get on camera
- 1:02:41Speaker 8: making it look like we were crying reacting to what
- 1:02:43Speaker 8: was happening.
- 1:02:44Speaker 6: There's a great clip of the two of us but
- 1:02:47Speaker 6: like behind right behind the chairs. So that's a super
- 1:02:51Speaker 6: bad big fan of what you do. Man.
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: Thanks man, Thank you again, Thank you for the time,
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: and hopefully i'll see in real live sometime.
- 1:02:56Speaker 6: Yeah. Thanks.
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: Christmas is coming up, So Eddie, here's what I have.
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: And I don't care if it's for you to say
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: it's from you to your boys or if you say
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: it's from media boys, I don't care. Okay, but I've
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: been saving these, so I have a Jason went and
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: signed Jersey. WHOA, Well, they're all cowboys because I know
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: some of your your boys don't want to be cowboys
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: fans as much as others.
- 1:03:19Speaker 4: Yeah no, but this will help. Okay, I think eventually
- 1:03:21Speaker 4: they will. But right, Oh my goodness its Jersey Jersey.
- 1:03:25Speaker 4: Uh check it out phones. That is awesome. Oh my goodness.
- 1:03:29Speaker 4: Do I have to give them to my kids.
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: And so you can say wow that they're from me,
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: or you just say they're from you.
- 1:03:38Speaker 4: Get you.
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: I don't. I'm not asking for credit.
- 1:03:40Speaker 4: What I love about this this is amazing. But what
- 1:03:43Speaker 4: I love about is you've understood now that when you
- 1:03:46Speaker 4: gift one of my kids get you got to get
- 1:03:48Speaker 4: them all. You got three jealous ones are like, where's
- 1:03:52Speaker 4: so dude? Thank you for that? That's amazing. Yeah, I'm
- 1:03:55Speaker 4: gonna have to tell him uncle Bobby got that bet.
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: You literally don't have to they love do they love you?
- 1:04:00Speaker 4: And I think it would be so cool coming from you. Okay, well,
- 1:04:03Speaker 4: especially the little one.
- 1:04:04Speaker 6: Every day.
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: Then you have to wrap them though and say I
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: wrapped them to this saved them. You don't have to
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: wrap them.
- 1:04:10Speaker 4: That's great. I wrapped them put under the tree from Bobby,
- 1:04:13Speaker 4: and from Bobby and Kaitlyn or just Bobby.
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: No, not from Kaitlyn.
- 1:04:18Speaker 4: Why not doing that? That's awesome.
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: I saved those four. It's only I mean, that saved
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: all the four the cowboys that have so they can
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: have them. I don't know you're gonna give the youngest
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: one that Zach Martin because he won't know the difference. Okay,
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: but in any you do not have to say they're
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: from me. If you change your mind, they can be
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: from you, you and your wife, and I have to
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: give them to my kids.
- 1:04:43Speaker 4: I would like like like like for you brought the
- 1:04:45Speaker 4: younger one he he made.
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: What would you do with? What are you gonna wear one?
- 1:04:50Speaker 4: Yeah? The down Sanders one?
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't you know what.
- 1:04:52Speaker 4: I'm the sports park.
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: I don't care what you do with them, but I
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: saved them because you have four boys take them.
- 1:04:58Speaker 4: Thank you dude, well, thank you. Wow, Merry Christmas.
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: Merry Christmas. This story is not funny. It's not funny.
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: It's actually terrible. Oh great, it's not funny because so
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: it's not funny. It's like, oh my god, why would you.
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: Eric Molds sued for allegedly intentionally which, by the way,
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: Eric Molds played for the Bills and the Texans and
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: the Titans. He intentionally gave Bills fans STDs. What a
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: new dude, I'm telling you, it's not funny. What it's
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: like a fictional story of Like that's what.
- 1:05:38Speaker 4: This has got to be a movie, That's what I'm saying.
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: It's freaking wild. A new lawsuit alleged that he intentionally
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: passed incurable s CD female fans. The lawsuit was filed
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: by an identified woman who claims that Molds did this
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: to several other women, that he specifically targeted single mothers
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: who are Buffalo Bills fans.
- 1:05:54Speaker 4: This is psychotic, that's like, this is I've never heard
- 1:05:59Speaker 4: of this, dude me.
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: Either feels fake. That's why I'm like, it's funny. It
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: feels fake.
- 1:06:03Speaker 4: What position do you play.
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: He's a wide receiver, right, Yeah, he's being sued for
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: negligence and intentional causes of action fire disclosed. But the
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: fact that's like intentionally giving another fan like looking for
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: fans of the team.
- 1:06:17Speaker 4: It's like when people, you know, punch a fan like
- 1:06:21Speaker 4: with another team, like on the street and like knocking.
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: For no reason, for no reason. It's like, what like
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: this is next level? Isret Well that fifth to the
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: face you can it won't stay forever.
- 1:06:31Speaker 4: It's said uncurable.
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: Well, it's a virus. It's herpes.
- 1:06:35Speaker 4: Oh it was that one.
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: You may go into regression or into yeah or not
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: maybe not.
- 1:06:46Speaker 4: No idea what you're talking about.
- 1:06:47Speaker 5: We're going to get there eventually.
- 1:06:50Speaker 4: Yes, he knows too much about it.
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: Oh I thought that what a dirt bag.
- 1:06:58Speaker 5: That's weird.
- 1:06:59Speaker 9: I that's how weird dude that's dirt Yeah, yeah, has
- 1:07:04Speaker 9: a dirt bagtype stuff.
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: Dang okay, Eddie Cowboys Yeah.
- 1:07:10Speaker 4: I mean, don't disrespect the Cowboys. I guess by making
- 1:07:13Speaker 4: them an underdog like they got mad at that they
- 1:07:16Speaker 4: got I guess they got upset. I mean it doesn't
- 1:07:17Speaker 4: make a difference to.
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: They could still win nine. They can still go nine
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: and eight.
- 1:07:21Speaker 9: They went out, win out, Mike McCarthy back, and I
- 1:07:25Speaker 9: don't even know, Like watching him on the sideline is
- 1:07:29Speaker 9: funny because like he's like, I don't even think he's
- 1:07:32Speaker 9: like wanting to win, because he's like, I'm not going
- 1:07:33Speaker 9: to be here next year.
- 1:07:34Speaker 4: I don't know what.
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: I think he's here. I think he's there next year.
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: You think he's here, I think so, if you ask
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: me right now. I don't think they're firing him.
- 1:07:41Speaker 4: It's pretty crazy.
- 1:07:42Speaker 5: But his contract ends.
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: Okay, I think he gets another year. Yeah, I guess
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: they wouldn't fire him. They just wentn't renew his deal. Yeah,
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: great point, great point. But I think the Cowboys if
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: they still win every game, I'm not looking at the record.
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: I think they could still go nine and eight, and
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: I don't know if they're mathematically eliminated yet.
- 1:07:57Speaker 4: I mean, there has to be some losses, right because
- 1:07:58Speaker 4: the NFC is getting stacked.
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: Eagles clinch.
- 1:08:03Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: I wanted the Commanders to lose yesterday and they did not.
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: They almost almost almost did.
- 1:08:08Speaker 4: Yeah, two point conversions a strong lead.
- 1:08:11Speaker 5: Cowboys have three tough games.
- 1:08:12Speaker 4: Oh yeah yeah yeah, Tampa Bay who next week?
- 1:08:16Speaker 5: The Bucks? The Eagles and the Commanders.
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: They lost the Vasiles last week.
- 1:08:21Speaker 4: Yeah, we shouldn't have lost that, but we did.
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: Wait, so what's the record.
- 1:08:26Speaker 7: They are six and eight currently, so they could.
- 1:08:28Speaker 4: Be I don't know, dude.
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: Is there a percentage right now with the Cowboys to
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: get in the playoffs? Is there been a new and
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: updated today since it's not Monday Night football yet?
- 1:08:37Speaker 4: I mean the one I saw on Sunday yesterday was
- 1:08:40Speaker 4: one percent. Hey there's a chance.
- 1:08:44Speaker 3: Zero?
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: Okay, Cowboys percentage to playoffs seventeen hours ago after Week
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: fifteen versus Panthers, the Dallas Cowboys have made however, take
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: the pants it comes that Week fifteen, still alive in
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: the postseason chase, A lot of work to be done.
- 1:09:03Speaker 4: It's one way to put it.
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: The Cowboys. Here we go.
- 1:09:09Speaker 4: Come on, bones, you got a drum roll on this mic?
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: Right now? They're they're they're the twelfth team and obviously
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: they need to be one of the top seven.
- 1:09:20Speaker 4: Yeah, that's the long ways.
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: I'm at seven right now, the Commanders at nine and five,
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: so they're gonna have to at least win nine games,
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: and they're gonna need a lot of people to lose.
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: They need Niners to lose and that's fine Falcons. Really,
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: it's just the Commanders, if the Commanders or the seat.
- 1:09:35Speaker 4: If they lose out if they don't win another game.
- 1:09:38Speaker 4: But I don't even the head to win.
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: Did you guys, did you guys play the Commanders coming up?
- 1:09:42Speaker 4: Yes?
- 1:09:42Speaker 5: Yeah, so that could be what about the first game game.
- 1:09:44Speaker 7: And you guys beat them, right, because can you imaginize?
- 1:09:48Speaker 3: No?
- 1:09:48Speaker 4: No, no, I mean that'd be crazy. But dude, there's
- 1:09:50Speaker 4: no way we have to win.
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: Every they're hold on. There are three games left.
- 1:09:56Speaker 4: They have they have to lose one or no, they
- 1:09:58Speaker 4: have to win them all. They have to lose them all,
- 1:09:59Speaker 4: and we have to win them all.
- 1:10:00Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: Yes, but the Seahawks and Cardinals are still kind of
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: in the mix too.
- 1:10:04Speaker 4: They are and Seahawks, I don't know what's Gino's Cardinals
- 1:10:06Speaker 4: are done now? Yeah, Kyler was hurt yesterday and Gino
- 1:10:10Speaker 4: was hurt yesterday.
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: Who do the Cowboys play next?
- 1:10:12Speaker 4: Tampa Bay? Okay on Monday.
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: Hey man, I'm just saying they're still in it.
- 1:10:15Speaker 4: They're still in the next I don't think so. See
- 1:10:17Speaker 4: you just lost Hope too.
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: No, No, they're still in the mix as long as
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: you're in, you're in. It ain't over until it's over.
- 1:10:23Speaker 4: And then and then what we're gonna do make the
- 1:10:24Speaker 4: playoffs and then just kind of do what we always do.
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: It'd be really cool for me the playoffs, so rush,
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: it'd be amazing.
- 1:10:29Speaker 5: I think you do what ten touchdowns and three picks
- 1:10:33Speaker 5: right and many sacks? I don't know, but whatever that
- 1:10:36Speaker 5: statu is, they put it up to deck and it
- 1:10:38Speaker 5: was not good.
- 1:10:41Speaker 7: That's never good for Dack.
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: Cowboys are the most loved, I know, most valuable, oh

- 1:13:30Speaker 5: Did you see that guy dropped the pick six in
- 1:13:32Speaker 5: the end zone?
- 1:13:33Speaker 4: Yes, weren't there a couple of drops right before getting
- 1:13:36Speaker 4: the end zone that turned into touchbacks?
- 1:13:38Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: Oh yeah yeah. Oh not only the pick six but
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: the Colts that Taylor Taylor did the ball flip right
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: at the goal line on Earth. Guys, you know this,
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: that's crazy. They keep doing this. It's crazy people keep
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: doing this.
- 1:13:52Speaker 5: I don't understand.
- 1:13:53Speaker 4: Like I remember, you got one more step Man, one.
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: More step Eagles wide receiver really fast and the Smith. Yes,
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: Sean Jackson did it in like college and like the
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: and then didn't NFL as well too. But like what
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: when one person does it, you should never do it
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: again because it's the dumbest reason. And John Taylor is
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: like one this year, but he's like a veteran, super
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: smart guy knows Wow. Commanders beat the Saint Sants, went
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: for two. Did not get it and I was like,
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: go for two. Then I was like, oh, it's South Carolina.
- 1:14:29Speaker 4: He didn't even start.
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: He didn't. Hainer started. It was terrible. Jayers was terrible.
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: A lot of really bad quarterbacks, which is why we
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: don't want to be hit quarterback the first first it
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: was so bad.
- 1:14:41Speaker 7: James four picks, Will.
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: Will Levis sucks.
- 1:14:46Speaker 4: It's got to be done.
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: Ravens whipped up on the Giants. Cowboys beat the Panthers.
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: I will say there was a really bad Briance Young
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: faked a crap out of Michael Parsons and then fumbled
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: it on the same play.
- 1:15:00Speaker 7: Yeah, not a good game.
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: Not a good game. Yeah, Jets and Jaguars is a
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: good game. Graduations Yeah again, went down to it. I
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: remember they were like, the Jets need a boom touchdown
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: right at.
- 1:15:09Speaker 9: The Yeah, leave it flip for us to be officially eliminated,
- 1:15:12Speaker 9: for us to see like what this could have been,
- 1:15:14Speaker 9: you know what I mean?
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: Monte Adam was out of control. That sideline catch that
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: he made there was like bending backwards that he feels
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: like he's two hundred years old because he played with
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: Aaron Rodgers and the Packers. Guy Dan, he's awesome.
- 1:15:25Speaker 7: It's twenty fifteen all over again.
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: Love it, both of those guys. The Jets they're wide receivers.
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: Now they have to make Jena Wilson is awesome.
- 1:15:33Speaker 7: Got another touchdown.
- 1:15:34Speaker 4: Yep, yeah, we.
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: Never knew how awesome he was because nobody could get
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: on the ball. He's he's so good and you're finally
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: able to see now how good he is because Rodgers.
- 1:15:43Speaker 7: Actually looks like he can move around a little bit now.
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: So yeah, too bad?
- 1:15:47Speaker 7: Sorry, yeah, too bad that it doesn't mean anything.
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: You want Rogers right next year?
- 1:15:51Speaker 7: Not really, I want to blow the whole thing up.
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: I think.
- 1:15:53Speaker 4: Yeah, you should stir from scratch.
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: Texas beat the Dolphins to His third pick was ugly,
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: second pick was bad, His third pick was terrible. Sting
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: that he took both of them. Yeah, Bills and Lions,
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: what a freaking game. That onside kick was hilarious.
- 1:16:09Speaker 4: I don't care. Why do you take it so early?
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: Because no one was thinking he was going to take
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: it early.
- 1:16:14Speaker 7: But that's the thing.
- 1:16:14Speaker 4: You have to line up. They announce it, and they
- 1:16:16Speaker 4: line up.
- 1:16:17Speaker 7: See what like the new rules announce it?
- 1:16:19Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: No, I know, there's no like surprise to really get it.
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: I know, I know you.
- 1:16:24Speaker 4: Want to be like a crazy you don't know what
- 1:16:25Speaker 4: I'm doing, But.
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: That was like, now there's no chance because you announce it.
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: But then they're still like, really, that's what I was thinking.
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: They weren't expecting to take it early, and they're like, okay,
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: we're going an onside kick it. And the guy's like,
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: I don't know, but boy they yeah Eagle Whip, Steelers, Cardinals, Patriots.
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: I mean, really, who cares no offense?
- 1:16:51Speaker 5: I know, I was not emotionally invested really at all.
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: Baker had four freaking touchdowns and then the Chargers did
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: not score it all in the second half, and then
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: the Packers and Gino left in the third quarter.
- 1:17:05Speaker 4: Right, yes, how sweet the title. Lockett walks out with
- 1:17:08Speaker 4: him too, walks all the way down to the tunnel
- 1:17:11Speaker 4: and like give him a little hug and like I'm
- 1:17:12Speaker 4: gonna get back to the game. Good luck. Yeah, I
