- 1:04Speaker 6: us today. Fascinating fella. And I'll tell you what makes
- 1:11Speaker 6: him such an interesting conversation for today's show. Not only
- 1:16Speaker 6: is he a hip-hop star, he's producing his own music,
- 1:21Speaker 6: but you probably know him... from the captive reality TV
- 1:26Speaker 6: shows out there in the Indian scene. And Bali has
- 1:31Speaker 6: become a superstar across these spaces. And I'm very curious
- 1:36Speaker 6: to talk to him today. I want to know a
- 1:39Speaker 6: little bit more about how he balances all of this together.
- 1:44Speaker 6: But the ingredient that I really want to discuss with
- 1:48Speaker 6: him today is his humor. And how he has been
- 1:51Speaker 6: able to employ that humor across all of his work.
- 1:57Speaker 6: It's a fascinating conversation, especially from the perspective of the
- 2:02Speaker 6: artistic individual out there. And this new era that they
- 2:06Speaker 6: deal with. It's going to be a great show. Can't
- 2:10Speaker 6: wait to have him on the air. We'll have an
- 2:11Speaker 6: exclusive interview with Bali here coming up.

- 14:15Speaker 5: This week's reminder.
- 14:16Speaker 16: Is a simple one.
- 14:17Speaker 2: Be kind.
- 14:18Speaker 16: You never really know what someone else is carrying. That barista,
- 14:22Speaker 16: the person sitting next to you, a colleague, even the
- 14:25Speaker 16: stranger you pass on the street, they could be having
- 14:28Speaker 16: a day you know nothing about. So give a compliment,
- 14:32Speaker 16: check in on someone, hold the door, smile, And don't
- 14:35Speaker 16: forget to be kind to yourself too.
- 14:38Speaker 5: Kindness costs nothing.
- 14:39Speaker 16: But it completely can change someone's day. So let's sprinkle
- 14:43Speaker 16: a little more of it around this week.
- 14:46Speaker 5: The world could always use more good energy. You've got this.
- 14:49Speaker 6: Thank you so much, Meera. That's great advice. I love that.
- 14:54Speaker 6: Take the initiative this week. Be kind to whoever it
- 14:57Speaker 6: is that you see out there.
- 15:00Speaker 7: Thank you, Meera.
- 15:02Speaker 6: This is Rashmeet Kaur. Her latest single is called Ve Sajjana.
- 15:08Speaker 17: Ve Sajjana, kaatu kaise ye ratiyan. Ve Sajjana, beethe na
- 15:16Speaker 17: betaye ratiyan.
- 15:37Speaker 18: You steal my eyes, how.
- 15:45Speaker 19: Do I cut this night?
- 15:48Speaker 17: Without a lover, I can't spend my life Naina laage,
- 16:30Speaker 17: na rahi kisi.
- 16:31Speaker 18: Kaam ki Do naina thare, thahre banjaare Ik naina mere,
- 16:40Speaker 18: raade kan thare Do pal di hi, jind bachia.
- 16:57Speaker 2: Oh my love, how do I spend.
- 17:01Speaker 20: This night?
- 17:04Speaker 15: Oh my love, how do.
- 17:05Speaker 2: I spend this night? Thank you.
- 17:35Speaker 21: Thank you.
- 18:13Speaker 6: Starting to get the feeling that you're watching the rise
- 18:15Speaker 6: of a superstar here. Rashmeet Kaur is on a roll.
- 18:20Speaker 6: She's had a fabulous 2026. And you throw in a
- 18:25Speaker 6: Color Studios collaboration on top of all the great things
- 18:28Speaker 6: that she's been accomplishing.
- 18:31Speaker 7: Rashmeet Kaur, everybody.
- 18:32Speaker 6: And now, folks, as part of Ruckus Avenue Radio's partnership
- 18:37Speaker 6: with the UN News Department, let's invite into the program
- 18:41Speaker 6: Charlotte Dawson, who comes to us this morning.
- 18:45Speaker 7: How are you today, Charlotte?
- 18:47Speaker 19: This is UN News Today with me, Charlotte Dawson. The headlines.
- 18:51Speaker 22: Repeated attacks on humanitarian warehouses in Ukraine are putting medical
- 18:56Speaker 22: aid at risk, the World Health Organization warns following the
- 18:59Speaker 22: latest strike.
- 19:01Speaker 19: The UN and partners launched a.
- 19:03Speaker 22: Nearly $ 50 million appeal to support people affected by the
- 19:07Speaker 22: catastrophic floods in Nepal. And a new human rights report
- 19:11Speaker 22: documents forced displacement from three Palestinian refugee camps in the
- 19:16Speaker 22: West Bank. We begin in Ukraine, where an overnight air
- 19:22Speaker 22: attack in the Kiev region affected one of the World
- 19:25Speaker 22: Health Organization, or WHO's, main warehouses storing humanitarian medical supplies.
- 19:32Speaker 22: This marked the third attack on the WHO storage facility
- 19:36Speaker 22: in the last three months. Here's spokesman Christian Lindmayer speaking
- 19:40Speaker 22: to journalists in Geneva.
- 19:42Speaker 23: The attacks are part of a broader pattern affecting humanitarian
- 19:45Speaker 23: operations across the country. In 2026, at least 2026, 20
- 19:50Speaker 23: attacks have affected warehouses storing humanitarian supplies, including 15 attacks
- 19:56Speaker 23: on warehouses holding health-related humanitarian supplies.
- 20:00Speaker 5: Mr.
- 20:00Speaker 22: Lenmayer said humanitarian medical supplies are a lifeline for people
- 20:05Speaker 22: who need healthcare in frontline and hard-to-reach areas. and attacks
- 20:09Speaker 22: on warehouses storing them can delay or disrupt the delivery
- 20:13Speaker 22: of essential health support to those who need it most.
- 20:17Speaker 22: He stressed that the locations of United Nations and WHO
- 20:21Speaker 22: facilities and warehouses are known to all parties to the
- 20:24Speaker 22: conflict as they are communicated through established arrangements. The United
- 20:29Speaker 22: Nations and partners have launched a $ 49. 6 million project emergency
- 20:35Speaker 22: appeal to deliver support to more than 84,000 people affected
- 20:40Speaker 22: by the devastating flash floods and landslides in Nepal. The
- 20:45Speaker 22: four-month response plan, announced on Friday in Kathmandu, addresses critical
- 20:50Speaker 22: operational gaps identified by the government to prevent further hardship
- 20:54Speaker 22: and disease outbreaks as winter approaches in the mountainous Himalayas region.
- 21:00Speaker 19: Leela Peters-Yohia reports.
- 21:02Speaker 22: UN resident coordinator in Nepal, noted that families have lost everything.
- 21:07Speaker 22: Their loved ones, their homes, their livelihoods, which she said
- 21:11Speaker 22: were swept away in minutes. The response focuses on essential
- 21:15Speaker 22: humanitarian needs across multiple sectors. For example, families will receive
- 21:21Speaker 22: direct cash transfers to buy essential goods, a move that
- 21:24Speaker 22: will also help boost local economies. Humanitarians will also distribute
- 21:29Speaker 22: cold-weather shelter materials before winter sets in, as well as
- 21:33Speaker 22: portable solar units, so households that are off the electricity
- 21:37Speaker 22: grid can have power and light. Other operations include restoring
- 21:42Speaker 22: damaged water networks, deploying purification systems and delivering hygiene supplies
- 21:47Speaker 22: to prevent the spread of waterborne illnesses. The catastrophic flooding
- 21:52Speaker 22: was triggered by a glacier collapse on 26 August.
- 21:55Speaker 19: More than 1,250.
- 21:57Speaker 22: People have been killed, according to latest figures, and thousands
- 22:01Speaker 22: more remain missing. Israeli security forces forcibly displaced the entire
- 22:07Speaker 22: Palestinian populations of three refugee camps in the occupied West
- 22:12Speaker 22: Bank in January and February 2025. They continue to prevent
- 22:17Speaker 22: their return, which violated international law, according to a new
- 22:21Speaker 22: report by the UN Human Rights Office, OHCHR. It said
- 22:25Speaker 22: Israeli security forces deployed during the Operation Iron Rule offensive
- 22:30Speaker 22: killed civilians, destroyed hundreds of homes, damaged roads and other infrastructure,
- 22:35Speaker 22: cut off water and electricity, and blocked humanitarian access to
- 22:40Speaker 22: the Jenin, Nur Shams and Tolkerim refugee camps. Israeli forces
- 22:46Speaker 22: went door to door ordering residents to leave. Some displaced
- 22:50Speaker 22: Palestinians told OHCHR that Israeli officers said there would be
- 22:55Speaker 22: no more refugee camps and that they should all go
- 22:58Speaker 22: to Jordan. By October 2025, 52% of structures in Jenin
- 23:03Speaker 22: refugee camp, 48% in Nershams and 36% in Tarkarim refugee
- 23:10Speaker 22: camp have been destroyed or damaged. The report underscored that large-scale,
- 23:17Speaker 22: long-term and systematic displacement of over 33,000 Palestinians from refugee
- 23:24Speaker 22: camps during the Iron War military operation, raises serious concerns
- 23:29Speaker 22: of the crime against humanity, a forcible transfer.
- 23:33Speaker 19: Charlotte Dawson, UN News.
- 23:35Speaker 6: Thank you so much for that, Charlotte. This is the
- 23:39Speaker 6: latest from Simran Chaudhry. Just came out on Sadegama Music.

- 27:43Speaker 6: his past songs.
- 27:44Speaker 7: It's called Baihe. Stand by for Bali.
- 27:47Speaker 20: Bali!
- 27:51Speaker 25: Enzo beat to the beat Put it in my mouth,
- 27:54Speaker 25: the whole day the atmosphere is lost He asks me
- 27:58Speaker 25: to go with him, every day I make him go
- 27:59Speaker 25: crazy Because I know he will say as soon as
- 28:01Speaker 25: he meets me Brother, make me fall in love like
- 28:04Speaker 25: I'm crazy How many times have I told you not
- 28:05Speaker 25: to call me at night Don't call me at 3
- 28:07Speaker 25: o'clock at night One day my brother will get me
- 28:09Speaker 25: murdered Whenever you get a call from home, please don't
- 28:11Speaker 25: moan Huh?
- 28:12Speaker 5: Huh?
- 28:31Speaker 25: Poor guy, his words are all air. Whatever he is,
- 28:33Speaker 25: whatever he is, he is a bastard's brother. Whenever he
- 28:34Speaker 25: opens his mouth, he has separated his mother. Whatever he is,
- 28:38Speaker 25: whatever he is, he is a bastard's brother. The more
- 28:39Speaker 25: he drinks, the more he has dropped it. Whatever he is,
- 28:42Speaker 25: whatever he is, he is a bastard's brother. I have
- 28:45Speaker 25: given up on him.
- 28:46Speaker 2: Whatever he is. How can you say that my brother
- 28:51Speaker 2: isn't there? What is it about you that you can't hide? Remember,
- 28:53Speaker 2: you went to get a massage. Your sister from the
- 28:56Speaker 2: spa was also feeling shy. You're not even getting a massage.
- 28:59Speaker 2: After a while, your father says, you've got an earring.
- 29:02Speaker 2: Bring it on, you're a bachelor. You're married too. I
- 29:05Speaker 2: got red on the joke of laughing. Remember, you fell
- 29:08Speaker 2: in love in Thailand. He'll get you killed. He wasn't
- 29:11Speaker 2: even a boy, he was a boy. I saw a
- 29:13Speaker 2: door with a lock on it. I followed him. Dekha
- 29:16Speaker 2: ladkowal stall.
- 29:17Speaker 1: Mein susu karne gaye unka nal ka tha Tere lawa
- 29:20Speaker 1: bhai sab sika hai Sab kush tere se to sika
- 29:23Speaker 1: hai Tere liye bhai main to bandi chod du Baj
- 29:26Speaker 1: tu vo nahi desakta, waise uska bhi tarika hai Bate
- 29:29Speaker 1: iski saari hawai hai Jaisa bhi hai, jaisa bhi hai,
- 29:31Speaker 1: bosadi ka bhai hai.
- 29:33Speaker 25: Jab bhi muh khola, isne mai chudai hai Jaisa bhi hai,
- 29:36Speaker 25: jaisa bhi hai, bosadi ka bhai hai Jitni pi usse
- 29:39Speaker 25: zada girai Bye.
- 29:30Speaker 5: Bye.
- 29:57Speaker 6: And ladies and gentlemen, it's my big pleasure here to
- 30:00Speaker 6: announce into the show, Bali.
- 30:02Speaker 7: What's up, brother?
- 30:03Speaker 5: How are you? I'm good. I'm good. I'm good, brother.
- 30:06Speaker 3: How are you?
- 30:06Speaker 5: Thank you for having me on the show.
- 30:07Speaker 7: Of course.
- 30:08Speaker 4: Really excited to share a bit of my journey and
- 30:11Speaker 4: what all is coming.
- 30:13Speaker 5: In the future.
- 30:14Speaker 6: This is really exciting for us. We've been watching your story,
- 30:16Speaker 6: my man, and I consider you a very interesting mix
- 30:20Speaker 6: of culture in one package.
- 30:23Speaker 7: And, you know, Bali, I.
- 30:25Speaker 6: I wanted to start by asking you a question and
- 30:27Speaker 6: in the same process, ask you a little bit about your,
- 30:30Speaker 6: your background and your story of how you got into this.
- 30:33Speaker 6: But I always find that somebody that mixes hip hop
- 30:37Speaker 6: specifically with comedy at some point, um, made the decision
- 30:42Speaker 6: that they're just going to do that. They were going
- 30:44Speaker 6: in one direction in their mind and one day they said,
- 30:47Speaker 6: you know what, I'm just going to be me. And
- 30:50Speaker 6: then they just start to be them and then they
- 30:52Speaker 6: go in that direction and it just works.
- 30:55Speaker 7: What was that like for you? And did that happen
- 30:57Speaker 7: to you?
- 30:58Speaker 4: So exactly what happened was like, I started making music
- 31:01Speaker 4: and I used to be inspired by the legends of
- 31:04Speaker 4: the game, like Bohemia or The other artists and in
- 31:07Speaker 4: India at that time, everybody was following the commercial rap structure.
- 31:11Speaker 4: Like there'll be a verse, everybody will drop and they'll
- 31:14Speaker 4: talk about booze, girls.
- 31:15Speaker 11: I get it.
- 31:16Speaker 5: Nobody knew how to do hip hop and people were
- 31:18Speaker 5: trying their level best. I used to copy all the artists.
- 31:21Speaker 5: I've deleted all that music, by the way, which I'm
- 31:22Speaker 5: talking about.
- 31:23Speaker 4: So one fine day, nothing was working because this is
- 31:26Speaker 4: like at least 11, 12 years ago. Nothing was working
- 31:31Speaker 4: and I could not find my style.
- 31:33Speaker 5: So I am a.
- 31:35Speaker 4: Very sarcastic or a very witty guy.
- 31:39Speaker 5: From birth. So I don't try to be funny. I
- 31:41Speaker 5: am funny. So that is what worked for me.
- 31:44Speaker 4: And one fine day I was fed up with everything
- 31:46Speaker 4: and I was like, no, I just want to do
- 31:47Speaker 4: what I'm best at.
- 31:48Speaker 5: And I just took an online beat. and wrote some
- 31:52Speaker 5: lyrics on it and I went to my friend and.
- 31:54Speaker 4: He was like, this is who you are. This is
- 31:56Speaker 4: what you should do. This is your personality. So, from
- 32:00Speaker 4: my point of view, if you want to survive in
- 32:01Speaker 4: the hip-hop scene, now the hip-hop scene is too big
- 32:04Speaker 4: in India. And there are many, many rappers and why
- 32:07Speaker 4: many people do not I'm not able to find the
- 32:09Speaker 4: footing is because everybody's trying to copy or is inspired
- 32:13Speaker 4: by somebody, but you should be inspired. Like I'm inspired
- 32:16Speaker 4: by 50 Cent, Snoop, Eminem, Biggie Smalls and all those
- 32:21Speaker 4: hip hop artists. I used to listen to West Coast
- 32:23Speaker 4: hip hop a lot. Like I still believe I like,
- 32:26Speaker 4: I love Snoop. So obviously the artists that everybody listens to.
- 32:30Speaker 5: I mean, he's everywhere by the way. So I just
- 32:32Speaker 5: wanted to.
- 32:32Speaker 4: Have a unique approach and that is how I found
- 32:34Speaker 4: my style after I was fed up. with what was
- 32:37Speaker 4: going on with my own music, I just started writing
- 32:41Speaker 4: what I felt like. I didn't want to copy anybody.
- 32:43Speaker 4: I didn't want to talk about booze or chicks. I
- 32:46Speaker 4: wanted to talk about booze and chicks, but in my
- 32:48Speaker 4: own way.
- 32:48Speaker 5: So that is how it worked for me.
- 32:51Speaker 6: Did you ever find that, you know, being naturally funny
- 32:54Speaker 6: as you describe it to be, how did you bottle
- 32:57Speaker 6: that into a song? Was there like a formula that
- 33:00Speaker 6: you had to adopt in order to bring the punchline
- 33:02Speaker 6: to the verse or... was it just in your storytelling
- 33:05Speaker 6: it just came about how did that.
- 33:07Speaker 4: Happen so so uh i just wrote what i wanted
- 33:11Speaker 4: to write and with that i did one thing like
- 33:14Speaker 4: uh so i never studied nobody studies rap and everything
- 33:17Speaker 4: right so i just wanted to write whatever i wanted
- 33:19Speaker 4: whatever was in my head i just wrote everything down
- 33:23Speaker 4: and as it was coming and slowly slowly i uh
- 33:26Speaker 4: understood uh what the structure is how it should be
- 33:29Speaker 4: like how the bar should end everything i used to
- 33:31Speaker 4: listen to a lot of hip-hop music so That helped
- 33:34Speaker 4: me a lot to understand how the song is going
- 33:37Speaker 4: to be structured.
- 33:38Speaker 5: I just wrote what came into my head and see,
- 33:40Speaker 5: I was.
- 33:41Speaker 4: Very much inspired by Eminem and his Slim Shady persona.
- 33:45Speaker 4: And you can say that I have different sides to me.
- 33:49Speaker 5: But what India likes, what the.
- 33:52Speaker 4: Desi hip-hop community in itself likes is the sarcastic or
- 33:56Speaker 4: witty humor that I put out.
- 33:57Speaker 5: So I'm just having fun with that.
- 33:59Speaker 26: Yeah, I.
- 34:00Speaker 6: Whenever I watched your work, I was completely convinced that
- 34:04Speaker 6: everything was authentic, that there was no way that this
- 34:07Speaker 6: man could be faking this because it was showing up
- 34:11Speaker 6: in every discipline in your identity across the board. And
- 34:13Speaker 6: it was a way of not only the delivery, but
- 34:16Speaker 6: the style and the package in terms of. You know,
- 34:19Speaker 6: the culture you're carrying. And for me, I've seen that
- 34:23Speaker 6: persist in the work that you've done here. But I
- 34:25Speaker 6: wanted to ask you about the industry overall. You know,
- 34:28Speaker 6: you touched on the Indian hip-hop scene. Tell me about
- 34:32Speaker 6: that generally. What is it doing right and what is
- 34:35Speaker 6: it doing wrong right now for artists like you to succeed?
- 34:39Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 34:39Speaker 7: Even for the younger kids.
- 34:40Speaker 10: Mm-hmm.
- 34:43Speaker 4: So, from my point of view, the famous beef that
- 34:47Speaker 4: happened in India, it ignited the whole hip-hop scene.
- 34:50Speaker 5: And I think that beef was necessary so that everybody knows.
- 34:54Speaker 4: So, what the Indian community thrives on is on masala,
- 34:59Speaker 4: as we call it, or entertainment. So, they I loved
- 35:02Speaker 4: that beef, two people fighting, everybody got into that. Oh,
- 35:05Speaker 4: he's calling him that, he's calling him that.
- 35:08Speaker 5: Even I loved that beef. And I was talking to
- 35:11Speaker 5: Riftar at that time, but I loved everybody who was
- 35:13Speaker 5: dissing each other. I was having fun.
- 35:16Speaker 4: So now what is happening? So that was the boom
- 35:19Speaker 4: time for hip hop and people started earning money. I
- 35:22Speaker 4: started earning money for the first time in 2019 from YouTube.
- 35:25Speaker 4: And that was a big thing. I remember COVID was
- 35:28Speaker 4: just on its first.
- 35:30Speaker 5: Phase or the initial phase. And I was earning a
- 35:32Speaker 5: lot of money. Why?
- 35:34Speaker 4: Because the beef had happened. So that hit the hip
- 35:36Speaker 4: hop scene a lot. But nowadays, if you ask me
- 35:39Speaker 4: what is happening is like.
- 35:41Speaker 5: People in India. So the hip hop scene is still
- 35:44Speaker 5: doing very good.
- 35:46Speaker 4: But what is happening is that new kids these days
- 35:48Speaker 4: are just following one pattern or one flow that they
- 35:51Speaker 4: feel like, ah, this is good. This is, we will
- 35:53Speaker 4: go with this. And this is working.
- 35:55Speaker 5: Okay. This is working. We'll do this. So this is, I.
- 35:58Speaker 4: Try to tell people, like, I'm not trying to be
- 36:00Speaker 4: some kind of a guru or anything, but I try
- 36:02Speaker 4: to tell people that follow your own style. If something
- 36:05Speaker 4: is working for somebody, that means he was meant or
- 36:07Speaker 4: she was meant for that. And you don't need to
- 36:10Speaker 4: copy the other person.
- 36:11Speaker 5: I'll tell you.
- 36:17Speaker 7: Why I think you're a guru. I'll tell you why.
- 36:22Speaker 6: There is the future of this industry that I think
- 36:25Speaker 6: that you are displaying and demonstrating for everybody, which is
- 36:30Speaker 6: they must be larger than their music. And what you
- 36:34Speaker 6: have been able to do is you've been able to
- 36:36Speaker 6: utilize not only your work that you've done, of course,
- 36:38Speaker 6: with Amazon and these great shows that you're a part of,
- 36:42Speaker 6: but then also connected back to the music. And you
- 36:44Speaker 6: have created an ongoing dialogue for yourself out there in
- 36:48Speaker 6: the public. And I think that's something that the artists
- 36:51Speaker 6: of this next generation must have in their DNA if
- 36:54Speaker 6: they're going to be successful. So to me, what you're
- 36:57Speaker 6: doing in that level, you're a guru. Do you see
- 37:00Speaker 6: yourself that way?
- 37:02Speaker 4: So I first of all agree with you on that
- 37:04Speaker 4: fact that you have to sell the story and you
- 37:07Speaker 4: have to sell the character along with the music. So
- 37:10Speaker 4: I'll again be going back to the fact that why
- 37:13Speaker 4: I idolize 50 Cent, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, these guys. Because
- 37:17Speaker 4: they have a brand value. 50 at the age of
- 37:19Speaker 4: 51 or 52, I don't know exactly.
- 37:21Speaker 5: He still is relevant. Snoop Dogg, he's still relevant. How? Why?
- 37:24Speaker 4: Because they built a story around it. They sold their
- 37:26Speaker 4: character very well they started doing business around their work
- 37:29Speaker 4: around their music see music will be there for the
- 37:32Speaker 4: next 15 20 30 years or the time you are
- 37:35Speaker 4: very very hot in the market but you have to
- 37:37Speaker 4: sell yourself as a commodity that is what I did
- 37:41Speaker 4: when I went to those TV shows I did a
- 37:42Speaker 4: couple of reality captive reality shows the I was very
- 37:46Speaker 4: skeptical of doing it. The first one boomed way, way, way, way,
- 37:50Speaker 4: way too much.
- 37:51Speaker 5: And so what happened.
- 37:52Speaker 4: Was everybody from the age group of 15 to 65
- 37:55Speaker 4: became a fan. So 15, like I remember it was
- 37:59Speaker 4: Diwali time. I came from the first captive reality show
- 38:02Speaker 4: I did last year. It's not even been an year yet.
- 38:05Speaker 4: I remember I was just parking my car, a family
- 38:07Speaker 4: comes out of the car and everybody from the age
- 38:09Speaker 4: group of 12 to 65 is a fan.
- 38:12Speaker 5: How?
- 38:12Speaker 4: Because the grandmother used to love me in the TV
- 38:16Speaker 4: show and the kids were fans of music and the
- 38:20Speaker 4: guy in the middle.
- 38:21Speaker 5: Was a fan of both. So this is how it helps.
- 38:24Speaker 4: And how it helps also, many people, many rappers or
- 38:26Speaker 4: artists go to reality shows, but things don't work for them.
- 38:29Speaker 20: Why?
- 38:29Speaker 5: Because they're not authentic or true to themselves.
- 38:33Speaker 21: Right.
- 38:33Speaker 5: This is what I wanted. I wanted to go on
- 38:34Speaker 5: the show. I was like, if people are going to
- 38:36Speaker 5: love me, they're going to love me for who I am.
- 38:38Speaker 4: And if people do not like a certain thing or
- 38:40Speaker 4: certain things about me, I'll change it. But I'll not
- 38:43Speaker 4: change my personality overall just to get into the finale
- 38:46Speaker 4: or just.
- 38:47Speaker 5: To get into somebody's good books for some votes. So
- 38:49Speaker 5: these shows generally rely on votes. I was like, no,
- 38:52Speaker 5: I'll be me. And that is what happened. People love
- 38:55Speaker 5: me for being me. And this is what I tell people.
- 38:57Speaker 5: Tell your story. Tell yourself as a commodity.
- 38:59Speaker 7: Yeah, that's excellent advice.
- 39:02Speaker 6: And brother, as I was saying, as the Guru Bali does,
- 39:06Speaker 6: so should you. Because I think, as I was saying
- 39:08Speaker 6: to you, you represent that new industry. You know, when
- 39:13Speaker 6: you look at the work that you've done, whether it
- 39:15Speaker 6: is on MTV Hustle as a judge and you sat
- 39:18Speaker 6: in front of these kids and you've talked to them
- 39:20Speaker 6: about the work that they're doing, what is something that
- 39:23Speaker 6: you find yourself saying a lot to them? I i
- 39:26Speaker 6: would imagine it is you know go find your own
- 39:28Speaker 6: identity and stick to that right but beyond that from
- 39:31Speaker 6: the actual artistic from the actual talent perspective of being
- 39:36Speaker 6: a vocalist or a lyricist what do you find yourself
- 39:39Speaker 6: telling these kids more than not find your own voice.
- 39:43Speaker 5: That is what I tell everybody. Like you have to
- 39:46Speaker 5: have a USP. You have to.
- 39:49Speaker 4: Do something that is very unique and you have to write.
- 39:52Speaker 4: So I, what I do, I take a lot of
- 39:54Speaker 4: time to write because I don't, I just don't want
- 39:56Speaker 4: to like end the bar with like, if like I
- 40:00Speaker 4: am this, this, like this, I'm to do this, this,
- 40:03Speaker 4: like this. I don't want to use the word like
- 40:04Speaker 4: or Jessa.
- 40:05Speaker 5: In Hindi that they use. I don't want to use that.
- 40:07Speaker 5: I want to paint a story. I want to say something.
- 40:10Speaker 4: So abusing is not something new in hip-hop now.
- 40:13Speaker 5: Everybody has abused.
- 40:14Speaker 4: But you need to abuse in a very fun or
- 40:16Speaker 4: a very different way. Because you cannot just go and
- 40:18Speaker 4: straight away say that line. So I just try to
- 40:20Speaker 4: be unique. I take a lot of time to write
- 40:22Speaker 4: my bars, the lines, whatever you want to call it.
- 40:25Speaker 5: So I just tell everybody, just be unique. Be different.
- 40:30Speaker 4: Have something that people come back and listen to you.
- 40:32Speaker 4: Because they should want like, okay, he is different.
- 40:35Speaker 5: I want to listen to him for this particular aspect
- 40:38Speaker 5: that he's good at.
- 40:42Speaker 6: I think, Bali, that's fabulous advice. And for all the
- 40:47Speaker 6: artists out there, they should definitely pick up on that.
- 40:49Speaker 6: I wanted to turn our attention towards your independent work
- 40:52Speaker 6: that you're putting out here. And specifically, you know, what
- 40:57Speaker 6: we should expect from you. But, you know, when you
- 41:01Speaker 6: say that you're ushering in a new generation of of
- 41:06Speaker 6: Dilly hip hop or of Indian hip hop. How does
- 41:10Speaker 6: this work fall into that vision of yours?
- 41:14Speaker 4: So currently, I'm working on my album. But before that,
- 41:17Speaker 4: I'll be dropping. So I'll be touching every aspect of
- 41:22Speaker 4: hip hop.
- 41:22Speaker 5: I'll be going towards commercial.
- 41:24Speaker 4: I'll be doing my own sarcastic approach or the fun
- 41:27Speaker 4: approach I have.
- 41:28Speaker 5: And some hard-hitting tracks as well. So going into the future,
- 41:31Speaker 5: I'll be dropping.
- 41:32Speaker 4: So I have another very intricate, very nice concept. like
- 41:36Speaker 4: you must have seen that Shero Shirey that goes on
- 41:38Speaker 4: yeah and people are like so that is the concept
- 41:42Speaker 4: you listen to it like I think October 1st or
- 41:44Speaker 4: 2nd week it's a very fun concept it's like it's
- 41:47Speaker 4: a match between Shero Shirey and Battle Rap right like
- 41:51Speaker 4: I'm just dropping bars and everybody will be so it's
- 41:54Speaker 4: kind of that kind of concept and after that I'll
- 41:56Speaker 4: be dropping a couple of commercial tracks followed by.
- 41:58Speaker 6: My album oh this is great that's very cool what
- 42:01Speaker 6: do you like better do you like being in front
- 42:02Speaker 6: of the camera or in the microphone booth Both.
- 42:06Speaker 4: I love both. I, so I've been used to now
- 42:09Speaker 4: being in front of the camera a lot after the
- 42:11Speaker 4: TV shows that I did, but I love both. I
- 42:13Speaker 4: like to act as well sometimes. So you must've seen
- 42:16Speaker 4: my videos. I try to play every character as many
- 42:19Speaker 4: characters as possible.
- 42:20Speaker 5: And so that is what I do.
- 42:22Speaker 6: In Alliance, the show you have coming up here on,
- 42:26Speaker 6: on Amazon that you did and, and you know, it's
- 42:29Speaker 6: a captive reality show as you put it.
- 42:31Speaker 7: Do you find yourself changing personalities?
- 42:35Speaker 6: As you go from these dynamics, is it the different
- 42:38Speaker 6: people that pull out the different things from you?
- 42:39Speaker 7: How does that work?
- 42:42Speaker 4: So I did, uh, the first reality show that I did, uh,
- 42:44Speaker 4: nine months back was rise and fall. And, uh, that was,
- 42:47Speaker 4: I think the French or a Dutch show.
- 42:49Speaker 5: I don't remember exactly. That was a concept that they
- 42:52Speaker 5: brought in India. And, uh, that, uh, in that.
- 42:55Speaker 4: Show and in Alliance as well, uh, right now, I
- 42:57Speaker 4: think that, uh, Ended like a month ago.
- 43:00Speaker 5: I was on Prime. Amazon Prime.
- 43:02Speaker 4: So what I did was I was just me. I
- 43:05Speaker 4: never tried to be anything else. You have to get
- 43:09Speaker 4: into somebody's good books for a couple of votes. I
- 43:12Speaker 4: changed myself like 5 to 10%. That's it. 90% I
- 43:15Speaker 4: was who I am.
- 43:17Speaker 7: That's great. That's so funny.
- 43:20Speaker 6: Bobby, I love to answer, ask this question on the
- 43:24Speaker 6: way out for you. For a lot of artists and
- 43:26Speaker 6: people that I speak to here on this You know,
- 43:29Speaker 6: I have a feeling I know what you're going to say,
- 43:33Speaker 6: but the advice that I always ask of you would
- 43:36Speaker 6: be if you were to speak to yourself as the
- 43:41Speaker 6: young kid that was coming out of Delhi, what would
- 43:44Speaker 6: you have told yourself right now in the moment that
- 43:47Speaker 6: you are to that young kid that would have helped
- 43:49Speaker 6: him get through whatever he was going through in that moment?
- 43:54Speaker 4: I'm just saying that keep doing what you're doing right
- 43:56Speaker 4: now because it's eventually going to fall in place and
- 43:58Speaker 4: you're going to earn a lot of money.
- 44:00Speaker 5: So don't worry. At the end of the day, it's
- 44:04Speaker 5: all money. You need, you need to respect everything. That
- 44:08Speaker 5: guy must be happy. I'll just tell him like you, you,
- 44:10Speaker 5: you will get everything that you want. Just keep doing
- 44:12Speaker 5: what you're doing and be happy. I love it. I
- 44:15Speaker 5: love it. Um, yeah.
- 44:19Speaker 6: A producer, rapper, businessman, extraordinaire. Bali, thank you so much

- 46:50Speaker 1: To Bali for joining us this morning.
- 46:54Speaker 5: Really enjoyed that conversation.
- 47:19Speaker 6: Bali is very astute. You get that he knows what
- 47:23Speaker 6: he's doing there. A tremendous amount of confidence, as you
- 47:26Speaker 6: would expect from him, given the character that he plays
- 47:30Speaker 6: out there. But now, after that interview, you get the
- 47:34Speaker 6: feeling that that's just who he is.
- 47:36Speaker 7: Very safely. What's up, Dorita?
- 47:38Speaker 20: Thanks, Sammy.
- 47:39Speaker 7: Hey, everyone.
- 47:40Speaker 20: This is Dorita Deshgupta, your Ruckus Avenue Radio music correspondent,
- 47:44Speaker 20: back with some fun facts about your favorite artists. Today,
- 47:47Speaker 20: we're spotlighting a true musical genius, Amit Trivedi. Amit Trivedi
- 47:52Speaker 20: redefined Bollywood music with his unique style. From his breakthrough
- 47:55Speaker 20: in Death D that earned him a National Film Award
- 47:57Speaker 20: to unforgettable tracks like Gudan, Queen, and Man Marzian, this
- 48:01Speaker 20: man knows how to create magic across genres. And it's
- 48:04Speaker 20: not slowing down. Recently, Amit dropped the album Azad Collab
- 48:07Speaker 20: with tracks like Velo Velo, Kirti Ronak, blending traditional vibes
- 48:11Speaker 20: with the modern twist. Plus, the song Essa Mein Shaitan
- 48:14Speaker 20: from Shaitan is already a hit. Amit's ability to connect
- 48:17Speaker 20: diverse musical worlds is what makes him a standout. Whether
- 48:20Speaker 20: it's a soulful melody or edgy beat, he's got it
- 48:23Speaker 20: all covered. Well, that's all from me. Now back to you, Sammy.
- 48:27Speaker 6: I always sing the praises of Amit Rivedi. You know,
- 48:31Speaker 6: that's another gentleman that we got to pull into this
- 48:33Speaker 6: show for a conversation. I have a lot to ask him.
- 48:36Speaker 6: The musical genius that he is. This song is called Jinarose.
- 48:42Speaker 6: Played a single from Amitravedi.
- 48:45Speaker 2: Jinarose, gulzarose.
- 49:37Speaker 28: Roop Le Aai Subha.
- 50:02Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 50:53Speaker 21: Chinnaro se gulzaro se Safedo ki kataro se Dheeraise zara,
- 51:05Speaker 21: holaise zara Kachi kachi dhoop le aayi sabha Raisham raisham
- 51:13Speaker 21: roop le aayi.
- 51:15Speaker 7: Sabha I'm a triveti.
- 51:26Speaker 6: The song called Chinarose. I did enjoy that conversation with Bali,
- 51:31Speaker 6: and I specifically, I may have been joking with him,
- 51:34Speaker 6: but I kind of am not, as I was thinking
- 51:36Speaker 6: about calling him, as I was calling him guru, right?
- 51:39Speaker 6: Because of how he has gone about himself. And in
- 51:44Speaker 6: terms of really making himself wider than just the music
- 51:47Speaker 6: that he's putting out, he's given narrative and context to
- 51:50Speaker 6: his character out there.
- 51:52Speaker 7: So shout out to Bali. I'm going to come back
- 51:54Speaker 7: with some closing remarks.
- 52:25Speaker 12: Paisa te paise na poore shaun Raja raaji naame tera
- 52:29Speaker 12: ji ni kaake taun Puhuhe te jaake wehri de karda
- 52:33Speaker 12: sida naam Kiko thali jitthe lali raun Aap poore hai
- 52:36Speaker 12: ni jaali Mahdi bali ki ti kaali Aundi jaave kitne
- 52:39Speaker 12: chali Te tu wahi manu.
- 52:41Speaker 7: Na pali Pinti.
- 52:42Speaker 12: Chali rengde naali Pahde sahayali naali Kole kast me bantali
- 52:46Speaker 12: Ho na rola jinne khali Bande hunde ne o jhali
- 52:49Speaker 12: Mainu mape mere kahinde Chagi naalo todhi khali Ohi mani
- 52:53Speaker 12: kha nepali Naame naara piche ghali I am the world,
- 52:56Speaker 12: my whole life is full of abuses, abuses and abuses
- 52:59Speaker 12: That's why I became a man, why did I become
- 53:01Speaker 12: a woman?
- 53:14Speaker 12: She says,
- 53:18Speaker 12: listen to this girl, she lives for me, she lives
- 53:21Speaker 12: her life to the fullest.
- 53:22Speaker 2: She says, sit down, you have come ahead of everyone.
- 53:25Speaker 2: She says, don't get too excited.
- 53:28Speaker 12: I'm not in a hurry. She says, Jaggi ji, how
- 53:31Speaker 12: much did you like your Shabbir? The soul was like
- 53:35Speaker 12: a genie, someone was sitting in the first row. That's
- 53:38Speaker 12: why the boy is there, and the girl is there.
- 53:40Speaker 12: The money goes to the shop, and the money is
- 53:42Speaker 12: not complete. Raja Raji is in the name of you.
- 53:49Speaker 6: One of the songs that we've been playing here lately
- 53:56Speaker 6: on the bridge. Shout out to Bali. And let me
- 54:01Speaker 6: tell you guys what you just heard. What I found
- 54:04Speaker 6: in Bali was awareness. A man who knows exactly who
- 54:08Speaker 6: he is. Humble about the art form he's engaged in.
- 54:12Speaker 6: But absolutely clear about his greatest asset. His identity.
- 54:17Speaker 7: And he told you that himself. He doesn't try to
- 54:20Speaker 7: be funny. He is funny.
- 54:22Speaker 6: And he figured out early in his journey that his
- 54:25Speaker 6: wit would walk him through the door. But don't let
- 54:28Speaker 6: that funny man stuff fool you. Listen to the way
- 54:31Speaker 6: he articulates his character, all the way down to his lyrics,
- 54:34Speaker 6: down into the production that they sit on top of.
- 54:37Speaker 6: That's a parade of his talents, moving past you like
- 54:40Speaker 6: a military procession. The arsenal is clear. But humor, humor
- 54:46Speaker 6: is the bullet. and understand why Bali matters beyond the music.
- 54:50Speaker 6: He is the future of what an artist has to
- 54:52Speaker 6: do to create narrative nowadays. He took that unmistakable identity
- 54:57Speaker 6: into television, and he changed, by his own account, 5%.
- 55:00Speaker 6: The rest stayed Bali. And a whole family in a
- 55:05Speaker 6: parking lot on Diwali, 12 years old to 65, became
- 55:08Speaker 6: fans of the same man, completely for different reasons. That's
- 55:13Speaker 6: what honesty does when you deploy it. And for that,
- 55:16Speaker 6: you have to commend him. Because you're not just looking
- 55:19Speaker 6: at an artist at work. You're looking at a man
- 55:21Speaker 6: who figured out that his own authentic self is the
- 55:24Speaker 6: greatest weapon he possesses. What can't be faked can't be shaken.
- 55:30Speaker 6: Bali is a living manifestation of a simple law. What
- 55:33Speaker 6: is authentic will win, regardless of the art form. He
- 55:37Speaker 6: connected all of it, the television, the music, the character,
- 55:40Speaker 6: through one line. Authenticity is efficient. And when you're efficient,
- 55:45Speaker 6: you're dangerous. And to be funny, ladies and gentlemen, you
- 55:49Speaker 6: have to be dangerous. That's Bali, and you heard it
- 55:52Speaker 6: here on the bridge. Have a great day, everybody.
- 55:56Speaker 7: I'll see you tomorrow.
- 56:08Speaker 26: Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Sukha ke paun nal pairan to rati chaad ke

- 57:53Speaker 24: Fehnde saar hi akhaan na mitaan haazri laama Apni surat
- 58:03Speaker 24: naal hasti nu mudh waakif bhi karwaama Duaale chup hai

- 58:59Speaker 24: the dark of the night, the lamp of my life
- 59:04Speaker 24: is lit in the sky. The night of my awakening
- 59:05Speaker 24: is like the morning of the sky.
- 59:09Speaker 26: The night of my awakening.
- 59:15Speaker 24: Is like the morning of the sky. Meri jago chwe
- 59:25Speaker 24: diwe ne asmani parataan de Duaale viks de aalam di
