- Big Country: Welcome in. This is episode eleven of the Altitude Problems Podcast. I'm your co host, Big Country, alongside my partner P V. It's been a couple of weeks, man, but how you doing? PV: I'm doing pretty good. It's good to see ya. How you doing, my guy? Big Country: you know, we're living. working, living, trying to have fun, trying to get through the dog days of summer it feels like, with you know, no MBA, no football, we just got baseball, so now that yeah, yeah. Yeah, PV: Yeah, World Cup ended too, so not a lot going on. Big Country: like the World Cup helped bridge the gap a little bit, but you know. As you know, it's just baseball, so And F one. So yes, let me so what's going down with F one th? PV: Right, yeah. And F one, yeah, you know, you get the occasional F one race. Yeah, you know, we had another race this past weekend. We have another one going on this weekend, actually tomorrow morning we'll have it in Hungary. But last weekend we saw Kimi Antonelli take a big leap in the drivers championship, ended up taking first place again in another race, and George Russell ended up having some battery issues early on, had a crash with Lewis Hamilton, ended up taking him out of the race. Lewis Hamilton, because of that crash, ends up falling a few places. gets a penalty because of that, and that ends up also taking him pretty low. So Kimmy takes a pretty big leap forward there. But Charles Leclerc, he did help Ferrari stay in that constructors championship, took second place, got them a nice set of points there, and then Max first stap and did get a podium finish with a third place finish. So, you know, another solid race for Max. couple of different things that we're gonna see this weekend. We saw the Aston Martin make fifteen different changes on their car. so and we did see some improvements in qualifying. You know, it's the first time all year we saw one of them make it to Q two. but you know nothing major. They still were they still qualified like sixteenth, something like that. Nothing grand, but definitely an improvement from what we've seen all year. So we'll see what they can pull off in the race. Big Country: Nice. Yeah. I know I stayed up a well tried to stay up last weekend to watch that race and ultimately failed at, you know, seven thirty in the morning. But PV: Yeah. Big Country: sure got me fired up about it though, I can't lie. but talk to me a little bit about what happened also last weekend, on Sunday. PV: Yeah. so you know, on Sunday we saw actually on Sunday specifically, what happened on Sunday? Was that when LeBron was that when LeBron went to Big Country: Yep, Sunday. It was it was Sunday, Pat. Well, it was the World Cup. PV: feeling? was that really the World Cup game? Damn, that's crazy. yeah, you're right. Yeah, 'cause yeah, the game the game the day before was the one that blew my mind. I th so yeah, you know, it was it Big Country: Yeah, that was a crazy game. PV: was yeah, it it it did so we saw the World Cup game on s Sunday. Spain ends up taking the World Cup one to zero but It was the game prior to that r that really felt like the final, France versus England, that six to four game, late in the game. It was about five to four before Bellingham put it out of reach. So s that one was a crazy game. But we did see Spain take it down. There's a lot of suspicion around that game, however, you know, Argentina had no shots in the first ninety minutes of regular time. first ninety minutes of the game for all of regular time. And only ended up and having two shots on the goal by the end of the game. Ended up not scoring whatsoever. There's a lot of clips going around with audio, Messi missing all of his shots pre-game, you know, a lot of very definitely very suspicious circumstances. People think that they may have thrown the game due to a lot of allegations throughout the FIFA World Cup. You know, a lot of us were talk we we talked about it on the pod, everyone was talking about it on the internet. There was definitely a lot of suspicious stuff going on with Argentina throughout the Cup, so For them to kind of just take a back step. you know, pe a lot of people now have that conspiracy that it may have just been because of those allegations they felt like they couldn't win the game. A lot of people are throwing around this idea that they may have had a 10-year suspension from FIFA if they were to get this class action lawsuit filed. So it it's definitely pretty weird. who knows what the truth is, but regardless, Spain ends up coming out on top. Laminha Mall takes out Ronaldo Mbappe. and Messi all the way to the final to ho hoist the trophy. So big news for the young guy. Big Country: Yeah, I mean completed the largest part of his career. I mean his first time. It's kind of insane to see. congrats to him, you know, all these little heads are gonna be out for the next round of the World Cup, you know, in twenty twenty what, thirty? Twenty thirty? Yeah. PV: Twenty thirty, yep. Big Country: So so I mean like kinda like what we were saying, you know, about a month ago, you know, I kinda took an interest in it, but I'm completely back to not having single fuck about it PV: He Big Country: that I care, you know? So we're on we're on to football and we're on to basketball and we're on to baseball. Full steam ahead. And I guess I guess we talk about it now, but talk a little bit about our Rockies, you know. Pray Didland is about ten days. I believe it's the first Monday in August, so a little over a week out. Teams kind of just now been the same team they kinda have been all season, you know, nothing crazy, but enough to stay consistent. But we need I think you know, the Rockies should move some of their assets that they have, especially guys that, you know, you don't see too far in the future. guys like, you know, maybe Mickey Moniak or Antonio Cinzatella. I it's Cenzatella's gone for sure. But Montiak, you know, a lot of people question whether we want to sell him or not, considering we still have control of him. But I think, given like the luxury that he is a great left handed hitting bad against right handed pitching, I think a team will pay for that. And I think the Rockies should definitely capitalize on that as well. but no in no uncertain terms, please do not get rid of Hunter Goodman this early. We should wait this one out. PV: Yeah, no. Big Country: you we have not seen this good of a hitting catcher in back to back seasons in a very long time. This goes across the sport. I mean, we saw Cal Cal Raleigh hit sixty home runs last year. Look what he's doing now. PV: Not looking in. Yeah. Big Country: He's a bum. You know, not not no, he's not a bum. But you know what? You know, we shouldn't take this for granted. I'm not saying extend him by any means, but do not sell him now. we still have three more years of control after this year, and I feel like he could we've only seen a little bit of his potential. I feel like that he can go even higher. and the fact that he hits well on the road compared to that home is ridiculous. PV: Yeah, I think that road bat especially is what we need, you know, none of our players struggle to hit at home. but you know, sometimes when we're on the road things can be a little different, but he's that spark plug that we need for sure. Big Country: Yeah, and and there's certain guys on in the in the pen that I think they they they can move. but like thing with the Rockies is they don't really need to trade anyone 'cause they don't have to theoretically, but they should, you know. Because you have some good bullpen arms and those same bullpen bullpen arms are gonna be good next year. And getting rid of those guys, you know, getting like a new wave of guys coming up. I mean, this team is not making the playoffs or twenty games below five hundred. No point in having something where you can get like maybe a long shot or a decent prospect back in return. You should capitalize on that opportunity. But as we're recording this on Saturday, you know, July twenty fifth, we saw some pretty big moves yesterday at work, you know, me and you. We saw LeBron James is gonna be a seventy-sixer. Give me your thoughts. PV: Yeah. I mean, you know, it was a shock and not a shock for me. You know, part of me f i I feel like I fell for a lot of what a lot of people were saying, you know, he goes back to Miami, he goes back to Cleveland, whatever. but I think he did come out and say early, before his free agency he wanted to go to a contender. So I think seeing what Philly was building, it doesn't come as that big of a surprise. I think obviously it it definitely feels a little out of the field because Philly just now became a really big elite team that kind of pushes themselves into contention after years of like being just barely a playoff team. you know, they had the pieces, they just, you know, they never really made it made that big push in the playoffs. They always, you know, in the year Embiid won VP he was a first round exit. Philly, you know, they never really They never made it to the finals. They never were really that team to make that push. They always felt like they had the star players, but they could never make it, which is why this kind of feels interesting for me with LeBron, is because they just signed all these star players, but you haven't seen the what the team can really do. So it's kind of just, you know, betting on potential here, and hoping that it pays off, even though for Philly it hasn't in the past. So I think it'll be really I think it'll be a really interesting new team. you know, you have a lot of veterans in there. You have Joel, you have Jalen Brown, you have LeBron, but are they veterans that know how to play with each other is gonna be the question. We've seen veteran superstars be put together, and it not work out. LeBron did it with the Cavs and it went horribly. and so, you know, I think I think they will definitely make a push, but I don't think that it's enough to call them a championship team just yet. And I think that LeBron going there, if anything could potentially shake up the chemistry they they have just because I feel like LeBron really is gonna have to take is is gonna he's he always is the player to be that big voice on that team, you know, and kinda take control, especially on the court, and manage those plays and everything. So I think regardless, it's gonna do something with the team chemistry and how they play and it definitely makes a big impact, whether it's negative or positive, I guess we'll have to see. Big Country: Yeah, I mean my thing with Philly is like I mean, staying healthy I think is their primary concern. If Indeed's healthy, that team will be a very good team. You know? Ex at the same you need it you need a big. And without him, who does he really have to play the big? Adam Bona? No. I mean I li I didn't like mind the move. Was it a team I had even thought about? No. Not even a chance. I thought he Cavs, Warriors, easily or top three, you know. but he's chasing the ring. Why wouldn't he? He's forty gonna be forty-two come to the end of December. but at the same time, I mean like LeBron's not gonna be the one, two, three. He may not even be the fifth option. That's what's crazy. Like yeah, cause he first of all doesn't have to be. He'll be starting, yes, but like PV: I don't I mean if he's gonna he's gonna be starting, so he'll be the fifth option. Big Country: Th that's what's great about this move is like this team is that good. Tyrese Maxey, scorer. Jalen Brown, MVP candidate last year. Joel Embiid, he is an MVP. Play like an MVP. And then you got VJ Ed Edgecombe, great, great rookie. Came out of last year's class. Feel like he's being a little overlooked because he's basic he should I mean he should be like, you know, coming up in this PV: Think Big Country: season, like taking that year or two leap. But now with like the Ron, it's like, holy shit. Who's gonna be the gritty guy, you know? PV: That's that's kinda yeah, that's kinda my problem is you have all these point scores. Who's gonna be the guy that takes over? I mean, the whole reason Tyrese Maxie had such a successful year last year was he constantly had to take over. Like you mentioned, Joel Embiid and his injuries they the last season they was riddled with them, so he was constantly being that guy to take over. And I think the big bright spot, like you mentioned that not a lot of people are mentioning is gonna be VJ Edgecombe, because VJ Edgecombe isn't the kind of player that you you just He'll he'll always take a man. He's the kind of player that he'll take a man when you need him to. You know, he was he was coming off the bench last year for a majority of the year and he was providing a lot of points as a spark plug when you needed it. he wasn't the kind of player that demanded the ball, he was the kind of player that when you needed to get a shot from him, he would give you that shot. I think he's the best part of I think he's gonna be the best part of this not the best part of this team. But like you mentioned, I think he's a very underrated part of this team. someone that you can rely on for a shot when you need. But I think that's kind of the problem with having all these different scores is a lot of these scores really need to start getting cooking, especially players like Tyrese Maxi. Tyrese Maxi only really plays well if he's cooking the whole game. He doesn't really just suddenly turn it on and start playing really well, because you ask him to. You know, he has to be in control that whole game. And so I think that's kind of where things might get shaken up a little bit here, especially with Jalen Brown. And now LeBron being introduced, when you already had Joel and BJ Edgecom's now moving up in the roster. So it definitely there is a lot of scoring potential there and a lot of really, really good talent. so it's just it's gonna come down to coaching and game management and seeing if they can actually figure out how to make it work. Big Country: Yeah. And LeBron can play obviously play any position. There's like so much l lineup flexibility when you have him too. Plus I think we're forgetting about Anthony Simmons, too. Like a backup guard of his caliber. PV: Yeah. He's solid. Yeah, he's a solid backup guard, yeah. Big Country: If they have just, you know, three solid guys on the bench, th I think you can easily win this championship. Easily. I mean, that's what it comes down to sometimes as the playoffs. It's like having your depth guys come in when you know the the heavy hitters are staying on the bench, you know. But I mean time will tell. I I wish LeBron nothing but success. I mean I don't really I wouldn't mind seeing him win another ring. I care less. I I could s I would like to see you know Philly win a championship. They haven't won one in a long time where they have won one, right? Have to. PV: Yeah, I think so. Back in Doctor J's era, let's see. Big Country: That sounds yeah, that sounds right. I mean they got Jabari Walker, great backup forward C U product, just saying. Caleb Love, another backup guard. I mean, you got talent a lot in a lot of the roster. So it's just how like it like you said, how well is it gonna be coached? How how coachable is it going to be? And how are they all gonna fit? You know, chemistry wise, you strafted the guy second twenty second overall. overall LeBaron Falan Junior out of Alabama. So interesting. Okay, so it's been a f long fucking time. PV: Yeah, they won in sixty seven. and then later in eighty three. Yeah, they won in eighty three with Dr. J and Moses Malone as well. Big Country: Okay, so forty three years would we'll be forty four next year. I mean I if we're not excited about this, I think we're just foolish 'cause this will be sick to watch. PV: Yeah, definitely it would be a it would be a cool championship for sure. but yeah, they definitely still have their work cut out for them. You know, talent talent or not. the best teams in the NBA as of late haven't been the most talented ones, they've been the ones that have the most chemistry, the ones that are clicking the best on the court. So we'll see what Big Country: Yeah. Yeah. PV: happens. Big Country: Yeah, and honestly like I could see very easily see them and like the Spurs in the finals. Thunder, I mean you were kinda talking about this earlier, just like the how the apron's been affecting them, you know. I don't really I could see them making another run. but the West doesn't look as scary as the East does right now, PV: Yeah. Big Country: let me tell ya. PV: Yeah, I think with the apron, you know, Thunder the Thunder being most recent victims of it, it certainly has a lot of positives, but it certainly has a lot of negatives, you know. And I think Ian kind of mentioned these negatives to me one time when we were talking about it. the positives as a fan are the NBA has been significantly more balanced as of late. I mean, you don't see dynasties take over, you don't see these teams that are just constantly winning the championship over and over again. You're seeing a lot of competition and teams are trying to the the same teams a lot of the time try to make a run back to the championship, but you're also seeing a lot of new teams make those runs to the championship. And you've seen a lot of new teams actually win the championship. And you see a lot of teams that have been trying to make the championship actually make it. You saw Denver after a few years win it. We just recently saw the Knicks after a few years win it before them. The Thunder had been chopping away at it for a few years. So, you know, it's it's definitely really cool to see the balance in the EMBA nowadays. But I can certainly see how it sucks if for one, you're a fan of a certain team, or two, obviously if you're a GM or an owner of that team, because you do so well in drafting such incredible talented players and in the end you have to pay for it because you just simply the the new apron rules don't allow you to keep so much talent on the roster. they don't allow you to kind of like they they they there's a really hard red a really restrictive salary cap. It doesn't allow you to push back a lot of contracts and stuff and see so you see a lot of teams let go of players like recently the Thunder had to let go of Lou Dort, one of their set pieces, you Big Country: Two Hawks. PV: know. somebody yep to the Hawks, somebody that constantly brought that defensive pressure and energy. you know, they didn't want to let him go, but they were forced to let him go. And so A lot of theme things like that, you saw them like go of Isaiah Joe, Aaron Wiggins. you know, it was it's obviously a plethora of things and it sucks definitely for them, but it certainly does make sense as well for the balance of the NBA. So I can see why it is it is applied. Big Country: I also think, you know, if we all remember like when Sam Preste, you know, he was get getting all those draft picks. Like this was looming, let's be honest. It was it's been looming for a while and he still has draft picks. you know, develop, keep on your team. Get rid of, you know. PV: Yeah, they still they still went and got Jared McCain, you know, you still they still you can still be a really good GM, go out, Big Country: Yeah. PV: get some cheap contracts like McCain and you know, you're still fine. So obviously Big Country: Or guys just on rookie deals. PV: Yeah, yeah, just guys on Ricky Deals, you know, obviously as much as as much as it sucks in the moment, I think overall it's better for the NBA, you know, more balance and if you're gonna have to figure out your salary cap and you have to figure it out, you know. And I think that that's a good thing ultimately. Big Country: And those guys like you're talking about, like Isaiah Joe, Aaron Wiggins, you know, they were due paydays for one. And two, you know, they were probably deserving of maybe some starting roles too. But the Thunder probably, you know, can't fully give them because they have great PV: Yeah. Yeah, they can't offer. Right. Big Country: starting guys already. You know, they already have Hardension, Holmgren, Jaleb Williams, and then Shea. I mean, there's not much room for those guys to really like grow and flourish, but fuck right? PV: Yeah. Big Country: The Thunder. kind of something that like affects both Thunder and the Nuggets is we saw Spencer Jones sign a two year twelve million dollar deal with the Thunder, but the Nuggets have till I believe tomorrow to match it. do you think we match it? PV: Yeah, and I think we should match it. especially one of those playoff games that we had last year. He was practically the only guy bringing any hustle onto the court. you know, and that was one of the most disappointing aspects of the Nuggets last year was that hustle during the playoff run. They just they looked dead out there. It was disappointing. so Spencer Jones is one of those few guys that was putting the hustle, putting the pressure out there. We saw it random twenty point game out of him in that playoff run. so Big Country: Yeah. PV: it definitely would be a shame to let him go, especially for, you know, two year twelve million. Like we can we can match that. So I think if we let him go to someone like the Big Country: You don't even think that, yeah. PV: Thunder, then I think it would be disappointing. Big Country: They you don't want the rich to get a little bit richer, you know, especially with a guy that has been valuable for us in the past that helped provide, you know, valuable minutes for Jokic off the court. but, you know, kinda something I'm kind of seeing a theme with Nuggets and Team IL server for the Warriors. Like, what the fuck are we doing this whole entire off season? Feels like they're not doing literally anything. Like, we're just watching PV: Yeah, and the nuggets is money problems. Big Country: West teams get get better, East Teams get better, and then there's us. Then we're just like, hmm. Okay. I saw the Warriors are going after a guy in the Euro League for Real Madrid. Mario Hernonia, I forget PV: Yeah. Big Country: his name. He played in the NBA before, but I was like, this is the option that we have after we're losing out on forty two year old LeBron James? You fucking kidding me? Like that it like pissed me up because PV: Yeah, that's Big Country: it's like is this like the only franchise to not surround their freaking You know, one of one player, you know? Every other team surrounds aging talent with talent. Why can't the Warriors? Something's like going on or s I don't know. Anyways, who gives a shit really at the end of the day? But PV: Yeah. Yeah, with the Nuggets I think our contracts ruined us, unfortunately. Big Country: Yeah. I I mean I'm not saying they're not making calls, they're not trying to, you know, move players, but I mean, I don't think the Nuggets can really get to where they're at without taking like a loss first, you know, eating something, you know? And if that means, you know, taking lesser of on a contract lesser of on a player like you maybe what's his name? Christian Brown. Like we know we're not gonna get much out of him if we're gonna have to Basically have a team pay for what we signed up for. You know? So we're not I feel like it's almost on a tradable contract right now. So everyone's just PV: Yeah. Yeah, it is. Big Country: gonna see it as a salary jump. Get what? Second round pick? No, not gonna happen. But anyways, well. but let's let's just jump straight into like kind of like what we wanted to do today for pod. We're gonna be doing a DraftKings Best ball lineup draft. kind of give you guys our thoughts and what we're thinking for each. And then yeah. Yeah. What do you think of that? PV: Yeah. Sounds good. Let's do it. Big Country: So we're gonna have join one for ten bucks. you know if you guys wanna join in, I believe you can draft up until the ninth of September. We're gonna draft our team now so everyone you know can see what we do. share this window. Right into it. keep We're gonna do the fast thirty second one tech so we can do this, you know, today. Alright, we're in a waiting room. This contest fills. PV: So we gotta wait for the other tw eleven people. Hopefully it doesn't take too long. Big Country: When the draft fills. PV: Yeah, the it's it's one out of twelve. Big Country: How can you tell? PV: It's right under the entry fee. Big Country: Sure. PV: So hopefully this doesn't take too long. But we can edit our rankings, yeah. Big Country: But we can kinda like, you know, hopefully this doesn't take forever. We can kinda like edit our rankings. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. PV: So I think top option is definitely, in my opinion, I think is gonna be Gibbs. Gibbs got a coordinator that is gonna be moving him with a lot more runs towards the gap, which is where he found a lot of his success last year. So I think that he's gonna actually not only see a big production because he's losing David Montgomery, but he also has a favorable coordinator going into this year for his run game. So I definitely have him at the top of my list. Big Country: No. I mean that's also if we get one of one. PV: Yeah. Obviously. Yeah, I say we said our top ten. So where do you think you would rank B John? You think so, even though Big Country: It's it's it's pretty simple, I'm gonna be honest. That one's i I think three four five is all wide receivers. I really don't think you can really get a bad receiver in these three whatsoever. They're all in great systems with pretty good quarterbacks. I'd say J Jason's probably five though, just because, you know, he lost his O C. But Puka and Jamar have the same quarterbacks and the same O C's in their system, so I really don't mind either one. PV: Do you have any fears about how Puka's off season might affect this season? He's had a pretty wild off season. Yeah, he's Big Country: fact that he's a degenerate retard. PV: been he's been kinda not normal. Big Country: No, because I mean, you kinda saw even during the season last year, when this guy needed to turn it on, you know, be NFL ready, be a pro on the field, he was just fine. I think they're they're talking PV: Yeah, that's true. Big Country: to him probably too. You know, the PR teams would be like, Hey, can we stop doing the you know, the stuff with Aiden Ross, please maybe maybe stop getting drunk in public. You know, he he just needs to grow up. You know, and hopefully it happens sooner rather than later. Because PV: Maybe stop biting women too. I think that was him. Am I getting that right? I think it was him. There was somebody that bit of women. Let me double check. Let me fact check myself. It was a while ago. Yeah, Pukunakua bike mark. Yeah. Big Country: When did he do that? When did he do that? When was it Puka did when was this? Puga Nakua bite mark is the first thing that comes up. clear PV: this was re s this was recent, but it stems Big Country: this is PV: from July or sorry, New Year's Eve of twenty twenty five. Big Country: It's alleged. I'm not gonna put weight on it if it's alleged. No. PV: Seleged. Big Country: I don't put any weight on that type of shit, man. People try to take money from these NFL stars like it's nothing. Yeah, I think it's personally just really gross. So PV: It is an ongoing lawsuit. They just now got the picture is what it is. is it already okay, yeah, it's coming out soon. Big Country: Alright, we 7 12. This should this should we should start this. Yeah, she she that bite could be been from her frickin' father, dude, like for all I know. Like, come on, dude. PV: Mm-hmm. Big Country: Like that's you know, I'm going on my soapbox here, but this that is like my biggest gripe with you know, NFL stars is dude, there's like you it feels like they're so unprotected. You know, these dudes just can't even frickin' try to settle down. PV: I don't know if I would say that. There's definitely quite a bit of protection for these NFL stars. There's definitely been quite a few that get away with a lot. Well, that's there's no one stopping Big Country: What's stopping anyone from saying, Hey, I got bit from Fukunakua? No one. PV: them from doing that, but there's also a lot of players that get away with a lot of bullshit, so Big Country: Yeah. I I feel like it's there's a lot of both though. I really do. And am I coming to the side of the players right now? Yes, yes I am. But I've seen I've PV: nine out of twelve. Big Country: seen a lot of people's lives changing the NFL world for the worse. You know, and I'd say it's probably it's probably fifty fifty, honestly. We've seen both. We also we also don't know what's been kept under wraps too. It's kind of PV: Yeah, we've definitely seen a lot of both. Yeah, exactly. Big Country: you know, what's been paid off and shit like that. PV: Like Ray Lewis probably killed that guy, you know. Big Country: R Alright. You know you know, it it's one thing when you kill someone. Like PV: Ha ha ha. Big Country: But Ray Lewis, you're telling me you wanna be you wanna be an interrogation here with Ray Lewis? PV: I just don't think I would be surprised if he did kill the guy. Big Country: No, yeah, I think you're right that I mean we're going off on a tangent here, but like, did OG kill him? PV: No. I'm just kidding, Big Country: Hey man, the glove didn't fit. PV: yeah. I'm just kidding. Nah yeah, definitely. That one for sure. Big Country: I'm sorry, that's like one of the greatest watches anyone can ever have. It's that whole trial. PV: No, yeah, that he definitely did. Big Country: But look at Sean Oakman, man. He was acquitted. Ruined his life. His PV: Yeah, Sean Oakman is a really sad story. Big Country: they fired his coach because of him. PV: Yeah. Yeah, Big Country: All untrue. PV: that one's a terrible one. So yeah, it definitely can can be both sides for sure. Big Country: Ruben Foster played for Alabama. Went on to the league, but he was drafted like three or four rounds. He was PV: Huh, he was he was good too, actually. Big Country: so good, dude. Nick Saban still swears to this day as he's like one of the best players he's ever had. Sup. Now, Jose Reyes, Ray Rice. PV: Mm-hmm. Big Country: That's on them. All right. So it looks like we got pick what Pat. What pick did we get? Like a fucking smooth. PV: What's our name? Big Country: Sure. PV: eleven. Okay. So we're getting back to back picks though. That's that's not the worst, but it's not the best. Actually, you know what? Big Country: Back to back, almost back to back. So PV: I don't I don't mind a late pick in this year's draft. I think there's a lot of talent in that first round. Big Country: I I really do think they are. I mean I mean if if you're looking around here, who are we really targeting? Are we and the one thing you gotta know about best ball too is there's three wide receivers. So running backs aren't as important as wide receivers too. So I mean, I say if C D Lamb falls in our hands, Amon Ross somehow, I think we we take a shot on those two guys. Or Omarion sitting right there. But we obviously wouldn't take him early. PV: Yeah, I think we take I think we take Omarion with the second pick that we have. I'm big on Omarion. so I think we take C D. And if C D's not there man, it's tough because like you said, we would like wide receivers. Big Country: I wouldn't wanna I I think like in that like area that's where it's tough to take another wide receiver other than C D. That's that's where you just go running back, running back, and then you attack wide receivers in three, four, five. PV: Yeah, I think if we can't I think if we can't Yeah. Yeah, I agree. I think if we can't get C D I think we take Gen T and then Omarion is what I think we should do. Big Country: Gente. Yeah. I think Genty could be very good this year. Especially coming from that Raider that like PV: Yeah, I think Gen C's gonna be good. Big Country: Seattle system. You know, the coach. PV: Yeah, I think, you know, they had they made a lot of upgrades along the O line too, a lot of upgrades in their offense in general, so he's not the only threat that people have to worry about anymore. You finally have a decent quarterback at the helm. we'll see what Fernando Mendoza can do in the NFL, obviously. there's no guarantee that a rookie is gonna be immediately successful, but I definitely still see Genti. Big Country: To honest with you, I don't think Nando's even gonna be starting, so PV: You don't think so? Big Country: well, I think you drabbed you brought in Kirk Cousins for a reason. PV: Yeah, yeah, I guess you do give Kirk a yeah, yeah, yeah, you're right. I actually totally forgot that they brought in Kirk. So yeah, either way then. Now you have a either a quarterback who needs the safety outlet because he's young, or you have a quarterback who naturally has always been taking his safety outlets. so I'm okay with either Kirk Cousin or Mendoza handing the ball off to Gen Z. Big Country: So like in instance, Puka won three, Jameer and Vijan went one two. PV: Too, yeah. Big Country: And we can kinda just watch it here too. PV: Yeah, that's better. Big Country: Until we come up too. I don't know. I I you what's PV: So probably Jamar here. Big Country: kinda I like thinking about this kind of just now. I think and this is not me hating on the Broncos whatsoever. I think the AFC US is that good where you could see a world where Denver might end up fourth in the division. I think there is a world. I really do. I think that that division can be that good. PV: No. No, not fourth. No, I d I could see us I could see us struggling this year. I do think we're gonna struggle more this year than we did last year. We won't be fourth. I think I think the Raiders will Big Country: That's what I'm saying. You're gonna be facing you're you're facing one seeds all year long. PV: take a big I think the Raiders will take a big step forward. The Raiders are not going to be beyond us though. Big Country: Okay. Jonathan Taylor goes five here. So Jason's already slotted down to six. I don't think Jason's ever gonna it to us personally, but you know, if he did, obviously. Ridiculous. PV: Yeah, if JSN somehow falls to us, but there's no way. I think he take he gets taken right here. Big Country: I'm not saying like Denver's like they'll be like, you know, two That's that's crazy. No, no, no. PV: a Monra before JSN. Wow. I mean I I get it. You know, he did get a no, you you get a new coordinator, you lose your offensive coordinator. It is a big difference in fantasy. It it does make a big difference. Big Country: Not that big. This dude was nat What the fuck? PV: Yeah, I don't know. A lot of people aren't liking JSN, man. Big Country: I love JSN. There he PV: There he goes. Big Country: goes. Okay, yeah. I will say JSN went eight. C PV: Gen T gets taken. C D may actually be available here. Big Country: D might be available first, yeah. But Genty goes for first. Flexion is PV: We might not even get Omorian. We'll see. Big Country: Justin Jefferson. PV: CDs available. Big Country: Okay. I think C D's a good pick here. PV: Yeah, I think we take C D. C D then O'Marian next. Big Country: I really yeah. I think I think that was a great I honestly love him at eleven. 'cause I truly see a world where he is better than Jefferson and Almanor. So there's now we're here PV: Yeah, I think it's certainly possible. I think he had a slight down year last year with George Pickens being an exciting new target, but I think there'll be a lot of attention on George Pickens this year. So I could see C D having a good year for sure. Now I think Omar Big Country: Okay. PV: and Hampton. I'm very high on. Big Country: You know PV: As much as I like Saquon, I still think I still think Omarion's gonna I think Omarion's gonna have a better year. Mike McD I'd I'd rather have Mike McDaniels that offensive coordinator, honestly, especially with how much the Eagles struggled last year. Give me Omarion Hampton. Big Country: Yeah. The only other guy I honestly thought about was that's the guy we kinda like hung on that in a couple of weeks ago, which was Chase Brown, but I think Chase Brown's a little I think that's a little too high for him personally. It might have helped PV: Yeah, yeah, I agree. Big Country: his draft stock, you know, that one that one episode. As you see him just get taken. PV: Yeah. Everyone was everyone's listening to the pod, they're all like, Yeah, these guys have a these guys are right. Ricky Rice going in the second round is kind of interesting to me. I mean I guess I could see why. Big Country: This guy's no ball. But next one, that's insane. I think that dude, there's a chance that dude's out the NFL in the next two years. PV: I don't know. I mean, if you really looked at his fantasy numbers when he played, Rasheed Rice was unbelievable Big Country: Yeah. PV: last year. Big Country: Yeah. I I'm not saying that's why he's gonna be out of the NFL. PV: Just one E blade. Big Country: I think I just think he's a complete idiot. PV: Yeah, yeah, I could see him ruining his own life somehow, one way or another. Big Country: Yeah. Yeah. Derek Derek Henry. Derek Henry in PV: Eric Henry, interesting. Big Country: the second round's always I feel like it's some it's always somehow a good value pick, you know? PV: I don't mind it. Yeah, 'cause Derrick Henry for whatever reason he'll always get the carries. He doesn't seem to be getting really slowing down that much. So you know, you still have Lamar Big Country: I know always the goal line carries. PV: back there. It's hard to it's hard to contain both Lamar and Derrick Henry in no matter what. Big Country: Yeah, I agree. PV: Kenneth Walker in Kansas City this year gets drafted in the second round. Big Country: I'm interested to see how Devon does this year, just considering he has like the offense is like it's nothing around him. PV: The offense is nowhere. They lost their head coach who was their offensive guru. So Big Country: But like at the same time, like I the I think what made what's his name so good at being an offensive crew was him not being the head coach. So I I feel like that's why you've been saying PV: Yeah. Big Country: Chargers all year might just be really good because seeing him in just an offensive coordinator role where he takes it takes all the pressure off could be really huge for okay. Those tight ends going in the second round is kind of interesting. PV: So I actually I do understand that. I think tight ends are gonna be big this year, especially for leagues like this best ball, because you never know if a tight end's just gonna get hurt for one and two, those tight ends that do score a lot of points make a major difference in these leagues when you're just trying to rack up the most points you can. Big Country: Yeah. PV: Jeremiah Love in the third round early. I guess Big Country: yeah, yeah. PV: I ca I guess that kinda makes sense though, you know. starting back super highly touted pick. gonna get the starting job immediately. We'll just see what that offense can do, you know. There's not there's not a Big Country: Yeah. PV: lot of firepower yet, but they're trying to build it. Big Country: Michael Floor system. PV: So yeah. Big Country: It could be interesting to see what they do. this is like one of the first years I actually agree with not taking Kyron Kyron Williams in any league. I think he's still gonna provide good solid fantasy value, but a third round pick is very PV: Yeah, I mean, you know, you the good thing about Kyrene is he always gets a lot of dumb buffs. He's a phenomenal blocker. so you can always have him out there for blocking. He's always gonna be able to just slip out, catch a coup catch a couple passes, get you the points that way. So I don't know, I think I've always been I've always been a fan of Kyrene Williams, but I do feel like his size is been is gonna be why I feel like his career doesn't end up lasting too much longer, you know. You can't take as many hits as he has. and last too too long. But I mean he hasn't slowed down yet, so until he does, I'm okay with taking him. Big Country: Yeah, a lot of wide receivers are coming off the board right now. PV: Yeah, we definitely are gonna need to at least snag one in one of these next two picks 'cause like you Big Country: Yeah. PV: said, it's a three wide receiver league. Big Country: Mm-hmm. PV: Might even have to snag two, 'cause yeah, we're gonna go a lot of picks. Big Country: I think we should I I think we should try and attack two other seamers here. Josh Allen. PV: I think one of the one of the most likely ones we're gonna be able to get here is Carnell Tate, probably. Let's see. Big Country: Count it's well he's a little why his away. I think PV: He's pretty low. Wow. That's kinda interesting. Ooh, I do like Tetm ooh, Luther Burden too. I think J Big Country: I like Te tech could I think we just saw what we what he can do. We're up PV: I think Tet first. I think Tet's gonna be the one I really Big Country: I I like Ted a lot. PV: like. Yeah. I'm big on Tet this year. And I really do think Luther Burden's gonna have an insane year as much as I want to take Jalen Waddle. Luther Burden had Big Country: I'm not high on Luther Burden personally. PV: Luther Burden had a really high open route rate last year on the routes that he did run. Man. Big Country: So PV: Actually, you know what? I don't mind taking Colston Loveland either. There's no other tight ends. I Colston Loveland was getting target after target last year. Big Country: I don't see the value there personally. I'm a big fan I'm a big fan of the Jaden Wallet here, so I'm gonna go Jaden Wall with that. I think he could be huge in this Bronco offense this year. you know, I think adding him to that offense is only gonna open up things. and I I I truly see a lot more value than taking on a potential for Luther. PV: I think there's I think it's more of a gamble with Jalen Waddle than it is with Luther, 'cause Luther at least knows the system already. He's play and he's played with Caleb Williams already. We've seen the success. Big Country: You saw it very late though. Very late. PV: No, they had success early. Like week one, Luther Burden catches like a sixty yard touchdown. Big Country: Okay, a touchdown. A catch. Who's gonna get more catches over the whole entire season, do you think? Jalen or him? PV: He caught plenty of deep he caught plenty of deep passes and he was Luther Burden Luther Burden had a lot of big plays last year and he only played like fifty percent of snaps. So if that goes up any percentage Big Country: You know, I don't see him coming off the board, so I don't think it was that bad of a pick. Seeing people not take him for a reason. Look at all these backs coming off beforehand. PV: I just have it's it's been a long time it's been a long time Big Country: I'm I might be a Bears hater, but PV: since I've seen a fast wide receiver be successful in Denver. Big Country: Change, well. You guys haven't had PV: Hope so. Big Country: a fast wide receiver in I don't know how long. Of his caliber? PV: We g we've we we've tried, we've tried not maybe not of his caliber, but we've tried picking up a lot of fast wide receivers. Marvin Mims, K J Hamler, a lot of these guys that were early picks for us and it never ended up working out. Big Country: He also those weren't Sean Payton's guys. He didn't draft them. I I feel like that's why like all those guys kind PV: Yeah, that's fair. That's fair. They weren't Sean Payton's guys. Big Country: of failed is because I don't think they fit in his system very PV: Yeah, I don't know. I think Big Country: I d and honestly I don't know why Marvin Mims didn't Okay. I think this is a clear stance right here of why he shouldn't have been picked at four two. If he comes to five eleven, I'm I have no problem taking him. T dude, Terry with what's his name? The first year was amazing. If he plays, yeah. PV: I'm really surprised I'm really surprised Terry McLaurin got picked, actually. I don't really see much out of Terry. With Jaden McDaniels when he yeah, it was amazing, but for one for one, that's that's if Jaden McDaniels is playing with him too. you know, that Big Country: DJ more circled man. PV: was two years ago already now. We went a whole year with without them being connected, so I don't know. I think it'll be there goes Luther. Big Country: I I don't think having Terry McLaurin yeah, I mean ten picks later, I think I think we did just fine. I think it was a PV: I don't know. Big Country: little bit of a reach. But they did. I think d DJ Moore could have a huge year. PV: Yeah, I think DJ Moore will have a big year, but I think I I I never trust any wide receivers Big Country: And I love I love our receivers though. PV: in the Buffalo Bills offense, regardless of their talent. Josh Allen just knows how to spread the ball. It's not the wide receiver's fault. Big Country: And this may be me hating a little bit, but Caleb What Williams was not that good last year. I'm not saying he can't be good. PV: Calebs was great. Big Country: He really wasn't though. Look at his stats, he wasn't that good. He was he was no Jordan Love. PV: He was really good. If you're just stat watching then then I don't wanna I don't wanna I don't wanna hear it if you're just stat watching. Big Country: Bro, this dude didn't make it to the game until the fourth quarter on most games, it felt like. PV: And he was winning How many times have you how how compare compare the Big Country: Hey, I wanna I wanna see a f complete game from players. PV: Hey, I wanna see the Bears versus the Packers games last year, so tell me about that. Big Country: He played like shit most of And I know those games. PV: He beat a he beat you guys, didn't he? Yeah, exactly. Big Country: But if you look at his stats bro, didn't I play Jordan Love once. Didn't even outplay PV: Don't matter. Big Country: Malik Willis. PV: Don't matter. Malik Willis was really good last year. You can't talk down on Malik Willis. He got a contract the the thirty mil for this year for a reason. Big Country: Yeah, either way, fuck for bears. PV: Ooh, actually Romadunze No, they just took Romadunze. wait, no they didn't. Okay. Then I think we take Rome. Gimme Rome. Big Country: I think Roma has as I I like Roma a little bit better than Luther personally. He's a chain mover, man. And PPR, I'll take that one. PV: I think I would take either one of them. I do like I do like the value here more because we got him much later. I'll give you that. But I do think Luther Burden's gonna have a bigger year. But I think we take Rome for sure. Cardell. Damn, do we take both of them here? Take Rome first. I think Rome because Big Country: I mean we have three wide receivers already. I think this is where we maybe, you know, go another route. PV: wait, TJ Warren. Wait, how late how low is TJ Warren? I think we take TJ Warren. TJ War because last year Daniel Jones Big Country: sixty one. I mean he's at sixty bat. PV: Daniel Jones snagged so many goal line touchdowns, bro. And now after that ankle injury, I TJ Warren getting those handoffs in the goal line. So now I think we either take Rome or Carnell. I'd be surprised if they if this guy doesn't take Rome though. Big Country: I think we need to take another running back, dog. Like we're getting down here. I'm not saying we reach PV: Yeah, maybe. I guess but there's so many there's just so many running backs in the league nowadays. Every team is running a two running back system. Big Country: I wouldn't mind Sheba Wait. I wouldn't mind Rico. Eight, these are starting backs. I like Carnell Tate. It's either PV: 'Cause I just don't know if I like Travian Henderson that much. Fuck, they did take Rome. That sucks. I do like Carnel Tate a lot though. I don't like Brian Thomas that much. I think either Carnel Tate or I don't know, I'm not big on Travion. I'm really not. Big Country: Like Carnel, I guess. For value the the value that we're at right now at least, you know? Do PV: Yeah. Yeah, exactly. Big Country: I think it was a little bit of a reach? PV: No, I don't know, it's a pretty late pick. Big Country: Yes and no. I mean if he's ranked sixty four and we got him. Sixty two. Not the worst. PV: Yeah, I think it's I think it's solid value. Big Country: Okay, yeah. PV: I would have been happier if we managed to get Rome there, but Big Country: Yeah, we've picked before. I think we could've. So it kinda sucks about the thirty seconds is you have like no time to think about these things. I guess we should probably look at the board instead of just watching the board to actually get drafted. PV: So we have our tight end, I think we definitely need to try to take two running backs now. 'Cause I think this is where they really start to thin out. But I still think there's potential. Big Country: I think going after a running back here. Yeah, and like I said, I really do I don't mind Sheba 'cause it's a starting role. Rico, I think he should be the starter in Pittsburgh. I'm not saying he is, 'cause you guys still have Jalen Warren or Mondri. PV: Remontre had some pretty good games last year. Big Country: I mean th there's only one starting back that or there I guess there's two starting backs left. And that's Chuba and Tony Pollard. Tony Pollard could be good. Yeah, new system, Dable. Could make it to us. But it is Tony Pollard, so. PV: Yeah, I think Big Country: yeah. PV: if Tony Pollard makes it to us, obviously take him. But I would be really happy with Chubba. Chubba was a phenomenal running back. for the last few there goes, Tony. Big Country: Yeah, there he goes. PV: Yeah. I would definitely be happy with Chuba here. and I think because Big Country: He was hurt all last year. I don't think people realize that. PV: of that, I think because of that, how what is the what is Bryce Young's rank? 'Cause we need a stack in these best ball leagues. There's no way. Is he already taken? Ugh. Big Country: No, he's just way down here. PV: wow, so we can get pretty solid value. So we can even get someone before him and have him as a stack in case he has one of Big Country: Yeah. PV: those big games with Tet McMillan or something like that. do we take a quarterback soon? We could Big Country: So I think we could maybe stack maybe bone next. PV: yeah, we could stack Bo Nicks and Waddle too. Yeah, actually, there's a couple solid stacks we can make here. Cam Ward and Carnell Tate. I don't mind. I think Cam Ward actually, I'm I I was big on Cam Ward this year. Yeah, Big Country: Camor might be a late late late one you could take. PV: I think that's a solid late take because like I've been mentioning all year, dude, Brian Deboula offensive coordinator, Cam Ward has that dog mentality. He wants to be really good. I actually don't mind Harold Fannon. I definitely want another tight end, but if we can get Tucker Kraut somehow, I think we definitely take Tucker. he just Big Country: He's just gotta take. PV: got taken. Right as I mentioned him. Big Country: We don't I don't I think Tucker Cup's gonna be available week one, but I it's undetermined. Herbie like you said count with a stack in this. PV: Yeah, actually you know what? I don't mind Herbie because because of Mike McDaniels. Big Country: Chila, we like I remember we talked about Chilaw. Start and the running ability. PV: Dart has a good running ability. I don't I don't know how I feel though. I think he needs more wide receivers. Big Country: Twenty twenty seven MVP Jordan Love. PV: Regardless, we definitely need a running back next. Chaba. Nice. I like Chaba. Big Country: Yeah. I really we just gotta get one Yes Come on PV: We like it. Big Country: That's big, that's really big. so we have Chaba. Now gets I I think we do. PV: Do we I think we take another running back still? I think I'm okay with our quarterback options later. Big Country: Yeah. I don't think 'cause RJ's not gonna be the no, it doesn't matter. I I I mean PV: So we do we take Rico here then if he's available? Big Country: I I really like Rico. PV: If Rico's not available I think we maybe take a different route than running back 'cause I don't like the other options. Big Country: I I hate Gainwell. I hate Jonathan Brooks. I don't like Monungai. I don't know Monungai might not want to be the worst. But like at but r right now, no. Obviously not. PV: I don't mind I don't mind Monungai. I think that's solid. Yeah, I think it's too early to taggree, yeah. Big Country: is J. K. Dolvin still the starter? PV: Yeah, kinda. It's between okay, well there's Rico, I think I say we take Rico. but it's between Big Country: Yeah, but it's kind of a reach, man. I mean not reach reach, but you know what I mean? I mean PV: But we're not gonna get a better we're not gonna get a g another good running back if we don't take him. Yeah. Big Country: We're not gonna get it run running back then go. You're right. I like that. Okay. 'Cause now we're at this point we're drafting for bench and quarterbacks. Yeah. PV: Now we just need quarterbacks and then bench. Yeah. I think we take two QBs honestly next. because we want to have two good quarterbacks Big Country: Goes stack it up. PV: to have. yeah, the two stacks that we can get, I think, are either gonna be I mean we have plenty of options late. We're gonna have Bonex, Cam Ward, and Bryce Young. I think if we can get Bonex and Cam Big Country: I mean, we're gonna be at one seven. PV: Ward, I'm happy. Yeah, I think if we can get Bonex Big Country: Take it out one mess. PV: and Cam Ward, we I'm happy with both. Big Country: Yeah. And then we get racial. PV: We might even be able to wait for Camp Ward. So I we take Bonix now. Big Country: Yeah, we could we don't have to take Camward in the next two picks. We could we take bone eggs. and then we could try to take another we could probably like maybe go from a nung guy. I think yeah, but like it's all it takes is one of these guys to tear an ACL. And we have starting back. PV: Yeah. Yeah, take Bonex and then check flex. I don't like the running backs. I don't mind Pittman. Pittman's a solid one. Well then I would well then I would probably take Jonathan Brooks because he's our back he would back up if we lost Chichubba Hubbard. Big Country: Yeah. There goes gain well. PV: Harold Fannin's still Big Country: D PV: in there too. Big Country: Yeah. I I'd say we go down next and hair the fan if we can. PV: Yeah, I would like yeah, I I agree. Let's do Bonig's Herald fanning. Big Country: go PV: Yeah. Big Country: do you think Michael Pittman's gonna have a good year with Rogers? PV: I actually do like Michael Pittman. I think Rogers likes his big wide receivers that are very possession catch dominant. That's how Mike Devontae Adams was, you know, especially kind of towards when when it the red zone, that was what he specialized in throwing him was those short possession routes. So I do think that him and Pittman will be a good pairing together for sure. Which is why if he's available, I also wouldn't mind taking Pittman. I do think Pittman's gonna be solid. Big Country: It was just Yeah, I mean at that value is kinda crazy. PV: Yeah, if if he's available at one seven, I say take him. There he goes. Big Country: There it is. Yes, I'm saying these things then. W I mean it's I don't wanna say Menang's gonna be there, but really don't mind Stanley. I wouldn't PV: I just don't think that DeAndre Swift is that good to honestly even say he's gonna for sure hold the starting job all year, you know? Like Manungai had a lot of big games last year. He really did. Big Country: Yeah, that's I'm saying. I don't think Beyondre Sov is the bell cow either. You know, I think this is the guy that's gonna be in between the tackles, getting the red zone touches potentially too. PV: Yeah, I don't hate one guy, but it does still feel a little early. Big Country: it does, yeah. PV: there he goes. We don't get a decide. Big Country: Gotta stop saying shit man, I swear to God McCarranas, man. I I like our picks of Fannin and Bell. PV: Fan in the bow. Yeah. Big Country: I think those are perfect Choices. I mean we're obviously just looking at flex right now. So we have quarterbacks. Jonathan Brooks, there he goes. We can't take him. One thing I'm worried about these next like six picks is PV: All right, well Yeah. Big Country: for one, auto drafts. so PV: Yeah, if they auto draft they're gonna they're take Fannon. Big Country: Yeah. K. Jordan Mason. PV: Twart and Mason, interesting. I'm not big on him. Big Country: Some yeah. Fuck. PV: Fuck. Okay. So Bose one Big Country: Spot yeah. PV: If I can trust Kittle. Ooh, I kinda like Marcus Golden. Big Country: Too. Kittle at this value is not a bad choice whatsoever. It's just he doesn't provide weekly, like good averages. PV: I'm scared of him getting injured. Big Country: But his boom is amazing, though. That's PV: Yeah, Spoon is really good. Big Country: kind of what we need him for. You know, we have Tyler Warren to set the table for us, but this guy could come in and just provide good value all year long, and when he drops like those 30-point games, because he can't do that. No, it doesn't matter. PV: Fuck. Wait, go back. What was Matthew Golden's ranking? He's gonna be in flex here in tight ends. Big Country: sixteen. PV: one hundred sixteen. I usually don't hate Matthew Golden. Or one bill. Big Country: I I get I mean I get why everyone's super high on him. Got a lot of mouse defeat on that offense, man. And one thing I've learned in Matt LaFleur's offense, without Rogers and Adams, everyone gets the ball. So I say we go bone exhale, because I think we're the that's the only guy that we're really PV: Yeah, Bonex for sure here, yeah. Big Country: solid on. JK might not be the worst option. PV: Yeah, JK's not a bad option. I don't know how much of the year he'll be starting, but he'll have a few starts. Yeah. Big Country: He's gonna start the year. Yeah, he's gonna start the year starting. And that's that's I think that's the important thing is you know, we're gonna we might get like he'll get us through maybe th the first couple of weeks if we need him. yeah, I I don't mind him here. If we can get him, of course. PV: Plus he was great before he did get injured. Big Country: Exactly. Like why why would anyone take Rashad wide over? PV: Yeah. Big Country: I I like JK here. Two Broncos, but who cares? We got we got our stack, one of our stacks. PV: Yeah, we have a good stack actually. Big Country: Okay, who is taking Kyler Murray? PV: I think Kyler Murray could have a solid year. He has one of the best wide receivers in the NFL. Big Country: Wandale I was like if we didn't have Carnell I PV: I like one, do you? Big Country: was saying Joe Wandale, please, please, you know. PV: Yeah. Yeah, if we didn't already have Carnell, I would have liked one though. Big Country: Alright, is there any other like tight ends that we wanna like get? PV: Pink. Big Country: You who I wanna kindra attack late if we can? This motherfucker. PV: Sadiq Kenyon Kenyon Sadiq has a really good value. So does Gunnarhelm. Kenyon Sadiq and Gunnarhelm star those two. Big Country: Yeah, but who's thrown him the ball, man? We saw this last year with Brock Bowers. PV: Yeah, and Brock Bowers still had some big games. Brock Bowers still had some big games. I don't know, he was he was relatively consistent. But but do star Gunnarhelm. Big Country: Buns. He had one big game, bro. One big game. He's gonna be great this year. I think Isaiah likely could have a really good year. PV: I am I am big on Gunnarhelm. Go star Gunnarhelm. Gunnerhelm. He was a rookie tight end Big Country: LC. PV: for the Tennessee last year. Big Country: You don't think of Cockwell? he's in Washington. PV: Yeah, I actually don't mind Oconko and Washington. I don't think that Jaden Daniels has too many targets to throw to, so that could be a solid one. Cause he just has Terry and then after that he falls down to Luke McCaffrey. Big Country: Yeah, how many wide receivers? We've taken bat we've taken two more running backs. I think you can take maybe right now and get one more, but let's get let's say we attack wide receiver on this, because we only have four right now. PV: Ooh, KC conception. Big Country: I love Casey, man. I think you got a really good year for Cleveland. PV: I'm surprised Diggs is still who is the wider wait, who's the quarterback for New York right now? I was trying to think of it. I can't figure it out. Big Country: The jets? Yes. Why PV: Is it Geno Smith still? Ugh, that's disgusting. Big Country: do you think PV: Yeah, no, yeah, you're right. Maybe I don't want any Jets players this year. Damn, really? They still settled for him? That's so gross. Big Country: I don't think Romeo really is gonna be that good. Yeah. I mean there wasn't much to really get, to be honest with you. PV: Nah bro, it's gonna be Cade Klubnik. Big Country: That'd be sick. PV: Yeah. Big Country: 'cause really I I mean who you're trying to get guys that are gonna like have those big ass games. Yes, those boom games. PV: Boom. Yeah, you want boom players. So I do like KC conception for sure. He's a big boom potential. Jaden Higgins. Big Country: I don't like Romeo, I don't like Shakir in that. Shichi he could be that guy. PV: Jaden Higgins is not bad. He was a rookie last year, had some pretty solid games. he's gonna be moving up this year. Travis Hunter's a little scary because he plays both sides. You don't know how much he's gonna play wide receiver. Antonio Williams could be okay. Antonio Williams, Big Country: Hur I would love to attack this guy late. Stribling, come all miss, people. PV: You know, he Antonio Williams is one of the only wide receivers that you might actually get the ball because like I mentioned, no one in fucking Washington other than Terry, bro. Big Country: I think those D Bone watch we can install. PV: Did they get do they have D I don't think they still have Let's see. Maybe they do. Big Country: Yeah. I believe they do. It says it right here. PV: Yeah, they do still have D.Va. No wait. Big Country: Jerry Booney? PV: No, when I look it up it says that he's not on the roster. It's they got Traylon Burks though. I did forget about that. That was a solid signing. Big Country: Traylon Burgs was on there last year too. PV: Yeah, he got them last year and he actually had a couple of good games for them in those few games that he played. Big Country: He had that one handed catch against you guys. PV: Yeah. Big Country: Mm-hmm. PV: But still it's a lot of inconsistencies. I don't know. I don't know if I would take Antony Williams actually. Too much potential. Conceptions for sh definitely for sure my first pick. Big Country: I think I think we go with Concepcion. 'Cause just like rookie I mean first round running quarter wide receiver. really high on Rashid Chi gave for some He's really gonna be that wide receiver too that's gonna need to take pressure off of JSN and Cooper. PV: spider receiver. Big Country: Plus the run game is probably not gonna be that great. Start now. Take a second side out. PV: Yeah, we got or no we didn't, no. Big Country: I really like I really like David and Joku if we can get him late. PV: I would rather get Gunnerhelm though. I think Gunnerhelm is gonna be big this year. Big Country: I I mean we were talking about the Chargers man all year. PV: Yeah. Yeah, I guess actually. Big Country: We got conception on. PV: And what's his face? Justin Herbert does like his tight ends too. Big Country: loves his big boys. He could be a perfect red zone guy. PV: Yeah, Gadsden had a pretty good year. But Gadson Gadsden's gonna be in there eating a lot of targets, but I still think Njoku's better. Big Country: We're up here next. What pick is this? PV: I don't know, I would move I would probably move a conquest up there. Big Country: We're gonna be at like one thirty four. So we're like a little early for a lot of these guys. PV: I think who was in there? yeah, Okonko was he just got Big Country: You say no conquell? Or we could just get Gadsden. PV: he just got taken. Okonko just got taken. That's terrible. Big Country: Mm, Godson's right there. We gotta make a decision. Tell me now. PV: Tik Shaheed. Like you said, big big p big point potential. Big Country: Yeah, yeah, you can't be. At least for wide receivers. I think we're good on wide receivers now. We PV: So how many yeah, so how many wide receivers do we have now? Big Country: have six. PV: Six. Yeah, I think we're definitely good. Big Country: Now we can start attacking that. Second QB, backup tight end, maybe another backup QB. Because we have what? PV: Yeah, definitely we'll need to get a backup QV next because Cam Ward may not be reachable now. We may Big Country: We have eight eight positions left in there. PV: have missed that on Cam Ward, we'll see. If we did, I'm still okay with Bryce Young. But I would be really happy if we could get Cam Warren. Cam with our first pick and then Big Country: Ideally you want like three quarterbacks, five running backs, nine wide receivers, and then three tight ends. So I've been what the strategy is, apparently. So we're pretty close. I think we're lacking on quarterbacks in Thailand so so I think we should attack those now. PV: I do think that there's a lot of later tight ends that we like already though, so I think we're okay with that. But quarterbacks is where I think we Big Country: Yes. Tem K more was one thirty nine. PV: may need to address next for sure. Big Country: I guess Cam Ward was like right there for us. PV: Yeah, that's yeah, that's what I was saying. He might he may not be available here. But yeah, it was a little early to take him there, but I think maybe we could have but I don't know. We'll see. Big Country: Yeah, let's see if he gets to us. Good thing with quarterbacks, like everyone's taking one by now. It's just or multiple this guy. PV: Yeah. Yeah, some of these guys have taken plenty. Big Country: Two, two, one. PV: Yeah, everyone between us except for one guy is taken two. Big Country: Yeah, so it's just this guy. PV: wait, there's Yeah. Big Country: Yeah. Yeah. I guess I don't know if PV: wait, no, there's one other guy. Yeah. Big Country: there's there's there's another gateway behind us as well. PV: Yeah, but he'll pick after us, so Big Country: No. But I wanna talk about this guy, Deshaun Stripling. I've only heard good things about this dude. Came came from dude's PV: Show me the height. Show me the height. Show me the speed. Big Country: fast as shit. PV: How tall is he though? Big Country: Tall as he's gonna run for days. He's on a Shanahan offense. PV: He is six foot two, I'm okay with that. Big Country: He's got I think you'll h get that big play potential. PV: Strong hands, yards after catch player. Yards after catch player for Brock Purdy is also great. He's already Big Country: Puts it in the stride. PV: twenty three years old, so he's not young and inexperienced. Big Country: Yeah, I mean to be really good. PV: Yeah, I I actually like that pick. I like stribbling. Come on, Cam. Big Country: Come to daddy. Up in what seven picks. That's a lot. But the good news is there's a lot of quarterbacks here. I mean, if we don't get him, we PV: Yeah. Big Country: don't get him. You know, we still have Bryce, Mason and you know, Aaron Rodgers even if we really need it. He's not gonna give you a boom game whatsoever. Yeah, that is mine. You bitch. You guys the guy that we were worried about. Yeah, it's PV: Yeah. Big Country: exactly what we were worried about. Yeah. PV: Okay, so we take Bryce for sure. Yeah. Big Country: I think we gotta take Bryce here, just cause no matter what, he'll he'll be there for one. What would you think about Malik Washington? PV: I don't know, I don't like Miami. Big Country: I mean he's the only one there. Someone's gotta catch a ball, right? PV: my god, that guy just took Sam Darnold thing fuck. Yes, please. Okay. Big Country: Good price. Take big daddy price. One fifty eight now. PV: And I think honestly we might have to take an our next quarterback now. 'Cause it's not gonna be Big Country: But who's that gonna be? PV: available again. I don't know, maybe Mendoza's still available later. Should Big Country: Hey, like again, we're trying to for gr for booms, right? He could be a boom. Dude, do you remember that 30 point game against buddy? Is it show up? 37.5. That's a boom! Bro, he had it's a bro bro bro bro bro, PV: I don't see Shadurb no. No. Show me show me his fantasy games. Show me his fantasy games last year. Dude, yeah, look that's one game out of all those shit games. Big Country: but we're looking for booms. We don't have to take him now PV: No, I'm not doing that. Let's do Big Country: either. I don't think taking Jacoby. Okay, Jacoby. PV: I don't like Jacoby Brissett either. I'm we're not taking Jacoby Brissett. Big Country: Okay. Do you really want to take old man? PV: We're not taking Aaron Rodgers either. Let's not t the fuck the quarterbacks. Big Country: I think we'll leak. I really know. PV: I think Sadiq. I think Sadiq, I was I was on him earlier, he's still there. Yeah, we need another tight end. Yeah, exactly. Big Country: Fuck it. It's not gonna matter much round fourteen, let's be honest here. It's just not. PV: Plus he he he could be a boom player, you know. He was a he was a early pick for the Jets. you never know. Maybe Gino has some random fucking year like he did his first year in the Seahawks. Yeah, probably not, but you never know. Big Country: I doubt it. After I was the guy that like was like saying he's not that bad, guys. He just I I was that guy last year. As much as I'd like I mean he's fucking horrible, yes. But like PV: I remember that. I remember that. And I was telling you he was fucking horrible and then he went and threw four picks the next game. Big Country: How was he so successful in Seattle? PV: Good system. Big Country: Well he fell off. I mean PV: They figured him out. Big Country: can't take a t teach dog new tricks. Clearly his tricks weren't Zachariah Branch. Mm. I thought he could have been a really good pick for Atlanta. You know, 'cause he would be like the two. He could be those that that boom game, you know. PV: Yeah. Big Country: Hawkinsocks. PV: So what QVs are gonna be available here? Big Country: Rogers. Daddy, hey. The thing with Rogers, you're PV: Don't I don't want Rogers or Kobe Brissett. No that Big Country: never gonna get a boom game out of him. Last year twenty it was his first game really sh threw four turns. I remember I was hyped as shit for this game too. There's nothing like Rogers fucking spinning it, man. PV: Yeah, no, not Rogi's. But Jacoby Brissett's numbers didn't look that bad. Big Country: No new system though. PV: Could be a good thing. Big Country: That's why like I I think if we're going for a boom guy, I really don't understand why we don't go for a guy like Storm. It's his second year of the league. Are we really taking Jacoby? Well, it PV: 'Cause he's not gonna boom, bro. I had him on my team last year. That's how I know how bad he was. Big Country: was okay. The thing is, like we need him to outperform two guys. In baseball. We're not looking for him to be the starter. I think this is a guy we we say to you, hell yeah. Man, fuck Mendoza's gone by the way. PV: That's why I think I would rather take Mendoza or Jacoby Brissett. I mean Jacoby Brissett had a bunch of twenty point games. there goes Jacoby Brissett. Mendoza's gone, you're right. Big Country: Yeah, Trey Harris, that's also another guy like PV: Okay, so what what what other than QBs is available? Big Country: there okay, there goes Antonio Williams. I think this is where we go PV: Fuck the QBs. Big Country: again our tight end two. PV: Gunner Helm then, because Gunnarhelm's better value here. Big Country: Gunnerhelm or in Joky, yes. PV: Njoku will still be there, so take Gunner Helm. Big Country: docie. PV: Actually that's not horrible. That's a not bad. A lot of people are big on Dolkits this year though. And I don't know why. I'm more I'm bigger on Gunner Hell myself. Big Country: I don't understand it. I'm bigger on Pat Fryer most. PV: I don't think I'm big no, I'm not bigger on Pat Firemouth than Dolcitch. Big Country: Pa hey, Rogi loves his tight ends. PV: Yeah, clearly, bro. Big Country: okay dynasty guy is this about PV: well we we didn't even have the option to take what's his face anyways. Dolkich, he got picked right before. Big Country: did he? PV: Yeah. Big Country: yeah. No, Rogers! Yeah. PV: I'm kinda surprised Jerry Judy's falling so low. He wasn't that bad last year. He just hates Shadur. Big Country: Happens when you hate people though. PV: Yeah. I think if Stribling's available we take Stribling, yeah. Even 'cause yeah. Big Country: what happens. I think I think striping could be so good too. PV: I like it, yeah. No. Big Country: I'm just saying Calvin Ridley this load is kind of crazy. PV: Yeah, it's not terrible actually. Big Country: This is where we should PV: Okay, go get Striplin though. Big Country: Dude, Marshawn Lloyd, if he stays healthy, could be a starting back. PV: Really? You really think he's gonna take the job from Josh Jacobs? Big Country: But I could see Josh David getting hurt. PV: Yeah. Big Country: I don't like to think if we take Tyreek on the off chance. It's ugly. PV: Mm-hmm. Big Country: So we have we need to get the third time the yeah, I think this is the time where it's Gino or s or Shador and I'm taking I'm taking upside here, right? We have to. PV: And who's the upside? Big Country: Shador's obviously the upside, Pat. Obviously. He's young, he doesn't throw hella fucking picks. PV: He also has like three other quarterbacks competing for the job with him. So he plays one bad game, he's done. Big Country: Dud, he's getting the job. PV: He plays one bad game, he's getting benched. They hate him there. Big Country: That's not true, bro. PV: Bro, Cleveland hates him. Big Country: No they don't. Everyone in Cleveland should should PV: Yes they do. We saw it last year. Big Country: love him. PV: They should, but they don't. The front office is a bunch of dicks. Big Country: No, it was the coach, bro. The coach didn't want him. The front office wanted him. That was the thing. PV: What about Kirko chains, bro? Big Country: fuck. I don't need a guy for three weeks, you know? That's see like none of these guys have pr produced a better game than Shador. PV: Yeah, none of these guys are okay. He had Big Country: None of these guys had a thirty seven point game. PV: more he had more twenty point games though. Big Country: Yeah, I don't care. I want someone that could be the guy. I don't think those guys are f are capable of a thirty seven, like Shore is. PV: Was he capable of it or did he get lucky? Big Country: Shit, he had three tuts and one and one rushing bell? Come on. In a loss. PV: And he still threw a pick. Big Country: Hell yeah, he did. Yeah. Everything th I'm like that's a little dark, dude. Wow. PV: Yeah fuck it, let's get shooter. But what other flexes are available though? Calvin Ridley's okay. I don't mind him, but he's coming off a broken leg. Njokwe. So is Njoku Big Country: See what but can come in. PV: listed as one or two right now? Big Country: Probably two. PV: Let's see. Los Angeles depth chart. Starting tight end for Ronde Gadsden. Big Country: You know who I want to take a chance on late if we're going to die down honestly is Eli Stowers. Athletic freak. PV: Who the fuck is that? Big Country: Athletic freak. Got drafted in I believe the second round. He's gonna be the heir PV: Is he from Georgia? Big Country: to Goddard. He's gonna be a stud, dude. I was mad the Green Bay didn't. PV: Is he from Georgia? Big Country: no Vanderbilt. PV: Okay, then no I haven't heard of him. I don't know why I thought he was from Georgia. Big Country: Dude, he's a stud. PV: 'cause he just sounds like Brock Bowers. It's like why did why did I think he was from Georgia? Big Country: yeah. Look at I think it was him and Sadiq they had like these crazy combines. we're up. Come on home, Daddy. shit. Two three Shador here. Or Marshall Mullet. Is that it? I mean it's not gonna bad. We're good. I think we solidify QB three. In two picks? PV: Will Njoku still be there? I don't know, I do like Njoku. But like you but yeah, we did check Ronda Gazdin is starting already. Who knows how long it'll last, but Big Country: I wouldn't mind going after who how many running backs do we have? We need one more running back PV: Or Big Country: and two more receivers. PV: Yeah. Big Country: We don't need any more tight ends. PV: But hold on, look at all the running backs. Is there any Big Country: Titans. PV: more potential than just this guy who's probably not gonna end up having that many snaps? Big Country: This guy? Not really. James Connor? James Connor's dead. Nick Singleton, he's a rookie. PV: James Connor? Yeah, he's gonna lose his snaps so fast though. He's gonna he's gonna start the year. He's gonna start the year, but he's not gonna Big Country: Tyre Kelly's gotta take it. PV: Wait, who got taken? Tyre Kill. Yeah, take Marshawn Lloyd. If if and you Big Country: I think you I think you take Marshall Lloyd, honestly. I think he has a lot of upside if you if if PV: never know, maybe Josh Jacobs does s get suspended somehow. It's still not settled. Yeah. Big Country: D exactly, yeah. We just drafted a a starting running back and a great offense. Well, great. PV: Yeah. Big Country: I now I think PV: shit, wait, what are the bye weeks for our quarterbacks? Eleven, ten, and five. Okay, we're fine. We're fine. Big Country: Ten, five, and eleven. PV: Yeah, we were okay. Big Country: I don't think yeah, we don't need these two yeah, we just need two wide receivers now, apparently. PV: Yeah. Big Country: do we take any upside on Keon Coleman anymore? PV: Pat Bryant. Pat Bryant's gonna be good this year. You saw him. You saw him before he got that concussion in that playoff game. Big Country: I saw my man getting he just got drafted. PV: Fuck! No! They knew it, dude. Damn it. That one actually that Big Country: Stop saying things. PV: one would have been a really good pick because I know he's gonna be good this year, bro. He was cooking in that playoff game before he got injured. I don't mind Elijah Surat. Wait, do they have Jalen? Or not Jalen Noah. Who's the other wide receiver for Baltimore that it was a rookie this year? There's two of Jalen Lane. Big Country: Talk about it PV: Is Jalen Lane still available? I doubt it. I d I don't think Surratt would be ranked above him. He's he's ranked above him. Yeah. Jacoby, not Jalen. Big Country: He's also you're talking about the other Jalen Lane. you mean Jacoby Lane? PV: It's Jacoby, yeah, not Jalen lane. So he is ranked below Sarat. No, but that's why. That's Big Country: We're looking for the booms here, man. Trey Franklin could be a boom, just saying. PV: why I liked Pat Brant. I don't know if Troy Franklin could be a boom. well, it doesn't matter. Big Country: Doesn't fucking matter. Doesn't fucking matter. Doesn't fucking matter. PV: What about Malachi Fields? Big Country: That that's such such a loaded offense. PV: Yeah, but that's a it's an offense that keeps getting injured. And who kn who do they really have after Malik neighbors? Big Country: Dude Odell Beckham. PV: No. Honestly, I do like I do like Malachi Fields here. He's from Isn't Big Country: Toria Horton, maybe? PV: he from Ohio State? No, he's not from Ohio State, he's Notre Dame. I mean I don't know why I thought he was Ohio State. Big Country: Notre Dame! PV: Mm-hmm. Big Country: Darnell Mooney is also there. PV: So who do the giants have? Big Country: Darnell Mooney. Braxton Barrios. PV: Turnal Mooney's okay, he's not great. Darius Slayton. Dude, honestly, dude myokai fields is he has a chance to be starting in there, dude. Big Country: cut feels just got taken. Literally. Literally a second after you said that. PV: God damn it. That's so fucking stupid. Okay, then give me Elijah Surat, dude. I like I like Surat this year. He's a big guy. And that and the Baltimore the Ravens don't have fucking wide receivers either. There's a lot of teams that don't have wide receivers. Big Country: To Wesper Techine? Okay. they signed Juju too. PV: Yeah, dude, literally they're only two starters at the moment, are Zay Flowers and Rashad Bateman. No one else is considered a starter. Big Country: Who's also right here? PV: I don't I I would rather take a young guy though. Give me Surat. And Surat's big too. He's like, well he's not that big, but he's six foot two, I think. Let's see. Big Country: Vontez Walker just got taken. I just saw someone that I liked. Did you just get taken? PV: Surat six foot two What did he run for his forty? Four five three forty, that's not great. Big Country: Sorry, Horton did get taken. I was thinking Xavier Leggett. PV: Jacoby Lane, four forty seven with a forty inch vertical. He's six foot four. Ooh, maybe we why is Jacoby Lane ranked so low? Big Country: He's probably like six on the depth chart. PV: Well no, he was drafted before Surrat was. Six foot four out of USC. Honestly, I like Surat. He's fast or not Surat, sorry, Jacoby Lane. He's faster, he's younger. Or the Trojans. Yeah, the Trojans, USC. He was a Big Country: So what do you want? PV: third he was a third round pick. Jacoby Lane, yeah. I think he's ranked really low for no reason. Big Country: Lane. Baltimore right. PV: Baltimore, yeah. Big Country: So we're taking two Baltimore receivers. PV: did we already take Surat? Ooh. Big Country: Yeah. Yeah. PV: No, no, I don't think so. I didn't know we already took Surat. Shit, Big Country: I'm just gonna take a guy. PV: Okay, now you're scrolling too low. Big Country: Well. PV: Lane, Lane, Lane! fuck. Big Country: Tober, fuck it. PV: Jalen Tolburn. I would have rather had Jacoby Lane at that point. Big Country: I wanted Legat. Fuck! PV: there, that would have been solid. Big Country: well well that concludes the draft. PV: he plays for Miami now, I didn't know that. That's not bad. Big Country: Yeah, it could be good, you never know. all right, yeah, so I I honestly don't mind this team. I the only area I really kinda PV: Where is he listed? He's gonna he's gonna be a starter. Yeah, he is a starter. Big Country: didn't like was Tyler Warren. Be honest. I thought we drafted him a little early. PV: No, I I like Tyler One, I'm telling you, this is gonna be huge. Nah, dude, he's gonna be really good. This just look at the just look at the games he had last year. He had several games over ten catches. Big Country: I would have hundred percent taken Quid Chun Jugkins over him. We're not gonna get a boom game out of this guy ever, bro. PV: No, I don't think so. I think we needed a good tight end one. Yes, we are. Look at the look at his games last year. Are you kidding me? Big Country: At the start. And that's it. PV: Yeah, yeah, and then and then Daniel Jones started sneaking it in. I'm telling you, after that ankle injury, he's gonna take over at the goal Big Country: No, Daniel Jones got hurt. PV: line. He's g Tyler Warren's gonna take over at the goal line, trust. Big Country: I don't know. We'll see. PV: I'm big on him this year for sure. Especially with it being year two for him. Big Country: I don't I I don't mind it. I just thought it was a little early is all I'm saying. So but that wraps up episode eleven of the Altitude Problems Podcast. Thank you for listening and find us on our socials. Have a good week.
