Suspect Escapes Michigan, Ends Up in Indiana | Lansing News
A Michigan man, Zakery Ripley, allegedly broke into an elderly man’s home, assaulted him, and stole his Jeep—then fled to Indiana. Police in Nappanee caught up to him during a high-speed chase, where he crashed through barriers and ran on foot before being tracked down by a K-9 unit. Now facing six felony charges in Michigan—including attempted murder and home invasion—and additional charges in Indiana for reckless driving and fleeing, Ripley is jailed in Indiana while authorities decide whether he’ll be extradited back to Michigan.
