- 2:54Speaker 3: Hope all your viewers are they pay attention beware of
- 2:57Speaker 3: Bonny Contraras, because where she'll be next?
- 3:03Speaker 2: What sort of person are we dealing with here.
- 3:06Speaker 16: A liar, a con, a phony who is used to
- 3:10Speaker 16: doing this type of thing to earn money.
- 3:13Speaker 9: Your typical, you know, gold digger.
- 3:17Speaker 1: Cantrera's is the target of all that month's later, and
- 3:20Speaker 1: she's tired of it.

- 3:26Speaker 5: People have actually said to you, Oh, you deserve to die.
- 3:30Speaker 17: Oh yeah.
- 3:31Speaker 13: The other day, I had a nervous breakdown, believe it
- 3:33Speaker 13: or not. As strong as I am, as strong as
- 3:36Speaker 13: I want to be, as strong as I portrayed to be.
- 3:40Speaker 7: I was sitting right.
- 3:41Speaker 13: There and taking out my false stuff and started screaming
- 3:48Speaker 13: at the top of my head.
- 3:51Speaker 1: Bonnie's been labeled the architect of a toxic love triangle
- 3:54Speaker 1: that comes to a head here off the edge of
- 3:57Speaker 1: Loop sixteen oh four in San Antonio. It's where the
- 4:02Speaker 1: lives of Bonnie, her lover Bill Hall Jr. And his
- 4:05Speaker 1: longtime wife Francis all collide and only two will walk
- 4:09Speaker 1: away alive.
- 4:10Speaker 18: Bear County nine one one.
- 4:12Speaker 6: What is your location?
- 4:17Speaker 2: What does this place mean to you?
- 4:19Speaker 9: Now?
- 4:20Speaker 7: It's hell?
- 4:22Speaker 13: This road is hell. It is my life got taken away,
- 4:27Speaker 13: my happiness got taken away on this road, my future,
- 4:33Speaker 13: my future kids I wanted to have with him, you
- 4:36Speaker 13: know it just it all got taken away.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Another woman would lose everything too, including her freedom. Francis Hall,
- 4:46Speaker 1: I will.
- 4:46Speaker 19: Love him till today I die.
- 4:52Speaker 1: At the center of the two women's affection. Bill Hall Jr.
- 4:55Speaker 1: The owner of one of San Antonio's most successful trucking companies.
- 4:59Speaker 2: He bought his food truck in the early eighties and
- 5:01Speaker 2: it would grow into this Bill Hole Junior Trucking, a
- 5:04Speaker 2: transport business that at its pake would be worth more
- 5:07Speaker 2: than fifteen million dollars.
- 5:10Speaker 1: Along with his trucking empire, Bill Hall Junior had built
- 5:13Speaker 1: a family. He and Francis had been married for more
- 5:16Speaker 1: than thirty years and had two children together.
- 5:18Speaker 16: Dad was the type of person that loved us so much.
- 5:24Speaker 16: He wanted to give us everything he worked so hard for.
- 5:27Speaker 16: Always just very expressive of his love towards his kids
- 5:31Speaker 16: and his family.
- 5:34Speaker 9: He was a very, very generous, very happy man. He
- 5:40Speaker 9: loved his family, He loved motorcycles, he loved cars. He
- 5:45Speaker 9: also loved young women.
- 5:48Speaker 5: He had a bit of a reputation for being unfaithful.
- 5:50Speaker 9: Some people say, you know you want to have your
- 5:53Speaker 9: cake and eat it too.
- 5:55Speaker 1: And Bill Hall Junior has quite the appetite, but just
- 5:59Speaker 1: couldn't seem to get him, is phil of Bonnie.
- 6:02Speaker 13: I was literally holding chicken on a stick and saying
- 6:08Speaker 13: chicken on a stick, chicken on a stick.
- 6:10Speaker 5: And was it love at first sot or does that
- 6:14Speaker 5: exist for you? Was there a part of that.
- 6:16Speaker 17: When I locked eyes with him?
- 6:17Speaker 13: It's kind of like we were trying to read each
- 6:20Speaker 13: other's thoughts. You know.
- 6:23Speaker 5: Others have claimed that, in fact, you didn't made it
- 6:25Speaker 5: a spinach festival, that you met perhaps at a strip club.
- 6:31Speaker 5: Is there any truth to that.
- 6:32Speaker 7: There's no truth to that.
- 6:35Speaker 13: I did work there, that was three years before maybe
- 6:38Speaker 13: meeting Bill. We never went into those places together.
- 6:44Speaker 1: Over the next three years, Bonnie says she and Bill
- 6:46Speaker 1: became inseparable. They even put out Christmas cards together, the
- 6:51Speaker 1: married man lavishing his mistress with five star getaways and
- 6:54Speaker 1: expensive gifts, which included buying her an immaculately dressed dog
- 6:58Speaker 1: named Maples.
- 7:00Speaker 3: She gets her boobs done, multiple luxury cars, watches, purses.
- 7:04Speaker 3: Bill fell victim to her trap, to say the.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Least, but Bonnie claims Bill loved her just the way
- 7:11Speaker 1: she was.
- 7:12Speaker 5: How far into your relationship, Bonnie, was it that you
- 7:15Speaker 5: found out that he was married?
- 7:16Speaker 13: It was a month and I said, you know, are
- 7:19Speaker 13: you married? And he said, yes, I'm married. He goes,
- 7:22Speaker 13: I'm separated and I'm going through a divorce and I said, okay.
- 7:27Speaker 13: Never again bothered him about it. I feel like it
- 7:30Speaker 13: wasn't my place to ask him.
- 7:32Speaker 1: In reality, though, there are no plans to divorce his
- 7:35Speaker 1: longtime wife, Francis.
- 7:37Speaker 9: They were married for thirty two years. They were high
- 7:40Speaker 9: school sweethearts.
- 7:41Speaker 16: My mom was working at a movie theater when she
- 7:43Speaker 16: was I believe sixteen, and my dad was there and
- 7:48Speaker 16: kind of just thought she was pretty. And at first
- 7:52Speaker 16: my mom wanted nothing to do with him because he
- 7:54Speaker 16: was stressed like a cowboy.
- 7:57Speaker 1: A cowboy who will prove forever difficult to tame. If
- 8:01Speaker 1: it's all just a fling with Bonnie, Bill disguises it well.
- 8:04Speaker 1: Within months, he proclaims his love.
- 8:07Speaker 13: He turned me into a woman that I wasn't before
- 8:12Speaker 13: I met him. I started falling in love. I started
- 8:16Speaker 13: warming up to him, worming up to his ways, to
- 8:19Speaker 13: his fetishes, to his flaws, you know, warmed up to
- 8:25Speaker 13: it all.
- 8:26Speaker 1: But privately, Bill is cooling down, telling friends he wants
- 8:30Speaker 1: out of the relationship.
- 8:31Speaker 3: His closest friends are tight. He couldn't get out.
- 8:33Speaker 7: He was stuck.
- 8:35Speaker 3: She had taken all these little tidbits of evidence, all
- 8:37Speaker 3: these compromising photos. She had weaseled her way into different
- 8:41Speaker 3: facets of his life and was basically blackmailing him.
- 8:44Speaker 1: Soon things spin out of control. Bonnie calls Francis and
- 8:47Speaker 1: reveals everything, and the supposed trigger Bill's refusal to buya
- 8:51Speaker 1: his mistress a one hundred dollars manicure.
- 8:54Speaker 13: And first of all, I don't get manicures, actually get
- 8:56Speaker 13: a creak, and I get my nails done.
- 8:58Speaker 1: What seems ridiculous quickly turns to serious rage, triggering a
- 9:02Speaker 1: flurry of savage text messages back and forth between Bill's
- 9:05Speaker 1: competing love interests. They write, you look like a fat explotive,
- 9:09Speaker 1: your dumb fifty year old hag botox in your exploitive
- 9:12Speaker 1: forehead because you look like an exploitive bulldog, You dumb, hollow, exploitive.
- 9:17Speaker 3: As a wife tells her everything, and then in the
- 9:20Speaker 3: hours that follow, here come videos of the mistress and
- 9:24Speaker 3: Bill having sex, I mean very graphic footage. Here are
- 9:28Speaker 3: come videos of the mistress naked with Francis's husband pictures
- 9:33Speaker 3: of hysterectomy diagram, saying Francis, You're broken, You're hollow from
- 9:38Speaker 3: the inside. You're disgusting. No wonder Bill can't be with you.
- 9:42Speaker 3: You're not even a real woman anymore.
- 9:44Speaker 5: You're calling Francis fat and old. And I think the
- 9:49Speaker 5: phrase was a the old hag, a fifty year old
- 9:51Speaker 5: hag was something to that effect.
- 9:53Speaker 13: And I was calling her every vicious name in the book.
- 9:55Speaker 17: Well, so was she.
- 9:56Speaker 13: I was defending myself, But.
- 9:58Speaker 1: Bill's daughter says Bonnie was and trying to defend herself.
- 10:01Speaker 1: She was threatening to take her dad down.
- 10:03Speaker 16: I don't think love is being blackmailed either, so that's
- 10:08Speaker 16: just nonsense. What sort of black mail she said she
- 10:12Speaker 16: had over like four thousand pictures that she was going
- 10:15Speaker 16: to post with her and my father.
- 10:18Speaker 1: Bonnie denies ever blackmailing anyone, telling Crimewatch Daily, Bill was
- 10:23Speaker 1: with her because he loved her. Then come allegations of stalking.
- 10:28Speaker 9: One time Bill and Francis were at the movies. They
- 10:32Speaker 9: were going to go to the movies, kind of like
- 10:34Speaker 9: a date night thing, and while they were in the movies,
- 10:40Speaker 9: Bonnie Contrera's a couple of rows back texted Bill during
- 10:45Speaker 9: the entire show.
- 10:47Speaker 13: Do you keep taking back your husband because of his
- 10:50Speaker 13: infidelity and you keep forgiving him?
- 10:53Speaker 20: She was so used to it that to her it
- 10:55Speaker 20: was probably normal.
- 10:56Speaker 11: There is nothing in the penal code that says it's
- 10:58Speaker 11: a criminal officers for adultery.
- 11:03Speaker 1: Next, the penal code is about to be breached in
- 11:06Speaker 1: the most serious way.
- 11:08Speaker 4: Told you to watch your vacku stupid life.
- 11:16Speaker 1: They say everything is bigger in Texas and when it
- 11:19Speaker 1: comes to relationship drama, that was definitely the case for
- 11:23Speaker 1: self made millionaire Bill Hall Junior and his wife Francis
- 11:26Speaker 1: Matt dorn Is back in San Antonio with more.
- 11:29Speaker 2: Well, Chris, imagine finding out that your husband of three
- 11:32Speaker 2: decades is cheating on you and then his mistress begins
- 11:35Speaker 2: taunting you. Well, that's exactly what investigates side Francis hole
- 11:39Speaker 2: was dealing with when she got behind.
- 11:41Speaker 17: The wheel and made a deadly decision.
- 11:46Speaker 9: It was love at first sight and they were together
- 11:50Speaker 9: from sixteen until they married at eighteen.
- 11:53Speaker 3: I wish I was related to Francis if I'm really honest,
- 11:56Speaker 3: and she's someone you wish that you had in your life.
- 12:00Speaker 3: She just is so nurturing, just a loving kind of
- 12:03Speaker 3: mother hen.
- 12:04Speaker 1: But fifty year old Francis, the matriarch of the large
- 12:07Speaker 1: and wealthy Hall family, is losing her grip, embroiled in
- 12:11Speaker 1: a venomous war of words with her husband's mistress, Bonnie Contreras,
- 12:15Speaker 1: who is almost half her age.
- 12:18Speaker 16: She had told my mother she was going to show
- 12:19Speaker 16: up at my mother's office and lead her up.
- 12:23Speaker 1: Francis had never met her husband, Bill's mistress, but on
- 12:26Speaker 1: October thirteenth, twenty thirteen, on Loop sixteen oh four in
- 12:31Speaker 1: San Antonio, they collide.
- 12:35Speaker 3: Francis is leaving her niece's volleyball game. She comes to
- 12:38Speaker 3: a stoplight. She sees Bill Gobyan his big custom Harley.
- 12:44Speaker 3: A few seconds later, she sees her range Rover, her
- 12:47Speaker 3: one hundred and thirty thousand dollars brand new car, drive
- 12:50Speaker 3: by with this woman she has never laid eyes on
- 12:53Speaker 3: in her life.
- 12:54Speaker 13: We came to that stoplight and he's like like royal
- 12:58Speaker 13: window down. So I rolled my window down, and my
- 13:00Speaker 13: cousin was on the speakerphone and he.
- 13:03Speaker 20: Goes, I love you so much God. He goes, I'm
- 13:06Speaker 20: so happy, And I said, I love you too.
- 13:09Speaker 13: Hun And then the light turned green, and that was
- 13:13Speaker 13: the last time I heard his voice.
- 13:17Speaker 1: Francis is thirty two year marriage in ruins her husband's
- 13:21Speaker 1: young mistress driving her family car. She is suddenly out
- 13:25Speaker 1: of her mind.
- 13:26Speaker 3: She was seeing black. She'd gotten all these things attacking
- 13:29Speaker 3: her personally.
- 13:30Speaker 7: And she was done.
- 13:31Speaker 3: She says, I gripped the steering wheel and I just
- 13:35Speaker 3: go that bitch.
- 13:39Speaker 1: Francis hits the gas in her black Cadillac escalated, makes
- 13:42Speaker 1: a U turn, a decision that will destroy many lives.
- 13:47Speaker 16: She calls me and she tells me, I just saw
- 13:51Speaker 16: your dad and Bonnie. I'm going to turn around and
- 13:53Speaker 16: confront her.
- 13:54Speaker 11: She had tuble vision. I do believe that she wasn't
- 13:56Speaker 11: going to stop until she had the opportunity to get
- 13:59Speaker 11: at Bonnie.
- 14:01Speaker 1: Bill, a multi millionaire, loved life in the fast lane,
- 14:05Speaker 1: but he couldn't have expected this. His two lovers in
- 14:08Speaker 1: a game of life and death cat and mouse on
- 14:11Speaker 1: the highway.
- 14:12Speaker 18: Bear County nine one one.
- 14:13Speaker 6: What is your location?
- 14:14Speaker 18: I got a black patil aide and a black brain
- 14:17Speaker 18: drover driving on the passing people on the wrong side
- 14:20Speaker 18: of the road on fifteen oh four going toward Highway ninety.
- 14:23Speaker 18: They're driving at a high rated seat. I don't know,
- 14:26Speaker 18: ninety miles an hour attack on a videot.
- 14:29Speaker 13: I feel somebody hit me from behind, and at first
- 14:33Speaker 13: I thought it was an accident, and then I was like,
- 14:36Speaker 13: what the heck? And then I felt it again, and
- 14:40Speaker 13: I looked through my review mare and it's Francis in
- 14:42Speaker 13: the truck.
- 14:45Speaker 1: Bonnie claims Francis ramser fourteen times.
- 14:49Speaker 20: Bill was in front of me.
- 14:50Speaker 13: Bill didn't know she was behind me yet, and Bill
- 14:52Speaker 13: was on the bike. And then she just kept ramming
- 14:55Speaker 13: me and ramming me. I was flooring it more, pushing
- 14:59Speaker 13: on the gas more to get away from her. So
- 15:02Speaker 13: she kept hitting me and hitting me, and she threw
- 15:04Speaker 13: me onto oncoming traffic.
- 15:05Speaker 1: But from Francis's defense team, a wildly different story.
- 15:09Speaker 3: Bonnie is playing this cat and mouse game, just slamming
- 15:11Speaker 3: on her brakes, break checking Francis constantly.
- 15:14Speaker 11: She's break checking to try to get Francis to hit her,
- 15:17Speaker 11: and francis reaction to that is to still chase her,
- 15:20Speaker 11: Which how does that make any sense whatsoever?
- 15:23Speaker 21: Me?
- 15:23Speaker 11: I'd probably just come to a stop and pull over
- 15:27Speaker 11: and say you want a piece of this or what?
- 15:30Speaker 1: As the chase unfolds, a chilling voicemail arrives from Francis's daughter,
- 15:34Speaker 1: Nikki told.
- 15:35Speaker 4: You to watch your back and big Blood.
- 15:38Speaker 16: That voicemail, you know, just really haunted us because they
- 15:44Speaker 16: wanted to use that as some sort of.
- 15:47Speaker 1: Motive evidence that Bonnie says shows what Francis is about
- 15:51Speaker 1: to do to the father of her two children is
- 15:54Speaker 1: deliberate and premeditated.
- 15:56Speaker 13: And I remember yelling at the top of my lungs
- 15:58Speaker 13: and I yelled, front just hit Bill. I was yelling,
- 16:02Speaker 13: I was crying. I wanted to stop. I didn't know
- 16:03Speaker 13: what to do. I didn't know who to call. I
- 16:05Speaker 13: didn't know if he was alive or dead. And this woman,
- 16:10Speaker 13: after she hit him, she still kept.
- 16:13Speaker 20: Going after me.
- 16:14Speaker 3: At some point she break checks Francis so hard that
- 16:16Speaker 3: Francis says, my my steering wheel starts to chatter and
- 16:20Speaker 3: shakes a fishtail a little bit. That that exact point,
- 16:24Speaker 3: Bill is so close behind Francis that he has to
- 16:26Speaker 3: veer off to the side of the roads. Ultimately, he
- 16:29Speaker 3: overcorrects and it comes back in and hits the back
- 16:31Speaker 3: of Francis's.
- 16:31Speaker 18: Car, car, motorcycle, and Lanny's.
- 16:39Speaker 1: As emergency teams are dispatched. Francis continues the high speed change.
- 16:44Speaker 13: She had just hit her husband, a man that she
- 16:47Speaker 13: claims to love, that she's in love with, that will
- 16:50Speaker 13: always be the love of her life. But yet you
- 16:53Speaker 13: don't stop and see if he's dead or alive.
- 16:55Speaker 5: Her climb ultimately was that she was unaware that she
- 16:59Speaker 5: had had sprung.
- 17:00Speaker 13: There's no way that you that she didn't see him.
- 17:03Speaker 13: He's on a bike, you're in a in an escalade,
- 17:07Speaker 13: you have clear view.
- 17:08Speaker 1: Eventually, Bonnie escapes, but when she returns to the crash site,
- 17:12Speaker 1: Bill is clinging to life.
- 17:15Speaker 7: I don't want to picture of it. I wish I
- 17:19Speaker 7: could have just held him so tight with my arms
- 17:23Speaker 7: and told him how much I loved, how which I
- 17:27Speaker 7: needed him. I don't want to remember him gasping for hair.
- 17:30Speaker 7: I don't want to remember. And you're telling him, you know, honey,
- 17:34Speaker 7: just breathe, You're gonna be okay.
- 17:36Speaker 13: You know.
- 17:38Speaker 7: When he would hurt, I would hurt.
- 17:41Speaker 1: Francis is there too, and police quickly notice her damaged Cadillac,
- 17:45Speaker 1: the rear window of the escalade completely blown out.
- 17:49Speaker 5: Halfa was Francis throbbing after the moment of impact with.
- 17:54Speaker 11: Bill, okay, And so what we're talking about is is
- 17:58Speaker 11: the crash site here, okay, and then going down and
- 18:02Speaker 11: there's a turnaround right around here, and then going back
- 18:05Speaker 11: up and pass the site here. So we're talking to
- 18:09Speaker 11: this I know five miles correct.
- 18:11Speaker 1: Correct. As Bill struggles to breathe, police set their sights
- 18:15Speaker 1: on Francis.
- 18:17Speaker 11: A patrol officer comes by and tells the sergeant, Hey,
- 18:21Speaker 11: I'm talking to someone over here, which was Bonnie, who
- 18:24Speaker 11: says that the wife ran him off the road. At
- 18:27Speaker 11: the time Francis hears this, she gets up and leaves
- 18:31Speaker 11: her dying husband's side and starts to walk away.
- 18:36Speaker 1: Moments later, Francis Hall, a fifty year old mother with
- 18:40Speaker 1: no criminal history, is in handcuffs. She is being processed
- 18:46Speaker 1: at the police station when Bill dies in the hospital
- 18:50Speaker 1: coming sixteen.
- 18:59Speaker 16: I remember my brother and I going to the jail
- 19:05Speaker 16: and waiting there, and it was like, never in my
- 19:10Speaker 16: life did I ever think that we'd be sitting here
- 19:15Speaker 16: waiting to see our mother.
- 19:16Speaker 9: Like the reality really hit.
- 19:18Speaker 1: The dramatic trial that follows captures national attention.
- 19:22Speaker 14: Some person, I did not hurt my husband.
- 19:28Speaker 8: I hadn't lived this for three years.
- 19:31Speaker 14: I would have never heard my husband. Please don't take
- 19:36Speaker 14: me for my kids, don't take me.
- 19:39Speaker 6: From my babies.
- 19:43Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 19:45Speaker 14: I love this evil person, they have said I am.
- 19:54Speaker 1: Despite the tearful testimony, the jury finds Francis guilty on
- 19:58Speaker 1: one count of murder and another aggravated assault. She's looking
- 20:02Speaker 1: at life behind bars, but the jury finds her crimes
- 20:04Speaker 1: to have been in act of what Texas lawmakers call
- 20:07Speaker 1: sudden passion.
- 20:08Speaker 11: Sudden passion, then that changes the range of punishment to
- 20:12Speaker 11: two to twenty. And when you're in law school, what
- 20:15Speaker 11: they teach you is the classic example of sudden passion
- 20:18Speaker 11: is you walk in and find your spouse having sex
- 20:21Speaker 11: with another person.
- 20:22Speaker 1: Reporter Elizabeth Zavalla covered the sentencing. The defense arguing for
- 20:26Speaker 1: the lightest possible punishment, claiming the crash was an accident,
- 20:32Speaker 1: it was just.
- 20:33Speaker 9: Raw grief, and she begged the jury to show mercy
- 20:42Speaker 9: and said that she would never have killed her husband
- 20:48Speaker 9: because she loved him too much.
- 20:50Speaker 1: The sentence a bombshell two years for murder.
- 20:57Speaker 9: Even in the walls of the Bear County Courthouse could
- 21:00Speaker 9: not find a woman who didn't say, who didn't say
- 21:04Speaker 9: to me like I would have done the same thing.
- 21:08Speaker 9: Or I would have done much worse. And the men,
- 21:12Speaker 9: you know, pretty much across the board. We we're like,
- 21:16Speaker 9: when was the last time a man was able to
- 21:19Speaker 9: get a sudden passion defense for killing his wife?
- 21:24Speaker 2: Coming up, We're now just a few minutes away from
- 21:26Speaker 2: Francis's new home, a women's prison, hearing Geittsville, one hundred
- 21:30Speaker 2: miles out of Austin.
- 21:33Speaker 1: The war of words continued and Francis is dropping bombs
- 21:37Speaker 1: from behind bars.
- 21:39Speaker 8: Can you know what she told?
- 21:39Speaker 17: Bill?
- 21:40Speaker 8: The only way I'll take an abortion is that I
- 21:42Speaker 8: get breast in plants. That's love.
- 21:45Speaker 1: That's love. And just wait until you hear what the
- 21:49Speaker 1: mistress has to say about that. We're back with more
- 21:55Speaker 1: of our top story today, a toxic love triangle out
- 21:58Speaker 1: of Texas. In a jealous rage, and Francis Hall took
- 22:01Speaker 1: off after her husband and his mistress, chasing them down
- 22:03Speaker 1: a San.
- 22:04Speaker 6: Antonio highway after a collision.
- 22:06Speaker 1: Her husband would end up dead and Francis would end
- 22:09Speaker 1: up on trial for his murder.
- 22:10Speaker 6: Today, she's talking to our Matt Dorn from behind bars.
- 22:15Speaker 1: Inside her new home, Geetsville Women's Prison in Texas. This
- 22:19Speaker 1: is Francis Hall, mother of two former multi millionaire and
- 22:23Speaker 1: convicted murderer.
- 22:26Speaker 2: It's been a night out, a very very tough few months,
- 22:30Speaker 2: Yes it is. How are you adjusting to laugh in him?
- 22:36Speaker 20: I'm nup.
- 22:38Speaker 19: I'm still in the cell.
- 22:41Speaker 8: I haven't gone out to general population or anything. Everything's
- 22:45Speaker 8: in the cell, so I'm practically. They're twenty three hours
- 22:49Speaker 8: and forty.
- 22:50Speaker 6: Minutes a day and I want to go.
- 22:56Speaker 8: I never never would have hurt my husband.
- 23:02Speaker 6: Never.
- 23:04Speaker 2: Let's talk about why you can't go home.
- 23:06Speaker 19: Francis not a day or minecles by that. I don't
- 23:10Speaker 19: think about it. I will love him till the day
- 23:15Speaker 19: I die. I will never forgot a jury.
- 23:23Speaker 2: Of course, Francis believes that you have an interesting understanding
- 23:26Speaker 2: of love.
- 23:26Speaker 5: I mean, they found you guilty of murder.
- 23:31Speaker 8: I am guilty. I'm guilty of turning around and following
- 23:35Speaker 8: her that I'm guilty of and I have a two
- 23:40Speaker 8: year sentence. But he'll never come back. He'll never be back.
- 23:46Speaker 8: I will never get to feel his touch, his embraced,
- 23:52Speaker 8: never smell him never. He has paid the ultimate price,
- 24:01Speaker 8: and with that I have to live with. But I
- 24:04Speaker 8: know in my heart of heart that I didn't hit it.
- 24:09Speaker 8: I know, and if I did it was an accident.
- 24:15Speaker 1: Bill's young mistress, Bonnie Contrera, says there was nothing accidental
- 24:19Speaker 1: about it.
- 24:20Speaker 13: She felt betrayed, she felt embarrassed. Do I understand all
- 24:24Speaker 13: of those things? Absolutely?
- 24:25Speaker 19: I do.
- 24:25Speaker 13: I'm a woman. I understand when a woman goes into
- 24:29Speaker 13: a rage and wants to do bad things.
- 24:34Speaker 17: But contain yourself.
- 24:36Speaker 13: You know, her turning that vehicle around, that was her decision.
- 24:42Speaker 1: According to San Antonio prosecutor Scott Simpson, whether Francis intended
- 24:47Speaker 1: to run Bill off the road or not is largely irrelevant.
- 24:50Speaker 11: Once she's committing the act of trying to ram a
- 24:53Speaker 11: vehicle on the highway at high rates of speed and
- 24:56Speaker 11: her husband gets run off the road and killed, she's
- 24:58Speaker 11: guilty of felony murder.
- 25:00Speaker 13: I turned back around like that.
- 25:02Speaker 22: That's when I saw her like hit him and hit
- 25:05Speaker 22: flew in.
- 25:07Speaker 2: As this pursuit is going on, you don't look in
- 25:08Speaker 2: the rear view and say, where, all of a sudden
- 25:11Speaker 2: is Bill.
- 25:13Speaker 8: I was so busy breaking and then chasing her that
- 25:17Speaker 8: I just assumed Bill was on the shoulder.
- 25:19Speaker 2: You genuinely believe that the man who has two lovers
- 25:23Speaker 2: embroiled in a high speed chase has just decided to
- 25:26Speaker 2: disappear and leave them to go at it.
- 25:28Speaker 8: No, I mean I never thought that. I just assumed
- 25:31Speaker 8: he was parked somewhere.
- 25:33Speaker 11: There's a paint chip from the motorcycle in the cargo
- 25:36Speaker 11: bay of that escalade. When that handlebar hit that window,
- 25:40Speaker 11: that window shattered.
- 25:41Speaker 8: Immediately, I kept going down and I'm like, wait a minute,
- 25:45Speaker 8: why is this window broken?
- 25:47Speaker 2: So you just had no idea, didn't hear anything.
- 25:50Speaker 7: I had no idea I.
- 25:51Speaker 8: Did met I hurt something when I break, as God
- 25:54Speaker 8: is my witness.
- 25:57Speaker 3: If anyone was guilty of anything, I would say, it's
- 25:59Speaker 3: funny contrerass of reckless driving? Period.
- 26:03Speaker 5: How would you describe Bonnie contrast?
- 26:05Speaker 8: She is one twisted, twisted, conniving, deceiving psychle. She'd take
- 26:18Speaker 8: a picture of me and send it to him. Oh
- 26:20Speaker 8: look where your fat wife is at and he goes.
- 26:23Speaker 8: She did that for two and a half years.
- 26:26Speaker 5: She insists Francis that this was true love. This wasn't
- 26:29Speaker 5: last that I were in love.
- 26:31Speaker 2: I talked about having a family together.
- 26:33Speaker 8: Is that why Bill bought her an abortion? That's how
- 26:35Speaker 8: much Bill wanted a family? And you know what she
- 26:37Speaker 8: told Bill? The only way I'll take an abortion is
- 26:40Speaker 8: that I get breast implants. That's love, that's love.
- 26:44Speaker 1: Bonnie says she was pregnant but had to terminate the
- 26:47Speaker 1: pregnancy because of medical reasons. It was not part of
- 26:50Speaker 1: a deal to get breast implants. Up next, a shocking
- 26:55Speaker 1: message to the wife from the mistress, I forgive her.
- 27:00Speaker 1: Wh Is there a multi million dollar lawsuit? And who's
- 27:03Speaker 1: suing who?
- 27:05Speaker 8: I have to be there for them and love.
- 27:09Speaker 19: The other.
- 27:14Speaker 1: Millionaire Bill Hall Junior is dead. His mistress and wife,
- 27:18Speaker 1: the two women who claimed they loved him, both choking
- 27:21Speaker 1: back tiers.
- 27:22Speaker 5: What do you say to those people out there that
- 27:24Speaker 5: might suggest that it wasn't Bill that you fell in
- 27:27Speaker 5: love with, that it was his wealth.
- 27:29Speaker 20: I was just willing to go through it all with him,
- 27:32Speaker 20: you know, through the ups, the downs, the divorce, you
- 27:37Speaker 20: know what was all the mud that was going to
- 27:39Speaker 20: come through it, all the hell that she was going
- 27:42Speaker 20: to probably put both of us through. I loved this man.
- 27:46Speaker 1: It's too Bill's wife of thirty two years, Francis, now
- 27:51Speaker 1: sits in prison, convicted of killing Bill after running him
- 27:54Speaker 1: off the road on his motorcycle. Despite it all, she
- 27:57Speaker 1: swears it was an accident and love Bill to the
- 28:01Speaker 1: day she dies.
- 28:03Speaker 8: Even as I was going to trall, I would tell
- 28:06Speaker 8: my attorneys not to bad mouth him, not to disrespect him,
- 28:12Speaker 8: because he's my Bill.
- 28:14Speaker 2: You mean, his infidelity, yet this.
- 28:17Speaker 8: Much pat this much good. Through the times that he
- 28:23Speaker 8: was leading this secret life, he made sure I was
- 28:27Speaker 8: his number one.
- 28:29Speaker 2: The depth of deception was enormous for three years.
- 28:32Speaker 8: It doesn't matter. I love him, and he's the only
- 28:38Speaker 8: man that I'll ever love.
- 28:41Speaker 1: But Francis shows no love or forgiveness for the other
- 28:45Speaker 1: woman in Bill's life, who she claims shattered her world.
- 28:50Speaker 13: I know that I never broke up that family. That
- 28:53Speaker 13: family was already broken. She's without him, I'm without him.
- 28:58Speaker 13: His kids are without a dad, babies are without a grandpa.
- 29:02Speaker 13: So it would be selfish for me to sit here
- 29:04Speaker 13: and say that part of me forgives her.
- 29:06Speaker 1: But I do, but not enough to drop her civil action.
- 29:09Speaker 1: Bonnie is seeking two point five million dollars from the
- 29:13Speaker 1: whole family, alleging emotional distress from the car chakes.
- 29:17Speaker 13: I find myself in certain situations quite often where I
- 29:22Speaker 13: can be driving and out of nowhere, I'll just start
- 29:26Speaker 13: I lose it, I start crying.
- 29:28Speaker 8: I still don't know if I hit him or he
- 29:31Speaker 8: hit me, and with that I will live with the
- 29:34Speaker 8: rest of my life with it because if I did it,
- 29:37Speaker 8: oh my god, there's so much remorse in me. And
- 29:39Speaker 8: if they want me to show remorse, I have remorse.
- 29:45Speaker 8: Sometimes I tell my kids got all that's left to
- 29:50Speaker 8: me is a chill of a woman. But I have
- 29:58Speaker 8: to be there for them, the other.
- 30:02Speaker 1: Two broken hearts and a father dead. Bonnie says it
- 30:06Speaker 1: could happen to anyone.
- 30:08Speaker 13: You fall in love with somebody else, she falls in
- 30:11Speaker 13: love with somebody else, vice versa.
- 30:14Speaker 20: That's not a crime. It happens every day.
- 30:20Speaker 13: I'm not a bad person. I just fell in love
- 30:23Speaker 13: and I couldn't help it. And if he wasn't willing
- 30:27Speaker 13: to let go, why was I?
- 30:31Speaker 6: Well.
- 30:31Speaker 1: Bonnie is certainly among the people who think Francis deserved
- 30:34Speaker 1: more than two years behind Barns and coming up next,
- 30:37Speaker 1: two lawyers score off on that topic.
- 30:39Speaker 6: Right here on the streets of New York. Did the
- 30:41Speaker 6: jury get a right?
- 30:43Speaker 1: That's next two years, That's all Francis Hall will spend
- 30:49Speaker 1: behind bars. Even though she was convicted of murdering her husband,
- 30:52Speaker 1: she could have received life in prison.
- 30:54Speaker 6: However, some say she didn't deserve any time at all.
- 30:57Speaker 1: Here to break down the case, Attorneys Misty Marras and
- 31:00Speaker 1: Mike Cavalucci. Thanks for being here. Mike, you're the defense lawyer.
- 31:04Speaker 1: How do you appeal this case?
- 31:05Speaker 23: The big appeal here for Francis Hall is that she
- 31:08Speaker 23: is innocent. It is her husband and his mistress who
- 31:13Speaker 23: started this contact. She was just freaking out and crazy
- 31:17Speaker 23: because her husband was having.
- 31:18Speaker 6: An event years younger.
- 31:20Speaker 1: But an affair doesn't mean you get to run over
- 31:22Speaker 1: your husband while he's on a motorcycle.
- 31:24Speaker 12: Absolutely not, Chris. The answer to an affair or infidelity
- 31:28Speaker 12: is divorce, not death. Here we have somebody who intended
- 31:32Speaker 12: to run down the husband's mistress and while doing so,
- 31:36Speaker 12: acting in a deadly manner. Not your husband right off
- 31:39Speaker 12: the road.
- 31:39Speaker 6: Mike, How does a crime of passion defense work?
- 31:42Speaker 23: First of all, Misty has it completely wrong, just like
- 31:45Speaker 23: the jury had it wrong. There is something in murder
- 31:48Speaker 23: called intent. A person must intend to kill the other person.
- 31:52Speaker 6: This was an accident that was.
- 31:54Speaker 23: Started by the contact that was initiated by Bill Hall
- 31:58Speaker 23: and his mistress.
- 31:59Speaker 12: First of all, the wife knew about this affair. This
- 32:02Speaker 12: is not something that she just.
- 32:03Speaker 6: Learned that day she knew she had.
- 32:05Speaker 12: Exchanged text messages with the mistress. I completely disagree with
- 32:10Speaker 12: your assessment of intent. The husband is dead because of her.
- 32:13Speaker 6: I can argue that she got off easy with only
- 32:15Speaker 6: a two year sentence.
- 32:16Speaker 23: One I would say that she owes her lawyers a
- 32:18Speaker 23: big debt of gratitude a two year sentence. That also
- 32:21Speaker 23: shows how much the jury sympathized with her predicament. Misty
- 32:26Speaker 23: is right that a reckless disregard for the lives of
- 32:29Speaker 23: other people is intent in a murder case. However, the
- 32:33Speaker 23: circumstances here are very bizarre in which this was an
- 32:36Speaker 23: extremely explosive situation.
- 32:38Speaker 6: This was an action.
- 32:39Speaker 12: You're telling me that it's bizarre that somebody is unfaithful.
- 32:43Speaker 12: There is no excuse under these circumstances, Misty.
- 32:47Speaker 6: The jury clearly agreed with his two year sentence.
- 32:50Speaker 12: The jury and the jury definitely got that wrong. There
- 32:52Speaker 12: is extraordinary evidence to undercut a heat of passion defense.
- 32:55Speaker 12: She You can form intent, Chris, within a second the
- 32:59Speaker 12: minute she engaged in a high speed chase.
- 33:02Speaker 6: In her vehicle.
- 33:03Speaker 12: That is when she formed the intent that she was
- 33:05Speaker 12: going to follow Bonnie and, by her own words, confront
- 33:08Speaker 12: her can you.
- 33:09Speaker 6: Get a successful appeal this case?
- 33:10Speaker 23: Mine, Absolutely, you can get a successful appeal because the circumstances.
- 33:13Speaker 23: The defense had an expert that said that this did
- 33:16Speaker 23: not go down the way that Bonnie confirmed my expect.
- 33:20Speaker 6: Prosecution had an expert. It's the exact same thing. Just
- 33:24Speaker 6: like a prosecutor. You don't let us talk. That's what
- 33:26Speaker 6: we do.
- 33:26Speaker 23: So absolutely there could be a successful defense because this
- 33:31Speaker 23: was an accident.
- 33:32Speaker 6: Mistery, what do you ultimately think will happen in this case?
- 33:34Speaker 12: This is an extraordinarily lenient sentence. Unfortunate, Mike, I'm gonna
- 33:38Speaker 12: surprise you. I do think the sentence will stick. She's
- 33:41Speaker 12: not going to get off. She's going to serve for
- 33:42Speaker 12: two years. And she should be thanking him lucky stars
- 33:45Speaker 12: that there wasn't a bystander, an innocent bystander that gotten
- 33:48Speaker 12: her way and made this a double murder.
- 33:50Speaker 23: Should she be free, Tom, She absolutely should be free today.
- 33:54Speaker 23: She should not be in prison. However, I agree with
- 33:56Speaker 23: Misty that she will not appeal that sentence. She will, however,
- 34:00Speaker 23: appeal of the conviction.
- 34:01Speaker 12: Chris, she is a convicted murderer.
- 34:03Speaker 6: She should not be free. Mike. Misty, thanks for being
- 34:06Speaker 6: on Crime Watch Daily. I appreciate it.
- 34:07Speaker 1: Now we ask you at home, do you think Francis
- 34:10Speaker 1: deserved the two year sentence for the murder of her husband.
- 34:13Speaker 1: Go to our Facebook page and sound off. Up next,
- 34:17Speaker 1: a husband makes a desperate plea to find his wife.
- 34:20Speaker 6: I want you to know that I love you. I
- 34:23Speaker 6: can't wait to see you again.
- 34:24Speaker 1: But please say he knows more than he's saying. And
- 34:27Speaker 1: the terrible secret is hiding on a crudelist account.
- 34:30Speaker 22: I do believe that her lifestyle ultimately resulted in her dad.
- 34:34Speaker 1: That's next, all right now a story we followed very
- 34:39Speaker 1: closely here at.
- 34:40Speaker 6: Crime Watch Daily.
- 34:41Speaker 1: A cred list encounter in Oklahoma City ends in murder.
- 34:45Speaker 1: Pat Lelama is teaming up with our affiliate kfo R
- 34:48Speaker 1: for the very latest.
- 34:50Speaker 24: A pregnant woman goes to McDonald's and vanishes into thin air.
- 34:53Speaker 17: Where is Jamie Adams?
- 34:56Speaker 6: Our children need their mother.
- 34:58Speaker 24: Jamie's husband, Justin makes the tear of plea for her return.
- 35:01Speaker 6: I saw miracle. You're watching this. I want you to
- 35:05Speaker 6: know that I love you. I can't wait to see
- 35:08Speaker 6: you again.
- 35:10Speaker 24: But Jamie would never see that TV report. She was
- 35:13Speaker 24: already dead. Her mutilated body was found a month later
- 35:18Speaker 24: on a dirt bike track in a remote field. Twenty
- 35:21Speaker 24: nine stab wounds ended the life of Jamie, who was
- 35:25Speaker 24: two months pregnant.
- 35:27Speaker 6: My wife is a loving, strong woman.
- 35:30Speaker 24: Justin reportedly told cops Jamie went out that night to
- 35:34Speaker 24: meet a friend. Investigators say that friend was a john.
- 35:39Speaker 24: Jamie was a prostitute. Prosecutors say Jamie advertised don Craigslist
- 35:44Speaker 24: to find her customers. Her mother in law tells our
- 35:47Speaker 24: Oklahoma City affiliate k FR she wasn't surprised.
- 35:52Speaker 10: Jamie done it before she met my son and they
- 35:56Speaker 10: fell on hard times, so Jamie fell back to it.
- 35:59Speaker 10: Only think she knew a single mom trying to feed
- 36:02Speaker 10: her kids.
- 36:03Speaker 24: And as it turns out, Jamie's pimp was her own husband,
- 36:07Speaker 24: and cops believed her killer.
- 36:11Speaker 17: Justin was soon charged with murder.
- 36:13Speaker 10: My son's guilty of loving his wife, not murder.
- 36:16Speaker 24: He denied it, and his defense team says there was
- 36:19Speaker 24: no physical evidence tying him to Jamie's killing.
- 36:22Speaker 22: There's nothing that puts Justin at the crime scene.
- 36:24Speaker 24: And that's why Justin was eventually released from jail and
- 36:28Speaker 24: the murder charges were dropped. Private investigator Dana Rena collected
- 36:32Speaker 24: evidence for his defense.
- 36:33Speaker 22: I do believe that her lifestyle and a lifestyle that
- 36:37Speaker 22: Justin had gone along with, ultimately resulted in her death.
- 36:42Speaker 25: Keep in mind, they filed a murder charge. They say,
- 36:45Speaker 25: we have the guy that murdered Jamie Adams, we had
- 36:48Speaker 25: the one that took her out, We had the one
- 36:50Speaker 25: that stabbed her and cut her up and mutilated her body,
- 36:52Speaker 25: and all along they were totally wrong.
- 36:56Speaker 17: So if Justin didn't do it, who did.
- 36:59Speaker 24: During the investigation, detectives say Justin posted this shocking ad
- 37:03Speaker 24: on Craig's list. I am letting any willing man come
- 37:06Speaker 24: and have his way with my wife with a little
- 37:09Speaker 24: compensation for us to help with our holiday funding. Apparently
- 37:13Speaker 24: they found that willing man, a John named Joseph Seyr.
- 37:18Speaker 25: I think he's a Craigslist killer. This guy's crazy, and
- 37:20Speaker 25: I think it's scary that he's been out, actually free,
- 37:22Speaker 25: all this time.
- 37:23Speaker 24: Investigators say cell phone records tie Sear to the timeline
