- 0:01Srioro Bindo describes the very traditional understanding of the
- 0:05awakening of the yogic force in the being and its ascent upwards
- 0:09from the Mulhadhara Chakra to the crown of the head, where it
- 0:13meets the divine consciousness and thereby brings into the
- 0:17being the higher force to transform the life and the
- 0:22nature. He points out elsewhere that the
- 0:25Force can also enter from above and work its way downward, and
- 0:29that method may prove safer for the seeker.
- 0:32Many times when the Yoga Shakti awakens in the lower chakras,
- 0:37there can be some serious disruptions to the balance in
- 0:40the body, the nervous system and the emotional stability as the
- 0:45Force strikes the ascending series of chakras without there
- 0:49being a consciousness already awake and understanding what is
- 0:53taking place to find a way to maintain the balance.
- 0:57In fact, This is why it is recommended that the seeker only
- 1:01attempt to practice what is known as Kundalini Yoga under
- 1:05the guidance of an experienced and qualified teacher.
- 1:10Whether the seeker starts from below or from above, eventually
- 1:15there must come about a unification of the Force within
- 1:18the being. Thus the transformation of one's
- 1:22focus, aspiration, awareness and active nature begins in earnest.
- 1:30Sri Arrobinto observes quote There is a Yoga Shakti coiled or
- 1:35asleep in the inner body, not active.
- 1:38When one does yoga, this force uncoils itself and rises upward
- 1:42to meet the divine consciousness and Force that are waiting above
- 1:46us. When this happens, when the
- 1:49awakened Yoga Shakti arises, it is often felt like a snake
- 1:54uncoiling and standing up straight and lifting itself more
- 1:58and more upwards. When it meets the divine
- 2:01consciousness above, then the force of the divine
- 2:05consciousness canmore easily descend into the body and be
- 2:09felt working there to change the nature.
