- 0:11Speaker 1: Patriot's Unfiltered. Welcome back to another episode of Patriots Unfiltered.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Notice how professional the voice was coming away? Alright, well,
- 0:24Speaker 1: Fred practices all the time. Alright. Isn't his club's name
- 0:28Speaker 1: Mercy mac Jones. I think so, Yeah, I don't know,
- 0:32Speaker 1: that's that's Alexon's department. I think it was. I'm the
- 0:34Speaker 1: latest episode of Hats from the Past. If you visit
- 0:36Speaker 1: with Pro Football Hall of Fame and Dottee Richard Seymour,
- 0:39Speaker 1: maybe you guys listen to that. I did. Thank you
- 0:41Speaker 1: for asking out. That was like the golden age of
- 0:43Speaker 1: sports Twitter. Yeah oh yeah, you know. Then we're really
- 0:47Speaker 1: talking about things come out gain and Stein did just
- 0:52Speaker 1: that a little bit. But I will say nothing is
- 0:54Speaker 1: worse than to our conversation about soap. Not sure I
- 0:56Speaker 1: care for her tone. She's walking our off seasons. So
- 1:00Speaker 1: the hamper that's in there is technically the kids hamper,
- 1:02Speaker 1: and our hamper is in our room. So I save
- 1:04Speaker 1: things for the hamper in our room. Does that make sense? Yeah?
- 1:07Speaker 1: He had a no hang up This is Patriot's Unfiltered,
- 1:11Speaker 1: fueled by Duncan. All right, it's your boy, Mike Dousseau
- 1:18Speaker 1: in the host charity guys, Patriots Unfilter. I know, strapping boy.
- 1:22Speaker 1: I'll let you boy. I didn't even practice my open
- 1:24Speaker 1: I don't even know what I'm feeling. I'm fly by
- 1:26Speaker 1: the seat of my pants. But it's Patriots Unfiltered. We're here.
- 1:30Speaker 1: We've got a small crew before the big Fourth of
- 1:32Speaker 1: July weekend. Well, you know who comming only wants to
- 1:35Speaker 1: do it right? Who wants to be here, who wants
- 1:37Speaker 1: to get better us? Right? Me? Myself? The boys, the Deuce,
- 1:41Speaker 1: Paul Parilla, Matise Bauman, We got the three guys today.
- 1:45Speaker 1: The girls are I dount on assignments, so we'll see
- 1:48Speaker 1: I apologize an assignment. I don't know. I decaid that
- 1:51Speaker 1: to be nice. I think they're maybe maybe maybe they're
- 1:54Speaker 1: trying to swing a work from home day. I don't
- 1:55Speaker 1: know for sure, but we are here for the next
- 1:58Speaker 1: two hours. We're gonna try to talk some Patriots. Not
- 2:00Speaker 1: a ton of Patriots news going on right now, but
- 2:03Speaker 1: we'd love to hear from you guys. Of course here
- 2:05Speaker 1: last last show, we got into dogs we got into laundry.
- 2:09Speaker 1: There was a lot of a lot of off topic things.
- 2:11Speaker 1: I'm sure today will be simple. See where it goes.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Free form today, little free form, all right. I like
- 2:16Speaker 1: that we're audience driven. Yeah, so please right in web
- 2:20Speaker 1: radio at Patriots dot com eight five five Pats five hundred,
- 2:24Speaker 1: five hundred. Right, I got all these things. You think
- 2:25Speaker 1: i'd know these things. I hear him all the time,
- 2:28Speaker 1: but I'm not paying attention, so I don't know. But
- 2:30Speaker 1: uh so, let's just little football to start. Terry McLaurin.
- 2:34Speaker 1: I know that somebody we've kind of talked about a
- 2:36Speaker 1: little bit signed a big contract. And no, I know Paul.
- 2:40Speaker 1: He's a guy that you liked. I do like him
- 2:42Speaker 1: a lot, and I like him as much for what
- 2:46Speaker 1: he does on the field from what I hear of
- 2:47Speaker 1: his reputation off of it. Now, obviously I don't have
- 2:50Speaker 1: firsthand knowledge of that. I've never spoken in the man,
- 2:53Speaker 1: but by all accounts he is um. He really stands
- 2:57Speaker 1: out in an organization that otherwise has a hard time
- 2:59Speaker 1: doing right there. He's just a lot of shake my
- 3:01Speaker 1: head about everything. Like you know, Terry McLaurin, I think
- 3:05Speaker 1: and I like the I like the contract for both
- 3:08Speaker 1: both for him and for the team because it allows
- 3:12Speaker 1: him to get the money that he wants and he
- 3:14Speaker 1: probably deserves. He's been a pretty productive guy despite having
- 3:17Speaker 1: not a lot of support around him, especially at the
- 3:19Speaker 1: quarterback position. But it also it's only a three year deal,
- 3:23Speaker 1: so the team doesn't have to worry about him sort
- 3:26Speaker 1: of getting old on the contract, and he gets to
- 3:29Speaker 1: hit free agency again and potentially uh you know bank
- 3:33Speaker 1: bank a little bit more so. Yeah. So, I mean
- 3:37Speaker 1: I like the player. I think he is a Patriots
- 3:39Speaker 1: kind of player from afar um. I mean, I had
- 3:42Speaker 1: no illusions that he was going to become a Patriot,
- 3:44Speaker 1: unlike most of you know, you know in the in
- 3:47Speaker 1: the open that we had the golden age of Twitter.
- 3:49Speaker 1: I didn't know there was such a thing. Um. You know,
- 3:52Speaker 1: every time there's a prominent player who is you know,
- 3:57Speaker 1: rumored to be disgruntled or whatever, he automatically comes to Patriot.
- 4:01Speaker 1: So'll hear about him in two thousand and twenty six,
- 4:03Speaker 1: he's the latest one cross him off the list. I
- 4:06Speaker 1: think Larry Fitzgerald is at the the botch the hurts
- 4:10Speaker 1: uh in the Airpie's still still not signed, right, is
- 4:14Speaker 1: still available, he's in Boston, maybe Turell Owens as well. Um,
- 4:17Speaker 1: but is this I mean, this is just another and
- 4:19Speaker 1: this is not even that crazy really, but the whole
- 4:22Speaker 1: lot season was so crazy with wide receivers and the
- 4:25Speaker 1: moves and um, you know, Teesse and I were talking
- 4:27Speaker 1: about it a little bit upstairs. He said, you know,
- 4:30Speaker 1: Jamar Chase is gonna be the the highest paid receiver,
- 4:32Speaker 1: like not by Cincinnati, I don't think, but Jefferson, how
- 4:36Speaker 1: proactive to teams you know, need to be Now? It
- 4:38Speaker 1: just seems like if a guy gets the free agency,
- 4:41Speaker 1: he's probably walking right. Yeah, And I think that's part
- 4:43Speaker 1: of it. Like, I think some of those things are tough,
- 4:48Speaker 1: but when you have a guy that's really productive, it's
- 4:49Speaker 1: going to be interesting to see what what uh you know,
- 4:52Speaker 1: the Mac Jones situation, how that unfolds him in two years?
- 4:57Speaker 1: I guess, yeah, so it's still two years away. Um,
- 5:00Speaker 1: but yeah, I think that makes sense for a team
- 5:02Speaker 1: to be proactive and try to get a guy, not
- 5:04Speaker 1: because you're trying to save money, but I think it's
- 5:07Speaker 1: better to have a guy who's motivated and wants now listen,
- 5:12Speaker 1: that's part of being a good team. In a good
- 5:14Speaker 1: uh personnel department is understanding which guys you think you
- 5:18Speaker 1: can give them money too and it won't change them
- 5:20Speaker 1: in terms of their motivation and which ones you can Yeah, yeah,
- 5:24Speaker 1: I don't know what you think. I mean, I think
- 5:25Speaker 1: about just even T Higgins. You know it's it's like
- 5:27Speaker 1: like even guys like that with Cincinnati, who very good receiver.
- 5:31Speaker 1: I mean probably you know, and the mix to be
- 5:33Speaker 1: the number one maybe here, but you know, how do
- 5:35Speaker 1: you It's just trying to find that sweet spot. And
- 5:38Speaker 1: I know we talked about happy too, Yeah, like keeping
- 5:40Speaker 1: people happy. You got Burrow. See Boyd is a Patriot
- 5:42Speaker 1: type guy to me, yeah, just another number two tea tough.
- 5:49Speaker 1: He took it to a negative place. I was gonna
- 5:51Speaker 1: give you his attributes that I think are like tough
- 5:54Speaker 1: between the numbers kind of guy. Physical. I like Tyler Boyd. Yeah,
- 5:59Speaker 1: I like, I really like him coming out of pit
- 6:00Speaker 1: a lot. I mean, he made a lot of sense
- 6:02Speaker 1: for the Patriots. I had him on my big boy
- 6:04Speaker 1: with that. Yeah. Oh yeah, well some of us, some
- 6:07Speaker 1: of us not so much. I might have two as well.
- 6:09Speaker 1: But you know, you wonder next year, what are the
- 6:11Speaker 1: Patriots going to do with the position and how do
- 6:13Speaker 1: things play out. Aglare's got one more year. You know,
- 6:17Speaker 1: we know born couple, We know DeVante Parker's got another
- 6:20Speaker 1: year under contract, but Jacoby Myers is up. I mean,
- 6:23Speaker 1: this could be a position next offseason that the Patriots
- 6:27Speaker 1: are potentially looking out there and saying, hey, let's go
- 6:30Speaker 1: try to get a guy. Now. I don't know if
- 6:32Speaker 1: that's still going to be their m O, but maybe
- 6:33Speaker 1: after this season, depending on how it goes with Mac,
- 6:36Speaker 1: he might say, man, he needs that number one time,
- 6:39Speaker 1: and you better be penciling in teases Guy Thornton for
- 6:44Speaker 1: one of those bunts. Yeah, like you know, you're I
- 6:47Speaker 1: can live with. Okay, you have maybe not high end
- 6:52Speaker 1: talent at the position, but you have some depth at
- 6:54Speaker 1: the position. So Thornton's rookie year opportunities might be limited
- 7:00Speaker 1: up by year two with two of those guys entering
- 7:02Speaker 1: free agency. Like, you don't want to get in a
- 7:04Speaker 1: situation where you have to resign agalore in Myers because
- 7:07Speaker 1: you don't have anything in the pipeline. Yeah, the would,
- 7:09Speaker 1: and better of showing some some promise in year one
- 7:12Speaker 1: so you can make better decisions moving forward. I wonder
- 7:16Speaker 1: how many opportunities starting's gonna get you know, Hey, let's
- 7:19Speaker 1: face it, tomorrow's July, so camp starts next month. I mean,
- 7:22Speaker 1: it's it's coming up quick. Sorry, Paul, sorry to remind you.
- 7:25Speaker 1: At least the weather's nice though, I know, Paul, that's
- 7:28Speaker 1: that's silver lining for you, right. You love the hot
- 7:30Speaker 1: way I love the heat. So at least we're getting
- 7:32Speaker 1: that right now. But you know, what are his opportunities
- 7:35Speaker 1: going to be like? There's so many wide receivers right now,
- 7:38Speaker 1: and guys, certainly Parker Agalore, um Born Myers being the
- 7:43Speaker 1: top of the list, but even to kill Harry just
- 7:45Speaker 1: you know, what are the opportunities going to be like
- 7:47Speaker 1: for these guys when you get into training camp? And
- 7:49Speaker 1: how important is it, you know, to make to make
- 7:51Speaker 1: plays when those opportunities do come. We saw train Nixon
- 7:55Speaker 1: make the most of his opportunities. Who popped up again,
- 7:57Speaker 1: by the way, we saw Agalore train Nixon. There out there,
- 8:00Speaker 1: they're working, Paul, they're getting out there off the fielden
- 8:04Speaker 1: age of Twitter. We like it out there and percentage
- 8:08Speaker 1: in southern California, uh, working to get better. But what
- 8:11Speaker 1: did they have him for his percentage? By the way, Mac,
- 8:14Speaker 1: how many of those passes did he complete? I think
- 8:16Speaker 1: it was one hundred percent, every single one of them. Yeah,
- 8:18Speaker 1: one one in completion, but it wasn't his fault was drawn, Mike,
- 8:23Speaker 1: I picked it off. That's that that that's pretty cool. Uh.
- 8:28Speaker 1: But again, I love to hear from you guys. Um,
- 8:30Speaker 1: we'll get to we'll get some emails. We've got some
- 8:32Speaker 1: emails rolling in. Appreciate those and and of course we'd
- 8:35Speaker 1: love to hear from you guys as well. Any random
- 8:37Speaker 1: topics are up for discussion. Uh what else? What else
- 8:41Speaker 1: we got? Well, yeah, you want me to this, all right,
- 8:43Speaker 1: let's let's talk. So yeah, I had I had something
- 8:45Speaker 1: that was kind of sobering that I got in my
- 8:47Speaker 1: my inbox yesterday. Sobering. You think it's like something serious.
- 8:51Speaker 1: So we You know, there's a lot of these betting
- 8:53Speaker 1: sites now and they send out a lot of promotional information.
- 8:56Speaker 1: This is um from sports Betting dot AG. I don't
- 9:00Speaker 1: know if that's AG or AG stands for something, but
- 9:04Speaker 1: Sportsbetting dot AG. Okay, So they have a variety of
- 9:10Speaker 1: in front. I mean, you can really go blind to
- 9:12Speaker 1: trying to read all this stuff. But one of the
- 9:14Speaker 1: things that caught my eye that they sent me yesterday
- 9:17Speaker 1: was all of the AFC East teams some of their
- 9:22Speaker 1: odds for some of their games. Like you know, for example,
- 9:24Speaker 1: you can learn today if you'd like that the Dolphins
- 9:27Speaker 1: are three point favorite in week one, you know, in
- 9:30Speaker 1: the opener. Let's see Week two, Patriots are not oh pete,
- 9:36Speaker 1: Patriots are favored by one and a half at Pittsburgh.
- 9:40Speaker 1: Week three, Patriots are favored by two and a half
- 9:42Speaker 1: at home against Baltimore. So you get an idea of
- 9:45Speaker 1: some of the future spreads. But that's not really the
- 9:48Speaker 1: thing that was sobering to me. So they have odds
- 9:52Speaker 1: for division teams. You know, you can bet will sweep
- 9:57Speaker 1: split or you know, get swept, you know, three categories.
- 10:00Speaker 1: So as an example, the Bills in the Dolphins, the
- 10:05Speaker 1: Bills going two and oh when the division is it's
- 10:07Speaker 1: minus one oh five. So obviously that's what they think
- 10:10Speaker 1: is going to happen. The Dolphins sweeping the Bills as
- 10:13Speaker 1: plus six hundred, so you can see that that's a
- 10:16Speaker 1: less likely thing. Here's what kind of got me a
- 10:20Speaker 1: little a scared, Tiace. So the Patriots are predictably to
- 10:28Speaker 1: sweep the Jets, is plus one twenty to split with
- 10:33Speaker 1: the Jets is plus one twenty. But for the Jets
- 10:36Speaker 1: to sweep the Patriots, much bigger odds plus five hundred, okay,
- 10:42Speaker 1: plus five hundred for the Jets to sweep the Patriots.
- 10:45Speaker 1: So in other words, yeah, probably not going to happen, right,
- 10:49Speaker 1: Patriots Bills, the Bills are one thirty to sweep the Patriots,
- 10:55Speaker 1: So much better odds for the Bills to sweep the
- 10:57Speaker 1: Patriots than the Patriots to sweep the Jets. The Patriots
- 11:01Speaker 1: to sweep the Bills, what do you think that that's
- 11:04Speaker 1: that's checking in at plus eight hundred plus eight hundred, okay,
- 11:12Speaker 1: So they're telling this, This particular betting site is telling you,
- 11:17Speaker 1: I've seen Morrell's having a popsicle headache in the other room.
- 11:20Speaker 1: I can tell he's he's already, he's in he's having
- 11:22Speaker 1: like Vietnam flashbacks of the the overrunders and whatnot for
- 11:28Speaker 1: the pre pregame social So the Patriots, the Vegas thinks, well,
- 11:33Speaker 1: this particular sports I shouldn't say sports betting dot ag
- 11:38Speaker 1: believes that it's more likely that the Bills sweep the
- 11:41Speaker 1: Patriots than it is for the Patriots to sweep the Jets.
- 11:47Speaker 1: Not good, I mean significantly more likely plus five hundred
- 11:50Speaker 1: to plus eight hundred. I think that's opportunity there to
- 11:52Speaker 1: make some money though, if you believe in those Patriots,
- 11:54Speaker 1: get in on that right now. So that that kind
- 11:56Speaker 1: of opened my eyes a little bit. Um. Now those
- 11:59Speaker 1: the Dolphins, the Dolphins one, because I think the Dolphins Patriots, Yeah,
- 12:03Speaker 1: series tiede minus one ten, so they're telling you that,
- 12:06Speaker 1: and then the other two or even plus two sixty,
- 12:08Speaker 1: So then it could go either the Dolphins sweep, Patriots
- 12:10Speaker 1: sweep same same yeah. Yeah, I mean it's it's hard
- 12:14Speaker 1: to make an argument. I mean, I think you look
- 12:16Speaker 1: at the Jets what they've done that they've made a
- 12:18Speaker 1: lot of good moves. I mean it depends, of course
- 12:20Speaker 1: on Zach Wilson. And that's the same word the Patriots
- 12:22Speaker 1: all right now with mac hoping, you know that the
- 12:24Speaker 1: development is there in the next year. But you know,
- 12:27Speaker 1: we love I mean, I love the receiver they took
- 12:30Speaker 1: out of Ohio State Draft. I'm doing I'm pulling a
- 12:32Speaker 1: Paul right now, totally blake on his name, right Wilson, Sorry,
- 12:36Speaker 1: m but we like Elijah more, we like Garret Wilson draft.
- 12:39Speaker 1: I know there is Sauce Gardner, Jermaine Johnson, that's Tamara's boy. Um,
- 12:47Speaker 1: it's not hard to look at their draft and say,
- 12:49Speaker 1: people like the draft pieces than some of the patients.
- 12:52Speaker 1: And I've seen this both ways. I've seen some people
- 12:55Speaker 1: sort of take that draft and say, well, the Jets
- 12:58Speaker 1: are going to be much improved. I don't think they
- 12:59Speaker 1: will be. Yeah, I think that it's hard to just
- 13:03Speaker 1: plug in three or four guys and say they're all
- 13:05Speaker 1: going to be really good and then you're you're going
- 13:07Speaker 1: to be good. As a result, it was the youngest
- 13:09Speaker 1: team in the league last year. It was the youngest defense,
- 13:12Speaker 1: particularly in history. I believe they're they're in the process.
- 13:18Speaker 1: They're not there yet. I might I think that they'll
- 13:21Speaker 1: probably if Zach Wilson is a little bit better, they'll
- 13:25Speaker 1: be a little bit better. I mean, obviously, it's it's
- 13:28Speaker 1: hard to get beyond bad quarterback play. He needs to
- 13:32Speaker 1: be better. I think he was a little bit better
- 13:34Speaker 1: in the second half when he got back from his injury.
- 13:36Speaker 1: But I don't anticipate them winning eight or nine games
- 13:39Speaker 1: like I mean, I've seen some people sort of say,
- 13:41Speaker 1: you know, the Jets are you know, the Jets I
- 13:43Speaker 1: think are on the right track, but I don't think
- 13:46Speaker 1: they're they're they're there yet. That That's what I was
- 13:48Speaker 1: gonna say, Paul to your point, because I think when
- 13:51Speaker 1: you look at the Jets and a lot of things
- 13:52Speaker 1: that you talk about that you wish the Patriots would
- 13:55Speaker 1: kind of do of just just go with the just
- 13:58Speaker 1: be the youngest defense in the league. You know, the
- 14:00Speaker 1: Jets have done that, and I think if you look
- 14:01Speaker 1: at the Jets, you know, I don't want to put
- 14:03Speaker 1: words in your mouth, but I think, you know, if
- 14:05Speaker 1: we look at the Jets, if you were thinking of
- 14:07Speaker 1: a traditional football team building plan, that that maybe that's
- 14:10Speaker 1: a little bit more in line of what we wish
- 14:13Speaker 1: the Patriots were kind of doing. Oh he's getting just
- 14:15Speaker 1: watching the divorce court like some believe it's so bad.
- 14:21Speaker 1: But I would just say, and you know, we're fan analysis,
- 14:24Speaker 1: you know, we are on the outside. But but I
- 14:26Speaker 1: think just from the pieces that they've acquired and from
- 14:29Speaker 1: the steps that they took last year, and they took
- 14:30Speaker 1: some lumps, but you can see in success how this
- 14:35Speaker 1: might pay off for them. Yeah. I mean, obviously you
- 14:37Speaker 1: need to hit like you know, we can sit here
- 14:39Speaker 1: and say Garrett Wilson and Jermaine Johnson and Sauce. You know,
- 14:43Speaker 1: but what happens if Sauce is uh like Akuda that
- 14:47Speaker 1: the I think the Lions took third overall like three
- 14:50Speaker 1: or four years ago. Yeah, who's been kind of black, right,
- 14:53Speaker 1: you know, versus well, then you know you're talking about something.
- 14:59Speaker 1: You got something, You've got a little something going. Yeah yeah,
- 15:02Speaker 1: And I mean, you know, same thing with the Dolphins.
- 15:04Speaker 1: I think they're They're an interesting one. And you know,
- 15:06Speaker 1: to your point bringing wanting to hear that just because
- 15:09Speaker 1: the Dolphins have really kind of had the Patriots number
- 15:11Speaker 1: for the most part over the last and again they're
- 15:14Speaker 1: telling you they think the Dolphins are a little bit
- 15:16Speaker 1: better than the Patriots because the Dolphins are only plus
- 15:18Speaker 1: six hundred to sweep the Bills, not plus eight hundred.
- 15:21Speaker 1: So I mean, I think that the Dolphins. Again, I
- 15:26Speaker 1: know it's simplistic. What is two we're gonna do? Is
- 15:29Speaker 1: two we're gonna play seventeen games? I don't think so,
- 15:32Speaker 1: because I think he's I think he's a small little guy.
- 15:34Speaker 1: I think he's gonna get I think he's gonna get broke.
- 15:36Speaker 1: As they say. You know, I think he can play.
- 15:39Speaker 1: I don't think he's without ability, but I think he's limited.
- 15:43Speaker 1: I think he needs to play a certain way, and
- 15:45Speaker 1: I think he's small, so I think he's going to
- 15:47Speaker 1: get hurt. Yeah, like that's what I'm saying. I think
- 15:49Speaker 1: he needs to play a certain way. I think there's
- 15:51Speaker 1: a lot of similarities between the Patriots in the Dolphins
- 15:54Speaker 1: in that regard. I think they need to be getting
- 15:57Speaker 1: the ball out quick, you know, slants, uh, you know,
- 16:00Speaker 1: timing stuff, you know, on like on time on platform. Yeah,
- 16:06Speaker 1: if if two was running around to see that's where
- 16:09Speaker 1: I missed on two. I thought Tooa was a more
- 16:11Speaker 1: athletic guy at Alabama than he is. I think he is. Um.
- 16:16Speaker 1: I don't think he's a bad athlete, but I don't
- 16:18Speaker 1: think he's I don't think he's got much more mobility
- 16:21Speaker 1: than than Mac. Yeah, got humbled a little in the NFL.
- 16:24Speaker 1: I mean, yeah, the elite to the Alabama. So yeah,
- 16:27Speaker 1: I mean, you know a couple of things I was
- 16:29Speaker 1: I was considering. I saw Nikovich talking about Mike McDaniel
- 16:33Speaker 1: a little bit kind of you know, I mean, I
- 16:34Speaker 1: kind of like Mike McDaniel's goofiness. It's kind of a
- 16:36Speaker 1: breath of fresh air. Um. But I also there's two
- 16:40Speaker 1: things I'm kind of having mind with the Dolphins. Is that,
- 16:42Speaker 1: you know, can Mike McDaniel figure out to a Tyreek waddle?
- 16:47Speaker 1: Can he put something together that works for that group? Um?
- 16:51Speaker 1: I think you know, part of the Patriots struggles could
- 16:53Speaker 1: be connected a little bit with with Brian Flores being
- 16:55Speaker 1: there and just you know, the team playing more him
- 16:57Speaker 1: knowing the Patriots all that kind of stuff. But I
- 16:59Speaker 1: think that's absolutely in play. But at the same time,
- 17:02Speaker 1: the other thing I think about is how good the
- 17:04Speaker 1: forty nine ers looked two years ago here against the Patriots,
- 17:07Speaker 1: and how the Patriots had no answers just for that.
- 17:12Speaker 1: But but you know, Ken McDaniel reproduce that here. And
- 17:15Speaker 1: and one more point to bring up is that you know,
- 17:17Speaker 1: McDaniel's never called plays either, so you know, I think
- 17:19Speaker 1: that's something you know, we're kind of dealing with. Certainly,
- 17:22Speaker 1: he has an intimate knowledge of the Shanahan offense and
- 17:25Speaker 1: the wide zones and the play action and all that stuff.
- 17:27Speaker 1: But you know, we had Debo to work with, so
- 17:29Speaker 1: you know, how how is he able to carry what
- 17:31Speaker 1: they did in San Francisco. Can he reproduce it with
- 17:34Speaker 1: tua um and and and do something similar to to
- 17:37Speaker 1: the Patriots. That's why I wonder what direction that rivalry
- 17:40Speaker 1: is going to go, because I think that's really you know,
- 17:42Speaker 1: if you're talking about the Patriots being on the cusp
- 17:44Speaker 1: of the playoffs, these are the games she got there,
- 17:47Speaker 1: you know, especially in me the Jets, but the Dolphins,
- 17:48Speaker 1: those are the dog fights. Everybody you know, t you're
- 17:53Speaker 1: not like privy to our our award winning pretty and
- 17:55Speaker 1: postgame shows. But on opening Day, you know, they lose
- 17:59Speaker 1: a game they had every opportunity to win against Miami,
- 18:03Speaker 1: and everybody's like, well, you know, if that's what we're
- 18:06Speaker 1: gonna get from, you know, Matt Jones, and you know,
- 18:08Speaker 1: we're gonna be all right, Like and I'm thinking, like,
- 18:11Speaker 1: he had the ball like inside the fifteen yard line
- 18:14Speaker 1: in the last three minutes of the game with a
- 18:16Speaker 1: chance to kick an easy field goal and win against
- 18:19Speaker 1: the division opponent, and you didn't. That's like you should
- 18:21Speaker 1: be pissed. Yeah, Like, that's the kind of game that's
- 18:24Speaker 1: a two that's a two two games swing, it's a
- 18:27Speaker 1: full pointer in the NHL, you know, It's like it's
- 18:29Speaker 1: a game you had one and you you let it
- 18:33Speaker 1: slip away, And those are the kinds of games that
- 18:36Speaker 1: really come back and haunt you. And you know, listen,
- 18:38Speaker 1: they ended up making the playoffs, so it didn't keep
- 18:41Speaker 1: them out of the playoffs. But if they win that game,
- 18:43Speaker 1: do they win the division? Maybe? Yeah? You know, I mean,
- 18:48Speaker 1: I know, it's you can't the butterfly ef fact. You
- 18:50Speaker 1: can't just say, well, just make them eleven and six
- 18:53Speaker 1: and they win the division. Like, you can't do that.
- 18:55Speaker 1: I get that, But that put them behind the eight
- 18:58Speaker 1: ball right from the start in the division. Um, you know,
- 19:03Speaker 1: it gave him a division loss, and obviously the you know,
- 19:05Speaker 1: you're playing catchup and you go down there you lose again. Yeah,
- 19:08Speaker 1: and now here you go again with the opener this
- 19:10Speaker 1: year and similar kind of thing. I mean almost put
- 19:13Speaker 1: it back to twenty twenties opener with Cam Newton when
- 19:16Speaker 1: he kind of felt like we had something new and
- 19:18Speaker 1: that that was a little bit why they got him,
- 19:20Speaker 1: you know, like the Miami just seemed like not really
- 19:21Speaker 1: ready for the Cam Newton. I'd much rather play them
- 19:24Speaker 1: here earlier year than than there earlier. Right, And so
- 19:27Speaker 1: what is you know, what is Mike McDaniel going to
- 19:29Speaker 1: have down there with Tyreek Hill with all those new pieces,
- 19:32Speaker 1: what what's that all gonna look like. He's had plenty
- 19:34Speaker 1: of time to think. It's weird that it's like three
- 19:35Speaker 1: years in a row they opened with Miami. It's kind
- 19:37Speaker 1: of an odd oddity, especially when they you know, ended
- 19:41Speaker 1: twenty nineteen. I mean, obviously, there have been plenty of
- 19:43Speaker 1: interesting games over the last few years with the Dolphins,
- 19:45Speaker 1: going back to to the Miracle and you know, the gronk,
- 19:49Speaker 1: that whole that whole thing that was that was um terrible,
- 19:52Speaker 1: all right, Paul. But then you know the last game
- 19:55Speaker 1: of twenty nineteen, losing the Fitzpatrick here to the Dolphins.
- 19:58Speaker 1: You know, in some ways I thought that twenty when
- 20:00Speaker 1: the opener, hey you can kind of write the ship
- 20:01Speaker 1: a little bit. You blew it against Fitzpatrick and the
- 20:03Speaker 1: opener last year. But obviously by the end of the
- 20:06Speaker 1: year that didn't really seem to matter as much. But
- 20:08Speaker 1: a lot of focus on the division. I mean, I
- 20:10Speaker 1: think that's I mean, that's and I know people are
- 20:13Speaker 1: kind of nervous because Buffalo is really asserted itself as
- 20:18Speaker 1: as the front runner, but you do have to find
- 20:21Speaker 1: a way to deal with Miami and the Jets and not,
- 20:23Speaker 1: you know, not give away games to those teams. And
- 20:26Speaker 1: I'm not saying like that mean you have to go
- 20:28Speaker 1: four and oh in those games, but you can't do
- 20:31Speaker 1: what you did in the opener last year, because I
- 20:32Speaker 1: do think that Patriots. I think the Patriots slightly all
- 20:36Speaker 1: played Miami and the opener last year and probably deserve
- 20:39Speaker 1: to win the game. Now, the one down there they
- 20:41Speaker 1: got dominated. Yeah, Miami dominated them down there. But to
- 20:45Speaker 1: you a point about Flores, I wonder how much that
- 20:51Speaker 1: sort of edge in preparation contributed to their success, because
- 20:55Speaker 1: what did they win under floors, like four out of
- 20:58Speaker 1: four six? I think yeah, yeah, I mean, and one
- 21:03Speaker 1: of the losses was like the second game of his
- 21:05Speaker 1: tenure when they had completely strip knowing what you know now,
- 21:08Speaker 1: they completely stripped it bare on purpose to lose in
- 21:11Speaker 1: that forty three to nothing game. Going back to Buffalo,
- 21:14Speaker 1: do you think we're past the point of questioning whether
- 21:17Speaker 1: Buffalo can handle success? Are we passed that? I mean,
- 21:20Speaker 1: I'm past that. Yeah, I mean last year they're kind
- 21:22Speaker 1: of young team on the rise, but I think you know,
- 21:24Speaker 1: they're They're a super Bowl favorite for a lot of teams.
- 21:26Speaker 1: You know, it's I don't know if they're going to
- 21:28Speaker 1: win the super Bowl, but I am passed doubting Josh Allen.
- 21:33Speaker 1: I am passed doubting Sean McDermott, I am passed doubting
- 21:36Speaker 1: Buffalo as a contender. Now, Listen, every team deals with
- 21:41Speaker 1: injuries and things happen, and no team is immune to
- 21:44Speaker 1: terrible losses. They had at least two terrible losses last year.
- 21:48Speaker 1: Pittsburgh at home to start the season, and that Jacksonville
- 21:52Speaker 1: loss was absolutely inexplicable. Yeah, and those are the points
- 21:55Speaker 1: where you're saying, oh, they're not ready, they're not ready,
- 21:57Speaker 1: But it only matters what The only matters what they
- 22:00Speaker 1: if they're ready to beat you, Like I don't, I
- 22:03Speaker 1: don't like is any Patriot fan gonna say, well, they're
- 22:07Speaker 1: not good enough to win the super Bowl. But they
- 22:09Speaker 1: finished ahead of us in the division, so you know
- 22:11Speaker 1: they stink. They also bounced back to they lost White Corner, Yeah,
- 22:16Speaker 1: patch that hole pretty quickly. Yeah, I mean even the
- 22:18Speaker 1: comeback game against the Box they lost. But like that
- 22:21Speaker 1: team just fights the hole. I think that's when they
- 22:23Speaker 1: found themselves yea, the second half against Tampa Bay. I
- 22:25Speaker 1: looked at I remember, I you know, you know, you know,
- 22:28Speaker 1: I come over for the debriefs on Mondays at it
- 22:31Speaker 1: Deuces Deuce's office, and I said, uh oh, and I
- 22:36Speaker 1: know they lost the game, but I think they found
- 22:38Speaker 1: it that day and they were a different team after that. Yeah. Absolutely,
- 22:42Speaker 1: And I mean what was the score? I mean I
- 22:44Speaker 1: remember thinking early on, like my putting my Patriots fan
- 22:47Speaker 1: hat down twenty three half or something like that, or
- 22:51Speaker 1: twenty I don't know, but they out three scores and
- 22:54Speaker 1: they ended up tying the game and they twenty seven. Yeah,
- 22:58Speaker 1: that was the final I think. I think they may
- 23:00Speaker 1: have been down like twenty four to three at the half,
- 23:03Speaker 1: but twenty four to six at the seventeen points in
- 23:05Speaker 1: the fourth. Yeah. I remember watching that and they had
- 23:08Speaker 1: all I mean, they actually got very unlucky not to
- 23:11Speaker 1: win the game. They got a couple of really questionable
- 23:13Speaker 1: calls down the stretch. You know, Brady was the quarterback
- 23:16Speaker 1: of the team, so we're not, what are you gonna do?
- 23:18Speaker 1: You know, he's gonna make a push. We're used to those,
- 23:21Speaker 1: yeah we are. But I do think that they sort
- 23:23Speaker 1: of said okay, we went on the road, well, we
- 23:26Speaker 1: were at our lowest points the super We fell behind
- 23:29Speaker 1: by three scores and we we still got the game
- 23:33Speaker 1: to overtime and had every opportunity to win it. This
- 23:36Speaker 1: is who we are. And then I don't think they
- 23:38Speaker 1: lost again until it was that after the wined game too. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 23:41Speaker 1: that's why I said that they went into that game
- 23:43Speaker 1: with their absolute lowest and by the media all week too,
- 23:47Speaker 1: yeah called soft everything, right, which I remember player and
- 23:51Speaker 1: hide after the game, and I just didn't I didn't
- 23:53Speaker 1: get it. I didn't understand what they were. Like, they
- 23:55Speaker 1: played a game in really like abnormal condition that had
- 24:01Speaker 1: to be played in a totally different way. And they's
- 24:03Speaker 1: the cape scorer that get like fourteen to ten or
- 24:05Speaker 1: something like that, right, Like, what do we like? What
- 24:09Speaker 1: was the difference in the game, Like it was all this, Well,
- 24:12Speaker 1: they got bullied the Harris run. I mean a couple
- 24:14Speaker 1: of big plays, you know, there was one big play
- 24:17Speaker 1: really there was the long touchdown run was the difference
- 24:19Speaker 1: in the game. And I just didn't get it, and
- 24:23Speaker 1: they were upset about it and they handled it the
- 24:26Speaker 1: right way. You know. It's the whole thing, like we
- 24:28Speaker 1: talked about here, you know, after the Colts game, Well,
- 24:33Speaker 1: we have one of two ways to go, and I
- 24:35Speaker 1: know which way I'm going, said Matthew Slater. You know,
- 24:39Speaker 1: but you wonder you know, the Bills absolutely had that
- 24:42Speaker 1: they had one of two ways to go. They could
- 24:44Speaker 1: have gone in the toilet and gone behind you know,
- 24:47Speaker 1: twenty four to nothing or whatever it was at the
- 24:49Speaker 1: half and just said, well, we're just not as good
- 24:52Speaker 1: as we thought we were. It's not our year. But
- 24:54Speaker 1: they didn't. Yeah, I mean, I think it's a chance
- 24:57Speaker 1: to this year for Josh Allen with Dable leaving to
- 25:00Speaker 1: really you know, cement his place as his own guy.
- 25:04Speaker 1: I mean, and I think you're always kind of initially
- 25:06Speaker 1: connected to the offensive coordinator, certainly Brady with with Charlie
- 25:09Speaker 1: Weiss early on, and then we're able to trans transition
- 25:12Speaker 1: to Josh and then and to Billy O and there
- 25:16Speaker 1: was never really any you know, drop off. And that's
- 25:18Speaker 1: what I like about it from the Buffalo side is
- 25:21Speaker 1: that he it's the same thing, Like he's going to
- 25:23Speaker 1: have h Ken Dorsey, right, so he's going to have
- 25:27Speaker 1: the same system. He's going to have a familiar voice
- 25:30Speaker 1: who's already used to now the I think the question
- 25:33Speaker 1: will be Ken Dorsey rain him in the way Dabel
- 25:36Speaker 1: did when he needs to be because you know, those
- 25:39Speaker 1: guys can get sometimes they get a little bit ahead
- 25:41Speaker 1: of themselves. And I think Josh Allen definitely has that
- 25:45Speaker 1: potential to sort of get a little wild with the
- 25:48Speaker 1: ball and take some unnecessary risks. Yeah, so he's gonna
- 25:51Speaker 1: need Dorsey to make sure he keeps his foot on
- 25:53Speaker 1: his throat. And yeah, I sure seemed like Dabel knew
- 25:56Speaker 1: all the right buttons to push. I mean, how how
- 25:58Speaker 1: as patriot patriots observers and how can you not say
- 26:02Speaker 1: that based on what he did? But um, but you know,
- 26:05Speaker 1: how is how are things going to change? And you
- 26:07Speaker 1: know what do they feel like they need to do
- 26:09Speaker 1: to get over the edge? And I feel like they're
- 26:11Speaker 1: a team that there's not much you really need to do.
- 26:13Speaker 1: You just kind of within the moment, keep doing, keep
- 26:15Speaker 1: building the systems and and like you're doing around Josh Allen.
- 26:18Speaker 1: But just comes down to a couple of plays for them, right,
- 26:20Speaker 1: I mean that's thirteen seconds. I mean execution at the end.
- 26:24Speaker 1: How do you I mean that's what it was hard
- 26:26Speaker 1: being a Patriots fan not hard. But you know, like
- 26:28Speaker 1: you knew going into eight oh nine, ten, eleven, twelve,
- 26:32Speaker 1: all those years in the middle where it's gonna come
- 26:34Speaker 1: down to a couple of plays in the AFC Championship,
- 26:36Speaker 1: you know, and then the Super Bowl, and that's really
- 26:38Speaker 1: what what's gonna kind of define our seasons. So I
- 26:40Speaker 1: feel like that's where you know, Buffalo is now. But
- 26:43Speaker 1: with the Patriots not meeting them till later in the season,
- 26:45Speaker 1: I guess we'll have some time to wait. So guys,
- 26:49Speaker 1: we have some emails coming in and uh, I'm not
- 26:50Speaker 1: sure read thank you. Oh I love it. I walked
- 26:53Speaker 1: right into that, didn't I. Um, I'm gonna start with
- 26:56Speaker 1: some football. It's just because we're on football, and then
- 26:57Speaker 1: I'll move to some of the some of the ones
- 26:59Speaker 1: like olden retrievers in a game. I like that we're
- 27:02Speaker 1: starting with football. Yeah, try to get it out of
- 27:04Speaker 1: the way. Well, who knows, you know, you go around
- 27:06Speaker 1: the age plenty plenty to talk about. Uh, there's one
- 27:10Speaker 1: from Richard from Ohio with Vince hill Fork going into
- 27:16Speaker 1: the Patriot's Hall of Fame and being eligible for the
- 27:18Speaker 1: Pro Football Hall of Fame this year. Do you think
- 27:20Speaker 1: he makes it in and if so, when I think
- 27:22Speaker 1: they will fork over a gold jacket will Fork, I
- 27:26Speaker 1: got it. That was an eric they will fork over.
- 27:29Speaker 1: I got I thank you, Paul will Fork. I think
- 27:33Speaker 1: he's got a shot. Yeah, yeah, I think he's got
- 27:35Speaker 1: a shot. I think that this era of Patriots success
- 27:39Speaker 1: is gonna bolster the resumes for some of these guys,
- 27:43Speaker 1: and he has a shot to be one of them.
- 27:44Speaker 1: It's taught. I mean, we talk about Seymour getting in
- 27:46Speaker 1: without all all of the stats, Um, you know, how
- 27:50Speaker 1: do you make that case? Like, how do you you
- 27:52Speaker 1: know it's it's like one of those you need to
- 27:55Speaker 1: feature an offensive lineman, like you need Matt Burke or
- 27:58Speaker 1: somebody from like the Ravens to come in and say. Well.
- 28:00Speaker 1: I do think that Belichick's sort of hands on approach
- 28:05Speaker 1: with those guys. He did it for Seymour, he did
- 28:07Speaker 1: it for Wilfork, and I think that helps him because
- 28:11Speaker 1: I think that he is as respected a voice on
- 28:13Speaker 1: the history of the game is anybody in the league.
- 28:16Speaker 1: So I'm not telling you he's a lock for the
- 28:18Speaker 1: Hall of Fame, but I do think he eventually will
- 28:20Speaker 1: get there. Might take some time, definitely not first ballot
- 28:23Speaker 1: and not definitely, there's a lot. There's a lot out there.
- 28:26Speaker 1: I mean, and you know, tie it to the receivers
- 28:28Speaker 1: and stuff too, though, Like it's it's just gonna get
- 28:30Speaker 1: harder and harder for these guys because the numbers are
- 28:32Speaker 1: through the roof. The receivers are, you know, getting all
- 28:35Speaker 1: this attention, and you know, if you're if you're talking
- 28:37Speaker 1: ten fifteen years down the line, it seems like it's
- 28:40Speaker 1: just going to be all wide receivers waiting to get in.
- 28:42Speaker 1: I think with Wilfork, you don't really like have many
- 28:44Speaker 1: threat many players like that anymore in the league, like
- 28:46Speaker 1: just a big interior. I mean, look at Aaron Donald,
- 28:48Speaker 1: like he's not like big and bulky like Wilfork was
- 28:51Speaker 1: just a dying breeder player. Right, Well, that's so easy
- 28:54Speaker 1: about Donald is just every snap you watch it, you
- 28:57Speaker 1: know where he is. And I mean with Wilfork, he
- 28:58Speaker 1: certainly had those games and always bring up the two
- 29:01Speaker 1: thousand eleven AFC Championship against I mean, he brought it
- 29:03Speaker 1: up as one of his best games as well. But
- 29:05Speaker 1: you know that's one of the only times where it's like,
- 29:07Speaker 1: my god, he's so dominant. Um, you know, some of
- 29:10Speaker 1: those interceptions that he had chargers hard not to look at,
- 29:14Speaker 1: like the slow motion of just his whole body running
- 29:17Speaker 1: down the field. The Bills hit or was it they
- 29:19Speaker 1: threw like a five yards like Donald Donald Jones. I
- 29:22Speaker 1: think was killed that guyland landing on top of him.
- 29:26Speaker 1: Very special, Claire writes in Oh do you want a
- 29:28Speaker 1: low marine? Hello, Court, I've always wanted to do that. Girl.
- 29:32Speaker 1: She's wishing us all a happy Fourth of July. So
- 29:34Speaker 1: that's very nice, Thank you, Claire, And train Nixon training
- 29:38Speaker 1: with Matt How many wide receivers can you envision the
- 29:40Speaker 1: Patriots taking on the fifty three man roster? Do you
- 29:43Speaker 1: believe it will be? It may be a totally two
- 29:45Speaker 1: tight end situation because of wide receiver depth. Claire, of course,
- 29:49Speaker 1: working in the tight ends some tough decisions, for sure.
- 29:54Speaker 1: I mean talk about ASSISI against Trey Nixon. I mean
- 29:57Speaker 1: I think they'll keep three tight ends to Yeah, I
- 30:00Speaker 1: do too. I don't think those decisions you now just
- 30:04Speaker 1: like you're filling out the bottom of your roster. Yeah.
- 30:06Speaker 1: But I but I think there's there's something that's being
- 30:08Speaker 1: said about the overall you know, just depth at wide
- 30:11Speaker 1: receiver and the number of guys that they got. I mean,
- 30:14Speaker 1: he said last show, they didn't really lose anybody. They
- 30:16Speaker 1: brought guys in. And you also can potentially save, you know,
- 30:20Speaker 1: like they had Jacob Johnson last year, So you can
- 30:23Speaker 1: you can keep you know, Assi, or you know, with
- 30:26Speaker 1: any idea of like Jono Smith. Maybe you know, if
- 30:30Speaker 1: they have to use you know, time Montgomery could get
- 30:33Speaker 1: a spot like that, you know, depending on what you
- 30:35Speaker 1: consider time Montgomery. Yeah, right, that's that's where he falls
- 30:39Speaker 1: into the wide receiver because I think you have i mean,
- 30:43Speaker 1: barring something unforeseen. This is why I said, like you know,
- 30:46Speaker 1: on Tuesday, the surprise cut thing, I picked a wide
- 30:49Speaker 1: receiver because if it's Parker Agalore born Myers in Thornton, right, conceivably,
- 30:59Speaker 1: like I think they're all locks. So now you're talking,
- 31:04Speaker 1: where's Montgomery? Does he count as six? I told Mike
- 31:07Speaker 1: after the draft that was a confusing signing, Like after
- 31:10Speaker 1: the draft, because he brought in the two running backs,
- 31:12Speaker 1: three running backs, he got the receiver like he kind
- 31:14Speaker 1: of seems like the odd man out. Yeah, I wonder
- 31:16Speaker 1: if they thought of him as a combination of James White,
- 31:19Speaker 1: not knowing James White was going to be you know,
- 31:22Speaker 1: ready to go. And Brandon Bolden as you know, sort
- 31:27Speaker 1: of a guy who could do a lot. And I
- 31:28Speaker 1: think they do like the idea of Montgomery More as
- 31:32Speaker 1: a receiver. I mean that's what we've seen and I'm
- 31:34Speaker 1: just going by, you know, one of these things, like
- 31:36Speaker 1: go by what they say. He can run receiver routes. Yeah,
- 31:41Speaker 1: and he can also serve out of the backfield, which
- 31:43Speaker 1: he's done a lot. And I think he'll play on
- 31:45Speaker 1: special teams. So depending on how you envisioned them all,
- 31:48Speaker 1: I think ASIASI, you know, Dalton Keene, I can't you know,
- 31:53Speaker 1: factor in because I just have never seen the guy
- 31:55Speaker 1: on the field, you know, for any line of time.
- 31:59Speaker 1: You know, it's what the willful thing he and I did.
- 32:02Speaker 1: I thought, I remember this. He did make it to
- 32:03Speaker 1: the semifinal round. So in the mix. Yeah, he's in
- 32:07Speaker 1: the mix, and I think once you get in the mix,
- 32:09Speaker 1: you have a really good shot of making it. And Bill,
- 32:12Speaker 1: like I said, you know, Bill sort of throwing his
- 32:16Speaker 1: you know, his letter out there for him. I think
- 32:19Speaker 1: that's big for him. Yeah, let's take one more email
- 32:22Speaker 1: here before we go to the phones that are stacking up.
- 32:25Speaker 1: As Fred would say, so given the Pats will as
- 32:28Speaker 1: of today have this second most cap space. Next year
- 32:31Speaker 1: is this year. Just get through it and see what
- 32:33Speaker 1: happens year. Not saying it's a wasted year, but this
- 32:35Speaker 1: looks like an eight and eight team That was from
- 32:39Speaker 1: Tony got a similar question in the mail bag this week,
- 32:41Speaker 1: and I mean, I understand the concerns when you look
- 32:46Speaker 1: at some of the you know, defensive roster, the turnover
- 32:48Speaker 1: that's happened, what they brought in, you know, some of
- 32:51Speaker 1: the concerns on the coaching staff. But you know, I
- 32:54Speaker 1: continue to think that they they don't really look at
- 32:56Speaker 1: I mean, Bill Belichick, how many more years does he have.
- 32:58Speaker 1: I don't think he has a year to say let's
- 33:00Speaker 1: burn it. If he did, it was twenty twenty. I
- 33:02Speaker 1: think that was the year you kind of burned. But
- 33:05Speaker 1: I think they're going into it thinking, hey, we're gonna
- 33:08Speaker 1: do the best we can. We're gonna pull it together.
- 33:09Speaker 1: We'll probably have some holes. Can continue to try to
- 33:12Speaker 1: fill those through, whether it's you know, trades street, free agents,
- 33:15Speaker 1: that kind of thing, you know, continue to try to
- 33:17Speaker 1: turn things over. But I think there's they're going for
- 33:20Speaker 1: it like they always do. I don't think that there's
- 33:21Speaker 1: ever a sense of like, now, we just don't have
- 33:23Speaker 1: it this year, Like you know, I don't think that's
- 33:25Speaker 1: in their mindset. I think there are certainly holes and
- 33:28Speaker 1: reasons to say this looks like an eight and eight roster,
- 33:30Speaker 1: but I don't think they see it that way. I
- 33:32Speaker 1: think they see it as, yeah, we got some questions,
- 33:34Speaker 1: but we got ways to try to figure them out
- 33:36Speaker 1: and ways to you know, maybe foster competition to bring
- 33:39Speaker 1: improvement from those spots. I don't know if it's gonna work,
- 33:42Speaker 1: but I don't see them burning in the year off.
- 33:44Speaker 1: Also next year, like we have all that cap space,
- 33:46Speaker 1: but you're looking at the free agents for next year,
- 33:48Speaker 1: I know they're gonna be some cuts, but there's nobody
- 33:50Speaker 1: that really moves the needle. Yeah. I mean Terry mccollins
- 33:53Speaker 1: there and he just said, you go Orlando Brown Junior,
- 33:55Speaker 1: DJ Humphreeze JJ Watt's gonna be what thirty six? So yeah,
- 33:59Speaker 1: what who was I looking at? Somebody was asking me, um, shoot,
- 34:04Speaker 1: there was a couple of defensive players that then, because
- 34:06Speaker 1: that's where I was kind of looking. If a free
- 34:08Speaker 1: agent next year, if you're going to spend maybe a
- 34:09Speaker 1: wide receiver because you're losing a bunch of guys. But
- 34:12Speaker 1: I really think next year is going to be we
- 34:14Speaker 1: gotta get a pass rusher office that Jude on. We
- 34:16Speaker 1: gotta get more pass rush, we gotta get more guys
- 34:18Speaker 1: up front. Um, you know, so maybe maybe that's a
- 34:21Speaker 1: consideration somebody coming off the edge. Let's go to the
- 34:25Speaker 1: phones here if I can figure out how to instantly
- 34:28Speaker 1: drop this person. There you got, there you go, that's
- 34:30Speaker 1: right where you need it to be. There we go,
- 34:31Speaker 1: We got how you got? You get? Bill? Hello? Bill,
- 34:34Speaker 1: you're on Patriots Unfiltered. What is your question please? I
- 34:37Speaker 1: have a couple of quick questions. Welcome from fla our
- 34:40Speaker 1: country in Oklahoma. I wanted to find out if you thought,
- 34:43Speaker 1: with the d ability for the Patriots to continue to rehire,
- 34:50Speaker 1: if you ever thought Laura's would ever be back on
- 34:52Speaker 1: the staff. M I mean I take them back. I don't.
- 34:55Speaker 1: I don't know how all that stuff played out in
- 34:57Speaker 1: the spring in terms of you know, the lawsuit and
- 35:00Speaker 1: you know him bringing the text into that. UM, I
- 35:03Speaker 1: gotta be honest, I think he'll be a head coach
- 35:05Speaker 1: next year. Yeah, that'd be my feeling on it. But
- 35:07Speaker 1: I don't. I mean, I don't know of any reason
- 35:10Speaker 1: why he you know, you wouldn't be back specifically other
- 35:14Speaker 1: than what Mike just alluded to. But I mean, how
- 35:16Speaker 1: could you not take them based on what he did
- 35:18Speaker 1: the one year he was and how could he's been
- 35:21Speaker 1: against you? And the other question I had? Sorry, glit, No,
- 35:26Speaker 1: that's it. You got it. With Cup and Donald getting
- 35:32Speaker 1: these huge extensions and with it seems like LA is
- 35:36Speaker 1: just printing money right now. And I know a lot
- 35:38Speaker 1: of teams that go to success have that ability to
- 35:40Speaker 1: do that, but it does seem like there's the ownership
- 35:44Speaker 1: of these teams has started frontloading these contracts recently in
- 35:49Speaker 1: lieu of trying to keep from getting into the salary
- 35:52Speaker 1: salary cap or luxury attacks. Is is that a Is
- 35:56Speaker 1: that a trend that you see happening? And do you
- 35:59Speaker 1: think with the leadership we have in place, that would
- 36:02Speaker 1: ever become an issue become an opportunity? I don't really understand.
- 36:09Speaker 1: I think I think you could spend I mean, there
- 36:12Speaker 1: are no luxury taxes, like you can spend what you know,
- 36:16Speaker 1: basically what you want. You just have to structure within
- 36:18Speaker 1: the salary cap. And there's a lot of different mechanisms
- 36:22Speaker 1: that allow you to do that. I think it's hard
- 36:23Speaker 1: to do it every year. I think it's hard to
- 36:26Speaker 1: spend over the cap every year. And then there are
- 36:28Speaker 1: you know, should I say there's no luxury, there are
- 36:31Speaker 1: restrictions in terms of time periods and you have to
- 36:34Speaker 1: spend there's a floor too, you have to spend a
- 36:36Speaker 1: certain amount um, you know, cash over cap spending and stuff.
- 36:39Speaker 1: But I think it's up to the individual teams is
- 36:41Speaker 1: how they want to do that. They're also in a
- 36:43Speaker 1: wind that window. So yeah, like I think that that's
- 36:45Speaker 1: all different. Right, Well, thanks Bill, Well, thank you. Uh well,
- 36:50Speaker 1: I was just gonna say, I mean, you know, two
- 36:52Speaker 1: years ago you had a bunch of cap space to
- 36:54Speaker 1: spend on free agency. Next year, somebody you know rode
- 36:57Speaker 1: in saying you're gonna have a bunch of caps fas.
- 36:58Speaker 1: It's like, that's fine. I'd like to have the players
- 37:01Speaker 1: to give that money too, you know. And I think
- 37:03Speaker 1: that's part of what we're talking about right now with
- 37:05Speaker 1: the Patriots is just that they don't have those guys
- 37:08Speaker 1: right now that they want to extend in and hopefully
- 37:09Speaker 1: this year they find some. Um. I think that's a
- 37:12Speaker 1: big part of this year. Let's go to the videotape,
- 37:15Speaker 1: Patty and agwan Patty, how are you up? Guys? Just hosting?
- 37:21Speaker 1: You know, I don't know this is this is hard.
- 37:22Speaker 1: You gotta keep the train moving, You gotta keep everybody involved.
- 37:25Speaker 1: You're dreading adult silence, and I don't know what to say.
- 37:29Speaker 1: So what do you got? You're doing great too, don't
- 37:34Speaker 1: be so down on yourself. So I wanted to bring
- 37:36Speaker 1: up something about Josh Allen at just the question for
- 37:38Speaker 1: you guys a mac jones um all like, like most
- 37:43Speaker 1: of the Patriots nation, not last year, but maybe the
- 37:46Speaker 1: first couple of years in the league. I didn't think
- 37:48Speaker 1: Allen was going to be all that great, but year
- 37:50Speaker 1: three and beyond, he's proved me wrong. The only thing
- 37:54Speaker 1: I don't see with him being sustainable is he kind
- 37:58Speaker 1: of has that that Cam Newton approach, like the devil
- 38:01Speaker 1: make care when he's running the ball like he's he
- 38:04Speaker 1: treats his body like he's a linebacker. And I think after,
- 38:07Speaker 1: you know, if he takes one too many hits with
- 38:10Speaker 1: that sort of approach, yeah he's not gonna He's not
- 38:12Speaker 1: gonna last long. Like back, he needs to learn how
- 38:15Speaker 1: to slide and just you know, not not treat his
- 38:19Speaker 1: body like a frigging battering ram. But he's unbelievable word
- 38:24Speaker 1: for Cam Newton for a decade before it caught up
- 38:26Speaker 1: to him. So yeah, just didn't work from against Jonathan
- 38:29Speaker 1: Jones a couple of years ago. That was the only
- 38:31Speaker 1: one the quote unquote enemy. I mean, he is so
- 38:33Speaker 1: much fun to watch, it's unfortunate. Hi, Max, do you
- 38:38Speaker 1: guys think that? Um, And I'll precace this question was saying,
- 38:42Speaker 1: if the team gives him or should say, Bhil gives
- 38:45Speaker 1: him a little bit more freedom to change places of
- 38:48Speaker 1: the line of scrimmage, can you see him being like
- 38:51Speaker 1: a legitimate having a legitimate breakout season. Ah. I mean,
- 38:57Speaker 1: I don't know if it would depend on just having
- 38:59Speaker 1: him be able to change plays, you know. I mean,
- 39:02Speaker 1: I think it's more about just everything the whole process
- 39:07Speaker 1: from the beginning to you know, I think we talked
- 39:09Speaker 1: a lot about I'm gonna I'm gonna let you go Patty. Um,
- 39:13Speaker 1: you know, just understanding the play call, getting everybody in
- 39:15Speaker 1: the right position, no one being aware of the play clock.
- 39:18Speaker 1: You know, just some of those little things in the
- 39:21Speaker 1: mechanics of the position that he you know, at times
- 39:23Speaker 1: he would just have brain farts. And I mean I
- 39:24Speaker 1: think it's understandable, like an inability to change plays. Last year,
- 39:28Speaker 1: did you see any signs of that or did you
- 39:30Speaker 1: see a lot of like, um, you know, adjustments, you know,
- 39:34Speaker 1: after they broke the huddle. I don't really recall specifically
- 39:37Speaker 1: remail feeling like he was changing plays left and right.
- 39:40Speaker 1: I mean, I'm sure he probably did. I just don't
- 39:42Speaker 1: recall ever hearing you know, we were in a bad
- 39:44Speaker 1: call and we couldn't get out of it, right, I
- 39:46Speaker 1: don't recall hearing that once. Yeah. Yeah? And how and
- 39:49Speaker 1: how does it feed into you know, the new coaching situation,
- 39:51Speaker 1: the play calling. Um, you know, how much have the
- 39:54Speaker 1: rains been taken off Mac? How much is this max
- 39:56Speaker 1: offense now? As much as you know we want to
- 39:58Speaker 1: focus on offensive quarter? I mean, how much of another
- 40:00Speaker 1: one from the spring? Right, That's what it looked like
- 40:02Speaker 1: in the spring, like Mac was sort of orchestrating everything.
- 40:06Speaker 1: He doesn't need to deal with the rookie task you
- 40:08Speaker 1: gotta deal with. Like he's more comfortable. So it'll be
- 40:10Speaker 1: interesting to see what happens. I think next year will
- 40:12Speaker 1: be more interesting honestly, Yeah, as you kind of lock
- 40:14Speaker 1: in on a second year of I mean, this has
- 40:16Speaker 1: got to be a big year for him though, and
- 40:18Speaker 1: just in terms of jump, I mean, you know, and
- 40:21Speaker 1: continue to feel like I'm not so sure about the defense,
- 40:23Speaker 1: but feeling like at the very least they need this
- 40:26Speaker 1: offense to be able to move the ball at a
- 40:28Speaker 1: different level this year than they did last year. And points. Yeah,
- 40:32Speaker 1: the delayed games and you know, just the free rushers.
- 40:35Speaker 1: We brought that up too of you know, and I mean, look,
- 40:38Speaker 1: part of that is probably teams get him, you know
- 40:40Speaker 1: what I mean, he's a rookie. He doesn't know what
- 40:42Speaker 1: he's doing all the time, and a little bit of
- 40:43Speaker 1: the Skuys goes a long way. I remember early in
- 40:45Speaker 1: mini camp last year watching High Tower and Van NOI
- 40:48Speaker 1: mess him with him. You know who's coming, who's going.
- 40:51Speaker 1: That's all just experienced stuff, you know, I think. But
- 40:54Speaker 1: there's no question mac Jones got to make a big
- 40:56Speaker 1: leap this year. Let's go to speed in Fresno. Spe
- 41:00Speaker 1: what's up the regular sausage fest here today? Right? That's right.
- 41:05Speaker 1: I don't I don't like it. The girls kept things moving.
- 41:09Speaker 1: Imagine a little ten year old dude seeing himself now
- 41:12Speaker 1: hosts in the number three podcast how far, How far
- 41:16Speaker 1: I've come from days of talking into a tape recorder.
- 41:19Speaker 1: I guess writing Brady song. Yeah, a couple of you's
- 41:27Speaker 1: so like the foks in the dishwasher thing, I'm with you, guys.
- 41:31Speaker 1: You flustered them together, you know, apart from the knives
- 41:34Speaker 1: and the spoon. But there's the critical question is do
- 41:37Speaker 1: you do prongs up or down? Down? Don't hurt yourself.
- 41:42Speaker 1: It doesn't matter for me though. Irongs up, I'm wrong
- 41:46Speaker 1: up because you're gonna impale yourself. But at the same time,
- 41:49Speaker 1: you know what you're grabbing. You know you're when you
- 41:52Speaker 1: when you have the prongs down? What's the what's the four?
- 41:55Speaker 1: What's the knives? Really? You can't see ye okay, no,
- 42:01Speaker 1: they're down in there. They're down in the little you know,
- 42:03Speaker 1: the double wareholder thing and the plastic trade. You can't
- 42:05Speaker 1: see the head. Why maybe I just have a different dishwasher.
- 42:10Speaker 1: The knives, the knives, you put the knives up to
- 42:18Speaker 1: you put the knives in like blade up too? Do
- 42:22Speaker 1: you know something I don't? I don't. I put the
- 42:25Speaker 1: fourth and the spoon go go up with the knives
- 42:28Speaker 1: go down, so I know that the knives are the
- 42:30Speaker 1: winds that are down. Okay, all right, he's got a system.
- 42:33Speaker 1: I can appreciate a system. We're all we're all insane here. Yes,
- 42:37Speaker 1: I needed to ask you guys a little bit of
- 42:39Speaker 1: a hypothetical thing. Um, And I got three of these
- 42:44Speaker 1: in a street fight like bare knuckles snow holds bar
- 42:48Speaker 1: who win the take tea Fred? The first one is
- 42:51Speaker 1: a Brady versus Rogers. Oh oh man, who wow? I
- 42:56Speaker 1: don't know. I feel like Rogers my fight dirty, don't.
- 43:00Speaker 1: I don't feel like there'll be much damage done in
- 43:02Speaker 1: that fight. I really don't. I'll go Brady has a
- 43:05Speaker 1: little psycho on him, you know. Yeah. I gotta think
- 43:07Speaker 1: Brady is more competitive, so I'll go Brady. Yeah, I
- 43:10Speaker 1: go Brady. But I bet, I bet Rogers could probably
- 43:12Speaker 1: float some punches. But I think that fight could go
- 43:14Speaker 1: on for a couple of weeks and neither side could
- 43:16Speaker 1: get hurt. Yeah, and then they'll sit back, have a
- 43:20Speaker 1: little scotch too, faces off, not in the not in
- 43:26Speaker 1: the face, the face, not the hair. But uh, the
- 43:31Speaker 1: next one in their prime Prime bo Jackson versus Prime
- 43:35Speaker 1: Lawrence still Lauren Sailor man. This is a fight again.
- 43:43Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, I would take l T I think made
- 43:46Speaker 1: a video game. I think he's more tapped. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 43:49Speaker 1: yeah yeah, but that'd be tough. That'd be a tough battle.
- 43:53Speaker 1: We'll get him on the undercard for love on Bell
- 43:55Speaker 1: versus Peters. Right, that's one might, uh might be the
- 44:00Speaker 1: most challenging for me. Um, it's uh, this is John
- 44:06Speaker 1: cruck versus Andy Hart, both at their fattest. Well wasn't
- 44:10Speaker 1: India is fattest in like seventh grade, So that's a
- 44:12Speaker 1: little bit unfair. Yeah, he's yeah, he wouldn't be able
- 44:17Speaker 1: to hang with cruck cruck driver crucky good. All right,
- 44:23Speaker 1: thanks b It's funny when he said like who would
- 44:25Speaker 1: win in a fight, and then he started off with
- 44:27Speaker 1: Tom Brady and my immediate thought was anybody else? And
- 44:30Speaker 1: he picked a guy it I think is sort of
- 44:32Speaker 1: equally you know, disinterested in contact. Here we go. We
- 44:37Speaker 1: got William Philly. What's up? Will how good than what's
- 44:44Speaker 1: going on? Hey? Budd? All right? Now, hey, um, when
- 44:49Speaker 1: would y'all think that we can get a uh like
- 44:52Speaker 1: a Bona Fibracy number one receiver that does it all.
- 44:55Speaker 1: No more, no, no number twos and threes and on
- 45:00Speaker 1: that board, just just our pure number one receiver, you
- 45:03Speaker 1: know what I mean. I mean maybe next year it's
- 45:06Speaker 1: take maybe one. Yeah, I don't think it'll be this year.
- 45:13Speaker 1: But you know what, if he works out, yeah, I
- 45:16Speaker 1: mean I think I hope he does. Yeah, I'm praying
- 45:19Speaker 1: on him. Trust I'm playing on him. Definitely, definitely. I
- 45:23Speaker 1: mean he has a skill set that would lend itself
- 45:25Speaker 1: to that, right, right, that little joke too far. I
- 45:28Speaker 1: heard you when you got off and I got off
- 45:30Speaker 1: here yesterday. But when I caught him there and uh
- 45:35Speaker 1: saying I wanted Bill fire, you was just joking, that's all.
- 45:40Speaker 1: Oh you want to build Yeah, you want to build fire.
- 45:42Speaker 1: You want that's the way, That's the way. I right,
- 45:47Speaker 1: we'll see other. No, this is what I want. That's
- 45:50Speaker 1: why I would wanted to tell, like you and Mike though,
- 45:52Speaker 1: I don't want Bill fire. I just want him better, right, No,
- 45:55Speaker 1: just do better as a in the all season. That's it.
- 45:57Speaker 1: As a coaching, hell of a coach. Yeah, I think
- 46:00Speaker 1: most people agree with Yeah. Now, I think we'll get
- 46:04Speaker 1: some I think we'll get some good information this year.
- 46:06Speaker 1: Because they're gonna have to throw some of these these
- 46:08Speaker 1: draft picks into the mix, and they're they're gonna sink
- 46:10Speaker 1: or swim, and then it's either gonna look better or
- 46:12Speaker 1: it's gonna look worse too. So we'll get some answers
- 46:15Speaker 1: this year. Thanks Will for calling in. All right, lunch
- 46:19Speaker 1: is here for some of us, So I think we're
- 46:23Speaker 1: gonna take a quick break, pay some bills, and we'll
- 46:26Speaker 1: be back shortly. Patriot Places the region's number one shopping, dining,

- 57:26Speaker 1: half of Europe died. Yeah, when you got it, you died.
- 57:29Speaker 1: I mean that was it. And you know it lasted
- 57:32Speaker 1: for a couple of years and then it went away,
- 57:34Speaker 1: but then it came back over the course of fifteen years.
- 57:37Speaker 1: Was also like seventeen but it kept coming back, you know, yeah, yeah,
- 57:41Speaker 1: over fifteen years, and nobody wore their armor. That's why
- 57:45Speaker 1: they wouldn't wear their armor. That's another great moment from

- 58:01Speaker 1: that's right. I still think WWF. That's that's what I
- 58:04Speaker 1: grew up. I used to be a WWF guy. This weekend,
- 58:07Speaker 1: of course, holiday fourth of July. We've got a question
- 58:10Speaker 1: here from Dan in Virginia and Michigan. Uh, gents, have
- 58:15Speaker 1: a great Fourth of July weekend. Enjoy yourselves, you colonial ruffians.
- 58:19Speaker 1: As mister craft Is said, we are all patriots. Here's
- 58:21Speaker 1: some questions in that broader patriotic spirit. Uh, what is
- 58:25Speaker 1: your best Fourth of July memory? Does anyone have a
- 58:28Speaker 1: memory that perhaps jumps to mind that was particularly exciting? Nope.
- 58:33Speaker 1: I had a whiffootball game, came down, came back from
- 58:37Speaker 1: twelve runs down. Oh nice on the beach. You know,
- 58:40Speaker 1: the formal game. I was picturing like one of those
- 58:42Speaker 1: like you know, the formal fundraiser, like mini vos playing. Yeah,
- 58:48Speaker 1: I mean just year after year after year of pool, Hamburgers,
- 58:52Speaker 1: five orcs, pool party cookouts. My family is hosted Fourth
- 58:55Speaker 1: of July for well over fifty years. Yeah, the only
- 58:58Speaker 1: one that stands out for me was just we had
- 59:00Speaker 1: one down the cape and we somehow got under the fireworks.
- 59:04Speaker 1: So the fireworks were all being launched like right over
- 59:07Speaker 1: us and like falling down almost to the point where
- 59:10Speaker 1: you were scared. It was kind of cool, like just
- 59:12Speaker 1: to be up close. But otherwise I'm with you, guys.
- 59:14Speaker 1: I think it was just kind of the same sty
- 59:17Speaker 1: all and they're all great. Twenty one Cup on the Porch,
- 59:20Speaker 1: favorite favorite giving in flip flops. I love it. I
- 59:24Speaker 1: love the Fourth of July. Favorite food at Fourth of July.
- 59:27Speaker 1: We had a little talk about this yesterday with with
- 59:29Speaker 1: Zoe talking about so let's bring that up. Let's talk
- 59:31Speaker 1: about about Zoe this one with the Glizzies. Um, So
- 59:38Speaker 1: they were talking on on the Sports Hub on you
- 59:40Speaker 1: know on my station, you know, Beatle, Zoe and Hardy
- 59:43Speaker 1: and they're talking about, you know, different things that you
- 59:47Speaker 1: bring to cookouts or the beach or whatever. And Zoe says,
- 59:52Speaker 1: you don't want to be the guy that brings cookies.
- 59:53Speaker 1: I mean, you can't be that guy. And Beatle and
- 59:57Speaker 1: Hardy were like, what are you talking about? Like, who
- 59:59Speaker 1: doesn't love it chocolate chip cookie. This goes on for
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: like hours, and I'm texting Beetle and Zoe Beetle and
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: Hardy to rip Zoe, and of course they ended I
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: think they ended up talking about it because I started
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: getting things in my in my Twitter responses. So I
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: was like, you go to a cookout, you know, you
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: have a nice day. You know, it's like eighty eighty five,
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: not too hot, but you know, maybe a little breeze,
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: Get a burger, a Glizzi fatises, Uh, you know, maybe
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: some tips. Oh I don't know, maybe a little a
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: little potato salad, wonderful pasta salad, you know, a little
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: little something, you know, maybe some watermelon potato chips, you know,
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: like to pretend that you're doing something that's like not
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: horrible for you. Uh, and you top it off with
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: like a dessert, like free, a nice chocolate chip cookie,
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: a popsicle something, you know whatever. I'm a cookie guy,
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: I mean, like a nice chocolate chip cookie. And I'm
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: thinking to myself, as as Jim Valvano would say to paraphrase,
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: like that's a good day. I mean, that's a full day, right,
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: And Zoe is like apoplectic, like you can't be the
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: guy that brings cookies to a cookout. I'm like, I
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: love the guy that. Let's face it with you, you
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: need the meats, right, you need the burghers, dogs, tips happening,
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: maybe some chicken whatever, you know, so those are the essentials.
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: You know, you need buns. But beyond that, I'll take
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: the guy that brings the chocolate chip cookies any day
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: of the week too. And they're actually showing cook they
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: were just showing cookies again. Oh yeah, they're still talking
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: about cookies. Oh listen, I understand that not everybody has time,
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: especially in the summer, to bake right now. It would
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: be great if they were homemade, but I mean you
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: can you can get package could get a good cookie,
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: get cookie, you can get good cookies. But there's you know,
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: you know those like those soft like the soft with
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: the frosted cookies, you know what I'm talking about. It
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: was a phenomenolutely and the peanut free that have allergic
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: analogies like my son there, look at they're still showing cookies.
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: It's a slice of heaven. But there's not really like
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: a sets fourth of July dessert right Like it's all cookouts.
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: You don't like you said watermelon, but that's not scratching
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: the che like popsicle, that's not scratching the che like
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: maybe or sometimes you get somebody who brings like a
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: like a like a sheet cake with strawberries and blueberries
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: on it, like God rest her soul. Uh you know,
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: passed away a couple of years ago at at the
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: age of ninety six. I believe she used to make
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: an ice box cake like like a boss, like I'm
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: talking to this. This was this, this, this crap was legit.
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: I mean this that the ice box like you know,
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: like the layers. You get a little, you get a
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: little barella, you get a little you get a little
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: whip cream, you get a little like Graham cracker to
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: give it some some structure what I'm talking about, right,
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: I know generally, I just I mean, I'd probably go
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: on the side of ice cream pieser cakes too, but
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: that's fine, like absolutely different thing. I'll take the cookie
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: like I'll take you. Look to the cookie, give me
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: the cookie, put the ice cream on top. I'm good. Uh,
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: uple more questions here and Dan Fourth of July stuff
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: ever been part of a parade? I have once. I
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: have actually many times um, the Grand Marshal. No. No
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: legends of every not an a legends of every kind
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: of way, but every used to. I don't know if
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: they still do it. They used to have a very
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: you know, elaborate Fourth of July parade. And when I
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: was probably like twelve or thirteen, Um, you know, a
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: lot of the people that were involved in the planning
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: of the parade were people that were very close to
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: us in my family. And I used to have to
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: put costumes on and dress and I'd walk the parade
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: route and get everybody hyped up. Yeah. I was like, uh,
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: like tigger. Oh that was my my go to costume.
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: I was always the tiger um. And it was great
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: because when you got to be you know, like ten, twelve,
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: you know whatever, you get to be like fifteen, sixteen seventeen,
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: dressing up as a tiger, running around parade. Now you're
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: looking Now you're looking around, Oh, hey, how you doing.
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: And you go over and you're like, hey, he's hitting
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: on me. And you're like, hey, it's me. And you're
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: like you lift up the so cute. Yeah, playing with
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: the kids. So Dan, I lied, there's my there's my
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: Fourth of July. I wish she had told us that
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: one scouting out the chicks at the Fourth of July
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: parade and what about you? You were I think I
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: was in it, but the wealthy parade cape cod don't
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: blink or it's over. But you know it's a little
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: town parade. You know. I just chuck some candy people stuff,
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: all right, you're a candy serious. I wasn't like on
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: the floor. I never got to do. I mean, you know,
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: I think the closest I got was, um, when I
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: did Little League and band, and so I had to
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: march in the parade. This is not even the Fourth
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: of July parade. But um, it's really embarrassing because you know,
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: I was kind of a chubby fourth grader and they
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: didn't have baseball pants that are big enough for me.
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: So no, I had to wear the baseball pants that
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: weren't big enough and so like, and so we have
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: a family video of this, which it does exist somewhere
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: in my house. Um, but I had like the tidy
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: whitey's on here I was thinking under the way for
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: getting prade. It was the most embassing video. I had
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: the tidy whities on under the baseball pants. So it
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: was just clear as day, marching in my baseball uniform
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: but also playing the trombone, having no idea what I
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: was doing with my baseball pants on and my tidy whities,
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: showing everybody. And as I said before, like the video
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: is funny because you see all the other kids who
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: actually practiced the trumbone all moving in sync with and
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: I'm just kind of right just winging it, winging it.
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: No idea what I'm doing. You know, we're playing like
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: the national hands. My poor you know, I had that
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: because you play hockey. It's it's targets those Uh, it's
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: the gluteus maximus muscles, you know, so you're fourth grade.
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: You know, girls call me rubber butt a little bit,
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: you know, let kick it. It bounces like rubber because
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: I had the big hockey butt, you know. But what
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: are you what are you gonna do? What I wouldn't
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: give for that big butt right now? Uh? Last one
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: note from Dan Peek into the soul their Ties, Dan,
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: asking just what made you feel most patriotic? Could be
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: an event person idea going down into the into the
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: moment and into the psychology of it all. I don't
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: know how about the other night I get home from
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: seven on sevens with my son TJ. And I stopped
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: off to get dinner. Um, you know, we got we
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: got beefs. Bro stopped off to get some beefs and
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: there was two kids in line ahead of me, and
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: kid gives his debit card. Doesn't doesn't work. He's like, oh,
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: let me go get my wallet, so he starts. I
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: was like, na, no, no no, I got you guys, and
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: I picked it up for the For the two guys,
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: one of which was played against TJ's team. He was
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: from Salem. He had a Salem shirt on shore. So
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: I felt good about myself. There you go, you know,
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: yea for thirty seconds. Then I then I went back
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: to the south Low thing that I know more. I mean,
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: just a moment. The pots of my mind was just
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: the first game back here last year and just being
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: back with fans and you know, like the fly over
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: and the flyover and you know that was just you know, hey,
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: it feels like we're we're kind of back and kind
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: of gone over in terms of that kind of patriotism.
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: It was hard to believe the game. Um after nine eleven,
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: Andrews came out with the flags for his brothers and
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: his brothers, the fire in their uniforms, speaking of which
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: that was emotional, The super Bowl, the post super Bowl. Yeah,
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: speaking about two thousand and one Super Bowl sound Otsey
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: podcast produced by myself and Matt Morel. Go ahead, go
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: back and listen to that. You can find it online.
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: We have a great episode about that particular game with
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: that tease was like in the third grade, who agree
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: were you in? You overestimated that we got one from
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: Alexander here with some questions with Alexandra No, not Alexandria, Alexander,
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: alex and Petuckett as a correct one. A few a
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: few questions. He's hoping sparks some debate. If you could
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: bring back two Hall of Fame players to our current team,
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: one on offense, one on defense, who would it be.
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: I'm gonna go cornerback, like any Hall of Fame or
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: Patriot about Brady. I'm gonna yeah, leave out Brady, make
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: it fun. I'm gonna I'm gonna go Patriots, just because
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: what am I gonna bring back? Like Jack Lambert or
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: something like uh but thy Law? Yeah, tip tip Tay Law.
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: You need pass rusher those guys offense, Moss, No, you can't. Really,
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: you're gonna bring me back one of the greatest receivers
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: of all the time, I bring welcome back. Uh yeah, yeah,
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: I mean that's probably it's thy Law Mike Hanes and
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: Andre Tippett. Like was it was it just overall Hall
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: of Fame or Patriots off. I didn't specify, so we can.
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: You can do whatever. You got somebody out outside you
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: want to bring out. No, no, I'll just to keep
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: it in Patriots Tyla rama. Uh yeah. I like, if
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: you could coach one position in football, what would it be?
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: And why coach a position? Kind of tough? Just one
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: position that would do quarterbacks? Quarterback, yeah, special teams. I
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: don't think I'm qualified to coach the question, well, I
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: without questioning him not. If I had my choice, that
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: would be. I always had a fascination with safety though
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: I think, like I mean, I wanted to play linebacker
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: when I played, just because I was kind of chunky
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: and you know, couldn't run as well as the safety.
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: But I think safety would be the most on defensive
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: position just because he kind of get to roam around
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: and hit people and you know you're not yeah, you know,
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: you gotta be able to run and stuff. But I
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: think that's an interesting, interesting position. Don't give me that look.
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: I just gave him that look about to get kicked
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: off the show. Uh, what's your favorite food that you're
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: always ready to eat? This is a general question. I mean,
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: you're gonna pepperoni, pizza, pretty much anything that Chinese food.
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: If it was one thing, I'd probably go with, like
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: a filet mignon, Like a really really good steak. Yeah,
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: like a nice sauce on it. I know that it
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: depends how good it is. I would say I would
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: say ice cream, but I fell short the other night
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: because you ever had bad ice cream? Really, have you, Matt?
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: You look like you nodded, like you didn't like the
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: flavor or it was just not good ice cream. I've
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: had both. I've had ice creams that I didn't like
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: the flavor, and then ice creams that came like freezer
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: burnt and you're like, I this texture, Yeah, well there
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: was something wrong with it. There's something like gross, like
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: commercialized ice cream. It was like sour Patch kids ice
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: cream kids that wasn't good. Yeah, So I've had bad
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: ice cream. I would I've never stray from the beaten path.
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: I've never had bad ice yeah, because you know what
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: you're picking. You're a veteran. You know you're not gonna
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: go like, oh, cookies and cream, one cookie, chocolate chip. See.
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: My thing now is the peanut butter Sundays that I've
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: gotten turned on, and I go Peanut butter Sunday too much,
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: And so Crescent Ridge a little plug for them, and
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: Sharon right down the street from them, great ice cream.
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: But no, unbeknownst to us, Mike has like, you know,
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: billions in his bank account based on all these Yeah.
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: Actually one time I did mention them in a mail
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: bag and they were kind enough to send me like
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: a one free tiny top. But their sizes are out
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: of this world. And even my dad, who loves ice
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: cream like went there and was like, you get to
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: get the tiny like the tiny top, that's the one
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: you get. So I went there, Why do my peanut
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: butter Sunday? I got a small too much? A small
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: Sunday too much for even me. I would say that
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: is my one, and that almost never happens in any
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: other food industry for me, but ice cream consistently is
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: too big. Yeah. But so in the future, what I
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: gotta do is tiny tot. Just give me the sauce
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: on the tiny tot. I only need a tiny tot
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: amount of ice cream. Uh. Bonus for Paul, special for
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: you from from Alex. Uh. Do you prefer pesto sauce? Sorry,
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: I don't call it gravy or a classic tomato gravy?
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: Uh seems weird to say, but I try everything once
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: for your fata, for your fat tomato. Yeah, absolutely, Marinara
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: sauce gravy. Yeah, we make a little pesto. I'm not
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: I'm not a big pestoz. No, I'm not saying I've
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: never had it and I won't eat it. But like
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: the white sauces Alfrey, they're fine, but I would tend
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: to tomato gravitate towards the traditional. It's got a bonus
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: one for you too, Paul Yuh will you call sauce
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: gardner gravy gardner? You like that one? Did you? I
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: like that. I'm going to use that. I will break
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: it out on the pregame show in the week six game.
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: I believe that feels like we're up in the press
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: box and he makes a play and I just go
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: thank you Alex for those questions. That was That was good.
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: We're staying on topic here. Uh No. One, thank you
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: to Audrey for writing and saying I'm doing a fine
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: bit of hosting. Fred makes a ton of mistakes. I
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: deserve that. Um. We do have one email from Burt
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: on Burton Island. Just what on Green's God's Green Earth
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: is Eric doing? Or did you guys force a sign
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: him a non disclosure agreement and Changer is leaving? Uh No,
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: we refuse to find out. We're not gonna. I'm not sure,
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: not sure what Eric's up to, but I'm sure as
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: soon as we find out, we'll share it with you.
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: One from Sean Hallohan. I know we've spoken a lot
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: about DeVante Parker being on the outside, which could help
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: Aglore and Meyers settle into their respective Let's say hypothetically
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: he is healthy being DVP, and we keep the wide
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: receiver roster together, who would be lined up where on
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: the field and where would they be on the depth chart? Ah? Well,
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: I mean I think it's a question about Aglare because
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: I think Aglare played on the outside a lot last year,
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: and I think there's some you know, his most productive
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: years kind of came a little bit more balanced, maybe
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: a little bit more out of the slot. I don't
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: think Myers is going to really change. He's kind of
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: your slot receiver or number two, you know, Born kind
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: of the number two, and I just kind of think
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: Parker's going to be on the outside as that. I
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: don't know, test to catch kind of guy. Yeah, it's hard.
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: I agree with you guys, but I think kind of
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: just rotate them. I don't think it's like a set.
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: I think you have Parker on the outside, Myers on
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: the inside, and I think Aglare and Borne can do both. Yeah,
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: moving around a little, and I think those are the
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: four guys you're going to be doing different one in there. Yeah,
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: maybe it takes some shots with them. I could see that,
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: especially if they're injuries. We got another another football wide
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: receiver question. Mike mentioned during Tuesday's podcast he wasn't sure
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: if it's better to have one or two receivers emerged
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: to be good or have three or four solid but
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: not great receivers from Mac this season. My question is,
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: do you think there's possibility to have both maybe Born
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: in Parker emerging in Aglare, Myers and Thornton as solid
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: players behind them? I understand this is all depending on
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: Mac having a year or two leap, but how successful
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: do you think the offense would be under this scenario?
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: How many wins do you think they would have at
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: the end of the season. That's from mike Y in DC.
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: I think the offense could be much improved if that happens.
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: I don't know what that translates to wins because I
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: don't know what they're gonna do on defense. Yeah, I mean,
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: it's just hard how it's all going to come together
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: with with injuries and you know, is there I mean,
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: like you said, is there a surprise cut amongst those group?
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: I mean, it seems kind of hard. I mean, I
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: don't think you're gonna cut Born. I know some people
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: talk about Aglare as being a trade target maybe, but
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: you know, outside of aglare And I mean, Paul's made
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: the case of the surprise being Jacoby, but it's right
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: back from it, right, I don't want I don't, you know,
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: like I wanted be like a whoa moment? But what
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: shows you how you know, there's not a lot of
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: movement that could happen there that wouldn't be kind of surprising.
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: I mean, I think aglare moving maybe like they traded
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: him that well, that's not all that surprised. I think
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: it's when he's on the Jets game Falcons game he
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: had Does he had some moments last? You know? Can
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: you get more of those? That's the I think that's
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: the question. And and is he more productive? You know,
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: if you're if you're able to put him inside a
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: little bit, and does he eat in? Then to some
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: of the snaps that that Jacobi is on a contract year,
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: was getting right? Another contract year for him? Um oh,
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: David A. Gibbs is saying I wrote this year my
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: top five linebackers in the mail bag, and he noticed
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: a glaring omission. Who are you guys as top five
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: Patriots A linebackers all time? Yeah? Tip it yep. Nelson
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: uh Nelly's the one I think he um he said,
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: I would have forgot Here's word. It gets tough because
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: I would go Rabel Willie. See, Willie to me is
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: a tough one because of the beginning of his career.
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: I will say, Willie, you're out on Bruski. Yeah, I
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: grew up with themselves. Yeah now, I um, I think
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: I did put brusquill on there and high Tower. Yeah,
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: but I think those are the guys he probably think
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: he's implying I left Nelly off there. Um yeah, which
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: is that I probably would have High Tower ahead of Bruski,
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: but I would I might even have like Don Blackman
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: ahead of both of them, if I was gonna do
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: it that way. But it's hard because of the different
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: ways they played. Like Blackman I think benefited greatly. I mean,
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: to be to be fair from being on the opposite
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: side of Tip and you know Bruski and those guys
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: that that that's a less glamorous job to be on
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: the inside. Um, you know, Phifer, you know, was really
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: good for you know, a couple of years that he
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: was here. I mean, Bruski, Bruski is probably the answer
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: for the fifth guyself. I mean, I think you're right though,
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: because inside linebackers, you got outside linebackers. I mean it's
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: easy to kind of comp between very Bowl, Tip McGinnis
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: on the outside, but then you had Nelly and Bruski
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: and um, you know show it was another good one.
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: Uh yeah, it's hard not to narrow it down. Adam
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: from Lowell, Indiana Weeks do you think the red unis
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: will be I know that they know. We don't know
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: yet though, but I mean, I think any of the
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: old kind of throwback teams. I was gonna say Thanksgiving,
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: but we're away that week, hmm, right, so they couldn't
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: wear so they'll probably be home games, I would guess, right. Yeah,
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: so I schule Miami. I like to see him against
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: the Bears Monday night game. That's a good one, like
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: an old Super Bowl throw I think that would be
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: that would make some sense. Um and I've heard that
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: one thrown out there, but I think probably a division
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: game to say, you know, two Bengals Christmas Eve, Thursday
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: Bills here, Thursday Bills here. That makes sense too. The
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: Bengals under season though, Christmas Eve. Yeah, like kind of
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: the special nights against opponents that you you kind of know.
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: I mean, I like the Bears one that's a little
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: bit of a throwback to one of the worst games
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: of my life. Lost one hundred bus um, hey, they
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: wrote three nothing, they were running, they had it, they
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: just could and my friends, we were convinced when when
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: when Peyton fumbled early in the game, like it's happening,
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: it's happening, They're gonna win again. Tobias coming off the
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: top rope here. We'll go to the calls in one second.
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: But um, I just want to say I'm actually really
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: excited about Maddie Pete calling our place, because if anybody
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: knows how to keep an offense on the field on
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: third downs, it's surely him. Oh, Tobias, that's uh, that's
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: that's hurt. That's very well. I mean, let's go down
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: to North Kakilaki. Todd is on the phone, Todd, how
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: are you sure five guys with my son because he
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: just finished his dance camp. Did you get enough fries there? Oh? Yeah,
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: The fries here are the why we come. There's no
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: reason not to come for the fries. So just a
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: quick quick quick quizzes. What year was New England's worst
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: rushing total? Like all time? All time? Yeah, all time,
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: But you can't go back to the brains or anything
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: like that. Six what do you got? No? How was
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: my guest? Nineteen seventy? Okay, they did a thousand yards rushing?
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: Now what was their best passing year? Seven? Yeah, seven,
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: two thousand eleven, five thousand, two hundred and fifty seven yards.
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: I thought it was two thousand and seven two but nope.
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: And when was their best rushing year? Seventy you got it, yeah,
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: three thousand. So now my quick question for you guys
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: is this year, are they gonna better than last year
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: for the rushing totals or worse for the rushing and
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: passing totals? What do you guys think? I'll take that
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: off there, Thank you guys, Thanks sod, But what's the question?
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: Better or worse than last year? Rushing gonna be better? Worse?
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: This year? Is passing canna better? Worse? This year? Passing
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: has to be better? Well, we don't. Yeah, we don't
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: really need to be doing any more shows, I think.
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: I mean, it's an interesting question because I think it's
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: all it's all tied together. So you know, if you say, oh,
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: the running game is gonna be better, does that mean
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: that they're leaning less on the pass or you know,
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: could it? Or if they're passing better, does that open
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: up more opportunities in the ground game as well. It's
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: all kind of connected, so it's hard to say, but
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: I mean, I just I think Paul's got the right
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: answer of just the passing game has to Like, this
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: is a passing league. They got a bunch of new
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: receivers or not a bunch of new receivers, but they
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: got some new weapons in the passing game that you
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: know needs to produce, so they have to be better.
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: They got to be better. Uh, let's head north of
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: the border now and head up to Vancouver or Sean.
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: How are you great? Hey, guys, good to speak with him, Mike.
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: I think you're doing a great job. You know how
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: to read. It's adequate. Not to quit my adequosity, No,
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: it's it's great. I wanted to uh defend though in
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: a bit of a way. Um, like, if you're bringing
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: quality cookies you bake them yourselves or Missus Fields. Sure,
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: that's one thing. But if you went to the dollar
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: store and picked up some cookies, I can see that
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: being okay. No, hold on now, hold on now. So
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: what would you consider a good pick up at the
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: store and the way in like Missus Fields? No, no no,
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: no, no no, Like something different than cookies. Oh, something different
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: than cookies, right that you would have that you would
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: deem acceptable just out of curiosity. Well, most things, like
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: even cookies are fine, but like I'd love it ice cream?
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I just think if it comes from the bakery,
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: then you're okay, but if you're showing up with like
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: chips ahoy, I don't minute Like chips ahoy are terrific,
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: but you don't chips ahoy at a part right. That's
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: you know, like this is what I was what I
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: was figuring was like, what will you just like you
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: grab a you know, a bag of lais or you
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: like you grab a watermelon like that, you know that
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: costs like you know, a nickel a pound, Like, I mean,
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: what are we doing here? I mean, yeah, you're talking
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: about the quality. See now I'm with Sean, like you're
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: talking about the quality of the item. Yeah, makes the difference.
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: You got to go to the bakery section where they're
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: in that little bag with the fold it down. And
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: I'm with you. So now now I understand. Now I'm
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: not like rock Hard ship. I'm with you. Now out
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: of here now with um. I have some advice. I
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: haven't had a dishwasher in years, but when I did,
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: what I do is I take the actual cutlery container,
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: that little plastic thing, out of the dishwasher and bring
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: it up to the drawer so it's easier to put
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: away your knives and force and cutlery. So you don't
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: cut yourself. You just see everything up close and in
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: football stuff. Like one question I have it would ask
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: theos still be I don't know what they change the rules,
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: would he be eligible for the practice squad, because I
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: don't think he'd be someone you'd have to fear putting
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: on the you know, on waivers, like he's probably clear.
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: He could be. He could be, especially with the veteran rules.
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: I mean, I forget exactly what they were off the
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: top of my head. But he's he's played like one game.
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: But can't anybody I think pretty much anybody can. No,
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: I don't. They've got they've still got some veteran exemptions. Yeah,
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: I think there's six veterans. I thought there's a certain
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: amount of veterans that you can have on there. Yeah,
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: regardless of but even under the old rules, they might
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: be able to get him on. Where he's played one game,
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: I don't. I don't think he's done enough to worry
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: about it. With Nixon, I see him making the team
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: if there's injuries, if the kids continues to play, I
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: want to see what he does in pads. But if
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: he continues to play well through the preseason, then if
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: there's probably going to be an injury or two on
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: wide receivers that he could make it that way. Yeah
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: for sure, thanks Sean. Yeah, I mean I think Nixon's
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: gonna need some injuries. He's gonna need to continue to
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: produce like he did. Um, you know it's but he
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: just has that salary though. You know, he's a second
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: year guy on a rookie contract, so you can't rule
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: out that value. Speed road in though, to follow up,
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: and he's asking about have you guys ever tried trace
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: Litchies cake? I see he wrote out how to spell
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: don't worry, I got you, I got you. Sp potential,
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: potentially controversial because it's a wet cake. Some people don't
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: like that. I've tried. Have you tried the trace lightjays? No,
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: it's pretty good, never heard of it. Pretty good, random, random,
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: random dessert. But what about outside of fourth of July? Actually? Like,
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: what dessert? What dessert have we not touched upon that
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: you guys enjoy thoroughly? We do brownies? Do we do brownies?
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: Like the brownies? The brownies just like the cookies. It's
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: the same thing. Go to the bakery, though, and get
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: that little brownies. Get the roll down brownies are rock solid. Absolutely,
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: you know, just the plain big chocolate brownie would be
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: pretty good. Let's go out to Ducksberry. We got John. Hey, John,
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: how are you happy? The ball tho? Guys was well?
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: Thanks not to matist that Okay. I guess Paul, you
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: were talking about lineback because how about Nick Bonacani. Yeah,
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: that's before my time, but absolutely hall of famer. Um, yeah,
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: Nick was great. But I agree with you about Blackman.
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: Blackman I thought was better than Tippett. Oh whoa, whoa,
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: whoa whoa whoa, whoa whoa. I think he was a
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: better all around player. He was not. He was absolutely not. Well.
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: I mean, everybody's entitled, you know, but Andre Tippett was
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: was a lot of people think Andrea Tippett was. Was
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: Lawrence Taylor is equal a lot of people, not just
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: not just Patriots people. Um, they think that if he
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: was the guy that was in New York in that
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: media market, people would have talked about Tippet the way
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: they talked about LT. I don't think Blackman was at
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: that level. Yeah, but Tippett's best season was that strike yea,
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: when he had all the um He's playing against all
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: those replacement players. That wasn't his First of all, they
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: only played against replacement players for three weeks. Second of all,
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: that wasn't his best season. Well, he had the most
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: stacks that year. Both, Please, he's gonna check it. I'd
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: love to see Bill breakdown tip it. You know, it's
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: just some film like he kind of did with the
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: top one hundred stuff, you know, showing I mean some
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: of that stuff was crazy when he bring out some
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: of those older guys. But thanks, John, appreciate the call.
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: His best year was in nineteen eighty four in terms
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: of sacks. That was not a strike here. He had
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: eighteen and a half sacks, so that that was not
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: a strike here. Yeah, what year was the strike? Here's
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: eighty seven. There was one in eighty two, his rookie year,
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: and then there was one in eighty seven. He did
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: come back and played in a game as a he
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: broke the he you know, he was a scab him
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: in um flutie and they came back and they you know,
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: they broke the picket lines and they played in eighty seven.
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: But that's not that's not his best year. Um, he
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: did have a good year. He had twelve and a
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: have sacks. But you know, I'm just this this guy,
- 1:27:04Speaker 1: I mean first team All Pro, second team, All Pro,
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: second Team, All Pro, third team Defensive a third, third
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: place Player of the Year, First Team All Pro, Pro Bowl,
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: Pro Bowl, Pro Bowl, Pro Bowl, Pro Bowl. Like, this
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: guy was like at the top of the game playing
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: for you know what was They won some games, but
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: they were in one of the worst NFL markets at
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: the time. The Patriots did not get a lot of
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: national love in those days, and they weren't terrible teams. Um,
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: but I love Don Blackman. I'm with you, Like I
- 1:27:40Speaker 1: think Don Blackman was a really good player too. I
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: just think Tip made Blackman good. Yeah, I don't remember
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: we helped me Don Blackman enough. I mean I was
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: I was young, too, but I mean Tip, Now you,
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: like most you didn't jump off board until week three
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: or two thousand and one. I think it was actually
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: not untill two thousand and five. But um, we had
- 1:28:00Speaker 1: three um and now Audrey. She also has a comment
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: here about our our dishwashing discussion that that's going on, Paul.
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: The reason it's best to mix the utensils and the
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: dishwasher is for cleaning spoons grouped together tend to spoon
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: and trap food between them. See, if you're a lunatic
- 1:28:18Speaker 1: like like I am, you rinse them off before you
- 1:28:21Speaker 1: put them in. Well let's talk about this though, because
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: this is a little This sparked a little bit off
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: off air discussion, and I said, I get a lot
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: of crap from my wife because I don't rinse the
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: plates thoroughly enough before I put it in the in
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: the dishwasher, which I do try to rinse. I'm not
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: like ignoring that, but I'm not gonna don't just like
- 1:28:36Speaker 1: leave a chunk of burger on the plate. And I'm
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: not that extreme, but you know, there might be like
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: maybe a little streak of ketchup. You know, they don't
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: go crazy Like I'm not going chunks. There's no chunkage
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: because there's no need to put them in the dishwasher.
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: If they're completely covered in pasta sauce, I just throw
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: it in dishwasher. Well that's like I'll open the like
- 1:28:51Speaker 1: when she lows it, I'll open the dishwasher. I'll be like,
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: are these cleaner dirt? Like I can't tell because she
- 1:28:56Speaker 1: scrubbed them so much, you know, But I'm not regard
- 1:28:59Speaker 1: I'm with you, pa, like I need organization. I want
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: to grab the forks all at once. I want to
- 1:29:03Speaker 1: put the forks out, put the forks in with the
- 1:29:05Speaker 1: glasses up top, when the mug glasses up top, plates
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: down the bottom pans. Oh wait, I get another question?
- 1:29:11Speaker 1: All right, so how do you put the plates in?
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: Do you put them in? Like so you know how
- 1:29:14Speaker 1: you have your lower rack and you have the like
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: dividing lines going. Let's say you're looking into it and
- 1:29:20Speaker 1: they're going the horizontally. Let's say if you know, just
- 1:29:23Speaker 1: if you're looking in, well either way, but do you
- 1:29:25Speaker 1: put your Because I always find the bowls fit better
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: in the wide open gaps rather than like, you know,
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: the plates maybe go across and then you can stack
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: the plates. But if you got some bowls, you've got
- 1:29:35Speaker 1: some bigger space to wash the bulls out. You have
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: bigger bowls, like a bigger bowl, yeah, not like a
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: sound like you can't really like it with the glass right,
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: I'm getting a lot of nods, psychotic plates in the back,
- 1:29:49Speaker 1: bigger bowls in the front, bigger and you work your
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: way down. But it's great when like the plates are
- 1:29:53Speaker 1: all lined up in an order, but you got a
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: bowl that's too big. You can't put it in between
- 1:29:57Speaker 1: the slots. You can't you know, line it up right.
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: You can't efficiently packet, and then you might get something
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: on top that's not gonna get full coverage. Sounds like
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: something duce. I know this is hard to say, but
- 1:30:06Speaker 1: sounds like something that just may have to be hand washed. Right. Well,
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: this is just the stupid stuff that like all people do,
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: and no one ever really talks about, like like laundry,
- 1:30:15Speaker 1: like you know, these things that you always have to
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: take care of in your life. A funny one too.
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: So when I was growing up, you had to separate
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: coloreds from whites. Yeah right, yeah, you had to or
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: it would be like chaos. Oh I know. Yeah, No
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: one told me that I haven't done that in thirty
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: five years. No, well, you're washing in cold, you don't
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: have to worry about it. But no one told me that.
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: I watched I went to Vermont Academy. You know, I'm
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: like on my own the first time I got to
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: do my own laundry, watched a purple sweatshirt with all
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: my stuff, and so everything was like, you know, a
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: light pink. So we used to have like our equipment
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: bags at BEU, Like you got these mesh bags. I'm
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: sure you had something like this in Holy Cross, Uma.
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: So you would have like your shorts, your T shirts,
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: your workout stuff, um, and you'd put them in the
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: mesh bag and it had like a like a safety
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: pin that you would weave through the bag to keep
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: it closed. And everybody had their own bag and you
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: just threw it into the laundry, and the laundry did
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: it for you. So of course, you know, as a
- 1:31:10Speaker 1: college kid, you will you take that to the extreme.
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: Oh God, like someone Tony Testa love love him, mean
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: it one of my one of my best best college friends,
- 1:31:23Speaker 1: his mesh bag used to look like a pillow, like
- 1:31:26Speaker 1: it was so stuffed it looked like a goose down
- 1:31:29Speaker 1: pillow like when us and then and then he would
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: like and they would say, hey, Tony, it's your Stuff's
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: not gonna get dry. You can't do this. And it
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: was always one person that like, we had red shorts
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: and gray T shirts, right, and there was always one
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: one person with the red you know, like it would
- 1:31:48Speaker 1: run all over the place and bleed on the clothes.
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: But I don't know why that was such a big deal.
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: And like people don't usually use bleach anymore. No, like
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: you just use the laundry too, urgents now or sort
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: of all in one, the little pods and whatever. Growing up,
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: I had a three section hamper, three section hamper upper tops,
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: bottom color. Yeah, darks and one lights and the other
- 1:32:12Speaker 1: and then like towels and and the other. Keep. Yeah,
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: we don't do you know, obviously we separate darks and whites,
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: but we do the towels. You need to keep separate.
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: You should do towels by themself. How many uses do
- 1:32:24Speaker 1: your towels get? Oh? I usually use a towel twice.
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: I thought we can get pretty nasty. Are you doing
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: You're on your own. You gotta do this all yourself.
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: Oh I i'd go a weekly. I let it go like,
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: oh cool, you kidding? In college? Yeah, it's not something
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: sound like. It's not because I'm too clean for that.
- 1:32:39Speaker 1: It's like I'm an adults now. I have a lot
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: of towels. You'd smell it if you didn't recoil and disgust. Okay,
- 1:32:45Speaker 1: t J will take a towel out of the you know,
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: the pantry. He'll get he'll get a towel like and
- 1:32:50Speaker 1: then like put it in, wipe his brow and then
- 1:32:53Speaker 1: he'll throw it in the What do you what do
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: you do it? Oh, that's my kids in sweatshirts. Oh,
- 1:32:58Speaker 1: let's go. We got more than one wear out of
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: these hoodies that you put on. Like he'll come home
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: from school, put a hoodie on for like two hours
- 1:33:04Speaker 1: watching TV or play an Xbox and then that goes
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: in the half like your for like five minutes loaded
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: with hoodies, put it back. Do you do all towels
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: at once? So you try to spread those out towels
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: stuff all the time. I'm gonna see I try to
- 1:33:17Speaker 1: separate them, especially well, especially when you dry them. Yeah,
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: they some of the stuff gets on the clothes and
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: it gets pilly, and it does definitely take longer. But
- 1:33:29Speaker 1: the other thing I'll do is a load of towels.
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: I do a load of towels. I like, if there's
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: if there's five five towels and a load of towels,
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: it's a load. If there's twenty four towels and a
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: load of towels, that's a load. I'm not separating them
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: unless I can't physically fit them in. Oh yeah, you know,
- 1:33:43Speaker 1: sometimes you get like the bath, like the beach towels,
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: you know, because we have oh you know for the pool,
- 1:33:48Speaker 1: all the towels are outside, so it be an easier way.
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: I hate that load of of all beach towns, but
- 1:33:53Speaker 1: I'll put the towels in and Beth. I drive Beth crazy.
- 1:33:57Speaker 1: She's like, they're not going, they don't get clean, and
- 1:33:59Speaker 1: then they don't drive. I go, you run the dry towels,
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: you run the dryer second time? What do you on side? Uh?
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: I always find though, that like that's the best in
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: terms of folding laundry because you're like, oh, I just
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: got the towels in there, that this is going to
- 1:34:11Speaker 1: be an easy, full job. This is like well that
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: no one can figure that out, right, throw my closet
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: you need. Like there's like tiktoks. That's like one of
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: the tiktoks how to fold your what you'r ruffle? Don't
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: know what's the understood understood thing? Can't the fitted sheet.
- 1:34:25Speaker 1: There are their videos that make it look so easy.
- 1:34:28Speaker 1: It's not. I kind of start out trying to do it,
- 1:34:30Speaker 1: and I started trying to do and then it just
- 1:34:33Speaker 1: becomes kind of like a roll up, like yeah, right,
- 1:34:36Speaker 1: just try to try to make it look like a
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: square and then you know, don't worry about sweethet. I
- 1:34:40Speaker 1: just chuck it. But I mean, I'm with I have
- 1:34:43Speaker 1: no time for that. I'm with tea now just you know,
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: stuff it in there. But I have my ocds. But
- 1:34:47Speaker 1: that that sheet just gets rolled up and put in
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: the pantry. And that is one of the times it's
- 1:34:52Speaker 1: it's scary to me to think about how little I
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: probably wash my towels and sheets, like early on in
- 1:34:56Speaker 1: college and stay like I know, right, Beth, Beth thinks that,
- 1:35:01Speaker 1: like she's like fascinated by me because there are a
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: certain things like clean that's not one of them. Now,
- 1:35:06Speaker 1: clean sheets is not one of them. I'll use towels,
- 1:35:09Speaker 1: and I'll and I'll go with the sheets like forever,
- 1:35:12Speaker 1: Like I don't generally, you know, not that my bathroom
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: is a mask. Like when I when I lived by
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: me and I live alone for a while, you know,
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: and I would make sure the bathroom was like somewhat presentable,
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: but in terms of like cleaning the bathroom, oh no,
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: almost never. Yeah, And she'd be like, how can you
- 1:35:29Speaker 1: be so concerned about the dishes being a certain way
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: the like and I'm like, I fold the laundry like
- 1:35:35Speaker 1: maniacally when I when we do, you know, I have
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: no problem and I put it all away. She gets
- 1:35:39Speaker 1: mad at me because I put it away for the kids,
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: and I'm like that way, I know, everything gets where
- 1:35:43Speaker 1: it's supposed to be and it stays folded like it
- 1:35:45Speaker 1: just makes me feel better, you know. And she makes
- 1:35:47Speaker 1: fun of me for being so ocd about that stuff.
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: But I'll mean, I'll let the sheets goat I don't.
- 1:35:55Speaker 1: I'll let the sheets go forever. Like why why do
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: I gotta do that? Why do I gotta do a
- 1:35:58Speaker 1: little greasy greasy I'm not a pig. What are we animals?
- 1:36:05Speaker 1: She's like, we gotta change. We gotta change the sheets
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: on on all the beds, like at once. What we
- 1:36:11Speaker 1: gotta do that for? That's like that, that's like full
- 1:36:13Speaker 1: loads of launching the necessary task, you know, because that's
- 1:36:15Speaker 1: something you can't pile them all in because they take
- 1:36:17Speaker 1: up too much space. I sometimes get crap about mixing up.
- 1:36:21Speaker 1: I got two boys, you got two boys? Like this
- 1:36:24Speaker 1: was Tyson's shirt. I always supposed to know the difference
- 1:36:28Speaker 1: between like ten and seventy. If I refuse to do
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: Will and TJ stuff together like that's smart leads the arguments. Well, no,
- 1:36:39Speaker 1: because I don't know. I don't know which is which,
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: And I just say, like I'll do Wills with mine
- 1:36:46Speaker 1: and then TJ's with bets or something like that. You know, whatever,
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: it's tough, it's tough. It's tough out here for the guys.
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: Uh yeah, Claire Claire rode in again. She's she didn't
- 1:36:54Speaker 1: know men could be so domesticated. Well, you know, I
- 1:36:57Speaker 1: like to cook, you gotta clean board, school lifestyle, you know,
- 1:37:02Speaker 1: Oh what do we got? What do we got? Se?
- 1:37:08Speaker 1: Does that mean for Drew Lock? H he's gonna have
- 1:37:11Speaker 1: to compete, gonna to compete for a job. Wow? Good
- 1:37:14Speaker 1: for them. I mean I didn't really know what they
- 1:37:15Speaker 1: were doing for them. Give them a legitimate starting quarterback.
- 1:37:18Speaker 1: I don't think he'll make them any better. So they
- 1:37:20Speaker 1: would have been with Drew Lock. But he's better, He's
- 1:37:22Speaker 1: better than Drew Lock. So then who's uh so, then
- 1:37:25Speaker 1: who's left for the Browns? Now? If Watson's gonna get
- 1:37:30Speaker 1: was gonna play no matter what? Yeah, I mean Mayfield
- 1:37:32Speaker 1: wasn't playing because I know yet? What was it? As
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: if yesterday were they were still in like day three. Yeah,
- 1:37:37Speaker 1: of hearings with do you think there's a chance that
- 1:37:39Speaker 1: this because it's supposedly an independent right harbarder, do you
- 1:37:44Speaker 1: think there's a chance that he doesn't get anything? Like,
- 1:37:46Speaker 1: they don't recommend any suspension, and then the NFL says
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: we have to spend him anyway. I don't know that's
- 1:37:51Speaker 1: too much going on. Let know, whatever, whatever's gonna happen,
- 1:37:54Speaker 1: he's gonna appeal it, and it's gonna get knocked down
- 1:37:56Speaker 1: a little bit. I think he's out at least half
- 1:37:59Speaker 1: a sea. Yeah, I I wish they could tend games. Yeah,
- 1:38:02Speaker 1: I was just wondering if they're bringing the contract into
- 1:38:04Speaker 1: it just the way it's loaded, He's not. He's only
- 1:38:06Speaker 1: missing out on such a little amount of money. I mean,
- 1:38:08Speaker 1: if he never gets on track there, this could be
- 1:38:10Speaker 1: one of the all time worst moves in NFL history.
- 1:38:13Speaker 1: Then you gotta see what happens with the Texans lawsuit
- 1:38:16Speaker 1: from this right right, they're also they're also in trouble
- 1:38:19Speaker 1: for how they handled everything. I mean, and he got
- 1:38:21Speaker 1: all those picks in the trade. You just don't know
- 1:38:23Speaker 1: what's gonna happen. What a nightmare, I mean, you know.
- 1:38:26Speaker 1: I I'm glad though for Seattle. I mean I have
- 1:38:29Speaker 1: a good friend of his, big Seahawks fan. I mean
- 1:38:31Speaker 1: talk about whiplash. I mean it was, you know, definitely
- 1:38:33Speaker 1: whiplash year for going from Brady to cam Newton, but
- 1:38:36Speaker 1: like to go over Russell Wilson to Drew Locke. I mean,
- 1:38:40Speaker 1: at least we had like a period of a month
- 1:38:42Speaker 1: or two where we kind of convinced ourselves that maybe
- 1:38:44Speaker 1: Cam Newton had something left and could actually be like
- 1:38:47Speaker 1: a guy that led us to the playoffs. But like,
- 1:38:49Speaker 1: I don't think any Seahawks fans would fooling themselves in
- 1:38:51Speaker 1: and thinking Drew Locke was going to be that guy.
- 1:38:53Speaker 1: Maybe they can try to do it with Baker Mayfield.
- 1:38:55Speaker 1: But I wonder how DK Metcalf feels. We have to
- 1:38:58Speaker 1: check his social media see what his reaction was. I
- 1:39:02Speaker 1: had a guy asked me today any chance the Patriots
- 1:39:04Speaker 1: would get Metcalf? And I didn't even know who was
- 1:39:06Speaker 1: talking about At first. It took me that Eric Eric
- 1:39:09Speaker 1: McKinnon's like, no, No, I think all dependsive Baker's healthy.
- 1:39:14Speaker 1: I mean, he was really banked up last year. He
- 1:39:16Speaker 1: was he was a better player two years ago when
- 1:39:19Speaker 1: he was healthy. There's a chance that he could still
- 1:39:21Speaker 1: be that. I think the bigger problem that Cleveland had
- 1:39:23Speaker 1: with him was the off field. Like I think when
- 1:39:25Speaker 1: he played, he was probably okay, but I think they
- 1:39:30Speaker 1: worried about his maturity issues, which is, you know that
- 1:39:32Speaker 1: they've made themselves to be the punchline now that they
- 1:39:35Speaker 1: go out and they trade all of this for Deshaun Watson,
- 1:39:39Speaker 1: who's dealing with far more serious maturity issues. You know,
- 1:39:43Speaker 1: I saw a tweet that was like Watson Watsons and
- 1:39:46Speaker 1: his hearing and Baker Mayfield's holding the charity event, and
- 1:39:49Speaker 1: you said they want an adult at quarterback. Yeah, like optics.
- 1:39:53Speaker 1: It's another another example like like Deshaun Watson's never done
- 1:39:56Speaker 1: anything for chet Like yeah, like doing camps in chest
- 1:40:00Speaker 1: already worked, does not make you a good person. There
- 1:40:02Speaker 1: that that means you did a good thing. Yeah, But
- 1:40:05Speaker 1: I know countless athletes that I wouldn't want anywhere near
- 1:40:09Speaker 1: my kids that have done all kinds of stuff for charities.
- 1:40:13Speaker 1: Like Deshaun Watson, before this incident was largely widely considered
- 1:40:20Speaker 1: one of the greatest guys people in the league. This
- 1:40:24Speaker 1: has completely stained him forever and rightly. So yeah, you know,
- 1:40:28Speaker 1: if he's guilty of the things that he's accused of, rightly,
- 1:40:30Speaker 1: so obviously. But I mean, did you have many guys
- 1:40:34Speaker 1: in that league they had a better reputation off the
- 1:40:36Speaker 1: field than he did. No, No, I mean, just it's
- 1:40:40Speaker 1: amazing how it happened. I mean, I know, we make
- 1:40:43Speaker 1: fun of me for finally realizing he was good against
- 1:40:45Speaker 1: the Patriots a couple of years ago, but you know,
- 1:40:47Speaker 1: I mean, just what a player for that to happen,
- 1:40:50Speaker 1: you know, like it was all kind of coming together
- 1:40:52Speaker 1: for him before it was him mahomes and right laar,
- 1:40:56Speaker 1: I guess. I mean, but we'll see what happens with
- 1:40:59Speaker 1: with Cleveland and then I think it's probably reasonable to
- 1:41:02Speaker 1: expect that that Jacoby Brissett. What is this week six?
- 1:41:06Speaker 1: Oh yeah, ten sixteen. I don't think there's any way
- 1:41:09Speaker 1: Watson avoids it to the point where you can play
- 1:41:11Speaker 1: week six. The only way that he could play Week
- 1:41:13Speaker 1: six is if somehow it doesn't come down before then
- 1:41:18Speaker 1: and he gets to play, and then he will be suspended,
- 1:41:20Speaker 1: like maybe next year. That's the only way I could
- 1:41:23Speaker 1: see him being There is no way he avoids anything
- 1:41:25Speaker 1: less than a six game suspension. Right. Oh no, I
- 1:41:28Speaker 1: don't think. I can't imagine. I don't think so half
- 1:41:30Speaker 1: a year at least, I would guess, Paul, do you
- 1:41:32Speaker 1: have you have lines on all the Patriots games? I don't,
- 1:41:36Speaker 1: but I have him on a handful. Which one are
- 1:41:38Speaker 1: you looking for in particular? I don't know. I was
- 1:41:40Speaker 1: just curious. I'm just curious, just curious some of the more.
- 1:41:44Speaker 1: You name one and I'll tell you if I have it.
- 1:41:45Speaker 1: Just give me the week Bengals. Just give me the
- 1:41:49Speaker 1: week week Week sixteen. I believe, if I recall, the
- 1:41:58Speaker 1: Patriots are favored in that game. But let me look
- 1:42:01Speaker 1: new Week twelve, next Week sixteen, Bengals at Patriots, Patriots
- 1:42:05Speaker 1: by two. Okay, so I'm gonna do that Fred thing
- 1:42:08Speaker 1: where the team gets three. Week twelve Vikings was gonna
- 1:42:15Speaker 1: be a good game, Vikings by two and a half.
- 1:42:18Speaker 1: Scared to see what Justin Jefferson and and Dalvin Cook
- 1:42:22Speaker 1: it doesn't end. I mean, this schedule, it's just an
- 1:42:26Speaker 1: any other games. I think it looks like I do
- 1:42:28Speaker 1: have every weekend. I mean, I'd be most curious to
- 1:42:31Speaker 1: see how many they're favorite in verses, how many they're
- 1:42:34Speaker 1: their underdogs in but well underdogs Week one favorite, Week
- 1:42:38Speaker 1: two three, their favorite at the Packers. Uh that's four hunderdogs.
- 1:42:43Speaker 1: Week four by six. Oh sorry, I just read that.
- 1:42:46Speaker 1: Week five, they're favored by ten. Week six their favorite.
- 1:42:51Speaker 1: They're favorite by two at Cleveland. Week seven, they're favorite
- 1:42:56Speaker 1: by nine and a half. Week eight, favorite by four
- 1:43:01Speaker 1: over the Jets. Week nine, they're favored by two and
- 1:43:05Speaker 1: a half. That one's a little surprising to me. Their
- 1:43:07Speaker 1: favorite over the Colts. Week ten, they're they don't play.
- 1:43:13Speaker 1: Week eleven, they're favored by seven and a half. Week twelve,
- 1:43:18Speaker 1: they're underdogs by two and a half. Week thirteen, they're
- 1:43:21Speaker 1: underdogs by three. Is with the underdogs take on a
- 1:43:25Speaker 1: little bit of a run here. Week fourteen, they're underdogs
- 1:43:28Speaker 1: by two and a half. Week fifteen, they're underdogs by two.
- 1:43:31Speaker 1: Week sixteen, they're underdogs by two. No, I'm sorry. They're
- 1:43:36Speaker 1: favored by two in week sixteen, and for some reason
- 1:43:39Speaker 1: it doesn't list week seventeen. I think it could a
- 1:43:42Speaker 1: good question be which So it sounds like they're favorite
- 1:43:45Speaker 1: a little bit more often than not, but a lot
- 1:43:48Speaker 1: of very slight home like two point home favorite, which
- 1:43:52Speaker 1: is kind of like they think the other team is better. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:43:55Speaker 1: I just see these teams. I'm just like, who is
- 1:43:56Speaker 1: going to go up against the number one receiver? Yeah?
- 1:43:58Speaker 1: Well that's what I was gonna say. I think a good,
- 1:44:00Speaker 1: a good discussion pointer bet would be which opposing receiver
- 1:44:03Speaker 1: has the most yards Adams? I mean, go, you know,
- 1:44:09Speaker 1: just you know, go down the line. I mean they've
- 1:44:11Speaker 1: they've got guys Jamar Chase Waddle in Tyreek digs. Yeah,
- 1:44:20Speaker 1: it's gonna be tough. There's a lot of good players
- 1:44:22Speaker 1: we'll see, most of which probably won't be playing against
- 1:44:26Speaker 1: the Patriots. We can only hope. Paul, Uh, what else
- 1:44:30Speaker 1: we got any call? No calls? All right, Well we're
- 1:44:32Speaker 1: starting to win things down here. I thought we had
- 1:44:34Speaker 1: a game. Didn't we have a game? You know? I
- 1:44:35Speaker 1: think I miss read the game as h was at
- 1:44:39Speaker 1: the fourth of July, But I got I got a
- 1:44:43Speaker 1: little bit pepsi. You might have to a little hypothetical
- 1:44:48Speaker 1: scenario though here from Tobias Uh. If the NFL had
- 1:44:51Speaker 1: introduced best out of seven for the playoffs, how many
- 1:44:55Speaker 1: Super Bowls would the Bill Brady dynasty have one? Well,
- 1:45:00Speaker 1: I don't think they would have gotten the first one
- 1:45:02Speaker 1: that might that one against the Rams, I think the
- 1:45:04Speaker 1: Rams might might have gotten them. I mean, of course,
- 1:45:06Speaker 1: this is talking about football happening year round, because you
- 1:45:09Speaker 1: have what four playoff rounds, you could have twenty eight weeks.
- 1:45:14Speaker 1: The Panthers one was pretty close. I mean that would
- 1:45:17Speaker 1: be a back and forth probably seven. I think the
- 1:45:21Speaker 1: Seahawks one would have been a seven game series. I
- 1:45:23Speaker 1: think the um the seven Patriots I think would have
- 1:45:27Speaker 1: beaten the Giants. The eleven Giants would have beaten the
- 1:45:30Speaker 1: Patriots in my view. Now, both of those games went
- 1:45:32Speaker 1: down to the last play of the game. Yeah, I'd agree,
- 1:45:35Speaker 1: though I think that Patriots team was smoking mirrors kind of.
- 1:45:39Speaker 1: I mean, the Giants were better in that game. I
- 1:45:42Speaker 1: don't think the Giants were better or No. Seven. The
- 1:45:44Speaker 1: Giants played better that day. I like to think the
- 1:45:46Speaker 1: seventeen one against the Eggles, it depends maybe, Yeah, I
- 1:45:52Speaker 1: think that they could have played for four weeks and
- 1:45:56Speaker 1: they the defense never would have stopped Philadelphia hopefully right.
- 1:46:00Speaker 1: But I do think fourteen back and forth sixteen and
- 1:46:06Speaker 1: they probably would have gone. I think they would they
- 1:46:08Speaker 1: just got off to us. See. Now here's the other thing.
- 1:46:10Speaker 1: I see, I kind of like these things because they're
- 1:46:12Speaker 1: kind of silly and there's no right or wrong anches Like,
- 1:46:15Speaker 1: are we playing out of the premise that the game
- 1:46:17Speaker 1: that actually has played this Game one? Because if Game
- 1:46:21Speaker 1: one was the Patriots beating the Falcons, that's a full
- 1:46:25Speaker 1: game sweep. Yeah, that's full game sweep. There's zero point
- 1:46:28Speaker 1: zero percent chance of Atlanta bouncing back the next week
- 1:46:33Speaker 1: after blowing that lead. Yeah maybe maybe Seattle. I mean
- 1:46:39Speaker 1: Seattle was fighting each other on the way off the field.
- 1:46:41Speaker 1: I might say too, Super Bowl fifty three, that might
- 1:46:44Speaker 1: be the most interesting. I think the Rams might have
- 1:46:46Speaker 1: won that back and forth. Like, I think the games
- 1:46:49Speaker 1: would have probably been a lot different, like from game
- 1:46:51Speaker 1: to game, Like you might have had a game where
- 1:46:55Speaker 1: Ella's offense just went off, you know, Like I think
- 1:46:57Speaker 1: McVeigh probably learned a lot from that game. Yeah, Yeah,
- 1:47:00Speaker 1: it'd be fun if it was home, home and away
- 1:47:02Speaker 1: and it wasn't a neutral site. It's like, May, We're
- 1:47:07Speaker 1: in game four Bowl and training camp starts next your
- 1:47:12Speaker 1: fourth halftime. Perfect. I mean it's fun to like, I
- 1:47:15Speaker 1: agree with Mike, you know, the two thousand and one
- 1:47:17Speaker 1: Rams were probably better. I think the two thousand and
- 1:47:20Speaker 1: three that with the Carolina Patriots one. I think those
- 1:47:25Speaker 1: two teams were really even. I think two thousand and
- 1:47:27Speaker 1: four the Patriots were significantly better than the Eagles. Right,
- 1:47:31Speaker 1: they also got time and injury. I know his broken
- 1:47:35Speaker 1: leg would have only gotten better. Yeah, three games, two, three, four,
- 1:47:39Speaker 1: If it was a four out of seven series, they
- 1:47:41Speaker 1: might have sat him out Game one. Mc nab gets
- 1:47:43Speaker 1: some more condition. Does the game's go on? Remember himself
- 1:47:50Speaker 1: into shape? Well, I mean by that point it's mid May.
- 1:47:54Speaker 1: I mean, you know, i'd hope he'll be in shape
- 1:47:55Speaker 1: by then. And I think the bottom line is my
- 1:48:01Speaker 1: guess is it probably would be about the same. Yeah,
- 1:48:03Speaker 1: you might, you might give one, you give away thirty six,
- 1:48:07Speaker 1: but you might you take back. You might take two
- 1:48:12Speaker 1: two two. Yes, yes, you already gave back forty six uses. Correct,
- 1:48:17Speaker 1: you already give that one. Tom. Claire Claire chiming in
- 1:48:19Speaker 1: with with a game. Um, it looks way too tight
- 1:48:22Speaker 1: end centric. So Claire, what do you got? She's got
- 1:48:26Speaker 1: some riddles, Claire, I'll give you. I'll give you. I'll
- 1:48:32Speaker 1: give you an easy one. Here you go. The first one.
- 1:48:33Speaker 1: This is a riddle. I may be tall, but I'm
- 1:48:36Speaker 1: not six nine. Let's go for it sixty nine. Oh,
- 1:48:44Speaker 1: I didn't realize it was all time like it had
- 1:48:45Speaker 1: to be a tight end. I was like, I didn't
- 1:48:48Speaker 1: know they were like Patriots. No, and she doesn't give
- 1:48:51Speaker 1: that away, but a chorus it is. I don't even
- 1:48:52Speaker 1: know who Paul Butler is. That's the answer to a
- 1:48:54Speaker 1: second one. Who's Paul Butler? Claire, You're losing your mind
- 1:48:58Speaker 1: with your tight ends. I think she's got a Ryan
- 1:49:01Speaker 1: zero one two. Um, yeah, that's a good try. Cler
- 1:49:04Speaker 1: that's a good try. I appreciate the effort here as
- 1:49:06Speaker 1: we get ready. So what do you guys got playing?
- 1:49:08Speaker 1: What do you guys got playing for the Fourth of July?
- 1:49:09Speaker 1: Anything special here? And cookout? To do a cookout? No
- 1:49:13Speaker 1: parade this year? Kelsey who brings the jesticon up his
- 1:49:15Speaker 1: tier again walking around trying to pick up high school
- 1:49:19Speaker 1: girls pick up pick up. That's that was my tiger impression.
- 1:49:28Speaker 1: What about you? TC? Cape Cod have beach Comber, a
- 1:49:31Speaker 1: couple of high noons on the beach and behind them
- 1:49:33Speaker 1: I like them, you know, so I gotta get into
- 1:49:36Speaker 1: the economic stratosphere of you two, and you know, give
- 1:49:39Speaker 1: me a little spike ball to find my places down
- 1:49:41Speaker 1: the kid. Do you like spike ball? I never really had.
- 1:49:44Speaker 1: I played for the first time last time. I love
- 1:49:46Speaker 1: all beach kind of games. I love Botchi on the beach.
- 1:49:49Speaker 1: I got ball, it's like beach beer pocketball. I've played
- 1:49:51Speaker 1: that a lot of fun. I don't really find spike
- 1:49:54Speaker 1: ball all that. It seems like very involved. You're bringing
- 1:49:57Speaker 1: a whole like thing out. I haven't got it. Yeah, no,
- 1:50:00Speaker 1: I have it, just don't really use it a lot.
- 1:50:03Speaker 1: I'll take it. No. Prokodema, do you want it? Take it?
- 1:50:05Speaker 1: I'll bring it in. You got like multiple one set
- 1:50:08Speaker 1: up and you're like next level there for the day,
- 1:50:10Speaker 1: you know, beach comber and have an oyster shooter after
- 1:50:14Speaker 1: that's that cave. That's that Cape lifestyle. Uh. Prokadema, whiffle ball,
- 1:50:19Speaker 1: the old the old standbys, that the beach prokodema. You
- 1:50:22Speaker 1: know what I'm talking about? No, little I know that
- 1:50:25Speaker 1: is wooden paddles. The wooden paddles, you just hit the
- 1:50:28Speaker 1: ball back and forth. Yeah, yeah, there's a name for that. Prokadema.
- 1:50:32Speaker 1: Yeah morell everybody goes right to procadema. Amateur is procadima big.
- 1:50:37Speaker 1: In Afghanistan, the national sport oh okay, I mean it
- 1:50:41Speaker 1: is played on the sand. You can just draw lines
- 1:50:43Speaker 1: in it. That's like the third time you almost no inappropriate.
- 1:50:53Speaker 1: I think my my favorite beach activity is just like
- 1:50:55Speaker 1: you said, a couple of high nuns, you know. But
- 1:50:57Speaker 1: of course they did have that beach injury last year,
- 1:51:00Speaker 1: broke my ribs. That's right, doctor show on Twitter. Tighten.
- 1:51:04Speaker 1: I know he came in with the uh the l
- 1:51:07Speaker 1: twenty two of me diving into a sand bar trying
- 1:51:09Speaker 1: to like look impressively looking at this. Um. I don't
- 1:51:13Speaker 1: think it's anything too too significant. I don't know. But
- 1:51:17Speaker 1: then maybe if I don't play and everyone turns against
- 1:51:19Speaker 1: me and everybody hates me, then because I didn't can't
- 1:51:22Speaker 1: win with a bitch for a writer pissed us off. Fankly,
- 1:51:30Speaker 1: you know, frankly, I took that. I took that personally.
- 1:51:34Speaker 1: Now it's gonna be uh, it's gonna be a low
- 1:51:37Speaker 1: key weekend for the Deuces, but we are going to
- 1:51:39Speaker 1: the revs on on Sunday night, so it's funny with
- 1:51:41Speaker 1: the ticket. I took that personally. Jay billis you guys
- 1:51:44Speaker 1: know Jay Bill? You probably don't because you don't do
- 1:51:45Speaker 1: anything with basketball teach. I know he's a basketball guy, right, Yeah.
- 1:51:48Speaker 1: So he put out a video like yesterday or the
- 1:51:50Speaker 1: day before, the top five guys that he scouted coming
- 1:51:54Speaker 1: out of the draft coming you know, coming out of
- 1:51:58Speaker 1: college for the draft and during the time that he's
- 1:52:00Speaker 1: been doing the draft in ESPN, which is like twenty years,
- 1:52:03Speaker 1: you know. Not surprisingly, Lebron was number one, but he
- 1:52:06Speaker 1: had you know, five guys like John Morant, Zion Lebron,
- 1:52:10Speaker 1: you know, I forget the others whatever, but all great players.
- 1:52:14Speaker 1: And my first thought was I wanted to retweet it
- 1:52:17Speaker 1: and put the Michael Jordan thing saying frankly I took
- 1:52:20Speaker 1: that personally and say Marcus Smart coling because he thinks
- 1:52:24Speaker 1: he's one of those guys like I should. I was.
- 1:52:27Speaker 1: I mean, I was, clearly. I mean, John Morant, what
- 1:52:30Speaker 1: are you kidding me? What's John Morante? Is you ever
- 1:52:32Speaker 1: taking his team to the finals? John Morant? You get
- 1:52:34Speaker 1: in on the in on the Marcus Smart talk. I mean, Paul,
- 1:52:37Speaker 1: we were a couple of weeks here. The celt has
- 1:52:38Speaker 1: been done with Marcus Smart. But I'm salty how this
- 1:52:41Speaker 1: series ended. You know, do they need it? Do they
- 1:52:44Speaker 1: need a point card? Do they need a true point card. Probably.
- 1:52:48Speaker 1: I love jumping in my hard hitting basketball questions here.
- 1:52:51Speaker 1: I know, I know my analysis, right, what's Marcus smart?
- 1:52:54Speaker 1: What's he doing? What's he doing? He led the team
- 1:52:56Speaker 1: to the finals. Just ask him, I'll tell you he did.
- 1:53:00Speaker 1: Said it in the Globe the other day. Yeah, and
- 1:53:01Speaker 1: then I guess continuing around the horn though, Bruins, I
- 1:53:05Speaker 1: don't know David Quinn supposedly to mix Jim Montgomery some
- 1:53:08Speaker 1: of these names. I'm here. Yeah, I think my boy
- 1:53:10Speaker 1: Greg Cronin had an interview, but I think he is
- 1:53:13Speaker 1: out now. He was at how long was he at
- 1:53:15Speaker 1: Northeastern for just a few years? Sixty years or so? Yeah,
- 1:53:18Speaker 1: a little while. I don't know. I don't feel like
- 1:53:21Speaker 1: I'm going to be excited about whoever the Bruins pick.
- 1:53:23Speaker 1: And I just don't know how you watch the Avalanche
- 1:53:27Speaker 1: and think like you're anywhere in that same universes. I mean,
- 1:53:31Speaker 1: it's probably how a lot of NFL teams probably felt
- 1:53:33Speaker 1: for a long time. But they're just so freaking talented
- 1:53:37Speaker 1: and young and they have everything. And just talking to
- 1:53:40Speaker 1: some of my hockey buddies who are just so in
- 1:53:42Speaker 1: awe of Kale mccarr and watching him and just he good,
- 1:53:45Speaker 1: How good he is? It's pretty cool? Ah, what else
- 1:53:51Speaker 1: we got anything else in the last five minutes here, guys,
- 1:53:54Speaker 1: this is when Deuce host runs out of steam. We've
- 1:53:57Speaker 1: covered a lot of Patriots stuff today, though, I thought
- 1:53:59Speaker 1: that was pretty good, a lot of around the AFC East. Um,
- 1:54:03Speaker 1: I don't know what about uts? What game are you
- 1:54:05Speaker 1: most excited for this year? What do you think? I
- 1:54:07Speaker 1: know you like Justin Fields. Are you excited for that one?
- 1:54:10Speaker 1: See how he's progressing in your two Yeah, I'll be
- 1:54:12Speaker 1: you know, that's gonna be a good one. Just to
- 1:54:13Speaker 1: see the two quarterbacks from the same draft class other
- 1:54:15Speaker 1: than Zach Wilson somebody else, you're not going to see
- 1:54:18Speaker 1: that often. Both progress. But I also want to see
- 1:54:20Speaker 1: the Vikings game. Viking games will be big. Yeah, Thanksgiving evening,
- 1:54:23Speaker 1: we're all gonna be a little bit and then I'll
- 1:54:25Speaker 1: be pissy. I'm just gonna let you know right now,
- 1:54:27Speaker 1: don't say stupid stuff that night, because I'll jump ugly
- 1:54:30Speaker 1: on you because I will not be happy that I'm here. Um,
- 1:54:32Speaker 1: you know I'll say Cardinals as well, just because I
- 1:54:34Speaker 1: think we stole that one. Yeah, a couple of years ago.
- 1:54:37Speaker 1: So yeah, the Justin Fields, I'm with Tissan, I'm really
- 1:54:42Speaker 1: interested in him. I just feel like you talk about,
- 1:54:45Speaker 1: you know, we make fun of what the Patriots have
- 1:54:46Speaker 1: done with this offensive wood in a situation. Yeah, it's
- 1:54:49Speaker 1: worse the lack of structure in Chicago. They have no
- 1:54:53Speaker 1: offensive line, no receivers, no anything. Like they have like
- 1:54:57Speaker 1: one player on offense, like Mooney, Like they have nothing,
- 1:55:01Speaker 1: and they're just throwing this guy out there saying, oh
- 1:55:03Speaker 1: and see if you can run around and make some
- 1:55:04Speaker 1: plays and help us win. Like that's not a good
- 1:55:08Speaker 1: that's not a good team right now. That's the reason
- 1:55:10Speaker 1: why the Patriots are favored by by nine and a
- 1:55:12Speaker 1: half points in that game at this stage. On their defense,
- 1:55:16Speaker 1: Hicks right, used to be used to be Hicks used
- 1:55:18Speaker 1: to be Khalil MACKI used to mean they've they used
- 1:55:22Speaker 1: to have all these guys. What have they gotten in return?
- 1:55:24Speaker 1: You know what? Like it just seems like, yeah, right,
- 1:55:27Speaker 1: I guess that's about it. You know, And where's and
- 1:55:30Speaker 1: where's Pittsburgh? That's a question I got. What do I
- 1:55:34Speaker 1: think Pittsburgh is the opposite? I think Pittsburgh is a
- 1:55:37Speaker 1: team that everybody is sleeping on because they think Ben
- 1:55:39Speaker 1: Roethlisberger is Ben Roethlisberger from like twenty ten and they've
- 1:55:45Speaker 1: upgraded their quarterback. Yeah, even if they have a good defense,
- 1:55:48Speaker 1: I'm not telling you they have a great defense, even
- 1:55:50Speaker 1: though statistically it says that. But they're pretty good on defense.
- 1:55:55Speaker 1: Their quarterback play will be better than it was last year.
- 1:55:58Speaker 1: Good coaching, you know. I mean that they got some
- 1:56:00Speaker 1: pieces in place, but well, we'll see how it all
- 1:56:04Speaker 1: stacks up. And you're not going to intentionally, I'm gonna
- 1:56:07Speaker 1: end up four minutes, four minutes early. You don't have
- 1:56:09Speaker 1: a meeting. I have a meeting four minutes early for
- 1:56:11Speaker 1: the fourth I gotta go get ready for the revs. Game.
- 1:56:13Speaker 1: And Stranger plenty of good seats with Oh yeah, Stranger,
- 1:56:15Speaker 1: thanks tomorrow of the season two. Yeah, and I'm a
- 1:56:21Speaker 1: little like, I'm disappointed. I think where it's going. I
- 1:56:23Speaker 1: gotta be honest with you. Season three will get your back.
- 1:56:25Speaker 1: Hold on, Yeah, you just got a power through season two.
- 1:56:28Speaker 1: Season three gets better than season four is like, all right,
- 1:56:31Speaker 1: this is like the full potential of what now these
- 1:56:34Speaker 1: two that are coming out tomorrow, like these two episodes,
- 1:56:37Speaker 1: we don't know if it's two or one. I think
- 1:56:39Speaker 1: it's two, but this I thought it was two. And
- 1:56:40Speaker 1: they will go too. I just don't know if they're
- 1:56:42Speaker 1: coming out both the both. I don't know if both
- 1:56:45Speaker 1: technically seven and eight. I guess is that it Yeah,
- 1:56:48Speaker 1: for like two years. Oh but it's not gonna end.
- 1:56:51Speaker 1: It's not a season to be one more season, but
- 1:56:54Speaker 1: they're gonna be a time jump. Yeah, that's what I heard.
- 1:56:57Speaker 1: To make it look like the kids are at least
- 1:57:00Speaker 1: to the ages that the jump of will buyers from
- 1:57:02Speaker 1: like the little ten year old to season two just
- 1:57:05Speaker 1: looks like a little string being there, yeah to season three,
- 1:57:08Speaker 1: because he still looks yeah, he still looks. Yeah, yeah
- 1:57:11Speaker 1: they did. They look small, They still look young enough
- 1:57:13Speaker 1: in season two Crazy School Kids. Well, I'm watching that
- 1:57:17Speaker 1: season one again with my youngest and it's just, I mean,
- 1:57:19Speaker 1: it's crazy how people grow up, but I mean, the
- 1:57:21Speaker 1: kids just well and then they show And it's the
- 1:57:23Speaker 1: other thing too, is like when you go on Netflix
- 1:57:25Speaker 1: and you see like the like the home page of it,
- 1:57:28Speaker 1: and then there's a picture in the top and you're looking.
- 1:57:30Speaker 1: You're like, well, first you can see how old they look.
- 1:57:34Speaker 1: But I don't know I can't help, but look, and
- 1:57:36Speaker 1: I was like, hmm, they're the ones in the picture.
- 1:57:39Speaker 1: Where are the ones that like im? And I'm thinking,
- 1:57:42Speaker 1: and I'm like mad, Yeah, yeah, so I'm not I'm
- 1:57:45Speaker 1: not wrong to be mad. Huh Okay. Now they do
- 1:57:48Speaker 1: a good job though, capturing just that eighties movie vibe,
- 1:57:51Speaker 1: you know, like there's just so many little things throughout
- 1:57:53Speaker 1: that that just take you back to your youth. That
- 1:57:56Speaker 1: was fun. But yeah, like the ticker costume him on,
- 1:57:58Speaker 1: you know, like nineteen eighty four, four to July. There
- 1:58:01Speaker 1: you go. We tied it all together right way and
- 1:58:04Speaker 1: looking for my girls as we wrap it up, I
- 1:58:06Speaker 1: want to wish everybody out there happy Fourth of July
- 1:58:08Speaker 1: if you celebrate here when we get a lot of
- 1:58:10Speaker 1: international fans. But we will be back Fred. We'll be
- 1:58:13Speaker 1: back on Tuesday with the cast returning, and we'll get
