  Speaker 1: I think prayer helps us in so many ways. But

  Speaker 1: to show you how prayer pays off. I want I

  Speaker 1: want to show you what good it can do for you,

  Speaker 1: even me. I use it every day, and and the

  Speaker 1: days I don't use it, I feel it that that,

  Speaker 1: you know, the days that I go, you know, without

  Speaker 1: talking to him as much, I notice it.

  Speaker 2: I feel it. I feel a certain kind of way.

  Speaker 1: Those are those that doubt starts slipping and in again,

  Speaker 1: that uneasy feeling of uncertainty slips in again, That wondering

  Speaker 1: what I'm gonna do starts slipping in again.

  Speaker 1: Everybody, man, I think, I really really do you know,

  Speaker 1: if people would just keep it real with each other,

  Speaker 1: There's a scripture that says that's none perfect, no, not one.

  Speaker 1: pays off. It's called it all eye and money. People

  Speaker 1: got money, call it all eyes. So return on investment.

  Speaker 1: People always looking for a return on investment. You know, nobody,

  Speaker 1: nobody in business really gives you money without understanding the

  Speaker 1: return on investment. They don't even give money to charities

  Speaker 1: unless they think it can do something with the bottom line.

  Speaker 1: A lot of companies work like that. I found out

  Speaker 1: out myself. Sad, but it is true. So since everything

  Speaker 1: is expected to work on a return on investment, I

  Speaker 1: assume because we're human beings. So since we are human beings,

  Speaker 1: whether you're in business or not, you still in the

  Speaker 1: business of living. I think when you pray, you should

  Speaker 1: expect a return on your investment. You talk to it,

  Speaker 1: you spend time opening up to him, you bowed your

  Speaker 1: head to it, you humbled yourself, you got on your knees.

  Speaker 1: I mean, but really we talking God here. So really,

  Speaker 1: what you're doing ain't really about nothing. Be honest with you.

  Speaker 1: A little bit that you do do on his behalf.

  Speaker 1: It just pays in comparison with what he does. But

  Speaker 1: putting my faith in what I said I wanted and

  Speaker 1: how I wanted him to do it. I want you

  Speaker 1: to give me this. I want that person to go away.

  Speaker 1: I want this person to accept everything you say. Then

  Speaker 1: I want to go over here and I want this

  Speaker 1: to just step aside and let me through, And then

  Speaker 2: I was I had it mapped out. God must have

  Speaker 1: He had to been Gonda. Boy, I made you to

  Speaker 1: be funny, But boy, you funny now. So you're gonna

  Speaker 1: tell me how to do it. And you've all heard

  Speaker 1: this right here. If you want to make God laugh

  Speaker 1: telling me your plan, well, that's what I did. And

  Speaker 1: that's how we pray. A lot of times we pray,

  Speaker 1: and we pray. In the prayer, we're telling him how

  Speaker 1: to work it out. Well, here's a deal. This is

  Speaker 1: what I've learned. Prayer pays off in different ways. There's

  Speaker 1: a different return of my investment when I pray. See,

  Speaker 1: sometimes when I'm praying for something, a situation to dissolve

  Speaker 1: itself or go away, sometimes I get courage out of
• 4:34
  Speaker 1: the prayer. Prayer provides me courage that's just to go
• 4:40
  Speaker 1: on and look at it.

  Speaker 2: I guess face it.

  Speaker 1: Then. Sometimes when I'm praying about a situation, sometimes prayer

  Speaker 1: gives me hanging power. Sometimes man, it just I look
• 4:53
  Speaker 1: up and I'm just handling it better. Sometimes prayer gives
• 4:58
  Speaker 1: you laugh at off power. Sometimes man, you just got

  Speaker 1: to laugh at off whatever man you trip it? Do

  Speaker 1: you know what that is?

  Speaker 2: If you could do that?

  Speaker 1: You know, sometimes it gives you a show of strength power.

  Speaker 1: Sometimes prayer allows you to have the appearance that you

  Speaker 1: got it all together. Nobody got to know the world wining,

  Speaker 1: the tornado, the hurricane that's swirling in your life. You
• 5:30
  Speaker 1: standing over that like the eye, the hurricane just and
• 5:33
  Speaker 1: it's all swelling around you. But you standing there like
• 5:36
  Speaker 1: the eye, you just as calm. That's what prayer does.

  Speaker 1: So when you pray, man, it builds up a lot
• 5:43
  Speaker 1: of things in you.

  Speaker 2: You know what it's done for me. Prayer has built

  Speaker 2: up character in me.

  Speaker 1: It's made me have more character because I'm able to
• 5:51
  Speaker 1: stand stronger on the things I say because I've been praying,

  Speaker 1: because I've been asking God for all of those return
• 5:58
  Speaker 1: of investments. I've been asking God for courage. I've been

  Speaker 1: asking God for hanging in that power. I've been asking
• 6:05
  Speaker 1: him to give me the power to walk away. I've

  Speaker 1: asked him to give me ignored power. I've asked him
• 6:10
  Speaker 1: to help me laugh it off. I've asked him to
• 6:12
  Speaker 1: show me strength. But you know what I was doing.

  Speaker 1: I was really praying, not really for them.

  Speaker 2: Things be real with you.

  Speaker 1: I was asking him to help me, Lord, help me.

  Speaker 1: You ever done that? You have asked God for help?

  Speaker 1: And then all of a sudden, the list of these
• 6:25
  Speaker 1: things show up. See, sometimes how you want the problem
• 6:29
  Speaker 1: to be solved ain't the best way. There's a lesson
• 6:31
  Speaker 1: to be learned when we make mistakes. And sometimes you
• 6:34
  Speaker 1: got to stay in that fire and you got to
• 6:36
  Speaker 1: learn that lesson. But guess what, though, when you come

  Speaker 1: out of it, you're gonna be better for it. You
• 6:42
  Speaker 1: gonna know more about it. Come on, y'all, pray. He's solid.

  Speaker 1: His word is true. It lasts forever. He do what

  Speaker 1: he said he gonna do now all day, all night,

  Speaker 1: twenty four seven. He do it all day, all night,

  Speaker 1: and then some more. His word don't ever change. It's true.

  Speaker 1: It works for me. It worked for you. It worked
