- 0:48The boundary Corner podcast. My name is Curtis Wilson.
- 0:51I'm Brian. Delicious midnight and seeing
- 1:11the Packers beat the 49ers 21-3 at the current moment which
- 1:15should be no shock when legitimately staffed up.
- 1:21Exactly, that's Carter's backup quarterback back up tight in
- 1:27backup offensive. Lineman top three wide receivers
- 1:31are out top legitimate offensive weapon out, you know, it is what
- 1:37it is. So we might as well record it
- 1:40because I'm not you know nothing really to gain here is really
- 1:47thrilling or Making you very happy.
- 1:50Exactly. Exactly.
- 1:52What about you, what kind of backgrounds like oh yeah.
- 2:31It's did the benefit of yourself in the long run?
- 2:33Not the short run, you know, so respect on that mr.
- 2:38Siegel, yes, sir. All right before we hit Know The
- 2:44Enemy Brian. Let's let's take a look.
- 2:46Couple hokey headlines today. One goes back all the way to the
- 2:50last Thursday, you know, clearly, we recorded last
- 2:53Wednesday and then Saturday night.
- 2:55Well, when it's midnight, we've been drinking and watching
- 2:58football all day. Sometimes things slip are mine.
- 3:01But Hokies pick up a very nice commitment of the state of
- 3:04Tennessee. Jaden Keller, the three star
- 3:08athlete 6320 to out of Bristol. So, literally right on the line
- 3:15there. The video was pretty cool with
- 3:17him, showing both sides of the line, especially a guy who
- 3:21reports a Tennessee offering a Virginia Tech offer with a few
- 3:25other ones, but we got in. What are you seeing so far on
- 3:28this guy? Brian.
- 3:31As you know that he plays on both sides, the ball plays wide
- 3:33receiver primarily safety on defense, but I think we're
- 3:37projecting more of an outside linebacker.
- 3:41Playing the backer position like Alan Tisdale right now really
- 3:45reminds me a lot of Tisdale actually coming out of high
- 3:48school. We 6320 to tis a was 63 like
- 3:522008. So they're in the same ballpark
- 3:55in terms of their size Keller, maybe a shade more athletic As
- 4:01we said he does stuff on the offensive side of the ball as
- 4:04well. He lines up in the backfield
- 4:07split them out wide, kind of does a little bit of everything
- 4:09on the offensive side of the ball but on defense just really
- 4:12good at tracking, the ball really good tackler.
- 4:16So I really like what we're getting from him.
- 4:19Like I said, I think he's going to fit in perfectly whenever
- 4:22Ellen, Tisdale moves onto that backer position, very nice.
- 4:26So definitely see him on the defensive side of the ball
- 4:29coming in, with the good frame, you know?
- 4:31Something you looked up right before we jumped on here what
- 4:33Tisdale look like? And he's kind of a mirror image
- 4:35of Alan and, you know, Alan was getting to the right weight
- 4:40before the whole crazy off season started.
- 4:42Now he's playing under sized so hopefully this kid can get to
- 4:47that level pretty quick. Now brown other news breaking
- 4:51today was Virginia. Tech has hired additional
- 4:54football staff Shou Bou. Yeah, Samantha me, huh?
- 4:59Yeah some man. When you word joined Virginia
- 5:03Tech as an assistant ad of player engagement for football
- 5:08and in this role, she's going to directing the minister program
- 5:10services and enhance the personal growth and development
- 5:14of the football student-athletes.
- 5:16She will Implement personal development programs, community
- 5:19service activities career, preparation post-grad and she'll
- 5:24also assist in recruiting efforts as well.
- 5:27This is perfect unit ex website, she comes from Loyola of
- 5:32Chicago. And she was an assistant
- 5:36athletic director there. Basically planning budgeting
- 5:39organizing, you know, student development type stuff has her
- 5:43master's from Harvard Education school.
- 5:45So obviously a very bright young bright person, joining the
- 5:51staff, and what more can you say?
- 5:54You just said it. Brian, its money, right?
- 5:56Like we're spending money. We're trying to get to the Level
- 6:01where we should be. Yeah, we're finally starting to
- 6:05run the recruiting and Player Development side of things, like
- 6:10a major college football program, instead of like a mom
- 6:15and pop organization in a lot of that.
- 6:20Honestly, it worked for us under Frank for a while, but in the
- 6:26last decade we've been passed by a significantly.
- 6:29In some of that is in a situation where we had,
- 6:35Assistant coaches, that were paid very well, that over time,
- 6:38that pay was not Rising comparative to everyone else in
- 6:44our conference, and obviously, especially everyone else that's
- 6:47playing, you know, top 10 football consistently.
- 6:51So it's nice to see us catching up on the recruiting side of
- 6:55things. That's obviously one of the
- 6:56areas that we need the most Improvement, I feel like as a
- 7:00football team is getting recruiting on the level that it
- 7:04needs to be. And It's not going to grow
- 7:06unless we're spending some money there.
- 7:08There's only so much that recruiting can do without the
- 7:13financial support that goes along with so by nothing
- 7:18overnight. We're all of a sudden going to
- 7:19be a top 10 recruiting team but putting more investment on that
- 7:23side of things is definitely going to help us in the long run
- 7:26100%. I mean, and that's guess spend
- 7:29money to make money essentially and Again, it you're starting to
- 7:35take what you're seeing with these last few roles.
- 7:38The young lady that came up from appstate.
- 7:41I'm sorry. Her name is escapes me right now
- 7:43even though I follow her on Twitter now.
- 7:45And this young lady is your speed to put less and less
- 7:48responsibility on the coaches during visits.
- 7:54Looking at, you know, other things, you know, when they go
- 7:58on their road trips and stuff, it's more of this is going to be
- 8:01the person handling you and The coaches are going to be in there
- 8:04and just sell versus the coaches doing everything.
- 8:07So again, it's a development, it's another position.
- 8:11And again, we're slowly, but surely getting there.
- 8:17You know, who knows what happens if there's no pre-code that or
- 8:20there's no code because, yeah, I think after what happened with
- 8:25the Baler stuff I think you were going to see a massive influx of
- 8:28positions. Probably not so much now.
- 8:32So we shall see. See the fact that we're spending
- 8:35money, budget crunch aside is probably as much as we could ask
- 8:41for all things considered it. So, I'm going to take it once
- 8:46things clear up on the covid front, and we get back to
- 8:48business as usual at that point. I'll start, you know, hammering
- 8:52more on the salary side of things, especially for our
- 8:56assistance, but I like the effort to get some more support
- 9:01staff when they're recruiting, you know, even with everything
- 9:04going on with covid. So kudos to the to the guys, in
- 9:07the front office, they got that done.
- 9:09Absolutely kudos to witness staff.
- 9:12All right, Brian. Well, let's move on.
- 9:14No, the enemy going to do some breakdowns here.
- 9:17Like, we always do every week, guys, this week, it's the in
- 9:21number 25, Liberty Flames, or the Hokies apartment Liberty
- 9:27comes in at 6 and Let's start offensive side Braun I want to
- 9:32start with clearly a name. A lot of hope you spans.
- 9:35No well that's Malik Willis their quarterback, former
- 9:39hokitika. Mick who essentially decommitted
- 9:42from us. Flipped went to Auburn, stay
- 9:45down there for a couple years, then got shipped sensor, not
- 9:49shipped out, but then transfer himself to Liberty.
- 9:52And he's had a really, really good season.
- 9:54So far, Brian another duel correctly, quarterback.
- 9:58So forth 1122 yards, passing nine touchdowns to one
- 10:02interception, great ratio there. 67% completions.
- 10:07He does lead his team in rushing with 495 yards at seven a rush
- 10:13which I'm sure for a lot of these fans.
- 10:16They're having now, bad flashbacks of all the previous
- 10:19year, mobile quarterbacks burning us, he had six wrecks
- 10:22down yet another six touchdowns of that.
- 10:25So, 15 total touchdowns or him. He is top 20 in completion
- 10:30percentage. Also top 20 responsible for at
- 10:3318. He is fourth in yards per Rush.
- 10:40Which is the highest for a quarterback in the country.
- 10:44So you know, clearly best Russian quarterback in the
- 10:48country. Based on the stats Braun what
- 10:52makes him so dangerous and why he's putting up these kind of
- 10:57numbers. He's got good Vision, once he
- 11:01finds the lane, he does a great job of turning a lot of games in
- 11:07the big games. We sought a lot in the Syracuse
- 11:11tape that I watched turning a couple of those that look like,
- 11:15okay, well he's running like a quarterback lead sweep and all
- 11:19of a sudden he cuts it up and it's like a 30 yard game.
- 11:23So he does that a lot. Pretty good in the scramble
- 11:27drill finds openings in the pass rush lanes and takes advantage
- 11:32of those making linebackers missing space.
- 11:35So he's someone that we definitely keep an eye on.
- 11:37I'm just like the offense is a whole reminds me a lot of kind
- 11:39of Like I'll be I'll call it what it is like a little bit of
- 11:43a poor man's Louisville. Run a lot of Zone read and our
- 11:47po Concepts sometimes, they'll take shots out of the RPO.
- 11:53Sometimes it's more about trying to confuse the confuse the the
- 11:59the linebackers and hitting, some of those intermediate
- 12:02routes. So but we'll is primarily is
- 12:05going to try to beat you with his legs.
- 12:07He's efficient with his arm, as you said, I mean he's leaving up
- 12:11there with quarterback efficiency but he is not.
- 12:14Someone that's going to consistently beat you with his
- 12:17arm. He's going to definitely look to
- 12:18be a run first quarterback. Also will bring, you know, you
- 12:26mentioned that about his legs. And then, you know, we give the
- 12:29running staff, but then you say, well, you know, he's legs first,
- 12:32but he still has a very good rapport with his primary target.
- 12:37His favorite Target from a leak, the five foot, nine hundred
- 12:40eighty five pound wide receiver. DJ stub so far Stubbs this year.
- 12:44Twenty seven receptions for 375 yards about 14 yards per catch
- 12:50with three touchdowns. He's a three star.
- 12:54He is out of Florida. He is naughty transfer the,
- 12:58there's a lot of them that are transferring into Liberty.
- 13:03You know, he doesn't really jump out in one specific category you
- 13:08know in the country but when a team like this is running the
- 13:11ball, you know, over 60%, you know, right at 40, 39 percent,
- 13:17you know, passing the ball, you really wouldn't expect Him to do
- 13:21that. So kind of makes sense, but he
- 13:23is doubling up the other receivers on this team in
- 13:28receptions and is yards. So, I feel like we've got to go
- 13:31a little bit more in-depth on DJ, what are you seeing from
- 13:35him, and what do they like to do with Imran?
- 13:38So, in the pass game, and I'll go ahead and break down the pass
- 13:41game, a little bit more here as well.
- 13:43I've noticed that it looks like they like to in the games that
- 13:47they played weaker competition. They thrown it more and in games
- 13:53that they have a little more of a stout front, they've actually
- 13:55run it more. Yes.
- 13:58So a lot of the games where Willis had a lot of those
- 14:03passing yards, came against teams that I would consider more
- 14:05inferior competition relative to Liberty.
- 14:08Okay. Versus some of the other games
- 14:10that they played, where the competition was close to level
- 14:15or in the same ballpark like your Syracuse's but the way they
- 14:19use DJ stuff, They use them a lot in the intermediate routes
- 14:22on the RPO and they take a lot of shots with them out of the
- 14:24RPO. Okay, I've seen him run some,
- 14:29some digs and some Slants, some kind of square ins and I've seen
- 14:37him Get taking, you take a couple shots down the field with
- 14:42them in the on a fade or go route.
- 14:46So they'll use them kind of in different ways.
- 14:47They're not going to really run a full route tree with them, but
- 14:51they do like to work the intermediate area, the field
- 14:54with them and they'll take some shots with it.
- 14:57So it sounds like Bron the reason.
- 14:58He's probably leading this team in receptions, as he probably is
- 15:01the guy who can do all the things as compared.
- 15:05When you see a god double up and you just mention it there, he's
- 15:08taken deep shot, he's running some internet.
- 15:10He's not doing a massive route tree but he's going deep.
- 15:13He's from the digs, he's running across the middle, he's running
- 15:15some Square ends, kind of makes sense why he is their leading
- 15:18wide receiver, but but Ron, let's just be straight up with
- 15:21it. I mean, you take a look, there
- 15:24running 6040. Obviously, the running game is a
- 15:27huge. We've already hit Willis up a
- 15:30little bit about what he's doing, but three running backs,
- 15:33Josh Mac paid and pick it and she'd read Louise.
- 15:36They're averaging respectively, Mac, five and a half per carry
- 15:39Peyton. You get five per carry and she
- 15:42drove Louis 8.7 of carry. The team is number six in the
- 15:48country. Russian Football, 255 yards, a
- 15:52game, 14, total touchdowns. Now, Brian, I do want to look at
- 15:57it as our offensive line. I know, you'll probably hit that
- 15:59but they kind of rank kind of in the middle.
- 16:02Given up sacks bout to a game but they in kind of in the
- 16:06middle third down percentage at 43.9.
- 16:09So So what not only, why are they having such a good rushing
- 16:15attack with these guys and what's their line doing?
- 16:18That helps them there but maybe not this good in pass
- 16:21protection. Sure.
- 16:24So the big thing that they have, you mentioned it Cesar Luis, he
- 16:29is their big play guy. He is very similar in both
- 16:34ability and Breakaway speed as we saw with Hawkins for
- 16:38Louisville. So okay.
- 16:40When you get to the second level, he will run away from
- 16:42you. So I liked our game plan that we
- 16:46had for Hawkins last week. I would pretty much like to see
- 16:50something similar to kind of hold him in check.
- 16:54Now the other two guys are significantly different in their
- 16:57their style of running. So Mac and Mac actually has as
- 17:02seen his snap count go down significantly since the first
- 17:06part of the season, but he's more of your kind of one cut,
- 17:10stick mover type back. Whereas Pickett is very much, a
- 17:15kind of, a bulldozer type back. He's the guy that can run over
- 17:19you but he's got just enough of a wiggle to kind of make things
- 17:23happen in space as well. But I like I said, I'm more
- 17:28worried about Louis in this case because I saw him hit two home
- 17:31runs against Syracuse including a 75-yard ER and I'm more
- 17:35concerned about the big play against the team like Liberty
- 17:39than I am with, you know, six and eight yard games because I
- 17:43feel like on the on the the whole we will be able to contain
- 17:47that but getting beat with one play.
- 17:49That's much harder to come back from.
- 17:56All right. What else were they doing in the
- 17:59running game? I mean, is it just?
- 18:00Is it just a Zone re-type stuff or they you know inside outside
- 18:04or what kind of making them what's making them?
- 18:11You'll see jet motion. You'll see three or four running
- 18:15backs in the backfield with Willis.
- 18:17They'll do a lot of mentioned earlier.
- 18:19Some lead quarterback sweeps. You know they like that a lot of
- 18:24gives Willis an opportunity to read a block and then cut a
- 18:28feel, they'll do that several different ways.
- 18:31Sometimes they'll just run that to the side where the running
- 18:35back is and let the running back lead.
- 18:37Sometimes they will, do they'll send jet motion towards where
- 18:43the running backs aligned, fake it to the fake, The Zone read
- 18:47and then let the the quarterback keep it towards the jet motion.
- 18:52Lift the Jetman be the lead blocker there.
- 18:54So See them kind of deploy a lot of different things there but
- 18:57they use window dressing to good effect.
- 19:00So it's going to be key that we kind of, don't chase guys, I
- 19:03don't have the football, don't want to get position in that
- 19:10case with with a guy that's not even not even get the football
- 19:13in his hand. So but their offensive line is
- 19:15good but they're not, they're not great, they're kind of
- 19:18undersized little more finesse type offensive line but they're
- 19:21very technically sound so that they've been coached Well, and
- 19:26they do a good job of staying on their blocks.
- 19:29So that they use, you know, track level athletes that they
- 19:33have had climbed to the next level and cause some Havoc
- 19:35there. So, it's going to be key that we
- 19:37shed blocks and have good run fits from our linebackers and
- 19:42our safeties and run coverage. I hear you man taking a look
- 19:47here. Looks like Sam Craig is their
- 19:49offensive line coach and it's looking through his not the
- 19:53biggest you know, resume Nay. So far, you know, like graduated
- 20:02from Murray State Arkansas, Monticello Southwest Baptist or
- 20:06some of his coaching stop. So clearly they have kind of
- 20:10found one kind of out of the NCAA D2.
- 20:15Rough. That is done a good job with
- 20:16what they've got there. So Brian let me ask this What do
- 20:22we do to stop? Because I feel like defensively,
- 20:28I feel like that's more important this week than offense
- 20:31just because, you know, we know what this offense when they're
- 20:33running, right? Can do defense has had the
- 20:36struggles this year? Yeah, they definitely been more
- 20:39up and down. They played some good games,
- 20:41they played some bad, they played some good halves, and
- 20:45they put together that with the bad half, and vice versa.
- 20:47So it'll be interesting to see how they do.
- 20:51You know, if, if I'm coaching them up, I'm telling my
- 20:54linebacker. Hers.
- 20:56You got to stay home, stay disciplined.
- 20:58Don't fall for the window dressing because that's going to
- 21:02be something where if we get one or two guys out of position on
- 21:05those, it can create some really big holes and once those line
- 21:09but those running backs, get to the second level, it could be,
- 21:12you know, lights out, especially if it's Lewis with the ball.
- 21:14If we can hold a good inside. I feel good about guys like
- 21:17Tisdale Connor and Taylor, they're going to need to come
- 21:21up, make some big plays on the edge and then the scramble drill
- 21:25to Wait, any of those plays on the edge getting turning into
- 21:29big gains and just in the passing game it's going to be
- 21:32kind of similar to what I say with Louisville.
- 21:34That's going to be keep their primary wide receiver threat in
- 21:37front of you. That's going to be stub.
- 21:39So you can keep stubs in front of you, stay home at the back of
- 21:42position and then make those plays as some of those running
- 21:46game. Russia's get spilled outside.
- 21:49I think we're going to be okay. Yeah, well I mean that was a
- 21:52reason he frees had success down the SEC.
- 21:55See, I mean that you're, you know, you beat Bama, he beat
- 21:58some of the better teams down there.
- 22:00The guy knows how to coach football, he scumbag there's no
- 22:04doubt about that, but also especially on the offensive
- 22:11side, very Innovative and a lot of the stuff.
- 22:13He's always done. Yeah.
- 22:19Any anything, any any when this higher was made, let me ask
- 22:23Brian where you shop? Man after everything that's come
- 22:29out recently. Absolutely not.
- 22:35Oh yeah. Indiscretions with school-issued
- 22:53cell phones and just say it. Exactly alarms.
- 23:58A little bit big alarms real quick.
- 24:26As good as the offensive defense is showing out pretty good to
- 24:29form. They are a top 10 Total Defense
- 24:32Ryan, they give up only 294 yards a game, they forced eight,
- 24:37turnovers in six games. So you as a defense, you
- 24:42probably are looking for more 10 to 12.
- 24:44So a little bit on the low side averaging about three sacks per
- 24:49game, which is pretty daggone, good and six tackles for loss.
- 24:52So, getting to the backfield, some even As good as those
- 24:57numbers say, Brian still there, given up 21 points per game.
- 25:01You would kind of expect, maybe a little less than that.
- 25:04So it's kind of interesting top 10 on third down stops.
- 25:07We've discussed our issues already with our third, down in
- 25:10the last few weeks. I don't like that.
- 25:14So Brian, what kind of Defense are they running?
- 25:17And why they've been so effective?
- 25:21So they run a hybrid 34 front, which for those that don't know.
- 25:26In this case what we're talking about is that you've got the
- 25:31positions that are really kind of different than make it the
- 25:33hybrid are the Bandit and Rover positions which in this case are
- 25:37their Edge rushers or guys that play the the traditional outside
- 25:42linebacker role in a 3-4 defense and the way they deployed the
- 25:46Bandit is more like a traditional 234 Edge Rush,
- 25:51usually lined up opposite, the strength.
- 25:55Rushing on the weak side, primarily a rush first player
- 26:00think of like a almost like a Von Miller type player would
- 26:04usually be that that Bandit role and sometimes they'll be in
- 26:10coverage but usually that's like covering the flat.
- 26:12They're usually not in any sort of middle of the feel
- 26:15responsibility and coverage. Then the Rover is the opposite
- 26:19of The Rover is more of a cover. First outside linebacker, very
- 26:24similar to how we deploy our wit, almost like a nipple, but
- 26:28they play a little bit closer to the line of scrimmage, sometimes
- 26:31in the Box sometimes out, depending on the alignment of
- 26:34the offense. Whether it's, you know, a heavy
- 26:36wide receiver set or something more, you know, one or two tight
- 26:39end. And so that kind of really gives
- 26:41them flexibility in how they mix up their fronts.
- 26:45You know, they'll kind of Shuffle their guys over where,
- 26:48when the band, It's rushing the passer.
- 26:51It almost looks like a almost like a 4-2 with just a stand-up
- 26:55defensive end to the weak side and then sometimes it looks more
- 26:59like a traditional 34 front of them that you're used to seeing
- 27:02a lot of teams run. So but they are a little bit
- 27:05smaller upfront than you would see what the typical 3-4 defense
- 27:09so their nose isn't huge, their tackle DNS or not very very big
- 27:16either so they're pretty Judge against the run because of that,
- 27:22they do have some good linebackers and they have a
- 27:26really great pass. Rush, especially those Edge
- 27:28guys, particularly the guy that plays the Bandit position for
- 27:31them, they did have some success in slowing down the passing game
- 27:35and it that's really predicated on getting after the quarterback
- 27:39and kind of mixing up where they're bringing the pressure
- 27:41from nice. Now, Brian, I do see, you know,
- 27:47The Edge be in the weakness. Let's hope we run outside Zone
- 27:51unlike against wait for us, where we should have ran inside
- 27:56Zone, but it's to hear about to get on.
- 27:58Yeah, I mean, the heart of their defense is the weakness because
- 28:05of the way, they mix up the alignment of the Bandit and
- 28:07Rover, sometimes that creates a softer Edge for them.
- 28:10So we should be able to get to the edge in the outside Zone and
- 28:13give Khalil Herbert some areas to either.
- 28:16Find the alley or cut back. Now Braun.
- 28:19I take a look at his defense and I was I was looking through
- 28:21their players, one got definitely stood out.
- 28:24Redshirt senior transfer from University, North Carolina,
- 28:28Charlotte in, you know, Anthony Butler six 1225 linebacker, 41,
- 28:33tackles three tackles for loss. One sack two interceptions,
- 28:39along with him run. Is there anybody else it on the
- 28:44defensive side of the ball that we need to really make work like
- 28:50work? Like if you tell me they're
- 28:51having to kill themselves to stop us I'll feel comfortable.
- 28:56Say they're not going to win this game.
- 28:57They're better. Players are dominate or getting
- 29:00dominated. Yeah, so other than Anthony
- 29:03Butler is going to be Darrell Johnson with Butler.
- 29:07I mean, he's a he's a lot of back at the inside linebacker,
- 29:10he gets really good reads and he pursues plays well.
- 29:13Sideline to sideline comes up and makes really sure tackles.
- 29:18He's also good in coverage, he has a two interceptions on the
- 29:20season. So he's a guy that can kind of
- 29:23make plays both in the Run game and the passing game, but we're
- 29:27looking at, probably the thing that could hurt us the most,
- 29:29it's going to be Darrell Johnson, the pass rusher.
- 29:32Sure, he plays that Bandit position that I've been talking
- 29:35about and he's probably the guy that concerns me the most,
- 29:39because when he can get after the quarterback, you know,
- 29:42that's when those the, the turnovers that they have Force,
- 29:46that's when those things come, whether it's forcing a throw,
- 29:49too quick for an interception, or tip ball or, you know, things
- 29:53like that. So, Darrell Johnson is probably
- 29:55the person I want to focus on neutralizing because he's the
- 29:57one that kind of hurts you in ways that are harder to overcome
- 30:02than It's like a two or three yard loss on a first down run or
- 30:05something like that. It's been Darrell Johnson and
- 30:09see a butler to Dame's to remember out there hokey fans as
- 30:13you're watching the game Saturday afternoon.
- 30:17So, Bryan, we look at the stats. We look at what they do.
- 30:21We look at a couple of their key players.
- 30:24How we attack in them, we are going to run the football run,
- 30:29the football and run the football we run.
- 30:32Run, run. Yeah, I don't want us to pass.
- 30:36Unless we're just trying to keep them honest, they start stacking
- 30:39the Box, we can start working in some passes but just the way
- 30:43they are front, I feel like we should be able to impose our
- 30:45will and almost run. It will again on this team.
- 30:50If we don't do that, I will be a little concerned.
- 30:53I want to stay ahead of the the sticks because of our troubles
- 30:55on third down. And because of what they like to
- 30:57do with the pass rush, if we can stay ahead of the sticks and get
- 31:01the third and shorts, I feel like we can convert more often
- 31:05than not and it gives us the choice of run or pass in those
- 31:09situations which will take some of the aggressiveness away from
- 31:13those Edge rushers in defensive ends that are trying to rush the
- 31:17passer. They've got a still on the Run,
- 31:20they can't just pin their ears back.
- 31:23I'm so that your gets to my other point here, converting, on
- 31:26third downs. We have to be better than we
- 31:27were last week in running on third down.
- 31:30If we're not, I'm not going to be happy winner lose and in the
- 31:35passing game. Honestly, the short stuff should
- 31:38work against these guys because of their aggression, I want to
- 31:41see short passes screens Throwbacks.
- 31:45We want to take advantage of the aggression that they like to
- 31:47rush the passer with and make that work in our favor.
- 31:50So what you're kind of saying Is the things that we have done
- 31:55best over the season early last week we I saw somebody out there
- 32:02kind of complaint about one of the drives where we do.
- 32:06We kick a field goal and we score where we pass the ball
- 32:09numerous times but it wasn't deep shots.
- 32:11It was Pepper, pop, pop, pop pop.
- 32:15And then we ran so it sounds like if we short pass, run, run,
- 32:21run for pass, we keep them honest and they start coming
- 32:25more and more up where second half we can go deep, right?
- 32:29Exactly. All right.
- 32:30Perfect Brian. Awesome.
- 32:47All right. Let's be straight up here.
- 32:50Brian. This is a 6 and 18.
- 32:55They're ranked for the first time I believe in their school
- 32:57history, but all six opponents are not created equal Ryan's.
- 33:08You and other people have talked about this, but let's, let's
- 33:11just look at a few things here. First of all, they played six
- 33:15opponents. Hey, Brian.
- 33:20The six opponents have won a combined four games.
- 33:24Yeah, they played more games in the, their opponents have one,
- 33:29they've lost 28. So let's take the Liberty with
- 33:32losses out of their they're combined for and 22.
- 33:37They're not winning 23% of their games.
- 33:42So these aren't that good? A teams in Southern Miss
- 33:49Northern Alabama, who was a SCS opponent who the Hokies were
- 33:52scheduled to play this year in September.
- 33:55That's why you Western Kentucky, you LM in Syracuse Syracuse
- 34:00player with the ACC. We've talked about them.
- 34:04They are the worst team in the ACC, I think they have one win
- 34:08and that was over. Georgia Tech.
- 34:09No, not Georgia Tech, Georgia Tech.
- 34:14Okay, let's just do some rankings, first of all, we can't
- 34:17even look at North Alabama because they're not in the FBS.
- 34:21We have no statistical data on them.
- 34:25Brian you ready for it? Breaking down but you mentioned
- 34:29in the right man is tall. Fences lighten up.
- 34:32We mentioned the staff they're good. when you play teams ranked
- 34:3741, Which is the best 8086 67, and 91.
- 34:47I hope you were putting up points.
- 34:49I hope you were putting up a lot of yards because if you're not,
- 34:54you're probably worse than them significantly.
- 34:58Now I'll be straight up. We are not a juggernaut, we're
- 35:02at 83, so down in there. I think we played significantly
- 35:06better competition offensively than them.
- 35:10Southern Miss and you LM. And if I, you know, we have
- 35:15because you know why Not good.
- 35:41It gets worse significantly. You LM is at 92.
- 35:47Western Kentucky is at 96. FIU is at 97 in Syracuse, who is
- 35:54the only one that's playing Division. 1 significant
- 35:56competition is at 100. Syracuse would have made that
- 36:00game interesting. Your Tommy DeVito was starting
- 36:02true. Now I'll pay this defensively
- 36:07what you can tuck your arms 41, right?
- 36:09But their best to defensive games came against Chattanooga
- 36:15was Chattanooga. Brian.
- 36:17They're an SDS cool, you know, but yeah, yeah, yeah, SES,
- 36:20absolutely, your nausea Middle. Tennessee State Milton as he
- 36:25States. Another one of the worst teams.
- 36:27If you don't remember watching the army game, where they go
- 36:31wham bolt, if you take those two performances out, Western
- 36:35Kentucky is giving up 38 points per game.
- 36:39That's the best defense. They played now Virginia Tech on
- 36:42the offensive side of the ball. This will be the best offense.
- 36:45This team has seen we Are ranked 16th in the country total
- 36:49offense, the number for rushing offense. and as we say that
- 36:55Brian and as I put that out there, I think we've got a once
- 37:03the terminology for. I think we have a paper
- 37:05Champion. Okay, okay, your paper tinker
- 37:10But the game still has to be played, right?
- 37:14It still has to be played and there's a
- 37:31contest that we absolutely. So, let's flip it Brian, because
- 37:37clearly, we still got to play the game.
- 37:39They're still pivotal Players that we need to mention.
- 37:42Let's start on defense. Brian.
- 37:44I know I don't have it in that order but let's start on
- 37:46defense. The number one moving up and I
- 37:50feel like either they have been on this list or the entire group
- 37:55has been on this list every week who's our number one, he
- 37:59tackles. And why is that D tackles you
- 38:02need to play well because they run the ball a lot We cannot.
- 38:10Void areas in the middle of the offense and let Lewis just get
- 38:14to the second level without any sort of push back or somebody
- 38:21getting an arm on. I mean, even if you don't make
- 38:23the tackle, we just need to he can't just have a hole where he
- 38:28can really get to the second level at full speed.
- 38:31So defensive tackle play is going to be important, spilling
- 38:34stuff outside with those. Those good fills from our
- 38:38linebackers is going to be important but If the defensive
- 38:40tackles are getting moved out of their fits which they shouldn't
- 38:47because again, this is not a team that that can move you
- 38:52around very much, even if you are undersized, just like they
- 38:55are so defensive tackles need to hold up.
- 38:59If they hold up, I like our chances here, let me ask this.
- 39:03You think we see more fuga run. Again obviously Crawford's back
- 39:07we saw Crawford a lot on the field last week.
- 39:09Like, here's what I'd like to see you in.
- 39:12This is no disrespect to Hewitt. I'd like to see Crawford and
- 39:18Hinton, Kendricks, run the front line, okay?
- 39:21And let Q it work with fuga in the second line, okay?
- 39:27You balance under sized with, very good size and then you have
- 39:31the two guys that are kind of in the to 90 range on the front
- 39:34line together. That's what I would do.
- 39:39Okay, I can I'm assuming you thinking.
- 39:41No rails, just third down. Specialist third and over 5.
- 39:45He's in her garden. Honestly, we're starting to get
- 39:50it. The tackle position as guys are
- 39:51getting healthy. You know, having him have
- 39:55another year and get some more size where he's not having to
- 39:58play. The front line is probably a
- 40:00good thing for us. Absolutely.
- 40:02Because I like his, I like his top inability, but I'd like to
- 40:06see him put on another 10 or 15 pounds before.
- 40:08He's a 3 on player for us night in Night Out.
- 40:13Absolutely. Another guy that's made this
- 40:16list and when you mentioned earlier Louisville, we talked
- 40:20about it, Alan Tisdale once again in our pivotal players
- 40:26role because of the Dual threat quarterback and all the things
- 40:30he can do. Obviously, on defense, dropping
- 40:34run, blitzes past, blitzes actually covering people and
- 40:39spine athletic quarterbacks. Now, what are you put Malek's
- 40:44this Malek's? Malik Willis has compared to
- 40:48Cunningham's level more of a problem for for Tuesday or less.
- 40:53That's a really great question, man.
- 40:55I think this offense Needs Willis to run more than
- 41:03Louisville needed Cunningham to run.
- 41:05Okay. But I think Cunningham overall
- 41:08is the better athlete, so kind of hedging.
- 41:11My bets are a little bit. You know what you're saying?
- 41:16Malik, we did not see. I don't think we saw one
- 41:19quarterback draw against us. I'd have to go back in the
- 41:24memory and look at it. Don't remember any drawers?
- 41:26I remember the scrambles Compared to where Malik is what
- 41:32they do. Clearly he's leading the team in
- 41:35rushing the ball, in his hands so much where Tisdale may not be
- 41:40playing coverage or may not be Blitzen as much where he's just
- 41:43stay with that guy. And if he decides to run, find
- 41:46him and get him down. Yeah.
- 41:49It's gonna be a design runs and design runs where there isn't
- 41:52any sort of. You know, passing misdirection
- 41:55into. It's definitely going to be more
- 41:57of the window dressing in the backfield with the motion.
- 42:01Then it is going to necessarily be like the drawers that we saw
- 42:05with Cunningham's so you know and you're going to see a lot
- 42:09more, you know, the sweeps with the quarterback sometimes with
- 42:13it that lead blocker, whether it's the jet man or whether it's
- 42:15the running back. So it's going to be A tall order
- 42:20stopping the running game, and staying disciplined.
- 42:23They're so from that perspective, I guess, I think
- 42:26Willis is probably a little more dangerous, but I think I like
- 42:30Cunningham's athleticism a little bit more.
- 42:33Yeah, yeah. Now the third guy.
- 42:34Brian, I didn't get a chance to I was tending, the baseball
- 42:37practice. And when I say, hey, finish the
- 42:39list real quick, man, just because I'm not gonna have time
- 42:43baseball game and I practice, why'd you put Shamari third
- 42:46tamori. Connor number three.
- 42:48Because of how much they run the ball man.
- 42:50He's going to be relied on heavily setting the edge,
- 42:55caching the trash, it's getting spilled outside, getting some
- 42:59good run fills in there. We're going to be relying on him
- 43:03heavily. He's probably also at some some
- 43:05points with Tisdale's not spying on Willis, he's going to be the
- 43:09guy that spying Willis. So he's going to be called on to
- 43:11do a whole lot in the running game and honestly the area that
- 43:15he's weakest in in the past the game is probably not going to
- 43:17be. Is glaring against a team like
- 43:20this. So I think he's going to be a
- 43:23guy to look for and have a standout game.
- 43:26Got it. All right, so there's your three
- 43:30pivotal key players on defense. The defensive tackle groups.
- 43:35Allen Tisdale tomorrow Connor, let's flip over the offensive.
- 43:39Number one, when you told me how they looked up front, it was not
- 43:44even a question. That is juice Herbert.
- 43:47Yep, we don't run the ball all day and, you know, I'm calling
- 43:53it now. He's going to be he's going to
- 43:55break 200. All right, so he's breaking 200.
- 43:58Is he going to break the Thousand?
- 43:59We going to hit that was a 2007 he needs.
- 44:02Yeah, I've got him clipping unless we get out way way big
- 44:06way earlier. We just start resting a lot of
- 44:09the starters. He's going to get these on.
- 44:11Get that 2007. All right I'll get the 2007.
- 44:15Well if well the honest truth is though even if we're resting if
- 44:19we're a big, he might have broke two or three over 40 so he still
- 44:23might have got the to us. He still might be closed yet.
- 44:26You, all right. The second set of guys.
- 44:30Again this is what Brian. We hit the first two guys on
- 44:33defense, and then I had to step away.
- 44:36I'm not shocked once you talked about Darrell.
- 44:39I saw him almost mention them, but I didn't Luke 2 Nu du and
- 44:46Christian Darris are offensive tackles as the number two
- 44:49pivotal player on offense. Ryan, you've already hit it once
- 44:53but just just, you know, recalibrate why you feel?
- 44:56They're important in both aspects of our offense.
- 45:00I mean seals on the outside Zone and keeping Darrell Johnson away
- 45:04from Hendon hooker and any passing games where they can
- 45:07really, you know, pin their ears back and come after Herbert.
- 45:10I mean come after hooker can I ask you a question?
- 45:13Yeah. As Darrell seeing anybody near
- 45:17as good as Darius are two new do.
- 45:20Two new to may be in the ballpark there are so he'll
- 45:23know, okay? Because I think I see your
- 45:30number 3 on this. Big Stone Gap and Nick Gallo.
- 45:38Are you putting on there because of the rail because of they're
- 45:40going to be helping or is it more passing game?
- 45:42Or is it a little combination of both the combination of both?
- 45:46We're going to look at some probably some screens and short
- 45:49passes and Throwbacks. That's James Mitchell.
- 45:52And McGowan Wald a running game they're going to be responsible
- 45:57for chipping helping seal getting up on some of their
- 46:01backers to make sure that there's some Lanes outside for
- 46:04Herbert to really take advantage of.
- 46:07So they're gonna be needed on both aspects of the offense both
- 46:10running past and I like both of them to have a good day and I
- 46:14like James Mitchell to probably have a pretty big day.
- 46:19I hear you Mitchell. You know we knew Mitchell was
- 46:21going to be as was going to be a star in every every aspect this
- 46:25year. But I'll tell you what Nick
- 46:27Gallo has really proven himself in these first six games not
- 46:32only as a blocker, but make it in some timely catches and in a
- 46:36way where The focus of a lot of those linebackers and safeties.
- 46:39Go to Big Stone is when Nick's kind of come through it, some
- 46:43good catches and it's great having especially after losing
- 46:48Dalton. And it's awesome that he has
- 46:51stepped in the way, he stepped. Yeah, absolutely.
- 46:54He's definitely, he's played about as well as I hoped.
- 46:59He would play when we were talking about all this stuff
- 47:01preseason. So, hats off to make Gallo so
- 47:04far. Absolutely.
- 47:06All right, let's hit real quick. Released earlier today, Dean
- 47:09Ferguson gets to 25. I saw somebody make a joke.
- 47:13We're not going to see him a lot.
- 47:15I feel like dean's out there. A tunnel special teams.
- 47:19Maybe I'm missing it but I feel like on kick return punt return
- 47:21units. He is there and clearly sure he
- 47:26is on pretty much every standard special except for a field goal.
- 47:34Yeah, which is lucky for a linebacker.
- 47:37Because usually, that's going to be your offensive grouping, but
- 47:40good for him guy that maybe in the next couple of years, we Ste
- 47:45into a starting role in the line back and forth.
- 47:48I Brian near and dear to our hearts.
- 47:52Well, kind of, it's all Maroon. I like it.
- 47:57Just take away the stripes, God, take away.
- 48:07Just make art from the chest plate down.
- 48:11It's perfect. It's so true.
- 48:16When I read it, it's only halfway.
- 48:29There it is. I'm looking at it.
- 48:31Now they're the freakin Stripes, why maroon maroon Rune beautiful
- 48:38white. V T right there, on the right on
- 48:41the collar bone. It would be great.
- 48:43The helmets fine. I'm actually okay with me on the
- 48:45stripes, on the helmet. Yeah.
- 48:49Test below that below own room. On the shoulder pads?
- 49:09Yes. Why does bad?
- 49:10These are God awful. So we've got the 25.
- 49:20Let's get to our predictions, run.
- 49:23You loved last week. I'm going to leave this week,
- 49:27putting the Hokies in the win column this week.
- 49:30Hey, hey we're back. I don't think liberal he's
- 49:35played anybody and I Ali. See us.
- 49:40Hopefully shedding them and for the people like, Norm would who
- 49:45put them in the top 25 without doing research, because I hate
- 49:50to say this. If Virginia Tech played that
- 49:52sort of scheduled Norm would have us at like 36, so he's at
- 49:57a, they're doing a disservice to journalism because you're not
- 50:01doing any research. They played literally, I think
- 50:04there's a third worst schedule in the country.
- 50:07Yeah, they I want all their games, but be honest.
- 50:09Give me 4828 VT, okay? I'm right there with you, but
- 50:16I'm not quite as high in both columns, but I'm right there on
- 50:20the spread. Give me, 45, 24, V T all day.
- 50:27All right. So, there we go.
- 50:32For the Capper on Know The Enemy, and let's move over.
- 50:36As I look at it. It's 31 23 now.
- 50:41Yeah, we were inside the 10 and we went for it on fourth and one
- 50:45and you know, somebody who usually doesn't play for got to
- 50:48block a linebacker on the quarterback sneak.
- 50:51I'm shocked. Not that shocked.
- 50:55Let's take a look and do some of our picks.
- 50:57Yes. Last week as we Mentioned
- 50:59Saturday night. You guys heard on Monday?
- 51:02We had our worst week ever and I was 17.
- 51:05Brian was two and six. We kept.
- 51:08Yeah, we act all over the place. This was this was like, you
- 51:14know, Guy in college, we know would just get housed.
- 51:19Pass out, puke all over himself, that's what we did.
- 51:24I know that guy, you know that guy if he's listening tomorrow,
- 51:29you know who you are. Another page.
- 51:43Feel free to do so. Call yourself out.
- 51:45Everybody's had their moments but let's take a look at some of
- 51:48these pics Prime. Let's start with NC State Miami
- 51:53tomorrow night, Miami laying, 10 and a half.
- 51:57What are you feeling on this one, buddy?
- 52:01Man. I'm going to take Miami thing
- 52:09will go with Miami here. Yeah I just I'm not sure about
- 52:13NC State with Hockman and I think Miami does just enough to
- 52:21clear the 10 and a half there. It's true man.
- 52:24And you know last week, you know, given sea State, you know,
- 52:30we sort of mean both went with We essentially both went with NC
- 52:37State. No, that was a couple weeks ago
- 52:39so my bad. Look at the wrong thing.
- 52:41I feel like Carolina screwed us out.
- 52:44Last week, right? They were like 13 and a half
- 52:46Point favorite. So I'm thinking of another game
- 52:48but I'm with you it's icy. Miami on this one, kind of
- 52:52bouncing back laying the ten and a half, I think they probably
- 52:56win the game somewhere in the neighborhood of you know 3521.
- 53:01I don't I just can't see NC State's going.
- 53:04Enough to keep it within 24 hours.
- 53:08Yep, I've got a 12 to 14 point spread in my head as well.
- 53:11So I mean I don't think it's a it's a solid but I think it's,
- 53:16you know, good enough to beat the two and a half there.
- 53:19Absolutely. Alright.
- 53:21Next, let's look at UNC Duke UNC laying 11 and a half.
- 53:26I know this is a rivalry game and everything, but we've seen
- 53:30Duke play in. Do you give it against us, where
- 53:33we were? Down and having struggles.
- 53:37They still lost Us by two points.
- 53:39I do not count that field goal. If you, if you lost, you know,
- 53:45curse at the head coach because only he had some money and he
- 53:49took his side but I can't see him keeping it this close.
- 53:54I see Carolina with what they do offensive ly.
- 53:58I mean, I could see this like a 42.
- 53:59I could see the similar to the NC State game like in, you know,
- 54:03you can see gets into the low. 40s and do maybe various 20.
- 54:09Okay, okay, I'm I'm right there with you.
- 54:12I think it's a UNC bounce back. I don't I just don't see them
- 54:20laying two eggs like that back-to-back, against what you
- 54:23would call secondary rivalry teams.
- 54:29So Give me UNC there. Exactly.
- 54:34Yeah. That's right.
- 54:35UNC lost to UVA. So they screwed us last week to
- 54:38laying that seven, when they couldn't get out of their own
- 54:40way. All right.
- 54:42It was an interesting one here because it's another double
- 54:47digit line. Syracuse BC, BC is laying 13 and
- 54:52a half. Now Brian, I presented to you a
- 54:55little bit earlier how bad Syracuse was both on the
- 54:59offensive and defensive side. Side of the ball.
- 55:02Yes. Is that enough for you to lay 13
- 55:07and a half would be C? Or are you going to go the other
- 55:11way? Yeah, this is a tough one
- 55:16because I don't necessarily like Syracuse is not great but
- 55:20probably what their defense does okay yet is his coverage in the
- 55:26passing game. I think they give up a ton in
- 55:29the in the rushing game. BC does not rush the ball with
- 55:33any degree of efficiency. I'm going to take Syracuse.
- 55:42All right. Brian takes is like a 10 point
- 55:44win by BC, but I don't think they get to the 39.
- 55:48Bryan taking Syracuse, land, 13 and a half.
- 55:56I can't, I can't do that because I think it's even as Good as
- 56:03okay? Syracuse is on the back end.
- 56:06I think BC might have got a little bit of Confidence from
- 56:10that game last week against Clemson.
- 56:12So I am going to lay the Thirteen and a half and I'm
- 56:16going to be risking it because I see this as like a 14 to 16
- 56:18point game and this is like the ones where it's like you see and
- 56:24you like yeah that's like a 16 or 14 point game and then
- 56:27immediately take it off your books.
- 56:29Like now we can't screw that one.
- 56:30That's what tickles. It's of what my head is saying.
- 56:33So yeah, give me BC in that case.
- 56:36All right, Brian, we've got our first real toss-up game of the
- 56:39day. Here pit.
- 56:41FSU FSU is the favorite here laying to I have no clue.
- 56:48How is Paris Ford worth, you know, FSU being favored, maybe,
- 56:56maybe not but that's still a solid defense.
- 56:58Even as bad as pick it is, it is one of The worst defensive teams
- 57:03will play all year. I'll take pit in this case, to
- 57:07break their losing streak and to, you know, sort of to right
- 57:13the wrong as they get ready to come into hokey land and play
- 57:18the Hokies in a couple weeks here.
- 57:20So give me pit, give me the two points.
- 57:29I want to go the same direction with you buddy, okay?
- 57:34It is a look great on the back end.
- 57:36Even with Paris for this year, they've been averaging best and
- 57:40some games they've been pretty awful.
- 57:44They're going to be great upfront regardless.
- 57:49So I think that's going to be enough to give them the
- 57:52advantage here, so give me pit. Nothing pit wins it out, right?
- 57:59Yep, same thing. I think that one's it out right
- 58:01to go to 4 and forth and possibly be above 500 coming
- 58:05into the game against Virginia Tech.
- 58:07All right, we're going to go for two out of conference games and
- 58:09we're going to come back to the biggest game of the weekend and
- 58:12all the college football tomorrow night, 9:30.
- 58:17I probably will not see this game.
- 58:20I, you know, I got to play it smart, right?
- 58:22We stay up. Late on Saturdays, we're
- 58:24watching games late. We're recording.
- 58:26We're drinking beer having a good time.
- 58:28BYU, Boise number nine. BYU number 21, Boise, This is at
- 58:35the Blue Smurf. Turf with over Boise has been
- 58:40good, pretty much you know ever since they became relevant about
- 58:4415 years ago, they are home dogs.
- 58:48BYU is laying three and a half. So Boise getting three and a
- 58:53half at home here. Brian.
- 58:55What are you seeing on this game?
- 58:59Man. Um, You know, I'm gonna go with
- 59:03the historical numbers here and I'm going to take Boise State in
- 59:06the three and a half. Alright, believe it or not.
- 59:10I'm right with you because this is going to be BYU's.
- 59:14First real challenge of the year.
- 59:18They hadn't their competition into this point.
- 59:21You know, is I take a look through the data here, the
- 59:25competition up to this point for BYU.
- 59:29It's not been that great BYU. This is who they played this
- 59:34year. Brian you're ready?
- 59:35They played maybe week one. What do we find out about Navy
- 59:39after that game? They hadn't been tackling at
- 59:44practice. The most competitive games with
- 1:00:02Houston and then Texas state in Western Kentucky.
- 1:00:07I think this is the best roster DLC.
- 1:00:08I think it's the best, skiing, they'll see, give me the three
- 1:00:12and a half with you, Brian. I think Boise pulls the outright
- 1:00:17upset and I think BYU goes tumbling back to Earth.
- 1:00:21Even the Wilson kid. Yeah.
- 1:00:23Yeah. Even the Wilson kids going to
- 1:00:25Tumble back to the Earth. Yeah.
- 1:00:29Got to go against the main sometime.
- 1:00:31Alright, it's okay. Next one, go to the SEC, top 10
- 1:00:38matchup 5 versus a date. One of my favorite games of the
- 1:00:42year, always. Always has been since I was a
- 1:00:47kid. The world's largest outdoor
- 1:00:52cocktail party. It is not the world's largest
- 1:00:55outdoor party. It is the world's largest
- 1:00:57outdoor cocktail party and if anybody tries to tell you any
- 1:01:00different, say no, you're wrong. My coworker and someone you know
- 1:01:08big Georgia fan always goes down.
- 1:01:11We've heard some of her stories from down there, it gets pretty
- 1:01:15insane. That's got to be one of those.
- 1:01:18It's on my bucket list to just go down there and be like a
- 1:01:21neutral Observer just like sit in the middle and just like
- 1:01:24let's see how stupid you people get but on this game brine
- 1:01:28Florida Georgia. Georgia is laying three and a
- 1:01:32half. And as much as I love Tammy,
- 1:01:38I've got to go for the simple fact.
- 1:01:42George has played one, good offense all year and Bam a
- 1:01:46little Mama. This is the second death
- 1:01:48offense. They'll see not a good a defense
- 1:01:52but I don't think they keep up with Florida.
- 1:01:54I think Florida get somewhere like 27 28.
- 1:01:58I think Georgia is a tick behind probably 20 124.
- 1:02:06I think it's gonna be a hell of a game, but I see that I'll take
- 1:02:11the points because I'm thinking Florida wins this game outright
- 1:02:17Man, another week we're agreeing a whole lot on God, it was
- 1:02:23great. Have you decided what your legal
- 1:03:18limit bet is for the weak, it's coming, I'm just interested.
- 1:03:31Fourth fourth, plus 140 in a money line bet.
- 1:03:37So, what is it better Hunter to win, 140?
- 1:03:40That would be a pretty good that would not be a bad bad, man.
- 1:03:44It's not like, you're not getting into the 200 where you
- 1:03:47see some of these Bedding. Experts like they see a line at
- 1:03:50like plus five Hunters like yeah, but that team could play
- 1:03:52good enough to beat that team. Screw it.
- 1:03:55So it's hilarious. All right, bro.
- 1:03:59Notre Dame, Clemson number one versus number 4.
- 1:04:03DT. Trevor Lawrence out.
- 1:04:06DJ ukulele! Yeah!
- 1:04:09That's what my cousin from South Carolina to me a little gift.
- 1:04:12It was like, you gotta lay and it's the GOP but it's the joy of
- 1:04:20where she's going through all them.
- 1:04:22And at the end, he says, ukulele.
- 1:04:27Clemson, I liked what I saw from ukulele, despite it being
- 1:04:42closed, I feel like Clemson kind of felt its way around in the
- 1:04:46first half and then got their footing in the second half.
- 1:04:50I like them coming out, knowing what they're going to do this
- 1:04:54week with a little bit more time to Install the game, playing
- 1:04:58around this quarterback and around what they can do with
- 1:05:02them. So, give me Clemson covering the
- 1:05:06five and twelve laying the five and a half there.
- 1:05:09Yeah. And this is my legal limit and I
- 1:05:12am right with you, man. And did we disagree on anything?
- 1:05:16Nope, we disagreed on T. He C Qs.
- 1:05:23I gotta go here with Clemson and Because if I'm half just it's I
- 1:05:30haven't seen enough out of Notre Dame that tells me that they're
- 1:05:33going to either outscore or hold Clemson down, right?
- 1:05:39They've given us some important, some suspect teams, they've been
- 1:05:42held down by some suspect him. This is not a suspect team.
- 1:05:46This is also a team with a lot of talent that kind of got
- 1:05:50scared last week, right? Yeah.
- 1:05:53They got scared last week, so I think they probably had one I
- 1:05:56love a good practice week. I think it's going to be a good
- 1:06:00game, but I see this as like a 10-point game.
- 1:06:03I see this some my vision. I see like 27:17, I think
- 1:06:09Clemson's probably going to slow it down, play a little more run
- 1:06:11than just trying to flick it out like they would launch.
- 1:06:14So between etn and ukulele. Sighs, give me that five and a
- 1:06:18half. Yeah, I don't think Notre Dame
- 1:06:20is gonna be able to run the ball like they have all season
- 1:06:22against Clemson. So no, I've got it somewhere in
- 1:06:24like the probably Clemson getting to like 30, 35
- 1:07:42The way I haven't been sleeping. The last few nights between
- 1:07:44school and the selection and everything else, man.
- 1:07:50Absolutely nothing. I'm gonna need a couple of
- 1:07:53nights where I can get some shut-eye on time.
- 1:07:56I hear you, man. I hear you.
- 1:07:58I'm scrolling real quick. I'm not seeing anything.
- 1:08:06Yeah, I'm not seeing anything additional breaking unless you
- 1:08:08are what some on this ground man.
