- 0:33feature length? Yes.
- 0:35Episode from their their series into the dark TV episode movie.
- 0:38Otherwise known as TV movie. Yeah.
- 0:41Yes sure. We're there into the dark
- 0:47series. We were watching the a
- 0:48feature-length episode titled New Year.
- 0:51New You know because happy New Year almost it's going to be
- 0:56near on Sunday 2023. So we wanted to shed light on
- 1:04one of our favorite themed movies.
- 1:08Yeah. You don't see a whole lot of New
- 1:10Year's. We're out there.
- 1:11Yeah, we haven't really watched a lot to be fair.
- 1:13Yeah. Watched Terra train and this, I
- 1:15think. Yeah.
- 1:16Well, we also watch New Year's kiss, which you.
- 1:18Oh my God. Yeah, that's a good one.
- 1:21That's also an into the dark. I hate that one.
- 1:23Okay. Maybe next year, no, next year.
- 1:25And next year is going to be a very special one, because this
- 1:30coming month, I'm going to be filling.
- 1:34Yeah, what's it called again? New Year's Eve.
- 1:38That's right. Look me up.
- 1:40The Amy Holden NBD. Yeah.
- 1:42Yeah no lines. This is my plan.
- 1:45Yeah, it's fine. It's exciting still.
- 1:49Yeah. Okay, so we have several
- 1:53announcements before we get support results.
- 1:56One is that we're big dummies. Uh, last week we said that we
- 2:01said several times that Margot Kidder is in the.
- 2:03Yeah. Seems extreme a cup like
- 2:05Chris's. I don't know where we both got
- 2:08this idea and we were just so confidently in.
- 2:11Correct. And we watched black Christmas
- 2:13after recording that episode and we are like that looks a lot
- 2:17more like Phil. Yeah.
- 2:18Less. Like, the bar totally fill.
- 2:20I woke up and I was like, yeah, it's Andrea Martin.
- 2:22It's not, it's not Margot Kidder.
- 2:25So correction there, we put the correction in our show notes,
- 2:28but if you listen to the episode, before we put that
- 2:30correction out, sorry. At least it's still a Legacy
- 2:33character. It is so Legacy character.
- 2:35Well, Lexi actress. What?
- 2:37Yeah, so that's that. At our next announcement, is
- 2:42that if you are a budget level Patron, then we are still
- 2:47working on, getting December's bonus, episode app to you.
- 2:51We had fully plan to do it this weekend.
- 2:53So, here's the deal. If you're in the midwest with
- 2:55us, I hope you're okay. I hope everything in your house
- 2:59is fine and that you survived the weekend.
- 3:01It was really rough weather wise, and we've had some other
- 3:05personal stuff going on. So between our house, being a
- 3:08full 15 degrees colder than It was set because our theater just
- 3:13couldn't keep up and the other stuff we're dealing with.
- 3:16It was just good for us to have a weekend cuddled up on the
- 3:19couch with her girls and surviving and surviving and
- 3:23just, you know, enjoying the closeness.
- 3:24It's what we needed. And ideally, if it hadn't
- 3:29dropped to negative 30, we would have recorded her bonus episode
- 3:34over the weekend. It's okay.
- 3:35We've got it. Yeah, we've got it.
- 3:37Figured out what we're going to do and we will get it out before
- 3:39the new month and then New Year? Yeah, it might be.
- 3:42It might literally be December 31st, but that's fine.
- 3:46We're gonna do it. It's gonna be a game.
- 3:48We decide we're gonna have a game episode.
- 3:50If you've been paying attention, then you are really, you know,
- 3:52what the game is going to be. And then I'm just going to go
- 3:55ahead and take the moment to plug patreon for a couple
- 3:58reasons. One, is because also starting
- 4:01earlier this week, we are going to have the poll open.
- 4:04Oh yeah, for Jasmine, January is movie so that's going to be open
- 4:09until I'm gonna A Friday night. So if you're somebody that
- 4:13listens release day or day, after then you have time to go
- 4:18ahead and go subscribe to our budget level patreon.
- 4:22You can also join the ranks of Aragon VV of shaken and scared.
- 4:26Joe. As is his full name and Amber
- 4:30and be one of our patrons and a special shout-out and other
- 4:33additional perks. Yes.
- 4:34Thank you guys so much. We really appreciate you.
- 4:37We say it all the time that the community that we have here.
- 4:40Here is, what's really important to us, and that's become more
- 4:43sure than ever show. You guys are all.
- 4:45So, what's keeping our website alive right now?
- 4:48I mean, obviously we were keeping the website alive before
- 4:52but now it's, you know, one less thing we have to focus, you pay
- 4:57our website fee. So that's that.
- 5:01If you subscribe to the budget level patreon, you also get our
- 5:05bonus episode, like I said, which will be posted before the
- 5:08new year, but I'm gonna go ahead and tell you what next month.
- 5:10It's Bonus episode is going to be.
- 5:14Yeah, we're just going to be a rehashing of Tara fire because
- 5:17if you'll remember, when we covered it on the Main feed, we
- 5:19had special guest David, Howard Thornton, which is a total treat
- 5:24and absolutely no regrets at all there.
- 5:27But we do want to have some time or we actually spend talking
- 5:29about the movie and our normal format.
- 5:31Yeah, we didn't really talk about it.
- 5:33So we want to I mean we got a lot of like talking about it but
- 5:36yeah, I don't know. Yeah yeah.
- 5:39So we want to actually rehash That.
- 5:41Because in January, surprise surprise we're going to talk
- 5:43about Tara fired. See you on the Main feed, you
- 5:45know, that one always so that's going to be a lot of fun.
- 5:50So that's something that you can look forward to.
- 5:52And then I'm going to take the moment since we're talking about
- 5:54our patreon to go ahead and plug our social media right up here
- 5:56at the top. Let's just front with this whole
- 5:58thing. Yes, exactly.
- 5:59It's good to mix it up sometimes.
- 6:01Yeah. Apparently the social media
- 6:04experts. As it stands say that front
- 6:05loading, your plugs is a good idea.
- 6:08Okay, cool. Yeah.
- 6:09I don't know, I don't know. We mix it.
- 6:11Up because of how our flow of our show.
- 6:13And we're not professionals, really not at all.
- 6:16So you can find us on Facebook, Instagram, least favorite scary,
- 6:21movie, podcast, Twitter. At least fav pod, you can find
- 6:26us on Tick-Tock least favorite scary movie.
- 6:30Hey, look at you. Yeah, you're right.
- 6:35And then we have our website. What's your least favorite scary
- 6:38movie? Don't calm.
- 6:39So all that's there. It's a good way to find us to be
- 6:43a part of our polls to hear our random ramblings on things.
- 6:47See random posts that we make, just for the funsies of it and
- 6:51also, you know, get details like our schedule or if there's a
- 6:55schedule change or just, you know, anything like that.
- 6:59It's a lot of fun. Okay.
- 7:01Yeah. That's our announcements and it
- 7:03was exciting because we don't Normally have that many
- 7:05announcement we so it's yeah, from nothing to all that.
- 7:09Consider it, my light Christmas gift.
- 7:12Okay, well let's just get through the pole real quick.
- 7:14I'm just get through it. Okay, yeah, let's just get
- 7:16through. This is got through this.
- 7:19Okay. So black Christmas was last
- 7:21week's movie so we just wanted to know who was fucking up their
- 7:24future the fastest. Yeah, you have Peter smashing
- 7:28his piano after his terrible ceremony in that ceremony the
- 7:31recital recital. There you go, ceremony.
- 7:34I wish it was a stupid. Miss Mack drinking toilet booze.
- 7:40So, okay, Peter is 40% by the way. 40 percent voted for him.
- 7:44Oh, I thought you were just giving us the question and
- 7:46answers don't were telling us the result.
- 7:48No, I don't need to do that. Okay, Miss Mack, I thought it
- 7:51made sense. Okay, well Miss Mack drinking
- 7:54booze from the toilet is 25% in Barb.
- 7:57Giving kids alcohol is 35%. This is all an Instagram.
- 8:01Okay? On Twitter, 70% said it was
- 8:04Peter 10% Miss Mack with the toilet booze 20%, with Barb.
- 8:09Okay, I'm gonna tell you the order that I think they're
- 8:13fucking of their future, like the quickest, Peter definitely,
- 8:16because there's no way somebody isn't going to see that you're
- 8:19standing soon. Yeah.
- 8:20Officer actually involved already.
- 8:21Yeah. Can potentially be criminal.
- 8:24Oh, destruction and probably eat a fucking grand piano.
- 8:27That's more than five thousand dollars.
- 8:28We are Beyond a misdemeanor. We are into felony territory.
- 8:32That is years of bad fella. Not really, he's not just
- 8:36getting, he's not quitting the conservatory he's getting kicked
- 8:39out and he's going to trial. Hmm.
- 8:42Then we've got Barb serving alcohol to minors.
- 8:45Yeah, that's also equal. Yes, because it wasn't even just
- 8:48like the kid being like can I have some?
- 8:50She's like hey good yeah. Like hey yeah come have some
- 8:53funky like I can I'm thinking of our oldest nephew is about that
- 8:56age. The kids at that event.
- 8:58I can't imagine being like, Hey kid do you want some of this
- 9:01like that's terrible. Yeah and Then Miss Mack mrs.
- 9:06Mac I'm sure there are Health repercussions but those tend to
- 9:09be like slower. It's not illegal.
- 9:12It's just frowned upon. Yeah but I mean she can still
- 9:15fuck up her future by giving herself like I don't know.
- 9:17Whatever. Toilet diseases, exist, several
- 9:21yes so you know there we go. Yeah alright yeah I you know I
- 9:29agree with that that's good. So Peter definitely fucked
- 9:31himself up because he's a felon now.
- 9:33So yeah that's hot. That is the answer everybody
- 9:36agrees. Okay, now it's time to talk
- 9:39about the movie, okay? So we decided we wanted to talk
- 9:42about a New Year's movie and we went with into the darks New
- 9:45Year's from their first season. Yeah.
- 9:48And it's called New Year. New You.
- 9:50It premiered on December 28th. 2018.
- 9:53On Hulu. We watched it on.
- 9:55Hulu. Does the place you can watch it
- 9:57pretty much? The only?
- 9:58Yes. I think.
- 9:59I don't even think they released it.
- 10:01Yeah. Because like it's yeah.
- 10:03It's a serious. I wish they would hurry.
- 10:04Lisa physically. I would buy the surprising
- 10:06haven't. Yes.
- 10:08Well actually. Yeah.
- 10:09They want people to actually subscribe.
- 10:11It's true. I don't know.
- 10:12Netflix is constantly like I think I can't do stuff stuff.
- 10:17And yeah, so this was written by atom gains.
- 10:21Who did, who worked on the teleplay?
- 10:24Tensley, I noticed that terminology.
- 10:26Yeah, it sounds like, is that like the screenplay basically?
- 10:29Yeah, stratification, television episode?
- 10:32Yeah, yeah, here's the thing. Is A fake sure?
- 10:35It's a feature-length episode. I get that.
- 10:37It's part of a series but it's the same as whenever people
- 10:39refer to the 1990s. It is a miniseries.
- 10:43I'm like, it's movie. Yeah.
- 10:45It's just a they it's like it's moving, cut it up into episodes.
- 10:50Well, that was slightly different because they wanted to
- 10:53they were very specific. Comedy Central like bought the
- 10:56rights to it. Yes.
- 10:58And they were very specific about like we want to do movies
- 11:01but it needs to be written in such a way that we can split it
- 11:04up into Assad's for syndication. That wasn't the intention of.
- 11:07Yes. I'm a bit of a Futurama nerd.
- 11:10You all I need you to understand that I have one of the times
- 11:12that I have a tattoo from one of the movies.
- 11:14It's a it's a big fucking deal to me.
- 11:17So yeah, that was like a whole other thing.
- 11:21These and those were released as actual movies, as you know,
- 11:25because they own the movie. Yes.
- 11:27So if you watch them in like Hulu or Comedy Central, they're
- 11:30split up in half-hour episodes with commercials and all of
- 11:33that. But if you own the Movie.
- 11:35Like, you can just play it in, it makes sense.
- 11:37So, but I know that the Into The Dark episodes are technically
- 11:42movie scripts that they're, they're making movies.
- 11:45They're taking like existing scripts and just like making,
- 11:47they're taking existing Concepts, I think.
- 11:50Because the director for this was also involved in writing the
- 11:53teleplay. Okay, so as I said, atom gains
- 11:58is responsible for the story, but he also worked on the table,
- 12:00play with director, Sofia to call.
- 12:02Okay? So Sofia to call All she's the
- 12:06director. She went on to direct black
- 12:08Christmas, 2019, I thought that sounded familiar.
- 12:11Okay, so I am a defender of black Christmas 2019.
- 12:16I know. I've hinted about it and are
- 12:18passed to Black Christmas episodes.
- 12:20There's a lot of reasons for it, but I just want to let everybody
- 12:23know that if you want to hear more about why I'm a Defender
- 12:26about it, and learn more about how cool Sofia to call is.
- 12:30Go listen to the this ends at prom episode on black Christmas,
- 12:332019. Mmm.
- 12:35That's what she was a guest along with her co-writer for the
- 12:38script April wolf. Okay.
- 12:40And there was a lot of really good enzyme.
- 12:42It was just a really good discussion about the movie that
- 12:45I feel like didn't get a fair shake from audiences and I'm
- 12:50really excited. I know it's a year away but I'm
- 12:52excited to talk about it. I am too.
- 12:53I'm just saying it's misunderstood but some of the
- 12:58hates warranted. Yeah.
- 13:00But the hate shouldn't be going towards the movie.
- 13:02It should be going towards the studio.
- 13:04Yeah, Studio. Oh, is what Screwed them up?
- 13:05Yeah, definitely setting it up as a black Christmas movie when
- 13:08it has no right being like yeah, yeah.
- 13:10Yeah. Different thing.
- 13:12It was destined to fail because of that.
- 13:14Yeah. I like I was already defensive
- 13:16of it and then I learned the backstory like during that
- 13:19episode and I was like, oh my God, I'm even more on the side
- 13:22of this movie. So definitely go listen to that.
- 13:24I talk. I talk about this ends up from a
- 13:26lot. I think BJ Colangelo and Harmony
- 13:28Colangelo. I really great and knowledgeable
- 13:31people within the horror community and Just like their
- 13:36show. Well let's talk about it in
- 13:38here. Yes.
- 13:39Until then until then music by Michael Montes and I couldn't
- 13:46find like a dedicated special effects makeup artist.
- 13:49I really isn't much to be had, no, not really, but the key
- 13:52makeup artist is Mandy R2. R2 saw to okay, starring Suki
- 13:58Waterhouse is Alexis Suki. Waterhouse.
- 14:03I like it. Yeah, I think it was Carly
- 14:05chalkin is Danielle Williams Kirby.
- 14:09Howell Baptiste, is Kayla. Did she look familiar to you?
- 14:12Travis good place. Yes, she's a cheat.
- 14:14He's girlfriend. She's Australian Girlfriend.
- 14:17Yes, that's what I thought. Okay, Shelly.
- 14:19Wait, what's her natural accent than she actually Australian or
- 14:22no? So, she did an Australian
- 14:25accent. Yeah.
- 14:25Or a good place? Okay.
- 14:27And I'm American. Uh-huh.
- 14:28So I never caught anything weird about it.
- 14:31Was I on. Yeah, I'm on the good place
- 14:33subreddit, and people are like her.
- 14:34Accents, really distracting and I'm like, okay, mate, cool.
- 14:38Sorry for you. My untrained ear is finally and
- 14:45then Melissa Berglund is Chloe. Okay.
- 14:48Okay, so this will come as no surprise to anybody but I don't
- 14:52have a budget box office. I don't think that they have the
- 14:55budgets for any of these movies list.
- 14:58However, yeah, I did read an interview that Sofia to called
- 15:02did with polygons, okay? And I will I'm editing.
- 15:06So I will try to remember to put it in the show notes, a link to
- 15:09the interview because I feel like it's interesting and she
- 15:12talked about this is the first movie that she really had like a
- 15:16decent budget for barricaded Indie stuff beforehand.
- 15:19Well, it's still Blum House. Yes, it's still Blum House.
- 15:22So it's still like I by our standards it's still going to be
- 15:25bugged head. Yeah but that's like that's
- 15:27good. Budget for an indie movie.
- 15:30Yes. If you're coming from an indie
- 15:31background like self-funded to like Blum House Shit.
- 15:35You know. That's a big step up.
- 15:37Yes. I did get the worldwide gross
- 15:39for one of these for the Indie movie.
- 15:41She did right before this. It's called Always shine her
- 15:44worldwide gross for that was seventeen thousand dollars.
- 15:47Okay. Which I don't expect it that
- 15:49way. Yeah, with an indie, if you
- 15:51don't have like a theatrical release, that's always going to
- 15:53know your numbers. Hi.
- 15:55If I released a movie and I made 17 thousand dollars off of it.
- 15:58I would be stoked. Exactly amazing.
- 16:01All right, here is the thing, we talked about the stuff we poke.
- 16:04Finite movies, but we fully acknowledge neither of us.
- 16:07Has ever made a movie and we have all of the respect for the
- 16:10makers of their. It's tough.
- 16:12I can tell. Yes, we laugh at ourselves all
- 16:14the time. Yeah.
- 16:15This is not intended to be a mean-spirited pot.
- 16:18No. No.
- 16:19By any means. So yeah.
- 16:21I just I I got that number. I thought it was interesting to
- 16:24pull so that we kind of have an idea where she's coming from
- 16:27with that. Okay, cool.
- 16:28Yeah. On IMDb this episode of into the
- 16:32dark currently holds a Seven out of ten that's lower than I
- 16:36thought I'd be. Yes.
- 16:37And when we get to user reviews, now there's a reason.
- 16:42Yeah, I'm going to talk about because this is one of those
- 16:46where I really struggled to find her.
- 16:47I knew going into this that you liked this movie.
- 16:50So, I was trying to find a more negative review.
- 16:52Yeah. And it's one of those much, like
- 16:55Wes. Craven's, New Nightmare where I
- 16:57struggled to find a review that wasn't missing a lot of the
- 17:01point. Yeah.
- 17:02Like, what, it's actually like someone serious and not Just
- 17:04kind of like complaining about one part of the moving.
- 17:07Yes, exactly. I did pull three movies from
- 17:122018, and I don't have a running theme between the three of them,
- 17:16but I picked them based on their relation to the movie, as my
- 17:19brains, off it, okay, where any of them into the dark movies,
- 17:23because there was problem now out of those that came out.
- 17:25No. Yeah.
- 17:26This is the fourth that year. I think.
- 17:28Okay. So we had Halloween Thanksgiving
- 17:30Christmas and the New Year's okay?
- 17:32Yeah, yeah, okay. So Incident in ghosts, land.
- 17:37Oh, okay. That came out, June 22nd of
- 17:402018. I don't have a budget for it,
- 17:42but I have a worldwide gross of 5.6 million.
- 17:45That's a fucked up movie? Yes.
- 17:47And I really fucking scary. Yes, it's a pretty good movie.
- 17:50It's got a six point four out of ten.
- 17:51On IMDb why I ended up picking that.
- 17:55I think. I know why I'm a facial scar.
- 17:57Yeah, yes. So Alexis scarring in this movie
- 18:02and New Year, New, You You is kind of significant to her
- 18:06character development, especially her aspirations in an
- 18:09actress. And unfortunately, one of the
- 18:10lead actresses and incident in a ghost land suffered from facial
- 18:15scarring, due to unsafe stunt conditions during the filming
- 18:19actually went through. A, it was, it was a glass door,
- 18:23I think is what it was, and they don't have the right kind of
- 18:26safety clasp. And it wasn't like that Sugar.
- 18:28Yeah, that would just normally. This is me.
- 18:30Yeah, and she ended up cutting herself and and this is going to
- 18:34tie in The reviews I talk about later.
- 18:36Those facial scarring has cost her work.
- 18:39Yeah. So she sued the director for
- 18:41that to remember that. Yeah, so that's the thing, you
- 18:44know? And that's a whole thing we
- 18:46could get into a full topic about, but it, it's pretty
- 18:49messed up. And I feel really sorry for her
- 18:51and it's also very relevant to what we're going to be talking
- 18:54about with this movie. Yeah, definitely.
- 18:55I can see the connection at the second movie.
- 18:59Unfriended dark web. Hey.
- 19:00Oh, yeah. So that's the sequel right, yes?
- 19:03Okay, yeah. Which the movie?
- 19:04I I guess it's self. This one isn't directly related
- 19:07to new year, new you? But the first one talking about
- 19:10bullying. Yeah.
- 19:11Very good definitely. Yeah.
- 19:14That's a good movie to yeah. All right, what's the budget?
- 19:17Yeah, it came out July 20th. 2018.
- 19:21It had an estimated budget of 1 million dollars in grossed about
- 19:2416 million. We were one of those 16 million
- 19:28people. Yes, we definitely were and it
- 19:31currently holds a 6 out of 10 on IMDb not bad.
- 19:34Yeah. I like that one.
- 19:35I think it's weird. As a sequel.
- 19:37To the first one, where the first one was definitely
- 19:40Supernatural and this one was much more real world based.
- 19:43I like it, though. I was different.
- 19:45They're not like, bound to the original, it's an anthology
- 19:48series. Yes.
- 19:49And I think that's the way an anthology series needs to be
- 19:51done. You have something of a Common
- 19:54Thread. It can be a different genre as
- 19:56long as the so has like the tie with yeah, Peter screen.
- 19:59Absolutely. Yeah.
- 20:00I'm surprised that there's some more of those.
- 20:01Yeah. And we're definitely going to be
- 20:03talking about that at. So hey, yeah, and the third
- 20:06movie, I picked Okay. Okay.
- 20:12Sorry, I can't read my handwriting Cruz.
- 20:13I got ya. I thought I wrote corn could you
- 20:20didn't make any sense? No, the third movie is cam cam,
- 20:26which talks a lot about like societal pressures.
- 20:28The faces you put on what you receive back from the people.
- 20:33You interact with based on that. It's a weird movie.
- 20:36I really like it. And I want to cover it at some
- 20:38point because it's got a really Interesting backstory to it.
- 20:41I like the lead actress and I think the story itself is pretty
- 20:46engaging. It was good.
- 20:48I was very impressed with it. So that came out in November
- 20:5016th. 2018 don't have a budget or a gross for it.
- 20:54I think that, that was straight to streaming.
- 20:56Yeah, and it has a five point nine out of ten on IMDb, which I
- 21:00feel is unfortunate but not totally unexpected because it is
- 21:06Weird. Yeah, you're going to be asking
- 21:08questions after watching it. Yes.
- 21:10Because I asked you as like, what the fuck?
- 21:11Yeah. And well, because you fell
- 21:13asleep when we were watching it together.
- 21:15I stayed up to finish the end of it.
- 21:17And so, I had a lot of time to process a goat online discussion
- 21:20boards, learn a little bit about the backstory of it and so when
- 21:24you re like with the next day, you're like, I want to finish
- 21:26the movie and then you're like, hey what?
- 21:31I had done all of the research and not what I was expecting
- 21:35when I My sign up for cam. It's a good movie though.
- 21:38Yeah, it really is a good movie. Okay.
- 21:41So those are my three comparisons.
- 21:43So yeah, we know it's bugged head.
- 21:46It's bugged head but that's kind of Blum houses whole shtick.
- 21:49Yeah, so especially if it's like a TV movie.
- 21:51Yes. Okay so I have one tag line.
- 21:55I figured it was on the poster. Okay, what is it ring in the New
- 21:58Year? Like it's your last Hey, maybe
- 22:03that's kind of like uninspired, right?
- 22:05Yeah, it's generic. I don't know.
- 22:07I feel like they could have done something a little bit more
- 22:11Mantra. Like with the whole I was
- 22:13expecting a mantra right? Okay.
- 22:17Like are we doing the tagline? No, no, no, no.
- 22:22I was gonna think of a tag line for the movie and supposed to be
- 22:25doing at some point kind of but also they saw her episode of
- 22:29session Yeah, so I mean it's not the worst tagline we've ever
- 22:34read but like you said it's kind of fun inspired.
- 22:37Like we need something to put at the top of the poster.
- 22:41Yeah and make it themed. Yeah.
- 22:44Okay I've got a few fun facts. Okay.
- 22:47Principal photography took about 15 days between July and August
- 22:51of 2018, which I always find it. Interesting when filming and
- 22:55photography takes such a short amount of time, for like a movie
- 22:59also filming a winter movie. And then Of the summer.
- 23:03It does make me feel a little bit better about Danielle's
- 23:06pajama situation. Yeah, because I'm covered head
- 23:09to toe right now and I was freezing watching her.
- 23:11Yeah, definitely. Okay, so the rest of this is all
- 23:15coming from the polygon interview with director and
- 23:19writers if you have to call. Okay, so she really wanted to
- 23:24examine like the culture that has been created around self
- 23:28care and social media influence. So she definitely acknowledges
- 23:33the need for self care and how important it is.
- 23:36But the way that it's often talked about, in portrayed and
- 23:39social media, media can at times, missed the point entirely
- 23:44to the extent. That it becomes almost a
- 23:46narcissistic, like, oh, I'm gonna buy organic, and then you
- 23:50see all of these videos clips reels, tick-tocks, whatever of,
- 23:55you know, people doing like super clean eating and you're
- 23:58like, oh my God, am I doing enough?
- 23:59And then it's like, you know, something real Sick, exactly.
- 24:02They're like putting on a show and then they go and they eat
- 24:05Oreos become. Well, even if they do eat
- 24:08completely clean, that's a lot of mental energy.
- 24:11It's a lot of financial responsibility to eat a certain
- 24:14way. It's a lot of prep time.
- 24:16That's involved. If you're going to be cooking
- 24:18all of these things from scratch, it just it.
- 24:21So it's not as simple as like your again I can do it.
- 24:24Yeah. It's and when you have to look
- 24:27at Maslow's hierarchy of needs sometimes, just eating is going
- 24:30to be important. Orton then.
- 24:32Like, eating this very special super healthy diet.
- 24:35Exactly. Yeah, when she also wanted to
- 24:38look at like social media influence and when she was cast,
- 24:41when she was figuring out the cast for this, it's funny that
- 24:45Suki Waterhouse actually had a lot, like significantly more
- 24:50followers than Carly chalkin. Considering we start off the
- 24:53movie with Danielle being like this huge influential.
- 24:56That's about to get a TV show, and Alexis being jealous and
- 25:01see, Sing like what her dreams could have been.
- 25:03And she really asked the cast to examine their relationship with
- 25:07social media, Fame, self-care, all of that shoe.
- 25:11She was like, it's going to be really uncomfortable for you to
- 25:13kind of Take a hit at yourself with this.
- 25:17Are these people like big and famous or something and I don't,
- 25:21I'm gonna be honest. I didn't look at their other
- 25:24filmography is I'm not familiar with owing anything else.
- 25:26I've looked up Alexis a few times and I've always been like
- 25:30I'm surprised. She's not in more things.
- 25:33Yeah. Because I feel like she does a
- 25:34decent job in this. Yeah.
- 25:36I think she does too. Yeah so okay.
- 25:42They really wanted to focus on the importance of mirrors and
- 25:44this Us as well. Because we've got the whole like
- 25:47being viewed through a lens of social media, and television,
- 25:51and all of that. Plus the face that you put on
- 25:53for the people around you. So the mirrors were really
- 25:57important every shot with a mirror or reflection and this
- 26:00movie was intentional. Every shot with a mirror is
- 26:03basically a Lexus staring at it with a blank face and everybody
- 26:06being freaked out. Not actually, I was paying
- 26:10really close attention because I read that interview before we
- 26:14watch this. To take notes.
- 26:15I was paying really close attention.
- 26:17I didn't necessarily take full notes but like the first time we
- 26:20see her in the mirror in the house is when she's taking that
- 26:24bath and when she looks into the mirror her eyes and mouth are
- 26:28covered. Oh really?
- 26:29Yeah, so you don't see like her full face.
- 26:32Okay. And then, there's like some
- 26:33shots when they're doing the dance to TLC that we get a
- 26:37couple of shots, Alexis looking a little bit like you do.
- 26:43A little bit frustrated because she knows what's coming next.
- 26:46And then we get a couple shots of Danielle like looking, that's
- 26:49what I'm talking about Lee. Yeah, over at Alexis she's like
- 26:52what the fuck is wrong with the likes?
- 26:53Which is what you do. But it's not even.
- 26:56What the fuck is wrong, but it's more like, what are you about to
- 27:00do to me? Yeah, and I'm more like good
- 27:01somewhere narcissistic kind of tone to it, which we don't see
- 27:04in their face on directions to the camera, this movie.
- 27:08It's tagline is just like passive-aggressive
- 27:12passive-aggressive. And that's it.
- 27:16And there was also some discussion during the interview
- 27:19about being a female director and how important that feels to
- 27:23her and she said, I'm really grateful that I get to be a part
- 27:27of this. I'm really grateful that Blum
- 27:28House is doing work to bring in female directors because she
- 27:32looked at the list of directors and she was excited about how
- 27:35many female directors are involved, especially in the,
- 27:37into the dark series and this cast is all female.
- 27:43Yeah, I noticed but you know, it's cool.
- 27:46But at the same time, she doesn't want that to be like,
- 27:49it's stick. Yeah, it does.
- 27:50He have questions of it? It doesn't.
- 27:52And I think they even throw in a line at one point where Kayla
- 27:55saying like, oh, just because a woman is involved, doesn't make
- 27:58it like inherently. I like that.
- 27:59I feel like the director liked or the writer injecting their
- 28:02own ideology. Very tongue-in-cheek, like, Hey,
- 28:05we're not doing this, just to be feminist.
- 28:07Yeah, that's not the point of this.
- 28:09Yeah. No, I like and I feel like
- 28:11considering her very. Next movie.
- 28:13Is Black Christmas. I feel like that's really
- 28:15important. Don't yeah, definitely.
- 28:16Yeah, that's it for me. Fun facts.
- 28:18Okay. Travis.
- 28:21Yes. What would you say?
- 28:23The good, the bad, the ugly, and the Absurd are of this movie and
- 28:27what would be your pre discussion ranking out of son?
- 28:31Okay? So the good for this, I enjoy
- 28:36the tension in this movie. I feel like this is, like a
- 28:39super tense movie almost from the beginning.
- 28:41Like, Alexis is intense immediately.
- 28:44Yes, like she's intimidating. I know.
- 28:47Something's going to happen because we started off with
- 28:49that. Like, Here of a flashback of
- 28:51tragic event. It's almost feels like, like
- 28:55prom night because like it's revenge for past into the, but
- 29:01like all of these like, socially awkward and since has between
- 29:05her and Danielle, like it's like saying things that you want to
- 29:09say, I like to call people out on their bullshit and like just
- 29:12putting them in a spot where they squirm, I guess just fun to
- 29:15see it. Play out with some buddies like
- 29:16so full of shit. Yes I loved it.
- 29:19The bad. For this.
- 29:26I think the they're not they're not very subtle with the way
- 29:30that they do the social media thing.
- 29:32Like, I think that was the thing that we were talking about when
- 29:33we were talking with Brandon Christensen when he was doing
- 29:37like his superheroes like when they were doing their show and I
- 29:41was thinking about soup. Yeah you're watching this
- 29:43because I think that he's, if I remember correctly, I think what
- 29:46he was saying is he wanted to make them produce content.
- 29:50He has to write that content as if he's like them.
- 29:52But also make it something that's not like super bad, but
- 29:55also kind of like playing into the tropes that are like out
- 29:58there on the internet. Yeah.
- 30:00This one right here. Just felt like it was too on the
- 30:02nose with. It wasn't like like that it was
- 30:05really choppy editing. You could tell I was just like
- 30:07people that didn't really know what they were doing.
- 30:08I feel like they were trying to emphasize that I don't want that
- 30:11really got me is that I don't know when Instagram will I've
- 30:14started being a thing but I would have thought it existed by
- 30:18this point. So every time she was recording
- 30:20A video. I was thinking it was live
- 30:22Honestly, though. If I was a social-media
- 30:24influencer, I would probably pre-record stuff and then post
- 30:28it as a story or video or whatever.
- 30:30The lives, I feel like are usually chaotic you don't know
- 30:34unpredictable and you don't know what's going to happen.
- 30:36Planned, you think they're playing, okay?
- 30:39Yes. And if you see like a lot of
- 30:42times, when I think of the context of an Instagram live,
- 30:44it's because they have a special guest who is another
- 30:46social-media influencer, sometimes I've seen the most
- 30:49Wild On Instagram alive. What is what is that movie?
- 30:54We watched, It's really fucked up.
- 30:55It was on shutter it stream. No.
- 30:59No it involved. It starts off like they're
- 31:03talking about dog murders. And the whole thing is that
- 31:07she's like a social-media influencer and her house is
- 31:11being attacked. Her sister sick.
- 31:14Fuck is that? But like that was their whole
- 31:17thing was that they were like we're supposed to be doing a
- 31:19live tonight. I remember that meant she wasn't
- 31:21there for it. Yeah I don't remember the name
- 31:24of that movie. Yeah yeah.
- 31:26Oh hashtag not shocked. It's like it's social media
- 31:33links. Oh we're just talking about
- 31:35Shucks. Yes, you're right, shut up.
- 31:37Yeah, yeah, yeah, watch us or listen to us age live on
- 31:43audience right here. Should I say shit sometimes but
- 31:48sometimes when I say sure, come like tally.
- 31:50Shook water off of her body after her best.
- 31:53She shook she shook. Yeah.
- 31:56Okay. So that's that's a good maybe
- 31:59but you know very much elements of this to you.
- 32:02Yeah. Okay.
- 32:04The ugly. So ugly people in this.
- 32:12Everybody super toxic. Even like the person that's
- 32:14super like self-righteous about the whole thing is like she's
- 32:18using something that she's almost like taking advantage of
- 32:23her friends, 22 like Kind of motivate them to do her will
- 32:28because like I feel like she just wants personal Revenge from
- 32:32Danielle like she doesn't she's using this whole thing is like a
- 32:35well we got 100% know what happened.
- 32:39Yeah I wish that we would have liked I always had something
- 32:42spelled out like the ambiguity of it and went through the
- 32:46movie. Okay.
- 32:46Normally I do but this time maybe just a little bit more.
- 32:50Okay and the Absurd The fucking scene where they open the
- 32:57elevator door and they Caleb kicks Chloe in the stomach.
- 33:02Yeah, it's on elevator babe. It's garage a garage door.
- 33:05Die said elevator? Yeah, the garage door.
- 33:09We've been watching a lot of Christmas movies and if you
- 33:11don't watch cheesy lifetime, Christmas movies, then you
- 33:14probably don't know. Elevators are super important to
- 33:18Christmas time. There's like a whole strategy of
- 33:20elevator Christmas music and movies.
- 33:22So yeah, it's a thing it's kind of influence in my mind here but
- 33:26that scene right there. Like I forget how funny I get
- 33:29every time I watch it so funny, but I got bust out laughing
- 33:32every single time. So.
- 33:34Okay. All that said, I think that I
- 33:38would give this like a 7.5. Okay?
- 33:43I think 7.5. Sounds right to me.
- 33:45Okay, so the same, yes, this is one that we watch outside of the
- 33:49season. So what should I do you like
- 33:51that months ago? Yeah, I feel like that says
- 33:53something. Yeah, so the good for me, I like
- 33:58the Nuance involved in this. I feel like the female
- 34:02friendships feel real and that there's connection and
- 34:08disconnection between the friend group, but they just kind of
- 34:11fall right back. Into it there on New Year's Eve.
- 34:14You know there's moments where like somebody will refer to
- 34:17something and one person understands what they're talking
- 34:19about but the other two don't which is just very real to life.
- 34:23That's true. That's yeah, like dialogue plays
- 34:26out pretty realistically here. Yeah and it's not necessarily
- 34:28good or bad, that's just the nature of life.
- 34:30People aren't necessarily going to be up each other's asses day
- 34:34in and day out for years and years and years.
- 34:37So, it felt very realistic to me.
- 34:39I also liked the Kind of nudging, it toxic positivity
- 34:46because I feel like that's an important thing to talk about.
- 34:51So it's it's done. Well, to me, I think, like, with
- 34:57the mantras and the visualization and all of that
- 35:01because those are very real like therapy techniques.
- 35:04Yeah, and here, we're going to come in with my trauma Capital.
- 35:08TTM background where I've been to therapy and stuff.
- 35:12And there are some very real techniques that are used here
- 35:15where you talk about visualization because you have
- 35:17to make a plan for what you want to do.
- 35:18You've got to figure out what it is that you want to achieve and
- 35:21then you work backwards from there to figure out the steps to
- 35:24do it. Yeah.
- 35:25You focus on the successes in the positives because sometimes
- 35:29you have to train your brain to stop being as stupid as it is
- 35:33to, you know, recognize the good things as well.
- 35:37Yeah, you know, I went through a full year of every day.
- 35:43I was like, writing down at least one if not three positive
- 35:48things that happened to me that day because my brain tends to
- 35:52hyper focus on the negative. Did that exercise?
- 35:57Make me Focus Less on the - no but it did help me focus on the
- 36:01positive 2. Yeah.
- 36:03So it at least brought some balance and it has made me a
- 36:07little bit better about acknowledging the good things
- 36:09that are going on in my life. So it those these are very real
- 36:13techniques but when they're like push forth by somebody who like
- 36:18doesn't give a shit or doesn't know what she's talking about.
- 36:21Doesn't give a shit. Doesn't know what she's talking
- 36:23about. Doesn't have the proper
- 36:24training. Meaning may or may not have had
- 36:27these actual experiences, we don't know enough about her
- 36:30background and I don't want to speculate just based off of, you
- 36:33know, Alexis is biased recounting of their childhood.
- 36:37I I think that it can become very dangerous when people that
- 36:42don't necessarily have the right background or on a platform and
- 36:47you and I are very careful about what, you know, not that our
- 36:49platform is huge, it's not anywhere.
- 36:52No one get well Danielle but I feel like you and I are very
- 36:56careful. If you know we say something
- 36:57that feels a little bit too off the cuff that were like, hey,
- 37:01let's edit that out because that might not be the message we want
- 37:04to send. Yeah, a lot of times, I feel
- 37:06like we try our best to just talk from our place of her.
- 37:09Our own personal experience. And if we feel in reflection
- 37:12that something might spread more harm than good or entertainment,
- 37:17we cut it out because that's not what we want to do.
- 37:20Yeah. And that's not always the case
- 37:22with social media and people like this that are meant to be
- 37:26like wellness gurus, because that's not Anything.
- 37:31That's not a job that is. What is the word I'm looking
- 37:36for? Not policed the like governed.
- 37:38The it doesn't have a governing body.
- 37:39You know, you don't have licenses or CEUs or anything
- 37:42like that, better required and I feel like for an hour and a
- 37:46half, it did a really good nuanced.
- 37:49Take on all of that stuff. Yeah I would agree the bad.
- 37:55It's a little bit naive to me that they wrote it that the only
- 38:01way Alexis felt she could get revenge is to get Danielle to To
- 38:05what she did on screen because it obviously would have turned
- 38:08exactly the way that Danielle. You know, did turn it.
- 38:13We're like okay, I will admit to things I've done but I'm going
- 38:16to spin it in a way that you know, not as bad for me.
- 38:20Yeah. Yeah.
- 38:21Instead of what Danielle says could have happened which is 0.
- 38:26Alexis is gonna go spread these rumors about me.
- 38:30Yeah. If Alexis had gotten enough
- 38:33people together and been like hey let's go online and share
- 38:35our stories about Danielle. That's true.
- 38:39That's the thing that does happen.
- 38:40Yeah, I guess it depends on how big you are, you know.
- 38:43But that's also going to go into my ugly here.
- 38:45Is that none of this is good, like bullying people.
- 38:52So that way they feel bad about themselves and they bullied this
- 38:58girl, Kelsey until she killed herself and it's horrific and
- 39:04then the Absurd. Yeah.
- 39:07As a person with a lot of scars, the scarring Alexis's face,
- 39:15like, I appreciate it, that it was very dark, still all that.
- 39:18It was clearly like textured. I think that was, I don't
- 39:22understand the shape of it. It's what was confusing.
- 39:25What happened to her, like? It looks like when I'm
- 39:28addressing an envelope and I want to make it fancy.
- 39:30So, like, underneath the name, I do, like my little sewer lines.
- 39:34It looks like, yeah. And I get that scars.
- 39:37Can sometimes be weird shapes. I just thought didn't do it
- 39:41takes weapon. It looks like they wanted to
- 39:45have a scar that could still be cute.
- 39:48Yeah, okay. You know what I mean?
- 39:49So I like we're gonna make it go with the shape of her face.
- 39:53Okay. Yeah.
- 39:54Let's do that. I don't think it makes her look
- 39:55bad at all either. I don't either doesn't.
- 39:58Yeah, but, you know, it, it is still a facial scar in that Soul
- 40:03other thing like we talked about before it can Absolutely,
- 40:07especially as a woman be with, you know, public presenting
- 40:16aspirations. It can absolutely be everything
- 40:20you have to work past and it can 100% be traumatic.
- 40:24I'm not saying that. I just also feel like the scar
- 40:27itself was very clean. That's looking, I got you in a
- 40:32way that has not matched my personal experiences.
- 40:36Yeah, I guess that's fair. Okay, so 7.5.
- 40:41Yep. That is starting average.
- 40:43All right, cool. Okay.
- 40:46All right, you ready? Yes, I am ready.
- 40:48All right, so we're starting off.
- 40:51It is sometime in the past. We see a pool and a body
- 40:56floating in it. It's like very Quick Cuts.
- 41:01This is basically all we get to see of anything from that night.
- 41:06It's Like basically the shot replay throughout the movie.
- 41:09Yeah. A little girl saying, Help Me
- 41:11running jumping through the window and it's three little
- 41:14blond girls so we don't really know who is who?
- 41:16Yeah. So, we cut to a YouTube video.
- 41:20It's get well Danielle, she announces that she's going to be
- 41:23getting her own show. We pull out from the screen and
- 41:27it's actually Alexis and Cara. The girl she babysits are
- 41:32watching it car is very obsessed with get while Danielle wants to
- 41:35be just like her is totally up her butt in the way
- 41:39ten-year-olds tend to be with things like this and she's like
- 41:45I can't believe that you're gonna spend New Year's with her
- 41:47and Alexis is clearly over it. Yeah.
- 41:50But this kid can't read the room like they they just don't really
- 41:53know. She's 10 I know she's sitting.
- 41:55That's how what can your old camera video?
- 41:57The 10 year olds like wow, why are you still acting or is it
- 42:00because of your scar is like come on your tin.
- 42:03Like you should know better than to just ask about something like
- 42:06that. Right.
- 42:07No, I feel like that's on-brand for a ten-year-old.
- 42:09It's just like hoof. She's like yeah, I don't know
- 42:13maybe if people use so like my acting.
- 42:15Yeah, people like my acting before you know this disfiguring
- 42:18scar. Thanks for bringing it up Cara.
- 42:23So Alexis drives out to The house, the power is off.
- 42:28The power goes off in this house of a lot Powers is in a very bad
- 42:31state. It makes me feel a little bit
- 42:34better because these people are clearly loaded.
- 42:36It's a very, very nice house. It's nice to see that every
- 42:38house has its quirks. This is why these people are so
- 42:41rich that they're moving out because the power keeps going on
- 42:44and they can't pay for an electrician.
- 42:45They're like fuck it let's just buy a new mansion.
- 42:48They are so rich that Alexis hasn't lived here since the
- 42:50accident that happened when she was 16 they just had yeah yeah I
- 42:54guess it's time to say Ellen. Now.
- 42:56Yeah, are cancer and there between mid to late 20s now.
- 43:00So it has been over 10 years since Alexis has been in this
- 43:03house, that's how rich they are. They have kept this house this
- 43:07entire time. So fucked up, man.
- 43:11And they like, even completely renovated the house.
- 43:13After the incident happened, even though Alexis was in still
- 43:16in there, it's so nice. Yes, Alexis, taking a bath.
- 43:20And oh my God, I want. Yeah.
- 43:22Okay, there's a sauna here. First of all, that she's like,
- 43:27preheating, so, I mean it's ready to go and then she like
- 43:30has this nice luxurious bath and this bathtub that has like a
- 43:34full wall window out into the forest or Garden or whatever the
- 43:39fuck. It is amazing.
- 43:40Yeah. And she's in some milky shit
- 43:42that Instagram people take baths, and I don't know.
- 43:47Yeah, yeah. So it's all really nice like and
- 43:51she's coming from a place of privilege in this regard total,
- 43:56even though like she has not met her career aspiration.
- 43:59She's a babysitter. She's play for a hosting job.
- 44:01She didn't finish school. All of that.
- 44:04Not negated by the fact that she Irish has money but she does
- 44:08have a bit more of a safety net than Other people do like Kayla
- 44:13and Chloe who we cut through now.
- 44:16Yeah we're on their way over there talking about how how
- 44:19nervous they are about the whole thing because you get a vibe
- 44:23that something big is going to be happening.
- 44:25Yeah, so the first time you're watching this, all this feels
- 44:27very double entendre. Like they're all just very
- 44:29nervous to be seeing Danielle again for the first time in a
- 44:31long time, is how it seems. Like they're not even sure she's
- 44:34going to show up Kayla's driving, she's struggling to be
- 44:37able to see in the rain. And Chloe is looking at five
- 44:39thousand dollar booze and And I relate so hard.
- 44:43There's I consistently pull up the love out and Page.
- 44:47There's a pair of foods. They have that I want, how much,
- 44:50oh, 5,000 or Figures, it's not 5,000.
- 44:54But one, it's more than that, pretty Travis.
- 44:58It doesn't matter. I'm not buying them until we are
- 45:01rich. So, get to work on that.
- 45:04Yes, yes. But yeah.
- 45:11So thank you get the car breaks down conveniently right in front
- 45:14of the house, I know right. Yeah.
- 45:16They have a very funny conversation about like oh you
- 45:19only have one umbrella she's like, who has two umbrellas in
- 45:22their car and then she's like, this is why we don't buy 5,000
- 45:26dollar boots. Khloe, I love it.
- 45:28It feels like a very real conversation.
- 45:30Yeah. This is like a totally real
- 45:31movie here. Yeah.
- 45:33So they're inside, Isis will love Alexis is outfit for the
- 45:37moment to I know you've got a Nice.
- 45:39Cut out on the back of it. I like the boots paired with it.
- 45:42It it goes away like almost a meeting.
- 45:44Yes. They have like five outfit
- 45:47changes throughout the night. It's excessive.
- 45:49And if this is what it means to be friends with an influencer it
- 45:52sounds exhausting but if all of the outfits get documented I'm
- 45:55okay with that. I mean it's sometimes I save my
- 45:58favorite outfits, if I think people won't see him, it's they
- 46:01start off with the like fancy formal attire and then a like
- 46:05quickly devolves in the pajamas more and more each time.
- 46:09A new pair of like a piece of these aren't Jammy enough.
- 46:13We need to get you a mirror. Let's Jam.
- 46:17So they are in the kitchen talk drinking champagne out of
- 46:23margarita glasses. There's no way.
- 46:26There's no way in a house that has a sauna that they don't have
- 46:30champagne. This drives me crazy.
- 46:33If you want the margarita glasses, make a fucking
- 46:36Margarita. I like I don't care that it's
- 46:39New Years and you're supposed to have champagne match.
- 46:42The drink. We're yeah, it's annoying to me.
- 46:46Yeah. It's whatever.
- 46:48You know, she died. I just like to imagine that she
- 46:51just doesn't give a fuck cuz you know what?
- 46:52Here's the thing. Yeah we have extensive drink,
- 46:56we're in our house and we were nowhere near this level of was
- 47:00right. You know what glasses?
- 47:02We do have champagne flutes. You know what glasses?
- 47:05We don't have margarita glasses. Do we know have one?
- 47:10No, I drink those out of one of our fancier beer glasses, that
- 47:14is vaguely shaped like a margarita glass.
- 47:17Awesome. Hell?
- 47:18Yeah, so Chucky. So, they're talking about and
- 47:27Danielle's gonna show up or not talking about how she's been
- 47:30taking pictures with Leo DiCaprio.
- 47:32Yeah, it's so fucking bullshit. There's no way.
- 47:34Somebody who's got, like a mildly successful YouTube
- 47:38channel would be hanging out with Leo, right?
- 47:41I don't know. Maybe, maybe the picture wasn't
- 47:45like, actually, like, oh, we're friends.
- 47:47Maybe it was that way. If they ran an event together
- 47:48and took a picture go, think about people we have pictures
- 47:51with. It's not always like wife is
- 47:52like a wax museum. Well he's she's she's pretending
- 47:56to take pictures with all these people.
- 47:58Well and then there's this like first directly ominous because
- 48:01everything that's been said so far like sounds like it could
- 48:04just be jealousy from the excess but this particular line is the
- 48:11first that can't be interpreted any way, other than ominous
- 48:14because they're like a now she's going to have a show coming out
- 48:17in the spring. Melissa goes.
- 48:19We'll see about that. Yeah.
- 48:21Fuck else do we interpret that line?
- 48:23It's dark. It is it is so we learned that
- 48:29Alexis dropped out of school because she had kind of mental
- 48:34breakdown. Yeah.
- 48:35Which that's a very real thing that happened.
- 48:39It is not unheard of. Yeah.
- 48:42So what a pressure yeah you know she had a pretty traumatic event
- 48:46happen to her and She didn't really figure out where she
- 48:49wanted to go from there. Yeah, it sounds like, like she
- 48:52doesn't know what she wants. So she is like, finished up all
- 48:54of her prereq stuff. You know, and then it's like,
- 48:57oh, what major, I have to share, what I want to do.
- 49:02You have to do Communications sports management.
- 49:10So Danielle actually shows up. She says, I'm really grateful to
- 49:15be here, instead of whatever. A party.
- 49:18I would have been dragged to and I like humblebrag, oh my God,
- 49:23she's so bad about this shit really is.
- 49:25And she talks about how she talks like this the whole time
- 49:28and the thing, the gas something I do to Travis all the time that
- 49:31started off as a joke. And now it's something I can't
- 49:34stop doing. Yeah, so it was really great to
- 49:35finally be able to start an episode like that because that's
- 49:38how Danielle said think. Yeah.
- 49:39But I told you, I said that this, she's basically that
- 49:43in-person personified and she's like, I have got for you all All
- 49:48and the gifts are definitely like, free product sample.
- 49:51She got there, 100% something that she is given.
- 49:56So, not even travel. But, like, you know, here it is.
- 50:00Try it. Promote it on your channel,
- 50:02right? Guarantee that they've all been
- 50:04used at least once so she can like plug it on her on her
- 50:08Channel and a video and I was just like, yeah, Daniel I mean
- 50:15am I going to buy myself an $80? Facemask know if I was gifted it
- 50:20would I be grateful? Even if it was clearly, like I'm
- 50:23not going to use this. Do you want it?
- 50:25Yeah, soccer. Yeah.
- 50:26But just say it that way. Yeah.
- 50:27Admit it. She's like it's like re-gifting
- 50:29but also like kind of making it worse.
- 50:31I've done that before. I've been like, hey, I was sent
- 50:33to of the same and they told me to keep it.
- 50:35Do you want this? Hell yeah I'm not gonna buy this
- 50:39whatever dollar product like Just be real about it.
- 50:43Yeah, I think that's the whole thing about Danielle's.
- 50:46Everything she's saying, isn't necessarily like untrue or
- 50:49unkind. There's just a fakeness to it
- 50:52all. Yeah, yeah.
- 50:53That's, that's totally. And then like to top it all off.
- 50:56She's like, oh, let's take a picture to celebrate or
- 50:58basically, anything. Any time she does something
- 51:01nice. It's not like one of those
- 51:02things where you're just doing it out of the kindness of your
- 51:04heart, she's doing it and taking pictures of it so she can like,
- 51:08you know, promote herself. Yes.
- 51:10And here's the thing though. Okay, I had this argument in one
- 51:15of my psychology classes and undergrad because they said pick
- 51:19a major and I said psychology, but we were talking about
- 51:25altruism as a concept. Yeah.
- 51:27And then, like, what disqualifies something from
- 51:29being altruism? And I said, truly, I hope
- 51:32altruism doesn't exist because if people feel good doing good
- 51:35deeds, and it brings them happiness to do it.
- 51:37And that's not a bad thing, you know what I mean?
- 51:40I don't think we should. Self-flagellating feed the poor
- 51:43that way. You know what I mean?
- 51:44Like if doing good things make you feel good that's good.
- 51:49That's not necessarily A Bad Thing and if her whole thing is
- 51:51that she's a wellness Guru. Like, okay.
- 51:54I'm going to do something nice and I want to share that.
- 51:56I'm doing something nice and it makes me feel good.
- 51:57So maybe other people will go do nice things and they can feel
- 52:00good to you. I don't think inherently that's
- 52:03problematic, but I think, because it's her job and
- 52:07capitalism can be problematic in a lot of ways.
- 52:11And Is problematic in a lot of ways.
- 52:13Then I think that's where we run into issues with this.
- 52:16Yeah. So again it's not necessarily
- 52:18that. The thing she's doing are
- 52:20inherently bad. It's who she is and what she's
- 52:23become. Yeah.
- 52:24Maybe what she's always been. You know, she's doing a good
- 52:27thing. It's just her motive.
- 52:29Yeah. Motive is flawed back to the
- 52:31good place. Yes, they're full circle.
- 52:34All right. Done episode.
- 52:36Yeah. Okay fuck.
- 52:41What happened next Danielle talks about how she's
- 52:45dairy-free. Oh yeah, deaths dif.
- 52:49I'm gonna start saying that. Don't do that going to do it.
- 52:53Next time we're out to eat and we are like, no cheese.
- 52:55I'm DF. No, I don't want to be the
- 53:01person there. And then I'm going to take a
- 53:05picture of this and idling, DF me all with Mayday.
- 53:09Do people still say bay is that sort of thing?
- 53:12It's either Baraboo. Is that really so the overnight,
- 53:15dude, I've never been in touch with any of.
- 53:17That's true. That's true.
- 53:19Okay, but she's said that she went dairy-free because a
- 53:22follower a few years ago reached out to her, she had a horrible
- 53:25boils over her scalp doctors weren't helping her and she was
- 53:29begging for help and Alexis is like, really did she know.
- 53:33You're not a doctor because she didn't care.
- 53:36Yeah, I get it like making up a story to try and make yourself
- 53:40sound. Like you're actually doing
- 53:42something but like, if you're going to make up the illness,
- 53:44maybe not go. With boils like go with
- 53:46something like a little like bit of acne.
- 53:50Yeah, I like, I don't know. I and I also see this being like
- 53:55based on truth but greatly exaggerated I maybe like maybe
- 53:59she had a boil that wouldn't go away and she's like, hey do you
- 54:02have any Remedy is any homeopathic remedies.
- 54:06For those that may be my doctor isn't willing to recommend I
- 54:08could see that maybe being a thing, but Danielle is like so
- 54:11he did a lot of research and I learned that Dairy causes
- 54:14inflammation and it does a lot of other things to your body to.
- 54:17So Dairy causes boils and I am going to say, as the resident
- 54:21vegan, I feel a lot better eating dairy.
- 54:25Okay. I can tell a big difference.
- 54:29Oh cool, God. Damn you.
- 54:31I can tell a big difference. I had Just feel a lot more
- 54:35comfortable. It doesn't mean that it was easy
- 54:37to stop eating dairy and I do miss cheese, people ask me that
- 54:40all the times. I like, why do you do it?
- 54:42And I'm like, I just, you know, I feel I feel better not eating
- 54:45it. Yeah, I can miss it but the good
- 54:47outweighs the bad for me. I totally get it.
- 54:49So that's where I'm at with it. I kind of get it.
- 54:53But again, Danielle is just so fucking self-righteous about it.
- 54:56Like you said at the beginning like she yeah she she smells her
- 55:00own farts. She does she's a fart smeller.
- 55:03Do I collect them in jars and then puts them on the Shelf?
- 55:07Yeah. So under like a secret name
- 55:10online, she would totally stuff, not only does.
- 55:16So, hello fellow and then aggressive Alexis is about, this
- 55:21is one of my favorite spoken lines of dialogue and a movie
- 55:25ever. Like it's one of the best
- 55:27examples of being passive aggressive without being overtly
- 55:29passive aggressive, because it sounds like you're really making
- 55:32a difference. It's how you say it, too.
- 55:34It's how she says, it's perfect. Beautiful.
- 55:38Masterclass in passive aggression right there.
- 55:41Yeah it's amazing. Okay.
- 55:45So now cuts to her, cutting her finger.
- 55:48Yeah. Oh yeah, she cuts her finger, it
- 55:49cuts to her, cutting her finger. And then she goes to the
- 55:51bathroom washes, her hand, and puts a bandaid on it without
- 55:54drying her finger off, and it drives me insane every single
- 55:56fucking time. Yeah.
- 55:58It's the, the Band-Aid won't stay if you need to like dry it
- 56:02off. It's infuriating.
- 56:03Yeah, it is infuriating. Okay, so then they get to
- 56:06dinner. Yes.
- 56:07And this is where We're Danielle wants to celebrate ourselves
- 56:11unlike in our accomplishments, in the past year.
- 56:13So let's just go around and say something that we're really
- 56:15proud of this year, which in theory.
- 56:17Again, I like this idea. It is positive.
- 56:22It is a good energy to put out there for New Year's Eve.
- 56:26Yeah. But she's so fucking
- 56:30sanctimonious about it. It's like, it's just so
- 56:32infuriating because, and up until this point, she just seems
- 56:35like one of those people that maybe she's just like so perfect
- 56:38that you want to hate her, but you can't, but we find out that
- 56:41it is all fake later. Why do you think these people
- 56:43are like tolerating her though? Because they know that that's
- 56:45not how she is. They know the true person that
- 56:48she is. They have an ulterior motive, I
- 56:51know. But I still like, like I would
- 56:55just be like fucking let's tie her up now.
- 56:57Well, they want to get Get her into a place where they feel
- 56:59like they can convince her to like, admit to her wrongdoings
- 57:02or whatever. Okay, psychological, yeah, yeah,
- 57:05yeah. I got you.
- 57:06And when it gets to Alexis, she's like, oh well, I'm, you
- 57:11know, struggling to. But I really think my biggest
- 57:13accomplishments are yet to come again.
- 57:17She makes like a little Mantra thing to.
- 57:20Like, it's almost like, I feel like Danielle saw that she's
- 57:23like, holy shit. That was amazing.
- 57:24I'm stealing that can be the next episode.
- 57:28And it's never too late to look forward to your next
- 57:31accomplishment, okay? So they go to a sauna or the
- 57:38sauna in the house the sauna and they talk about their High
- 57:42School boyfriend's and the type of conversations that you have
- 57:44with. When you're with high school
- 57:46friends and you're like oh shit, do you remember that time?
- 57:47Do you remember this time? It is kind of like a fun moment
- 57:50and it feels again like very realistic.
- 57:52It's like they all kind of dropped the whole thing.
- 57:55They were actually being from kind of like what you were
- 57:58talking Talking about before it's like they fell back into
- 57:59the roles of you know being like high school friends again.
- 58:02Yeah. And then they go outside out
- 58:05back into the living room. They're in a new set of jammies
- 58:07orgy, and they are talking about their current love life's, and
- 58:12this is where Kayla mentions that she's going to be moving in
- 58:15with her girlfriend. And, you know, there's it's this
- 58:20whole thing because apparently, Danielle used to call Kalin ugly
- 58:25lesbian. We don't know that.
- 58:26Yeah, we don't know it yet. But I'm bringing it up now
- 58:29because it comes up later. So she used to call her that and
- 58:33it took until her mid-20s for her to come out and she's like,
- 58:37no, I knew back in high school. I was into girls.
- 58:39This isn't like a new thing because Daniel is like, oh my
- 58:41God, I'm so happy for you on top of that like, that's shitty
- 58:44enough, but then she like this is like a super genuine moment.
- 58:47They're talking about it and then she's like, oh my God, let
- 58:49me get the camera out. She's like, okay, start from the
- 58:50top. Yeah, this is making her Ruiz.
- 58:52Tell the story. Yeah.
- 58:53So they start doing a video of New York, New Year's resolutions
- 58:56in Caleb. You know, being somebody who is
- 59:01queer and apparently works in some sort of field where she's
- 59:05working with people that are, you know, either dealing with
- 59:09mental health, issues or some other disability that makes
- 59:11them, you know, maligned by in the general population, in some
- 59:17way starts, talking about how she feels, it's important to be
- 59:19connected and active for speaking into the things that
- 59:22she wants to. You know, that she thinks are
- 59:24important and Daniel's like oh hold on, we need to stop.
- 59:28Because politics can be kind of divisive to My Views.
- 59:31Our viewers, who maybe don't agree with me politically which
- 59:36is just it's such a fucking corporate talk and it's like I
- 59:43give a platform like take a stance man yes I feel like
- 59:46that's the more socially responsible thing to do speak
- 59:49about the things that are important to you.
- 59:52And you know if you lose a couple of bigots in the process
- 59:58yeah, like I'm sorry if you're making two hundred thousand
- 1:00:03dollars a year. In passive income alone.
- 1:00:05This is the figure they throw out.
- 1:00:06Like are is that a person's like that's not enough to make like a
- 1:00:11bougie lifestyle in LA. And here's the thing too, is
- 1:00:15that like ad Revenue, you have to have so many thousands of
- 1:00:19views to really make a decent amount off of the ad Revenue.
- 1:00:23If you lose a handful of bigots from it, is it going to hurt you
- 1:00:26that much? Because you might gain new
- 1:00:28people. I'm a person that if I hear
- 1:00:29somebody is like very Steadfast to their beliefs and their like,
- 1:00:32a good person. I'm a lot more willing to check
- 1:00:35them out. Then I'm going to be to somebody
- 1:00:36that just seems like wishy-washy.
- 1:00:38Yeah, totally. Basically, they're all talking
- 1:00:41about what their New Year's resolutions are and Danielle
- 1:00:44turns the camera over to Alexis, and Alexis is like, no, thank
- 1:00:47you. And Danny was like, come on
- 1:00:49Lexi. Come on, come on.
- 1:00:51She gets her face. She's talking to her like a dog.
- 1:00:53Yes, it's so weird. Except when we try and get our
- 1:00:57dog to do stuff on video and she doesn't want to do it.
- 1:00:59We turn off the fucking camera animus being.
- 1:01:04Yeah she she had this coming. Yeah I do not blame Alexis at
- 1:01:10all for taking the fun out of her hand fucking love it.
- 1:01:13It's so aggressive. Like Alexis just does all this
- 1:01:16shit that people want to do and then Daniel fucking Darrow's it
- 1:01:20like she denies that she did anything wrong and she was like
- 1:01:25that was really aggressive. I feel really scared and then
- 1:01:28she reverses victim and offender.
- 1:01:30She does classic narcissistic like Hallmarks of how you handle
- 1:01:37conflict. Yeah, and then like even
- 1:01:39afterwards when Alexa, the power goes out.
- 1:01:42So Alexis goes to the breaker box and Daniel's like I thought
- 1:01:44my phone would have gone through the window and they're like,
- 1:01:47well yeah, they kind of you know, replace the windows after
- 1:01:50everything, they don't want to say, directly what it is and
- 1:01:54he's like, I just feel, I'm still very traumatized by that
- 1:01:57mother. You were in her face your Oh,
- 1:02:00she told you know, very explicitly and clearly and
- 1:02:04honestly if you're a wellness Guru, shouldn't you be
- 1:02:07respecting boundaries? If I saw this shit like she
- 1:02:10uploaded the like, what the fuck is wrong this morning?
- 1:02:12Because there's one thing like you know, there are some people
- 1:02:14that like want to be asked to be included very explicitly.
- 1:02:19Yeah. Like not just like, okay, hey,
- 1:02:21you're here part of the group you do this, too.
- 1:02:22But like, no please. I really want to hear exactly
- 1:02:24what you want to say. Like you know, I know that you
- 1:02:26were planning on doing this. Do you have a resolution
- 1:02:29relates? That would be something.
- 1:02:30That would like speak to somebody.
- 1:02:32Just leave it at that. Yeah, feel like he's no, not
- 1:02:34getting their physical come on said.
- 1:02:35No, I don't want to be on camera.
- 1:02:37I don't want to do this. Please take the camera off of
- 1:02:39me. That was a very clear boundary
- 1:02:40that she said. Yeah.
- 1:02:41And it's just fucked up that she ignored it.
- 1:02:43Not that I'm saying violence is correct.
- 1:02:45But like yeah, getting the camera out of my face when you
- 1:02:48have it in my face like that, put it down, put it down.
- 1:02:51I like when she goes down there to the box to, you know, the
- 1:02:56reaction temperature. Yeah, catch things that know.
- 1:03:01Daniel and Alexis is responses.
- 1:03:17Let's just fucking party. Like I just love it.
- 1:03:21She's like, she doesn't want to do the schmaltzy bullshit.
- 1:03:25Yeah. And bullshit says, it feels so
- 1:03:28like scripted. She's like You're the one that I
- 1:03:32used to have engine snack food on Friday nights and nobody else
- 1:03:35wanted to hang out when she does this thing.
- 1:03:39So many times here. When she likes starts to talk
- 1:03:41about a why she like self deprecates that we shouldn't try
- 1:03:44and make herself a little bit relatable.
- 1:03:46She doesn't like the quirky girl way though.
- 1:03:48Yeah, exactly. Yeah, I can't stand that shit.
- 1:03:52So yeah, they're over it in quotation marks.
- 1:03:55Yeah. Okay.
- 1:03:56So now it's an hour till midnight.
- 1:03:58Danielle decides that You can have their phones, which is
- 1:04:02pretty fucking rude. Because Kayla just said, she's
- 1:04:04away from her girlfriends and presumably, she would want to
- 1:04:07talk to her. Yeah, I get one.
- 1:04:08Did we agree to this beforehand? No, I get like, making a
- 1:04:12commitment together, be like, hey, what's not check our phones
- 1:04:14for the next hour? But like just so I get them all
- 1:04:17like up and tie them away and just yeah, they're playing.
- 1:04:20Never have I ever. Yes, which can be really fun
- 1:04:25where it can be really bad. Depending on the vibe of the
- 1:04:27group. You gotta be on the same page.
- 1:04:29Yeah. And based on Previous Vibes of
- 1:04:32the night if it had been before the video throwing it, will ya
- 1:04:36never have her great but Alexis just through somebody's phone
- 1:04:40across the room. Maybe never have I ever notice
- 1:04:44how everything that's going across the room.
- 1:04:46Yeah it's like the first one you do.
- 1:04:48That's well they're playing never have I ever so nice is
- 1:04:52never have I ever slept with a celebrity clearly trying to
- 1:04:55bait. Danielle is all up in Danielle's
- 1:04:59business. It doesn't seem like Danielle's
- 1:05:01gonna drink it first. Like, she's like hello, maybe
- 1:05:03one of them has slept with the ceremony and then she realizes
- 1:05:06that they're thinking about her. She goes.
- 1:05:09So, she takes like a little Shifty drink and then she like,
- 1:05:13yeah. She draws it out because she's
- 1:05:14thinking of the story on the fly.
- 1:05:15Yeah. It very much feels like that.
- 1:05:17Also, this aged terribly terribly.
- 1:05:22I mean, I don't know you on mosque was a good person before
- 1:05:25but we know he's not now. Yeah, this is so sweet.
- 1:05:29This was like, only four years ago and Alexis is right.
- 1:05:33When she's like, you flew out to a stranger's Island.
- 1:05:36Like he's a stranger. Yeah.
- 1:05:39And I don't agree with her slut shaming her and calling her a
- 1:05:42whore. Yeah, that also like I am
- 1:05:44worried for Danielle's safety in the moment because like, that's
- 1:05:48how you die. That's how you get murdered and
- 1:05:50it's Elon Musk. He's not going to face any
- 1:05:52repercussions. I fucking love this.
- 1:05:54See this entire clips of this episode are going to get pulled
- 1:05:58from Twitter because he's in charge of today.
- 1:06:01I mean just to this whole thing like the whole tension between
- 1:06:04Alexis and Danielle. Like you can see that Danielle
- 1:06:08is back. It into a corner.
- 1:06:09And she's trying to think of these things as like, Alexis
- 1:06:12adds more pressure just a little bit more.
- 1:06:14Each time. I fucking love it, though.
- 1:06:16She's she just pushes like and kiss Kayla's.
- 1:06:19Like know any, she answered the question and like we're moving
- 1:06:22on, it's a game and then Alexis is like know the game is this is
- 1:06:26talking about the game. Yeah.
- 1:06:28Yeah we talked about these experiences we had together and
- 1:06:30fucking love that if she's like no bullshit from Alexis at all
- 1:06:34this is okay. You know we talked about the Sub
- 1:06:37sub genre of Like party games gone wrong and horror and was
- 1:06:43father. Yes.
- 1:06:44If this had been the entire like I could see an entire movie of
- 1:06:46never have I ever and like you're you know I can see that
- 1:06:50to. Yeah that'll be the next one
- 1:06:52instead of Truth or Dare. It's going to be never.
- 1:06:54Have I ever accept next month? We're actually talking about
- 1:06:56Truth or Dare. Oh yes we are.
- 1:06:57But you know I'm just saying that.
- 1:07:00That's our next movie. What will make that movie?
- 1:07:02Never have I ever saw them into it.
- 1:07:05Okay? All right.
- 1:07:07So It gets to, the point is very heated, tensions are high.
- 1:07:13They get through it and then I like so because never have I
- 1:07:15ever bleed a girl to the point that she killed herself and then
- 1:07:19she tackles Danielle & Poor's, an entire bottle of champagne on
- 1:07:24her face and then she says, get the balloons Tire up and saw
- 1:07:28what the plans were. Therefore, they weren't to guess
- 1:07:30you did. That's smart though.
- 1:07:33I mean, balloon is a really, it's not really strong material,
- 1:07:35like if Danielle really tried like it had not.
- 1:07:39Given up, she could have maybe gotten out of that.
- 1:07:41Yeah, I mean, our Roomba has like torn up of the last ring
- 1:07:45before like Danielle gave up immediately.
- 1:07:48She's like this is like I'm tied Scout and I want you thinking.
- 1:07:59So Alexis like, all right we're gonna make you tell everybody
- 1:08:03how terrible you actually are because you don't deserve any of
- 1:08:06this. And this very much comes across
- 1:08:08like Jealous rather than like we don't want you influencing other
- 1:08:12people like it's not, hey, we don't want you influencing these
- 1:08:18people. It's hey, you don't deserve
- 1:08:20this. Yeah.
- 1:08:21That's kind of how it is but they're like framing.
- 1:08:23This is their motive is like, she can't have influence over
- 1:08:28anybody. She's a terrible person.
- 1:08:30Like, if we, let her have any type of impact on like the
- 1:08:34youth, it's going to be bad. Yeah, so she It's record.
- 1:08:39Danielle. She's like confess and Danielle
- 1:08:42does exactly like what I said at the beginning.
- 1:08:44Where she frames it in such a way that she's like bullying is
- 1:08:48an issue. This is terrible.
- 1:08:50I hate the fact that this girl ended up killing herself.
- 1:08:53That's a problem. I'm complicit in that.
- 1:08:56I didn't do anything to stop it. Yeah, and here's the thing, in
- 1:08:59all of this is that neither Alexis nor Danielle are taking
- 1:09:05accountability because Danielle's acting like she
- 1:09:07wasn't an active participant in the Bullying same with Alexis
- 1:09:10and I'll. Yeah.
- 1:09:11And I like yeah Daniels like you were right there with me that
- 1:09:15night and I like this is like you had control over me.
- 1:09:18Yeah basically yeah. She's not even saying goodbye.
- 1:09:22Yeah. And she's not even saying like
- 1:09:24and I feel terrible about it. She's like no but you you did
- 1:09:27it? Yeah it's all you.
- 1:09:29I just like looking for somebody to blame I mean she couldn't she
- 1:09:32come fucking Darrow's right back onto.
- 1:09:34Yeah. I mean it's the whole thing with
- 1:09:36this movie, right? Like I feel like they're all
- 1:09:38terrible people. Except for maybe.
- 1:09:40Kayla. Kayla is the only good person.
- 1:09:41Yes. Caleb is, are you better than
- 1:09:44all of them Chloe's vulnerable? I feel like she's actually a
- 1:09:47good person. She just got, like, taken
- 1:09:48advantage of. I feel like Khloe never stood a
- 1:09:51chance. I feel like if she'd been around
- 1:09:53better influences, she would have a stronger will but she's
- 1:09:56got, such a weak will and she's very easily influenced and that
- 1:09:59doesn't make her actions. Okay.
- 1:10:00And it doesn't make her a good person, but I think in another
- 1:10:03life with a different Social Circles was gonna say her
- 1:10:05friend. Core is the problem.
- 1:10:07Yes. And then you have Alexis it's
- 1:10:09and Danielle and they like the same person.
- 1:10:10And here's the thing is that we're told Alexis is are, you
- 1:10:16know, heroin she is the pride tagging issues.
- 1:10:19The person were following, but we never see what happens that
- 1:10:23night. And obviously, is it a little
- 1:10:27bit suspicious that Alexis is the one with the scar and
- 1:10:30Danielle isn't that would mean that Alexis is closer to the
- 1:10:33window. When Kelsey fell out?
- 1:10:34Yeah, yeah. You're right.
- 1:10:35I feel like she would be like right there so like And I don't
- 1:10:39think that's the thing, is that we don't know.
- 1:10:42And I think it's great that they don't tell us.
- 1:10:44I think that it's pretty damning that Kayla.
- 1:10:47And Chloe are on Alexis decide right now, that does tell me
- 1:10:51that Danielle was probably the worst part of it.
- 1:10:55Yes, because they are all in agreement.
- 1:10:57Like yeah, Daniel fucking sucked.
- 1:10:59Yes, actually Mustang also don't.
- 1:11:02When Danielle says I didn't do that.
- 1:11:05I don't know what she's talking about.
- 1:11:07Like, They're willing to believe that and I'm not saying that
- 1:11:12Danielle is not manipulative enough to convince because
- 1:11:15that's how narcissists are thinking and that, and that's
- 1:11:18what I'm saying. That's what's great about this
- 1:11:20movie and the characterization of it all is that there's so
- 1:11:22much ambiguity, all we know for sure is that these people suck.
- 1:11:26Yeah, something terrible happened and they are complicit
- 1:11:30in some way, more or less. Yes, and they are doing more
- 1:11:33terrible things tonight. After the fact and none of its
- 1:11:37rectifying the situation and that is, in fact, making them
- 1:11:39all even worse people except for Kayla.
- 1:11:42Well, Kayla is kind of having second thoughts now.
- 1:11:46Yeah, backs out of the room and Alexis is like, nowhere.
- 1:11:49We got to take this a little bit further.
- 1:11:51Yeah. So Alexis gets some of those
- 1:11:53product samples smears am all over.
- 1:11:55Danielle's. Face Cuts our hair gives a good
- 1:11:58face. This is poop faces nasty.
- 1:12:01Yeah, she like just smeared it all over her makeup too, right?
- 1:12:04Yeah. It's all real.
- 1:12:05Banished. It's here, it's here, but it's
- 1:12:12also like, I don't like, it is a little bit like, upset.
- 1:12:15I got, It's upsetting. Yeah, that emotional when
- 1:12:19elevens hair was cut in the last season of stranger things, when
- 1:12:22she woke up in the vat and her hair was shaved off, and you
- 1:12:25could tell she was really upset because like, she had worked so
- 1:12:28hard to grow it out because it was part of overcoming her drama
- 1:12:31like at the hair thing is very psychological.
- 1:12:34Yeah, I guess so yeah, there's a reason it's been used as a
- 1:12:37torture device. Ice in in the past.
- 1:12:41Yeah. And probably unfortunately,
- 1:12:42current for today and this movie.
- 1:12:45Yes. Well I mean the world's not a
- 1:12:48bright and cheery Place necessarily so but yeah.
- 1:12:53So so she's got good face and this is where Kayla's like I
- 1:12:57didn't want to do any of this and so they all kind of split up
- 1:13:00she storms out, Alexis goes after her.
- 1:13:02And then while Chloe is a balloon with Danielle Danielle
- 1:13:07is basically, Telling her. Hey, if you set me free, I will
- 1:13:12give you my position on my old segment.
- 1:13:14I'm looking for the replacement anyways, because Sheamus she
- 1:13:18doesn't say that though. She says, I really came here to
- 1:13:21see if I thought my gut was right, that you would be a good
- 1:13:24replacement bullshit. Yeah.
- 1:13:26Like she saw it. Like, it's an obvious lie that
- 1:13:28she doesn't say anyway, like, hey, Set Me Free, and I'll make
- 1:13:30you my replacement. She's like, I actually came here
- 1:13:32with the idea to make you my replacement.
- 1:13:34Yeah, exactly. Yeah, that's them.
- 1:13:35It's devious and Like I said before, Chloe?
- 1:13:40She's too vulnerable. She's like, yeah, my life is
- 1:13:44shit. I could use low E is a hunter
- 1:13:46percent somebody that like, was once at a party asked, like how
- 1:13:51much money it would take for her to do X.
- 1:13:54And she had exact amount. Ready?
- 1:13:56Yes, which I get because I've but I, you know, there have been
- 1:14:00various situations where we watch a horror movie and I'd be
- 1:14:02like, you know what? That amount of money I do it.
- 1:14:04Oh, it's would you rather? I was just thinking that.
- 1:14:06Yes, because they the What's her face?
- 1:14:09She's a vegetarian and he offers her like a hundred thousand
- 1:14:12dollars or something, to eat some meat and I was like, I'd do
- 1:14:14it. Same with alcohol.
- 1:14:15Yeah, I would do like there when you are in Dire, Straits, your
- 1:14:21morals, go down a little bit to Maslow's hierarchy of needs.
- 1:14:26You know what I mean? Like again, it's like if you
- 1:14:29need to take care of certain things, your moral High Ground
- 1:14:32isn't going to be the most important thing to you.
- 1:14:34Yeah. It's a matter of like what you
- 1:14:35got to lose you? Yes, yeah.
- 1:14:37If you don't have a wife, And fuck it.
- 1:14:38Take the risk. Yeah.
- 1:14:40So what Chloe is seeing here is a way out of her desperate
- 1:14:43situation. Yeah.
- 1:14:45And so Alexis and kale are back and she's about to do some more
- 1:14:52shit's who were but Danielle's free kicks Alexis in the
- 1:14:57stomach. It's a closer to the ground and
- 1:14:59then everybody's wrestling. Yeah there's a lot of time to
- 1:15:02kick in in the water tummy lot of how many I like it.
- 1:15:05I appreciate that's like the go-to move.
- 1:15:07You know if I'm ever I can add need of self-defense.
- 1:15:10My go to movies. I'm just kicking the tummy.
- 1:15:12Yeah, yeah. And if you want, Travis to watch
- 1:15:15your movie, just let him know there's tummy kicking.
- 1:15:18Be like, I'll check it out. This shit's hilarious.
- 1:15:25Yes. So Chloe thought the plan was
- 1:15:30just that they were going to scare them but Daniel like, well
- 1:15:33we're going to leave them in the sauna for a couple of hours then
- 1:15:35we're going to tell the cops that they disappeared while
- 1:15:38we're watching a movie. And by the time we found out,
- 1:15:40they were already dead in clothes.
- 1:15:41Like, you haven't, you have the cover story?
- 1:15:45Yeah, she and it's like, well, if you think that they, that
- 1:15:49they won't tell them what we try to do it.
- 1:15:52Like, if you think it's okay like I'll try.
- 1:15:54Just your judgment. I just would hate for these
- 1:15:56rumors. Let's surprise.
- 1:15:58Like she's so fucking manipulative.
- 1:16:00And Khloe is such a little lap dog, that's just going along
- 1:16:03with all of it. Meanwhile up in the sauna Kayla
- 1:16:07is talking about how much all of them suck super relatable
- 1:16:11correct? Yeah, maybe not relatable just
- 1:16:15correct. Yeah, like they all are shitty
- 1:16:18people. She's a little bit
- 1:16:19self-righteous. Considering she agreed to some
- 1:16:22of this like she Actually helped tidy.
- 1:16:25Hello like what? Yeah, that's gonna happen.
- 1:16:27Like it was all going to be shitty the beginning with.
- 1:16:29She's not. Yes, either really?
- 1:16:31Yes. She's like, I agreed to scare
- 1:16:32her. Not torture her.
- 1:16:34You were ready to tie her up bitch, like and torture right?
- 1:16:39Like restricting movement. Yeah.
- 1:16:41That's kind of like the fucks you up.
- 1:16:42Yeah. So yeah.
- 1:16:45They, they end up finding like a champagne bottle and she busted
- 1:16:49open. They were locked in lucky that
- 1:16:51the window smashed inside of the bottle.
- 1:16:54It was a tough man would have loved, like, you know, kind of a
- 1:16:59nice guys moment where he like conscious of the window.
- 1:17:01And he's like, oh my God, my arms, all cut up.
- 1:17:02And yeah, well, you punch through 10, I would have loved
- 1:17:05that for her to hit the window with the bottle and the bottle
- 1:17:07smashes. And Alexis to just be like, what
- 1:17:10did you think would happen? I'm telling you, I've seen like
- 1:17:14I watch a lot of five videos, a lot of times in the liquor
- 1:17:17stores, the go-to weapon of choice for most people are
- 1:17:19liquor bottles like that. They take them punks on the
- 1:17:22headsman. You expect the About the bottle
- 1:17:24of the bus open. No, you just hear Boom?
- 1:17:27And then fucking knock out every single time y'all.
- 1:17:30I need you to know he's saying this for your all's benefit, not
- 1:17:33for mine, because he's explained this to me.
- 1:17:34He's shown me for all videos of this before.
- 1:17:38Yeah, this it is an actual morbid interest of his.
- 1:17:43So it's good. Okay.
- 1:17:46So it works. They had a pull like the cues.
- 1:17:51Are there Pool sticks. Yeah q6 Q 6.
- 1:17:55Yeah, they had them wedged in the door and they got him free.
- 1:17:58And then in the meantime, Danielle and Chloe are knifing
- 1:18:02up because they heard the window smash upstairs.
- 1:18:05So they're going to go out and look for them.
- 1:18:06Yeah. So Alexis and Kayla run down
- 1:18:09through the garage and they pull up the garage door and on the
- 1:18:11other side is they're just saying yelling Khloe.
- 1:18:14Yeah they were ready. It was a great moment.
- 1:18:16This is like a real reaction of because like the reaction from
- 1:18:20Kayla and Alexis it's a scream but like instead of Fight or
- 1:18:23flight Kayla chose Phi, is she just got kicked, Chloe, and then
- 1:18:28the reaction that Khloe has really good lingered on that
- 1:18:36moment way too long. And I'm like, oh, this is real.
- 1:18:39Like it's so accurate. I think even stun Danielle to
- 1:18:45cause she's like, oh my God, is she fucking kicked her in the
- 1:18:47stomach, so they like it gives them enough time to run away.
- 1:18:52Yeah. So, So they there's a whole lot
- 1:18:55of chasing going around and Kayla.
- 1:18:57Eventually is alone with Chloe and she talks to her.
- 1:19:00And it's like she's trying to reason with her giving her a now
- 1:19:02and we can go. Yeah.
- 1:19:04And Chloe is just like so nervous about it and she just
- 1:19:07like now not only does she have this possibility to get out of
- 1:19:11the mess? She's in but she doesn't want to
- 1:19:14get into a further Mess by being accused of attempted murder and
- 1:19:17she ends up hitting Kayla in the head and killing her.
- 1:19:21Yep, accidental though. He was freaking out, we
- 1:19:25accidental. I mean, she thinks she wanted to
- 1:19:27hurt her. Maybe knock her out, and think
- 1:19:28about it. And then I don't think she
- 1:19:31wanted to be the killer, but this kind of turns her into the
- 1:19:33killer. It does it does.
- 1:19:36She's not nearly remorseful enough for it though.
- 1:19:38She goes running down to tell Danielle about it and he was
- 1:19:41like, I'm so glad you put yourself first.
- 1:19:43Finally. Yeah.
- 1:19:44And Chloe's like, you know what, you're right.
- 1:19:47But yeah. But then Kayla's girlfriend
- 1:19:51shows up because Kayla Had managed to sneak her phone out
- 1:19:54at some point in collar and just say, like, I want to be home,
- 1:19:58but my car is broken down and Frankie's like I can come get
- 1:20:00you and she goes no, don't worry about it.
- 1:20:02Yeah, but Kayla's on been answering the phone.
- 1:20:05Yeah, she freaked out. She's like, fuck it.
- 1:20:06I'll go check. Yeah.
- 1:20:08And so she does and she's trying to Danielle and of course, let
- 1:20:11you know there's a celebrity there and she's like, oh yeah,
- 1:20:13you know, talking her and you know, Daniels like you know
- 1:20:15classic Kayla fall asleep. You know, right away and we're
- 1:20:19just proud of her for making it to midnight which we all know
- 1:20:21that friend like you. Like this, all feels very
- 1:20:24realistic. She was, you know, my sister
- 1:20:25really likes your videos and they talk and then Chloe is the
- 1:20:28one that says Ends up. Killing just comes out of
- 1:20:33nowhere. With a knife is a guy.
- 1:20:34Yeah, she got it imagined a like.
- 1:20:38Whoa. This is like an actual cool
- 1:20:40person. Yeah, no, she kills her.
- 1:20:43Meanwhile, like while all that's been happening, Alexis has been
- 1:20:46sneaking around to trying to like, figure out a way out.
- 1:20:49Hmm. Um, but like basically just ends
- 1:20:53up like, okay, so Frankie's dead.
- 1:20:56Yeah, and Alexis heard their whole conversation before
- 1:21:00Frankie came. I'm in where Danielle was
- 1:21:02talking about like what they're out like what their cover story
- 1:21:05would be like, oh, you know, we told her that she deserves
- 1:21:08better and she should break up and so she got jealous and came
- 1:21:11up here and it's just all tragic.
- 1:21:13Like she had like a whole, you know, whole fucking cover story
- 1:21:16ready to go. This is kind of sociopathic, but
- 1:21:20also like a little bit of impressive.
- 1:21:22She's not a good person then yeah.
- 1:21:25So Alexis goes, running away from the two of them because
- 1:21:34they see her and she goes to try and knock down Danielle and and
- 1:21:38said hits Khloe and Khloe rolls down the stairs and died is, and
- 1:21:43then Danielle and Alexis are fighting.
- 1:21:46And Danielle was just like full-on insulting.
- 1:21:48Alexis, like she is saying all of the thing.
- 1:21:51All of the terrible things that Alexis has been saying that she
- 1:21:53says all the time in a context that it doesn't make sense like
- 1:21:57it. Just be like, hey, you're a
- 1:21:59fucking asshole for trying to kill me.
- 1:22:01Like that's an insult. That makes sense.
- 1:22:02Totally totally necessary to, which is legal for, but she's
- 1:22:07like, you're a loser, you'll never be as good as me,
- 1:22:11everybody. Hates you like, is this like
- 1:22:14high school show? Yes, exactly.
- 1:22:16Exactly. And so, what ends up happening
- 1:22:18is because Danielle's like smashing her up against the
- 1:22:21window and it's tempered glass like it's cracking but it's only
- 1:22:24flew breaking through. And then Alexis flips around
- 1:22:26with Daniela. And then ends up pushing her
- 1:22:28through the window into the pool, where she hits her head
- 1:22:31and is dead. And then we cut to a YouTube
- 1:22:35video and it's the head of the Channel, Jesse something.
- 1:22:40And she is saying, as many of, you know, get well, Danielle was
- 1:22:46found tragically died on New Year's Day, but will blah here
- 1:22:50to remember her is her friend Alexis Alexis, you know, just
- 1:22:54whatever random bullshit she's in a crop top.
- 1:22:57Very like a respectful and mournful and not one to judge,
- 1:23:00like, I don't dislike crop tops. I just also feel like, if you're
- 1:23:04there for a memorial piece, like yeah, sure.
- 1:23:08But know what's even worse about that, though?
- 1:23:10She's like there to plug her own self and then like do self
- 1:23:15defense tactics like the, teach the fan self-defense.
- 1:23:18Yeah, a spicy y'all. Here's how we make our own
- 1:23:21pepper spray. Yes.
- 1:23:23Yeah. Is back to like the shitty
- 1:23:25YouTube videos. Yes.
- 1:23:27Yes. And then we get the and she uses
- 1:23:29the same cover story that Danielle had.
- 1:23:31Yeah. With jiang's about why everybody
- 1:23:33was Duchess like yeah our friend Kayla is girlfriend just like
- 1:23:36gaming caught. Everybody was crazy.
- 1:23:38Yeah. Yeah no way to disprove that, I
- 1:23:43guess. Yeah.
- 1:23:44Yeah. And then we get the worst
- 1:23:46fucking credits. Every like it's the most Bland
- 1:23:48credit appointing this movie had potential for really interesting
- 1:23:52like credits. Yeah.
- 1:23:54Like especially because they pulled out to a YouTube page and
- 1:23:56they have like the recommend Videos on the side.
- 1:23:58They could have like some right. I would have loved that.
- 1:24:00Yes, but you know what, though, what I'm about me reading up to
- 1:24:03an eight, the more we talk about it, the more I realize that
- 1:24:06there's like a lot of really good Nuance in the writing and
- 1:24:08it feels very real in a lot of ways.
- 1:24:09And even though there's things I would change, you know, maybe
- 1:24:14they could have flush out some ideas better.
- 1:24:16I think her TV movie, they did a really good job and I really
- 1:24:18enjoyed it. Okay.
- 1:24:20Um, I'm pretty good with mine. Still at 7.5.
- 1:24:24I like this movie a lot. It's you know.
- 1:24:27It's, it's a New Year's horror movie but it's not like really a
- 1:24:32big focus on the holiday. Yeah.
- 1:24:34It's like a Revenge movie, which shows are fun.
- 1:24:36But this is a fun one. Like, it's fun to have an excuse
- 1:24:39to watch this one every year. And like I said before, we don't
- 1:24:41even have to put this one on around the views.
- 1:24:43Like yeah it's not so aggressively like New Year's.
- 1:24:46That is like I feel weird watching this in July like it's
- 1:24:49just like, yeah how it's a Revenge movie takes place on New
- 1:24:52Year's but yeah, it's like it's a theme.
- 1:24:54Yeah, you know, it's just a fun. It feels like A movie that
- 1:24:57somebody wanted to make and then they had the opportunity to do
- 1:25:01it with this. Yeah they're like um yeah this
- 1:25:04is Blue Mouse like it's all going to take place around a
- 1:25:06holiday and I okay fucking New Year's soon.
- 1:25:08Okay. Is there a current our new
- 1:25:11average of 7.75? Hmm.
- 1:25:13Is there anything that it would take to make you bump up your
- 1:25:17Review. Any I don't know, I don't think
- 1:25:26that it would hurt to have a little bit more information
- 1:25:28about what exactly happened. Like, I guess the ambiguity is
- 1:25:31pretty nice, but at the same time like I don't know.
- 1:25:36I want to know, like I want to have like just a tiny little
- 1:25:38bit. Okay.
- 1:25:39So when I think you're gonna like my pitch for my dream
- 1:25:41sequel. Okay.
- 1:25:42Yeah. So my dreams equal still has
- 1:25:45Alexis And I don't know, I don't know what circumstances gets her
- 1:25:50into it, but she's in kind of a similar situation except it's
- 1:25:53with like, Kelsey sister or something.
- 1:25:56Oh, like Cara little kid. No, no.
- 1:25:59Kelsey the grand just, I mean, I make a suggestion, like our
- 1:26:03okay. Yeah.
- 1:26:04I wanted to be no. I want it to be somebody that's
- 1:26:06related to Kelsey and they can tell us the whole story of what
- 1:26:09happened with Kelsey, Daniel, Alexis, I got.
- 1:26:12So, she's getting her own revenge on Alexis.
- 1:26:14Okay, I like that. Yeah, that's good.
- 1:26:16I like that. Yeah, cool.
- 1:26:19Okay. Tires very activated during this
- 1:26:21movie. However, she did ask to go out
- 1:26:25multiple times. So maybe she didn't love it as
- 1:26:27much as us because she was very much, like it's been snowing.
- 1:26:30She loves the snow. She does, she does.
- 1:26:33But also like she was like, this is a fun movie, we're having
- 1:26:36fun. But also, let's go to other
- 1:26:38things. She got very concerned after the
- 1:26:41twist where yes, it was revealed that Alexis, like, what her plan
- 1:26:45was. And then, should I just - yeah.
- 1:26:49So I think maybe tie gives it a 7 Tim.
- 1:26:52Yeah, she like it's okay but like you know it's okay.
- 1:26:56Could be better. Yeah.
- 1:26:58Zoe I thought she was going to be tuned in for this because she
- 1:27:01came and she made a big point of trying to get comfortable on the
- 1:27:04couch with us. And then as soon as the first
- 1:27:05commercial hit because we're watching this on hula with ad
- 1:27:08breaks follow us from our financial tips and advice.
- 1:27:12Yeah, she left as soon as the first ad hit.
- 1:27:16Yeah. Really catcher.
- 1:27:18This is like a Slow Burn. Yeah.
- 1:27:19And so he doesn't like that. Okay, cool.
- 1:27:23Okay. Tagline tagline for this.
- 1:27:34Nothing can get in the way between me and my toxic
- 1:27:37positivity. Okay, I like it.
- 1:27:40Do you like thinking get in the way of?
- 1:27:42Wait, wait. This was condensed it a little
- 1:27:44bit. That's all.
- 1:27:45That's all. I was trying to like, do the
- 1:27:46Mantra okay. Nothing can get in the way
- 1:27:48between me and my dreams. Okay, hmm, sure, nothing can get
- 1:27:52in between me and my dreams. Nothing can get in between me
- 1:27:54and my toxic positivity. Okay, because I feel like the
- 1:27:59problem with the original tag on him, is they feel like I had to
- 1:28:01be new year's theme? Yeah.
- 1:28:03No. Miss sound.
- 1:28:04Like, you know what, that's not really the core of this movie.
- 1:28:06Like let's actually get to like what this movie is about.
- 1:28:09I dig it. Okay, all right.
- 1:28:11Cool. Okay, you got reviews?
- 1:28:15Yes, I have. Okay, so like I alluded to
- 1:28:18before, there were several reviews on.
- 1:28:22IMDb that appeared to be missing the point and I guess at some
- 1:28:29points, you can say, maybe it's bad writing.
- 1:28:33But at other points that also just feels very pointed of like,
- 1:28:38we don't want to like this movie.
- 1:28:39We want something different from it.
- 1:28:41Yeah, which is fine, Different Strokes for different folks but
- 1:28:44don't like Point, don't harp on this point.
- 1:28:47Like it's a problem, you know, when it says, it's not you, it's
- 1:28:50just like, it's just the movie. So there were like, a lot of
- 1:28:52people that were like, why did they focus so much on her scar?
- 1:28:55And then all of a sudden, she didn't have a problem with it.
- 1:28:58She all of a sudden, have a problem with it because she had
- 1:29:00a way to get into, Show business or you know, whatever you want.
- 1:29:05I I feel like in the age of social media influence, you can
- 1:29:08call YouTube stuff show business.
- 1:29:09I think so too. Yeah, like she had a way to get
- 1:29:12into it that she wouldn't have before and not trying to draw a
- 1:29:16gendered line to it, but it was a lot of male reviewers that
- 1:29:20were making those comments. I figured it would be and then
- 1:29:24like why is the shy girl throwing this party?
- 1:29:27Shouldn't be one of her more outgoing from.
- 1:29:30Well it's three fucking people that she's Been friends with for
- 1:29:33decades. So also, you're kind of missing
- 1:29:36the point and also, it's not like party.
- 1:29:39It's a Revenge plan. Yeah.
- 1:29:40So it took a lot to find an actual review that I thought had
- 1:29:45points of discussion that we can actually talk about, so let's
- 1:29:48hear it. Okay, this is a 4 out of 10 on
- 1:29:51IMDb. It's a user of you, okay?
- 1:29:53I think in to deliver very well, making it a little slow and
- 1:29:56confusing, especially the back story about the suicide.
- 1:29:59But still, it has very good comment on social media and how
- 1:30:02are Operation to find success. One thing is the public Persona
- 1:30:06and a completely different thing is, what goes on in real life,
- 1:30:09really enjoyed the ending. Although it was kind of
- 1:30:11predictable and you have to appreciate the whole manifesting
- 1:30:15and affirmations irony, okay? So they like the premise felt
- 1:30:19like it could have been done a little bit differently, huh?
- 1:30:23Yeah, I can get that, you know? Like I think that this movie is
- 1:30:27fun. Oh yeah, but you know it's just
- 1:30:30this is just the movie. Yeah, you know.
- 1:30:32It's One of those right there. Again, like this is what it is.
- 1:30:34Like, if you don't like it and that's fine, it's just not for
- 1:30:37you. And I can understand wanting
- 1:30:40more of the backstory to the suicide.
- 1:30:41But I also feel like that ambiguity makes it a little bit
- 1:30:46more ambiguous as to how complicit Alexis really was.
- 1:30:51I guess when you think about it, he actually on equal grounds
- 1:30:54with Danielle, maybe. We don't know if you don't want
- 1:30:57them to know anything about that.
- 1:30:58Like if the whole point is to be guessing them like yeah, I get
- 1:31:02it. Like leaving it ambiguous.
- 1:31:04Yeah. At the same time.
- 1:31:06Like as a viewer is kind of like fuck man.
- 1:31:08Like what happened? Like yeah.
- 1:31:10What like tell me more about Kelsey, you know.
- 1:31:12Yeah. Pushed you should be persons.
- 1:31:14Who are wish you like truly a victim because it sounds like
- 1:31:16they were all shitty. You know.
- 1:31:19It sounds like she had no friends.
- 1:31:20In these two girls were like, we can be your friend.
- 1:31:22But first, I'm going to tell you all the ways we hate you, okay?
- 1:31:25See. I don't just based on the little
- 1:31:27bit of dialogue. We got about her gasps you.
- 1:31:29Okay. I don't know, the movie needs to
- 1:31:31tell me a little bit more. About that too.
- 1:31:33Okay. Okay.
- 1:31:34And that's where I get it. I get with this person.
- 1:31:36Say okay we we didn't do who do you relate to oh Khloe, Khloe
- 1:31:43obviously a said multiple times throughout this whole episode
- 1:31:46how much? I release Chloe so it's I really
- 1:31:48to Chloe I I would say Alexis because of her like aversion to
- 1:31:57social media bullshit that Danielle tries to force on
- 1:32:01everybody like sticking a camera and everybody's face for every
- 1:32:04event like that's obnoxious. And like I get that It was a
- 1:32:09little bit more personal between her and Danielle, but at the
- 1:32:12same time, it was just nice to see him like that, just get
- 1:32:15called out in public and be like, why the fuck are you
- 1:32:17doing? This is stupid.
- 1:32:19Well, I'm not selling anything to you about this movie is that
- 1:32:21I do feel like it. Sometimes is a little bit
- 1:32:22wish-fulfillment, like, everything we wanted to say to
- 1:32:25that person in our lives. Yeah.
- 1:32:27So even though Alexis is not the good guy in this movie, it is
- 1:32:31also very light shower for her wanted more than Danielle, we
- 1:32:33yeah, yeah, so, okay cool. Alright, that's it for this.
- 1:32:38Episode. Do we have any listener,
- 1:32:39reviews? We don't have any listener
- 1:32:41juice. Nobody's seen this.
- 1:32:43I know Mary Beth said that she loves the into this other guy,
- 1:32:46so she's aware of the. Yeah.
- 1:32:48I believe we could take that as her liking, it potentially.
- 1:32:53That could be her. That's her, you.
- 1:32:55Thank you. Mary Beth.
- 1:32:57We appreciate your contribution. Yeah.
- 1:33:00No. I didn't have anybody else that
- 1:33:02said anything. Okay.
- 1:33:04Okay. Okay so yeah.
- 1:33:07I mean that's kind Be expected with mostly these into the dark.
- 1:33:12One's this is our second one. Now, we did the fuck was, I call
- 1:33:16it my Valentine? Yeah, we did my Valentine for
- 1:33:19Valentine's Day and then last year on Thanksgiving, we guests
- 1:33:22did on shaking not scared spot. Castell, granted Pilgrim which
- 1:33:26is also an into the dark. Yeah.
- 1:33:28So Alright. Alright.
- 1:33:32Well that's it for this one. We already did the front loading
- 1:33:35with the social media and everything so we don't need to
- 1:33:36do that now. And speaking of our social
- 1:33:40media, be sure to check that out because that's how you'll find
- 1:33:42out what our next move is going to be, haven't really searching
- 1:33:45to reschedule. Yeah.
- 1:33:46Until next time everybody. All right, bye-bye, Happy New
- 1:33:50Year's Happy New Year's be the best you.
- 1:33:53You can be yes New Year, New You, Man.
- 1:34:08Truth or Dare is going to be my birthday episode.
