- 0:00Speaker 1: You're listening to a lily Pad production.
- 0:05Speaker 2: This is the Team Up Play Show podcast.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Previously in the City of Bones.
- 0:41Speaker 3: Clank Industries is under attack. What we think is a
- 0:45Speaker 3: man is changing form. He's been seen with bare arms,
- 0:51Speaker 3: a giant lizard tail, buzzing wings attacking the factory. He's
- 0:56Speaker 3: smashing down walls.
- 0:57Speaker 2: The power is astounding.
- 1:00Speaker 4: Jumps out of the clp hops on his bike and.
- 1:04Speaker 3: Speeds off, and you see some footage of a monster
- 1:10Speaker 3: tentacles wings, smashing into the building and screaming.
- 1:15Speaker 1: George alson Jill, I think, I think I'm gonna have
- 1:20Speaker 1: to reheat my chicken. I pull on my Botta clava
- 1:23Speaker 1: and open a window, run a couple of blocks before
- 1:25Speaker 1: a lightning strike. So it's away from Jillian's apartment.
- 1:32Speaker 5: Arthur, I'm gonna go to the bathroom. I run out
- 1:37Speaker 5: of the door, skate skating towards a towards the action.
- 1:50Speaker 3: In the founding age of New Babble, there was a
- 1:53Speaker 3: young woman named Francis Olsen. She went by Frank the Clank.
- 2:01Speaker 3: She saw great opportunity in New Babbel. She worked with
- 2:04Speaker 3: the great scientists of the age to create the first
- 2:08Speaker 3: hovering gas powered cars. She was a visionary, a pioneer,
- 2:14Speaker 3: and by all accounts, a good woman. Clank Industries has
- 2:19Speaker 3: been building cars for the citizens of New Babel ever since.
- 2:23Speaker 3: Outside of Ellington Electric, they are the only car manufacturer
- 2:27Speaker 3: in New Babel. When Frank the Clank was in charge,
- 2:32Speaker 3: cars were affordable, cars were unaffordable convenience. Under her son
- 2:39Speaker 3: and grandson, however, they have become a symbol of luxury
- 2:44Speaker 3: and decadence. They have become unnecessarily gaudy, curvacous, and long
- 2:53Speaker 3: in worship to their lack of self awareness. They named
- 2:56Speaker 3: their newest and most opulent model of cars after their founder,
- 3:00Speaker 3: who would have hated them. So if you want to
- 3:04Speaker 3: roll up and be somebody in this town, and you
- 3:07Speaker 3: better roll up in a Frank from Clank Industries.
- 3:12Speaker 2: Is a grandson's name. Also rhyme with clank.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Nope, I'm just imagining like the Oscar, Myer Wiener car.
- 3:21Speaker 6: And curvaceous, damn phallic s car. No wheels to get
- 3:33Speaker 6: the way because it hovers. It's a hovering hot Do you.
- 3:37Speaker 3: Think when I would be writing this, I would have
- 3:39Speaker 3: noticed that I was just talking about hot talk car.
- 3:45Speaker 3: Fuck me, No, They're long and sexy like the Batmobile.
- 3:50Speaker 2: But they're not.
- 3:52Speaker 3: They're not for utility, they're for They're for parties and sex.
- 3:56Speaker 2: Like the Oscar Mayerwenamobile.
- 4:04Speaker 3: Jason, that's me. You arrive first as the headquarters of
- 4:10Speaker 3: this storied pillar of the community is being smashed into
- 4:15Speaker 3: by a monster. The oaths the rubble and dust envelope
- 4:21Speaker 3: you as you get as you get close, you catch
- 4:24Speaker 3: a wriggling lizard tail as something moves into a hole
- 4:29Speaker 3: that it made in the side of the building. The
- 4:32Speaker 3: headquarters is not their main production facility. There is, however,
- 4:36Speaker 3: like a small show factory where they could make a
- 4:39Speaker 3: singular car for investors or high high pain customers.
- 4:43Speaker 2: A prototype hot dog car.
- 4:45Speaker 7: Yeah, God damn it, they're fancy their fancy car all
- 4:53Speaker 7: beef mustard, Italian sausage. This is the area that the
- 5:00Speaker 7: the monster has entered into. This small show factory is
- 5:05Speaker 7: on the ground floor, but it is attached to a
- 5:08Speaker 7: high rise that contains like the rest of the company's offices.
- 5:12Speaker 3: Here's what we're gonna do. You guys are all gonna
- 5:14Speaker 3: arrive here at different times and enter the order at
- 5:17Speaker 3: different times because you were different parts of the city. Yep,
- 5:22Speaker 3: Jason was closest, Jamir was the next closest, and Kant
- 5:25Speaker 3: was the furthest away. So we're gonna roll a ready
- 5:28Speaker 3: check against each other. Jason. If you lose, you'll enter
- 5:32Speaker 3: the order three l's away from this creature. For every
- 5:36Speaker 3: point you beat me by, that'll move you one l
- 5:39Speaker 3: closer heard when you enter the order. So roll already,
- 5:43Speaker 3: put me in the hole. Put me in the hole.
- 5:46Speaker 3: Eight nice?
- 5:48Speaker 5: Just a curvacious lot long, like looking at two hot dogs,
- 5:54Speaker 5: but from the front, on top of each other.
- 6:01Speaker 3: Jesus, Okay, you beat me by six. I rolled it
- 6:05Speaker 3: too nice. So Jason, how do you enter in?
- 6:08Speaker 8: Uh?
- 6:09Speaker 3: So you're gonna get so he's crawling through. So he's
- 6:11Speaker 3: basically where the where the sidewalk becomes this building, and
- 6:17Speaker 3: there's a hole in it that he's made. You catch
- 6:20Speaker 3: this slithering lizard detail. There are some people scattered about,
- 6:26Speaker 3: seem down, bleeding from wounds. How do you approach You're
- 6:32Speaker 3: going to start your turn in his.
- 6:33Speaker 2: L Yeah, I'm so.
- 6:34Speaker 5: I'm covered from head to toe in like library book
- 6:37Speaker 5: paper at this point, and I'm I'm just going to
- 6:40Speaker 5: cling to the shadows. I want to find the hole
- 6:43Speaker 5: and try and sneak in there. Afterwards, I see that
- 6:46Speaker 5: the people are in pain, but I understand the phantom
- 6:51Speaker 5: is hungry and ready for ready for blood. So I'm
- 6:55Speaker 5: a sneak sneak in through the hole. Oh and I too,
- 6:59Speaker 5: My double dog becomes my ready score right, okay an eight.
- 7:03Speaker 1: Double boys and double dogs.
- 7:06Speaker 3: Takes two boys have two ducks. Woof, thank you. So
- 7:12Speaker 3: why don't you go ahead and roll a sneak check?
- 7:15Speaker 5: Yeah, I am gonna empower this bad boy.
- 7:19Speaker 3: My cloak total of ten and got it. As far
- 7:24Speaker 3: as you know, you're hidden. It is this creature's turn.
- 7:29Speaker 3: You see mostly a man. The tail that you saw
- 7:34Speaker 3: slither into the building kind of sucks up into the
- 7:37Speaker 3: rest of his body, and it is a healed, normal
- 7:41Speaker 3: kind of man.
- 7:42Speaker 2: Here.
- 7:43Speaker 3: He kind of spreads his arms out and he says, George,
- 7:48Speaker 3: screaming out into this warehouse. There are workers in here
- 7:53Speaker 3: that have been kind of cowering as they heard something
- 7:56Speaker 3: pounding into the side of this wall. They are scattered
- 8:02Speaker 3: throughout this area. But coward and this man is screaming
- 8:06Speaker 3: out George, George, and he's gonna take a movement for
- 8:12Speaker 3: his turn.
- 8:13Speaker 5: Do I clock anybody turn around? Does anybody look like
- 8:16Speaker 5: anybody look like a George? We'll come check. Is that
- 8:19Speaker 5: to see if somebody's got the face of a George?
- 8:21Speaker 5: Why don't you just roll like a sense check for
- 8:23Speaker 5: the room?
- 8:26Speaker 9: Oh?
- 8:26Speaker 5: Can I also add my paper sense to this if
- 8:28Speaker 5: I'm checking their name badgies?
- 8:30Speaker 2: Oh sure, let's go.
- 8:34Speaker 1: They're not plastic. They all have paper name back.
- 8:36Speaker 2: They're laminated. I don't know. That's six six some sense?
- 8:40Speaker 3: Great, I'm rolling a average check for you.
- 8:46Speaker 2: I rolled a three.
- 8:47Speaker 3: Yeah, you don't gather a name George on anyone's stuff.
- 8:52Speaker 3: And it doesn't seem like anyone in the room reacts
- 8:56Speaker 3: to George specifically, more just scared of whatever the fuck
- 8:59Speaker 3: is going on. All right, Jamiir, you're going to enter
- 9:02Speaker 3: this round, so let's have a let's have a ready
- 9:07Speaker 3: check from.
- 9:07Speaker 4: You ready for me as a D six and I
- 9:12Speaker 4: got a six damn four.
- 9:15Speaker 3: So you can also start your turn here when you
- 9:19Speaker 3: enter order in in the l of this monster.
- 9:23Speaker 2: Wonderful.
- 9:24Speaker 3: So Jason, we're back up to the top that I
- 9:25Speaker 3: can claze your turn. Okay, so this is phase two, correct, gotcha?
- 9:30Speaker 3: I want to try something stupid, as as always, I
- 9:33Speaker 3: want to try and from from my Heidi Heidi hole
- 9:36Speaker 3: sort of in the in the rafters of the factory here.
- 9:39Speaker 3: I'd like to you went up if that's possible. Yeah,
- 9:43Speaker 3: Or is he's he's on the ground floor. Yes, he's
- 9:45Speaker 3: walking the ground You're welcome to be in the rafters,
- 9:47Speaker 3: but you're just one l above him.
- 9:49Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 9:50Speaker 1: I think i'll because it's like an office building, right,
- 9:53Speaker 1: it's not a factory.
- 9:55Speaker 3: This part is a factor. Oh I misheard that. That's okay,
- 9:58Speaker 3: there are like two l's than this section. But he
- 10:01Speaker 3: seems to be moving towards the more office part of it.
- 10:06Speaker 3: He has moved since it was your last turn. But
- 10:08Speaker 3: you were hidden up in the rafters.
- 10:10Speaker 5: Okay, I'm gonna try and Shu, I I should capitalize
- 10:14Speaker 5: on the fact that I'm hidden, and I'm just going
- 10:16Speaker 5: to start gathering paper to me from around. I won't
- 10:21Speaker 5: be stupid yet, I promise I will.
- 10:24Speaker 2: Be stupid, but not.
- 10:25Speaker 1: We're gonna hold you to it.
- 10:26Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm just gonna gonna charge up my my my cloak.
- 10:31Speaker 2: Sounds good, jamir. It's your turn.
- 10:35Speaker 3: You're gonna start your turn within this guy's l So
- 10:37Speaker 3: it's up to you what you want to do.
- 10:39Speaker 2: Okay, do I is this guy like actively destroying things
- 10:45Speaker 2: slush being a threat to people's lives.
- 10:48Speaker 3: It doesn't seem you haven't you You do see the
- 10:52Speaker 3: people that have been hurt. Okay, you, but you you
- 10:55Speaker 3: also as you kind of enter, whether you enter from
- 10:58Speaker 3: above or from the ground level, you do hear him
- 11:00Speaker 3: screaming as it seems to be looking for someone specific.
- 11:05Speaker 3: I think that's all you get from like a first rate.
- 11:08Speaker 4: Yeah, Jamiir will zoom in, gripping the front of his
- 11:12Speaker 4: flight Star, and I'll let go and kind of stand
- 11:17Speaker 4: up as tall as I can, and I will look
- 11:22Speaker 4: confidently toward this freak and I'll say, hey, buddy, I
- 11:28Speaker 4: don't know who George is, but we need to calm
- 11:31Speaker 4: this down. People are getting hurt, and I'll use my
- 11:35Speaker 4: utility action to steal up. So, yeah, JIMMYR will brace
- 11:39Speaker 4: himself just in case this guy attacks, but I'm not
- 11:43Speaker 4: gonna I'm not gonna aggress right now.
- 11:46Speaker 3: Sounds good? As Jamiir swoops in, both of you notice
- 11:49Speaker 3: something here. People will peek their head in from the
- 11:54Speaker 3: hole that's created now twenty feet from the monster. Since
- 11:57Speaker 3: he's moved in and there are people with cam video cameras,
- 12:02Speaker 3: tape recorders, photo cameras starting to take notice, and Jamier
- 12:08Speaker 3: stands before this monster taking a stand. Blue do rag
- 12:14Speaker 3: and all or is the blue is the.
- 12:18Speaker 9: Oh?
- 12:19Speaker 4: Yes, still got the do rag with the eyeholes cut
- 12:21Speaker 4: out for the top half my face, and still got
- 12:24Speaker 4: the bandana for the bottom half of the face. Still
- 12:27Speaker 4: wearing the athletic wear in the combat boots, but not
- 12:31Speaker 4: real combat boots, just thick souled black boots.
- 12:36Speaker 3: Yes, mal Goth. I think you described them as sure.
- 12:40Speaker 2: That would be a fair assessment.
- 12:43Speaker 3: The world is starting to see you stand in front
- 12:46Speaker 3: of this monster. He looks down at you, He looks,
- 12:51Speaker 3: he takes your words into consideration. He looks around at
- 12:55Speaker 3: the people frightened of him and says, it wouldn't work.
- 13:00Speaker 9: Is implicit in any way, They're already dead.
- 13:06Speaker 3: I think you mean complicit. He is going to attack you.
- 13:15Speaker 3: His face becomes long and pronounced like a crocodile, and
- 13:21Speaker 3: he comes in and he tries to snap at your
- 13:24Speaker 3: throat with crocodile tear. He is going to attack you.
- 13:38Speaker 3: He's going to use a power attribute to terrorize you.
- 13:44Speaker 3: I rolled shit free damage coming to you, Jamir.
- 13:47Speaker 4: Okay, so I'm already stealed up and I get to
- 13:52Speaker 4: roll my resilience, which is now.
- 13:55Speaker 3: At the eighth plus, then you get to add one.
- 14:00Speaker 2: Hell yeah, I rolled an eight, so I reseal for five.
- 14:04Speaker 3: Damn these crocodile teeth try to close in on your
- 14:09Speaker 3: neck and scare the living shit out of you. This
- 14:13Speaker 3: is a terrorizing attack from a super villain in this city,
- 14:19Speaker 3: from a man the likes of which these people with
- 14:23Speaker 3: their cameras have never before seen. How does Jamiir take
- 14:28Speaker 3: it in this moment?
- 14:30Speaker 4: I think Jamiir's gonna just grab the top and bottom
- 14:35Speaker 4: of the crocodile's mouth, the crockman's mouth, and just kind
- 14:40Speaker 4: of flexing, just holding it open from closing around him.
- 14:46Speaker 3: Gurgles at you as you hold him at bay.
- 14:52Speaker 2: Aws. You don't want this, my brother, Boo.
- 15:05Speaker 3: We roll for Quanta or no, not roll? Yes, we
- 15:09Speaker 3: do roll.
- 15:10Speaker 1: Ready.
- 15:10Speaker 3: It's a ready check to see where you enter the
- 15:12Speaker 3: initiative and where you enter physically here.
- 15:16Speaker 1: I don't think you're ready, phone, it's ready five five.
- 15:22Speaker 3: You beat me by three, So you can also start
- 15:25Speaker 3: with in his l if you'd like.
- 15:27Speaker 1: Great, I strike into the room on a lightning bolt.
- 15:33Speaker 1: I also still have on have on once again my
- 15:35Speaker 1: sweatpants and balaclava and my headphones with my VHS tapeholster
- 15:42Speaker 1: on my hip, and look around taking it all in.
- 15:45Speaker 3: Yeah, you see Jamir holding back the jaws of a
- 15:49Speaker 3: crocodile face man who otherwise looks like a man.
- 15:53Speaker 10: Jeel little help here, got it? I will. So now
- 15:58Speaker 10: we go back to the door. This is you and initiative.
- 16:01Speaker 10: As you do you swing kind of in the hole
- 16:04Speaker 10: he made? Or do you come from the roof?
- 16:06Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 16:06Speaker 1: I crash in through the hole.
- 16:08Speaker 3: Okay, So you crash right past this group of reporters
- 16:13Speaker 3: and journalists, people taking notes holding up their little their
- 16:17Speaker 3: little tape recorders as you zip over them. So we're
- 16:21Speaker 3: back up to the top. It's Jason's turn. All right,
- 16:23Speaker 3: I'm gonna drop down on this fool. I charge up
- 16:26Speaker 3: cloak and I'm gonna try and blind him with p Oh,
- 16:30Speaker 3: it's gonna be ten damage. Oh sorry eleven with the
- 16:33Speaker 3: plus one. I'm so sorry, eleven damage coming coming to
- 16:37Speaker 3: you and I'm hidden the So suck it.
- 16:40Speaker 5: I guess you can't. Yeah, we're gonna suck it. Yes, Yeah,
- 16:46Speaker 5: as I'll as I'll come down. I'm trying to wrap
- 16:48Speaker 5: the paper around his his head, his eyes, his crocodile face.
- 16:54Speaker 2: Let's say nighty night.
- 17:02Speaker 3: He cannot react because you're hidden. He only reseals. I'm
- 17:08Speaker 3: rolling ass. He reseals for two, which means you do
- 17:14Speaker 3: find damage nine damage. Nice, and he'll be blinded and
- 17:18Speaker 3: he's blinded, which means he cannot react until he's unblinded.
- 17:22Speaker 2: What else does blind do? Can't react and we'll roll
- 17:26Speaker 2: low on all attacks.
- 17:27Speaker 3: Damn, that's nice, very jamiir. You see paper come out
- 17:33Speaker 3: of nowhere. You didn't even know that the paper phantom
- 17:37Speaker 3: was here when you came in, and paper covers the
- 17:41Speaker 3: head of this crock face.
- 17:43Speaker 2: It's your turn.
- 17:44Speaker 9: Great.
- 17:46Speaker 4: With my hands still holding his mouth, I'm just gonna.
- 17:53Speaker 2: Try to quickly let go with my right.
- 17:56Speaker 4: Hand, try to duck out of the closing jaw, and
- 18:00Speaker 4: just punch this guy.
- 18:02Speaker 2: In the gut.
- 18:03Speaker 3: Awesome, roll your damage, rolling with precision. Because I'm close
- 18:09Speaker 3: up and I got a six.
- 18:14Speaker 1: I was just gonna make a silly joke about punching
- 18:18Speaker 1: King k Rule in the tom tongue.
- 18:20Speaker 9: Exactly.
- 18:22Speaker 2: What's the joke. That's not the joke is his belly
- 18:25Speaker 2: golden and.
- 18:27Speaker 1: Isn't a big is it a big round tummy?
- 18:31Speaker 2: Shout out to Kinks.
- 18:34Speaker 3: He's tummy right now is just human but six packed
- 18:39Speaker 3: six pack. He rolls all resilience and well, okay, he
- 18:46Speaker 3: rolls pretty good on his resilience. He rolls a six,
- 18:49Speaker 3: so that turns into three. So he does get a
- 18:51Speaker 3: little golden kingk he tightens up those albs. Yeah, he
- 18:58Speaker 3: goldens up those abs. As your strike still hits him,
- 19:04Speaker 3: he does get the wind knocked out of him here
- 19:07Speaker 3: for three more damage. Yikes, Jason just gonna poke out
- 19:12Speaker 3: from behind. Ride to Quanta, Hey Wave, thanks for phantom
- 19:18Speaker 3: Quanta your turn.
- 19:19Speaker 1: As soon as I arrive. I want to have done
- 19:22Speaker 1: a sense of the situation of him, of the people
- 19:26Speaker 1: around here, the people that are down in particular. Yeah,
- 19:29Speaker 1: and are they alive? What is his state? Even though
- 19:33Speaker 1: it's kind of obvious he's flipset.
- 19:36Speaker 3: Yeah, roll a roll of a sense check four. Okay,
- 19:40Speaker 3: this is a challenging check. I'm rolling a D ten.
- 19:43Speaker 3: There's a lot going on here. I rolled a seven,
- 19:46Speaker 3: so that's a failure. Do get obviously his anger he
- 19:50Speaker 3: has a mission here. You do also see that the
- 19:53Speaker 3: people that are you all see the people. There's people
- 19:56Speaker 3: that have moved to the outer edge of this warehouse space.
- 20:01Speaker 3: And then the people that are knocked out outside don't
- 20:04Speaker 3: seem dead. They seem knocked out. But that's all you get, Okay,
- 20:07Speaker 3: I say.
- 20:07Speaker 1: Oh, why is it always animals? As I let mine
- 20:10Speaker 1: whip make out of my hands and we'll crack at him.
- 20:14Speaker 2: Got it? Six six damage? Yes, damn, he reseals for two.
- 20:22Speaker 1: I would love it too. So the papers wrapped around
- 20:24Speaker 1: his head, I would love this to wrap around his
- 20:27Speaker 1: snout like I'm a crocodile hunter.
- 20:30Speaker 3: Yes, wraps around his snout. Her with the paper around
- 20:34Speaker 3: his head, the thing around his snout, trying to scream
- 20:39Speaker 3: it's his turn. He's going to use a utility action
- 20:44Speaker 3: to try to break the blinded condition. So all there
- 20:47Speaker 3: is is paper around his head. So he's gonna roll
- 20:50Speaker 3: strength plus might to rip it off. You are going
- 20:54Speaker 3: to roll hmmm, You're gonna roll cokes plus your papermancy
- 21:01Speaker 3: to keep it on. Eleven whoo, fourteen, His hands turn
- 21:10Speaker 3: into big old claws and he shreds it off like
- 21:14Speaker 3: a Tasmanian devil, ripping it off of his face. He
- 21:18Speaker 3: is no longer blinded. He enraged yells at you all stampers.
- 21:25Speaker 9: I I'm the good guy here.
- 21:27Speaker 2: You fools. He's going to use his supervillain action.
- 21:34Speaker 9: Oh no.
- 21:35Speaker 3: So he gets two actions per round, and he rolled
- 21:40Speaker 3: two and a one in his order. So he goes
- 21:43Speaker 3: back to back. So that was a utility action. He
- 21:47Speaker 3: is using a second utility action for free or. His
- 21:51Speaker 3: arms spread out and starting with his fingers, his hands
- 21:56Speaker 3: unlined and uncurl into enormously long tentacles, strong and under
- 22:03Speaker 3: his full control. He reaches out on either side of
- 22:07Speaker 3: him and uses the utility actions to grab two people.
- 22:13Speaker 3: Oh no, and he throws them up into the air
- 22:18Speaker 3: and say.
- 22:18Speaker 1: Good guys, don't do that.
- 22:20Speaker 3: That's his turn, and then that's the end of this round.
- 22:25Speaker 3: So we're back up to the top. So everything resets
- 22:28Speaker 3: tree with Jason right, two people in the air. They
- 22:32Speaker 3: will hit the ground at the end of this phase.
- 22:34Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm gonna try, And I don't think I can
- 22:36Speaker 5: save both of them with one action, can I? Does
- 22:39Speaker 5: one of them look like their live matters more than
- 22:42Speaker 5: the well, so you can get friends, So you can certainly.
- 22:48Speaker 5: So there's there's the difference, and this is important there's
- 22:51Speaker 5: the difference between the save action, which is just kind
- 22:54Speaker 5: of for free for one person, but there's also like
- 22:57Speaker 5: you can use a utility action to make a paper
- 23:00Speaker 5: slide that they slide down, sure, and then that would
- 23:03Speaker 5: just be a utility check that but that would cause
- 23:06Speaker 5: a check, whereas just the save action is only one
- 23:09Speaker 5: person but it doesn't have a check. Whereas you can
- 23:11Speaker 5: always try something else with your other stuff, but you
- 23:14Speaker 5: don't have to.
- 23:15Speaker 2: I'm just saying that's the rules.
- 23:17Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, okay, great. In accordance with the rules, then
- 23:22Speaker 5: I'd like to make two paper parachutes for people.
- 23:28Speaker 3: Awesome, Okay, there's two people then, so this is that
- 23:32Speaker 3: ups the difficulty, so this will be a challenging check.
- 23:36Speaker 3: So I'm rolling a D ten. You roll street Smarts
- 23:38Speaker 3: plus your paper manipulation three three. I rolled a four.
- 23:45Speaker 1: Oh no, you make.
- 23:46Speaker 2: These two parachutes? And why is parachutes? Streets smarts.
- 23:52Speaker 3: They connect to these people for just a second and
- 23:55Speaker 3: then the straps made of your paper break and rip
- 23:59Speaker 3: and they continue to fall.
- 24:01Speaker 2: Jamir, you're up. It's their lives. Didn't look like they
- 24:04Speaker 2: mattered that much. Damn it to be here.
- 24:08Speaker 4: It's still on his flight star through this cup, but
- 24:12Speaker 4: I never dismissed it. I'm gonna try, because I have
- 24:16Speaker 4: two l's of movement on this bad boy. I'm gonna
- 24:20Speaker 4: try to swoop in an arc to try to scoop
- 24:25Speaker 4: both and kind of uh scoop them as I'm descending,
- 24:30Speaker 4: so I can kind of usher them to the ground,
- 24:34Speaker 4: not in a painful smashy way.
- 24:37Speaker 3: Yes, so this will be a swift check plus your strength, Jmir.
- 24:41Speaker 4: Okay, swift for me, he's a deep eight, and then
- 24:46Speaker 4: just plus my strength.
- 24:47Speaker 2: Die.
- 24:48Speaker 3: Yes, I'm rolling a challenging check, just like I did
- 24:53Speaker 3: for Jason. Okay, that's a nun. I rolled a ten.
- 25:00Speaker 3: Oh god, on such a close failure, you do, grab
- 25:05Speaker 3: one of these people and get them safely to the ground.
- 25:08Speaker 3: The other person slips through your fingertips, no quanta, your.
- 25:12Speaker 1: Turn, all right. As I see the other person slip
- 25:15Speaker 1: through Jimir's fingers, I will use my save action and
- 25:22Speaker 1: lightning whip just like a rope up to the ceiling
- 25:26Speaker 1: swing and catch them mid fall and try to land sameely,
- 25:31Speaker 1: even though I'm not very strong.
- 25:33Speaker 2: Yeah, that's great.
- 25:34Speaker 3: You catch this person midfall, you lay them down and
- 25:39Speaker 3: they both run off the man who is standing here,
- 25:45Speaker 3: whose legs now become long elephant legs, and he grows
- 25:51Speaker 3: tall and starts to take huge enormous steps over you
- 25:56Speaker 3: and past you. Starts just chuckling to himself.
- 26:03Speaker 9: They're all dead anyway. He killed my wife and might
- 26:08Speaker 9: as well be dead.
- 26:10Speaker 7: SHO.
- 26:12Speaker 3: He's going to take one of his actions to move.
- 26:15Speaker 3: He just walks two l's, and he's going towards the
- 26:20Speaker 3: office area of this building, which is kind of in
- 26:23Speaker 3: a different area. There are some glass windows that separate
- 26:28Speaker 3: this showroom floor and the more.
- 26:32Speaker 2: Office like spot.
- 26:34Speaker 3: While he walks, He's going to take his other action,
- 26:37Speaker 3: use a utility action, and one of his arms becomes
- 26:42Speaker 3: hairy and enormous, huge shoulder becomes the arm of a
- 26:48Speaker 3: mighty ape, and he grabs underneath like one of the
- 26:53Speaker 3: show cars, and he flings it over towards some people that.
- 26:57Speaker 2: Are scared on the wall.
- 27:02Speaker 3: As a car is hurtling towards them. That's his utility action.
- 27:06Speaker 9: Damn.
- 27:08Speaker 1: Can I react? Yes, okay, I will react and try
- 27:14Speaker 1: to use control electricity as I've done with appliances, but
- 27:17Speaker 1: with this car to stop it.
- 27:20Speaker 2: Oh that's fucking cool.
- 27:22Speaker 9: Damn.
- 27:23Speaker 1: So just like Quanta, without thinking, just looks over at
- 27:26Speaker 1: the car, reaches her hands out and tries to stop it. Yeah,
- 27:31Speaker 1: mid very fampiral through the air.
- 27:34Speaker 3: Awesome, Okay, roll a, I would take swift or strength here.
- 27:40Speaker 5: I love that the car is spiraling like a football
- 27:43Speaker 5: because it's so curvacious.
- 27:44Speaker 1: It's so curvacous. I just need to stop this hot
- 27:47Speaker 1: dog before it goes anywhere else? Do you Okay?
- 27:52Speaker 3: So my or I think I would also take knowledge
- 27:55Speaker 3: because the inner electricity in the car.
- 27:59Speaker 1: In the car, I'm gonna do swift, swift and control.
- 28:02Speaker 3: Electricity, and I'm rolling his strength plus his might.
- 28:06Speaker 1: Oh boy, I'm gonna have to get lucky. What'd you roll?
- 28:13Speaker 2: I rolled poorly?
- 28:14Speaker 1: Okay? I rolled a five.
- 28:16Speaker 2: I rolled a six.
- 28:17Speaker 1: Oh it hurts.
- 28:22Speaker 2: You reach out. We have till the end of the
- 28:24Speaker 2: phase still okay.
- 28:25Speaker 3: So yes, No, how this works is that anyone can
- 28:28Speaker 3: use their reaction to try to stop this is a
- 28:31Speaker 3: utility action on his part.
- 28:33Speaker 2: Okay.
- 28:34Speaker 3: So you can use a reaction here to try to
- 28:36Speaker 3: stop these people from getting smashed by this car. I'll
- 28:40Speaker 3: use I'll burn my reaction as well.
- 28:42Speaker 2: What are you doing, Jamir?
- 28:43Speaker 9: Jamir?
- 28:44Speaker 2: Who's the person that I saved.
- 28:46Speaker 3: The person that you saved has a sort of like
- 28:50Speaker 3: mechanic clothes on, but very crisp, like nice mechanic clothes.
- 28:56Speaker 3: They're part of this kind of show room of fancy cars,
- 29:00Speaker 3: big old glasses on. He's got like a balding pate
- 29:05Speaker 3: and a sharp looking comb over. He's panicking you as
- 29:08Speaker 3: you set him down. The other thing you can do,
- 29:11Speaker 3: Jamir is you can use a reaction help action to
- 29:16Speaker 3: help Quanta with her check because she rolled pretty well
- 29:20Speaker 3: and I rolled poorly. So if you want to like
- 29:22Speaker 3: just aid with that somehow, you can tell me how
- 29:24Speaker 3: you want to do that.
- 29:25Speaker 4: I will, I'll help Quanta. I'll I'll look at him
- 29:30Speaker 4: quickly and say it's gonna be all right, and then
- 29:33Speaker 4: turn extend one arm in a fist and just kind
- 29:37Speaker 4: of punch the air with a magic blast to try
- 29:41Speaker 4: to help steer this car off course from the innocent
- 29:46Speaker 4: souls it's careening toward.
- 29:47Speaker 3: Yeah, awesome, So all you roll for this is so
- 29:51Speaker 3: The other thing about a help action is that you
- 29:53Speaker 3: just add a power die. You don't add a skill die.
- 29:56Speaker 3: So you'll just add your magic blast.
- 29:59Speaker 2: Great, got a five on the magic blast.
- 30:03Speaker 3: Oh yeah, Quanta reaches out and tries to stop this car,
- 30:08Speaker 3: and you do. It slows to just like, but it's
- 30:11Speaker 3: still a one two ton piece of metal gonna crush
- 30:15Speaker 3: these people. And all of a sudden, Jamir's magic blast
- 30:19Speaker 3: comes from behind us smashes it out of the way.
- 30:30Speaker 2: Hell yeah, and we're back up at the top. Jason's turn.
- 30:41Speaker 5: I look at you guys, thumbs up, and I'm just
- 30:43Speaker 5: gonna follow. I'm gonna skulk after this, this hulking creature
- 30:49Speaker 5: still in the ceiling. I'll move into his l Actually,
- 30:52Speaker 5: I'll just kind of try and drop down. He's he
- 30:54Speaker 5: knows I'm there. I'm just gonna get up behind him.
- 30:57Speaker 5: What's your movement with my cloak? I've got five ill
- 31:01Speaker 5: Oh damn, yeah you live.
- 31:03Speaker 3: You are fast from your little perch in the industrial
- 31:09Speaker 3: industrial rafters. You fly down and arrive in his l
- 31:16Speaker 3: right behind him.
- 31:17Speaker 2: Nice where you go? And what's going on? You said?
- 31:20Speaker 2: Everyone's dead? What has are you?
- 31:22Speaker 9: Okay?
- 31:22Speaker 2: What's up?
- 31:23Speaker 9: Get out of my way? He has to be stopped.
- 31:28Speaker 9: Do you want to.
- 31:28Speaker 2: Stand walk me through it?
- 31:30Speaker 5: I mean, maybe it's not too late for you to
- 31:33Speaker 5: still be the good guy, even though you juggle those
- 31:35Speaker 5: people with your tentacle arms.
- 31:37Speaker 9: I'm putting them out of their misery in this place
- 31:40Speaker 9: is misery, all right?
- 31:42Speaker 5: I mean, look that one guy maybe, but come on,
- 31:45Speaker 5: you don't indiscriminately kill people.
- 31:47Speaker 9: That's what he does. We have to answer in kind.
- 31:53Speaker 9: I'm coming for you alone.
- 31:56Speaker 2: Jamiir, your turn. Okay, how many l's over? Two?
- 32:01Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 32:01Speaker 3: Phase two? I burn my reaction. How many l's is
- 32:04Speaker 3: he away from me?
- 32:05Speaker 2: Two l's from great?
- 32:08Speaker 4: Jamiir is going to just slightly rise up on my
- 32:13Speaker 4: flight star and just say, buddy, you're going about this
- 32:18Speaker 4: the wrong way, and I'm gonna shoot some magic blasts
- 32:23Speaker 4: at him. I will use an energy point, yes, to
- 32:29Speaker 4: try to get my goodies. But those only happen if I.
- 32:34Speaker 2: Do a certain amount of damage.
- 32:35Speaker 9: Yep.
- 32:36Speaker 4: So I am two l's away. So I am rolling
- 32:41Speaker 4: with precision, and I quit. Damn, I'm not close enough
- 32:48Speaker 4: to the button. Quough.
- 32:51Speaker 3: So I got I? Yes, I got a four. That's
- 32:54Speaker 3: still fun, juicy four. Do you have a perm bonus
- 32:58Speaker 3: on that I do not? That's fine, I wish I did.
- 33:01Speaker 2: You want to roll? For what kind of damage you're doing?
- 33:03Speaker 9: Jamier?
- 33:04Speaker 2: Sure? I roll my D six ooh I got a six,
- 33:08Speaker 2: so that is magic, so it'll be magical damage. And
- 33:13Speaker 2: for Jamir that.
- 33:14Speaker 4: Is lulling, so it'll be a lulling attack if he
- 33:18Speaker 4: doesn't reseal good enough.
- 33:20Speaker 3: Okay, sounds good. Here comes his resilience. He is focused,
- 33:25Speaker 3: he's looking ahead and talking in a deep conversation with Jason,
- 33:31Speaker 3: and so he's not going to react to you this
- 33:35Speaker 3: go round. He's just rolling his resilience. Oh my god,
- 33:39Speaker 3: he rolled a two, so that turns into one, which
- 33:43Speaker 3: means you do three damage.
- 33:44Speaker 2: But for lulling, I need at least four. Oh close.
- 33:49Speaker 2: Lulling's good.
- 33:50Speaker 4: Lulling, yeah, it's but I do hit him with a
- 33:53Speaker 4: magic blast and hopefully.
- 33:55Speaker 2: Get his intermension.
- 33:56Speaker 3: Jamiir, I want to kind of take a minute with
- 33:58Speaker 3: this moment here, because this is powerful magic, and most
- 34:02Speaker 3: of your magic just kind of looks like energy blasts, right, yeah,
- 34:06Speaker 3: but this is different. This this you start to feel
- 34:09Speaker 3: like you could have the power to change this person,
- 34:13Speaker 3: like he is transforming in front of your eyes.
- 34:15Speaker 2: You might have the.
- 34:16Speaker 3: Ability to magically shift his mind. Is this what is
- 34:21Speaker 3: happening in this moment with Jamir and his magic?
- 34:23Speaker 4: Yeah, Jamir's Jamir is used to just kind of shooting
- 34:27Speaker 4: out some kind of elemental force. But this is the
- 34:31Speaker 4: first time that, like Jamir sees some sort of control.
- 34:38Speaker 4: When he shoots out this blast, he recognizes in the
- 34:42Speaker 4: beam shooting on from him, maybe a familiar feeling within
- 34:48Speaker 4: his gut that he almost can connect with it. But
- 34:52Speaker 4: it flies away from him.
- 34:56Speaker 2: Beyond his reach.
- 35:00Speaker 3: It still strikes this beast in the back who's back
- 35:04Speaker 3: because he's walking away from you, guys has scaled over
- 35:07Speaker 3: with hard animal scales of some kind, snake scales, and
- 35:12Speaker 3: you still do three damage to him, but he does
- 35:15Speaker 3: reseal against some of it.
- 35:20Speaker 2: Quanta, your turn.
- 35:21Speaker 1: First, I want to try, if you'll let me use
- 35:23Speaker 1: free action to coax him to stand up behind him
- 35:27Speaker 1: and say, like, hey, try to get him to turn around. Yeah,
- 35:30Speaker 1: just by yelling.
- 35:31Speaker 3: Hey, absolutely, you don't want to add any power to
- 35:34Speaker 3: it or anything, or just regular cokes, I mean regular cokes.
- 35:39Speaker 2: Alrighty, he's going to roll guts against you.
- 35:41Speaker 1: I guess I could try to make his brain a
- 35:43Speaker 1: little bit more pliable to suggestion with some controller.
- 35:46Speaker 2: Yeah, I think you certainly could.
- 35:48Speaker 11: All right, Oh, I rolled a one on twenty, so
- 35:54Speaker 11: I got a three three he rolled a seventeen on
- 35:58Speaker 11: his so close his intention to move forward.
- 36:05Speaker 3: You stand up and say hey, and all of the
- 36:08Speaker 3: reporters look at you as this burly crocodile ape man continues.
- 36:15Speaker 2: To roll forward.
- 36:16Speaker 1: Right then, I will just keep yelling at him it
- 36:18Speaker 1: must be your lucky day, and lightning whip him and say, because.
- 36:23Speaker 11: Lightning rarely strikes the same place twice, well that's pretty good.
- 36:30Speaker 1: And attack him and I am going to try to
- 36:31Speaker 1: pull him to a PA. So I wanted to wrap around, yes,
- 36:36Speaker 1: and by using like electricity of coursing through his body,
- 36:40Speaker 1: but then also just strength turn around with the whip
- 36:43Speaker 1: over my shoulder and just start leaning trying to pull him.
- 36:46Speaker 3: Awesome, great roll that damage seven ooh seven. Having both
- 36:51Speaker 3: Jamir and you attack at him, well no, I just
- 36:55Speaker 3: he just rolled a seventeen on moving forward. So maybe
- 36:57Speaker 3: he won't I think because of what I just said
- 37:01Speaker 3: for flavor, I don't think he is going to that
- 37:04Speaker 3: one paid off. I don't think he is going to defend.
- 37:07Speaker 3: But he still reseals okay, seven, that's big. He gets
- 37:11Speaker 3: three on his resilience, no, sorry, four on his.
- 37:15Speaker 1: Okay, but I still do three damage. So I pull
- 37:18Speaker 1: him one l back towards me. Nice.
- 37:21Speaker 2: That's awesome.
- 37:23Speaker 3: The lightning whip around his waist yanks him back a step.
- 37:29Speaker 3: He kind of is pulled right past you, Jason Bye.
- 37:34Speaker 2: He looks at you. It's his two turns. He just says,
- 37:39Speaker 2: who are you?
- 37:42Speaker 9: Who are you? Three?
- 37:45Speaker 1: Where are the good guys?
- 37:47Speaker 5: No?
- 37:48Speaker 9: No, no, he said I was, He said I was
- 37:52Speaker 9: masterpiece was only.
- 37:54Speaker 1: One who said that the more.
- 37:58Speaker 9: Are you hinder me, the more these people are in danger.
- 38:02Speaker 3: He goes over to a small portion of the conveyor
- 38:06Speaker 3: belt system in here. He rips a chunk of the
- 38:09Speaker 3: conveyor belt off and he flings it across the room
- 38:13Speaker 3: at a group of these people that are still over here.
- 38:19Speaker 5: I'll use my reaction. I'm gonna try and try and
- 38:23Speaker 5: cut this thing out of the air.
- 38:25Speaker 2: Got it nice?
- 38:27Speaker 3: So roll swift plus your papermancy Yeah mm hmm, come on.
- 38:36Speaker 2: Five? Five?
- 38:38Speaker 3: He rolled ten. Two of these people are struck with
- 38:44Speaker 3: this big thing and it seems like kind of smashed
- 38:48Speaker 3: into the wall.
- 38:49Speaker 2: He looks at you all, so.
- 38:53Speaker 3: Growing out of his back are two leathery bat wings enormous.
- 38:58Speaker 2: He supposed to flap and he starts flying.
- 39:03Speaker 3: He's gonna use his second action to move okay, because
- 39:07Speaker 3: he's flying. He gets he's a flying man with really
- 39:10Speaker 3: long elephant legs. He gets four l's, and so he
- 39:15Speaker 3: smashes through the glass window into the like office build
- 39:21Speaker 3: Like there's just like an entryway, like imagine you're going
- 39:24Speaker 3: to like a car blaze. There's like an entryway where
- 39:27Speaker 3: there's a booth and people would greet you there. He
- 39:30Speaker 3: gets into that space. In this space, there's also a
- 39:32Speaker 3: stairwell to the right and elevators to the left. He
- 39:35Speaker 3: smashes through the glass windows to get into this entryway,
- 39:39Speaker 3: and it looks like he's gonna.
- 39:40Speaker 5: Try to take the stairs up, not the crappy coffee machine.
- 39:46Speaker 3: Jason, your turn, I've I've reacted?
- 39:49Speaker 2: Is phase three? Right, Yes, I've reacted.
- 39:51Speaker 1: I've reacted, Jimmy, or I've reacted.
- 39:54Speaker 2: All right, you've all reacted.
- 39:56Speaker 1: That was two rounds.
- 39:57Speaker 3: That Well, it's his turn. Oh I'm sorry. So he,
- 40:01Speaker 3: having left you guys in the dust a little bit,
- 40:03Speaker 3: is going to take two full movement actions and get
- 40:08Speaker 3: all the way up to his goal, which is the
- 40:10Speaker 3: fourth floor.
- 40:12Speaker 1: Okay, how many l's is that?
- 40:16Speaker 3: It is only two l's up okay, okay, but you
- 40:20Speaker 3: guys are south of it, if that makes sense, So
- 40:23Speaker 3: you're at an angle like you.
- 40:24Speaker 1: Yeah, So how many l's is it from us if
- 40:26Speaker 1: we're going to follow his path?
- 40:28Speaker 3: Five for the Phantom, seven for Jamier and Quanta. Okay, okay,
- 40:33Speaker 3: hold on, let me make sure I'm taking off all
- 40:35Speaker 3: the energy for him because he's moving a lot energy.
- 40:40Speaker 2: G G g E. Oh yeah, he's running out of
- 40:46Speaker 2: movement energy, which is good for y'all.
- 40:48Speaker 5: Is his skin he's still like it's like the texture
- 40:53Speaker 5: is changing, but it's still just like flesh colored like
- 40:57Speaker 5: the hole tiaac Grosse. Good question.
- 40:58Speaker 2: When it change is there is a level of how
- 41:01Speaker 2: squishy is it? If I wanted to touch like his butt?
- 41:04Speaker 12: Yeah?
- 41:04Speaker 1: How does it feel like I wanted to eat a sandwich?
- 41:09Speaker 3: Is you could definitely eat off his butt?
- 41:13Speaker 2: His skin.
- 41:14Speaker 3: There is a little bit of body horror with him, certainly,
- 41:17Speaker 3: But but uh, when but the color shifts, it's fully animals,
- 41:23Speaker 3: but it's just parts of him and his whole body
- 41:25Speaker 3: never turns into animals.
- 41:27Speaker 5: Okay, that makes me feel better than like them being
- 41:30Speaker 5: flesh colored elephant legs.
- 41:32Speaker 3: That's upsetting, upsetting. Yeah, but i'd still touch it. Okay,
- 41:37Speaker 3: all right, so we're round three. Yeah, yeah, Jason, you're.
- 41:42Speaker 5: I'll look over. Are those people just fucking dead that
- 41:46Speaker 5: that got some by a conveyor belt? Are dead?
- 41:50Speaker 1: Is always fantom?
- 41:53Speaker 7: Hey?
- 41:53Speaker 2: Are you guys dead? All dead?
- 41:55Speaker 9: Over there?
- 41:56Speaker 3: I'll just say you do see like movement under the Okay,
- 42:01Speaker 3: they don't seem to be folded.
- 42:02Speaker 5: All right, I'll be responsible and like schluff some paper
- 42:07Speaker 5: their way to fucking stabilize them. Yeah, I've got how
- 42:11Speaker 5: many how many people are over are crush under this thing?
- 42:14Speaker 2: Two? All right, I'll give each of them one HP
- 42:18Speaker 2: of healing paper. Goodness, got it? Begrudgingly they stabilize. You're
- 42:24Speaker 2: good now.
- 42:28Speaker 3: The phantom, in a moment of selflessness, heals with some paper.
- 42:34Speaker 3: Reluctant selflessness, Jim, your turn to be able to reach
- 42:41Speaker 3: out a hand toward Quanta.
- 42:44Speaker 1: Dorothy, reach my handback.
- 42:47Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm hoping with my free Actually, the scoop Quanta
- 42:50Speaker 4: and then do three l's of flight star to try
- 42:54Speaker 4: to catch both of us up to this guy.
- 42:56Speaker 1: I do. I twirl into into Rigel's arms. Would you
- 43:01Speaker 1: like the ooh step out and twirl in like a
- 43:06Speaker 1: dance move.
- 43:06Speaker 3: If you want to use your powers in a way
- 43:09Speaker 3: to like combine your movements, you can so you both
- 43:13Speaker 3: could go whatever, like the the maximum of your movement
- 43:18Speaker 3: is here.
- 43:19Speaker 1: I will to help us move further. I will can
- 43:23Speaker 1: I Like last time we were in combat, I used
- 43:27Speaker 1: my lightning went like a little shield. But now I
- 43:29Speaker 1: want to use it like a propeller on the back
- 43:31Speaker 1: of the floor.
- 43:31Speaker 2: Yes, it's awesome.
- 43:35Speaker 3: Awesome, you've been into Jamiir's flight stars. The two of
- 43:40Speaker 3: you ride it and then you turn around and like
- 43:43Speaker 3: a little propeller propel the flight star onwards.
- 43:46Speaker 2: So how much do you add to Jamir's movement?
- 43:48Speaker 1: Fine?
- 43:48Speaker 3: Whoa, yeah, shit, are you going up the stairs?
- 44:00Speaker 1: Might as well.
- 44:00Speaker 2: Yeah, let's not smash too much. Let's just try to
- 44:04Speaker 2: keep up with them.
- 44:05Speaker 1: As we pass by the phantom, I say.
- 44:09Speaker 2: Come on, keep up, I twirl, but like a minute
- 44:12Speaker 2: too late.
- 44:14Speaker 1: Oh scarecrow.
- 44:15Speaker 3: You guys zip up the stairwell and bash into the
- 44:21Speaker 3: fourth floor, where you do go fast enough to see
- 44:25Speaker 3: the fourth floor door kind of shutting close. Here's what
- 44:29Speaker 3: you find on the fourth floor. You actually don't find
- 44:33Speaker 3: an office building at all. Instead, it is a gaudy
- 44:39Speaker 3: den of Pleasures. Oh, as you were entering this floor,
- 44:46Speaker 3: you saw a placard that said the board and the
- 44:50Speaker 3: board of Olsen Industries is here. Loud music. They are
- 44:56Speaker 3: getting drunk, They are getting high while are enjoying watching
- 45:01Speaker 3: nude dancers up on the bars and the tables. It
- 45:05Speaker 3: is dark and stuffy, it's moist and smells of sweat.
- 45:11Speaker 1: At least it's before the alcohol cut off. It's like
- 45:14Speaker 1: five pm.
- 45:15Speaker 3: The man you've been following shouts here you sit.
- 45:20Speaker 9: As wallowing in your filth and aware of the horrors
- 45:27Speaker 9: that go out in your own house, not thirty feet
- 45:30Speaker 9: below you, sick of it.
- 45:33Speaker 3: Cord and he raises his wings to fly right at
- 45:38Speaker 3: a specific man in a dark black suit watching two
- 45:43Speaker 3: dancers at his own table.
- 45:45Speaker 2: You guys both used a movement with eight.
- 45:49Speaker 3: You could get one l like in between this guy
- 45:53Speaker 3: and the people in this room, or you could get
- 45:55Speaker 3: in his.
- 45:55Speaker 1: L you're the pilot.
- 45:57Speaker 4: Yeah, let's kind of zoom past him and kind of
- 45:59Speaker 4: get in between him and them.
- 46:02Speaker 3: Great sounds good. This fourth floor floor is certainly not
- 46:06Speaker 3: as big as the lower factory space below. It's it's
- 46:12Speaker 3: much smaller, and it is dark and crowded up here,
- 46:17Speaker 3: and these people listening to their music seem to have
- 46:20Speaker 3: no idea what was happening below, so they are shocked
- 46:24Speaker 3: to see three superpowered beings bust in here.
- 46:36Speaker 2: Clear out everybody, clear out, shows over.
- 46:39Speaker 3: It is this man's turn. He looks at the two
- 46:43Speaker 3: of you. He's going to, in anger, just attack at
- 46:49Speaker 3: both of you with his two actions. So two attacks.
- 46:54Speaker 3: He's going to use two energy points to make them
- 46:58Speaker 3: both slowing. Tax interesting Jamiir. Five damage to you, okay, Quanta?
- 47:07Speaker 3: Three damage to you?
- 47:08Speaker 4: All right, Zial I rolled my resilience. I got a four,
- 47:14Speaker 4: so I have that, so I take three.
- 47:17Speaker 3: Damage, yes, and thus you are slowed Jamir. Okay, your
- 47:22Speaker 3: movement is halved and you are limited to two actions
- 47:25Speaker 3: per round. As his strike comes out to you, Jamir,
- 47:30Speaker 3: it becomes the sticky and strong tentacles of some beast
- 47:36Speaker 3: of the deep waters, and it wraps around you and
- 47:40Speaker 3: tightens around you, hindering your movement.
- 47:43Speaker 1: Quanta, I rolled a six on my resilience, so I
- 47:46Speaker 1: rezal for three.
- 47:48Speaker 3: Damn yeah, these same tentacles try to wrap around you
- 47:51Speaker 3: and they just shock off.
- 47:53Speaker 2: Rchel Jason, your turn. How much wallpapers in this building. Uh,
- 47:59Speaker 2: so much wallpaper? Oh in this building? Yeah?
- 48:02Speaker 3: You said it's kind of ornate, right, decorated building certainly.
- 48:05Speaker 2: Yeah. I guess what I'd like to do this is
- 48:07Speaker 2: just would definitely be a branch. Okay, great branch, britch branch.
- 48:12Speaker 5: I want to I know that there's action. I can
- 48:15Speaker 5: hear it coming from upstairs.
- 48:17Speaker 2: Yes. I put my hand on the paper walled wallpaper,
- 48:21Speaker 2: and I want to travel via the paper. Whoa, I
- 48:26Speaker 2: want to go into the paper and come out another
- 48:28Speaker 2: piece of paper.
- 48:29Speaker 3: Wow, very fucking cool if it works. So a branching
- 48:36Speaker 3: power for sure. So you have to succeed on this
- 48:39Speaker 3: first one is a Titanic Checkah. So I'm rolling a
- 48:43Speaker 3: D twenty in a D eight and it costs two energy.
- 48:46Speaker 1: Okay, I want this to work so bad.
- 48:52Speaker 2: I know me too. What skill do I need here?
- 48:55Speaker 2: What do you think?
- 48:57Speaker 9: Like?
- 48:57Speaker 3: How is Jason going about this? This is the interesting question,
- 49:01Speaker 3: like your connection to paper and like I think this
- 49:04Speaker 3: could be a spirit check.
- 49:05Speaker 2: Weirdly, I think it could be knowledge.
- 49:08Speaker 5: What do you think I'm I'm sort of envisioning this
- 49:11Speaker 5: as like I want to disappear into the paper. So
- 49:15Speaker 5: I was thinking of it as like a sneak check,
- 49:17Speaker 5: but I would I think knowledge or spirit also makes
- 49:20Speaker 5: sense to me.
- 49:20Speaker 3: Mmm, giving you sneak is because that's your D twenty,
- 49:26Speaker 3: you fucko?
- 49:28Speaker 2: Is it? Is it sneaky?
- 49:33Speaker 1: It is sneaky, It's so sneak.
- 49:36Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm thinking like because I'm I'm imagining this is
- 49:38Speaker 5: like I can go if I can get into paper,
- 49:42Speaker 5: like that opens up a lot of but like it's
- 49:45Speaker 5: it is in my mind, like disappearing.
- 49:47Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm gonna give you sneak, you fuck yeah, dirty
- 49:52Speaker 3: little very fuck. I rolled poorly, Okay. I rolled a
- 49:56Speaker 3: two on my D twenty and I rolled a six
- 49:59Speaker 3: on my D eight, so I rolled eight.
- 50:02Speaker 2: All right, you rolling.
- 50:03Speaker 5: I'm rolling a D twenty for sneak and a D
- 50:06Speaker 5: eight for paper manipulation.
- 50:08Speaker 2: Let's go, let's go, let's go, let's go. I shouldn't
- 50:10Speaker 2: have given you sneak.
- 50:11Speaker 3: You you guy, Well, good news for you.
- 50:15Speaker 5: I rolled a four on my D twenty, okay, but
- 50:19Speaker 5: I also got a seven on the D eight for
- 50:23Speaker 5: thirteen or no, not thirteen.
- 50:25Speaker 2: I'm sorry, my math is wrong. Eleven eleven does it?
- 50:28Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 50:30Speaker 2: Ill an eight?
- 50:32Speaker 5: Like I said, sweet, Yeah, I touched the wallpaper. Close
- 50:36Speaker 5: my eyes, I hear the rich history, the story of
- 50:39Speaker 5: people smoking in here, and it staining the walls, and
- 50:43Speaker 5: the paper, the glue binding it to the walls, and
- 50:47Speaker 5: my hand touches it. I fold flat, and I just
- 50:52Speaker 5: as a design on the intricate floral wallpaper.
- 50:56Speaker 2: Just walk my.
- 50:57Speaker 5: Ass upstairs in the two dimensions.
- 51:00Speaker 1: Amazing.
- 51:01Speaker 2: You walk up the wallpaper.
- 51:03Speaker 3: As you get to the ceiling, you sense like, is
- 51:06Speaker 3: there anything I could make the jump? And there's insulation
- 51:10Speaker 3: and things, paper covering the pipes, and you you skip
- 51:14Speaker 3: from paper surface to paper surface until you get to
- 51:17Speaker 3: the walls, this gilded, gaudy gold, golden black wallpaper in
- 51:24Speaker 3: this in this weird moist pleasure room, and you you
- 51:32Speaker 3: emerge out of the paper, part of the crew, part
- 51:37Speaker 3: of the ship.
- 51:39Speaker 2: Yes, that's awesome.
- 51:42Speaker 5: If possible, I'd like to not get Can I not
- 51:44Speaker 5: emerge just yet? Can I just be in the room
- 51:46Speaker 5: two dimensionally watching for right now?
- 51:49Speaker 2: Yes?
- 51:49Speaker 3: Because of your success on a Titanic check here, I'll
- 51:52Speaker 3: let you go where you want in this room. You
- 51:55Speaker 3: could get in the same l as.
- 51:58Speaker 2: Yeah, I'd love to. Okay, sounds good.
- 52:00Speaker 3: Then you are on the wall watching him. A literal
- 52:05Speaker 3: fly on the wall. Very fucking cool.
- 52:08Speaker 1: It's awesome.
- 52:09Speaker 2: One down, Jamir and Quanta, the two of you face
- 52:12Speaker 2: this monster. It's your turns. What are you doing?
- 52:15Speaker 9: All right?
- 52:16Speaker 4: I'm one l away from him now, Yes, we're in
- 52:19Speaker 4: between cool. I'm just gonna punch this guy. Jamiir is
- 52:23Speaker 4: just gonna rare back. I'm still slowed, but I'm still
- 52:26Speaker 4: able to get over to him and just slug him
- 52:28Speaker 4: as hard as I can, trying to stop this rampage.
- 52:34Speaker 3: Ben, I can definitely take this out because you can
- 52:37Speaker 3: totally do that. You can always as a utility action,
- 52:40Speaker 3: try to break your condition if you feel like you can.
- 52:43Speaker 2: Based on how it Ben, my.
- 52:45Speaker 10: Plan was to try to break it, since you're stronger
- 52:47Speaker 10: than me and at ducks.
- 52:49Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm just gonna punch him, So I think Jamiir
- 52:53Speaker 4: would just try to punch him. I spent last year
- 52:56Speaker 4: in flying. I'm ready to hurt this guy.
- 52:58Speaker 5: Oh it looks probably looks awesome and slow motion to
- 53:00Speaker 5: your explosion kill.
- 53:03Speaker 3: You kind of wade through the tentacles and get your
- 53:07Speaker 3: get your shoulder.
- 53:07Speaker 2: Out, get your arm out, and just sock this guy.
- 53:12Speaker 5: Just like Donkey Kong, a big donkey Kong punch for
- 53:15Speaker 5: King k Rule attacking with precision.
- 53:17Speaker 2: I got a six, nice, very good.
- 53:22Speaker 3: He is starting to feel stressed that you guys are
- 53:26Speaker 3: on his ass, so he is going to defend. He
- 53:31Speaker 3: holds up an arm on his forearm in an enormous
- 53:34Speaker 3: turtle shield.
- 53:36Speaker 2: Turtle shell shield.
- 53:38Speaker 3: Creates on his arm and you smash into that. Okay,
- 53:43Speaker 3: he rolled four, and his resilience he rolled resilience. He
- 53:48Speaker 3: rolled three, So he takes seven of.
- 53:51Speaker 2: This no damage because I rolled six to dimag but.
- 53:54Speaker 3: You used up one of his reactions. The shield comes
- 53:57Speaker 3: up and you smash into its mere brick.
- 54:01Speaker 2: Quanta Europe.
- 54:02Speaker 1: All right, I'll say, let my friend go and put
- 54:05Speaker 1: my hands on the tentacles and zap them and try
- 54:08Speaker 1: to use the utility action to stop the slow on Rachel.
- 54:15Speaker 3: So control electricity to get these off of him.
- 54:18Speaker 1: Yes, very cool as utility. So I don't know if
- 54:22Speaker 1: that would be cokes. I don't know if it would
- 54:24Speaker 1: be cokes. I don't know.
- 54:26Speaker 3: I'd give you cokes. All right, he's rolling mite and
- 54:30Speaker 3: strength to just hold.
- 54:31Speaker 1: On twenty three.
- 54:33Speaker 3: Oh gee, whoa he rolled at fifteen, which is huge.
- 54:38Speaker 2: That's huge. Uh, these tentacles just gripping around you.
- 54:43Speaker 1: Yeah, I put my hands on the tentacles. Let my
- 54:45Speaker 1: friend go and zack.
- 54:47Speaker 3: Them away, fall around your feet like a dress demer
- 54:52Speaker 3: and you're free.
- 54:55Speaker 1: What a fairy tale?
- 54:57Speaker 2: Whoa? There's no place like home. It is the monster's turn.
- 55:03Speaker 9: It must be stopped.
- 55:06Speaker 3: He with one last action with his tentacles. He is
- 55:10Speaker 3: going to try to grab Quanta and throw her across
- 55:14Speaker 3: the room. So Quanta, you can make might or swift
- 55:20Speaker 3: check here to dodge this situation.
- 55:23Speaker 1: All right. He also use lightning reflexes.
- 55:27Speaker 3: Yes, absolutely, to empower that he's rolling might and strength.
- 55:32Speaker 1: I'm going to do swift and lightning reflexes nine.
- 55:37Speaker 3: He rolled a twenty one. So he grabs you with
- 55:41Speaker 3: these tentacles, hurls you across the room. You smash into
- 55:45Speaker 3: the wall. Not the wall, Jason's on the far wall.
- 55:49Speaker 3: If you're on you're only three l's away though. Still,
- 55:53Speaker 3: but he does throw you across to get out of
- 55:56Speaker 3: his way. As he does that, the tentacles come into
- 56:00Speaker 3: his hand. He turns into a his legs turn into
- 56:05Speaker 3: like goat legs, and he just starts jumping around the room,
- 56:10Speaker 3: jumping over you, past you, and gets is going to
- 56:14Speaker 3: move for his second action into the same l as
- 56:18Speaker 3: George Olsen.
- 56:19Speaker 2: Am I able to use a reaction to halt that
- 56:22Speaker 2: or no?
- 56:23Speaker 3: Absolutely, you can try to do a trap, so just
- 56:26Speaker 3: keep him here.
- 56:27Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm gonna try to keep him here.
- 56:30Speaker 3: Great, he's gonna roll swift plus his speed, which is
- 56:35Speaker 3: not great to get.
- 56:36Speaker 4: I'm just gonna try to because I'm I was not
- 56:38Speaker 4: punching him, so I'm just gonna try to grab him
- 56:42Speaker 4: by the thigh, by the goat thigh and just be
- 56:46Speaker 4: just do a stay here buddy.
- 56:48Speaker 2: Yeah, awesome, you're the real goat. I understand that reference.
- 56:57Speaker 2: So what do I roll? What do I roll?
- 56:59Speaker 3: You'll roll strength plus might or might plus strength man
- 57:02Speaker 3: plus D and he's rolling swift plus speed to try
- 57:05Speaker 3: to jump over you. So that's only two D fours
- 57:07Speaker 3: for him. Oh I rolled good seven.
- 57:11Speaker 2: Nineteen.
- 57:13Speaker 1: Nice.
- 57:14Speaker 3: He turns into this half goat man, jumps like off
- 57:17Speaker 3: the wall right next to Jason's face and then tries
- 57:20Speaker 3: to go over your head, Jimir and.
- 57:22Speaker 4: You Yeah, I PIDs her around one of his thighs
- 57:28Speaker 4: and I just hold him aloft.
- 57:30Speaker 1: Nice.
- 57:31Speaker 2: Awesome, So good.
- 57:34Speaker 3: Jason, your turn. You're in the wall.
- 57:36Speaker 1: Were you at the top of phase three.
- 57:38Speaker 2: No, there's sorry, Yes phase three.
- 57:40Speaker 5: Yes, I'm going to form a paper sword and try
- 57:45Speaker 5: and stab him from the like the one that sword
- 57:47Speaker 5: to like like slide out from the wall into the
- 57:51Speaker 5: third dimension, just trying to catch him unawares. Awesome, that's
- 57:56Speaker 5: gonna be a seven damage. He's going to use his
- 58:02Speaker 5: having just been grabbed by Jamir getting a little panicky,
- 58:06Speaker 5: He's going to use his second reaction.
- 58:11Speaker 3: To defend against this. Jamir has his leg, but then
- 58:15Speaker 3: as the sword comes out and starts to stab at him,
- 58:19Speaker 3: he curls up into a little armadillo ball and as
- 58:22Speaker 3: the rest of him and the shield covers over him,
- 58:26Speaker 3: he defends for four and resals for Wait, hold on,
- 58:31Speaker 3: Hirl the wrong guy. He defends for four still and
- 58:36Speaker 3: he reseals for three.
- 58:39Speaker 2: So that's that seven that he does not take from
- 58:44Speaker 2: Hell's wallpaper. I don't stab at the Jamir. It's your turn.
- 58:51Speaker 3: You just used your reaction to Quanta three l's away
- 58:58Speaker 3: from it, amazing.
- 59:00Speaker 1: Up from slamming into the wall. Uh, you're super lucky.
- 59:04Speaker 1: Day lightning thrice. I don't know, And I'm gonna whip
- 59:08Speaker 1: at him with precision guys.
- 59:11Speaker 3: The long whip of Quanta streaks out from being smashed
- 59:16Speaker 3: into the wall.
- 59:18Speaker 1: Seven.
- 59:19Speaker 3: Oh, he's used both his reactions, so he cannot react.
- 59:24Speaker 3: He only can reseal. He reveals for three, so you
- 59:27Speaker 3: do four damage. He breathing heavily, goat legs turned back
- 59:32Speaker 3: into man legs. The armadillo uncurls. He looks at this
- 59:36Speaker 3: three of you. This is not the end, and he
- 59:40Speaker 3: starts to turn and try and looks like he's gonna
- 59:43Speaker 3: try to run.
- 59:44Speaker 1: Oh no, you don't.
- 59:45Speaker 3: But he has used both his reactions, so he's out.
- 59:48Speaker 3: So we are at the end of the round, back
- 59:52Speaker 3: up to the very top. So everything resets here. At
- 59:55Speaker 3: this point, this place is cleared out pretty much. The
- 59:58Speaker 3: people have mostly moved away. George Olsen is standing there,
- 1:00:02Speaker 3: still looking like he's gonna start to take the door,
- 1:00:06Speaker 3: the back door, not the way you guys came in.
- 1:00:08Speaker 3: He looks over, dropping just like a piece of food,
- 1:00:13Speaker 3: a sandwich he was munching on. He says, THEO. THEO
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: is that you. Oh God, I can't believe it. Who
- 1:00:26Speaker 3: the fuck did this to you? The monster looks up
- 1:00:30Speaker 3: this to me. No, no, that can't be right.
- 1:00:34Speaker 9: You did this to me, and you took my wife away.
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: Jason, your turn? Are we pivoting? We're killing this other guy?
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: No, only only one person here has been attacking people.
- 1:00:49Speaker 5: If if, if I can still be in the wallpaper,
- 1:00:53Speaker 5: what you said was like kind of golden ornate in nature.
- 1:00:58Speaker 5: I think I think we gotta knock this guy out.
- 1:01:02Speaker 5: And you see, uh, you see Jason in the wallpaper
- 1:01:04Speaker 5: like pointing, and I'm gonna if you'd like, i'd like
- 1:01:09Speaker 5: to team up. Yeah, I'd like to wrap my whole
- 1:01:12Speaker 5: paper body around Jamir's fist.
- 1:01:16Speaker 8: Whoa yes, and if yep, yeah, I will prepare my
- 1:01:24Speaker 8: whip to charge up the fist with the gold gold
- 1:01:28Speaker 8: leaf in the wallpaper.
- 1:01:30Speaker 3: Oh yeah, the classic charge up the gold leaf situation.
- 1:01:36Speaker 3: The classic all paper has a little bit of goal sometimes. Wow,
- 1:01:42Speaker 3: didn't see that coming, Jimmy, what do you do in
- 1:01:45Speaker 3: this moment here?
- 1:01:46Speaker 4: Yeah, sensing that he's gonna flee, Jamir is just gonna
- 1:01:50Speaker 4: kind of do a bit of a super leap and
- 1:01:54Speaker 4: kind of use gravity to come down and just pound
- 1:01:57Speaker 4: this guy to keep him here. And then I see
- 1:02:00Speaker 4: the paper wrap around my fist as I'm descending.
- 1:02:03Speaker 3: Yes, as you fall, the paper comes out and just
- 1:02:06Speaker 3: before you strike this man, the lightning whip just touches
- 1:02:10Speaker 3: it perfectly from across the room and it ignites with
- 1:02:15Speaker 3: cackling fury and you slam it down. So you all
- 1:02:31Speaker 3: roll damage together. Here this is a plus two team
- 1:02:35Speaker 3: up because that was sweet ship.
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: Tell ya.
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: Since I was just three away? Do I roll with precision? Yes?
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: I get my precision to yes? Same here? Oh so
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: close to critic all right, I got five with my damage.
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: I also got five six Oh jeez.
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: Because they are my bonus to this story.
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: Which bonus bonus? I probably?
- 1:03:00Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: Absolutely so what it was?
- 1:03:02Speaker 3: Sixteen? Yes, plus the two from the cool team up?
- 1:03:06Speaker 3: This man will defend.
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: This man, This man no longer a monster, this monster man.
- 1:03:15Speaker 3: He sees this, this combination of your powers coming together
- 1:03:19Speaker 3: in this beautiful moment, and everything. You kind of see
- 1:03:23Speaker 3: him running through his head like roly poly armadillo turtle
- 1:03:28Speaker 3: like everything.
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: He puts both arms up.
- 1:03:31Speaker 3: One's a roly poly scanned, one's the turtleskin, ones like
- 1:03:34Speaker 3: like freaking snake scales and dinosaur scales. Everything he tries.
- 1:03:40Speaker 3: As this thundering punch comes down, he's rolling defense. He
- 1:03:46Speaker 3: rolled a five on his defense rolling resilience rolled a
- 1:03:49Speaker 3: four which turns into two, so seven. He still takes
- 1:03:52Speaker 3: eleven damage. He had he had five hit points left.
- 1:03:58Speaker 9: Wow.
- 1:03:59Speaker 3: This punch sends him into the ground and we're out
- 1:04:06Speaker 3: of combat.
- 1:04:10Speaker 9: Wow.
- 1:04:11Speaker 5: Strom here unclenches his fist. I just like like get
- 1:04:14Speaker 5: pooped out by the paper.
- 1:04:19Speaker 4: I'm almost kind of like like after you wash your hands,
- 1:04:22Speaker 4: you're just kind of flicking off the left bits of water,
- 1:04:24Speaker 4: just kind of sloth the paper off.
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: Does this guy revert to a normal humid? Does he?
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: What does he do as he's knocked out? He stays.
- 1:04:35Speaker 3: Some of his animal parts stay animal, but his face
- 1:04:40Speaker 3: is human and his body is mostly human, but his
- 1:04:42Speaker 3: arms and kind of the top of his head are
- 1:04:45Speaker 3: different versions of animal shielding.
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: Is there a George here?
- 1:04:51Speaker 3: Guy who was talking to him, walks up. I'm George, Yeah,
- 1:04:55Speaker 3: George Olsen.
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: Good to me.
- 1:04:57Speaker 3: He sticks his hand out to shake your hands. Thank
- 1:04:59Speaker 3: you guys, so much, thank you. I can't believe this.
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I don't think I shake his hand.
- 1:05:05Speaker 4: Rigel will give him maybe a two firm handshake and say.
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: Oh, you're strong, you are you heroes?
- 1:05:15Speaker 4: Yes, this man had some serious problems with you and
- 1:05:22Speaker 4: your business here. Do you have any idea who this
- 1:05:27Speaker 4: person is and why he would want to kill you
- 1:05:31Speaker 4: and your workers?
- 1:05:32Speaker 11: Yeah?
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: Yeah, I knew him before.
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: As this is happening, can I this would be a
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: branch unless it would be the the like appliance. Think,
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: because there are all the people with the cameras and
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: the recorders and stuff. I want to amplify, like their
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: recording ability. So all of a sudden, the people out
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: there who can record things can hear what's happening in
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: this room. Now whoa or at least can record it?
- 1:06:01Speaker 2: That's crazy.
- 1:06:02Speaker 3: I think I would let you try this as a
- 1:06:05Speaker 3: knowledge check.
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: Okay, with with my appliances, or this would be a new.
- 1:06:10Speaker 3: Nope, this is this is not branching. Okay, yep, this
- 1:06:13Speaker 3: is knowledge plus your control electricity all right, and it
- 1:06:17Speaker 3: is an epic check. So I'm rolling a D twenty
- 1:06:20Speaker 3: and it costs one energy.
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: Okay, pray it up, boys, let's go.
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: Let's go five, roll to sixteen.
- 1:06:29Speaker 3: Cool thought, he said, yeah, yeah, this is THEO I
- 1:06:33Speaker 3: knew him before. He was all like this. He interrupted
- 1:06:37Speaker 3: a good party. That's too bad, but thank you guys
- 1:06:39Speaker 3: for putting him down.
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: Okay, since that didn't work. Can I do the move
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: appliances and just like like have one be traveling up
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: into my hand, like steal one a recorder from somebody
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: down there.
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: Yeah, sure, I just have it. Yeah great, and I'll
- 1:06:56Speaker 2: from from the floor.
- 1:06:57Speaker 5: My paper will like reform into the shape of the
- 1:06:59Speaker 5: fan him and like pick me up and put me
- 1:07:01Speaker 5: back into like the right direction that is facing him.
- 1:07:05Speaker 2: Did you deserve to be saved?
- 1:07:08Speaker 9: George?
- 1:07:09Speaker 3: Oh me, it's George George Olsen from Clank Industries.
- 1:07:14Speaker 2: Of course, paper sword forms in hand. Oh, I'm the
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: victim here, you know. Well, well let's that remains.
- 1:07:23Speaker 4: Let's get this victim and this I look at the
- 1:07:29Speaker 4: mutant before us and this monster down to the authorities.
- 1:07:37Speaker 4: I think I think we're gonna need some help untangling
- 1:07:41Speaker 4: this web.
- 1:07:42Speaker 2: I'll talk to him.
- 1:07:43Speaker 3: Hey, we've been this guy and I we've been in
- 1:07:45Speaker 3: the courts before.
- 1:07:48Speaker 2: We can go through it again if we need to, I.
- 1:07:50Speaker 4: Guess, yeah, if if it's okay with you guys, Jimmy
- 1:07:55Speaker 4: will kind of just look to you guys like should we.
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: Take him out front? Like it was kinda kind of motion, Yeah,
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: come with us.
- 1:08:02Speaker 4: Yeah, Jimir will some of the flight star pick up
- 1:08:05Speaker 4: the monster man, throw him over his shoulder, and yeah,
- 1:08:09Speaker 4: hover out with my buddies. As they're kind of walking, George,
- 1:08:13Speaker 4: I presume toward the front.
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: All of you head down the stairs, hand out into
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: the public eye. There are still recording are there's still
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: reporters here. Also, the police have arrived.
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: I released the recording device back to whoever I it wiped.
- 1:08:30Speaker 3: It magically goes back into the hand of this little
- 1:08:34Speaker 3: freckled guy. Oh, the police are here. They pull out
- 1:08:37Speaker 3: their weapons as they start to run up. Jamir, as
- 1:08:41Speaker 3: you are carrying this man down the stairs. I guess
- 1:08:44Speaker 3: before you get outside. You're carrying this man down the stairs,
- 1:08:46Speaker 3: Jamir incapacitated. Yes, he's not getting back up, but he is.
- 1:08:51Speaker 3: He starts to speak to your in your ear, whispering
- 1:08:55Speaker 3: to you, I was hurt in a in a factory accident.
- 1:09:01Speaker 3: Industrial accident. They've denied my worker's comp fired me outright.
- 1:09:10Speaker 3: I couldn't pay I couldn't pay for my wife's treatments.
- 1:09:15Speaker 3: And he passes out again on your shoulder. I want
- 1:09:20Speaker 3: the paper phantom to do a paper sense check or
- 1:09:24Speaker 3: or excuse me, an investigate check with your paper sense.
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: It's a nine.
- 1:09:30Speaker 3: Okay, this is a difficult check. So I'm rolling a
- 1:09:32Speaker 3: T twelve. I rolled a five. You scan over his
- 1:09:36Speaker 3: body with your paper sense, just because it's habit for you.
- 1:09:39Speaker 3: It's something you do, pressed in ink in his skin.
- 1:09:43Speaker 3: There's an M eleven on his right calf, M eleven,
- 1:09:48Speaker 3: M eleven. Is this bring any bells for me? Or
- 1:09:52Speaker 3: that's all? That's all? Well interesting? You're a book boy.
- 1:09:57Speaker 3: I am a book boy. Roll a knowledge check? Also
- 1:10:00Speaker 3: a difficult chick. That's going to be an eleven for me?
- 1:10:03Speaker 2: Dog ten?
- 1:10:07Speaker 3: Yes, you think, does this ring any bills? You start
- 1:10:11Speaker 3: thinking back the wealth of knowledge that you go to
- 1:10:14Speaker 3: our books, right, this is what Jason grew up knowing
- 1:10:17Speaker 3: and learning. You think of another m in literature who
- 1:10:22Speaker 3: created strange animals. Doctor Moreau gave them numbers. A doctor Moreau, my.
- 1:10:30Speaker 2: Real world's knowledge of literature helped. Well done.
- 1:10:34Speaker 3: You guys come to the outside of this building. The
- 1:10:39Speaker 3: police are here. They seem to be helping the people
- 1:10:43Speaker 3: that were a part of this, that aren't you guys
- 1:10:46Speaker 3: out of the building trying to get people to safety.
- 1:10:50Speaker 3: As they see you guys coming down, a few of
- 1:10:52Speaker 3: them come over and put their hands on their guns.
- 1:10:56Speaker 3: The reporters just start flooding you, taking pictures. George goes
- 1:11:00Speaker 3: in front of everyone. Hey, hey, everybody, I'm okay, I'm okay,
- 1:11:05Speaker 3: I'm okay.
- 1:11:07Speaker 2: These brave heroes saved me on this day. We just
- 1:11:11Speaker 2: awkwardly stand looking at one another. Yeah.
- 1:11:15Speaker 4: I a glance at my compatriots, and then I'll look
- 1:11:19Speaker 4: to the bright lights, squinting a little, and say, seems
- 1:11:24Speaker 4: we have a superpowered, disgruntled employee who was beat down
- 1:11:32Speaker 4: in the legal system, mistreated by his employer here, turned
- 1:11:39Speaker 4: to violence and turned to violence as a solution, which
- 1:11:44Speaker 4: we do not condone. But nor do we condone the
- 1:11:48Speaker 4: desperation this man was driven to. And I will gently
- 1:11:53Speaker 4: lay lay this person down.
- 1:11:56Speaker 3: One of the reporters comes up to you in the
- 1:11:59Speaker 3: crowd here and says, that's a very nuanced answer to
- 1:12:02Speaker 3: this problem. Were there people in danger? Oh yeah, that's
- 1:12:05Speaker 3: why he had to be stopped. There were many workers
- 1:12:09Speaker 3: inside whose lives were being threatened by this wanted violence.
- 1:12:15Speaker 3: I kind of looked a Quanta and uh and uh
- 1:12:18Speaker 3: paper fandom for support.
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: Quanta, not wanting to speak, just tries to give her
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: best encouraging nod to jamieir Uh, I.
- 1:12:27Speaker 5: Will look to George. I will just put my hand
- 1:12:29Speaker 5: on the shoulder of George and say the real he
- 1:12:34Speaker 5: wrote today is George who has generously decided to donate
- 1:12:38Speaker 5: a new wing to the new Babyl Hospital. Isn't that right, George?
- 1:12:42Speaker 3: Yeah, make a coke check. Plus, like, are you doing
- 1:12:48Speaker 3: like your paper? Yeah, I'd like to do any power.
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:12:52Speaker 5: I think what I'd like to do is sort of
- 1:12:54Speaker 5: with my hand on his shoulder, just like paper starting
- 1:12:57Speaker 5: to cut in dam just a little, just.
- 1:12:59Speaker 2: A little average. That's gonna be a twilve for.
- 1:13:06Speaker 3: Me, he says, Yeah, Yes, isn't that something amazing stuff
- 1:13:13Speaker 3: for the people that were hurt here today? A new
- 1:13:16Speaker 3: wing to the new Babbel Hospital an excellent idea.
- 1:13:22Speaker 4: Yes, it will be keeping an eye on things over here,
- 1:13:28Speaker 4: making sure everyone is safe.
- 1:13:31Speaker 2: With that this city needs us.
- 1:13:35Speaker 4: Rider will summit a flight star at his feet, step
- 1:13:39Speaker 4: up on it, look look to my compatriots and say
- 1:13:46Speaker 4: should we be off friends, And.
- 1:13:49Speaker 5: A bunch of paper will will flutter to Jason, large
- 1:13:54Speaker 5: billowing cloak in the wind as he starts to drift
- 1:13:57Speaker 5: in the same direction as Jamir, reaching a hand out
- 1:14:00Speaker 5: for Quanta.
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: Yeah, I think I will join jimyr up on the
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: star rather than lightning striking away cool.
- 1:14:09Speaker 3: As you drift off the crowd of reporters and people here,
- 1:14:15Speaker 3: swells towards you, hands in the air, trying to brush
- 1:14:21Speaker 3: at your feet as you leave, in awe that you're
- 1:14:25Speaker 3: defying gravity before their eyes as you drift away into
- 1:14:30Speaker 3: the city, and then coming to the edge of the crowd,
- 1:14:33Speaker 3: as you find some distance in between you and the
- 1:14:36Speaker 3: mass of people. There's the two people that you saved today.
- 1:14:43Speaker 3: You saved a lot of people, but the two that
- 1:14:46Speaker 3: you held in your arms that would have perished without you.
- 1:14:52Speaker 3: A man freckled with glasses and a comb over and
- 1:14:57Speaker 3: a middle aged woman with brown, curly hair. They both
- 1:15:03Speaker 3: look up in mouth the words thank you as you
- 1:15:09Speaker 3: drift off into the city. And we will end this
- 1:15:27Speaker 3: episode right there. Oh fun combat, yea very fun. We're
- 1:15:36Speaker 3: gonna talk about all of.
- 1:15:37Speaker 5: This nuanced victory, a public relations regular dream, not ninemaire,
