- 1:16Speaker 2: life change inside the Treehouse. Trey, you kind of had
- 1:20Speaker 2: a weekend of discovering things. Tell me more.
- 1:28Speaker 1: Are we talking about the brandy thing or so I've been.
- 1:35Speaker 1: I've been doing exercising twice a day while I am
- 1:42Speaker 1: I'm trying to get a business started and clear my head,
- 1:47Speaker 1: occupy my time, and honestly I started walking after Brandy
- 1:52Speaker 1: left me because I sometimes my thoughts got so dark.
- 1:56Speaker 1: I just needed to get outside and and you know,
- 1:59Speaker 1: some sunshine and some fresh airs.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Helps and a and a rocket revenge bod never heard
- 2:04Speaker 2: anybody either.
- 2:08Speaker 1: So so I was walking, uh the other day and
- 2:14Speaker 1: uh lo and behold uh first and like she she
- 2:19Speaker 1: passed me where you know on I was going east,
- 2:26Speaker 1: she was going west and uh I obviously I saw her.
- 2:33Speaker 1: I don't know if she saw me.
- 2:34Speaker 2: And then she was she on flot or in a car.
- 2:37Speaker 1: She was in a car.
- 2:38Speaker 2: Okay.
- 2:40Speaker 1: Then the following morning, it's about eight thirty ish, I'm
- 2:46Speaker 1: walking and there are multiple apartment complexes around my apartment complex,
- 2:51Speaker 1: and I said, the Cedar Springs area, And I'm walking
- 2:57Speaker 1: past the entrance of you know, of one complex and
- 3:03Speaker 1: she's pulling out and so like, oh, okay, so we
- 3:09Speaker 1: live close to one another.
- 3:10Speaker 2: Great. So this weekend you discovered that your ex girlfriend
- 3:16Speaker 2: who ghosted you lives in the complex around the corner.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Yeah, pretty much. Yeah, And then I and uh so,
- 3:25Speaker 1: I was walking yesterday afternoon Sunday, and there her complex
- 3:33Speaker 1: has a little dog park and and one of the
- 3:36Speaker 1: things that not only did the breakup rip me apart,
- 3:40Speaker 1: because I really thought she was my soulmate and we
- 3:44Speaker 1: had so much in common, and we never thought we
- 3:46Speaker 1: had just a wonderful, wonderful relationship. But one of the
- 3:50Speaker 1: other things was she had a dog, and the dog
- 3:53Speaker 1: was with me a lot, and I got very attached
- 3:55Speaker 1: to the dog, especially after Daisy died. And uh so
- 3:58Speaker 1: she's out in her dog park, and uh, you know,
- 4:04Speaker 1: I the way I walk, I can't help but walk
- 4:10Speaker 1: in front of her. Oh I I could go, and
- 4:11Speaker 1: I'm not gonna. I'm not gonna uproot my life and
- 4:14Speaker 1: what I'm doing just because you.
- 4:16Speaker 2: Know, she lives close by.
- 4:17Speaker 1: I don't care good. But I saw her and obviously
- 4:22Speaker 1: she saw me walking down the opposite side of the street.
- 4:24Speaker 1: But then I go down the intersection cross and come
- 4:27Speaker 1: back up her side of the street, and I looked
- 4:30Speaker 1: over and she's at the farthest point of of of
- 4:33Speaker 1: the dog park holding her dog. Like I like, I
- 4:38Speaker 1: am some kind of maniacal you know, terror that's going
- 4:43Speaker 1: to you know that, I like like, I've like I'm
- 4:47Speaker 1: the villain and I've done something wrong and untowards her
- 4:50Speaker 1: and she has to be afraid of me. So it's
- 4:54Speaker 1: just it's it's just it's just bizarre. And uh I,
- 5:00Speaker 1: I guess when you're when you're avoidant and and you
- 5:06Speaker 1: do stuff like that, I guess you have to make
- 5:08Speaker 1: a reason why the other person's a villain. And and
- 5:12Speaker 1: I don't know, it's it's still it's heartbreaking, but you know,
- 5:15Speaker 1: it is what it is.
- 5:18Speaker 2: On the plus side, if I may mm hmm, your
- 5:23Speaker 2: girlfriend ghosted you and you found her kind of makes
- 5:29Speaker 2: you a ghostbuster. I'm going to drive you to start
- 5:39Speaker 2: drinking again, aren't I No, dude, that sucks so hard.
- 5:49Speaker 1: And actually it's it's oh, it's kind of sad because
- 5:53Speaker 1: one of the things it's it's one of the things
- 5:57Speaker 1: that I absolutely fell in love with with her was
- 5:59Speaker 1: is she had the absolutely it sounds like a cliche,
- 6:03Speaker 1: but a but a spark a light about her. And
- 6:08Speaker 1: the times I've seen her, you know obviously no it's
- 6:10Speaker 1: just from far away or in a car, but she
- 6:12Speaker 1: looks dead inside. So that's sad. I'm wow, But she's
- 6:17Speaker 1: made not only she goes to be then you know,
- 6:21Speaker 1: she just up and I mean she had a fantastic
- 6:24Speaker 1: job and uh up and just quit because she got
- 6:27Speaker 1: mad at them. One day, and I was like, Oh,
- 6:30Speaker 1: all sorts of good decisions, haven't we Wow?
- 6:32Speaker 2: Okay, okay, I have a couple of questions. First of all,
- 6:38Speaker 2: now the apartment you just moved into is not far
- 6:42Speaker 2: from where you lived before, same neighborhood, basically right.
- 6:47Speaker 1: Close enough, close enough. I mean it's it's less than
- 6:49Speaker 1: a mile away about that.
- 6:50Speaker 2: Get that. That's close, especially in Dallas Fort Worth terms,
- 6:53Speaker 2: that's like next door neighbors. So where did she live
- 6:59Speaker 2: prior to hooking up with you?
- 7:05Speaker 1: She lived very close to where we live now, in
- 7:09Speaker 1: the same So basically we're on the other side of
- 7:13Speaker 1: the toll road, like Cedar Springs goes over the toll road.
- 7:19Speaker 1: And I was on one side. She's always been on
- 7:22Speaker 1: this side I was on. Now I'm on that same side,
- 7:25Speaker 1: got it?
- 7:26Speaker 2: Okay? So it in the same general area. The reason
- 7:30Speaker 2: why I asked is because I wasn't sure if it
- 7:32Speaker 2: was like if like if she had lived outside of
- 7:36Speaker 2: that bubble and moved into it to be closer to
- 7:40Speaker 2: whatever the situation was. Because for the most part, I
- 7:43Speaker 2: think you guys were at your apartment for the most part,
- 7:46Speaker 2: and then there was discussions of moving in, and then
- 7:49Speaker 2: obviously that didn't happen, So I was just wondering what
- 7:52Speaker 2: the like the geography was if it was actually she
- 7:55Speaker 2: had uprooted it all.
- 7:57Speaker 1: No, that was actually one of the magical things with
- 7:59Speaker 1: her and dating in this day and age, is sometimes
- 8:04Speaker 1: you know, if someone lives in South Lake, it makes
- 8:08Speaker 1: it a lot harder that I mean, thirty miles may
- 8:11Speaker 1: not sound like a lot, but it ends up being
- 8:13Speaker 1: quite a bit. And she lived right by me, so
- 8:17Speaker 1: that was one of the things that made it very nice.
- 8:19Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, for a for establishing a new relationship, living
- 8:24Speaker 2: kind of far apart is inconvenient, but if the relationship ends,
- 8:29Speaker 2: then it's real.
- 8:30Speaker 1: Nice, fair enough. Yeah, absolutely is true.
- 8:35Speaker 2: Now I've been sort of in the situation that you're
- 8:38Speaker 2: in as far as.
- 8:40Speaker 1: And and listen, you know about this. We did not
- 8:44Speaker 1: talk about this on the show, but I saw her
- 8:46Speaker 1: one other time, and that is it was the weekend
- 8:49Speaker 1: I moved and I had decided I was going to
- 8:52Speaker 1: treat myself to a pedicure. I pull in the parking
- 8:55Speaker 1: lot and and we had both been to this place
- 8:58Speaker 1: before and she's walking out and I like honked and
- 9:02Speaker 1: waved at her, and she would not make eye contact.
- 9:06Speaker 1: With me. She would not look at me. I pulled in,
- 9:10Speaker 1: I was pulled in behind her, then I pulled in
- 9:12Speaker 1: next to her, and I mean, I'm still was one
- 9:16Speaker 1: of the most shocking things that she would not acknowledge
- 9:20Speaker 1: my existence.
- 9:23Speaker 2: Were I'm just asking questions. I'm just curious. I'm just
- 9:25Speaker 2: trying to see the scene in my mind, Like when
- 9:28Speaker 2: you honked and wave, was it like in any way
- 9:32Speaker 2: angry or aggressive at all? Or are you just like, hey, like,
- 9:35Speaker 2: what was it?
- 9:35Speaker 1: What was what was I mean at this point, it's me, Yeah,
- 9:39Speaker 1: this is someone that I spent every day with walked
- 9:42Speaker 1: out of my door and at this point, you know,
- 9:45Speaker 1: I had not seen her in six weeks, and uh
- 9:51Speaker 1: so it was it was shy. I was so stunned
- 9:56Speaker 1: by the fact that I'm just pulling in and thinking,
- 9:59Speaker 1: not thinking about running into her and then she comes
- 10:02Speaker 1: walking out it But no, in no way was it
- 10:07Speaker 1: threatening or any or anything else. I was just honestly,
- 10:10Speaker 1: I wanted to say hi.
- 10:12Speaker 2: Yeah, so kind of getting back to this. So living
- 10:16Speaker 2: kind of far apart from one another is difficult at
- 10:20Speaker 2: the beginning of a relationship, you know, trying to close
- 10:22Speaker 2: that gap, you know, at the distance between the two.
- 10:25Speaker 2: But if the relationship ends, kind of nice because then
- 10:28Speaker 2: you don't have to worry about running into them. But
- 10:30Speaker 2: on the flip side, when you live, work, go out
- 10:35Speaker 2: to eat and stuff in the same area when you meet,
- 10:39Speaker 2: it's great for the relationship because you're so close already.
- 10:44Speaker 2: But if the relationship ends, you're still living and working
- 10:49Speaker 2: and eating in that same neighborhood with the X, and
- 10:52Speaker 2: now you have to navigate that. And that's the area
- 10:57Speaker 2: of your relationship where I have some familiarity because I
- 11:01Speaker 2: had a previous serious relationship and when I moved out,
- 11:07Speaker 2: I moved, you know, basically still in the same area
- 11:11Speaker 2: when I went to go stay with friends, and so
- 11:15Speaker 2: we ran into each other a few times, and a
- 11:18Speaker 2: couple of the times it wasn't so fun. So it's
- 11:23Speaker 2: it's a it's it can be an awkward thing, like
- 11:27Speaker 2: at one point it was it was meant. It was
- 11:29Speaker 2: brought to my attention at one point in the wake
- 11:32Speaker 2: of that relationship that we needed to draw lines and
- 11:37Speaker 2: we needed to split up venues, like one venue would
- 11:41Speaker 2: be hers, another venue would be mine. Kind of a thing,
- 11:44Speaker 2: and somehow we weren't allowed to go into these other spaces.
- 11:47Speaker 2: I flat out denied that. I'm like, I'm not doing that.
- 11:50Speaker 2: I took sort of your approach, which was, I'm I'm
- 11:54Speaker 2: going to live my life and I'm not going to
- 11:57Speaker 2: worry about where you may or may not be right.
- 12:01Speaker 1: I although I had no idea where she had moved,
- 12:06Speaker 1: because she just cut off all contact with me, But
- 12:13Speaker 1: I I knew that sooner or later. I mean, I
- 12:17Speaker 1: knew I would see her, see her. I mean obviously
- 12:20Speaker 1: grocery store, all, you know, various things. It's kind of inevitable. Yeah,
- 12:27Speaker 1: so yeah, it's you know, at first it was shocking
- 12:32Speaker 1: and you're like, oh crap, that's her. And then then
- 12:39Speaker 1: after a while it's like, okay, well, and especially after
- 12:42Speaker 1: the nail salon thing, it's like, I don't understand why
- 12:48Speaker 1: why you would not even look at me or acknowledge
- 12:50Speaker 1: my existence or you know, someone you spent seven months
- 12:53Speaker 1: with and said was the love of your life and
- 12:55Speaker 1: you wanted to spend it forever with and then all
- 12:58Speaker 1: of a sudden and like I said, we never had
- 12:59Speaker 1: a there was no blow up. I still I still
- 13:02Speaker 1: to this day have never gotten anythinging, Hey, I this
- 13:05Speaker 1: is why I left. Yeah, but you can't even say
- 13:10Speaker 1: hello and be cordial. It was was shocking.
- 13:15Speaker 2: Is this the strangest relationship you've had?
- 13:20Speaker 1: It's the strangest breakup. And and this is one of
- 13:24Speaker 1: the things my previous breakups, A lot of my relationships
- 13:29Speaker 1: I was an alcoholic and so they were messy and ugly,
- 13:32Speaker 1: but they were bad relationships. This was the first time
- 13:37Speaker 1: in my life I would say I really had a
- 13:40Speaker 1: healthy relationship. I was very comfortable, the first time I
- 13:43Speaker 1: was comfortable with someone. And I think a lot of it, ironically,
- 13:47Speaker 1: was we had some shared trauma from our mothers and
- 13:52Speaker 1: kind of abandonment issues, you know, And I told her
- 13:57Speaker 1: that was that was the thing, and I knew she
- 13:59Speaker 1: had had some issues with that too with her dad.
- 14:02Speaker 1: But we both had mothers that were selfish, self centered
- 14:07Speaker 1: and at the end of the day, didn't care about
- 14:10Speaker 1: anything but themselves, and we both hated that. And then
- 14:13Speaker 1: it turns out she that's exactly how she acted.
- 14:21Speaker 2: That stings, Yeah, that sings. Oh god.
- 14:25Speaker 1: It's the worst part of it is is that I
- 14:29Speaker 1: never saw it coming from her. I said, we we
- 14:32Speaker 1: had we had so much fun together. We we just
- 14:35Speaker 1: hung out all the time, and it was wonderful, and
- 14:38Speaker 1: then it's like, oh, it's too and then you realize
- 14:42Speaker 1: that's the problem. Oh it's too good, So you instead
- 14:46Speaker 1: of wait, from what everything I've read, yeah, you know,
- 14:49Speaker 1: it's the mindset of, well, before that person leaves me,
- 14:52Speaker 1: I'm going.
- 14:53Speaker 2: To leave them, gotcha? Uh? And and so and not
- 15:00Speaker 2: only did you know after seven months together, not only
- 15:02Speaker 2: does she ghost you, but she also it's a twenty
- 15:07Speaker 2: first century now, so you can't just break up with
- 15:09Speaker 2: anybody anymore because now there's social media implications. One of
- 15:13Speaker 2: the first things. I don't know if any of the
- 15:15Speaker 2: social media platforms have this or not, but I think
- 15:17Speaker 2: they should institute it, which is if I'm not even
- 15:22Speaker 2: sure if Facebook still has the inner relationship, it's complicated
- 15:25Speaker 2: whatever the designations were at one point. I've been married
- 15:30Speaker 2: since twenty twelve, so I don't know what the updates
- 15:32Speaker 2: have come with minds pretty much just said married to
- 15:34Speaker 2: Terra for quite a while. But what I'm getting at is,
- 15:37Speaker 2: when you break up with someone in the twenty first century,
- 15:40Speaker 2: it's like, Okay, how are we going to handle this
- 15:44Speaker 2: on social media? You know, there needs to be a
- 15:47Speaker 2: function on social media to be like, Okay, wipe all
- 15:51Speaker 2: photos with this person, because that's what a lot of
- 15:53Speaker 2: people do. Like first steps is like I now have
- 15:56Speaker 2: to wipe from existence any sort of evidence on social
- 16:00Speaker 2: media that this relationship ever happened.
- 16:04Speaker 1: She did that to me. I looked at her social
- 16:08Speaker 1: media and I was like, oh, you have deleted every
- 16:11Speaker 1: picture of us. And at that point, this is the
- 16:17Speaker 1: funny thing. You want to know what's going on. And
- 16:20Speaker 1: I knew her, you know her like Instagram was set
- 16:24Speaker 1: to private and h but I had to unfriend her
- 16:28Speaker 1: because I I I was in a very dark place.
- 16:33Speaker 1: And it's like if I had seen her, if she
- 16:34Speaker 1: had posted a picture, you know, just a couple of
- 16:37Speaker 1: times she posted, it just tore me up. And so
- 16:39Speaker 1: I was like, okay, I can't do this to myself.
- 16:42Speaker 1: And then she she has since blocked me. Why. I
- 16:45Speaker 1: don't know. Again somehow I'm the villain. I guess.
- 16:55Speaker 2: Did you see that she had blocked you before you
- 16:58Speaker 2: saw her as living nearby, or before you saw her
- 17:02Speaker 2: at the nail salon? Or did that happen after.
- 17:07Speaker 1: Before I knew we were living close by. So I
- 17:12Speaker 1: but sometime, I guess sometime maybe it was I don't
- 17:17Speaker 1: know exactly because I quit looking for a while and
- 17:21Speaker 1: then I had one picture left, and then that she
- 17:24Speaker 1: was tagged in, and then you know, I clicked on it. It
- 17:28Speaker 1: was like this person doesn't exist. I'm like, oh, she
- 17:29Speaker 1: blocked me.
- 17:31Speaker 2: Yikes. So so here's the other interesting angle when it
- 17:41Speaker 2: comes to dating in the twenty first century with social
- 17:44Speaker 2: media implications, and that is for the third wheels, because
- 17:50Speaker 2: when when someone is in a serious relationship, what happens.
- 17:54Speaker 2: You meet their friends, right, you meet their family. Well,
- 17:57Speaker 2: you also now become friends with them on social media, right, So.
- 18:02Speaker 1: And I know that you are still friends with her,
- 18:05Speaker 1: and and but I have never asked, Like, I'm I
- 18:14Speaker 1: trust that if there was anything significant, you would give
- 18:18Speaker 1: me a heads up, so I didn't get blindsided. Other
- 18:20Speaker 1: than that, it's like I don't want to know.
- 18:22Speaker 2: Yeah, first of all, I absolutely would. But it's interesting
- 18:26Speaker 2: because it's, like, God, it's interesting on so many levels
- 18:29Speaker 2: from the outside looking in, from the third wheel perspective,
- 18:31Speaker 2: it's really effed up because I feel badly for you.
- 18:34Speaker 2: You're one of my closest friends. You're one of the
- 18:36Speaker 2: people on this planet I've known for a very long time,
- 18:40Speaker 2: and I'm obviously on your side. And I didn't realize
- 18:48Speaker 2: before you guys were together that she and I were
- 18:50Speaker 2: already friends on social media.
- 18:52Speaker 1: I didn't realize she was a fan of the show,
- 18:55Speaker 1: and I mean going back to the radio days and
- 18:56Speaker 1: then the podcast.
- 18:58Speaker 2: So when you got you know, when the relationship ended,
- 19:03Speaker 2: I looked to see if she had you know, canceled
- 19:08Speaker 2: me as well, and it showed that we still followed
- 19:10Speaker 2: each other. I was like, oh, okay, all right then.
- 19:15Speaker 2: So the other angle then is since she hasn't blocked
- 19:19Speaker 2: me as far as I know, I haven't checked, do
- 19:22Speaker 2: you need me to Do you want me to unfriend her?
- 19:24Speaker 2: This is the weird conversations you have in the twenty
- 19:27Speaker 2: first century when it comes to dating. When someone's relationship
- 19:30Speaker 2: is I got to friends with the X on social media?
- 19:32Speaker 2: Am I supposed to keep that? Do I unfollow? What
- 19:34Speaker 2: do I do there?
- 19:35Speaker 1: No, you shouldn't do a thing like I said it.
- 19:39Speaker 1: There's no jealousy or anything else. And so no, I
- 19:47Speaker 1: don't you know, feel like there's some betrayal or anything
- 19:49Speaker 1: that you're still friends with her and you should be
- 19:51Speaker 1: and you know, it's it is what it is, So
- 19:56Speaker 1: I have no, it doesn't bother me at all that
- 20:02Speaker 1: you all are friends. And you know, like I said,
- 20:04Speaker 1: I I have gotten to a point and this is
- 20:12Speaker 1: age and this is everything else. And you know, I
- 20:14Speaker 1: pray that she finds peace and happiness and heals from
- 20:18Speaker 1: whatever ails her. I'm sorry that she, yeah, thinks I'm
- 20:25Speaker 1: such an awful person and won't talk to me. But
- 20:27Speaker 1: it is what it is.
- 20:30Speaker 2: It's amazing there there. There are sometimes when I hear
- 20:33Speaker 2: this version of you say things like you just did,
- 20:36Speaker 2: and I wish I could take the recording of it
- 20:39Speaker 2: and play it for the tray. I knew twenty years ago.
- 20:42Speaker 3: Just to see, just to see what he would say.
- 20:55Speaker 2: There'd be a lot of leaps. Let's get Daniel Cook

- 21:22Speaker 2: can be to the life of the roof. That's something
- 21:25Speaker 2: you guys look at. It's not just about shingles.
- 21:28Speaker 4: Absolutely, Dan, a lot of homeowners underestimate the amount of
- 21:32Speaker 4: attic heat build up that their home has, affects their
- 21:36Speaker 4: AC system, affects their roof condition, long term, affects just
- 21:41Speaker 4: overall their home. And so when we come out we
- 21:44Speaker 4: make that assessment with the homeowner, we try to educate them,
- 21:47Speaker 4: make sure they have the proper ventilation.
- 21:49Speaker 2: There is a calculation of this.
- 21:51Speaker 4: We walk them around if they're interested in going around,
- 21:53Speaker 4: we show them what their intakes look like, what their
- 21:55Speaker 4: exhaust system looks like, and try to make the best
- 21:57Speaker 4: fit for their home. So that's a very common thing
- 22:00Speaker 4: that we do and it should be done every time
- 22:01Speaker 4: you have construction done at your property. You need to
- 22:03Speaker 4: be educated on what's happening and why.
- 22:07Speaker 2: And if you've ever dealt with a roofing contractor that
- 22:10Speaker 2: didn't have a conversation with you about ventilation underneath that roof,
- 22:16Speaker 2: then you need to call Daniel Cook at eight three

- 22:24Speaker 2: experience that comes from COOKDFW. So use that number eight

- 23:10Speaker 2: inside the Treehouse, I'm Dan along with Trey. Today is Tuesday,
- 23:14Speaker 2: July twenty first, twenty twenty six. Let's celebrate with some birthdays. Ah,
- 23:25Speaker 2: hang on all right? Turning sixty nine today, John Lovett's
- 23:31Speaker 2: former Saturday Night Live cast member, famous for characters like
- 23:34Speaker 2: Tommy Flanagan, the pathological liar. John Lovett's sixty nine today
- 23:41Speaker 2: to me part of what I consider to be the heyday,
- 23:45Speaker 2: like the golden era of Saturday Night Live when he
- 23:50Speaker 2: him Phil Hartman, Like that nineties era Saturday Night Live
- 23:57Speaker 2: was really really solid, and some of the late eighties
- 24:00Speaker 2: as well. I think I think he kind of carried
- 24:02Speaker 2: over from the eighties and in the nineties.
- 24:04Speaker 1: So you know, and it's it's funny how we remember
- 24:06Speaker 1: SNL because like SNL in the eighties gets panned a lot,
- 24:12Speaker 1: but it was actually really good. I mean the Eddie
- 24:13Speaker 1: Murphy days. Yeah, Joe Piscopo, that that.
- 24:20Speaker 2: Kevin Neelan, the Blonde Jackson, Victoria Victoria Jackson. There were
- 24:28Speaker 2: so many great cast members. Phil Hartman I was one
- 24:30Speaker 2: of the all time best.
- 24:31Speaker 1: Oh it's gosh, I've I went back. I've watched a
- 24:38Speaker 1: few episodes of news Radio that such a good show.
- 24:43Speaker 2: Ed you talk about ripping open a time capsule when
- 24:47Speaker 2: it comes to a television show and seeing people that
- 24:50Speaker 2: were a part of that show back then and knowing
- 24:52Speaker 2: what some of them are doing now you whoof.
- 24:56Speaker 1: I mean, Joe Rogan is the you know, has hair.
- 25:01Speaker 2: He's like the sixth person down on the cast list
- 25:04Speaker 2: in that show.
- 25:05Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I mean it's a fantastic cast and you know, sadly,
- 25:09Speaker 1: you know, Phil Hartman's no longer with us, but I
- 25:12Speaker 1: and Andy Dick is such a mess. But one of
- 25:15Speaker 1: the funny in the second episode, it's like they're doing
- 25:23Speaker 1: a story on Joey but a Fuco and they're like
- 25:28Speaker 1: and he Dick comes out of the booth and they're going, uh,
- 25:33Speaker 1: it's a but a fu go not what you said?
- 25:37Speaker 1: And he said, I don't get it, and he's like
- 25:41Speaker 1: in a second, and they're like.
- 25:42Speaker 2: Oh God, that's up there. Like in our radio days
- 25:49Speaker 2: about whether or not to say ship's creak on the radio,
- 25:53Speaker 2: it's like, well, I mean it's s C H I
- 25:55Speaker 2: T T S and you know, Canada is saying it's so,
- 25:57Speaker 2: why can't we And it's with a name like but Afuco.
- 26:01Speaker 2: It's like you want to make sure you say that
- 26:03Speaker 2: one right.
- 26:04Speaker 1: Yeah, don't don't. Don't get the the hard cut in there?
- 26:08Speaker 2: H Was that? So? Whenever I hear the name but
- 26:12Speaker 2: a Fuco? Was it on news radio where they were
- 26:17Speaker 2: maybe this scene you're talking about where they were trying
- 26:20Speaker 2: to like butt of fuoco. I don't know why that's
- 26:23Speaker 2: in my head. I don't know if it was a
- 26:25Speaker 2: Saturday night live bit or maybe it was on news radio,
- 26:27Speaker 2: but for some reason, I remember someone somewhere saying butt
- 26:30Speaker 2: of fuoco And I don't know why that's in my brain.
- 26:33Speaker 1: Now. This one obviously clearly he said, but a fucko.
- 26:38Speaker 3: At uh.
- 26:40Speaker 1: But yeah, that that was It's actually it's it's a
- 26:43Speaker 1: funny show.
- 26:45Speaker 2: That's a great show. I've h I don't know is
- 26:48Speaker 2: it streaming anywhere, because that's a show I would love
- 26:50Speaker 2: to go back and watch.
- 26:51Speaker 1: Yeah, it's on Roku.
- 26:53Speaker 2: Okay, the yeah, because I just off the top of
- 26:56Speaker 2: my head thinking about the cast. Obviously you got Andy Dick,
- 27:02Speaker 2: Joe Rogan, I'm brain farting Phil Hartman. I'm brain farting
- 27:07Speaker 2: on the guy who was the program director that was
- 27:10Speaker 2: from Kids in the Hall, Dave Fully, Dave Foley. He
- 27:15Speaker 2: was like the star of the show. And then the
- 27:18Speaker 2: station manager or owner I forget, which is Stephen Root,
- 27:22Speaker 2: who's the guy that goes on to play Milton in
- 27:25Speaker 2: Office Space wanting his staple or he's also the guy
- 27:27Speaker 2: that was the middle aged guy with the wife that
- 27:31Speaker 2: hated him in Dodgeball. I like Steven Root's one of
- 27:35Speaker 2: my favorite actors. I think I've loved pretty much everything
- 27:38Speaker 2: I've seen him in. And when he's Jimmy James and
- 27:40Speaker 2: news Radio, he is so good. Oh yeah, it is freaky.
- 27:44Speaker 2: And watching that show news Radio. That show was on
- 27:48Speaker 2: around the time that I was starting to get into radio,
- 27:54Speaker 2: and so when I've gone back and watched episodes of it,
- 27:57Speaker 2: it is so relatable from a radio employee perspective. Oh yo, no,
- 28:01Speaker 2: it is they did they did good.
- 28:05Speaker 1: Yeah. No, it's a you know, fantastic cast. Uh Mar Tierney,
- 28:10Speaker 1: Uh like she was great in in the nineties and
- 28:15Speaker 1: two thousands and and some really good roles. But no,
- 28:19Speaker 1: that that cast is phenomenal, and it's it's a funny,
- 28:22Speaker 1: funny show that it's a gym.
- 28:25Speaker 2: And since we're talking, we since you know, we went
- 28:29Speaker 2: off on this tangent because it's John Lovett's birthday, we
- 28:31Speaker 2: mentioned Andy Dick from news radio. It's important to mention
- 28:35Speaker 2: the altercation that happened between John Lovetts and Andy Dick
- 28:39Speaker 2: after after Phil Hartman died. Uh. And that is the
- 28:45Speaker 2: physical confrontation from a bitter years long feud regarding the
- 28:49Speaker 2: tragic nineteen ninety eight deaths of their friends Phil and
- 28:53Speaker 2: Brn Hartman. You ever heard about this? No ooh, this
- 28:58Speaker 2: is good. So John Lovet's blamemed Andy Dick for Brent
- 29:01Speaker 2: Hartman's relapse into cocaine addiction. Brent Hartman's Phil Hartman's wife,
- 29:06Speaker 2: which preceded her fatally shooting her husband Phil and then herself.
- 29:12Speaker 2: Andy Dick has denied providing her with the drugs. At
- 29:16Speaker 2: a restaurant in West Hollywood, a drunken Andy Dick allegedly
- 29:19Speaker 2: approached John Lovetz and told them I put the Phil
- 29:23Speaker 2: Hartman hex on you. You're the next one to die, before
- 29:27Speaker 2: downing the drinks at John Lovettz's table. When the two
- 29:30Speaker 2: comedians saw each other at the Laugh Factory a year later,
- 29:33Speaker 2: Lovitz demanded an apology for the hex. Andy Dick refused,
- 29:37Speaker 2: which prompted Lovitz to physically assault him. And by physically
- 29:41Speaker 2: assault him, I mean he grabbed Andy Dick by the
- 29:43Speaker 2: lapels and repeatedly smashed his head and back into a bar, which,
- 29:48Speaker 2: let's be honest, lots of people had wanted to do
- 29:51Speaker 2: that to Andy Dick. So kudos to John Lovettz and
- 29:55Speaker 2: honest to God. When I first heard this story, I
- 29:57Speaker 2: was like, John Lovetz.
- 29:59Speaker 1: Did, Yeah, that's like.
- 30:01Speaker 2: That's not a guy I would expect to go off
- 30:03Speaker 2: and just beat well out of somebody.
- 30:05Speaker 1: And especially you look at what has become of Andy Dick,
- 30:08Speaker 1: and then you think, eh, he might have been right,
- 30:10Speaker 1: because Andy Dick clearly now looks like someone who has
- 30:14Speaker 1: been using drugs way too long and he is just.
- 30:16Speaker 2: Fried, absolutely and so like in that scenario, like in
- 30:21Speaker 2: your scenario, I'm team Tray. When it comes to you
- 30:24Speaker 2: and your ex girlfriend in love, it's Andy Dick. I'm
- 30:26Speaker 2: team Love. It's yea, absolutely smack that bitch up. So
- 30:31Speaker 2: happy Happy birthday, John Lovetts sixty nine. Josh Hartnett is
- 30:35Speaker 2: forty eight. He's had He's one of those guys that's
- 30:37Speaker 2: had an interesting Hollywood career. He's one of the stars
- 30:41Speaker 2: of Black Hawk Down. He was in Pearl Harbor opposite
- 30:44Speaker 2: Ben Affleck in that weird ass Michael Bay depiction of
- 30:49Speaker 2: Pearl Harbor got that was weird. Although I always like
- 30:56Speaker 2: the movie.
- 30:58Speaker 1: I do.
- 30:59Speaker 2: It's a movie I can watch pretty much anytime it's on.
- 31:02Speaker 1: I mean, it's it's a it's Michael, it's a Michael
- 31:04Speaker 1: Bay movie. And especially in that time there's a lot
- 31:08Speaker 1: of explosions, a lot of you know, very dramatic scenes, but.
- 31:12Speaker 2: It's good and uh and look, I mean, if we're
- 31:15Speaker 2: being honest in the nineties, in that time, in that
- 31:17Speaker 2: time frame, Ben Affleck, Josh Hartnett falling in love with
- 31:22Speaker 2: the same woman. Uh, played by a very attractive actress.
- 31:29Speaker 2: I am absolutely brain fighting on her name. Oh she was.
- 31:37Speaker 2: She was one of my one of like my nineties
- 31:39Speaker 2: and early two thousands crushes Kate Kate Beckinsale, especially with
- 31:44Speaker 2: her her role in the vampire movies that that that
- 31:47Speaker 2: she did. Whow uh So anyway, you know, when you
- 31:52Speaker 2: think about two guys battling it over over a girl,
- 31:56Speaker 2: You're like, no, man, we're not doing that. Bros before
- 31:58Speaker 2: hose kind of a thing. But then when you see
- 32:00Speaker 2: Kate Beckhamsale in Pearl Harbor, You're like, I get it. Yeah,
- 32:04Speaker 2: I'd punch you, Trey.
- 32:07Speaker 1: I'd expect nothing less.
- 32:09Speaker 2: And I'd expect you to hit back. So Josh Harten
- 32:13Speaker 2: at forty eight D, like I said, he's had one
- 32:14Speaker 2: of those interesting Hollywood careers because he started out really
- 32:17Speaker 2: hot and then it kind of cooled off for some reason,
- 32:20Speaker 2: no idea why, and then he's had a bit of
- 32:23Speaker 2: a resurgence. He was in a movie in an m
- 32:25Speaker 2: Night Shyamalan movie last year a couple of years ago,
- 32:28Speaker 2: where the movie was called Trap and I love the
- 32:32Speaker 2: premise of the film. The movie was mostly good, it
- 32:36Speaker 2: was okay, are you familiar with this at all? So
- 32:40Speaker 2: the movie was called Trap. Josh Hartnett goes to a
- 32:45Speaker 2: concert sort of like Taylor Swift Lady Gaga type concert. Okay, okay.
- 32:51Speaker 2: He takes his daughter to this concert and the concert
- 32:56Speaker 2: is a trap that the FBI and the police have
- 33:01Speaker 2: set to catch a serial killer. Yeah, and he's the
- 33:05Speaker 2: serial killer.
- 33:06Speaker 1: Okay, Yeah, I remember. I want to say that he
- 33:09Speaker 1: was on Netflix for a while and I remember I
- 33:12Speaker 1: was like, that looks really good.
- 33:15Speaker 2: I mean that like I said, I mean, the premise
- 33:17Speaker 2: is awesome. Like when I first saw the trailer for that,
- 33:19Speaker 2: I was like, ooh, that is good. Uh and you
- 33:23Speaker 2: know it's it's an m Night Shamalan movie. So it
- 33:25Speaker 2: didn't quite stick the landing. It was good, it was interesting,
- 33:30Speaker 2: and it turned out it was a nice vehicle for
- 33:32Speaker 2: m Night Shyamalan to promote his daughter's musical career because
- 33:37Speaker 2: his daughter played this singer in the movie and the
- 33:41Speaker 2: music that they played was some of her original stuff.
- 33:44Speaker 1: What was his he did the Blair Witch project or
- 33:49Speaker 1: is that something? Well he didn't what made him famous?
- 33:52Speaker 2: Signs? Okay, Signs did it? And to be fair, yeah,
- 33:58Speaker 2: it was worth it. Some of his other movies not
- 34:02Speaker 2: so much. I'm sorry. I actually no Signs was him,
- 34:06Speaker 2: but I don't think that was the one that got
- 34:08Speaker 2: him his start. The one that got him his start
- 34:10Speaker 2: was I See Dead People.
- 34:14Speaker 1: Oh, oh, okay, Sixth Sense.
- 34:19Speaker 2: That's it, Yes, Sixth Sense. That was his breakout thing.
- 34:23Speaker 2: Sixth Sense was his breakout thing. Signs was really really good.
- 34:26Speaker 2: I love that movie. I love Signs. I think that's
- 34:29Speaker 2: so good. It was so clever, so well done. And
- 34:31Speaker 2: then a bunch of his other movies were just kind
- 34:32Speaker 2: of like. The Happening is my favorite of those. It
- 34:37Speaker 2: is such a nothing burger of a movie. Have you
- 34:40Speaker 2: ever seen that with Mark Wahlberg. I didn't mean for
- 34:42Speaker 2: the nothing burger and the wallburger thing to be in there.
- 34:44Speaker 2: It just kind of worked out.
- 34:46Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 34:46Speaker 2: I think it was Zoey Deschanel. Mark Wahlberg was the Happening.
- 34:50Speaker 2: And they can't figure out why people are killing themselves.
- 34:53Speaker 2: Like the movie starts with, oh, it's a normal day,
- 34:55Speaker 2: blah blah blah, and then all of a sudden, all
- 34:57Speaker 2: these people are just like throwing themselves off buildings and stuff.
- 35:02Speaker 2: Turns out it was the trees spoiler alert. The trees
- 35:06Speaker 2: are just going damn you. I know. Sorry, man, that's
- 35:11Speaker 2: the big reveal of the movie. It's the trees. Two hours,
- 35:16Speaker 2: it's the trees, Like, God help me.
- 35:18Speaker 1: Are they like Ensign Lord of the Rings or are
- 35:20Speaker 1: they just trees?
- 35:22Speaker 2: No, They're just trees.
- 35:22Speaker 1: Oh yeah, that's blowing in the wind. That sounds like
- 35:25Speaker 1: a movie I'd be very disappointed with. So thanks for
- 35:27Speaker 1: the spoiler.
- 35:27Speaker 2: Everybody was trust I don't know if he's a disappointment
- 35:34Speaker 2: or not. But Rory Colkin is thirty seven. I say,
- 35:36Speaker 2: I don't know if he's a disappointment or not. He
- 35:38Speaker 2: comes from the Culkin family. He's just one of the
- 35:41Speaker 2: youngest kids. So Rory Colkin is known for films such
- 35:45Speaker 2: as Signs, Lords of Chaos, Black Mirror. So Rory Colkin
- 35:53Speaker 2: got his start in Hollywood by playing the younger version
- 35:57Speaker 2: of his older brothers and other projects. Because you've got
- 36:04Speaker 2: Macaulay Culkin is the main Culkin kid, and then Kieren
- 36:10Speaker 2: Kieran Culkin is the one that's killing it with everything
- 36:14Speaker 2: he touches.
- 36:16Speaker 1: I just it's interesting you brought that because I just
- 36:20Speaker 1: started watching Succession.
- 36:23Speaker 2: How good is that? I've heard nothing but great things fantastic.
- 36:25Speaker 1: I mean, I'm I'm seven episodes in the first season,
- 36:33Speaker 1: but it is fantastic. Cat I love Brian Cox, like
- 36:41Speaker 1: that's something about him, and so I have found it
- 36:47Speaker 1: absolutely fantastic.
- 36:49Speaker 2: Everyone I've ever talked to that has said anything about
- 36:51Speaker 2: this show, it's been glowing. It's on my list of
- 36:55Speaker 2: things to watch. I just can't quite get there yet. Yeah,
- 36:58Speaker 2: I don't even remember. I saw something about it and
- 37:01Speaker 2: I was like, you know what, I was kind of.
- 37:05Speaker 1: I didn't want to get any more. I have found
- 37:08Speaker 1: that I have to be in the right and mindset
- 37:10Speaker 1: to watch Game of Thrones.
- 37:13Speaker 2: That makes sense that you got to pay attention, man, That's.
- 37:16Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like you've really got to be watching it.
- 37:19Speaker 1: And there's sometimes so I was also on HPOS. I
- 37:22Speaker 1: started watching Succession because I was gonna watch that, or
- 37:25Speaker 1: I never watched The Wire, and everyone has said The
- 37:27Speaker 1: Wire was fantastic.
- 37:29Speaker 2: I saw a couple of episodes back when it first aired,
- 37:31Speaker 2: and I really liked it, but I just didn't. I
- 37:33Speaker 2: guess I didn't have time to watch it when it
- 37:35Speaker 2: actually aired back in the day. And that's I'm with you,
- 37:37Speaker 2: that's one that I want to go back and actually
- 37:39Speaker 2: watch because it's one of the greatest television zones of
- 37:41Speaker 2: all time according to people.
- 37:43Speaker 1: But succession so far, like I said, I think I'm
- 37:46Speaker 1: seven episodes in the first season, fantastic.
- 37:50Speaker 2: Two more birthdays. I want to mention both. They're deceased,
- 37:53Speaker 2: but they're very prominent ones. Robin Williams would have been
- 37:56Speaker 2: seventy five today. He passed away in twenty fourteen.
- 38:00Speaker 1: Have you read the stories about what was why he
- 38:03Speaker 1: committed suicide. No, Basically he was in a there's a
- 38:12Speaker 1: name for it, but he was in a very advanced
- 38:14Speaker 1: stage of dementius last Alzheimer's, and he was at a
- 38:18Speaker 1: point where they said the last movie he did that
- 38:21Speaker 1: he had to have Q cards for everything. He couldn't
- 38:23Speaker 1: remember any lines. And so evidently when they did an
- 38:29Speaker 1: autopsy on him and they figured this out and said, sadly,
- 38:36Speaker 1: at least today they probably could have slowed down the progression.
- 38:40Speaker 1: But that's why. But he is one of the few
- 38:44Speaker 1: celebrities with his death actually really made me sad because
- 38:52Speaker 1: he was such a part of from Morgan Mindy on
- 38:55Speaker 1: up everything. He I can't really think of anything he
- 39:01Speaker 1: did that was really bad.
- 39:03Speaker 2: Same, Uh, it's sort of like we grew up watching
- 39:06Speaker 2: all his stuff. Yeah, from like you mentioned, from Morcan
- 39:09Speaker 2: Mindy to Hook, the Unting Look, Goodwill, Hunting Dead Poet Society,
- 39:17Speaker 2: all the work he did, all his stand up stuff.
- 39:21Speaker 2: What was it? Uh? The what was the big comedy
- 39:25Speaker 2: comedy relief? I remember watching those and and he and
- 39:27Speaker 2: Billy Crystal doing those mentioning those two. The little cameo
- 39:33Speaker 2: that the two of them did on Friends. Uh, that
- 39:36Speaker 2: that was really funny, Patch Adams. I mean so many
- 39:41Speaker 2: great roles Missus Doubtfire. It's yeah, speaking of stories and
- 39:47Speaker 2: sharing things with each other. That the that the other
- 39:50Speaker 2: didn't know. Did you know what Robin Williams did to
- 39:54Speaker 2: Sally Field on the set of Missus Doubtfire?
- 39:59Speaker 1: Yes, I something about it. It was like the courtroom
- 40:06Speaker 1: scene and she had just lost.
- 40:09Speaker 2: Yeah, for the sake of me telling this brief story,
- 40:12Speaker 2: say uh, no, I don't tell me, No, Dan tell me.
- 40:16Speaker 2: I'd be happy to trey. So while filming Missus Doubtfire,
- 40:19Speaker 2: they're filming, you know, this emotional scene and Sally it's
- 40:22Speaker 2: like a courtroom scene. You know, Sally Field's character it's divorcing,
- 40:25Speaker 2: you know, Daniel, Robin Williams's character and something like Robin
- 40:33Speaker 2: Williams could tell something was wrong, something was off with
- 40:36Speaker 2: Sally Field, and he's like, what's wrong, And she told him,
- 40:42Speaker 2: my I just found out that my dad died. And
- 40:45Speaker 2: apparently they'd had this strained relationship, but she said that
- 40:49Speaker 2: she was sort of in a in a place trying
- 40:51Speaker 2: to process this whole thing that had just happened. She
- 40:53Speaker 2: just learned that her dad had died, and she was like,
- 40:59Speaker 2: she had to go to work that day. She had to,
- 41:01Speaker 2: They had they had to stay on schedule. They had
- 41:03Speaker 2: all these reasoned studio stuff. Producers are like, we have
- 41:05Speaker 2: to get these shots in, we have to get this
- 41:07Speaker 2: movie done, blah blah blah. And so she tells him, well, yeah,
- 41:14Speaker 2: my dad died. And and when the way Sally Field
- 41:19Speaker 2: told this story that I saw, you know, she emphasizes
- 41:23Speaker 2: that this is basically the height of Robin Williams's career,
- 41:30Speaker 2: and so he just they shared like an emotional moment together,
- 41:37Speaker 2: and he offered his sympathies and things, and then he
- 41:39Speaker 2: stood up and said we're done for today and just
- 41:44Speaker 2: shut the whole f and movie down so she could
- 41:46Speaker 2: go and do her thing and then once she was ready,
- 41:48Speaker 2: she came back and then they finished the movie. But
- 41:51Speaker 2: I mean she was like, that was his movie and
- 41:55Speaker 2: obviously he knew he had the power to call that shot.
- 41:57Speaker 2: And he's like, we're done for the day. Well, okay.
- 42:00Speaker 1: One of his other one of the other great stories
- 42:02Speaker 1: about him, and one of my favorite probably maybe it's
- 42:07Speaker 1: one of my top three all the time favorite movies
- 42:08Speaker 1: is The Bird Cage. And obviously Nathan Lane was gay,
- 42:13Speaker 1: but at that time that was I mean, it's so
- 42:16Speaker 1: hard to for people to understand that of truly what
- 42:21Speaker 1: in the closet was, but uh, they were like on
- 42:24Speaker 1: an interview with Oprah and he Nathan Lane tells a
- 42:27Speaker 1: story about she was kind of leaning in a direction
- 42:30Speaker 1: of asking him kind of about sexuality and everything else
- 42:33Speaker 1: and said Robin just stepped in and like took the
- 42:36Speaker 1: bullet and just just kept veering off in another direction
- 42:40Speaker 1: to shield him from having to talk about it.
- 42:43Speaker 2: It's amazing. Yeah, it's amazing to not only uh, to
- 42:47Speaker 2: do it, but to have the wherewithal and the acumen
- 42:50Speaker 2: to see that unfolding and be able to do something
- 42:54Speaker 2: about it. So, albeit posthumously, Happy birthday, Robin Williams one
- 42:59Speaker 2: more birthday that is of a deceased person, and I
- 43:03Speaker 2: have to admit this is one of those. I have
- 43:04Speaker 2: a little bit of a hot take on Ernest Hemingway
- 43:08Speaker 2: is one hundred and twenty seven today if he was
- 43:11Speaker 2: still alive. He passed away in nineteen sixty one. He
- 43:14Speaker 2: is the Nobel winning prize author of The Old Man
- 43:17Speaker 2: in the Sea and For Whom the Bell Tolls, which sucks.
- 43:23Speaker 2: Here's my hot take with Ernest Timmingway. I went to
- 43:26Speaker 2: the bookstore last year and I was like, you know what,
- 43:29Speaker 2: I'm going to finally read some of these classics that
- 43:32Speaker 2: I was supposed to in high school that I just
- 43:34Speaker 2: read the cliffs notes and went to football practice for instead. Right,
- 43:39Speaker 2: So I went to the bookstore and I got not one,
- 43:43Speaker 2: but two Ernest Timingway books. I said, you know what,
- 43:46Speaker 2: I'm going to do this. I'm going to read Himingway
- 43:48Speaker 2: like a damn man. And I read it and I
- 43:53Speaker 2: was like, eh, look, I get it. It was it was.
- 44:00Speaker 2: His writing style was revolutionary for the time. But and
- 44:07Speaker 2: don't get me wrong, he does have the absolute best
- 44:10Speaker 2: short story of all time for sale, baby Shoes never used.
- 44:20Speaker 2: Even I was not a fan of of of the
- 44:22Speaker 2: book that I read, the one and a half books
- 44:26Speaker 2: I read.
- 44:29Speaker 1: I know I had to read. I want to say
- 44:31Speaker 1: for whom the Bell tolls? But I just don't remember.
- 44:35Speaker 1: I don't remember it. But I think there's one of
- 44:38Speaker 1: the fascinating things some of the literature that we grew
- 44:44Speaker 1: up with. I think with the changes in technology has
- 44:49Speaker 1: it's changed our perspective on how we look at it.
- 44:52Speaker 2: What do you mean?
- 44:54Speaker 1: I think it's harder to relate to.
- 44:59Speaker 2: That could be.
- 45:02Speaker 1: I mean, especially for you, for younger, if anyone thirty
- 45:08Speaker 1: five or under, they they don't know a world without
- 45:13Speaker 1: cell phones, without internet. And I'll tell you it sounds simple.
- 45:22Speaker 1: But when I was in the previous relations previous previous
- 45:28Speaker 1: relationship and she had kids, we had to kid read
- 45:33Speaker 1: The Hardy Boys, which I always love. The Hardy Boys
- 45:35Speaker 1: growing up to totally unrelatable now because you look at
- 45:39Speaker 1: some of the ways they solve things. They're like, well,
- 45:41Speaker 1: why wouldn't you just go online?
- 45:43Speaker 2: And the Hardy Boys didn't have the Internet.
- 45:49Speaker 1: But that's what it's. It's so hard for them to
- 45:52Speaker 1: understand no internet, no TV TV, if you had TV,
- 45:58Speaker 1: no only three channels and no email, having to look
- 46:03Speaker 1: stuff up that no Google is probably the biggest thing
- 46:08Speaker 1: that that their their minds can no longer wrap themselves around,
- 46:12Speaker 1: is actually having to look at a dictionary, world book, encyclopedia,
- 46:18Speaker 1: do research instead of just going hey Google.
- 46:22Speaker 2: Yeah, but how is it that they like they have
- 46:26Speaker 2: to be able to process some of this stuff? And
- 46:28Speaker 2: what I mean is like if they're watching a western,
- 46:31Speaker 2: they know that there's no Google. You know, uh, you know,
- 46:34Speaker 2: when you're you know, watching a show about the wild wild.
- 46:37Speaker 1: Watching watching is is different okay, reading where you actually
- 46:43Speaker 1: have to use some imagination. It is, if I would
- 46:46Speaker 1: say there is that is the one problem with this
- 46:48Speaker 1: new generation is they lack the imagination because everything's visual
- 46:52Speaker 1: for them.
- 46:53Speaker 2: It's all spoon fed and it's like they don't have
- 46:55Speaker 2: to come up with anything in their mind. It's issues
- 46:57Speaker 2: you're right there on the tablet.
- 46:58Speaker 1: And it's why it's why they don't read.
- 47:03Speaker 2: So the book that I read all of by Ernest
- 47:07Speaker 2: Hemingway was a Farewell to Arms, one of his you know,
- 47:10Speaker 2: famous ones, and I got about halfway through for Whom
- 47:15Speaker 2: the Bell Tolls and I was just like, why am
- 47:17Speaker 2: I forcing myself to finish this. I'm just I'm not
- 47:19Speaker 2: enjoying it. Look, I'm all about a brief writing style,
- 47:23Speaker 2: but the way he did it, it just seemed I don't.
- 47:27Speaker 2: I guess it's I guess like with Himingway, it's it's
- 47:30Speaker 2: either a love or a hate thing. I guess some
- 47:32Speaker 2: people love it, and that's fine if that's your jam. Cool,
- 47:36Speaker 2: But I will say the ending of Farewell to Arms
- 47:40Speaker 2: didn't expect that, So I give him props on that.
- 47:44Speaker 2: Do you want me to tell you or are you
- 47:45Speaker 2: worried about me spoiling a book that's almost one hundred
- 47:48Speaker 2: years old?
- 47:48Speaker 1: I think you're safe.
- 47:50Speaker 2: Okay. So he plays an ambulance driver in the First
- 47:55Speaker 2: World War, Okay, And he meets a woman and they
- 47:59Speaker 2: fall in love, and I believe they and it's I'm
- 48:04Speaker 2: thinking about the book now and I'm like, this is
- 48:06Speaker 2: so bad. But the ending is he meets this woman.
- 48:10Speaker 2: All right, He's met this woman and they end up
- 48:11Speaker 2: I think they end up getting married. She gets pregnant
- 48:14Speaker 2: and at the end of the movie, she and the
- 48:16Speaker 2: baby both die and that's the end of the book,
- 48:20Speaker 2: which honestly, I gave him a lot of credit for.
- 48:22Speaker 2: I was like, I did not see that coming. Props
- 48:24Speaker 2: to Ernest himming Away on the plot twist.
- 48:28Speaker 1: Now, I think i've that that sounds familiar, So I
- 48:31Speaker 1: don't know if maybe I I I don't think I
- 48:35Speaker 1: read that, but that that ending sounds very familiar. So
- 48:38Speaker 1: either you're not the first person to tell me that,
- 48:39Speaker 1: or I don't know.
- 48:41Speaker 2: Yeah, I also felt, you know, like at the end
- 48:43Speaker 2: of that Hemmingway novel where the wife and the baby
- 48:46Speaker 2: both die and I'm thinking, lucky bastards.
- 48:57Speaker 1: Do you feel restless and anxious? I feel like something's
- 49:00Speaker 1: missing in your life. Maybe you just need a little

- 49:28Speaker 2: Have you ever spotted cheese on a lady?
- 49:34Speaker 1: Huh?
- 49:36Speaker 2: It's probably the response I expected. I saw this on Reddit.
- 49:42Speaker 2: My boyfriend spotted cheese on me I'm so embarrassed, and
- 49:49Speaker 2: then she had to edit it.
- 49:52Speaker 1: Like you know, you say like thighs, like cottage cheese,
- 49:59Speaker 1: like you know, like.
- 50:01Speaker 2: Okay, She writes, my boyfriend spotted cheese on me. I'm
- 50:07Speaker 2: so embarrassed. Then she had to go back and make
- 50:11Speaker 2: an edit. She edits and says, sorry for calling it cheese. Lol,
- 50:15Speaker 2: I mean discharge. My boyfriend spotted discharge. English is not
- 50:20Speaker 2: my first language. She says. This happened yesterday. I promise
- 50:25Speaker 2: I am a very hygienic person and I take that
- 50:28Speaker 2: stuff seriously. Yesterday, however, I had to hurry through the shower.
- 50:33Speaker 2: Of course, I washed my private parts, but clearly not
- 50:36Speaker 2: well enough. In the late afternoon evening, things got hot
- 50:40Speaker 2: and heavy. My boyfriend went downtown. Everything was normal after
- 50:45Speaker 2: five minutes. I guess he got in there more and
- 50:50Speaker 2: she says that's when he stopped and said, you showered today, right?
- 50:54Speaker 2: She says, I swear my stomach dropped. I don't know why,
- 50:57Speaker 2: but I'm so scared of being perceived as dirty or
- 50:59Speaker 2: un hygienic. Anyways, I responded yes. His response, you got
- 51:05Speaker 2: some cheese. She goes on to say, I wanted to die.
- 51:14Speaker 1: He did did he say this as he is getting
- 51:17Speaker 1: dressed and leaving and running away, like.
- 51:21Speaker 2: As he's closing this running down the hall, you got
- 51:24Speaker 2: some cheese?
- 51:27Speaker 1: Hey?
- 51:27Speaker 2: Just well, it's either that or you grab a package. Yeah,
- 51:34Speaker 2: it's either that or you grab a package of rits.
- 51:37Speaker 2: Oh h. She says he couldn't. She says he said
- 51:44Speaker 2: he couldn't taste anything weird. But actually my tasted pretty neutral,
- 51:50Speaker 2: as he before has described a slightly acidic taste, and
- 51:54Speaker 2: he said it was a small amount. Nothing crazy. At
- 51:57Speaker 2: this point, I was one hundred percent sure that this
- 51:59Speaker 2: was a mood killer for him him, but no, it
- 52:01Speaker 2: actually wasn't. She says. He wiped it away and insisted
- 52:07Speaker 2: on wanting to keep going. So my boy did go
- 52:11Speaker 2: grab a package of ritz.
- 52:15Speaker 1: I don't know whether to say he's a better man
- 52:17Speaker 1: than me or obviously he has more intestinal fortitude, because
- 52:24Speaker 1: I at that point I would have to go, all right, babe,
- 52:29Speaker 1: don't have to resume this at another time. You go
- 52:32Speaker 1: get in a shower.
- 52:34Speaker 2: Huh. I think it's time that I need some space,
- 52:40Speaker 2: and I think it's time I see some other vaginas.
- 52:44Speaker 2: This is where and this is going to be crude
- 52:46Speaker 2: to some people, but the men are talking. Now, this
- 52:51Speaker 2: is where you need to take the produce test seriously.
- 52:55Speaker 2: Right when you're at the grocery store and you're squeezing
- 52:58Speaker 2: an avocado to see if it's ready, or your school
- 53:01Speaker 2: you're knocking on a melon to see if it's right.
- 53:04Speaker 2: You're doing all these things. If if you get down
- 53:08Speaker 2: there on your lady and it's growing something that is
- 53:13Speaker 2: not supposed to be there, don't eat it.
- 53:19Speaker 1: Yeah. If it looks like you know, something you saw
- 53:21Speaker 1: on a Tom and Jerry cartoon, walk away.
- 53:28Speaker 2: If this looks like something a chef might put on
- 53:30Speaker 2: top of an amuse boosh, get out of there. Oh
- 53:38Speaker 2: When if you open up a bag of bread and
- 53:40Speaker 2: it's moldy, you don't eat it, do you.
- 53:45Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 53:46Speaker 2: Also, if you get down there on your lady and
- 53:49Speaker 2: it smells like moldy bread, don't eat it.
- 53:52Speaker 1: Yeah. Or if it looks like it smells like moldy
- 53:55Speaker 1: cheese it's not a salad.
- 54:02Speaker 2: Treat it like taco bell lettuce, don't eat it. Oh
- 54:16Speaker 2: my god, it's amazing what people will share online. If
