- 1:56Speaker 1: is a very crazy story. If you have not heard
- 1:59Speaker 1: it yet, please go and check that out. It's a
- 2:03Speaker 1: new cult and it's one of the craziest cases I've

- 2:10Speaker 1: playlist under Sissian's, so be sure to check that out.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Now let's get into today. So the first case is
- 2:19Speaker 1: one that we have covered on True Crime and Wine
- 2:21Speaker 1: Time under the investigation into the disappearance of Chase Lackey.
- 2:26Speaker 1: We decided we needed to cover Chase's case on Midday
- 2:29Speaker 1: Missing as we do other missing person cases, even though
- 2:32Speaker 1: we are doing a special investigation into his disappearance. If
- 2:36Speaker 1: you're not familiar with his case, oh goodness, you guys.
- 2:39Speaker 1: There's so many details to Chase Chase's cases. It's a lot.
- 2:45Speaker 1: You can watch the episodes on our YouTube channel or
- 2:48Speaker 1: listen to your favorite podcast apps and you can find
- 2:51Speaker 1: more information about Chase there. But let's give a little
- 2:54Speaker 1: bit of information about Chase. Okay. So, Chase Alan Lackeye
- 3:00Speaker 1: was born on November twenty second, nineteen ninety one, in Houston, Texas,
- 3:05Speaker 1: to Craig and Debbie Lackey. He graduated from Crosby High School,
- 3:10Speaker 1: where he played varsity baseball and later became an iron worker,
- 3:14Speaker 1: a job he held until January twenty seventeen. Now, unbeknownst
- 3:19Speaker 1: to his family, losing that job marked the beginning of
- 3:23Speaker 1: a somewhat troubling chapter of his life. So on June thirtieth,
- 3:29Speaker 1: twenty seventeen, Chase's father saw him at a softball game
- 3:33Speaker 1: in Crosby, Texas. Chase seemed upbeat, giving no indication it
- 3:38Speaker 1: would be their last encounter. By July second, Chase's mother, Debbie,
- 3:44Speaker 1: she grew concerned when calls and texts went unanswered, his
- 3:49Speaker 1: phone was shut off, went straight to voicemail, and she
- 3:52Speaker 1: reached out to some of the other family members and
- 3:55Speaker 1: none of nobody heard from him, you know, so panic
- 3:59Speaker 1: started to to set in at that point. On July fourth,
- 4:04Speaker 1: Chase's sister and friends entered his locked apartment through the patio.
- 4:09Speaker 1: Chase and his dog, adorable dog Champ, were gone. A
- 4:16Speaker 1: neighbor reported seeing him the previous day helping someone load
- 4:20Speaker 1: a U haul. Another claimed to have seen him running
- 4:23Speaker 1: from his apartment on July first. Desperate for answers, the
- 4:29Speaker 1: family contact at hospitals, jails, and shelters and nothing at
- 4:35Speaker 1: all anywhere, So on July fifth, they reported him missing
- 4:39Speaker 1: to the Harris County Sheriff's office. Inside the apartment, police
- 4:44Speaker 1: found two phones, his driver's license, passport, truck, and his
- 4:50Speaker 1: personal belongings all left behind, which is not normal. The
- 4:57Speaker 1: apartment also contained a money counter, shipping boxes and small
- 5:01Speaker 1: quantities of marijuana and drug paraphernalia raised further questions so investigators.
- 5:09Speaker 1: Investigators learned that Chase had been associating with someone tied
- 5:13Speaker 1: to the California drug trade and had possibly worked on
- 5:17Speaker 1: a marijuana farm to make ends meet. While there were
- 5:21Speaker 1: records of multiple trips between Texas and California, no solid
- 5:27Speaker 1: evidence confirmed to his involvement, some friends recalled him, saying
- 5:32Speaker 1: he was in trouble and that he might lead town.
- 5:36Speaker 1: We have learned that case, Art, I'm sorry. We have
- 5:39Speaker 1: learned that Chase has two friends that were involved in
- 5:44Speaker 1: the drug business with him, and both of these friends
- 5:48Speaker 1: lied to police. I'm not going to go into those
- 5:51Speaker 1: details or a rant like our lovely terry True Crime Wood.
- 5:55Speaker 1: We'll say that for another time. So definitely be sure
- 5:58Speaker 1: you check out her rants from the previous UH investigation
- 6:02Speaker 1: because it's it's a doozy. But you guys, Chase's family
- 6:06Speaker 1: is still searching for answers and closure. You know, this
- 6:10Speaker 1: happened in twenty seventeen, so to do the math, you know,
- 6:14Speaker 1: that's that's seven years of wondering. So if you guys
- 6:18Speaker 1: have any information about Chase or his disappearance, please call
- 6:23Speaker 1: our anonymous tip line at five one two five two
- 6:28Speaker 1: two eight seven two four or email true Crime wine

- 6:38Speaker 1: Crime wine Time at gmail dot com. Please share our
- 6:43Speaker 1: posts about Chase. Someone out there knows something, okay, and
- 6:49Speaker 1: Chase's family deserves the truth. They've been waiting long enough.
- 6:56Speaker 1: So if you know of or have a loved one
- 7:02Speaker 1: who's missing and are interested in having their story featured

- 7:26Speaker 1: members on all the time and to hear their stories
- 7:29Speaker 1: and it's so impactful and it's one of my favorite
- 7:33Speaker 1: parts about this show. So please reach out. We're always
- 7:36Speaker 1: looking for new cases to investigate. Now, if you don't
- 7:40Speaker 1: mind me, I just have a quick stip of my
- 7:42Speaker 1: drink here. Okay, So, our next case is about Ian
- 7:49Speaker 1: Willcoxin Okay. So. Ian Willcoxen was born on February twenty second,
- 7:56Speaker 1: nineteen ninety two. He graduated from high school Conroe, Texas,
- 8:01Speaker 1: and proudly served in the United States Navy. It's a
- 8:05Speaker 1: really nice picture. He has beautiful eyes. Oh my goodness.
- 8:09Speaker 1: Ian split his time between Conroe and Boone, Colorado, a
- 8:13Speaker 1: small town in Pueblo County, before eventually relocating to Colorado
- 8:17Speaker 1: full time in the summer of twenty sixteen. After being
- 8:21Speaker 1: laid off, he soon found work on a marijuana farm. Now,
- 8:27Speaker 1: if you're thinking Ian's name sounds familiar, you are correct.
- 8:31Speaker 1: We covered Ian's case here on Midday Missing last June,
- 8:35Speaker 1: but wanted to cover it again today since we also
- 8:37Speaker 1: covered Chase's case here for the first time. As I
- 8:41Speaker 1: mentioned Chase's case, he is from Crow, Texas, which is
- 8:45Speaker 1: a stone's throwaway from Houston. I don't know. I'm not
- 8:48Speaker 1: from Texas, but it looks pretty darn close. And he
- 8:52Speaker 1: had also recently started working on marijuana farm. His was
- 8:56Speaker 1: in California. So Chase went missing in July of twenty seventeen.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Both Chase and Ian were young, fit, good looking men
- 9:08Speaker 1: with similar timelines and life circumstances. Okay, so Chase July
- 9:14Speaker 1: of twenty seventeen Remember that Ian was last seen in Boom, Colorado,
- 9:19Speaker 1: on the morning of January fourth, twenty seventeen. He was
- 9:23Speaker 1: scheduled to fly back to Texas that day, but the
- 9:26Speaker 1: flight was reportedly canceled due to weather. Here's the thing.
- 9:32Speaker 1: Weather in Houston that day was mild, a high of
- 9:35Speaker 1: fifty six fahrenheit low of forty nine, with nothing more
- 9:38Speaker 1: than a breeze. In Colorado Springs the nearest major airports
- 9:41Speaker 1: of Boom, conditions included light snow and temps hovering around
- 9:45Speaker 1: twenty seven degrees fahrenheit with winds up to sixteen miles
- 9:49Speaker 1: an hour. Not great, but not exactly a blizzard. The
- 9:54Speaker 1: best guess the inbound flight couldn't make it due to
- 9:57Speaker 1: weather somewhere else, not in the tw Texas or Colorado.
- 10:02Speaker 1: So what's especially concerning about this case is the lack
- 10:06Speaker 1: of clear details surrounding Ian's last new movements. There are
- 10:10Speaker 1: no publicly available reports stating whether he left for the
- 10:13Speaker 1: airport or who last saw him that morning. The only
- 10:19Speaker 1: items missing were what he would have had on him
- 10:22Speaker 1: was his clothes, phone, wallet, keys, and the gun. And
- 10:28Speaker 1: before anyone asked why he had a firearm, he was
- 10:31Speaker 1: a Texan a navy that and working on a marimana farm.
- 10:35Speaker 1: I mean it makes sense to me. And he's a
- 10:38Speaker 1: grown man. He can carry a gun if he wants to. Now,
- 10:40Speaker 1: Ian did text, I'm sorry, let me say that over.
- 10:44Speaker 1: Ian did text his landlord in Texas that staying morning,
- 10:47Speaker 1: saying he'd pay rent upon arrival. That final text was
- 10:51Speaker 1: sent around ten am. After that, his phone went dark
- 10:56Speaker 1: and reportedly stopped pinging later that night, likely due to
- 10:59Speaker 1: a dead batter. His vehicles and other personal belongings were
- 11:03Speaker 1: left behind. No authorities have found no signs of fout play,
- 11:08Speaker 1: and his residents no signs of a struggle, no indication
- 11:12Speaker 1: the home had been disturbed. One more twisted in this story,
- 11:18Speaker 1: Ian and Chase actually knew each other. Their phone records
- 11:22Speaker 1: show they had each other's contact info and had communicated.
- 11:27Speaker 1: How they met remains unclear. They could have crossed paths
- 11:30Speaker 1: in Houston through mutual friends or through the marijuana farm circuit.
- 11:35Speaker 1: We just don't know. What we do know is that
- 11:38Speaker 1: Ian's family is still searching for answers. They went nothing
- 11:42Speaker 1: more to bring him home. So you know, again, another
- 11:48Speaker 1: family struggling for answers. It's been eight years. I got
- 11:54Speaker 1: better at math because it's eight years for Chase too.
- 11:56Speaker 1: Now that I do, that's not my strong suit everybody,
- 12:00Speaker 1: But let's let's find both of these families and answers. Now.
- 12:03Speaker 1: If you have any any information at all about Ian's
- 12:08Speaker 1: disappearance or about his life around the time he went missing,
- 12:11Speaker 1: please contact the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office at seven one
- 12:15Speaker 1: nine five eight three six two five zero. You can
- 12:20Speaker 1: also leave an anonymous tip with crime Stoppers at seven
- 12:24Speaker 1: one nine five four to two stop. I don't know
- 12:28Speaker 1: what numbers make the words stop, but it's stop. At
- 12:33Speaker 1: the time he vanished, Ian was five to nine weighed
- 12:37Speaker 1: one hundred and fifty five pounds, and had blonde hair
- 12:40Speaker 1: and striking blue eyes. He also has a tattoo on
- 12:45Speaker 1: his upper right upper chest of an eagle above that
- 12:51Speaker 1: says Texas, along with a couple of others. For case
- 12:56Speaker 1: updates and to support the family search, follow the Facebook's
- 12:59Speaker 1: pay face book page Help find Ian Wilcoxon. Both of
- 13:04Speaker 1: these families. I can't imagine what it must be like
- 13:07Speaker 1: for them, but let's let's let's try to find something
- 13:10Speaker 1: for them. Something. Guys, the best thing you can do
