- 0:02You won't believe what the biggest Wall Street banks were
- 0:06planning over the weekend. While we were all distracted
- 0:09with Mother's Day with our family, the head of the American
- 0:14Banking Association sent an urgent private letter to all
- 0:18bank CE OS and in this private letter he is warning all of them
- 0:23to attack the Clarity Act before its markup on Thursday.
- 0:27So as we were covering last week in regards to the Clarity Act,
- 0:33things have fundamentally shifted like on a dime
- 0:37basically. I believe it was 2 weeks ago or
- 0:40two Fridays ago, we were still very unsure about what was going
- 0:44to happen with the Clarity Act. And then last Friday over the
- 0:48weekend, we got a very basically 180% shift on what was going to
- 0:56happen on the Clarity Act. We all heard it might be coming
- 0:59Monday. Now it's official, it is going
- 1:01to, or rather the Clarity Act markup is going to happen on
- 1:05Thursday with the Senate Banking Committee.
- 1:08So this Thursday we are going to see, or rather we, we will all
- 1:14be following along if the Clarity Act markup goes through.
- 1:17If that does happen, obviously that is a huge advancement on
- 1:23the Clarity Act. Now that's just, you know, the
- 1:26latest context of what is going on with the Clarity Act.
- 1:29And of course, a lot of us, especially me in particular, we
- 1:33have been very cynical on what is even in the Clarity Act,
- 1:36whether this is going to be good for Bitcoin.
- 1:38What is this going to do? Is this going to bring the
- 1:41regulatory clarity in quotes that we all expect?
- 1:44Will this even be good for the Bitcoin industry?
- 1:47Well, we will see Thursday exactly what is going to get
- 1:50pushed through. But since the date has been
- 1:54officially marked, the banks are in a full blown panic mode.
- 1:59They are last minute trying to stop this because of the whole
- 2:06contention we've been covering for weeks now in regards to the
- 2:09stable coin yield. And now since we have a markup
- 2:13date, they are literally doing whatever they can to stop this
- 2:18from happening. If the banks are panicking
- 2:21around the Clarity Act, you kind of love to see it.
- 2:25It's honestly making me a little more bullish on the Clarity Act.
- 2:28And I was trolling last week. Remember I was trolling about it
- 2:31because we saw Elizabeth Warren start freaking out about the
- 2:34Clarity Act and I was, I was like pretty much joking on the
- 2:38show. I'm like, this is this is
- 2:40starting to make me feel bullish about the clarity Act about what
- 2:42is going in in the clarity act. If they are starting to freak
- 2:45out, then maybe it'll be a lot better than we thought.
- 2:49Now, for everyone else, at least, the kind of reigning
- 2:53contention, kind of the leading narrative here is that once the
- 2:57Clarity Act goes through, obviously this is the Senate
- 3:00Banking Committee. They're going to do their
- 3:01markup. The Senate Agricultural
- 3:04Committee already did their markup.
- 3:06Now, once we get the Senate Banking Committee markup,
- 3:09they're basically going to combine this and then it's going
- 3:11to go to the president. It's going to get signed into
- 3:13law if the banks are freaking out about this.
- 3:17It kinda it kinda reminds me why we're here for Bitcoin anyways.
- 3:21Anyways, enough context here. Let me give you some context
- 3:25here cuz we got a very interesting quote coming out of
- 3:29Senator Bernie Marino and this is what he said in respond to
- 3:34the letter that I'm going to read for you.
- 3:37Here's Bitcoin Magazine quoting it and it goes American Bankers
- 3:41Association are desperately trying to stop the Bitcoin in
- 3:45crypto market structure Bill says Senator Bernie Moreno quote
- 3:49the banking cartel is in a full blown panic mode and are
- 3:53demanding bank CE OS to lobby senators and kill stable coins
- 3:57or rather kill the clarity act. So let me go into here he and
- 4:03and Senator Bernie Marino. He he goes on further in another
- 4:06statement basically saying he's I'm voting to break the banking
- 4:10cartel. So we're seeing sides being
- 4:14built here. OK, so let me pull in the full
- 4:18letter here. So what happened is the American
- 4:23Bankers Association CEO, Rob Nikos sent a letter yesterday to
- 4:27all banking CEOs. Hold on.
- 4:29Let me let me zoom in here for you guys and we will read a
- 4:33little bit of this. So to the American Bankers
- 4:35Association member bank CEOs, First off, happy Mother's Day to
- 4:39all the moms receiving this e-mail, and I am sorry to
- 4:42intrude on your Sunday man. Gotta love it, he said.
- 4:45I'm reaching out to make every bank leader in this country
- 4:48aware of an urgent advocacy fight that requires your
- 4:52immediate engagement. As you may be aware, the Senate
- 4:55Banking Committee has been working on digital asset
- 4:57legislation for several months, and late on Friday, the
- 5:00committee announced plans to quote markup and vote on the
- 5:03Clarity Act this Thursday. This coming Thursday, to be
- 5:07clear, we want Congress to put in place digital asset rules and
- 5:11establish responsible guardrails for the crypto industry.
- 5:14The current version of the legislation, although although
- 5:17improved from an earlier version, still does not
- 5:20adequately prevent crypto companies from offering interest
- 5:23like rewards on payment stable coins.
- 5:25Without additional changes, we believe the current proposal
- 5:28would unnecessarily incentivize the flight of bank deposits into
- 5:32payment stable coins, putting both economic growth and
- 5:37financial financial stability at risk.
- 5:41They they always do the same thing.
- 5:42It's it's our fault. It's the Bitcoin crypto
- 5:46industry's fault for the financial stability of the
- 5:50traditional financial system. You, you got to love the gas
- 5:53lighting. Anyways, going further, it goes.
- 5:56On Friday, we joined with other banking trade associations and
- 6:00sending a letter to committee members outlining our concerns
- 6:03and detailing specific changes needed to strengthen this
- 6:06section and protect the bank deposits that help drive the US
- 6:09economy. We need your help to drive this
- 6:12message home before Senators consider this legislation.
- 6:15Please join with fellow bankers across the nation at this
- 6:18critical moment by contacting your Senators and asking them to
- 6:22close this loophole before the bill moves forward.
- 6:25Please and clear encourage your employees to do the same.
- 6:31Wow. On Mother's Day, the National
- 6:34Banking Association is in full blown panic mode over the
- 6:40Clarity Act markup coming from the Senate Banking Committee on
- 6:43Thursday. It's absolutely incredible.
- 6:47They've literally been fighting the Clarity Act for months and
- 6:51now that we finally get a date, they do an all out attack to
- 6:55make sure that they are protected.
- 6:59The very banks that got a bailout in 2008, the very banks
- 7:04that are causing basically everything that we're dealing
- 7:07with now are afraid of stable coins.
- 7:11Now you know me, I'm not the biggest stable coin guy.
- 7:14I understand there is a use case for stable coins, but when you
- 7:18understand that traditional banking saving accounts is like
- 7:21what, a .38% interest on your savings and a stable coin is
- 7:27somewhere around 3 1/2 percent, it's obviously it's very obvious
- 7:34that the banks do not want competition.
- 7:36Instead of competing on the field, they're asking for a
- 7:43Moat. They're they're lobbying
- 7:45Congress to stop this because they know that they can't
- 7:48compete with this. Is this not is, is the irony
- 7:53just not gushing out here? Can we not all acknowledge the
- 7:56irony here? Now going further, I saw this
- 8:00updated quote here from Patrick Witt, of course, executive
- 8:05director, president, Council of advisors for digital Assets.
- 8:08And he goes, I specifically requested the attendance of Mr.
- 8:12Nichols and other bank trade at the meetings we hosted back in
- 8:15February to resolve the stable coin reward slash yield issue.
- 8:19They refused. I guess the White House was
- 8:22beneath them and their defense. I wouldn't want to have to
- 8:26defend their position in public either.
- 8:29We're we're, we're seeing, we're seeing the gloves come off
- 8:33because the Clarity Act markup is happening on Thursday.
- 8:39Now, obviously it doesn't necessarily mean it's going to
- 8:44get through. And this is where I'm going to
- 8:46bring up Eleanor Terrett's basically her breakdown of where
- 8:50we currently stand. OK, So again, you guys know
- 8:53Eleanor Terrett, Crypto America, I've been covering her work.
- 8:56She's been doing very good work in Washington, DC, covering all
- 9:00of the stuff coming out, covering what's happening with
- 9:02the Clarity Act. So to me, she's probably the
- 9:05best source to fully understand what is going on with the
- 9:09Clarity Act. And here is what she posted this
- 9:12morning. And she goes take 2.
- 9:14The Clarity Act heads to markup in Senate Banking ahead of
- 9:18Thursday's pivotal vote. Last minute preparations are
- 9:21being made, though a big question remains, will Democrats
- 9:25support it? So going down, let's read a
- 9:28little bit of it. It's a pivotal week for US
- 9:30crypto policy. The Senate Banking Committee has
- 9:33officially scheduled the long-awaited markup for the
- 9:35Clarity Act, the next step toward passing comprehensive
- 9:38crypto market structure legislation into law.
- 9:41As Crypto and Americas reported last week, Senate Banking
- 9:44Chairman Tim Scott announced the markup on Friday evening,
- 9:48scheduling it for this Thursday. According to a committee memo,
- 9:53the final legislative text is expected to be released later
- 9:56today. So at least we'll get to see
- 9:58what's in it today. And senators must submit any
- 10:01amendments before close of business tomorrow.
- 10:04It's nearly four months to the day since the first Senate
- 10:07Banking markup was scrapped over 11th hour objection from
- 10:10industry leaders, chiefly, of course, Coinbase.
- 10:13We covered all of that. Now it seems like we're we're
- 10:16might be in the same scenario just coming from the Banking
- 10:19Committee here. So anyways, of course we all
- 10:22know Brian Armstrong basically said the bill deferred too much
- 10:25to banks and could effectively kill stable corn reward programs
- 10:28for consumers. Now in the 11th hour, we're
- 10:32seeing from the banks, they're basically saying the same thing.
- 10:36If the stable corn rewards goes through that we're, I don't
- 10:42know, you know, going to kill the entire banking system.
- 10:47We're going to kill savings accounts.
- 10:49We we're going to risk the entire traditional financial
- 10:54stability because of this rewards.
- 10:57It's it's insane. Anyways, Coinbase executives now
- 11:00appear content with where talks have landed following months of
- 11:04tense negotiations between crypto and banking lobbyists
- 11:06trade groups the White House Senate staffers as well as lead
- 11:09negotiators. But certain factions of the
- 11:11banking sector, particularly those with consumer facing arms
- 11:14are still mounting a last minute stand to revise the stable coin
- 11:18yield deal ahead of Thursday's planned markup.
- 11:20Banking trade group representing some of those institutions
- 11:23again, as I showed you sent a Senate Banking leadership a
- 11:26letter to Senate Banking leadership on Friday arguing the
- 11:29current compromised language still leaves room for reward
- 11:32programs that could replicate yield.
- 11:37It's all on, it's all in the details, right?
- 11:39It's all in the stable coin yield.
- 11:42Again, remember, I could have swore that the genius Act was
- 11:47entirely based around stable coins and I could have swore
- 11:52that the clarity Act was for the broader Bitcoin crypto digital
- 11:56asset sector. And yet it seems like
- 12:00stablecoins are the biggest concern in the Clarity Act,
- 12:02which for many of us, I thought was already settled.
- 12:05I thought we already settled that a long time ago.
- 12:08Now this seems to be the huge contention.
- 12:12This is the one thing that's been stopping it.
- 12:14So either the bank executives didn't read what was in the
- 12:18Genius Act, or maybe they didn't feel concerned, or maybe they
- 12:22felt that in hindsight they could fix what they didn't like.
- 12:28Now it seems like it's all coming to a head.
- 12:30It seems like this is the final battle.
- 12:33And further, from what I've been reporting on the show and from
- 12:36what I could see, I thought we had gotten this all figured out.
- 12:41So I guess now that we have a markup date, full blown panic is
- 12:47happening from the banks, especially these consumer facing
- 12:50banks. But who knows, right?
- 12:53You know, maybe, maybe it's maybe this is just for the
- 12:57benefit, you know, protection of the customer.
- 12:59Maybe this is for you. Maybe they're fighting for you.
- 13:03I highly, I highly doubt it. Anyways, let me read a little
- 13:07more quotes here. Quote.
- 13:10We believe that committee members may not be fully aware
- 13:12of the risk to the economy posed by the stablecoin loophole.
- 13:15Your immediate engagement can make a difference going further,
- 13:20and this is probably the key point here for what we're going
- 13:25to see happen on Thursday is where is this?
- 13:30Here we go. So the good news for the crypto
- 13:32industry in the banks that want to finally get access to crypto
- 13:35is that the bill can still advance out of committee on a
- 13:37partisan vote. But opinions are mixed on
- 13:40whether that may ultimately weaken its chances in the full
- 13:43Senate. Some like Alex Orange shouts to
- 13:45Alex Thorn of a Galaxy digital bitcoiner.
- 13:49Awesome dude. Believe a strictly GOP committee
- 13:52vote could make it hard in order to secure the Democratic support
- 13:54needed to reach the 60 vote threshold on the floor.
- 13:57Quote While it's possible the bill could still succeed if it
- 14:00advances through Senate Banking on a partisan basis, the odds of
- 14:03ultimate Senate passage are certainly diminished if no
- 14:06Democrats vote in favor during committee markup on Thursday.
- 14:09Others are less concerned, arguing the remaining issues can
- 14:12be worked out before the legislation reaches the Senate.
- 14:15Quote. There's been a lot of pessimists
- 14:17throughout this process at every stage.
- 14:19This bill would be dead by now if there wasn't bipartisan will
- 14:22to get get it done. Every outstanding issue is very
- 14:25surmountable so long as that will remains.
- 14:29So let's see what happens on Thursday.
- 14:31All right, guys. So this is the latest update on
- 14:34the Clarity Act. Now what is interesting is as
- 14:39you guys know, we have been covering what Senator Lummis has
- 14:43been saying and she's been very vocal on the idea that there is
- 14:46bipartisan support. And I think that last quote
- 14:49really does highlight the fact that if there wasn't bipartisan
- 14:52support for this, it probably would have been dead a long time
- 14:55ago. Now with that being said, as you
- 14:58guys know, I have been very pessimist.
- 15:00I've been pessimistic fields in regards to the Clarity Act
- 15:03actually going through because it's been getting getting
- 15:06delayed. Like I thought we were going to
- 15:08get this in January, right? It seemed like they just tried
- 15:12to kick the can down the road and run out the clock.
- 15:16And yet we finally got a date. So I think it does show that
- 15:21there is a will to get this pushed.
- 15:23As we all know, President Trump is very vocal about the fact
- 15:27that he wants to get the Clarity Act passed.
- 15:29He's been very vocal on the idea that the US is going to be the
- 15:33superpower of the world in terms of Bitcoin or crypto.
- 15:37And so I think a lot of the political pressure coming from
- 15:40the Trump administration has obviously gotten everyone to be
- 15:46like, OK, we we got to get this through though.
- 15:48As you know, there is a very strong biased against anything
- 15:52Trump does from the Democratic Party.
- 15:54But there has been some dissenting views from the
- 15:57Democrats. Again, it's not a monolithic
- 16:00entity. They, they don't all get the
- 16:03same marching orders, or rather they don't all follow the
- 16:06marching orders is probably a better way of saying this.
- 16:11But we do know that there are a lot of people that, you know, in
- 16:16spite of Trump, basically vote against anything that the Trump
- 16:19administration wants to do. With that being said, again, we
- 16:25got the Senate Agricultural Committee's markup that went
- 16:29through. Now we're going to see what
- 16:32happens on Thursday with the Senate Banking Committee.
- 16:35If they vote on it and that goes through then from my
- 16:40understanding they will combine the 2 that will try to get a
- 16:44full Senate vote. If that happens, then Trump will
- 16:48sign it into law and we'll see if the capital comes off the
- 16:53sideline and starts to pump the Bitcoin price.
- 16:57That is kind of the prevailing narrative right now that
- 17:00essentially the institutions, the banks, the retail
- 17:04institutional investor may be the person that isn't fully
- 17:08orange pilled, fully convinced a Bitcoin or rather maybe a little
- 17:12or uncertain about what this Bitcoin thing or crypto digital
- 17:16assets industry is going to do are waiting for the regulatory
- 17:20clarity before they can actually deploy their capital.
- 17:23Now, of course, this isn't just a narrative trench warfare game.
- 17:29There is some legal, some legalities here that obviously
- 17:33once the clarity Act goes through, they will finally be
- 17:36able to get their capital into Bitcoin.
- 17:37So that's the latest update. Now to give you a little more of
- 17:42an update, obviously we have been covering the Poly market
- 17:46odds. Now we did see some very
- 17:48interesting stuff happen over the weekend in regards to the
- 17:50Poly market odds to the Betty markets and we covered it a
- 17:53little bit on Friday. It rose as high as 71, obviously
- 17:58what it was at like 40% last month.
- 18:01A few weeks ago it rose to about 69%.
- 18:06It got as high as 71 I believe and then it almost hit 75%
- 18:11chance of passing over the weekend until Sunday.
- 18:15And now we are currently at a 65% chance that it goes through
- 18:19at least again according to the betting odds.
- 18:21Now, I they don't put too much weight in the betting odds, but
- 18:26it does, it does show you where a lot of people's heads are at.
- 18:30So it is oh wait, sorry, I didn't pull it up.
- 18:33It does show you kind of what the prevailing narrative is.
- 18:36Again, it got as high as almost 75% over the weekend.
- 18:39And then the news broke that the banking association is panicking
- 18:45in regards to the Clarity Act passing.
- 18:47They they are doing a full blown full court press lobbying
- 18:52against Congress to try to get what they want in the clarity
- 18:57act. So look, I am I it I'm almost
- 19:02sounding giddy right now like I'm I'm hearing myself in my
- 19:05headphones and it seems like I I'm getting excited.
- 19:08Also, I might have drinking a little too much coffee this
- 19:11morning. Guys.
- 19:11I was like low key jittery before the show, but I don't
- 19:15know if I'm giddy because this story or is it just too much
- 19:18caffeine. But it does show to me.
- 19:22And I know this has been one of the biggest conversations
- 19:25amongst Bitcoiners for a long time.
- 19:28It's like, has Bitcoin lost the revolutionary spirit?
- 19:31Are we applauding our own demise here by embracing institution,
- 19:38by embracing politics? Potentially.
- 19:43But when I see stuff like this, it really, it really starts to
- 19:48get me excited when I see the banks and institution start to
- 19:52panic. I, I, I think I get a, a fire
- 19:56inside of me and I, and I start to be remembered of why I love
- 20:00Bitcoin so much. Now obviously in context of this
- 20:05story, this is obviously wholly based on stable coins now.
- 20:14I I think I've may have matured on my view in stable coins and
- 20:18you guys could call me whatever you want in the chat.
- 20:21I don't hold stable coins. I don't recommend anyone hold
- 20:24stable coins. It doesn't make sense to me.
- 20:26Why would you want anything stable connected to the dollar,
- 20:30peg to the dollar when your dollar is losing purchasing
- 20:34power every year? To me, it makes no sense.
- 20:36Like, I mean, it makes sense why I, I like, I understand why
- 20:41people want to hold them. Maybe, you know, they're afraid
- 20:44of the Bitcoin volatility and maybe they haven't studied
- 20:47enough and they don't understand what Bitcoin's gonna do for the
- 20:50world. I get it.
- 20:51People want to peg, say, or rather maybe maybe store their
- 20:55wealth in dollars because they are so used to it.
- 20:59But what we are seeing is that stable coin usage is going
- 21:05global. And we have seen the Trump
- 21:08administration push stable coins very, very hard because I think
- 21:12they understand what all of us here at Simply Bitcoin
- 21:17understand. What our friend Mark Goodwin has
- 21:19been writing about the Bitcoin dollar thesis where stable coins
- 21:23are basically EU s s buyer of last resort for treasury.
- 21:29While the world potentially doesn't want to buy treasuries,
- 21:33they know they have a very strong buyer with stablecoins.
- 21:39Hence why the Stablecoin Genius Act came in first, because
- 21:43there's a whole new interest for treasuries with stablecoins.
- 21:49That's how they pegged to the dollar.
- 21:51Now what I am seeing though, and what is very interesting is one,
- 21:59of course, a lot of people want to use stablecoins around the
- 22:02world. A lot of people have very bad
- 22:04currencies and they want to be able to get into the dollar
- 22:08system. The way the dollar set up right
- 22:11now, the dollar can't go everywhere around the world, but
- 22:13a stablecoin sure can. And a lot of people would rather
- 22:16have the dollar versus their local currencies.
- 22:19Obviously, personally, I don't recommend that I, I, I would say
- 22:24just buy Bitcoin. But again, people are a little
- 22:27afraid of the volatility. Now what is interesting though,
- 22:31is this does seem like a Trojan horse scenario in my opinion.
- 22:40It does seem like let me let me pull back Amongst Bitcoiners,
- 22:46there has been a very strong meme, one of my favorite memes
- 22:52where yes, I am an anti altcoin, anti shit coiner.
- 22:56I, I don't think you should be holding shit coins.
- 22:59I, I think they're most of them are hot garbage.
- 23:01Most of them are going to 0, but rather basically all of them.
- 23:05I mean, some can stay around longer than others.
- 23:08But one of the ideas, and I forget who said it, but one of
- 23:12my friends or favorite Bitcoiners have said for a long
- 23:15time it might have been like Mr. Huddle.
- 23:18I forget it was basically the only use case for shit coins for
- 23:24alt coins is to distract the politicians and the lawmakers.
- 23:30Because while they're so distracted attacking these
- 23:33shapes, shit coins, while they're so distracted by trying
- 23:36to stop the stable coins and alt coins, Bitcoin is able to get
- 23:41through the door. And what we're seeing here is
- 23:45that the banking industry is very concerned about stable coin
- 23:50deposits, about stable coin interest, stable coin rewards,
- 23:53because they know that they're going to have to compete now
- 23:57that you can get a better return if you just save in stable coins
- 24:00versus keeping your dollars in a savings account.
- 24:04Now if we can get the Clarity Act through the door and if the
- 24:09crypto industry in quotes can get the stable coin rewards or
- 24:15interests, however they want to frame it through the door and
- 24:19this does pass at least beneficial to the whole
- 24:22industry. They're going to be so focused
- 24:25on trying to stop the stable coin usage.
- 24:27They're going to they're going to do everything to try to stop
- 24:29people from saving in stable coins that I think this is going
- 24:33to backfire. It's going to Streisand effect
- 24:35so hard that people are going to start using Bitcoin, bitcoins
- 24:38through the door. Clarity acts through capital is
- 24:41going to flow to Bitcoin numbers going to start going up.
- 24:44The positive feedback loop plays out.
- 24:48I don't know guys. I, I think I am now very excited
- 24:53to see what is coming through the clarity act.
- 24:56I, I am, you know me. I have been saying for weeks
- 25:02now, I'm very bearish on the Clarity Act.
- 25:05I don't even know what's in it. It's probably not going to be
- 25:08good, but when I see signs like Elizabeth Warren, the National
- 25:14Banking Association start to freak out about it.
- 25:18They're starting to get scared, in a full blown panic mode.
- 25:21It's Mother's Day and he's sending private letters to all
- 25:23the bank CE OS saying hey, we have to stop this or else like
- 25:28we are. He's basically saying we are
- 25:30screwed if we don't stop this. If we don't lobby and try to get
- 25:35what we want, we are absolutely screwed.
- 25:38Obviously, he said a little more professionally than I did.
- 25:43This is the stuff that I'm like, Oh yes, I forgot.
- 25:47I forgot what it felt like. I forgot what it felt like to to
- 25:51put it to the man again. I forgot what it felt like to
- 25:56have that revolutionary spirit again and yell and yell.
- 25:59And though this is in regards to, you know, politics, which is
- 26:04probably the most interesting thing to me.
- 26:06It's like, look, we are seeing even though Bitcoin is being
- 26:10embraced by politicians, we're seeing at the same time that
- 26:14maybe that this is going to be a big maybe, Maybe there is again
- 26:21the Trojan horse idea happening while we see some politicians
- 26:24are pushing for freedom money. Maybe it's not perfect, but
- 26:29maybe all we need is just to get our foot through the door and
- 26:33the rest will take care of itself.
- 26:36What's the old saying? You know, I, I never really
- 26:40liked this one because it it kind of made Bitcoin seem bad.
- 26:43Like Bitcoin is the virus, Bitcoin is the cure.
- 26:50I forget how they would say Bitcoin is the cure to the virus
- 26:52or Bitcoin. Bitcoin will catch on like a
- 26:55virus. And I always said no, but like
- 26:56Bitcoin is the cure. It's not the virus, but it is
- 27:00acting pretty viral right now. If we get Bitcoin through the
- 27:04system through the door and they have no choice but to let their
- 27:09customers use Bitcoin, they have no choice but for themselves to
- 27:12invest in Bitcoin. This might be end game stuff.
- 27:18Now obviously the end game is going to take a long time.
- 27:20This isn't going to be, this isn't going to be a quick W, but
- 27:24this does feel like what winning would look like.
- 27:28Remember, I've been joking. Actually, we've been joking on
- 27:30this show for a minute. I think every one of our content
- 27:32creators has been joking on the idea that if Kamala Harris had
- 27:36won, they would be fighting us and we would be at a much higher
- 27:39price. And then Trump came in, he
- 27:42embraced Bitcoin, and it's been a little lackluster.
- 27:46Now we're seeing the bank, even though the banks are still
- 27:48embracing Bitcoin and they want to offer Bitcoin products.
- 27:55I'm, I'm really liking the fact that the banks are scared of
- 27:59Bitcoin full blown panic mode of it's really more afraid of
- 28:02stable coins, which to me it's like, OK, you're, you're afraid
- 28:06of the little. It's like that one, you know,
- 28:08that one fish, it's got like the crazy teeth and it's got like
- 28:11the little light in front of it. It's like the light is the
- 28:14stable coin and bitcoins behind it.
- 28:17You know, from Finding Nemo, you guys, you guys know the Finding
- 28:19Nemo scene. This is kind of how I'm starting
- 28:24to see this. The banks are so focused on
- 28:27stablecoins that at this point they're probably either of no
- 28:32concern to Bitcoin or they really, they think stablecoins
- 28:36are the real threat. It's honestly so sweet.
- 28:42It's it's honestly, it's happening exactly as we've been
- 28:47saying for a long time, that the only use case for shitcoins is
- 28:52to distract everyone out there while Bitcoin gets through the
- 28:57door. It's beautiful.
- 29:00It's it's absolutely beautiful. You guys can call me a stable
- 29:05coin Maxi now. It's fine.
- 29:07I I'll take the heat, I'll take the tomatoes, but I absolutely
- 29:11love this. If the clarity act and we'll
- 29:14cover this, I think we'll see the vote on Thursday.
- 29:19So maybe Friday we will cover exactly what happened.
- 29:25I'm guessing it won't happen before the show goes live on
- 29:30Thursday. So I'm guessing Friday I will be
- 29:33able to give you an update unless it's like a breaking news
- 29:36somewhere through the show. And I, and I get you guys, you
- 29:38know the story literally live and breaking.
- 29:42But we'll come back to this by the end of the week and we will
- 29:47have some definitive information in regardings to the Clarity
- 29:52Act. I know a lot of people in the
- 29:54chat are doing the Clarity Act is really the murky act.
- 29:59I, I kind of agree with you, but we will have more clarity on the
- 30:03Clarity Act by the end of the week.
- 30:06And I'm sure things will heat up in the next few days in regards
- 30:10to what is in the Clarity Act, how the banking association is
- 30:13going to respond to this, what the quote crypto bit Bitcoin
- 30:17digital assets industry does in response to that.
- 30:22It is a very interesting week for Bitcoin in terms of policy
- 30:26here. And I know last week I was kind
- 30:29of joking when Nico, he's like, there's never a dull day in
- 30:31Bitcoin. And I'm like, bro, some days are
- 30:33some days are a little slower than others.
- 30:38Today is not the day. This is very interesting.
- 30:41All right, I'm I'm I can't wait to watch what happens.
- 30:43ANYWAYS, guys, I just realized I've been ranting solo for 30
- 30:47minutes on this topic. Nico's not here today.
- 30:49He's busy dude, he's banning. Anyways, I do have some updates
- 30:54for you. I actually have a clip from the
- 30:57CEO of Rhino app and I think in context of what I'm talking
- 31:02about with the banks, this was at the Bitcoin conference.
- 31:05I think it was one of the side stages 'cause I, I didn't see
- 31:07this going around, but I really like the clip.
- 31:09It, it is a little longer, but it's a good clip and, and I
- 31:13think it's worth watching. And then I also have another
- 31:19update on Sailor. Sailor has been really doubling
- 31:24down on the Never sell your Bitcoin drama and he was on the
- 31:33Wolf of All St. podcast and he clarified again, he's been, he's
- 31:38been clarifying since that really got him into hot water
- 31:43last week. So we're going to play that.
- 31:46And then guys, I, I'm, I'm going to do my best to lay out why I
- 31:55think diminishing returns is bananas.
- 31:58I why I think it's garbage. That's going to be the show for
- 32:01the culture we're seeing. Some crazy stuff happened in the
- 32:04stock market guys. And I think most people's view
- 32:09of big number market cap means big number returns are off the
- 32:13table. I completely think that is wrong
- 32:17and I'll lay that out towards the end of the show.
- 32:19Anyways, first commercial break. I'll be right back.
- 32:24Today's episode is brought to you by Bitcoin Well Infinite.
- 32:27If you're a serious Bitcoin buyer, you've probably hit the
- 32:30same wall. Most platforms make you give up
- 32:33custody just to play by the rules.
- 32:35Bitcoin Well Infinite fixes that.
- 32:37They're North America's only publicly traded, non custodial
- 32:41OTC desk listed on the TSX Venture Exchange, which means
- 32:46transparent operations and 0 counterparty risk.
- 32:50You buy Bitcoin, you take immediate control period for
- 32:54trades over $50,000, you get a dedicated executive Bitcoin
- 32:58advisor, competitive spread starting at 1%, and immediate
- 33:02delivery straight to your own wallet.
- 33:04No custody risk, no withdrawal fees, just institutional grade
- 33:09execution with full asset control.
- 33:11If you want to buy Bitcoin the right way, book a free
- 33:14consultation at bitcoinwell.com/OTC or e-mail
- 33:19infinite@bitcoinwell.com. I want to give a shout out to
- 33:23our partner stamp seed. Is your Bitcoin and cold storage
- 33:26really secure? Are your seed phrases really
- 33:29secure? Stamp seeds do it yourself kit
- 33:31has everything you'll need for you to hammer your seed words
- 33:34into commercial grade titanium plates instead of just writing
- 33:38them down on paper. Paper is fragile.
- 33:41Titanium plates are strong. Your words are actually stamped
- 33:45into the titanium plate with this hammer and these letter
- 33:49stamping tools. Once the words are in, they
- 33:52aren't going anywhere. No risk of the plate breaking
- 33:55apart and pieces falling everywhere.
- 33:58Titanium stamp seeds will survive nearly triple the heat
- 34:01produced by a house fire. They're also crush proof,
- 34:04waterproof, non corrosive, and time proof.
- 34:07And now you can customize your titanium seed plates.
- 34:11You can upload your design or logo and they will laser engrave
- 34:16it on the back of your seed plate, the opposite side of
- 34:19where the words are. Stamp your seed on stamps and
- 34:23use promo code simply to get 15% off anything on the
- 34:27stampseed.com store. OK, hold on.
- 34:41OK, All right. Don't know what's going on with
- 34:44our streaming software, but hey, I'm here.
- 34:46I'm here. OK, The current Bitcoin price
- 34:49is, let me actually let's let's refresh this.
- 34:52OK, $81,610 per Bitcoin. I don't know if you guys are
- 34:57watching the price action, but it's pretty interesting.
- 35:01We got as high as 82 again, it did, it did get rejected from
- 35:07that resistance level that I was telling you about roughly around
- 35:1182 K. So the next few days, this next
- 35:14week's going to be interesting. I know a lot of people are, are
- 35:17waiting for the drop. Everyone thinks that we're going
- 35:19to break out of the 70 K range. You know, we're we're we're
- 35:23getting to that point where yes, if we do get rejected again off
- 35:27that 82 K range, could be in free fall for a little bit.
- 35:32But I'm of the opposite opinion. I think we're getting to the
- 35:36point where we might breakthrough that range.
- 35:38And I said it to my boy Sal this morning at the gym.
- 35:42I'm like, I don't know I'm I'm kind of feeling 85K by the end
- 35:46of the week. But what do I know?
- 35:49I just you know, I'm just getting I'm just getting the
- 35:51tickle here. I'm just, I'm just, I'm just
- 35:54spitballing here. Anyways, the discount from all
- 35:57time high is currently 35.3%. The market cap is 1.63 trillion
- 36:02and the block hike currently Tiktok and Xbox is 948,971.
- 36:12So as I was saying, there is a very strong correlation and
- 36:21maybe it's because of US American Bitcoiners.
- 36:24You know, we we all, we all pine for the glory days here.
- 36:28You know, we, we love the Make America Great again.
- 36:31We may not love Trump, but we love the idea of Bitcoin being
- 36:35American ideals instilled in cyberspace, the pursuit of
- 36:42happiness, property, all that good stuff.
- 36:47I saw this clip. It is a little long, so forgive
- 36:50me. The audio is a little weird, but
- 36:53shouts out the rhino app because or Rhino Bitcoin because I
- 36:58absolutely love this. I, you know, maybe this is this
- 37:02is my American centrist, Americanism, American centrist.
- 37:10Wow, I can't speak today. Anyways, here is them tweeting
- 37:13and this is kind of what got my, my attention.
- 37:16On it goes our CEO Hector Alvaro received a roaring ovation at
- 37:19Bitcoin 2026 for this powerful 3 minute explanation of why Fiat
- 37:24money is the theft of hope. Bitcoin protects your wealth.
- 37:29OK, so I'm going to just play it.
- 37:30I think it's powerful. I think it it is inspirational.
- 37:34And I think in the context of the banking industry attacking
- 37:39Bitcoin stable coins just shows like how far, how far we've
- 37:45really come here, how far we have fallen.
- 37:48But Bitcoin will restore the world back to something that
- 37:55will, in my opinion, improve all of our lives.
- 37:57So here we go. It is a little long, forgive me,
- 38:00but I think it's worth a listen. So speaking to your question
- 38:04around sort of like a moral underpinnings of of Bitcoin and
- 38:07maybe the lack thereof of our Fiat monetary system.
- 38:10When I when I started to think about this topic, my mind, for
- 38:14whatever reason, went to Thomas Jefferson and specifically the
- 38:18last of the inalienable rights that he enshrined in the
- 38:21Declaration of Independence, right?
- 38:23We all know the one right, life, liberty, and the pursuit of
- 38:27happiness, right? And we think of those words
- 38:30usually in historical or in political discussions, but I
- 38:34would submit that they are equally as important in
- 38:36conversations about money. And here's why.
- 38:39It's because money does a lot more than just represent value,
- 38:42right? It shapes our belief about
- 38:45whether or not we think that the work we do today, it's going to
- 38:48help us build a better tomorrow. And in order to understand why
- 38:51that is, we need to talk for a minute about property, which is
- 38:54ironically the exact word that Jefferson set aside from the
- 38:59Magna Carta in order to put the pursuit of happiness into the
- 39:02declaration. Right?
- 39:04So The thing is, most property represents the past.
- 39:08It reflects what somebody decided was the best thing they
- 39:11could try their time and energy for in a given moment.
- 39:14So whether that's a house, a car, a vacation, these are all
- 39:17the choices you've already made. But money is different.
- 39:21Money represents the future. It's the bridge between the work
- 39:25you've already done and the life you hope to build, right?
- 39:29Whether that's a business, a family, a dignified retirement.
- 39:35Property represents happiness already chosen.
- 39:38But money actually enables the pursuit of the happiness still
- 39:42to come. And that's why I think that our
- 39:45current Fiat monetary system is so unethical.
- 39:49Because when a privileged few can create money, it will
- 39:52without any effort. It hurts our society in a much
- 39:57deeper way than just degrading everybody's purchasing power.
- 40:00And that's because it increases the distance between effort and
- 40:05reward. It tells people little by little
- 40:09that discipline doesn't matter, that patience doesn't matter.
- 40:13That saving doesn't matter, hope that the future doesn't matter.
- 40:17And when people stop thinking that their efforts matter, they
- 40:21eventually give up on the pursuit entirely.
- 40:24So Fiat money, in my opinion, is a theft of hope.
- 40:28And we see that in our society all around us, whether that's
- 40:32record levels of substance abuse, whether it's deaths of
- 40:35despair, or whether it's been on the weather in Paris.
- 40:38When people stop believing that tomorrow's going to be better
- 40:41than today, that's when they start looking for shortcuts, for
- 40:44escapism, or for hoping for lucky breaks instead.
- 40:47And that is why Bitcoin matters. Because by offering them money
- 40:52whose supply can't be manipulated, whose rules are
- 40:55transparent and that insiders don't have privileged access to,
- 40:59Bitcoin can restore that hope. And so Bitcoin protects not just
- 41:02purchasing power. Bitcoin protects the pursuit of
- 41:05happiness itself. Bars, bars just to add again and
- 41:15and circle back to the beginning when a select few can stop.
- 41:25Legislation to ensure that you can own Bitcoin or a stable coin
- 41:30if you so choose. It really starts to highlight
- 41:34what exactly is going on in the system and who exactly is the
- 41:38masters of the Fiat system. Again, remember what that
- 41:42Banking Committee letter said or the National Banking Association
- 41:47letter said that stablecoins, which is absolutely insane, but
- 41:51what will broaden this Bitcoin or crypto digital assets are a
- 41:57threat to the growth of the system and the financial
- 42:01stability of the system. It's just absolutely crazy what
- 42:05we're seeing it. It's just it really starts to
- 42:07highlight what is going on in the world.
- 42:10How the maybe, and I hate to use this framing because it does
- 42:15kind of lean into more of the far leftist ideology.
- 42:22But when you start to see who controls the money, you start to
- 42:27see who controls the system, you do start to see who your real
- 42:33masters are and what they think of you.
- 42:37They don't think you should have free choice.
- 42:40They don't think that you're smart enough to make the right
- 42:43choice. They think they have to protect
- 42:44you from it. They essentially want to keep
- 42:48you in perpetual peasantry enslavement forever because they
- 42:53have their Moat, they have their power, they have their money,
- 42:58and they don't want to give you any of the crumbs.
- 43:00They're happy with the status quo and when something comes to
- 43:03change that, they obviously will fight it.
- 43:10Now we've talked about this a lot of times on the show that we
- 43:15truly believe Bitcoin is free to money.
- 43:17This is why everyone should hold some, or rather anyone can hold
- 43:22some. And we highly recommend to our
- 43:24friends and family that you should probably hold a little
- 43:27bit. What is super interesting to me
- 43:31is in the current moment that we're in, we are starting to see
- 43:36a proliferation of Bitcoin as this hedge to inflation, this
- 43:42exit route, this self protection money as much as it is freedom
- 43:48money. And we are starting to see that
- 43:50it's cashing on. And so when I hear stuff like
- 43:53this, and I completely miss this the first time around, So shouts
- 43:56out to Rhino Bitcoin for posting this because I, I think it's a
- 43:59powerful message that we do constantly need to reiterate to
- 44:03ourselves. We've brought up these
- 44:05conversations on this show for many years and on many different
- 44:09shows. And are you guys you're
- 44:12hopefully you're not hearing some background noise.
- 44:15It should be the last day of construction over here.
- 44:19But this is the energy that I, I constantly have to remind myself
- 44:24of what we're doing, especially in the context of the show where
- 44:27I, I have to cover the news for you guys every single day.
- 44:30And some of the stuff on the news, you know, is, is maybe I'm
- 44:34not ideologically aligned with, again, I don't really care about
- 44:39ETFs. I, I'm watching the inflows
- 44:41because it's showing us what the institutions are doing.
- 44:44I don't really care about the banks embracing Bitcoin.
- 44:47I'm watching what the banks are doing because it is a
- 44:50development on where Bitcoin currently is.
- 44:53I want to see more people using Bitcoin.
- 44:56But if I did a show on Bitcoin adoption in Africa or something,
- 44:59you guys wouldn't watch the show.
- 45:01So I gotta put a show out and I sneak that in so you guys can
- 45:05see that in every sector of Bitcoin we are expanding.
- 45:10Not only is Bitcoin now in Washington DC, it's on Wall
- 45:14Street, it's in every corner of the world.
- 45:17Yes, stable coins, maybe you're not the biggest fan of, but
- 45:21people are using them. People are using quote digital
- 45:23currencies. So they are becoming a little
- 45:27more open to the idea of using Bitcoin.
- 45:33We are totally in the Bitcoin going mainstream.
- 45:37The early majority I I think in hindsight we will look back at
- 45:422026 and beyond and it's going to be very clear that this is
- 45:46that final jump into completely changing the world into
- 45:51completely going into the mainstream.
- 45:53And as Bitcoin goes higher, it will become more and more
- 45:56obvious if we're out of a bear market right now.
- 46:01I think the flywheel as Sailor says, you know, the positive
- 46:06feedback loop, it's going to expand and I and I really do
- 46:10believe that we are going to see probably a bigger adoption level
- 46:14than we've seen in any year prior and also obviously a way
- 46:19bigger price than we've ever seen in the world or in the
- 46:23history of Bitcoin anyways. That that's type of stuff gets
- 46:28me fired up, kind of kind of gets me, kind of gets me going.
- 46:32Anyways, let's keep it moving a little bit and what we're going
- 46:36to we're going to come back to the Sailor story.
- 46:39You guys already know. What was it Thursday?
- 46:41I think it was Thursday. Everyone was freaking out
- 46:45because Sailor changed his meme from never sell your Bitcoin to
- 46:51say what? What do you say?
- 46:53Sell less Bitcoin than you save. I think that's what it was.
- 46:57Maybe I'm butchering it. I'll I'll find it on the
- 46:59commercial break. Well, he went on the podcast and
- 47:02they asked Wolf of Wall Street podcast and they asked him about
- 47:05it. And ever since that strategy
- 47:09earning call, he has kind of been doing damage control.
- 47:16I don't, I don't and I'm not I'm not here to, you know, cover for
- 47:20sailor. That's not my job.
- 47:24That's strategy's job. But we said it on the show, it
- 47:29does. It does make sense.
- 47:30Like, you know, if you're anyway anyways, if you're buying a lot
- 47:34of Bitcoin, selling a little bit of that Bitcoin is like it's in
- 47:37the grand scheme of things is not that big of a deal.
- 47:40But obviously, as we said last week, because his brand was
- 47:44built on this idea of never sell your Bitcoin.
- 47:47It it was news. Now we got an another clip
- 47:50update on this because everyone's freaking out about
- 47:55it, so that's what I'll cover right now when I come back from
- 47:57the break. I want to give a shout out to
- 48:00our partner, Leadin. Here's something most Bitcoin
- 48:02holders never figure out until it's too late.
- 48:04You're sitting on wealth you can't touch without selling.
- 48:07Leadin fixes that. Bitcoin back loans.
- 48:10You keep your stack, you get cash.

- 49:03If you already self custody your Bitcoin, you already know the

- 49:06Complex setups, clumsy interfaces and a seed phrase

- 49:12Bit key fixes that. Bit key is a multi sig hardware

- 49:40code simply. All right, guys, sorry,
- 49:52someone's blowing up my phone. I'm getting spam calls right
- 49:55now, man. Anyways, if you've been watching
- 50:01the show, if you're on Twitter, you're obviously aware that,
- 50:06like, all right, this is kind of funny to me.
- 50:10So, you know, Sailor's out here. He buys another $43 million of
- 50:14Bitcoin. He's he's back.
- 50:16You know, the orange dots are back.
- 50:18He's buying another, you know, 10s of millions of dollars of
- 50:22Bitcoin. Stretch this morning, you know,
- 50:25is at par. He basically bought all of the
- 50:28Bitcoin mine today with the Stretch product.
- 50:35And all everyone wants to talk about is not the fact that he's
- 50:39buying Bitcoin, but that he said something in his earning 'cause
- 50:43it is kind of funny now that if Sailor isn't buying billion
- 50:47dollars of Bitcoin a week, it's not news.
- 50:50It's not a news story anymore. So now we're at this point in
- 50:53the cycle where we're just nitpicking what he's saying
- 50:57because we're kind of bored here with like, yo buy another Billy
- 51:01bro, like buy another Billy pump the price, dude.
- 51:05So you know, there's that Sailor bought some more Bitcoin this
- 51:07morning. But all everyone is talking
- 51:09about is what he said last week is buy more Bitcoin than you
- 51:13sell the strategy earning call. I played you guys Eclipse last
- 51:18week. Sailor did say, hey, we are
- 51:20going to sell some Bitcoin, the capital gains on our Bitcoin so
- 51:25that we can fund or pay for the stretch dividends.
- 51:30That's what everyone is talking about.
- 51:32Oh, Sailor says he's going to sell some Bitcoin.
- 51:35You know Sailor's going to sell his 800,000 Bitcoin like, you
- 51:39know, he buys another 50 mil. No one cares.
- 51:43All we care about is the fact that he said he might
- 51:45potentially sell some Bitcoin, like a little portion of his
- 51:50Bitcoin and everyone's like, oh, it's over bro.
- 51:53The bull is selling his Bitcoin. Well, we got an update 'cause
- 52:00he's, he sailor has been doing a little bit of damage control on
- 52:03Twitter. I I'll agree with that.
- 52:06You know, the fact he did that tweet, we saw one from strategy
- 52:10say that if the Bitcoin price only goes up 2.3% a year, they
- 52:16will be able to pay the stretch stretch dividend.
- 52:21It doesn't seem like he's really that worried.
- 52:23But it is interesting to me that Saylor is doing damage control
- 52:26right now like he is doing some PR right now because everyone
- 52:30freaked out. And you know, I have also people
- 52:34like calling stretch and strategy of Ponzi and I, I like
- 52:38to troll, but I, I really think strategy is, is in a, I don't
- 52:42think there's anything to be concerned if you are an MSTR
- 52:45holder or even a stretch holder. I think sailor, you know, he's a
- 52:49rocket scientist. I'm just a 42 IQ YouTube talking
- 52:53head. OK, if you're going to trust
- 52:56someone, I would probably, I would probably take sailor's
- 53:00opinions over mine. I, I'll do that any day.
- 53:03Anyway, we got another clip update explaining I guess a
- 53:08little better than he did the first time to fully explain his
- 53:14reasoning and what he's doing. So here's the clip, it's pretty
- 53:17short and and then we'll chat about it.
- 53:21We might sell 20 basis points of Bitcoin.
- 53:25Like .2% of Bitcoin in a month. We'd probably buy 5X.
- 53:29Or 10X that much in the same month.
- 53:31So, so people are getting caught up on that.
- 53:34But if you sell $100 million of Bitcoin in the same month that
- 53:37you buy a billion or $2 billion of Bitcoin, we're still net
- 53:41buyers of Bitcoin. We're still net holders of
- 53:43Bitcoin. But the benefit to being able to
- 53:46fund with Bitcoin is we have the option to never sell a share of
- 53:50stock again. And that really rips the faces
- 53:53off of the shorts. That's good, right?
- 53:55And then we also have the option to capture the tax credit 'cause
- 53:59we have billions of dollars of tax credits that if we were to
- 54:02simply sell the high basis Bitcoin, we would capture the
- 54:07tax benefit and we could fund the dividend.
- 54:11And then with STRC, we're selling so much STRC that we'll
- 54:16buy back 10 Bitcoin for everyone Bitcoin we sell.
- 54:19And if and if you can do that, I would recommend.
- 54:22You do it too. It's not a bad.
- 54:27Oh man, you got to love everyone on Twitter.
- 54:31Everyone on Twitter just takes a little sound bite.
- 54:35They run with it. They get the engagement, you
- 54:38know, they get their Twitter payouts and sailors out here
- 54:41just doing damage control. But we we literally said this on
- 54:45the show. It's like, look, I mean Nico
- 54:47kind of got a little bit wrong. He's like, look, they're
- 54:49capitulating perfect bottom market signal.
- 54:52I'm like, bro, he literally said like, we're going to sell the
- 54:56capital gains to fund the stretch product.
- 54:58And now sailors like, look, if I'm selling, you know, one
- 55:03Bitcoin through the stretch product, I'm going to be buying
- 55:0710 Bitcoin a month. It's like it's a, it's a, it's a
- 55:10good balance sheet move. Now, obviously the reason
- 55:15everyone freaked out is because for years he's been saying never
- 55:18sell your Bitcoin. But now I think that was
- 55:21probably before he figured out the stretch product and what he
- 55:25needed to do to engineer that going further.
- 55:30But it it's I really don't think it's that big of a deal.
- 55:33It's like what you know, I know the meme buy more Bitcoin than
- 55:37you sell doesn't hit as strong as never sell your Bitcoin.
- 55:41But are we are? Do we think Bitcoin is money?
- 55:47Do we think we should be using our Bitcoin?
- 55:50I know right now maybe you want to first store a lot of value in
- 55:54Bitcoin. But if, if it comes down to like
- 55:59a normal person, it's like, look, just make sure you're
- 56:02saving the majority of your Bitcoin.
- 56:04If you are all in on Bitcoin to make sure you have the majority
- 56:09of your coin. I'm not going to yell at you.
- 56:12I have some friends that will yell at you.
- 56:15You know, I, I have a particular cat in mind on Twitter that is
- 56:20very proud that he has never sold Bitcoin.
- 56:23And you know, kudos to him. He's my boy.
- 56:25I love him. But for many people, if you're
- 56:31all in on Bitcoin, you're using it as your money, you're using
- 56:33it to live. You know, I, I know some of you
- 56:36guys in the chads like, look, I've been saving in Bitcoin for
- 56:3856710 years. It's like, I probably will use a
- 56:43little Bitcoin so I can pay off my car debt.
- 56:45And it's like, yeah, that's kind of the point of it.
- 56:48It's like build a nest egg, you know, increase your purchasing
- 56:51power, increase your savings power.
- 56:54And if you want to take a little bit off the top to live your
- 56:58life, why are you listening to people on the Internet tell you
- 57:02what to do with your money? That's what I've been saying for
- 57:04years now. Sailor is obviously I think
- 57:08thinking in that same mindset, but in a grander level.
- 57:13He's like, look, if I can just use a he literally said point to
- 57:20like a tiny amount of my Bitcoin to pay off the dividend to my
- 57:24stretch product. And this continues going on
- 57:27forever and I buy billions of dollars a month of Bitcoin.
- 57:31It's like what's what's the big deal here?
- 57:35But it is interesting that he is doing the PR, you know, he's
- 57:38doing the doing this, the the podcast circle he's doing, you
- 57:43know, because it caught on so big.
- 57:45He's he's out there having to clarify this because it did, I
- 57:49think spook a lot of investors or rather a lot of people on
- 57:52Bitcoin made a mountain out of a molehill.
- 57:58I really don't think it's that crazy, but some more clarity on
- 58:03Sailor and strategy. I think it the the, again, like
- 58:08I said last week, the most interesting thing to me is that
- 58:12Saylor probably said that in the strategy earning calls and he
- 58:16probably didn't think people were going to freak out about
- 58:18it. And then everyone freaked out
- 58:20about it And he's like, oh shit, I got to go out there and do do
- 58:24the PR guy got to make tweets. I got to go on podcasts and talk
- 58:28about it. He's probably like, dude, I it
- 58:30was really like a throwaway comment here, you know,
- 58:33explaining what he's going to be doing and everyone freaked out
- 58:37about it. And it's it's it's pretty
- 58:43interesting. It it's just funny to it's funny
- 58:46to watch. Yeah.
- 58:51I mean, look down under Blues. Sure, you know, buy 20 Bitcoin,
- 58:55sell one. Just buy 19 Bitcoin and sell
- 58:59none. Yeah, if you're like a normal
- 59:01person, he's, he's doing some crazy elaborate financial
- 59:06engineering. I really don't think it's that
- 59:11big of a deal. But you know, what do I know?
- 59:13What do I know, man? What?
- 59:15I would love to be coffee seller.
- 59:19This. Is this what waiting feels like?
- 59:20People just over sensationalize things, Sailor says.
- 59:23Yeah, 100%, 100%. Well, if he does it for taxes,
- 59:28the rest of the companies might follow and it could drop to 60
- 59:31again out of fear. Yeah, Yeah, true, true.
- 59:37But I don't I don't think we're there yet.
- 59:39Again, not that many companies actually hold Bitcoin.
- 59:42Yes, we have more companies than ever, but the grand scheme of
- 59:47things, we are still early. Anyways, in that light, I do
- 59:56went so far. Anyways, anyways, I I saw some
- 1:00:02interesting stuff on Friday in, in regards to the stock market
- 1:00:09and it made me think of Bitcoin diminishing returns.
- 1:00:12And I think we have two examples here that are going to
- 1:00:16fundamentally, at least in my mind, change how we should be
- 1:00:20viewing where we're going from here.
- 1:00:24And I was after the Friday show, I went and got some food.
- 1:00:27I, I went to an Argentinian steakhouse.
- 1:00:29You know, I treated myself, it's the end of the week.
- 1:00:31I got some, some pecana. I was like chilling, drinking a
- 1:00:35beer. I'm on Twitter and I saw this
- 1:00:38post from Kobayashi letter giving the numbers on what
- 1:00:42happened in the stock market in the last month.
- 1:00:45It's absolutely insane. And of course, it always came
- 1:00:48back to Bitcoin for me. So I think I, and I could be
- 1:00:52wrong here, but I'm going to double down on the idea that I
- 1:00:57think diminishing returns in Bitcoin, it's not going to
- 1:01:01happen. I think the last two cycles have
- 1:01:04basically been dampened. I, I think they, the
- 1:01:09metaphoricals, they made sure that Bitcoin didn't find escape
- 1:01:14velocity, that basically we didn't have the bull runs that
- 1:01:17we all know and love. And I think this time, because
- 1:01:23we are going to see an incredible amount of
- 1:01:26institutional capital come in added with a lot of retail once
- 1:01:30Bitcoin starts to make a new all time high.
- 1:01:34It might not be this cycle, but I don't believe diminishing
- 1:01:38returns is, is a thing. Everyone's saying, oh look, the
- 1:01:42the bear market or sorry, the bull market highs, they're
- 1:01:45decreasing. It's never going to run like it
- 1:01:47used to run. And for a while there I just
- 1:01:50kept saying, I'm like, dude, go talk to normal people.
- 1:01:54How many people actually hold Bitcoin?
- 1:01:56How many institutions actually hold Bitcoin of the entire
- 1:01:59world? Global market cap, global
- 1:02:02capital pool, how much of Bitcoin takes up or how much of
- 1:02:07that capital has found its way into Bitcoin?
- 1:02:09It's like nothing literally like nothing like crumbs a a rounding
- 1:02:14error of capital has come into Bitcoin and everyone is still
- 1:02:19saying, oh you know the power law Bitcoin's going to go up and
- 1:02:22it's very, you know, slow grind up very mathematical nature and
- 1:02:28we know that the returns per bull market are going to go
- 1:02:32down. I'm like, no, I don't see it.
- 1:02:37Do we not believe in the S curve adoption of Bitcoin?
- 1:02:40And you're telling me that we've already seen the exponential
- 1:02:43growth phase of Bitcoin? I, I, I don't see it.
- 1:02:49Again, I'm biased, I'm bullish, but to me it's never made sense.
- 1:02:54Anyways, enough context, last commercial break and I and I'll
- 1:02:59break it down for you. I want to give a shout out to
- 1:03:02our partner Hive Digital Technologies.

- 1:04:39All right, guys, I I see yes, dude, but Kanye, it's the go.
- 1:04:44OK, maybe, maybe, maybe these thoughts are just coming because
- 1:04:48I was getting the the dopamine of eating a good steak and
- 1:04:52having a beer. I'm like, it's Friday.
- 1:04:54I finally get a break and I'm on Twitter obviously, like I'm
- 1:04:59never off Twitter. It's I'm perpetually online, OK?
- 1:05:03I'm perpetually online. I'm like alone.
- 1:05:05I'm eating the steak, I'm drinking a beer.
- 1:05:08You know, I'm on Twitter and I see this tweet.
- 1:05:10And also, I don't know if you guys saw over the weekend, but
- 1:05:15it was very interesting to see that over the weekend, everyone
- 1:05:18was really, really going hard on that.
- 1:05:23We are in a new.com bubble in terms of AI.
- 1:05:26Like that was the main conversation that I was seeing
- 1:05:30on Twitter Friday afternoon. It's like, Oh my God, there's so
- 1:05:33many signposts showing us that we're in a new.com bubble and
- 1:05:38and that's not what I'm going to talk about.
- 1:05:39But it was interesting that that is what it seemed like everyone
- 1:05:43was saying Friday that I don't know if you guys saw that maybe,
- 1:05:47you know, maybe it's just my timeline, but I saw a lot of
- 1:05:50correlations with what we're seeing in the stock market to
- 1:05:54this, to the.com, you know, 2000 era.
- 1:05:58I mean, Michael Bury was out here saying like it feels
- 1:06:00exactly like the ending months of 1999 and 2000 before the.com
- 1:06:05bubble because we're seeing the stock market absolutely go
- 1:06:11bonkers. Guys.
- 1:06:13It's what are we, what are we doing here holding Bitcoin?
- 1:06:16We should just all buy the S&P 500 or the QQQ.
- 1:06:20Yo, what are we doing here? What what man?
- 1:06:23You know, being ideological really doesn't pay off anyway,
- 1:06:26I'm I'm kind of low key trolling because Bitcoin will have it's
- 1:06:29day in the sun. It's going to RIP.
- 1:06:30But anyway, in the same context of that, I saw this tweet here
- 1:06:35from Kobayashi Letter and absolutely bonkers.
- 1:06:40All right, this is I'll connect this with where my thinking is
- 1:06:44at. Kobayashi Letter tweeted this
- 1:06:46because we truly are witnessing history right now.
- 1:06:50It's clear that the period we are in now will be referenced
- 1:06:53for decades to come. The S&P 500 has added $10
- 1:06:57trillion in 29 days. Let me repeat that.
- 1:07:03In the last month, the S&P 500, just kind of magically out of
- 1:07:08thin air, has added $10 trillion in its market cap.
- 1:07:14Semiconductor AI stocks are surging 100% plus in weeks, and
- 1:07:19the Trump administration is up 550% on Intel.
- 1:07:24When we began emphasizing the need to own assets to win in
- 1:07:27this market over 12 months months ago, this is exactly what
- 1:07:30we meant. While inflation is back and the
- 1:07:33labor market is weakened, it simply does not matter right
- 1:07:36now. In fact, the return of inflation
- 1:07:38has only intensified the scramble for yield and hard
- 1:07:41assets that can preserve purchasing power.
- 1:07:44Look at the data. Just five stocks have accounted
- 1:07:47for roughly 50% of the S&P 500 total gains since April 1st.
- 1:07:53These same tech giants driving the market higher, gaining even
- 1:07:56more momentum amid rate cuts, deregulation and historic
- 1:07:59inflows into equities. Asset owners are experiencing
- 1:08:03one of the greatest wealth expansions in modern history,
- 1:08:06while everyone else is being left behind.
- 1:08:09Our 12 plus month thesis has materialized.
- 1:08:13So obviously, yes, we're seeing the stock market absolutely RIP.
- 1:08:18We've heard Trump talk about this for over a year, that he is
- 1:08:23looking at the stock market as an indicator of how he's doing
- 1:08:27with the his presidency, his presidential, you know,
- 1:08:31administration. We've seen the Iran war,
- 1:08:35whatever's happening in the Middle East of ceasefire, not
- 1:08:38ceasefire. Friday night after the markets
- 1:08:40close, you know, maybe we go in for 48 hours and then Monday
- 1:08:46markets open and it's over there.
- 1:08:49You could say there is some stock market manipulation going
- 1:08:52on. But besides the point, I
- 1:08:57fundamentally believe that where we currently are, there is so
- 1:09:03much money sloshing in the system that it will eventually
- 1:09:09find its way to Bitcoin. Maybe not this week, next month
- 1:09:14or what have you, but eventually it will find its way into
- 1:09:19Bitcoin. And if what we're seeing in the
- 1:09:21stock market is any indicator of how much capital will eventually
- 1:09:26find its way into Bitcoin, I am 100% convinced that diminishing
- 1:09:33returns in Bitcoin, it's not a thing.
- 1:09:36I don't believe it. Again, in the last month, the
- 1:09:42S&P 500 has added $10 trillion. Last year, gold added $10
- 1:09:49trillion to its market cap. And what is the prevailing view
- 1:09:54on Bitcoin? Oh, it's market cap is so big.
- 1:09:57It's 1 1/2 trillion dollars to get the returns that you expect
- 1:10:06from the past in Bitcoin. It needs so much capital to come
- 1:10:09in and getting that much capital to come in Bitcoin is just not
- 1:10:14going to happen. So Bitcoins probably only going
- 1:10:16to have like a 3X this this cycle guys, because last cycle
- 1:10:20it was 6X and the cycle before that it was 12X and the cycle
- 1:10:23before that it was 100 X. Because you can see we have
- 1:10:26three data points and look, it's diminishing guys.
- 1:10:29So diminishing returns is going to be a thing.
- 1:10:32And I'm like, yeah, cool story bro.
- 1:10:33But gold added $10 trillion in a year.
- 1:10:37S&P 500 added $10 trillion in a month.
- 1:10:41You don't think $10 trillion could be added to the Bitcoin
- 1:10:44market cap and blow all of these models out of the water?
- 1:10:49I think people are still using old thing.
- 1:10:51Like I still believe people think we are in like a 2015
- 1:10:56scenario in the global economy like everyone still thinks we
- 1:11:00are. We are living in the past here
- 1:11:03and I'm like God, do you remember like 2020?
- 1:11:05They printed half of all the dollars in existence and now we
- 1:11:08are starting to see QE about to happen.
- 1:11:09It's like just the money printer's about to, to speed up
- 1:11:13and everyone is looking for hard assets and places to store their
- 1:11:16value. And you think, Oh yeah, because
- 1:11:18of the power law, Bitcoin's only going to go up 3X.
- 1:11:20Guys, it's mathematically, you know, it's math, guys, trust the
- 1:11:24math. I'm like, no, what?
- 1:11:27What if $10 trillion wanted to find its way into Bitcoin?
- 1:11:33It's totally not out of the realm of possibility.
- 1:11:38It it's a non zero chance it could happen.
- 1:11:43It's the exponential growth. They can't see how it happens
- 1:11:45still exactly like OK, like Tommy, I know let's get to 150 K
- 1:11:51first. You know, let's get to $10
- 1:11:52trillion market cap first. I get it.
- 1:11:56But remember the and my and my numbers have been wrong.
- 1:12:00You guys have yelled at me, but what wow, I'm blanking on what
- 1:12:03it's called for every dollar that goes into Bitcoin, the
- 1:12:07multiplier effect. I've seen different numbers.
- 1:12:10You know, I think the more conservative is like 4, 5X or
- 1:12:14something like that. For every dollar that comes into
- 1:12:17Bitcoin, the multiplier effect basically adds 4 or $5 to the
- 1:12:22market cap. I've seen some very high
- 1:12:24predictions or rather numbers like 10 to 20% depending on
- 1:12:30certain market factors, but say it's 4 to $5 multiplier effect.
- 1:12:39So we'll go with five. Easy math.
- 1:12:43You know $2 trillion be added inflows coming into Bitcoin.
- 1:12:48That would add about $10 trillion to the market cap.
- 1:12:53If it's a 5X multiplier goes smaller or maybe less inflows,
- 1:13:00$1 trillion finds its way into Bitcoin with a 10X multiplier,
- 1:13:05that's $10 trillion added to the market cap.
- 1:13:08Like Bitcoin doesn't need $10 trillion of inflows to come in
- 1:13:15for Bitcoin to go up a $10 trillion in market cap.
- 1:13:21I'm fundamentally convinced by what we are seeing in the S&P
- 1:13:24500 and in gold last year and in silver, you know, silver added
- 1:13:28what it was like 2 trillion, 4 trillion to its market cap.
- 1:13:31I don't have the numbers on top of my head, but it add it went
- 1:13:35exponential. I, I just, I don't, I think, I
- 1:13:40think we all have PTSD in, in regards to the 2021 cycle and
- 1:13:47the 2024 all time high or 2025 all time high.
- 1:13:52You know it had we have been seeing a diminishing returns up
- 1:13:55to this point, but I think we are all underestimating how much
- 1:14:02capital is sloshing in the system that will eventually need
- 1:14:06to find a home. And once the scarcity aspect of
- 1:14:09Bitcoin sets into people and they truly understand what a 21
- 1:14:14million hard cap means and they scramble to get to 1 coin, half
- 1:14:21a coin, any coin at all really starts to kick in.
- 1:14:26And every rich person wants to get their capital out of
- 1:14:29whatever the hell else they're holding.
- 1:14:31And it needs to get into Bitcoin.
- 1:14:33I really think we will start to see the S curve adoption happen.
- 1:14:37But I, I just, I don't, I don't think the, the idea, oh, big
- 1:14:45number market cap means, you know, more money for big number
- 1:14:50return. I'm like, guys, are you watching
- 1:14:53what's happening in gold? Are you watching what's
- 1:14:55happening in the S&P 500? Gold's market cap was what, $20
- 1:15:00trillion? It added $10 trillion to its
- 1:15:05market cap when absolutely exponential S&P 500 trillions of
- 1:15:13dollars added $10 trillion in a month.
- 1:15:18I am, I'm just like, guys, are we looking at the same?
- 1:15:20Like I remember when everyone used to be bullish here.
- 1:15:23What happened to everyone being bullish now?
- 1:15:25I agree. Sometimes we were stupidly,
- 1:15:27naively bullish. You know, I agree, I agree.
- 1:15:32You know, I'm I get I get overly bullish.
- 1:15:36Maybe we're all trying to mature a little bit.
- 1:15:38You know, the suits are here, so we can't say too crazy stuff.
- 1:15:42But I am reminded of my friends quote Rockstar Dev and and I do
- 1:15:49have to censor it a little bit. You know, I am on YouTube.
- 1:15:53He says it a little differently, but our job here and I have not
- 1:15:59forgotten my job, our job here is to be so absolutely bullish
- 1:16:07that your friends and family think you're an idiot.
- 1:16:10That is our job. We need to maintain bullishness
- 1:16:15no matter what. And I'm looking at traditional
- 1:16:21markets and they're they're pumping like shit coins in
- 1:16:24Bitcoin. And you don't think Bitcoin can
- 1:16:28still pump again, man, guys, guys, guys, did we all forget
- 1:16:35how to be bullish in the last five years?
- 1:16:39Really do a number on our psyche?
- 1:16:41We all have PTSD. I'm still and always bullish.
- 1:16:51Let's see over 95% mine 20 to 21 million, mine 5 million lost and
- 1:16:57Wall Street crashed the top to set their tables, which means
- 1:17:00we're about to see the five curve spike.
- 1:17:02All right, OK, let's go. I'm just saying, look, I could
- 1:17:09be wrong, but in the context of what we're seeing in traditional
- 1:17:15markets, in the context of Bitcoin being tiny, and I
- 1:17:20believe Bitcoin is a more powerful idea than basically all
- 1:17:25the companies on the stock market.
- 1:17:28I think it's a bigger idea than AI, hence why everyone's going,
- 1:17:33you know, AI agents will need Bitcoin.
- 1:17:35I think Bitcoin is bigger than all of the, you know, I wouldn't
- 1:17:41say all the capital in the world because a lot of people will
- 1:17:43still want more traditional investment products or you know,
- 1:17:48whether that's art, collectibles, real estate,
- 1:17:52etcetera. I think there will always be a,
- 1:17:54a need for those. But I think Bitcoin is still
- 1:17:59very early and I'm just, I like, I'm looking, I'm looking at the
- 1:18:05S&P 500 add 10 trillion. I'm looking at gold add 10
- 1:18:08trillion. I'm like, is it so crazy to
- 1:18:10think that Bitcoin could add 10 trillion and diminishing returns
- 1:18:16completely destroyed? I don't know.
- 1:18:20OK, I'm, I'm just, I'm just starting Monday off a little
- 1:18:27strong with some bullishness. OK, That's all I'm saying.
- 1:18:30All I'm saying is you guys are all bearish.
- 1:18:34I remember when you guys were bullish.
- 1:18:37It's making me sad. I thought we were all bulls
- 1:18:38here. And yet everyone's like, oh, you
- 1:18:42know, Bitcoin volatility has gone down.
- 1:18:45There's no way $10 trillion could be added to the market
- 1:18:47cap, bro. Bitcoin's only going to do like
- 1:18:49a 3X. Like we'll get lucky if we get
- 1:18:51to 200300K this next cycle. Like, I don't know, man, I, I
- 1:19:01remember, I remember having a dream.
- 1:19:03I remember being so bullish. It hasn't happened yet, but I
- 1:19:09can't let go of it. Can't let go of it.
- 1:19:11Anyways, that's what I got for you guys today.
- 1:19:14I hope you enjoyed it. Actually, the numbers keep
- 1:19:17going. Like you guys like the Monday
- 1:19:18bullishness. OK.
- 1:19:20OK. Drinking that bull sauce.
- 1:19:22Hell yeah. Yeah.
- 1:19:24The stash is kind of strong, right?
- 1:19:25I haven't shaved in a couple of weeks.
- 1:19:27It's a little dirty. Thank you, Harry.
- 1:19:29Harry Garcia. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:19:33I'm a boy out there. Anyways, anyways, it's Monday.
- 1:19:37It's going to be a very interesting week.
- 1:19:41Few things going on, in my opinion.
- 1:19:43Obviously the Clarity Act markup on Thursday, it's going to be a
- 1:19:47big moment. It's going to be a big moment.
- 1:19:49Maybe you're like me, I'm a little burnt out on that, on
- 1:19:52even talking about it, but finally the rubber hits the
- 1:19:56road. And then two more in the price
- 1:20:00action stuff. And I know some of you guys
- 1:20:02don't like the price action stuff.
- 1:20:04But the 82 K range is going to be very interesting.
- 1:20:08I, I think the next few days maybe we did, we did correct a
- 1:20:13little bit. I think we're still around the
- 1:20:1480, you know, 80K range. But we do have a kind of two
- 1:20:20very interesting points right now.
- 1:20:23We have the resistance, horizontal resistance around 82
- 1:20:26K and then we have a trend line that is building up.
- 1:20:31They are magic lines. I I agree with you, but it's
- 1:20:37going to be very interesting if these two areas cause something
- 1:20:43to pop. I'm I'm taking the bullish bet
- 1:20:47to the upside, but who knows if the clarity act markup markup
- 1:20:52does go through on on Thursday, I wouldn't be surprised if the
- 1:20:57Bitcoin price tag guys, I'm just saying I'm just saying don't be
- 1:21:04surprised if we get some good news in the Bitcoin price dumps,
- 1:21:08but I'm I'm still taking the bullish side.
- 1:21:10I I think you know, I'll, I'll go back to what I said.
- 1:21:13I'm I'm kind of looking at that 85 K range guys, I'm kind of I
- 1:21:18don't know man, the oracles are telling me we're at 82 right
- 1:21:23now. Shut up, let's go.
- 1:21:25OK, Maybe my 85 K prediction is maybe I'll be right.
- 1:21:32Let's see. All right, before I go, let me
- 1:21:34let me just let me just check where we currently are.
- 1:21:37Let me go to my chart real quick.
- 1:21:42Oh, a little red hammer. I'm seeing 81 nine, but yeah,
- 1:21:47it's about 82. I don't know.
- 1:21:50Red hammer. Red hammer is not good.
- 1:21:52Let's see what happens by the end of the day.
- 1:21:53Let's see what happens by the end of the day.
- 1:21:55If we can end the day green, I don't know boys.
- 1:22:01I'm starting to feel bullish. I'm starting to feel bullish.
- 1:22:03I we are starting to feel bullish.
- 1:22:07You can't have a bullish uptrend within a bearish downtrend.
- 1:22:10I agree, but I don't know guys. I'm not convinced we are going
- 1:22:15to be in this bear market till October.
- 1:22:21What do I know? What do I know?
- 1:22:23I'm just saying I'm just saying anyways guys, I love you guys.
