- 0:00Speaker 1: Time now for back to the basics in health care
- 0:01Speaker 1: with Balanced Life Chiropractic.
- 0:03Speaker 2: We have Dr.
- 0:03Speaker 1: Harley, and we're taking a little tour of the spine.
- 0:05Speaker 1: We're all the way to T7, and that's like the
- 0:08Speaker 1: halfway point. We're kind of right in the middle, right?
- 0:10Speaker 3: Right. We're halfway through the thoracic spine. But yeah, we're
- 0:14Speaker 3: really kind of about halfway through the whole spine. So
- 0:16Speaker 3: we're almost there, guys. If you're getting tired of this series,
- 0:19Speaker 3: we are working our way through it. Hopefully you're learning something.
- 0:22Speaker 1: I'm learning stuff because I see over here it says pancreas,
- 0:24Speaker 1: but then it says something else.
- 0:25Speaker 2: What the heck is that?
- 0:26Speaker 3: Duodenum.
- 0:27Speaker 2: What is a duodenum? Or duodenum. I don't know what
- 0:30Speaker 2: that is. Sounds like something Dr. Seuss made up.
- 0:33Speaker 3: The upper part of our small intestine. So right where
- 0:36Speaker 3: our stomach leads into our small intestine, that is that
- 0:39Speaker 3: part of the small intestine.
- 0:41Speaker 1: Well, I see over here in the effects some of
- 0:43Speaker 1: the things that I hear quite a bit, but I'll
- 0:45Speaker 1: let you tell me what are some of the things
- 0:47Speaker 1: that people would maybe experience if they're struggling with something
- 0:50Speaker 1: on the T7.
- 0:50Speaker 3: So we're looking at ulcers, gastritis, irritable bowel syndrome. Now,
- 0:55Speaker 3: we talked about some of those last week with the stomach. Well,
- 0:58Speaker 3: right now we're deep in the digestive system. So a
- 1:01Speaker 3: lot of similarities are going to be showing up.
- 1:03Speaker 2: Those two things kind of go hand in hand.
- 1:04Speaker 1: And if I have an issue with T7, is it
- 1:07Speaker 1: common to have like T6 or T8 have issues as well?
- 1:10Speaker 2: Or is it usually like right down to one?
- 1:12Speaker 3: Yeah, a lot of times with a thoracic spine, if
- 1:15Speaker 3: one segment's out, it kind of locks up the area
- 1:17Speaker 3: around it. So you may notice when you get your
- 1:20Speaker 3: thoracic spine adjusted, there's quite a bit that moves or
- 1:24Speaker 3: cracks because they all kind of lock up together because
- 1:27Speaker 3: there's not a ton of motion already with them. Each
- 1:30Speaker 3: segment adds a little bit more motion. So when one
- 1:33Speaker 3: locks up, it kind of blocks up that whole area.
- 1:35Speaker 1: That's because the T7 is connected to the T6. Is
- 1:38Speaker 1: that how the kids say it back in the day?
- 1:40Speaker 2: And the T8. And the T9. They're all connected.
- 1:44Speaker 1: So yeah, if one thing is out of place, it
- 1:45Speaker 1: can knock a bunch of stuff out of place. And again,
- 1:48Speaker 1: I love that we're going through and doing this tour.
- 1:50Speaker 1: I want everyone to know that you don't have to
- 1:52Speaker 1: walk in here and say, hey, Dr. Harley, I'm pretty
- 1:54Speaker 1: sure it's my T7. Like you come in and just
- 1:56Speaker 1: tell her where the pain is. She'll help you find it.
- 1:58Speaker 1: We're doing this just so you kind of understand how
- 2:00Speaker 1: it's all connected.
- 2:01Speaker 3: And seeing that some of your, you know, organ issues
- 2:05Speaker 3: or symptoms that you might not necessarily relate to a
- 2:08Speaker 3: chiropractor helping. We can actually see improvement with a lot
- 2:11Speaker 3: of these issues just by taking care of the spine.
- 2:15Speaker 3: Because once again, it comes back to the nervous system.
- 2:17Speaker 3: So when the spine's out of alignment, it affects our
- 2:19Speaker 3: nervous system and that's going to affect how those areas
- 2:22Speaker 3: are working and communicating. So by restoring that proper communication,
- 2:26Speaker 3: a lot of these weird symptoms, organ problems can actually
- 2:30Speaker 3: start seeing improvement.
- 2:31Speaker 2: Very nice. Well, I'm excited to chat next week. I
- 2:33Speaker 2: bet we're going to talk about T8. You might be
- 2:35Speaker 2: right about that. A little preview right there, folks.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Well, if somebody listening is going, hey, I want to
- 2:39Speaker 1: reach out because I'm having some issues with some of
- 2:41Speaker 1: the things you talked about today, and maybe chiropractic could
- 2:44Speaker 1: help me. Even if it doesn't cure it, if it
- 2:46Speaker 1: helps me make things better, that is so much better.
- 2:49Speaker 2: How do they connect with you? What's the first step?
- 2:51Speaker 3: Getting a new patient appointment scheduled. And you can do
- 2:53Speaker 3: that by giving us a call. Our phone number is 605-215-1785.
- 2:56Speaker 3: Or we even have a book online option on our website.
- 3:01Speaker 2: Very nice. That website is balancedlifesd.com.
