SPEAKER_00: Welcome to Becoming Saians, a Dragon Ball Rewatch podcast.
0:06
SPEAKER_00: And we're back.
0:07
SPEAKER_00: I'm Truman.
0:08
SPEAKER_00: And I'm Jesse.
0:09
SPEAKER_00: And this is Becoming Saiyans, a Dragon Ball Rewatch Podcast.
0:12
SPEAKER_00: On today's episode, we watched episodes 92 and 93 of Dragon Ball titled Goku Enters the Ring and Tien Shinhong vs.
0:20
SPEAKER_00: Jackie Chung.
0:22
SPEAKER_00: Um the first episode of these came out December 16th, 1987, in Japan, and in America on December 17th, 2002.
0:31
SPEAKER_00: The second episode came out in Japan on December 23rd, 1987, and December 18th, 2002.
0:39
SPEAKER_00: Um jumping in to some differences from the manga and some trivia.
0:44
SPEAKER_00: Uh in the manga of the first episode, Goku enters the ring.
0:48
SPEAKER_00: The tournaments, events, and happenings happen all over the same day.
0:51
SPEAKER_00: Uh, but you know, in the anime it takes over four days, so all the stuff about all the other stuff there is added in.
1:00
SPEAKER_00: Um that all the stuff about Pomput's backstory with all of the tur certain times and days of the events.
1:08
SPEAKER_00: Roshi talking with the girls and inviting Goku, Roshi's showing all the training, Pompa showing training.
1:16
SPEAKER_00: Uh Pomput's manager does not exist in the manga.
1:19
SPEAKER_00: So that entire plot was added into this episode.
1:22
SPEAKER_01: Which is not surprising.
1:23
SPEAKER_00: Which is with the launch getting the ice cream, all that stuff, you know.
1:26
SPEAKER_00: So go uh, with all that being filler, Goku's just there in the manga.
1:30
SPEAKER_00: Like there's no like rushing to be late.
1:32
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
1:33
SPEAKER_00: Um, Bulma and Puar are not present for this match because they, in the continuity of the manga, they are still at the hospital.
1:40
SPEAKER_00: They don't jump back and forth because there's not multiple days.
1:43
SPEAKER_00: Um in the anime, Pomput is on the roof of the waiting area with a robe.
1:48
SPEAKER_00: In the m uh manga, he has no rope robe and jumps from behind the waiting area.
1:53
SPEAKER_00: Trivia is Launch claims to hate Pomput's type in the Japanese version, while in English she argues that his film Pistol Poppers was better than Bulma's favorite.
2:01
SPEAKER_00: In Illong's case, Tislan talking or titling to Yamcha about Bulma finding over Pompa was changed to, yeah, I'm sure you like them for their intricate pot lines.
2:10
SPEAKER_00: Plot lines.
2:11
SPEAKER_00: Uh, the car, the manager, uses to lure white Goku's and Mercedes.
2:15
SPEAKER_00: Actually, wrote down Mercedes Mercedes when I when I saw the car.
2:18
SPEAKER_00: Um that's all the trivia and stuff for the first one.
2:22
SPEAKER_00: Second episode, Tien Shenhalon versus Jackie Chung.
2:25
SPEAKER_00: Some differences from the manga is that Jackie and Tien's match strikes almost immediately after, but there's a whole break, all that stuff at it in, jumping back to the hospital, um Tien mentally preparing himself for the fight.
2:39
SPEAKER_00: Uh the announcer calls for them to report.
2:41
SPEAKER_00: Because of the above, Jackie's outside at an eating area where he's normally inside the waiting area in the manga.
2:48
SPEAKER_00: Bull Malange Puar are not present for the f yeada yada yada, yam chuff, you know.
2:53
SPEAKER_00: Um, Jackie does not uh doesn't tell Tien to not get so apprehensive in the manga.
2:58
SPEAKER_00: Um in the manga when Jackie throws Tien, the latter somersaults before hitting the ring and charging back into the fight.
3:04
SPEAKER_00: The anime has Jackie throw Tien completely out of balance before he flies back.
3:08
SPEAKER_00: The fight resumes then as it was in the manga.
3:11
SPEAKER_00: When Jackie uses the after image technique in the manga, Tien sees through it almost immediately, and the anime it works a bit.
3:18
SPEAKER_00: So that's one of those stretching the fight a bit.
3:20
SPEAKER_00: Not too upsetting, but this was when we saw, uh, trivia, the original English release, the title of the episode spelt Jackie Chung's name as J-A-C-K-Y-Chun, uh, but it was changed in the remastered editions.
3:36
SPEAKER_00: We're watching the OG, it seems, because we saw the Jackie Chun spelled wrong.
3:39
SPEAKER_01: We're watching whatever's on Crunchyroll.
3:40
SPEAKER_00: We're watching whatever's on Crunchyroll, and it was spelt wrong there.
3:43
SPEAKER_00: Um when Master Roshi goes to the city to look at the women before his match, one of the first women uh looks like launched from her first appearance, but with darker hair.
3:52
SPEAKER_00: She wears a tube top instead of a halter top and has no end uh her has no endpoints.
3:57
SPEAKER_00: When seeing through Jackie's after images, Tien proclaims I choose you.
4:03
SPEAKER_00: Which people are saying that's from Pokemon.
4:05
SPEAKER_00: That was kind of the reference they think they're making there.
4:08
SPEAKER_00: Which I don't I guess like by the time they're doing the voice acting, maybe the um Eric, the English voice acting, they might have like it Pokemon might be around.
4:17
SPEAKER_00: Like Pokemon didn't Pokemon didn't exist when this first came out.
4:20
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, when when it was first animated and like written, it didn't exist because it would have been it didn't exist for like ten years.
4:27
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, because Pokemon didn't come out until ninety six, and I don't think the anime started coming out until ninety-seven or ninety-eight.
4:33
SPEAKER_01: So I mean I mean um I think the origin you you you talked about the release dates of the like the original like Japanese release.
4:40
SPEAKER_00: I'm talking about for Pokemon, not for the anime, yeah.
4:42
SPEAKER_00: For for the Pokemon anime.
4:43
SPEAKER_00: I don't think it started coming out because the the cards didn't come out until uh the game and the cards didn't come out until ninety-six.
4:48
SPEAKER_00: So I don't think the anime came out until ninety-seven or ninety-eight, I'm pretty sure.
4:52
SPEAKER_00: Because I remember watching it as a little kid, and I was uh negative one year old from on the day when Pokemon came out.
5:00
SPEAKER_00: Fun fact about me.
5:01
SPEAKER_00: Um, but that's all the trivia we have for today.
5:03
SPEAKER_00: So, previously on Dragon Ball.
5:07
SPEAKER_00: We have a long time to wait in these two episodes between the matches, where almost half an episode of just random nothingness happening before we get the fight to start.
5:16
SPEAKER_00: And the first episode's case, that is a lot of nothingness of Goku getting like tricked into going out of the town, yada yada.
5:24
SPEAKER_00: Uh launch saves him, and he comes back just in time to fight and immediately beat Pompa.
5:29
SPEAKER_00: And in the second episode, it's a lot more of just the same of just what are we even doing for this first half of the episode.
5:35
SPEAKER_00: Oh wait, the fight starts, and we get to see a really cool fight between Tien and Roach.
5:40
SPEAKER_00: And that's what you missed on these episodes of Dragon Ball Jesse, go for it.
5:44
SPEAKER_01: The least surprising, oh yeah, all this is manga exclusive that you've that you've read, I think, so far in this podcast, was these two episodes.
5:54
SPEAKER_01: Because you could definitely tell in the first episode that they were just patting for time because you knew Goku was gonna beat him in like five seconds.
6:02
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
6:02
SPEAKER_01: Like, it's like no offense to Pompa, but he's the only character in the final eight that we knew nothing about until he drew his name out of the pot.
6:10
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
6:11
SPEAKER_01: So you knew Goku was gonna win.
6:13
SPEAKER_01: So you're like, well, we have to give him some just desserts before we just wipe him off the rest off the map for the rest of eternity.
6:20
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
6:20
SPEAKER_01: Let's have like 10 minutes of world building of what who he is and what he does.
6:26
SPEAKER_00: I'm pretty sure that we the last thing we see of Pompa ever in this entire the entire universe is him being carried off in the stretcher by those two monks that worked at the temple.
6:38
SPEAKER_00: He's just that's it.
6:39
SPEAKER_00: He's gone.
6:40
SPEAKER_00: Does Pompa ever exist again?
6:42
SPEAKER_00: No, he ceases to exist as well as he's gonna be.
6:49
SPEAKER_01: Legally, he could be dead because we have no way to know.
6:52
SPEAKER_00: But he didn't die in the ring.
6:54
SPEAKER_00: So Goku's not disqualified.
6:56
SPEAKER_00: But uh I would like to let you guys know ahead of time.
6:59
SPEAKER_00: I'm not the biggest fan of these episodes, just strictly on the fact of how much of these episodes are just How much time is altruistically wasted.
7:09
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and it's just for like for no reason, just with random stupid stuff.
7:13
SPEAKER_00: That's we find out completely made up for the anime.
7:16
SPEAKER_00: Because like in the air in the manga, this all all of this entire saga basically happens over one day.
7:23
SPEAKER_00: It's one right after another after another.
7:26
SPEAKER_01: It's so far we're at like half a week or more of fighting.
7:29
SPEAKER_00: We're on like day three of this tournament.
7:31
SPEAKER_00: Um I'm assuming day three is like semifinal one and two, and then day four would be the final.
7:40
SPEAKER_00: Because they say it takes place over four days.
7:42
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I would say because like we we had day one, which I think was like most of the prelims, and I think like Gyamcha's fight.
7:48
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and then and then you have day two, which was like the last one.
7:52
SPEAKER_00: The other three, the Jackie, Krillin, and Goku.
7:55
SPEAKER_01: Well, did they take a day break between Goku's the first fight?
7:58
SPEAKER_01: Against Pomput?
7:59
SPEAKER_01: Because it feels like they just roll right from Pomput to Rosh, uh to Jackie Chun and um.
8:05
SPEAKER_00: They might have done that.
8:06
SPEAKER_00: That might have been day three, was Goku, and then because they knew that one wasn't much of a fight.
8:11
SPEAKER_00: Like, we can schedule this one for the the 11 o'clock segment.
8:15
SPEAKER_00: Nobody's showing up for this.
8:17
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
8:17
SPEAKER_00: Um, except for everyone would, because Pomput's a famous movie star.
8:20
SPEAKER_00: But yeah, well, okay, anyways.
8:22
SPEAKER_01: We sold tickets by delaying it, because like, oh man, we've got all this hype for this this character.
8:27
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
8:28
SPEAKER_01: These two characters.
8:28
SPEAKER_01: One the person became runner-up three years ago, and this big movie star who's really good at fighting, just to watch the movie star effectively die in the ring.
8:38
SPEAKER_00: No, he got knocked out.
8:39
SPEAKER_00: He's alive.
8:39
SPEAKER_00: He got knocked out.
8:40
SPEAKER_00: At the point where he leaves the ring, who knows what happened to him at that point.
8:45
SPEAKER_00: He ceases to exist.
8:46
SPEAKER_00: He gets thin and's blipped out of existence as soon as he's off screen.
8:50
SPEAKER_00: Um, but uh yeah.
8:52
SPEAKER_00: Uh we're in day three.
8:53
SPEAKER_00: It's uh on some point along the line of day three, we're in day three now.
8:56
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
8:57
SPEAKER_00: And the final's gonna be day four, is my guess.
9:00
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
9:00
SPEAKER_00: We're gonna end the semifinal end day three with semifinal two.
9:03
SPEAKER_00: That way each fighter gets a day of rest or the night of rest before the finals is my guess.
9:09
SPEAKER_00: But the whole point is this is all one day in the manga that they're stretching over a half a week in the anime.
9:19
SPEAKER_00: It just you can feel it in these episodes in particular.
9:22
SPEAKER_00: And other episodes we've pointed out there are moments where there's extra stuff added that doesn't seem necessary, but it's a whatever.
9:30
SPEAKER_00: These ones are bad because they're just it's it's just random stuff that doesn't do anything for anybody.
9:35
SPEAKER_01: If you cut out probably 90% of the adage in these episodes, you would get one pretty solid episode.
9:42
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
9:42
SPEAKER_01: And if maybe, maybe one a pretty solid episode, and then you leave on a cliffhanger, and then the first two minutes is the end of the the Chun TN fight.
9:51
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, let's just start with like the Goku eating at wherever he's at.
9:54
SPEAKER_00: Alright, time for his fight now, and he immediately knocks out.
9:58
SPEAKER_00: We cut the pomput training, being like, I'm built for this, I'm ready.
10:02
SPEAKER_00: And then you cut to his cut to Goku's fight, Goku immediately knocks him out, uh, presumably ceases uh ends his existence in this world, this universe forever, and then we move on.
10:13
SPEAKER_00: And then it's Jackie and it's Tien fighting, and that's the second half of the episode leading into the next episode where the second part of the fight happens.
10:21
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
10:22
SPEAKER_00: That cuts out all of this fat that is just it it's so bad.
10:26
SPEAKER_00: You can't even eat these episodes because they're so fatty.
10:29
SPEAKER_00: It's just so bad.
10:31
SPEAKER_00: It's it's brutal.
10:33
SPEAKER_00: I I was not a fan of these episodes.
10:35
SPEAKER_00: I mean, there are good stuff.
10:36
SPEAKER_00: There's good stuff, but in general, I'm not a fan of these episodes.
10:39
SPEAKER_01: I'll I'll defend them in this way.
10:41
SPEAKER_01: As though as like a viewing it for the first time, I had fun.
10:47
SPEAKER_01: But I can imagine on subsequent subsequent journeys through through these episodes, you probably just skip to Goku winning and you skip to uh the the full-on fight between Chun and Tien.
11:00
SPEAKER_01: And then you just move on to the next episodes.
11:03
SPEAKER_00: I I'm as we've talked about before, we're both pretty scatterbrained ADHD coded people here.
11:09
SPEAKER_00: And I but I try my best when I'm watching these episodes for the show to be locked in on what's going on.
11:14
SPEAKER_00: But I I'm gonna be real with the audience right here, I'm real with you, Jesse.
11:18
SPEAKER_00: I was playing on my phone until the fight started.
11:22
SPEAKER_00: I was like, these are some BS episodes.
11:25
SPEAKER_00: I I these are skips.
11:27
SPEAKER_01: I did my due diligence of like uh paying attention for all of these episodes.
11:32
SPEAKER_01: There might have been like one or two moments where like I checked a notification, but it's like flick it down and read read like a tweet and then like move on.
11:39
SPEAKER_01: It's like five seconds.
11:41
SPEAKER_00: But but for me, as this is my third time watching, and I'm like none of this matters, and it's not particularly fun or engaging.
11:48
SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna play.
11:49
SPEAKER_01: I I enjoyed watching Goku be dumb to like in front of other new characters because it's always fun to watch like other characters realize that that Goku has like a free freezer cold IQ.
12:02
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and it's like wow, I thought we were gonna have to fight this guy.
12:06
SPEAKER_00: We thought we're gonna have to kidnap him.
12:08
SPEAKER_00: He's willing to get on the car.
12:09
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but like at that point, it's like whatever.
12:12
SPEAKER_00: You know, Launch is running after him.
12:14
SPEAKER_01: I enjoyed watching Launch come to come to save the day.
12:17
SPEAKER_01: It was like, oh, Launch actually does care about Goku.
12:19
SPEAKER_01: Like, even Angry Launch gives a crap about Goku.
12:21
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
12:22
SPEAKER_01: That's how you know Goku, Goku's friendliness aura is is that powerful when even Angry Launch is like, you can't kidnap my friend.
12:31
SPEAKER_00: No, it's more like you can't kidnap the competition.
12:34
SPEAKER_00: That's not right.
12:35
SPEAKER_00: I need to watch him fight.
12:37
SPEAKER_00: I only get joy out of watching people beat the crap out of each other, and you're taking that away from me.
12:41
SPEAKER_00: Give him back.
12:43
SPEAKER_00: That's what it seemed like.
12:44
SPEAKER_01: And then the most unsatisfying moment of like, this is the one time she didn't need to sneeze.
12:51
unknown: Yeah.
12:52
SPEAKER_01: So I could watch him watch her break his knees.
12:55
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
12:56
SPEAKER_00: Um, but yeah, in general, like jumping into my notes, um, it was Goku's never gonna lose this fight.
13:03
SPEAKER_00: Like watching Pomput trained, it's like there's no way.
13:06
SPEAKER_01: Pomput's training like a peak, like, you know, MMA boxer.
13:11
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
13:12
SPEAKER_01: Goku's training like he needs to like go save the world in the next two minutes.
13:17
SPEAKER_00: And we were pointing this out while we were watching it, and our my girlfriend was said it in between us while we were watching it.
13:22
SPEAKER_00: And she's like, so he's weak?
13:24
SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, he's not weak.
13:26
SPEAKER_00: He's extremely strong.
13:28
SPEAKER_00: And this is nothing to- when I say Pompa had no chance of her winning this fight, that's not in any way a disrespect or a jabbed at Pompa as a person or a fighter.
13:36
SPEAKER_00: He like legitimately did like really good damage to the wall, like he was showing off.
13:41
SPEAKER_00: He like broke it in half with like a and it's like a three-foot deep wall, and he just shatters it, which we've seen these other characters do.
13:48
SPEAKER_00: So it's like, oh, he is kind of strong, like he could do this.
13:51
SPEAKER_01: On a decent level, it's just he's fighting you know what's arguably I I would say at this moment, we've we've brought it up, we'll wait to see what happens at the end of the tournament.
14:01
SPEAKER_01: But like, I wholeheartedly believe Goku's gonna win the tournament.
14:05
SPEAKER_01: He's fighting like the peak of the planet right now.
14:08
SPEAKER_00: Okay, yeah, and and if he's not, he's at least fighting like top four.
14:12
SPEAKER_00: Like there's I mean, if you without knowing how this tournament ends, he's at least in the top four because we know he's gonna win this fight, and there's three other people in the top four that he's that are going up against him.
14:24
SPEAKER_01: I mean, I mean, let me let's put it this way.
14:26
SPEAKER_01: Jackie admitted Goku is probably is seemingly levels above where he he thought he was, mm-hmm, and like kind of would would be able to beat him in a fight if you know he was smart enough to keep up with Jackie's wit.
14:41
SPEAKER_01: When Jackie's admitting that, and T Yin had to fight real hard, like, to keep up with Jackie at this point and everything.
14:49
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
14:49
SPEAKER_01: Because it's pretty cut it cuts off before we see the other fight.
14:52
SPEAKER_00: Well, this is like the whole power scaling argument.
14:54
SPEAKER_01: But it's just like when you're looking at it that way, Pomput had no chance.
14:58
SPEAKER_01: Oh yeah, well now.
14:59
SPEAKER_01: Because even if Goku's not reaching that full potential that Jackie thinks he is, he's at least gotta be on Jackie's level.
15:05
SPEAKER_01: Like for Jackie to feel that way, he's gotta be he's gotta be there.
15:08
SPEAKER_01: And there's love everyone in this everyone left in this tournament is there.
15:11
SPEAKER_01: Pomput really got here purely because he didn't run into any of them in the preliminaries.
15:15
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
15:16
SPEAKER_01: No offense to him, Pyasonsev.
15:18
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
15:18
SPEAKER_01: I'm sure there's people that that they beat in the preliminaries that could have actually been in the finals of the preliminaries, or if they were in Pomput's region, could have probably beat Pomput in the world.
15:27
SPEAKER_00: If we remove the the six named characters from this five from this six.
15:33
SPEAKER_00: Because remember we have Wolfman and Pomput.
15:34
SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah.
15:35
SPEAKER_00: I'm saying if we remove the other six people, like Pomput could go ahead, could've him and uh King Chopper could probably be fired in the finale, a championship match.
15:44
SPEAKER_00: Like, this is again no disrespect to these other people.
15:48
SPEAKER_00: There are levels to this.
15:50
SPEAKER_01: They are up against not mere mortal men.
15:52
SPEAKER_01: Like it's Jackie explains that uh after Goku beats the crap out of him.
15:56
SPEAKER_01: Where he's like, you know, Pomput's a solid fighter.
15:58
SPEAKER_00: Pomput's probably one of the top fighters in this world outside of the ones in this room with us.
16:03
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's like Pomput would would give any more like regular mortal man a run for his money if if not just dominate him like he just got dominated by Goku.
16:14
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
16:14
SPEAKER_01: The problem is, is we've all broken past those limit breaks.
16:19
SPEAKER_01: Um beyond plus ultra.
16:21
SPEAKER_01: Your girlfriend made the plus ultra joke.
16:23
SPEAKER_01: It's like they've all gone plus ultra, I guess, to say.
16:25
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
16:26
SPEAKER_01: So so fastly that like Pompa hasn't done that.
16:29
SPEAKER_01: So he there he he has reached his limit.
16:32
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he's hit the absolute and the problem is everyone left in the tournament is like probably two times as limited.
16:39
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
16:39
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that is what it is.
16:40
SPEAKER_00: And it's not again, not no disrespect to uh you know to Pompa, no disrespect when we were joking about King Choppa, no disrespect to Wolfman.
16:49
SPEAKER_00: He he really put in the effort to get there and he made it to the finals.
16:53
SPEAKER_00: It's just you're running into you're running into unshakable forces beyond your comprehension.
17:00
SPEAKER_00: Literally, Jackie blew up the moon last tournament.
17:03
SPEAKER_00: Like, can you do that?
17:05
SPEAKER_00: Can you that's the that's the baseline?
17:07
SPEAKER_01: Well, that's what that's that's that's that's the new baseline at this point.
17:10
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's a great way to put it.
17:11
SPEAKER_00: Do you have the capabilities to blow up the moon?
17:13
SPEAKER_01: If you cannot blow up the moon, maybe just stay home.
17:17
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
17:18
SPEAKER_01: Be like be a spectator, enjoy it.
17:21
SPEAKER_01: Or like just be your own.
17:26
SPEAKER_00: Seventh or eighth place.
17:27
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
17:27
SPEAKER_01: It's like it's just just enjoy the ride and know that like you know you're you're shooting for the peak of not them.
17:34
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
17:35
SPEAKER_00: You're aiming for seventh or eighth place, which is in this point first or second outside of the.
17:41
SPEAKER_01: I think they said how many fighters they have.
17:43
SPEAKER_00: I don't remember.
17:43
SPEAKER_00: It's quite a bit.
17:44
SPEAKER_00: They said it was more than they normally have.
17:46
SPEAKER_00: Like they doubled the participation between the last two.
17:49
SPEAKER_01: So like you're also fired to a crap ton of people.
17:51
SPEAKER_01: I think like what was the highest number I think we heard someone have?
17:54
SPEAKER_01: It was like in the 300.
17:56
SPEAKER_01: I think something like that.
17:56
SPEAKER_00: I think there's like three or four hundred people in this fight.
17:59
SPEAKER_00: But I don't remember exactly how to do that.
18:00
SPEAKER_01: So if you're coming seventh or eighth out of like 400, 300 to 400 comp participants, yeah, you're still doing really good.
18:07
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's how I felt when I was playing in that I played in that online tournament, like the biggest Pokemon tournament.
18:11
SPEAKER_00: There were 10,000 people.
18:13
SPEAKER_00: Do you think I'm gonna win a tournament with 10,000 people?
18:16
SPEAKER_00: Absolutely not.
18:17
SPEAKER_00: Also, I had a lot of other stuff going on that day.
18:19
SPEAKER_00: But even if I didn't have that stuff, like, there's no way I'm gonna win against 10,000 people.
18:25
SPEAKER_00: But I placed in the upper quarter of those 10,000 people.
18:30
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
18:30
SPEAKER_00: And that feels really good.
18:31
SPEAKER_01: That's really good.
18:32
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
18:32
SPEAKER_01: Especially like coming in knowing like you've never you've not won a Pokemon tournament yet in your career.
18:38
SPEAKER_01: Like your very short career, but you're not like you've not won a non-local like Pokemon tournament in your career.
18:43
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
18:44
SPEAKER_00: I have going into like when I look when I'm going to N A I C in June, it's not like I'm going in there expecting to win.
18:50
SPEAKER_00: I'm going in there hoping to win.
18:51
SPEAKER_00: Like you, you know.
18:52
SPEAKER_00: But I'm not going in there expecting, like, to expect it to even come close.
18:55
SPEAKER_00: But I'm gonna try my best to do it.
18:57
SPEAKER_01: The the best the best way I look at it when you when you enter something that like deep down you you've accepted you're probably not expected to win, is you always set a what you think is a realistic goal.
19:07
SPEAKER_01: Or like try to set a realistic goal.
19:09
SPEAKER_01: Like if you're entering like a massive Pokemon tournament, be like, like, like say you want to come top, top quarter, top 45%.
19:17
SPEAKER_01: Or when uh for the tournament, like the NIA NIAC.
19:20
SPEAKER_01: N-A-A-C.
19:21
SPEAKER_01: N A I C Yeah, my brain just said that wrong.
19:23
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
19:24
SPEAKER_01: But when you enter something like that, where it's like you want to set like, okay, let me try to go eight, like 500.
19:28
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's right.
19:29
SPEAKER_01: And then and then once you hit that goal once or twice, and you're like, okay, let's let's try to get you know, add a game, yeah.
19:34
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, add a game.
19:34
SPEAKER_01: And you keep going until you reach that break point.
19:37
SPEAKER_01: Because if you know anything about if you know anything about about uh competitive Pokemon, not everyone is Wolfie VGC.
19:43
SPEAKER_01: Not everyone is like these these characters, these people like oh, if they're in a tournament, they're gonna have probably have four or five stream matches, especially if they haven't lost all tournament, they might be on stream more than once before you know the the elimination rounds, the knockout rounds.
19:58
SPEAKER_01: Where it's just like not everyone is that skilled.
20:01
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
20:02
SPEAKER_00: And also not everybody's that experienced.
20:04
SPEAKER_01: But if everyone if everyone that didn't have that experience and didn't have that skill was too scared to show up, then you wouldn't have a tournament.
20:10
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, exactly.
20:11
SPEAKER_00: And that's like that was what I was gonna get to is that like don't tell these competitors to stay home.
20:15
SPEAKER_00: Like you always like, if if you come in seventh and the six people in front of you are Tien, Chiatsu, Krillin, Jackie, and Goku, and Yamcha, it's like, yeah, maybe you can beat Yamcha, but the rest of those guys are way out of your league.
20:32
SPEAKER_00: Like, yeah.
20:33
SPEAKER_00: Yamcha's way out of their league too.
20:35
SPEAKER_00: But he's like Pompa.
20:36
SPEAKER_00: If it was Pomp-Put versus Yamcha in the first round, that would have been a great matchup.
20:39
SPEAKER_00: That's a good matchup because Yamcha's just slightly above his limit.
20:43
SPEAKER_01: I think what takes Yamcha beyond Pompa is like the ability to pull off the energy moves.
20:48
SPEAKER_01: The command man wave.
20:49
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
20:50
SPEAKER_00: That that just being able to focus your energy into that just takes you to the next level.
20:54
SPEAKER_00: But it's not he's not high enough above that, above him that where Pompa couldn't possibly.
20:59
SPEAKER_01: Pompa could handle in close quarters combat.
21:01
SPEAKER_01: It just comes down to movement and stuff.
21:03
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
21:04
SPEAKER_00: But anyways, that the whole point is to like this fight had nothing.
21:07
SPEAKER_00: And but like it's no disrespect, it's no disrespect to Pompa, but this fight had nothing.
21:12
SPEAKER_01: Especially the longer it went on and the more I realized, oh, we're actually gonna get the fight in this episode.
21:17
SPEAKER_01: I'm like, oh yeah, Goku's winning immediately.
21:19
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, because it like I even wrote I even wrote down like uh all like at towards the end of the episode all this aura farming just to get one shot.
21:26
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
21:27
SPEAKER_01: Like when he shows up on top of the the temple with his like uh little cape robe thing, and he jumps down, yeah, starts like showboating.
21:37
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
21:37
SPEAKER_00: I guess we should talk about the plot of these this episode, the first episode.
21:41
SPEAKER_00: So uh basically it's just a nothing burger until the fight.
21:44
SPEAKER_01: But before the fight, um I will say this is this is probably the most enjoyable of the two, just screwing around, because the second episode is a lot of Jackie getting into like weird perverted mischief and Roshi training.
22:00
SPEAKER_01: Trying to be perverted and then getting punched by Goku and things like that.
22:04
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
22:04
SPEAKER_00: But see, that's part of this.
22:06
SPEAKER_00: That's part of this one.
22:06
SPEAKER_00: But the the whole thing is that, like, so the manager for Pomput is like, hey, so he has found out some news that we don't find out, but he learns something about Goku being like, hey, this guy, and he's like, I know, I know.
22:18
SPEAKER_00: He came in the runner up, Pompa.
22:20
SPEAKER_00: He's like, no, no, no, but there's more than that.
22:22
SPEAKER_00: He's like, I don't care.
22:23
SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna win this fight.
22:24
SPEAKER_00: And so the manager's like, oh, okay, okay, sir, yeah, I'll leave.
22:27
SPEAKER_00: Um, and he goes in, uh, well, before that, Pomput says, I don't like to I like to sweat in silence, or I like to sweat in alone in solitary.
22:35
SPEAKER_00: It's like, okay, Pompa, quit being so extra.
22:38
SPEAKER_00: But the manager goes to like catch an eye of like what the training looks like for Goku.
22:42
SPEAKER_00: He's like, Oh yeah, Goku, oh yeah, Pomput's gonna lose this fight.
22:45
SPEAKER_00: Goku's too strong.
22:47
SPEAKER_00: So then he comes up with the idea to like get his boys to grab Goku and drive him out of town so Pomput wins by forfeit.
22:53
SPEAKER_00: Um, which almost works, but Launch saves the day.
22:56
SPEAKER_00: And that's kind of the plot of this episode before, oh yeah, Goku beats him immediately.
23:00
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
23:01
SPEAKER_00: But like, just to get into it, that that was the plot of the first episode.
23:05
SPEAKER_01: And I have fun purely because the manager is exactly the type of character a manager needs to be in this situation when doing stuff like that.
23:13
SPEAKER_01: Like he is just kind of a mobster, yeah.
23:17
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, like he's he's a very s sleazy, cheesy, like mobby guy.
23:23
SPEAKER_00: Understanding that like Goku wouldn't go for it at all, like the thought process is he's gonna try to offer uh if it wasn't Goku, if it was Krillin or Yamcha, he would offer them untold amounts of money just to throw the fight.
23:36
SPEAKER_00: Like this is the that's the kind of manager it is.
23:39
SPEAKER_01: Which is ironic, because I was like the other the other day I was watching like stuff about uh uh like betting scam scandals in the esports and stuff.
23:47
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
23:47
SPEAKER_01: So like it kind of was it gave me a little bit of a silent chuckle to myself, like, oh, here we go again, this stupid plot line again.
23:53
SPEAKER_01: But it's Goku, so all you have to do is be like, hey, it's chains, we'll give you a ride.
23:57
SPEAKER_01: And Goku, not knowing anything about how to live the in the world without you know getting kidnapped all the time, though to be fair, when you're as strong as him, you don't really ever have to learn those lessons because you can just fight your way out of them.
24:08
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and for honestly, for like like Goku needs to have a s have a modicum of introspection or of or of critical thinking skills.
24:18
SPEAKER_00: Why are they moving the tournament on day three?
24:21
SPEAKER_00: What the heck?
24:23
SPEAKER_00: It's that urgent that they can't get like a two-day extension on their building or whatever the f heck, you know?
24:28
SPEAKER_00: It's like, come on.
24:30
SPEAKER_00: Uh Goku, take a minute and think.
24:32
SPEAKER_00: But he doesn't because he's Goku, and like you said, he has no worries because there's nobody out there who can beat him, really.
24:38
SPEAKER_01: Especially not of the non- The only people he knows who can beat him aren't in this car.
24:43
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
24:43
SPEAKER_01: So like, why do I have to worry about where they're taking me?
24:45
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, this'll be fun.
24:46
SPEAKER_01: Let's go.
24:47
SPEAKER_01: He's he's exactly he's he's everyone that you'd want, like, like if you're trying to do like sleazy things like that.
24:54
SPEAKER_01: He's the exact type of person you want to take advantage of because they're he's like too The easiest of easy marks.
25:00
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he's just like he's too dumb slash unaware to like not know what's going on.
25:06
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
25:06
SPEAKER_00: And then so we that's that episode.
25:10
SPEAKER_01: I really I enjoy it.
25:12
SPEAKER_00: I I liked it.
25:13
SPEAKER_00: Out of the two, it's my favorite of the two.
25:15
SPEAKER_00: But moving into the second episode, I have very little notes.
25:19
SPEAKER_01: So uh yeah, I mean I have a c I have like probably half the amount of notes that's from the first episode.
25:24
SPEAKER_01: Because I was just writ written down like funny enough.
25:25
SPEAKER_01: I don't even know if I have half.
25:27
SPEAKER_00: Uh-huh.
25:28
SPEAKER_01: Um like I I pointed out, you know, he studies his prey talking about TN.
25:33
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
25:33
SPEAKER_01: And then obviously I pointed out the whole Jackie's name is spelled wrong.
25:37
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I wrote that down too Elser.
25:39
SPEAKER_00: He wrote down they misspelled Jackie's name is.
25:42
SPEAKER_01: I thought I saw it when like we loaded the episode up.
25:45
SPEAKER_01: And then like I saw them say Jackie, and it reminded me of it.
25:49
SPEAKER_01: I'm like, wait a minute.
25:50
SPEAKER_01: Like I told you, like, check the title of the episode, they got his name spelled around me.
25:54
SPEAKER_00: And Jackie, it's so rough, you know.
25:58
SPEAKER_00: Um, but you know, then I basically my next note was the only note I have before the halfway point uh uh of the episode is dang it, Jackie.
26:08
SPEAKER_00: And that kind of covers all of Jackie's escapades in the first half of the episode.
26:13
SPEAKER_00: Where he's walking around the the fair.
26:15
SPEAKER_00: Apparently Tienn is gonna try to like take him out, so he has like chatsu like shoot off one of those pop guns, like as like a missile towards him, but Jackie being Jackie like falls forward into a woman's bosom, which saves them, but then they're like, Man, Jackie must be even smarter than we thought.
26:31
SPEAKER_00: And it's like, no, he's just a creepy old man.
26:34
SPEAKER_01: Honestly, they kind of leave it semi-ambiguous whether he actually avoided it.
26:39
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
26:40
SPEAKER_00: Because he kind of plays it off like he wasn't trying to do it on purpose.
26:43
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, because she even gets it, like she slaps him across the face, but then she even like apologizes to it.
26:47
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, because he's like, Oh.
26:48
SPEAKER_01: So it's like, did he did he do it like for one reason or the other reason?
26:51
SPEAKER_01: He gotta leave it in the room.
26:52
SPEAKER_00: The answer is both.
26:53
SPEAKER_00: He did it for both reasons.
26:54
SPEAKER_01: He's like, he's like, uh, an excuse.
26:57
SPEAKER_00: An excuse.
26:58
SPEAKER_01: Cause you know, like she slaps him, yeah, and then I think she realizes like something like popped behind him or whatever.
27:04
SPEAKER_00: I apologize about the noise there.
27:06
SPEAKER_00: My cats, if you're hearing in the background, they're in the living room fighting while we're in here recording.
27:11
SPEAKER_00: I don't really have a better way of putting taking care of them, so we're just gonna have to deal with the noise and roll with it.
27:16
SPEAKER_00: Um, but yeah, like the whole first half of the episode is literally just you know go Jackie walking around and Tien and Chatsu and Shin trying to pull a prank on him or trying to attack him, actually.
27:29
SPEAKER_01: Trying to like at least send like get an idea or like weaken him, I guess.
27:32
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
27:33
SPEAKER_01: Cause it because it was kind of like a scouting mission for Tien, right?
27:36
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, just like trying to see how good he was.
27:38
SPEAKER_01: He's like, oh, he's gonna be a problem when he avoids the like rubber bullet.
27:42
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
27:42
SPEAKER_00: And so then my next note, this is at the halfway part of the episode, was that was a lot of time of my life gone.
27:51
SPEAKER_00: And so that's all I had for the first half of the episode.
27:55
SPEAKER_00: Moving into the next episode, you know, uh we start out with the beginning of the fight, and it's really good, and it's uh Jackie gets the upper hand almost immediately and like throws uh Tien out of the ring.
28:06
SPEAKER_00: But of course, Tien can fly.
28:08
SPEAKER_01: So Chiatsu can fly, Tien can fly, definitely.
28:10
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
28:11
SPEAKER_00: And then we then we have Jackie and Tien fighting.
28:15
SPEAKER_00: Jackie pulls out the after image technique, and we find out Chiatsu, no matter how much math he's taken, he is not able to count yet.
28:22
SPEAKER_00: So he's like, there's eight! He's like, one, two, three, Shin's is like, there's eight! It's eight, it's eight, man! Um, but then, you know, we Chun's like able to get into his game and get into his bag when he throws the the thing off.
28:40
SPEAKER_00: So it starts out with like the first stanza of the fight is Jackie throws Tien out of the ring.
28:46
SPEAKER_00: Second stanza is Tien goes like full out, like, you know, offensive, tries to like go on, like slide under the ground, basically like levitating that ground level to try to take Jackie out at the knees.
28:57
SPEAKER_00: Um Jackie's able to avoid that and go into after image.
29:00
SPEAKER_00: Uh Tien's able to focus with his three eyes and kick Jackie into the wall.
29:05
SPEAKER_00: Jackie rips off his top and throws it into the crowd.
29:10
SPEAKER_00: Of course it lands on Bullman, and she has a freak out.
29:13
SPEAKER_00: And then uh Jackie and Tien just start brawling, and we're like, I'm like, man, we got a brawl going on here.
29:20
SPEAKER_01: I wrote I wrote they are scrap.
29:22
SPEAKER_00: They are they are wrestling out there.
29:25
SPEAKER_01: They're throwing you can definitely tell like it is quite an even matchup.
29:30
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, because they're both just it's it's it's like a Rocky fight.
29:33
SPEAKER_00: Where it's like it's if you watch Rocky about the Rocky movies, they're not boxing in the boxing sense.
29:39
SPEAKER_00: They're out there just throwing haymakers at each other.
29:42
SPEAKER_00: They're just punching.
29:43
SPEAKER_00: They're just punching.
29:44
SPEAKER_00: Especially like in Rocky IV, like the form is gone in Rocky IV when he's fighting the Russian.
29:49
SPEAKER_00: It's literally just haymaker after haymaker, both of them.
29:52
SPEAKER_00: Just whoever can withstand the most, like, most pain.
29:56
SPEAKER_01: And yeah, spoiler alert for like what a 30 year old.
29:59
SPEAKER_01: Rocky movie.
30:00
SPEAKER_00: Rocky conquers the Russians.
30:02
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Rocky, Rocky ends the Cold War.
30:04
SPEAKER_00: With with his fists.
30:06
SPEAKER_01: But that's also Avenges is Avenges' fallen uh comrade uh Paul Creek.
30:10
SPEAKER_00: But this that just this fight reminds me a lot of that because it is just a brawl.
30:16
SPEAKER_00: There the skill is gone, there's no fancy techniques going on.
30:19
SPEAKER_00: It's just two people punching and kicking the crap out of each other and trying to make the other ones submit.
30:26
SPEAKER_00: And it's just great to watch.
30:27
SPEAKER_00: It's great, it's great.
30:29
SPEAKER_00: Uh, but one note I have is man, like, Jackie is really thinking about Roshi at such a weird moment.
30:36
SPEAKER_00: There towards the end of the fight, Jackie goes, Man, Roshi, if only, you know, if only uh like you knew how strong these other fighters in this world were getting.
30:45
SPEAKER_00: They're uh even outclassing me here, you know?
30:48
SPEAKER_00: It's like, Jackie, what are you thinking about Roshi for here?
30:51
SPEAKER_00: Get your mind on the fight, buddy.
30:54
SPEAKER_00: I know that like m that Roshi's your cousin and everything, but keep your mind on the fight.
30:59
SPEAKER_01: And then it pretty much cuts off like right after that.
31:01
SPEAKER_01: Because it just ends up being find out in the next episode who wins this a ma amazing bout.
31:08
SPEAKER_01: And who do you think is gonna win, Jesse?
31:11
SPEAKER_01: I think it was my my prediction.
31:12
SPEAKER_01: I think it's Tien.
31:13
SPEAKER_01: I mean, it just makes the most sense it's gonna be Tien and Goku in the final.
31:16
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
31:17
SPEAKER_00: Like Goku has Goku has sworn vengeance.
31:20
SPEAKER_00: So, Jesse, here is our predic your predictions from last week.
31:24
SPEAKER_00: Uh, Goku wins this fight and plays with his food.
31:27
SPEAKER_00: He did not play with his food in this fight.
31:29
SPEAKER_00: He was precise and killer with his.
31:31
SPEAKER_01: As as the episode kept going on, I was like, oh, this is gonna be like a five-second fight.
31:35
SPEAKER_00: This is gonna be over immediately.
31:37
SPEAKER_00: So I'm not gonna count that one because you had it as him winning playing with his food, because you had it as a two-part pr um prediction.
31:43
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
31:44
SPEAKER_00: Number one was you said two episode fight uh that won't end until the second episode or until the next episode.
31:51
SPEAKER_00: You got that one right.
31:52
SPEAKER_00: But not for the reason you thought, just because they decided they were gonna have it last for forever.
31:57
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
31:58
SPEAKER_00: Alright, so Jesse, looking at our next two episodes, episode 94 and 95, we have the title Stepping Down and Goku versus Krillin.
32:08
SPEAKER_00: What do you think is gonna happen?
32:09
SPEAKER_01: Well, I think in the stepping down one, it's like maybe Jackie steps like concedes, maybe?
32:19
SPEAKER_01: Because he's like got so too beat up and he like concedes or Okay.
32:24
SPEAKER_01: Maybe there's some big reveal that Jackie's actually Roshi, and then like after that reveal, Roshi's like, I concede.
32:30
SPEAKER_01: Maybe I don't know.
32:31
SPEAKER_01: Why would that be a thing, Jesse?
32:33
SPEAKER_01: I don't know, maybe I that's why I mean I'm just thinking, I'm I'm throwing stuff out.
32:36
SPEAKER_00: Why would you even throw that out there?
32:37
SPEAKER_00: We I know that Jackie's not Roshi.
32:39
SPEAKER_00: They talked about those during the last fight, the last tournament saga, where he explains his le genealogy to Goku.
32:46
SPEAKER_01: I I'm just saying, I mean, maybe like just you know, throwing something on the wall.
32:50
SPEAKER_01: Because like what how who else is stepping down at the end?
32:53
SPEAKER_01: Maybe TN gives up.
32:54
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, by by my my tournament bracket, I'm putting Tien to advance.
33:00
SPEAKER_01: It's gotta be something to do with Jackie, I assume.
33:02
SPEAKER_00: So what do you think is gonna happen in Goku versus Krelen?
33:05
SPEAKER_01: Um, there's a pretty good chance that that's actually that either is like they end it at the very end and Goku wins, or it's a two-episode fight.
33:13
SPEAKER_01: Okay, what are you gonna pick?
33:14
SPEAKER_01: Uh I'm gonna d I'm gonna because of how like drawn out these last couple of fights are I'm gonna go two episode.
33:22
SPEAKER_01: I feel like they're trying to extend stuff.
33:24
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it does kind of feel like that.
33:26
SPEAKER_00: Um, so Jesse, you'll say that Jackie concedes on the first episode, and then Goku and Crollin start in the second episode, going into the third episode.
33:35
SPEAKER_00: Or the next episode.
33:36
SPEAKER_00: We're not gonna do a three episode, sorry about that.
33:37
SPEAKER_00: No, that's not a spoiler.
33:39
SPEAKER_00: We're gonna do it.
33:40
SPEAKER_00: Um, so Jesse, with that, what was your worst part?
33:45
SPEAKER_00: Hmm.
33:46
SPEAKER_00: I have mine.
33:47
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you can go first while I didn't.
33:49
SPEAKER_00: The first half of the second episode is my worst part of these two episodes.
33:53
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
33:54
SPEAKER_01: It's hard not to pick it because I mean I actually enjoyed the Goku subplot of getting pseudo-kidnapped and lots happen to save him.
34:04
SPEAKER_00: It was annoying to watch because it has nothing to do with anything.
34:08
SPEAKER_00: But at least it's kind of exc it has some fun to it.
34:12
SPEAKER_01: Like, it's fun to see Launch, like how much Launch actually semi-cares about Goku.
34:18
SPEAKER_01: It at minimum semi-cares about Goku, where it's like, I don't want him to miss this fight.
34:22
SPEAKER_01: You let me go save Goku from these weird guys that just threw him in a car.
34:26
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
34:27
SPEAKER_00: But yeah, that's for me, it's just like the first half is like it as unnecessary and boring as it can be.
34:37
SPEAKER_01: It's like, yeah, you can still have some of it.
34:39
SPEAKER_01: Like you still have him getting shot by River Bullet, but you don't have to extend it for an extra like few minutes.
34:46
SPEAKER_01: We don't have to have like them talking about Roshi in front of Jackie and then like Jackie sneaking off because he gets the same idea that maybe Roshi had, where it's like, oh, you you know, let me go purbing people with the shopping district market type.
35:02
SPEAKER_00: Um one thing we forgot to mention during the our beginning of the episode is what is the logistics of this map of this island?
35:09
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, forget about that.
35:11
SPEAKER_00: This is like a whole city on this island.
35:13
SPEAKER_00: And we thought, like, my general idea of this island was it was just the temple with like some small shopping centers.
35:21
SPEAKER_01: No, I'm I'm I'm beginning to think it might be like, you know, maybe about the size of like like you know, a s one of the middle, medium-sized Hawaiian islands, possibly now.
35:30
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
35:30
SPEAKER_01: It might honestly it feels like it could be like a play on like Honolulu and Hawaii, like that like the main Hawaii, Honolulu Island.
35:40
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
35:40
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
35:41
SPEAKER_01: Um now they're like seeing how big the city is as they're driving through it with Goku and like seeing how like the structures in different places.
35:49
SPEAKER_01: Like it feels like it could be going for that type of vibe.
35:51
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, not to real not to just derail our worst part.
35:54
SPEAKER_00: But that was just something I thought about.
35:56
SPEAKER_00: My my honorable mention for worst part is the whole uh impetus behind the training with Goku and Krillin, where it's Roshi's trying to show off for the girls and he's getting jealous that they're in uh like they are into um the boys, into the boys.
36:11
SPEAKER_00: So he decides he's gonna train with them to show them how strong and powerful he is.
36:15
SPEAKER_01: Which then sets up Goku getting connected later.
36:17
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
36:18
SPEAKER_00: But like the impetus behind the fighting itself, like if you just decided he was like time to train a little bit, that'd be different.
36:26
SPEAKER_00: It's like a warm-up training.
36:27
SPEAKER_00: Slash, like, I want to see how strong you are in my own hands, like that kind of thing.
36:31
SPEAKER_00: I would be okay.
36:32
SPEAKER_00: But the whole impetus behind it, just that's an honorable mention.
36:36
SPEAKER_00: Um Best part, Jesse, what was yours?
36:40
SPEAKER_01: I mean, it you really can't choose there's two things you can choose here.
36:44
SPEAKER_01: It's how much do you enjoy Goku just absolutely wiping the floor with the Aura Farmer pomp hut?
36:50
SPEAKER_01: Or do would you do you prefer like how absolutely intense the TN Jackie fight is?
36:56
SPEAKER_01: And I'm gonna go for the T and Jackie fight.
36:58
SPEAKER_01: Like I think it's just so it's well animated, it's fun to see like, okay, so Tien and uh Chatsu have learned similar things because they both have like the ability to fly or float or levitate, whatever it is they're doing.
37:11
SPEAKER_01: They they can keep themselves in the air by their own means of some kind.
37:16
SPEAKER_00: My uh my best part of that fight is everything past when Jackie throws his top off.
37:22
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, the top off.
37:23
SPEAKER_00: Like from that point on, it just becomes it just evolves into just a a brawl.
37:28
SPEAKER_00: It's just that's my favorite part.
37:30
SPEAKER_00: It's like a dirty street fight.
37:32
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
37:33
SPEAKER_01: You walk up on a on a group of people in like the back alleys of New York, and you're like, Yeah, I might as well watch.
37:40
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
37:40
SPEAKER_00: And then these guys just watch two people go out to town.
37:43
SPEAKER_00: These guys are just like throwing haymakers at each other.
37:45
SPEAKER_00: There's no rhyme or reason.
37:47
SPEAKER_00: It doesn't even look like it's skillful fighting because they're both just land and hits.
37:52
SPEAKER_00: Like there's no defense, it's just two offensive tanks hitting each other.
37:56
SPEAKER_00: Um, but Jesse, uh, with that, I would like to thank you all for listening and remind you to download subscriber rate review.
