- 0:01Speaker 1: Now, 710WOR presents The Mark Simone Show.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Hey, it's one week from Election Day. It's one week
- 0:12Speaker 2: from today. I'll give you all the latest polling in
- 0:14Speaker 2: a moment. And Israel elections are today. They're taking place
- 0:19Speaker 2: as we speak. It's, well, the time difference is it's
- 0:25Speaker 2: six hours later. in Israel, normally seven, but they go
- 0:30Speaker 2: off daylight saving time a week before we do. So
- 0:32Speaker 2: right now, there's a period of a week where it's
- 0:34Speaker 2: a six-hour time difference. So it would be afternoon, getting
- 0:40Speaker 2: to be late afternoon there. The voting taking place, we'll
- 0:43Speaker 2: go over that election. President Trump all over the place,
- 0:47Speaker 2: crisscrossing the nation. He goes to Texas today, speaking for
- 0:52Speaker 2: hours at rallies. Got a little raspy. And of course,
- 0:56Speaker 2: fake news went immediately to work, declaring him dying. What's
- 1:00Speaker 2: wrong with him? Something's wrong with him. Clearly, this is
- 1:04Speaker 2: he's getting he's worse than Joe Biden. Listen, he's flying
- 1:08Speaker 2: all over the country. He's been in like 12 states
- 1:11Speaker 2: in five days. He is doing three hour rallies every day.
- 1:15Speaker 2: You tend to get a little raspy after that.
- 1:17Speaker 3: I feel great.
- 1:18Speaker 4: I was shouting at people because they were stupid about
- 1:22Speaker 4: something having to do with a trade in a country
- 1:27Speaker 4: and i straighten it out but i blew my stack
- 1:30Speaker 4: at these people well.
- 1:31Speaker 5: It sounds like there's a follow-up there but can i
- 1:34Speaker 5: ask you about venezuela you suggested what it sounds like
- 1:37Speaker 5: there's a follow-up there can i ask you about venezuela you.
- 1:39Speaker 6: Said there was a polyp i don't want to.
- 1:43Speaker 2: Hear that well yeah no besides these three-hour speeches these
- 1:48Speaker 2: loud rallies he's good at yelling at people too All right,
- 1:52Speaker 2: now this is the big controversy in the world today.
- 1:54Speaker 2: President Obama, former President Obama, attacks Trump. He's out there
- 2:01Speaker 2: stumping for candidates now. He's in Michigan because Al-Sayed is
- 2:05Speaker 2: in real trouble with black voters. They think Obama can
- 2:07Speaker 2: help there. But I don't think people have looked at
- 2:12Speaker 2: Obama's track record as a campaigner for other people, as
- 2:16Speaker 2: an endorser for other people. It's a bad track record.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Most of the people, almost everybody he endorses or campaigns for, loses.
- 2:24Speaker 2: It happens all the time. Remember in 2024, election time,
- 2:29Speaker 2: Kamala Harris was in trouble. He went out there to
- 2:31Speaker 2: stump her. And of course, every time he does this,
- 2:35Speaker 2: the person loses. Now, the big controversy, the major controversy,
- 2:42Speaker 2: the way Trump decorates. Now, Obama went after him, making
- 2:45Speaker 2: fun of him. He said, the guy spends all his
- 2:47Speaker 2: time on Home renovation. Okay, there is... No, he doesn't
- 2:52Speaker 2: spend all his time on it. Nine to five, he's
- 2:54Speaker 2: president of the United States. Five to seven, he goes
- 2:57Speaker 2: to work with the contractors. He has really fixed up
- 3:00Speaker 2: the White House. It was in terrible shape. A lot
- 3:03Speaker 2: of stuff was really decaying, decrepit, and he fixed it. Now,
- 3:06Speaker 2: the Oval Office, that's a different story. I mean, I
- 3:10Speaker 2: don't think anybody looks at what he's done with the
- 3:11Speaker 2: Oval Office and takes the picture and gives it to
- 3:14Speaker 2: their decorator and says, I want this. I don't think
- 3:17Speaker 2: anybody wants that. It's a little... Let's be honest, it's Liberace-ish.
- 3:24Speaker 2: But it's not as bad as Obama makes it out
- 3:26Speaker 2: to be. And Obama said, looks like Saddam Hussein opened
- 3:30Speaker 2: a cheesecake factory. Well, I don't think he realized he's
- 3:34Speaker 2: an elitist, Martha's Vineyard sort of a guy. He was
- 3:38Speaker 2: putting down Cheesecake Factory, which is a big, wonderful place
- 3:41Speaker 2: to most Americans. And to most Americans, it's an upscale
- 3:45Speaker 2: sort of a place. It's not something to be demeaned.
- 3:48Speaker 2: So And who, oh, it was Besson, Scott Besson, whenever.
- 3:52Speaker 2: Scott Besson, good for him. Yesterday, he went to the
- 3:55Speaker 2: Cheesecake Factory and had lunch. And as he came out,
- 3:59Speaker 2: the reporters, oh, what are you? He goes, I always
- 4:02Speaker 2: order the French dip cheeseburger. Wow, that did sound good.
- 4:06Speaker 2: He's a big Cheesecake Factory person. And he said, maybe
- 4:11Speaker 2: you elitists in the Martha's Vineyard set ought to try
- 4:15Speaker 2: Cheesecake Factory. So that was the problem. Obama seemed a
- 4:18Speaker 2: little out of touch with normal America on that. But
- 4:21Speaker 2: Trump responded yesterday.
- 4:23Speaker 3: He said, this isn't a cheesecake factory. Can you believe it?
- 4:26Speaker 3: Which is a very successful company. This isn't. He doesn't
- 4:30Speaker 3: like successful companies.
- 4:32Speaker 6: I've taken care of the White House. I fixed it
- 4:35Speaker 6: with the finest artisans in the world. We have to
- 4:38Speaker 6: explain that to Obama because he doesn't understand it because
- 4:41Speaker 6: he's not a smart guy. Let me tell you, in
- 4:43Speaker 6: my opinion, he's not smart at all. Because the way
- 4:46Speaker 6: he ran the country, only a stupid person would run
- 4:49Speaker 6: the country like that.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, you want to fix your house and
- 4:53Speaker 2: you bring a contractor in and you see the six
- 4:55Speaker 2: things wrong. And when this professional eye comes in, he
- 4:58Speaker 2: sees like eight other things you didn't see. So Trump,
- 5:00Speaker 2: a professional builder, one of the best in America, comes
- 5:03Speaker 2: into the White House. And a lot of it was
- 5:05Speaker 2: actually decrepit. You know, when those world leaders come to
- 5:09Speaker 2: visit Congress. And Monica Crowley greets him outside and then
- 5:12Speaker 2: brings him in. Well, the first place they come into,
- 5:14Speaker 2: this big lobby, it's called the Palm Court. It was
- 5:18Speaker 2: really decrepit. It was like old linoleum floors and the
- 5:21Speaker 2: walls were like peeling wallpaper. So the first thing Trump did,
- 5:25Speaker 2: he put in beautiful marble floors and beautiful walls and
- 5:28Speaker 2: fixed it up. And then as he walked around the
- 5:30Speaker 2: White House, there were pieces of molding cracked and ornaments
- 5:34Speaker 2: on the windows cracked. And they had to be replaced.
- 5:38Speaker 2: You know, he had to. So he's got a point.
- 5:41Speaker 2: Why didn't Obama or any of these other people, Joe
- 5:43Speaker 2: Biden's half blind bumping into walls, he probably cracked the ornaments.
- 5:47Speaker 2: But why didn't Obama see this?
- 5:50Speaker 6: We have to explain to Obama that the White House
- 5:53Speaker 6: is a symbol of America and it has to be
- 5:55Speaker 6: maintained properly. It has to be painted and the exterior
- 5:59Speaker 6: plaster can't be fallen off the walls. And the decorations
- 6:03Speaker 6: and ornaments around the windows that are magnificent can't be
- 6:07Speaker 6: on one side of the window and fallen off on
- 6:09Speaker 6: the other side. It has to be clean. The columns
- 6:13Speaker 6: can't be broken. The bricks can't be falling off from
- 6:17Speaker 6: under the plaster. And for you to say it's a
- 6:22Speaker 6: cheesecake factory, that just shows why you were a lousy president.
- 6:26Speaker 2: So he really went after him. And he has replaced
- 6:29Speaker 2: all this stuff. And it's not easy. You know, those
- 6:31Speaker 2: Ornaments on the side, those carvings are a hundred years old.
- 6:35Speaker 2: He had to have an expert come and make a
- 6:37Speaker 2: molding so they could recreate them for the other side.
- 6:39Speaker 2: Did a lot of work to fix things up. So, hey,
- 6:43Speaker 2: there's a new survey that comes out. They do this
- 6:45Speaker 2: every year of the best governors in America. It's based
- 6:49Speaker 2: on a lot of factors, economics, crime, people's life standards.
- 6:57Speaker 2: It's a lot of factors, very careful study. Guess who won?
- 7:02Speaker 2: Kathy Hochul as the worst governor in America. Single worst
- 7:08Speaker 2: governor in America. Came in 50th place. 50th place. Throw
- 7:13Speaker 2: her the hell out one week from today. Vote for
- 7:17Speaker 2: Bruce Blakeman one week from today. Actually, don't even wait.
- 7:21Speaker 2: Go do it today. Now, there's some new polling, detailed polling,
- 7:27Speaker 2: on voter enthusiasm and voter likelihood. And here's the thing,
- 7:31Speaker 2: with Democrats in the new polling, they are much more
- 7:35Speaker 2: enthusiastic than Republicans. They're coming out in huge numbers in
- 7:41Speaker 2: the early voting, far more than Republicans. But in the polling,
- 7:48Speaker 2: it shows that when it comes to election day, Republicans
- 7:52Speaker 2: will turn out in greater numbers. They're more committed. There
- 7:56Speaker 2: could be more voting, but They've got to get out there.
- 7:59Speaker 2: So it's all about turnout. If Republicans turn out, they
- 8:04Speaker 2: will win this election. If Republicans turn out. It's all
- 8:06Speaker 2: about turnout. And I keep telling you, do it now.
- 8:08Speaker 2: Do it this week. Do the early voting. There's no lines.
- 8:11Speaker 2: You can walk right in. And it's much easier. Don't
- 8:17Speaker 2: wait until Election Day because you never know. Who knows?
- 8:20Speaker 2: Election Day, it's pouring rain. You don't want to go.
- 8:22Speaker 2: Election Day, you get busy. You can't go. Do it
- 8:24Speaker 2: this week. You can do the early voting now. Get
- 8:27Speaker 2: to the polls and vote. Michigan, El-Sayed, it's interesting. He's going,
- 8:34Speaker 2: he must be having trouble with his base because he's
- 8:37Speaker 2: going full anti-Semite. He's an anti-Semitic guy. He hates Jews,
- 8:42Speaker 2: just like Mamdani, just like a lot of Democrat candidates.
- 8:45Speaker 2: They just, I don't know where this came from, this anti-Semitism.
- 8:50Speaker 2: It just sprung up over the last decade. Now it's
- 8:53Speaker 2: out of control. In the El-Sayed campaign, there's now an
- 8:57Speaker 2: ad running that Hitler could have made this ad. Literally,
- 9:01Speaker 2: it's the most anti-Semitic, disgusting ad. Now, it's made by
- 9:05Speaker 2: an outside PAC, and you are supposed to believe that
- 9:09Speaker 2: El-Sayed had nothing to do with it and no knowledge
- 9:12Speaker 2: of it. But, I don't know, you do the math.
- 9:15Speaker 2: It's anti-Semitic. It's a couple in a grocery store. The
- 9:19Speaker 2: prices are so high, and they blame the Jews. This
- 9:22Speaker 2: is what Hitler did. He would run these kind of
- 9:23Speaker 2: ads all over the place. about how the Jews are
- 9:26Speaker 2: the reason you're paying more money, the Jews are the problem,
- 9:29Speaker 2: everything is caused by the Jews. Listen to this ad.
- 9:31Speaker 7: Honey.
- 9:32Speaker 6: What?
- 9:33Speaker 8: You're going to have to put those eggs back.
- 9:35Speaker 2: They don't like eggs anymore?
- 9:36Speaker 7: No, they like eggs, but.
- 9:38Speaker 8: We have to set that $ 7 aside for killing Palestinians.
- 9:43Speaker 9: What?
- 9:43Speaker 2: I mean, don't we give Israel $ 4 billion a year anyways?
- 9:46Speaker 8: Yeah, and now we're giving them another $ 26 billion. Do
- 9:51Speaker 8: you know how much that is per American taxpayer? It's
- 9:55Speaker 8: like $ 161 per person. Apparently it's costing us a lot
- 9:59Speaker 8: of money to drop bombs.
- 10:00Speaker 2: On gaza all right this is out and out hitler
- 10:03Speaker 2: you know they love to throw that hitler one this
- 10:05Speaker 2: is hitler hitler used to do this in speeches and
- 10:08Speaker 2: his propaganda this is what led up to the holocaust
- 10:12Speaker 2: he blamed the jews for everything every problem you have
- 10:14Speaker 2: is the jews the high prices of the jews i
- 10:16Speaker 2: mean this is Out-and-out Hitler Nazi crap coming from El
- 10:20Speaker 2: Sayyad's side.
- 10:21Speaker 8: Might as well put the bananas back.
- 10:23Speaker 2: Why the f * * * do we have to
- 10:24Speaker 2: pay for all this?
- 10:27Speaker 8: Don't cuss at me.
- 10:29Speaker 2: Why does Mike Rogers care so much about what Israelis
- 10:32Speaker 2: want and so little about what you want? Mike Rogers
- 10:35Speaker 2: is for.
- 10:36Speaker 3: They, them.
- 10:38Speaker 2: Alright, it's out-and-out Hitler. It's Joe Garibalds. It's Joseph Garibalds.
- 10:45Speaker 2: This is where Al-Sayed is headed in a desperate finish
- 10:51Speaker 2: in this race. It's the most disgusting thing we've seen
- 10:54Speaker 2: in American politics in decades and decades and decades. Absolutely disgusting. Now,
- 11:01Speaker 2: you know that ad with the Ohio candidate's mother? This
- 11:06Speaker 2: is all the networks talk about. This is all the
- 11:08Speaker 2: New York Times. They're going to focus on this ad.
- 11:10Speaker 2: They're going to make this ad an issue. This ad
- 11:13Speaker 2: right here, this Hitler ad, they'll never mention it. They'll
- 11:17Speaker 2: never mention it. They'll cover it up. NBC, ABC, CBS,
- 11:22Speaker 2: The New York Times, they'll all cover up this ad. CNN,
- 11:26Speaker 2: they won't cover it. It's the most disgusting thing ever.
- 11:30Speaker 2: Speaking of CNN, you know, it's been bought by Skydance,
- 11:34Speaker 2: the big company, Paramount, CBS, Skydance. They bought a Warner
- 11:39Speaker 2: Brothers Discovery product. So they now own CNN, HBO, and
- 11:43Speaker 2: all this stuff. But they've got to cut costs. They've
- 11:45Speaker 2: announced an employee buyout program. They're going to get rid
- 11:50Speaker 2: of a lot of people. A lot of people. They're
- 11:55Speaker 2: looking at anybody with over 15 years of experience. They
- 11:58Speaker 2: have been sent a buyout package. They're also demanding everybody
- 12:03Speaker 2: return to work. You've got to be in the office
- 12:06Speaker 2: five days a week. And one reason companies do that,
- 12:10Speaker 2: it's a good way to get rid of people. A
- 12:11Speaker 2: lot of people will quit over it. So it's five
- 12:13Speaker 2: days a week in the office. The new owner, David Ellison,
- 12:18Speaker 2: says he's got to save, he's got to cut $ 6
- 12:21Speaker 2: billion in costs. So they're going to fire a lot
- 12:25Speaker 2: of people. They'll buy them out, pay them off. But
- 12:27Speaker 2: a lot of people are going. $ 6 billion. You know,
- 12:31Speaker 2: they owe $ 82 billion. That's the debt on this purchase.
- 12:35Speaker 2: They got $ 7. 9 billion in cash, but they owe $ 82 billion. Hey,
- 12:39Speaker 2: as I said, election day today in Israel, it's not
- 12:43Speaker 2: certain that Netanyahu will win. There's a lot of opposition
- 12:46Speaker 2: to him. The challenger, the second place, is Gadi Eisenkot.
- 12:52Speaker 2: And they got different views on the Iran war. Eisenkot
- 12:55Speaker 2: believes you can't get regime change. It's never going to happen.
- 13:00Speaker 2: He believes you got to put tremendous economic pressure on Iran.
- 13:05Speaker 2: And he will back strikes on the nuclear program, but
- 13:10Speaker 2: not an all-out return to war. He's a former head
- 13:14Speaker 2: of the Israeli Defense Forces. He just thinks regime change,
- 13:18Speaker 2: he says, is not an achievable goal. He's called for
- 13:21Speaker 2: a balance of military strikes and diplomacy to end the war.
- 13:28Speaker 2: I'll go with the Netanyahu approach, wipe them out. Hey,
- 13:32Speaker 2: this is important news. These green scheme climate change people
- 13:39Speaker 2: have proven to be wrong every time about everything. They
- 13:42Speaker 2: are always wrong on everything. The windmills were a total failure,
- 13:48Speaker 2: did more environmental harm than just about anything. The solar
- 13:51Speaker 2: panels are useless, don't produce enough energy. You know, in Europe,
- 13:55Speaker 2: parts of Europe, Germany, other countries went totally windmill solar
- 13:58Speaker 2: power for about two years, almost two. They had to
- 14:01Speaker 2: take it all down. It totally fails. It's None of
- 14:05Speaker 2: this stuff works. Remember the paper straws? You can't have
- 14:09Speaker 2: a plastic straw. You've got to have a paper straw,
- 14:12Speaker 2: and that's it. Well, the latest detailed study shows that
- 14:16Speaker 2: paper straws are worse for the environment than the plastic
- 14:19Speaker 2: ones in a lot of ways. Traditional plastic straws had
- 14:25Speaker 2: a much lower environmental footprint in 10 different categories. Paper
- 14:31Speaker 2: straws were found to generate over six times more carcinogens
- 14:35Speaker 2: than plastic straws, with double the impact on environmental acidification.
- 14:44Speaker 2: The paper straws, even the ones from the renewable sources,
- 14:49Speaker 2: you know, like sugar cane, produced 15 times more carcinogenic
- 14:54Speaker 2: factors than the regular plastic straws, six times the acidification. Uh,
- 15:01Speaker 2: and that's what the metric that scientists use to measure
- 15:03Speaker 2: changes in the ocean and all of that study found
- 15:06Speaker 2: the paper straws are so small when they, uh, go in,
- 15:10Speaker 2: when they go into that recycling stuff, they actually don't
- 15:14Speaker 2: get recycled. Almost none of them get recycled. They evade
- 15:17Speaker 2: the recycling stuff. Uh, and also their water resistant coatings
- 15:22Speaker 2: and industrial glues prevent them from breaking down easily demands
- 15:26Speaker 2: more energy to during the processing. And leaves open the
- 15:31Speaker 2: possibility that microplastics could end up in the recycled pulp.
- 15:36Speaker 2: So they are a disaster, the paper struts. They are
- 15:38Speaker 2: worse for the environment than the plastic struts. This happens
- 15:42Speaker 2: every time the Green Scheme climate change Dems try something. Hey,
- 15:47Speaker 2: we got a lot to get to this morning. A
- 15:49Speaker 2: lot to talk about. I'm here three hours now. nine
- 15:52Speaker 2: to noon every day, nine to noon here on seven,
- 15:55Speaker 2: 10 W O.
- 15:56Speaker 1: R live from the W O R life back studios,
- 16:00Speaker 1: the Mark Simone show.
- 16:04Speaker 2: Well, Hey, it's a beautiful day. It's going to be
- 16:06Speaker 2: beautiful all week. Bright sunshine. It's a cooler today. It's
- 16:09Speaker 2: going to be a autumn weather, but beautiful, bright sunshine.
- 16:13Speaker 2: There's no rain in the forecast for the next six days.
- 16:17Speaker 2: Lot going on all over the place. Now, um, the U.S., Canada,
- 16:23Speaker 2: the tariffs, the trade war, the tariff war, the this, that. Apparently,
- 16:29Speaker 2: they're very close to settling this. Negotiations have picked up,
- 16:33Speaker 2: gathering steam, according to Kevin Hassett, director of National Economic Council,
- 16:38Speaker 2: a very good guy. Trump, talking about the timeline, said
- 16:44Speaker 2: it could be before the election, so expect it later
- 16:47Speaker 2: this week. Expect a total settlement of all our Battles
- 16:52Speaker 2: with Canada. They've been, he points out, they've been making
- 16:56Speaker 2: $ 90 billion a year off us for years and years
- 16:58Speaker 2: and years, taking advantage of a trade imbalance. So the
- 17:02Speaker 2: tariffs have kind of leveled the playing field, but they're
- 17:04Speaker 2: working out something. Talks have been taking place around the clock.
- 17:09Speaker 2: Our Commerce Secretary, Howard Lutnick, his Canadian counterpart, Dominic LeBlanc,
- 17:15Speaker 2: have been negotiating. So it looks like that'll be settled
- 17:18Speaker 2: very soon. which will not make Democrats happy. They'll be
- 17:21Speaker 2: very upset. Look how they're yelling and screaming about these
- 17:25Speaker 2: tariffs with Canada. They've made it a big issue in Michigan.
- 17:28Speaker 2: This is all they do and yell and scream about
- 17:30Speaker 2: the tariffs with Canada. The tariffs, they're going crazy over it.
- 17:33Speaker 2: Now watch when it's settled, they'll never mention it. They
- 17:37Speaker 2: won't report it got settled. They'll never mention it ever again.
- 17:39Speaker 2: They'll go back to calling them a racist or something
- 17:42Speaker 2: like that. You know, in Europe, Cities are burning, rioters, protesters.
- 17:50Speaker 2: And these are not students. I mean, started with students,
- 17:53Speaker 2: but these are Antifa. These are Middle Eastern crazy Islamic
- 17:58Speaker 2: terrorist group. I mean, these are all kinds of professional
- 18:01Speaker 2: agitators and terrorist groups behind all this stuff. Well, in
- 18:06Speaker 2: the UK, in the United Kingdom, they just told families
- 18:10Speaker 2: to stock up on emergency supplies. They said, Be ready.
- 18:18Speaker 2: They're talking about be ready for war in the country,
- 18:21Speaker 2: in the streets. This is actually a campaign they're doing.
- 18:24Speaker 2: They're telling everybody in the public, stock up on all
- 18:28Speaker 2: emergency supplies, food, medicine. Let's see. They're talking canned food,
- 18:35Speaker 2: stock up canned food, diapers, batteries, backup cell phone charging packs,
- 18:40Speaker 2: have enough cash indoors. They're worried that systems there could
- 18:45Speaker 2: be hacked, the local banking systems could be shut down.
- 18:49Speaker 2: They're worried about terrorism, wildfires, floods, cyber attacks. This is
- 18:55Speaker 2: what it's come to in Europe. This is the UK
- 18:59Speaker 2: officially making this announcement. So, hey, the other thing, I
- 19:03Speaker 2: told you about this new polling. The other thing showing
- 19:05Speaker 2: in the polling is more and more swing voters, the independents,
- 19:08Speaker 2: the swing voters, very troubled by socialism. by this democratic
- 19:14Speaker 2: socialist crap. Starting to sour on it, when asked about
- 19:18Speaker 2: their views, 56% had an unfavorable view. That's up from 50%. 60%
- 19:28Speaker 2: feel the Democratic Party is controlled by far-left nuts. That's
- 19:32Speaker 2: up from 50% in September. 82% say they favor personal
- 19:37Speaker 2: freedom and free markets over government control. People in the survey,
- 19:44Speaker 2: normal common sense people said nothing is free. There's an
- 19:48Speaker 2: agenda behind all these problems. of free benefits. You remember,
- 19:53Speaker 2: check out my Twitter. If you go to my Twitter,
- 19:56Speaker 2: there's a great video up there of the lies that
- 19:59Speaker 2: Obama pushed selling Obamacare. Of course, the big one was
- 20:02Speaker 2: if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor.
- 20:04Speaker 2: But it was more than that. It was him promising
- 20:08Speaker 2: over and over again as soon as you put in
- 20:09Speaker 2: this obamacare health care costs would drop dramatically of course
- 20:13Speaker 2: just the opposite happened they went crazy and uh the
- 20:18Speaker 2: other thing pointing out if you like your insurance you
- 20:20Speaker 2: can keep you well that didn't work you know a
- 20:22Speaker 2: lot of people have great insurance in this race in
- 20:25Speaker 2: michigan you got a lot of auto workers in michigan
- 20:29Speaker 2: and their union has a health care plan is one
- 20:31Speaker 2: of those cadillac plans you don't pay anything nothing you
- 20:34Speaker 2: don't pay anything And you get incredible coverage. So to
- 20:37Speaker 2: lose that to government health care, this is not something
- 20:42Speaker 2: they want to see there. Bruce Blakeman doing better and
- 20:45Speaker 2: better and better. But you got to get out there
- 20:47Speaker 2: and vote. Do it early. Do the early voting. And
- 20:50Speaker 2: you can get Blakeman easily across the finish line. He's
- 20:52Speaker 2: out campaigning all over the place.
- 20:54Speaker 10: Kathy Hochul is the most pro-criminal governor in the United
- 20:58Speaker 10: States of America. The Ten Commandments say thou shall not steal.
- 21:03Speaker 10: She changed it to thou shall not steal, except in
- 21:05Speaker 10: New York.
- 21:06Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 21:08Speaker 2: He's not exaggerating when he says the most pro-criminal. In
- 21:10Speaker 2: other words, and blame Cuomo, too. Cuomo and Hochul have
- 21:14Speaker 2: this no bail, no jail thing. which is absolutely ridiculous.
- 21:19Speaker 2: You can get caught robbing somebody, a holdup, and then
- 21:24Speaker 2: they take you to court and they see that this
- 21:26Speaker 2: is your 27th time in the last six months. And
- 21:29Speaker 2: there's no bail, no jail. You let go right back
- 21:32Speaker 2: out in the street to do it again. And they
- 21:34Speaker 2: all know this. The criminals all know this. That's why
- 21:37Speaker 2: they just do it over and over again. So worst
- 21:40Speaker 2: that could happen, they'll be dragged into a police station
- 21:42Speaker 2: in a courtroom and lose an hour of the day.
- 21:45Speaker 2: And then they're back out on the street. That's why
- 21:47Speaker 2: they come right into stores and steal everything. Just legalize shoplifting.
- 21:51Speaker 2: They know there's no penalty for it. As long as
- 21:54Speaker 2: you're under a thousand dollars. These are professional rings of
- 21:57Speaker 2: shoplifters who've trained all these kids how to steal $ 999
- 22:02Speaker 2: and never hit the thousand dollar mark. And they just
- 22:07Speaker 2: do it all the time. That's why everything's locked up
- 22:09Speaker 2: in the drugstore. You know, You want razor blade. It's
- 22:15Speaker 2: locked up. You want some aspirin. It's locked up. You
- 22:18Speaker 2: got to push the button for the manager. You got
- 22:21Speaker 2: to wait five minutes. Then the manager comes over with
- 22:25Speaker 2: the key looking at you like, why are you bothering me?
- 22:28Speaker 2: Like you really disrupted her day. She's like, Matt, you
- 22:32Speaker 2: want to buy something? Now you point. Well, what do
- 22:35Speaker 2: you want?
- 22:36Speaker 6: That.
- 22:36Speaker 2: Then she opens it. Still doesn't know what to hand you.
- 22:40Speaker 2: It's the worst pain in the neck. They're starting to
- 22:44Speaker 2: do it now in California. Their crime is so out
- 22:46Speaker 2: of control. They're starting to do this, believe it or not,
- 22:49Speaker 2: in supermarkets. The best cuts of beef, the most expensive steaks,
- 22:55Speaker 2: locked up. You got to push the button, wait for
- 22:57Speaker 2: the manager to come over and give it to you.
- 22:59Speaker 2: But this is HOKL. Cuomo started this with the no bail,
- 23:02Speaker 2: no jail. Police will tell you that most of the
- 23:05Speaker 2: crime on the streets, it's the same 2,500 criminals over
- 23:09Speaker 2: and over and over again. They know who they are.
- 23:13Speaker 2: If you let them turn the police loose, they could
- 23:15Speaker 2: go round them all up in two weeks and that'd
- 23:17Speaker 2: be the end of all of this stuff. And we
- 23:19Speaker 2: could go back to normal. But Alvin Bragg and Kathy Hochul,
- 23:22Speaker 2: Alvin Bragg is this horrible, horrible district attorney. He doesn't
- 23:26Speaker 2: put anybody in jail. Let's all the criminals back out.
- 23:30Speaker 2: And Hochul has the power to remove him. That's another
- 23:33Speaker 2: reason you want Blakeman. He'll get something done. He'll put
- 23:36Speaker 2: a stop to this. No bail, no jail. And if
- 23:38Speaker 2: he has to, he'll remove Alvin Bragg as the district attorney.
- 23:42Speaker 2: The governor has the power to do that. The district
- 23:44Speaker 2: attorneys work for the state, for the governor. DeSantis had
- 23:47Speaker 2: to do that in Florida. He had one of these
- 23:49Speaker 2: Alvin Bragg crazies letting everybody loose. DeSantis removed the DA
- 23:54Speaker 2: from office and put in a real DA who started
- 23:56Speaker 2: locking criminals up and everything changed. Everything got a lot better. Hey,
- 24:01Speaker 2: we got a lot more to get to. We'll take
- 24:03Speaker 2: some calls coming up. All sorts of stuff this morning.
- 24:06Speaker 2: It's Mark Simone here. Three hours now, nine to noon,
- 24:09Speaker 2: nine to noon. on 710WOR. Mark Simone is back on 710WOR.
- 24:13Speaker 11: Well, hey, we'll take some calls coming up.
- 24:14Speaker 3: 800-321-0710 is the number.
- 24:15Speaker 12: 800-321-0710.
- 24:15Speaker 1: World Series could be over tonight.
- 24:16Speaker 5: It's 3-0.
- 24:16Speaker 11: I got home later last night.
- 24:17Speaker 2: I said, oh, I'm going to watch this game. It's
- 24:19Speaker 2: going to be an exciting game, World Series. I turned
- 24:22Speaker 2: it on. 10-0 in the seventh. All right, it's not
- 24:41Speaker 2: going to be such an exciting game. It turns out
- 24:43Speaker 2: it was the mismatch of the century. But, hey, gas prices.
- 24:49Speaker 2: I'm looking at that. I'm watching CNN. Look at this, CNN.
- 24:52Speaker 2: This is all talking about gas prices, gas prices, gas prices.
- 24:55Speaker 2: Number one issue, gas prices. Nobody has a lower approval
- 24:58Speaker 2: rating with gas prices than President Trump. I hate to
- 25:01Speaker 2: break it to CNN. There has never been an election
- 25:04Speaker 2: in the history of the world where the number one
- 25:06Speaker 2: issue was gas prices. Oh, it's an issue. It annoys people.
- 25:11Speaker 2: especially if you're in a business where you need gasoline
- 25:13Speaker 2: to do your business. But it's not the number one issue.
- 25:16Speaker 2: It never has been. It never will be. It's, again, annoying,
- 25:21Speaker 2: but you don't see everybody running around yelling about gas prices.
- 25:26Speaker 2: It's not the number one issue. Take it as a
- 25:28Speaker 2: tribute to Trump. When they're trying to really get him
- 25:31Speaker 2: on something, all they can come up with is gas prices.
- 25:33Speaker 2: They don't have anything else to hit him with. Otherwise,
- 25:37Speaker 2: economic statistics are phenomenal right now. Uh, James Carville, you
- 25:42Speaker 2: remember the old, uh, James Carville, that, uh, lizard looking, uh,
- 25:45Speaker 2: old fossil. Uh, he was like the big Clinton, uh, democratic, uh, uh,
- 25:50Speaker 2: you know, analyst, but, uh, he's now yelling and screaming
- 25:53Speaker 2: to put to these videos where he's yelling and he's
- 25:55Speaker 2: screaming at progressives and democratic socialists. He goes, you did
- 26:00Speaker 2: irreparable damage. You've destroyed the party. You've done real damage.
- 26:05Speaker 2: All right, good. First guy to stand up to him,
- 26:07Speaker 2: but where's Schumer? Where's Hakeem Jeffries on all of this? Hey,
- 26:11Speaker 2: let's take some calls. 800-321-0710 is the number. Let's go
- 26:16Speaker 2: to David in California. David, how you doing?
- 26:19Speaker 9: Hi, Mark. You were talking about the Wall Street Journal yesterday.
- 26:25Speaker 2: Yeah, it's gotten pretty bad.
- 26:26Speaker 9: Just wanted to mention really quickly, it's always been two newspapers.
- 26:29Speaker 9: The editorial side's been conservative and the news side has
- 26:33Speaker 9: been very liberal. But here's what's going on.
- 26:36Speaker 2: Well, it's gotten extremely liberal and too much fake news
- 26:40Speaker 2: in there lately. Too many fake stories lately.
- 26:42Speaker 9: Well, but Trump derangement syndrome has taken over the editorial side.
- 26:46Speaker 9: But here's the key to it.
- 26:47Speaker 2: I'm talking about the news side. News side. I'm talking
- 26:49Speaker 2: about the news side. Too many fake stories in there lately.
- 26:52Speaker 9: Right, but the way the journalists they're hiring are these
- 26:55Speaker 9: students that are so far left. And that's why, well,
- 27:00Speaker 9: you see it in TV news, you see it everywhere.
- 27:02Speaker 2: Well, they don't hire students at the Wall Street Journal.
- 27:04Speaker 2: They hire pretty experienced guys, but it's gone very left
- 27:06Speaker 2: and they've been caught with too much fake news lately.
- 27:10Speaker 2: You know, if you read some of these things, like the,
- 27:12Speaker 2: believe it or not, they still have a daily news
- 27:14Speaker 2: in New York. Remember the daily news? They still print it.
- 27:17Speaker 2: but it's like two interns writing it. So they just
- 27:20Speaker 2: put out a list, top 50 restaurants in New York.
- 27:22Speaker 2: It's the stupidest list you've ever seen because they got
- 27:25Speaker 2: some 22-year-old who's getting $ 75 a week to put together
- 27:28Speaker 2: this list. It's not like the old days of the
- 27:30Speaker 2: Daily News where the top people in their field are writing.
- 27:33Speaker 2: It's just a bunch of, couple of kids writing the
- 27:35Speaker 2: whole thing. Let's go to Chucky in Stony Brook. Chucky,
- 27:40Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 27:41Speaker 13: Hey, Mark.
- 27:42Speaker 5: Mark, how are you? Good to talk to you. Mark,
- 27:44Speaker 5: what is on God's green earth What is with Nancy Sinatra?
- 27:49Speaker 2: What do you mean?
- 27:49Speaker 9: And her bashing of Trump.
- 27:51Speaker 6: Oh.
- 27:52Speaker 9: She is, but her father would have loved Donald Trump.
- 27:55Speaker 2: No, he hated Trump. He hated, well, I'll tell you what. Trump,
- 27:59Speaker 2: a lot of the Trump personality is taken from Frank Sinatra.
- 28:03Speaker 2: It's the way Frank Sinatra was in real life. When
- 28:04Speaker 2: you hear the way Trump talks to the reporters and
- 28:06Speaker 2: yells and screams at people, calls people, that was Sinatra
- 28:09Speaker 2: in real life. So, he copied a lot of Sinatra's personality,
- 28:14Speaker 2: a lot of it. And then, And that rubbed Mr.
- 28:16Speaker 5: Sinatra.
- 28:17Speaker 2: No, what happened was when he got the casinos, he
- 28:20Speaker 2: then decided to hire Frank Sinatra to play the Taj Mahal.
- 28:23Speaker 2: That was the biggest thing he could do in the
- 28:25Speaker 2: casino world. And when he got Sinatra there, he started
- 28:29Speaker 2: doing all this stuff to Sinatra, nickel and diming him and,
- 28:32Speaker 2: you know, trying to screw around with the money. So
- 28:34Speaker 2: Sinatra wouldn't put up with this. So he ended up
- 28:36Speaker 2: hating Trump, hating him.
- 28:38Speaker 14: Wow.
- 28:38Speaker 9: Okay.
- 28:39Speaker 2: I also remember.
- 28:41Speaker 2: Those kids, Nancy and Tina Sinatra, very nice, but they
- 28:44Speaker 2: grew up at Beverly Hills High School. It was kind
- 28:46Speaker 2: of in Hollywood. You become very left-wing. So their father
- 28:51Speaker 2: hated them, and they're very left, which is normal if
- 28:55Speaker 2: you grew up in L.A. But thanks for calling. Let's
- 28:58Speaker 2: go to Jerry, Greenwich, Connecticut. Jerry, how are you doing?
- 29:03Speaker 9: I'm doing well. Thank you, Mark. I was wondering if
- 29:05Speaker 9: I give a little plug to my good friend, Ryan Fazio,
- 29:09Speaker 9: my friend, to vote for him.
- 29:11Speaker 2: Yeah, if you're in Connecticut, the governor, Ned Lamont, is
- 29:14Speaker 2: running for his third term. He was pretty good the
- 29:17Speaker 2: first term, not so hot the last term. He went
- 29:19Speaker 2: totally woke and left wing. Throw him the hell out.
- 29:22Speaker 9: I would like my friend to vote for him. I
- 29:24Speaker 9: like him.
- 29:24Speaker 2: I'm trying to plug him, and you keep cutting me off.
- 29:27Speaker 2: I'm trying to promote him. I'm trying to help you here.
- 29:31Speaker 2: And I know Ryan Fazio. He's a great guy. He'll
- 29:33Speaker 2: be a terrific governor. He's a wonderful, honest, decent, common
- 29:37Speaker 2: sense guy. So in Connecticut, vote for him. Ryan Fazio
- 29:41Speaker 2: for governor.
- 29:42Speaker 9: Yeah. I have a sign somewhere alone. It's on North Street,
- 29:48Speaker 9: and I hope that my friends vote for him.
- 29:51Speaker 2: Let me ask you a question. You live on North Street.
- 29:53Speaker 2: It's one of the most beautiful palatial streets in America.
- 29:55Speaker 2: These people that put up the lawn signs.
- 29:56Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 29:57Speaker 2: If you drive around Connecticut, you see these lawns, what
- 30:00Speaker 2: do you think? That a guy driving by will see
- 30:01Speaker 2: a sign and go, oh, my God, I guess I
- 30:03Speaker 2: got to switch my vote. I got to vote for it.
- 30:06Speaker 2: Do you think the lawn sign actually does anything?
- 30:10Speaker 9: Well, I stood for President Trump. I'm 87 now, and
- 30:16Speaker 9: I was 85, and I stood for 11 days for
- 30:19Speaker 9: President Trump. On North Street, cold, rain.
- 30:24Speaker 2: All right, but I just want to say, for all
- 30:25Speaker 2: of you with your lawn signs, throw the lawn sign away.
- 30:27Speaker 2: It's not helping anybody. Get out there, call the campaign, volunteer,
- 30:31Speaker 2: work a phone bank, go knock on doors. That's going
- 30:33Speaker 2: to help.
- 30:34Speaker 9: At my age, I don't have the strength to do it.
- 30:36Speaker 2: All right, but then you live on North Street. You're
- 30:39Speaker 2: a wealthy guy. Donate. Donate to Ryan Fazio.
- 30:42Speaker 9: Okay, that's what I'll do. Thank you. Thank you very much, Mark.
- 30:45Speaker 2: Thanks. That's a very important thing. One thing about Democrats,
- 30:48Speaker 2: they're like an army. They're out there like commandos. Yeah, Republicans,
- 30:53Speaker 2: they hold cocktail parties. They put up lawns. It doesn't help.
- 30:56Speaker 2: It's not doing anything. Get out there. Volunteer in a campaign.
- 31:00Speaker 2: Go to work. Do something. Let's go to Mike in Brooklyn. Mike,
- 31:03Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 31:05Speaker 9: Good morning, Mark.
- 31:06Speaker 15: Yesterday during the football game, they were airing an anti-Blakeman commercial.
- 31:10Speaker 9: And all these liberals could come up with is that
- 31:12Speaker 9: he's a Trump supporter. Nothing against policy, nothing like that.
- 31:16Speaker 2: They just don't want you to vote for him because
- 31:17Speaker 2: he's a fan of Trump. Yeah, well, that's a good point.
- 31:20Speaker 2: You know, the other thing is they did a hell
- 31:22Speaker 2: of a lot of opposition research on Blakeman. These dirty Democrats,
- 31:26Speaker 2: the Hochul, you know, dirty tactics. Boy, they did some
- 31:31Speaker 2: opposition research on Blakeman. And you know what they came
- 31:34Speaker 2: up with?
- 31:36Speaker 9: Nothing.
- 31:38Speaker 2: There's nothing bad about the guy. Nothing in his past.
- 31:40Speaker 2: Absolutely nothing. So the attack ads are all that he's
- 31:43Speaker 2: friends with Donald Trump. You know, Blakeman... has been in politics,
- 31:47Speaker 2: he's been in business for 30-something years. Of course he
- 31:50Speaker 2: knows Donald Trump. Blakeman was quite the well-prominent New York figure.
- 31:55Speaker 2: Everybody knows Donald Trump. He agrees with Trump on some things,
- 31:59Speaker 2: and he disagrees with Trump on some big issues, too.
- 32:02Speaker 2: But that's all they got on him. If they put
- 32:06Speaker 2: an ad on in Monday Night Football, that's an expensive ad.
- 32:10Speaker 2: So if Hochul spent the money to run an attack
- 32:13Speaker 2: ad in Monday Night Football, that means She's panicking. I mean,
- 32:18Speaker 2: she's seen the real polls, not the fake college polls,
- 32:21Speaker 2: but the real ones. And that's panic when you spend
- 32:24Speaker 2: that kind of money. Primetime Monday night football. That's like
- 32:28Speaker 2: the most watched thing of the week. So she's really,
- 32:31Speaker 2: really worried about Blakeman then. She's even got Mom Donnie
- 32:36Speaker 2: out there campaigning for her.
- 32:37Speaker 16: When they're looking at this gubernatorial election, what they're seeing
- 32:41Speaker 16: is that the governor has a clear record and a
- 32:43Speaker 16: clear vision of making life more affordable in the nation's
- 32:46Speaker 16: most expensive city. And Bruce Blakeman's vision is to work
- 32:50Speaker 16: closer with ICE and to create a private militia in
- 32:52Speaker 16: Nassau County.
- 32:55Speaker 2: Private militia. He did set up like in the case
- 32:59Speaker 2: of the highest emergency terrorist attack. He did put together
- 33:03Speaker 2: where ex-cops, ex-military that could be called in as volunteers.
- 33:08Speaker 2: It's like they do in the, you know, a lot
- 33:09Speaker 2: of towns have a volunteer fire department. It's not a militia.
- 33:13Speaker 2: And this part here.
- 33:14Speaker 16: When they're looking at this gubernatorial election, what they're seeing
- 33:18Speaker 16: is that the governor has a clear record and a
- 33:20Speaker 16: clear vision.
- 33:20Speaker 2: Yeah, now that's true. He's absolutely right. Kathy Hochul has
- 33:24Speaker 2: a clear record. It's not a good one, but it's clear.
- 33:29Speaker 2: It's pretty clear when you look at it. It's a
- 33:30Speaker 2: terrible record. It's awful, but it's clear. It's so clear.
- 33:34Speaker 2: I've seen clear, but this is really clear. It's clear.
- 33:38Speaker 2: She's no bail, no jail. Let the criminals out. If
- 33:41Speaker 2: you're here illegally and committing crimes, ICE is not allowed
- 33:44Speaker 2: to touch you. She's anti-law enforcement at every level. She
- 33:49Speaker 2: wants to tax you to death. She's the one with
- 33:52Speaker 2: the congestion pricing in every tax rate. She's had 48
- 33:56Speaker 2: increases on your electric bill. She set down... fracking she's
- 34:00Speaker 2: driven your electric it's a very very clear record it's
- 34:04Speaker 2: as clear as can be it's horrible but boy is
- 34:08Speaker 2: it clear uh hey we got a lot coming up
- 34:10Speaker 2: and don't forget at noon buck and clay do an
- 34:13Speaker 2: excellent show every day at 12 noon then at three
- 34:17Speaker 2: o'clock sean hannity is back uh he's been away uh
- 34:21Speaker 2: the honeymoon He'll be back. He'll be talking about all
- 34:26Speaker 2: of that today, 3 o'clock. And then you got Jesse
- 34:29Speaker 2: Kelly at 6. You got the very funny Jimmy Fail.
- 34:32Speaker 2: That's a great show. Every night at 9 here on 710WOR.
- 34:37Speaker 1: What's better than two hours of Mark Simone?
- 34:41Speaker 11: Three.
- 34:41Speaker 1: The Mark Simone Show. Now 9 till noon weekdays.
- 34:46Speaker 11: 710WOR.
- 34:50Speaker 2: Well, hey, remember we were talking about the Super Bowl
- 34:54Speaker 2: halftime show. They have a little committee that picks the
- 34:58Speaker 2: halftime entertainment. Jay-Z runs the committee. A lot of people
- 35:03Speaker 2: not too happy with the last few choices. Bad Bunny
- 35:06Speaker 2: was a little controversial. It was a pretty good show,
- 35:09Speaker 2: but they've come up with this year's halftime entertainment. They've
- 35:15Speaker 2: selected Jay-Z. You say, well, anyway, was he the head
- 35:20Speaker 2: of the selection committee? Yes, and he's selected himself. He
- 35:24Speaker 2: has said to himself, nobody in the world is as
- 35:28Speaker 2: good as me, so it'll be me. Kind of how
- 35:32Speaker 2: Dick Cheney became vice president. But remember, he was in
- 35:35Speaker 2: charge of selecting a vice president. Picked himself. But listen,
- 35:38Speaker 2: Jay-Z's as big and as good as anybody you're going
- 35:41Speaker 2: to get, so why not? It's the Apple Music Super
- 35:45Speaker 2: Bowl halftime show. LXI. What the hell is LXI? That
- 35:49Speaker 2: would be 61. 61st Super Bowl this year. Hey, it's
- 35:53Speaker 2: going to be a beautiful, sunny day. A little kind
- 35:56Speaker 2: of cold, but a beautiful, sunny autumn day. We've got
- 35:59Speaker 2: two more hours to go and a lot of stuff
- 36:01Speaker 2: to get to. And we'll do that right after the news.
- 36:03Speaker 2: Mark Simone here on 710WOR.
- 36:07Speaker 1: The Mark Simone Show. Nine till noon weekdays.
- 36:11Speaker 11: More Mark. 710WOR.
- 36:15Speaker 2: Hey, it's Tuesday. It's a beautiful day. A lot going on.
- 36:20Speaker 2: 60 Minutes. Boy, you can't trust them at all anymore.
- 36:24Speaker 2: You know, the problem is a lot of people still
- 36:26Speaker 2: read the New York Times believing it's a newspaper. And
- 36:32Speaker 2: some people still watch 60 Minutes thinking it's a news program.
- 36:35Speaker 2: They don't, you know, when you say fake news, they
- 36:37Speaker 2: don't really fully comprehend what it is. You know, it
- 36:41Speaker 2: doesn't really sink in. that you're being lied to. There's
- 36:44Speaker 2: so many fake stories, totally fake, fraudulent stories. The New
- 36:49Speaker 2: York Times has pushed. The Washington Post has pushed. And
- 36:54Speaker 2: 60 Minutes has been caught doctoring video. The Kamala Harris interview,
- 36:58Speaker 2: she wasn't able to answer a question, so they doctored
- 37:01Speaker 2: up the video, took an answer from a different question,
- 37:03Speaker 2: spliced it in. So, I mean, just out and out fraud.
- 37:08Speaker 2: They just did a piece on the Trump administration. I'm
- 37:11Speaker 2: not going to go after CBS again. 60 Minutes just
- 37:14Speaker 2: did a piece on this guy that was deported. ICE
- 37:18Speaker 2: came and deported the guy. And they did a piece.
- 37:21Speaker 2: It was so sympathetic. You know, he was a husband.
- 37:26Speaker 2: He was a father. And they just took him and
- 37:29Speaker 2: deported him. And it was a touching piece. He's the
- 37:34Speaker 2: father of two. He's married. Well, the Trump administration, furious,
- 37:40Speaker 2: they forgot to mention this guy committed fraud in his
- 37:43Speaker 2: immigration application. He lied. They found all kinds of fraud
- 37:47Speaker 2: in his immigration forms, and he lied about everything. So
- 37:52Speaker 2: they forgot to mention that in the piece. I mean,
- 37:55Speaker 2: you could argue, well, you still don't have to, but
- 37:57Speaker 2: the point is they forgot to mention it. Now, let's
- 37:59Speaker 2: be honest. They didn't forget to mention it. They left
- 38:01Speaker 2: it out. They deliberately left it out of the story.
- 38:06Speaker 2: You know, this story has been going around for a
- 38:07Speaker 2: week or two about Elon Musk, how he was trying
- 38:11Speaker 2: to get people killed. He was on Russia's side. He
- 38:14Speaker 2: was helping Putin. Ukraine depends on Starlink to guide their drones. And,
- 38:22Speaker 2: you know, the killer drones, the military drones. And all
- 38:27Speaker 2: of a sudden, Musk throttled them down, shut down their
- 38:30Speaker 2: speed on the Starlink. Well, it turns out, and remember
- 38:34Speaker 2: at one point they said President Trump ordered it, Musk
- 38:37Speaker 2: ordered it. They kept going on with these fake stories.
- 38:39Speaker 2: Turns out it was throttled down. Starlink did shut down,
- 38:44Speaker 2: slow down deliberately Ukraine's account. But now that all the
- 38:48Speaker 2: details have come out, it turns out when you're on Starlink,
- 38:54Speaker 2: you are not allowed to use it for military purposes.
- 38:58Speaker 2: You can use it on drones, but you can't use
- 39:00Speaker 2: it to send drones 150 miles an hour to attack somebody.
- 39:04Speaker 2: And it wasn't Musk ordering it to slow down. It's
- 39:09Speaker 2: built into the software. They have stuff in the software
- 39:13Speaker 2: that if they see anybody violating the terms, it automatically
- 39:17Speaker 2: slows their account down. And most sites have this. If
- 39:20Speaker 2: you do something you're not supposed to do on Facebook,
- 39:23Speaker 2: it'll throttle down your account immediately. Same thing on Twitter,
- 39:27Speaker 2: they all have this. It was just built into the software.
- 39:29Speaker 2: once it got to be a big huge story and
- 39:31Speaker 2: musk was told and got involved he got the engineers
- 39:35Speaker 2: to fix it but it's automatic now why can't you
- 39:40Speaker 2: use starlink for military purposes for attacks uh Well, there's
- 39:47Speaker 2: a good reason for that. Now, what they have, they
- 39:49Speaker 2: have another thing called Space Shield. That's the military version
- 39:54Speaker 2: of Starlink. If you're going to do military stuff, you know,
- 39:56Speaker 2: trying to bomb and kill, you got to use Space Shield.
- 39:59Speaker 2: The reason they won't allow it on Starlink, Starlink depends
- 40:06Speaker 2: on satellites. It's run by satellites in space. And Musk is,
- 40:12Speaker 2: and this is only logical. Musk has said if he
- 40:15Speaker 2: allows it to be used for military use, for instance,
- 40:19Speaker 2: Zelensky blowing up stuff in Moscow, then the next step
- 40:22Speaker 2: will be Russia will shoot down the Starlink satellites. And
- 40:27Speaker 2: he doesn't want that. He wants Starlink strictly peaceful, doesn't
- 40:30Speaker 2: want Russia or China blowing up his satellites. So that's
- 40:34Speaker 2: the reason. But Ukraine, I don't know why they did it.
- 40:36Speaker 2: They knew they had to use Space Shield, the military version.
- 40:40Speaker 2: But for some reason, they tried it on Starlink. The
- 40:42Speaker 2: software just automatically, it's built into the software. If they
- 40:46Speaker 2: see anybody doing anything you're not supposed to do, it
- 40:48Speaker 2: slows down their account immediately. So that's all that happened. Now,
- 40:52Speaker 2: that part of the story naturally is not getting reported
- 40:55Speaker 2: by The New York Times, CBS, or any left-wing fake
- 40:59Speaker 2: news site. Anthropic has filed for the big IPO. Everybody
- 41:05Speaker 2: was waiting for this. They value Anthropic at $ 2 trillion. Actually,
- 41:14Speaker 2: they've posted a staggering loss in the first half of
- 41:17Speaker 2: the year, $ 80 billion, almost $ 81 billion in the first
- 41:20Speaker 2: half of the year. But, you know, that's all the
- 41:23Speaker 2: big tech companies in the first few years because they
- 41:25Speaker 2: just keep pumping it back into the company. So that
- 41:28Speaker 2: could spook Wall Street investors because they're all worried about
- 41:31Speaker 2: an AI bubble. But the revenue over the same period
- 41:35Speaker 2: was $ 16 billion, and that's up from $ 40 million two
- 41:40Speaker 2: years ago. So that's a pretty good jump there. So
- 41:44Speaker 2: this is going to be a big IPO. It's supposed
- 41:45Speaker 2: to happen probably in a month or so. French President
- 41:50Speaker 2: Macron promises strong measures to stop the protests. He promised
- 41:55Speaker 2: on Monday that his government... You see, they're very slow
- 41:58Speaker 2: over there. If this was the U.S. and Donald Trump,
- 42:02Speaker 2: And those protests started, the response would be about an
- 42:05Speaker 2: hour later. But it's two weeks into it, and Macron
- 42:08Speaker 2: has announced not strong measures. No, he's announced that they're
- 42:12Speaker 2: going to announce a package later in the week. Later
- 42:16Speaker 2: in the week, they'll announce a package. His prime minister,
- 42:20Speaker 2: Sébastien Lecourneau, is set to hold a news conference after
- 42:24Speaker 2: meeting with unions of high school students. Now, there were
- 42:26Speaker 2: some students originally in these protests complaining about something.
- 42:30Speaker 9: I don't know.
- 42:30Speaker 2: The temperature wasn't right in the classroom. They didn't like
- 42:33Speaker 2: the lunch. Something. I don't know. So they're going to
- 42:36Speaker 2: meet with these student unions and work that out. Get
- 42:39Speaker 2: them out of the mix. The Interior has deployed 70,000
- 42:43Speaker 2: police for this weekend coming up. So far, 1,500 people
- 42:48Speaker 2: arrested nationwide. But they've got to stop this. They've really
- 42:51Speaker 2: got to stop this. President Trump really going after Obama.
- 42:59Speaker 2: Obama going after Trump. By the way, let me repeat this.
- 43:01Speaker 2: I keep repeating this throughout the show. Anytime Obama goes
- 43:05Speaker 2: on the stump in campaigns, the person always loses. That's
- 43:09Speaker 2: his track record. Remember in 2024, he went out on
- 43:12Speaker 2: the campaign trail the last few weeks to stop Trump. Again,
- 43:15Speaker 2: he always fails on the campaign trail. Obama's only good
- 43:19Speaker 2: campaigning for himself. His coattails stink. They always have. But
- 43:24Speaker 2: Obama attacked him like crazy on everything, every issue. Trump
- 43:29Speaker 2: now going after Obama.
- 43:30Speaker 6: Guys like Obama, they would pass the front door, they'd
- 43:34Speaker 6: see the broken.
- 43:36Speaker 2: Yeah, he's talking about Obama, who was in the White
- 43:39Speaker 2: House for eight years and let the whole building just decay.
- 43:43Speaker 2: Stuff was crumbling, stuff was broken, and Obama, for eight years,
- 43:47Speaker 2: never did anything about it.
- 43:48Speaker 6: Guys like Obama, they would pass the front door, they'd
- 43:52Speaker 6: see the broken masonry, they'd see the broken, the beautiful
- 43:57Speaker 6: pilasters that were all broken... For years, they were broken.
- 44:01Speaker 6: And he wouldn't notice, because he doesn't notice that. He
- 44:04Speaker 6: doesn't notice dirt and filth that hadn't been cleaned, where
- 44:07Speaker 6: the walls hadn't been cleaned for years. He doesn't notice
- 44:11Speaker 6: areas that haven't been painted. So it's very easy for
- 44:14Speaker 6: me to do. I do it very, very simply, because
- 44:17Speaker 6: it's my nature. You know, I'm a very clean person.
- 44:21Speaker 2: Yeah, well, he's also a professional builder. A professional builder
- 44:24Speaker 2: got that eye. He sees everything wrong. Obama, not a
- 44:27Speaker 2: professional builder. Never even actually had a job doing anything
- 44:29Speaker 2: except politics. Biden, you can't blame because the guy doesn't
- 44:34Speaker 2: know where the hell he is. He's just bumping into walls.
- 44:36Speaker 2: You can't expect him to notice anything.
- 44:38Speaker 6: You have to remember, the White House, we have to
- 44:40Speaker 6: explain that to Obama because he doesn't understand it because
- 44:43Speaker 6: he's not a smart guy. Let me tell you, in
- 44:45Speaker 6: my opinion, he's not smart at all. Because the way
- 44:48Speaker 6: he ran the country, only a stupid person would run
- 44:51Speaker 6: the country like that. But we have to explain to
- 44:53Speaker 6: Obama that the White House is a symbol of America
- 44:57Speaker 6: and it has to be maintained properly.
- 44:59Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 45:01Speaker 2: See, one good thing about Trump, he's got this thing
- 45:03Speaker 2: about he'll go after you for all your faults. But
- 45:08Speaker 2: even if you don't have a fault, he'll just make
- 45:10Speaker 2: it sound like it is. You know, there's a lot
- 45:12Speaker 2: wrong with Obama. You could criticize Obama for a lot
- 45:14Speaker 2: of things. I don't think anybody could make this case
- 45:16Speaker 2: that he's stupid. Obviously, he's a brilliant guy. You can't
- 45:20Speaker 2: say he's stupid. But Trump will do it anyway. That's
- 45:23Speaker 2: just the way he is. He's unbelievable at that. He's
- 45:26Speaker 2: great at that. You know, like George Clooney, he'll just say,
- 45:31Speaker 2: he's an ugly guy. I think everybody agrees. He's ugly.
- 45:34Speaker 2: He's really ugly. He'll just make the case so forcefully
- 45:37Speaker 2: and with such confidence. You start believing the guy.
- 45:40Speaker 6: Guys like Obama don't see it. You don't see dirt.
- 45:43Speaker 6: He doesn't see filth. He doesn't see broken ornaments on
- 45:46Speaker 6: a building. The White House to President Obama is a
- 45:51Speaker 6: symbol of America. It has to be clean. The columns
- 45:56Speaker 6: can't be broken. The bricks can't be falling off from
- 46:00Speaker 6: under the plaster. And for you to say it's a
- 46:05Speaker 6: Cheesecake Factory, that just shows why you're a lousy president.
- 46:10Speaker 2: He's not going to live down that Cheesecake Factory stuff. Also,
- 46:14Speaker 2: you know, you're in the Midwest where people love the
- 46:16Speaker 2: Cheesecake Factory. Obama talks about it like it's a cheap
- 46:19Speaker 2: little nothing. It's a very special place for people in
- 46:22Speaker 2: the Midwest. The Cheesecake Factory, and it's great. I mean,
- 46:27Speaker 2: name a restaurant that has a better menu than the
- 46:29Speaker 2: Cheesecake Factory. Anytime the menu's in a book, like a
- 46:34Speaker 2: leather-bound book, and it's 47 pages, that's pretty impressive. In fact,
- 46:39Speaker 2: I don't know why you don't even have to look
- 46:41Speaker 2: at the menu. They have everything. Just say anything, whatever
- 46:44Speaker 2: you want, they got it on that menu. It is
- 46:46Speaker 2: an amazing place. The food is delicious. Everything you order
- 46:54Speaker 2: is 4,700 calories. But aside from that, it's a great place.
- 46:59Speaker 2: You know what people are getting crazier about? The public
- 47:03Speaker 2: is starting to rebel against this. These red light cameras
- 47:06Speaker 2: are everywhere. Red light cameras are driving people crazy. 600...
- 47:15Speaker 2: Drivers now starting to protest. First of all, you go
- 47:17Speaker 2: through the red light where they got these speed cameras.
- 47:21Speaker 2: You get a ticket in the mail and you got
- 47:25Speaker 2: to pay it. There's nothing you can do. Now, what's
- 47:28Speaker 2: driving everybody crazy is there's two cars and 400 bikes
- 47:32Speaker 2: on the same street. The bikes are breaking the speed limit.
- 47:35Speaker 2: The bikes always go through red lights. The bikes go
- 47:37Speaker 2: through stop signs. The bikes are up on the sidewalk.
- 47:41Speaker 2: The bikes are going the wrong way down the street.
- 47:44Speaker 2: Start ticketing them. It's easy to do. You require every
- 47:49Speaker 2: bike to get a license. The license must be on
- 47:52Speaker 2: the bike. The license could have a chip in it
- 47:55Speaker 2: that the cameras can read. First of all, you make
- 47:59Speaker 2: a fortune selling the bike licenses. And then every year
- 48:02Speaker 2: they got to renew it. And so you make money
- 48:05Speaker 2: that way. It's a lot of revenue. And the bikes
- 48:08Speaker 2: are breaking the law every second. The revenue will come
- 48:11Speaker 2: pouring in off these bikes. Now, after a while, if
- 48:15Speaker 2: they keep getting tickets, they'll stop. They'll make sure to
- 48:18Speaker 2: stop at the stop sign. They'll make sure to go
- 48:21Speaker 2: the speed limit. But that's good. That's good. So either
- 48:24Speaker 2: way you win, start ticketing bikes. You've got to do it.
- 48:29Speaker 2: I don't know how you're going to get that done
- 48:31Speaker 2: because politicians hate cars, love bikes, but start ticketing them. E-bikes, e-scooters,
- 48:39Speaker 2: all that crap and those stupid pedicabs. You know, they
- 48:43Speaker 2: got rid of the horse and carriages. There's more problems
- 48:45Speaker 2: with those pedicabs, with the illegal alien gang member peddling
- 48:49Speaker 2: furiously with two frightened tourists in the back. Get rid
- 48:53Speaker 2: of those things. Oh, good news. You know, they say
- 48:55Speaker 2: there's no good news. Well, here's some good news. Former
- 48:58Speaker 2: FBI Director James Comey facing new criminal charges. This he
- 49:04Speaker 2: should have been charged with a long time ago. This
- 49:07Speaker 2: story had been around for a while. You remember he
- 49:09Speaker 2: had a guy, I think he was a professor at Columbia,
- 49:12Speaker 2: a professor of journalism or something like that, very close
- 49:16Speaker 2: to Comey. And Comey, if he needed stuff, leaked to
- 49:19Speaker 2: the New York Times. would show it to his friend,
- 49:22Speaker 2: and his friend would leak it. That way, Comey never
- 49:24Speaker 2: had contact with the New York Times. Comey could say,
- 49:27Speaker 2: I did not talk to anybody at the New York Times.
- 49:30Speaker 2: I didn't leak it to the New York Times. But
- 49:32Speaker 2: the friend did. There was always that story floating around.
- 49:36Speaker 2: I forget the guy's name. They even named the guy. Well,
- 49:39Speaker 2: he's now being charged with leaking classified information, transmitting national
- 49:45Speaker 2: defense information, but doing it through a third party. There's
- 49:52Speaker 2: specific cases of this. There was an October 2016 New
- 49:56Speaker 2: York Times article that revealed stuff about our surveillance and
- 50:00Speaker 2: spam filters. The New York Times got a hold of it.
- 50:04Speaker 2: They believe Comey leaked that through his friend. They've indicted him.
- 50:08Speaker 2: I don't think they would have gone ahead with this
- 50:10Speaker 2: unless they had the evidence. They've probably gotten cell phone
- 50:13Speaker 2: records and GPS stuff and seen these guys together. And
- 50:17Speaker 2: then the record of the other guy's cell phone transmitting
- 50:20Speaker 2: to the New York Times. Comey, more legal trouble, real
- 50:24Speaker 2: legal trouble for him. Hey, New York City district attorneys,
- 50:29Speaker 2: we're talking about this last hour. Alvin Bragg, the one
- 50:32Speaker 2: in the Bronx. These district attorneys are so pro-criminal. They
- 50:37Speaker 2: don't put the criminals in jail. They let them right
- 50:39Speaker 2: back on the streets. They're anti-ICE. Apparently now, there's certain things,
- 50:44Speaker 2: if you got charged with serious felonies, committing awful crimes
- 50:48Speaker 2: on the street, the ICE agents can deport you over it.
- 50:52Speaker 2: So apparently, these district attorneys are deliberately downgrading the charges
- 51:00Speaker 2: to make sure they're non- deportable offenses. This is the
- 51:03Speaker 2: House Judiciary Committee that's done a report. They said New
- 51:07Speaker 2: York City's district attorneys are doing this, deliberately covering up
- 51:13Speaker 2: for these illegals, deliberately downgrading the charges, even though they
- 51:16Speaker 2: just committed a serious crime, downgrading it so they won't
- 51:19Speaker 2: get deported. This is unbelievable. Now, the governor, if you
- 51:23Speaker 2: get the right governor, and it's Bruce Blakeman, can remove
- 51:26Speaker 2: these district attorneys and put real ones in, real crime
- 51:30Speaker 2: fighters in. replace these district attorneys. That would change everything.
- 51:33Speaker 2: So make sure you get out and vote. Do it
- 51:35Speaker 2: this week. Do the early voting. Get out and vote.
- 51:39Speaker 2: It's all about turnout. Hey, we'll take some calls next.
- 51:41Speaker 2: 800-321-0710 is the number. Give us a call.
- 51:43Speaker 7: 800-321-0710.
- 51:43Speaker 2: The Mark Simone Show, live from the WOR LifeVac studios. Hey,
- 51:46Speaker 2: let's take some calls. Let's go to Carl in New Jersey. Carl,
- 52:03Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 52:05Speaker 1: Hey, Mark.
- 52:05Speaker 17: Thanks for taking my call.
- 52:07Speaker 2: Hold it down. Hold it down. People are sleeping here.
- 52:11Speaker 9: Okay.
- 52:11Speaker 11: Sorry.
- 52:13Speaker 17: What people seem to be talking about here in New
- 52:15Speaker 17: Jersey is Cory Booker is on the ballot.
- 52:17Speaker 15: He's a senator.
- 52:18Speaker 9: It's a six-year term.
- 52:19Speaker 17: He's running against a guy named Justin Murphy. And he's
- 52:23Speaker 17: a nobody, and he's a long shot. But this is
- 52:25Speaker 17: a chance to really shake the Democratic cage alive. At
- 52:28Speaker 17: the top. And nobody seems to be covering it.
- 52:31Speaker 2: I know, but let's be honest. You people in New Jersey,
- 52:35Speaker 2: nothing personal, but you people in New Jersey vote in
- 52:37Speaker 2: the worst people as governors, as senators.
- 52:41Speaker 17: I'm in Mamas County and we went red, but you
- 52:44Speaker 17: are not wrong.
- 52:45Speaker 5: You are not wrong.
- 52:46Speaker 2: You vote in some wacky governors and that Cory Booker
- 52:49Speaker 2: is like, as they call him, the dollar store Obama guy.
- 52:54Speaker 17: He's going to run for president again, and if he's
- 52:57Speaker 17: in the next cycle, he's going to continue to throw
- 53:00Speaker 17: New Jersey under the bus to gain favor with his party.
- 53:03Speaker 2: He runs for president every time. Nobody knows, but he
- 53:07Speaker 2: runs for president every time. Let's go to Larry in Cranford,
- 53:10Speaker 2: New Jersey. Larry, how are you doing?
- 53:13Speaker 18: Hey, Mark.
- 53:14Speaker 9: Hi.
- 53:14Speaker 5: So what has Kathy Holcomb been doing all this time?
- 53:17Speaker 5: She's going to lower prices?
- 53:19Speaker 7: When?
- 53:19Speaker 5: The day after election day?
- 53:20Speaker 2: Yeah, no, it's a fascinating phenomenon. Democrats have had total
- 53:26Speaker 2: control in New York for 15 years. Democrats controlled City Hall,
- 53:30Speaker 2: the legislature, the governor's mansion, every inch of New York
- 53:35Speaker 2: governed by Democrats, 15 years. Now they tell you there's
- 53:38Speaker 2: a crime problem. Oh, there's an affordability crisis. There's this.
- 53:41Speaker 2: Electric bills are too high. Well, if this is the case,
- 53:44Speaker 2: it's all your fault. They should throw you out. It doesn't, it's,
- 53:47Speaker 2: it's the, Most unbelievable chutzpah ever. Let's go to Diane
- 53:52Speaker 2: in Connecticut. Diane, how you doing?
- 53:55Speaker 19: I'm doing pretty good. I wanted to speak about James Carville.
- 54:01Speaker 19: I was watching him on a show last week, and
- 54:05Speaker 19: he was ranting and raving about how much he hates Trump.
- 54:11Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 54:11Speaker 19: He said, I hate him. I can't sleep at night
- 54:14Speaker 19: because of him. I can't eat. I'm losing weight. I
- 54:20Speaker 19: can't have any fun or whatever. I never saw such craziness.
- 54:25Speaker 2: I know. They're like little children. They're like crazy little whining, pouty,
- 54:28Speaker 2: pouty children. Like they won't go to bed unless you.
- 54:31Speaker 19: Give them this. Oh, but he should know better.
- 54:33Speaker 2: I know. It's crazy. Listen, I didn't like Kamala Harris,
- 54:37Speaker 2: but it didn't keep me up enough. I wasn't losing
- 54:40Speaker 2: any sleep over it. I wasn't foaming at the mouth.
- 54:43Speaker 2: I hated that Joe Biden is president. But I didn't
- 54:48Speaker 2: run around screaming about it all day. I didn't go
- 54:50Speaker 2: out in the street with a no kings or, in
- 54:53Speaker 2: his case, no zombies sign. They're just nuts. But they're
- 54:57Speaker 2: like children. It's just childish ranting and raving. Let's go
- 55:01Speaker 2: to Vincent in Brooklyn. Vincent, how are you doing?
- 55:04Speaker 13: Good morning, Mark.
- 55:04Speaker 5: Mark, I'm okay.
- 55:06Speaker 13: Speaking about Alvin Bragg downgrading charges and the black community
- 55:10Speaker 13: and Hispanic community should be incensed. In fact, today at
- 55:15Speaker 13: the arraignment of that dirty cop who shot the guy
- 55:18Speaker 13: on the bridge. Alvin Bragg only charged him with manslaughter.
- 55:24Speaker 13: That guy should have been charged with murder too, reckless endangerment,
- 55:29Speaker 13: reckless discharging of a firearm, which Internal Affairs, before the
- 55:36Speaker 13: guy retired, after only seven years, they brought him up
- 55:39Speaker 13: on a reckless endangerment for discharging his firearm.
- 55:44Speaker 2: Vincent, Vincent, you seem very familiar with the charging system
- 55:47Speaker 2: here in New York.
- 55:47Speaker 13: Yeah, I actually am very familiar. There's no way that
- 55:51Speaker 13: that cop should have been charged with on the onset
- 55:55Speaker 13: with manslaughter. And here's the reason why. Usually during the
- 55:59Speaker 13: course of a trial, depending on which way the trial's going,
- 56:04Speaker 13: either the DA or the defense attorney will say, hey.
- 56:09Speaker 13: I'll cop out to this. I'll plead out to that.
- 56:12Speaker 13: You don't start low so you could go lower. You start,
- 56:15Speaker 13: you charge them high, and then you work the charges down.
- 56:19Speaker 13: This cop could be out in three years. And knowing that,
- 56:24Speaker 13: the family is... planning a protest outside of Central Book
- 56:29Speaker 13: in Manhattan today. That's mob stuff with this cop.
- 56:33Speaker 2: Okay, but you would think a left-wing kook like Alvin
- 56:35Speaker 2: Bragg would overcharge a cop. You think he would hate cops?
- 56:38Speaker 13: Well, I guess he's trying to curry favor with the
- 56:41Speaker 13: police union and detectives union. But this guy is no
- 56:46Speaker 13: altar boy. He retired after seven years. That tells you
- 56:51Speaker 13: a lot because internal affairs probably told him, hey, We're
- 56:55Speaker 13: going to bring this case against you to court. Either
- 56:58Speaker 13: you quit now or we're going to court with this
- 57:01Speaker 13: because why would the guy retire after seven years? And
- 57:07Speaker 13: this came out last week on WOR and other channels
- 57:11Speaker 13: that report the real news, not NPR and those garbage stations.
- 57:17Speaker 2: All right. Well, Alvin Bragg, the worst district attorney in America.
- 57:20Speaker 2: If you get a new governor... He can remove Alvin Bragg.
- 57:24Speaker 2: That would be great.
- 57:24Speaker 13: Well, let's hope it happens, Mark.
- 57:26Speaker 2: Yeah, go out and vote. Vincent, thanks for calling. Go
- 57:29Speaker 2: out and vote. Do the early voting. You can do
- 57:33Speaker 2: it this week. Hey, when we come back, the brilliant columnist,
- 57:36Speaker 2: Liz Peek, we'll talk to her next on 710WOR. Mark's
- 57:42Speaker 2: a mom.
- 57:42Speaker 1: Mr.
- 57:43Speaker 7: New York.
- 57:44Speaker 1: Now three hours every weekday from 9 till noon on 710WOR.
- 57:51Speaker 2: Well, Liz Peek, the brilliant columnist. You can read her
- 57:54Speaker 2: columns at foxnews.com or thehill.com. But even better, go to
- 57:58Speaker 2: her website. Everything is there, plus a lot of great stories.
- 58:02Speaker 2: You go to lizpeek.com, lizpeek.com. Liz Peek, how are you doing?
- 58:08Speaker 7: I'm great. Thank you for having me on.
- 58:10Speaker 2: Hey, one week from today, seven days away. What do
- 58:15Speaker 2: you think is going on now, midterm-wise?
- 58:18Speaker 18: Well, look, I think that we have been hit with
- 58:23Speaker 18: a blizzard of negative polls, negative headlines. I think Democrats
- 58:29Speaker 18: and the liberal media are throwing absolutely everything at us
- 58:32Speaker 18: to make us convinced that the election is basically over
- 58:36Speaker 18: and done with and trying to convince Republicans not to
- 58:39Speaker 18: bother to vote. Because if you think it's hopeless, Mark,
- 58:43Speaker 18: you stay home. And I think that is absolutely what
- 58:46Speaker 18: they're trying to accomplish. What I see is tightening poles
- 58:50Speaker 18: in a lot of critical races. Michigan's a good example
- 58:53Speaker 18: where Abdul Al-Sayed was up over Mike Rogers a few
- 58:56Speaker 18: weeks ago by almost four points.
- 58:59Speaker 7: And now it's one point or in some cases tied.
- 59:02Speaker 18: And that is true in Texas.
- 59:06Speaker 7: I think it's true in.
- 59:07Speaker 18: Iowa and various other regions. where, you know, yeah, Democrats
- 59:12Speaker 18: have put up a really good fight.
- 59:14Speaker 7: But when you.
- 59:15Speaker 18: Look at the historical bias of polling, and I don't
- 59:21Speaker 18: mean that the polls are purposely manufactured to make Republicans
- 59:25Speaker 18: look bad, but in something like 13 of the last
- 59:27Speaker 18: 14 elections, Republicans have been undercounted, and in particular, according
- 59:32Speaker 18: to The Economist, in states that are red states. In
- 59:36Speaker 18: other words, you go into Iowa, you go into Texas,
- 59:39Speaker 18: and you do a poll, a lot of Trump voters
- 59:42Speaker 18: aren't going to respond because they're just ornery and they
- 59:46Speaker 18: don't like polling. And maybe they're embarrassed. Their neighbors, you know,
- 59:50Speaker 18: they don't know who's going to look at these polls, whatever.
- 59:52Speaker 18: But the answer, by three or four points, Republicans are undercounted.
- 59:56Speaker 18: And if that is the case... a lot of these
- 59:59Speaker 18: supposedly squeaker races are not going to end up being
- 1:00:02Speaker 18: as tight as we think. So I am optimistic that
- 1:00:06Speaker 18: the GOP will hold the Senate. I think probably the House,
- 1:00:08Speaker 18: they will not hold.
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: Well, you never know. You never know. Anything can happen.
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: The good news is they sent Obama out, a panicky move,
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: Obama out on the campaign trail, check his track record.
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: Everybody he endorses loses. That's generally the case.
- 1:00:24Speaker 7: True, true.
- 1:00:25Speaker 18: And You know, I think he's been like out in
- 1:00:29Speaker 18: Michigan because El-Sayed lost Detroit, by the way, in the primary.
- 1:00:35Speaker 18: I mean, if you go back and look at how
- 1:00:37Speaker 18: he has done with Black voters, it is terrible. So,
- 1:00:41Speaker 18: you know, Obama is supposed to be getting out there
- 1:00:43Speaker 18: and rallying Black voters to show up for El-Sayed. Is
- 1:00:46Speaker 18: that really going to pull, as you point out, it
- 1:00:49Speaker 18: has not proved an effective strategy in the past. Maybe
- 1:00:52Speaker 18: this time will be different, but I think a lot
- 1:00:56Speaker 18: of conservative Black voters are looking at al-Sayed with this
- 1:01:00Speaker 18: very clear borderline, I guess we have to say, alleged
- 1:01:05Speaker 18: ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, etc.
- 1:01:08Speaker 7: And they don't like that. I mean, they're patriotic Americans.
- 1:01:11Speaker 18: They don't like the fact that this guy is coming
- 1:01:13Speaker 18: in and bashing Israel, bashing capitalism. You know, that's just
- 1:01:18Speaker 18: not their cup of tea. So I think Jewish... voters
- 1:01:22Speaker 18: are definitely having second thoughts. Black voters just may not
- 1:01:25Speaker 18: show up. And so I'm, again, I'm sort of optimistic
- 1:01:30Speaker 18: that in some of these races, the numbers are not
- 1:01:32Speaker 18: really counting what's going to happen.
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: Yeah. Here in New York, you know, the Cato Institute
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: does a survey of governors in America. Kathy Ockel just
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: won as the single worst governor in the United States
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: of America. I think Bruce Blakeman's going to do it.
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: I think he's going to win.
- 1:01:48Speaker 7: Oh, man, that would be, would that not be a thunderbolt?
- 1:01:52Speaker 18: Because I have likened New York voters to Stockholm Syndrome victims,
- 1:01:58Speaker 18: where you're held captive and you don't know how to
- 1:02:00Speaker 18: get out, but you end up sort of loving your oppressors.
- 1:02:04Speaker 7: In this case, how.
- 1:02:06Speaker 18: Could he not be in the bottom of the rankings
- 1:02:09Speaker 18: when you have the highest taxes in the country, the
- 1:02:13Speaker 18: worst conditions to run a business? and just cost of
- 1:02:18Speaker 18: living through the roof, cost of electricity, not because of
- 1:02:22Speaker 18: the war in Iran, I hesitate to point out, but
- 1:02:25Speaker 18: because Kathy Hochul and Andrew Cuomo's policies, Democrat policies, have
- 1:02:30Speaker 18: basically made natural gas unavailable to New Yorkers, banning not
- 1:02:35Speaker 18: only pipelines, but also fracking, which means that our neighbors
- 1:02:39Speaker 18: in Pennsylvania are doing much, much better income-wise and electricity
- 1:02:43Speaker 18: price-wise than people in New York. These are policies that
- 1:02:47Speaker 18: they should be fired for. Andrew Cuomo was fired, thank God.
- 1:02:51Speaker 18: Now we should fire Kathy Hochul. And by the way,
- 1:02:54Speaker 18: if you're worried, if you're a New York City resident,
- 1:02:56Speaker 18: you're worried about Mamdani, she is, the governor is the
- 1:03:00Speaker 18: only possible break on Mamdani and she will not be
- 1:03:04Speaker 18: that break on Mamdani. So as he continues to throw
- 1:03:08Speaker 18: up there all these benefits he wants to provide, programs
- 1:03:12Speaker 18: he wants to initiate and so forth, You know, you're
- 1:03:15Speaker 18: looking at higher taxes.
- 1:03:16Speaker 7: You're looking at.
- 1:03:16Speaker 18: Losing more taxpayers to Florida and Texas and Tennessee and
- 1:03:21Speaker 18: other low-tax locales.
- 1:03:23Speaker 7: This is not working. And I think, you know, the
- 1:03:26Speaker 7: sooner there's a political.
- 1:03:29Speaker 18: And, you know, Mark, what drives me nuts is that
- 1:03:32Speaker 18: Republicans in this state are so fatalistic. It's sort of like, oh,
- 1:03:35Speaker 18: you can't elect a Republican. Well, George Pataki was a Republican.
- 1:03:40Speaker 18: Mike Bloomberg was elected mayor of New York City, for
- 1:03:42Speaker 18: heaven's sakes, as a Republican in because people were so
- 1:03:46Speaker 18: fed up with Democrat incompetence.
- 1:03:49Speaker 7: That's where we are now. That's, I think, where we
- 1:03:51Speaker 7: will be very shortly.
- 1:03:52Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: You know, the governor has the power to remove the
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: district attorneys. It's a state job. He could put in
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: real crime fighters that could turn everything around crime-wise.
- 1:04:02Speaker 18: Yeah, and just justice-wise. I mean, we've had, you know,
- 1:04:09Speaker 18: somebody in the DA post, Attorney General post, who has
- 1:04:14Speaker 18: had political vendettas. I mean, it's hilarious when they talk
- 1:04:18Speaker 18: about Trump going after his enemies.
- 1:04:20Speaker 7: My God.
- 1:04:21Speaker 18: I mean, what do they think Letitia James has done
- 1:04:24Speaker 18: over the last many years? All she has really targeted,
- 1:04:27Speaker 18: as far as I can see, is political enemies like
- 1:04:29Speaker 18: Donald Trump, creating cases where they went after him on
- 1:04:35Speaker 18: the most preposterous, even described by the New York Times
- 1:04:40Speaker 18: as creative charges and basically not done her job in
- 1:04:46Speaker 18: terms of locking up criminals. Mark, imagine if somebody you
- 1:04:50Speaker 18: loved was shoved in the front of a subway train
- 1:04:53Speaker 18: and killed or stabbed to death in the park or whatever,
- 1:04:56Speaker 18: and you found out that same person had been arrested
- 1:04:59Speaker 18: for similar things not long prior to that and put
- 1:05:04Speaker 18: back out on the streets. How can people tolerate this?
- 1:05:07Speaker 18: I don't understand it.
- 1:05:08Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: We're talking to Liz Peek, the great columnist. Listen, gas
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: prices are too high. They're not Joe Biden high, but
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: they're high. And it's an issue, but it's not the issue.
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: If you watch the fake news, they make it sound
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: like the entire election is going to be based on
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: gas prices. That's never happened in history where the number
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: one issue was gas prices, right? There's more to it.
- 1:05:29Speaker 18: Well, I mean, they want us to believe that everything
- 1:05:32Speaker 18: that's wrong with the economy, and there is nothing wrong
- 1:05:34Speaker 18: with the economy except high oil and gas prices. is
- 1:05:38Speaker 18: the fault of exclusively Donald Trump. I can tell you
- 1:05:42Speaker 18: in states like New York and California, energy costs and
- 1:05:46Speaker 18: electricity costs were going 60, 50% above the national average
- 1:05:52Speaker 18: way before the.
- 1:05:53Speaker 7: War in Iran. Yes, the war in Iran has elevated
- 1:05:56Speaker 7: oil prices. There's no question. Thank God that President Trump
- 1:05:59Speaker 7: has also at the same time pushed domestic energy production
- 1:06:04Speaker 7: so hard Otherwise, we would be in big trouble and
- 1:06:07Speaker 7: we're not. I mean, this is, yes, one element that
- 1:06:10Speaker 7: is causing concerns.
- 1:06:11Speaker 18: But Mark, when you have a conversation about affordability and
- 1:06:16Speaker 18: you look at the most, you know, these are easy
- 1:06:18Speaker 18: rankings to uncover. The most unaffordable places to live in America,
- 1:06:23Speaker 18: without exception, are run by Democrats. I don't mean just
- 1:06:27Speaker 18: run by Democrat mayors. When they take over a state
- 1:06:31Speaker 18: like California or New Jersey or New York and they
- 1:06:35Speaker 18: impose their policies of high taxes, tight regulations, anti-fossil fuel mandates,
- 1:06:41Speaker 18: et cetera, guess what?
- 1:06:42Speaker 7: You end up with unaffordable living.
- 1:06:45Speaker 18: And that's those, it's really, I mean, it's genius that
- 1:06:49Speaker 18: Democrats have co-opted this issue when they absolutely don't have
- 1:06:53Speaker 18: any credibility or should not have at all, right?
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: Yeah, if you're going to yell and scream about Trump
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: and $ 4. 30 for gas, how come you're right? They never
- 1:07:03Speaker 2: mentioned Gavin Newsom and his $ 8 a gallon gas.
- 1:07:05Speaker 7: Yeah, yes, or high taxes.
- 1:07:09Speaker 18: Where do people think, if you're a company and you're
- 1:07:12Speaker 18: operating in New York or California, Illinois, New Jersey, it's
- 1:07:15Speaker 18: not just these two states, and you have high corporate taxes,
- 1:07:20Speaker 18: do people not understand that those taxes are not swallowed
- 1:07:24Speaker 18: by the business and they're passed along.
- 1:07:26Speaker 7: In terms of higher prices.
- 1:07:28Speaker 18: Don't they understand that if you delay and make very
- 1:07:32Speaker 18: cumbersome the act of building a home, that home prices
- 1:07:36Speaker 18: are probably 50 to 60 to 70% higher than they
- 1:07:39Speaker 18: would be in a state that is more flexible, more.
- 1:07:44Speaker 7: Permissive in terms of handing out permits.
- 1:07:47Speaker 18: I will tell you, I have been trying to add
- 1:07:50Speaker 18: on to a house in Westchester County in New York
- 1:07:53Speaker 18: A minor, minor adjustment in this house. And it has
- 1:07:58Speaker 18: taken months to get a permit. And I got to
- 1:08:01Speaker 18: tell you, I am not alone. Everybody is bitching about
- 1:08:04Speaker 18: the same thing.
- 1:08:06Speaker 7: And guess what? Every day that you sit there and
- 1:08:08Speaker 7: it doesn't happen, the price goes up.
- 1:08:11Speaker 2: Well, it's seven days away. Everybody get out and vote early.
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: Early voting is important. Do it this week. You vote early.
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: You can sail right in, breeze through, no lines.
- 1:08:22Speaker 3: True.
- 1:08:23Speaker 5: All right.
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: Well, Liz Peek, brilliant as always. Everybody read her website, LizPeek.com.
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: Her columns, everything's up there. LizPeek.com. And thanks for being
- 1:08:33Speaker 2: with us.
- 1:08:34Speaker 7: Mark, thanks for having me on. Good luck. And, you know,
- 1:08:37Speaker 7: make sure you go out and vote. We need you.
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: Oh, absolutely. All right. Well, thanks. Take care.
- 1:08:44Speaker 6: All right.
- 1:08:44Speaker 9: Bye-bye.
- 1:08:45Speaker 5: Thanks.
- 1:08:46Speaker 2: Everybody get out and vote. Do it today. Do it tomorrow.
- 1:08:49Speaker 2: The early voting is the easiest. It's all about turnout.
- 1:08:54Speaker 2: If Republicans turn out in great numbers, they win. It's
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: that simple. If they don't turn out in great numbers,
- 1:08:59Speaker 2: they lose. So get out there and vote. Do the
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: early voting. Hey, coming up at noon, Buck Sexton and
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: Clay Travis have an excellent show for you. Three o'clock,
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: you got the most listened to radio show in America.
- 1:09:11Speaker 2: Sean Hannity is back today at three o'clock. Six o'clock,
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: you got Jesse Kelly. Jimmy Fallon does the funniest, Most
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: interesting show every night, 9 to midnight. So listen to
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: it tonight, every weeknight on 710WOR. Here's more Mark Simone
- 1:09:27Speaker 2: on 710WOR. It's going to be nice today. Beautiful, bright sunshine.
- 1:09:35Speaker 2: It's going to be kind of cold. It's going to be, well,
- 1:09:38Speaker 2: it's autumn. It's 60 degrees. It'll be 61 tomorrow, Thursday, 67. Friday,
- 1:09:45Speaker 2: the nicest day of the week. Friday, sunshine. It'll be
- 1:09:48Speaker 2: 73 degrees on Friday. Let me look ahead. Weekend looks
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: pretty good, 60 and sunny. No rain in the forecast
- 1:09:55Speaker 2: until maybe Tuesday. So you got one week with no
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: rain at all. Tuesday, by the way, is election day.
- 1:10:04Speaker 2: You see what I mean? Do the early voting. I mean,
- 1:10:07Speaker 2: you can't tell a week ahead of time how accurate
- 1:10:09Speaker 2: the forecast is, but right now it's supposed to rain
- 1:10:11Speaker 2: election day. Go out and do the early voting. It's easier.
- 1:10:16Speaker 2: There's no line. You get it done. Early voting is
- 1:10:20Speaker 2: open in New York. You can do it today. You
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: can do it tomorrow. Go out and get it done. Hey,
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: I'm here 9 to noon now, three hours every day.
- 1:10:28Speaker 2: Or if you can't listen live, you can get the podcast,
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: hear the show anytime, day or night. Back after the news, 710WOR.
- 1:10:35Speaker 2: The Mark Simone Show on 710WOR. Hey, it's the final hour.
- 1:10:47Speaker 2: It's Tuesday. The election is seven days from now, exactly
- 1:10:52Speaker 2: one week from today. But don't wait. Start doing the
- 1:10:54Speaker 2: early voting. As you heard on the news, in New
- 1:10:58Speaker 2: York State, 1.2 million have already early voted. Now, the
- 1:11:02Speaker 2: early voters tend to be the Democrats. I don't know why,
- 1:11:04Speaker 2: but Republicans like to wait till Election Day. Maybe they're
- 1:11:07Speaker 2: just more traditional. But Democrats are great with the early voting. Republicans,
- 1:11:13Speaker 2: you've got to catch up. Get out there and vote early.
- 1:11:17Speaker 2: Early voting, much easier, much better. No lines. You get
- 1:11:22Speaker 2: it done. So do it. You can do it today
- 1:11:24Speaker 2: in New York, tomorrow. You can do it all week
- 1:11:25Speaker 2: long or on the weekend. Do the early voting. Around
- 1:11:29Speaker 2: the country, it's up to about 26 million people have
- 1:11:33Speaker 2: already early voted. So get out there and do it.
- 1:11:39Speaker 2: A lot going on. There's a Fed meeting that starts today.
- 1:11:42Speaker 2: It'll go for two days. We'll see if there's a...
- 1:11:45Speaker 2: A raid hike. They've got everybody out in the campaign trail.
- 1:11:51Speaker 2: Vice President Vance will head to Michigan today. Rogers was
- 1:11:55Speaker 2: a couple of points behind the crazy anti-Semitic El-Sayed. He's
- 1:12:00Speaker 2: caught up. But they're pushing hard. Vance in Michigan again today.
- 1:12:05Speaker 2: President Trump's headed to Texas this afternoon. He'll be in
- 1:12:09Speaker 2: Corpus Christi, Texas. Big rally. Then he'll do another rally
- 1:12:13Speaker 2: in Lubbock, Texas. He's like an Energizer bunny crazy, running
- 1:12:18Speaker 2: around the country doing all this stuff. Let's see. They're
- 1:12:23Speaker 2: surveying people at the polling places. 44% are voting Democrat. Again,
- 1:12:29Speaker 2: that's the early vote. Oh, wait a minute. Sorry, sorry, sorry.
- 1:12:31Speaker 2: Excuse me. I just saw it's a Marist poll. It's
- 1:12:35Speaker 2: an NPR poll. It's a PBS poll. It means the
- 1:12:38Speaker 2: metrics are slanted. It's totally rigged. So, sorry. If they
- 1:12:43Speaker 2: say 44% are voting Democrat, that means it's 34% voting Democrat.
- 1:12:48Speaker 2: And all these rigged polls, these college polls, these media polls,
- 1:12:53Speaker 2: so rigged, so phony, all to suppress turnout. That's the
- 1:12:57Speaker 2: whole point of them. Do you remember that horrible road
- 1:13:01Speaker 2: rage incident? That ex-cop runs, tries to run this guy
- 1:13:09Speaker 2: off the road, takes out his gun, shoots him, kills him.
- 1:13:11Speaker 2: Very nice man, family man. And when it was time
- 1:13:14Speaker 2: to go to court, I guess because he's an ex-cop,
- 1:13:17Speaker 2: the court officer snuck him in, snuck him out. Well,
- 1:13:21Speaker 2: they finally got a photo of him. New York Post
- 1:13:22Speaker 2: just for the first time ever showed this guy's face.
- 1:13:26Speaker 2: They caught him coming into a courthouse. And they got
- 1:13:30Speaker 2: him outside. They were in the right spot as he
- 1:13:32Speaker 2: got out of the car. It's the first photograph that's
- 1:13:34Speaker 2: been made public of him. And his name is Victor Romero.
- 1:13:40Speaker 2: He's 62, ex-cop. was working for a big company, driving
- 1:13:46Speaker 2: the CEO around. CEOs love to have ex-cops as drivers
- 1:13:50Speaker 2: because they've got a gun. It's protection. They've got a
- 1:13:53Speaker 2: badge in case you need to get through a street
- 1:13:57Speaker 2: that's closed or something like that. It works. So he's
- 1:14:00Speaker 2: been released on a million dollars bail. He did make
- 1:14:08Speaker 2: a court appearance. They do have a photo if you
- 1:14:09Speaker 2: want to see what he looks like. New York Post.
- 1:14:12Speaker 2: Just put it up. The Apple Duo, that's the foldable phone.
- 1:14:18Speaker 2: More people complaining. You know what? Stop whining. Use your
- 1:14:23Speaker 2: regular phone. Use this iPhone 18. It's perfect. You don't
- 1:14:26Speaker 2: need to unfold it. If you want a screen that size,
- 1:14:30Speaker 2: get the iPad Mini. It's perfect. Works better than the Duo. Hey,
- 1:14:35Speaker 2: by the way, if you're going to get the iPhone Mini,
- 1:14:37Speaker 2: hang on. Apparently, there's a new one coming out. They're
- 1:14:40Speaker 2: going to unveil a whole new one, much improved one,
- 1:14:43Speaker 2: in a week or two. So hold off on that.
- 1:14:45Speaker 2: Don't get it just yet. You know, they hate Elon Musk.
- 1:14:50Speaker 2: They hate Elon Musk so much. He's done two things
- 1:14:54Speaker 2: that Democrats think are despicable. One, he's donated to Republicans.
- 1:15:02Speaker 2: The other thing, of course, is Doge. He tried to
- 1:15:04Speaker 2: cut down government waste and fraud. And Democrats, well, Republicans too, Congress, government,
- 1:15:10Speaker 2: they love waste and fraud. It's the business model. You
- 1:15:14Speaker 2: give out huge contracts. You give them to unions, special
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: interest groups, donors. You tell them, charge us six times
- 1:15:23Speaker 2: as much. Take ten times longer than usual. Put more
- 1:15:27Speaker 2: people on the job than you need. They do that
- 1:15:29Speaker 2: in exchange for donations, in exchange for whatever they need.
- 1:15:34Speaker 2: But Musk tried to bust up that... government waste and
- 1:15:38Speaker 2: fraud system. You know, they got in these cabinet departments,
- 1:15:42Speaker 2: you know, the state department, they got 27,000 people working there.
- 1:15:45Speaker 2: Nobody knows what the hell they do. So they hate Musk.
- 1:15:50Speaker 2: They've been denouncing him, attacking him. And the other side
- 1:15:54Speaker 2: of Musk is a genius. He's Ben Franklin. He's Thomas Edison.
- 1:15:58Speaker 2: This guy's inventing stuff that's unbelievable. He perfected the electric car,
- 1:16:03Speaker 2: the Tesla. He's launching rockets into space. Remember when our
- 1:16:07Speaker 2: astronauts were stranded in the space station? We didn't know
- 1:16:10Speaker 2: how to get them down. Musk had to go up
- 1:16:12Speaker 2: there with his spaceships and get them down. He's perfected Starlink.
- 1:16:17Speaker 2: That's going to be the future of communication. By the way,
- 1:16:20Speaker 2: come back in 10 years, there'll be no cell towers anywhere.
- 1:16:24Speaker 2: It'll be all Starlink, which means perfect signal everywhere. No
- 1:16:28Speaker 2: dead zones. It'll all be coming from their satellites, the
- 1:16:31Speaker 2: cell service. The data centers, the AI, the data centers,
- 1:16:35Speaker 2: it's all going to be in space. thanks to Musk.
- 1:16:39Speaker 2: Musk is inventing flying cars. Musk is inventing and perfecting everything.
- 1:16:43Speaker 2: It's like you're watching Thomas Edison. He's going to go
- 1:16:47Speaker 2: down in history as an incredible figure. But right now,
- 1:16:50Speaker 2: Democrats are trying to destroy the guy. So they attack
- 1:16:54Speaker 2: him left and right. They want to prosecute him. Well,
- 1:16:57Speaker 2: now look, they're coming right out and saying it. This
- 1:16:59Speaker 2: is Robert Reich. Remember the Clinton guy? The little Clinton guy?
- 1:17:03Speaker 2: Cabinet Secretary Robert Reich, who used to be quite the... respectable,
- 1:17:07Speaker 2: you know, legitimate sort of a figure, but now he's
- 1:17:12Speaker 2: gone crazy with the rest of the Democrats. You know,
- 1:17:15Speaker 2: they were talking about defund Musk. He is now saying,
- 1:17:18Speaker 2: this is Robert Reich, major Democratic figure. He's saying the
- 1:17:22Speaker 2: government should seize Elon Musk's companies. He's not the only one.
- 1:17:27Speaker 2: You're going to hear more about this. Bernie Sanders, these types.
- 1:17:30Speaker 2: This is going to be the new thing. They want
- 1:17:32Speaker 2: the government to seize Starlink companies. to seize SpaceX, to
- 1:17:38Speaker 2: actually take control of Musk's companies. Reich says it should
- 1:17:43Speaker 2: be a public corporation. We should never have that kind
- 1:17:46Speaker 2: of power in one person's hands. Musk is trying to
- 1:17:50Speaker 2: buy the Senate from Texas. Why should we allow this? Well,
- 1:17:53Speaker 2: you're fine when Soros does it. You're fine when the
- 1:17:57Speaker 2: Democratic billionaire donors do it. They're buying elections all the time.
- 1:18:02Speaker 2: Reich says, this is like what happened in the first
- 1:18:05Speaker 2: Gilded Age when we had robber barons. Well, robber barons,
- 1:18:10Speaker 2: that's what they ended up calling the Vanderbilts, the Rockefellers,
- 1:18:14Speaker 2: but these are the guys that built the country, basically,
- 1:18:17Speaker 2: the railroads, everything. I say this is exhibit A in
- 1:18:22Speaker 2: terms of a billionaire takeover of America. The oligarch problem.
- 1:18:27Speaker 2: Musk represents the power of oligarchy. But again, Soros has
- 1:18:34Speaker 2: given more money to politics than Musk ever has. Soros
- 1:18:38Speaker 2: has tampered with more things. Soros is the guy that
- 1:18:41Speaker 2: funded these crazy DAs that let all the criminals loose.
- 1:18:45Speaker 2: Soros is the guy that funded and got all these
- 1:18:48Speaker 2: crazy secretaries of state elected. that got rid of voter
- 1:18:51Speaker 2: ID and all that stuff. He's done more to damage
- 1:18:54Speaker 2: American democracy than anybody in history. But Reich goes on
- 1:18:59Speaker 2: to say, if we have a democratic administration and Democrats
- 1:19:03Speaker 2: ought to be starting this, not just with oversight hearings,
- 1:19:06Speaker 2: but laying the groundwork for nationalizing Starlink and SpaceX. Nationalize it.
- 1:19:13Speaker 2: That means the government sees it. Musk on Twitter replied,
- 1:19:20Speaker 2: stealing companies is a very serious crime. Should be prison
- 1:19:24Speaker 2: for Robert Reich. Prison. It's also, you know, they yell Hitler, Nazi.
- 1:19:28Speaker 2: This is what Hitler and Nazis do. They seize your company.
- 1:19:31Speaker 2: They seize your property. Hey, this Bob Woodward, is an
- 1:19:36Speaker 2: interesting character. You know, there was Woodward and Bernstein and
- 1:19:41Speaker 2: of course Watergate and all of that. And then over
- 1:19:43Speaker 2: the years they split up. Uh, Carl Bernstein's kind of a,
- 1:19:45Speaker 2: I don't know, sort of a sleazy sort of a
- 1:19:47Speaker 2: characters to some people. Uh, Woodward is be, you know,
- 1:19:53Speaker 2: continued as a respectable Washington journalist writing his books and everything. But, uh,
- 1:20:00Speaker 2: there's a side of Bob Woodward. A lot of people
- 1:20:01Speaker 2: don't trust him at all. You know, uh, Remember how
- 1:20:05Speaker 2: he got into the CIA director William Casey's hospital bed
- 1:20:08Speaker 2: as he was dying and got secret confessions out of Casey? Well,
- 1:20:12Speaker 2: nobody believed that story. Casey was the CIA director, heavily guarded.
- 1:20:16Speaker 2: Nobody got into his hospital room like that. So people think,
- 1:20:20Speaker 2: a lot of people think a lot of Woodward stuff
- 1:20:22Speaker 2: is made up. So he's written a new book. But
- 1:20:27Speaker 2: through the years, a guy like Woodward would have amazing
- 1:20:29Speaker 2: sources of In Washington, D.C., people in government sources that
- 1:20:34Speaker 2: tip him off, leak stuff to him. All top journalists
- 1:20:37Speaker 2: have that. So Woodward is writing. It's a new book.
- 1:20:40Speaker 2: It's 600 pages. It's called Secrets, A Reporter's Memoir. That's
- 1:20:47Speaker 2: a hell of an ego, 600 pages. Who the hell
- 1:20:50Speaker 2: wants to read 600 pages? But he does something I've
- 1:20:54Speaker 2: never seen before. He reveals his sources. Woodward is 83 now.
- 1:20:59Speaker 2: And many of the sources are now dead. They've all died.
- 1:21:03Speaker 2: So he's revealing who they are. You know, it's the
- 1:21:05Speaker 2: one thing when you have a secret source, especially somebody
- 1:21:09Speaker 2: in government, you don't, you always protect their identity. Journalists
- 1:21:13Speaker 2: go to prison over that to protect the identity of
- 1:21:15Speaker 2: the source. He's revealing them. Now, there was that famous
- 1:21:21Speaker 2: thing he wrote about the final days of Nixon in
- 1:21:24Speaker 2: the White House, how Nixon was drunk, wandering around, At
- 1:21:28Speaker 2: one point, he made Henry Kissinger get on his knees
- 1:21:30Speaker 2: with him, and they both prayed. It was a very
- 1:21:33Speaker 2: strange scene that Woodward reported. He's now revealing it was
- 1:21:38Speaker 2: two of Kissinger's deputies who leaked it to him, Brent
- 1:21:42Speaker 2: Scowcroft and Lawrence Eagleburg. These are top government officials. Now,
- 1:21:47Speaker 2: they're all dead. The problem is you've got to trust Woodward.
- 1:21:51Speaker 2: These guys are all dead. They can't deny it. They're
- 1:21:53Speaker 2: not around to say it's not true. But in the book,
- 1:21:57Speaker 2: Woodward says Scowcroft, very respected figure, national security advisor, Gerald
- 1:22:03Speaker 2: Ford and Bush Sr. Woodward says the guy was a
- 1:22:07Speaker 2: secret source for 35 years. He was leaking stuff to me.
- 1:22:11Speaker 2: Woodward also says, back to the Nixon days, Watergate, all that,
- 1:22:15Speaker 2: two of Nixon's defense lawyers, Fred Buzzhardt, Leonard Garment, remember
- 1:22:20Speaker 2: those names, were secret sources revealing stuff to him. But again,
- 1:22:25Speaker 2: These poor guys are dead. They can't deny this stuff.
- 1:22:27Speaker 2: So who knows? You got to trust Woodward that this
- 1:22:30Speaker 2: is true. He also says Stanley Sporkin, CIA general counsel.
- 1:22:35Speaker 2: These are big government figures. Was an important special source
- 1:22:39Speaker 2: leaking stuff. Sam Dash, you remember him? He was the
- 1:22:43Speaker 2: Senate Watergate Committee. Woodward claims he was a leaker. Secret
- 1:22:47Speaker 2: source giving him stuff. C. Boyden Gray is a very
- 1:22:51Speaker 2: distinguished commentator. Washington figure, I mean, a real swamp guy,
- 1:22:55Speaker 2: but he was White House counsel, George H.W.
- 1:22:59Speaker 9: Bush.
- 1:23:00Speaker 2: Woodward says during the Bush presidency and vice presidency, he
- 1:23:03Speaker 2: was leaking stuff to Woodward. But again, I don't know.
- 1:23:07Speaker 2: These guys aren't around to deny it. Woodward could be
- 1:23:10Speaker 2: just making that up. And even if it's true, why
- 1:23:15Speaker 2: would you reveal that these guys were leaking stuff? I mean,
- 1:23:19Speaker 2: these guys are.
- 1:23:21Speaker 2: They got families. They got kids. They got... I mean,
- 1:23:23Speaker 2: why would you do that? Why leak that out? Hey,
- 1:23:26Speaker 2: don't forget coming up Saturday night. It's Halloween Saturday night.
- 1:23:29Speaker 2: But also, we go off daylight saving time Saturday night.
- 1:23:33Speaker 2: Starting Sunday, it'll be dark out at 5 o'clock and
- 1:23:36Speaker 2: soon 4.30. We go off daylight saving time Saturday night
- 1:23:41Speaker 2: at 2 in the morning. It becomes 1 a.m. So
- 1:23:45Speaker 2: you'll gain an hour of sleep Saturday night. Hey, Bill Maher,
- 1:23:51Speaker 2: saying what we've been saying, that if, if, it's a
- 1:23:55Speaker 2: big if, but let's say the Democrats win the House,
- 1:23:58Speaker 2: win the Senate, take over Congress. He says that will
- 1:24:01Speaker 2: ruin them for 2028 because they'll, according to Maher, they'll
- 1:24:06Speaker 2: learn all the wrong lessons. They'll start holding hearings every
- 1:24:11Speaker 2: second on everybody. They'll investigate Trump's grandchildren. They'll impeach Trump.
- 1:24:17Speaker 2: They'll shut down drilling. They'll do all kinds of crazy things.
- 1:24:21Speaker 2: And that will kill any chance they have in 2028.
- 1:24:24Speaker 2: It will guarantee a Republican president. So if, if, if
- 1:24:31Speaker 2: Democrats win everything, that's one bright side. Also, remember, here's
- 1:24:37Speaker 2: a big article here. These left-wingers are already writing, you know,
- 1:24:40Speaker 2: if Trump loses the midterms, if the midterms are all Democrats,
- 1:24:44Speaker 2: that's the end of the Trump era. That's it. Well,
- 1:24:46Speaker 2: first of all, every president loses the House and the
- 1:24:49Speaker 2: Senate in the midterms. It always happens, especially in the
- 1:24:52Speaker 2: second term. It's tradition. Nobody ever said, well, that's the
- 1:24:56Speaker 2: end of Obama. That's the end of Clinton. But things
- 1:24:58Speaker 2: are different. Double standard. It's Trump. Anyway, we've got a
- 1:25:04Speaker 2: lot to get to. We'll take some calls next. We
- 1:25:08Speaker 2: love having new callers. If you never called before, give
- 1:25:10Speaker 2: us a call. 800-321-0710 is the number.
- 1:25:11Speaker 12: 800-321-0710.
- 1:25:18Speaker 5: 321-0710.
- 1:25:19Speaker 2: Welcome back to The Mark Simone Show.
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: Live from the WOR LifeVac studios.
- 1:25:26Speaker 2: Well, hey, we'll take some calls.
- 1:25:35Speaker 12: 800-321-0710.
- 1:25:35Speaker 17: 800-321-0710.
- 1:25:35Speaker 2: Let's go to Dave in Connecticut. Dave, how you doing?
- 1:25:40Speaker 9: Good, Mark.
- 1:25:40Speaker 3: Thanks.
- 1:25:41Speaker 5: Hey, I just wanted to reinforce what you were saying
- 1:25:43Speaker 5: earlier that Both my wife and I went in. I
- 1:25:45Speaker 5: live in New London. Both my wife and I went
- 1:25:47Speaker 5: in and voted early. And there's no lines instead of
- 1:25:51Speaker 5: waiting until Election Day when maybe there's a little more
- 1:25:54Speaker 5: ceremony going on. But, I mean, you can just bang
- 1:25:57Speaker 5: it out.
- 1:25:57Speaker 2: Yeah. All right.
- 1:25:59Speaker 7: Thanks.
- 1:25:59Speaker 2: Good point. Do the early voting. Do it this week.
- 1:26:04Speaker 2: Election Day, you got to wait in line. It takes forever.
- 1:26:08Speaker 2: You do the early voting. You walk right in. You vote.
- 1:26:10Speaker 2: You leave. There's no waiting. And who knows? Election day
- 1:26:13Speaker 2: could be bad weather. It is supposed to rain election day.
- 1:26:17Speaker 2: You could, something could come up. You can't do the
- 1:26:20Speaker 2: early voting and do it any day this week. You
- 1:26:21Speaker 2: can do it this weekend. Do the early voting. Let's
- 1:26:25Speaker 2: go to Bob in the Bronx. Bob, how you doing?
- 1:26:29Speaker 9: Oh, let me check.
- 1:26:31Speaker 11: I'm good, Mark.
- 1:26:32Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 1:26:33Speaker 15: Uh, yeah, I'm, I'm, I'm a first time caller, one
- 1:26:36Speaker 15: time listener. Um, I wanted to talk to you the
- 1:26:39Speaker 15: other day, you were talking about the, the guy would
- 1:26:41Speaker 15: about the ingredients and potato chips.
- 1:26:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:26:45Speaker 15: Uh, you were right. And he was right. I, uh,
- 1:26:48Speaker 15: I checked out the suit, like the, the original lays
- 1:26:52Speaker 15: are just potatoes, salt and oil, but, but then the,
- 1:26:56Speaker 15: and then, but the other ones were all different flavors.
- 1:26:58Speaker 15: They have all sorts of stuff.
- 1:26:59Speaker 9: So you were right about that.
- 1:27:00Speaker 2: Well, it's not me. You just got to check. Uh,
- 1:27:03Speaker 2: there is such a thing as healthy potato chips, potatoes, salt, oil.
- 1:27:07Speaker 2: But most of them have tons and tons of chemicals
- 1:27:09Speaker 2: in them. You're right.
- 1:27:10Speaker 15: All the ones with flavors and stuff like that, yeah.
- 1:27:13Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:27:14Speaker 15: I just want to say I've been listening to you
- 1:27:17Speaker 15: when you were on the other station. I always enjoyed
- 1:27:20Speaker 15: listening to you.
- 1:27:21Speaker 2: And where are you in the Bronx?
- 1:27:24Speaker 15: I'm in the Morris Park area.
- 1:27:26Speaker 2: Very nice.
- 1:27:27Speaker 15: I'm in Park Lane, Morris Park, yeah.
- 1:27:29Speaker 17: Yeah.
- 1:27:29Speaker 2: You ever go to Arthur Avenue?
- 1:27:31Speaker 5: I grew up there.
- 1:27:33Speaker 3: Oh.
- 1:27:33Speaker 2: Is it still great?
- 1:27:34Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:27:34Speaker 2: Food, everything?
- 1:27:35Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:27:36Speaker 2: Still great.
- 1:27:36Speaker 15: Well, yeah, there's good restaurants. You know, the neighborhood, like
- 1:27:40Speaker 15: I used to live down on 184th Street on St.
- 1:27:44Speaker 15: Bonaventure Hospital, and that area's changed, you know. But also
- 1:27:48Speaker 15: Avenue 187th Street, you know, they're nice. A lot of
- 1:27:53Speaker 15: good businesses there, restaurants, bakeries.
- 1:27:56Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 1:27:57Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:27:57Speaker 2: All right. Well, thanks for calling. Let's go to Lorenzo
- 1:28:03Speaker 2: in Connecticut. Lorenzo, how are you doing?
- 1:28:06Speaker 9: Good morning, Mark.
- 1:28:07Speaker 2: Yes, Lorenzo.
- 1:28:10Speaker 9: Hey, you're a really good sport. I listened to you
- 1:28:14Speaker 9: when you guest hosted for Sean Hannity. He's a great American,
- 1:28:19Speaker 9: and you're not bad yourself. But I have to admit.
- 1:28:24Speaker 2: What's the problem?
- 1:28:26Speaker 9: Why did he get married?
- 1:28:28Speaker 2: I don't know. The poor guy. What the hell did
- 1:28:30Speaker 2: he do? I don't know. Some people like to be married.
- 1:28:33Speaker 2: Some people.
- 1:28:34Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 1:28:35Speaker 9: Well, my first reaction when I hear that so-and-so is
- 1:28:37Speaker 9: getting married is, on purpose?
- 1:28:39Speaker 2: Yeah, no, that's a good point. That's a good point.
- 1:28:42Speaker 2: You know, you go to a wedding. The women are crying.
- 1:28:44Speaker 2: They're so happy. They're crying. I feel so bad for
- 1:28:48Speaker 2: the guy. I feel like he's going to prison or something.
- 1:28:50Speaker 2: Whoever's getting married, you know? And then there's that old
- 1:28:53Speaker 2: story about the wedding night, the honeymoon, the wedding night.
- 1:28:58Speaker 2: He says to her, Tell me, am I the first?
- 1:29:02Speaker 2: And she says, why has everybody asked that? So I
- 1:29:06Speaker 2: don't know. I don't know. More and more people staying single.
- 1:29:11Speaker 2: It's interesting. Less and less people getting married. Let's go
- 1:29:14Speaker 2: to Jim in New Jersey. Jim, how you doing? Hey,
- 1:29:17Speaker 2: good morning, Mark. How are you, sir? Good. Let me check.
- 1:29:20Speaker 14: Anyway, I'm just calling because You know, I keep hearing
- 1:29:25Speaker 14: about the midterms being a disaster for the Republicans, but
- 1:29:28Speaker 14: they don't really ever look back to the midterms of
- 1:29:31Speaker 14: 2022 when they said there was going to be this.
- 1:29:34Speaker 5: Big red wave.
- 1:29:36Speaker 14: And it didn't materialize because we had pretty crappy candidates
- 1:29:40Speaker 14: back then. And now it's going to be a blue wave. Well,
- 1:29:43Speaker 14: guess what? The Democrats have a lot of crappy candidates, too.
- 1:29:47Speaker 14: And I don't know. I don't see this wave happening.
- 1:29:50Speaker 2: Maybe it's just me hoping. This is all put out
- 1:29:54Speaker 2: there to discourage you from voting. The fake rigged polls
- 1:29:57Speaker 2: are called suppression polls to make you think it's hopeless
- 1:30:01Speaker 2: so you stay at home. Don't listen to any of them.
- 1:30:03Speaker 2: Right now, it looks like the Republicans will keep the Senate.
- 1:30:07Speaker 2: Right now, the House is too close to call. It's
- 1:30:10Speaker 2: all going to be about turnout. Don't believe these fake
- 1:30:13Speaker 2: college polls, these fake media polls. The metrics in them
- 1:30:16Speaker 2: are so rigged. That college poll last week, the sample
- 1:30:21Speaker 2: was $ 80. 80, 8-0, 80% Democrats in the sample. And
- 1:30:26Speaker 2: they didn't use the voter rolls. It was a terrible poll.
- 1:30:29Speaker 2: So don't fall for that. Right now, it's deadlocked as
- 1:30:33Speaker 2: far as nobody can predict the House. It could go
- 1:30:35Speaker 2: either way. It's all about turnout. Republicans, if you turn out,
- 1:30:39Speaker 2: you'll win. If there's big Republican turnout, definitely will win.
- 1:30:43Speaker 2: Let's go to Tom, Point Pleasant, New Jersey. Tom?
- 1:30:47Speaker 12: Good morning, Mark. Mark, why do you suppose it's called
- 1:30:51Speaker 12: the World Series? When only two nations are represented?
- 1:30:56Speaker 2: Well, for years it was one nation. It sounds good.
- 1:30:59Speaker 2: It sounds good. The World Series.
- 1:31:00Speaker 12: Yeah, the same with the NBA. They claim to be
- 1:31:02Speaker 12: the world champions. I like to see it more like
- 1:31:04Speaker 12: the Little League World Series where they play a lot
- 1:31:06Speaker 12: of different countries.
- 1:31:07Speaker 2: I hate when they play other countries.
- 1:31:09Speaker 9: Oh, really? Yeah. Who the hell?
- 1:31:13Speaker 2: I want to see them play the Red Sox from Boston.
- 1:31:16Speaker 2: I don't want to see them play Peru or Finland.
- 1:31:19Speaker 2: Who the hell wants to see that?
- 1:31:21Speaker 12: Well, I'd like to see them because most of the
- 1:31:22Speaker 12: players in the NBA and baseball are from other countries.
- 1:31:26Speaker 12: Maybe that's why they consider it a world championship.
- 1:31:29Speaker 2: I know, but they all come here, you'll notice. I
- 1:31:31Speaker 2: don't know. You're right. It's not the World Series. But
- 1:31:34Speaker 2: I hate you. It's like when you watch the Olympics
- 1:31:38Speaker 2: or soccer. That's the problem with soccer. It's Norway versus Chile.
- 1:31:43Speaker 2: Who the hell am I supposed to root for? I mean,
- 1:31:48Speaker 2: I don't get it. It's different if it's like the
- 1:31:52Speaker 2: World Series now. It's Tampa Bay and Milwaukee. I don't know.
- 1:31:58Speaker 2: So you get into that National League versus American League,
- 1:32:00Speaker 2: whatever fan you are. But, you know, just keep it American.
- 1:32:04Speaker 2: Keep it American. But it looks like the World Series
- 1:32:08Speaker 2: could be over tonight. It's 3-0. It looks like the
- 1:32:11Speaker 2: most lopsided series ever. Hey, when we come back, Bill O'Reilly.
- 1:32:15Speaker 2: We'll talk to him next. On 710WOR. Mark Simone.
- 1:32:20Speaker 6: Mr.
- 1:32:20Speaker 2: New York.
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: Now three hours every weekday from 9 till noon.
- 1:32:26Speaker 2: On 710WOR. Well, Bill O'Reilly, the number one TV anchor
- 1:32:31Speaker 2: for decades. He's the number one best-selling non-fiction author on earth.
- 1:32:36Speaker 2: You should get his latest book, Confronting America. Fascinating book.
- 1:32:41Speaker 2: It's probably the best one he's written so far. Confronting
- 1:32:44Speaker 2: America is available online. Right now, go to Amazon. You
- 1:32:47Speaker 2: can get it there. You can get his new podcast.
- 1:32:51Speaker 2: We'll do it live. You can get the TV show,
- 1:32:53Speaker 2: the column. You can get everything at BillOReilly.com. Go to
- 1:32:57Speaker 2: his website, BillOReilly.com. Bill O'Reilly, how are you doing?
- 1:33:02Speaker 11: You know, I'm trying to digest the Cato report that
- 1:33:07Speaker 11: says Kathy Ogle is the worst governor in the country.
- 1:33:11Speaker 2: It's quite an honor.
- 1:33:14Speaker 11: I think anybody could top Pritzker in Illinois, but apparently,
- 1:33:18Speaker 11: according to Cato, Ms. Vogel does.
- 1:33:22Speaker 2: But it doesn't mean.
- 1:33:23Speaker 11: Anything, of course, because the voters are casting their ballots
- 1:33:27Speaker 11: with emotion, not in a rational way. But it is
- 1:33:32Speaker 11: pretty chilling that we're the highest state in the union
- 1:33:36Speaker 11: as far as taxes are concerned. And now, This agency,
- 1:33:40Speaker 11: which is not a conservative, it's a libertarian agency, Cato, says, look,
- 1:33:46Speaker 11: nothing works in New York, and the governor sits there,
- 1:33:49Speaker 11: and things get worse and worse and worse, so she
- 1:33:52Speaker 11: is the worst out of the 50.
- 1:33:53Speaker 9: Wow.
- 1:33:54Speaker 2: Yeah, so she's been declared worst governor in America. This
- 1:33:59Speaker 2: will be the least covered story in New York, of course,
- 1:34:02Speaker 2: by the media.
- 1:34:03Speaker 11: Right. Although the Blakeman people should run... you know, a
- 1:34:10Speaker 11: spot or two on this. However, I think people's minds
- 1:34:17Speaker 11: are made up at this point. You know, it's a
- 1:34:19Speaker 11: week away, and I don't know if there's too many
- 1:34:22Speaker 11: undecided people floating around in New York right now.
- 1:34:28Speaker 2: Yeah. Hey, Obama on the campaign trail, getting into quite
- 1:34:32Speaker 2: a verbal battle with Donald Trump. Is Obama effective on
- 1:34:36Speaker 2: the campaign trail?
- 1:34:38Speaker 11: African-Americans like him. He can pull boats out in Michigan
- 1:34:46Speaker 11: for Al-Said. The thing about Barack Obama is his evolution.
- 1:34:52Speaker 11: And I've covered you guys in the very beginning when
- 1:34:54Speaker 11: I had that kind of brawl with his body man
- 1:34:56Speaker 11: up in New Hampshire. I don't know if you remember that.
- 1:35:00Speaker 11: But it is in my book, Confronting America. The guy
- 1:35:04Speaker 11: tried to block us from shooting it. Then Senator Obama
- 1:35:08Speaker 11: was up for a rally. This is a big guy.
- 1:35:10Speaker 11: He kept moving in front of my cameraman. I politely
- 1:35:13Speaker 11: at first told him, you know, stop it.
- 1:35:16Speaker 2: And he wouldn't.
- 1:35:17Speaker 11: So I had to take vigilante action, which I did.
- 1:35:24Speaker 11: And it's a funny story. But Obama back then was
- 1:35:28Speaker 11: not who Obama is now. And that always fascinates me.
- 1:35:33Speaker 11: So Trump and Obama, they don't like each other, but
- 1:35:37Speaker 11: interestingly enough, when they're together in person, they yuck it up.
- 1:35:41Speaker 11: I mean, you remember the few times they.
- 1:35:44Speaker 9: Were at memorial services and everything? Yeah.
- 1:35:47Speaker 11: They're not brawling or pouting or looking away. But when
- 1:35:53Speaker 11: former President Obama went down to Florida to endorse this
- 1:35:57Speaker 11: Angie Nixon thing, uh... who is a full blown communist
- 1:36:04Speaker 11: that gave me pause you know i'm going to is
- 1:36:07Speaker 11: it just about opportunism for you because you got four
- 1:36:11Speaker 11: lavish homes and angie wants to seize at least two
- 1:36:16Speaker 11: of them what are you doing you know but there's
- 1:36:19Speaker 11: never a question to barack obama from the press about
- 1:36:24Speaker 11: his evolution from kind of a left-wing mainstream guy And
- 1:36:30Speaker 11: now he's endorsing communists and Islamists. Al-Said is not a communist.
- 1:36:35Speaker 11: He's an Islamist. And Obama is endorsing both of those people.
- 1:36:41Speaker 11: It kind of surprised me.
- 1:36:45Speaker 2: Yeah. When he went after President Trump's decorating, let's be honest,
- 1:36:50Speaker 2: I don't think anybody's going to take a picture of
- 1:36:52Speaker 2: the Oval Office and say to their decorator, hey, do
- 1:36:54Speaker 2: this for me. I want this. But it's his own taste.
- 1:36:59Speaker 2: But when he went after the Cheesecake Factory, did that
- 1:37:02Speaker 2: show how out of touch he is with normal America?
- 1:37:06Speaker 13: It's a joke.
- 1:37:07Speaker 11: And I was in the Oval Office myself three weeks ago.
- 1:37:11Speaker 2: It looks great.
- 1:37:12Speaker 9: I'm sorry.
- 1:37:13Speaker 11: And I'm not a gaudy guy.
- 1:37:14Speaker 3: I'm not a gold guy.
- 1:37:17Speaker 11: But it looked great to me. And I was in
- 1:37:22Speaker 11: the Oval Office when Barack Obama was president. It looked
- 1:37:25Speaker 11: good then. But it spruced up. in Trump's style, but
- 1:37:30Speaker 11: that was just a joke, a one-liner. I mean, the
- 1:37:34Speaker 11: luckiest people on Earth are the Cheesecake Factory people, right?
- 1:37:37Speaker 11: Now everybody's running in. They should have an Obama and
- 1:37:41Speaker 11: Trump special every day.
- 1:37:42Speaker 3: The Cheesecake people.
- 1:37:46Speaker 11: So, I don't take any of that seriously. You'll find
- 1:37:50Speaker 11: this interesting, Simone, because you follow this stuff. I told
- 1:37:56Speaker 11: my staff this morning enough with the social media cranks
- 1:38:01Speaker 11: on both sides. Enough. I don't want to hear about them.
- 1:38:06Speaker 11: I don't care what they say. It doesn't matter to
- 1:38:10Speaker 11: the country. They're just trying to do it to get
- 1:38:12Speaker 11: attention and money, sell ads or whatever, give speeches. I
- 1:38:18Speaker 11: don't want to even, I don't want you guys to
- 1:38:22Speaker 11: even present it to me, no matter how bizarre it is.
- 1:38:26Speaker 11: It doesn't matter. It's a con. okay? I know all
- 1:38:32Speaker 11: these people personally, all of them, and I know why
- 1:38:35Speaker 11: they're doing what they're doing, and it doesn't matter. What
- 1:38:40Speaker 11: matters is corruption at the government level, like Alaska. Alaska,
- 1:38:46Speaker 11: when you sneak a name onto a ballot, The same
- 1:38:50Speaker 11: name as a Republican running for the Senate?
- 1:38:54Speaker 13: Who did that?
- 1:38:56Speaker 11: Who snuck the name on there? The guy's an ex-school teacher.
- 1:39:00Speaker 11: He hasn't done one event. His name is Dan Sullivan,
- 1:39:04Speaker 11: and Dan Sullivan is the name of the principal GOP.
- 1:39:08Speaker 3: Guy on the ballot.
- 1:39:09Speaker 11: Who did it? Well, the media doesn't want to know.
- 1:39:14Speaker 5: Who did it.
- 1:39:16Speaker 11: They have no interest at all. And the Justice Department
- 1:39:20Speaker 11: is now getting involved to find out how this could
- 1:39:23Speaker 11: possibly happen.
- 1:39:25Speaker 13: That's a good story.
- 1:39:27Speaker 11: That's corruption. And of course, you know, you put on
- 1:39:31Speaker 11: CNN and it's, oh, look at Trump's doing. Yeah, that's
- 1:39:35Speaker 11: Trump's job to root out corruption. Okay, you got it? Oh,
- 1:39:42Speaker 11: that just gets me crazy.
- 1:39:44Speaker 2: You used to work at CBS News. Do you ever
- 1:39:46Speaker 2: think you'd live to see the day where they don't
- 1:39:48Speaker 2: investigate major stories?
- 1:39:51Speaker 13: Yes.
- 1:39:52Speaker 9: Yes.
- 1:39:52Speaker 11: I have to answer honestly. And I have that big
- 1:39:55Speaker 11: story in Confronting America, what has to change, about me
- 1:39:58Speaker 11: and Dan Rather. I saw it up close, eye to eye.
- 1:40:04Speaker 11: I saw the corruption. I knew what Rather was trying
- 1:40:07Speaker 11: to do. And I left.
- 1:40:11Speaker 5: I left the job. I went to Boston.
- 1:40:15Speaker 11: And I just couldn't work there. Now, when I worked
- 1:40:20Speaker 11: at ABC, because I came back to New York at
- 1:40:22Speaker 11: Rune Arledge's request, that was not in play there then.
- 1:40:29Speaker 11: Jennings wouldn't do that, but rather did it from the jump.
- 1:40:35Speaker 11: And so to answer your question, yeah, I saw it.
- 1:40:39Speaker 11: And then it got worse and worse and worse and
- 1:40:41Speaker 11: worse at CBS.
- 1:40:43Speaker 12: Hmm.
- 1:40:44Speaker 2: Yeah, Cronkite, he was a left-wing guy, but he tried
- 1:40:47Speaker 2: to keep the slant down to a minimum.
- 1:40:50Speaker 11: Yeah, he was a World War II guy. All those
- 1:40:52Speaker 11: guys who trained.
- 1:40:53Speaker 5: In World War II in Europe, Murrow.
- 1:40:56Speaker 11: And Cronkite, they were all there, and they had rules
- 1:41:00Speaker 11: for the road. That's what we do. They're all liberal guys,
- 1:41:02Speaker 11: all of them. But that's okay. That's all right. As
- 1:41:07Speaker 11: long as you're not trying to impose or twist the
- 1:41:10Speaker 11: news in a certain way to benefit your own belief system,
- 1:41:14Speaker 11: it's fine. But what Rather did was he wanted to
- 1:41:20Speaker 11: impose his view of the world and the country on
- 1:41:25Speaker 11: every single individual at CBS News. And I'm not standing
- 1:41:30Speaker 11: for it. And I wasn't even, I was a reporter,
- 1:41:33Speaker 11: I was a commentator back then, I was covering the wars.
- 1:41:37Speaker 11: But what they did to me and others was awful,
- 1:41:40Speaker 11: and that's why I have that chapter in Confronting America
- 1:41:44Speaker 11: about it.
- 1:41:46Speaker 2: Yeah, so rather, he really was the father of modern-day
- 1:41:48Speaker 2: fake news. He really opened up this can of worms
- 1:41:52Speaker 2: for everybody.
- 1:41:53Speaker 11: Well, he's 95 years old now, and he's still pushing
- 1:41:56Speaker 11: the left agenda. Still doing it. And as you may remember,
- 1:42:02Speaker 11: he got booted out of CBS because he dealt with
- 1:42:06Speaker 11: fake documents about Bush the Younger's National Guard service. And
- 1:42:11Speaker 11: I wasn't surprised they caught him because he was so
- 1:42:16Speaker 11: blatant about it. It was so obvious. So anyway, look,
- 1:42:22Speaker 11: we're in a bad place, but the good news is
- 1:42:25Speaker 11: that there are outlets where you can get the truth
- 1:42:31Speaker 11: in the media and in social media. But a lot
- 1:42:34Speaker 11: of people, they just hear this stuff and they believe
- 1:42:37Speaker 11: it and, oh, boy. The affordability thing is the best.
- 1:42:42Speaker 11: The affordability thing. You think the Democratic Party is going
- 1:42:47Speaker 11: to make your life more affordable?
- 1:42:49Speaker 9: Do you really believe that?
- 1:42:53Speaker 11: When for the past 50 years that party has done
- 1:42:56Speaker 11: nothing but raise taxes? When there was the big tax-cutting bill,
- 1:43:02Speaker 11: the big beautiful bill, not one Democrat in Congress voted
- 1:43:06Speaker 11: for it? And you think... that these people are going
- 1:43:10Speaker 11: to make your wallet heavier? And when I hear and
- 1:43:17Speaker 11: see that, I just think the person is either brainwashed
- 1:43:21Speaker 11: or stupid. Okay, because we all live in New York
- 1:43:28Speaker 11: now and in Jersey and Connecticut, the highest taxed states
- 1:43:31Speaker 11: in the union.
- 1:43:33Speaker 2: Because they're controlled by Democrats. Bill O'Reilly, we're out of time. But, hey,
- 1:43:37Speaker 2: if you want to read a fascinating book, get his
- 1:43:39Speaker 2: latest book, Confronting America. There's all sorts of great stories
- 1:43:43Speaker 2: and moments in America. Confronting America is the new book
- 1:43:46Speaker 2: by Bill O'Reilly. Listen to his podcast. We'll do it live.
- 1:43:51Speaker 2: Watch his YouTube channel. And go to BillOReilly.com where you
- 1:43:55Speaker 2: can get links to everything. BillOReilly.com. Bill O'Reilly, thanks for
- 1:43:59Speaker 2: being with us.
- 1:44:01Speaker 11: All right, and congratulations to Kathy Hochul. It's a great
- 1:44:06Speaker 11: honor being made the worst governor in the United States
- 1:44:10Speaker 11: of America.
- 1:44:12Speaker 2: Maybe there's another plaque. Bill O'Reilly, thanks. Take care. Talk
- 1:44:17Speaker 2: to you soon. Yeah, Kathy Hochul was voted the single
- 1:44:20Speaker 2: worst governor in America, actually by a very good study. Hey,
- 1:44:25Speaker 2: don't forget at noon, it's Buck and Clay with an
- 1:44:27Speaker 2: excellent show. Three o'clock, the most listened to radio show
- 1:44:31Speaker 2: in America. Sean Hannity will be back. He'll be on
- 1:44:33Speaker 2: today at three. Jesse Kelly at six. Jimmy Fallon, funny
- 1:44:38Speaker 2: show every night at nine. I'm here nine to noon,
- 1:44:41Speaker 2: three hours every day, nine to noon. And then, of course,
- 1:44:44Speaker 2: right before me, it's Curtis Lewa and Larry Mendte. 6
- 1:44:48Speaker 2: to 9, 710WOR.
- 1:44:51Speaker 7: More Mark.
- 1:44:52Speaker 2: Mark Simone.
- 1:44:53Speaker 13: Mr.
- 1:44:53Speaker 7: New York.
- 1:44:54Speaker 1: Now three hours every weekday from 9 till noon on 710WOR.
- 1:45:01Speaker 2: Well, hey, we're out of time. Big day in Israel.
- 1:45:04Speaker 2: This is election day in Israel. The results, no results yet.
- 1:45:08Speaker 2: It's about, I think it's about 6 o'clock there. There's
- 1:45:11Speaker 2: a six-hour time difference. Normally, there's a seven-hour time difference
- 1:45:16Speaker 2: with Israel, but They go off daylight saving time a
- 1:45:19Speaker 2: week before we do. So for one week, it's a
- 1:45:21Speaker 2: six-hour time difference. But we'll know later. By this evening,
