- 0:12Speaker 1: Hen no no no no no, no, no no. Welcome
- 0:14Speaker 1: to the Naughty but Nice Show. I'm your host, Rob Shooter,
- 0:18Speaker 1: and it is Monday, which means our dear friend, Garrett
- 0:22Speaker 1: Vogel joins us, Hey, Garrett, are you there?
- 0:24Speaker 2: We are back together again, Rob Shooter, like we never
- 0:27Speaker 2: left Hell.
- 0:29Speaker 1: I like you. I've known you a long time, my friend.
- 0:31Speaker 1: You make me happy, Garrett. You've got that really sweet
- 0:35Speaker 1: personality that is always fun to hang out with.
- 0:39Speaker 2: Some call it the boy next door.
- 0:41Speaker 1: Yes, that's what it is. Don't take this as an insult.
- 0:45Speaker 1: Ryan Seacrest said this, and it made total sense to me.
- 0:48Speaker 1: They asked Ryan what flavor I scream he would be,
- 0:52Speaker 1: and he said vanilla, because I get along with every
- 0:55Speaker 1: other flavor. Like you can put anything with vanilla. If
- 0:57Speaker 1: I'm chocolate, of strawberry or banana, if I put that
- 1:01Speaker 1: a scoop of that with a scoop of vanilla, it
- 1:03Speaker 1: always works.
- 1:04Speaker 2: See. It's the way you deliver the word vanilla, you know.
- 1:07Speaker 2: So if you're like, oh, you know, you're vanilla in
- 1:09Speaker 2: a sense of like I enjoy vanilla. But then there's
- 1:11Speaker 2: others that are like your vanilla. So it's all how
- 1:15Speaker 2: you deliver it, you know. But more importantly, I think
- 1:18Speaker 2: you and I need to start practicing for the twenty
- 1:20Speaker 2: twenty eight Olympics. You and I should find I think
- 1:23Speaker 2: maybe maybe some synchronized choreographed dancing in the pool, something
- 1:28Speaker 2: along the lines where you and I can meddle and
- 1:31Speaker 2: be proud of it. Well, actually you wouldn't be able
- 1:33Speaker 2: to compete. We would be would be competing for Britain.
- 1:36Speaker 1: Although I'm an American now, I'm an American citizens, So
- 1:39Speaker 1: I think it's garret that our worry here is not
- 1:42Speaker 1: the countries we were born, and it's the fact we
- 1:44Speaker 1: can't do anything in the Olympics. Like that's a much
- 1:46Speaker 1: bigger problem to me than the country.
- 1:49Speaker 2: What have you have you seen? Did you see the
- 1:51Speaker 2: breakdancer favorite Australia.
- 1:54Speaker 1: We'll get to that. We've got a lot of Olympic
- 1:55Speaker 1: stories today. Let's jump into the show. What time is it?
- 1:58Speaker 1: My friends? It is tea big storming. At the top
- 2:01Speaker 1: of the show, Tom Cruise stole the show, closing the
- 2:05Speaker 1: Paris Olympics with a daring stunt. So Tom, who's pretty
- 2:09Speaker 1: much redefined what it is to be an action hero
- 2:12Speaker 1: movie star on the big screen made a grand appearance
- 2:16Speaker 1: at the Paris Olympics. I don't know if you saw it,
- 2:18Speaker 1: but it closed on Sunday night. It was magnificent, two
- 2:21Speaker 1: magnificent weeks. The ratings are through the roof. They're up
- 2:24Speaker 1: like sixty seventy percent over Tokyo. They are monster ratings,
- 2:29Speaker 1: so everybody is really really excited about Paris. But in
- 2:32Speaker 1: true Tom Cruise fashion, the Hollywood Icon he jumped off
- 2:37Speaker 1: the roof of the stadium and he glided down onto
- 2:42Speaker 1: the field where he took the flag and then in
- 2:46Speaker 1: a pre taped piece, he flew it to La where
- 2:51Speaker 1: the games are gonna be in twenty twenty A. I
- 2:55Speaker 1: loved it. I liked the motor cycle when he was
- 2:57Speaker 1: driving out of the stadium. I liked the player. I
- 3:00Speaker 1: liked him landing at the Hollywood side. I thought it
- 3:02Speaker 1: was really clever. It reminded me a little bit of
- 3:04Speaker 1: the British Olympics when the Queen it wasn't really her,
- 3:08Speaker 1: it was a stunt double, but the Queen jumped out
- 3:10Speaker 1: of a helicopter with jedspond.
- 3:12Speaker 2: That's the difference, though that actually was Tom Cruise. Tom
- 3:15Speaker 2: doesn't Tom stunt double like makes a lot of money
- 3:18Speaker 2: for probably doing little to no work, you know what
- 3:20Speaker 2: I mean, Like the man does it himself and he says,
- 3:25Speaker 2: you know, getting to see him maybe about a year
- 3:27Speaker 2: ago for when Mission Impossible came out, he goes, it's
- 3:31Speaker 2: more believable if I do it, like you can have
- 3:33Speaker 2: someone do it who was very talented and can can
- 3:36Speaker 2: make things look good. But if it's not me, it
- 3:38Speaker 2: doesn't feel authentic to me. So that's why he does
- 3:41Speaker 2: all that stuff. That was him skydiving out of a
- 3:43Speaker 2: plane landing near the Hollywood sign. You know, that was
- 3:46Speaker 2: him actually riding a motorcycle. Think about it, if you
- 3:49Speaker 2: or I try to ride a motorcycle around the Olympians,
- 3:51Speaker 2: there would be deaths, unfortunately, I.
- 3:53Speaker 1: Mean that would clumbs. It'd be such a disaster.
- 3:56Speaker 2: I mean it was. It was true Hollywood fashion because
- 4:00Speaker 2: and think about it too, twenty twenty eight, La Hollywood.
- 4:04Speaker 2: Where who would you think else would be the mega
- 4:08Speaker 2: Hollywood star?
- 4:09Speaker 1: No one thinking about these huge stars Like for me there,
- 4:11Speaker 1: I've got to admit my moment of the Olympics Simone Biles,
- 4:15Speaker 1: I'm gonna take that away. I loved the runner who
- 4:18Speaker 1: had COVID, who still managed to get a bronze. I
- 4:21Speaker 1: thought he was fantastic. I also too, I'm remembering I'm
- 4:25Speaker 1: thinking about Celene Dion on the Eiffel Tower, like that's
- 4:28Speaker 1: had to open a show.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Oh yeah, no, of course, But I'm thinking like passing
- 4:31Speaker 2: of the torch. I'm talking about when you think Hollywood
- 4:34Speaker 2: and someone to represent Hollywood, Like what bigger star can
- 4:38Speaker 2: you get? Then Tom Cruise to go, Hey, we will
- 4:42Speaker 2: accept the Olympics on our behalf. Like I think Tom
- 4:44Speaker 2: Cruise is at the top of the list.
- 4:46Speaker 1: I think answer in question, Yeah, the person who's going
- 4:48Speaker 1: to open the Games in four years in LA has
- 4:51Speaker 1: to be Tom. I mean it has to be Tom's
- 4:53Speaker 1: showing up and delivering the torch and the a man
- 4:56Speaker 1: of celebrities that are going to do this, who should
- 4:58Speaker 1: be the Celine Dion of l A. I was thinking,
- 5:01Speaker 1: like Gwenster Farm is very LA. She's a really LA
- 5:05Speaker 1: rock star. Taylor Swift is the biggest star in the world.
- 5:08Speaker 1: So maybe Taylor, although I think she's more New York
- 5:10Speaker 1: than l A.
- 5:11Speaker 2: Right, you know, it's it's it's a hard snoop already,
- 5:16Speaker 2: you know, I think we've we've seen our fair share.
- 5:18Speaker 1: Of I think, yes, it was very nice, but I
- 5:20Speaker 1: think I think.
- 5:21Speaker 2: We're snooped out. Yeah, I don't know. I mean, you
- 5:24Speaker 2: gotta you gotta think. You gotta think huge.
- 5:26Speaker 1: I mean huge bruce stars like Madonna. It's got to
- 5:29Speaker 1: be huge, mega stars like Beyonce.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Se Beyonce doing it. Yeah, I can actually see Beyonce
- 5:35Speaker 2: doing it. Yeah, Beyonce could be the biggest, even though
- 5:38Speaker 2: she's not from l A. But still, but but at
- 5:40Speaker 2: that point, it's representing the US and not just l A.
- 5:43Speaker 1: You know, to be honest to Selene, Dianni is not French.
- 5:45Speaker 1: I mean, she's right, so you know, we can we
- 5:48Speaker 1: can sort of shave this a little bit. It doesn't
- 5:51Speaker 1: have to be totally authentic.
- 5:53Speaker 2: Maybe Selene can come back and relive the Atlanta game.
- 5:56Speaker 1: And should come back Celena and this time do a
- 5:59Speaker 1: song in in English. We can understand the words and
- 6:02Speaker 1: oh yes, Saline, Beauty and the Beast Sleen okay, which
- 6:06Speaker 1: brings us to our pole question of the day. Tom
- 6:07Speaker 1: stole the show. It was magnificent. Now, I know Tom
- 6:10Speaker 1: gets on some people's nerves, and I know there's a
- 6:12Speaker 1: lot of questions about scientology. Suri, I get all that.
- 6:15Speaker 1: But nevertheless, when Tom does this, when Tom is being
- 6:19Speaker 1: Ethan Hunt from Mission impossible, there's nobody else that can
- 6:22Speaker 1: do this. It's amazing. Our question is who did it better?
- 6:25Speaker 1: Who did you like better? Tom or Celine Diann? You
- 6:28Speaker 1: can only pick one? Is it Tom or is it Saline?
- 6:32Speaker 1: What are you taking away?
- 6:33Speaker 2: Not fair?
- 6:34Speaker 1: You've got to Jimmy's a good choice to jews. Okay, okay,
- 6:40Speaker 1: don't forget to vote on today's Twitter page and auto
- 6:43Speaker 1: nys rab or our Facebook page and already go zip
- 6:45Speaker 1: and be sure to check back tomorrow to hear your results. Hey,
- 6:49Speaker 1: what are you working on?
- 6:51Speaker 2: So let's continue with the Olympics. So you might have
- 6:53Speaker 2: heard this over the weekend. Came out Friday afternoon, Jordan
- 6:56Speaker 2: Chiles of the Magnificent women's gymnastics team. Unfortunately, it looks
- 7:02Speaker 2: like she has to hand back her bronze medal that
- 7:06Speaker 2: she she won just a just a few days ago.
- 7:09Speaker 2: Came out. It went through like this. I didn't realize
- 7:11Speaker 2: the the Olympics had like court, you know, like where
- 7:15Speaker 2: lawyers are fighting over over little simple rules. But her
- 7:19Speaker 2: teammates Simone Biles and Sunny Lee are sticking up for her. Teammate,
- 7:24Speaker 2: just like a good teammate would pretty much talking about
- 7:26Speaker 2: their frustration over Instagram and defending defending Jordan Childs as well.
- 7:33Speaker 2: Simone Biles even showed her support by sharing this this
- 7:36Speaker 2: post on her story as well, saying that that sending
- 7:41Speaker 2: you so much love, Jordan, keep your chin up, Olympic champ.
- 7:44Speaker 2: We love you. And here's the interesting thing, Rob Shooter,
- 7:47Speaker 2: I was very close to that bronze medal on Friday.
- 7:50Speaker 2: Jordan Chiles was in our building support showing off all
- 7:54Speaker 2: her medals to everybody on on our floor, and there
- 7:58Speaker 2: was the bronze medal and no, no less. Then maybe
- 8:00Speaker 2: about an hour later, the story came out that she
- 8:03Speaker 2: has to give it back. But as of this morning,
- 8:06Speaker 2: the US side of things are appealing that, saying that
- 8:09Speaker 2: there they will find a way to make sure she
- 8:12Speaker 2: keeps that bronze medal. So though the Olympics are asking
- 8:15Speaker 2: for it back, the US are fighting back just as
- 8:18Speaker 2: we typically do.
- 8:20Speaker 1: Would you give it to the Americans? You don't getting
- 8:22Speaker 1: it back now?
- 8:23Speaker 2: Absolutely, You're going to need a good lawyer.
- 8:25Speaker 1: You're going to need a good lawyer, you know.
- 8:27Speaker 2: She call the bronze the bronze medal is heavy. It
- 8:32Speaker 2: is so heavy. And the fact that that a piece
- 8:34Speaker 2: which I'm curious how they did that. A piece of
- 8:37Speaker 2: the Eiffel Tower is ingrained in everything the Eiffel Tower.
- 8:42Speaker 2: I know, I'm a curious.
- 8:44Speaker 1: That doesn't seem right. Well, I think she needs to
- 8:47Speaker 1: get Gwyneth Paltrow's lawyer, because then she'll keep her medal.
- 8:50Speaker 1: That's a good lawyer, the one that skiing. I love
- 8:54Speaker 1: that trial. It's too much. That's a good lawyer. Okay,
- 8:58Speaker 1: moving along, Britney Smith. We actually predicted this a couple
- 9:01Speaker 1: of days ago. Brittany has responded to Bake Blake lively.
- 9:04Speaker 1: So Blake wore Britney's two thousand and two Versarci dressed
- 9:08Speaker 1: to her movie premiere. It ends with Us and it
- 9:11Speaker 1: was a real tribute to Britney. Blake loves Britney speure,
- 9:15Speaker 1: she said, she meant so much to me. However, Holsey
- 9:18Speaker 1: loves Britney too, and she recently recreated one of Britney's
- 9:22Speaker 1: looks in a music video and Brittany didn't like it.
- 9:24Speaker 1: She said it was rude and disrespectful. Brittan.
- 9:26Speaker 2: She deleted.
- 9:29Speaker 1: And she's changed her mind again here So I predicted
- 9:32Speaker 1: Brittany might not take this well, and she didn't at first,
- 9:34Speaker 1: So Brittany posted a picture of herself in a new
- 9:37Speaker 1: interpretation of the dress, saying I like it way better.
- 9:42Speaker 1: Then after people said, oh, that's shady, she's coming after Blake,
- 9:45Speaker 1: and then Brittany added, I know Blake lively, but I
- 9:49Speaker 1: like it. So she clarified that she did not want
- 9:52Speaker 1: to put any shade out there. It's so tricky, isn't it?
- 9:55Speaker 1: Social media? Can you respond? Make it sure it's very clear,
- 9:58Speaker 1: because this could have read either way. When she said
- 10:01Speaker 1: in all capitals, I like it's way better, you think
- 10:07Speaker 1: she's talking about Blake, not her original dress. So I'm
- 10:11Speaker 1: glad she clarified it, but also to it, it makes me
- 10:13Speaker 1: sad that when somebody does something nice this has happened
- 10:16Speaker 1: to me, you take it the wrong way. Instincts, hopefully
- 10:21Speaker 1: I always go with the positive.
- 10:23Speaker 2: Not that yet, But when you're but between text messages
- 10:26Speaker 2: and captions online, that's you're left to your own interpretation.
- 10:30Speaker 2: So whatever little little thing is in your hand, you're
- 10:33Speaker 2: automatically thrown that this is going to be a sarcastic,
- 10:37Speaker 2: mean upsetting and no one reads it. In a positive note.
- 10:42Speaker 2: You know what I mean. You could You could send
- 10:43Speaker 2: me a text going like you send me a text
- 10:45Speaker 2: toll low right. I could read it in nine different ways,
- 10:48Speaker 2: and it's a matter of Yeah.
- 10:50Speaker 1: I called you vanilla. I called you vanilla. You could
- 10:53Speaker 1: have taken that in any different way too. This is
- 10:55Speaker 1: interesting now. I spoke to a friend of Britney's and
- 10:57Speaker 1: they said they defended Brittany and I never thought about
- 10:59Speaker 1: it like this. They said, she's had so much hate
- 11:01Speaker 1: throwing at her online. She's had so many people ruin
- 11:04Speaker 1: her life, including her dad, a conservatorship. She's sensitive, She's
- 11:08Speaker 1: overly sensitive. And they said we have to cut her
- 11:10Speaker 1: a break here because whenever you seem to do something
- 11:13Speaker 1: nice for Britney, she's suspicious. She wonders, what do you want?
- 11:16Speaker 1: What do you have to It's a horrible way to live.
- 11:18Speaker 2: But you know, it's interesting as well too. Her biopic
- 11:21Speaker 2: is now being turned into a movie, and as of Thursday,
- 11:26Speaker 2: or before the premiere, there was talks about Sabrina Carpenter
- 11:30Speaker 2: Sydney Sweeney. But I think after this dress, and I
- 11:34Speaker 2: think Blake did it on purpose in an intentional manner,
- 11:37Speaker 2: she could be in the running to play Britney spears.
- 11:39Speaker 1: It would be great, It would be great. I worry
- 11:42Speaker 1: a little bit about age because Britney's going to be
- 11:44Speaker 1: very young in this movie. Like I wonder how they're
- 11:47Speaker 1: going to do that. I don't want another Dear Evan
- 11:49Speaker 1: Hanson where it doesn't quite sort of all look right.
- 11:51Speaker 1: But yeah, Blake could do it. I saw the movie.
- 11:54Speaker 1: I went to see it on Did you like it?
- 11:56Speaker 1: I really like the book. This is my type of novel,
- 11:58Speaker 1: Like I like those big, sweeping romances. They call them
- 12:02Speaker 1: beach reads, and I think they say that as a
- 12:04Speaker 1: little bit of a dick to put them down, as
- 12:05Speaker 1: if they're not real literature. I loved it. It's very true.
- 12:09Speaker 1: It's over the top, and the movie's terrific. Blake's do youlightful.
- 12:13Speaker 1: She's just so lovely.
- 12:14Speaker 2: How about that? How about that rooftop scene with Blake
- 12:18Speaker 2: and her co star? You know Ryan directed that stud
- 12:20Speaker 2: I almost like a like like almost a sophisticated, you know,
- 12:25Speaker 2: love making scene directed by your husband.
- 12:28Speaker 1: Very very strange, And now it seems as if they've
- 12:30Speaker 1: all fell out. Her co star, it doesn't look like
- 12:32Speaker 1: they're even talking to him at the Red Carpet premiere.
- 12:34Speaker 1: I noticed they took no pictures together, and so I
- 12:37Speaker 1: think there's a little bit of beef there. We'll get
- 12:38Speaker 1: to the bottom of it. Okay, before we go to
- 12:40Speaker 1: break Garret, what's going on with Travis Kelsey's dad, Dad,
- 12:45Speaker 1: what's happening?
- 12:46Speaker 2: So, so dad's actually doing what dads do best, sticking
- 12:49Speaker 2: up for your kids. So you might have heard Kanye
- 12:53Speaker 2: has a new album song. By the way, his album
- 12:56Speaker 2: came in number two, number one. Travis's dad, Ed Kelsey,
- 13:02Speaker 2: got some strong words for mister Kanye, of course. So
- 13:05Speaker 2: after Kanye dropped Taylor and Travis's name in one of
- 13:10Speaker 2: his new songs, Ed took to here's my problem. He
- 13:12Speaker 2: took to Facebook like he's only only talking. He's talking
- 13:16Speaker 2: to her parents, you know what I mean. He's not
- 13:18Speaker 2: talking to the world unfortunately. So here's what I posted
- 13:21Speaker 2: an article about the the lyrics calling calling it mental
- 13:26Speaker 2: illness on full display, which is alludes to Kanye's well struggles.
- 13:31Speaker 2: Of course. Uh, you know the mention was reignited, those
- 13:35Speaker 2: memories going all the way back to the v M
- 13:37Speaker 2: A s uh and uh, you know Kanye calling h Taylor.
- 13:41Speaker 2: You know that that be after you know, the song famous,
- 13:45Speaker 2: but you know, uh, Travis, Travis can't say anything because
- 13:49Speaker 2: all it does is it really just brings Taylor and
- 13:52Speaker 2: Travis down to that level, which I think Taylor has
- 13:54Speaker 2: done very well, even though she she finds subliminal ways
- 13:58Speaker 2: to get things in there, she will not outspeak. But Ed,
- 14:01Speaker 2: on the other hand, if you ever seen Ed Kelsey,
- 14:04Speaker 2: Travis's dad, Travis and Jason's dad, he's like the guys.
- 14:08Speaker 2: He's the guy you would see at the bar that
- 14:10Speaker 2: would just like tell you how it is, you know
- 14:12Speaker 2: what I mean. Like if he doesn't like you, he's
- 14:13Speaker 2: gonna tell you know what I mean, and he'll post
- 14:15Speaker 2: about it on Facebook.
- 14:16Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I like that dads defend their kids here,
- 14:20Speaker 1: I totally get it. I do question for a second though,
- 14:23Speaker 1: talking about mental health. It's something that's very real and
- 14:26Speaker 1: it's something that Kanye really has has suffered with. But
- 14:29Speaker 1: I think here he handled it in a well intentioned way,
- 14:33Speaker 1: and he's angry stop talking about Travis and Taylor. Like
- 14:37Speaker 1: Kanye move on, Taylor's moved on. He won't let it go.
- 14:41Speaker 2: And you know what, I think, it's just it speaks
- 14:44Speaker 2: volumes on the way that his album came in number two.
- 14:47Speaker 2: He's always been used to number one and the person
- 14:50Speaker 2: to stop him from being number one was tailor Taylor Swift.
- 14:53Speaker 1: Okay, before we get a break, I just want to
- 14:55Speaker 1: mention it was lovely to see Kate Middleton. She made
- 14:58Speaker 1: a rare appearance with her husband Prince William to celebrate
- 15:01Speaker 1: Great Britain's Olympians. They put add a video on Sunday.
- 15:05Speaker 1: It's a lovely little video, quite short. She says, from
- 15:08Speaker 1: all of us watching at home, Oh that's so sweet,
- 15:11Speaker 1: and then William went on to say, well done on
- 15:15Speaker 1: all you have achieved. You've been an inspiration to all
- 15:20Speaker 1: of us. Just the lovely, lovely video. It's so good
- 15:22Speaker 1: to see Kate. Okay, we're going to take a quick
- 15:24Speaker 1: break and we will be right back. Welcome back to
- 15:29Speaker 1: the Naughty but I share mum shooting Hi with her
- 15:30Speaker 1: differend Garrett Virgel hep, Garrett, Let's get to the polls Latuo.
- 15:35Speaker 1: We talked about Travis, who's very concerned after an attempted
- 15:39Speaker 1: terrorist tack. It was foiled, thank goodness, thank goodness. At
- 15:43Speaker 1: Taylor Swift's show in Vienna, a question was should he
- 15:47Speaker 1: jump on a plane to be with her. Would you
- 15:48Speaker 1: jump on a plane if this happened to your loved one.
- 15:51Speaker 1: He's in training, so he'd have to take some time
- 15:53Speaker 1: off work. Would you do it? Let's have a look.
- 15:55Speaker 1: Eighty percent said yes, I would have gone. What about you, Garrett?
- 15:58Speaker 2: Oh, hey, as long as for well, it's teller security,
- 16:03Speaker 2: so you know you're gonna be safe. Yes, so yes,
- 16:06Speaker 2: I guess you have to. But but again they both
- 16:10Speaker 2: understand their work situation, so it's one of those you know,
- 16:13Speaker 2: she's also looking out for him. Hey, I want you
- 16:15Speaker 2: to be safe. Stay over there. I'm surrounded by you know, military,
- 16:20Speaker 2: the best of the best.
- 16:21Speaker 1: She's the best, So yeah, I get it. But even
- 16:23Speaker 1: if she said if I thought Bruce was in danger,
- 16:26Speaker 1: and even if the plot had passed, I think I
- 16:29Speaker 1: would jump on a plane and he would tell me
- 16:31Speaker 1: not to come. He'd say, no, I'm fine, don't come,
- 16:33Speaker 1: you're at work. I would definitely go, I'm with you.
- 16:35Speaker 1: Naughtyse don't forget to vote on today's pom. Go to
- 16:38Speaker 1: Twitter page Naughty Nice Romba on our Facebook page, which
- 16:42Speaker 1: is Naughty Gossip, and be sure to check back tomorrow
- 16:46Speaker 1: to hear your results. And now it's time for our
- 16:50Speaker 1: nice start of the day.
- 16:52Speaker 2: Yes, come along, friends. So Adele she's doing these these
- 16:56Speaker 2: big she's doing like almost like a festival residency where
- 17:00Speaker 2: they you know, they built out like Adell Town, where
- 17:03Speaker 2: like like there's tents and and there's games and there's
- 17:06Speaker 2: a rise and she's putting on my I believe ten
- 17:09Speaker 2: or so shows. But she pretty much confirmed the news
- 17:12Speaker 2: that I think we've all known but been waiting for
- 17:14Speaker 2: the official announcement, that she is she's engaged to Rich
- 17:19Speaker 2: Paul Lebron, James's big super agent. You know, they've been
- 17:23Speaker 2: dating for three years, and it feels like ever since
- 17:25Speaker 2: they started dating, like a week later, they've been engaged,
- 17:27Speaker 2: you know what I mean, Like everybody's been like I've
- 17:29Speaker 2: been engaged, but no one really knew. So of course
- 17:32Speaker 2: Adele made the announcement during her concert in Germany when
- 17:37Speaker 2: responding to a fan asking for a marriage, but polso
- 17:40Speaker 2: with a little smile, she said, I can't. I can't,
- 17:42Speaker 2: Mariu because mari as my Adele, and she held up
- 17:47Speaker 2: her left hand to and single you know, the engagement ring,
- 17:51Speaker 2: but so so by the way, the ring like almost
- 17:55Speaker 2: nine hundred thousand dollars, which is crazy. But here's the thing.
- 18:00Speaker 2: She made the announcement and everybody's watching her on stage.
- 18:03Speaker 2: Her fiance Aka is at the Olympics. I mean, you
- 18:07Speaker 2: would think you were on to make the announcement together.
- 18:09Speaker 2: Like if I made the announcement that I was getting
- 18:12Speaker 2: married to my wife at the time and she was
- 18:14Speaker 2: nowhere near, like it would kind of be a little awkward.
- 18:17Speaker 1: You know.
- 18:18Speaker 2: But they're superstars, so I get it.
- 18:20Speaker 1: It's a little awkward. Congratulations, I nice this of the day.
- 18:23Speaker 1: I noticed dat Gwen Stevani has canceled the Atlantic City
- 18:27Speaker 1: concert due to a mystery illness, saying, I'm.
- 18:29Speaker 2: Sorry for the Olympics in twenty eight it's really sad.
- 18:34Speaker 1: We don't know what's going on here. She said it's
- 18:35Speaker 1: a result of a recent injury. She's consulted her doctors
- 18:39Speaker 1: and advice that she's not being able to perform. Once again,
- 18:42Speaker 1: let me be clear her, We're not saying that that
- 18:45Speaker 1: Gwenny's the naughtiest of the day. We're just saying what
- 18:47Speaker 1: a bummer it is when you make all these preparations
- 18:49Speaker 1: and you're really looking forward to something, a big night out.
- 18:51Speaker 1: It's happened to all of us. It's not the star's faults,
- 18:55Speaker 1: and I think though it's still up setting. So Gwen,
- 18:58Speaker 1: we hope you were feeling better. I hope you can
- 19:00Speaker 1: reschedule that show with sending you our best. Let's end
- 19:03Speaker 1: with a moment of don't give bad stories bad news
- 19:10Speaker 1: the level of importance they should never have had. Let
- 19:15Speaker 1: me give you an example. Recently, a friend said something
- 19:18Speaker 1: to me that I didn't like. But it was one sentence,
- 19:20Speaker 1: and suddenly I gave this sentence so much importance that
- 19:24Speaker 1: that's all I could think about, and I almost fell
- 19:27Speaker 1: out with a friend who I've been friends with for years.
- 19:29Speaker 1: It's one sentence. Think about it. Yes it hurt my feelings,
- 19:33Speaker 1: but it wasn't as big as what I'm making it
- 19:36Speaker 1: out to be. Figure out are you giving somethink a
- 19:41Speaker 1: justified amount of attention or are you amplifying it? Often
- 19:46Speaker 1: I find, Garrett that the human mind can amplify the
- 19:50Speaker 1: mean and not the good. Instead of thinking of the
- 19:53Speaker 1: ten nice things this friend had done to me that day,
- 19:56Speaker 1: just that day, or the five really funny laugh so
- 20:00Speaker 1: it had just that day, I was remembering one sentence.
- 20:04Speaker 2: That's funny Yeah, it's funny how the negative has such
- 20:10Speaker 2: an easy trek to the front of our minds than
- 20:13Speaker 2: the positives. It's almost like you gotta work harder to
- 20:17Speaker 2: find the good things in life. It feels like it
- 20:18Speaker 2: should be the other way around, but it's not.
- 20:20Speaker 1: It's not human nature, and so be really careful about
- 20:24Speaker 1: doing that. Once again, don't give bad stories, bad news
- 20:28Speaker 1: the level of importance they should never have had. Hey,
- 20:32Speaker 1: that is it for today. Thank you so much for
