- 0:07Speaker 1: If you go on a first day but you get
- 0:08Speaker 1: ghosted and you want to know why, call us. Dustin
- 0:10Speaker 1: is on the line to tell us about a great
- 0:12Speaker 1: first day.
- 0:12Speaker 2: Good morning, Dustin, Hey, good morning.
- 0:14Speaker 3: How was it going guys?
- 0:15Speaker 1: Okay, it's going well. So you're getting ghosted. Tell us
- 0:20Speaker 1: about the first date you went on.
- 0:21Speaker 3: Yes, So I went on a date with Abby and
- 0:26Speaker 3: I thought we had a really great time. I took
- 0:28Speaker 3: her kayaking down the Farmington and it was a beautiful
- 0:31Speaker 3: day and I thought we had a great time. I
- 0:35Speaker 3: go kayaking all the time, and I just want to
- 0:37Speaker 3: show her a great time.
- 0:40Speaker 1: I just went paddle boarding down the Farmington myself. It
- 0:42Speaker 1: is like that would be the perfect date. Yeah, so
- 0:45Speaker 1: you're out there, beautiful weather, Farmington water was great, You're
- 0:49Speaker 1: doing your kayak thing. Okay, so you felt like she
- 0:54Speaker 1: was having a good time and you guys were connecting.
- 0:57Speaker 3: Yeah, I thought it was great. I mean that was
- 0:59Speaker 3: basically for the and then I texted her for a
- 1:01Speaker 3: second date and I have been completely ghosted.
- 1:05Speaker 2: A Dusty, my buddy you weren't like splashing her with
- 1:08Speaker 2: the water where you I know how women are when
- 1:11Speaker 2: when women are around water, they're a different creature.
- 1:15Speaker 3: Some No, No, we just we just had a nice
- 1:17Speaker 3: kayak all right.
- 1:18Speaker 2: Hmmm. I don't even know what it could be that. No,
- 1:20Speaker 2: I mean it sounds it sounds like it was a
- 1:22Speaker 2: great date. It sounds you know what it is.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Maybe I think it sounds like it's something different, out
- 1:29Speaker 1: of the ordinary. Yeah, maybe she's not used today. Did
- 1:33Speaker 1: she seem like an outdoorsy kind of girl.
- 1:35Speaker 3: I mean, she seemed down to go for go kayak
- 1:39Speaker 3: thing and then I think she had a good time. Okay,
- 1:42Speaker 3: but I know what's happening.
- 1:43Speaker 1: I mean, I do have a single girlfriend. I always
- 1:45Speaker 1: ask her, do you want to go kayaking or paddle boarding?
- 1:47Speaker 1: She's like, why would I do that? Yeah, but you
- 1:49Speaker 1: know what I mean, she's the type is not outdoorsy.
- 1:51Speaker 1: That's the only thing I can think of. This is
- 1:53Speaker 1: what we're gonna.
- 1:54Speaker 2: Do, Dustin.
- 1:54Speaker 1: We're gonna call up Abby and you're going to be
- 1:57Speaker 1: listening in and we're just gonna ask her why she's
- 1:59Speaker 1: ghosting you.
- 2:00Speaker 2: If you're ready to get the answers, We're ready to
- 2:02Speaker 2: call Abby.
- 2:03Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm ready. I'd love to find out and see
- 2:05Speaker 3: if there's a possibility for a second date.
- 2:06Speaker 2: Okay, hold on. That just sounds like such a unique
- 2:11Speaker 2: first date. Like yeah, no, I like that because I
- 2:14Speaker 2: feel like the worst dates are when it's white trash.
- 2:17Speaker 2: I mean, that's what Courtney and her friends do. Yef,
- 2:22Speaker 2: I am not white trash. Do not say that to me.
- 2:24Speaker 1: I am sorry, Abby, it is Courtney from Kiss in
- 2:28Speaker 1: the Morning.
- 2:28Speaker 2: Hey it's Walmart chef who just got yelled at. And
- 2:31Speaker 2: hey it's Savannah. No, Walmart called me white trash, So
- 2:34Speaker 2: I'm not gonna have that apologize.
- 2:36Speaker 1: I will turn your mic off and kick you off
- 2:38Speaker 1: all of this anyway, Abby, the reason we're calling, I
- 2:42Speaker 1: know it's kind of shocking to answer the phone and
- 2:44Speaker 1: we're fighting, but we have something that's called, hopefully you're
- 2:47Speaker 1: familiar with it, second date Update. You go on a
- 2:49Speaker 1: first date, you get ghosted, we get a phone call,
- 2:53Speaker 1: and we try to get answers.
- 2:55Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, you are.
- 2:58Speaker 1: On second date Update and I will just filll you obviously.
- 3:00Speaker 1: You know, we just want you to be honest. Dustin
- 3:03Speaker 1: called us. Dustin said he took you on a first
- 3:06Speaker 1: date kayaking, and that it was a beautiful day and
- 3:09Speaker 1: it was great weather, and he thought you had a
- 3:11Speaker 1: great time, and he's reached out to you for a
- 3:13Speaker 1: second day, but you are totally ghosting him.
- 3:16Speaker 4: That's true. No, I am ghosting him, Okay.
- 3:18Speaker 2: Oh okay, that was honest.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Honest, I respect that right up front. Why are you
- 3:22Speaker 1: ghosting him after this date?
- 3:24Speaker 4: Well, I mean it's kind of surprising to hear that
- 3:28Speaker 4: he thought it was great and beautiful and everything, because
- 3:32Speaker 4: I personally had the worst time, probably one of the
- 3:37Speaker 4: worst things I'd ever been on, to be honest. Oh wow, yeah,
- 3:41Speaker 4: we I mean he immediately wanted to go well, so
- 3:45Speaker 4: the date we wanted to go, well, he wanted to
- 3:47Speaker 4: go kayaking, okay, And I had told him I had
- 3:51Speaker 4: never done that before, okay, but he just like completely
- 3:54Speaker 4: disregarded that, like he just didn't hear it. And when
- 3:59Speaker 4: we got onto the water, he just took off like
- 4:03Speaker 4: he I don't I didn't know anybody could paddle that
- 4:06Speaker 4: fast on a boat before. But I was like, whoa, yeah,
- 4:11Speaker 4: he took off, and there I am like spinning in circles,
- 4:14Speaker 4: not knowing how to handle these little tattle things or whatever. Okay,
- 4:18Speaker 4: and I'm like fighting for my life out there and
- 4:21Speaker 4: he's gone.
- 4:22Speaker 3: That is oh my.
- 4:23Speaker 1: God, all right, he's on the line, Dustin. That is frightening.
- 4:26Speaker 1: She didn't even know how to kayak, and you just
- 4:28Speaker 1: kind of put her in the kayak and sent her
- 4:30Speaker 1: down the Farmington.
- 4:31Speaker 3: Dude, Abby, I'm so sorry. I did not realize that
- 4:35Speaker 3: you were so afraid, and I totally would have stayed
- 4:37Speaker 3: with you and tried to help you more. I didn't
- 4:39Speaker 3: even realize.
- 4:40Speaker 4: I mean, he didn't like turn around and say like, hey,
- 4:43Speaker 4: where is she?
- 4:47Speaker 3: I mean, I'm just used to like going down with
- 4:49Speaker 3: my buddies and we just kind of take off and
- 4:51Speaker 3: go and then meet up at the end. So I
- 4:54Speaker 3: guess that was my bad. I'm really sorry. I really
- 4:56Speaker 3: didn't mean to leave you behind like that, did you really?
- 5:00Speaker 2: He really?
- 5:00Speaker 1: Did you really have no idea that Abby was struggling
- 5:03Speaker 1: with her kayak and you had no idea?
- 5:05Speaker 2: Yeah, Like you didn't look back at all, like, hey,
- 5:06Speaker 2: I wonder where she's at.
- 5:08Speaker 3: I mean when I saw her, I thought she was okay.
- 5:11Speaker 3: She seemed she sees she was a little farther behind,
- 5:14Speaker 3: but I thought it was okay. So I guess I
- 5:17Speaker 3: just didn't know.
- 5:18Speaker 4: I was literally making my own little teacup ride, just
- 5:21Speaker 4: spinning in circles there panicking.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Oh no, I can picture it though, because I mean,
- 5:27Speaker 1: you know I can kayak now, but when you're first learning,
- 5:29Speaker 1: you're like which way to the do I paddle? And
- 5:31Speaker 1: how do I go straight? And I get it, it
- 5:33Speaker 1: can be frightening.
- 5:34Speaker 3: I'm sorry. That was really not my intention. I really
- 5:37Speaker 3: thought we were having a good time. I mean, could
- 5:39Speaker 3: I maybe take you for a second date to make
- 5:41Speaker 3: up for it?
- 5:44Speaker 4: I would do as a second on the land.
- 5:47Speaker 3: Yes.
- 5:47Speaker 4: I was just going to say, as long as it's
- 5:49Speaker 4: on land, both see it on the ground. No like
- 5:53Speaker 4: water or anything.
- 5:55Speaker 3: Yeah, no water, no boats. I mean that that would
- 5:58Speaker 3: be great.
- 5:59Speaker 2: Okay, all right, I like this.
- 6:01Speaker 1: You would have never known, you know what, you would
- 6:03Speaker 1: have never known, Dustin if you hadn't called us.
- 6:06Speaker 2: I'm glad you apologized.
- 6:08Speaker 1: I mean I do think that you just weren't aware
- 6:11Speaker 1: because typically men were just kind of into themselves and
- 6:16Speaker 1: getting the kayak and go.
- 6:17Speaker 2: I get it.
- 6:18Speaker 1: But now that you know that's what happened, I am
- 6:21Speaker 1: so glad you apologized. And you know what, Abby, I'm
- 6:23Speaker 1: so glad you accepted the apology.
- 6:26Speaker 4: I mean, this is a really cute way of doing it,
- 6:28Speaker 4: and so how could I say no?
- 6:29Speaker 2: Oh my gosh.
- 6:31Speaker 1: And you know what, the second this is what we're
- 6:33Speaker 1: gonna do. We're gonna pay for the date. You go
- 6:35Speaker 1: do whatever you want, maybe go to a nice dinner.
- 6:37Speaker 1: I don't know, and go mini golf. You can't lose
- 6:40Speaker 1: each other on the mini golf course. You know, you
- 6:42Speaker 1: could do something like that bowling That so fun. Yeah,
- 6:46Speaker 1: all right, listen, we're going to pick up the tab
- 6:48Speaker 1: as long as you keep us posted. One of you
- 6:50Speaker 1: has to call us after the second date.
- 6:52Speaker 2: Okay, will do
