- 0:00Speaker 1: We are going to get into what makes couples compatible. Compatible. Compatible.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Apparently, Cindy's got a revenge story. Last week, we were
- 0:07Speaker 2: talking about revenge. And apparently, Cindy, you have a revenge
- 0:11Speaker 2: story that's fantastic.
- 0:15Speaker 1: Cindy? Is Cindy on line one, Dylan? Oh, she's on
- 0:21Speaker 1: line two. Oops, my bad. Cindy?
- 0:25Speaker 3: Hello?
- 0:25Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 0:26Speaker 1: Sorry about that.
- 0:27Speaker 4: Nope, it's okay.
- 0:28Speaker 5: Yes, I do.
- 0:29Speaker 6: So I have a great revenge story. I was living
- 0:31Speaker 6: in Washington state and I was with my ex-boyfriend for
- 0:34Speaker 6: about two years and I found out that he had
- 0:37Speaker 6: cheated on me and all the bills were in my name.
- 0:41Speaker 6: So I called the electric, the phone, everything. I had
- 0:44Speaker 6: the bill shut off right then and there. He had
- 0:48Speaker 6: a home phone that he did his work from. Well,
- 0:51Speaker 6: I changed the password so he wasn't able to log
- 0:54Speaker 6: in to check any messages and get his work. And
- 0:58Speaker 6: I collect elephants, and he bought me a very expensive
- 1:01Speaker 6: elephant statue, and I broke it in pieces and left
- 1:04Speaker 6: it all over the floor.
- 1:05Speaker 3: Of the house.
- 1:06Speaker 4: Oh, my gosh.
- 1:07Speaker 1: You got him good.
- 1:08Speaker 5: Yeah, I did.
- 1:11Speaker 6: Yeah, he came home to everything turned off.
- 1:13Speaker 1: He was like, let's address the broken elephant in the room.
- 1:20Speaker 4: So you guys didn't get back together? Oh, God, no. No.
- 1:25Speaker 6: I moved out of his house, and I was gone.
- 1:27Speaker 1: How many elephants do you have?
- 1:29Speaker 6: I probably have over 300.
- 1:31Speaker 1: All sizes and stuff. Do you have any real elephants?
- 1:33Speaker 7: All sizes.
- 1:34Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:34Speaker 6: They're all like figurines and stuff.
- 1:36Speaker 1: Oh, no real ones.
- 1:38Speaker 4: I wish.
- 1:39Speaker 1: Do you have any, any stuffed animals of Horton from Horton?
- 1:42Speaker 1: Here's a hoop.
- 1:43Speaker 7: I do.
- 1:43Speaker 1: I figured that he's a great.
- 1:45Speaker 6: I have a woolly mammoth.
- 1:46Speaker 2: I have Horton.
- 1:47Speaker 6: I have a Dumbo.
- 1:48Speaker 2: I have it all.
- 1:50Speaker 4: All forms of elephant.
- 1:52Speaker 1: You have it all. And I mean, that's everything in life.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Those collections.
- 1:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Well, thank you.
- 1:58Speaker 6: Elephants are life for me.
- 1:59Speaker 1: They are.
- 1:59Speaker 6: Thank you.
- 2:00Speaker 4: You have a good day.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Have you been to the zoo and seen elephants? Or
- 2:02Speaker 2: have you been to safari? Is that a goal of
- 2:04Speaker 2: yours at all to do that?
- 2:07Speaker 6: So when I first moved to Tucson, I actually volunteered
- 2:09Speaker 6: at the zoo because they said that we would be
- 2:12Speaker 6: able to work with elephants.
- 2:15Speaker 7: But they lied.
- 2:15Speaker 6: All I was doing was picking up elephant poop so
- 2:17Speaker 6: that it would last too long.
- 2:18Speaker 4: That is working with elephants.
- 2:20Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 2:21Speaker 4: But you want to hang out with the elephants.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Not the zoo. Let me tell you something.
- 2:24Speaker 2: I think the Tucson Zoo is one of the best
- 2:27Speaker 2: zoos in the country, if not the best zoo.
- 2:29Speaker 1: It's all right there.
- 2:31Speaker 6: It is, especially whenever you have a kid who doesn't
- 2:35Speaker 6: pay attention a lot. It's small, so they don't get
- 2:37Speaker 6: bored easy.
- 2:38Speaker 1: That's why I like it. You see all the animals
- 2:40Speaker 1: in 10 minutes. Yeah, and they're right there.
- 2:42Speaker 4: Exactly.
- 2:43Speaker 1: It's great. Well, thank you, Cindy. Thanks for listening.
- 2:45Speaker 3: All right.
- 2:47Speaker 6: Thank you. Y'all have a good day.
- 2:48Speaker 2: Okay, so Payne's got this list on what makes couples compatible.
- 2:52Speaker 7: 877-937-1047.
- 2:53Speaker 2: We're going to go over this list. Also, what makes
- 2:58Speaker 2: you compatible? We're getting to it next after Dominic Fike.
- 3:00Speaker 8: All right, Peyton's got this list of what makes a
- 3:07Speaker 8: couple compatible. But first, Faith, before we get into the list, Faith,
- 3:12Speaker 8: you know what makes a couple compatible for you?
- 3:17Speaker 9: For me, it's the people that never post online how
- 3:20Speaker 9: happy they are.
- 3:21Speaker 4: Well, you know, Faith, I'm on your side with that.
- 3:24Speaker 4: Because I feel like the more you go on about
- 3:27Speaker 4: your sick other online, the more trouble you guys are in.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Is that your theory, Faith?
- 3:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:33Speaker 4: Yeah, basically.
- 3:34Speaker 9: Every time I see those people that are like, my partner.
- 3:36Speaker 3: Is so great.
- 3:37Speaker 9: He's so awesome. He's so great. And we're doing this
- 3:40Speaker 9: and we're doing that.
- 3:41Speaker 4: I'm like, you guys are so not happy.
- 3:43Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:43Speaker 4: I'm okay with the picture of the two of you
- 3:45Speaker 4: and like, happy birthday, Dan. That's it. Yeah, exactly. That's
- 3:49Speaker 4: all Dan needs.
- 3:49Speaker 10: Love you. Love you.
- 3:51Speaker 5: Happy birthday.
- 3:52Speaker 3: You're the best.
- 3:54Speaker 5: I wonder what the term is going to be for that. Because,
- 3:56Speaker 5: you know, when you're in a relationship and it's kind
- 3:58Speaker 5: of like that, it's called love bombing.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Yes.
- 4:00Speaker 5: So I wonder what it, like the social media version
- 4:02Speaker 5: of that term is.
- 4:02Speaker 4: Unnecessary relationship bragging.
- 4:06Speaker 1: It's kind of long, but I think we can workshop it. Well,
- 4:08Speaker 1: thank you, Faith. Peyton, is that on the list?
- 4:10Speaker 4: Not that exactly.
- 4:11Speaker 7: This is things that what actually makes a couple compatible.
- 4:15Speaker 7: So a relationship expert, she was talking about how like
- 4:18Speaker 7: the strongest couples aren't necessarily the couples who never fight.
- 4:22Speaker 7: So I think she has a point there because if
- 4:24Speaker 7: you're posting on social media, you're probably trying to distract
- 4:27Speaker 7: and disguise and, you know, play people for a fool
- 4:31Speaker 7: for what your relationship truly is versus being actually vulnerable.
- 4:35Speaker 1: Good.
- 4:36Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 4:37Speaker 11: Okay.
- 4:37Speaker 1: So what is one on the list?
- 4:40Speaker 7: If you can take feedback from your partner, then that
- 4:42Speaker 7: means that you're probably compatible with them. If you don't
- 4:45Speaker 7: go into defense mode and gain your feelings that they're
- 4:48Speaker 7: attacking you, if you can just take it to the
- 4:50Speaker 7: chest and be ready to move on.
- 4:52Speaker 4: Isn't it how you deliver the feedback, though, too?
- 4:54Speaker 5: Yeah, which I think speaks to compatibility because you have
- 4:58Speaker 5: to know your partner and know how to approach them
- 5:01Speaker 5: if you're going to bring them some sort of feedback like,
- 5:04Speaker 5: You know, Rich, Stacey could come to you and say
- 5:06Speaker 5: something like, you know, I don't really like the music
- 5:08Speaker 5: that you're making.
- 5:09Speaker 4: Right?
- 5:09Speaker 5: And that would hurt. But if Stacey knows you really well,
- 5:12Speaker 5: she could be like, I think your talents would be
- 5:14Speaker 5: useful elsewhere.
- 5:15Speaker 4: It may be a different style of music or something.
- 5:18Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
- 5:19Speaker 4: I think your talents would be more useful if you
- 5:21Speaker 4: sold all your guitars.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Christina, what makes a couple compatible?
- 5:27Speaker 10: First, I agree with Faith, but what I think is
- 5:31Speaker 10: speaking about.
- 5:32Speaker 11: That other person in rooms that other person is not in.
- 5:37Speaker 4: Oh, so when you talk..
- 5:39Speaker 7: How they speak about that person.
- 5:40Speaker 4: You talk nice about them when they're not around.
- 5:43Speaker 7: Yeah, you don't go behind their back and, you know,
- 5:46Speaker 7: you're talking crap or disrespecting them.
- 5:49Speaker 11: You always have that.
- 5:50Speaker 1: Respect for them. So you can go behind their back,
- 5:53Speaker 1: you just have to say nice things.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:56Speaker 7: Okay.
- 5:59Speaker 3: No, I'm with you.
- 6:01Speaker 7: How your partner speaks about you when you are not
- 6:03Speaker 7: around says everything. And that definitely falls in line with
- 6:06Speaker 7: they know how to set boundaries. Healthy boundaries, how you
- 6:09Speaker 7: speak about your partner is a big one.
- 6:11Speaker 4: Everybody in this room, I feel like, does that too.
- 6:15Speaker 4: I see them building up their partner in here.
- 6:17Speaker 1: Terrence, you're on the air. What do you think about
- 6:18Speaker 1: compatibility in couples?
- 6:20Speaker 10: So one of the big things, me and my wife
- 6:22Speaker 10: go out to dinner or any kind of event, we
- 6:24Speaker 10: always see couples sitting at a table by themselves, and
- 6:27Speaker 10: they're both on the phones with each other. So we
- 6:29Speaker 10: see couples engaging with each other just when we know
- 6:31Speaker 10: they're compatible.
- 6:33Speaker 2: But you also don't know what's going on at that
- 6:35Speaker 2: very second. Hey, what time does the movie start? I'll
- 6:37Speaker 2: check this theater, you check that theater.
- 6:39Speaker 1: And you just have to see them.
- 6:41Speaker 10: This goes on for a long period of time. We
- 6:43Speaker 10: can be there for an hour and they'll be on
- 6:44Speaker 10: the phones for the entire hour.
- 6:46Speaker 5: You're like, why are you even there together?
- 6:48Speaker 4: And Terrence, I think you brought up something. When you're
- 6:51Speaker 4: with somebody that you're compatible with, what you do is
- 6:54Speaker 4: you watch other couples and you start breaking down what
- 6:56Speaker 4: they're doing together. So you're like almost being like secret
- 6:58Speaker 4: spies together. I think that's a fun couple thing.
- 7:00Speaker 1: I love watching other couples. Me too.
- 7:02Speaker 2: I was eating dinner and I was watching. my wife
- 7:04Speaker 2: and I were watching another couple on their phones. And
- 7:07Speaker 2: what was funny is the woman was taking pictures of
- 7:09Speaker 2: her food and the husband was taking pictures of her
- 7:12Speaker 2: taking pictures.
- 7:12Speaker 1: Of her food.
- 7:13Speaker 4: That's funny.
- 7:15Speaker 1: Thanks, Terrence. What else on that list, Peyton?
- 7:18Speaker 7: They actually say what they need. Like if they aren't,
- 7:22Speaker 7: they're not, we're not mind readers out here, right? So
- 7:24Speaker 7: if you go to your partner and you say, Hey,
- 7:25Speaker 7: I need some more affection and some reassurance. And your
- 7:28Speaker 7: partner actually takes that and understands and makes the steps
- 7:31Speaker 7: that To change that, you're probably pretty compatible.
- 7:36Speaker 1: Cecilia?
- 7:36Speaker 9: Good morning.
- 7:39Speaker 1: What makes a couple compatible?
- 7:43Speaker 9: I think that what makes a couple the most compatible,
- 7:46Speaker 9: in my opinion, is the fact that you guys can
- 7:49Speaker 9: never find things to... We'll never find things to run
- 7:55Speaker 9: out of, like, topics. Like, you don't... The, um... Laughter
- 8:00Speaker 9: is always there. You guys have, you know, never run
- 8:03Speaker 9: out of things to talk about.
- 8:04Speaker 2: There you go.
- 8:04Speaker 1: All right. Well, thank you, Justine. What about you? What
- 8:07Speaker 1: makes couples compatible?
- 8:11Speaker 11: Could you say Justine?
- 8:12Speaker 1: I sure did. Hello.
- 8:14Speaker 7: Hi.
- 8:15Speaker 11: I think this is totally off base of what everybody
- 8:18Speaker 11: else is saying, but I found out that me and
- 8:20Speaker 11: my husband were compatible when we both hated camping.
- 8:24Speaker 4: So you have disdain for the outdoors together.
- 8:27Speaker 2: I'm not against that.
- 8:29Speaker 11: You spend a lot of money to live homeless.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Were you camping when you both discovered this? Were you together?
- 8:36Speaker 10: No.
- 8:36Speaker 11: No, we just both decided, and I was like, I
- 8:38Speaker 11: hate camping. I just want to put it out there,
- 8:40Speaker 11: and I'll never go camping. And he's like, me too.
- 8:42Speaker 11: And I was like, perfect.
- 8:43Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, a nice hotel. That's nice.
- 8:45Speaker 1: Do you guys have kids? Exactly.
- 8:46Speaker 11: Exactly.
- 8:47Speaker 5: We do.
- 8:48Speaker 11: We have six between the two of us, but camping
- 8:50Speaker 11: for us is like staying anything under a four-star hotel.
- 8:53Speaker 2: Is anything, any of your kids Boy Scouts? Because that's
- 8:56Speaker 2: a big part of camping.
- 8:58Speaker 1: No, definitely not.
- 8:59Speaker 7: She's like, and I would not put.
- 9:01Speaker 4: Them in there if there was a choice.
- 9:04Speaker 11: And I didn't even think that was going to hold
- 9:06Speaker 11: the note with you guys, but I had some cocktails
- 9:08Speaker 11: and I was drinking and I was like, well, obviously
- 9:10Speaker 11: it's that. No camping and having separate bank accounts.
- 9:13Speaker 4: Wait a minute. You're having cocktails right now?
- 9:16Speaker 11: No, I was at the gym. I didn't think you
- 9:18Speaker 11: guys were going to call. So I'm kind of breathless
- 9:19Speaker 11: because I was on the treadmill. So I was like,
- 9:21Speaker 11: here I am.
- 9:22Speaker 1: All right. Thanks, Justine. Thank you. Yep. Melissa, good morning.
- 9:28Speaker 4: Good morning.
- 9:29Speaker 1: What makes couples compatible?
- 9:32Speaker 6: I think for my husband and I, anyways, it's opposites attract.
- 9:36Speaker 6: He's very chill and I'm not so chill. Maybe sometimes.
- 9:42Speaker 9: He's very relaxed and calm.
- 9:45Speaker 1: All right, thank you, Melissa. So what's all that?
- 9:46Speaker 4: I'm like, I've got that 100%. Type A, type B?
- 9:49Speaker 7: The yin and the yang.
- 9:51Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 9:51Speaker 1: Have you hit this whole list already?
- 9:53Speaker 7: Yeah, I mean, and everyone that had called in, I
- 9:56Speaker 7: feel like has definitely hit on this list. They're willing
- 9:58Speaker 7: to be vulnerable. If you know how to set boundaries
- 10:01Speaker 7: with your partner and kind of put your foot down,
- 10:03Speaker 7: then you're probably pretty compatible with your person.
- 10:05Speaker 1: Okay. So if you go over them all real quick.
- 10:07Speaker 7: They can take feedback. They actually say what they need.
- 10:12Speaker 7: They're willing to be vulnerable and they know how to
- 10:14Speaker 7: set boundaries.
- 10:15Speaker 4: Okay. Those are serious.
- 10:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 10:17Speaker 7: And this is from a relationship expert.
- 10:20Speaker 1: So, you know, does it say the person's name? Who's
- 10:22Speaker 1: the election?
- 10:23Speaker 7: It doesn't say the person's name. It just says I
- 10:26Speaker 7: am relationship.
- 10:27Speaker 1: You have to remain anonymous.
- 10:28Speaker 4: You know, one of the things I think works is
- 10:30Speaker 4: like if there's a serious situation and you can make
- 10:33Speaker 4: the other person laugh, that's good. Oh, yeah, for sure.
- 10:36Speaker 4: Break the break the tension with a funny joke.
- 10:39Speaker 7: Also, too, I know we had talked earlier, like, if
- 10:42Speaker 7: you can just keep a conversation going and always have
- 10:44Speaker 7: laughter and fun. For me, I feel like if I
- 10:46Speaker 7: can just be quiet and be in nothingness with you
- 10:49Speaker 7: and not feel awkward or weird or pressure. That's a
- 10:52Speaker 7: good one.
- 10:53Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 10:53Speaker 7: I feel like if you can just be.
- 10:55Speaker 5: Because it's just complete.
- 10:56Speaker 1: Comfort that way. Hold on. Denise says something. Hey, Denise.
- 11:02Speaker 1: What makes a couple compatible? Denise?
- 11:07Speaker 11: Denise?
- 11:08Speaker 1: Oh, sorry.
- 11:10Speaker 3: So my biggest thing I'm going to say is the
- 11:13Speaker 3: same sense of humor. I think that makes a couple
- 11:17Speaker 3: so compatible because if you have super like dry, dark
- 11:21Speaker 3: humor and the other one has a very like light humor,
- 11:25Speaker 3: it's not going to work out because you're going to
- 11:27Speaker 3: throw jokes at them and it's not going to land.
- 11:30Speaker 3: And it's just going to be a fight after fight.
- 11:31Speaker 3: But you need to be able to like mess around
- 11:34Speaker 3: with each other, joke with each other, kind of like–
- 11:37Speaker 3: be on the same lane with each other. Cause then it's,
- 11:41Speaker 3: it's just not going to work. Like imagine someone that's
- 11:43Speaker 3: just like, Oh my God, you're going to wear that.
- 11:45Speaker 3: And then they just like, Oh my God, which one
- 11:47Speaker 3: is what I'm wearing? Like you need to be able
- 11:50Speaker 3: to take the joke. Like, you know, like I was
- 11:53Speaker 3: just kidding. Like if they don't get the joke and
- 11:55Speaker 3: they don't get your sense of humor, I don't think
- 11:57Speaker 3: it's going to work.
- 11:58Speaker 4: Yeah, I agree.
- 11:59Speaker 1: Well, there's an evolution to that, I think.
- 12:01Speaker 4: Yeah, you've got to kind of train them to take
- 12:03Speaker 4: the darkness.
- 12:03Speaker 1: Train them.
- 12:04Speaker 7: I think, though, what Denise is saying is find your
- 12:06Speaker 7: person who is already there so you don't even have.
- 12:09Speaker 4: To worry about that. Sometimes, though, you find a nice
- 12:12Speaker 4: one and get them to laugh at the darker stuff
- 12:14Speaker 4: along the way.
- 12:14Speaker 5: People are adaptable, but you need someone to be open to.
- 12:18Speaker 1: That, too. Hey, on TV tonight, our guy Gino, right?
- 12:23Speaker 1: How do you say his name? Ariyama? No, no, no.
- 12:26Speaker 1: Gino from America.
- 12:27Speaker 4: Oh, pleasure.
- 12:28Speaker 2: Gino Plager is performing on America's Got Talent tonight.
- 12:32Speaker 1: And he's from here. We want him to win. The magician.
- 12:35Speaker 4: He's amazing.
- 12:36Speaker 1: So we're going to post on.
- 12:37Speaker 2: Our Instagram the numbers to vote for him because we
- 12:40Speaker 2: want him to win. So if you're watching America's Got
- 12:42Speaker 2: Talent tonight, look for him. He's from Phoenix, and he's
- 12:45Speaker 2: a superstar, this kid.
- 12:47Speaker 1: Superstar. So Gino Plager. We'll post it up on John
- 12:52Speaker 1: Jay and Rich, right?
- 12:52Speaker 2: We'll post up all the numbers so you can vote
- 12:55Speaker 2: for him.
