  are going to be taking a look back at the Millie McKenzie

  benefit show which was Bridge Pro and Spinebuster media

  combining for a special crossover show entitled Holiday

  Havoc. So before we get to that, tis

  the season of Christmas, a season that I personally hate.

  I am not a Grinch, I just don't particularly like this time of
• 1:08
  year. But saying that, I have gifted
• 1:12
  you many gifts this week, as if you haven't heard already, I did
• 1:21
  a special Lancashire double that was looking back at both the
• 1:30
  Chorley Show which was for Lancashire Wrestling Federation.
• 1:36
  That was the fight made before Christmas.
• 1:39
  We also then headed to Morecambe for Odyssey Pro Wrestling OPW
• 1:48
  and over the last couple of days we've had further shows
• 1:53
  featuring that of Eve, Let's Slam Santa.
• 1:59
  What else have we had? Atomic at Liverpool for Nuclear
• 2:05
  Winter Free. We also had Future Shock, which
• 2:10
  I'm not repeating the name of that show because I hate it.
• 2:14
  And also we had the last episode I believe if it's in order and
• 2:21
  that was of Catch and their show.
• 2:27
  We don't promote chaos, we deserve it.

  A strong set of shows, if you've been to them or a couple of
• 2:41
  them, very entertaining shows throughout.

  So if you are at a loose end and need to kill a couple of hours,

  last Friday night at the Amble Co Legion Club.

  As I say, Bridge Pro and Spinebuster Media coming

  together to help out Miller McKenzie, who if you do not know
• 3:28
  what's what's been going on, The news broke from Millie herself,
• 3:35
  who has been battling a liver disease her whole life.
• 3:42
  It hasn't really affected her too much in ring she's for all
• 3:49
  over the world. However, she release the news
• 3:58
  that her condition is or has been deteriorating, so much so
• 4:06
  that she now needs a liver transplant.
• 4:10
  So because of that it has seen Millie having to step away from
• 4:15
  in ring action for the immediate future.
• 4:19
  Hopefully not very not long term such would.
• 4:26
  So in the meantime it has seen the whole of the wrestling
• 4:33
  community, not just here in the UK but all over the world have
• 4:38
  been helping to raise money and funds for Mackenzie.
• 4:45
  And originally the total they were hoping to raise was 13,000
• 4:53
  and as of today, which is Christmas Eve, don't you know,
• 4:59
  we are looking at 13,155. So they well and truly over took
• 5:12
  the 13,000 mark and are now looking to just push on and
• 5:19
  increase or get as much as they can for her.
• 5:23
  Millie who I I have a real kind of soft spot for familiar.
• 5:33
  When I first started going to shows was around 2023.
• 5:40
  So before I kind of went to all the shows I've done and
• 5:45
  podcasted, I would pretty much just watch kind of like American
• 5:51
  shows, mainly because I had a great deal of anxiety.
• 5:58
  I still have anxiety, though. A lot of people don't
• 6:03
  particularly see that. Plus I had like a lot of
• 6:09
  depression. So going out was very not, not
• 6:16
  on my bingo card or whatever the particular phrases, but I did
• 6:24
  the all in weekend back in 2023, took in a couple of shows while
• 6:30
  in London, which was bloody brave by me, has to be said
• 6:33
  looking back now. And then a couple days later
• 6:38
  there was a show in Manchester at the Bread Shed, which as we
• 6:44
  spoke about yesterday, is sadly now not going to become a
• 6:49
  wrestling venue from this point onwards, which is a a shame.
• 6:56
  I took in a modern nomad show, which for those that don't know
• 7:03
  is a very comedic, like a variety show.
• 7:10
  Innocence, if you have been to a future Shock Hangover show and
• 7:16
  where it's themed and it's just very much like fun based but
• 7:21
  with wrestling, that's kind of that was the vibe effectively
• 7:26
  modern Nomads, but it was always themed in some sense.
• 7:33
  So that particular show was a Choco Pro 1 and I went into this
• 7:42
  quite nervous, didn't know anyone in on the wrestling scene
• 7:47
  at all. And come the end of the night,
• 7:51
  there were a couple people that I really kind of got my interest
• 7:56
  and really like, oh, they're really good.
• 8:01
  And I'd love to see more of them.
• 8:04
  And one of them was Melanie McKenzie, who from memory took
• 8:10
  on, oh, I've completely forgot his name.
• 8:21
  So it was LJ Cleary, which I should have known.
• 8:27
  And they had a fun little contest that went into the
• 8:31
  crowd. So we had all kind of the fun
• 8:35
  comedic things, but come the end of the evening and everyone kind
• 8:42
  of just stood around trying to get autographs and pictures and
• 8:47
  just just literally catching up with good friends that go to all
• 8:52
  these shows. I saw Melanie McKenzie and
• 8:58
  wanted to kind of get a photo, but again, I was so nervous.
• 9:05
  Just like going up to a wrestler again.
• 9:09
  From where I am there to now is like light years away.
• 9:15
  However, I'd asked Millie for a photo.
• 9:19
  Felt so kind of awkward and as I say, shy doing it, but Millie
• 9:26
  kind of. Anyone that's met Millie will
• 9:28
  know. She's just the absolutely
• 9:30
  loveliest human being. Had a photo with.
• 9:37
  Had a very quick chat because I think she was just about to tour
• 9:42
  Japan shortly after. So he kind of had a very quick
• 9:47
  interaction, but I was so nervous and I sounded like a
• 9:51
  complete idiot, which I still do now.
• 9:55
  So while some things change, that doesn't Anyway, moving kind
• 10:03
  of moving forward through the the past couple of years, every
• 10:07
  time Millie's been on a show, I've always kind of had a little
• 10:13
  chat with her and we've always had like a little fun
• 10:16
  interaction, especially at bridge.
• 10:21
  We've always kind of chatted a bit more because I know friends
• 10:28
  that seem to be a bit more chatty with her.
• 10:29
  So I've kind of spoke more with Millie and of course, when this
• 10:34
  news got released by Millie, I wanted to kind of help is as
• 10:43
  well, in the very smallest part at least.
• 10:48
  So buying one of the T-shirts and going to support the show,
• 10:54
  which I was going to anyway, but because of what they were doing,
• 11:00
  it made me want to support the show even more.
• 11:05
  So that's, that's effectively kind of the the background with
• 11:13
  Millie that I have, which I mean, isn't massive, but for on
• 11:19
  a personal level, the way she was when I kind of first met her
• 11:26
  and asked for autograph, I'd always stuck with me and is why
• 11:32
  I've always been such a massive fan of Millie.
• 11:38
  I've I've normally put that quite a few times when people
• 11:42
  bring her up and ask what she's like.
• 11:46
  She honestly is one of the the nicest kindest people you will
• 11:51
  ever meet and also one of the the funniest as well when she
• 11:58
  brings out the humour. But that said, this show,
• 12:07
  Holiday Havoc was in two parts. So the first half was
• 12:15
  Spinebuster Media's kind of section of the show and the
• 12:21
  second-half belong to Bridge Pro.
• 12:24
  So you had a nice little balance.
• 12:28
  So if we move to the first half and the opening contest was a
• 12:36
  freeway match between Leon Cage, Franco Fate and Jack Sellstrom,
• 12:44
  this was for one of the medallions.
• 12:49
  So if you're a fan of spinebuster media, then you will
• 12:55
  know that they don't particularly have titles.
• 13:02
  One of the unique features they have is medallions, so it's, I
• 13:12
  can't remember what the actual I think ones like within a certain
• 13:16
  time limit. 1 is if it's a multi person match and then there's
• 13:24
  kind of like a third medallion where if you collect all three
• 13:30
  you get yourself a ticket stamped to a title match against
• 13:35
  whoever the champion is at that time.
• 13:38
  I think I've explained that as well as possible, which is not
• 13:44
  normally my style, but this match the right.
• 13:53
  I'll do the negative bit first. The first few minutes or so it
• 14:04
  saw a bit kind of sloppy mistimed things happening, but
• 14:14
  in fairness, all three very quickly kind of what ironed out
• 14:18
  the little kinks and little problems they had early on.
• 14:25
  And then it just it advanced into a really fun opening
• 14:30
  contest. Franco Fate and Jack Sellstrom I
• 14:35
  have not seen before, though I do get this sense I have seen
• 14:42
  Fate somewhere where I do not know, but he looks very familiar
• 14:50
  and it could easily be. I've seen him just hanging
• 14:54
  around in the crowd at a certain show and that's why it's in my
• 14:58
  head. But this was an interesting
• 15:03
  dynamic because you had Leon Cage, who risk taker high flyer
• 15:09
  quicker than a hiccup, Franco Fate, who was very much the
• 15:14
  powerhouse in this contest, and Jack Sellstrom, who was again, a
• 15:25
  almost a hybrid because he was he was tough as well, but he
• 15:30
  seemed a bit more technical. So you had an interesting
• 15:35
  dynamic with these three where we at one point had Cage going
• 15:44
  to chop Fate effectively on my lap or next to my friend Lorna's
• 15:49
  lap, which Cage went to chop him, told us to like hold Fate.
• 15:59
  Then Cellstrom came from nowhere St Leon flying for a few seconds
• 16:05
  and then proceeded to just smack as hard as it got the chest of
• 16:11
  Fate with my friend Lana uttering the words It's very
• 16:19
  nice to meet you by the way, which I might play that little
• 16:25
  clip just because it was so funny.
• 16:31
  Then it seemed to have them going all around the the
• 16:35
  Amblecote Social Club. Oh, sorry, Legion club.
• 16:42
  Fate seemed to just be the actual powerhouse and just well,
• 16:49
  just using his power effectively overpowering everyone.
• 16:54
  Cage looked in a bit of discomfort.
• 16:58
  Cellstrom was almost equal to fate because they seem to be
• 17:04
  very much the the meat of the two meat guys in this ring in
• 17:10
  this match even but can get me words right.
• 17:14
  I saw the kind of like chopped each other back and forth.
• 17:18
  Cage would always kind of pop up with a high risk offence.
• 17:23
  Cage would win this match reversing an attempted pile
• 17:28
  driver I believe, kind of running down the back our fate,
• 17:35
  rolling him up for the one 2-3. Yeah, really entertaining
• 17:41
  opening match. So Cage takes home the medallion
• 17:49
  crowd. Took a while on this show to
• 17:52
  kind of find their voice, but it can't take any way anything away
• 17:59
  from this match at all. It was a really fun opener and I
• 18:04
  look forward to seeing it back when Spinebuster will post the
• 18:09
  show. Match #2 saw Kanji taking on
• 18:15
  Omari Kanji, who is definitely one of the top, and there's a
• 18:24
  rising stars, especially in the women's division.
• 18:31
  She's always kind of bubbled and kind of ebbed and flowed in the
• 18:37
  echelons, if you like, of British wrestling.
• 18:42
  But in recent times, her match against Mercedes Monet at high
• 18:47
  Stakes, I believe, I think that was in Doncaster.
• 18:54
  I might have been Coventry. It was on a Rev Pro show.
• 19:00
  But her performances have gained her a really kind of critical
• 19:09
  acclaim, I suppose is one word, to put it what, a couple of
• 19:12
  words? That's 2 words.
• 19:16
  Monet is a massive fan of Kanji and her stocks just seems to be
• 19:22
  rising more and more. Omari we've seen a couple of
• 19:28
  Times Now at Bridge. Great to watch in the ring Tall.
• 19:38
  I mean there are more qualities than that, but he is he is
• 19:46
  someone that is enjoyable to watch in matches.
• 19:50
  His match with Miller McKenzie and Charles Crowley for the I
• 19:56
  think it was for the Ricks title when Crowley held the French
• 20:01
  Championship. The match that him and Omari put
• 20:05
  on that bridge was hilarious but equally really good wrestling.
• 20:15
  But this match itself was. Same as the match we'll come to
• 20:21
  a bit later on, the main event of the first half, it was very
• 20:27
  much mutual respect, which suddenly saw this break off into
• 20:33
  being very competitive. Omari obviously having the
• 20:40
  height advantage over kanji, Kanji not being put off by the
• 20:48
  height and being a bit of an underdog in this contest had
• 20:55
  some really interesting offence. Omari, as I say, taller than
• 21:02
  kanji. So Kanji using wrestling smarts
• 21:08
  and something that I have spoke about, I think it was on catch
• 21:12
  yesterday with Kevin Lloyd and Big T.
• 21:17
  When you have a smaller opponent against a taller 1, the the best
• 21:24
  way to do it is try and chop them down and going for the legs
• 21:31
  to kind of bring them down to your level is something that I
• 21:36
  really enjoy with wrestling when it makes a bit more sense.
• 21:42
  Kanji did this to Omari quite often just to kind of make it a
• 21:48
  bit more even if you can kind of say that match went back and
• 21:54
  forth. Omari and Kanji hitting German
• 21:58
  suplexes. Kanji getting a lot of offence
• 22:02
  in the crowd is very split for this contest though.
• 22:10
  It started off with Kanji being the favourite and then everyone
• 22:14
  seemed to side with Omari because no one was cheering
• 22:18
  originally, and then they seem to go back to Kanji, back to
• 22:23
  Omari and then it just splintered into different little
• 22:27
  sections. Kanji would take this match
• 22:33
  after putting Omari in a almost like a octopus hold and then
• 22:40
  pulling the arms closer together, which the only time
• 22:45
  I've seen this move used was Ethan Allen Maxstead back at
• 22:53
  Progress a few months ago and it looks absolutely horrible.

  Looking at it is nasty, but it just looks horrible when it's
• 23:05
  being put on. And I mean horrible in a good
• 23:09
  way. It just looks the most painful
• 23:13
  move you could take. Unsurprisingly, Omari taps quite
• 23:19
  quickly when it's cranked on. Kanji is your winner and then we
• 23:27
  had a show of respect between the two which was fun to see.

  Match #3 saw a five way match for another medallion.
• 23:43
  This featured Melissa Fears up the north, a Lunar who I'll get
• 23:52
  to in a wee bit, Chantelle Jordan, who is very much known
• 23:56
  to the Bridge Pro crowd, Claudia Bradstone, who was very much the
• 24:02
  biggest heel in this contest, and Duchess Sophia, who, as we
• 24:12
  very quickly found out, has a rivalry with Claudia Bradstone.
• 24:20
  I will say this before we kind of move on, I used to watch
• 24:25
  Spinebuster and then just did not have the time to watch every
• 24:32
  show. So I am a bit out of the loop of
• 24:36
  things that have going on but Bradstone is she looks an
• 24:45
  absolute * Out of all these the ones that kind of stick out
• 24:54
  straight away in terms of presence at least one is
• 24:59
  Bradstone who just looks evil personified and Melissa Fears
• 25:07
  who obviously with the red hair and just how she looks them to
• 25:14
  look like stars. That will only get better as the
• 25:20
  years go by. A Luna I have not seen before
• 25:27
  but I believe she has worked with Lucia Lee and you can see a
• 25:35
  bit of Lucia in a Luna which is not a bad thing at all and I was
• 25:43
  I was really impressed with a Lunar in this match when we saw
• 25:48
  her doing some offence. The Duchess, I think I've seen
• 25:57
  brief snippets, but this is the first time actually watching
• 26:03
  her. And again, all all five women in
• 26:08
  this match played their part brilliantly for what they were
• 26:15
  trying to accomplish. So when the bell rang, we had
• 26:22
  Bradstone and the Duchess effectively just going straight
• 26:27
  at it like a hockey fight, while you had Fierce Aluna and Chantal
• 26:33
  Jordan just watching on, just thinking what on earth is going
• 26:38
  on here? Should we wrestle or should we
• 26:41
  just watch him as Brad Stone and the Dutchess just fought in the
• 26:47
  ring, out the ring. And then the three left in the
• 26:52
  ring decided to take it upon themselves to, you know, we're
• 26:57
  here, we might as well have this match.

  All three got offence in Bradstone and the Duchess would
• 27:06
  come back into this contest. Everyone got some sort of
• 27:13
  offence on in this match again. I was really impressed with
• 27:20
  Aluna. Out of the whole 5, Aluna and
• 27:30
  Bradstone were the two that really kind of top my eye.
• 27:36
  We didn't really see a lot of Duchess Sophia, if truth be
• 27:42
  told, because I, I feel Spinebuster have a rivalry set
• 27:48
  with, as I say, Bradstone and the Duchess.
• 27:53
  So I think that's where they're going to go with that as they
• 27:57
  pretty much just fall all over the venue.

  Meanwhile, in the ring, it was really effectively a freeway
• 28:06
  match with Fierce Aluna Jordan. Fierce would win the match,
• 28:13
  hitting Chantal Jordan with a kind of getting Jordan up on her
• 28:19
  shoulders and bringing her down, almost like a Michinoku driver,
• 28:29
  but just slightly modified. It's one way to put it.
• 28:35
  So Jordan won the medallion, while post match Fierce just
• 28:41
  watches both Bradstone and the Duchess fighting all the way
• 28:46
  back up the stairs, onto the stage and through the curtain.
• 28:53
  So again, anything that happened in that match I feel will make
• 28:59
  more sense if you watch the product.

  But even if you don't, you've got a hell out, a hell of a
• 29:07
  match out of it. So the main event of Part 1
• 29:16
  featured J Joshua going up against the leader of the pack
• 29:22
  in Rio. Easily two of the top stars
• 29:28
  right now in the UK for different reasons.

  Rio is just being on a fair bit of a tear, be it Europe or over
• 29:42
  the pond. Joshua is starting to come more
• 29:47
  into his own and saw both of these competitors having free
• 29:53
  titles each, Which kind of tells you where these two are right
• 29:58
  now. So Joshua saw him holding the
• 30:05
  Pro Wrestling Chaos title. I probably got that wrong.
• 30:11
  Also the New Wave Academy belt and the Rev Pro Undisputed
• 30:21
  title, while Rio holds the ICW Heavyweight title, the 4th Rope
• 30:31
  title which is over in America, and also the Pro Wrestling Eve
• 30:38
  belt. And the referee had the
• 30:44
  unfortunate job of trying to decide how to raise all six
• 30:49
  belts was had more gold than Mercedes Monet or to give it the
• 30:57
  Northwest treatment. Scott Oberman.

  Where do we go with this match it I have put this on the board
• 31:10
  of matches of the year because we were treated to this contest.

  This again, much like the kanji Omari, it's all very much mutual
• 31:27
  respect between both. Very quickly became competitive
• 31:34
  just due to their nature and then we just went all out
• 31:43
  assault between the two. Rio who does not truly give a
• 31:51
  shit who is who her opponent is. Whoever it's someone that's
• 31:59
  massive, someone that's short, whether they're a world champion
• 32:04
  or not, she does not care. Same could be applied to Joshua.
• 32:12
  Joshua is just an absolute beast but it's so quick as well.

  It's scary as he's match with Will Cruise at Progress in
• 32:28
  Manchester a couple of months shown they he is just a star in
• 32:34
  the making. Even with the title now, he's
• 32:39
  kind of career hasn't even got going yet in fairness.

  But this match was hard hitting, brutal.
• 32:54
  The power on display from both was incredible.

  Joshua Wine trying to taunt Rio with Mercedes Monet's CEO dance

  a fair few times. He done this the second time
• 33:15
  actually in front of Rio, just to kind of wind her up more.

  They fought on the ring apron. They I'm really not doing this
• 33:30
  much any justice at all at how good it was.
• 33:34
  There are clips online that have shown what's happened, but you
• 33:40
  really need to check this out when it becomes available
• 33:46
  because it is easily up there for match of the Year, so I'll
• 33:53
  leave that there. The finish though, so J Joshua
• 33:58
  hitting a crushing lariat on Rio, following it up with a
• 34:05
  cradle pile driver to take the pin.

  An incredible match. Those that were there were
• 34:13
  treated to something special. When it's uploaded, you will see
• 34:19
  exactly what we mean. It's it's one of the best
• 34:22
  matches I've seen this year. So credit to Spinebuster for
• 34:31
  putting on banging matches. And then we headed to a little
• 34:38
  interval and let us all breathe after what we had just saw.

  The second-half saw Bridge Pro taking over and we began with a
• 34:57
  six person tag match as the cheeky little buggers in Alexis
• 35:03
  Falcon and Charles Crowley saw them being joined by the admired
• 35:10
  Joe Blazer as they took on the team of Simon Miller and 0 to
• 35:17
  heroes in the Speed Demon, Edgar Adams and the Skywalker in Nate
• 35:24
  Riley. This was, you know, this was a
• 35:33
  good little match. I don't know how long it went on
• 35:36
  for. It didn't seem it went too long,
• 35:41
  but it was really kind of the character.
• 35:51
  It was really a match. It felt for like Falcon and
• 35:54
  Crowley to just make him look even more ridiculous and equally
• 36:02
  funny but sinister at the same time.
• 36:06
  Alexis shouting to Simon how his balls are, having had a match
• 36:11
  against Miller a few months ago where she low blown Simon about
• 36:16
  four times. So those those things he calls
• 36:22
  balls must surely be healed now. But it was a fun little match
• 36:28
  that this was an interesting one because you had Falcon and
• 36:36
  Crowley who were winding up Miller.
• 36:40
  Blazer seem to be trying to wind up Miller.
• 36:43
  And the two that felt almost lost in this contest were Adams
• 36:50
  and Riley. I mean the match itself, they
• 36:55
  were equal to anyone in the match, but it felt very much
• 36:59
  like cheeky little boogers and blazer against Simon.
• 37:05
  It felt a bit like a handicap match in a sense.
• 37:10
  But Adams and Riley are two incredible wrestlers, very high
• 37:17
  flying, great to watch, especially when they go up
• 37:23
  against each other as well. Because we saw a bit of
• 37:28
  dissension a couple months ago. I'm trying to remember what I
• 37:34
  think. It was a scramble match and I
• 37:37
  believe Riley hit a move and Adams pushed Riley out and
• 37:43
  pinned. I think it was that Walker and
• 37:48
  Riley was not too happy with his with his tag partner.
• 37:53
  So he saw a bit of dissension there, but obviously things seem
• 37:57
  to have been patched up in Bridge at least.

  We then saw Miller getting the hot tag in this match, beating
• 38:10
  up everyone, but really it was more the the end of the closing
• 38:17
  stages of this contest where Miller got knocked to the
• 38:23
  outside. Falcon and Crowley then saw
• 38:27
  Christmas come early when they began to use Christmas tape and
• 38:32
  wrapping paper, taping Miller to the ring part and then just for
• 38:39
  some reason just wrapping Miller up in wrapping paper because why
• 38:47
  not I suppose which just watching the match going on and
• 38:53
  then wrapping Simon up was a weird thing to watch.
• 38:59
  But after they've done so, it's on Nate Riley getting caught by
• 39:03
  Joe Blaser. We then had Falcon and Crowley
• 39:07
  hitting their double team, which is a unique name for this move
• 39:15
  in the spinning spit roast. Falcon and Crowley win the
• 39:21
  match, Simon was being taunted by Blazer and the cheeky little
• 39:28
  buggers could not get himself free from all.
• 39:32
  The tape then powers out and saw everyone abscond from the ring.
• 39:40
  So it was a it was a fun little match to be fair.

  We then came to one of the two bangers on the show, the Bridge
• 39:54
  Grant, also the Bridge Pro Grand Title, with the champion Brandon
• 40:00
  Jordan facing Liam Jones who was the number one contender.

  Again, so much happened in this contest, but it began with Jones
• 40:18
  using his wrestling technical knowledge.
• 40:23
  Jordan having to use quickness and fast-paced offence to kind
• 40:28
  of negate anything that Jones was doing.
• 40:34
  Then from there it was just magic from these two, both
• 40:41
  hitting moves after move, Jones hitting strong offence, one
• 40:50
  being an absolute lariat that nearly took Jordan's head off.
• 40:54
  It was brutal, Jordan just trying to survive this match at
• 41:03
