- 0:07Speaker 2: Dungeons Toyota. Good morning, sir, good morning time, good morning
- 0:10Speaker 2: to everyone out there watching.
- 0:12Speaker 1: Thank you for joining us. We appreciate your support.
- 0:15Speaker 2: And welcome to my friend Cherry and and uh and Brenda, Yes,
- 0:21Speaker 2: didn't organize.
- 0:23Speaker 3: Here, good customer and friend of mine.
- 0:30Speaker 2: Of course, Cherry does all the hard work out of
- 0:33Speaker 2: the GAPE mission.
- 0:37Speaker 1: You can't do it without you.
- 0:40Speaker 2: And you know, I always say to those of you
- 0:42Speaker 2: who who make those calls like you do, Brenda, that
- 0:47Speaker 2: is what is the life of the nonprofits in our community.
- 0:51Speaker 1: And so thank you for that, I mean, just for
- 0:54Speaker 1: the ask.
- 0:56Speaker 2: Sometimes that's so missed I think by people who get
- 1:00Speaker 2: called a lot you know that they do.
- 1:05Speaker 1: We really are.
- 1:06Speaker 4: We have lots of caring people taking.
- 1:09Speaker 2: Great organizations like a GAPE that are really Bartlesville institutions
- 1:15Speaker 2: and kind of came from somebody's passion and inspiration here
- 1:19Speaker 2: in town.
- 1:20Speaker 1: And more than one person that builds.
- 1:23Speaker 2: Steam, you know, comes up with events like like empty Bowls,
- 1:29Speaker 2: which has a life of its own. Now.
- 1:32Speaker 5: In fact, everybody is always anxious to get to August
- 1:35Speaker 5: because you know, it's hot in August. It's hot in
- 1:37Speaker 5: July two, but it's hot in August, and everybody's looking
- 1:40Speaker 5: for something to do.
- 1:41Speaker 4: It's it's great. It's a downtown event.
- 1:44Speaker 5: Everybody can, you know, basically get off from work and
- 1:47Speaker 5: go to lunch and come over and taste, you know,
- 1:50Speaker 5: over over forty vendors of restaurants in Bartlesville, and of
- 1:55Speaker 5: course pick a bowl. That's the first thing they do.
- 1:57Speaker 5: They turn the chair up, go get a ball, and.
- 1:59Speaker 4: Then go, you know through the line.
- 2:01Speaker 3: Handmade that's right, hand painted and painted, yes, and they're
- 2:07Speaker 3: all one of a kind.
- 2:08Speaker 4: We've had people say can I get another? No, you
- 2:11Speaker 4: hit they're one of a kind.
- 2:14Speaker 5: But this event this year is it's always the fourth
- 2:18Speaker 5: Tuesday in August and it's the twenty fifth. I was
- 2:23Speaker 5: looking at last our next year's date. Now it's about
- 2:26Speaker 5: said that next year. It's the twenty fifth of August
- 2:30Speaker 5: at the center we know it as the Community Center
- 2:34Speaker 5: on that Tuesday from eleven thirty to one thirty. You
- 2:39Speaker 5: can buy tickets online at a gape Bartlesville dot com.
- 2:42Speaker 5: Go to the donate button. Once you get there and
- 2:45Speaker 5: you're filling out your information. There's a little memo box
- 2:48Speaker 5: and if you say, okay, you're going to donate fifty dollars,
- 2:51Speaker 5: that's for two tick in Peo Bowl tickets. And that's
- 2:53Speaker 5: what you write in that little memo and then we'll
- 2:56Speaker 5: put them in our little box and they'll be.
- 2:57Speaker 4: At the doorwait on you when you get there.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Awesome, and then you can buy at the door.
- 3:02Speaker 4: You can buy at the door and they're all the
- 3:04Speaker 4: same price.
- 3:04Speaker 1: You've had a great crowd.
- 3:06Speaker 4: Oh my goodness.
- 3:07Speaker 5: We're just so blessed because people look forward to I mean,
- 3:10Speaker 5: we have anywhere from four to six hundred people that
- 3:13Speaker 5: come through there every year. And of course, you know,
- 3:16Speaker 5: we try to, you know, hope people kind of stretch
- 3:19Speaker 5: it out, but you know, sometimes it's like, okay, I
- 3:21Speaker 5: have lunch between eleven and twelve, I'm going, you.
- 3:23Speaker 4: Know, and that's fine a time, that's fine.
- 3:27Speaker 5: We just ask people that come, you know, don't don't
- 3:31Speaker 5: bring it. This is a tasting lunch and don't bring
- 3:33Speaker 5: your type aware and if you have to, just come
- 3:39Speaker 5: and get your food and go. We do have a
- 3:44Speaker 5: certain area for to go items. You can't eat them there,
- 3:48Speaker 5: and you can't bring a box sled with you know,
- 3:50Speaker 5: to put your plates in. You have to get it
- 3:52Speaker 5: to go thing because it's a tasting lunch and it's
- 3:55Speaker 5: going to come all.
- 3:56Speaker 4: It's a.
- 4:01Speaker 1: Restaurant. That's great.
- 4:03Speaker 5: You can taste them and you think, oh, I maybe
- 4:05Speaker 5: you want to eat there.
- 4:06Speaker 4: You know, we have a few new ones.
- 4:08Speaker 1: Yeah, and you certainly get plenty to eat.
- 4:10Speaker 5: Oh yes, if you go, because we have like I
- 4:13Speaker 5: don't know, eight boosts and has like four you know,
- 4:17Speaker 5: vendors to a thing, so there's no way that you
- 4:19Speaker 5: should leave hungry.
- 4:20Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 4:21Speaker 3: The couple of new ones is you're as Wingstop. They're
- 4:23Speaker 3: new in town and we've also got well try Count
- 4:27Speaker 3: is not new, but they're back. So we're glad to
- 4:30Speaker 3: have them back. And really appreciate all the restaurants who
- 4:33Speaker 3: do it every year. And with this economy, that's amazing.
- 4:37Speaker 5: It is because everybody's on such a tight budget and
- 4:40Speaker 5: we appreciate everything. We know how tough it is in
- 4:43Speaker 5: the restaurant business, you know, and we appreciate all the
- 4:47Speaker 5: help that everybody gives us.
- 4:48Speaker 1: And of course because the people you serve you know that.
- 4:52Speaker 4: I mean, you live it and we live it every
- 4:55Speaker 4: day every day.
- 4:56Speaker 2: And give out that you know, you know, something like
- 5:00Speaker 2: forty over forty five hundred meals a month.
- 5:02Speaker 5: Yes, and we have anywhere from thirty to seventy people
- 5:07Speaker 5: every month that has never eaten with us before, which
- 5:10Speaker 5: that number just still blows my mind.
- 5:13Speaker 4: So you know it's people.
- 5:14Speaker 5: That's not enter database, that has not eaten with us before.
- 5:17Speaker 5: I get calls all the time, you know, I've never
- 5:21Speaker 5: eaten there before. What do I have to bring with
- 5:23Speaker 5: me in order to eat? I say, as long as
- 5:25Speaker 5: we have your name, address and birthday.
- 5:27Speaker 4: You can have a nutritious meal today. So you know,
- 5:31Speaker 4: we're not going to make them, you know, give their
- 5:34Speaker 4: blood or you know, firstborn or something like that.
- 5:38Speaker 5: You know, we just ask when they're And the only
- 5:40Speaker 5: reason we ask for their birthday is simply because the
- 5:42Speaker 5: computer keeps track of their age, which we have to
- 5:46Speaker 5: do demographics for all the reporting that we do, and
- 5:49Speaker 5: so that's the only reason we have.
- 5:51Speaker 2: Yeah, and it you know it is you have elderly
- 5:54Speaker 2: programs and.
- 5:57Speaker 5: Kid and then the on side program and we do
- 6:00Speaker 5: you know, over six hundred sacks a week with the
- 6:03Speaker 5: food for kids, and we're just now gearing up, you know,
- 6:06Speaker 5: school's going to start here in another you know, three weeks,
- 6:09Speaker 5: and so we're already gearing up for that program. So
- 6:13Speaker 5: you know, I'll put a plug in for Rizy if
- 6:16Speaker 5: if you're say you just retired and you're looking for
- 6:19Speaker 5: something to do. We have teams of people that drive
- 6:22Speaker 5: every week for us, that deliver to all the schools
- 6:25Speaker 5: or if you want to pack, help pack sacks. It's
- 6:28Speaker 5: every Monday from one to three. She'll start packing sacks
- 6:33Speaker 5: every Monday, the first Monday after Labor Day, okay, and
- 6:37Speaker 5: we'll do a few deliveries before that, but that's when
- 6:40Speaker 5: we try to gear up.
- 6:41Speaker 4: Is this the Monday after labor awesome?
- 6:45Speaker 2: Well, and it does take so many volunteers and all
- 6:49Speaker 2: the resources you can collect, I'm sure.
- 6:52Speaker 1: And just to provide all those services.
- 6:55Speaker 5: Absolutely, you know, and every time, you know, we're just
- 6:59Speaker 5: like everybody else. Every time you go to the grocery
- 7:00Speaker 5: store or something's went up, every time we have to
- 7:03Speaker 5: order something, you know, because we don't get everything donated
- 7:06Speaker 5: and I can't get everything at the food bank.
- 7:08Speaker 4: We do our best.
- 7:09Speaker 5: I mean, you know, we go pick up from five
- 7:12Speaker 5: days a week from one local grocer, one time a
- 7:15Speaker 5: week from another, one two times a week from another one.
- 7:18Speaker 5: So we're trying to take everything that still has a
- 7:22Speaker 5: little life in it. You know, it may not be
- 7:24Speaker 5: they can't sell it anymore, but it's still good. And
- 7:27Speaker 5: so we take those items and we use them, we
- 7:32Speaker 5: share them, or we give them to our people for
- 7:34Speaker 5: them to take home. And we protect our vendors because
- 7:39Speaker 5: everything that we get in that we're going to give
- 7:41Speaker 5: to a client, we mark out the bar codes so
- 7:43Speaker 5: there's no shenanigans would happen to go on.
- 7:47Speaker 4: But they're very appreciative.
- 7:48Speaker 5: Our people are very thankful for everything they get because
- 7:51Speaker 5: you know, they're trying to decide whether they're going to
- 7:53Speaker 5: pay rent or buy a medicine or groceries, or pay
- 7:57Speaker 5: a water bill or electrical it's.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Kind of this community too.
- 8:02Speaker 4: Oh absolutely.
- 8:03Speaker 5: You know, if you're on a fixed income and you
- 8:06Speaker 5: make less than one thousand dollars a month, by the
- 8:08Speaker 5: time you pay rent and a utility bill, that's pretty
- 8:11Speaker 5: much gone, you know, because you're looking at most a
- 8:14Speaker 5: lot of our people make between seven and nine hundred
- 8:16Speaker 5: dollars a month with disability or so security, and so
- 8:20Speaker 5: you can't go out and eat. You know how expensive
- 8:23Speaker 5: it is to go out and eat. And they're outing
- 8:27Speaker 5: maybe once a week to come to a goffee and
- 8:30Speaker 5: meet their friends there and they have a nice lunch.
- 8:33Speaker 5: So you know, there's varying reasons. You have as many
- 8:36Speaker 5: reasons why people eat there as people that eat there.
- 8:39Speaker 5: But everyone is low to no income.
- 8:43Speaker 2: You mentioned why people. You know a little bit of
- 8:45Speaker 2: information you have to give to get meals. Tell us
- 8:47Speaker 2: about you know where to go when the meals are served.
- 8:50Speaker 4: Oh absolutely, We're there five days a week.
- 8:53Speaker 5: We're open to the public from eleven to one forty five,
- 8:56Speaker 5: so you can come in between those times and all
- 8:59Speaker 5: you have to do give your name, address, birthday, we'll
- 9:01Speaker 5: put you in the computer. You get a ticket, you
- 9:03Speaker 5: go through the line, sit down and eat, bitch, try it,
- 9:07Speaker 5: you know. And we have people that eat there once
- 9:09Speaker 5: a week, once a month, once every day.
- 9:13Speaker 1: You know, no, no requirements.
- 9:16Speaker 4: No, no, we don't you know.
- 9:19Speaker 5: I think Jesus fed people and he didn't ask him
- 9:21Speaker 5: did you did you have something else today? But many
- 9:25Speaker 5: of our people will tell you that this is the
- 9:27Speaker 5: only meal that they may have a snack here there,
- 9:30Speaker 5: and a lot of times that's the snack that we're
- 9:32Speaker 5: giving them at the giveaway table.
- 9:35Speaker 4: But that's the only nutritious meal that get.
- 9:37Speaker 2: That well, and all the money that's raised through the
- 9:43Speaker 2: empty bowls, yes, event goes towards.
- 9:45Speaker 5: The one percent goes to buy food and by utility
- 9:49Speaker 5: bills and packsacks, and you know, it all goes one
- 9:53Speaker 5: percent right back into the programs.
- 9:55Speaker 3: And most of what we get is all net.
- 9:59Speaker 4: We get.
- 10:00Speaker 3: We can have a lot of people pay for our expenses,
- 10:02Speaker 3: you know, sponsors, so we get we're fortunate that that
- 10:06Speaker 3: we don't have a big.
- 10:09Speaker 1: We're going to have extensive.
- 10:12Speaker 4: They're wonderful and we can't get them all on the poster.
- 10:16Speaker 2: I was looking at that on the poster, there's dozens, yea.
- 10:20Speaker 4: And yes, they're so thankful for all of them.
- 10:23Speaker 3: Yeah, they say, you know, some of the small ones,
- 10:25Speaker 3: we could always uh not put them on the poster,
- 10:28Speaker 3: but I'm going no, they need to recognition to so you.
- 10:31Speaker 5: Know, we go all the way from you know, Conico, Phillips,
- 10:33Speaker 5: Phillips Petroleum, Crossling Construction, all the way down to uh,
- 10:40Speaker 5: you know, looking Sharp, which is they give us an
- 10:43Speaker 5: in kind when we get done with the event, I
- 10:45Speaker 5: take all my aprons that we've all worn that day
- 10:47Speaker 5: and then for us for nothing.
- 10:50Speaker 4: So we appreciate that.
- 10:51Speaker 2: That does take the community to happen these kinds of events,
- 10:56Speaker 2: and for a GOPE mission, it is a community driven
- 11:00Speaker 2: organization and like I said, has such a great impact
- 11:03Speaker 2: on us. And we all know that that, you know,
- 11:06Speaker 2: budgets are strained this these days.
- 11:08Speaker 1: We've got a lot of of uh, you know, we
- 11:11Speaker 1: see that in the car business.
- 11:13Speaker 2: The whole.
- 11:15Speaker 1: Thing with you know, the spike and vehicle prices a.
- 11:19Speaker 2: Few years ago after the COVID thing and rare scarcity
- 11:24Speaker 2: of vehicles, and and some of the cars cost way
- 11:27Speaker 2: more than they had a few years earlier, and now
- 11:30Speaker 2: people are wanting, needing to get out of those Sometimes there's.
- 11:35Speaker 1: An equity positions.
- 11:36Speaker 2: We're having to be more than ever really almost advisors
- 11:42Speaker 2: on how to how to get the most for your car.
- 11:46Speaker 2: We're lucky to have Toyota. It's uh, you know, the
- 11:49Speaker 2: value of toyotas the long term cost of ownership, the
- 11:54Speaker 2: way that the residual or resale value of the vehicle works,
- 11:59Speaker 2: and the low maintenance and you know, reliability of the
- 12:03Speaker 2: vehicle is a is a story and more and more
- 12:06Speaker 2: consumers are interested in that.
- 12:08Speaker 1: I saw something in the.
- 12:09Speaker 2: News this week from the American Customer Satisfaction Index people
- 12:15Speaker 2: that Toyota is.
- 12:17Speaker 1: The now the number one brand.
- 12:20Speaker 2: Historically, a lot of the luxury brands had been number
- 12:24Speaker 2: one in that and Toyota moved to number one this year,
- 12:28Speaker 2: ahead of all the other automotive brands. And and because
- 12:32Speaker 2: a lot of those things long term cost of ownership payments,
- 12:37Speaker 2: concern future costs causing you know, looking at fuel economy,
- 12:41Speaker 2: resale value, and the total.
- 12:42Speaker 1: Cost of ownership. And it's a great great to brand
- 12:46Speaker 1: to look at.
- 12:47Speaker 2: If we can help you all through that process, if
- 12:50Speaker 2: you have any questions, we try to be real transparent
- 12:53Speaker 2: in how.
- 12:53Speaker 1: We sell cars value trades.
- 12:56Speaker 2: We just walk you through the whole process, take all
- 12:58Speaker 2: the time it needs to explain to you what's going on.
- 13:01Speaker 1: Don't play We.
- 13:02Speaker 2: Don't play any games with the numbers and try to
- 13:05Speaker 2: confuse you in the process. Try to keep it simple
- 13:08Speaker 2: and call it we call it a simple price. And
- 13:11Speaker 2: and our noncommissioned sales team, because they're not motivated by
- 13:16Speaker 2: the gross profit we make on a vehicle sale, they
- 13:19Speaker 2: really can focus on the customer and their needs.
- 13:21Speaker 1: And that's that's what we want to do in their business,
- 13:28Speaker 1: so I do.
- 13:29Speaker 2: I want to give a shout out to William and
- 13:31Speaker 2: Noah for covering the show for me last week. Hopefully
- 13:35Speaker 2: it went okay. I don't think you weren't here either, Tom,
- 13:37Speaker 2: but Nathan.
- 13:39Speaker 1: Take care of Nathan took care of everything went by.
- 13:43Speaker 2: It sounded from Williams reports and everything went pretty well.
- 13:46Speaker 2: But thank you guys for coming and covering for me.
- 13:50Speaker 1: I was off on.
- 13:50Speaker 2: Vacation and beautiful Colorado, cool and off, and it seems
- 13:55Speaker 2: like it just.
- 13:56Speaker 1: Got hotter when I got back.
- 13:57Speaker 2: But thankfully, these last couple of days've been pretty good.
- 14:01Speaker 4: I didn't have any of the smoke, No, we missed it.
- 14:04Speaker 2: There was some right before we got there, and but
- 14:07Speaker 2: it was beautiful while we were there, and you know,
- 14:10Speaker 2: they thought it was a little warm, but it was
- 14:11Speaker 2: like it was seventy eight and it's.
- 14:15Speaker 1: Like, yeah, it's not warm. I think Tuesday it was
- 14:21Speaker 1: a one twenty or something that was a bit extreme.
- 14:27Speaker 2: Yeah, just a little bit cooler than the center of
- 14:29Speaker 2: the earth like that.
- 14:31Speaker 1: You know, really it was really hot.
- 14:33Speaker 2: But yeah, we we deal with that out the dealership too,
- 14:37Speaker 2: And it does stress out your vehicles. So if you
- 14:39Speaker 2: have any service needs or anything, be sure to.
- 14:42Speaker 1: Reach out to us.
- 14:43Speaker 2: I know lots of people are taking vacations this time
- 14:46Speaker 2: of year and getting in and out and traveling all around.
- 14:48Speaker 2: So to take advantage of our maintenance offerings there. We've
- 14:52Speaker 2: got some great discounts on our website and you can
- 14:55Speaker 2: schedule your service online and done just two dot com
- 15:00Speaker 2: the uh what else? Anything else? At a gope? Anything
- 15:04Speaker 2: else going on?
- 15:06Speaker 1: What else?
- 15:07Speaker 4: It's busy every day.
- 15:08Speaker 5: You know, if you find yourself, you know, not having
- 15:11Speaker 5: enough to do, we know where you can come for
- 15:14Speaker 5: a couple hours a day. Just give us a call
- 15:17Speaker 5: and we will see what day works for you and
- 15:20Speaker 5: what day works for us.
- 15:21Speaker 1: Your schedules of volunteers, how does it take?
- 15:25Speaker 4: Oh will?
- 15:26Speaker 5: It depends on if you're going to work all day
- 15:28Speaker 5: or if you just work for two hours. But you know,
- 15:30Speaker 5: I call it a two hour shift because we're there.
- 15:33Speaker 5: Volunteers start coming in at nine thirty. You know, you
- 15:36Speaker 5: can't just twitch your nose and all of a sudden
- 15:38Speaker 5: there's a meal there. You have to start chopping salad
- 15:41Speaker 5: and making salads.
- 15:42Speaker 1: And you know, doing all the trap.
- 15:44Speaker 5: Oh yeah, so yeah, nine thirty they come in. Then
- 15:49Speaker 5: about ten forty five then if the second crew comes in,
- 15:51Speaker 5: then that's the serving crew. And then about one twelve
- 15:55Speaker 5: thirty or so, we have the third crew come in,
- 15:57Speaker 5: which is the finish serving and the clean up crew,
- 16:01Speaker 5: and then we're ready to go the next day do.
- 16:03Speaker 1: It all over again, because you do have to track
- 16:06Speaker 1: some of data.
- 16:07Speaker 2: Do you know how many volunteer hours it takes for
- 16:11Speaker 2: a day, for a day or a week.
- 16:13Speaker 5: Or we usually have just in the Food for Kids program,
- 16:17Speaker 5: I think she has over four hundred volunteer hours a month.
- 16:23Speaker 5: And that's just packing the sex, you know, and you know,
- 16:26Speaker 5: you take one person and they're there for you know,
- 16:29Speaker 5: two hours, but if you've got fifteen people in there
- 16:32Speaker 5: for two hours, you know.
- 16:33Speaker 1: That's how those sacks are delivered through the schools.
- 16:36Speaker 4: To every school.
- 16:37Speaker 5: We have drivers that deliver every Thursday or whatever the
- 16:41Speaker 5: last is. The schools determined how many sex you know,
- 16:44Speaker 5: they do it all they Rizzy is in touch with
- 16:46Speaker 5: them every week to verify because we have a sheet
- 16:50Speaker 5: that verifies our numbers of who We just know the
- 16:53Speaker 5: kid's name and what class are in and what age
- 16:55Speaker 5: they are, and she is in contact with this school
- 17:00Speaker 5: staff every week because sometimes you know, people move and
- 17:04Speaker 5: different things. So they verify numbers and we deliver to
- 17:07Speaker 5: that school whatever sacks they need that week.
- 17:10Speaker 1: Amazing.
- 17:12Speaker 2: It's a whole process and it is yeah, I mean,
- 17:14Speaker 2: it's so much going on and it goes throughout the year,
- 17:17Speaker 2: even though some of it well for school.
- 17:20Speaker 5: Well, and we have provided some summer school sacks. You
- 17:24Speaker 5: know of kids that was in summer school. I think
- 17:26Speaker 5: she did I think three hundred and fifty sacks or
- 17:29Speaker 5: something like that for the summer. So yeah, even though
- 17:32Speaker 5: she can get those all done and we deliver them
- 17:35Speaker 5: two times, I think there's a there's summer school and
- 17:39Speaker 5: then it changes and there's another summer school, so she
- 17:42Speaker 5: delivers two different times. But yeah, you know, and we
- 17:46Speaker 5: serve between four and five thousand meals a month and
- 17:49Speaker 5: the on site program that's people that actually come in
- 17:53Speaker 5: and our senior meal program. We have about twenty two
- 17:56Speaker 5: people on our senior program. We'd love to have more
- 18:00Speaker 5: every people that we could do another team. I have
- 18:02Speaker 5: people on the waiting list. Yes, we have senior We
- 18:05Speaker 5: have hospital callers, you know, because these people, our senior
- 18:09Speaker 5: people are people that are on a very low income.
- 18:12Speaker 4: They have no transportation, they have no family.
- 18:15Speaker 5: Basically, we are it to get them a meal every day,
- 18:20Speaker 5: and we've had the hospital call. It's they're about to
- 18:22Speaker 5: release somebody on and want to make sure that they
- 18:25Speaker 5: have a meal. Now, we're not the only one in
- 18:26Speaker 5: Bottlesville that does a senior program, you know the other ones.
- 18:32Speaker 5: I think, well, we have meals on wheels. I think
- 18:34Speaker 5: there is at the end. I think the Nutrition Project
- 18:36Speaker 5: in Dewey.
- 18:37Speaker 4: I don't think that they charge, but they deliver as well.
- 18:40Speaker 4: But everybody's full, you know. So we're just busy, no doubt.
- 18:49Speaker 2: And what if people are interested in involunteering or helping,
- 18:53Speaker 2: how do they.
- 18:54Speaker 5: Just call the mission nine three three six fifty four
- 18:57Speaker 5: ten or get on You can actually on our new
- 19:00Speaker 5: website the PDG does for us, which is sponsored by
- 19:05Speaker 5: OPS and Dewey.
- 19:08Speaker 4: They you can go on there.
- 19:09Speaker 5: And there is a volunteer tab and if you go
- 19:11Speaker 5: in there and fill out the information, I'll get an
- 19:14Speaker 5: email and if you give us your phone number, then
- 19:16Speaker 5: we'll have our step call you and get you set up.
- 19:20Speaker 2: Awesome church groups and other service groups wind up volunteering for.
- 19:24Speaker 4: Oh yeah, we have.
- 19:25Speaker 5: We have churches that have a particular like Saint Luke's
- 19:29Speaker 5: does the second and fourth Thursday.
- 19:31Speaker 4: Spirit Church does the third Thursday.
- 19:33Speaker 5: You know, so we have groups that actually come in
- 19:35Speaker 5: and do that together, and then we have individuals that
- 19:38Speaker 5: come over.
- 19:41Speaker 2: And of course the big event coming up. It's August twenty.
- 19:45Speaker 5: Fifth at the Community Center the Center from eleven thirty

- 20:15Speaker 4: Yeah, the whole parking that is like what's going on today.
- 20:18Speaker 3: Most people get their bowls, but there's some who don't.
- 20:21Speaker 3: So we probably have close to six hundred people coming through.
- 20:25Speaker 3: But there's a volunteer opportunity at empty Balls. We have
- 20:29Speaker 3: a lot of restaurants can't deliver, so we have volunteers
- 20:32Speaker 3: who go out and pick it up and normally would
- 20:34Speaker 3: get them from Conical Phillips or Phillips and their staff's
- 20:39Speaker 3: going down and so some people were getting low on volunteers.
- 20:42Speaker 3: So if you would like to help, it's about an hour.
- 20:46Speaker 3: You come in, we give you the information, where to go,
- 20:49Speaker 3: what to do, You bring it back and just pick

- 21:49Speaker 3: hundred chicken and hush Puppies and fries, sols and Chick.
- 21:56Speaker 4: Fil A does a lot like that.
- 21:58Speaker 3: Most smaller restaurants can't do as much, so we're very
- 22:01Speaker 3: thankful for the ones who can bring a little more.
- 22:04Speaker 4: And internes, which was Wingstop.
- 22:07Speaker 3: Wingstop and we have also that noodle truck. The first
