- 1:32Speaker 1: Listen.
- 1:32Speaker 1: It's not every day that you meet women in business who are successful, humble, purpose driven trailblazers.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Excuse me, and today's guest is that woman.
- 1:44Speaker 1: So for those of y'all who are looking to level up in business, you've got to listen to this episode.
- 1:48Speaker 1: My friend is a speaker, she's a podcast host, she's a TV producer, she's a military spouse, she's a best selling author And we're going to talk about the premiere of Purpose, a pursue purpose TV that's coming up August 27.
- 2:04Speaker 1: I am beyond humble to have you on this here program.

- 2:19Speaker 2: Okay, I know wherever you at, doing whatever you're doing.
- 2:22Speaker 1: Yeah, this is.
- 2:23Speaker 1: This is one of those.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Seriously, we're going to really get into all and everything that you're doing And, in particular, is talking about streaming and live TV, which is kind of where a lot of us in podcasting are shifting to.
- 2:36Speaker 1: So this is that episode, this is that woman And we're going to.
- 2:39Speaker 1: You know, we're going to go ahead and get started, so how are you doing?
- 2:42Speaker 1: Are you feeling all right?
- 2:45Speaker 2: I'm feeling good.
- 2:46Speaker 2: I'm feeling good.
- 2:47Speaker 2: This weekend.
- 2:50Speaker 2: It's a has been a phenomenal weekend, praise God.
- 2:52Speaker 2: It was the culmination of a lot of hard work, a lot of prayers, a lot of sweat, a lot of tears y'all lots and lots and lots of tears.
- 3:03Speaker 2: You know what?
- 3:07Speaker 1: I don't think people understand.
- 3:08Speaker 1: Like they see, i say this all the time people tend to see the the end or the middle part of the journey and they don't understand the work that it takes.
- 3:16Speaker 1: So when I throw out the word purpose driven, that is a heart.
- 3:20Speaker 1: First of all, even just stepping into what that is.
- 3:23Speaker 1: So I want to break this down so people get a good understanding of what it is that you do, what you offer.
- 3:28Speaker 1: And then I definitely want to dig into the TV challenge, season two, and I'm y'all, i'm positioning myself.
- 3:35Speaker 1: We're going to make sure I'm going to drop the link also for those of you who are interested.
- 3:41Speaker 1: I think again, this is this is where podcasts are heading.
- 3:45Speaker 1: So for those of you are trying to figure out what's the next level, what's the next step, this is where you want to go.
- 3:50Speaker 1: So so just start out by you know coming into your business and you know give us a good idea of what it is you do.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Shout out to dumping ground podcast.
- 3:58Speaker 1: Thanks for double tapping us.
- 3:59Speaker 1: I said all the people are watching on that podcast.
- 4:04Speaker 2: Come on in the room.
- 4:05Speaker 2: So I mean really, I think the easiest way to describe who I am and what I do is I, first and foremost, I'm a woman of God And as a woman of God, the Lord has blessed me to wear many hats, but my favorite hats are those of wife, mom and grandmother.
- 4:25Speaker 2: Before I'm anything else and can do anything else At this stage in my life now, if you were to ask me this, maybe 20 years ago, two years ago, the answer would have been very, very different.
- 4:38Speaker 2: But where I am in my life right now, I realized that those roles are the most important, The most important roles that anyone can have.
- 4:49Speaker 2: Amen.
- 4:51Speaker 2: And it is what we have learned through functioning in those roles or coming to a level of success in those roles that prepare us to be successful in every single thing that we do.
- 5:00Speaker 2: And that's what that's.
- 5:02Speaker 2: That is like my foundation there.
- 5:04Speaker 2: Now the Lord has blessed me in other capacities outside of being a wife, a mom and now a very proud grandmother to be a minister of the gospel.
- 5:14Speaker 2: He's blessed me to be able to travel the world, Some due to my husband's career he spent 24 years active duty and so everywhere that we went.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Wait, shout out the branch police so they can get a recognition for this service.
- 5:28Speaker 2: Come on The show for show.
- 5:29Speaker 2: 24 plus years active duty army.
- 5:32Speaker 2: So yes, i am a proud retired army wife with a very special place in my heart for military spouses, because I absolutely understand what we have to overcome, both in garrison and in times where of the poor.
- 5:51Speaker 2: So it's definitely something that's not for the faint of heart, it's not for the weak, but if you are a military spouse and you're looking to be encouraged, empowered and just say, since I need somebody to talk to, i'm your girl, hit me up on any of my social media platforms and we can talk about it.
- 6:08Speaker 2: I have an ear to listen, amen.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Yes, you do, hi, Dr Angela Pearson.
- 6:12Speaker 1: Hi, dr Angela Pearson, i love you, thank God, He's the reason for everything and you're a beautiful person.
- 6:21Speaker 1: Thank you I totally full heartedly agree.
- 6:24Speaker 1: I feel like one of the things that drew me to you the most is your heart for what you do.
- 6:32Speaker 1: So we make this thing look very easy.
- 6:36Speaker 1: But this is also part of a gift.
- 6:40Speaker 1: We just love talking to people and we love raising other people up.
- 6:44Speaker 1: But this is one of those things that just your heart for what you do and the way that you serve your clients, the way that you serve your community.
- 6:52Speaker 1: that shows up in your work And I want to touch a little bit on some of the things that you do as a speaker.
- 6:59Speaker 1: Can you talk a little bit about that?
- 7:03Speaker 2: So some of the things that I do as a speaker is I love to speak on topics revolving around purpose and identity and personal development.
- 7:14Speaker 2: I am a very proud graduate and member of the John Maxwell or Maxwell leadership under the rebranding of Maxwell leadership, and in that personal development, through that teaching, i found that personal development is the key to all of our success.
- 7:31Speaker 2: If we do not have a personal development plan, then we have plan to fail, both personally and professionally, because how I show up professionally is a direct reflection of who I am on the inside, and so as I become a better version of me and this is things that I've discussed with my clients as we invest in ourselves and we become the better version of ourselves, that level of excellence always shows up in what we do to earn a few coins, whether we're entrepreneurs or whether we're corporate professionals, because we've all had the pleasure to work with someone who was excellent in a skill set, and that's about where it starts.
- 8:18Speaker 2: That's about it.
- 8:21Speaker 1: I say any names, but we do know quite a few.
- 8:22Speaker 2: Yes, But, and they don't have the people skills necessary, but yet because of their excellent skillset, they hold a position.
- 8:33Speaker 2: Some of them may hold it a long time, some of them may only hold it briefly and then find that they have to move around from company to company for various different reasons.
- 8:41Speaker 2: And then it's because a lack of people skills or lack of a better word, but lack of people skills.
- 8:48Speaker 2: And with my clients we work with that, we work through that, and I found in that work that a lot of individuals who struggle in that area it's because they don't know who they are, shelley They have.
- 9:01Speaker 2: They have mistakenly connected their identity and their worth to what they do for a living, to what they do to earn a living, and that could not be like.
- 9:16Speaker 2: That's the worst thing that we can do.
- 9:17Speaker 2: That you do to earn a living, what you do in your occupation, is not who you are.
- 9:24Speaker 2: It doesn't add value or subtract value from the individual that you have been created to be.
- 9:30Speaker 2: And so we I do a lot of work with my clients with saying, okay, you know who are you, and that's generally why the clients come to me, the I work with women ages 34 to 45.
- 9:44Speaker 2: And we're at.
- 9:45Speaker 2: At about that age, we tend to hit a transition point in life across worlds, if you will.
- 9:49Speaker 2: Some of us are children, are getting ready to leave home, we're empty nesting, or you've been at that place where you are in your career and you're saying there's got to be more.
- 9:58Speaker 2: You know, you're at that place where we're questioning things and we want more, and I am the person that some of my clients have chosen to look out to and said Hey, let me have a conversation with you, wow.
- 10:12Speaker 1: So what is this identity?
- 10:14Speaker 1: What is this?
- 10:14Speaker 2: We're talking about.
- 10:15Speaker 1: Yeah, i love that You know I can go on all day about identity and y'all can come back on Thursday and talk about identity, christ.
- 10:22Speaker 2: That's a whole service.
- 10:23Speaker 1: But you know, one of the things that that I also appreciate about you is there are a lot of folks like us and I say this a lot we spin multiple plates, but we're gifted to do that.
- 10:34Speaker 1: We do multiple things, but we also do multiple things very well And we we're also very focused on what those things are.
- 10:41Speaker 1: And I wanted to know, because you're again, you know, outside of being a speaker, being a podcast host, an author again, we're going to touch on the TV because we got to get in there, right?
- 10:53Speaker 1: How do you, how do you manage and maintain your own sanity, How are you doing this?
- 11:02Speaker 1: You balancing it because there are people who are going to watch.
- 11:06Speaker 1: Listen y'all.
- 11:07Speaker 1: I say to everybody stay in your lane, but your lane might be you know multiple things, and if you're gifted to do that, that's your thing.
- 11:15Speaker 1: But how do you manage and maintain being successful in all of these different areas?
- 11:20Speaker 2: That's an excellent question And the honest answer is I wasn't.
- 11:24Speaker 2: for a long time I had no idea what balance looked like.
- 11:30Speaker 2: You know, i'm the type of individual and most successful people are, most passionate people are.
- 11:36Speaker 2: When you're doing something, you're giving your 110.
- 11:38Speaker 2: And so you may be giving your 110 in this area, but the other areas that require your attention are kind of suffering.
- 11:45Speaker 2: So or either you're giving a little bit to each area and all areas of suffering because you're still not in balance.
- 11:54Speaker 2: So what I've learned to do over the years for me is to prioritize myself first.
- 12:00Speaker 2: Prioritize myself first in.
- 12:04Speaker 2: that's a big piece of my personal development plan.
- 12:05Speaker 2: What I do to begin my day and what I do to end my day play a major role in the success that I have in successfully completing the task that take place in the middle of my day And that's important to me because that keeps me from stretching myself too thin.
- 12:28Speaker 2: So I prioritize myself, i give myself grace, amen.
- 12:31Speaker 2: I give myself grace because we could be our biggest critics.
- 12:35Speaker 2: Give myself grace.
- 12:38Speaker 2: And number three I learned the word.
- 12:41Speaker 2: No is anointed.
- 12:42Speaker 2: It is so anointed, it really is.
- 12:46Speaker 2: It sets the captives free.
- 12:47Speaker 2: Amen, yes, absolutely.
- 12:49Speaker 2: It sets the captives free.
- 12:52Speaker 2: It sets the captives free.
- 12:54Speaker 2: An anointed note is a thousand times better than a shaky yes, because I felt compelled or obligated in my yes, even though I knew that yes was going to cost me something.
- 13:09Speaker 2: Here's the thing The things that God has created us to do should not destroy or overwhelm who we are.
- 13:17Speaker 2: It should not destroy or overwhelm our homes, our families.
- 13:21Speaker 2: He didn't give us a gifting or a talent in places and places for those things to tear us down mentally, emotionally, physically, psychologically, and definitely he didn't give it to us to tear apart our families as well.
- 13:35Speaker 2: So who's the corporate then?
- 13:38Speaker 2: Then we're the corporate.
- 13:39Speaker 2: We have to learn what balance means to us individually, and I had to learn what balance meant for the monthly home.
- 13:46Speaker 2: Now, that might not be the same thing for your home or for my colleague's home, or you know people in my network.
- 13:53Speaker 2: That might not be for them.
- 13:54Speaker 2: And when I say network, i'm talking here whether we're doing our secular vocations or our secular occupations or our ministerial vocations.
- 14:02Speaker 2: I mean even the things that we do in ministry.
- 14:05Speaker 2: God didn't give us a calling and calls us to come to a place to make that calling an election?
- 14:08Speaker 2: Sure, but that calling and that ministry work to be something that becomes a weight and a hindrance in our home.
- 14:15Speaker 1: That's right, that's right.
- 14:17Speaker 2: We have to find the balance and know that what balance looks like for us as an individual and as couples and with children, it's not going to look the same in every home.
- 14:26Speaker 2: But it just because you, your balance, looks different from someone else's balance does not mean that you are not walking in the level of success, because that's the other thing.
- 14:35Speaker 2: What success looks like in the monthly home and for the quita might not be what success looks like for everyone else.
- 14:42Speaker 2: So I can't compare myself with other people.
- 14:45Speaker 2: Don't get caught in that comparison trap, right?
- 14:47Speaker 1: Right And I love y'all are getting free coaching, but it's not going to last.
- 14:52Speaker 1: Listen her work.
- 14:55Speaker 1: This is.
- 14:56Speaker 1: This is so.
- 14:57Speaker 1: So this is so important because something else we were talking about before we came online And I don't know for those of y'all in the chat, you know, comment and let us know if you kind of feel the same way.
- 15:07Speaker 1: We were talking about experiencing value and and even questioning it For me.
- 15:14Speaker 1: I was sharing a story about me kind of second guessing.
- 15:18Speaker 1: I was kind of shocked that someone, a business, saw value in this input that I was giving, to the fact that they were reaching out and saying, please, mentor, mentor us.
- 15:27Speaker 1: And even, you know, even with all the success that we we have and quite frankly, we have success, let me not.
- 15:34Speaker 2: Okay, absolutely, we have success Okay.
- 15:36Speaker 1: Absolutely But even with that you do have, you do get into a mindset every now and then when you start to question the value that you're bringing.
- 15:45Speaker 1: So, for those of y'all, maybe you're questioning that on your job and your marriage and your ministry, whatever that is, And we touched a little bit about you know.
- 15:53Speaker 1: You know, overcoming even that, even that, that mindset questioning your value, Can you touch a little bit about what your thoughts are on that?
- 16:02Speaker 2: So my thoughts on that is is simple.
- 16:05Speaker 2: You know the scripture calls we could say that they're fiery dots, right, and the weekend it's just a matter of are we going to receive them?
- 16:13Speaker 2: You know we can't stop, you know you might not necessarily be able to stop the negative thoughts from coming or the negative perceptions that we have of ourselves from coming, but you can combat that with the truth.
- 16:26Speaker 2: And the truth is I am valuable, i am worthy, i am successful, i am fearfully and wonderfully made.
- 16:34Speaker 2: I am awesome because I made it in the image of God, like when those things come, when that, when that negativity rises up on the inside of you, instead of just sitting in it, instead of sitting in it and soaking it in, soaking it in like a sponge, then we have to begin to push back against it.
- 16:56Speaker 2: And what are we pushing back against it with?
- 16:58Speaker 2: Well, then, we have to push back with against it with the truth of who we really are Yeah, who we really are, and it doesn't matter anyone else's opinion.
- 17:08Speaker 2: What did God say?
- 17:09Speaker 2: Because I am, i am a Christian.
- 17:11Speaker 2: Yes, i'm a business owner.
- 17:13Speaker 2: Yes, i'm a wife of my mom, i'm all of these things, but my foundation is in Christ, and so I'm able to combat those negative thoughts with the truth of God's word in the midst of I don't care if everything around me is on fire.
- 17:29Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 17:30Speaker 2: You know what did God say And when I speak, what God says and I believe it in my heart.
- 17:36Speaker 2: That's the other thing.
- 17:38Speaker 2: Affirmations are not bad.
- 17:40Speaker 2: I love affirmations.
- 17:41Speaker 2: I have affirmations around my, you know, in my personal space all of the time.
- 17:46Speaker 2: But for me, in those times I declare, i have to declare what God said about me And in those declarations and my belief of those declarations, because it is written, that's how I come back, that That's how I combat those negative thoughts and those that come because they're going to come.
- 18:06Speaker 2: The question is, what do we do with them when they come?
- 18:09Speaker 2: I don't own it.
- 18:11Speaker 2: I don't own it.
- 18:12Speaker 2: I'm not, you know, a machine, y'all.
- 18:15Speaker 1: Like I have been.
- 18:17Speaker 2: You know I have been I love that.
- 18:20Speaker 1: I love that.
- 18:21Speaker 1: You're getting a lot of love in the room.
- 18:22Speaker 1: I'm sorry for missing y'all comments, so keep talking.
- 18:25Speaker 1: y'all Speak.
- 18:25Speaker 1: The word is for real.
- 18:27Speaker 1: You know, something we talked about when I was on your show is I also say I only believe what's true about me.
- 18:33Speaker 1: Yes, i know what's true about me because, based on the word, that's what the word says.
- 18:37Speaker 1: So that's what I believe, absolutely.
- 18:39Speaker 2: Absolutely, absolutely.
- 18:41Speaker 1: And you have to have this kind of mindset.
- 18:45Speaker 1: This builds your confidence, this helps your motivation, this helps you to stay focused.
- 18:49Speaker 1: Without that, i think, without this foundation, quite frankly, i don't think pursue purpose TV would happen.
- 18:59Speaker 1: No now I want to talk about.
- 19:01Speaker 1: I want to talk about this pursue purpose TV.
- 19:04Speaker 1: y'all Listen, i'm so, i'm so, i'm listen, i'm so on a shame about how much of a super fan I am.
- 19:15Speaker 1: I am one of her fans, y'all for real.
- 19:17Speaker 1: I'm dropping a link in the comments to talk about the visibility package that y'all need to sign up for, but I want to find out, you know why.
- 19:27Speaker 1: why, why do this?
- 19:29Speaker 1: We know, you know.
- 19:30Speaker 1: again, from a business perspective, we understand that this is kind of where things are going.
- 19:34Speaker 1: Again, we're on a live TV right now, parade deck.
- 19:37Speaker 1: You shout out and thank you, but why go this journey up and see, and there's already a where can I sign up?
- 19:44Speaker 1: you know, you know the chat link is in the chat y'all.
- 19:50Speaker 1: She's amazing.
- 19:52Speaker 2: Yes, yes, so pursue purpose TV, oh wow.
- 19:58Speaker 2: It was it started the the the Lord gave me.
- 20:03Speaker 2: He gave that idea to me back in 2018, 2018, 2019 to be able to have a space and what happened really was I frequented.
- 20:22Speaker 2: I know it's a long story.
- 20:23Speaker 2: I'm going to make it quick as I can because I know the podcast is limited.
- 20:26Speaker 2: But back in like 2018, 2019, i have a local spot here my men pop spot is literally called boss place here that I'd like to go to every morning and that's a part of my me time in the morning.
- 20:39Speaker 2: The coffee is good, it only costs $2 and they have free Wi-Fi And the crowd is predominantly Vietnam veterans, so it's quiet because that's where the retirees are And I can go in process and think, spend time with the Lord, spend time with myself.
- 20:55Speaker 2: Anyway, i became a very regular person there And one day I was coming in and I was prepping to teach a class.
- 21:06Speaker 2: I was prepping to teach a class to some friends in ministry via zoom and the class is called master life And it's a discipleship curriculum.
- 21:13Speaker 2: It's very old curriculum, great curriculum.
- 21:16Speaker 2: Well, there's a gentleman that was there who noticed it, sat down and have a conversation with me and my husband about it And in the conversation, you know, we let him know, you know how long we have been teaching it and just the wonderful things that God had done through the teaching of this particular course over the years in our life.
- 21:34Speaker 2: And he introduces itself and he says Hey, you know, and I won't.
- 21:38Speaker 2: I won't say his name here, but he is the producer of our local gospel TV network.
- 21:47Speaker 2: I said you're who You know.
- 21:49Speaker 2: Yes, right.
- 21:52Speaker 2: Like so he had been.
- 21:54Speaker 2: We I have been seeing him.
- 21:55Speaker 2: You know, we know each other by face and politeness And he said Hey, i want to invite you to a meeting this afternoon with some of the board members there at the station, because we're trying to bring this curriculum to the station And we want someone to do short teachings on it.
- 22:10Speaker 2: And then because there are local ministries and the ministry that I was a part of at the time was one of the local ministries that uses this and it works very well I said, okay, great.
- 22:23Speaker 2: So I step into this place and it's full of elderly white men and one elderly white woman in me.
- 22:30Speaker 2: Where am I?
- 22:34Speaker 2: What are we doing?
- 22:35Speaker 2: Well, it's a kind of very long story short.
- 22:37Speaker 2: This is what they wanted to do.
- 22:38Speaker 2: This is the vision that they had.
- 22:39Speaker 2: However, tv costs money.
- 22:42Speaker 1: Yes.
- 22:43Speaker 2: TV costs money And that became the obstacle getting in the resources needed to make this show possible.
- 22:52Speaker 2: At the end of the day, it was not possible.
- 22:55Speaker 2: They even bought into streaming TV and bought a Roku channel and some other things to try to lessen the cost in order to get the gospel out, but it was still super expensive.
- 23:09Speaker 2: And I said, and the Lord said, this is what I want you to do.
- 23:12Speaker 2: It wasn't that he necessarily wanted me to do it with them.
- 23:17Speaker 2: Yeah, it was.
- 23:19Speaker 2: That is how the seed was planned And it's like, lord, if they can't do it, how am I going to do it?
- 23:25Speaker 2: How will I be able to do that?
- 23:28Speaker 2: And he told me it's not in your ability, it's in my ability.
- 23:33Speaker 2: Wow, fast forward to now.
- 23:37Speaker 2: I did.
- 23:38Speaker 2: I did try to do some things in my ability, because you know I'm human, right.
- 23:44Speaker 2: I tried to do some things in my ability and I did purchase a Roku TV channel that did not work and it was called Aquitas Toolbox And he could not do what I needed it to do because I did not have the team necessary to make it happen and the distribution necessary to make it happen.
- 24:04Speaker 2: So, through a lovely lady that is actually in the live Miss Lashale Atkins.
- 24:09Speaker 2: I met Lashale on LinkedIn.
- 24:11Speaker 2: Lachelle introduced me to not knowing that I had this thing going on in the background.
- 24:18Speaker 2: She's just being used by God because of the wonderful woman of God that she is.
- 24:22Speaker 2: Wow, and she made the introduction And she did this and we had never met each other in person.
- 24:28Speaker 2: We'd had a couple of Zoom conversations Wow, like when God has something in mind he makes it happen.
- 24:39Speaker 2: She introduced me to the woman of God in Dallas, Texas, who had already the Lord had already used her to build everything necessary.
- 24:47Speaker 2: Amen, Wow.
- 24:49Speaker 2: And through that introduction, a Zoom call.
- 24:52Speaker 2: And this has happened over a year ago.
- 24:54Speaker 2: The journey started in, like I said, 2018 or 2019.
- 24:58Speaker 2: The connection was made through relationship with Zandra and the Zandra Evans and the Zandra TV network.
- 25:05Speaker 2: It became a reality And so now we have Pursuit Purpose TV and the vision is the same to give men and women of God an opportunity to share the gospel, to sharing their stories and being an encouragement to both the believer and the unbeliever that all things are possible.
- 25:28Speaker 2: There's nothing that's impossible, But if you believe in that, if you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, all things are possible to you, And that's what Pursuit Purpose TV is all about.
- 25:39Speaker 2: I have that conversation with my guest on how did the Lord make the impossible a reality in your life and letting them share that with the world.
- 25:53Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah And, as you're saying, share that with the world.
- 25:56Speaker 1: I want to just point out too, it's not just like one channel.
- 26:03Speaker 2: We're talking about streaming TV.
- 26:04Speaker 1: We're actually talking about streaming TV, so we find your content on Apple or whatever.
- 26:14Speaker 2: Amazon Fire TV, apple TV, broku TV.
- 26:19Speaker 2: It's on Comcast, on regular linear TV, regionally Comcast TV.
- 26:25Speaker 2: I mean there's so many different places that my content can be found via the Zandra TV network Over 350 million homes 350 million homes Over 350 million homes Over 350 million homes, those that have partnered with me as guests and those that have partnered with me also to create an advertisement for their business, because there's many ways.
- 26:56Speaker 2: Do you want to partner with Pursuit Purpose TV and have a commercial that is wrapped around my content and more content that's on the Zandra TV network?
- 27:09Speaker 2: That's a way to get your message out to over 350 million households worldwide.
- 27:15Speaker 2: Or do you want to be a guest on the show and still have that go out?
- 27:19Speaker 2: And if you want to be a guest and have a commercial, there's so many ways in that you can partner with Pursuit Purpose TV.
- 27:29Speaker 2: If you're a fellow podcaster and you want to take your podcast to the next level, and you not that I'm telling you to remove your content from social media, because social media is a door, it's an avenue, it's a vehicle, let me say it like that.
- 27:44Speaker 2: It's a vehicle to drive your followers and your ideal clients to a space that you have more control over, whether it's your website or your landing page, or, if you want, your content on TV, then I also have the ability to help podcasters bring their video podcast to streaming TV platforms and to reach over 350 households.
- 28:13Speaker 2: And that's a small estimate, yeah, and I'm like we're saying 350, but we know that small.
- 28:20Speaker 1: But just think of it as a global access.
- 28:25Speaker 1: And another thing that you point out just now is just thinking about it from a business and a brand and a brand strategy perspective.
- 28:32Speaker 1: If you're a, say, you're a small business owner or you're an entrepreneur and you've been at it for a year or so and you're looking for other ways that you can do PR, this is a way that I was just thinking that you could advertise on her, so you don't have to be a guest but you could advertise on her.
- 28:51Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm not getting a kickback.
- 28:53Speaker 1: I'm just telling you, because I know this is my world.
- 28:56Speaker 1: I'm telling you, if you're a small business or entrepreneur, buy a space and get an advertiser stuff because you want to get to that 350 million plus potential clients and get in front of that audience.
- 29:13Speaker 1: So it's a lot more than just that one channel.
- 29:16Speaker 1: But I think again, when you're ready, there are a lot of podcasters that and I've only been podcasting for a year and I cannot believe.
- 29:26Speaker 1: I can't believe.
- 29:28Speaker 1: I wish I'd started sooner.
- 29:30Speaker 1: Some of it was just it wasn't the right time.
- 29:32Speaker 1: But, now that I understand that there's a love of just connecting with people and elevating them right.
- 29:39Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 29:40Speaker 1: And I, you know that passion that we have for helping people.
- 29:42Speaker 1: So I just wanted to throw this out like she's not on here because I'm just trying to sell you on anything.
- 29:47Speaker 1: She's on here because she's credible, she's trustworthy, she's honest.
- 29:51Speaker 1: I trust her, she's got great work, her clients love her and she's blowing up Yanni to get on the gravy chain because I intend to, like I said, i'm trying to position myself beyond this gravy chain, but you know, opportunity comes.
- 30:10Speaker 1: So this I want to ask you really quickly, and I'm going to wrap up a little bit, but I want to ask you because this is something that I think will help a lot of potential.
- 30:18Speaker 1: Maybe, you know, maybe for those women or men who are thinking about going into a business or you know they're thinking about entrepreneurship, it's being able to to see opportunity, cause I think a lot of times people look for opportunity and it has to be buttoned up.
- 30:35Speaker 2: Right Yeah.
- 30:37Speaker 1: You know, and then we, and then we throw out the scripture and we talk about, you know, having a vision, and they think it's a vision board and it takes it, ain't a vision board?
- 30:43Speaker 2: Okay, not a vision board.
- 30:46Speaker 1: So, can you talk about like because you were able to spotlight, you were able to see that opportunity in its infancy and then really build on that.
- 30:56Speaker 1: So now here you are a year later with a you know you're, you got a TV show.
- 31:01Speaker 1: So can you talk a little bit about that?
- 31:05Speaker 2: It's more it's.
- 31:06Speaker 2: We have to enjoy the process.
- 31:12Speaker 2: We have to enjoy the process.
- 31:15Speaker 2: When God gives you a vision, it's not necessarily in the vision board.
- 31:19Speaker 2: He may show you the beginning and he may show you the ending, but that middle part was the part that we have got to walk out And unfortunately it's not without issues.
- 31:30Speaker 2: But just because the issues arise does not mean that you're expected in change, like your destiny and still your destiny.
- 31:40Speaker 2: These are the things that you have to endure, you have to overcome.
- 31:45Speaker 2: They are part of the process to prepare you to be in the place that God called you.
- 31:51Speaker 2: So one of the things that was told to me by one of the engineers this weekend was I was supposed to go and have a multiple day recording And I made a decision last minute due to my guest and myself, my schedule, i needed to just make Saturday the day they didn't end.
- 32:14Speaker 2: I needed to make that one long day And that's something that they normally would have said no to And he came to me about halfway through the day and his name is David.
- 32:28Speaker 2: David said you know what, Laquita?
- 32:30Speaker 2: This has gone phenomenally.
- 32:32Speaker 2: I did not know how this was going to be.
- 32:34Speaker 2: I'm just going to be honest with you.
- 32:35Speaker 2: This isn't something that we normally allow to happen, But this has been exceptional.
- 32:44Speaker 2: Your professionalism and the way that you've handled yourself through this process has been exceptional.
- 32:50Speaker 2: Now, that's no credit to me, y'all.
- 32:52Speaker 2: That's credit to the Lord, because the things that were happening in the middle was I was learning how to be a podcaster.
- 33:00Speaker 2: I was learning how to, because there was no budget.
- 33:04Speaker 2: I was learning how to work the equipment that I needed to have a good podcast.
- 33:10Speaker 2: I was learning how to edit And let me take that back I was learning how to edit.
- 33:15Speaker 2: I was pressuring my son to learn how to edit.
- 33:21Speaker 2: I was learning to work with other videographers and videographers to get short clips that I can use for my intro and outro on my podcast, and then learning how to use StreamYard to do the intro, do the outro.
- 33:39Speaker 2: I was being my own producer behind the scenes on my podcast.
- 33:42Speaker 2: I was learning to have a clock to do the countdown on when I needed to not necessarily pause my podcast because I do have sponsors and also to drop those sponsorship spots.
- 33:56Speaker 2: So, I've spent some time doing those things.
- 33:59Speaker 2: So when the Lord said, okay, now you can go to the studio, it was me just doing what I had learned to do as a podcaster.
- 34:10Speaker 2: But coming over to TV, now there is a big transition.
- 34:14Speaker 2: Don't get me wrong.
- 34:14Speaker 2: There was a lot of things and stuff that took place that I was like wow, but by and large, some of the mechanics of it and being able to endure the day and being able to grasp the concepts really quickly when they were talking to me and say, okay, this is your clock, this is what you do, wow, okay, okay.
- 34:31Speaker 2: So if God had to go through that process, i would have needed more than a day.
- 34:38Speaker 2: I would have needed two, three days to get through it, because I would have had a big learning curve.
- 34:44Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 34:46Speaker 2: And so, whatever God tells you to do the ups, the downs, the in-betweens, the in-the-middles, the thing that don't make sense, you know, when my channel wasn't coming up and I'm doing my podcast and I'm looking at it as a fail, like I keep failing.
- 34:58Speaker 2: Why do I keep failing?
- 34:59Speaker 2: I wasn't failing, i was winning, i was learning, i was learning Dancing Seeds.
- 35:04Speaker 2: Absolutely, Absolutely Every guest that came through.
- 35:07Speaker 2: Whether you a podcast host, you know, sometimes the guests sound good on the free call and then it gets up for the show and you got to pull a Teefer.
- 35:14Speaker 2: You can't have no dead air because why you got this dead air going on and you're like what are we doing?
- 35:19Speaker 1: You know, Right, that is so true.
- 35:26Speaker 2: Like.
- 35:26Speaker 2: These are things that I didn't know.
- 35:28Speaker 2: I was learning, but I was learning, and I had to use some of those skills with some of the guests in season one, but it all came together beautifully.
- 35:39Speaker 2: So it's not.
- 35:40Speaker 2: It's wherever you are in your journey, sis, woman of God, man of God, it's not a fail.
- 35:49Speaker 2: Ask the Lord what am I learning in this process?
- 35:53Speaker 2: There's no failure in God.
- 35:54Speaker 2: There's no failure in anything that we do.
- 35:56Speaker 2: In the midst of the obstacle that you're facing, in the midst of the opposition, there is always an opportunity.
- 36:03Speaker 2: In the midst of every opposition that I faced in this time, there is an opportunity for growth.
- 36:12Speaker 2: Whether it was in this time, i had a misdiagnosis of cancer.
- 36:18Speaker 2: I had to have a couple of procedures on.
- 36:21Speaker 2: I did have to have some surgeries, like in all of this, this is going on.
- 36:27Speaker 2: Life was life-ing And God was still saying you gotta get this done.
- 36:31Speaker 2: I'm like well, do you see how this life is sitting on me On top of my neck?
- 36:34Speaker 2: Like because before we realized it was a misdiagnosis, there was a process that I was going through.
- 36:41Speaker 2: I went in for an appointment and I came back out and got a letter in the mail that says oh, you need to come back in And I'm like what?
- 36:49Speaker 2: That was a Christmas present, Like that was the Christmas present from my doctor to me, like, and the Lord is still saying, well, you're going to do this.
- 36:57Speaker 2: You gotta walk through the process, you gotta walk through this process right Like, and while I'm walking through this process, my husband is walking through a process of his own where the Lord is taking him through some different, taking him through some different career directions as well, and he's still saying do this and, lord, you're gonna have to.
- 37:14Speaker 2: I don't even know what you're gonna have to do.
- 37:16Speaker 1: We're gonna have you come back for another episode, yeah.
- 37:21Speaker 2: But you know it's in the midst of what you're doing.
- 37:25Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 37:26Speaker 2: The kitchen sink.
- 37:27Speaker 2: the neighborhood, the house, your neighbor house, it's coming at you.
- 37:30Speaker 2: Just know that in the midst of that opposition there's an opportunity for growth.
- 37:36Speaker 2: And as you're growing, when you get to your destination, when you get to that desired result, you will be more than ready to excel and shine in it Absolutely.
- 37:50Speaker 1: That's powerful And that's why you look.
- 37:52Speaker 1: It takes time, It is a process.
- 37:54Speaker 1: You're you know all of that And y'all please go back and watch the entire replay.
- 38:00Speaker 1: So before we close this out, i wanna ask you what's that date?
- 38:03Speaker 1: again, what's happening on Sunday?
