- 0:28Good morning from the chicken coop.
- 0:30Today's question. When are you at your best?
- 0:34So stop and pause and think about this because we don't
- 0:37operate at our best all the time.
- 0:39I mean there's just no way that we could constantly one thousand
- 0:43percent of the time. Be a hunch you know at our best
- 0:47it just doesn't doesn't work that way because we're human
- 0:50beings and things fluctuate. Everything fluctuates and it's
- 0:54really important to remember that the fluctuation is real.
- 0:57The fluctuation is not something that.
- 1:00Is, you know, it doesn't make you broken.
- 1:05I have a lot of people that always ask that question.
- 1:07Well, I must be screwed up and I'm like, no, no, no, you're
- 1:10just human. And that's kind of how it works.
- 1:12When you are human, things are back and forth, things are up
- 1:16and down. We a band flow and that's just
- 1:19how our Flow To Nature works. We are part of nature.
- 1:24So the ebb and the flow is part of it, you know, just like
- 1:27seasons and everything else you have times when things are Are
- 1:30on point and you have times when things are not great.
- 1:33It's kind of like, if you sit down and you go to write
- 1:35something, like I was working on something this morning and I was
- 1:39writing and I was like uh, you know, it was before I came out
- 1:42here the chickens and I was trying to decide what I was
- 1:45going to talk to you guys about today and I was like I just
- 1:47don't feel like writing right now and then I stopped and pause
- 1:50and I was like huh this is interesting.
- 1:52I'm not at my best in this moment to write I might be at my
- 1:57best to this moment to watch a movie but I'm certainly not at
- 2:00my Best to write. So I just stopped.
- 2:03And I said, okay, I it's just not, it's not clicking and then
- 2:08the real question comes back to, okay, so when am I my best to
- 2:11write or whatever else you may be doing, I put it to you as a
- 2:15general question. When are you at your best?
- 2:17But I wanted to give you the example so you can see it.
- 2:20Can it can go into specific, very specific things and very
- 2:24different things so that it's it is a Ab like I said an ebb and
- 2:29flow certain things. So am I my best to record you a
- 2:32podcast right now? Absolutely, because it's part of
- 2:35the reason why I do this from here is because when I come out
- 2:37here, I just generally very happy out here.
- 2:42It is awesome with my chickens, I love them.
- 2:45I love their quirky behaviors. I love how they show up and, you
- 2:49know, are kind to each other because lots of times.
- 2:52You hear chickens are not kind to each other but here it's
- 2:56great. And I've created this little
- 2:59World, if you will for them and for me and for my family and
- 3:04it's part of my mental well-being.
- 3:07I know I've told you all that before, but I can tell you, when
- 3:10I come out here, it's like a reset button.
- 3:12It's like a push and it's like instantaneously.
- 3:16I start to feel better when I go and collect their eggs, when I
- 3:19see them doing something or trying snacks, that I gave them,
- 3:22or I create something new in there, all curious about it and
- 3:26I think, wow, it's amazing to me when I How far they've come from
- 3:30the little tiny chicks, you know, in there when we first got
- 3:34them as little tiny chicks and then now that they're the big
- 3:38girls and they're out here and there, they're constantly in
- 3:41motion, always digging. Always looking for things.
- 3:44Always having fun rototilling my Gardens for me.
- 3:48It's it just truly brings me a different level of peace and
- 3:53tranquility and joy. So what I'm trying to express to
- 3:57you in, this is where do you find Find that.
- 3:59Where do you when you're at your best?
- 4:02Where do you find it? How do you go reset to it?
- 4:05What are the things that you know, are your go twos?
- 4:09So some people don't know those go to, they say, well, I just
- 4:12have to shake it off. Yes.
- 4:13But there are things that can bring you there quicker for.
- 4:17I have a, I have a bunch of different little ones.
- 4:19So I know I grew up with a dad who always went to Dunkin Donuts
- 4:24grew up in New England. Dunkin Donuts is New England,
- 4:27right? That is just That is the essence
- 4:30of the whole Dunkin Donuts, World, New England, and my
- 4:35father was constantly going and getting coffee throughout the
- 4:38day and coffee, and a paper cup with a Dunkin Donuts logo, is
- 4:44something special in my world every so often I have to just go
- 4:47to Dunkin Donuts and get a coffee because it reminds me of
- 4:50my dad and it's a total reset. Now coffee and general will do
- 4:54that but I don't go to coffee like that.
- 4:58It's just Just, it's not my thing, but the Dunkin Donuts,
- 5:0110, that's a huge. Reset taking time to sit and
- 5:05color with actual Crayola, crayons a huge reset.
- 5:08For me, if I just pull them out, I have all the fancy pencils.
- 5:11I have everything else and I love using my pencils all the
- 5:14time. But Crayola crayons they have
- 5:18that smell just like Play-Doh, you know, it's an instant reset,
- 5:22it makes your brain, go to a different place and we all have
- 5:26those things we all have, you know.
- 5:28Client who's grandmother's Italian and she'll say every
- 5:32time that I walk in and I smell that Italian sauce you know,
- 5:37cooking or she calls a gravy but it's cooking.
- 5:40It's just like, oh right away. She feels like totally comfort
- 5:44and that's important to us as human beings to be able to do
- 5:48those things. He hit the reset button, find
- 5:51when you're at your best. And then say, okay now I feel
- 5:55good again, centered and then I can go out and do what?
- 5:58I need to do to be my best, but it's don't don't overlook those
- 6:02little things because they're super important.
- 6:05So hopefully you find out when you're your best, you know.
- 6:09It and you know how to get back there by having those little
- 6:12triggers. All right, my friends.
