- 0:19Speaker 2: It is time leave your worries outside and laugh with
- 0:23Speaker 2: us inside the Treehouse. I'm Daniel Malley along with Trey Trenholm,
- 0:28Speaker 2: Raj Sharma and Jerry Caldwell. At the end of what
- 0:33Speaker 2: appears to be Old People Week, inside the Treehouse told
- 0:39Speaker 2: you a story about the world's oldest bus driver, ninety
- 0:42Speaker 2: five year old Raymond Hagar in Wichita Falls, Texas. Then
- 0:48Speaker 2: I believe it was yesterday I told you about the
- 0:52Speaker 2: Grandma's Stand in McKinney. That's where you can talk to
- 0:56Speaker 2: and listen to a sweet old Lady's started in New
- 1:01Speaker 2: York City, And now it seems San Francisco had started
- 1:07Speaker 2: their version because over the weekend, eighty one year old
- 1:15Speaker 2: Babs Ditch competed in a San Francisco lesbian pie eating
- 1:19Speaker 2: contest and one best technique, proving there is no age
- 1:24Speaker 2: limit to good tongue skills. The competition took place at
- 1:31Speaker 2: Ricky Sports Bar to raise money for the Curve Foundations
- 1:34Speaker 2: twenty twenty six Lesbian Visibility Week. I'd say mission accomplished there.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Uh yeah, Ricky's is the only sports bar in the
- 1:43Speaker 2: San Francisco Bay Area dedicated to celebrating women's sports. They
- 1:47Speaker 2: described the contest as an epically sloppy, no hands, no
- 1:51Speaker 2: forks battle for bragging rights had a one hundred dollars
- 1:54Speaker 2: cash prize.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Sounds like a speed dating competition.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Well, it could have started as one thing and finished
- 2:03Speaker 2: as something else, as headshake in there. This is also
- 2:10Speaker 2: a good time to promote our Patreon. Go to patreon
- 2:15Speaker 2: dot com slash treehouse on air and you can see
- 2:17Speaker 2: Babs getting after it.
- 2:19Speaker 3: Oh be Babs.
- 2:21Speaker 2: Yeah, but now that you've seen a lesbian pie eating contest,
- 2:26Speaker 2: do you want to see a gay hot dog eating contest?
- 2:31Speaker 4: I mean, I guess in the interest of fairness, yeah,
- 2:34Speaker 4: I mean at this point.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Well, sorry to disappoint you, because I don't therefore I
- 2:40Speaker 2: didn't google that. Yay. Look this popped up on my
- 2:45Speaker 2: algorithm this morning, and I'm not prepared for any more
- 2:48Speaker 2: Algo shifts. Okay, so I'm not piping in gay hot
- 2:51Speaker 2: dog eating contest into my computer today. Thank you if
- 2:55Speaker 2: you want to be my guest, or if lucky, perhaps
- 3:00Speaker 2: you were Babs guessed at one point over the eight decades,
- 3:05Speaker 2: good on her though, Yeah, rocking it in the move
- 3:11Speaker 2: Boo and the Beret.
- 3:14Speaker 3: Yeah. That the combination is pretty spectacular.
- 3:18Speaker 2: And it's interesting too because you noticed she kept her
- 3:20Speaker 2: eye glasses on, so she wanted to see what she
- 3:22Speaker 2: was doing.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Are those glasses or goggled?
- 3:28Speaker 2: You know what. I'm not sure. Let's see if we
- 3:30Speaker 2: can go back and take a look it kind of
- 3:35Speaker 2: it's tough to tell. I mean, there were she goes
- 3:38Speaker 2: face first into that pie. It looks more like eye glasses.
- 3:42Speaker 2: You know.
- 3:42Speaker 1: She she's a season vet. I mean they probably dual function,
- 3:46Speaker 1: that's true, right.
- 3:48Speaker 3: Yeah, she's definitely a season vet. She's seen war.
- 3:55Speaker 2: She's eating pie in the best of times. She's eating
- 3:58Speaker 2: pie in the worst of times. She's been in a
- 4:02Speaker 2: dust bowl when it was a euphemism.
- 4:07Speaker 1: I don't know what what qualifies as a Subaru classic,
- 4:12Speaker 1: but I bet she drives it invented and I bet
- 4:20Speaker 1: you didn't go home alone.
- 4:21Speaker 2: I bet Oh, yeah, no, definitely not. And the sticker
- 4:25Speaker 2: on the back of that Subaru tray will read I
- 4:28Speaker 2: can even make a dust bowl wet or just simply
- 4:33Speaker 2: lesbian pie Eating Champion twenty twenty five, sim Francisco, So it.
- 4:39Speaker 1: Might be one of those that has you know, twenty
- 4:40Speaker 1: stickers that it goes back to nineteen eighty eight.
- 4:46Speaker 2: A fine year, a fire, very fine year. Like I guess,
- 4:53Speaker 2: I guess it was because of the other stories I
- 4:55Speaker 2: saw this week, the ninety five year old bus driver,
- 4:58Speaker 2: the actual grandma stands and McKinney that you know social
- 5:02Speaker 2: media algorithm said, you know what Dan needs to see today.
- 5:05Speaker 2: He needs to see this old lady getting after a pie.
- 5:08Speaker 2: And you know what, it wasn't wrong, which.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Brandy told me. She goes, well, you're like my grandma
- 5:17Speaker 1: stand You know, I come to you and I need
- 5:19Speaker 1: something to explain.
- 5:21Speaker 3: Thanks.
- 5:22Speaker 2: Wow, just when you thought dating a younger woman was
- 5:26Speaker 2: gonna be fun. Uh huh, she stabs you right in
- 5:29Speaker 2: your old ass heart. On the other hand, trap, you
- 5:33Speaker 2: could lean into that and you can have a daddy stand,
- 5:41Speaker 2: except there will be no talking. That had to hurt
- 5:48Speaker 2: when she said that, though.
- 5:51Speaker 1: You know, she meant it in a nice way, and
- 5:54Speaker 1: it was just the way it came out there. It was, Yeah,
- 5:57Speaker 1: it's stung a little bit. Then I found it amusing.
- 6:00Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm glad you can find it amusing. But it's
- 6:02Speaker 2: interesting how when young people pay an older person a compliment.
- 6:05Speaker 2: It hurts first because they don't realize it's like they
- 6:09Speaker 2: just genuinely think they're offering up a compliment. Problem is
- 6:14Speaker 2: they're not on the receiving side of it, so they
- 6:15Speaker 2: don't realize that it's sweet. But it also stings a bit.
- 6:20Speaker 2: What was she asking you about that she needed to
- 6:22Speaker 2: go to your stand and ask for clarification or information
- 6:25Speaker 2: on the past?
- 6:30Speaker 3: I don't remember what the question.
- 6:31Speaker 2: Was, classic old man maneuver.
- 6:34Speaker 3: Yeah, Trey just fell asleep midway through, woke up and
- 6:42Speaker 3: just screamed, get off my lawn.
- 6:44Speaker 2: It was something about the Cold War and that's ah,
- 6:49Speaker 2: did you tell her? It was the best?
- 6:51Speaker 3: It was?
- 6:51Speaker 2: The The Cold War was the best inspiration Hollywood has
- 6:55Speaker 2: ever had because we got some of our finest films
- 6:57Speaker 2: out of the Cold War. In music and music, Yeah,
- 7:01Speaker 2: I mean tons of great stuff. Like don't get me wrong.
- 7:05Speaker 2: The post nine to eleven era was also good for
- 7:08Speaker 2: Hollywood because for a while there, Hollywood didn't know who
- 7:11Speaker 2: the new bad guys were. The Cold War was over
- 7:14Speaker 2: and then it's kind of shifting stuff and it was
- 7:16Speaker 2: kind of lost, and then nine to eleven happens and
- 7:19Speaker 2: you got a little bit of terrorist stuff in there
- 7:21Speaker 2: before nine to eleven. But after nine eleven, then Hollywood's like,
- 7:24Speaker 2: now we got our bad guys for every show, every everything,
- 7:28Speaker 2: and we're still in that era.
- 7:33Speaker 3: Oh yeah, trust me. I would get you know, go
- 7:35Speaker 3: to these auditions and you know there's fifty people in
- 7:40Speaker 3: there that looked just like each other.
- 7:42Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:42Speaker 3: I was like, no, I can't. And so I remember
- 7:45Speaker 3: telling Fern, who's the vice president casting for CBS. I
- 7:50Speaker 3: was like, no cab drivers, no terrorists, and she's just like, well,
- 7:55Speaker 3: then you're not gonna work. And I was like, okay
- 7:58Speaker 3: with that.
- 8:00Speaker 2: It's okay to have standards. Yeah, it really is. It's
- 8:03Speaker 2: okay to be like, you know what, I don't want
- 8:05Speaker 2: to I don't want to only portray a stereotype.
- 8:09Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:09Speaker 2: I would look at it as I guess it kind
- 8:11Speaker 2: of depends on you know, uh, if you need to
- 8:13Speaker 2: pay bills and or well, let me at least look
- 8:16Speaker 2: at the script. Yeah.
- 8:20Speaker 3: No, I just couldn't do it. I remember I turned
- 8:25Speaker 3: down one audition for it's called Taxi twenty Taxi twenty
- 8:31Speaker 3: one or some Taxi twenty two something length, and I
- 8:34Speaker 3: just was like, I can't go I'm not going to
- 8:36Speaker 3: be And this was playing a like devout Muslim cab driver,
- 8:42Speaker 3: like the whole garb, and I was like, Nope, I'm
- 8:46Speaker 3: not going. And I get a call from Fern and
- 8:48Speaker 3: she's like, you're the owner of the cab company. I
- 8:50Speaker 3: was like, I'll see it at the audition.
- 8:53Speaker 2: As long as I'm in management. Because because because it
- 8:59Speaker 2: does make sense if you were to say, as you did,
- 9:02Speaker 2: you told the head of CBS, no cab drivers, no terrorists.
- 9:05Speaker 2: I'm not playing those roles. But what if she came
- 9:07Speaker 2: to you with a doctor a medical drama, because it's
- 9:10Speaker 2: also very stereotypical Indians in the medical field, would you
- 9:13Speaker 2: have turned that down because it was stereotypical.
- 9:16Speaker 3: No, but also keep in mind that's brand new, like
- 9:20Speaker 3: Er was on for fourteen fifteen years before they had
- 9:24Speaker 3: an Indian doctor. Yeah, and I would watch I love
- 9:27Speaker 3: the show, and I would watch it. I'm like, I
- 9:29Speaker 3: just don't trust that hospital. Yeah, like there's not one
- 9:32Speaker 3: Indian doctor in that place.
- 9:34Speaker 2: I'm not going. Eventually they did. Eventually they did, but
- 9:37Speaker 2: it took a few seasons.
- 9:39Speaker 3: Yeah, and they brought in perminder nagra from Bend Atle
- 9:42Speaker 3: like Backham yep, and that was the only one. And
- 9:46Speaker 3: then now you turn on like you go to the show.
- 9:50Speaker 3: I don't know if you guys watched the pit. No,
- 9:53Speaker 3: it's really good, that's what I've heard. And there's a few.
- 9:57Speaker 3: There's a few Indian doctors and that one one's a
- 9:59Speaker 3: female resident. That's pretty cool. So no, I would tend
- 10:03Speaker 3: I mean stuff like that, like scientist doctor.
- 10:07Speaker 2: So it's okay if the stereotype is prestigious, Yes, got it.
- 10:14Speaker 2: So if CBS comes calling with doctor Sharma new from
- 10:19Speaker 2: CBS Wednesday nights at nine, Healing Hearts and Racist Minds,
- 10:25Speaker 2: Oh yeah, every week, every week, every Wednesday at nine,
- 10:29Speaker 2: you'd be on board with that one.
- 10:31Speaker 3: Uh huh.
- 10:32Speaker 2: The way you can act like your parents are proud
- 10:34Speaker 2: of you.
- 10:34Speaker 3: Yep. I just want to be able to say, you know,
- 10:42Speaker 3: not a doctor, but I play one on TV. Let's
- 10:45Speaker 3: just be able to say that line and mean it.
- 10:49Speaker 2: And ironically it'll pay more.
- 10:51Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:01Speaker 2: This is.
- 11:03Speaker 3: Are dot com.
- 11:05Speaker 2: Eight three three Cook df W is the phone number
- 11:07Speaker 2: to get your free roof inspection and property reviews scheduled
- 11:12Speaker 2: with Daniel Cook eight three three Cook at DFW. The
- 11:15Speaker 2: website cookdfw dot com. We talked on a recent episode
- 11:19Speaker 2: Daniel on My Television. It suggested to me I should
- 11:22Speaker 2: watch the film Christmas Twister. I will say, based on
- 11:26Speaker 2: the artwork, I was very intrigued. But after watching the trailer,
- 11:33Speaker 2: man that is I can That's as much as I
- 11:38Speaker 2: can say. I mean that is, that is some terrible performances,
- 11:42Speaker 2: and those are the ones that they put in the trailer.
- 11:45Speaker 5: Well, Dan, that's scary because if you which we all
- 11:49Speaker 5: know who listened to the show, you will give a
- 11:52Speaker 5: lot of leniency toward bad movies. So if you're the
- 11:55Speaker 5: one that's saying, WHOA, this is going to be awful,
- 12:00Speaker 5: I'm really scared. I have not heard of that movie
- 12:02Speaker 5: at all. But if I'm gonna trust that, if you're
- 12:04Speaker 5: the one saying that, I'm definitely not gonna go look
- 12:06Speaker 5: it up.
- 12:07Speaker 2: I'll send you a link to the trailer. If you're
- 12:10Speaker 2: a fan of Starship Troopers, I think I just said
- 12:13Speaker 2: Starship Troopers. Starship Troopers like Starship Troopers. This film, Christmas
- 12:19Speaker 2: Twister also stars Casper Van Dean.
- 12:22Speaker 3: I am not a Starship Trooper fan.
- 12:24Speaker 5: That movie was so ridiculous I can hardly get through it.
- 12:28Speaker 5: I kind of got mad at myself that I stood
- 12:29Speaker 5: there and waited and watched it.
- 12:32Speaker 2: I think that's part of the reason. There was just
- 12:33Speaker 2: something about it at the time, and I'm like, why
- 12:35Speaker 2: do I love this movie? It's just dumb and dumb,
- 12:43Speaker 2: and it's one of those that it's kind of it's
- 12:46Speaker 2: kind of morphed into a comedy. So like, if I
- 12:48Speaker 2: watch it now, it's hysterical, especially when Neil Patrick Harris's
- 12:53Speaker 2: character comes on for those little commercials. It's like, as
- 12:56Speaker 2: they're torturing this alien life for him, but like want
- 12:58Speaker 2: to know.
- 12:59Speaker 3: More, Come on, come join us.
- 13:03Speaker 2: Yes, uh well, speaking of come join us, come join

- 13:44Speaker 2: This segment of the Treehouse is brought to you by
- 13:46Speaker 2: Cook DFW Roofing and Restoration. To get your free roof
- 13:50Speaker 2: inspection and property review. No one else offers that as
- 13:53Speaker 2: far as we know, call eight three three cook DFW.
- 13:57Speaker 2: That's eight three three cook DFW or the website cookdfw
- 14:01Speaker 2: dot com. Turns out Jerry was the one brave enough,
- 14:06Speaker 2: brave enough to search for gay hot dog eating contest
- 14:10Speaker 2: and nothing came up. Jerry, Uh, nothing, legit came up. Well,
- 14:18Speaker 2: just sit back and wait. I'm sure you'll get an
- 14:20Speaker 2: invitation in no time.
- 14:24Speaker 4: Apparently, Joey Chestnut is still the winner of the Nathans
- 14:28Speaker 4: record holder of the Nathan's hot Dog eating contest at
- 14:32Speaker 4: seventy six hot dogs, which is about the equivalent of
- 14:35Speaker 4: sixteen pounds of wiener.
- 14:39Speaker 2: He'd be popular at Hunky's.
- 14:43Speaker 3: I just don't know how that happened. How they do that?
- 14:46Speaker 3: The competitive eating is it just how do they stretch
- 14:49Speaker 3: their stomach out to do something like that?
- 14:52Speaker 2: One I believe it's practice. And two they don't eat
- 14:56Speaker 2: the hot dogs in a normal way that we all
- 14:58Speaker 2: eat a hot dog. You know, you got you know,
- 15:01Speaker 2: the wiener in the bun and then your toppings and stuff. Well,
- 15:03Speaker 2: the first of all, they have no topics on it.
- 15:05Speaker 2: And what they do is they eat the wieners separately
- 15:08Speaker 2: from the bread, and the bread they soak in water
- 15:11Speaker 2: so they can just swallow it. Mm hmm.
- 15:14Speaker 3: Yeah, but still seventy two hot dogs has or seventy
- 15:17Speaker 3: seven hot dogs whatever it is, has to take up
- 15:19Speaker 3: a tremendous amount of space in your stomach. So I
- 15:23Speaker 3: don't know how they.
- 15:25Speaker 2: That's why you're not allowed. That's why you're not allowed
- 15:27Speaker 2: to poke any of them in the belly after the competition. Right,
- 15:32Speaker 2: It's like.
- 15:32Speaker 1: They they they practice like they have a whole training
- 15:36Speaker 1: regiment that they go through.
- 15:38Speaker 2: It sounds stupid because it is, but it's real. They
- 15:43Speaker 2: have an absolute regiment when it comes to that.
- 15:46Speaker 1: I saw some video some guy and this was the
- 15:49Speaker 1: second fastest time, Like he did like that old seventy
- 15:53Speaker 1: six er from that steakhouse in Amarilla.
- 15:56Speaker 2: Seventy two ounce, yeah, the Big ex and Steak ranch
- 16:01Speaker 2: in Amarillo.
- 16:02Speaker 1: Yeah, which it's not only the steak, but it's like
- 16:04Speaker 1: a baked potato and some other things solid. Yeah, he
- 16:07Speaker 1: finished it all in six minutes and twenty three seconds
- 16:09Speaker 1: And that was the second fastest time ever.
- 16:12Speaker 2: Holy shit. Yeah. The first fastest was a lady in
- 16:15Speaker 2: twenty fifteen. I think she knocked it out in like
- 16:18Speaker 2: five something minutes. I mean, it's it's insane what people
- 16:21Speaker 2: are able to do if they really set their mind
- 16:23Speaker 2: to it. Speaking of which, it is great to have dreams,
- 16:31Speaker 2: but you also need a plan. Okay, case in point
- 16:35Speaker 2: a wanna be lion tamer was killed by a lion. Again,
- 16:43Speaker 2: great to have dreams, that you need to have a plan.
- 16:47Speaker 2: You can't just jump into a lion enclosure in Brazil
- 16:51Speaker 2: and think you automatically know how to tame lions without
- 16:55Speaker 2: any sort of tools. But that's exactly what this guy did.
- 17:00Speaker 2: Year old man was mauled to death after climbing into
- 17:02Speaker 2: a lion enclosure Sunday morning in Brazil. Viral video capture
- 17:07Speaker 2: the incident. No, I don't have it, and I didn't
- 17:08Speaker 2: look for it. Showed the victims scaling a roughly twenty
- 17:12Speaker 2: six foot tall fence to enter the lioness's enclosure at
- 17:16Speaker 2: Aruda Kamara Zubatentacal Park.
- 17:18Speaker 1: You really did see the video?
- 17:20Speaker 2: I assume it was just him climbing into the enclosure
- 17:23Speaker 2: and then I'm sure social media police, you know, turn
- 17:27Speaker 2: it off or make it go dark before the before
- 17:29Speaker 2: the lioness grabs him by the mouth, which is what
- 17:31Speaker 2: I heard.
- 17:31Speaker 1: She did it's blurred, but what he does is he
- 17:35Speaker 1: hops on a fence, then he jumps onto a tree
- 17:39Speaker 1: and then shimmies down the tree to get into the enclosure.
- 17:44Speaker 2: So he learned to break into this lion enclosure by
- 17:46Speaker 2: watching looney tunes.
- 17:48Speaker 1: This was not his first time. From what I read,
- 17:51Speaker 1: h that that he he was delusional and thought he
- 17:55Speaker 1: had a connection with the lions, and uh was well,
- 18:00Speaker 1: the zoo knew he was crazy. He wouldn't hire him.
- 18:02Speaker 1: M But you know sometimes they say, like bartending, you
- 18:06Speaker 1: don't know if you can really do it till you
- 18:08Speaker 1: get behind the bar.
- 18:12Speaker 2: And you just throw yourself to the lions. Ye no, oh,
- 18:17Speaker 2: you're not wrong about that. But I will say it
- 18:20Speaker 2: turns out he did have a connection to those lions.
- 18:22Speaker 2: I mean it was more like them to him. But
- 18:24Speaker 2: still I don't know if that same affection he had
- 18:30Speaker 2: in his heart was shared with the lions unless they
- 18:33Speaker 2: ate the heart as well. But his name was Gerson
- 18:36Speaker 2: Demelo Machado. He had long aspired to be a lion tamer.
- 18:40Speaker 2: Turns out he was not. He reportedly did have mental
- 18:44Speaker 2: health issues and had been diagnosed with schizophrenia. The zoo
- 18:49Speaker 2: confirmed in a statement that the individual deliberately entered the enclosure,
- 18:53Speaker 2: was attacked by the animal and did not survive his injuries. So,
- 18:58Speaker 2: knowing what we now know about this story, and from
- 19:01Speaker 2: what Trey told us about how this guy was a
- 19:03Speaker 2: repeat offender, he had attempted to and had actually jumped
- 19:08Speaker 2: into the line enclosure previously, shouldn't zoos have security on
- 19:14Speaker 2: site to tranquilize the guests and the animals as needed.
- 19:20Speaker 2: You would think, yeah, I mean.
- 19:23Speaker 1: I would say probably most American zoos have something on hand.
- 19:28Speaker 1: But this is Brazil.
- 19:30Speaker 2: I'm Brazil's not exactly you know. I mean, it's not
- 19:38Speaker 2: a third world country. They have money, they have capabilities,
- 19:41Speaker 2: They have a zoo. It has an enclosure. It's not
- 19:43Speaker 2: like just a walk about part Afghanistan had a zoo
- 19:46Speaker 2: Dan Okay, look that's different. I believe theirs was zoo.
- 19:52Speaker 1: In quotations, I mean, I feel confident like most American
- 20:02Speaker 1: zoos you would not be able to pull off what
- 20:05Speaker 1: this guy did. They and maybe maybe we're just ahead
- 20:12Speaker 1: of this of all the other zoos in idiot prevention.
- 20:17Speaker 2: You know what, I think that's it, That's exactly right,
- 20:19Speaker 2: because in America, we know that we have to make
- 20:22Speaker 2: the enclosure not just safe from the lions jumping out
- 20:25Speaker 2: into the guests, but being enough room from where the
- 20:29Speaker 2: guests stand to trees and things to launch themselves into
- 20:35Speaker 2: the enclosure. You're right, we've, idiot proved it going both ways.
- 20:38Speaker 2: Brazil only did it the one way, and now that
- 20:41Speaker 2: dude paid the price, I mean.
- 20:42Speaker 1: And we had an advantage. We have white women here
- 20:44Speaker 1: that that we have, you know, just study them and
- 20:47Speaker 1: know how to, you know, keep them out of enclosures,
- 20:49Speaker 1: and then you're pretty much safe because they will go
- 20:50Speaker 1: to any means you know necessary to pet the death.
- 20:54Speaker 2: Kiddie. Absolutely, you keep an eye. You keep an eye
- 20:57Speaker 2: on Keeley and Kylie. You see what they do, and
- 21:00Speaker 2: then you just you know, make the appropriate adjustments in
- 21:03Speaker 2: their wake.
- 21:05Speaker 3: Also, doesn't the Dallas zoos serve beer and wine and liquor.
- 21:09Speaker 2: I don't know about liquor.
- 21:10Speaker 1: I know beer and wine.
- 21:12Speaker 3: Yeah, And also I want to keep them from getting
- 21:14Speaker 3: sauced and then and then deciding at that moment like
- 21:18Speaker 3: I'm gonna be a lion tamer as well.
- 21:20Speaker 4: I'm just gonna jump off the mono rail in the
- 21:22Speaker 4: wilds of Africa.
- 21:24Speaker 2: I can I can do it.
- 21:26Speaker 3: I'm gonna peditor out.
- 21:30Speaker 4: Are left kids? We have a free roaming primate stupidest spiral.
- 21:38Speaker 4: Uh so, yes, Stray, I think you're right.
- 21:42Speaker 2: I think the US has idiot proved to a higher
- 21:45Speaker 2: standard than the rest of the world. On the other hand,
- 21:48Speaker 2: maybe the rest of the world doesn't want to idiot
- 21:50Speaker 2: proof because they're like, you know what, you want to
- 21:52Speaker 2: go to an American zoo, you can't get close to
- 21:54Speaker 2: these animals at all. You come to our zoo in
- 21:56Speaker 2: the second or third world country, you might have a chance.
- 22:00Speaker 4: And for everyone else it's like, hey, we didn't charge
- 22:02Speaker 4: any extra for that show.
- 22:04Speaker 2: M hm. That's also true speaking of shows and wild animals.
- 22:09Speaker 2: So it's apparently old People and Animals week here inside
- 22:14Speaker 2: the Treehouse and this one is an immediate classic of
- 22:18Speaker 2: a Virginia liquor store had an unusual guest over the weekend.
- 22:23Speaker 2: A drunk raccoon was found passed out in the bathroom.
- 22:31Speaker 2: Oh beautiful. According to the Hanover County Animal Protection and
- 22:36Speaker 2: Shelter authorities, found the masked bandit collapsed face down in
- 22:40Speaker 2: the bathroom of the Ashland ABC store on Saturday morning,
- 22:44Speaker 2: where the furry burglar had apparently gotten so White Girl
- 22:47Speaker 2: wasted it, ransacked the bottom shelves, and drank multiple types
- 22:51Speaker 2: of alcohol. In a social media post, officials said they
- 22:56Speaker 2: took the very intoxicated raccoon back to the shelter to
- 22:59Speaker 2: sober up before releasing him back into the wild. I
- 23:04Speaker 2: think that maybe what they should have done was to
- 23:07Speaker 2: turn the raccoon over to tray to immediately take to
- 23:10Speaker 2: an AA meeting. According to the authorities, after a few
- 23:17Speaker 2: hours of sleep and zero signs of injury other than
- 23:20Speaker 2: maybe a hangover in poor life choices, the raccoon was
- 23:23Speaker 2: safely released back to the wild, hopefully having learned that
- 23:26Speaker 2: breaking and entering is not the answer. Usually, the Hanover
- 23:31Speaker 2: County Animal Production and Shelter helps rescued animals if they're
- 23:34Speaker 2: found in the wild. This case was a little different,
- 23:37Speaker 2: but the mission remained the same.
- 23:41Speaker 1: And have a hell of a story for his buddies.
- 23:43Speaker 2: Yes, that's right, I found the magical land of liquor boys.
- 23:47Speaker 2: Let me tell you all about it. And now let
- 23:52Speaker 2: me ask you guys this. Let's say you work at
- 23:55Speaker 2: this liquor store. You walk into the bathroom on Saturday
- 23:57Speaker 2: morning to give it a clean before opening up the
- 23:59Speaker 2: door to the public and you come across a face
- 24:03Speaker 2: down raccoon next to the toilet. What do you do?
- 24:11Speaker 4: Miserate a little bit. I've been there, buddy, Just shut
- 24:14Speaker 4: the door, given out a murder sign.
- 24:20Speaker 3: Yeah, I just turn off a light and leave then,
- 24:24Speaker 3: because an't they don't they carry brabies, is right.
- 24:27Speaker 2: I don't think they carry it innately, but they you know,
- 24:31Speaker 2: it is sometimes possible for them to get rabies and
- 24:34Speaker 2: go a little crazy. In this case, I don't think
- 24:37Speaker 2: this one was foaming at the mouth. I think it
- 24:39Speaker 2: was just you know, frothing.
- 24:41Speaker 3: Yeah, he drink, he'd drink the rabies away.
- 24:45Speaker 2: Maybe that's what it was. He had rabies and he
- 24:47Speaker 2: got into the bottom shelf liquor and just whiskeyed it away.
- 24:51Speaker 3: Yeah, that's that's how you beat uh rabies in the
- 24:56Speaker 3: animal world. You just get hammered. Yeah, and hope it
- 25:02Speaker 3: goes away.
- 25:03Speaker 2: Right, Like that's in the pamphlet they hand out rabies
- 25:08Speaker 2: in you an unexpected journey that ends at the liquor store,
- 25:13Speaker 2: face down in the bathroom. It's good and convenience.
- 25:20Speaker 4: He didn't have to wait for the per simons to
- 25:21Speaker 4: fall off the tree and start you know, fermenting.
- 25:26Speaker 2: Yeah, this this that actually reminds me of I can
- 25:29Speaker 2: never remember the island, but it's an island somewhere that's
- 25:31Speaker 2: full of monkeys and they drink, they steal alcohol, and
- 25:36Speaker 2: they eat fermented fruits like crazy. They're just crazy, crazy
- 25:40Speaker 2: drunk monkeys. And I think they smell.
- 25:45Speaker 3: Yeah, that's gonna be somewhere like Southeast Asia. That's what
- 25:49Speaker 3: that sounds like.
- 25:51Speaker 4: Yeah, that's that's not rock Wall. I mean no, no,
- 25:59Speaker 4: you mean what maybe not every night?
- 26:05Speaker 2: It just depends on what you're doing. Yeah, yeah, I
- 26:10Speaker 2: guess the real question there would be if you work
- 26:11Speaker 2: at that liquor store where you open the door and
- 26:13Speaker 2: see the raccoon face down, you know, next to the toilet,
- 26:15Speaker 2: is does he have a friend that's human next to him,
- 26:18Speaker 2: also face down holding his fur back?
- 26:25Speaker 1: Saint Kitts.
- 26:27Speaker 2: That's where it is, really it is in the Caribbean.
- 26:32Speaker 2: You just gave me a whole new island to go explore.
- 26:35Speaker 2: That's not that far away from where I live.
- 26:38Speaker 3: Yeah, but that they can also rip your face off,
- 26:42Speaker 3: So now alcohol.
- 26:45Speaker 2: I think they don't give him fireball and don't give
- 26:50Speaker 2: him Jaeger. I feel mostly safe about it. If you
- 26:52Speaker 2: just give him like like beechy cocktails, give him a
- 26:55Speaker 2: nice rum punch. I don't think they'll have the fighting
- 26:57Speaker 2: gena turned on.
- 26:59Speaker 3: Yeah, rum punch.
- 27:00Speaker 1: You These are the small ones that, uh, I think
- 27:05Speaker 1: the vervet monkeys something like that.
- 27:07Speaker 2: Okay, so the non face rippers, yeah, they're just they're
- 27:13Speaker 2: just here for the party. How the Saint Kit's not
- 27:19Speaker 2: made that part of their tourism campaign, right, Just drunk
- 27:23Speaker 2: monkeys screaming I'm here for the party, me too, Just
- 27:27Speaker 2: a four page pamphlet. Drunk monkeys, drunk monkeys, drunk monkeys.
- 27:32Speaker 2: I mean, is it. I think it's the Bahamas that
- 27:33Speaker 2: have the the feral pigs on the island and they're
- 27:36Speaker 2: actually kind of crazy, like they'll eat some stuff. But
- 27:39Speaker 2: you know, drunk monkeys on Saint Kits, I mean, that's
- 27:41Speaker 2: that'll that'll bring in tourists. Yeah, I mean just imagine, yeah,
- 27:47Speaker 2: imagine being at a swim at bar and that the
- 27:49Speaker 2: dude next to you, it's just a full on monkey.
- 27:57Speaker 3: Saint Kits. Come for the weather, stay for the drunk monkeys.
- 28:00Speaker 3: See it sells itself, it does. I'm never going, but
- 28:06Speaker 3: you guys have fun.
- 28:09Speaker 1: Yeah, I just have a monkey with a Pina colada
- 28:13Speaker 1: and a cigarette. Hey yeah, here for a good time,
- 28:14Speaker 1: not a long time.
- 28:16Speaker 2: That's right.

- 29:16Speaker 2: I felt there near the end. Thank you, Jerry, appreciate that.
- 29:20Speaker 2: If it is Thursday, Happy Thursday to you. If it
- 29:22Speaker 2: is your Friday that you're listening to the show, Happy
- 29:25Speaker 2: Ford Day Inside the Treehouse. Two massive stories that we
- 29:30Speaker 2: need to touch on before we close up the Treehouse
- 29:33Speaker 2: for this week. The first of which is this a
- 29:40Speaker 2: sport Bank influencer is dead at the age of twenty five,
- 29:45Speaker 2: killed after running into a truck. You know the saying
- 29:53Speaker 2: at least they died doing what they love. I feel
- 29:57Speaker 2: like the reason why you do the thing saying that
- 30:00Speaker 2: you love is because it doesn't kill you, and the
- 30:03Speaker 2: moment that it does kill you, I feel like the
- 30:06Speaker 2: love affairs should be over. That's just what I think
- 30:09Speaker 2: it is. It is, yeah, but I mean as I mean,
- 30:14Speaker 2: as the truck is going through your body and eventually
- 30:19Speaker 2: gets to the heart, I imagine you're not going to
- 30:22Speaker 2: have the love for the sport biking that you once did. Again.
- 30:27Speaker 2: That's just me, though. Karen Sophia Kiros Ramirez, a popular
- 30:32Speaker 2: influencer known for posting motorcycle related content, has died. The star,
- 30:37Speaker 2: also known as bike Girl Online, lost control of her
- 30:40Speaker 2: motorcycle and ran into a truck in Columbia on Wednesday.
- 30:46Speaker 2: After colliding with the trunk, she was then run over
- 30:48Speaker 2: by another truck. This is sorry, come on the most like.
- 30:57Speaker 2: According to a transportation official, the most likely hypothesis for
- 31:02Speaker 2: the accident is that the motorcyclist was traveling between two
- 31:05Speaker 2: vehicles and act more commonly referred to as lane splitting.
- 31:10Speaker 2: The official also told an investigation into her death is underway,
- 31:15Speaker 2: although I imagine it won't take very long. So just
- 31:21Speaker 2: keep that in mind with whatever hobby you have is
- 31:25Speaker 2: just you know, if it has a deadly element to it,
- 31:30Speaker 2: maybe don't do it. Be careful, or don't do the
- 31:35Speaker 2: stupid side of it. Because the lane splitting thing, I've
- 31:38Speaker 2: seen a lot. I've seen a lot of that, and
- 31:40Speaker 2: I see that a lot of where I live, and
- 31:43Speaker 2: I wonder, I don't know how you guys don't eat
- 31:45Speaker 2: more trucks, but and when and when someone does, By
- 31:49Speaker 2: the way, like we've seen this in the like the
- 31:51Speaker 2: DFW motorcycle community where they do the stunting and they'll
- 31:54Speaker 2: shut down the freeways and inevitably one of them gets
- 31:57Speaker 2: hurt and or dies. They all have a big motorcycle
- 32:01Speaker 2: uh you know, rally on the middle of a freeway
- 32:04Speaker 2: where they stop trafficking stunt in memory of the person
- 32:07Speaker 2: that died doing that exact thing. I'm not saying you're
- 32:12Speaker 2: asking for it. I'm just saying, maybe find a different
- 32:14Speaker 2: way to you know, celebrate your sport or to live
- 32:19Speaker 2: life on the edge.
- 32:20Speaker 3: Yeah, like a stupid In California, lane splitting is legal,
- 32:24Speaker 3: Like you can like they encourage it because of how
- 32:27Speaker 3: conjust to traffic is.
- 32:29Speaker 2: Yeah, that's right. I remember going to California before, and
- 32:31Speaker 2: that was a legal thing where they're allowed to do it,
- 32:34Speaker 2: and in Texas it's not right, right, Yeah, in Texas
- 32:39Speaker 2: you might catch a door, and and in Texas, if
- 32:46Speaker 2: you catch a door, it's your fault. In California, if
- 32:49Speaker 2: you catch a door, then it's probably the other driver's fault.
- 32:51Speaker 2: But Texas lives by a different code than California. Yeah,
- 32:56Speaker 2: and then finally, go ahead, rush.
- 32:58Speaker 3: I was just say because if you didn't let them
- 33:01Speaker 3: split lanes and they just had to follow normal traffic
- 33:03Speaker 3: law mid the the backup would be insane, would it?
- 33:09Speaker 3: Mm hmm? There's so many motorcycles, I mean.
- 33:13Speaker 2: I guess I guess there aren't is I guess there
- 33:15Speaker 2: aren't as many traffic or motorcycle related deaths on the
- 33:19Speaker 2: freeways in California. So they they guess it's okay, or
- 33:22Speaker 2: it's at least worth it from a statistical standpoint. It
- 33:25Speaker 2: just doesn't seem worth it to me from a safety
- 33:27Speaker 2: standpoint versus a traffic standpoint, to have lanes splitting be legal.
- 33:34Speaker 2: I mean, the cars aren't really moving in California, right,
- 33:37Speaker 2: I mean.
- 33:39Speaker 3: I mean during I mean like during your rush hour,
- 33:42Speaker 3: like the morning rush hour, afternoon rush hour, but like
- 33:44Speaker 3: during the day, it's pretty pretty decent, but not.
- 33:50Speaker 2: When traffic is stopped. If I'm a motorcyclist going between lanes,
- 33:53Speaker 2: That's when I'd be most worried, because what if someone's
- 33:56Speaker 2: been sitting in that car for forty five minutes, an hour,
- 33:59Speaker 2: two hours, three hours, and right as I'm going by
- 34:02Speaker 2: is when they decide to get out of the car
- 34:04Speaker 2: and go take a leak on the side of the road.
- 34:06Speaker 2: And that's when I eat their door. It's fair and
- 34:13Speaker 2: then and then finally tray. This one's for you if
- 34:19Speaker 2: you have a complicated relationship with your mother. Here is
- 34:23Speaker 2: a new idea. A man donated his mom's body to science,
- 34:28Speaker 2: but the military used it for an explosion test. Trey
- 34:38Speaker 2: is now thinking about and fantasizing about all the possibilities
- 34:42Speaker 2: of what to do with his mom when she passes.
- 34:46Speaker 3: Oh oh, she has to pass first.
- 34:52Speaker 2: That changes things a bit. Yeah, for it to be legal. Yes,
