- 0:00Speaker 1: This is Kiss Breakfast.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Dua Lipa married Callum Turner back in June. They got
- 0:05Speaker 2: married in, well, first London and then Sicily. And she
- 0:09Speaker 2: was chatting to Vogue in this new interview and she
- 0:11Speaker 2: said that she got so much advice in the lead
- 0:14Speaker 2: up to her wedding, but there were actually two suggestions
- 0:16Speaker 2: that helped make their day magical.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Those two were.
- 0:20Speaker 2: To show up at their wedding like they were the
- 0:23Speaker 2: guests as opposed to the couple getting married because that
- 0:26Speaker 2: way they had fun and weren't stressed about the day
- 0:29Speaker 2: going perfectly. So they treated their own wedding like they
- 0:32Speaker 2: were just rocking up to it.
- 0:33Speaker 3: Shouldn't you just have someone else in charge the whole day?
- 0:36Speaker 2: Well, when you're that rich, yeah. Marriage planner, wedding planner. Yeah,
- 0:40Speaker 2: like you have so many assistants and stuff. But most
- 0:42Speaker 2: people are pulling all the details together together. And on
- 0:45Speaker 2: the day, you can hand it to someone or let
- 0:47Speaker 2: them know, like, can you take this job and this job?
- 0:49Speaker 1: But effectively, you're.
- 0:50Speaker 2: Still your own wedding planner and you're the one that
- 0:51Speaker 2: knows who's supposed to be here at what time and
- 0:54Speaker 2: things like that.
- 0:54Speaker 3: And you can't just relax and enjoy it.
- 0:56Speaker 1: Yes, it's one of the many things that turn me
- 0:58Speaker 1: off at a big wedding.
- 0:58Speaker 3: Even at a party, like when you host a party.
- 1:00Speaker 1: Oh, I can't stand.
- 1:01Speaker 2: Even like birthdays, I feel like I have a better
- 1:03Speaker 2: time when I don't have an event because then you're
- 1:06Speaker 2: not worried if everyone's having a good time.
- 1:08Speaker 3: Getting around to everyone.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Yeah, I hate that element.
- 1:10Speaker 2: The second piece of advice was for her and Callum
- 1:13Speaker 2: to continuously check in with each other so they didn't
- 1:15Speaker 2: lose each other.
- 1:16Speaker 1: In the crowd throughout the night.
- 1:17Speaker 2: So obviously you know at your wedding you have to
- 1:19Speaker 2: speak to everyone and you're making your way around.
- 1:22Speaker 1: They might be dealing with one half of the room.
- 1:24Speaker 1: You might be doing this half.
- 1:25Speaker 2: And by the time you know it, like you've missed
- 1:28Speaker 2: half the night together and you're only coming together for
- 1:30Speaker 2: the cake and then you're splitting up again and then
- 1:31Speaker 2: you're coming together for the speeches. So you're not actually
- 1:34Speaker 2: spending the biggest night of your life together.
- 1:37Speaker 3: No, I never thought of it that way. I mean, Sean,
- 1:38Speaker 3: when you got married, were you hanging around very much
- 1:41Speaker 3: or divided?
- 1:42Speaker 1: No, no, we were together, yeah. Did you have a
- 1:44Speaker 1: big wedding? Yeah, it was 120 maybe.
- 1:48Speaker 3: Oh, 120 people.
- 1:49Speaker 2: You seem like a guy who'd have a chill wedding, though,
- 1:51Speaker 2: and you wouldn't have extravagant detail and things like that. Yeah,
- 1:54Speaker 2: I mean, it was a nice place, but it was
- 1:56Speaker 2: pretty chill still, even though there was 100 people there
- 1:59Speaker 2: or whatever.
- 1:59Speaker 3: You didn't get dragged in different directions.
- 2:02Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, no, that does happen, but we were together
- 2:04Speaker 1: when that was happening. Do you get mad ever?
- 2:07Speaker 4: No.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah.
- 2:08Speaker 3: We're just so chill. Surely we could piss him off.
- 2:11Speaker 1: He's just so chill. Even when he talks. Wedding, 120,000,
- 2:14Speaker 1: give a shit. I really didn't phase me.
- 2:18Speaker 3: You don't even care.
- 2:19Speaker 1: I loved it. It was a great time. But didn't
- 2:22Speaker 1: phase me.
- 2:23Speaker 3: He's so chill, isn't he?
- 2:24Speaker 1: His wedding didn't phase me. The birth of my child,
- 2:27Speaker 1: it didn't phase me. House being a parent, that's all right.
- 2:31Speaker 3: What a dream to be not worried.
- 2:32Speaker 1: He would piss me off. I couldn't be with someone
- 2:35Speaker 1: like him. I'd be like, care.
- 2:36Speaker 3: He cares.
- 2:37Speaker 1: I do care. Do you? People worry about all the
- 2:41Speaker 1: stupid shit.
- 2:41Speaker 3: Yeah. Maybe he's got the secret ingredient to a happy life.
- 2:45Speaker 1: Would you say you're happy?
- 2:46Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 2:47Speaker 1: Deeply happy?
- 2:48Speaker 4: 100%.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Yep. When was the last time you were happy, Mikey?
- 2:51Speaker 3: Oh, when I was with my girlfriend on the weekend.
- 2:53Speaker 4: There you go.
- 2:54Speaker 1: Nice. Nice.
- 2:56Speaker 3: Well done.
- 2:58Speaker 1: All right.
- 2:58Speaker 3: Let's move on.
- 3:00Speaker 2: Hey, Kim Kardashian, now she kind of got her start
- 3:03Speaker 2: in Hollywood because she was Paris Hilton's wardrobe organiser, not stylist.
- 3:09Speaker 1: She just organised her wardrobe for us. What a wank.
- 3:11Speaker 3: Hang on, you'd go in there, what, once a month
- 3:13Speaker 3: and move some coats around? How is that a job?
- 3:16Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, I guess she'd cycle her clothing out
- 3:19Speaker 2: as well. Celebrities wear things once, so once she wore it,
- 3:21Speaker 2: probably got rid of it, colour coordinate it, make sure
- 3:23Speaker 2: it's all in its correct order.
- 3:24Speaker 3: Very important, yeah.
- 3:25Speaker 2: She'd get new clothes all the time. Yeah, a total
- 3:27Speaker 2: celebrity role.
- 3:28Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 3:29Speaker 2: It is how she got her start in the industry
- 3:30Speaker 2: because then she got in with that crew and the
- 3:33Speaker 2: famous circles and.
- 3:34Speaker 1: Everything went from there.
- 3:35Speaker 2: But before she had that job, not many people realized
- 3:39Speaker 2: that when she was eight years old, she actually had
- 3:41Speaker 2: a job for another celebrity and a celebrity bigger than
- 3:44Speaker 2: Paris Hilton. She was a dog walker and she walked
- 3:47Speaker 2: her next door neighbor's dog and her next door neighbor
- 3:50Speaker 2: happened to be Madonna.
- 3:51Speaker 1: Let's have a listen.
- 3:53Speaker 4: When I was eight years old, I would walk her
- 3:54Speaker 4: dog and she paid me in, remember those like jelly
- 3:58Speaker 4: rubber neon bracelets?
- 4:00Speaker 1: She paid me in those.
- 4:01Speaker 4: I remember going to school wearing them and all my
- 4:03Speaker 4: friends were like, oh my God, that's so cool. Where
- 4:05Speaker 4: did you get that? And I was like, Madonna gave
- 4:07Speaker 4: it to me.
- 4:07Speaker 3: I mean, it's a cool story, but another wanky job
- 4:10Speaker 3: because there are a lot of dog walkers.
- 4:12Speaker 1: Oh, so Madonna could have afforded to chug her 50.
- 4:14Speaker 1: I know, right? She's paying her in their bracelets.
- 4:17Speaker 3: But yeah, like, well, I mean, I've told you before,
- 4:19Speaker 3: I've got a cat sitter.
- 4:21Speaker 1: Yeah, that comes when you're away.
- 4:23Speaker 3: No, she comes on days when I'm, like, out all day.
- 4:26Speaker 4: What?
- 4:27Speaker 3: Yeah, so, like, certain days I'll leave at 5 and
- 4:29Speaker 3: I don't get home till 5.
- 4:30Speaker 1: 12 hours.
- 4:32Speaker 3: Yeah, 12-hour day, and I feel bad for the cat,
- 4:34Speaker 3: so she comes in.
- 4:35Speaker 1: Really? I thought cats were self-sufficient. Like, they didn't really
- 4:38Speaker 1: need that much attention.
- 4:39Speaker 3: A lot of people listening will think it's a little indulgent.
- 4:42Speaker 1: How much does this woman charge? I'm assuming it's a woman.
- 4:44Speaker 3: $ 80 a visit, yeah.
- 4:45Speaker 1: $ 80? And how long is she there?
- 4:47Speaker 3: About an hour, I think. She plays with her, puts
- 4:49Speaker 3: her outside.
- 4:50Speaker 1: Do you have a pet cam?
- 4:52Speaker 3: Yeah, I've got one. Yeah, we could see her right now.
- 4:54Speaker 1: Is the nanny there? The cat nanny? No, no, no. Oh,
- 4:57Speaker 1: I don't care to just see your cat.
- 4:59Speaker 3: Oh, you want to know if the nanny's there now?
- 5:00Speaker 2: Well, what I'm saying is when the cat nanny is over,
- 5:04Speaker 2: have you actually seen that she's doing anything? Yeah, see?
- 5:06Speaker 1: There. Oh, it's on her food thing.
- 5:09Speaker 3: Well, the funny thing is I don't even need this
- 5:11Speaker 3: woman because look at this. I can just go feed
- 5:14Speaker 3: and then the cat is about to receive.
- 5:16Speaker 1: Does the cat come?
- 5:18Speaker 3: Maybe.
- 5:20Speaker 1: Speak to the cat. Oh, that was dropping the food.
- 5:22Speaker 3: That was dropping the food.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Can you intercom to the cat through it?
- 5:25Speaker 3: Yeah, I can actually. Microphone. That's what I hear. Jasper.
- 5:30Speaker 4: Jasper.
- 5:31Speaker 1: Do it in the voice you normally do. Yeah, I
- 5:33Speaker 1: thought you had some sort of voice you'd talk your
- 5:35Speaker 1: cat in. Do it in the normal voice so your
- 5:36Speaker 1: cat actually comes.
- 5:39Speaker 3: Hold on.
- 5:41Speaker 1: You look like such a boomer.
- 5:43Speaker 3: End it. Jasper, come here.
- 5:46Speaker 1: Jasper, come on. Jasper.
- 5:50Speaker 3: Yeah, so it didn't come like a typical cat. That's
- 5:52Speaker 3: why I need to pay a woman $ 80 a day
- 5:54Speaker 3: to go and visit her.
- 5:55Speaker 1: Wow, okay. That's very high maintenance, little Jasper.
- 5:59Speaker 3: Well, she'd probably be fine, to be honest, 12 hours
- 6:01Speaker 3: a day without me.
- 6:02Speaker 1: At least while she's there, can this woman not cook
- 6:04Speaker 1: you dinner?
- 6:04Speaker 3: Yeah, no, do something else.
- 6:05Speaker 1: Yeah, just playing with the cat for an hour. What
- 6:07Speaker 1: a waste of money.
- 6:07Speaker 3: All she does is put her outside. She does her
- 6:09Speaker 3: own thing in the yard and then brings her back in.
- 6:14Speaker 3: I really should do more with my life.
- 6:16Speaker 1: Rethink your life choices, I reckon.
- 6:18Speaker 4: Yeah.
