- 0:02Speaker 1: Hello and welcome to the Spiritual Shit Show.
- 0:04Speaker 1: My name is Julie Nguyen.
- 0:06Speaker 1: Thank you so much for being here.
- 0:08Speaker 1: This is my own personal share.
- 0:12Speaker 1: Creating these podcasts helped me to continue to move in the direction in my life.
- 0:18Speaker 1: That is the path that I want to create and I think, when we share our stories authentically and with scary vulnerability, I think this is where great change comes for each of us.
- 0:34Speaker 1: So again, just thank you for being here and I hope it helps.
- 0:39Speaker 1: It's interesting to think about time, because time can either move fast or slow.
- 0:45Speaker 1: I was connecting with my high school friends and she said it so perfectly.
- 0:50Speaker 1: She said time just moves so strangely.
- 0:53Speaker 1: When you reach an age and you can reflect back to your past, time that way does seem strange.
- 1:01Speaker 1: Or, you know, when you're like dang, my kid is already 10 years old.
- 1:06Speaker 1: She was just a baby yesterday.
- 1:08Speaker 1: Time moves so strangely and at times when you are feeling stuck in your life, it is good to remember that we feel like time moves linear.
- 1:22Speaker 1: We have past and we have future and we're on this straight timeline, but in reality, our soul is dancing in circles, that our life is really a spiral, which is why we go and revisit past memories.
- 1:39Speaker 1: Or we can dream into the future, or old pains can pop up and we can stay dancing in that whirlpool for a little bit longer than we choose.
- 1:53Speaker 1: But I want us to pause for a minute and take a couple deep breaths and just see how that feels when I say that time is actually a spiral and your life is really a spiral.
- 2:17Speaker 1: I've mentioned in a prior podcast that I have recently come out of this seven year sabbatical.
- 2:23Speaker 1: So it was seven years of hmm, it was seven years of me really doing deep spiritual work Loads of inner child healing, loads of family healing, looking at traumas that I didn't even know existed but were definitely ruling my life.
- 2:46Speaker 1: And still some are still there.
- 2:49Speaker 1: And in that seven year process I wrote a shit ton of journals and yesterday I was reflecting back just on my life you know, 45 years of life and then reviewing these seven years of journals that I was practicing gratitude and vision boards and dreaming and fast forward.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Seven years later, those dreams, those visions are still there.
- 3:21Speaker 1: I just haven't accomplished them yet.
- 3:24Speaker 1: So today, for self and hopefully for you too, we're going to talk about how to get on stuck.
- 3:30Speaker 1: I know being stuck is such a familiar feeling for a lot of people.
- 3:34Speaker 1: I called a friend yesterday and I said so how are you?
- 3:39Speaker 1: And she said well, I'm here, because she couldn't say she was good or bad, she was just here.
- 3:44Speaker 1: And I thought that was such an interesting response because she too is really feeling stuck, stuck, and it feels differently in my 40s feeling stuck and needing to combat, I guess, this idea of starting over, which and also many respects, we do start over many, many times.
- 4:09Speaker 1: When we start a career, we're starting, but we're also starting over.
- 4:12Speaker 1: We're starting something new.
- 4:13Speaker 1: When we leave a career or a job and decide to stay home and be a mother and a wife, and we're starting over.
- 4:21Speaker 1: When we decide to go back to work, we're starting over.
- 4:24Speaker 1: When our kids leave the house, we start over.
- 4:28Speaker 1: So here are my divine plans for how to get yourself unstuck.
- 4:35Speaker 1: Number one give yourself grace and know that to begin again is a courageous act.
- 4:43Speaker 1: To begin again is a courageous act.
- 4:49Speaker 1: To pick up those dreams, those wants, those desires is a bold and courageous act.
- 4:57Speaker 1: To learn something new about yourself, to get curious about who you are at 45 or 57 or 63.
- 5:06Speaker 1: These are brilliant, courageous acts of allowing yourself to start over to begin again and to stay curious about the journey, the process and what can unfold for you now.
- 5:22Speaker 1: So, number one know that it is a courageous act to begin again.
- 5:31Speaker 1: Number two small steps forward.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Sometimes we can get stuck in the word manifestation, and manifesting is truly about getting your desires heartfelt, purposeful desires in alignment with that which brings you the most joy.
- 6:01Speaker 1: So, number two, on how to get yourself unstuck, is find joy.
- 6:07Speaker 1: Write your joy list.
- 6:10Speaker 1: What are the things that I love to do, that really get me excited, that light me up inside?
- 6:18Speaker 1: And commit to doing that more joyful acts every single day.
- 6:27Speaker 1: I want you to create your joy list.
- 6:30Speaker 1: At the end of the day, I want you to write down what brought you great joy.
- 6:35Speaker 1: And it's these small acts of joy that help you manifest your life forward.
- 6:44Speaker 1: And I will say, I hear that for myself and I am practicing this right now, and is it a little annoying?
- 6:50Speaker 1: Absolutely, because I want it big and I want it now, but for sustainable happiness, it's joy that allows you to manifest your joy and it's your life forward.
- 7:06Speaker 1: So, number two create your joy list.
- 7:09Speaker 1: Do more of that.
- 7:11Speaker 1: Do more things that bring you joy every single day and at night, just reflect on the day of how much joyful moments you got to experience.
- 7:24Speaker 1: Number three how to get yourself unstuck.
- 7:27Speaker 1: I want you to pay attention to your habits.
- 7:31Speaker 1: We tend to create habits that distract us from what it is that we really want to create and what it is that we really want to do and what it is that we really want to experience, because there's some part of us that is still entangled with fear.
- 7:51Speaker 1: Create your small task list every day, so starting small, and that's what builds.
- 8:02Speaker 1: It's like a snowball and it also cuts the fear.
- 8:05Speaker 1: It gives a little breath and enables you to find joy in the creation of what it is that you want to create.
- 8:16Speaker 1: Do experience, so we want to start again.
- 8:21Speaker 1: We want to do things from joy and we want to have our quote, unquote list, this manifestation forward starting small.
- 8:33Speaker 1: That way, you don't get discouraged and quit or feel overwhelmed and in many ways, when we approach our goals and our dreams this way, time slows down for us, because we're able to anchor into the present moment.
- 8:54Speaker 1: Number four, on how to get yourself unstuck Just fucking, do it.
- 8:58Speaker 1: Fucking, do it Now.
- 9:02Speaker 1: I am telling myself that right now I have seven years of dreams that I have just been sitting on in a box because I have been too afraid to do it and or, when I did move forward, I quit so quickly out of fear of what other people were gonna say or think or do, or it wasn't good enough and I wasn't ready at all.
- 9:30Speaker 1: The fears, all the fears.
- 9:32Speaker 1: So today I am reminding myself, and hopefully this is a reminder for you, to just do it.
- 9:41Speaker 1: What do you want?
- 9:43Speaker 1: And let's get to it.
- 9:45Speaker 1: And then go back to number three small steps, but we want to be able to manifest our life forward.
- 9:53Speaker 1: This is a message that has been coming in with so many clients, and I'm hearing this for myself.
- 9:58Speaker 1: The journey starts now and your ability to manifest your life forward is now Number five on how to get yourself unstuck.
- 10:17Speaker 1: Go inward as much as you can so you can know what it feels like to be tethered to your own truth, so that you know and can follow inner guidance, intuition.
- 10:35Speaker 1: And I want you to shut out the outside noise.
- 10:39Speaker 1: Before you ask somebody for their opinion, pause and ask yourself first.
- 10:47Speaker 1: We can get so lost in seeking advice and other people's opinions and it just becomes noise and it makes us feel small and then it makes our tasks feel daunting and unachievable.
- 11:05Speaker 1: Cultivating a practice of going inward, of knowing how to really center yourself, is where all ideas can be manifested through you, through you.
- 11:21Speaker 1: Through you, we no longer want to reach out and grab ideas or concepts and pull them into ourselves.
- 11:30Speaker 1: We want to close it all out and we want to ask ourselves in an infinite and abundant universe, how can I create and experience this goal?
- 11:45Speaker 1: I allow all creative, joyful expressions of possibilities to be birthed through me.
- 11:56Speaker 1: I allow infinite creative intelligence to flow through me so that I can see what is possible to create in this universe, in my world.
- 12:18Speaker 1: All right, these are just a little nuggets that I am using to self-motivate and, to be honest, once I hear these words, I feel really excited, and that's the other thing.
- 12:36Speaker 1: Once you are tethered to the truth of who you are, when we're in the state of creation, there should be a huge element, that should I don't like the word should.
- 12:50Speaker 1: My friend said shoulds are shit, so let me reword this when you are able to really center into the truth of who you are and how you express self and love and divinity and creation and purpose in this soul's existence.
- 13:23Speaker 1: You will experience an intense, wild excitement to manifest your life, your dreams, your goals to create, to move it all forward, because you want to dance in the splendor of that soul's achievement.
- 13:51Speaker 1: And with that, let's get to it.
- 13:55Speaker 1: What is it that you want to create?
- 13:57Speaker 1: What is it that you want to experience?
- 13:59Speaker 1: What is it that is going to fill your soul cup?
- 14:04Speaker 1: Hopefully today's podcast has been a little bit of a soul vitamin, a little soul supplement and some encouragement for you to go and be your brightest light.
- 14:16Speaker 1: In case you have not heard it yet today you are immensely loved, lovable and I believe in you.
- 14:24Speaker 1: This is also what comes through in one-on-one soul coaching sessions.
- 14:32Speaker 1: I am just a voice, a reflection for the light of who you are.
- 14:38Speaker 1: So hit me up if you are interested in doing one-on-one soul sessions or coaching or if you are just needing some support.
- 14:47Speaker 1: Much love.
