- 0:00Speaker 1: You know what's is. We always say, you know, call
- 0:04Speaker 1: text us.
- 0:04Speaker 2: You call us at eight seven seven nine three seven
- 0:07Speaker 2: one oh four seven, or text us text JJR, or
- 0:09Speaker 2: whatever you want to say, you text it JJR. Whatever
- 0:12Speaker 2: you want to say to nine sixty nine three. The
- 0:14Speaker 2: nine six eight nine three will read your text, or we'll.
- 0:17Speaker 1: Call you back.
- 0:17Speaker 2: I happen to see a text here and I called
- 0:20Speaker 2: the guy back and he doesn't want to go on
- 0:22Speaker 2: the radio.
- 0:23Speaker 1: And he's like, oh, no, man, no, I just can't. Man,
- 0:27Speaker 1: I just kind of go it's a funny text. Come on,
- 0:29Speaker 1: No I can't.
- 0:31Speaker 2: And I'm like, come on, And it's such a small thing, is.
- 0:35Speaker 1: What he said.
- 0:36Speaker 2: He goes, John J are you losing weight? You look sick?
- 0:41Speaker 2: Thank you is what he said. Right, What a compliment
- 0:45Speaker 2: I was gonna say.
- 0:46Speaker 3: I feel like when somebody tells you that you look
- 0:49Speaker 3: like you've lost weight, like thank you. That actually just
- 0:51Speaker 3: happened to me the other day. I haven't lost any weight,
- 0:54Speaker 3: but apparently I look good, so I appreciate it.
- 0:56Speaker 2: Well, See, for me, it's not about looking good. For me,
- 0:58Speaker 2: I've always wanted to I will always want people say
- 1:00Speaker 2: do you look sick? Because I think then because I
- 1:02Speaker 2: have uch body dysmorphia that if I look sick to somebody,
- 1:06Speaker 2: then that means I'll probably look okay to myself. Right,
- 1:08Speaker 2: So it's a really nice compliment. Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
- 1:11Speaker 2: So this guy finally said, are you losing weight? Do
- 1:12Speaker 2: you look sick? I get you look sick. I'm like, yeah,
- 1:15Speaker 2: I have. I have been losing weight, and not only that,
- 1:18Speaker 2: I'm doing this this like GLP three thing, and I think,
- 1:23Speaker 2: because I've never had this happen before, it's to make
- 1:25Speaker 2: me want to exercise more. Like I'm yeah, like I'm
- 1:29Speaker 2: I'm I'm on the like this whole weekend. I got
- 1:31Speaker 2: up really early and I did an hour on the
- 1:33Speaker 2: treadmill before I even did anything else. And then I
- 1:35Speaker 2: got into this one bike and then I went and
- 1:36Speaker 2: rode my bike around town around town. I mean like
- 1:40Speaker 2: like a quarter of a mile.
- 1:45Speaker 4: I feel that, but in the opposite way, like I
- 1:47Speaker 4: don't know, I haven't shed the winter bod yet, and
- 1:51Speaker 4: I feel like always right around this time of year,
- 1:53Speaker 4: when it starts getting warmer and you feel like re
- 1:55Speaker 4: tank tops and it's like shorts are coming out, I'm
- 1:57Speaker 4: always like, shoot, I didn't prepare for this, and every
- 2:00Speaker 4: year I'm like, you know what, next November, I'm just
- 2:04Speaker 4: gonna start then. So by the time summer comes around,
- 2:06Speaker 4: I'm like ready to go and I'm just like grossed
- 2:09Speaker 4: out with myself and I feel that way, but then
- 2:11Speaker 4: I don't really do anything about it, because like I
- 2:14Speaker 4: had dessert for dinner last night, and then after dessert
- 2:17Speaker 4: for dinner, I had dessert.
- 2:21Speaker 5: Dinner makes sense?
- 2:23Speaker 6: WHOA, that sounds amazing. What was dinner dessert? I want
- 2:26Speaker 6: to know about that?
- 2:26Speaker 7: Dessert was two Trader Joe's ice cream cones. And then
- 2:30Speaker 7: after that, Addie was like, Mom, will you help me
- 2:32Speaker 7: make we make this like melted chocolate with melted peanut
- 2:36Speaker 7: butter with bananas called a little Banana Molten dish, and
- 2:40Speaker 7: she's like, will you help me make one? I'm like yeah,
- 2:41Speaker 7: and I'm like, you.
- 2:42Speaker 6: Know what, I want to make one for myself too.
- 2:44Speaker 4: No big deal.
- 2:44Speaker 1: And then afterwards I.
- 2:45Speaker 7: Was like what am I doing? Because then I just
- 2:48Speaker 7: go in and I'm like unhappy with what my body
- 2:50Speaker 7: looks like. And I think my Instagram algorithm knows that
- 2:53Speaker 7: because I keep getting these ads for this new influencer
- 2:56Speaker 7: who's doing and it's really actually kind of annoying because
- 2:58Speaker 7: it adds to like if you till like now bye Dune,
- 3:01Speaker 7: you'll feel amazing and you won't even recognize your body
- 3:05Speaker 7: like it's a song. And I'm like, oh, yeah, that's
- 3:07Speaker 7: probably a good idea. And so last night I'm like
- 3:10Speaker 7: feeling all down on myself and we're like all getting
- 3:12Speaker 7: ready for bed and we're burnching our teeth together.
- 3:13Speaker 1: I was like, that's it.
- 3:15Speaker 7: Tomorrow, listen up, everybody, look at me. Tomorrow, I am
- 3:19Speaker 7: throwing out all the sugar in the house. We are
- 3:23Speaker 7: going s fss everybody.
- 3:27Speaker 1: They're like, what is SFS.
- 3:29Speaker 6: I was like, sugar free summer, baby sugar.
- 3:33Speaker 7: And then Scott I just hear him laughing in the
- 3:35Speaker 7: other part of the room, like he's just laughing. He's like,
- 3:38Speaker 7: do you guys know your mom? That will never happen.
- 3:40Speaker 7: And I'm like, you're right, because I like sugar too much.
- 3:44Speaker 3: The problem.
- 3:45Speaker 7: But so now I am thinking of because I can't
- 3:48Speaker 7: get that you'll.
- 3:49Speaker 3: Transform your body and I'm.
- 3:51Speaker 1: Like, dang it.
- 3:52Speaker 7: And so now I'm thinking of joining that.
- 3:55Speaker 3: Or like are you against the Triseeppie or the renna,
- 3:58Speaker 3: Like would you be down to get on a peptide,
- 4:01Speaker 3: then you gonna have your sweet I got a.
- 4:03Speaker 1: Connection for you. I got to choose eppetite and oh
- 4:05Speaker 1: you met him Will.
- 4:06Speaker 6: Will, Yeah, I know, well we met.
- 4:08Speaker 7: We met three different companies.
- 4:10Speaker 1: They do that dinner the other night.
- 4:13Speaker 7: And it's funny because, like I've always been really nervous
- 4:15Speaker 7: about it because it's like they don't really have long
- 4:17Speaker 7: term studies on that yet, Like you know, it's so
- 4:19Speaker 7: for me. I'm like, oh no, I feel like I
- 4:21Speaker 7: got to have the John Jes of the world do
- 4:22Speaker 7: it first, and then I'll hop on the train later.
- 4:25Speaker 1: You know.
- 4:26Speaker 2: So the thing I'm doing, the red Reddit true type
- 4:28Speaker 2: thing I'm doing apparently it makes you.
- 4:30Speaker 1: It kills your appetite for dessert.
- 4:32Speaker 2: And yesterday my whole family went to dinner and then
- 4:35Speaker 2: we went they wanted to go to handles.
- 4:38Speaker 1: Yeah, that's so good. So we all go into handles
- 4:41Speaker 1: and it looked amazing.
- 4:43Speaker 2: There was like so much ice cream there and they'd
- 4:44Speaker 2: get you in really fast, and within seconds, everyone in
- 4:48Speaker 2: my family had an ice cream cone and I didn't care.
- 4:51Speaker 2: I had zero desire for ice cream, which has never
- 4:53Speaker 2: happened in my life.
- 4:54Speaker 1: And I was just like, what the heck?
- 4:56Speaker 2: And I was just I was like inside myself trying
- 4:59Speaker 2: to go, how come I don't want any of this?
- 5:00Speaker 2: How come this doesn't appeal to me? It's the reddit
- 5:02Speaker 2: true chat no more like it doesn't make it's weird.
- 5:06Speaker 7: So I have a question for you, because everything I've
- 5:08Speaker 7: seen about this is that it then it turns off
- 5:11Speaker 7: like your brain receptors for pleasure.
- 5:13Speaker 1: That's no joy in my life.
- 5:15Speaker 7: So but okay, that was my question because because literally
- 5:19Speaker 7: I was like feeling down and then I had dessert
- 5:20Speaker 7: last night and be like, you know what, I feel great.
- 5:23Speaker 6: That was delicious.
- 5:26Speaker 2: There is absolutely no joy, no pain at all. Like
- 5:29Speaker 2: if you hit me in the face, I'd go, oh,
- 5:30Speaker 2: I bet that her.
- 5:31Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, wait made joy.
- 5:34Speaker 3: I have a friend that's going through like what would
- 5:36Speaker 3: typically be an awful breakup, but she is on the
- 5:39Speaker 3: Reddit and she is perfectly fine, almost to the point
- 5:42Speaker 3: where I am concerned about her. So it's not like
- 5:44Speaker 3: you are not grieving this relationship in the way that
- 5:46Speaker 3: you should be.
- 5:46Speaker 7: It's not just no joy, it's just like no feelings
- 5:49Speaker 7: at all.
- 5:50Speaker 1: I can my head with a hammer and be like,
- 5:53Speaker 1: oh man, I bet that hurt.
- 5:55Speaker 3: That's what the medicine when I was in like the
- 5:57Speaker 3: psych word, what they gave me did to me.
- 5:59Speaker 6: So that's yeah. Theretta makes you have great abs in
- 6:03Speaker 6: the emotionless too.
- 6:09Speaker 2: I had my shirt off the other day and Dutch goes, oh, hello,
- 6:12Speaker 2: and he starts counting. He goes, I can count your
- 6:13Speaker 2: app you started touching my abs. That's great, okay, but
- 6:16Speaker 2: I also don't know. I also don't know if he's
- 6:18Speaker 2: just making fun of me. It could be one myla
- 6:21Speaker 2: fast Yeah, exactly.
- 6:23Speaker 6: One of my friends was telling me that you can
- 6:25Speaker 6: totally eat your way through ezempic and he was proud
- 6:27Speaker 6: of it. He's like, you know, ozepich makes you not hungry,
- 6:30Speaker 6: but you can eat your way through. And he's like,
- 6:32Speaker 6: now you feel terrible and you get stomach cramps and
- 6:34Speaker 6: you feel like you're gonna die, but you can totally
- 6:35Speaker 6: eat through and gain weight. So maybe REDDA is the
- 6:38Speaker 6: way to go.
- 6:39Speaker 1: Oh it is for me right now. Michelle has an
- 6:42Speaker 1: idea for our show. Am I right? Michelle?
- 6:45Speaker 6: Hi?
- 6:45Speaker 5: Yes, I'm a couple of days behind on the podcast.
- 6:49Speaker 5: So I was just listening this morning to the girl
- 6:52Speaker 5: that called in upset that the guy she's dating turns
- 6:55Speaker 5: off his phone at night.
- 6:57Speaker 1: Uh huh.
- 6:58Speaker 5: And at the end of the segment, John, they kind
- 7:00Speaker 5: of summarized by saying is it a red flag or not?
- 7:03Speaker 5: And it gave me the idea that I texted in,
- 7:06Speaker 5: which was that you should do that each week, Like
- 7:08Speaker 5: you should have a like someone that you guys screen
- 7:11Speaker 5: that like has a legitimate I'm dating this person or
- 7:14Speaker 5: whatever situation that they can call in and say is
- 7:17Speaker 5: this a red flag? Should I be concerned? And then
- 7:20Speaker 5: everyone on the show could give like their two cents
- 7:23Speaker 5: on it, kind of like what you used to do
- 7:25Speaker 5: with like hash it out or whatever.
- 7:28Speaker 2: So you're saying someone calls up, like we'll take a
- 7:30Speaker 2: call from one person or several people and they'll be like, hey,
- 7:33Speaker 2: I was on a date and this happened. Is it
- 7:35Speaker 2: a red flag? Should I be concerned? That's the segment.
- 7:38Speaker 2: Is it a red flag? Should I be concerned? Okay,
- 7:40Speaker 2: that's pretty good.
- 7:41Speaker 5: Yeah, because I think, yeah, I think people have that
- 7:43Speaker 5: happen all the time where they're like, am I being crazy?
- 7:46Speaker 5: Like kind of like the girl that called like am
- 7:48Speaker 5: I being crazy? Which she was because she went all
- 7:50Speaker 5: the way to the pickup line scenario, but like, am
- 7:54Speaker 5: I being crazy? Or is this creepy or scary or
- 7:58Speaker 5: the ick or whatever?
- 8:00Speaker 1: Okay, let's try.
- 8:02Speaker 2: Let's try it, all right, So right now, eight seven seven,
- 8:04Speaker 2: nine three seven one oh four seven?
- 8:06Speaker 1: Is this a red flag? Should I be concerned? Call us?
- 8:10Speaker 2: Tell us your situation and Michelle, hopefully it takes off.
- 8:12Speaker 2: If it doesn't, then we're gonna come after you. Yeah, Michelle, no, no, no, no,
- 8:20Speaker 2: I want you to always we want I want to
- 8:22Speaker 2: hear as many ideas as possible. All right, so hold
- 8:23Speaker 2: on the line, hold on, here we go. Eight seven seven,
- 8:26Speaker 2: nine three seven one o four seven. Tell us about
- 8:27Speaker 2: a situation you're in? Is it a red flag? Should
- 8:30Speaker 2: I be concerned? We'll talk to you, have to Bruno marsh.
- 8:37Speaker 1: All right, So Michelle texted us, I Michelle called in.
- 8:39Speaker 2: She had an idea, Michelle, right, you were like, hey,
- 8:41Speaker 2: let's do scenarios if you have like, hey, is this
- 8:45Speaker 2: a red flag?
- 8:45Speaker 1: Should I be concerned? That was your idea, right Michelle?
- 8:49Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 8:49Speaker 2: All right, So we asked everybody to call in and
- 8:51Speaker 2: call in. Are you currently in a situation like that?
- 8:54Speaker 2: Like you want to know if it's a red flag
- 8:56Speaker 2: and bounce it off of us. Well, Michelle, I got
- 8:58Speaker 2: to tell you. I don't know if this is ever
- 9:00Speaker 2: happened before, but we don't have one phone call.
- 9:02Speaker 6: Oh this is uh it's okay, Michelle. This it happens
- 9:07Speaker 6: to me all the time. And then usually John Jay's like,
- 9:09Speaker 6: great job, Baryl.
- 9:11Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, we could put you and Rich have come
- 9:12Speaker 2: up with many ideas that went nowhere. It was a
- 9:16Speaker 2: good idea, but it is a good idea. It didn't hit.
- 9:19Speaker 2: It didn't hit unless they listened to the podcast later.
- 9:21Speaker 6: We need to fish. We need to fish on our
- 9:23Speaker 6: social media, okay, shot, Yeah, all.
- 9:26Speaker 1: Right, Michelle. Thanks, though, okay, I'll try again.
- 9:30Speaker 7: Sometimes sometimes ideas like this are sleepers. Though, John Jay's right,
- 9:33Speaker 7: someone will be listening to the podcast and they'll need
- 9:35Speaker 7: to know the advice that you wanted.
- 9:37Speaker 1: So I'm not giving up on it.
- 9:39Speaker 5: I expect a call back and then it's a good
- 9:42Speaker 5: bit of Michelle.
- 9:42Speaker 6: You're doing a good job.
- 9:45Speaker 5: Okay.
- 9:45Speaker 2: Well all right, oh look now everyone's calling in for
- 9:52Speaker 2: red flags it okay, well sleeper, go ahead, Dyl if
- 9:59Speaker 2: you want to patch your a red flags, we'll see Meanwhile,
- 10:02Speaker 2: let me tell you this, you guys, I got a
- 10:04Speaker 2: new bike. It's like the first time I've had a
- 10:06Speaker 2: new bike in a long time, like a real bike.
- 10:09Speaker 2: And I didn't know how important it was to be
- 10:14Speaker 2: measured for a bike, right, like I I was. The
- 10:17Speaker 2: bike I had before was a large. I didn't know
- 10:19Speaker 2: they came in different sizes. So I got an extra
- 10:21Speaker 2: large bike. And I feel so different riding this bike
- 10:24Speaker 2: that I did on the large. And I would assume
- 10:26Speaker 2: it's like if I'm wearing a shirt that's too small, right,
- 10:28Speaker 2: So it's like, oh, this is uncomfortable, it's too small.
- 10:31Speaker 2: So I got this new bike and I feel that
- 10:34Speaker 2: I might be the fastest guy ever on a bike,
- 10:37Speaker 2: Like this bike goes so fast.
- 10:39Speaker 7: Like a kid who just got new sneakers.
- 10:40Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, that's childish. Yes, that's exact same thing. Like
- 10:45Speaker 1: I need to get I need to.
- 10:47Speaker 2: Go in one of these bike races, like a five
- 10:49Speaker 2: mile bike race, and then maybe maybe in Tour de
- 10:51Speaker 2: France because I felt like I was so fast. Yesterday
- 10:53Speaker 2: I was driving to the right and in the bike
- 10:54Speaker 2: lane on forty fourth Street and I was like, these
- 10:56Speaker 2: cars can't even pass me right now, I'm going so fast.
- 10:59Speaker 2: I was going so fast, So I went to go
- 11:01Speaker 2: buy some bike shorts because the bike seat hurts my butt.
- 11:04Speaker 2: So I'll go to this bike place to buy you
- 11:06Speaker 2: the bike shorts. I call in ladies, I said, I
- 11:09Speaker 2: called first to make sure they have bike shorts, and
- 11:11Speaker 2: she does. So I go there and I brought a
- 11:15Speaker 2: backpack with me so I could throw whatever I had on.
- 11:17Speaker 2: Turns out the bike shorts I bought they can fit
- 11:20Speaker 2: underneath their like the like right, you can fit them
- 11:21Speaker 2: under any kind of shorts. So I put them on
- 11:24Speaker 2: and as I was right as soon as I sat
- 11:25Speaker 2: on the bike, I was like, okay, you know, they're
- 11:27Speaker 2: cushing me, like in the Crotchell area. And I was like, okay,
- 11:30Speaker 2: this feels good, and then I'll ride in for a while.
- 11:32Speaker 2: I thought maybe they have these own backwards, because the
- 11:36Speaker 2: front part that wasn't on the bike was all mushy,
- 11:39Speaker 2: you know, like up here it was like in the
- 11:41Speaker 2: I was like, I think I might have these on backwards.
- 11:42Speaker 1: I'm not sure. So I went to go visit my
- 11:44Speaker 1: son who works at One Stop.
- 11:46Speaker 2: Nutrition, to make me a shake, and I pull up
- 11:48Speaker 2: in there and I'm like talking to them and I
- 11:49Speaker 2: run into the bathroom and I don't know if I
- 11:51Speaker 2: had my shorts on backwards. It looks like the tag
- 11:53Speaker 2: is in the back, which makes sense, but it doesn't
- 11:56Speaker 2: feel right.
- 11:57Speaker 6: Don't they put the cushion in front for guys so
- 11:59Speaker 6: that you don't have of wearing tearor on the little fellas?
- 12:03Speaker 1: When is that what they're doing? Because I wanted I
- 12:04Speaker 1: want it on the back. I want it on my butt.
- 12:07Speaker 1: The bike seat hurts my butt, not my fellas, my fellas.
- 12:10Speaker 7: I mean, do you just turn them around and ride
- 12:12Speaker 7: home with them?
- 12:13Speaker 1: No?
- 12:13Speaker 6: I didn't because I was already sweaty. So we'll put
- 12:16Speaker 6: your bike seat on backwards. You know what I'd like
- 12:18Speaker 6: to see? Think about this? Didn't Noah win a scooter
- 12:22Speaker 6: from Prices? Right? Could we have a race between you
- 12:24Speaker 6: and Noah on your little bike?
- 12:27Speaker 1: I'll race the car.
- 12:30Speaker 6: Just do it in the parking lot and we'll go like,
- 12:32Speaker 6: what is that like a half a city block? And
- 12:33Speaker 6: let's see who's fastest. Noah's scooter are John Jay, who
- 12:37Speaker 6: is now the fastest man on wheels.
- 12:39Speaker 1: We have to do this good.
- 12:40Speaker 2: I was either think about riding my bike to work again,
- 12:42Speaker 2: like for real, this time, for real?
- 12:43Speaker 6: You've been saying that for years.
- 12:45Speaker 8: I know.
- 12:45Speaker 2: Yeah, I was saying for years when I even didn't
- 12:47Speaker 2: have a good bike. Now I got a really good bike, Like.
- 12:49Speaker 1: Okay, let's do it. Then let's here's my dilemma on that.
- 12:53Speaker 2: Okay, I take the stairs. I don't think I've been
- 12:56Speaker 2: in the elevator in this building for five years. I
- 12:58Speaker 2: take the stairs every day. It's four floors. What am
- 13:00Speaker 2: I to carry my bike up four floors the stairs?
- 13:02Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah, that's even more of a workout.
- 13:04Speaker 7: It's almost like a weighted I can't.
- 13:05Speaker 6: I don't know if I could do that, And don't
- 13:07Speaker 6: we have bike cracks downstairs like it's doing it.
- 13:09Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 13:10Speaker 3: Cut the bike in the elevator and then take the
- 13:12Speaker 3: stairs and meet it up at the top.
- 13:13Speaker 1: I thought about that, but that's just a lot of unnecessary.
- 13:16Speaker 6: Well, that's that's your whole life is unnecessary.
- 13:18Speaker 3: You could park, couldn't you park the bike and the
- 13:21Speaker 3: first floor in the stairwell and just leave it therese stair.
- 13:25Speaker 1: Ight, there's other people to take the stairs.
- 13:26Speaker 2: No, there's usually big bins in there in the first
- 13:28Speaker 2: floor of the stairwell, like garbage bins or laundry or
- 13:30Speaker 2: something like that, or so I.
- 13:31Speaker 1: Know, a guy who's got a like a bike chain.
- 13:33Speaker 2: I think I have a bike lock, but I don't
- 13:35Speaker 2: want to leave this bike out. I don't want it
- 13:36Speaker 2: to be like, you know, three payments. When the guy
