Speaker 3: up a little bit later on Delicate. Kaylee Young is here.
1:53
Speaker 3: She of the fifty six district Democrat here in Kanawha County,
1:58
Speaker 3: and well, her name's been in the news quite a
1:59
Speaker 3: lot here as some of the battles have gone on
2:03
Speaker 3: under the Capitol. Yesterday we had Delegate jb Acres on
2:07
Speaker 3: the show and so Delegate Kayly Young wanted to respond
2:10
Speaker 3: to some of those things, so we said, sure, come
2:12
Speaker 3: on in. All types are welcome here. So Kaylee Young
2:15
Speaker 3: will be on the show coming up a little bit
2:16
Speaker 3: later on on the show. Also, it is day three
2:19
Speaker 3: of the Girls Stay Basketball Tournament of the Kylie Semen
2:21
Speaker 3: Convention Center. Daytime action can be heard on Charleston's ESPN
2:24
Speaker 3: Radio and of course the night time action here on
2:27
Speaker 3: the w COHS network of stations. And there's a lot
2:32
Speaker 3: of things in the news I want to get to
2:33
Speaker 3: as well. And plus, you know, I've had a lot
2:35
Speaker 3: of guests the last couple of days, so I really
2:37
Speaker 3: haven't had an opportunity to get to all the text
2:39
Speaker 3: and phone calls I want to. So it's been the
2:41
Speaker 3: last twenty minutes so of the show, just on you,
2:45
Speaker 3: your text, your comments. Yesterday I spent a little time
2:50
Speaker 3: with a veterans project, as I do from time to time.
2:52
Speaker 3: You know, it's kind of kind kind of my thing. Well,
2:55
Speaker 3: today we're going to continue on that. This was something
2:57
Speaker 3: totally different. Today you may or may not have known.
3:00
Speaker 3: This probably didn't. Today is National Canine Veterans Day. Now
3:04
Speaker 3: there's an organization called War dog guardians and they rescue
3:08
Speaker 3: abandoned K nine vets and turn and then in turn
3:11
Speaker 3: pair them with veterans. Cassie Miller is the head of
3:14
Speaker 3: the group. She joins us now, welcome to the show.
3:16
Speaker 5: Cassie, Thanks Dave, thanks for having me.
3:18
Speaker 3: Thank you for being here. This is National Canine Veterans Day.
3:21
Speaker 3: As I said, I spent some time on the show
3:22
Speaker 3: yesterday talking about some some veterans things with Calvin Griham.
3:26
Speaker 3: I think sometimes though a lot of people present company,
3:29
Speaker 3: included myself, forget our canine friends and soldiers in that area.
3:34
Speaker 6: Yeah, the canines are truly the forgotten veterans. We see
3:38
Speaker 6: a lot of commercials for helping veterans and it's at
3:41
Speaker 6: Noble calls.
3:42
Speaker 5: But this is a twofold.
3:45
Speaker 6: It's a mutually beneficial relationship to getting a dog with
3:48
Speaker 6: a veteran. So we're helping the canines and the humans, and.
3:52
Speaker 3: I think anything we could do to help out our veterans,
3:54
Speaker 3: my listeners know that I am all for that. So
3:57
Speaker 3: how did you get involved in this.
3:59
Speaker 5: Traveling is date.
4:00
Speaker 6: I met a dog trainer out of Martinsburg who trains dogs.
4:04
Speaker 6: She has war dogs. We just we generically call them
4:08
Speaker 6: war dogs. She was a contractor who trained dogs for
4:11
Speaker 6: the military. And you know, you see the gaps when
4:15
Speaker 6: you travel all over and learn about what's going on
4:17
Speaker 6: in the state or the military. So we saw these gaps.
4:20
Speaker 6: I have a friend who actually adopted two dogs from her.
4:23
Speaker 6: And when you adopt a dog from us, you don't
4:25
Speaker 6: pay anything. We vet you, We make sure you're the
4:28
Speaker 6: right person for the dog, and we spend a lot
4:31
Speaker 6: of time up to a year with these dogs. We
4:33
Speaker 6: make sure they're the right the right fit for you.
4:35
Speaker 5: And your home.
4:36
Speaker 3: Yeah, I was going to ask how that process works,
4:38
Speaker 3: I mean, how you.
4:38
Speaker 6: Use It's a long, expensive process. I mean, we've rescued
4:40
Speaker 6: dogs from overseas. We've rescued dogs from shelters. Sometimes they
4:44
Speaker 6: end up in shelters in Texas and Colorado where there's
4:46
Speaker 6: big military installations. In Florida because it's it's it's there's
4:51
Speaker 6: a lot of loopholes where the dogs can fall through
4:53
Speaker 6: the holes. So so we rescue those dogs. We bring
4:56
Speaker 6: them back to West Virginia and the Martinsburg area with
4:59
Speaker 6: their house. There, they're trained, they're they're engaging with other dogs,
5:02
Speaker 6: they're engaging with kids, they're engaging with families, and they're
5:07
Speaker 6: they're in cars. They they're these dogs are super happy
5:09
Speaker 6: in cars. They're used to kind of like waiting around
5:12
Speaker 6: in cars. They usually go everywhere with a veteran. So
5:14
Speaker 6: so we really rehabilitate them back to quote unquote civilian life.
5:18
Speaker 3: It's it's an amazing program. I mean, it really really happened.
5:22
Speaker 3: Give me, give me a ballpark number of how many
5:25
Speaker 3: how many folks or how many dogs or however you
5:27
Speaker 3: want to do it, are are impacted by this program?
5:29
Speaker 3: How many of we talking about here ballpark?
5:31
Speaker 6: Well, uh, our trainer rescued over one hundred and fifty
5:34
Speaker 6: from overseas a couple of years ago.
5:36
Speaker 3: And what is that process? There's a lot, see because
5:38
Speaker 3: I got all kinds of questions. Yeah, what what's that
5:41
Speaker 3: process like and rescuing, Well.
5:42
Speaker 6: It's it's finding money, finding donors to to uh contact
5:47
Speaker 6: overseas and usually it's a military contact that we find.
5:51
Speaker 6: And we have contacts with organizations in all fifty states
5:55
Speaker 6: because there's only a few actual you know, rescues like
6:00
Speaker 6: ours that do this in the country. So so we're
6:02
Speaker 6: just getting our under our feet, you know, up and running.
6:05
Speaker 6: We were approved by the I r s to be
6:07
Speaker 6: a five oh one C three. We're having our first
6:08
Speaker 6: fundraiser this year, so we've got to get some money
6:12
Speaker 6: in to fund these this travel for these dogs, get
6:15
Speaker 6: them back up to us Virginia, rehold them, we get
6:19
Speaker 6: them into the vet.
6:21
Speaker 5: We sometimes they have skin issues.
6:23
Speaker 6: Sometimes they have battle scars, you know, let alone emotional
6:26
Speaker 6: battle scars.
6:26
Speaker 3: Can say I mean I would PTSD, I would think
6:29
Speaker 3: would yeah say very easily at them.
6:31
Speaker 7: They do.
6:31
Speaker 6: And they're very connected when we get them with a veteran,
6:34
Speaker 6: they're very connected. I ran into a veteran in Martinsburg
6:37
Speaker 6: that said, uh, the dog has changed my life. And
6:41
Speaker 6: we were at a restaurant. He said, the dog's actually
6:43
Speaker 6: in my car waiting for me. Yeah, so it's changed
6:45
Speaker 6: your life. I gave you a palm card there. It's
6:47
Speaker 6: got a quote from a Vietnam veteran on there that
6:49
Speaker 6: has one of our dogs, and it.
6:52
Speaker 3: Just frets and read this. The companionship and love I
6:55
Speaker 3: get from him have changed my life. The love and
6:58
Speaker 3: loyalty you have given to Dakota and Dakota has given
7:00
Speaker 3: to me has given me another reason to be happy.
7:02
Speaker 3: Thank you, Craig Gustafson, who's a guardian to war dog Dakota.
7:08
Speaker 5: Yeah, yep, Vietnam vet. Yeah.
7:10
Speaker 3: I mean, that's that's awesome.
7:12
Speaker 5: It's awesome.
7:12
Speaker 6: I mean, you know, my granddad had two Bronze stars
7:15
Speaker 6: in World War Two. My other granddad didn't get called
7:19
Speaker 6: up until after the war and he was guarding Germans
7:24
Speaker 6: in prison, so you know, when they come home, they
7:28
Speaker 6: didn't talk about it. I never heard my grandparent fathers
7:30
Speaker 6: talk about war, and my parents say that they never
7:33
Speaker 6: they never talked about it. So the trauma they experience,
7:37
Speaker 6: so war's different now, and it's it's vicious that it's
7:41
Speaker 6: and it's chaotic, and I can't imagine, you know, doing
7:45
Speaker 6: that but coming home and having you know, just going
7:48
Speaker 6: back to your family life or having no one to
7:49
Speaker 6: relate to.
7:50
Speaker 5: But if we can pair these people with a dog that's.
7:53
Speaker 6: Been there, that's seen it, and the loyalty, the dogs
7:56
Speaker 6: are fiercely loyal and it's something about a veteran and
8:00
Speaker 6: that they are just deeply connected to.
8:03
Speaker 3: I mean, I think it's amazing and it's often and
8:06
Speaker 3: I'm an animal lover. People listen to the show know that,
8:08
Speaker 3: and you know, I think sometimes we don't deserve dogs.
8:12
Speaker 3: Whatever your preferred pet is, dogs in this case, we
8:15
Speaker 3: don't deserve them because they and they pick up on
8:18
Speaker 3: things that we as humans don't pick up on.
8:22
Speaker 5: They can feel the weather change before we even know it. Sure,
8:24
Speaker 5: I mean they're.
8:25
Speaker 3: Taking farmer about that.
8:26
Speaker 5: They'll tell you that exactly, or they.
8:28
Speaker 8: Know you're sick.
8:29
Speaker 6: They know you're sick, or they know another pet in
8:31
Speaker 6: the house is sick before you know, before you pick
8:34
Speaker 6: up on the skills. But you know, the canines did
8:37
Speaker 6: not get into the military until nineteen forty two, and
8:39
Speaker 6: when I think it was the army that started the
8:42
Speaker 6: Canine Core and so Canine Veterans Day didn't start until
8:49
Speaker 6: early two thousands, and it was just to honor these veterans.
8:53
Speaker 5: We do a lot for our human veterans.
8:57
Speaker 3: Never never enough, never enough.
8:59
Speaker 5: It's never enough.
9:00
Speaker 6: And these dogs, I mean, you know, there's there's movies
9:02
Speaker 6: about these dogs. I mean, the Meg and Levy movie
9:05
Speaker 6: is a true story. She got paired with a dog
9:08
Speaker 6: and her dog got left and she fought to get
9:12
Speaker 6: back with her dog. So our dogs don't always get
9:14
Speaker 6: back with their handler. Sometimes their handler is injured, sometimes
9:17
Speaker 6: their handler stays over there so if if there's a
9:20
Speaker 6: dog overseas that's working, and they could either be bomb sniffing,
9:23
Speaker 6: they can be guarding bases doing a variety of things.
9:27
Speaker 6: They actually, if they get retired overseas, they're no longer
9:31
Speaker 6: military property.
9:32
Speaker 5: They're considered property.
9:33
Speaker 6: So they can either get adopted by a handler, they
9:37
Speaker 6: could get transferred to another maybe like an allied force
9:40
Speaker 6: or the police force over there, another security force, and
9:43
Speaker 6: sometimes that doesn't go well, or if the military doesn't
9:48
Speaker 6: have time to deal with a quote unquote like an
9:50
Speaker 6: unfit dog, they will unfortunately euthanize them.
9:55
Speaker 3: Uh I know, uh well, actually I have a text
9:56
Speaker 3: here I wonder to get too, but I do need
9:57
Speaker 3: to get this in here. But they valanced show on
9:59
Speaker 3: five Any live is presient and in part by your

10:18

10:21
Speaker 3: fun Days. Kids twelve and under get in for free.
10:23
Speaker 3: For more, visit dirty Birds Baseball dot com. But did
10:25
Speaker 3: have a text to the show when somebody asked about
10:28
Speaker 3: putting a dog with a vet in each school and
10:31
Speaker 3: how adept dogs are with things like shooters and things
10:36
Speaker 3: like that in school.
10:38
Speaker 6: I wonder if that's from somebody that knows me, because
10:40
Speaker 6: that is my passion. I don't know if it do,
10:44
Speaker 6: but that is my passion. School safety is my passion.
10:47
Speaker 6: And there was a bill to go through to put
10:50
Speaker 6: retired military retired police into schools.
10:54
Speaker 9: There.
10:55
Speaker 5: It didn't it didn't get picked up.
10:57
Speaker 6: So, for example, I'm familiar with goals in Cabal County
11:01
Speaker 6: and one in Martinsburg. These schools are huge and there's
11:04
Speaker 6: two thousand people in some of these schools. There's no
11:07
Speaker 6: way one officer can handle an incident, God forbid, with
11:11
Speaker 6: two thousand people in that school. It's just too big.
11:15
Speaker 6: And you know, I couldn't get from one end to
11:17
Speaker 6: the school to the other in time to stop somebody.
11:19
Speaker 6: A working dog can. And it scares people because there's
11:23
Speaker 6: people who are not dog people who are not familiar
11:26
Speaker 6: with dogs. There are also people who are not willing
11:29
Speaker 6: to take a risk, and they think, what if something
11:31
Speaker 6: happens to the dog or a kid with a dog,
11:34
Speaker 6: and you know, it's a lawsuit or something. But while
11:37
Speaker 6: we can't be fear based, we have to be proactive.
11:39
Speaker 6: And I do truly believe that these dogs can be
11:41
Speaker 6: trained with a handler in the schools and they will
11:45
Speaker 6: track down a weapon. They can get a bad guy
11:49
Speaker 6: in a matter of seconds. All it takes is one command.
11:53
Speaker 6: So a lot of these dogs are trained in German.
11:55
Speaker 6: So if you're at the mall with your dog or
11:57
Speaker 6: you're at the park with your dog, somebody just doesn't
11:59
Speaker 6: say come, and your dog's not going to go to
12:00
Speaker 6: the wrong person, I mean, you know, or give a
12:02
Speaker 6: NodD command. So so they have special keywords that they
12:07
Speaker 6: know when to go get a person. So it's some
12:11
Speaker 6: of the some of the scares that people have, the
12:13
Speaker 6: fears that people have are not exactly logical.
12:16
Speaker 3: Yeah, we had a texture. So how about having some
12:20
Speaker 3: of the hero dogs and armed forces days parades could
12:23
Speaker 3: be a way to educate kids about them on our history.
12:25
Speaker 5: I'll take idy and all ideas. I love it.
12:27
Speaker 4: I love it.
12:28
Speaker 6: We we have a website wardog Guardians dot org. We
12:31
Speaker 6: are on Instagram war Dog Guardians.
12:34
Speaker 5: If you want to go.
12:34
Speaker 6: There and connect with us or direct message us, shoot
12:37
Speaker 6: us some ideas you can put your contact information in.
12:40
Speaker 6: We are having a fundraiser in Huntington in the first
12:44
Speaker 6: week of August. I think I've got an amazing female
12:49
Speaker 6: war dog handler speaker coming. I've just got to get
12:52
Speaker 6: the details down and then we If you want to
12:55
Speaker 6: host a fundraiser, we would love to come and bring
12:58
Speaker 6: some dogs and and.
13:00
Speaker 5: Educate people about that also.
13:02
Speaker 6: Or if you would just share the word and share
13:04
Speaker 6: our website today for Canine Veterans Day, we would appreciate it.
13:08
Speaker 3: I know as you exit us you're going to head
13:11
Speaker 3: over to the Capitol, and you were telling me your schedule.
13:12
Speaker 3: I'm already I was tired listening to you talk about
13:14
Speaker 3: it in the green room. What are you doing at
13:16
Speaker 3: the Capitol?
13:16
Speaker 6: Specific So, today the Senate is going to do a
13:18
Speaker 6: proclamation for Kanine Veterans Day, which is incredible. I mean,
13:21
Speaker 6: we're educating these senators and legislators. They don't know, they
13:25
Speaker 6: didn't know about Knine Veterans Day. So I'm assuming most
13:28
Speaker 6: of the public doesn't know about it, so we're educating them.
13:31
Speaker 6: We're heading to Huntington High today to the Junior ROTC
13:35
Speaker 6: and we're educating those young young students and future military members.
13:39
Speaker 5: And then we are heading to the VA and Wayne County.
13:41
Speaker 3: Awesome, awesome, good stuff, Cassie. It's a pleasure to have
13:44
Speaker 3: you on the show, and I appreciate all the work
13:47
Speaker 3: that you're doing. The group is called War Dog Guardians
13:50
Speaker 3: and it is National Canine Veterans Day. So great opportunity
13:53
Speaker 3: to have you on the show. We'll have you back
13:54
Speaker 3: again soon, maybe next year, how's that? Or maybe before then?
13:57
Speaker 3: How's that? I like that idea of having to maybe
13:59
Speaker 3: in the parades. Maybe dra all a little attention. I
14:01
Speaker 3: appreciate my texture for bringing that up. I love it.
14:02
Speaker 5: I'll take that idea, all right.
14:04
Speaker 3: It is a nine twenty one. But Dave Allen showing
14:06
Speaker 3: five a E line brought to you part by Morgan
14:08

14:33
Speaker 4: We all want what's best for our kids, safe, healthy choices,
14:39
Speaker 4: but some politicians right here in West Virginia are going
14:43
Speaker 4: way too far. They're pushing a ban on safe ingredients
14:47
Speaker 4: in our grocery stores. That ban would jack up prices
14:50
Speaker 4: on almost everything we buy. Banning these types of ingredients
14:53
Speaker 4: would eliminate sixty percent of the food on grocery shelves,
14:57
Speaker 4: hiking prices even more when we're all already struggling. Worse,
15:01
Speaker 4: it would cost thousands of jobs all across West Virginia.
15:06
Speaker 4: Governor Morrissey can stop this reckless ban.
15:09
Speaker 10: It goes way too far.
15:11
Speaker 4: There are more sensible solutions. It should be our choice,

16:35
Speaker 3: Delegates Kaylee Young, good morning. How are you?
16:37
Speaker 8: Good morning, Dave Happy halfway through session day it today's today?
16:41
Speaker 3: I did not realize that it's day thirty.
16:44
Speaker 5: US.
16:44
Speaker 3: Steve Adam, Stephen Allen Adams, my buddy on Twitter, said
16:48
Speaker 3: happy day thirty to those that celebrate.
16:50
Speaker 8: Yeah, celebrator countdown either one.
16:52
Speaker 3: That's also something else. You're all decked out in red today.
16:55
Speaker 3: That's what else is going on about, because there's always
16:57
Speaker 3: ten twenty things going on at.
16:59
Speaker 11: The CAP always including Canine Veteran Day apparently, which is exciting.
17:03
Speaker 11: And also go red for Heart Health Day. We do
17:05
Speaker 11: that once a year for American Heart Association. So everybody
17:09
Speaker 11: gets together and where's red.
17:10
Speaker 3: All right, I'm going to talk to you about some
17:13
Speaker 3: other things going on in the legislature, but you know,
17:16
Speaker 3: I got to get this. The world of social media.
17:18
Speaker 3: Delegate was a blaze on I guess Tuesday, Senate Bill
17:22
Speaker 3: four fifty six. Of course, it was signed into law yesterday.
17:25
Speaker 11: It was signed into law yesterday. Fifth bill that's been
17:27
Speaker 11: signed into law this session, five bills. Five.
17:30
Speaker 3: That's another day vittorial for a little bit later on
17:34
Speaker 3: in the show, the Riley Gaines Act as they call it,
17:38
Speaker 3: and I just to review, and I had Delegate JB.
17:41
Speaker 3: Acres on the show yesterday to explain his side of
17:43
Speaker 3: the story. There was an anything and this thing has
17:46
Speaker 3: just gotten all over the place here social media and
17:49
Speaker 3: so on and so forth. Anything that I say that
17:51
Speaker 3: is incorrect or I read it wrong, you can jump in.
17:54
Speaker 3: And because we've been friends for a long time, you
17:55
Speaker 3: can jump in and say, hey, Dave, that's not right.
17:57
Speaker 2: Sure, all right?
17:57
Speaker 3: So delicate Acres was on the show yesterday. There was
17:59
Speaker 3: an an amendment, at the request of Delegate Acres, to
18:03
Speaker 3: include that only a health care provider could visually or
18:07
Speaker 3: physically examine a minor child for the purpose of verifying
18:10
Speaker 3: their biological sex without the consent of a child's parent, guarding,
18:15
Speaker 3: et cetera. I don't think anybody would disagree with that part.
18:19
Speaker 3: If this is indeed a law, which it.
18:20
Speaker 8: Is now disagree with which part I mean?
18:23
Speaker 3: I don't think that in my opinion. Now, if it's
18:26
Speaker 3: a law, if the law has passed, I think that
18:28
Speaker 3: people would probably be okay with if it has to
18:32
Speaker 3: be done, that it be done by a responsible person.
18:36
Speaker 8: Why would it have to be done, Why would we
18:38
Speaker 8: be verifying biological.
18:39
Speaker 3: Well no, no, I'm saying if that was part of
18:41
Speaker 3: the law, is okay, okay, that's why I said interrupt me. Okay,
18:48
Speaker 3: all right, all right. So the state Democratic Party took
18:51
Speaker 3: issue with this, as did many Democrats of the legislature,
18:55
Speaker 3: including yourself. I'll let you take the story from here.
18:58
Speaker 8: Yeah, so let's back up just a little bit.
19:00
Speaker 11: If people didn't missed it, four fifty six is a bill,
19:03
Speaker 11: they would say it's a definitional bill. I would say
19:06
Speaker 11: that it's a bill that kind of gives a license
19:08
Speaker 11: to harassed folks. It's about single sex spaces. It said
19:11
Speaker 11: we didn't have definitions for men and women in our
19:13
Speaker 11: state code.
19:14
Speaker 8: That's not true.
19:15
Speaker 11: We passed a transgender sports ban in twenty twenty one
19:18
Speaker 11: that took care of the sports issue for folks who
19:21
Speaker 11: had issues with that, so we had that in the
19:23
Speaker 11: code already. This bill says single sex spaces, here's who
19:26
Speaker 11: can go in them, here's who can't go in them.
19:28
Speaker 11: I was concerned that that meant that people are going
19:31
Speaker 11: to start following around people that may not look man
19:34
Speaker 11: enough or woman enough in their eyes and say, what
19:36
Speaker 11: are you doing? Get out of here. We've seen that
19:38
Speaker 11: happen We've seen that happen in Congress. Congress passed this,
19:41
Speaker 11: and that's literally what.
19:42
Speaker 3: Happens to Yeah, a couple you know, we've all seen
19:45
Speaker 3: the story by now a couple of days ago where
19:47
Speaker 3: they refuse I guess it was like a committee meeting
19:49
Speaker 3: in Washington or some of that effectively, Yeah, they refused
19:52
Speaker 3: to address.
19:53
Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah, but not even that.
19:55
Speaker 11: I mean, they passed a very similar piece of legislation.
19:57
Speaker 11: I believe it was a rule in Congress. And then
20:00
Speaker 11: two members followed a woman into the bathroom and pulled
20:03
Speaker 11: in a security guard and said, you need to make
20:05
Speaker 11: sure that's a woman.
20:06
Speaker 8: And guess what, it was a woman. So I just
20:07
Speaker 8: wanted to.
20:08
Speaker 11: Make sure that nobody was looking at anybody's genitals, child, adult, anybody.
20:14
Speaker 8: That's nobody's business.
20:15
Speaker 3: Okay, So where is the breakdown, I guess, and I
20:17
Speaker 3: heard a Delegate Acre's side of the story yesterday. Where
20:20
Speaker 3: is the breakdown in communication here between what you were
20:24
Speaker 3: saying and what he was saying? And where where where
20:27
Speaker 3: are we on this?
20:29
Speaker 8: That's a great question. So where we are is that
20:30
Speaker 8: the bill is now signed into law.
20:32
Speaker 11: My amendment wasn't in it. His amendments not in it.
20:34
Speaker 11: The Senate had an amendment that I agreed with. The
20:37
Speaker 11: Senate amendment said nothing shall be construed as authorizing an
20:40
Speaker 11: examination of a miner for purposes of determining the miner's
20:44
Speaker 11: biological sex. It then talks about a birth certificate. Fine,
20:47
Speaker 11: that's fine, that's non invasive. The amendments on the House side.
20:50
Speaker 11: His amendment said that a healthcare professional can verify biological sex.
20:55
Speaker 11: My amendment said no one's genitals are getting inspected adult
20:59
Speaker 11: or child period.
21:01
Speaker 8: They passed his.
21:01
Speaker 11: Amendment, they voted down my amendment. I tried to do
21:04
Speaker 11: a roll call to see how people voted on my amendment.
21:07
Speaker 11: They would not sustain the role call. If people don't understand.
21:10
Speaker 11: In the House, you have to raise your hand.
21:11
Speaker 8: We do voice votes.
21:13
Speaker 11: If you want a roll call, which is people's names
21:15
Speaker 11: on a piece of paper, you have to have ten
21:16
Speaker 11: people raise their hand. We couldn't get that. So I
21:19
Speaker 11: just wanted to make sure there were no genital inspections. Now,
21:23
Speaker 11: with the current law that has passed, nobody's going to
21:26
Speaker 11: be verifying children's genitals.
21:28
Speaker 8: Adults are still you can still do that.
21:31
Speaker 11: I would love to know how that's gonna work, because
21:33
Speaker 11: when we asked about this bill, and we asked about
21:35
Speaker 11: the enforcement mechanisms. There was no plan. There was no
21:39
Speaker 11: plan at all for how this bill is going to
21:41
Speaker 11: be enforced. So if you pass the law that says
21:44
Speaker 11: men can't be in this women's space, if somebody thinks
21:47
Speaker 11: there is a man in there.
21:48
Speaker 8: What are you supposed to do? Who are you supposed
21:50
Speaker 8: to go tell? How are you going to verify that?
21:52
Speaker 3: And how many times does this actually happen?
21:54
Speaker 8: It sounds like none to me in West Virginia. So
21:57
Speaker 8: that's a great question.
21:58
Speaker 3: That's been my point on a lot of these things.
22:00
Speaker 3: And again we're talking with Kayla young Is and I
22:02
Speaker 3: get the I guess the argument or or the statements
22:06
Speaker 3: from some say, well, it's happened here, and it's happened there.
22:10
Speaker 3: We want to make sure it doesn't happen here. West
22:12
Speaker 3: Virginia is a different animal to itself.
22:14
Speaker 8: I agree with that, but I'm just know what's in
22:16
Speaker 8: front of me.
22:16
Speaker 3: I understand, I know, I understand that, But you get
22:18
Speaker 3: my point too. I'm just trying to say I think
22:21
Speaker 3: it's enough in many cases. It's another example and assistant.
22:25
Speaker 3: You can disagree with me if you want, of us
22:27
Speaker 3: creating a problem where there ain't none.
22:29
Speaker 11: Yeah, I agree, and we have plenty of problems that
22:30
Speaker 11: do exist that we should be solving. I mean, I
22:32
Speaker 11: just think that this was a poorly drafted amendment. I'm
22:35
Speaker 11: glad it came out. Mine tried to protect people that
22:38
Speaker 11: one didn't, and I just disagree with that wholeheartedly.
22:41
Speaker 3: In his interview yesterday, Delegate Acres said that, in his opinion,
22:45
Speaker 3: this was an example of why bipartisan stuff doesn't get
22:48
Speaker 3: done at the Capitol more often. That's what he said
22:51
Speaker 3: to this is a prime example.
22:53
Speaker 8: How so well, I mean, didn't support mind.
22:55
Speaker 3: Well, and well, I guess, I guess, and I'm not
22:57
Speaker 3: p ttrying to play a mind reader here, but I
22:59
Speaker 3: guess what he was trying to say is is something
23:01
Speaker 3: it seemed like what you two were saying at one
23:04
Speaker 3: point wasn't totally different at one point, but then it
23:07
Speaker 3: kind of got changed a lot.
23:09
Speaker 11: And I mean, I think that I think that he
23:12
Speaker 11: may have believed that our amendments were similar. If you
23:15
Speaker 11: look at the words on the paper, they're not in
23:17
Speaker 11: any capacity. Okay, Okay, I think that that I do
23:20
Speaker 11: believe that he genuinely thought that at one point, But
23:23
Speaker 11: I don't find that to be the case. And I
23:25
Speaker 11: also don't think that that's and that has anything to
23:27
Speaker 11: do with bipartisanship happening. We can shake hands and say
23:30
Speaker 11: hi to each other. That's just being a kind human
23:32
Speaker 11: that's not by partisanship and working together. I think one
23:35
Speaker 11: Democrat bill has run in one committee and it was
23:37
Speaker 11: one of mine. Other than that, they're rolling over us
23:41
Speaker 11: per usual. They're ninety one people. Why are they worried
23:44
Speaker 11: about my amendment? They shoot my amendments down all the time?
23:48
Speaker 3: Talked again, was delicate? Kala Young the Dave Alan showing

24:02
Speaker 3: what about the governor signing the bill yesterday? Yeah, so
24:06
Speaker 3: you were not in attendance. I don't guess yesterday when
24:08
Speaker 3: he signed the bill.
24:08
Speaker 8: I was actually at work. We were in the floor session.
24:11
Speaker 8: We were on third reading.
24:12
Speaker 11: We had probably ten bills left to go, five or
24:16
Speaker 11: six on third reading. Still we start at eleven am.
24:18
Speaker 11: For those that don't know, the bill signing was at
24:20
Speaker 11: twelve thirty am. Never in my career have I seen
24:24
Speaker 11: we stopped work, We paused work and recessed in the
24:27
Speaker 11: middle of the workday so folks could go to a
24:30
Speaker 11: bill signing for the governor's landmark piece of legislation. These
24:33
Speaker 11: people cannot sit here and tell me that this is
24:35
Speaker 11: not the most important thing to them when we are
24:38
Speaker 11: pausing what we're doing for them to go sign this bill.
24:41
Speaker 8: It's unbelievable.
24:42
Speaker 3: Now the you know, Governor Patrick Morrisey ran on one
24:47
Speaker 3: when of these were one of the things that he
24:49
Speaker 3: that he said that he wanted to get done as governor. Okay,
24:53
Speaker 3: so what would you say to people that say, this
24:56
Speaker 3: is what West Virginia voted for. West Virginia overwhelmingly voting
25:01
Speaker 3: at the top, you know, for Trump. But let's keep
25:03
Speaker 3: it on state level, Hill, I mean, you know more
25:05
Speaker 3: c it was a runaway in the race for governor.
25:10
Speaker 3: What would you say to people to say, hey, we're
25:12
Speaker 3: good with this is what we voted for.
25:14
Speaker 11: No, I think that's absolutely right, and I think this
25:16
Speaker 11: is what they voted for. I don't think they really
25:18
Speaker 11: thought it through how it's going to work out in practice.
25:21
Speaker 11: I mean, technically, the law that they signed says that
25:23
Speaker 11: men can't go into women's locker rooms yesterday. Locker rooms
25:27
Speaker 11: is the only part that mentioned sports. This bill is
25:29
Speaker 11: not about sports. It mentions bathrooms and locker rooms, not
25:33
Speaker 11: playing sports. So then I would posture that the bill
25:35
Speaker 11: signed in the law means that every coach at the
25:38
Speaker 11: women's state championship going on right now can't legally be
25:41
Speaker 11: in that locker room as of yesterday.
25:43
Speaker 3: That's what that That's the way you see it.
25:45
Speaker 11: That's what the law says. That's what the law says
25:48
Speaker 11: as of yesterday. Yes West Virginians did vote for that.
25:51
Speaker 11: Per the mailers in my mailbox, I'm pretty sure that
25:53
Speaker 11: they run on these issues and then continue to run.
25:56
Speaker 8: On these issues. I think I got six pieces of
25:58
Speaker 8: mail about myself on.
25:59
Speaker 11: The issue alone. This is all they're talking about. Meanwhile,
26:03
Speaker 11: everyone's utility bills are through the roof, food is so expensive.
26:08
Speaker 8: We're not doing real things. These are made up problems.
26:12
Speaker 3: It's I mean, it's low hanging fruit.
26:15
Speaker 11: It's low hanging fruit. And we've signed five bills into law.
26:17
Speaker 11: One of them is banning a form of voting that
26:19
Speaker 11: doesn't exist in West Virginia. Another one's this one that
26:23
Speaker 11: does nothing, and three yere tax bills. We just have
26:26
Speaker 11: to do.
26:27
Speaker 8: What are we doing to help people?
26:29
Speaker 3: And I was going to get this a little bit
26:31
Speaker 3: later on. I'm a little bit and again I'm not
26:33
Speaker 3: in legislature. I've been around it, but I don't know
26:35
Speaker 3: what all goes into it. But I can tell you
26:38
Speaker 3: that as a taxpayer, not a talk show host. As
26:40
Speaker 3: a taxpayer, it does bother me. It worth the thirty
26:43
Speaker 3: day session. And this is what we've gotten done so far.
26:46
Speaker 3: And in the meantime, people in McDowell County are trying
26:49
Speaker 3: to put their lives back together. In the meantime, we
26:51
Speaker 3: still have a foster care crisis. We have kids living
26:53
Speaker 3: six and seven at sometimes in hotel rooms. And I'm
26:56
Speaker 3: not saying these things aren't being looked at. I don't
26:58
Speaker 3: want to say that because I know Republicans and Democrats
27:01
Speaker 3: are looking at these things. They're trying to do what
27:03
Speaker 3: they can. However, we're not accomplishing, in my opinion, Delegate
27:08
Speaker 3: a whole lot.
27:08
Speaker 11: I would agree with that, and I mean I will
27:10
Speaker 11: give the majority a little credit. There have been some
27:12
Speaker 11: good foster care bills. There have been some good childcare
27:15
Speaker 11: bills in several of the committees. I agree we are
27:18
Speaker 11: starting to make process on these things, but we haven't
27:20
Speaker 11: accomplished very few of them, very very very few. But
27:24
Speaker 11: meanwhile they're trampling over themselves and pausing business to make
27:28
Speaker 11: sure this gets done. Those priorities are out of whack.
27:30
Speaker 3: Somebody said a text here, and I don't mean to
27:32
Speaker 3: laugh about this, but it says, does the laws say
27:34
Speaker 3: men janitors can't clean women's bathrooms?
27:37
Speaker 11: It doesn't mention that actually great question that these are
27:40
Speaker 11: the questions that we ask ourselves because how do these
27:43
Speaker 11: things work in practice? I think it's a great headline, right,
27:46
Speaker 11: But in practice, what does this actually mean? It means
27:49
Speaker 11: that you can go out and harass people when there's
27:51
Speaker 11: no enforcer, everyone becomes an enforcer, and that's a problem
27:55
Speaker 11: and we should reject it.
27:56
Speaker 3: I was trying to get the uh ok here. It
27:58
Speaker 3: is a Delegate flu Hardy said Republicans are more concerned
28:01
Speaker 3: with genitals than jobs.
28:03
Speaker 11: They are, They absolutely are, and I mean they're also
28:06
Speaker 11: concerned with my amendment, apparently because they won't stop talking
28:09
Speaker 11: about it. Their House caucus sent out another press release
28:11
Speaker 11: today in the Democratic Party press release, not the caucus.
28:15
Speaker 8: But I don't work for the party.
28:16
Speaker 11: I'm a member of the legislature, and I'm pretty sure
28:19
Speaker 11: I criticized Democrats. I'm probably the only Democrat openly criticizing
28:24
Speaker 11: Democrats often on this show. Even you know that I
28:27
Speaker 11: asked the last president to not run for office.
28:30
Speaker 8: So I'm not like Shine.
28:32
Speaker 3: We took a lot on and you took a lot
28:34
Speaker 3: of crap for that.
28:35
Speaker 8: I mean, okay, that's awesome.
28:36
Speaker 3: I mean no, and I'm saying that you stood up.
28:39
Speaker 3: My point is is I'm agreeing with you, is that
28:42
Speaker 3: you don't always party, you don't always toe the line here.
28:44
Speaker 3: You were one of the early ones. You got national
28:46
Speaker 3: attention for asking Joe Biden not to run.
28:48
Speaker 8: That's right I did.
28:49
Speaker 11: But meanwhile, so the Democratic Party put out a press release,
28:52
Speaker 11: not me. I put a quote in it, and now
28:55
Speaker 11: they're attacking me for one amendment.
28:57
Speaker 8: This isn't about me.
28:59
Speaker 11: We should focus on the next thirty days and running
29:02
Speaker 11: meaningful legislation.
29:03
Speaker 3: It's already been signed into law, so it's a done deal. Yeah,
29:07
Speaker 3: I mean, does it go to court? You think in
29:08
Speaker 3: your opinion?
29:09
Speaker 2: I mean.
29:12
Speaker 11: Somebody would have to file a suit and I don't
29:13
Speaker 11: I don't know what that would look like. That's somebody
29:15
Speaker 11: else has done.
29:15
Speaker 3: All right, what are you working on today? Let's get
29:17
Speaker 3: away from this issue for a moment. What's uh, what's
29:20
Speaker 3: what's positive in the world today?
29:21
Speaker 11: I don't know if it's positive, but where what do
29:23
Speaker 11: you want today? Is the bill before us today that
29:25
Speaker 11: I have is allowing more money and elections. They're going
29:28
Speaker 11: to allow corporations to directly donate to campaigns. No one
29:32
Speaker 11: asked me to do that, to allow more money in politics.
29:36
Speaker 11: And then we have a bill about standing up on
29:38
Speaker 11: a motorcycle, legalizing.
29:41
Speaker 3: It, legalizing sending it on the motorcycle. Yep, okay, all right,
29:45
Speaker 3: what's your take on the And I promise to let
29:48
Speaker 3: you go because you've got to go. What what's your
29:50
Speaker 3: take on? And I'm going to talk about this a
29:51
Speaker 3: little bit later on, about the bill that would make
29:54
Speaker 3: judicial racist partisan again, something that the Republicans pushed for
29:58
Speaker 3: ten years ago.
29:59
Speaker 11: I haven't read that much into that one, and I'm
30:02
Speaker 11: less worried about it. The one I am more worried
30:03
Speaker 11: about that I don't know is running or not? Is
30:06
Speaker 11: the primary elections being closed to independent voters. We know
30:09
Speaker 11: the Republican parties already closed their primary elections to any
30:13
Speaker 11: independent voters moving forward, but now they want to make
30:16
Speaker 11: that a state law. And I know both parties have
30:18
Speaker 11: gone back and forth on that, but I think voters
30:20
Speaker 11: should be allowed to be independent if they want to,
30:22
Speaker 11: and they should be allowed to vote in whichever primary
30:24
Speaker 11: they want to. So I'm worried about that bill. We've
30:26
Speaker 11: had several election bills that have passed. That one has
30:29
Speaker 11: been okay, a couple of suppressed voters a little bit.
30:32
Speaker 11: But we've had a lot of elections bills, a lot
30:35
Speaker 11: of criminal penalties bills, not a lot of great foster
30:38
Speaker 11: care stuff. Some some people are working on it, but
30:41
Speaker 11: I hope we'll see more and I think.

32:18
Speaker 4: grocery shelves, hiking prices even more when we're already struggling. Worse,
32:23

33:53
Speaker 3: As you may imagine, I got a lot of text
33:55
Speaker 3: to get to it. I'm going to get to as
33:56
Speaker 3: many of those as I can before we get to
33:58
Speaker 3: some other things going on. Says did she vote against
34:01
Speaker 3: his amendment? That's the point. Democrats didn't say a word
34:03
Speaker 3: and then blasted them and a press release keep it up, Dems.
34:06
Speaker 3: You have less than a dozen total delegates and senators.
34:09
Speaker 3: Next session, you'll cauck us in a coat closet, says
34:12
Speaker 3: a text Collins WI one to the match. She tells
34:18
Speaker 3: lies and she lies about jb Acres. All right, I'm
34:21
Speaker 3: not reading that part. These fools. These are foolish line
34:25
Speaker 3: scare tactics that will stop at nothing. Keep it up, Dems,
34:28
Speaker 3: we are going to keep winning. Text says. The Dems
34:32
Speaker 3: are in such a dire strait they can't even demand
34:34
Speaker 3: a roll call. Text. We are worried about what you
34:37
Speaker 3: do because what you do is a lie. Kayla Young says,
34:40
Speaker 3: Riley Gaines is a bigot. How so, Delegate Young says,
34:49
Speaker 3: the voters didn't think it through when we voted. Give
34:51
Speaker 3: me a break, says a Texter.
34:53
Speaker 13: Yeah.
34:53
Speaker 3: And that's the point I was trying to make, is
34:56
Speaker 3: that you know, Governor Morrissey and the other Republicans we're
35:00
Speaker 3: running for governor lay these things on the line, and
35:05
Speaker 3: they said this is what we want to do, and
35:08
Speaker 3: West Virginia knew that. And I don't know, but there's
35:11
Speaker 3: a whole lot of buyer's remorse on behalf of the
35:13
Speaker 3: folks that voted because this is what they voted for.
35:15
Speaker 3: Like it or not, this is what the majority of
35:18
Speaker 3: West Virginians voted for. Sex says, let's cut to the chase.
35:23
Speaker 3: There's no lie a Democrat won't tell it in order
35:25
Speaker 3: to perpetrate transgenderism, says a Tanks term question for Kayla Young.
35:34
Speaker 3: Since a reality TV star and they're wrestling, are closing
35:37
Speaker 3: the Department of Education and sending it to the states,
35:39
Speaker 3: what is the Westernia government planning to do with those programs?
35:42
Speaker 3: Are there any bills and works for that supporting students
35:45
Speaker 3: with disabilities? For example? I'm sorry I did not get
35:47
Speaker 3: to that while a delegate youngest here. I will try
35:49
Speaker 3: next time she's on the show or sooner. I will
35:51
Speaker 3: try to get an answer for you on that tick,
36:01
Speaker 3: says Kayla. Unfortunately, people are going to identify Democrats with
36:04
Speaker 3: a national party which has totally gone off the left end,
36:07
Speaker 3: and I believe that's your biggest struggle it, says a Texter.
36:11
Speaker 3: I would have a tendency to agree with that with
36:13
Speaker 3: that text, Texas Dave, why in God's name do we
36:19
Speaker 3: need to be listening but people discussing other people's genitals
36:23
Speaker 3: on the radio. How does this help West Virginia struggling
36:25
Speaker 3: to buy groceries, pay their utilties, find good jobs, or
36:27
Speaker 3: getting education and healthcare. Stop being stupid, it's rotting fruit
36:31
Speaker 3: to the ground. Stop picking it up. Well, look, the
36:35
Speaker 3: job of a talk show host is to talk about
36:38
Speaker 3: what people are talking about. And on Tuesday night, I
36:43
Speaker 3: don't know about starting it. Actually late Tuesday afternoon, that's
36:47
Speaker 3: all my social media was was people talking about this
36:51
Speaker 3: back and forth involving Delegate Acres and later of the
36:54
Speaker 3: State Democratic Party and so on and so forth. So,
36:56
Speaker 3: you know, spare me the media thing. As I get
37:00
Speaker 3: it's so damn tired of hearing about the media. We
37:03
Speaker 3: I can't speak for all members in the media. I
37:05
Speaker 3: talk about what other people are talking about, and this
37:07
Speaker 3: is what they're talking about. Like it or not, I'd
37:10
Speaker 3: trust me. I'd much rather be talking about dogs or
37:13
Speaker 3: cheeseburgers or something like that. But the job of a
37:15
Speaker 3: talk show host is to talk about what people are
37:17
Speaker 3: talking about, and that's what they're talking about. By you know,
37:21
Speaker 3: by his evidence is all of the ten thousand texts
37:24
Speaker 3: I probably won't get to today. Texas, the Republicans are
37:28
Speaker 3: just plainly mental ill mentally ill Texas Caucus in a
37:35
Speaker 3: coat closet. Republicans certainly know a lot about being in
37:37
Speaker 3: the closet, says a texture. Texas Republicans are mad at
37:43
Speaker 3: calab because she's got them associated with wanting to verify
37:45
Speaker 3: Genitalia Republicans. Republicans don't want their intentions exposed, says a texture.
37:56
Speaker 3: You know, says a texture. For decades, scientists has said
37:59
Speaker 3: that the brain is not fully developed until the age
38:01
Speaker 3: twenty five. So, using their own research, which we were
38:04
Speaker 3: lectured to do, trust the no child under eighteen can mentally,
38:08
Speaker 3: emotionally or physologically grasp long term and lifelong consequences of
38:12
Speaker 3: choosing gender. Leave kids alone, says the texture Texas. Maybe
38:17
Speaker 3: you should get in touch with your party leaders in
38:18
Speaker 3: d C about pushing these social issues on the people
38:21
Speaker 3: and making them your party's priorities. That's why thousands have
38:25
Speaker 3: left the Democratic Party, including myself. As a text tex says, Okay,
38:31
Speaker 3: that one was the same one. Sometimes they repeat themselves
38:34
Speaker 3: for some reason. Texas Delegate Young sounds energetic. That's respectable,
38:38
Speaker 3: But her and the rest of the legislative leadership better
38:40
Speaker 3: start working on economic jobs, roads Pei so on, and
38:45
Speaker 3: so forth as a texture Tex says day the majority
38:49
Speaker 3: of West Virginia citizens voted for common sense and are
38:52
Speaker 3: sick of the ridiculous Democratic agenda, says a text. Vaccines
38:58

39:18
Speaker 3: Chili Shootout will be out and it's part of the
39:20
Speaker 3: event some live pro wrestling on the lot of the market.
39:24
Speaker 3: Adam Harris, now you know him from Mountain Stage, but
39:28
Speaker 3: you may not have known he is one of the
39:30
Speaker 3: most sought after pro wrestling ring announcers around the country.
39:34
Speaker 3: He'll be ring announcing this event Saturday afternoon after the
39:36
Speaker 3: Green Chili Shootout. And the best thing about the wrestling
39:39
Speaker 3: party is it's absolutely free, no charge whatsoever to attend.
39:42
Speaker 3: A lot of people did last year was packed last
39:44
Speaker 3: year at the end of the Green Chili shootouts, So
39:46
Speaker 3: we'll talk to Adam Harris about that. Plus State Democratic
39:49
Speaker 3: Party chair and Delegate Mike Pushkin will be on the
39:52
Speaker 3: show tomorrow as well. A little plug for the show
39:57
Speaker 3: that Amanda Baron and I will be doing on the
39:58
Speaker 3: Metro News network of STAF many of them anyway, including
40:02
Speaker 3: this one, starting on March twenty fourth, one week from Monday.
40:06
Speaker 3: It's called Metro News Midday. It'll air from noon till three.
40:08
Speaker 3: Now you know, Amanda of course host of Tonight Live,
40:11
Speaker 3: which airs statewide at five point thirty on the next
40:13
Speaker 3: to our family of stations and seen locally here on
40:16
Speaker 3: WOWK TV thirteen here in the Charleston Huntings Market. Now
40:19
Speaker 3: show handle most of the duties starting at nude think
40:22
Speaker 3: maybe noon to like one little bit after one that
40:24
Speaker 3: I'll join the show after one with Amanda and we'll
40:27
Speaker 3: take it up three o'clock. Well, I'll take it up
40:29
Speaker 3: three because somewhere in at one o'clock hour most days
40:32
Speaker 3: she's got to escape to her real job, you know,
40:33
Speaker 3: down the street. She's not leaving WWK by the way,
40:37
Speaker 3: She's going to do both kind of a little partnership
40:39
Speaker 3: between the two news entities. It is going to be
40:42
Speaker 3: a news show, but with some fun stuff thrown in
40:44
Speaker 3: there as well, and chances for you to weigh in
40:47
Speaker 3: on the issues that impact West Virginia. We'll, of course
40:50
Speaker 3: talk about national stuff as it pertains to West Virginia,
40:53
Speaker 3: much like we do on this show. I'm looking forward
40:56
Speaker 3: to it. I hope you will tune in. One thing
40:58
Speaker 3: I really want to do, And you know, you start
41:00
Speaker 3: a show with all kinds of ideas, and I've been
41:03
Speaker 3: doing this show for five years. This may all be
41:06
Speaker 3: five years. The show I'm doing now was nothing like
41:08
Speaker 3: the show I did in twenty twenty. It wasn't really
41:11
Speaker 3: like the show I did last year either. Things changed.
41:13
Speaker 3: But one of the things I want to do specifically
41:15
Speaker 3: in that maybe let's say two to three or maybe
41:17
Speaker 3: two fifteen to three time slot, I really really want
41:21
Speaker 3: to ramp up the phone calls in the text to
41:24
Speaker 3: talk to people in West Virginia and to let them
41:27
Speaker 3: tell their stories about things. We're going to talk about news,
41:29
Speaker 3: We're going to talk about politics. I'm going to do
41:31
Speaker 3: what I do basically an expanded version of this show.
41:34
Speaker 3: I'm still doing this show. By the way, I'm not
41:36
Speaker 3: going to stop not giving up this show. Sorry to
41:39
Speaker 3: the person who complained about that on social media or
41:42
Speaker 3: on the Steam release I should say last week, but
41:46
Speaker 3: I hope you check it out. March twenty fourth is
41:49
Speaker 3: the launch date. Eventually we'll get to Metro News Television,
41:54
Speaker 3: but we're probably just going to start off on radio,
41:56
Speaker 3: several stations around the state, including this one Noon to three.
42:00
Speaker 3: You know, Dan Bongino is currently and that's a lot.
42:02
Speaker 3: Dan Bongino is ending his show as he joins the
42:06
Speaker 3: Trump administration, which I'm sure you've heard about, and we
42:09
Speaker 3: want to give that time basically back to West Virginia.
42:14
Speaker 3: That's the that's the whole idea. We want to give
42:17
Speaker 3: it back to West Virginia to talk about West Virginia stuff.
42:20
Speaker 3: And some of it will be like the things we
42:22
Speaker 3: talk about here on this show, and some of it's
42:24
Speaker 3: going to be, you know, fun stuff, and some of
42:26
Speaker 3: it's going to be ridiculous, because well I'm hosting him
42:29
Speaker 3: at least part of it. A man, this part won't
42:30
Speaker 3: be ridiculous. My part will be ridiculous. So anyway, March
42:33
Speaker 3: twenty fourth, it'll air on this and several other radio
42:36
Speaker 3: stations who out to stay to West Virginia from noon
42:38
Speaker 3: two three. And we made the announcement last week on Friday,
42:43
Speaker 3: and I was listening to Steam Release with TJ and
42:48
Speaker 3: Wilson that day and some of the responses didn't fail me,
42:51
Speaker 3: and I wanted to say this and to the guy
42:55
Speaker 3: who is presuming who's I'm presuming this guy was a
42:58
Speaker 3: local guy upset about the liberal Dave Allen doing the show. Well,
43:05
Speaker 3: I mean, I guess that would depend on who you
43:08
Speaker 3: who you ask. I mean, I was a two time
43:12
Speaker 3: Republican Party president of Putnam County, and I seem to
43:15
Speaker 3: remember a couple of years ago that I thought they
43:17
Speaker 3: were going to practically burn the building down here because
43:21
Speaker 3: of some things I had said on my stance on
43:24
Speaker 3: the criminally homeless and also on needle exchange program. Both
43:27
Speaker 3: of those I am thoroughly one hundred percent again, so
43:29
Speaker 3: I'm not sure if that makes me a liberal. Now,
43:31
Speaker 3: the fact that I don't worship at the throne of
43:34
Speaker 3: Donald Trump like a lot of West Virginias do you
43:36
Speaker 3: can take issue with me on that and that makes
43:38
Speaker 3: me a liberal? Well, there's nothing I can do about that.
43:41
Speaker 3: But anyway, all right, I understand we got a call
43:43
Speaker 3: on the line, Ryan, I gotta take the break. We'll
43:45
Speaker 3: come back. We'll get to the call. Plus more texts

49:45
Speaker 3: Quickly and I and we are going to go to
49:46
Speaker 3: the capitol here momentarily. So yesterday, uh, there was legislation,
49:50
Speaker 3: you know, being discussed and read the story Brad's got
49:52
Speaker 3: at wut metro news dot com about our judges now
49:55
Speaker 3: being partisan. The Republican Party who wanted to end partisanship
49:59
Speaker 3: now they want it back again. As if you can't
50:03
Speaker 3: do a simple Google search of someone to find out
50:05
Speaker 3: what their political party is. One of the delegates or
50:08
Speaker 3: one of the senators, I should say Senator Willis said
50:11
Speaker 3: something about liberal activist judges and things of that nature. Well,
50:15
Speaker 3: the Republicans were the ones who put this in here
50:17
Speaker 3: to begin with. They're the ones that came out ten
50:18
Speaker 3: years ago and said we do not want it to
50:21
Speaker 3: be partisan. But now they do want it to be partisan.
50:24
Speaker 3: So we'll see how that all works out. Let's go
50:27
Speaker 3: to the Capitol. Now, let's bring in Wilson and Meadows. Hey, guys,
50:32
Speaker 3: good morning, Dave. How we do I don't think you're ugly,

50:41
Speaker 3: and say, you've got a face for radio, because god knows,
50:43
