• 0:04
Speaker 1: Hey, hello, friends from across the nation and around the world.
• 0:08
Speaker 1: I'm Martin, and you are listening to Dad's Bedtime Stories,
• 0:12
Speaker 1: the podcast that takes listener ideas and turns them into
• 0:16
Speaker 1: bedtime stories. And recently it's been a midweek tradition to
• 0:21
Speaker 1: make my second story of the week a wizard Craft story,
• 0:26
Speaker 1: and that's exactly what I'm going to do today. Now.
• 0:30
Speaker 1: The story for today's episode is a little bit strange
• 0:33
Speaker 1: because I got a message from one of my Patreon sponsors, Cayden. Hey, Cayden,
• 0:39
Speaker 1: how's it going, to let me know that he'd sent
• 0:43
Speaker 1: me a speak pipe message about an Emerald gol om
• 0:47
Speaker 1: or about Emerald Golams that replicate really quickly. So I
• 0:53
Speaker 1: went in to speak Pipe and I searched for messages
• 0:55
Speaker 1: about Emerald Golams and I found them, not paying attention
• 0:59
Speaker 1: to the name of the person who put them in,
• 1:03
Speaker 1: and I made up the story, and then I realized
• 1:07
Speaker 1: when I came here to record it that it was
• 1:10
Speaker 1: actually a second Emerald Golum suggestion. And I have no
• 1:15
  Speaker 1: idea where Caden's is, so Kaiden, I can't. I don't
• 1:18
Speaker 1: know what happened. There were a couple stories I got
• 1:21
Speaker 1: where I couldn't actually hear the suggestion, so maybe one
• 1:24
Speaker 1: of those was yours. But yeah, I'm going to kind
• 1:28
Speaker 1: of incorporate the two of them together, so Kaiden's idea
• 1:31
Speaker 1: about replicating Emerald Golams as well as this one.
• 1:36
Speaker 2: Hi, my name is Nora and I'm from a Red
• 1:42
Speaker 2: Deer County, Alberta, and I would like to suggest a
• 1:46
Speaker 2: story for the wizard Craft series where you find an
• 1:51
Speaker 2: Emerald golmspell book and the Emerald Golmes can turn into cats,
• 1:57
Speaker 2: and the first one you make has is a gold
• 2:02
Speaker 2: collar with emeralds in it, and you can make one
• 2:08
Speaker 2: once per week. Thank you, I love your podcast.
• 2:13
Speaker 1: Thank you Nora, and thank you Caten, because I'm going
• 2:17
Speaker 1: to kind of put those ideas together for today's episode
• 2:21
Speaker 1: replicating Emerald Golams that can also turn into cats. The
• 2:28
Speaker 1: cat thing was the hardest, the hardest one to come
• 2:30
Speaker 1: up with. Now it's time to close your eyes, get
• 2:36
Speaker 1: as comfy as you can in that bed, and imagine
• 2:39
Speaker 1: yourself doing what the kid in the story does. Now,
• 2:46
Speaker 1: if you don't remember from last time, we actually ended
• 2:49
Speaker 1: it in a safe room and a bit of a
• 2:52
Speaker 1: dungeon where we just got some cool stuff, and that's
• 2:55
Speaker 1: that's where we'll be starting tonight. You week up with
• 3:00
Speaker 1: a set of words floating in front of your eyes.
• 3:03
Speaker 1: Wake up. You mentally select yes, and the world slowly
• 3:09
Speaker 1: forms around you. Only this time you're not inside your
• 3:14
Speaker 1: house or in the still unnamed mountain village. You're lying
• 3:19
Speaker 1: inside one of three beds in a strange Dungeons safe room.
• 3:26
Speaker 1: For a second, you completely forget where you are. Then
• 3:31
Speaker 1: another screen appears. Congratulations. Character progress summary available. Current player
• 3:40

• 5:01
Speaker 1: room objective. Continue exploring the Dungeon realm. The prompt disappears,
• 5:11
Speaker 1: and you look around. JD is asleep in the bed
• 5:15
Speaker 1: beside you, and Grayson is on the other side. Surrounding
• 5:20
Speaker 1: all three beds or three diamond golams and three golden
• 5:25
Speaker 1: Golams standing perfectly still, exactly as you order them to do.
• 5:31
Speaker 1: And further across the room are three massive diamond golam
• 5:36
Speaker 1: mech suits, powered down with their arms hanging at their sides.
• 5:41
Speaker 1: Oh yeah, you say, dungeon. Then your eyes drift towards
• 5:48
Speaker 1: your inventory and you remember something considerably more interesting. The
• 5:55
Speaker 1: books you reach into your inventory produce the first book.
• 6:02
Speaker 1: It's the Wizard's Skill Tree book you found inside the
• 6:05
Speaker 1: massive golden chest after defeating the three diamond Golams yesterday.
• 6:11
Speaker 1: You hold it out in front of you. All right,
• 6:15
Speaker 1: let's see what this does. You open it and time
• 6:20
Speaker 1: freezes around you. The pages begin flipping on their own.
• 6:26
Speaker 1: Memories suddenly crash into your mind, but not memories of
• 6:31
Speaker 1: any particular spell, this time memories of magic itself. You
• 6:37
Speaker 1: remember standing in front of targets and creating tiny flames
• 6:41
Speaker 1: again and again without wasting even the smallest amount of mana.
• 6:48
Speaker 1: You remember learning to pull magical energy from the world
• 6:52
Speaker 1: around you into your body faster and faster. You remember
• 6:59
Speaker 1: casting spell after spell, feeling your mono drain away and
• 7:05
Speaker 1: then refill. When the pages stop flipping, the book dissolves
• 7:13
Speaker 1: and another prompt appears. Congratulations, you have unlocked Advanced Wizard.
• 7:22
Speaker 1: All spell Mona costs have been reduced by half again.
• 7:28
Speaker 1: Mona regeneration speed has been doubled. Your mona bar flash
• 7:35
Speaker 1: is bright blue. Okay, that's useful, you say, now useful.
• 7:43
Speaker 1: JD asks, Well, apparently everything costs half as much mona again,
• 7:50
Speaker 1: so compared to when we started. Yeah, I can cast
• 7:56
Speaker 1: a lot more magic now, man it comes back twice
• 8:00
Speaker 1: as fast. Yep, Grayson walks over. That's almost unfair, you shrug.
• 8:10
Speaker 1: I'm okay with unfair. Then you reach into your inventory
• 8:14
Speaker 1: again and pull out the second book. A picture of
• 8:18
Speaker 1: a golam with glowing laser eyes is drawn across the front. Oh,
• 8:24
Speaker 1: I definitely want this one. You flip open the Laser
• 8:29
Speaker 1: Golum spell book once again. Time freezes. Memories begin to
• 8:36
Speaker 1: pour into your mind. You remember standing in front of
• 8:41
Speaker 1: stone golums copper golums, iron golams, and well stranger golams
• 8:47
Speaker 1: you've never even seen before. You Remember reaching into that
• 8:51
Speaker 1: magical spark that gives a goldam life, and not removing it,
• 8:56
Speaker 1: but changing it. Remember creating little pathways through their bodies,
• 9:04
Speaker 1: mono pathways that gather magic energy and directed upward into
• 9:10
Speaker 1: the head, into the eyes. You see Golum's firing beams
• 9:17
Speaker 1: of concentrated magical energy powerful enough to burn holes through stone.
• 9:24
Speaker 1: Then you understand one final limitation. The book slams shut
• 9:30
Speaker 1: and disintegrates. Congratulations, Laser Golum spell unlocked. This smell may
• 9:40
Speaker 1: be used once per week. Laser strength is determined by
• 9:45
Speaker 1: the power and material of the upgraded golum once a week.
• 9:51
Speaker 1: Why is that, you say? Complicated spells take a toll
• 9:57
Speaker 1: on your mind. Increase in your mental fortitude may increase
• 10:03
Speaker 1: the number of times you can use spells in a
• 10:07
Speaker 1: given period, But for now, one time per week is
• 10:13
Speaker 1: the limit. How fine, Well, I think we both know
• 10:20
Speaker 1: what we're going to use it on today. Absolutely, jd answers.
• 10:26
Speaker 1: You look at the diamond golm you created yourself. Diamond,
• 10:32
Speaker 1: come over here. The enormous creature walks forward what are
• 10:39
Speaker 1: your orders? H Do you want laser eyes? You ask?
• 10:47
Speaker 1: The Golam pauses thanks for a second, and answers yes.
• 10:56
Speaker 1: You place one hand against the Diamond Golum's chest. Your
• 11:01
Speaker 1: mana reaches inside. You can feel the spark of life
• 11:06
Speaker 1: placed there when you first created them. You follow that
• 11:11
Speaker 1: strange new memory you received, and magical pathways begin forming
• 11:17
Speaker 1: throughout the diamond Golum. Thin glowing lines spread upward from
• 11:23
Speaker 1: his chest, across his shoulders, through the neck, and finally
• 11:29
Speaker 1: into his head. Both of his eyes begin glowing bright red.
• 11:35
Speaker 1: The spell finishes. The Golum looks down at you. Laser
• 11:42
Speaker 1: systems active. Well dry them, you say. The Golum turns
• 11:50
Speaker 1: toward a stone wall. Two beams of bright red energy
• 11:55
Speaker 1: explode from its eyes. The lasers instantly burn two holes
• 12:00
Speaker 1: into the stone. Everyone stares. The Golum turns back. I
• 12:09
Speaker 1: like the lasers. You laugh, good, I'm glad. Can mine
• 12:16
Speaker 1: have lasers? JD asks next week? Ah? Once per week
• 12:24
Speaker 1: is once per week? You look around at everyone. All right, well,
• 12:30
Speaker 1: I guess it's time to continue. You walk over to
• 12:33
Speaker 1: your diamond golam mechsuit. The back opens up and you
• 12:39
Speaker 1: climb inside. As the diamond darmer closes around you, the
• 12:44
Speaker 1: neurro connector presses gently against the back of your head.
• 12:49
Speaker 1: For just a second, you feel that strange, tingling sensation.
• 12:55
Speaker 1: Then your mind connects. Your body suddenly feel enormous. Your
• 13:03
Speaker 1: arms aren't really your arms anymore. They're huge diamond mechanical arms.
• 13:10
Speaker 1: Your legs are several times longer, and you can feel
• 13:14
Speaker 1: the magical power sells inside your chest like their organs
• 13:20
Speaker 1: or something. You look towards the doorway and your two
• 13:25
Speaker 1: shoulder mounted lasers instinctively turn with your eyes JD and
• 13:30
Speaker 1: Grace and activate their suits beside you. Ready. JD asks
• 13:36
Speaker 1: through his mech suit. Ready, you say, you look toward
• 13:42
Speaker 1: your six golams. Everyone follow us. Understood the golams all
• 13:50
Speaker 1: answer at once. You leave the safe room through the
• 13:55
Speaker 1: doorway at the opposite end. Immediately, another purple poor comes
• 14:00
Speaker 1: to life. Wow, Grayson says, I guess that's where we're going.
• 14:07
Speaker 1: You stemp through the world flashes, and suddenly you find
• 14:12
Speaker 1: yourself standing in a gigantic green stone chamber. Emeralds glow
• 14:18
Speaker 1: from the walls, Emeralds glow from the ceiling. There are
• 14:24
Speaker 1: emeralds everywhere. Wow, this is promising, you say, and then
• 14:33
Speaker 1: something drops from the ceiling. A humanoid creature lands directly
• 14:39
Speaker 1: in front of you. It's a golum, an emerald golum.
• 14:46
Speaker 1: It's only about the size of one of your stone golums,
• 14:50
Speaker 1: considerably smaller than the diamond ones. But something about the
• 14:54
Speaker 1: way it stands seems different. It crouches low, one leg forward,
• 15:02
Speaker 1: both hands open, like some kind of ninja, and then
• 15:10
Speaker 1: another one drops beside it, then another, then a whole
• 15:15
Speaker 1: bunch more, And if that weren't bad enough, the golams
• 15:21
Speaker 1: start to glow. They split in half and stretch apart
• 15:28
Speaker 1: into two golams each. Did they just replicate? You ask? Congratulations,
• 15:39
Speaker 1: you have discovered self replicating emerald golams. Self replicating emerald
• 15:47
Speaker 1: goldams have the capability to replicate once certain conditions are met.
• 15:54
Speaker 1: Luckily for you, these golams have met those conditions. Have fun.
• 16:03
Speaker 1: The first emerald golum suddenly disappears. A what something slams
• 16:11
Speaker 1: into your back. Your entire mech suit stumbles forward. You
• 16:16
Speaker 1: spin around just in time to see the emerald golum
• 16:20
Speaker 1: leaps straight over your head. It flips in the air,
• 16:24
Speaker 1: lands on one hand and kicks both feet into the
• 16:28
Speaker 1: side of your shoulder. Now you swing at it, but
• 16:34
Speaker 1: it dodges. It's fast, really fast. Three more Emerald Golums
• 16:41
Speaker 1: leap onto your diamond golums. One runs straight up the
• 16:45
Speaker 1: side of your laser diamond Golum flips over his shoulder
• 16:50
Speaker 1: and kicks him in the back of the head. The
• 16:53
Speaker 1: Diamond Golum turns slowly, his eyes glow red zap. The
• 17:01
Speaker 1: Emerald golum barely manages to leap aside as twin lasers
• 17:05
Speaker 1: cut across the chamber wall. I like lasers. The diamond
• 17:13
Speaker 1: golum repeats, Hey, buddy, me too. Everyone attack you yell,
• 17:20
Speaker 1: and the room explodes into chaos. Golden golums transform their
• 17:26
Speaker 1: arms into blades. Diamond Golums swing enormous fists. J D
• 17:33
Speaker 1: and Grayson start to fire lightning from their mechanical suits shoulders.
• 17:40
Speaker 1: You reach out with your telekinesis and grab one of
• 17:44
Speaker 1: the emerald golums in mid air. It struggles against your magic. Normally,
• 17:50
Speaker 1: maintaining a telekinetic cold while fighting would drain your mana quickly,
• 17:55
Speaker 1: But now the mana bar barely seems to move. Must
• 18:01
Speaker 1: be the advanced wizard thingy. You slam the Emerald Golum
• 18:07
Speaker 1: into the floor, but it bounces back up. You slam
• 18:11
Speaker 1: it again. Then the laser Diamond Golum looks down and zap.
• 18:19
Speaker 1: The Emerald Golum disappears in a puff of green smoke,
• 18:24
Speaker 1: leaving behind some Emeralds. Of course, more attack. One leaps
• 18:29
Speaker 1: toward your head. You instinctively raise your diamond arm and
• 18:34
Speaker 1: catch it. It kicks and twists trying to escape. I
• 18:39
Speaker 1: got you, you say. You throw it across the room
• 18:43
Speaker 1: and JD blasts it with lightning before it hits the ground,
• 18:48
Speaker 1: causing it to disappear into smoke as well. Another rushes
• 18:52
Speaker 1: towards you. You jump up in the air and stomp.
• 18:56
Speaker 1: At just the right time, Earth magic spread heads through
• 19:00
Speaker 1: the floor and a stone pillar or erupts directly beneath
• 19:05
Speaker 1: the Golam, launching it into the ceiling. Graceon blasted with
• 19:10
Speaker 1: a shoulder laser on the way back down between the
• 19:14
Speaker 1: nine of you. The battle starts turning quickly. The Emerald
• 19:19
Speaker 1: Golams are incredibly fast and well thanks to that whole
• 19:23
Speaker 1: replicating thing at the start. There's a lot of them,
• 19:28
Speaker 1: but your team is still incredibly overpowered. And over lasered,
• 19:34
Speaker 1: especially now that one of the diamond golums can shoot
• 19:37
Speaker 1: lasers out of his eyes as well. Eventually, the last
• 19:41
Speaker 1: emerald golum attempts to flip over your head. You grab
• 19:45
Speaker 1: it with telekinesis, hold it in the air in front
• 19:49
Speaker 1: of you, and fire both shoulder lasers at once, instantly
• 19:55
Speaker 1: making the thing disappear in a puff of smoke and
• 20:00
Speaker 1: little emeralds behind. For a moment after the last one's destroyed,
• 20:06
Speaker 1: everything is silent, and then the floor starts to rumble.
• 20:12
Speaker 1: A green chest rises up out of the stone. Oh good,
• 20:19
Speaker 1: JD says loot. You walk over and the chest clicks open.
• 20:26
Speaker 1: Inside is a single book, a spell book. You pick
• 20:32
Speaker 1: it up, and across the cover is the image of
• 20:35
Speaker 1: a bright green humanoid creature. The all knowing voice immediately speaks, congratulations,
• 20:45
Speaker 1: you have discovered the emerald Golam spell. You stare down
• 20:51
Speaker 1: at it. Emerald golams can be created once per week
• 20:56
Speaker 1: and are capable of self replicating when certain conditions are met,
• 21:03
Speaker 1: most importantly proximity to other emeralds and an abundance of mana.
• 21:11
Speaker 1: You stare down at the Emerald Golums spellbook all right.
• 21:17
Speaker 1: Then you grin, I guess I know what I'm reading. Next,
• 21:22
Speaker 1: you mentally suck the book into your inventory. JD looks
• 21:28
Speaker 1: over at you. Those were definitely faster than our other goloms. Yeah,
• 21:34
Speaker 1: diamond golams are stronger, but those things move like ninjas.
• 21:39
Speaker 1: Grayson steps over to the piled of emerald pieces left
• 21:43
Speaker 1: behind by the fight, and together you absorb as many
• 21:48
Speaker 1: of the emeralds as you can. Then the group moves forward.
• 21:55
Speaker 1: You pass through a long emerald hallway before reaching another portal.
• 22:01
Speaker 1: One by one you step through the world flashes, and
• 22:07
Speaker 1: suddenly you find yourself standing on a huge grassy field.
• 22:14
Speaker 1: What you look around you and you see blue sky, trees,
• 22:22
Speaker 1: tall grass, even clouds. It looks like you're outside, But
• 22:29
Speaker 1: when you look straight up, really far above you, you
• 22:34
Speaker 1: can just barely make out stone, a stone ceiling. So
• 22:42
Speaker 1: we're still in the dungeon, Greason says, apparently. Then you
• 22:49
Speaker 1: hear something, a growl, a very deep growl. The grass
• 22:57
Speaker 1: ahead begins moving, and something huge rises out of it.
• 23:03
Speaker 1: A lion. Only this isn't like any normal lion. It's
• 23:09
Speaker 1: bigger than an elephant, its paws or almost as large
• 23:14
Speaker 1: as your mech suit. Its mane glows with faint golden magic,
• 23:21
Speaker 1: and behind it, something else rises from the grass, a tiger,
• 23:27
Speaker 1: also gigantic. Then another creature, a house cat, just an
• 23:36
Speaker 1: ordinary looking house cat, except for the fact that it's
• 23:39
Speaker 1: like forty feet long. JD pauses, that might actually be
• 23:45
Speaker 1: the scariest one. Why you ask, because it's just a
• 23:51
Speaker 1: house cat, but it's huge. The giant cat looks at
• 23:57
Speaker 1: you and it's pupils wide. Then it crouches. Oh no,
• 24:05
Speaker 1: the cat launches itself through the air. You barely get
• 24:09
Speaker 1: your arms up before it crashes into you. The four
• 24:14
Speaker 1: sends your entire mech suit sliding backward. All right, everyone,
• 24:19
Speaker 1: I guess. Attack. The lion roars and rushes the diamond golams.
• 24:25
Speaker 1: The tiger jumps onto one of the golden ones. The
• 24:29
Speaker 1: gigantic house cat tries to bite your mech suit's head.
• 24:34
Speaker 1: You push against it with both hands. Get off of me.
• 24:39
Speaker 1: You focus your telekinesis, and the cat lifts slightly. Then
• 24:46
Speaker 1: your increased mone a regeneration kicks in. You pour more
• 24:51
Speaker 1: power into the spell. The giant creature suddenly flies backward
• 24:56
Speaker 1: through the air. JD raises both mechanical hands and unleashes
• 25:03
Speaker 1: a blast of lightning. The bolt hits the cat. It
• 25:08
Speaker 1: flips backward, lands on four paws, and immediately charges again seriously.
• 25:17
Speaker 1: The lion smashes into your laser golum. The golum barely
• 25:22
Speaker 1: moves its eyes light up. I like lasers. The Golum's
• 25:31
Speaker 1: eyes begin to glow and zap. Twin laser beams hit
• 25:39
Speaker 1: the lion directly in the chest. The lion disappears into
• 25:44
Speaker 1: a puff of smoke. I really like lasers, the golam says,
• 25:53
Speaker 1: you've mentioned that. The tiger leaps onto Grayson's neck. Grayson
• 25:58
Speaker 1: grabs it around the middle. A little help here, one
• 26:03
Speaker 1: of the golden golams transforms both arms into huge blades
• 26:09
Speaker 1: and slices towards the tiger. The tiger jumps away your
• 26:14
Speaker 1: diamond goal and rushes it. Tackles it, and the other
• 26:19
Speaker 1: two diamond golums grab it, one by the tail and
• 26:24
Speaker 1: one by the front paw. Then you j D and
• 26:29
Speaker 1: Grace and all point your shoulder lasers at the thing
• 26:33
Speaker 1: and unleash a blast of laser fire, all at once.
• 26:38
Speaker 1: The tiger explodes in a puff of smoke, leaving only
• 26:43
Speaker 1: the giant housecat. It crouches again. You know exactly what
• 26:50
Speaker 1: it's about to do. You reach your mana down into
• 26:54
Speaker 1: the earth, and two enormous stone walls explode out of
• 26:59
Speaker 1: the ground on either side of the cat. You clap
• 27:02
Speaker 1: your mechanical hands together and the walls smash inward. The
• 27:08
Speaker 1: cat leaps straight up to escape, but you are expecting that.
• 27:13
Speaker 1: Your shoulder lasers track it automatically, and fire Graceon joins you,
• 27:21
Speaker 1: so does j D. Six powerful laser beams converge and
• 27:26
Speaker 1: the giant cat while it's still mid air. There's a
• 27:30
Speaker 1: flash and the creature disappears in a puff of smoke.
• 27:36
Speaker 1: You look around, everybody good. You ask good, JD says,
• 27:43
Speaker 1: guid Grayson replies, Your golums look mostly fine too. One
• 27:50
Speaker 1: of the golden golums has a huge bite mark on
• 27:52
Speaker 1: its shoulder, but it quickly liquefies and repairs the damage
• 27:59
Speaker 1: the ground and starts to rumble. A large stone pedestal
• 28:04
Speaker 1: rises in the middle of the field, and sitting on
• 28:07
Speaker 1: top of it is another book. You walk over and
• 28:12
Speaker 1: pick it up. The cover shows a person turning into
• 28:17
Speaker 1: a cat. Congratulations, you have discovered the cat transformation spell book.
• 28:27
Speaker 1: Cat transformation. JD looks at you. You're definitely going to
• 28:34
Speaker 1: read that right Well, eventually, you say. You absorb the
• 28:40
Speaker 1: book into your inventory. At the far end of the field,
• 28:45
Speaker 1: another doorway opens. You walk through it. The next section
• 28:50
Speaker 1: of the dungeon is much quieter, just a long stone
• 28:55
Speaker 1: hallway that seems to lead directly to and makes it portal.
• 29:00
Speaker 1: No golams, no giant cats, no slimes. Honestly, that makes
• 29:06
Speaker 1: you feel even more suspicious. There must be something else
• 29:11
Speaker 1: around here. You move slowly, your shoulder lasers scan left
• 29:18
Speaker 1: and right. Grayson suddenly stops. Wait what is it that wall?
• 29:28
Speaker 1: He says. You look to the right. It looks like
• 29:33
Speaker 1: a wall mostly, but one section of stone is just
• 29:38
Speaker 1: a little bit different. The lines don't match or something,
• 29:44
Speaker 1: or maybe the blocks are newer, and there's a tiny
• 29:48
Speaker 1: draft coming from one of the cracks. Secret room, you ask,
• 29:56
Speaker 1: Definitely a secret room, Grayson says, you ain't. Both your
• 30:01
Speaker 1: shoulder lasers. Everyone stand back, They don't bother you. Fire
• 30:09
Speaker 1: and the lasers blast into the stone wall. Chunks explode outward,
• 30:15
Speaker 1: dust fills the hallway, and when it clears there's an
• 30:20
Speaker 1: opening behind It is a laboratory or at least something
• 30:27
Speaker 1: that used to be a laboratory. You step inside. Broken
• 30:33
Speaker 1: tables cover the room. There are burned books everywhere. Some
• 30:39
Speaker 1: are nothing but blackened covers, others have a few pages remaining.
• 30:45
Speaker 1: Shelves line the walls, filled with old bottles, bits of emerald,
• 30:51
Speaker 1: piles of gold and strange crystals. Grayson immediately starts looking around. Wow, wow,
• 31:02
Speaker 1: what you ask? This stuff is old? Useless?
• 31:08
  Speaker 2: Old?
• 31:08
  Speaker 1: Or useful?
• 31:09
  Speaker 2: Old?
• 31:10
Speaker 1: You ask potentially very useful old. You absorb some of
• 31:17
Speaker 1: the loose emerald and golds into your inventory. Then you
• 31:21
Speaker 1: see something in the back of the room. A machine.
• 31:26
Speaker 1: It's sheaped like a tall, metal large with two platforms
• 31:30
Speaker 1: beneath it. Copper wires twist around the sides. Strange crystals
• 31:36
Speaker 1: line the top, and the middle is a round glass lens.
• 31:42
Speaker 1: Any idea what that is? You ask? Greson walks closer
• 31:48
Speaker 1: and takes a very knowing look at the machine. Now
• 31:52
Speaker 1: I have no idea what this is. That's comforting. You
• 31:57
Speaker 1: place your hand against the side. You are cane engineer
• 32:02
Speaker 1: skills activate, bits and pieces start to make sense, power conduits,
• 32:11
Speaker 1: mono channels, storage compartments, But the whole machine you just
• 32:18
Speaker 1: don't understand. It. You lean closer to examine the controls,
• 32:24
Speaker 1: and there's one large button. You press it. Why would
• 32:29
Speaker 1: you press that? JD asks? I wanted to see what
• 32:33
Speaker 1: it did. The machine suddenly hums, the crystals light up,
• 32:40
Speaker 1: and a beam of energy shoots out. It hits you
• 32:44
Speaker 1: directly in the chest. For one terrifying second, everything turns
• 32:51
Speaker 1: bright white. Then the machine turns off and you look
• 32:57
Speaker 1: down at yourself. Okay, congratulations, you have successfully combined two
• 33:08
Speaker 1: spell books into one using a spell combining machine. You
• 33:15
Speaker 1: stare blankly, oh what? The voice continues, as no target
• 33:23
Speaker 1: spell books were provided. The machine automatically selected compatible spell
• 33:29
Speaker 1: books from your inventory. Your eyes widen. Oh no. You
• 33:37
Speaker 1: open your inventory. You look for the Emerald Golum spell
• 33:41
Speaker 1: book gone. Then you look for the Cat Transformation spell
• 33:47
Speaker 1: book also gone. In their place is a single book,
• 33:54
Speaker 1: bright green. On the front is an image of an
• 33:59
  Speaker 1: Emerald Gol'm transforming into a cat. J D steps closer.
• 34:07
Speaker 1: What did you do? You pull the book out? Emerald
• 34:12
Speaker 1: Cat Goldum spell book. Grayson stares at it. Man't combined them? Apparently,
• 34:23
Speaker 1: that's incredible, also slightly annoying because they didn't tell it to.
• 34:30
Speaker 1: You press the button yeah, okay, that's fair. You stare
• 34:36
Speaker 1: at the machine, So theoretically we could combine other spells.
• 34:42
Speaker 1: Grayson looks almost too excited. Do you realize what that means? Yes,
• 34:51
Speaker 1: you answer, you didn't even know what I was gonna say. Well,
• 34:56
Speaker 1: it means we're definitely coming back to this machine in
• 34:59
Speaker 1: the future, Grace and smiles. Exactly what I was going
• 35:05
Speaker 1: to say. You look at the new spellbook. Well, I
• 35:10
Speaker 1: guess there's only one way to find out what it does.
• 35:14
Speaker 1: You mentally deactivate your mech suit. The armor opens and
• 35:19
Speaker 1: you climb out the back. Then you sit at the
• 35:24
Speaker 1: edge of the broken laboratory and you open it up.
• 35:29
Speaker 1: Time freezes and the pages begin moving. But this time
• 35:34
Speaker 1: the memories feel wrong or strange, or something not dangerous
• 35:41
Speaker 1: in any way, just weird. You remember Emerald Gola magic
• 35:47
Speaker 1: creating the body, the joints, the fast movements. Then suddenly
• 35:53
Speaker 1: the memory changes. You remember Cat transformation, magic, bones changing shape, muscles, rearranging,
• 36:04
Speaker 1: a body getting smaller, And then the memories sort of
• 36:10
Speaker 1: crash into each other goal em Cat Emerald transformation. The
• 36:18
Speaker 1: two sets of knowledge twist together in ways that clearly
• 36:22
Speaker 1: weren't originally meant to you see an emerald golum fold
• 36:28
Speaker 1: its arms inward, its shoulders rotate, its legs collapse and twist,
• 36:34
Speaker 1: Its head changes shape. Its emerald body compresses until a
• 36:40
Speaker 1: cat stands where the goalum used to be. Then the
• 36:45
Speaker 1: memories reverse the goal of unfolds back into a goal,
• 36:50
Speaker 1: and the book disappears. That was strange. You say, congratulations,
• 37:00
Speaker 1: you have unlocked the emerald cat golum spell. This is
• 37:05
Speaker 1: a unique combined spell, one of a kind due to
• 37:10
Speaker 1: the unnatural integration of two separate magical disciplines. This spell
• 37:16
Speaker 1: cannot easily be transferred to another person. You may create
• 37:22
Speaker 1: one emerald cat goldum per week. Warning. Like emerald goldams,
• 37:29
Speaker 1: emerald cat golams can reproduce when certain conditions are met.
• 37:36
Speaker 1: You stand up, well, we have plenty of emeralds. You
• 37:42
Speaker 1: dump a pile onto the floor, reach into your mana,
• 37:47
Speaker 1: and the emerald pieces start to rise. They spin, they
• 37:51
Speaker 1: smash together, legs form arms a body ahead. The finished
• 37:58
Speaker 1: golam is smaller than your diamond golams and even a
• 38:02
Speaker 1: little bit smaller than an iron golum, about the size
• 38:05
Speaker 1: of a stone golum. Its eyes light up. What ah
• 38:11
Speaker 1: your orders? You grin. I want you to turn into
• 38:17
Speaker 1: a cat. The golam pauses, and then its body begins moving.
• 38:24
Speaker 1: Its arms fold against its chest, its legs bend backward.
• 38:29
Speaker 1: The emerald plates rotate and slide over one another, like
• 38:34
Speaker 1: pieces in some kind of complicated machine. Its head folds down,
• 38:40
Speaker 1: its back compresses, Its entire body gets smaller and smaller,
• 38:46
Speaker 1: and suddenly, standing in front of you is a green
• 38:51
Speaker 1: emerald cat, about the size of a regular house cat.
• 38:57
Speaker 1: The cat looks up. Ah, your orders. The voice is
• 39:04
Speaker 1: exactly the same. Everyone stares. JD speaks, that is the
• 39:12
Speaker 1: weirdest thing you've ever made. The emerald cat sits down.
• 39:17
Speaker 1: It licks the back of its pawd rubs it against
• 39:21
Speaker 1: its emerald head. Ah, just follow us for now understood,
• 39:29
Speaker 1: the cat says. The emerald cat begins trotting along behind you.
• 39:35
Speaker 1: You climb back into your diamond Gola mech suit. The
• 39:39
Speaker 1: three of you continue deeper into the laboratory and back
• 39:44
Speaker 1: down the first hallway you found to the final portal door.
• 39:51
Speaker 1: The door lights up and you step through. The world flashes,
• 39:57
Speaker 1: and suddenly you find yourself standing back inside the final
• 40:02
Speaker 1: diamond level of the mind, right beside the original dungeon
• 40:07
Speaker 1: realm portal. You turn around, the portal behind you disappears
• 40:15
Speaker 1: together three giant mech suits, six giant golams, and one
• 40:22
Speaker 1: medium sized emerald cat that's capable of turning into a golum.
• 40:27
Speaker 1: Enter the large elevator and go back up to the
• 40:31
Speaker 1: top of the mines. Golums. You say, go about your business, understood,
• 40:39
Speaker 1: the golums say, before walking away from the area. You,
• 40:44
Speaker 1: JD and Grayson head down the steps and pull your
• 40:48
Speaker 1: gol of mech suits up to the town hall. You
• 40:53
Speaker 1: deactivate them and step out the back. I don't know
• 40:57
Speaker 1: about you, guys, but I'm tired. Yeah, me too, JD says,
• 41:05
Speaker 1: and so you head home. You look behind you to
• 41:09
Speaker 1: see an emerald cat following happily behind you. Simply shrug
• 41:16
Speaker 1: your shoulders as you enter your house. The cat runs inside,
• 41:22
Speaker 1: curls up beside the bed, and immediately begins to sleep.
• 41:28
Speaker 1: Looks like you have a new bodyguard. You lay down
• 41:33
Speaker 1: in the bed, pull the covers up over yourself, and
• 41:38
Speaker 1: close your eyes. Immediately, a prompt appears, Sleep. You select yes,
• 41:48
Speaker 1: and a wave of fatigue passes over your body. Your
• 41:53
Speaker 1: arms and legs melt into the mattress, and with each
• 41:58
Speaker 1: breath her mind begins to wander off the thoughts of
• 42:04
Speaker 1: new dreams and new adventures to come. Good night everyone,
• 43:03
Speaker 1: no no thing, no more game.
• 45:23
  Speaker 2: M m m m.
