Transcript
- 0:10Speaker 1: We welcome you to this preview edition of Birds Weekly,
- 0:13Speaker 1: presented by the Inside the Birds Network. For that famous
- 0:16Speaker 1: guy right there, Ray Dendre, I'm the infamous Derek Gunn.
- 0:20Speaker 1: And on a short week, people are still reeling from
- 0:23Speaker 1: their devastating loss to the Dallas Cowboys, but no time
- 0:27Speaker 1: to crowdver spilled milk because they have to get right
- 0:29Speaker 1: back on it on a short week and get ready
- 0:31Speaker 1: for a Chicago Bears team that has been one of
- 0:34Speaker 1: the talks of the NFC and one of the talks
- 0:37Speaker 1: of the National Football League. This is a Bears team
- 0:40Speaker 1: that rolls into town for a day after Thanksgiving showdown.
- 0:43Speaker 1: They are eight and three atop the NFC North. They
- 0:46Speaker 1: are riding a four game winning streak, and Ray, I
- 0:49Speaker 1: think it's safe to say the Bears have been one
- 0:52Speaker 1: of the biggest surprises in the National Football.
- 0:54Speaker 2: League this year. Yeah, they have been. I think most
- 0:58Speaker 2: people who know who Bench Johnson is. He was the
- 1:01Speaker 2: offensive coordinator in Detroit under Dan Campbell and really helped
- 1:06Speaker 2: resurrect that Detroit team. Certainly helped resurrect Jared Goff as
- 1:10Speaker 2: a quarterback, and everybody knew he was kind of a
- 1:13Speaker 2: head coach in waiting, and he finally got his opportunity
- 1:16Speaker 2: here in Chicago.
- 1:17Speaker 3: So I think everybody.
- 1:18Speaker 2: Kind of thought that the hitd make the Bears better,
- 1:21Speaker 2: But I don't think anybody really thought he would have
- 1:24Speaker 2: them in this spot coming into Thanksgiving week. I mean,
- 1:30Speaker 2: especially when they started the row in two and I
- 1:32Speaker 2: started to row and two and everybody said, well, you know,
- 1:34Speaker 2: it's going to take him some time. And since then
- 1:37Speaker 2: of one eight out of nine right now, they come
- 1:39Speaker 2: into this game with the Eagles and they're tied, I
- 1:43Speaker 2: mean they're both eight and three. So yeah, to say
- 1:46Speaker 2: that Ben Johnson is ahead of schedule, yeah, I think
- 1:49Speaker 2: that's real safe to say. I mean, if you were
- 1:51Speaker 2: if I were to ask you right now, if somebody
- 1:54Speaker 2: handed you a ballot and said pick your NFL coach
- 1:56Speaker 2: of the year, I think most people would say, what's
- 2:00Speaker 2: a choice between Mike Vrabel and Ben Johnson?
- 2:03Speaker 3: You know, And at this point I.
- 2:05Speaker 2: Would probably lean towards Verrabel considering where the Patriots are,
- 2:08Speaker 2: but Ben Johns would get some votes, and he should
- 2:11Speaker 2: because he's done a really good job with this team.
- 2:14Speaker 1: When you look at the teams that are jockeying for
- 2:18Speaker 1: playoff positioning, Just a few days ago, the Eagles were
- 2:22Speaker 1: the number one seed in the NFC. Now they're the
- 2:25Speaker 1: number two seed behind the La Rams, who are basically
- 2:28Speaker 1: blowing everybody off the map right now. The Chicago Bears,
- 2:32Speaker 1: as you just said, a moment ago, identical eight and
- 2:35Speaker 1: three record with the Eagles. I would say this is
- 2:39Speaker 1: I never like to use this word, but I think
- 2:41Speaker 1: in this situation, it's very pertinent. This is a must
- 2:44Speaker 1: win situation for the Eagles. When you're talking about the
- 2:47Speaker 1: head to head matchups and who could end up going
- 2:49Speaker 1: where to play who come the second half of the
- 2:52Speaker 1: NFL season.
- 2:54Speaker 2: It's very important. It's very important for those reasons. It's
- 2:58Speaker 2: also just very important to just put the Dallas game
- 3:03Speaker 2: behind you.
- 3:04Speaker 4: Hey, one thing that always scares me is the latest
- 3:07Speaker 4: financial scam. And with the holidays, it's all about finding
- 3:10Speaker 4: the perfect gift. But this time of the year, not
- 3:12Speaker 4: every deal is actually what it seems. You've got these
- 3:15Speaker 4: scammers getting more creative to trick people into sharing their
- 3:18Speaker 4: payment info through methods like fake shopping sites and giveaways.
- 3:21Speaker 4: You know they're too good to be true. Luckily, cash

- 4:16Speaker 2: If the Eagles should lose this game at home to
- 4:19Speaker 2: the Bears, on top of what they're already feeling after
- 4:23Speaker 2: the loss in Dallas, I mean, that's the kind of
- 4:26Speaker 2: thing that can start to snowball on you and the
- 4:29Speaker 2: Eagles can't allow that to start to happen, because then
- 4:32Speaker 2: all the conversation is going to be up here we
- 4:35Speaker 2: are twenty twenty three all over again, you know, and
- 4:38Speaker 2: Lord knows, I don't want to have those conversations.
- 4:41Speaker 3: I'm sure you don't.
- 4:42Speaker 2: I mean, that's kind of what you're staring at here.
- 4:44Speaker 2: I mean, the Bears team is dangerous. I mean if
- 4:46Speaker 2: you look at them statistically, I mean, first of all,
- 4:50Speaker 2: you look at the record eight and three, they're in
- 4:52Speaker 2: a tie with you. Okay, you got to respect that.
- 4:54Speaker 2: I mean there's some things about what they do and
- 4:56Speaker 2: where they are that seem a little in conc ruis,
- 5:00Speaker 2: you know. I mean they're you look statistically, i mean,
- 5:02Speaker 2: their defense I think is like twenty fifth in the league.
- 5:06Speaker 2: But they're winning, They're making plays, they're winning games in
- 5:10Speaker 2: weird ways. That have won i think four games on
- 5:14Speaker 2: their final possession, and teams that do that every time
- 5:19Speaker 2: they do that. If you have a young team, which
- 5:21Speaker 2: the Bears are, every week they get.
- 5:23Speaker 3: More confidence, you know.
- 5:24Speaker 2: And right now they're a dangerous team because they're a
- 5:27Speaker 2: young team with a lot of talent that's now just
- 5:30Speaker 2: starting to believe in themselves.
- 5:31Speaker 3: And they're not.
- 5:33Speaker 2: They're not going to come in here afraid of the
- 5:34Speaker 2: Eagles even a little bit. And and especially after they
- 5:39Speaker 2: spend all week watching the tape of what happened to
- 5:41Speaker 2: the Eagles in Dallas, the Bears are going to look
- 5:43Speaker 2: at this and say, hey, we can beat these guys.
- 5:46Speaker 2: And so the Eagles are going to have to really
- 5:48Speaker 2: take care of business here. The Bears are they're very
- 5:51Speaker 2: simple formula. I mean, offensively they are. They're a physical, tough,
- 5:57Speaker 2: come atch you football team. DeAndre Swift, Philly native and
- 6:02Speaker 2: former Eagle, having a really good year. I mean he's
- 6:04Speaker 2: averaging almost five yards of carry. And Ben Johnson's philosophy,
- 6:10Speaker 2: it's sort of like what he did in Detroit is
- 6:12Speaker 2: they run the ball, run the ball, run the ball
- 6:14Speaker 2: very effectively, and let their quarterback work out of play action.
- 6:18Speaker 2: And it is suited Caleb Williams perfectly, their young quarterback.
- 6:22Speaker 2: I mean, he's still he needs to start completing a
- 6:25Speaker 2: higher percent of his passes. I think he's under sixty
- 6:28Speaker 2: percent completion. He needs to improve upon. But he's not
- 6:32Speaker 2: making the big mistakes like he did before. So Ben
- 6:35Speaker 2: Johnson's doing a good job of bringing him along. And
- 6:39Speaker 2: this game for the Eagles is going to be They're
- 6:41Speaker 2: going to have to get more pressure on him than
- 6:44Speaker 2: you did on Dak Prescott.
- 6:45Speaker 3: Or you could be in for another long day.
- 6:48Speaker 1: You know, you always worry about young quarterbacks having that
- 6:51Speaker 1: sophomore jinx and not that Caleb has been lights out,
- 6:55Speaker 1: but Ben Johnson has done wonders for him in terms
- 6:59Speaker 1: of helping him grasp and understand the quarterback position at
- 7:02Speaker 1: this level. He still makes a lot of mistakes, as
- 7:05Speaker 1: you talked about before we taped some of the mistakes
- 7:08Speaker 1: he still you saw him make when he was playing
- 7:09Speaker 1: at USC, but he has utilized his legs as much
- 7:14Speaker 1: as his army has a strong arm, but he's also
- 7:16Speaker 1: utilizing his legs which has done a lot of damage
- 7:19Speaker 1: and has helped this team propel itself to where it
- 7:21Speaker 1: is now eight up and three down.
- 7:24Speaker 2: Yeah, and he he still has and when he came
- 7:28Speaker 2: out of college for all of the honors and everything
- 7:31Speaker 2: that he earned, and he deserved it.
- 7:33Speaker 3: He was a really good college.
- 7:34Speaker 2: Heck, he's the number one pick in the draft for
- 7:36Speaker 2: a reason obviously, but he had a lot of bad habits.
- 7:40Speaker 2: I mean, he was one of those super talented young
- 7:42Speaker 2: guys that didn't get coached a whole heck of a lot.
- 7:45Speaker 2: You know, coach has just kind of said, look, he's
- 7:47Speaker 2: he knows what he's doing. He has his own way
- 7:49Speaker 2: of doing things. Just let him go. And so the
- 7:52Speaker 2: way he carries the ball, the way he doesn't protect
- 7:55Speaker 2: it in a crowd, I mean, you saw him get
- 7:57Speaker 2: stripped of the end zone this past game results in
- 8:01Speaker 2: a touchdown. I mean, that's the kind of stuff he's
- 8:03Speaker 2: got to get out of his game. And Ben Johnson
- 8:06Speaker 2: will get that out of his game. He's not quite
- 8:08Speaker 2: there yet, but you see that just in the way
- 8:11Speaker 2: he sees the field and the decisions he makes with
- 8:13Speaker 2: the football. I mean, he's definitely making strides. And they've
- 8:17Speaker 2: got some pretty good receivers here too. And as I said,
- 8:20Speaker 2: their philosophy is really we're going to run the ball
- 8:22Speaker 2: and run successfully and have done that, and we're going
- 8:25Speaker 2: to allow the quarterback to work a lot of play action,
- 8:28Speaker 2: get easy reads in the secondary, and take the safe throw.
- 8:32Speaker 2: And that's what Ben Johnson's coaching Caleb Williams to do
- 8:35Speaker 2: and part of the reason why the Bears are eight
- 8:37Speaker 2: and three.
- 8:38Speaker 1: You were talking about the young talent in this Bears organization.
- 8:43Speaker 1: And you had alluded to a moment ago about how
- 8:45Speaker 1: they've won four games in their last possession, They've actually
- 8:48Speaker 1: won five games in the last two minutes of a game.
- 8:52Speaker 1: And when you have a new head coach, new coaching staff,
- 8:54Speaker 1: and the coach is getting used to his collection the players,
- 8:56Speaker 1: the players have to get used to a coach. When
- 8:59Speaker 1: you're able to do this while you're still on a
- 9:01Speaker 1: learning curve, what does this do to enhance the confidence
- 9:05Speaker 1: of a young team that really nobody thought would be
- 9:08Speaker 1: where they are right now?
- 9:09Speaker 4: Hey, it's Jeff Mosher. And if you have a family

- 10:21Speaker 3: No No.
- 10:22Speaker 2: I think when most people coming into the season were
- 10:26Speaker 2: doing their forecasting, you know, they were looking at the
- 10:30Speaker 2: NFC North and thinking, you know, that's a really tough division,
- 10:34Speaker 2: and it is, you know, I mean, you look at
- 10:37Speaker 2: the teams in that division. You have you know, got
- 10:39Speaker 2: the lines, you get the Bears, you get the Packers,
- 10:41Speaker 2: you got the Vikings, all good teams. I think most
- 10:45Speaker 2: most people that were forecasting the season, we're becking the
- 10:48Speaker 2: Bears to finish fourth. Not that they didn't think they
- 10:50Speaker 2: were a team that was probably going to improve. Not
- 10:52Speaker 2: that they didn't think they were a team that didn't
- 10:54Speaker 2: have any talent, but they were just in a really,
- 10:56Speaker 2: really tough division top to bottom.
- 10:59Speaker 3: And it's been proven be that. I mean, the.
- 11:00Speaker 2: Vikings haven't been when people thought they were going to be,
- 11:03Speaker 2: but the Packers and Alliance looked like they could be
- 11:05Speaker 2: playoff teams. And the Bears have more than held their own.
- 11:08Speaker 2: And you know, they're getting contributions from surprising guys. I
- 11:12Speaker 2: mean Kevin Bayard, who came to the Eagles in a
- 11:16Speaker 2: trade deadline deal a couple of years ago and basically
- 11:20Speaker 2: did nothing while he was here. He's with the Bears
- 11:23Speaker 2: now and he's one of the league leaders in interceptions.
- 11:26Speaker 2: I mean, he's playing in Chicago the way Howie Roseman
- 11:30Speaker 2: hoped he would play in Philadelphia, but he's gotten the
- 11:32Speaker 2: opportunity in Chicago. And that's what they are now. I mean,
- 11:35Speaker 2: they're leading the league in takeaways by leaps and bounds.
- 11:39Speaker 2: I mean, they're the number one takeaway defense in all football.
- 11:43Speaker 2: It's part of it's a big part of the reason
- 11:45Speaker 2: why they're eighting three. And you know, that's one of
- 11:48Speaker 2: the things that the Eagles, who aren't the ultimate turnover
- 11:53Speaker 2: averse offense history of football not want to turn the
- 11:57Speaker 2: ball over. Well, this is going to be a real
- 11:58Speaker 2: challenge because that's how the Bears win. The Bears win
- 12:01Speaker 2: by forcing you to make those mistakes.
- 12:04Speaker 1: Yeah, they're plus sixteen in the takeaway department. So they're
- 12:08Speaker 1: very opportunistic defense. Uh, and it's going to be interesting
- 12:14Speaker 1: to see can their opportunistic defense find a way to
- 12:19Speaker 1: get this Eagles offense to commit some miscues an offense
- 12:22Speaker 1: that doesn't make a lot of miscues. I e. They
- 12:25Speaker 1: did make a couple you know, glaring ones in that
- 12:28Speaker 1: game against the Dallas Cowboys, but you know, hopefully that
- 12:32Speaker 1: doesn't carry over into this particular game. But I can't
- 12:36Speaker 1: figure out this defense rate, to be honest, they're not
- 12:39Speaker 1: a high ranking defense. They don't sack the quarterback much.
- 12:43Speaker 1: They only have twenty three quarterback sacks. But they do
- 12:47Speaker 1: just enough to give their offense a chance to put
- 12:52Speaker 1: put put wins in a basket. And that's what they've done.
- 12:55Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah.
- 12:59Speaker 2: One of the entresting aspects of this matchup is that
- 13:05Speaker 2: it matches up the Bears defense, which is the worst.
- 13:12Speaker 2: This is a terrible stat but the men have overcome
- 13:15Speaker 2: the worst defense in the league on first down, teams
- 13:19Speaker 2: that their opponents are averaging almost seven yards a snap
- 13:22Speaker 2: on first down. So the Bears defense on first down
- 13:25Speaker 2: is the worst in the league, and they're going up
- 13:27Speaker 2: against the Eagles offense, which is one of the worst
- 13:30Speaker 2: first down offenses in the league. I mean, you get
- 13:33Speaker 2: nothing on first down, they can mostly negative plays. Well,
- 13:36Speaker 2: the Bears have given up more first down yardage than
- 13:38Speaker 2: anybody in football. So in sort of a reverse way,
- 13:42Speaker 2: that matchup might help determine this game is who wins
- 13:46Speaker 2: who wins first down because simple point of fact, neither
- 13:51Speaker 2: team has been.
- 13:51Speaker 3: Very good at it.
- 13:53Speaker 2: And so that's one of the reasons why you look
- 13:55Speaker 2: at the Bears team and a lot of their statistics
- 13:58Speaker 2: don't seem to equate to eight and three. They just don't,
- 14:01Speaker 2: I mean our twenty seventh defense overall. But man, this
- 14:05Speaker 2: gets back to what everybody has always talked about, and it's.
- 14:08Speaker 3: A truism is giveaway, takeaway turnover ratio.
- 14:12Speaker 2: Man, that is the bottom line in pro football every
- 14:16Speaker 2: Sunday or in this case, Friday.
- 14:19Speaker 1: And this is an Eagles team that could be at
- 14:21Speaker 1: a severe deficit on the back end of their defense.
- 14:24Speaker 1: Andrew McCombe is out now with a fracture in his leg.
- 14:29Speaker 1: We saw Dorry Jackson throw his helmet down and he
- 14:31Speaker 1: was shaking his head as he walked off the field.
- 14:33Speaker 1: He's in concussion protocol, his second concussion. And we're still
- 14:36Speaker 1: waiting to find out more about re blaken Ship's injury
- 14:40Speaker 1: as well. You know, he grabbed his leg and hobbled
- 14:42Speaker 1: off the field. If even two of those guys are
- 14:46Speaker 1: not playing right, what does this Eagles defense do to
- 14:51Speaker 1: take some of the burden off the back end? What
- 14:52Speaker 1: did the front seven have to do? It takes some
- 14:55Speaker 1: of the burden off the back end of that defense.
- 14:58Speaker 2: Well, it starts with the pass rush because I mean,
- 15:01Speaker 2: you know, you just know you're going to be thin
- 15:04Speaker 2: in the secondary. There is no way you can't be.
- 15:08Speaker 2: I don't think on a short week there's any way
- 15:11Speaker 2: Dori Jackson is going to be ready to play.
- 15:14Speaker 3: I just I just don't think he's going to be
- 15:15Speaker 3: ready to play.
- 15:16Speaker 2: Uh, Mukuba is certainly out. Blanket Ship maybe. I mean
- 15:23Speaker 2: it's gonna be it's gonna be a challenge. I mean,
- 15:26Speaker 2: Vic Fangio is going to have to you know, get
- 15:29Speaker 2: some band aids and mask and tape and.
- 15:34Speaker 3: Wire to put that thing together.
- 15:36Speaker 4: Hey, Philly fans, game day is stressful enough. Parking, traffic,
- 15:40Speaker 4: long lines, We've all been there, But when it comes
- 15:43Speaker 4: to your cannabis, Camden Apothecary makes it easy. This is

- 16:36Speaker 3: Thank god you got Guinean Mitchell. I mean you'll, you'll
- 16:39Speaker 3: you got him, But beyond that, I don't know.
- 16:43Speaker 2: I mean, you know, Michael Carter, you might have to
- 16:45Speaker 2: play some I think that the thing that everybody was
- 16:49Speaker 2: asking for weeks leading up to it was maybe they
- 16:52Speaker 2: need to put cooper'sgen you know, out on the corner
- 16:55Speaker 2: and let him be CB two. Well, I think you
- 16:58Speaker 2: saw what happened in this game. Look, George Pickens is
- 17:02Speaker 2: a handful for anybody, much less a guy who's playing
- 17:05Speaker 2: a little out of position.
- 17:07Speaker 3: No.
- 17:07Speaker 2: I think I think what that game in Dallas showed
- 17:10Speaker 2: you was exactly what Vic Fangio is saying all along
- 17:13Speaker 2: to that question.
- 17:15Speaker 3: No, no, no, no. Cooper Degene is really good in
- 17:18Speaker 3: the slot. That's what he is, that's what he does.
- 17:20Speaker 2: He might do it better than anybody in the NFL.
- 17:23Speaker 2: I don't want to move him out of there. I
- 17:25Speaker 2: think you saw why. So if I don't think they're
- 17:28Speaker 2: going to do that again, and if a Dori Jackson
- 17:30Speaker 2: can't play, and I kind of think he won't, this
- 17:34Speaker 2: suggests to me that it's it's it's Ringo, it's Kille Ringo.
- 17:38Speaker 2: I think it's I think that that's probably what you're
- 17:41Speaker 2: going to get here, and that's going to be you know,
- 17:45Speaker 2: it's a very it's a very tricky game. I mean,
- 17:48Speaker 2: you look at it and you say, yeah, it certainly
- 17:51Speaker 2: favors the Eagles, it would seem to, especially at home.
- 17:53Speaker 2: But I mean, you've got a lot of You've got
- 17:56Speaker 2: a lot of questions on the back end right now,
- 17:58Speaker 2: and I think the best way and the surest way
- 18:02Speaker 2: to answer those is to crank up the pass rush
- 18:04Speaker 2: and get a lot of heat on Caleb Williams and
- 18:07Speaker 2: you force him and to hurry in his throws and
- 18:10Speaker 2: maybe making some mistakes. To this point, he hasn't made
- 18:12Speaker 2: many this year, but if you want to win this game,
- 18:14Speaker 2: I think you better force him in a few.
- 18:16Speaker 1: I agree with you one hundred percent in terms of
- 18:18Speaker 1: putting the pressure on the Ray. But the one thing
- 18:21Speaker 1: the Eagles are going to have to be defensively that
- 18:25Speaker 1: they have for the most part, except they got out
- 18:27Speaker 1: of Carroc stepped out of character against Dallas. You're gonna
- 18:30Speaker 1: have to seal the lanes because if you put the
- 18:32Speaker 1: pressure on this guy and you go too far up
- 18:33Speaker 1: the field, he will step up on you. And he
- 18:35Speaker 1: doesn't have jogger speed. This kid's got sprint of speed
- 18:38Speaker 1: and I've watched him burn a lot of defenses with
- 18:40Speaker 1: his legs. So this Eagle's front, even if they send
- 18:44Speaker 1: extra men, you better be very different disciplined in terms
- 18:47Speaker 1: of stealing the gaps because if not, you're going to
- 18:50Speaker 1: be looking at the back of his jersey. Yeah, that's true.
- 18:53Speaker 2: And the other thing is with this Bears team, because
- 18:59Speaker 2: of the way they've played this year, and because of
- 19:02Speaker 2: the number of games they have won, right at the wire,
- 19:06Speaker 2: coming from behind, drive at the end, final possession kinds
- 19:12Speaker 2: of things, They're never going to feel like they're out
- 19:15Speaker 2: of this game. You know, they're coming in here and
- 19:17Speaker 2: they're going to play you sixty minutes, four quarters. And
- 19:22Speaker 2: the fact is they've won enough of those games that
- 19:24Speaker 2: they believe they can do it again. Home await doesn't
- 19:26Speaker 2: seem to matter to them. So the Eagles and everybody's
- 19:31Speaker 2: talked about it. You and I have talked about a lot.
- 19:32Speaker 2: The Eagles have not been a team that's been really
- 19:34Speaker 2: good playing four quarter football. Had stretches, they've had patches,
- 19:38Speaker 2: they've had moments where they played really well, but playing
- 19:42Speaker 2: really good beginning to end.
- 19:45Speaker 3: That hasn't really been the way they've played this year.
- 19:47Speaker 2: But they're going to have to play that this week
- 19:49Speaker 2: because the Bears are going to play them right down
- 19:51Speaker 2: to the final gun.
- 19:52Speaker 1: And you know this Eagles team rate is three times
- 19:56Speaker 1: three times this season, they have not scored any point
- 20:00Speaker 1: in a half of football. That's the second most in
- 20:04Speaker 1: the National Football League. You better put some points up
- 20:07Speaker 1: on his Bears team because this Bear's team is scoring
- 20:10Speaker 1: twenty six points a game. So you better put some
- 20:12Speaker 1: points upon his board and sustain those points. Not do
- 20:15Speaker 1: what you did against Dallas. Score X amount of points
- 20:18Speaker 1: and they basically call it today because like you said,
- 20:20Speaker 1: the Bears, they're gonna keep coming and keep coming, and
- 20:23Speaker 1: I think they're too young to know they're not supposed
- 20:25Speaker 1: to win these type of games.
- 20:27Speaker 4: Hey, I still like a good night out, but I'm

- 21:55Speaker 3: Off right exactly right.
- 21:58Speaker 2: And you know, I mean, we've talk a lot about
- 22:01Speaker 2: this being a really big game for the Eagles at
- 22:03Speaker 2: this point, and it is, for sure, but it's equally
- 22:07Speaker 2: big for the Bears, you know, because they're they're eight
- 22:11Speaker 2: and three, yes, but they're in an even tougher division
- 22:13Speaker 2: where the Eagles are right now, I mean, and so
- 22:16Speaker 2: they really they need every win they can get because
- 22:19Speaker 2: they still got games coming up with the Packers and
- 22:22Speaker 2: with the Lions. So this is a really big game.
- 22:24Speaker 2: Big game for the Eagles, but it's an equally big
- 22:27Speaker 2: game for the Bears if they're really hoping to get
- 22:29Speaker 2: to the postseason.
- 22:30Speaker 3: All right, Ray, who do you like in this game?
- 22:35Speaker 3: I like the Eagles.
- 22:37Speaker 2: I like the I think that that was an awful
- 22:42Speaker 2: loss down in Dallas. I think they're still smarting from that.
- 22:48Speaker 2: I expect them to bounce back from that. And as
- 22:52Speaker 2: I said at the beginning of this conversation, one of
- 22:55Speaker 2: the things that the Bears have allowed the Bears to
- 22:57Speaker 2: get to eight and three is to take factor. They
- 23:01Speaker 2: force turnovers, they take the ball away. That's really how
- 23:04Speaker 2: they've won a lot of these comeback games. And I
- 23:07Speaker 2: know the Eagles had a couple of mistakes in the
- 23:09Speaker 2: Dallas game, but that they really haven't done that much.
- 23:12Speaker 2: I mean, there teams, they just don't turn the ball over.
- 23:15Speaker 2: So the fact that that's the nature of the way
- 23:18Speaker 2: they play and that is so much a part of
- 23:21Speaker 2: what the Bears want to do and that's how they
- 23:23Speaker 2: beat you that you know. I think the Eagles will
- 23:25Speaker 2: protect the football, and if they protect the football, they'll win.
- 23:28Speaker 2: I don't think it's going to be a high scoring game,
- 23:31Speaker 2: but I would say something along the lines of, you know,
- 23:33Speaker 2: twenty three fourteen Eagles.
- 23:36Speaker 1: I'm going to say twenty four to twenty three. I
- 23:40Speaker 1: think the Eagles are going to have to fight tooth
- 23:43Speaker 1: and nail to scratch out this win, especially if they're
- 23:46Speaker 1: shorthanded on the back end of this defense. I think
- 23:49Speaker 1: Caleb Williams is going to escape for a few big
- 23:51Speaker 1: runs to make this game interesting. But I think the Eagles,
- 23:55Speaker 1: who is smarting and embarrassed from what happened down in Dallas.
- 23:59Speaker 1: They keep talking to out focus discipline, finishing drives, finishing halves.
- 24:05Speaker 3: I want to see it.
- 24:06Speaker 1: You have a short week, you're licking your wounds, you're
- 24:09Speaker 1: at home the day after Thanksgiving, You're the only National
- 24:12Speaker 1: Football League game on that day. I think they eat
- 24:15Speaker 1: this win out and breathe the sigh of relief twenty
- 24:18Speaker 1: four to twenty three. Hey, before I let you go,
- 24:21Speaker 1: you got a big event coming up, and I know
- 24:23Speaker 1: you're excited about.
- 24:24Speaker 2: It very much, so very much. So next Wednesday, Glenn macnow,
- 24:29Speaker 2: the Great Joe Conklin and I are doing a show
- 24:32Speaker 2: called the Greatest Moments in Philadelphia Sports History. We've done
