- 0:00Speaker 1: The Hobakky Big Show.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Thanks to Craveworthy Street Food. Freshly made with Reburger.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Don't fight it.
- 0:10Speaker 2: It's time to go up a size.
- 0:12Speaker 3: This is the biggest.
- 0:12Speaker 1: The biggest. The biggest. This is the biggest.
- 0:14Speaker 3: Our biggest show.
- 0:15Speaker 2: The Hauraki Big Show.
- 0:16Speaker 3: With Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Keezy.
- 0:20Speaker 1: G'day, you massive backbones. It's the Hauraki Big Show with
- 0:24Speaker 1: Pugs and Mogi. But even if Horty J and Keezy
- 0:27Speaker 1: are away, it's always brought to you by our mates
- 0:29Speaker 1: at Reburger. Crave-worthy street food freshly made over at Reburger.
- 0:34Speaker 3: Scrumdiddlyumptious.
- 0:37Speaker 1: How you feeling, Mogi?
- 0:38Speaker 4: So much better than yesterday, Pugs. And I'm back.
- 0:40Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 0:41Speaker 4: I'm back, man. Yesterday was a little bit slow. For
- 0:44Speaker 4: those of you who don't know, I had too many beers.
- 0:45Speaker 4: I went out for one beer, and then I had
- 0:48Speaker 4: a thousand beers. And I didn't handle it well yesterday either.
- 0:53Speaker 4: I stayed at home. I worked from home. And I
- 0:58Speaker 4: think I brought great shame on my family name, actually.
- 1:02Speaker 4: I didn't handle it well at all. But today, brand new.
- 1:05Speaker 4: Another beautiful day here in Auckland, and I'm thinking about
- 1:07Speaker 4: going around one more time, you know?
- 1:09Speaker 1: I 100% agree. I feel you, Mogi. I'd be doing
- 1:11Speaker 1: the same thing if I wasn't going on a bit
- 1:12Speaker 1: of a roadie straight after the show. I will say this.
- 1:15Speaker 1: I am feeling some shame as well due to the
- 1:18Speaker 1: fact that Jerry Mania on the Hauraki Breakfast got a
- 1:22Speaker 1: bachelor's handbag in for some content, so like a whole
- 1:26Speaker 1: chicken thing, and I've just been picking at that all day.
- 1:29Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:29Speaker 1: And I can... Safely say I've probably had about a
- 1:32Speaker 1: third in the last couple of hours. So I'm like 90%
- 1:36Speaker 1: chicken right now.
- 1:38Speaker 4: Nice. Nothing wrong with that.
- 1:40Speaker 1: Yeah, well, probably something wrong with that in terms of
- 1:43Speaker 1: my gut. But that's okay. What's coming up on the
- 1:45Speaker 1: show today, Mogi? What's happening on The Big Show with
- 1:52Speaker 1: Old Mogi?
- 1:54Speaker 4: We're going to be renaming our duo here, Pugson. We
- 1:56Speaker 4: need to come up with a show name, so we'll
- 1:58Speaker 4: be ripping into that after 5 o'clock. Also, have you
- 2:01Speaker 4: heard of cocaine?
- 2:04Speaker 1: No. Pugs?
- 2:05Speaker 4: What? Your mum's listening, man.
- 2:06Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 2:07Speaker 1: No.
- 2:07Speaker 4: It's weird how you deny it even knowing what it is.
- 2:12Speaker 4: That makes you seem guilty.
- 2:15Speaker 3: No.
- 2:16Speaker 4: We'll be talking about cocaine later. Awesome. Right, so stay
- 2:19Speaker 4: tuned for that. And also coming up next, Pugs, you're
- 2:21Speaker 4: going to be meeting your brother-in-law for the first time
- 2:24Speaker 4: or your partner's brother for the first time.
- 2:26Speaker 1: That's exactly right.
- 2:27Speaker 4: So you're shitting yourself. We're going to get into that next.
- 2:30Speaker 1: Yeah. Plus, we'll have another chance for you to win
- 2:35Speaker 1: $ 250 worth Gig-A-Little. Thanks to our mates at Super Liquor,
- 2:37Speaker 1: your chance to buy some Gig tickets. And, of course...
- 2:41Speaker 1: It's Friday, so we'll have a throbber too. But first,
- 2:43Speaker 1: let's kick off your Friday RV with some Linkin Park.
- 2:45Speaker 1: This is Crawling on the Hauraki Big Show.
- 2:48Speaker 2: The Hauraki Big Show. Weekdays from 4 on Radio Hauraki.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Nirvana there on the Hauraki Big Show with Pugs and Mogi.
- 2:58Speaker 1: We're going to narrow down the finalist list today for
- 3:00Speaker 1: a name for the show, Mogi. So keep them coming, 3483.
- 3:04Speaker 1: We'll announce our favourites, which you will probably then be
- 3:06Speaker 1: able to vote on. Now, Mogi, I'm going on a
- 3:10Speaker 1: trip to Rotorua this weekend with my partner's family. And
- 3:15Speaker 1: part of the family on this trip is her older brother,
- 3:20Speaker 1: who I have never met.
- 3:21Speaker 4: And he's quite a bit older, isn't he?
- 3:22Speaker 1: He's about 10 to 15 years older than my partner.
- 3:26Speaker 1: She was a late addition to the family. So he
- 3:28Speaker 1: lives over in the UK. He's flown over. And I've
- 3:31Speaker 1: met everybody else in the family except for this brother
- 3:36Speaker 1: and his partner and their new baby, which is the
- 3:38Speaker 1: reason that they're coming over. They've just had a baby,
- 3:40Speaker 1: which is really great. But I've never met this guy.
- 3:45Speaker 1: And I'll be honest, it's been a while since I've
- 3:49Speaker 1: been introduced to the brother of a partner. Do you
- 3:53Speaker 1: reckon he's going.
- 3:54Speaker 4: To do you?
- 3:56Speaker 1: That's sort of why I'm bringing it up, man.
- 3:58Speaker 4: He sounds like the kind of guy that's going to
- 3:59Speaker 4: do you.
- 3:59Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 4:00Speaker 4: I mean, I don't even know anything about him.
- 4:01Speaker 1: That's why I'm bringing it up. But I know you.
- 4:05Speaker 3: Oh, jeez.
- 4:05Speaker 1: But that's why I'm bringing it to you is because
- 4:08Speaker 1: I don't want to be done by him.
- 4:11Speaker 4: Yeah, okay.
- 4:11Speaker 1: I don't want him to do me.
- 4:13Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 4:15Speaker 1: So I'm just sort of wondering how I can, A,
- 4:17Speaker 1: make a great impression, or, B, do him first.
- 4:21Speaker 4: Yeah, sure. Well, it's not easy, is it? I mean,
- 4:23Speaker 4: he's substantially older than your partner, which means he's only
- 4:26Speaker 4: marginally older than you. That's... Just about a year or
- 4:30Speaker 4: two there and there.
- 4:33Speaker 1: He's a good five to seven years.
- 4:35Speaker 4: Older than me. And what does he do for a crust?
- 4:39Speaker 1: Great question. Are we dealing with a backbone here?
- 4:42Speaker 4: That'll be my question.
- 4:44Speaker 1: Uh... In the sense how everybody who calls into Hauraki
- 4:47Speaker 1: is a backbone?
- 4:48Speaker 4: That's right.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Well, he's never called into Hauraki, so I don't really know.
- 4:50Speaker 3: No, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 4:51Speaker 1: I'm not really sure. I know that he lives sort
- 4:53Speaker 1: of on the fringes of Wales and England there or
- 4:58Speaker 1: something like that.
- 4:58Speaker 4: Doesn't help me at all.
- 4:59Speaker 1: Out in farmland. That's literally the extent of what I know.
- 5:01Speaker 1: I know he's an artsy fella. I know he's a
- 5:03Speaker 1: very tasteful.
- 5:04Speaker 4: Artsy sort of... A Nazi.
- 5:05Speaker 1: Artsy.
- 5:06Speaker 4: A Nazi fella.
- 5:06Speaker 2: Artsy.
- 5:07Speaker 4: That's no good.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Not going down this road.
- 5:08Speaker 4: That's no good, man.
- 5:09Speaker 1: Not going down this road.
- 5:10Speaker 4: Pugs, that's shocking.
- 5:12Speaker 1: Anyway, he's into art. and stuff like that. So I
- 5:16Speaker 1: guess I'm just looking for advice.
- 5:17Speaker 4: So was Hitler.
- 5:18Speaker 1: Okay.
- 5:20Speaker 4: 3483. He was the worst of all of them.
- 5:25Speaker 1: Yeah, sweet. So advice on the brother-in-law would be really good.
- 5:29Speaker 1: Really good. And if you give me proper advice, you'll
- 5:32Speaker 1: go on the draw for a re-beg voucher. Just on
- 5:34Speaker 1: how to make a great impression to a new brother-in-law
- 5:36Speaker 1: or any family member. He's Faith No More on Hodaki.
- 5:41Speaker 2: The Hauraki Big Show with Jase, Mike and Keezy. Tune
- 5:44Speaker 2: in weekdays at 4 on Radio Hauraki.
- 5:47Speaker 1: Today is the final day of your chance to win
- 5:50Speaker 1: $ 2, 500 worth of Trade Tester products. I'm pretty sure the
- 5:54Speaker 1: draw is closed, but you can have a look. If
- 5:56Speaker 1: you go to tradetester.co.nz, enter what you want to win
- 5:59Speaker 1: at hauraki.co.nz. You might just be able to squeeze in
- 6:01Speaker 1: before we call a winner around about 5.30 today. If
- 6:05Speaker 1: you're already in the draw, keep your phone... on uh
- 6:10Speaker 1: because we may be giving you a buzz and awarding
- 6:12Speaker 1: you with that 2500 bucks with the trade tester products
- 6:15Speaker 1: now mogi i'm going to roto this weekend on a
- 6:17Speaker 1: roadie with my partner straight after the show uh we're
- 6:19Speaker 1: catching up with her family and that includes her brother-in-law
- 6:22Speaker 1: whom i have never met yes uh and i'm just
- 6:25Speaker 1: looking for advice on how best to i guess conduct
- 6:27Speaker 1: myself around uh another man in this family that i
- 6:31Speaker 1: have not yet met and um i've been looking for
- 6:35Speaker 1: some advice.
- 6:36Speaker 4: I mean, normally my advice would be to be yourself,
- 6:38Speaker 4: but I think that's the worst thing you could do
- 6:39Speaker 4: in this instance.
- 6:42Speaker 1: Me specifically.
- 6:42Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:43Speaker 4: But who else could you be? That's the trick.
- 6:46Speaker 1: Yeah, well, there's a few texts on 3483. Someone said
- 6:51Speaker 1: just lay down and let them do you, Pugs, which,
- 6:54Speaker 1: you know, was what I was trying to avoid. I
- 6:56Speaker 1: didn't want them to do me.
- 6:58Speaker 4: Well, that's the thing as well. I mean, you've got
- 7:00Speaker 4: history here as well. Yesterday we were talking about Ickx.
- 7:04Speaker 4: And one of the things that you did very early
- 7:06Speaker 4: on in your relationship is you got maggot hammered at
- 7:11Speaker 4: one of your partner's family do's, and then you were
- 7:14Speaker 4: singing into a broomstick like an absolute animal.
- 7:17Speaker 1: Thank God he wasn't there that day.
- 7:21Speaker 4: Yeah, but I mean, I'm sure he knows about it.
- 7:23Speaker 1: Oh.
- 7:23Speaker 4: You know what I mean?
- 7:25Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 7:25Speaker 4: So, yeah, I mean, I guess that the issue is,
- 7:29Speaker 4: you're going to have to stay away from the beers
- 7:31Speaker 4: as much as possible. But for you, so much of
- 7:32Speaker 4: your confidence and coolness comes from that.
- 7:35Speaker 1: Yeah, that's how I managed to do the radio shows,
- 7:36Speaker 1: just by getting stained. Actually, there's a couple of texts
- 7:40Speaker 1: here that disagree with you on 3483. All of these
- 7:42Speaker 1: in the draw for $ 50 Reburger vouchers. Pugs, you always
- 7:45Speaker 1: got to one-up him and drink double the beers he
- 7:47Speaker 1: does and he will love you.
- 7:48Speaker 4: Yeah, well, there's that.
- 7:49Speaker 1: That's from Blake.
- 7:50Speaker 4: The other thing that dudes love, because it is tricky,
- 7:53Speaker 4: isn't it, meeting your partner's brother?
- 7:55Speaker 1: Older brother, yeah. Yeah.
- 7:57Speaker 4: Just hook into your missus at any opportunity. Oh. Yeah.
- 8:01Speaker 1: Like in front of the family.
- 8:02Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah. They love that.
- 8:05Speaker 1: Brothers do?
- 8:06Speaker 4: Yeah. That will absolutely make his trip.
- 8:09Speaker 1: Fantastic. Okay. Well, that's actually a good start. Someone else
- 8:12Speaker 1: said get him drunk on craft beer. Which I am
- 8:15Speaker 1: actually taking a few craft beers and stealing them from
- 8:17Speaker 1: around the office.
- 8:17Speaker 4: Nice.
- 8:18Speaker 1: And then there's a couple more relating to what I
- 8:21Speaker 1: left at house sitting the other day.
- 8:22Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 8:23Speaker 4: Someone said, you need to.
- 8:24Speaker 1: Bring up the misplaced laptop cable around the dinner table
- 8:26Speaker 1: with the brother-in-law. The more detail, the better.
- 8:28Speaker 4: That's true. Actually, another one here, 3483, wear your beret.
- 8:33Speaker 4: Just go in there with your beret on. Now, how
- 8:36Speaker 4: much is he going to love you?
- 8:37Speaker 1: If I wear the beret.
- 8:38Speaker 4: If you wear the beret. Pugs, for those of you
- 8:42Speaker 4: who don't know, Pugs has got a beret that he wears.
- 8:46Speaker 1: Why are you giggling?
- 8:49Speaker 2: The Hodaki Big Show. Weekdays from 4 on Radio Hodaki.
- 8:56Speaker 2: Giga Little on Radio Hauraki. Let's see who wants to
- 9:00Speaker 2: hear the roar of the encore. Cheers to Super Liquor.
- 9:03Speaker 1: That's right, we've got about $ 10, 000 to give away and
- 9:05Speaker 1: you can win your share. $ 250 every day here on
- 9:09Speaker 1: Radio Hauraki. Up for grabs to put towards a gig,
- 9:12Speaker 1: a festy, any live music of your choice. I actually found,
- 9:17Speaker 1: we put together a little gig guide. and there's a
- 9:20Speaker 1: few on this weekend mogi we've got uh devil skin
- 9:23Speaker 1: and palmy tomorrow me old stomping ground there that'll go
- 9:26Speaker 1: off uh plus we've got shea fill in the crates
- 9:29Speaker 1: uh at the theater royal in uh temeru there uh
- 9:32Speaker 1: and they were here at the office this morning the
- 9:34Speaker 1: wiggles are on sunday man oh really yeah how good
- 9:38Speaker 1: it's fucking here this morning Yeah, they were over in
- 9:41Speaker 1: the iHeart Lounge.
- 9:43Speaker 3: Oh, wow.
- 9:43Speaker 1: At NZME. Yeah, how good. It's one of the things
- 9:47Speaker 1: you miss out on when you come in and drive,
- 9:48Speaker 1: I suppose. Should we go to the phone lines? G'day, Robbie.
- 9:52Speaker 1: How you going, you mad bastard?
- 9:54Speaker 3: Yo, I'm fantastic.
- 9:55Speaker 4: Thanks for the show, you.
- 9:56Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:57Speaker 4: Pretty bloody good. What do you do for a crust, man?
- 9:59Speaker 1: Oh, well, in the construction industry, bit of project management.
- 10:02Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 10:03Speaker 2: Good on you, mate.
- 10:04Speaker 4: Good on you. And if you managed to get this
- 10:07Speaker 4: 250 bung, what would you be speeding it on?
- 10:10Speaker 7: Well, I quite like the band Pucita.
- 10:12Speaker 4: They've got a couple of real bangers.
- 10:14Speaker 1: They're playing with Perfect Circle.
- 10:16Speaker 7: So, yeah, that'll be me.
- 10:17Speaker 1: I'll be into it.
- 10:18Speaker 4: I'm a massive fan of Perfect Circle. I don't think
- 10:20Speaker 4: they get enough kudos. But to that, I don't know why,
- 10:26Speaker 4: because I love Tool and I love Perfect Circle, but
- 10:28Speaker 4: for some reason I've never given Pucita a good thrash.
- 10:31Speaker 4: I'm going to do that because I'm going to be
- 10:33Speaker 4: going to that gig. And you get your double your
- 10:36Speaker 4: Maynard Keening, don't you?
- 10:37Speaker 7: You do, indeed. And you look up a song, What
- 10:40Speaker 7: Do You Know?
- 10:40Speaker 4: Okay.
- 10:41Speaker 3: Yep, it's a bang-up.
- 10:42Speaker 4: Recommended. Bloody good. We'll do that.
- 10:44Speaker 1: What Do You Know from Percival. Oh, good on you, mate.
- 10:46Speaker 1: Thanks for that recommendation. And on that note, you've just
- 10:48Speaker 1: won yourself $ 250 cash. That is magic.
- 10:51Speaker 7: Thank you, team.
- 10:51Speaker 3: All good, mate.
- 10:52Speaker 1: You enjoy the gig. I will chuck you over to
- 10:54Speaker 1: Big Dilly in Studio B, and he'll hand you that
- 10:56Speaker 1: cash personally.
- 10:56Speaker 3: All right?
- 10:57Speaker 1: Excellent.
- 10:57Speaker 6: Thank you.
- 10:58Speaker 1: Good on you, mate. It's all thanks to our mates
- 11:00Speaker 1: at Super Liquor. Cheers to gigs. Cheers to Super Liquor.
- 11:06Speaker 4: Bouncy on it. Tune.
- 11:10Speaker 1: Sheffield on tour, actually. I've been quite keen to see him.
- 11:12Speaker 4: I saw some footage of him playing last night. It
- 11:13Speaker 4: looks sick.
- 11:14Speaker 1: He's actually the man. I've seen him live and I've
- 11:17Speaker 1: met him a couple of times just at Auckland stuff.
- 11:18Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 11:20Speaker 1: Lovely guy. Fantastic DJ.
- 11:21Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 11:21Speaker 4: He's the man.
- 11:24Speaker 1: Keep an ear out for that roar of the encore.
- 11:26Speaker 1: Could go off at any time. That $ 250 could be
- 11:28Speaker 1: yours thanks to Super Liquor. What's on the TV next
- 11:31Speaker 1: with old Mogi?
- 11:33Speaker 2: The Hauraki Big Show with Jase, Mike and Keezy. Tune
- 11:37Speaker 2: in weekdays at 4 on Radio Hauraki.
- 11:39Speaker 1: Incubus on the Hauraki Big Show with Mogi and Pugs.
- 11:43Speaker 1: And Mogi, we've got an exciting movie giveaway, don't we?
- 11:46Speaker 4: We do, mate. There's a film that's come out, a
- 11:48Speaker 4: Kiwi film called Big Girls Don't Cry. It's a feature
- 11:51Speaker 4: debut for Paloma Schneiderman. Jeez. I'm going to start that again. Yeah, man.
- 12:00Speaker 4: It's a Kiwi film called Big Girls Don't Cry. It
- 12:02Speaker 4: is a debut feature for Paloma Schneiderman. semi-autobiographical, shot on
- 12:08Speaker 4: location in Omaha, and centres around a 13-year-old girl's sort
- 12:13Speaker 4: of coming of age over one particular summer there. It's
- 12:16Speaker 4: been doing really well. It's been hitting festivals around the world,
- 12:19Speaker 4: and I believe it was released yesterday. We've got five
- 12:22Speaker 4: double passes. If you just text PUGS to 3483, we'll
- 12:28Speaker 4: call five random people, and there's that for five double passes.
- 12:31Speaker 4: It just made sense, PUGS. We couldn't make it. Our
- 12:33Speaker 4: mind's up whether to say big girls or don't cry,
- 12:36Speaker 4: so I've just gone with pugs.
- 12:37Speaker 1: Just text pugs to 3483 for your chance to win
- 12:40Speaker 1: a double pass to go to the movies and get
- 12:41Speaker 1: around Kiwi Cinema. Am I right? Should we have some
- 12:43Speaker 1: TV chat?
- 12:44Speaker 4: Let's do it.
- 12:47Speaker 3: What's on the telly with Mike Minogue.
- 13:04Speaker 4: Did it.
- 13:05Speaker 6: Yeah, man.
- 13:05Speaker 4: There we go, man.
- 13:05Speaker 1: Resonant, resonant.
- 13:06Speaker 4: Good stuff. Last night I watched a film on Netflix
- 13:11Speaker 4: called Unabomber.
- 13:13Speaker 1: Oh, what's that about?
- 13:14Speaker 4: It's a pretty good cast, actually, to be fair to it.
- 13:18Speaker 4: Shailene Woodley is pretty good. Russell Crowe's in it. So, oh,
- 13:22Speaker 4: I didn't see him in it. Apparently Viggo Mortensen's in it.
- 13:25Speaker 4: But watched that. So it's about, there's a bloke. Now,
- 13:29Speaker 4: there was a bomber who would send bombs around the
- 13:32Speaker 4: US and sort of from the late 70s through to
- 13:35Speaker 4: maybe the early 90s, about 15 to 20 bombs over
- 13:39Speaker 4: the course of that time, homemade stuff. And he was
- 13:41Speaker 4: sort of, his thing was trying to get rid of industrialism,
- 13:45Speaker 4: was trying to stop progress, essentially.
- 13:47Speaker 1: Right.
- 13:48Speaker 4: The advancement of technology and industrialisation. And so this is
- 13:54Speaker 4: a story of how they finally managed to catch him,
- 13:57Speaker 4: but it's interweaved It jumps back in time to when
- 14:02Speaker 4: the Unabomber, who's eventually discovered to be T. Krasinski, spoiler alert,
- 14:06Speaker 4: was at Harvard University as a 16-year-old and was studying philosophy,
- 14:14Speaker 4: amongst other things. And in that period, his professor isn't
- 14:20Speaker 4: everything that he appears to be, and that professor is
- 14:22Speaker 4: played by Russell Crowe. The problem with it is I
- 14:25Speaker 4: hate a flashback.
- 14:28Speaker 1: Oh.
- 14:29Speaker 4: I don't know what it is. I just loathe the
- 14:32Speaker 4: jumping back and forth in time stuff. I just, I
- 14:34Speaker 4: cannot do it. It drives me nuts. This was, it
- 14:37Speaker 4: was totally fine. I had my phone out roughly 100%
- 14:40Speaker 4: of the time. Russell Crowe's doing this thing where he's
- 14:45Speaker 4: just very much Russell Crowe now. He's doing his thing
- 14:48Speaker 4: and I normally love him but this didn't really give
- 14:50Speaker 4: him enough to do. It's got, I think it's sitting
- 14:55Speaker 4: at about 25% on Rotten Tomatoes.
- 14:56Speaker 1: Oh, okay, so really good.
- 14:57Speaker 4: Yeah, and I was going to give it three buzzies,
- 14:59Speaker 4: but really I don't even think I watched it. So
- 15:02Speaker 4: I'm going to give it two.
- 15:04Speaker 1: So not a recommender this time.
- 15:05Speaker 4: I don't think it was. Look, it's one of those
- 15:07Speaker 4: ones you can stick on and it's absolutely fine. Good performances,
- 15:11Speaker 4: but it's just sort of a, A little bit of a, yeah,
- 15:15Speaker 4: just didn't really knock it out of the park. Two
- 15:17Speaker 4: and a half buzzies out of a possible five. That's
- 15:19Speaker 4: Unabomber on Netflix.
- 15:20Speaker 1: Fantastic, man. And in a similar sort of serious nature,
- 15:24Speaker 1: my girlfriend gave me one chance to show her three
- 15:29Speaker 1: episodes of one of my favourite TV shows of all time,
- 15:31Speaker 1: Family Guy. I'm a huge Family Guy fan. I grew
- 15:35Speaker 1: up on Family Guy. And she hates even the thought
- 15:38Speaker 1: of anything cartoon.
- 15:39Speaker 4: Right.
- 15:40Speaker 1: And so she said, look, I'll give you three episodes
- 15:43Speaker 1: to choose.
- 15:43Speaker 4: That's so good.
- 15:44Speaker 1: And this is what you have to sell me on
- 15:47Speaker 1: this show.
- 15:47Speaker 4: Rightio.
- 15:49Speaker 1: And, you know, I'm more of a fan of the
- 15:50Speaker 1: earlier stuff of Family Guy. That season's maybe one to
- 15:53Speaker 1: four or five.
- 15:54Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 15:55Speaker 1: So I picked from around that time. And anybody who's
- 15:57Speaker 1: a Family Guy fan, there's one episode where Peter starts
- 16:00Speaker 1: his own TV station because the rules are getting too
- 16:03Speaker 1: strict around broadcasting. I showed her that one. One about
- 16:06Speaker 1: the Griffin family history where they go back through the
- 16:10Speaker 1: origins of the genealogy of the Griffins. And then another
- 16:13Speaker 1: one where Brian Griffin finds out he has a son.
- 16:16Speaker 4: Right.
- 16:17Speaker 1: And anybody who's not in the family, I won't give
- 16:19Speaker 1: a shit about that, but it meant a lot to
- 16:20Speaker 1: me as a kid. grew up on Family Guy. You
- 16:22Speaker 1: know what? She doesn't want to watch any more of it,
- 16:26Speaker 1: but she definitely got a few laughs out of at
- 16:27Speaker 1: least a couple of the episodes. So in my eyes,
- 16:29Speaker 1: that's a success. Family Guy on Disney Plus, 500 pussies. Oh, June,
- 16:33Speaker 1: haven't heard this for a while. Let's have some tripping
- 16:38Speaker 1: daisy on the Hauraki Big Show. It's I Got a Girl.
- 16:40Speaker 2: The Hauraki Big Show with Jace, Mike and Keezy. Tune
- 16:47Speaker 2: in weekdays at 4 on Radio Hauraki.
- 16:53Speaker 3: It's the Hauraki Big Show's Friday Throbber. Deesh, deesh.
- 17:00Speaker 4: Sorry, I forgot.
- 17:01Speaker 1: Dilly.
- 17:01Speaker 4: Sorry, man. You're in the Hoiti J's seat, man. It
- 17:04Speaker 4: makes sense.
- 17:05Speaker 1: Hey, this is the Friday Throbber on the Hauraki Big Show,
- 17:07Speaker 1: where every Friday we each bring a tune to the
- 17:09Speaker 1: table to kick off your weekend and set the tone.
- 17:13Speaker 1: We are joined by Big Dilly from Studio B today,
- 17:16Speaker 1: and of course, Mogi and myself, Pugs, also have a tune. Pugs.
- 17:21Speaker 1: Who's going first, fellas?
- 17:21Speaker 4: It's got to be Dilly over there, man.
- 17:23Speaker 1: Oh, me.
- 17:24Speaker 4: Okay.
- 17:25Speaker 7: Well, I could have gone something seriously yummy, boys. But
- 17:28Speaker 7: I didn't. I decided to go with something a bit
- 17:31Speaker 7: more degenerate.
- 17:32Speaker 4: Hit it, pugs.
- 17:45Speaker 6: Oh.
- 17:46Speaker 4: That's what I'm talking about.
- 17:48Speaker 1: That's actually a change.
- 17:51Speaker 4: I've never heard it.
- 17:51Speaker 1: I've never heard it either.
- 17:52Speaker 6: That gentleman is Mantra by Bring Me the Horizon.
- 17:54Speaker 4: Oh, here we go.
- 17:55Speaker 1: Bring Me the Horizon on Hodaki.
- 17:57Speaker 4: How good.
- 17:58Speaker 1: Song from bands that I like. So that's you, Dilly. Mogi,
- 18:01Speaker 1: do you want to go next?
- 18:02Speaker 4: Yeah, sure. Okay. Here it is.
- 18:04Speaker 1: Oh. Oh. Oh. Metallica.
- 18:24Speaker 4: A little bit of Metallica there. Seek and Destroy, I think.
- 18:28Speaker 4: Seek and Destroy. Seek and Destroy, yeah.
- 18:29Speaker 1: Seek and Destroy. All righty, fellas, and I have gone
- 18:32Speaker 1: for not a Yummy Boys tune.
- 18:35Speaker 4: Well done, man.
- 18:54Speaker 1: That's Amal and the Sniffers security, and that's my Friday
- 18:57Speaker 1: Throbber Choice, fellas. So we want to know what you
- 19:00Speaker 1: want to hear by giving us a buzz on 0800 Hauraki.
- 19:04Speaker 1: Dilly will pop back in the Studio B, line up
- 19:06Speaker 1: some votes, and then we'll go to those after this
- 19:08Speaker 1: next tune, which is Blink 182 on the Hauraki Big Show.
- 19:13Speaker 2: The Hauraki Big Show, weekdays from 4 on Radio Hauraki.
- 19:21Speaker 1: It's the Hauraki Big Show's Friday Throbber.
- 19:26Speaker 4: Douche, douche.
- 19:28Speaker 1: That's right. We're back. This is the Hauraki Big Show
- 19:31Speaker 1: Friday Throbber. We're on the Pugs and Mogies show, joined
- 19:33Speaker 1: by Big Dilly from Studio B. And Big Dilly, as
- 19:36Speaker 1: the guest, you picked a song from Bring Me the Horizon.
- 19:41Speaker 1: Didn't get it.
- 19:42Speaker 4: Mantra, hit it.
- 19:57Speaker 1: Yeah, that goes hard.
- 19:58Speaker 7: Absolutely rips.
- 19:59Speaker 1: That was Bring Me The Horizon Mantra Mogi.
- 20:03Speaker 4: A little bit of Metallica, a little bit of Seek
- 20:04Speaker 4: and Destroy.
- 20:06Speaker 3: Ba-ba-dow, ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-dow.
- 20:11Speaker 1: Beauty. That is a tune. It's a very rocky liner
- 20:23Speaker 1: this time around. And I went for a tune by
- 20:26Speaker 1: Amel and the Sniffers called Security. Security.
- 20:42Speaker 4: Bloody beautiful.
- 20:43Speaker 1: That is a tune. Let me in your pub, would you?
- 20:46Speaker 1: So we want to know what you want to hear.
- 20:49Speaker 1: Should we go to the phone lines, fellas? G'day, Jake,
- 20:52Speaker 1: you mad bastard. How are you?
- 20:54Speaker 3: Yeah, good, thanks.
- 20:55Speaker 1: Good, Jake. What do you do for a cross, man?
- 20:57Speaker 7: I punch numbers into a computer.
- 20:59Speaker 4: Yeah, bad stuff, mate.
- 21:01Speaker 1: What are you running with there, Jake? I'm going to
- 21:05Speaker 1: have to go and bring me to the horizon today.
- 21:08Speaker 1: Good on you, Jake. All right, let's move on.
- 21:10Speaker 3: Kane.
- 21:11Speaker 4: What do you reckon, Kane? We're going security.
- 21:15Speaker 3: Pugsy boy.
- 21:17Speaker 1: You get it, Kane.
- 21:17Speaker 4: Bloody beautiful. You get it, man.
- 21:19Speaker 1: All right, thanks for the vote, Kane. Thanks for the vote, man.
- 21:23Speaker 1: Let's go to Jackie.
- 21:25Speaker 4: What do you reckon, Jackie?
- 21:27Speaker 1: I'm going to throw a bit of a mix in
- 21:29Speaker 1: here and go for Metallica. Well done, Jackie.
- 21:34Speaker 4: We're going over to the Taranaki for the final one
- 21:36Speaker 4: with Anton. Anton, what do you say, brother?
- 21:39Speaker 1: Pugs. Anton, you're an absolute legend, mate. Thank you for that.
- 21:45Speaker 1: I'll chuck you on hold, mate. Thanks for the vote. Well,
- 21:48Speaker 1: there you go, fellas. That's my first win of the year,
- 21:51Speaker 1: I believe.
- 21:52Speaker 4: Yeah, it is. You haven't had many opportunities to be
- 21:54Speaker 4: fair pegs, but you've blown all of them up until now.
- 21:56Speaker 1: Up until now, man. Thanks for making the win that
- 21:59Speaker 1: much better, Mogi. All righty, let's move on. This is
- 22:01Speaker 1: your Friday throbber. It is Amal and the Sniffers security
- 22:06Speaker 1: on the Hauraki Big Show for your Friday.
- 22:07Speaker 2: The Hauraki Big Show with Jace, Mike and Keezy. Tune
- 22:11Speaker 2: in weekdays at 4 on Radio Hauraki.
- 22:13Speaker 1: Amal and the Sniffers there on the Hauraki Big Show. Security,
- 22:16Speaker 1: that's your Friday throbber. Now, here at the Big Show,
- 22:19Speaker 1: we've got your chance to go to Chasing the Fox.
- 22:22Speaker 1: That's right, Ryan Fox is on his way home after
- 22:24Speaker 1: the biggest win of his career. And we're giving you
- 22:26Speaker 1: the chance to win flights from anywhere in the country
- 22:28Speaker 1: to Auckland with a hotel stay and tickets to Kiwi
- 22:32Speaker 1: Bank Chasing the Fox. So you can enter now for
- 22:34Speaker 1: that at hodaki.co.nz and let us fly you to the fox. Mogi,
- 22:39Speaker 1: my first throbber win of the year.
- 22:41Speaker 3: Yes, mate.
- 22:42Speaker 4: Congrats.
- 22:43Speaker 1: Thank you so much. It's been really tough. over the
- 22:46Speaker 1: last little while.
- 22:46Speaker 4: It's a little bit scary, isn't it?
- 22:48Speaker 1: It is a little bit scary having a dry spell
- 22:50Speaker 1: like that, and you just wonder, what's going to happen?
- 22:52Speaker 1: Am I ever going to get one back?
- 22:53Speaker 4: Well, look, we've all felt that one way or another, Pugson.
- 22:57Speaker 4: That means that I'm sitting on 18, Jase is sitting
- 23:00Speaker 4: on 7, with two asterisks and a small D, which
- 23:05Speaker 4: essentially means that he's sitting on 4, while you're sitting
- 23:08Speaker 4: now on 1. So it's 4-1.
- 23:10Speaker 1: Oh, no, wrong one. Hang on.
- 23:13Speaker 4: And KZ's on 11 with an asterisk. So another week
- 23:15Speaker 4: without either of them scoring, which is all good for me, man.
- 23:18Speaker 1: It's all good for you. Yeah, you're pretty much, you're
- 23:20Speaker 1: a shoo-in for the win at this point, aren't you?
- 23:22Speaker 4: Well, it'll be, it'll be, yeah. You never know what's
- 23:24Speaker 4: going to happen, Pugs. You never know.
- 23:25Speaker 1: That's totally fair. Some good feedback on 3483. Someone said,
- 23:29Speaker 1: so far better than yesterday, which I imagine was my
- 23:32Speaker 1: choice for songs from bands that I like.
- 23:33Speaker 4: Oh, yes.
- 23:34Speaker 1: Which was King Gizzard.
- 23:36Speaker 4: Yes.
- 23:36Speaker 1: A couple here saying, Metallica fans, Metallica. The other was Trash.
- 23:41Speaker 1: Someone said, best selection of Friday Throbbers this year.
- 23:43Speaker 4: Wow, that's pretty good.
- 23:44Speaker 1: Which says a lot given that two of the people
- 23:46Speaker 1: in the room are not regulars on here on the show.
- 23:49Speaker 1: That's true, there you go. Someone saying that I have
- 23:52Speaker 1: a freakish resemblance to Sonny from the iconic 70s duo
- 23:56Speaker 1: of Sonny and Cher. How kind. It's not a Throbber related,
- 23:59Speaker 1: that just came through. Yeah.
- 24:00Speaker 4: And I read it.
- 24:01Speaker 1: So we'll do another Throbber next week, but of course
- 24:04Speaker 1: we have been doing songs from bands that I like. Yes.
- 24:07Speaker 1: Which is also a chance for us to play new
- 24:09Speaker 1: tunes on Hauraki. It's not a competition. It's just stuff
- 24:12Speaker 1: that we think we should play. And if you missed
- 24:14Speaker 1: any from the week or you heard a bit of
- 24:15Speaker 1: it and you actually want to know what it was
- 24:18Speaker 1: so you can add it to your own playlist, go
- 24:19Speaker 1: to the Hauraki Big Show Insta. I put up a
- 24:21Speaker 1: post today with snippets from all four that we chose.
- 24:24Speaker 1: So get around that.
- 24:25Speaker 4: Get on your mate.
- 24:26Speaker 1: Up next on The Big Show, cocaine chat, isn't it, Mogi?
- 24:30Speaker 4: Yeah, a bit of cocaine chat.
- 24:31Speaker 3: Good stuff.
- 24:32Speaker 2: The Hauraki Big Show, weekdays from 4 on Radio Hauraki.
- 24:36Speaker 1: Green day on The Hauraki Big Show with Pugs and Mogi.
- 24:41Speaker 1: And Mogi, you've been reading the news.
- 24:42Speaker 4: Man, it just comes across your desk every now and
- 24:44Speaker 4: again and something just turns the old snozz. It says
- 24:49Speaker 4: here that New Zealand's cocaine honeymoon... continues with use hitting
- 24:54Speaker 4: a new high as price per gram plunges. Have you
- 24:57Speaker 4: heard about this, man?
- 24:59Speaker 1: I can't say I've heard about this, man.
- 25:01Speaker 4: Okay, well, according to this, cocaine use in New Zealand
- 25:04Speaker 4: is surging as the drug becomes cheaper, easier to find,
- 25:07Speaker 4: and increasingly normalised. Nearly a third of all respondents had
- 25:12Speaker 4: tried the drug in the last year. And over the
- 25:15Speaker 4: same period, the inflation adjusted price for a gram of
- 25:19Speaker 4: cocaine has fallen by almost a third from $ 370 to
- 25:22Speaker 4: $ 250 a year. That's shocking, isn't it?
- 25:27Speaker 1: That is a massive drop. What is that, a third?
- 25:30Speaker 4: It's about a third.
- 25:31Speaker 6: I'm shocked.
- 25:31Speaker 1: It's about a third of a drop. That is a lot. Obviously, yeah,
- 25:35Speaker 1: I guess if there's more competition or a lot more
- 25:37Speaker 1: use going around, the price is going to get more competitive.
- 25:39Speaker 4: I guess so, man. Supply and demand stuff. I'm really
- 25:44Speaker 4: shocked by that price.
- 25:46Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 25:46Speaker 4: Have you ever heard of that, man? What? $ 250 for
- 25:50Speaker 4: a gram of cocaine.
- 25:51Speaker 1: I haven't heard of any price.
- 25:52Speaker 4: Who's paying that?
- 25:53Speaker 1: I haven't heard of.
- 25:54Speaker 4: No, who's paying that?
- 25:55Speaker 1: Who's paying that? Clearly a lot of people around Aotearoa. And,
- 26:00Speaker 1: you know, I personally haven't heard of the price of
- 26:03Speaker 1: cocaine because I've barely heard of what that is, man,
- 26:05Speaker 1: other than it's bad.
- 26:06Speaker 4: I'm shocked by the price of $ 370, but $ 250? Pugs,
- 26:09Speaker 4: I'm shocked. I'm really shocked.
- 26:12Speaker 1: Is there a reason that the edges of your mouth
- 26:14Speaker 1: are kind of curling up a little bit as you
- 26:15Speaker 1: say that you're shocked?
- 26:16Speaker 4: This is shocking to me that it's $ 250. I've never
- 26:18Speaker 4: heard of that. I.
- 26:22Speaker 1: I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the fact that,
- 26:25Speaker 1: you know, we're giving away $ 250 cash on the show
- 26:28Speaker 1: every day.
- 26:29Speaker 4: Oh, that's true.
- 26:30Speaker 1: That's true, and that's for gigs, isn't it? That is
- 26:33Speaker 1: for gigs. Gig-a-little. That's for gig-a-little, anything gig-related.
- 26:36Speaker 4: Anything gig-related?
- 26:38Speaker 1: Well, yeah, like tickets and stuff.
- 26:39Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Right, $ 250, eh?
- 26:43Speaker 1: Hmm.
- 26:46Speaker 4: It's interesting. Very interesting. I'll tell you that.
- 26:49Speaker 1: Why are you smiling?
- 26:50Speaker 4: I'm not smiling. I just think it's very interesting. Very. Apparently,
- 26:55Speaker 4: can I just say as well, that use has gone
- 26:57Speaker 4: from 3.3 kilos a week in 2024 to 9.4 kilos
- 26:59Speaker 4: a week. Holy shit. That guy must have heaps of money.
- 27:09Speaker 2: The Hauraki Big Show. Weekdays from 4 on Radio Hauraki.
- 27:13Speaker 1: It's Sheehard on the Hauraki Big Show with Pugs and
- 27:16Speaker 1: Mogi and we're finally here. We're at the last winner
- 27:19Speaker 1: of our trade tester comp. We've been running this for
- 27:21Speaker 1: like a month. Every single Friday we've given away two
- 27:24Speaker 1: and a half grand's worth of trade tester products because
- 27:28Speaker 1: they've got the power to transform your average deck into
- 27:31Speaker 1: one with confidence this summer. So we're going to call
- 27:33Speaker 1: our last winner and this person's going to win that
- 27:36Speaker 1: last $ 2, 500. Should we get them on the line?
- 27:38Speaker 4: Let's do it, man.
- 27:39Speaker 1: Yeah, man.
- 27:39Speaker 4: Let's just do it. What's that noise? What? Hello? Hey. Hey,
- 27:49Speaker 4: what are you doing?
- 27:52Speaker 1: Just sifting, having a beer.
- 27:53Speaker 4: Having a sift, are you?
- 27:55Speaker 1: It's old Mogi here, brother.
- 27:57Speaker 4: What are you doing there?
- 27:59Speaker 1: Sifty bastard. It's Mogi and Pugs on the show.
- 28:02Speaker 4: It's Mogi and Pugs, man. Don't tell anyone.
- 28:05Speaker 1: Is this Jock? You sound like you've been on the darts, brother.
- 28:07Speaker 4: Nah, that was a couple of days ago now.
- 28:09Speaker 1: How you going, big dog?
- 28:12Speaker 3: I'm good, how are you?
- 28:13Speaker 4: Oh, bloody grouse, man. What are you doing? You're having
- 28:15Speaker 4: a couple of brews.
- 28:17Speaker 7: Having a couple of beers, just hanging about, enjoying the sun.
- 28:19Speaker 1: Whereabouts in Palmy are you there, Jock?
- 28:23Speaker 4: I'm just in Hooker Fitter there. Oh, Hooker Fitz, man.
- 28:26Speaker 1: You used to spend a lot of time in Hooker
- 28:28Speaker 1: Fitz there, man. It's classic. What do you do for
- 28:30Speaker 1: a crust, Jock? I'm a student most of the time. Oh,
- 28:34Speaker 1: how good. This is a hell of a phone call then.
- 28:37Speaker 4: I understand you entered yourself into the trade-tested competition. Did
- 28:42Speaker 4: that sound right? Yeah, I sure did. Do you remember
- 28:44Speaker 4: what you chucked in your little shopping basket there, sicko?
- 28:48Speaker 7: The line trimmer was the big thing.
- 28:50Speaker 4: Oh, yep.
- 28:51Speaker 1: Yeah, I really liked that you actually didn't try and
- 28:54Speaker 1: bulk everything out and get it done in like three items.
- 28:57Speaker 1: You've got a whole bunch of stuff. So you've got
- 28:58Speaker 1: some car shampoo there, man. You've got some ratchet tie-downs.
- 29:02Speaker 1: You've got a fire pit. You've also got some heavy-duty
- 29:05Speaker 1: vehicle boot liners. stuff there, some Makita seven-piece set or
- 29:12Speaker 1: something like that. That's great stuff, man. And you still
- 29:15Speaker 1: didn't hit the limit, which I really respect. You've got
- 29:17Speaker 1: a whole bunch of stuff in there. And the good
- 29:18Speaker 1: news for you, Jock, you've just won yourself $ 2, 500 worth
- 29:21Speaker 1: of trade-tested products.
- 29:22Speaker 3: Oh, you beauty.
- 29:24Speaker 4: Sounds like you got yourself around about 20 Christmas presents there, man.
- 29:29Speaker 4: I'm going to dish them out to the family. Nah,
- 29:32Speaker 4: stop him.
- 29:32Speaker 2: Nah!
- 29:35Speaker 1: Good on you, Jock. Congratulations. Thanks for entering, mate. I'll
- 29:38Speaker 1: chuck you on hold. I'll pass you over to Big Dilly.
- 29:40Speaker 1: and he'll get your details, mate. Thanks for that. Thanks, fellas.
- 29:43Speaker 4: Have a ripper, mate.
- 29:44Speaker 1: Catch you, mate. And that's all. Thanks to our good
- 29:46Speaker 1: friends at Trade Tester. Make your deck great with Trade Tested,
- 29:49Speaker 1: and check out the oodles and oodles of stuff they
- 29:52Speaker 1: have at tradetester.co.nz.
- 29:57Speaker 4: See you in 25 minutes, brother.
- 29:59Speaker 3: Guns.
- 30:00Speaker 1: Roses.
- 30:02Speaker 2: The Hauraki Big Show. Weekdays from 4 on Radio Hauraki.
- 30:06Speaker 1: It's the White Stripes on the Hauraki Big Show. You
- 30:08Speaker 1: got Pugs and Mogi here for your Friday Arvo. And
- 30:11Speaker 1: this is going to be one of the last times
- 30:13Speaker 1: that I ever introduce a show like that, Mogi. as
- 30:15Speaker 1: the Pugs and Mogies show.
- 30:17Speaker 4: That's right. Yeah, we're finally finalising and getting a shortlist
- 30:21Speaker 4: of the best names for our show for the final week, Pugs.
- 30:24Speaker 4: They've been coming in like a flood all week. Look,
- 30:28Speaker 4: some better than others, but we've managed to come up with,
- 30:31Speaker 4: I think we've got four possible names here.
- 30:33Speaker 1: Yes, we've got four finalists because I believe that's the
- 30:36Speaker 1: maximum amount of poll options you can put on Insta.
- 30:39Speaker 1: So that seemed like the appropriate amount. So I'll run
- 30:42Speaker 1: you through them and maybe we'll pick our picks or
- 30:44Speaker 1: our favourites on what the people might just go for.
- 30:47Speaker 1: So first one out the gate, my personal favourite, Stout
- 30:53Speaker 1: and the Snout.
- 30:54Speaker 3: Yes, Stout.
- 30:55Speaker 4: I like that one. It's not bad.
- 30:56Speaker 1: I think it captures us pretty well. The next one here,
- 30:59Speaker 1: one and a half mongrels.
- 31:01Speaker 4: One and a half mongrels is good.
- 31:03Speaker 1: I think that's clever. It sort of implies, you know,
- 31:05Speaker 1: the father-son thing we've got going, man, and also something
- 31:09Speaker 1: about me having a half a mongrel.
- 31:10Speaker 4: Yeah, well, I think you'd be more likely to have
- 31:12Speaker 4: a full mongrel.
- 31:14Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 31:14Speaker 4: And I'd be running a half, given my age.
- 31:16Speaker 1: That's valid. That's really valid. Moving on. This one was
- 31:20Speaker 1: a bit of a rogue one. It kind of came
- 31:21Speaker 1: out of nowhere, but I like the creativity. The Michael
- 31:24Speaker 1: and James Show.
- 31:25Speaker 5: Yes.
- 31:26Speaker 4: The Michael and James Show.
- 31:28Speaker 1: The Michael and James Show.
- 31:31Speaker 4: It's controversial.
- 31:33Speaker 1: It's controversial. And then finally, for some reason, when we
- 31:37Speaker 1: brought up the idea of naming the duo again, this
- 31:40Speaker 1: one came back. Woke Boy and The Truth.
- 31:42Speaker 4: Woke Boy and The Truth is an absolute shitter.
- 31:46Speaker 1: I don't know how. I think you came up with
- 31:47Speaker 1: that when we did one show together late last year.
- 31:50Speaker 1: It was the last day of the year, and we
- 31:51Speaker 1: were just punishing ourselves.
- 31:53Speaker 4: Isn't that so funny? I remember that we did a show.
- 31:56Speaker 4: I thought we probably did more than that, but I
- 31:57Speaker 4: don't remember that it was the last day of the year.
- 31:59Speaker 1: Yeah, we were literally like... I think Chris had an
- 32:02Speaker 1: extra day of leave or something. That's right. And Jase
- 32:05Speaker 1: was finishing up early. Yeah. Because they had more leave
- 32:09Speaker 1: or something like that.
- 32:10Speaker 4: That's right. He found an extra day of leave, didn't he?
- 32:12Speaker 1: And you were stuck limping over the finish line with me,
- 32:17Speaker 1: woke boy.
- 32:17Speaker 4: It was a relief.
- 32:18Speaker 1: So what we'll do is I'll get a post up
- 32:20Speaker 1: on the Hauraki Big Show Insta with all four of
- 32:24Speaker 1: those names. And that will be a binding referendum on
- 32:26Speaker 1: what we call the show for the next week, including... Stings,
- 32:29Speaker 1: and we'll track down the people that came up with
- 32:32Speaker 1: the winning name, and we'll make sure we get them
- 32:34Speaker 1: a re-burger. Yeah, boy.
- 32:39Speaker 2: The Hodaki Big Show with Jace, Mike, and Keezy. Tune
- 32:42Speaker 2: in weekdays at 4 on Radio Hodaki.
- 32:44Speaker 1: It is the Hodaki Big Show, brought to you by
- 32:47Speaker 1: the good folks at Re-Burger, handcrafted burgers, loaded fries, and
- 32:50Speaker 1: gourmet eats that will change the game.
- 32:53Speaker 3: Mmm, yummy.
- 32:56Speaker 1: Had your hungover tea go last night, Mogi?
- 33:00Speaker 4: Pretty good. I think I might have had fish and... Oh, no,
- 33:04Speaker 4: I didn't.
- 33:04Speaker 1: No?
- 33:05Speaker 4: I had something else, which I won't go into here.
- 33:08Speaker 4: But it was a massive disappointment.
- 33:10Speaker 1: Oh, okay.
- 33:10Speaker 4: I can say that.
- 33:11Speaker 1: Probably because it wasn't Reburger.
- 33:12Speaker 4: It wasn't Reburger.
- 33:14Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 33:14Speaker 4: It's one of those ones where if you don't time
- 33:16Speaker 4: it right and it's sort of sitting under the lamps,
- 33:19Speaker 4: you know?
- 33:20Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 33:21Speaker 4: Sitting under the lamps for a while and it turned
- 33:22Speaker 4: up and it was just the driest bastard you've ever
- 33:24Speaker 4: been involved with.
- 33:25Speaker 1: So.
- 33:26Speaker 4: No, I was gutted, actually.
- 33:27Speaker 6: Gutted.
- 33:28Speaker 1: And plans for tonight? When's your family back?
- 33:31Speaker 4: Well, meant to be tomorrow, but potentially staying away longer.
- 33:34Speaker 4: I'm just in a text conversation at the moment. But yes,
- 33:37Speaker 4: I've got all of tomorrow to finish my cleaning mission.
- 33:42Speaker 4: So tonight, what's happening tonight? Go to the gym. Tomorrow,
- 33:46Speaker 4: cleaning mission followed by the All Blacks. And then, yeah,
- 33:50Speaker 4: I don't know. We'll see how we go with the
- 33:51Speaker 4: missus coming home.
- 33:52Speaker 1: Oh, fantastic.
- 33:53Speaker 4: Oh, you're away for the weekend.
- 33:55Speaker 1: I am away for the weekend. Yeah, of course you are.
- 33:57Speaker 1: Going to Rotorua to meet the brother-in-law there. See the
- 34:01Speaker 1: whole family and maybe go for a swim, maybe go
- 34:03Speaker 1: on the luge.
- 34:04Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 34:05Speaker 1: So really excited for that.
- 34:06Speaker 4: Should be a great weekend.
- 34:07Speaker 1: Now, on the way this hour, we'll be touching on
- 34:09Speaker 1: the big sporting weekend ahead, plus the last best bit
- 34:12Speaker 1: for the week. So your chance to dive into the
- 34:14Speaker 1: Big Show archives. And in the meantime, here's some Chemical
- 34:17Speaker 1: Brothers on Hauraki.
- 34:19Speaker 2: The Hauraki Big Show with Jase, Mike and Keezy. Tune
- 34:22Speaker 2: in weekdays at 4 on Radio Hauraki.
- 34:25Speaker 1: It's Queens of the Stone Age on the Hauraki Big
- 34:27Speaker 1: Show with Pugs and Mogi. And it's the last time
- 34:30Speaker 1: I'll be diving into the library, the archive for the week, Mogi.
- 34:33Speaker 1: One more best bit.
- 34:34Speaker 4: Oh, right.
- 34:35Speaker 1: Just to keep the people fed with hearing Oedee Jane
- 34:38Speaker 1: Keezy's voice. Now, this one's from two years ago. And
- 34:42Speaker 1: this is right when Chris had just started house hunting
- 34:46Speaker 1: or thinking about moving house.
- 34:47Speaker 4: Jeez, has it been going on that long?
- 34:49Speaker 1: It's been going on that long. He's been passively looking
- 34:52Speaker 1: in the market for a wee while, and this was
- 34:53Speaker 1: very early on. But Jase had a fantastic idea. of
- 34:56Speaker 1: just where he might find a great house to live.
- 34:59Speaker 8: Keezy, I can't help but notice over the last week
- 35:01Speaker 8: and a half, indeed two weeks, that you're on your
- 35:05Speaker 8: computer there having a bit of a sift through properties
- 35:08Speaker 8: in between songs and tunes on our show.
- 35:12Speaker 3: I'm very aware of the fact that you look at
- 35:14Speaker 3: you and your lovely, lovely wife. Holy hecka. Holy hecka.
- 35:20Speaker 1: Jesus, that's pretty full on.
- 35:22Speaker 3: Looking to, you know, move up.
- 35:25Speaker 1: Well, we're just starting to think about it.
- 35:26Speaker 3: The property sort of scale maybe branch out a little bit.
- 35:29Speaker 5: Well, we're just, like, starting to look, you know what
- 35:31Speaker 5: I mean? Like, we're just going, all right, maybe we
- 35:32Speaker 5: need to upgrade our house. You know, maybe the time
- 35:34Speaker 5: has come. Because we've been there for seven years.
- 35:37Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah. Seven years.
- 35:39Speaker 1: Seven years. Seven years.
- 35:40Speaker 3: Far out, man.
- 35:42Speaker 4: Well, originally when we... That's ages.
- 35:44Speaker 3: I know. And the artists do too, which is a shithole.
- 35:47Speaker 4: Yeah, that's... Shocking.
- 35:49Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean....
- 35:51Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, look, I like the suburb, personally. It's
- 35:55Speaker 5: in West Auckland, but, you know, people living around New
- 35:56Speaker 5: Zealand won't give a crap where Te Atatu is.
- 35:58Speaker 4: No, exactly, that's right.
- 35:59Speaker 1: But it's in West Auckland, lovely little spot.
- 36:01Speaker 3: That's just jokes. I love Te Atatu.
- 36:03Speaker 4: It's beautiful.
- 36:04Speaker 1: Okay, this is weird.
- 36:06Speaker 8: But I'm thinking to myself, because I've been talking about
- 36:08Speaker 8: the fact that I'm moving out of my house.
- 36:09Speaker 4: Oh, my God.
- 36:10Speaker 8: And I'm thinking, talk about two worlds colliding here.
- 36:15Speaker 4: The answer was under the massive honker this whole time.
- 36:17Speaker 3: The whole time, Mogi. Why don't you? And your lovely,
- 36:23Speaker 3: lovely wife. Jeez Louise.
- 36:27Speaker 1: My name's Lucy. Holy heck.
- 36:29Speaker 3: Man alive, 85. What? Now you're talking. Move, maybe buy,
- 36:36Speaker 3: look at buying our house.
- 36:37Speaker 8: Because what we could do in that process is cut
- 36:40Speaker 8: out the.
- 36:40Speaker 3: Middleman, Keezy.
- 36:42Speaker 1: Who's the middle?
- 36:43Speaker 5: Oh, like a real estate agent.
- 36:45Speaker 4: I don't know about you guys. It's shocking.
- 36:47Speaker 8: It's outrageous how much of a cut they get from
- 36:50Speaker 8: your proceeds.
- 36:52Speaker 4: 80%, man.
- 36:52Speaker 3: Unbelievable.
- 36:53Speaker 4: 80%. 80%.
- 36:54Speaker 1: I thought it was like four or three.
- 36:57Speaker 3: Jeez, no, mate. Well, it's been seven years since you've
- 36:59Speaker 3: sold a house, so you've got some harsh lessons to learn.
- 37:04Speaker 1: I've never sold a house, Eddie.
- 37:05Speaker 6: Oh, right.
- 37:05Speaker 1: Because this is my first house.
- 37:07Speaker 3: What?
- 37:08Speaker 1: The problem is, Jase, you live like deep.
- 37:09Speaker 4: In West Auckland.
- 37:10Speaker 3: Yeah, man, I'm a true Westie.
- 37:12Speaker 1: Yeah, you and your beautiful, beautiful wife.
- 37:17Speaker 4: Hang on.
- 37:17Speaker 1: Easy on me, easy.
- 37:18Speaker 3: Just come on, mate. Show some respect there, man. That's
- 37:22Speaker 3: a bit pervy.
- 37:24Speaker 4: You're a shocking bastard.
- 37:25Speaker 3: What the hell's going on there?
- 37:27Speaker 1: You guys live deep in West Auckland, right?
- 37:29Speaker 3: Yes.
- 37:29Speaker 5: Even further than where I live. Because we need a
- 37:34Speaker 5: bit more space, you know?
- 37:35Speaker 1: Have you got a big property?
- 37:36Speaker 3: Huge property. About 900 square metres. Wow.
- 37:40Speaker 8: Beautiful backyard there.
- 37:42Speaker 4: Usable?
- 37:42Speaker 3: Oh, yeah, it's usable, all right. I mean, we never do.
- 37:46Speaker 1: No.
- 37:47Speaker 8: And there is a massive tree at the back of
- 37:49Speaker 8: our property that needs to be cut down, but I
- 37:51Speaker 8: just can't be. I mean, it's a bloody expensive bastard
- 37:53Speaker 8: to cut down. You're probably looking 6,000 or 7,000K just
- 37:57Speaker 8: right off the bat there.
- 37:58Speaker 3: But, yeah, big property.
- 38:00Speaker 1: 6,000 or 7,000K?
- 38:01Speaker 3: Yeah. To cut the tree down. It is massive.
- 38:04Speaker 6: Right.
- 38:05Speaker 1: Okay, but is the land, like, flat and usable?
- 38:07Speaker 6: Is it cleared?
- 38:07Speaker 4: Is it usable?
- 38:08Speaker 3: It's a bit hilly.
- 38:11Speaker 1: Right, so you're on a hill.
- 38:12Speaker 4: Rolling hills.
- 38:13Speaker 3: Yeah, it's like a rolling meadow.
- 38:15Speaker 4: If you will.
- 38:16Speaker 1: A meadow, right.
- 38:17Speaker 4: With a pet cemetery on it. Right.
- 38:19Speaker 3: Yeah, there's a few things buried there.
- 38:21Speaker 1: How many bedrooms?
- 38:23Speaker 3: Well, three.
- 38:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 38:25Speaker 3: But you could.
- 38:26Speaker 8: Make it four if you use the sunroom as a bedroom.
- 38:29Speaker 6: Yes.
- 38:29Speaker 1: Like conservatory.
- 38:30Speaker 3: Yeah, well, conservatory.
- 38:32Speaker 8: But the windows are falling out there, so I probably
- 38:36Speaker 8: wouldn't use it at this stage as a bedroom.
- 38:39Speaker 3: And the roof leaks occasionally, only when it really pisses down, though.
- 38:42Speaker 4: Right.
- 38:44Speaker 1: Does it have, like, it's got heat pumps and all that, eh?
- 38:46Speaker 3: It's got a heat pump.
- 38:47Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 38:47Speaker 3: But she's such an old villa, she's a drafty bastard. Yeah, right.
- 38:52Speaker 8: I mean, it's kind of pointless having it because it
- 38:54Speaker 8: just dissipates out the house as soon as it's pumped
- 38:57Speaker 8: out there.
- 38:57Speaker 1: Do you still have that pig that lives underneath the floorboards?
- 39:00Speaker 3: Yeah, can't catch the bastard.
- 39:02Speaker 1: A pig? Like a wild pig?
- 39:04Speaker 4: It's like a, what do you call it there, an insincerator,
- 39:06Speaker 4: but it's a pig.
- 39:08Speaker 3: Oh, wow.
- 39:08Speaker 8: Well, it's bloody handy, actually, because our sinker is actually broken,
- 39:12Speaker 8: so the food just goes straight under the house.
- 39:15Speaker 3: The bastard just hoes into it.
- 39:16Speaker 1: It's a big bastard now, as you can imagine. Your
- 39:18Speaker 1: sink drains straight under the house. Yeah, straight under the, yeah.
- 39:22Speaker 5: And is that normal for all the other stuff in
- 39:24Speaker 5: your house, too, like your shower and your toilet and stuff?
- 39:25Speaker 3: We've got two showers.
- 39:27Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 39:27Speaker 4: Only one of them works, though.
- 39:29Speaker 8: And the one that is working, actually, the glass is
- 39:31Speaker 8: coming a bit loose there, so you just need to
- 39:33Speaker 8: be careful when you're in there, that's all.
- 39:34Speaker 3: Two toilets... Again, only one of them works. Someone's done
- 39:39Speaker 3: an absolute steamer in the other one. I would be
- 39:41Speaker 3: buggered if I can dislodge the bastard.
- 39:44Speaker 4: I've been trying to get the pig to come up,
- 39:45Speaker 4: but he won't come in the house.
- 39:46Speaker 1: Yeah, he won't come in the house.
- 39:47Speaker 4: Because he's scared of the duck, because there's a duck
- 39:49Speaker 4: that lives in the lounge.
- 39:50Speaker 1: Walter.
- 39:52Speaker 4: Right.
- 39:54Speaker 1: You know what, Chase? I'm all good now.
- 39:55Speaker 3: Well, hang on a minute.
- 39:56Speaker 4: How much?
- 39:57Speaker 8: Wow.
- 39:57Speaker 1: How much, man? 1.4, 1.5.
- 39:58Speaker 3: It's in your kind of... Million.
- 40:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 40:01Speaker 3: I'm all good, man.
- 40:07Speaker 4: I would suggest you just go around and have a look.
- 40:11Speaker 1: Can I come around and have a look?
- 40:12Speaker 4: No.
- 40:14Speaker 1: And now look at him. Keezy still hasn't sussed a house.
- 40:16Speaker 1: I think you should have taken him up on the offer,
- 40:18Speaker 1: to be honest.
- 40:18Speaker 4: Well, that's right. I mean, he's probably going to end
- 40:20Speaker 4: up living on the street.
- 40:24Speaker 1: You can find every show The Big Show's ever done
- 40:26Speaker 1: by searching Hauraki Big Show, wherever you get your podcasts from.
- 40:29Speaker 1: In the meantime, here's some ads.
- 40:31Speaker 2: The Hauraki Big Show. Weekdays from 4 on Radio Hauraki.
- 40:35Speaker 1: That's Pixies on the Hauraki Big Show with Pugs and Mogi.
- 40:40Speaker 1: And we're really pushing getting people to vote this week,
- 40:43Speaker 1: aren't we, Mogi?
- 40:43Speaker 4: We are. We are. There's a whole lot of people
- 40:47Speaker 4: out there that haven't enrolled to vote. A lot of
- 40:50Speaker 4: 18 to 24-year-olds. Young bastards, you know what I mean? Now,
- 40:54Speaker 4: I'm pretty sure that when I turned 18, I enrolled
- 40:56Speaker 4: to vote. I was straight into it.
- 40:58Speaker 6: Really?
- 40:58Speaker 1: Yeah. See, I was really slack. Like I was the
- 41:02Speaker 1: other day and I hadn't checked. It was the same
- 41:04Speaker 1: when I was younger. Obviously, I wasn't as politically minded
- 41:08Speaker 1: as I am now. No. And I think going back,
- 41:11Speaker 1: I would have changed that so that I had more
- 41:12Speaker 1: of a say.
- 41:13Speaker 4: Yeah, absolutely.
- 41:14Speaker 1: Because now I'm right on it in terms of not
- 41:17Speaker 1: necessarily enrolling. That took me a while, but I have
- 41:19Speaker 1: much more of an opinion.
- 41:21Speaker 4: Yeah, that's right. And I think it is the sort
- 41:22Speaker 4: of thing that comes in your order because when you're young,
- 41:24Speaker 4: it just looks like it's boring shit for old people.
- 41:27Speaker 1: Yes, or you don't totally understand quite how it works.
- 41:30Speaker 1: Like it was only recently that I started to fully
- 41:32Speaker 1: understand what they're going on about a lot of the time.
- 41:35Speaker 1: And partially that's because I'm slow. But apparently there are...
- 41:39Speaker 1: just under 200,000 eligible 18 to 24-year-olds that are still
- 41:43Speaker 1: not enrolled.
- 41:43Speaker 4: And what's funny about it is, and we did this
- 41:45Speaker 4: the other day, is by the time, you know, so
- 41:48Speaker 4: put it this way, you can go to enroll or enroll.nz,
- 41:51Speaker 4: or sorry, vote.nz or on enroll.nz and enroll to vote.
- 41:55Speaker 4: And the time it takes you, us, to finish this break,
- 41:58Speaker 4: you could be all enrolled and sorted.
- 42:00Speaker 1: 100%.
- 42:00Speaker 4: So it is super, super quick. Then you get to
- 42:03Speaker 4: have your say. The other thing is that enrolment finishes,
- 42:07Speaker 4: your deadline is the 25th of October, so you've only
- 42:09Speaker 4: got a couple of weeks there. It used to be
- 42:11Speaker 4: that you could roll up on election day and enrol
- 42:14Speaker 4: and vote, but they've gotten rid of that. That'll come
- 42:17Speaker 4: back in for the next election cycle, another one of
- 42:19Speaker 4: those ones that changes depending on who's in. But you
- 42:22Speaker 4: get involved, have a vote, and then you can moan.
- 42:26Speaker 4: Can I say, Pat, because that's kind of the beauty
- 42:28Speaker 4: about it, is if you have a vote, hopefully you
- 42:31Speaker 4: get to take some credit. Hopefully the people in do
- 42:33Speaker 4: something good. But if they don't and your mates, you know,
- 42:36Speaker 4: voted for someone else and then those people get in,
- 42:39Speaker 4: any time they average or are not delivering, you're just
- 42:42Speaker 4: absolutely riding your mates about it. It's another opportunity to
- 42:45Speaker 4: give your mates shit.
- 42:47Speaker 1: Can I just say, based on all the chats we've
- 42:49Speaker 1: had this week about being on a roll and being
- 42:51Speaker 1: in a group chat, I'm glad I'm only in two
- 42:53Speaker 1: group chats with you.
- 42:54Speaker 4: Yeah, you get a very mild version of me as well, pugs.
- 42:57Speaker 4: Very mild.
- 42:58Speaker 1: And you send some absolute fouls. Honoroll.nz. It's a rangatahi-led,
- 43:03Speaker 1: non-partisan campaign focused on getting young people like you enrolled
- 43:06Speaker 1: and informed, and they don't even care about who you
- 43:08Speaker 1: vote for. So get around it. Or if you're not
- 43:10Speaker 1: 18 to 24, go to vote.nz. Here's Dakota by Stereophonics
- 43:14Speaker 1: on the Hauraki Big Show.
- 43:16Speaker 2: The Hauraki Big Show. Weekdays from 4 on Radio Hauraki.
- 43:20Speaker 1: That's Phoenix Foundation on the Hauraki Big Show with Pugs
- 43:24Speaker 1: and Mogi and a very special guest for some sports chat.
- 43:30Speaker 1: Go on, Dilly. Hit it.
- 43:39Speaker 4: Sorry, I caught it. Pretty good.
- 43:43Speaker 1: We're welcoming Big Dilly from Studio B into Studio A
- 43:47Speaker 1: because it's a big sporting weekend. And Dilly, you're the
- 43:50Speaker 1: man to talk about Bathurst. What's going on, man? Mate,
- 43:52Speaker 1: it's not just a.
- 43:53Speaker 6: Big sporting weekend. It's the big sporting weekend. It is
- 43:55Speaker 6: the great race this weekend, gentlemen. 1.30 over in Sydney,
- 44:00Speaker 6: Bathurst to be specific. 161 laps of high-octane V8 goodness.
- 44:06Speaker 4: Get it in you.
- 44:06Speaker 1: Is that Saturday or Sunday?
- 44:07Speaker 4: Sunday.
- 44:08Speaker 1: Okay. It's a whole weekend though, isn't it?
- 44:11Speaker 4: They have a whole bunch of other racing?
- 44:13Speaker 7: Yeah, there's different categories and everything.
- 44:14Speaker 6: You'll have the qualifying on the Saturday there and the
- 44:17Speaker 6: top 10 shootouts.
- 44:18Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 44:19Speaker 6: But the big race, which has a total of, let
- 44:21Speaker 6: me check my notes, 27 cars in it this year.
- 44:24Speaker 6: That'll be the checkered flag. Sorry, not the checkered flag.
- 44:28Speaker 7: The main flag dropping at 1.30 in the afternoon.
- 44:31Speaker 1: Is that a lot or less than usual, 27 cars?
- 44:38Speaker 1: This is how little I know.
- 44:40Speaker 7: More than the rest of the rounds.
- 44:41Speaker 1: I can tell you that.
- 44:42Speaker 7: Normally I think they have about 12 teams.
- 44:45Speaker 4: It's interesting because of course Holden's are gone. So what
- 44:49Speaker 4: sort of participants do you have these days? Because it
- 44:51Speaker 4: used to be all about Holden versus Ford and then
- 44:54Speaker 4: They got rid of Holden's.
- 44:55Speaker 6: You've got your Ford Mustangs. You've got your Chevy Camaros.
- 44:58Speaker 6: And for the first time, you've got your Toyota Supras
- 45:02Speaker 6: going around this year as well.
- 45:03Speaker 1: What? How good.
- 45:04Speaker 3: I love a Supra.
- 45:04Speaker 4: Yeah, new model Supras.
- 45:05Speaker 6: Yeah, I think there is five of them on the
- 45:08Speaker 6: mountain this year.
- 45:09Speaker 1: I've really enjoyed out in the office this week on
- 45:11Speaker 1: the TV. They've been playing back old Bathurst, and you've
- 45:13Speaker 1: just seen all the real old school cars just absolutely
- 45:17Speaker 1: going it. Fantastic. And have you got any picks or
- 45:21Speaker 1: anybody that you'd like to see in first, man?
- 45:24Speaker 6: Well, last year, Matthew Payne, the Kiwi, took it out,
- 45:26Speaker 6: and I would like to see him do it again
- 45:27Speaker 6: this year. And I think he is probably in with
- 45:31Speaker 6: the best shot. But, hey, the good thing about Bathurst is...
- 45:33Speaker 6: It is literally anyone's game. Anything can happen, and it
- 45:36Speaker 6: often does.
- 45:36Speaker 1: Fantastic. And you're doing a watch-along in the Betcha Lounge.
- 45:39Speaker 4: Is that right?
- 45:39Speaker 1: I certainly am.
- 45:40Speaker 6: Yes, you can join me and an array of other
- 45:43Speaker 6: guests that will be popping in across the afternoon. We'll
- 45:45Speaker 6: be live-streaming that on the ACC, Alternative Comedy Collective's YouTube channel.
- 45:50Speaker 1: And speaking of the ACC, they are doing coverage of
- 45:53Speaker 1: the ABs v.
- 45:53Speaker 4: Australia. They are, that's right. The big match happening on
- 45:57Speaker 4: Saturday night, I believe. I can only assume that the
- 46:00Speaker 4: kick-off time is 7.10, it looks like.
- 46:03Speaker 1: Yeah, 7.10. That's also live and free here on Hauraki
- 46:06Speaker 1: as well as the ACC. So get around that.
- 46:08Speaker 4: Should be a bloody good one. You've got Australia coming
- 46:11Speaker 4: off the back of victory with an 11-man team over
- 46:15Speaker 4: South Africa who just flogged us for three tests out
- 46:18Speaker 4: of four. Coming over here with a little bit of
- 46:21Speaker 4: confidence in them. It'll be interesting to see how they go.
- 46:24Speaker 4: We'll be playing at Eden Park where we tend to
- 46:26Speaker 4: do pretty well, but... Of course, All Blacks are down to,
- 46:29Speaker 4: I think, their third choice, first 5-8, which will make
- 46:32Speaker 4: things interesting.
- 46:33Speaker 1: Fantastic. There's your sporting chat for the weekend.
- 46:35Speaker 4: Thanks, Big Dilly.
- 46:36Speaker 3: No worries.
- 46:59Speaker 1: We made it mogi we did that's halfway done yeah
- 47:02Speaker 1: man the mogi and pug show and uh as of
- 47:05Speaker 1: monday we will have a name selected i'll come in
- 47:07Speaker 1: with a with a few stings to try out over
- 47:10Speaker 1: the week. You've already said your plans for the weekend, man.
- 47:13Speaker 1: You've got one more night of Bachelor life.
- 47:15Speaker 4: Possibly a couple more. I've just been chatting, as discussed,
- 47:19Speaker 4: and the missus might be extending her stay away. Yeah,
- 47:27Speaker 4: I mean, look, we'll talk about it more on Monday,
- 47:29Speaker 4: but it makes things quite interesting because I've got a
- 47:31Speaker 4: bit of a milestone coming up next week.
- 47:33Speaker 1: You certainly do.
- 47:34Speaker 4: So we'll have a chat about that. And, yeah, something
- 47:37Speaker 4: to look forward to. But, yes, a fun weekend, and
- 47:40Speaker 4: I think it's going to be a sunny bastard tomorrow,
- 47:42Speaker 4: although it clouds over late. And then packs up before
- 47:46Speaker 4: being beautiful again on Monday.
- 47:48Speaker 1: Yeah. And we're back in here, boy.
- 47:50Speaker 4: And we're back in here.
- 47:51Speaker 1: I'm heading straight on the road. Going to hop in
- 47:53Speaker 1: the car. I literally drove the car into work so
- 47:55Speaker 1: I could get straight in it and pick up my partner.
- 47:56Speaker 1: And then we're just going to get straight on the
- 47:58Speaker 1: motorway to Rotorua for the weekend. Which will be a
- 48:00Speaker 1: lovely time. I'll take on all of your lovely advice
- 48:03Speaker 1: on 3403 on how to deal with the brother-in-law so
- 48:05Speaker 1: I don't get done.
- 48:06Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 48:08Speaker 1: And I don't have the beret, though. I did throw
- 48:10Speaker 1: that out. Yeah. Just for podcast listeners out there, we
- 48:14Speaker 1: have a bonus one that comes out at 7.30 every night.
- 48:16Speaker 1: Over the week, I've been doing podcasts from this day in,
- 48:20Speaker 1: from this week in years past.
- 48:22Speaker 4: So like this week in 22, 23. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 48:24Speaker 1: Today I've done a mix of our most popular outro
- 48:27Speaker 1: and disclaimer podcasts.
- 48:29Speaker 3: Oh, right.
- 48:29Speaker 1: So I've gone through our most downloaded ones, and I've
- 48:31Speaker 1: taken snippets from each of those for a bit of
- 48:33Speaker 1: a Friday mix. Right, nice. So you can enjoy that.
- 48:36Speaker 1: That'll be out at 7.30, along with anything that you've
- 48:38Speaker 1: missed from this show today. Search Hideki Big Show, wherever
- 48:41Speaker 1: you get yours. And in the meantime, have a beautiful weekend.
- 48:44Speaker 4: You too, mate.
- 48:45Speaker 1: That's it from us. See you later.
- 48:47Speaker 4: See yous.
