- 0:00Welcome to World View Matters, discussing controversial issues, discerning current events,
- 0:10defending biblical Christianity.
- 0:13No topic, off limits.
- 0:16And now, here's your host, David Fierrazo.
- 0:20Friends, family and Christ, thank you so much for tuning in.
- 0:22We've got our friend, Jonathan Brentner, back with us, the author of Lavish Feast.
- 0:27That's his latest book.
- 0:29We had him on recently to talk about that.
- 0:31It's been probably several months now, but you can go look up that one, but you can get
- 0:35his book at JonathanBrentner.com.
- 0:37Also, he's got a Facebook page, Jonathan C. Brentner.
- 0:42You can look him up there and connect with him.
- 0:45And brother, good to see you again.
- 0:47Thanks for your time today.
- 0:48Well, thanks for having me on.
- 0:50I so appreciate invitation to be back with you, David.
- 0:53Well, it encourages both of us, so there.
- 0:57Before we jump into today's topic, and just how much closer can we get?
- 1:02And the encouragement of Bible prophecy and the rapture, which is under attack today.
- 1:08Before we get to that, tell us what you're doing.
- 1:11You are kind of in this new adventure for you doing your YouTube videos and just trying
- 1:16to encourage people.
- 1:18Tell us about that.
- 1:19Okay.
- 1:20Well, several years ago, I recorded a few podcasts, and then I sort of let that go by the
- 1:26wayside.
- 1:27And then I just felt recently that I wanted to get back into doing that.
- 1:32And my emphasis right now is to provide short videos, maybe 10 to 15 minutes of the ones
- 1:39longer.
- 1:40Just describing why we can have confidence in approaching a relation rapture.
- 1:45That is really my heart.
- 1:46The really heart of my ministry is to defend what we believe about.
- 1:51Most of all, about Israel and about the most promises to them.
- 1:56And furthermore, also, God's promises to us that He's coming for us someday.
- 2:02He's going to take us up to heaven.
- 2:04And my latest video is on John 14 versus 2 and 3, where I emphasize just the importance
- 2:11that Jesus is preparing a place for us.
- 2:15We have a home, and it's just so encouraging to me, and I hope it would be encouraging
- 2:20to other people as well, to other believers as well, that we have a home that, or Jesus
- 2:26is preparing a place for us.
- 2:29And it's no coincidence that He was a carpenter.
- 2:34Well, His dad was a carpenter, and we can almost be sure that He was trained in His dad's
- 2:39profession before we began His ministry.
- 2:42And that's what I emphasize that.
- 2:44He's building a place for us.
- 2:46And just how amazing is it that the Lord isn't preparing a place for us, in some far
- 2:53off, distant place in the galaxy?
- 2:56He's preparing a place for us where He's going to spend eternity.
- 3:00For God, the Father and the Lord Jesus, our Savior, it's their home as well, how amazing
- 3:07can that be.
- 3:08And we know it's a huge, huge place, but I just think it's so encouraging that He's
- 3:13preparing a place for us.
- 3:16This world is increasingly not our home, but He's coming back to take us to other places
- 3:22preparing for us.
- 3:24Amen.
- 3:25It's hard to imagine it really is, because God is spaceless, timeless, and here we are stuck
- 3:30in this current world.
- 3:32But you're referring to John chapter 14.
- 3:36And why don't we just read that, and you can say anything else you'd like to about
- 3:40that before we move on, Jonathan?
- 3:43Jesus said, do not let your heart be troubled, believe in God, believe also in me.
- 3:49In my Father's house are many dwelling places.
- 3:53If it were not so, I would have told you, for I go to prepare a place for you.
- 4:01If I go to prepare a place for you, I will come back again to receive you to myself that
- 4:06where I am, you may be also.
- 4:11And then he goes on to the first.
- 4:14I hope everybody knows in John 14, 6 when he said, I am the way the truth and the life.
- 4:19No one comes to the Father, but through me.
- 4:22But Jonathan, let's focus on, he's specifically said he's going, he's getting things ready,
- 4:31and he's going to come back, and then he's going to take us to be with him, share whatever
- 4:35you like on your heart right now.
- 4:37Okay, yes.
- 4:38The fact of the matter is he's coming to take us to where he is at, to where I am.
- 4:43He's not coming to be where we are at.
- 4:46And it's interesting, a few verses earlier, when Peter was wondering about why Jesus was
- 4:53going to leave them, the Lord Jesus said, you know, he indicated that they would follow
- 5:00him eventually.
- 5:01He would follow me, but not now.
- 5:04And he was referring to the time when he would come back for them and take him to the
- 5:08place that he was preparing for them.
- 5:12And in Colossians 3, 4, you know, Paul writes that when Jesus appears, we will appear with
- 5:19him in glory.
- 5:20That's not a place on earth.
- 5:22When Jesus comes, we go to glory to be with him.
- 5:26And then in the second coming, we come back to earth with him.
- 5:31So friends, I don't, I don't remember if I gave his website over at JonathanBrentner.com,
- 5:36but also Harbinger'sDaily.com.
- 5:39He's got an author page there as well there it is.
- 5:43So if you want to check out his writings there or his website and he's got a YouTube channel,
- 5:48he goes by Jonathan C. Brentner on YouTube.
- 5:52So let's move on to Daniel 9 and you focus on 927 and I like what you pointed out.
- 6:00And the verse says, he shall make a strong covenant with many for one week and then it
- 6:08goes on and then until the decreed end is poured out on the decilator.
- 6:15But let's focus on that, the strong covenant.
- 6:17And then it's not just with one person or one nation, it's for the covenant is with many.
- 6:23Can you explain that?
- 6:24For a long time, I didn't understand how that was going to work because it's evident
- 6:29that it refers to Israel as the covenant of death that the prophet Isaiah talks about
- 6:36in the book of Isaiah.
- 6:38But now we understand what that could signify.
- 6:43I'm not at all saying that Trump is anti-Christ or anything like that, but we see him gathering
- 6:48the support of many nations and building this, this League of Nations in a sense and hoping
- 6:56that the strength and numbers of all these Arab nations will help enforce the peace for Israel.
- 7:03Now we know it's not going to work until Jesus returns, but I think it's so fascinating
- 7:09that now we understand a little bit more about what it might signify and that there will
- 7:15be many nations involved in this and it's yet that we don't know yet how it's all going
- 7:21to play out and the specifics of it.
- 7:24But it is amazing that now we have many and it's like pointing out to my newsletter,
- 7:30presidents for 50 years have tried to bring peace between Israel and its Arab neighbors,
- 7:37but now something's a little bit different.
- 7:38I don't think it's going to work.
- 7:40It hasn't worked so far, but it's amazing to see how this is sitting the stage for what
- 7:47lies ahead.
- 7:49So I just want to quote you from your article and this again, friends, you can find this
- 7:53at JonathanBrentinter.com.
- 7:55It's exactly what we would expect.
- 7:57How much closer can we get?
- 7:59You say this, what we see happening at the UN, United Nations and among the nations is
- 8:05setting the stage for the accord that anti-Christ will make with, quote, the many to ensure
- 8:12peace in the Middle East.
- 8:14It's likely this covenant will allow Israel to build a third temple.
- 8:20In order to fulfill Jesus' words about the last week of Daniel, this temple must exist
- 8:26by the midpoint of the seven-year tribulation and it will.
- 8:31So Jonathan, there's a lot to unpack in just that, those couple sentences there.
- 8:36Would you do that, please?
- 8:38Okay, well, you know, working backwards, you know, the idea of the temple that we see
- 8:46the temple of fever in Israel like never before.
- 8:50The temple of altitude is trading Levites to be, to service priests in the temple.
- 8:57You know, we see this fever just exploding throughout Israel, even the government has
- 9:02gotten into the planning for the eventuality that there will be a temple on the temple
- 9:09mount.
- 9:10And as I explained earlier, we see the stage sitting with, with the many that Trump
- 9:14is involving many nations and trying to secure the peace in Israel.
- 9:20And we don't know exactly how it'll transpire.
- 9:22We don't know exactly how anti-Christ will turn this into his covenant.
- 9:28But we see the framework that I believe he will eventually use.
- 9:34So also you go on to say, consider how these things fit what the Bible says about Israel
- 9:42in the last days.
- 9:43And then there's some bullet points and very, very clear.
- 9:46When you look at them listed like this, Jonathan, it's like, wow, Israel exists as a nation
- 9:52steeped in unbelief.
- 9:54Check Israel is either at war or under constant threat of imminent attack.
- 10:01Check the obsession of many nations seeking to bring peace to the Middle East.
- 10:07Check that off.
- 10:08A growing passion within Israel to build the third temple.
- 10:13Check.
- 10:14And already trained, as you mentioned, Levite priesthood ready to serve in the future temple.
- 10:18And then here's one I would like you to speak a little bit more to intense worldwide anti-semitism.
- 10:27Check.
- 10:28Not surprising, but I guess it may be caught a lot of people, especially in America off
- 10:32guard since October 7, 2023.
- 10:34Go ahead, Jonathan.
- 10:35Yes, it was building before that.
- 10:39But as you look at what will happen during the tribulation period, we know that anti-Christ
- 10:45is going to succeed in killing a great many of the Jewish people, and it's not going
- 10:50to do that in a vacuum.
- 10:52Just as Hitler had a great army supporting his anti-Jewish agenda in concentration camps
- 11:01and whatever, the anti-Christ will also have a league of people and it's not going to
- 11:07happen in a vacuum.
- 11:09And long ago, I thought, you know, if what happens during the tribulation to the Jews is going
- 11:15to happen, we're going to have to see the build-up of anti-semitism in our world, and boy
- 11:22is it ever exploding.
- 11:24And I also believe that the anti-semitism of the world is driving people to Israel, even
- 11:31though the nation is under like a cast of threat of war, if they're not being bombed
- 11:37at the time, people are still going back to Israel.
- 11:40I read recently that Israel is saying that if people want to come to Israel, especially
- 11:46for New York, that they'll forego the income tax for them for a couple years, they're trying
- 11:52to give breaks to businesses who come back to Israel, so it makes it easier for them
- 11:58to do.
- 11:59And the election of that, the socialist Muslim in New York is just adding fuel to the fire.
- 12:07And could that lead to many Jews from New York going to Israel?
- 12:11I'm not sure, but it seems that it's a likely scenario in the future.
- 12:16Yeah, that was, I would say eye-opening, maybe to a lot of people.
- 12:22The election of Mamdani in New York as the mayor of New York City.
- 12:27So it'll be interesting to see how many Jewish people move out of New York.
- 12:33That's still to be seen.
- 12:34But a couple more minutes before we take a brief pause with you, Jonathan, the next section
- 12:39that I'm going through your article here, Tis the season.
- 12:42And you say yes, yes, the holiday season is here, but I'm referring to another season,
- 12:49and that is of Jesus' imminent appearing.
- 12:53I say that because according to second Thessalonians 2, 3 through 8,
- 12:58Antichrist cannot appear on the world scene until after the rapture.
- 13:05So can you talk just about that timing briefly?
- 13:08Yes, it seems to be that, you know, well, in second Thessalonians, Paul was talking about the fact
- 13:15that the day of the Lord had not started yet, and he was telling them that,
- 13:19they could know that the day of the Lord had not started yet because the Antichrist was not on
- 13:24the world scene. Then a little bit later in that same passage, there seems to be a connection
- 13:31between the restrainer, who might believe is a Holy Spirit.
- 13:34The restrainer is removed during the time of the rapture.
- 13:39And after that, there's no more restriction on Antichrist appearing on the world scene.
- 13:45So there seems to be that that train of events that the rapture happens,
- 13:50and the restraining force of the Holy Spirit leaves with us.
- 13:54Now, that doesn't mean that the Holy Spirit will be active during the translation period,
- 13:59because we see a great many people will come to know Jesus as their Savior,
- 14:03after we're gone.
- 14:05It just means that this particular ministry of the Holy Spirit through us as believers
- 14:11will end in the Holy Spirit.
- 14:13I'm sorry.
- 14:14And then Antichrist will in his reign of lawlessness will be fully revealed to the world.
- 14:21I like the warnings in that section from 2 Thessalonians 2 as well.
- 14:25I mean, it starts out by saying, we request you, brethren, it says that you not be quickly shaken
- 14:32from your composure. Now, this is the new American standard version of reading,
- 14:36but don't be shaken from your composure or disturbed either by a spirit or a message or a letter
- 14:42as if it were from us to the effect that the day the Lord has come.
- 14:46And then it says, again, in verse 3, let no one in any way deceive you for it will not come
- 14:53until or unless the apostasy comes first in the man of lawlessness is revealed.
- 14:58A lot of warnings, it seems like Jesus said, watch or do not be deceived so many times.
- 15:03Paul does picks up the same theme quite often when he talks about these things.
- 15:08Don't be deceived. Make sure you go to the word know exactly what's happening.
- 15:12But Jonathan, we've got to take a brief pause.
- 15:15We'll come back. We'll talk more about this on World View Matters Friends. Watch this.
- 15:20Introducing the World View Matters Conference coming to Green Bay, Wisconsin may first and
- 15:25second 2026. Here are some of the featured speakers. Ken Michael, Olivier Melnick, Tim
- 15:32Chaffee, Mark and Amber Archer, Laura Perry Smalls, Dr. Jake Jacobs, Jay Seigert, Gary Cod,
- 15:41Scott Shera, and Elijah Abraham. That's the World View Matters Conference May first and second,
- 15:482026, Green Bay, Wisconsin. All right, friends. I've got notes every now and then people
- 15:54when they send in a donation and we are in our third year of producing World View Matters.
- 15:59And we're getting more donations and we thank you for that. It's fundraising season.
- 16:05World View Matters, David, thank you for blessing us with the truth. Thank you for doing the Lord's
- 16:10will and being a faithful servant. Freedom project, media and the entire staff are in our prayers daily.
- 16:17Please continue doing the great job you all have been called to do.
- 16:20Prayers and blessings to all and please keep speaking the truth in his name. And that is from
- 16:25Jeff and Karen. And then she says, PS, looking forward to using my stainless mug. What is she
- 16:32talking about? Well, that's one of these stainless steel tumblers. They're brand new. It's our way
- 16:37of just thanking you if you're able to give financially if we thank you for your prayers and we
- 16:42need all the prayers we can get to keep going. But if you're able to donate a gift of $200 or
- 16:48let's just say 25 a month, that's what a lot of people do. We'll send you one of these. It's
- 16:52just our way of saying thanks. And this man does this keep the coffee hot in the morning for a long
- 16:57time. It's got my tagline on it. Keep speaking the truth about things that matter. And of course,
- 17:02this side world view matters. I love it. And I think I got one of the first ones. But you can get
- 17:08yours. If you can donate, go out of the website worldviewmatters.tv. And like I said, first and foremost,
- 17:15thank you for praying and then for sharing, sharing, sharing the podcast. That's how it's getting
- 17:23out there, friends. It's not us. We don't have any nifty marketing people working for us with
- 17:27strategic campaigns, nothing like that. It's your sharing. So thank you. It's grassroots. Jonathan
- 17:35Brentner, in this article, you've got a picture of, I think it's the economist magazine that says
- 17:42the world ahead 2026. And it's a little creepy and scary. But this is what's happening. We've
- 17:48got to be aware. But you say in the article, some analysts say that the cover portrays 2026 is
- 17:57a time of three things, war, pestilence or epidemics, three financial collapse. Talk to us about
- 18:06your thoughts on any of these. It occurred to be that that's what will happen with the writers
- 18:12of the apocalypse and in revelation sex. It was tracking so much with revelation six versus one
- 18:20two eight because there we see wars, we see pestilence and epidemics,
- 18:25adversity, and we also see financial collapse. And all these things have been in a sense hanging
- 18:33over our heads, but it sent for several years. And it gets back to, it gets back to what we
- 18:41talked about in 2nd Thessalonians 2 because it's a restrainer that's holding these things back. In
- 18:48fact, I think we'd already be with Jesus and these things would already be overspread throughout
- 18:54the world if not for the restraining force of the Holy Spirit. People have been talking about
- 19:00financial collapse for many, many years, 12 years ago, I read a book about the impending
- 19:07financial disaster that was at hand. And the arguments were very good and valid, but it hasn't
- 19:14happened yet. And I attribute that to the restraining force of the Holy Spirit.
- 19:19Yeah, I think we're getting close to that. A lot of indicators and a lot of so-called experts,
- 19:24some of them might be authentic experts with knowledge and experience on this. And others are
- 19:29just, you know, prognosticating. But I want to talk about something else. Unless, so that was the
- 19:34financial aspect on a potential collapse. What about pestilence or epidemics? I mean, we went through
- 19:41COVID five years ago and was that an eye opener. I hope to a lot of people, especially the body of
- 19:47Christ. And not just what happens when fear is built up and the media just played on the fears of
- 19:55the people and the left used fear to gain more control. But not only that, Jonathan, that we,
- 20:02not we, some churches in the body of Christ in America sadly believed the lie that the church in
- 20:10America was non-essential. Really? The church, the gospel, Christians, non-essential. And but
- 20:20anyway, we, hopefully we learned our lesson, but what are your thoughts on pestilence or epidemics?
- 20:27I think that the, the globalists, the elite of our world are still planning to use that in the
- 20:33future. The spread, I read about these labs that are producing these, these viruses and epidemics.
- 20:45I don't know why they're experimenting with them. If there's one that's already out there and
- 20:51they need to come up with some kind of antidote, I could understand that, but not all the experimentation
- 20:58that's going on. I believe that they saw how well that COVID worked in controlling the people.
- 21:05And I believe that they will use it again at some point in the future. And I'm hoping that the
- 21:12rapture happens before that time, but we just don't know. So you also mentioned in the article
- 21:18after talking about these three things and these are huge, each one of them, huge categories
- 21:23of what might be happening and wars are already happening. But you say if these sound familiar,
- 21:30they are conditions we read about in Revelation 6, 1 through 8 after Jesus opens the first four
- 21:37seals, releasing the riders of the apocalypse. Talk to us a little bit about that.
- 21:43Yeah, we see those same things in those verses. We see the war, the financial devastation.
- 21:50And we also see that the pestilence is the widespread death. And I just thought it was so
- 21:56interesting to look at that cover and to realize that it's not just the Bible talking about those
- 22:02things coming, that it is also a secular magazine produced, I believe, in United Kingdom.
- 22:10Talking about these things as well, that's just really surprised me. And in a sense,
- 22:14blew me away. I said, wow, how close can we get? How much closer can we get to the end times?
- 22:22But yet, I know that there's that restraining force of the Holy Spirit that we've been talking about.
- 22:27But at some point, he's going to say enough is enough. And as another aspect of that too,
- 22:35I run across so many Christians that plan for their future as though nothing is going to interrupt it.
- 22:42And of course, we don't know the timing of Jesus appearing to take us home.
- 22:47But yet, we have to hold the future in our hands loosely. It's good to plan, we need to plan,
- 22:54we need to be wise and looking forward. We need to be good stewards of the resources that he's
- 22:59given to us. There's nothing wrong in sitting goals. But to talk is, though, you have all the time
- 23:06in the world and nothing is going to interrupt your plans, it's just, it's full hearty, I believe,
- 23:12considering what even secular magazines are telling us about the future, let alone what we read in
- 23:19the headlines every day on our new states. Yeah, we're close to a lot of things and even prophetic
- 23:26things. There's signs all around us. I think of Ephesians, I think it's 415, but don't quote me on
- 23:33that. No, 515, talking about redeeming the time. And I think Christians need to have a sense of
- 23:40urgency that I don't think we've had. And I've asked this question so often, Jonathan, what is it
- 23:46going to take the body of Christ in the West or at least in America to wake up? You know, we went
- 23:53through COVID, we've gone through all the kinds of big world events. We went through the assassination
- 23:57of Charlie Kirk a couple months ago. What is it going to take for Christians to wake up? Well,
- 24:03that's for another podcast. We've got three minutes left. You write about, you know, replacement
- 24:09theology, anti-Semitism. Why do you think these just off views on Bible prophecy are so popular,
- 24:18such as replacement theology? That is a really good question. I think that there's this aura of
- 24:27wanting something that's popular and so they are popular. It also, these things rely on human wisdom,
- 24:34just like narcissism back in the first and second century of the church. There was this pride
- 24:40in people knowing something that others did not know. And I'm not saying it is exactly the same,
- 24:45but there is that sense of something new. And it's so ironic because I point out in one of my articles
- 24:52that the NAR, the new apostolic reformation people, many of them criticized the rapture because
- 25:00no one believed in it until John Darby in the late 1800s and they say something that new can't
- 25:08possibly be true, but yet they encourage us to believe what they're saying because it is
- 25:14new. It's just insanely ironic that that is going on. And it's also, it also hinges on a lot of
- 25:22personal experiences. I mentioned in one of my articles, a lot of people, they have these experiences
- 25:29and they place experiences over the words of scripture. They have, they have this, well,
- 25:36even with the cults, you know, you have these people that have visions, experiences, they get
- 25:42divine revelation is going on. Today, people have these visions and, you know, God can speak to us,
- 25:50but it has to be in accordance with agreement with scripture. Yes. God's words, the authoritative
- 25:57words for all our faith and practice. And so you have all kinds of people have with these ideas.
- 26:04Now, you know, the pre-tribal age of rapture, I hope, and Jesus, seven and a period has been
- 26:10very encouraging and comforting to me over the year. I can cite many experiences,
- 26:16but it's not my experiences that I based by hope and Jesus, seven and a period is the words of
- 26:24scripture. And that's why I have such a passion to teach it and to explain scripture
- 26:29as to why I believe it is true. Thank you, brother. And thank you for talking about, you know,
- 26:35revelation and things like that. The canon is closed. There is no new revelation. God does speak
- 26:41today, but primarily he speaks through his word. And, you know, the Holy Spirit is alive and active,
- 26:47but on the word of God is alive and active, but friends, there is no new revelation. So be careful,
