2:36
Speaker 5: How you doing, man, I'm good. It feels like I
2:39
Speaker 5: was just here. You have an entirely different view of
2:43
Speaker 5: the building. Yeah, from another seat over I don't sit
2:46
Speaker 5: over here very often. It's kind of weird.
2:48
Speaker 3: It is weird. It's like, you know, in my house,
2:51
Speaker 3: my wife and I sit on the couch. When I
2:53
Speaker 3: sit on her side of the couch, Yeah, it's like,
2:55
Speaker 3: this is not right. You know, I need to be
2:57
Speaker 3: back on my side of the cach.
2:58
Speaker 5: It's almost like Sheldon Cooper's you're in my spot exactly. Well,
3:03
Speaker 5: your spot is in a high school football booth, it
3:05
Speaker 5: was last night. Talked about the game last night, Well.
3:06
Speaker 3: I tell you what.
3:07
Speaker 5: That freshman running back for George Washington is as good
3:10
Speaker 5: as advertised, Young Jacob Black. He he really took over
3:15
Speaker 5: the game. Cy Persinger was as good as advertised. Both
3:17
Speaker 5: of them had very good games for the Patriots last night.
3:21
Speaker 5: They got a They started slow, but picked up the
3:26
Speaker 5: momentum down the stretch and they kept just feeding Black
3:29
Speaker 5: and he just kept eating and he ended up with
3:32
Speaker 5: three touchdowns and he had more than one hundred yards
3:35
Speaker 5: of rushing. He really really shined in that opening night
3:38
Speaker 5: for GW. Spring Valley has a reasonably good team, but
3:44
Speaker 5: they got to learn to reign in the penalties. They
3:46
Speaker 5: killed themselves with penalties on many of their drives. So
3:48
Speaker 5: that was pretty much the story of that game last night.
3:51
Speaker 5: And now you look ahead to tonight's game. Tonight, we've
3:54
Speaker 5: got PoCA, which has a lot of young guys and
3:57
Speaker 5: they're on the road at Buffalo, Buffalo with an entirely
4:00
Speaker 5: new coaching staff and an entirely new coaching philosophy. Andy
4:04
Speaker 5: Anderson their head coach now, who was an assistant at
4:07
Speaker 5: George Washington for many years and he's there now, and
4:10
Speaker 5: he brought along Scott Tinsley, who's a well known name
4:13
Speaker 5: in football here in the Kanawh Valley and for many
4:16
Speaker 5: years as coached at various places. In his brand of
4:18
Speaker 5: offense is one that everybody sort of marvels at, So
4:21
Speaker 5: it'll be interesting to see how he implements those wrinkles
4:25
Speaker 5: of his offense into what they do at Buffalo, where,
4:29
Speaker 5: you know, because it's a small school, you're often limited
4:32
Speaker 5: in the number of players you have, so it'll be
4:34
Speaker 5: interesting interesting to see how they have developed that talent
4:37
Speaker 5: to mesh with Tinsley's system. To you and Aaron Parker
4:41
Speaker 5: on the call today, we are on the call tonight.
4:43
Speaker 5: All right, what's your Tennessee volunteers doing. They're in Atlanta
4:47
Speaker 5: playing Syracuse Battle of the Orange.
4:51
Speaker 6: Yeah.
4:51
Speaker 5: I saw a graphic the other day where they somebody
4:54
Speaker 5: had a computer generated picture of a Tennessee player wearing
4:59
Speaker 5: all orange, which they do from occasion occasionally, but this
5:02
Speaker 5: one also had an orange helmet, and somebody had suggested
5:05
Speaker 5: they need to wear that tomorrow to show them who
5:07
Speaker 5: the real orange men are. I frankly don't know what
5:10
Speaker 5: to expect. The quarterback was fired or walked off the job,
5:18
Speaker 5: or whatever you want to describe it over the off season,
5:21
Speaker 5: and it became an ugly national situation. They've picked up
5:24
Speaker 5: this guy who was at Appalachian State and from all accounts,
5:28
Speaker 5: was very good. But you know, there's a big difference
5:31
Speaker 5: between the sun Belt and the SEC as you're alma
5:34
Speaker 5: mater may learn tomorrow.
5:36
Speaker 3: Yeah, it is interesting because Dave Wilson's actually in the
5:39
Speaker 3: building here today. Because Wilson, you know, has been all
5:42
Speaker 3: over he did high school FOOTBA last time as the
5:44
Speaker 3: business I'm now he's flying down with the team because
5:47
Speaker 3: he's part of the broadcast team there for Marshall. So
5:49
Speaker 3: we got two people in the building wearing Marshall green today, well,
5:52
Speaker 3: which is more than we normally.
5:54
Speaker 5: Usually it's just me that's unusual. Yeah, I wore my
5:57
Speaker 5: Tennessee orange today. I always wear it on the college
6:00
Speaker 5: color Saturday or by Friday.
6:02
Speaker 3: I got you, I got you all right real quick
6:03
Speaker 3: before we let you go. Know, you've got stuff to
6:05
Speaker 3: do on the Outdoor Show tomorrow. What you got, Oh,
6:08
Speaker 3: let's see.
6:09
Speaker 5: I took a fishing trip last Sunday with my daughter
6:12
Speaker 5: down New River, so I got a couple of segments
6:14
Speaker 5: with Larry Nybert or the West Virginia Experience, just talking
6:18
Speaker 5: about it's been a phenomenal fishing year on the New
6:21
Speaker 5: River for float trips and we caught in excess of
6:26
Speaker 5: fifty to seventy five fish. None of them were gigantic,
6:29
Speaker 5: which is kind of how it is this time of year.
6:32
Speaker 5: But they have been at times catching really big fish
6:34
Speaker 5: through the summer and that's really unusual. So it's been
6:37
Speaker 5: a great year for fishing on the New River. We'll
6:39
Speaker 5: talk about that also Monday of the first hunting seasons
6:42
Speaker 5: of the fall, as the early Canada goose season opens up,
6:45
Speaker 5: as well as the dove season, so we'll talk to
6:48
Speaker 5: Mike Peters about that and next is it next weekend?
6:54
Speaker 5: I have to two weekends they will begin two weekends
6:57
Speaker 5: from now they begin the elk tours down at Chief
6:59
Speaker 5: Logan State Park on the Tomlin Wildlife Management Area. Those
7:03
Speaker 5: book up fast, so we'll talk tomorrow to Deputy Superintendent
7:06
Speaker 5: of parks, about getting yourself in on that. Get your
7:10
Speaker 5: reservations made and go down and spend the weekend in
7:12
Speaker 5: Logan County and.
7:14
Speaker 3: Check out the elk. And I'll tell you when they
7:15
Speaker 3: first started down he got jerichos. While you're there, Yeah,
7:18
Speaker 3: while you're there, and you had to take in all
7:19
Speaker 3: of the fine eateries there.
7:21
Speaker 6: You know.
7:21
Speaker 3: One of the things about that, and I'll let you
7:22
Speaker 3: go is when that was first talked about, people in
7:27
Speaker 3: Logan said, nobody's going to come to see these elk.
7:31
Speaker 3: I mean, who cared? They were wrong? Yeah, they were wrong,
7:34
Speaker 3: but most people go from all over.
7:36
Speaker 5: To his credit, Governor Earl Ray Tomlin realized that and
7:39
Speaker 5: he was the one that ultimately that were you know,
7:44
Speaker 5: movers and shakers they said get this. He said get
7:46
Speaker 5: this done. Yeah, because he looked at what Kentucky had
7:49
Speaker 5: seen in that and this is not hunting, this is
7:51
Speaker 5: just looking at Yeah, it's just the eco tourism that
7:54
Speaker 5: Kentucky got out of it. Now Kentucky went about it
7:57
Speaker 5: in a far different way. Kentucky was sort of a
7:58
Speaker 5: pioneer and reintroduced the elk. They introduced ten thousand on
8:03
Speaker 5: day one, and of course they have a substantial population
8:07
Speaker 5: now West Virginia. By the time they got around to
8:09
Speaker 5: doing it and convincing everybody to do it and get
8:12
Speaker 5: on board with it, things had changed as far as
8:15
Speaker 5: the ideas of moving elk in any servid because of
8:18
Speaker 5: the disease concerns. So they wound up introducing instead of
8:22
Speaker 5: ten thousand, which was their plan too, they introduced like
8:26
Speaker 5: eighteen because that's all they could get at the time,
8:29
Speaker 5: but they wanted to get it started. And so it's
8:31
Speaker 5: been a slow progression for West Virginia's elk herd, but
8:35
Speaker 5: they're up to a point now where they probably can't
8:38
Speaker 5: count them. They probably got between one hundred and two
8:41
Speaker 5: hundred something like that, and they don't necessarily they track
8:44
Speaker 5: a lot of them, but I don't think they can
8:45
Speaker 5: track them all now. You know, occasionally they'll have one
8:47
Speaker 5: wander through that's not tagged. So it's interesting to see
8:53
Speaker 5: how it grows. It's just a lot slower than what
8:55
Speaker 5: happened in Kentucky.
8:56
Speaker 3: All right, have a good broadcast tonight. We'll be listening
8:58
Speaker 3: to the show tomorrow morning. Thanks on. I appreciate that.
9:00
Speaker 3: We'll talk to you Chris Lawrence again. It it's nine sixteen.
9:04
Speaker 3: Let's bring an Angie Gillenwater Now from the Canal Charleston,
9:06
Speaker 3: New Maine Association with this week's Adopt Me Please Pet
9:09
Speaker 3: of the Week. Angie, Good morning, Welcome to the show.
9:12
Speaker 6: Good morning.
9:14
Speaker 3: How's it going with you? You ready for the long weekend?
9:17
Speaker 6: I am. I have to work tomorrow, so my weekend
9:21
Speaker 6: is not quite as well. I gotch, but I am
9:23
Speaker 6: looking forward to it.
9:24
Speaker 3: I gotcha. I'll be working Sunday, so I completely understand,
9:28
Speaker 3: all right. So, as always, our pets picture is posted
9:31
Speaker 3: Dave Allen Radio on Facebook and at Dave seventy n
9:35
Speaker 3: X also on the WCCHS Network Facebook page. Big Debra
9:39
Speaker 3: is our dog this week. Tell us about Big Debra.
9:42
Speaker 6: So, Big Debra's currently my favorite shelter dog that we
9:46
Speaker 6: have right now. She's if you look at her picture,
9:49
Speaker 6: she's all white and then just has like a little
9:51
Speaker 6: black and tan face mask. She's about sixty ish pounds
9:55
Speaker 6: hints her name. But she's great with other dogs, loves
9:59
Speaker 6: to play with other dogs, and has shown to do
10:01
Speaker 6: well with kids as far as we can tell. And
10:06
Speaker 6: she is part of the pick your price adoption special
10:08
Speaker 6: we have going on right now. Which is exactly what
10:10
Speaker 6: it sounds like. You will tell us what you want
10:13
Speaker 6: to pay for a dog or.
10:14
Speaker 3: A puppy, and this is one of the more popular
10:18
Speaker 3: things that you guys do up there. And how is
10:21
Speaker 3: that possible in to pick your price? Do you have
10:23
Speaker 3: sponsors or how does that work? Or are you just
10:26
Speaker 3: trying to move some animals out?
10:28
Speaker 6: Yeah, so we are at once again, not to sound
10:32
Speaker 6: like a broken record, but we're at critical capacity for
10:35
Speaker 6: dogs and puppies, which is why the cats are setting
10:37
Speaker 6: this adoption special out. I got you, so that we're
10:40
Speaker 6: pretty comfortable in facing for cats, but dogs and puppies
10:44
Speaker 6: we don't really have anywhere to put them anymore. And
10:48
Speaker 6: yesterday morning somebody had dropped five puppies in her parking lot,
10:51
Speaker 6: so we were we had to act fast and include
10:54
Speaker 6: puppies in this special to make room for those new guys.
10:58
Speaker 6: But you would think, you know, everyone comes up there
11:00
Speaker 6: and it's like I want to pay fifty cents for
11:02
Speaker 6: a dog, but we actually average about thirty dollars per
11:05
Speaker 6: adoption when people want to pick their price, so we're
11:08
Speaker 6: still generating adoption revenue. We're not just giving dogs away.
11:14
Speaker 3: Yeah, I got you.
11:15
Speaker 6: Yeah, so it actually ends up being a pretty successful
11:18
Speaker 6: event in one of the more popular ones we do.
11:20
Speaker 3: You know, Angie, I hate to bring up stories like this,
11:23
Speaker 3: but sometimes we have to. You may have seen this
11:24
Speaker 3: in the news, a story from Saint Albans where a
11:26
Speaker 3: man has been charged with animal cruelty for severely abusing
11:30
Speaker 3: a kitten. I'll spare you all the details of this
11:33
Speaker 3: piece of crap human, but you can read about it
11:35
Speaker 3: on the Saint Albans Police Department's Facebook page. And we
11:38
Speaker 3: actually had a text to the show somebody wanted to know,
11:40
Speaker 3: what can you tell us about the kittens.
11:43
Speaker 6: I can't share too many details, but what I can
11:46
Speaker 6: say is he is at KHA and he has been stabilized.
11:51
Speaker 6: That was a situation that brought a lot of our
11:54
Speaker 6: team to tears. It was very upsetting to see. But
11:58
Speaker 6: right now, the news humane officer for Saint Albans is
12:02
Speaker 6: actually an ex KHA employee, so we're very very proud
12:06
Speaker 6: of her and the work she's doing for Saint Albans already.
12:09
Speaker 6: But yet the kitten is with us, He stabilized and
12:12
Speaker 6: is expected to make a full recovery with slight, non
12:17
Speaker 6: life threatening complications.
12:18
Speaker 3: Yeah, and that's a story. I read it. I think
12:21
Speaker 3: you shared it on your personal page, I think, and
12:23
Speaker 3: then I think it's where I saw it first, and
12:25
Speaker 3: it is on the Saint albans Uh. I think it
12:28
Speaker 3: was their police department's Facebook page. Just the horrible story.
12:31
Speaker 3: And again we're going to share. We're going to spare
12:33
Speaker 3: the people of the details on that, but glad to
12:35
Speaker 3: know that the kitten is has survived. What do you
12:38
Speaker 3: need of up there as far as donations go, uh.
12:41
Speaker 6: So, some big knees right now actually are volunteers where
12:45
Speaker 6: we have so many dogs that need to go out
12:48
Speaker 6: or you know, so many dogs in our care that
12:50
Speaker 6: need that one on one attention. Our animal care team
12:53
Speaker 6: actually said one of the biggest needs besides the usual
12:56
Speaker 6: of you know, Purina chowel products and what and sorry
13:00
Speaker 6: wet dog food. Besides those typical needs, volunteers are a
13:05
Speaker 6: big one. Just an extra set of hands that help
13:07
Speaker 6: us clean or give these animals the one on one
13:09
Speaker 6: attention they deserve.
13:10
Speaker 3: You guys out anywhere this Labor Day weekend. Know you
13:12
Speaker 3: said you got to work, you have any public events,
13:15
Speaker 3: We are.
13:16
Speaker 6: Not the only one we had this week. You was
13:18
Speaker 6: actually yesterday at Bridge Valley and it was actually an
13:22
Speaker 6: incredibly successful event. I went there with seven animals and
13:25
Speaker 6: five got.
13:26
Speaker 3: Adopted, so that was That's awesome. Big shout out to
13:29
Speaker 3: doctor Saxon to post folks up their Bridge Valley. Hey,
13:32
Speaker 3: on the kitten, somebody texted wanted to know how do
13:34
Speaker 3: we have any idea how old that kitten was?
13:38
Speaker 6: So the guest is about six to eight months old.
13:42
Speaker 6: It's an older kitten, but definitely not an adult cat.
13:45
Speaker 3: All right, Hey, Angie, I appreciate you taking time out
13:48
Speaker 3: of your schedule. Sorry you got to work tomorrow, but enjoy
13:49
Speaker 3: as much of the holiday weekend as you can.
13:51
Speaker 6: Okay, absolutely, you two.
13:53
Speaker 3: All right? Angie gillen Water from the Charleston You Main
13:56

Speaker 10: boosters for their support this season. Trojan Landing Marine and
15:44
Speaker 10: Power Sports, Edward Jones, Gret Harper, Family Care, Health Centers,
15:48
Speaker 10: and the Canall County Public Library.
16:04
Speaker 3: Welcome back to the show. It's nine twenty three. Jim
16:06
Speaker 3: Strawn coming up a little bit later on the show. Also,
16:08
Speaker 3: Jenny Murray from V one hundred is gonna be stomped
16:10
Speaker 3: by as well Dave Aland showing five and E line.
16:12
Speaker 3: Brought to you apart by Live Healthy West Virginia presented
16:14
Speaker 3: by WVU Medicine. It's a podcast promoting healthier lifestyles than
16:18
Speaker 3: to be on the State. Jack have a latest episodes
16:20
Speaker 3: wv metronews dot com under the podcast Men, You're gonna
16:23
Speaker 3: bring in Daniel Woods here to talk a little West
16:25
Speaker 3: Virginia State football. As we begin our coverage on that,
16:28
Speaker 3: but I had a text here I wanted to read
16:29
Speaker 3: Sex and Dave. How about the Michael Parsons trade. I'm
16:32
Speaker 3: not upset about it. Parsons wasn't gonna make or break
16:34
Speaker 3: their super Bowl chances anyway. Remember during the playoff game
16:37
Speaker 3: versus the Packers a few years ago, the Packers rookie
16:40
Speaker 3: quarterback walked off over Parsons and he had the one
16:43
Speaker 3: thousand yard stare of defeats. Then we saw the same
16:45
Speaker 3: performance during big games the following season, not a loss.
16:48
Speaker 3: The person they need to get right up next to
16:50
Speaker 3: Jerry Jones, Well that's not gonna happen. I don't disagree
16:53
Speaker 3: with the Texter at all, but when Jerry Jones goes away,
16:57
Speaker 3: then it becomes Stephen Jones and Charlotte Anderson Jones. So
17:01
Speaker 3: it's gonna stay right where it is. I was not
17:04
Speaker 3: upset as a cowboy fan about the Michael Parsons trade.
17:06
Speaker 3: And I've said this before, Daniel, I may bring you
17:09
Speaker 3: in on this as well. Here's why. And I'm not
17:11
Speaker 3: going to turn into support show, I promise, but here's why.
17:13
Speaker 3: I wasn't upset about the Michael Parson trade. He's an
17:15
Speaker 3: incredible defensive player, one of the two or three best
17:17
Speaker 3: defensive players in the league. Absolutely, contract disputes happen all
17:22
Speaker 3: the time. I get that people hold out for more money,
17:24
Speaker 3: they say crap about the ownership whatever. When he took
17:27
Speaker 3: a crap on his team, which is what he did
17:30
Speaker 3: by saying when they thought he was going to go
17:32
Speaker 3: to Detroit, at one point he made the comment, I
17:35
Speaker 3: want to go where I'm surrounded by winners. Okay, that's
17:39
Speaker 3: that's a big blank you to the team. Out you go.
17:44
Speaker 3: I agree.
17:45
Speaker 11: Don't divide the locker room, I think is the biggest
17:47
Speaker 11: thing you're asking for in a situation like that. I'm
17:49
Speaker 11: a Pittsburgh Steelers fan, born and raised. In the last
17:52
Speaker 11: couple of years, great defensive players Cam Heyward TJ. Watt
17:55
Speaker 11: have both been in contract disputes with the franchise. The
17:58
Speaker 11: reason they get welcomed back is because they don't take
18:01
Speaker 11: that step. Yeah in the meantime, So not the.
18:03
Speaker 3: Fault of your teammate. He's not the one with the
18:05
Speaker 3: check book to get the you know you're you know
18:07
Speaker 3: you're a defensive player. The poor kicker didn't do anything,
18:10
Speaker 3: do you He wants you to get paid.
18:11
Speaker 11: Too right exactly, and he got paid. He's gonna be
18:14
Speaker 11: the highest paid non quarterback in the history of professional football.
18:17
Speaker 11: So I don't necessarily understand the need to take that
18:22
Speaker 11: step and use that as bargaining because I don't think
18:23
Speaker 11: it helps anybody.
18:24
Speaker 3: And we got we get two first round draft picks
18:26
Speaker 3: out of that. So I'm not gonna say it's going
18:28
Speaker 3: to be the Herschel Walker deal of the nineteen eighties
18:31
Speaker 3: that led us to a Super Bowl. But I'm just
18:32
Speaker 3: saying I'm one hundred percent for it. All right, West
18:35
Speaker 3: Virginia State Football, it's back. We've carried it in the past.
18:38
Speaker 3: It's back. On one of seven three the beat talk
18:39
Speaker 3: about we're really excited.
18:41
Speaker 11: We're going to Carson Newman actually pulling out here in
18:44
Speaker 11: about three hours. We will. We will load the buses
18:47
Speaker 11: up in Institute and head for East Tennessee, opening up
18:50
Speaker 11: the season against a really, really good team in Carson
18:53
Speaker 11: Newman that made the D two playoffs last year. But
18:56
Speaker 11: John Pennington's back for year nine as the head coach
18:58
Speaker 11: at West Virginia State. He's now the winningest coach in
19:01
Speaker 11: program history. UH, and the Yellow Jackets there's some excitement,
19:04
Speaker 11: you know, winning record last year six and five, right
19:06
Speaker 11: around the middle of the Mountain East Conference. Picked there again, Uh,
19:10
Speaker 11: but an opportunity to take some steps up in the
19:12
Speaker 11: standings this year wide open conference. To be completely honest,
19:16
Speaker 11: and there's a lot of talent on this roster, a
19:20
Speaker 11: lot of Division one transfers that have joined this team
19:22
Speaker 11: over the last calendar year. And the coaching staff's excited.
19:25
Speaker 11: I know I'm excited. Me and Tom Bragg are going
19:28
Speaker 11: to be on the airwaves on one oh seven three
19:30
Speaker 11: The Beat all season.
19:31
Speaker 3: And again it's uh, it's great partnership and it's something
19:34
Speaker 3: that we did in the past and you know it
19:36
Speaker 3: went way, but but it's back again. And to be
19:38
Speaker 3: able to have uh, there's such a and I'm actually
19:41
Speaker 3: compliments of President Cage. I'm drinking from my West Virginia
19:45
Speaker 3: State University coffee monk here. Appreciate that president on board
19:48
Speaker 3: with that, President Cage, I need one of those. Yeah,
19:50
Speaker 3: well all right, President Cage. And and mister Bailey, if
19:54
Speaker 3: you're listening out there, we need to get Daniel one
19:55
Speaker 3: of those.
19:55
Speaker 6: You need.
19:56
Speaker 3: You need some gear. But there's such a following, such
19:58
Speaker 3: a loyalty to some I mean not just West Region State.
20:02
Speaker 3: I mean, you see what you see you see with
20:03
Speaker 3: the other schools that you've covered in the NC. It's
20:06
Speaker 3: an exciting brand.
20:07
Speaker 11: Of football, absolutely, And I think one thing that I've
20:11
Speaker 11: said to a lot of people the last couple of
20:12
Speaker 11: years is with Division I football and high level power
20:16
Speaker 11: conference football, there are people that are more traditional college
20:19
Speaker 11: sports fans that are getting soured on what it's become
20:22
Speaker 11: with NIL and pay for play and revenue sharing now
20:25
Speaker 11: with the House settlement, If you want a more pure
20:30
Speaker 11: version of what you think college athletics is supposed to be,
20:33
Speaker 11: that's what your local Division two program is. I'm coming
20:37
Speaker 11: to Charleston in the last month from Martinsburg, where we
20:41
Speaker 11: covered Shepherd University really closely and they had a really
20:44
Speaker 11: loyal following. I'm seeing the same thing here with West
20:47
Speaker 11: Virginia State, and it's something that i really love to get.
20:50
Speaker 3: On board with.
20:51
Speaker 11: Because what I've always talked about is the reason that
20:54
Speaker 11: I have wanted to work in college sports on the
20:55
Speaker 11: broadcasting side, is there is just something very special about
21:02
Speaker 11: the connection between a community and its team, and college
21:06
Speaker 11: sports is I think where you find that the most
21:09
Speaker 11: in the United States.
21:10
Speaker 3: And of course you have so many players on that level,
21:13
Speaker 3: Daniel that are actually from I mean generally speaking, are
21:17
Speaker 3: from the state of West Virginia.
21:19
Speaker 11: You're right, and there's guys all over the state roster
21:22
Speaker 11: that that would be recognizable names two people coming from
21:28
Speaker 11: around the area. And that goes across the entire remec's.
21:31
Speaker 11: It's predominantly schools in the state of West Virginia. And
21:34
Speaker 11: I was just talking about on the sports this morning
21:37
Speaker 11: in the morning News. You see actually opened up last
21:39
Speaker 11: night blew out Livingston and their starting quarterback is Ian
21:43
Speaker 11: Hamrick from Gilmour County and he threw five touchdowns last night.
21:46
Speaker 11: Ie and and Fairmont State last night beat Seaton Hill
21:50
Speaker 11: Leonard Farrow from Oak Hill two hundred and seventy five
21:52
Speaker 11: rushing yards. I mean, these are local kids getting opportunities
21:55
Speaker 11: and really blowing them out.
21:56
Speaker 3: Of the water. I love it. I'm talking to Daniel
21:58
Speaker 3: Wood's Dave Allen Show and five any live percent imparted
22:00
Speaker 3: by Generations Physical Therapy nine practices all offered extended hour
22:03
Speaker 3: So access to physical therapy has never been easier. Three
22:06
Speaker 3: zero four seven, six zero fifty six sixtyear. Visit generationspt
22:10
Speaker 3: dot com. Who are some of the names we need
22:12
Speaker 3: to look at here on the State roster.
22:14
Speaker 11: I think to start, everybody wants to start at the
22:16
Speaker 11: quarterback position. And you've got a new quarterback we're expecting
22:19
Speaker 11: to see tomorrow for State. That's a transfer from Division
22:23
Speaker 11: one from Charleston Southern, Caleb Jackson, true dual threat guy,
22:26
Speaker 11: going to fit really well into the offense that John
22:29
Speaker 11: Pennington and his new offensive coordinator Matt Cavallero, who's a
22:31
Speaker 11: former WVU quarterback, are going to be implementing this year.
22:35
Speaker 11: Those are the that's really where you start as a
22:37
Speaker 11: quarterback position, but running back is going to be very
22:40
Speaker 11: important on this team. With Justin Posoa, he's back as
22:44
Speaker 11: an All conference guy. Last year, you lose Joel Felder,
22:47
Speaker 11: who's one of the best players in program history. He
22:49
Speaker 11: transferred at the end of last season, but you replace
22:51
Speaker 11: him with another all conference running back in Justin Posoa.
22:54
Speaker 11: And then on the defensive side of the ball, one returner,
22:57
Speaker 11: one transfer Marshaun Mankins at linebacker. Everybody's really excited to
23:01
Speaker 11: get him back. He was hurt last year after just
23:03
Speaker 11: a couple of games. And then at free safety, remember
23:06
Speaker 11: the name Jacob Camacho. That is a guy that's just
23:10
Speaker 11: a cool name. It's just an awesome name. But Jacob
23:13
Speaker 11: Camacho is a guy that has been brought up to
23:15
Speaker 11: me a couple of times as somebody that they really
23:18
Speaker 11: look at that could be one of the best defensive
23:20
Speaker 11: backs in the Mountain East Conference. He started his college
23:23
Speaker 11: career in the junior college ranks in Iowa, was at
23:25
Speaker 11: Florida International last year as an FBS guy, and now
23:30
Speaker 11: is at West Virginia State. They're really excited about him.
23:33
Speaker 3: All right. What time's coverage start tomorrow? Coverge starts eleven
23:36
Speaker 3: forty five, kickof at noon, all right, And on the
23:38
Speaker 3: road there in the land of Chris Lawrence down there
23:41
Speaker 3: in East Tennessee, we're looking forward to it, all right,
23:43
Speaker 3: give me your early call on the Mountaineers tomor I
23:45
Speaker 3: mean it should be an easy victory. Well, what do
23:48
Speaker 3: you expect to see? I know you'll be keeping an
23:49
Speaker 3: eye on it, even though you're doing a game, You'll
23:51
Speaker 3: be keep an eye on what's going on with your
23:53
Speaker 3: beloved West Virginia Mountaineers.
23:54
Speaker 11: What do you think I'm looking at questions to be
23:57
Speaker 11: answered more about who spends more time on the field
24:00
Speaker 11: than anything other than that, because I mean, you're a
24:03
Speaker 11: near forty point favorite. I mean, there's really no question
24:05
Speaker 11: unless something goes horribly awry, what the result is going
24:08
Speaker 11: to be for WVU quarterback obviously is where everybody wants
24:12
Speaker 11: to look. Because you had five guys on the depth chart,
24:14
Speaker 11: all listed with oars this week. Tony Creedy said in
24:17
Speaker 11: the Morning News this morning he's expecting Nico Mark You'll
24:20
Speaker 11: to be the first guy out there. My question is
24:22
Speaker 11: how many guys do you see? How many guys play
24:24
Speaker 11: meaningful snaps? And then I want to see this defense
24:28
Speaker 11: do something because it was very bad last year in
24:31
Speaker 11: Neil Brown's last season. You've got a very well respected
24:34
Speaker 11: defensive coordinator in Zach Ally that does a lot of
24:37
Speaker 11: things that I think are going to excite Mountaineer fans
24:39
Speaker 11: of the defensive side of the ball. Problem is, you've
24:41
Speaker 11: got eleven new starters, and I think that's where you're
24:44
Speaker 11: gonna probably try to see the most questions answered tomorrow.
24:47
Speaker 3: You know, you could take the mount and Ear quarterback
24:50
Speaker 3: room and the Cleveland Brown quarterback room, put them together
24:52
Speaker 3: and have a team that's fair.
24:54
Speaker 11: Yeah, that's a great point, and I'll say this, you
24:56
Speaker 11: got Marshall tomorrow against Georgia too. Rich Rodriguez his he's
25:00
Speaker 11: not afraid to play all of his quarterbacks. Tony Gibson
25:03
Speaker 11: said he's not afraid to play all of his quarterbacks.
25:06
Speaker 11: There's a chance between the two Division one programs in
25:09
Speaker 11: this state, we could see eight.
25:10
Speaker 3: Quarterbacks play tomorrow because there's five guys.
25:13
Speaker 4: In the competition.
25:13
Speaker 3: Just hoping that for Marshall, I'm just hoping that it's
25:16
Speaker 3: that it's something that Gibbie wants to do and not
25:18
Speaker 3: that he has to do because it's like a mass
25:20
Speaker 3: unit out there. That's a fair please. That's what I'm
25:22
Speaker 3: hoping for tomorrow. And I mentioned earlier. You know, Dave
25:24
Speaker 3: Wilson is in the building today. Wilson is going to
25:26
Speaker 3: be doing talk line from here. He's he's setting down
25:29
Speaker 3: to the Marshall Georgia game. He'll be on the on
25:31
Speaker 3: the plane because he does the pregame show down there.
25:34
Speaker 3: So we've doubled the number of people with Marshall gear
25:37
Speaker 3: in the building today because I saw Wilson coming in
25:39
Speaker 3: with his his Marshall polo and his Marshall baseball cap.
25:43
Speaker 3: So there's two of us in the building today sporting
25:45
Speaker 3: Marshall's I saw its start.
25:47
Speaker 11: Have you had any conversations with him about the travel
25:49
Speaker 11: he does for these Marshall trips because he does Morgantown
25:51
Speaker 11: High on Fridays.
25:52
Speaker 3: Yeah, well, I mean, let me tell you something about it.
25:53
Speaker 3: And I would never compliment Dave Wilson to his face ever, Okay,
25:57
Speaker 3: but I will say this, Okay, he did. He and
26:00
Speaker 3: TJ were at the business summit, so they're they're in
26:03
Speaker 3: Greenborough County. He hauls it back to Morgantown to do
26:07
Speaker 3: the ball game last night, drives down and spent to
26:10
Speaker 3: I think he said he spent the night at his
26:11
Speaker 3: parents house. And then he drives down this morning to
26:15
Speaker 3: do talk line from here. Then he drives to Tri State,
26:18
Speaker 3: gets on the plane to fly down to Georgia for
26:22
Speaker 3: the Marshall In Bulldogs game, and then he'll will arrive
26:25
Speaker 3: back at Tri State about ten thirty last night, and
26:28
Speaker 3: then he'll be back at work on Monday. Incredible. Uh.
26:30
Speaker 3: You know, I never compliment the guy to his face ever,
26:33
Speaker 3: but I will say this. He's a He's a hell
26:35
Speaker 3: of a man. He really is.
26:37
Speaker 11: I did a Morgantown Martinsburg game last year at Morgantown.
26:41
Speaker 11: I was talking about ah, yeah, I gotta get up
26:43
Speaker 11: drive or I got to drive back to Martinsburg tonight
26:45
Speaker 11: do the Shepherd game tomorrow. He looks at me, goes, yeah,
26:48
Speaker 11: I'm getting out of here, gonna do my hit on
26:50
Speaker 11: game night, drive to Charleston, getting Mark Martin's car, drive
26:53
Speaker 11: to North Carolina. Then we're getting up at six tomorrow
26:56
Speaker 11: and driving the rest of the way in Georgia Southern.
26:58
Speaker 11: And I felt pretty bad about myself after that.
27:00
Speaker 3: We had a quick text here it says, never ending drama,
27:02
Speaker 3: disgusting attitudes, and just the long gone love of the
27:06
Speaker 3: game by multimillionaire narcissist is exactly why I'll never be
27:09
Speaker 3: a pro sports fan. College ball is where it's at.
27:14
Speaker 3: I don't disagree with that statement, however, college is getting
27:18
Speaker 3: just about that. I mean, you know, which is all
27:20
Speaker 3: the more reason why you should follow these schools in
27:22
Speaker 3: West Virginia, Memec.
27:23
Speaker 11: That's why I encourage you to follow your local Division
27:25
Speaker 11: two program. And here in the Great Canaw Valley, you've
27:29
Speaker 11: got West Virginia State, You've got uc You can hear
27:31
Speaker 11: West Virginia staten on one of seven through the beat.
27:33
Speaker 3: So just you start there, all right, Daniel appreciate it, man,
27:35
Speaker 3: have a great broadcast, have a safe trip down there. Okay,
27:37
Speaker 3: thank you, and we'll be listening tomorrow again as our
27:39
Speaker 3: coverage of West Virginia State football begins on the beat.
27:43
Speaker 3: Coming up tomorrow, we have these games all season. Fordave

31:35
Speaker 3: We'll get that story from Jenny coming up a little
31:38
Speaker 3: bit later on. I'm gonna bring in somebody. I think
31:40
Speaker 3: the first time you've been on the show, is it not, Sir, DJJ?
31:42
Speaker 3: How you doing? I'm doing good, Dave?
31:44
Speaker 6: How a you doing?
31:44
Speaker 20: This is my first time being on the show.
31:46
Speaker 3: Okay, all right, Well we'll try to be real gentle
31:47
Speaker 3: with you. You got Jim Strawn here with you. And Strawn
31:50
Speaker 3: is not wearing pants, which is okay. He's Jim Strawn.
31:53
Speaker 3: He can do what he wants.
31:54
Speaker 17: I will not wear pants until October first, is just
31:57
Speaker 17: the thing.
31:57
Speaker 3: Okay, all right, No, just pants October first. Care for him?
32:01
Speaker 3: I'm with me actually on that mostly. Yeah, but I
32:04
Speaker 3: got I got legs that need to be covered. I'm
32:06
Speaker 3: not gonna lie to you. So, I mean they the
32:08
Speaker 3: more I like colder weather because the more I'm covered,
32:12
Speaker 3: the more attractive I am. So if you would read
32:15
Speaker 3: into that one, yeah, I like that more of me
32:17
Speaker 3: that can't be said to shoot look a little sharper
32:20
Speaker 3: in the winter. Yeah, there you go, because more of
32:22
Speaker 3: me's covered. All right, DJJ? What's the Spartan thing? Man?
32:26
Speaker 3: Tell us about them?
32:27
Speaker 20: So the Spartan Race World trifecta is going to be
32:29
Speaker 20: going down in Glenn Jean at the Summit Bechtel Reserve.
32:34
Speaker 20: We're familiar with that area over in the Fayetteville area
32:37
Speaker 20: and Charleston. West Virginia has been awarded the opportunity to
32:41
Speaker 20: host the twenty twenty five West Virginia Spartan Trifecta World
32:45
Speaker 20: Championship opening ceremony. I know it's a lot to say,
32:48
Speaker 20: it's a mouthful, but we have the opening ceremony that's
32:51
Speaker 20: going to be happening at Hadad Riverfront Park. The whole
32:54
Speaker 20: Spartan team is going to be hanging out with us
32:56
Speaker 20: on that Thursday, September fourth, and so we're here to
32:59
Speaker 20: talk about that and invite our community down, our friends
33:01
Speaker 20: down to come hang out and enjoy all things Spartan Race. Now,
33:04
Speaker 20: explain Spartan Race, Well, what exactly is it? So there
33:08
Speaker 20: are multiple layers to the Spartan Race. It was actually
33:11
Speaker 20: founded in twenty ten in the mountains of Vermont and
33:14
Speaker 20: it has evolved into many other grueling, challenging but also fun,
33:19
Speaker 20: encouraging races to challenge athletes of all levels. They even
33:23
Speaker 20: have a kid's race, they have family races, and then
33:25
Speaker 20: they have like tough mutter. They have races that are
33:28
Speaker 20: even way more challenging with rope climbs, swimming and you
33:32
Speaker 20: have to It's really like a marathon triathlon, but with
33:37
Speaker 20: a lot more grueling activities to get through the whole
33:41
Speaker 20: ten k, five k, twenty five k's. It's a very
33:44
Speaker 20: very challenging endurance race.
33:47
Speaker 3: Anytime I hear about these types of events like this
33:50
Speaker 3: and there's so many different things going on, I'm thinking,
33:53
Speaker 3: I'm doing good to walk down the steps from my
33:55
Speaker 3: office and not spill my coffee. Okay, how do these guys?
33:59
Speaker 3: Is just something? Now, have you ever taken a part
34:01
Speaker 3: in anything like this yourself?
34:02
Speaker 20: I never have, but I've watched videos of it and
34:04
Speaker 20: knew what it was even prior and already made the
34:06
Speaker 20: decision that this is not for me. But the fact
34:10
Speaker 20: that we're having it here at Summitt Bechtel is a
34:12
Speaker 20: beautiful thing because it's really designed. The course is designed
34:16
Speaker 20: to have all these different obstacles for these world class athletes.
34:19
Speaker 20: People actually train seriously to compete in this, and then
34:23
Speaker 20: people like me can go out and you can go
34:25
Speaker 20: out and just sign up and have fun, have a
34:27
Speaker 20: good time, and you know, essentially play on these obstacles.
34:31
Speaker 20: So I was watching videos of this and kind of
34:33
Speaker 20: seeing how it gets started and some of the things
34:36
Speaker 20: that these athletes do. They even offer training programs on
34:40
Speaker 20: Spartan dot com. I encourage you to go check that
34:42
Speaker 20: out some nutrition and program training to help you get
34:46
Speaker 20: ready for these kind of races as well.
34:48
Speaker 3: I mean, I would think that I can't even begin
34:51
Speaker 3: to think what the training would be like for an
34:53
Speaker 3: event like this and what the nutrition has to go in.
34:55
Speaker 20: I mean, it's insane, yep, yep. And when you look
34:58
Speaker 20: at some of these races, they're not like a twenty
35:00
Speaker 20: a race. They're way longer, they're way more intent. So
35:03
Speaker 20: these athletes are are really high level.
35:06
Speaker 3: And it's a big deal for West Virginia to be
35:08
Speaker 3: able to have this thing, and even bigger deal for
35:10
Speaker 3: Charleston to be involved in the In the kickoff celebrations
35:13
Speaker 3: for it, talk about how that all came about for
35:16
Speaker 3: Charleston just going to that yep.
35:18
Speaker 20: So Tim Brady and our Charleston Visitors Bureau team has
35:22
Speaker 20: done a phenomenal job at collaborating with myself and also
35:26
Speaker 20: our audio and visual production team. We really want this
35:30
Speaker 20: to look and feel almost like an Olympic opening ceremony.
35:34
Speaker 20: You know, you see on TV all the excitement, all
35:37
Speaker 20: the music, all the MC's, all of the engagement with
35:40
Speaker 20: the crowd, because this is a huge celebration. So as
35:43
Speaker 20: we're looking at where do these races take place, there's
35:47
Speaker 20: for Wayne, Indiana, There's Austin, Texas, There's places all over
35:50
Speaker 20: the world. Again, and so this trifecta championship, this opening ceremony.
35:55
Speaker 20: Being able to host this in this city of Charleston,
35:57
Speaker 20: West Virginia, it's just such an honor and such an
36:00
Speaker 20: experience that we're designing with the team at the CVB,
36:03
Speaker 20: working with West Virginia Tourism as well, and just really
36:06
Speaker 20: spreading this word beyond the limits of the Charleston region.
36:10
Speaker 3: And I love the fact again because I'm a money guy,
36:13
Speaker 3: and I love the fact that it's and Brady and
36:16
Speaker 3: I talk about it all the time. It's heads and beds,
36:18
Speaker 3: and it's bringing to people that cover this. It's not
36:21
Speaker 3: just about the athletes themselves coming in, but the people.
36:23
Speaker 3: As you said, you talked about going on to watching
36:25
Speaker 3: the videos, Well, somebody has to make those videos. So
36:28
Speaker 3: people they're going to come with a whole lot of
36:29
Speaker 3: people with them. Absolutely.
36:31
Speaker 20: I was looking at some of the opening ceremony numbers
36:34
Speaker 20: as we were getting ready for next Thursday, and I've
36:37
Speaker 20: got over twenty five countries being represented right now that
36:40
Speaker 20: we're going to have at the opening ceremony, which includes
36:43
Speaker 20: the athletes, which includes who else, their families, family, some
36:46
Speaker 20: of their friends and supporters, journalists and journalists, heads and
36:49
Speaker 20: beds heads and beds man, and people going to restaurants
36:53
Speaker 20: and so on and so forth.
36:54
Speaker 3: It's really really a great thing for West Virginia to
36:56
Speaker 3: be able to have this, And hats off to for
36:59
Speaker 3: you guys, for you and Brady, you know, for getting
37:01
Speaker 3: this this thing to Charleston the Mayor's office of course,
37:03
Speaker 3: and also with Chelsea Ruby and folks and tourism as well,
37:07
Speaker 3: because this is a major deal for West Virginia to
37:09
Speaker 3: have this.
37:10
Speaker 20: It is it is when you look at the other
37:11
Speaker 20: cities that are having this as well, and you look
37:13
Speaker 20: at what we're doing with the bike race and these
37:15
Speaker 20: other national and international activities. We're having this ray here
37:19
Speaker 20: in our backyard. And speaking of international, there is also
37:23
Speaker 20: other layers of entertainment that's happening at the opening ceremony,
37:26
Speaker 20: so it's not just myself playing music. Which, by the way,
37:29
Speaker 20: this starts at five pm and it's gonna go until
37:31
Speaker 20: ten pm. But we know that most of the party
37:33
Speaker 20: is gonna get gone. We're gonna have the official Spartan
37:36
Speaker 20: team doing their m seeing hosting introductions. However, speaking of international,
37:41
Speaker 20: we have a DJ. He goes by the name of DJ.
37:44
Speaker 20: He goes by the name of Trays. He's more than
37:46
Speaker 20: a DJ, he's a producer. He's a music songwriter. He's highly,
37:51
Speaker 20: highly talented, one of the top DJs in the world.
37:53
Speaker 20: We're bringing him here to Charleston for a very special
37:57
Speaker 20: performance after the opening Sarah mony kicks off. Then we
38:01
Speaker 20: just really started the party. So this DJ, this producer again,
38:04
Speaker 20: he's by way of New Mexico tours all over the world,
38:08
Speaker 20: has way more experience in festivals, concerts and these scale
38:12
Speaker 20: of events, and we thought, hey, the only way to
38:15
Speaker 20: do this right and make the entertainment as high level
38:17
Speaker 20: as we want to present is to bring in a
38:19
Speaker 20: DJ of this caliber and have this global sound fused
38:24
Speaker 20: with the Appalachian experience.
38:25
Speaker 3: But I mean, and having you there too, I mean,
38:28
Speaker 3: you're you're you're not exactly, you know, small potatoes either.
38:31
Speaker 3: I mean you're kind of you're a big deal, you know,
38:33
Speaker 3: around around here at another area too, So it's great
38:35
Speaker 3: to have you involved with it as well. Thanks Today.

39:53
Speaker 3: I'm ready for this, Dave, aren't you? Oh this should
39:55
Speaker 3: be a good time.
39:55
Speaker 17: I mean, it's gonna be almost If you like the
39:57
Speaker 17: cycling thing down there on the levee, you'll it's very similar.
40:00
Speaker 3: You don't like this too? I love the international flavor.
40:02
Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I mean you have a whole lot of
40:03
Speaker 3: people and again they're gonna be spending money. That's what
40:05
Speaker 3: we like.
40:06
Speaker 20: We love that.
40:06
Speaker 3: All right, let's speak. Let's talk about an annual event
40:10
Speaker 3: that's taking a bit of a turn this year because
40:13
Speaker 3: of the loss of one of the key components to
40:16
Speaker 3: that talking about Doug scaff and it's Mountaineers Night Out.
40:19
Speaker 3: It's still going on a little bit different talk about them.
40:22
Speaker 17: It is a little bit different if remember the Guys'
40:25
Speaker 17: Night Out and we're not having guys n out this year.
40:29
Speaker 17: The YW it did not have the Girls' Night Out either.
40:33
Speaker 17: So we're gonna do Mountaineers Night Out. We're inviting all gals,
40:36
Speaker 17: all guys to this Mountaineer watching football party, tailgate party
40:41
Speaker 17: as a fundraiser, and we're raising money for the Western
40:44
Speaker 17: Yia Kids Cancer Crusaders along with the Bob Burdett Center,
40:48
Speaker 17: Duck scaff Junior and I, along with the Animal Steve Z.
40:52
Speaker 17: We got together probably in March at the Capital Market
40:55
Speaker 17: and started talking about doing this. After Doug's death, we thought, well,
41:00
Speaker 17: what better way to continue to honor him than just
41:03
Speaker 17: to keep things, to keep things rolling. And one of
41:06
Speaker 17: his favorite charities was this question you had kids Cancer Crusaders.
41:09
Speaker 17: So we're having Mountaineers Night Out. It is September the twentieth,
41:12
Speaker 17: it'll be three weeks from tomorrow. It's at the Red
41:14

42:21
Speaker 17: point thirty. We don't know when the kickoff is, but
42:24
Speaker 17: whenever the kickoff is, our festivities will begin two hours
42:27
Speaker 17: prior to kickoff with the food and drink, and we're
42:31
Speaker 17: going to have a little special tribute to Doug at halftime.
42:35
Speaker 17: Maris is going to be there to help us honor
42:39
Speaker 17: her late husband, and we're going to do a little
42:41
Speaker 17: donation to the scholarship fund that w Foundation has already
42:45
Speaker 17: named in his honor, and there's a West Virginia alumni
42:48
Speaker 17: chapter down here, so we're going to funnel it through
42:50
Speaker 17: Eric o'nold and his chapter for the Doug scaff for
42:53
Speaker 17: Moral Scholarship Fund. Sounds like a lot of fun. It's
42:56
Speaker 17: always a lot of fun. This year it's going to
42:58
Speaker 17: be not just guys. We want the the ladies to
43:00
Speaker 17: come as well and just enjoy the fellowship, enjoy the football,
43:04
Speaker 17: enjoy the food, and raise money for two amazingly worthy
43:09
Speaker 17: causes and a little tribute to Doug again. September the twentieth,
43:13
Speaker 17: two hours prior to kickoff, we take on the Mountaineers,
43:16
Speaker 17: will be taken on the Jayhawks of Kansas. We hope
43:19

46:27
Speaker 3: Stevens from the city of Nitro, I'd get this. In
46:29
Speaker 3: the cities of Saint Albans and Nitro, bitter rivals can
46:32
Speaker 3: sometimes come together. Two cities again TV Now for the
46:35
Speaker 3: annual Labor Day fireworks show Sunday night. I think the
46:37
Speaker 3: lunch the fireworks from Roadside Park at nine to thirty
46:41
Speaker 3: Sunday night. The best view will be on the Dick

Speaker 3: Henderson Bridge, which is actually going to be closed between

Speaker 3: eight thirty and ten thirty, so please traffic note there,

47:09
Speaker 3: You've been here before. I know it's always special, but
47:11
Speaker 3: last time you brought Bishop with you. But you're here solo.
47:14
Speaker 14: Today, Yeah, he yeah, he's off doing something.
47:17
Speaker 3: Doing Steve things, going to Steve. What are you doing
47:20
Speaker 3: tomorrow in Saint Albans.
47:21
Speaker 14: Well, everyone I think is aware of the powerball jackpot.
47:25
Speaker 14: It was nine hundred and fifty million dollars this morning
47:27
Speaker 14: on the Big I sixty four billboard. But it's probably
47:31
Speaker 14: I'm guessing going to hit a billion before tomorrow night's
47:34
Speaker 14: jackpot drawing.
47:35
Speaker 3: That's billion with a bee, with a bee.
47:37
Speaker 14: I have tickets to give away tomorrow, Okay, starting at
47:40
Speaker 14: twelve noon, show up at the gomart in Saint Almans,
47:44
Speaker 14: the one right there at mccorko Avenue and the entrance
47:47
Speaker 14: to canaw Terrace, the new one they built a few
47:49
Speaker 14: years ago. Just look for the V one hundred and
47:52
Speaker 14: ten or van myself and uh, we're going to pass
47:56
Speaker 14: them out while they last.
47:57
Speaker 3: So you just got to hand out. Yeah, just stop buying.
48:00
Speaker 14: We'll get you one all right while they last again. Okay,
48:03
Speaker 14: but I you aint doing it for an hour, right, correct,
48:05
Speaker 14: twelve noon to one o'clock. O.
48:07
Speaker 3: Right, So don't show up at one on one.
48:09
Speaker 14: Yeah, don't dilly dally.
48:10
Speaker 3: I mean a matter of fact, you may not want
48:11
Speaker 3: to show up at twelve fifty because they may all
48:13
Speaker 3: be gone by then. So just by not being there
48:16
Speaker 3: at noon, they could a matter of fact, go get
48:17
Speaker 3: in line. Now, just the people would love that at Gomar.
48:20
Speaker 3: It's not like an ACDC concert. I mean, come on now,
48:24
Speaker 3: all right, So, I mean, you know, people will do
48:27
Speaker 3: crazy things, you know, if they get this money. Here's
48:30
Speaker 3: the age old question. Everybody always ask, what would you
48:33
Speaker 3: do if you wont Jenny.
48:34
Speaker 14: Martch, I would share all of it, except for a
48:36
Speaker 14: little bit for myself.
48:37
Speaker 3: Okay, I did.
48:39
Speaker 14: I traveled on Wednesday, and I stopped three times, three
48:43
Speaker 14: different states, and about one ticket in each state.
48:45
Speaker 3: And I checked the tickets left yesterday. I didn't have
48:48
Speaker 3: one single number. I had TJ. Meadows and oh my goodness,
48:53
Speaker 3: look who's here. It's it's Dave Wilson. Hi, Dave, how
48:56
Speaker 3: are you, buddy?
48:57
Speaker 5: I'm great.
48:58
Speaker 3: I gave you some big compliments. Hold on one second.
49:01
Speaker 3: I gave you some big compliments earlier, and I said
49:03
Speaker 3: that I not TJ. You were looking at me. I said,
49:05
Speaker 3: I would never compliment you to your face. Well, I
49:06
Speaker 3: appreciate it, but so you'll have to go back and
49:08
Speaker 3: listen to the podcast. If you want to hear what
49:10
Speaker 3: I said about you, so tell me things about I
49:11
Speaker 3: was talking about your travel, your travel schedule. Oh okay,
49:15
Speaker 3: So what would you do if you want nearly a
49:16
Speaker 3: billion dollars?
49:17
Speaker 15: Here's the thing you would You will never know because
49:19
Speaker 15: I will disappear and you will never ever see me again.
49:24
Speaker 3: Mad Now here's the question.
49:25
Speaker 14: Is West Virginia state where you have to reveal your
49:27
Speaker 14: identity if you want to be No, No, you.
49:30
Speaker 3: Can remain not to be. I think okay, you can
49:32
Speaker 3: remain Meadows.
49:33
Speaker 14: I agree with him.
49:34
Speaker 3: I mean, I know you you're you're you're all about investing.
49:38
Speaker 3: That's what you're gonna do. A billion dollars. You're going
49:40
Speaker 3: to be invested a billion dollars in something index funds. Simple, easy,
49:46
Speaker 3: enjoy my ten to twelve percent of a year. But
49:48
Speaker 3: all of you would do something fun. I mean, you
49:50
Speaker 3: know you said that nobody would ever see you again,
49:52
Speaker 3: So probably plastic surgery is probably.
49:54
Speaker 6: What you would get.
49:55
Speaker 15: No, I will buy a big, beautiful farm somewhere, maybe
50:00
Speaker 15: toward lewis Burg, I like Tucker County.
50:02
Speaker 3: I will live on a ridge and you will never
50:04
Speaker 3: see me again. All right, Meadows, what fun thing would
50:07
Speaker 3: you do?
50:07
Speaker 21: Oh jeez, my wife and I love to travel, So
50:11
Speaker 21: I would do like a around the world in a year,
50:14
Speaker 21: hit every place on our list. And there's like, I
50:16
Speaker 21: don't know, sixty seventy places on our list.
50:18
Speaker 3: Okay, what fun thing would you do?
50:20
Speaker 14: Take all my friends to the summit, just like Taylor Swift.
50:27
Speaker 3: We you know what, we could do an incredible radio promotion.
50:30
Speaker 3: We had a billion dollars. We could get Travison and
50:34
Speaker 3: Taytay to have their wedding here sponsored, you know, by
50:38
Speaker 3: V one hundred.
50:39
Speaker 11: I saw their.
50:39
Speaker 14: Picture there they got engaged in West Virginia near one
50:42
Speaker 14: of those signs.
50:43
Speaker 3: Yeah, I saw, Yeah, I saw. Is it gonna last, Jenny?
50:46
Speaker 3: I mean, is it true love to.
50:47
Speaker 12: I think it.
50:48
Speaker 15: I think it will last all right over under on
50:51
Speaker 15: that two years. No, you may look back on this
50:55
Speaker 15: twenty years from now. Maybe the single biggest moment in
50:59
Speaker 15: a Marria and history creates the Taylor Swift baby boom.
51:03
Speaker 15: All the Swifties now get married, All the Swifties have
51:05
Speaker 15: three or four kids because Tata does. Because changes the
51:09
Speaker 15: course of history, and they say we need babies.
51:12
Speaker 12: Love.
51:13
Speaker 3: I mean, this marriage is going to be just like
51:15
Speaker 3: Lonnie and Bert.
51:16
Speaker 20: I mean that one was great, Nie did not.
51:20
Speaker 3: That one didn't end well, and now they're both dead.
51:24
Speaker 20: But so way to bring us down there.
51:26
Speaker 3: If I'm just saying that the Dave Allen showing five
