Transcript
- 0:10Speaker 1: Hey, everybody, this is the latest edition of Birds Weekly.
- 0:14Speaker 1: It is brought to you by the Inside the Birds Network.
- 0:17Speaker 1: That man is my colleague, more importantly, my friend Hall
- 0:20Speaker 1: of Famer Ray Dender.
- 0:21Speaker 2: I'm Derek Gunn.
- 0:22Speaker 1: Through four weeks of the NFL season, the Eagles are
- 0:25Speaker 1: all one of only two teams that remained undefeated. And Ray,
- 0:28Speaker 1: how they arrived at four and oh is one of
- 0:30Speaker 1: the most perplexing things I have ever seen in my life.
- 0:35Speaker 1: This team has been out gained yard wise in four
- 0:38Speaker 1: consecutive games, and yet they still stand unblemished. I can't
- 0:43Speaker 1: figure it out, right, I can't. But the bottom line
- 0:46Speaker 1: is you win any way you can, and that's what
- 0:48Speaker 1: this team has done.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Four and oh is four and oh. I agree with that,
- 0:52Speaker 2: and it's you're right about the statistical part of it.
- 0:57Speaker 2: I mean, if you just ran your finger down all
- 1:00Speaker 2: the statistical columns in the NFL, those numbers don't seem
- 1:05Speaker 2: to compute to four and oh. I mean, you're ranking
- 1:07Speaker 2: in this category, you're ranking in that category. They just
- 1:10Speaker 2: don't except for a couple except for the fact that
- 1:13Speaker 2: you haven't thrown an interception that helps the fact that
- 1:17Speaker 2: you have scored a touchdown every time you've been in
- 1:20Speaker 2: the red zone. That certainly helps. I mean, there are
- 1:23Speaker 2: certain things that are consistent with winning, but there are
- 1:27Speaker 2: other things that are not. But when you look at
- 1:31Speaker 2: the schedule that played to this point, and I think
- 1:34Speaker 2: you and I even before the season started, going into
- 1:36Speaker 2: week one, we both talked about what a tough schedule
- 1:40Speaker 2: this was, and right from week one it was a
- 1:43Speaker 2: tough schedule. In the first four weeks, we both looked
- 1:46Speaker 2: at it as Wow, that's going to be rough. And
- 1:49Speaker 2: I am not a betting man, never have been, never
- 1:52Speaker 2: will be. But if I have been forced to place
- 1:56Speaker 2: a bet about Week four where the Eagles going befour
- 2:00Speaker 2: and oh after four games, I would have said no,
- 2:02Speaker 2: even though I think they're a really good team, even
- 2:04Speaker 2: though I expect them to win the division again, to
- 2:06Speaker 2: be back in the playoffs and everything. Did I think
- 2:08Speaker 2: they were going to run the table through four? And Oh? No,
- 2:11Speaker 2: I didn't. Now they've done it. They've done it in
- 2:14Speaker 2: a strange way. I will certainly agree to that, But
- 2:17Speaker 2: the fact is you said it. They are only two
- 2:19Speaker 2: undefeated teams left in the NFL, the Eagles and the Bills.
- 2:23Speaker 2: So Walin hasn't been pretty. I mean they've done just
- 2:26Speaker 2: enough to win those games.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Yeah, you were talking about the red zone. This team
- 2:31Speaker 1: is a perfect eleven for eleven in the in the
- 2:33Speaker 1: red zone. And you know, for the second week in
- 2:36Speaker 1: a row, they go up against another undefeated team, this
- 2:38Speaker 1: time in the Tampa Big Buccaneers and so the Bucks
- 2:40Speaker 1: they get the ball first to come out. Eagles defense
- 2:43Speaker 1: stops them low and behold. Special teams rises to the
- 2:47Speaker 1: occasion block punt, Sydney Brown picks it up and takes
- 2:51Speaker 1: it thirty five yards for a touchdown. Second consecutive week,
- 2:57Speaker 1: special teams has played a definitive role in deciding the
- 3:00Speaker 1: outcome of this r rate. Michael of the game, I
- 3:04Speaker 1: should say Michael Klay. Special teams unit has been impeccable
- 3:09Speaker 1: throughout the course of the season.
- 3:10Speaker 2: Through four games, has been uh, certainly has been. I
- 3:14Speaker 2: mean Jake Elliott has been absolutely money s field goals.
- 3:17Speaker 2: And you know, nobody's talked about Brandon Mann the Hunter.
- 3:22Speaker 2: I mean he's sort of way under the radar. Nobody
- 3:25Speaker 2: talks about it. People are taking him for granted, but
- 3:28Speaker 2: he is kicking the hell out of the ball. So
- 3:31Speaker 2: I mean every aspect except the return game. The return game,
- 3:34Speaker 2: especially in the Rams game, was a problem. But in
- 3:37Speaker 2: every other aspect, the special teams have been really good.
- 3:40Speaker 2: And for a couple of weeks in a row. Now
- 3:43Speaker 2: not only are you blocking kicks, but you're blocking kicks
- 3:46Speaker 2: and turning them into points for you. So yeah, I
- 3:49Speaker 2: mean that that helps. That absolutely helps. And you know,
- 3:53Speaker 2: there are you know, we're in a very funny place
- 3:58Speaker 2: with this team, Derek, because of the fact that they're
- 4:02Speaker 2: four and oh they've won what twenty out of twenty
- 4:05Speaker 2: one now, which is just I mean, that's just ridiculous
- 4:09Speaker 2: in the National Football League. I mean twenty out of
- 4:12Speaker 2: twenty one. I mean that's I mean, that's like Friday
- 4:14Speaker 2: night lights stuff. I mean that's yeah. That happens somewhere
- 4:18Speaker 2: like in Texas or something on a high school field. Yes,
- 4:24Speaker 2: I've seen teams, but not you don't win twenty out
- 4:27Speaker 2: of twenty one in the NFL. It just doesn't happen.
- 4:29Speaker 2: These guys are doing it. And yet you listen, you
- 4:33Speaker 2: walk around the city now today you hear people talk,
- 4:36Speaker 2: you listen to the radio, and you and I are
- 4:39Speaker 2: probably going to talk about it right now. Is all
- 4:41Speaker 2: the things that they have to clean up. And you say, well,
- 4:45Speaker 2: how can you how can two how can those two
- 4:48Speaker 2: things be true? You know, how can you have all
- 4:50Speaker 2: of these concerns about this and about that part of
- 4:53Speaker 2: the game and about this part of the game. And
- 4:54Speaker 2: guys are unhappy and guys don't know what their role
- 4:57Speaker 2: is blah blah blah. But they're four and oh and
- 4:59Speaker 2: they're twenty only of their last twenty one. On the
- 5:02Speaker 2: face of it, it doesn't make much sense. Now, that's
- 5:05Speaker 2: kind of where we are.
- 5:07Speaker 1: And you know, the thing is, the one game that
- 5:09Speaker 1: they'd lost was the game that Jalen went out with
- 5:10Speaker 1: a concussion early in the game against Washington. So you know,
- 5:14Speaker 1: you can put an asterisk next to that game because
- 5:16Speaker 1: I don't think there's any way Washington would have scored
- 5:18Speaker 1: with thirty six points in this team had Jalen played
- 5:20Speaker 1: in that particular game, So they could have been a
- 5:22Speaker 1: perfect one or twenty one, which is crazy in itself. Now,
- 5:26Speaker 1: we know that Todd Bowles has been Jalen hurts kryptonite
- 5:30Speaker 1: for a long time, and you knew that Todd Bowles
- 5:33Speaker 1: defense was coming after Jalen. But I tell you what,
- 5:35Speaker 1: Ray over that first thirty minutes. Jalen was immaculate eight
- 5:40Speaker 1: of nine against the Blitz, and receivers were wide open.
- 5:44Speaker 1: He found every wide open receiver he could. I thought.
- 5:46Speaker 1: Kevin Patulo called the first the perfect first thirty minutes
- 5:50Speaker 1: of that football game.
- 5:52Speaker 2: I did too. I did too. And you know last
- 5:55Speaker 2: week when you and I were looking ahead of this game,
- 5:58Speaker 2: I mean, that was one of the things that we
- 5:59Speaker 2: talked about of all the matchups, you know, this matchup,
- 6:02Speaker 2: that matchup. One of the matchups we both talked about
- 6:04Speaker 2: was Todd Bowles against Jalen Hurts. You know the history there,
- 6:08Speaker 2: and it wasn't good. It wasn't good for Jalen Hurts,
- 6:11Speaker 2: but well, he came into this game ready to go.
- 6:14Speaker 2: And the way it started, I mean, the way the
- 6:17Speaker 2: Eagles were moving the ball, the way they were executing
- 6:19Speaker 2: on offense. And I've really thought that they threw some
- 6:24Speaker 2: new stuff in there, some new wrinkles in the offense,
- 6:27Speaker 2: some variations off the tush push that were really good. Uh.
- 6:32Speaker 2: And they had offensively, they had complete control of that
- 6:35Speaker 2: game in the first half, and I was thinking, you know,
- 6:38Speaker 2: we've we've had some questions about the offense. We've had
- 6:40Speaker 2: some questions about some of the things that we saw
- 6:43Speaker 2: there that we kind of were scratching our heads about.
- 6:45Speaker 2: But you know what, it looks like they got it
- 6:47Speaker 2: figured out, I mean, and then come out in the
- 6:51Speaker 2: second half and Hurts is oh for eight. You know,
- 6:55Speaker 2: you're three and out, three and out, three and out,
- 6:57Speaker 2: three and out. It's like it's like two different games
- 6:59Speaker 2: and two differ teams. So you know, that's all the
- 7:03Speaker 2: kind of stuff that we have to unpack here. And
- 7:06Speaker 2: I'm sure there were people who walked away from the
- 7:08Speaker 2: set yesterday that it's thirty one thirteen, it's like, oh,
- 7:12Speaker 2: this game's over, you know, and went I went outside
- 7:14Speaker 2: to fire up the grill or whatever, and came back
- 7:17Speaker 2: in a few minutes later, and all of a sudden,
- 7:18Speaker 2: the Eagles are hanging on by their fingernails trying to win.
- 7:21Speaker 2: Say what happened?
- 7:22Speaker 1: You know?
- 7:23Speaker 2: And here we are, you know, more than twenty four
- 7:25Speaker 2: hours later, and we're still asking that question. Oh my goodness.
- 7:29Speaker 1: The first time, the first time Eagles test the ball,
- 7:33Speaker 1: they go seventy three yards and eight plays and they
- 7:36Speaker 1: throw an offensive wrinkle in there, a scoop scoop pass
- 7:40Speaker 1: to Dallas Goddard for a Testown. I mean, I'm like,
- 7:44Speaker 1: I've never seen that in a Nick Siriani offense or
- 7:47Speaker 1: Kellen Moore offense or Kevin Batula offense. And I'm thinking, man,
- 7:52Speaker 1: they're gonna throw the kitchen. Think of this Tampa Bay
- 7:55Speaker 1: team for this game.
- 7:57Speaker 2: It's really true. And if you look at if you
- 8:00Speaker 2: watch what happened, I mean, Jalen Hurts had such a
- 8:04Speaker 2: perfect read of the Tampa Bay defense and you said it,
- 8:09Speaker 2: I mean, guys are wide open and he's hitting every
- 8:11Speaker 2: one of them. That in the second half, Todd Bowles
- 8:17Speaker 2: were one of the few times in his career backed
- 8:19Speaker 2: off on the blitz, yeah, because he just knew Jalen
- 8:24Speaker 2: was killing him with that. And so they came out
- 8:26Speaker 2: and they didn't blitz nearly as much in the second half,
- 8:29Speaker 2: and turns out that there was much more effective going
- 8:31Speaker 2: that way. So, I mean, there was a lot of this,
- 8:35Speaker 2: a lot of this strategy within the game that seemed
- 8:39Speaker 2: to go entirely in the Eagles favor in the first
- 8:42Speaker 2: half and then swung around completely the other way in
- 8:45Speaker 2: the second half. And you know, when you look and
- 8:47Speaker 2: you try and start to break down, Okay, what happened
- 8:50Speaker 2: in the second half. It doesn't seem on the face
- 8:52Speaker 2: of it doesn't seem to make much sense. But defensively,
- 8:56Speaker 2: it made sense in this respect that at the Eagles
- 9:02Speaker 2: offense was so ineffective in the second half that the
- 9:06Speaker 2: offense was never on the field. Tampa Bay's offense was
- 9:09Speaker 2: on the field, which meant the Eagles defense was on
- 9:12Speaker 2: the field for the whole second half, and they just
- 9:15Speaker 2: got tired. I mean in the fourth quarter they were gassed,
- 9:19Speaker 2: and so yeah, they gave up some big plays and
- 9:21Speaker 2: they gave up some points in the second half just
- 9:23Speaker 2: because they were exhausted. So what happened there that's perfectly explainable.
- 9:28Speaker 2: What happened with the offense is less so, and that's
- 9:31Speaker 2: what people are trying to figure out now and also
- 9:34Speaker 2: trying to figure out, Okay, what is this offense right now?
- 9:38Speaker 2: What is it and what and maybe more specifically, what
- 9:41Speaker 2: is it trying to be because we saw it at
- 9:44Speaker 2: the second half of the Rams game when they came
- 9:47Speaker 2: out and they went hurry up and they were great,
- 9:50Speaker 2: you know, I mean they were hitting play after play
- 9:52Speaker 2: after play, totally control of the game. And then you
- 9:56Speaker 2: start this week the way they started in the first half.
- 10:00Speaker 2: I don't know about you, but I'm sitting banks saying, well,
- 10:02Speaker 2: they got this figured out. Yeah, and they had some
- 10:04Speaker 2: offensive issues for a while, Sure looked like it, but man,
- 10:08Speaker 2: the second half against the Rams and the first half
- 10:10Speaker 2: here they got it figured out and then second half nothing.
- 10:14Speaker 2: So yeah, I mean, you look at the you look
- 10:17Speaker 2: at the four and oh, and that looks pretty good.
- 10:19Speaker 2: But here you and I are, and here's every other
- 10:22Speaker 2: Eagle fan sitting back and saying, what's next. You know,
- 10:25Speaker 2: that's that's and that's you know, you and I are
- 10:28Speaker 2: having that conversation. But I think it's a conversation thousands
- 10:31Speaker 2: of people in this area have. Yeah, the team's four
- 10:33Speaker 2: and oh, but what does that really mean in the
- 10:35Speaker 2: bigger picture. We don't know yet.
- 10:38Speaker 1: This team had two hundred one yards of offense in
- 10:41Speaker 1: the first half, right And as I'm sitting in the
- 10:43Speaker 1: studio preparing to do the postgame show with Seth Joyner
- 10:47Speaker 1: and Mark Farzetta, when he got to the end of
- 10:50Speaker 1: the game, I looked up that they had two hundred
- 10:53Speaker 1: yards of offense for four quarters, which means, as you
- 10:56Speaker 1: just alluded to, Jalen Nerds had zero com polictions in
- 11:00Speaker 1: the second half. They had minus one yard of offense
- 11:04Speaker 1: the entire last thirty minutes of a game. I can't
- 11:09Speaker 1: believe a team that that's talented had those kind of
- 11:13Speaker 1: paltry numbers for thirty minutes of football. And I'm thinking,
- 11:18Speaker 1: was it Patula? Was it Jalen Hurts? How worries should
- 11:22Speaker 1: we be about this offense?
- 11:25Speaker 2: That's a very valid question, you know, what is it?
- 11:30Speaker 2: What is it trying to be? You know, I mean
- 11:33Speaker 2: I would like to I would like to be able
- 11:36Speaker 2: to sit back and say, hey, look, what are you
- 11:40Speaker 2: complaining about? You know, you're four and zero, first place,
- 11:45Speaker 2: You've run through a very tough, stretching games, You've won
- 11:48Speaker 2: all of them. What are you complaining about? You've won
- 11:51Speaker 2: twenty out of twenty one, which is the best run
- 11:56Speaker 2: of any Eagles team in history, in history has had
- 12:01Speaker 2: a run like this. So what are you complaining about?
- 12:04Speaker 2: I kind of and I've heard some people say that.
- 12:07Speaker 2: I've heard some people say what are you complaining about?
- 12:10Speaker 2: I kind of I kind of get where they're coming from.
- 12:13Speaker 2: But on the other hand, there is another way to
- 12:16Speaker 2: look at this, And the way I'm kind of seeing
- 12:20Speaker 2: it is, Look, do I think it is a good team, Yeah,
- 12:23Speaker 2: I really do. Do I think they're going to be
- 12:26Speaker 2: in the postseason? Sure? Do I think they're going to
- 12:29Speaker 2: win this division? Yeah? I do. All of that stuff
- 12:33Speaker 2: is true. But if you are where the Eagles are,
- 12:37Speaker 2: which is as they are, the rating super Bowl champs.
- 12:40Speaker 2: So your goal coming into this was we want to
- 12:44Speaker 2: go back to the super Bowl and we want to
- 12:45Speaker 2: win it again. That's what I mean. I know Nick
- 12:48Speaker 2: Sirianni didn't want to put it in those terms, but
- 12:50Speaker 2: that's the reality of it. That's what you wanted to do.
- 12:54Speaker 2: So if that's really what you want to do, then
- 12:58Speaker 2: can you get there? That's the bigger picture. Can you
- 13:00Speaker 2: get there and win that game? Playing this kind of
- 13:05Speaker 2: schizophrenic kind of football that I don't know, can you go?
- 13:10Speaker 2: Can you get to a super Bowl and win it?
- 13:13Speaker 2: With Jalen Hurts going zero for eight and a half,
- 13:17Speaker 2: Saquon Barkley averaging less than three yards of carry, with
- 13:21Speaker 2: AJ Brown finishing a game with two catches for seven yard,
- 13:25Speaker 2: chances are no. You know you've won these games now.
- 13:29Speaker 2: But if the idea is getting to the postseason, getting
- 13:33Speaker 2: to a super Bowl and winning the Super Bowl, you
- 13:35Speaker 2: know you can't do that. Playing right the way they're
- 13:38Speaker 2: playing right now. Right, So that's kind of what we
- 13:41Speaker 2: have to unpack here, Like, Okay, what are the issues
- 13:43Speaker 2: here and now? Is can this team survive this in
- 13:46Speaker 2: the regular season? You probably yes, But if you really
- 13:49Speaker 2: are thinking about trying to win a Super Bowl, you
- 13:52Speaker 2: probably can't do it playing this way.
- 13:55Speaker 1: You were, you were mentioning Saquon and you know in
- 13:57Speaker 1: today's seventeen game four met in the NFL, you only
- 14:00Speaker 1: need to average a little over fifty nine yards a
- 14:03Speaker 1: game a game to reach one thousand yards for a season.
- 14:06Speaker 1: Saquan has two hundred and thirty seven yards rushing in
- 14:10Speaker 1: four games, which is an average of a little over
- 14:12Speaker 1: fifty nine yards a game. You know, I don't know
- 14:16Speaker 1: what you can do to spring of right now. We've
- 14:17Speaker 1: talked about we believe Landon Dickerson is playing through some
- 14:21Speaker 1: aches and pains. This offensive line has not been as
- 14:24Speaker 1: dominant as we've We've we've grown accustomed to watching him
- 14:28Speaker 1: play over the last year. You know, Lane Johnson went
- 14:32Speaker 1: out again for a second time in a game. You know,
- 14:36Speaker 1: I don't know is this gonna be a one handed
- 14:39Speaker 1: offense because the jury's out until further notice. Everybody that
- 14:43Speaker 1: that Eagles are playing have basically said, Saquan is not
- 14:46Speaker 1: gonna beat us. You're gonna have to find out other
- 14:47Speaker 1: ways to beat us, which the Eagles have done and
- 14:50Speaker 1: even though the numbers have not looked impressive, Ray, but
- 14:52Speaker 1: I agree with you one hundred percent. I don't think
- 14:54Speaker 1: they can sustain this being like a one handed offense,
- 14:58Speaker 1: especially when you look at the passing numbers look great
- 15:01Speaker 1: one man, all of a sudden they don't exist the
- 15:03Speaker 1: next minute.
- 15:04Speaker 3: Hey, you know that one guy in the group chat
- 15:06Speaker 3: who hit a five leg parlay week one and he
- 15:09Speaker 3: wouldn't shut up about it for the rest of the season.
- 15:12Speaker 3: Sounds like kaplan, right, Yeah, yeah, it.
- 15:14Speaker 2: Could be him. It could be you, and we would
- 15:17Speaker 2: all want to be you.

- 17:31Speaker 2: you can look so good for half and then you
- 17:37Speaker 2: can't get a first down in the second half. Similarly,
- 17:40Speaker 2: you take it back one week to the Rams game,
- 17:43Speaker 2: where you're completely outplayed for half, you come out in
- 17:46Speaker 2: the second half and run the Brams out of the stadium.
- 17:50Speaker 2: That's it. There's yeah, I mean, that's baffling. That is
- 17:54Speaker 2: just baffling. And I you know, I would like to
- 17:59Speaker 2: see and I know there are these sort of football
- 18:02Speaker 2: analytics people that break the game down to every level
- 18:08Speaker 2: of minutia, and I would like to see. And I
- 18:10Speaker 2: know there's a stat about yards after contact. You know,
- 18:16Speaker 2: that's that's a lot, there's a lot of conversation about that.
- 18:20Speaker 2: I would like to know what Saquon's yards after contact
- 18:24Speaker 2: figure is now compared to where it was last season,
- 18:29Speaker 2: because if you remember last season, he was ripping through
- 18:33Speaker 2: some holes there where he was he was into the
- 18:36Speaker 2: second level, untouched, running full speed, ripping off these seventy
- 18:41Speaker 2: sixty seventy yard runs. Now, I mean he's getting hit
- 18:45Speaker 2: before he even gets back to the line of scrimmage.
- 18:48Speaker 2: So for all the people, and there are a lot
- 18:50Speaker 2: of them out there that are asking the question, what's
- 18:53Speaker 2: wrong with Saquon is you know? Is is the workload
- 18:56Speaker 2: from last year carried over to this year and he's
- 18:59Speaker 2: not the same player? You know, has he lost a step?
- 19:02Speaker 2: Has he lost a step and a half? Because we've
- 19:05Speaker 2: seen that. I mean, we've seen backs that had not
- 19:09Speaker 2: necessarily two thousand yards but heavy duty yards one season
- 19:13Speaker 2: have a precipitous fall off the next season. You know,
- 19:15Speaker 2: Priest Holmes was that way, Jamal Anderson was that way,
- 19:18Speaker 2: DeMarco Murray was that way. They come back the next
- 19:21Speaker 2: year and they're not the same guy. Oh, is that
- 19:23Speaker 2: what's happened to Saquon Barkley? Derek I don't think so.
- 19:27Speaker 2: I mean, I think he's you know, to me, he
- 19:29Speaker 2: looks like the same guy. The difference is every time
- 19:32Speaker 2: he gets the ball now he's running, he's running into
- 19:35Speaker 2: four or five tacklers are sitting there waiting for him.
- 19:38Speaker 2: So that's kind of what the coaches have to figure
- 19:40Speaker 2: out compared to what the kind of explosive running game
- 19:44Speaker 2: that they had last year to where they are now.
- 19:47Speaker 2: It's I don't think there's anything wrong with the guy
- 19:49Speaker 2: with the football. I think it's a question of the
- 19:52Speaker 2: guys in front of him and the defenses they're running
- 19:55Speaker 2: up against, because you know, look, he's he'say. He had
- 19:59Speaker 2: two hundred and fifty five yards in one game against
- 20:01Speaker 2: the Rams. He doesn't have two hundred and fifty five
- 20:03Speaker 2: yards through four games this year. And there's a question
- 20:09Speaker 2: about how much of what they're doing now. People ask
- 20:11Speaker 2: the question, well, is this Yeah, they're winning games this way,
- 20:14Speaker 2: but is this sustainable? You know, that's a fair question
- 20:17Speaker 2: to ask. But Saquon Barkley averaging less than three yards
- 20:21Speaker 2: to carry over the course of a season, that is
- 20:23Speaker 2: not sustainable.
- 20:24Speaker 1: I don't know why he keep trying to run this
- 20:26Speaker 1: man between the tackles. Ray, why are they not trying
- 20:28Speaker 1: to get him out on the edge more. I mean,
- 20:30Speaker 1: not only does he have the power, but he has
- 20:32Speaker 1: the speed to get out on the edge also and
- 20:34Speaker 1: beat the outside containment. But they keep trying to run
- 20:37Speaker 1: him between the tackles and he's getting beat up time
- 20:40Speaker 1: after time. I mean, when do you look at the
- 20:42Speaker 1: tape and see, Okay, maybe let's try something different with him,
- 20:45Speaker 1: because every time he touches the ball, you see guys
- 20:47Speaker 1: shooting the gap, waiting for him and hitting him at
- 20:49Speaker 1: the line of scrimmage or behind the line of scrimmage.
- 20:51Speaker 2: Yeah, it seemed like early in the game they had
- 20:57Speaker 2: this different kind of strategy about throwing him the ball,
- 21:00Speaker 2: you know, getting him the ball out in the flat
- 21:02Speaker 2: and getting him that space to be able to get
- 21:06Speaker 2: out in the open and break some tackles and get
- 21:09Speaker 2: the yardage. That seemed to be I thought, Okay, well,
- 21:11Speaker 2: this is there going to be their approach to it now,
- 21:13Speaker 2: and they might have some success with that, but ultimately
- 21:16Speaker 2: you have to have success with him running the ball
- 21:19Speaker 2: as a running back, and right now they're trying to
- 21:21Speaker 2: find that. I add, I know that this team and
- 21:26Speaker 2: I know that this coaching staff, you know, they love
- 21:29Speaker 2: their twelve personnel, they love their thirteen personnel, they love
- 21:33Speaker 2: the two and three tight end sets. I mean, I've
- 21:36Speaker 2: had real success with it. But I think that with
- 21:38Speaker 2: the way that this offense is right now, I question
- 21:43Speaker 2: the use of that. I really do, because if you
- 21:46Speaker 2: go two tights, three tights, you're setting yourself up. You're
- 21:51Speaker 2: compressing your offense because of all the tight end play,
- 21:55Speaker 2: and if you have teams, you're not all spread out.
- 21:58Speaker 2: I mean, you're kind of bunched up here. And if
- 22:01Speaker 2: defenses are geared up to everything's coming downhill. Everything's about
- 22:05Speaker 2: attacking a line of scrimmage and shutting down the running back.
- 22:08Speaker 2: It seems to me that the tighter you make your formation,
- 22:10Speaker 2: the easier you make it for your defense, for the
- 22:12Speaker 2: defensive play it. I would one of the ways that
- 22:16Speaker 2: I think you could get around that or help alleviate
- 22:20Speaker 2: that is if you went with more multiple wides, and
- 22:25Speaker 2: you know, and you went with eleven personnel, you went
- 22:27Speaker 2: with one running back in the two and one tight
- 22:29Speaker 2: end and three wide receivers and spread the formation and
- 22:35Speaker 2: open the defense up a little bit, force them to
- 22:37Speaker 2: play the wider field and then just by formation, you
- 22:40Speaker 2: can create some more space for Barkley to hit those holes.
- 22:45Speaker 2: But if you go, if you go in these multiple
- 22:47Speaker 2: tight end formations, then it kind of compresses your team
- 22:51Speaker 2: with the line of scrimmage, and I think it makes
- 22:52Speaker 2: it easier for a run defense to play their game.
- 22:55Speaker 2: You know, right, you were mentioning Aj Brown.
- 22:57Speaker 1: He had nine targets but only two catches for seven
- 23:00Speaker 1: yards in one series. In the second half, Jalen goes
- 23:04Speaker 1: to him three consecutive times. All three are incomplete passes,
- 23:08Speaker 1: like they're trying to force feed him the ball. Four
- 23:10Speaker 1: games right now, he has fourteen catches fo one hundred
- 23:13Speaker 1: and fifty one yards one touchdown. Saquon has as many
- 23:17Speaker 1: catches as Aj Brown does. Pookin Akua of the Rams
- 23:22Speaker 1: already has forty two catches in four games. Now, you
- 23:27Speaker 1: know Jalen's I mean, you know, AJ's frustrated and he
- 23:30Speaker 1: wears his emotions on his sleeve, although he tries to
- 23:32Speaker 1: tell you he doesn't want to be a distraction. But
- 23:34Speaker 1: after the game he sends out this message that I
- 23:37Speaker 1: love y'all with all my heart. And then later he
- 23:40Speaker 1: sends out this encryptic message that says, if you're not welcome,
- 23:44Speaker 1: not listened to, quietly withdraw, don't make a scene, shrug
- 23:49Speaker 1: your shoulder and be on your way.
- 23:51Speaker 2: And you're thinking, you.
- 23:53Speaker 1: Don't want to be a distraction, But you know, if
- 23:54Speaker 1: you put something out there like that, everybody's jumping on it.
- 23:58Speaker 1: And sure enough, everybody's talking about and he's not happy again.
- 24:01Speaker 1: Now you know he's gonna have a conversation with the coaches.
- 24:03Speaker 1: But I understand this frustration. You know, it's beyond the
- 24:07Speaker 1: thirty three thirty four million he's making this year. He
- 24:10Speaker 1: wants to be productive and more included in the offense.
- 24:14Speaker 1: I understand that. But teams are playing him differently this year,
- 24:17Speaker 1: and he's got to be able to see that. The
- 24:19Speaker 1: looks that he got in twenty twenty four as of
- 24:21Speaker 1: right now, don't exist in twenty twenty five.
- 24:24Speaker 2: But I don't understand Ray White. They don't just.
- 24:26Speaker 1: Send this man more on the slant routes. I mean,
- 24:29Speaker 1: I've slammed people all day. You're talking about a big
- 24:32Speaker 1: receiver with a big catch radius, who's more physical and
- 24:36Speaker 1: usually taller than the secondary personnel covering him, and yet
- 24:40Speaker 1: they basically ignore the slat route where he can easily
- 24:43Speaker 1: pick up seven, eight, ten, twelve yards for catch.
- 24:46Speaker 2: It just baffle baffles me beyond belief. Yeah, I mean
- 24:50Speaker 2: I kind of thought that with the second half of
- 24:52Speaker 2: the Rams game, the way he kind of took over
- 24:56Speaker 2: that game. Yeah yeah, I mean we all know that
- 24:59Speaker 2: his product was way down through the first two weeks
- 25:02Speaker 2: and pretty much non existence first half against the Rams.
- 25:05Speaker 2: But the second half of the Rams game, I mean,
- 25:07Speaker 2: he took that game over which he is capable, entirely
- 25:10Speaker 2: capable of doing. And you saw that, and I kind
- 25:13Speaker 2: of thought, Okay, you know, the whole AJ thing. We
- 25:15Speaker 2: kind of resolved that now. I mean, we saw on
- 25:17Speaker 2: the second half of the Rams game that what he
- 25:20Speaker 2: can do and moving forward, now we're not going to
- 25:23Speaker 2: have any AJA issues. And here we are a week
- 25:26Speaker 2: later and we do, I mean, two catch for seven yards.
- 25:30Speaker 2: And I've heard some of this, well, teams are taking
- 25:33Speaker 2: them away from you, teams of the way they're playing,
- 25:35Speaker 2: and they're taking him away. What I mean you I
- 25:40Speaker 2: mean you mentioned Nikua. I mean you think teams aren't
- 25:44Speaker 2: trying to take Nakou away and he's catching a million
- 25:49Speaker 2: passes at every game. You think teams weren't trying to
- 25:52Speaker 2: take Jerry Rice away. You think teams weren't trying to
- 25:55Speaker 2: take Randy Moss away. Of course they were. But the
- 25:59Speaker 2: teams the coaches that figured out a way to either
- 26:02Speaker 2: move him around or put him in motion, or create
- 26:04Speaker 2: combination routes that got him the space that allowed him
- 26:07Speaker 2: to do the things he needed to do. This notion that, well,
- 26:10Speaker 2: you know, what are you gonna do? Teams are taking
- 26:13Speaker 2: him away? Well no, I mean there's no reason why
- 26:15Speaker 2: four games into the season that he has as many
- 26:18Speaker 2: catches is as yeah, or you know, any of these
- 26:27Speaker 2: other sort of mid level receivers. He's too good for that. Now.
- 26:31Speaker 2: I don't know if you saw it, well, you were
- 26:32Speaker 2: doing the post Game show with Seth. I don't know
- 26:38Speaker 2: if you saw the show or you heard about the show,
- 26:42Speaker 2: our old show, the Postgame Live on Comcast sports Net,
- 26:47Speaker 2: but they had Jason Levant and Ron ch Orski on
- 26:50Speaker 2: the set and they had a fairly lengthy discussion about
- 26:55Speaker 2: the whole a JA issue, and Jason, you know, Jason
- 27:01Speaker 2: said some things that were very interesting. I mean, for
- 27:05Speaker 2: a guy who played wide receiver in the NFL and
- 27:08Speaker 2: certainly knows what's involved in that, he was trying to
- 27:11Speaker 2: explain some of what was going on.
- 27:14Speaker 1: Uh.
- 27:14Speaker 2: And if you kind of read between the lines of
- 27:16Speaker 2: what he was saying, he was laying some of it
- 27:20Speaker 2: on Aja. Because at one point he said, and this
- 27:23Speaker 2: was this was when my years perked up when he
- 27:26Speaker 2: said he referred to him quitting on a route. Yes. Uh.
- 27:30Speaker 2: And that's a whole different thing than just strategy. That's
- 27:36Speaker 2: a whole different thing than how the defense is playing you.
- 27:39Speaker 2: If if you, if you have somebody that says, yeah,
- 27:42Speaker 2: I watched it, he quit on the route. Now we're
- 27:45Speaker 2: talking about a whole different thing. And and at this
- 27:48Speaker 2: level of frustration has reached a point where he's not
- 27:53Speaker 2: running out his routes the way he's supposed to. If
- 27:56Speaker 2: he's quote unquote quitting on routes, now that's problem now.
- 28:01Speaker 2: At his press conference today, Nick Sirianni was asked a
- 28:05Speaker 2: lot about the A. J. Brown thing, And you know,
- 28:08Speaker 2: have you talk to him? You know, did you see
- 28:11Speaker 2: what he posted? Did you see what he said? What
- 28:14Speaker 2: did you talk to him? Yes? I talked to him.
- 28:16Speaker 2: Well what did what did I'm not going to tell
- 28:18Speaker 2: I'm not going to openly talk about what we talked about.
- 28:21Speaker 2: That's all going to stay in house, which I understand,
- 28:24Speaker 2: but obviously that conversation has taken place. Uh, And you know,
- 28:29Speaker 2: where do you go from here? I mean, we kind
- 28:30Speaker 2: of went down this road with AJ before now, uh.
- 28:33Speaker 2: And I mean there was the crisis. There was sort
- 28:36Speaker 2: of the little mini crisis dust up a year ago
- 28:39Speaker 2: when it looked like there was a real rift between
- 28:42Speaker 2: the quarterback and him and you know, what's wrong with
- 28:46Speaker 2: what the passing game? You know, but I'm not going
- 28:48Speaker 2: to talk about it. And then for the better part
- 28:51Speaker 2: of a week or two weeks, I mean there was
- 28:53Speaker 2: sort of you know, there was sort of fire but
- 28:55Speaker 2: fire arms going off and in the Novacare complex. It
- 28:58Speaker 2: looked like this thing was sort of blowing up. And
- 29:01Speaker 2: then you got pasted it and they wound up winning
- 29:02Speaker 2: a Super Bowl. So I mean, you can work your
- 29:05Speaker 2: way through all this kind of stuff, and they've done
- 29:08Speaker 2: that with this with AJ before. But you know, we're
- 29:12Speaker 2: kind of there now and they're going to have to
- 29:15Speaker 2: deal with this now. It helps that you're four and
- 29:17Speaker 2: zero and you're not one and three, because this would
- 29:19Speaker 2: only gotten worse if they were. So you're winning, but
- 29:23Speaker 2: you have these things to work through and the idea
- 29:26Speaker 2: that well, you know, maybe he's lost it, maybe he's
- 29:29Speaker 2: not the player was he won you the Rams game
- 29:33Speaker 2: last week? What did did he get old on Wednesday?
- 29:36Speaker 2: You know that's he's still the same guy that can
- 29:39Speaker 2: take over that game. So to me, this is a
- 29:42Speaker 2: collective thing that they have to figure out. You know,
- 29:44Speaker 2: between the quarterback and the coaches, you have to find
- 29:47Speaker 2: a way to make this guy as big a part
- 29:50Speaker 2: of this offense as he needs to be. You're not
- 29:52Speaker 2: going to You're not going to get ultimately down the
- 29:55Speaker 2: road where you want to be and where you want
- 29:57Speaker 2: to go with him catching two passes for seven yards. Yeah,
- 30:00Speaker 2: me too good a player for that, and they have
- 30:03Speaker 2: to figure it out.
- 30:04Speaker 1: Yeah, a player that you've talked about before and he's
- 30:09Speaker 1: really been shining the last couple of weeks. Is Jehan
- 30:13Speaker 1: Campbell and and Zach Bond after the game said, I
- 30:18Speaker 1: don't think he knows how good he is or how
- 30:21Speaker 1: capable he is of being good. He just keeps getting
- 30:24Speaker 1: better and better. You know, against the Buccaneers he had
- 30:27Speaker 1: a force fumble in an key interception and the end
- 30:30Speaker 1: zone ray. This young man might be the steal of
- 30:33Speaker 1: the draft. The Eagles got to be thirty one. He
- 30:35Speaker 1: might be the steal of the draft this year.

- 32:40Speaker 3: made for Philly fans.
- 32:41Speaker 2: Twenty one and up. Yeah, I mean you and I
- 32:44Speaker 2: both talked about that before the season, about how big
- 32:48Speaker 2: an impact this guy could have, because you know, Vic
- 32:54Speaker 2: Fangio is an old school coach who is a little
- 33:01Speaker 2: I don't want to say reluctant, but he's not a
- 33:04Speaker 2: guy that rushes first year players onto the field. You know,
- 33:08Speaker 2: they kind of have to earn their way onto the field,
- 33:10Speaker 2: and he has to and he has to feel fully
- 33:13Speaker 2: comfortable not just in their ability, but in their ability
- 33:18Speaker 2: to execute his off his defense. And I thought it
- 33:22Speaker 2: was really telling that week one this kid was in there,
- 33:27Speaker 2: and so the fact that that Vic had come totally
- 33:30Speaker 2: around on this guy and really wanted him on the
- 33:32Speaker 2: field in all of these situations told me a lot.
- 33:36Speaker 2: And anybody that saw him play at Alabama knew the
- 33:39Speaker 2: kind of player he was. I mean he has he
- 33:43Speaker 2: has a very rare combination of size, range, and speed,
- 33:49Speaker 2: and he can do a lot of stuff there. I mean,
- 33:51Speaker 2: he can play that off ball linebacker thing very well,
- 33:54Speaker 2: but he can you can also use him as an
- 33:57Speaker 2: edge pass rusher and he can be effective in both.
- 34:00Speaker 2: And look, he got beat on a deep route in
- 34:02Speaker 2: this game, yeah he did. But in the fourth quarter
- 34:07Speaker 2: when you needed a big stop to help save the game,
- 34:11Speaker 2: he makes the pick in the end zone. And I
- 34:13Speaker 2: think that if you look back over it, like every game,
- 34:17Speaker 2: they're in a key moment, he made a big play
- 34:19Speaker 2: either a key tackle short of the sticks or forcing
- 34:23Speaker 2: a fumble or in this case, making an end zone interception.
- 34:27Speaker 2: He just has that ability to in a big moment,
- 34:30Speaker 2: when you need a big play, he delivers. And just
- 34:33Speaker 2: four games into his career, you're already seeing that. I
- 34:35Speaker 2: think that he is over the course. It would not
- 34:38Speaker 2: surprise me. I know we're only four games in, so
- 34:41Speaker 2: I don't want to jump too far ahead. Sure, but
- 34:43Speaker 2: I mean down the road when you start having that
- 34:45Speaker 2: discussion about the defensive rookie of the year, I think
- 34:49Speaker 2: he's going to be in that discussion. Yes, I really do,
- 34:52Speaker 2: because I think he's I think he's that good. And
- 34:56Speaker 2: the guys on the defense and Zach Bond kind of
- 34:58Speaker 2: spoke to it after the game about just how good
- 35:00Speaker 2: he is and the statement about and I don't think
- 35:03Speaker 2: he realizes yet just how good he is, but we did,
- 35:06Speaker 2: and I think the fans are starting to see that too. Yeah.
- 35:09Speaker 2: I mean, here's a guy who's a thirty first pick
- 35:11Speaker 2: in the draft, and yet if you looked at it now,
- 35:14Speaker 2: if you redrafted, I mean, he probably would have been
- 35:17Speaker 2: top twelve, which is where he should have been if
- 35:19Speaker 2: it wasn't for Nfoe, for the shoulder injury. I think
- 35:21Speaker 2: he would have been. Yeah.
- 35:24Speaker 1: Another player that's just that good has been Quenya Mitchell
- 35:28Speaker 1: in the year plus that he's been with this organization.
- 35:30Speaker 1: And we talked about wrinkles that this team threw in
- 35:34Speaker 1: this particular game against Tampa Bay in vig Fangio shots
- 35:38Speaker 1: us all he has Quinnya following what's his name of Edbuca,
- 35:43Speaker 1: the young talented wide receiver for Tampa Bay all over the.
- 35:46Speaker 2: Field, really good, really unbelievable player.
- 35:50Speaker 1: I mean, obviously he's going to be the air apparent
- 35:52Speaker 1: to Mike Evans when Mike Evans decides to retire. But
- 35:56Speaker 1: I was shocked at Fangio use it because we don't
- 35:59Speaker 1: see him moving this rnerbacks around. He basically keeps him
- 36:02Speaker 1: on one side of the field, tells him to play
- 36:04Speaker 1: their third of the field of the best of the ability,
- 36:07Speaker 1: which he has more so than not in his young career.
- 36:10Speaker 1: But that tells me that Fangio has so much confidence
- 36:13Speaker 1: in this young man that we may see this again,
- 36:17Speaker 1: especially when they play some really good receivers again, we
- 36:19Speaker 1: may see this again. Was he's gonna be isolated on
- 36:22Speaker 1: receiver wherever that guy goes you're gonna see Quinna Mitchell.
- 36:24Speaker 2: Going with them. I think you will. Yeah, I think
- 36:27Speaker 2: he's already earned that kind of responsibility. And listen, he's
- 36:33Speaker 2: up to it. I mean he I mean he held
- 36:36Speaker 2: a bouquet to two catches. I mean, and he and
- 36:40Speaker 2: he shadowed him pretty much all day, and he held
- 36:43Speaker 2: him to two catches and certainly no big plays. And
- 36:46Speaker 2: he's and he had been even before Evans got hurt
- 36:50Speaker 2: in key spots. I mean, he had kind of become
- 36:54Speaker 2: Baker Mayfield's go to guy, you know. And the Eagles,
- 36:57Speaker 2: in their preparation for this game, were away of it,
- 37:01Speaker 2: and Vic just decided, I'm going to put my best
- 37:03Speaker 2: guy on him. Uh, and he did, and it's Quinnon Mitchell.
- 37:07Speaker 2: And you know, here's the guy's only in his very
- 37:09Speaker 2: early in his second year. I think he's showing all
- 37:13Speaker 2: the signs of being you know that term a shutdown corner,
- 37:17Speaker 2: you know. I mean the Eagles, you know, haven't had
- 37:20Speaker 2: a guy like that in a while. I mean, they've
- 37:23Speaker 2: had some guys that came in and made big plays,
- 37:25Speaker 2: you know, by Tante Samuel is that way, big play,
- 37:28Speaker 2: slave was that way. I mean, it's got they got
- 37:31Speaker 2: the turnovers, they got the takeaways, they made those kinds
- 37:33Speaker 2: of plays. But to have a cornerback that you could
- 37:37Speaker 2: just put on the other team's best receiver and say,
- 37:40Speaker 2: we need you to shut this guy, We need you
- 37:42Speaker 2: to take this guy out of the game. I think
- 37:44Speaker 2: Quinnon Mitchell has already shown you he's that kind of plunder.
- 37:47Speaker 1: Yes, you know, Ray, as we sat off the top
- 37:49Speaker 1: of his podcast, we've yet to see this team play
- 37:51Speaker 1: a complete game, and yet here they sit it for
- 37:54Speaker 1: for no you know, the head coach, Nick Sirianti says,
- 37:57Speaker 1: we still have a lot to work on. All the
- 38:00Speaker 1: players across the board have said we still have a
- 38:02Speaker 1: lot to work on and figure out. Even a quarterback,
- 38:04Speaker 1: the franchise quarterback Jalen Hurts after the game. One of
- 38:07Speaker 1: the first things he said was we still have a
- 38:09Speaker 1: lot of things to work on. But then he adds
- 38:11Speaker 1: another little caveat in his dissertation when he says, you know,
- 38:15Speaker 1: a lot of the members who cover the media, you know,
- 38:18Speaker 1: are hounds for negativity. And I thought that was a
- 38:21Speaker 1: quite interesting quote. And Ray, I don't know, do you
- 38:25Speaker 1: think that we're too negative? And basically it's telling us,
- 38:28Speaker 1: hey to enjoy the ride. I mean we're unblemis We're
- 38:30Speaker 1: only one of two teams unblemished in the National Football
- 38:32Speaker 1: League for four weeks. And yet you people are complaining
- 38:35Speaker 1: more than you're applauding the fact that we're sitting here undefeated.
- 38:39Speaker 1: Do you think we in the media are hounds of negativity?
- 38:43Speaker 2: You know, I could see if I was on that side. Yeah,
- 38:47Speaker 2: if I was on their side, yeah, I would probably
- 38:49Speaker 2: feel that way. But I think you have to put
- 38:54Speaker 2: it in context. I think the people that are saying this,
- 38:57Speaker 2: the people that are saying, yeah, got a great record.
- 39:01Speaker 2: But I think I think I know, I am thinking
- 39:08Speaker 2: back just two years ago, thinking back to when this
- 39:11Speaker 2: team was ten and one. Yes, and and every week,
- 39:15Speaker 2: every week, everybody was saying, team, they find a way
- 39:21Speaker 2: to win ever out of a game. Uh, they they
- 39:26Speaker 2: always find a way to win. It's and it sounded
- 39:30Speaker 2: sounded good. But if you looked at the way the
- 39:33Speaker 2: games were unfolding, and you looked at the statistics, there
- 39:37Speaker 2: was a part of you that said, at least it
- 39:39Speaker 2: said to me, I don't I'm not sure this is sustainable,
- 39:43Speaker 2: you know, And I remember and that two years ago
- 39:48Speaker 2: when they beat Buffalo at the link to get to
- 39:53Speaker 2: ten and one. Yep. It was just crazy how they
- 39:59Speaker 2: did it. I mean, if you looked at like Buffalo
- 40:01Speaker 2: had like forty eight minutes of possession, I mean they
- 40:04Speaker 2: had like a three to one advantage in yourgage. I mean, statistically,
- 40:07Speaker 2: Buffalo dominated that game. The Eagles made some big plays,
- 40:10Speaker 2: got tied, won it and overtime, and it was it
- 40:13Speaker 2: was the same. You know, they they stay alive, they
- 40:17Speaker 2: always find a way to win. They're amazing there. It's
- 40:19Speaker 2: a miracle team. Well yeah, and they beat the Buffalo.
- 40:22Speaker 2: They beat a really good Buffalo team and they got
- 40:24Speaker 2: to ten and one. But I remember I remember sending
- 40:29Speaker 2: an email to Michael bart Can on the set because
- 40:33Speaker 2: I wasn't doing the show anymore, so I was so
- 40:35Speaker 2: I was home and I sent him an email. I said, Michael,
- 40:37Speaker 2: don't read this on the air, okay, but this is
- 40:40Speaker 2: just between you and me that this is not sustainable.
- 40:45Speaker 2: It's not And I said, if they play this way
- 40:48Speaker 2: next week against the forty nine ers, they're going to
- 40:51Speaker 2: get blown out. And sure enough, the next week, the
- 40:55Speaker 2: forty nine ers came in and blew them out, and
- 40:57Speaker 2: the whole season went yep. And so when people now
- 41:01Speaker 2: say I don't like the way this is going. And
- 41:05Speaker 2: you look at these numbers and they don't seem to
- 41:07Speaker 2: add up to me, And there's these there's this almost
- 41:11Speaker 2: kind of split personality thing about this team that and
- 41:19Speaker 2: people on the one side will say they're winning. What
- 41:20Speaker 2: are you? What are you complaining about? The people that
- 41:23Speaker 2: are sort of pointing this other stuff out like me
- 41:26Speaker 2: are saying, well, you were saying the same thing two
- 41:28Speaker 2: years ago, and look where that season went. I mean,
- 41:31Speaker 2: you teams that actually go on and win super Bowls,
- 41:34Speaker 2: win championships, and I mean they don't have those kinds
- 41:38Speaker 2: that they don't have that kind of schizophrenia to their
- 41:41Speaker 2: game right now. That's what Eagles games look like. They
- 41:44Speaker 2: have these crazy swings within the game. And I really feel,
- 41:50Speaker 2: and I think the coaches, even though they don't want
- 41:52Speaker 2: to say it, probably feel too. Is we have to
- 41:55Speaker 2: we have to work that stuff out. You know, we
- 41:57Speaker 2: have to come into games and play four solid We
- 42:00Speaker 2: have to come in and play four quarters of good football.
- 42:03Speaker 2: You know, we can't every week play two quarters and
- 42:06Speaker 2: find a way to win. Nice to say that, but
- 42:08Speaker 2: is that a way to win a championship? History would
- 42:11Speaker 2: tell you, it's not.
- 42:13Speaker 1: Well to steal a few of your words that you
- 42:15Speaker 1: just so eloquently stated a few moments ago. This team
- 42:20Speaker 1: has been amazing and the way it has arrived at
- 42:23Speaker 1: four no, they are a somewhat of a miracle team
- 42:27Speaker 1: as well. But yet they are a very perplexing team
- 42:31Speaker 1: and I can't wait to see what they come up
- 42:34Speaker 1: with to try to find a way to win this
- 42:36Speaker 1: next game against the Denver Broncos. So until we see
- 42:41Speaker 1: that game and get to talk about that game next
- 42:44Speaker 1: week for the Hall of Famer Ray Dinger, I'm Derek Gunn.
