Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Marx Somemore live from ther Life Back Studios.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Hey, it's Thursday already. That's good news. And it'll be
- 0:13Speaker 2: rained today and tomorrow. But it'll be a nice weekend. We
- 0:15Speaker 2: got a lot to get to. Jimmy Fayla coming up
- 0:17Speaker 2: in a few minutes. We'll get to FIFA, we'll get
- 0:20Speaker 2: to Crazy Kathy Hokle, and we'll get to Iran. Of course.
- 0:26Speaker 2: Now Graham Plattner has suspended his campaign. That means he's
- 0:30Speaker 2: ended the race. He's dropped out. When you leave and
- 0:33Speaker 2: you drop out, you say suspended. You don't say him,
- 0:37Speaker 2: I'm dropping out. You say suspended. Because if you actually
- 0:41Speaker 2: just quit drop out, all kinds of legal things kick in.
- 0:44Speaker 2: You gotta start returning money, all that stuff. If you
- 0:46Speaker 2: say you're suspending the campaign, you can hang on to
- 0:49Speaker 2: the money, and it makes it just easier to do
- 0:52Speaker 2: it that way. But when anybody says they're suspending the campaign,
- 0:56Speaker 2: they're out. I don't know if anybody ever suspended a
- 0:59Speaker 2: campaign and came back. So he's gone. Democrats have to
- 1:04Speaker 2: find a replacement.
- 1:04Speaker 3: Now.
- 1:05Speaker 2: Platner is given them a very hard time about this.
- 1:08Speaker 2: He wants to pick his replacement, which of course is idiotic.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Why would you want a Nazi rapist to pick your replacement.
- 1:18Speaker 2: It doesn't make any sense, but that's what he's trying
- 1:21Speaker 2: to do. He's holding up, holding up the Democrats, and
- 1:27Speaker 2: he's got this crazy guy, Morris Katz, who's a crazy
- 1:33Speaker 2: left wing political operative who has flown up to Morris
- 1:39Speaker 2: Katz was the main guy in the Mom Donnie campaign.
- 1:41Speaker 2: Left wing kook of a guy and a socialist, crazy
- 1:47Speaker 2: far left. He's up there trying to help Platner. They
- 1:52Speaker 2: know the campaign is over, they know he's out, but
- 1:55Speaker 2: he's trying to help Platner as they say. He says,
- 1:58Speaker 2: remain relevant and still have big influence in the campaign.
- 2:03Speaker 2: Maybe pick the replacement. It can also mean sometimes you
- 2:09Speaker 2: blackmail the party. Sometimes you'd get in their way so
- 2:11Speaker 2: that they have to buy you out. In other words,
- 2:14Speaker 2: they have to get you a big job somewhere, or
- 2:18Speaker 2: the leaders of the party, the big Democrats have to
- 2:21Speaker 2: find you a position, something to do. They can't just say,
- 2:24Speaker 2: you know, throw you in the garbage can. They got
- 2:26Speaker 2: to find something for you. But this guy, Morris Katz,
- 2:29Speaker 2: was the main guy in the Mom Donnie campaign, and
- 2:33Speaker 2: he was responsible for a lot of that social media,
- 2:35Speaker 2: which was brilliant. And he's also a weirdo, a pervert
- 2:40Speaker 2: in real life. He put out a book. This is
- 2:43Speaker 2: the main mom Donnie guy now helping out Platnir twoenty
- 2:47Speaker 2: twenty put out a book for young kids, for boys,
- 2:51Speaker 2: you know, ten year old boys. It was called Everything
- 2:53Speaker 2: you Always Wanted about Puberty and shouldn't be Googling for
- 2:58Speaker 2: boys ten to twelve. It was one hundred and twelve pages,
- 3:02Speaker 2: but just a perverted, weird book. He wanted to put
- 3:07Speaker 2: a picture of his penis in the book. Publisher objected
- 3:12Speaker 2: and just wouldn't do it. But this book features chapters
- 3:15Speaker 2: like your New Penis, The Magic of Masturbation. Could you
- 3:20Speaker 2: imagine writing this for ten to twelve year old boys?
- 3:23Speaker 2: Can you imagine a parent letting a kid read this?
- 3:25Speaker 2: Of course in crazy democratic world, who knows, But that's
- 3:29Speaker 2: the type of guy. This is just a total, absolute weirdo.
- 3:33Speaker 2: So he's up there doing something with Platner. Now everybody
- 3:38Speaker 2: is coming out against Platner. Tell him he's got to
- 3:41Speaker 2: get out. It was absolutely amazingly ridiculous predicament. Democrats got
- 3:46Speaker 2: themselves into. They thought they should get a working man,
- 3:51Speaker 2: a real American workingman.
- 3:53Speaker 4: Early.
- 3:53Speaker 2: That was a big part of the Democratic base, the
- 3:55Speaker 2: blue collar workers, the factory workers, the working men and women.
- 4:00Speaker 2: But Trump stole them all away. Now they're all Republicans,
- 4:04Speaker 2: they all vote Republicans. So they thought this would help
- 4:06Speaker 2: get them back. We'll get a real working man now. Unfortunately,
- 4:09Speaker 2: Plattner has never been a working man. He was a
- 4:12Speaker 2: spoiled prep school kid, claimed he was some sort of
- 4:15Speaker 2: oyster fisherman, although he never was. The only time he
- 4:18Speaker 2: ever fished any oysters out was for his mother's restaurant.
- 4:22Speaker 2: He's not a working man. This is what happens when
- 4:25Speaker 2: Democrats try to do something that's republican ish. They always
- 4:29Speaker 2: look silly. They get like this fake, ridiculous working man
- 4:33Speaker 2: who when people see him, they don't look at him, saying, oh,
- 4:35Speaker 2: he looks like a workingman. He looks like that crazy
- 4:38Speaker 2: killer in Cape Fear. He looks like an absolute, raging
- 4:41Speaker 2: psycho with a big Nazi tattoo right on his chest.
- 4:45Speaker 2: Got women saying that he raped them. Now, these are
- 4:48Speaker 2: the same Democrats they spent all these years calling Trump
- 4:51Speaker 2: a rapist. Trump is a Nazi, Trump is a rapist.
- 4:54Speaker 2: They just nominated a Nazi rapist, the guy who's raping
- 4:56Speaker 2: with a Nazi tattoo on him. By the way, you
- 5:00Speaker 2: can't call Trump a rapist. George Stefanopolis did that on
- 5:04Speaker 2: the air and it cost ABC sixteen million to settle
- 5:07Speaker 2: that lawsuit. So the problem is you got these communists
- 5:12Speaker 2: running now, actual communists. So Trump is going to have
- 5:16Speaker 2: to be this will be the issue of the midterm elections.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Every thought, well, affordability, it'll hurt the Republicans. Affordability will
- 5:25Speaker 2: be the issue. Now the issue is going to be
- 5:27Speaker 2: you want communists or you don't want communists. It's fighting communism.
- 5:31Speaker 2: We're all going to become Joe McCarthy. You used to
- 5:34Speaker 2: have to go to Vietnam to fight communism. Now you've
- 5:36Speaker 2: got to do it right here in this country. Now.
- 5:39Speaker 2: The thing with Joe McCarthy, he was trying to hunt
- 5:41Speaker 2: down trying to identify communists in the government. Well now
- 5:47Speaker 2: they campaign is communists. It's the campaign slogan. You know,
- 5:51Speaker 2: remember McCarthy. They get people that standing up, are you now,
- 5:54Speaker 2: have you ever been a communist? No? No, no, Now
- 5:56Speaker 2: they tell you they're a communists. It's crazy how this
- 5:59Speaker 2: is all change. So that'll be the mid term election.
- 6:02Speaker 2: It's suicidal for Democrats to be a communist. Now Platner,
- 6:09Speaker 2: who looks like a psycho. Now, he looks like the
- 6:11Speaker 2: guy in Cape Fear. If you're going to remake Cape Fear,
- 6:13Speaker 2: you'd get gram Platiner, and he talks like it. We'll
- 6:17Speaker 2: listen to him.
- 6:17Speaker 5: I know that some will think it's an admission of guilt,
- 6:19Speaker 5: and it most certainly is not. We're not doing it
- 6:22Speaker 5: because of the allegations. We're doing it because of the
- 6:24Speaker 5: structures that are being taken away from us by those
- 6:27Speaker 5: in power.
- 6:27Speaker 2: What the hell is he talking about? Well, obviously the
- 6:30Speaker 2: allegation came. You dropped out. Obviously, that's what it is.
- 6:32Speaker 5: We live in a political system that is not built
- 6:35Speaker 5: for normal people. It is a system that is built
- 6:40Speaker 5: structurally to make sure that movements like ours cannot flourish,
- 6:46Speaker 5: that if they begin to succeed, they can be crushed.
- 6:50Speaker 5: We live in a political system that is not built
- 6:53Speaker 5: for normal people.
- 6:54Speaker 2: You imagine the psychoapist Nazi is telling you you're not normal.
- 6:58Speaker 2: He's the normal one, You're the one that's crazy. His movement,
- 7:02Speaker 2: what was the movement? Everybody get Nazi tattoos? What was
- 7:06Speaker 2: the movement.
- 7:06Speaker 5: I learned about this through press inquiries with no time
- 7:14Speaker 5: to truly respond, no time for investigations, before a corporate
- 7:20Speaker 5: media system and the political establishment got to act as judge, jury,
- 7:27Speaker 5: and executioner.
- 7:29Speaker 2: The hell was he talking about? He learned about it
- 7:33Speaker 2: through media stories, no time to investigate. You were there?
- 7:40Speaker 2: What do you need to investigate? She says, she was
- 7:42Speaker 2: raped by you in a hotel room. You were there,
- 7:47Speaker 2: You were there, you know what happened. Well, you need
- 7:51Speaker 2: to investigate this further. You were there, of course, she says.
- 7:55Speaker 2: He was drunk out of his mind, so maybe he
- 7:56Speaker 2: doesn't remember it, but there were only two people in
- 7:59Speaker 2: the room. If you want to investigate, what could you
- 8:01Speaker 2: do if you don't remember? You got to ask her,
- 8:04Speaker 2: and she's already said, what you think. I learned about
- 8:07Speaker 2: it through media. You were there, You already knew about it.
- 8:10Speaker 5: So accusations are supposed to be the beginning of things,
- 8:14Speaker 5: not the end.
- 8:17Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, listen, if somebody came forward and said, Mitch
- 8:20Speaker 2: McConnell written, who'd believe it? But this psycho killer cape
- 8:24Speaker 2: fear looking guy, I believe it.
- 8:26Speaker 5: It has placed an immense amount of weight on me
- 8:31Speaker 5: as I think about what needs to happen.
- 8:36Speaker 2: Now, that voice, the way he talks. You know, if
- 8:39Speaker 2: you got a phone call from oh, doesn't think you
- 8:42Speaker 2: have a Rex human kind of sound. This is Rex Huerman.
- 8:47Speaker 2: I never heard him talk, but you would think he
- 8:49Speaker 2: sounds like this.
- 8:50Speaker 5: I just want you to think about, like what you
- 8:52Speaker 5: would do as a regular person in a position where
- 8:59Speaker 5: a much larger world, old large forces, we're working against
- 9:06Speaker 5: you personally to accuse you of the worst thing that
- 9:10Speaker 5: a person could do, and it was not remotely true.
- 9:17Speaker 2: All right, So he looks like a psychomedia and he
- 9:19Speaker 2: talks who the hell picked this guy? What you Democrats?
- 9:24Speaker 2: What the hell were you thinking? It's absolutely ridiculous.
- 9:27Speaker 5: We believe that for the movement to continue, it can't
- 9:35Speaker 5: be made. And for that reason, he's getting emotional. We
- 9:48Speaker 5: are suspending campaign operations.
- 9:49Speaker 2: Good, thank god, go away. And what movement is this?
- 9:53Speaker 2: The Nazi movement? I mean the big tattoo on your chest.
- 9:56Speaker 2: I would assume that's the symbol of the movement.
- 9:59Speaker 5: But we live in a political system that is not built. Yeah,
- 10:03Speaker 5: we heard that, all right, No, heres an one. We
- 10:05Speaker 5: are going to lose our ability to fundraise. We are
- 10:09Speaker 5: going to lose or ability to access voter data.
- 10:13Speaker 2: We are going to lose enough of this guy anyway.
- 10:17Speaker 2: Just a sick, weirdo Nazi rapist. This is who the
- 10:21Speaker 2: Democrats came up with. And what was this all about
- 10:23Speaker 2: to stop Susan Collins. You know, I don't know why
- 10:26Speaker 2: they got so crazy. Susan Collins is not a big
- 10:29Speaker 2: Trump supporter. She's not a maga, she's not a Trump
- 10:33Speaker 2: person at all. She opposes Trump most of the time.
- 10:36Speaker 2: It's pretty moderate, middle of the road kind of senator.
- 10:40Speaker 2: She'll win, she'll win reelection certainly. Now. I don't care
- 10:44Speaker 2: who the Democrats stick in. All the people are gonna
- 10:46Speaker 2: remember is they tried to put this psycho killer in there,
- 10:49Speaker 2: this rapist with the Nazi tattoo all over them. So
- 10:54Speaker 2: it's not going to work. You know, if you go
- 10:56Speaker 2: back six months or earlier this year or last year,
- 10:58Speaker 2: you saw Schumern team Jeffreys yelling and screaming about mega extremists,
- 11:04Speaker 2: mega extremists. They're the ones now that are the worst extremists.
- 11:09Speaker 2: You could be a socialist, a communist, you could have
- 11:11Speaker 2: a Nazi tattoo right on you. I mean, it's crazy,
- 11:16Speaker 2: you know, one thing about this socialism. Anytime, you know,
- 11:20Speaker 2: we've had socialism thousands of times all over the world.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Anytime socialism springs up, it's always always got anti Semitism
- 11:28Speaker 2: in it. You could, of course, you see it this
- 11:30Speaker 2: time with this unbelievable, horrifying anti semitism. But every time
- 11:35Speaker 2: socialism brings anti Semitism with it. It happened with the Nazis,
- 11:41Speaker 2: and you got to remember, with this anti semitism, maybe
- 11:45Speaker 2: you're not Jewish and it doesn't affect you the same.
- 11:48Speaker 2: You got to remember with the socialists, the anti Semitism
- 11:53Speaker 2: is only phase one, and then it's anti Catholic, and
- 11:57Speaker 2: then it's anti Christians. It always works that way. The
- 12:00Speaker 2: anti Semitism is always just round one. Hey you got FIFA.
- 12:08Speaker 2: I can't follow this. I just can't watch it. I
- 12:10Speaker 2: don't know what it is. Can't follow soccer. I like baseball,
- 12:15Speaker 2: I like football after the Knicks and now I like basketball.
- 12:19Speaker 2: But to watch guys play soccer, it's ridiculous. They like
- 12:22Speaker 2: play it in their little shorts with the knee socks.
- 12:25Speaker 2: It looks ridiculous. Nobody ever scores. You gotta wait forever
- 12:29Speaker 2: to get, you know, scores. One to nothing. So I
- 12:31Speaker 2: like that basketball ninety eight to ninety six. This is
- 12:34Speaker 2: like one to nothing. I don't know who the hell
- 12:36Speaker 2: these teams are. It's Uruguay versus Paraguay, Finland versus Norway.
- 12:42Speaker 2: Who the hell am I supposed to root for? And
- 12:44Speaker 2: it's all over a week from Sunday, right that's the finals.
- 12:48Speaker 2: Final game is a week from Sunday. Thank god, pack up,
- 12:53Speaker 2: get the hell out of America, go home. Too many
- 12:57Speaker 2: tourists all over the place, and right now it's something
- 13:01Speaker 2: I don't know. Every day it's something else that's a
- 13:03Speaker 2: quarter final. No, it's not final, playoff quarter or something
- 13:07Speaker 2: going on. It is an annoying sport. Every time they
- 13:11Speaker 2: tried in America did nothing. Remember years ago, what was
- 13:14Speaker 2: the New Jersey team was at the Cosmos? Remember that.
- 13:17Speaker 2: Years ago they thought soccer would take off. It didn't.
- 13:20Speaker 2: Remember Peley was the greatest soccer player and wooh, they
- 13:23Speaker 2: thought that would make it take off. It didn't. Never
- 13:25Speaker 2: took off. Why is it taking off now? Because the
- 13:28Speaker 2: country is flooded with people from other countries who grew
- 13:31Speaker 2: up on soccer, so they're all watching it. They are
- 13:34Speaker 2: filling up bars and restaurants and watching soccer like crazy.
- 13:40Speaker 2: Binge watching is dying. Can you figure out why binge watching?
- 13:45Speaker 2: You know that was the beauty of Netflix and streaming
- 13:48Speaker 2: and you could watch the whole season, or somebody tell
- 13:52Speaker 2: you about a show like you never saw a Yellowstone,
- 13:54Speaker 2: Well you go start watching Yellowstone.
- 13:56Speaker 5: Look at that.
- 13:57Speaker 2: Here's eighty five episodes you can binge watch. But streaming
- 14:01Speaker 2: companies reporting that binge watching is slowing down dramatically. Yeah,
- 14:08Speaker 2: binge watching is down about thirty to seventy percent, depending
- 14:12Speaker 2: on the streaming services. Some of these companies their internal data,
- 14:18Speaker 2: their studies. They think it has a lot to do
- 14:20Speaker 2: with TikTok and all sorts of stuff like that, because
- 14:25Speaker 2: TikTok has trained people to have shorter attention spans, and
- 14:30Speaker 2: YouTube is getting more and more popular. I basically only
- 14:33Speaker 2: watch YouTube. You can watch anything in the world on YouTube. Anything,
- 14:37Speaker 2: any show that was ever on television from nineteen forty
- 14:41Speaker 2: eight to now, it's all on YouTube. You can watch anything.
- 14:45Speaker 2: So people streaming companies all starting to realize it's not
- 14:50Speaker 2: a good idea to do the whole season and drop
- 14:52Speaker 2: a whole season at once, because people will just binge
- 14:55Speaker 2: watch it. Remember the show billions. They always insisted they
- 14:59Speaker 2: will not drop a whole season. They'll only release it
- 15:02Speaker 2: once a week, one episode a week. It creates an
- 15:06Speaker 2: anticipation and a momentum, and they were right. They were
- 15:10Speaker 2: the first to really stick to that, and now apparently
- 15:13Speaker 2: the streaming companies are doing that more and more and more.
- 15:17Speaker 2: No more one season at a time. Watch it as
- 15:20Speaker 2: a weekly show. They'll drop an episode a week. Binge
- 15:23Speaker 2: watching has people just got worn out on it? Hey,
- 15:26Speaker 2: we'll take some calls. Next. Eight hundred three two one
- 15:30Speaker 2: zero seven ten is the number. Eight hundred three two
- 15:33Speaker 2: one zero seven ten.
- 15:37Speaker 1: Get instant access to Mark by setting a freeset in
- 15:40Speaker 1: the iHeartRadio app for his live show and his podcast.
- 15:44Speaker 1: Now back to the Mark Simone Show ONR.
- 15:48Speaker 2: Hey, let's take some calls. Let's go to Bob and
- 15:52Speaker 2: santiego Bob, how you doing?
- 15:55Speaker 3: Hey? Mark, how are you? I'm a longtime listener. I
- 15:59Speaker 3: go back to days when you used to do the
- 16:01Speaker 3: Simon phone.
- 16:02Speaker 2: Well and looks we're still doing it.
- 16:03Speaker 3: Look at this, you still are. One of your greatest
- 16:08Speaker 3: bits I still laugh about it was you wear Somebody
- 16:10Speaker 3: at what they thought about euthanasia and their answer to
- 16:13Speaker 3: you was there's many of them and they're very politically motivated.
- 16:18Speaker 2: That's right. We used to do these men on the
- 16:19Speaker 2: street where we'd ask people questions like how do you
- 16:21Speaker 2: feel about euthanasia? And the guy would say, I think
- 16:24Speaker 2: they should stay over there and not come here.
- 16:25Speaker 3: And it was a great bit. And I'm friends with
- 16:29Speaker 3: Jay Diamond. I know Rich from Myrtle Beach made a
- 16:33Speaker 3: comment where.
- 16:33Speaker 2: Jay Diamond was on the radio for years. What is
- 16:36Speaker 2: Ja Diamond doing now?
- 16:38Speaker 3: I don't know what he does now, but you're friends
- 16:40Speaker 3: with him. Well, he doesn't do He really doesn't do anything.
- 16:45Speaker 3: He's the kind of guy stays up late at night.
- 16:48Speaker 3: I live in California, as you know, it's the truth.
- 16:54Speaker 3: But uh, you know at three in the morning. He'll
- 16:56Speaker 3: call me in our time at midnight, which is still
- 16:59Speaker 3: too late for me.
- 17:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:00Speaker 3: So we never seen together together to talk, but we
- 17:03Speaker 3: text a lot.
- 17:03Speaker 2: All right. Well that's uh, that's I'm glad. I'm glad
- 17:06Speaker 2: he's doing all right. But thanks.
- 17:08Speaker 3: I met him. Uh, I met him in the street
- 17:11Speaker 3: in our Chinese restaurant one day.
- 17:13Speaker 2: Well, this is one exciting story.
- 17:16Speaker 3: Well, I recognized this voice. I heard a guy arguing
- 17:18Speaker 3: with a waiter saying what's this? What's this on my bill?
- 17:22Speaker 3: And a waiter said, that's tax and he said, uh,
- 17:25Speaker 3: I didn't need any tax. I don't remember eating anything that.
- 17:28Speaker 2: Was the recognized Henny Youngman joke. Any young would always
- 17:31Speaker 2: get the bill looking I know the tax Oh wow.
- 17:34Speaker 3: Yeah. So I said, is your name Jay? And he said, yeah,
- 17:37Speaker 3: who are you? And I said, I was just listening
- 17:39Speaker 3: to you on the radio. Used to be on w
- 17:41Speaker 3: E B D.
- 17:43Speaker 2: Let me just say something to you, if you ever
- 17:45Speaker 2: playing Carnegie Hall or somewhere. Don't close with this story.
- 17:50Speaker 2: I need a better story. But anyway, thanks for calling.
- 17:53Speaker 2: Good hearing from you. Take care. Let's go to Mike
- 17:55Speaker 2: and Florida. Mike, how you doing.
- 17:59Speaker 6: Morning, Mark, that's my I just wanted to thank you
- 18:02Speaker 6: for two things you just said. One is that we're
- 18:05Speaker 6: music to my ears by the way. One was that
- 18:07Speaker 6: the soccer is going to be over a week from Sunday.
- 18:10Speaker 6: I can't wait. And the other was that you succinctly
- 18:13Speaker 6: called these guys communists.
- 18:16Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 18:16Speaker 6: I already hear the usual pundits and experts on the
- 18:20Speaker 6: conservative Republican side pumping all over the place. Well they're
- 18:23Speaker 6: not really communists. It's socialism.
- 18:25Speaker 2: But it's like God, socialism communists, it's exactly the same thing.
- 18:30Speaker 2: The only difference is, of course socialism is usually voted in.
- 18:33Speaker 2: Communists usually take it by revolution. But so you yes, yah,
- 18:38Speaker 2: I are in Florida, then I don't making it as
- 18:41Speaker 2: much fuss about soccer down there in Florida.
- 18:44Speaker 7: Uh.
- 18:44Speaker 6: There's place I go to every day for lunch, and
- 18:46Speaker 6: it's their promo that when they this promotion where it's
- 18:49Speaker 6: soccer and the games are usually there's just the TVs
- 18:53Speaker 6: are on and his music playing the games. The music
- 18:56Speaker 6: goes off, that's the volume. The audio comes on for
- 18:58Speaker 6: the games. What people are who can't speak English on
- 19:01Speaker 6: the panel explaining what soccer is, and then groups of
- 19:05Speaker 6: people come into the place, go crazy for ninety minutes
- 19:08Speaker 6: and then leave without paying sometimes and without so Unfortunately,
- 19:12Speaker 6: the place I go to, it's very concentrated on this
- 19:17Speaker 6: idiotic game.
- 19:18Speaker 2: All right, So we got a week from Sunday, soccer
- 19:20Speaker 2: will be over. We'll be done with it. Mike, great call,
- 19:23Speaker 2: Thanks for Colin. Let's go to Vincent and Brooklyn. Vincent.
- 19:26Speaker 2: How you doing.
- 19:27Speaker 4: Good morning, Mark, Good morning, Mara. Mark. You're a spot on.
- 19:30Speaker 4: When you talk about these commercial building convergence to residential buildings.
- 19:36Speaker 4: I know because I've converted commercial real estate into residential
- 19:43Speaker 4: real estate. And the big problem, as you pointed out,
- 19:47Speaker 4: is running the waist line. Because, as you pointed out
- 19:51Speaker 4: and your an I art, you have one bedroom down
- 19:54Speaker 4: on the floor, you have one waist line going up,
- 19:56Speaker 4: one waist line down going down. You have to have
- 20:01Speaker 4: waistlines for the kitchen, for the bedroom, and they have
- 20:04Speaker 4: to crisscross all over the place throughout the building. Then
- 20:08Speaker 4: in the cellar you're gonna probably have to change the
- 20:11Speaker 4: main waste lines that come out of the building, then
- 20:14Speaker 4: the ones that go underneath the sidewalk into the city street,
- 20:18Speaker 4: because they have an estimated volume per hour that they
- 20:22Speaker 4: could handle. That's why, for example, when it rains really heavy,
- 20:26Speaker 4: which I hope it doesn't do today in the residential
- 20:29Speaker 4: neighborhoods of New York City, after one and a half
- 20:32Speaker 4: inches an hour, it starts to back up, and then
- 20:34Speaker 4: you start to have all these problems. Now in these
- 20:38Speaker 4: resident these big office buildings that they convert, those waistlines
- 20:43Speaker 4: are double the size that let's say you have in
- 20:46Speaker 4: a brownstone or in a small, small tenement house. And
- 20:52Speaker 4: my attitude is unless I see it going up, I
- 20:56Speaker 4: want nothing to do with it. And just for the record, Steve,
- 21:01Speaker 4: talk about Manhattan real estate, don't talk about Brooklyn real
- 21:04Speaker 4: estate because you're out of your league. Pale. Although going
- 21:09Speaker 4: up there.
- 21:09Speaker 2: He's the real estate commerce for the New York Post.
- 21:11Speaker 4: He knows, yeah, but for for Manhattan and for a
- 21:14Speaker 4: seven area forever. Most of what he says, Mark doesn't
- 21:18Speaker 4: even fly over here.
- 21:19Speaker 2: Don't worry, he's fact checked like crazy.
- 21:22Speaker 4: No, he hasn't. Because all of the dirt avenue apartments
- 21:25Speaker 4: that's built on, all toxic soil over there, that's all
- 21:28Speaker 4: a condemned site.
- 21:30Speaker 2: We got to go for the news. But great call.
- 21:32Speaker 2: Thanks for calling. When we come back. The great Jimmy Fayla,
- 21:36Speaker 2: very funny, great comedian and talk show host. He'll be
- 21:38Speaker 2: with us next on seven to ten WR Mark.
- 21:42Speaker 8: Themone on seven ten WR.
- 21:48Speaker 2: Hey, Jimmy Fayla, the great comedian, the great talk show host.
- 21:51Speaker 2: He's on every night now on w R nine to midnight.
- 21:54Speaker 2: People love this show. I hope you're listening.
- 21:56Speaker 4: Good.
- 21:56Speaker 2: If you haven't listened, listened tonight any weeknight, nine to midnight.
- 22:00Speaker 2: Then on Saturday night. It does the best late night
- 22:02Speaker 2: show in television Saturday nights at ten Fox News Channel.
- 22:06Speaker 2: It's got the single finest monologue anywhere in television today.
- 22:11Speaker 2: President Trump's a big fan of the show. Jimmy Fayla,
- 22:13Speaker 2: how you doing yo.
- 22:16Speaker 8: I'm doing good.
- 22:17Speaker 9: Other than the fact that Mom Donnie just erased Little Italy.
- 22:20Speaker 10: Did you see that map?
- 22:22Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I forgot about that. Yeah. They put out
- 22:23Speaker 2: a map of all the ethnic neighborhoods. But somehow there's
- 22:26Speaker 2: no Little Italy.
- 22:27Speaker 8: No Little Italy.
- 22:28Speaker 9: There's no Irish enclave, there's no Jewish enclave. Mom Donnie
- 22:33Speaker 9: is turning New York into the Big Allah, Like, come on, man,
- 22:37Speaker 9: come on, come on here.
- 22:39Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, I mean, if you think of ethnic neighborhoods,
- 22:43Speaker 2: that is probably the single most famous, best known ethnic
- 22:46Speaker 2: neighborhood in New York, isn't it.
- 22:49Speaker 9: There's nothing cloth I mean, Little Italy was the first
- 22:52Speaker 9: little Like this is like if you a rap got
- 22:54Speaker 9: rid of Little Wayne.
- 22:55Speaker 8: Okay, Little Wayne was the first guy.
- 22:58Speaker 10: Okay, real, little Little Italy.
- 23:01Speaker 9: And again, it definitely sounds like some form of adversity,
- 23:05Speaker 9: And that's what I think is bothering a lot of
- 23:07Speaker 9: people because you know, Mom, Donnie represents the anti Columbus
- 23:11Speaker 9: wing and all.
- 23:12Speaker 8: Of that garbage.
- 23:13Speaker 9: So I'm a little worked up over here because you know,
- 23:15Speaker 9: I have a lot of Battalian relatives that are listening
- 23:18Speaker 9: to the show right now, assuming there's not a horse
- 23:20Speaker 9: race to fix, and I'm not gonna be smirch their honor.
- 23:23Speaker 2: You understand, Uh, you mustill spend a lot of time
- 23:28Speaker 2: in Little Italy as a food at a pizza.
- 23:30Speaker 9: Everything you've you've seen me, Mark, I look like I
- 23:33Speaker 9: get paid in Canoli's.
- 23:34Speaker 8: Of course, I've spent time in Little.
- 23:35Speaker 7: Italy, and you know, I uh, you know, it's funny.
- 23:39Speaker 9: Like when you start out as a comic in New York,
- 23:42Speaker 9: like Little Italy is actually where you spend a lot
- 23:44Speaker 9: of late night time because there's a lot of restaurants
- 23:46Speaker 9: that are open late night. So you do your sets,
- 23:48Speaker 9: you bomb for a couple of tourists, and you go
- 23:50Speaker 9: eat seven plates of pasta and tell yourself it's gonna
- 23:53Speaker 9: be okay.
- 23:54Speaker 8: And uh, you know that was that mattered to me.
- 23:57Speaker 7: So when I saw those masks like I don't really.
- 23:59Speaker 10: Get caught up in a lot of culture war garbage.
- 24:01Speaker 9: I'm still trying to get my money back from the
- 24:03Speaker 9: grand Platner campaign.
- 24:05Speaker 3: You know, I'm.
- 24:07Speaker 8: Kidding that dirt bag.
- 24:08Speaker 2: Hey, after calling Trump a Nazi, after calling Trump a rapist,
- 24:13Speaker 2: how the hell did they end up nominating this guy?
- 24:15Speaker 2: What were they thinking?
- 24:18Speaker 9: Yeah, it's so funny because they got to this point
- 24:21Speaker 9: where politics have become so emotional for the Democratic Party
- 24:25Speaker 9: that they're not listening to themselves, meaning.
- 24:28Speaker 8: They they to the rest of us.
- 24:30Speaker 9: Obviously, we had the same reaction. We were like, you
- 24:32Speaker 9: can't nominate a guy with a Nazi tattoo. They were
- 24:34Speaker 9: yelling that Pete Hegsath had a Nazi tattoo for ten
- 24:37Speaker 9: years and he didn't have one.
- 24:38Speaker 10: Okay, The cross on Pete heg Sath's chest is.
- 24:42Speaker 9: In the Church of England at the altar, which is
- 24:46Speaker 9: you know, hardly Hitler territory. Okay, Graham Flattner full Nazi Okay.
- 24:51Speaker 10: Obviously, every allegation.
- 24:52Speaker 8: Under the sun.
- 24:53Speaker 9: And listen, the fact that they thought they would get
- 24:56Speaker 9: away with like this level of double standard is not
- 25:00Speaker 9: shocking to me. But I love watching them now try to,
- 25:04Speaker 9: you know, do the gymnastics routine and act like this
- 25:07Speaker 9: was never a thing. And we knew he was a
- 25:09Speaker 9: flawed counted. You know, Elizabeth Warren's trying to claim that
- 25:12Speaker 9: she had reservations.
- 25:13Speaker 10: You know, Oh, good gosh, I got it.
- 25:18Speaker 9: I want to keep up with the group.
- 25:21Speaker 2: The fact that he looked like the crazy killer in
- 25:23Speaker 2: Cape Fear, well, why didn't that bother him?
- 25:29Speaker 10: It's so funny because I always i that that is the.
- 25:32Speaker 9: Greatest analysis of him I've ever heard, because I just
- 25:35Speaker 9: keep looking at him and he just looks like an
- 25:38Speaker 9: out of work Walrus with the mustache and the selling
- 25:42Speaker 9: oysters to his mom, and everything about him was fake.
- 25:46Speaker 9: And the point I'm trying to make everybody listening to
- 25:49Speaker 9: us right now.
- 25:50Speaker 7: Is the Republican Party is doing a lot.
- 25:52Speaker 8: Of things that drive me crazy.
- 25:54Speaker 9: Like I believe we should be passing a voter ID law,
- 25:56Speaker 9: and I don't think it's acceptable that John Zune's like,
- 26:00Speaker 9: we don't have the votes. There's nothing we can do. Yeah,
- 26:03Speaker 9: there is something you could do. Get off your ass
- 26:05Speaker 9: and go get the votes. That's what politicians traditionally did.
- 26:07Speaker 10: If you don't have it, you go get it, you
- 26:08Speaker 10: make a deal.
- 26:09Speaker 9: So believe me, I can criticize the Republican Party all day,
- 26:11Speaker 9: but the Republican Party is not making up people and
- 26:15Speaker 9: nominating them for office. I meaning Graham Platner was an
- 26:18Speaker 9: out of work loser, and in August of last year,
- 26:21Speaker 9: a couple of consultants decided to call him an oyster farmer.
- 26:25Speaker 8: They launched a campaign.
- 26:27Speaker 9: The campaign was launched before the oyster farming business was
- 26:31Speaker 9: and he didn't have a customer beyond his mother, because
- 26:33Speaker 9: that's who gave him the startup money. Like, they created
- 26:36Speaker 9: a fake guy. And then they said, oh, but this
- 26:38Speaker 9: fake guy with the Nazi tattoo, the sexual assault allegations,
- 26:42Speaker 9: the dating profile on the child ptador app, who likes
- 26:45Speaker 9: to shake hands with the governor in the men's room.
- 26:47Speaker 8: He openly said it.
- 26:49Speaker 7: This guy relates to the working class.
- 26:52Speaker 9: And I just keep saying, what jobs have they worked?
- 26:55Speaker 9: That that guy is the relatable guy at the company
- 26:58Speaker 9: Christmas party.
- 26:59Speaker 7: Now you gotta get to out here.
- 27:00Speaker 9: The Nazi tattoo guy who just got written up in
- 27:02Speaker 9: the New York Times for harassing women. Now it's a
- 27:04Speaker 9: big hit.
- 27:05Speaker 8: They love him.
- 27:05Speaker 10: It's crazy, man.
- 27:07Speaker 2: Yeah, how you said, you know, same thing with mom
- 27:09Speaker 2: Donnie who's never had a job in his life. Can
- 27:11Speaker 2: you mention you go to the interview. I see your
- 27:13Speaker 2: resume is blank. How did he keep come to the
- 27:15Speaker 2: mayor of New York with never having a job, never worked.
- 27:18Speaker 9: Yep, Because this is what's happening in the Democratic Party.
- 27:22Speaker 9: The donors are choosing the candidates, and the blanker the.
- 27:27Speaker 8: Slate, the better.
- 27:28Speaker 10: Like in theory, Mom, Donnie was a TikTok rapper.
- 27:31Speaker 9: That's real. He was wrapping on TikTok. But he has
- 27:35Speaker 9: that multi ethnic appeal they're going for, which is.
- 27:39Speaker 10: All class warfare, back to the.
- 27:40Speaker 8: Little Italy thing and it's all divisive garbage.
- 27:43Speaker 9: But essentially, the people who want socialist policies advanced are
- 27:48Speaker 9: out there, you know, pretty much just curating what they
- 27:51Speaker 9: think the perfect representative to sell the messages, and then
- 27:54Speaker 9: they attach a story to him.
- 27:56Speaker 7: This guy's up fighting for the working man.
- 27:59Speaker 10: I mean, Graham Black, I mean, come.
- 28:00Speaker 9: On, Graham platt Like if you wanted a review.
- 28:02Speaker 10: Of something on Netflix, Graham Plattner.
- 28:04Speaker 7: Looks like the kind of guy that's been home watching
- 28:06Speaker 7: all of it.
- 28:07Speaker 9: You know, Mom, Donnie's a dirt pick, okay. But these
- 28:10Speaker 9: people that are donating are choosing the candidate. That's why
- 28:14Speaker 9: even after Plattner dropped out. They had two hundred and
- 28:16Speaker 9: fifteen thousand people voting that main primary. They said six
- 28:19Speaker 9: hundred people are going to choose, so six hundred.
- 28:22Speaker 7: Donors are going to get together in a back room
- 28:25Speaker 7: and pick his successor.
- 28:27Speaker 9: Just the way they did that to Biden. Do you
- 28:28Speaker 9: remember Biden dropped out? Obama tweeted, we look forward to
- 28:31Speaker 9: a rigorous primary. Five minutes later, the White House tweeted
- 28:35Speaker 9: Kama of the goal, and we were like, wait, what's
- 28:38Speaker 9: amazing how that works?
- 28:40Speaker 2: Hey, I am so sick of this FIFA. I don't
- 28:43Speaker 2: care if I never see another soccer game. Is that
- 28:45Speaker 2: just me? Or does Anyboils feel that way?
- 28:47Speaker 3: No?
- 28:47Speaker 9: I am a one hundred percent so relieved that we
- 28:51Speaker 9: can quit pretending to care about soccer.
- 28:53Speaker 8: Now, Okay, I did it. I have a lot of
- 28:56Speaker 8: civic pride.
- 28:57Speaker 10: I love the country I was watching. But nothing happens.
- 29:01Speaker 8: Man, every soccer.
- 29:01Speaker 7: Game, if you just listen to the crowd, forget the game.
- 29:04Speaker 10: Every soccer game is like oh oh oh ah.
- 29:08Speaker 9: It reminds me of my first few times making.
- 29:11Speaker 10: Love to a woman.
- 29:12Speaker 8: Mark, Oh oh so close.
- 29:14Speaker 10: Oh you just missed a cowboy.
- 29:18Speaker 8: Oh that's soccer to me.
- 29:20Speaker 9: I just I don't listen to the game.
- 29:21Speaker 7: I listened to the crowd, and the crowd just it
- 29:23Speaker 7: doesn't sound like they're having fun.
- 29:25Speaker 8: Man, they don't.
- 29:27Speaker 2: Uh hey, Jimmy Fail. What the fourth of July weekend?
- 29:30Speaker 2: America two fifty? How did you spend it? It must
- 29:32Speaker 2: have been a tough weekend for you.
- 29:34Speaker 10: Oh, I was America point two fifty.
- 29:37Speaker 8: You know, I had some.
- 29:38Speaker 9: TV, some backyard barbecue and on Long Island. We weren't
- 29:42Speaker 9: on our show was not on the air because the
- 29:44Speaker 9: Fourth of July fireworks and the big Trump speech editor
- 29:46Speaker 9: on our time slot. So they when something serious is
- 29:50Speaker 9: happening in the news, they want me as far away
- 29:52Speaker 9: from the TV as possible, you know, because I'm like
- 29:55Speaker 9: a cable news rodeo clown. I'm making balloon animals, telling
- 29:58Speaker 9: dirty jokes on Saturday night. Today's one of the days
- 30:01Speaker 9: I do adulting. I fill in for Guttfeld on The
- 30:03Speaker 9: Five today.
- 30:04Speaker 2: Oh good.
- 30:04Speaker 9: So yeah, if you turn on the TV this week.
- 30:07Speaker 9: Next week you'll see me on the five. I look
- 30:09Speaker 9: like I'm six foot eight because I'm sitting in Greg's
- 30:11Speaker 9: booster seat, but you know, gives me a little extra
- 30:14Speaker 9: height on the air. But I'm not complaining. I need
- 30:16Speaker 9: all the help I can get.
- 30:18Speaker 2: It's great. He does such a great show Saturday nights
- 30:21Speaker 2: ten o'clock Fox News Channel, and people come be in
- 30:23Speaker 2: the audience. It's free when you tape. You tape it
- 30:26Speaker 2: Friday evening. How do they get the tickets?
- 30:29Speaker 8: Yeah, this Friday.
- 30:30Speaker 9: If you wanted to come by foxacross America dot com,
- 30:35Speaker 9: free tickets. Hang out in the studio audience. You'll meet
- 30:37Speaker 9: all the Fox people, the Fox Foxes. It's a good
- 30:41Speaker 9: fun hang and you know, we usually go out of
- 30:44Speaker 9: a drink after. I mean, you're really involved. It's like
- 30:46Speaker 9: you're with the band. If you come to one of
- 30:48Speaker 9: these tapings, you're very much with the band. It's a
- 30:51Speaker 9: great experience.
- 30:53Speaker 8: And the one thing I.
- 30:54Speaker 9: Will tell you about the Fox people is they they
- 30:57Speaker 9: hang out like they're friendly, you know, take pictures.
- 31:01Speaker 8: They're nice, they're happy to see you.
- 31:02Speaker 9: Like if you went to a CNN event or an
- 31:04Speaker 9: MSNBC event, they'd be like.
- 31:06Speaker 8: What do you want? Why are you here?
- 31:08Speaker 9: They don't talk to.
- 31:09Speaker 8: Each other, let alone you.
- 31:11Speaker 9: You know, like you think about Fox, we all do
- 31:13Speaker 9: each other shows. You can turn on TV at eight
- 31:14Speaker 9: in the morning on Fox and Friends. You'll see a
- 31:16Speaker 9: primetime host on the couch. Okay, they don't do that.
- 31:19Speaker 9: You're not going to turn on MSNBC and see Rachel
- 31:21Speaker 9: Maddow on Morning Joe. You know, two angry lesbians is
- 31:25Speaker 9: enough of that show. They don't need a third one.
- 31:27Speaker 2: That's a very good point. I was a Fox yesterday. Hey,
- 31:30Speaker 2: we hung out yesterday. Everybody hangs out there. It's fun there.
- 31:33Speaker 8: We all hang out. We were in the lobby yesterday
- 31:35Speaker 8: just hanging out.
- 31:37Speaker 2: Okay.
- 31:37Speaker 10: If I had a deck of cards, the security might
- 31:39Speaker 10: have played with us.
- 31:41Speaker 8: So it's a good vibe.
- 31:42Speaker 10: So if anybody wants to come, it's Foxacross.
- 31:45Speaker 8: America dot com.
- 31:46Speaker 2: If you want to get a date or you want
- 31:47Speaker 2: to bring somebody. It's very impressive taking the Fox News
- 31:50Speaker 2: to the studio and meet a lot of celebrities. But
- 31:53Speaker 2: don't tell them it was free. Act like you, act
- 31:55Speaker 2: like you're paid for it. So you go to Fox
- 31:57Speaker 2: across America dot com and get the tickets. Free tickets
- 32:00Speaker 2: there and tonight and every weeknight listen to him nine
- 32:04Speaker 2: to midnight on seven to ten w R. Who do you?
- 32:08Speaker 2: Who do you got to tonight?
- 32:10Speaker 9: Oh tonight, I'm told we're getting a Byron Donald sighting,
- 32:14Speaker 9: give me the next governor of Florida. So that's Little
- 32:17Speaker 9: b D Action and a couple of comedians that I'm
- 32:20Speaker 9: chumming with that I'm using on the show this week,
- 32:22Speaker 9: and Arenberg is going to be on.
- 32:24Speaker 10: John Colewell is going to be on, So it'll be fun.
- 32:27Speaker 10: But you know the whole point of my show is
- 32:28Speaker 10: to listen for three hours and go to bed thinking
- 32:30Speaker 10: you two could host a radio show. No, you're gonna
- 32:33Speaker 10: I delivered.
- 32:34Speaker 8: Its very empowering.
- 32:35Speaker 2: It's not just interesting stuff, but you will laugh, you
- 32:37Speaker 2: will have a great time. It's perfect to listen to
- 32:41Speaker 2: nine to midnight every weeknight right here on w o R.
- 32:44Speaker 2: Jimmy Falo, great stuff. Thanks for being with us.
- 32:48Speaker 8: You're the best.
- 32:49Speaker 2: Mark Well, all right, take care and don't forget to
- 32:52Speaker 2: Buck and Clay. They do a really good show every
- 32:54Speaker 2: day at twelve noon right here. And you know Curtis
- 32:57Speaker 2: Lee what is back? You can listen to Curtis now
- 33:00Speaker 2: every weekday morning. It's Curtis leewa Larry Mente right here
- 33:05Speaker 2: on seven to ten wor.
- 33:08Speaker 8: Mister New York marks them a w alm.
- 33:14Speaker 2: Hey, good for John Fetterman, the sane Democrat he is
- 33:19Speaker 2: pushing now, saying, Bernie Sanders must apologize to Maine, to
- 33:23Speaker 2: its voters for pushing this crazy communist, endorsing him, pushing
- 33:29Speaker 2: him on every he's the really, I mean, you know,
- 33:31Speaker 2: Elizabeth Warren, a lot of other Democrats guilty too, but
- 33:34Speaker 2: it was Sanders who was the first one pushing him
- 33:36Speaker 2: and hard. And had it not been for Sanders, this
- 33:40Speaker 2: guy Platner might not have taken off. But great for
- 33:44Speaker 2: Fetterman calling for that Donald J. Trump International Airport in
- 33:49Speaker 2: Palm Beach. Now the name change happened overnight. It's now
- 33:54Speaker 2: Donald D. Trump International Airport. Plenty of crazy left wing
- 33:58Speaker 2: Trump haters announcing they will not use the airport. They
- 34:01Speaker 2: will instead drive a couple of hours to another airport.
