- 0:00Speaker 1: He's now more marks alone on seventen.
- 0:03Speaker 2: War Hey, I got a lot to get to this hour.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Two of the healthiest guys I know, Donald Trump Warren
- 0:15Speaker 2: Buffett Trump almost eighty works day and night. You've seen
- 0:18Speaker 2: them in action. Nobody has more energy. He could be
- 0:21Speaker 2: in three four states in one day. He could just
- 0:24Speaker 2: go NonStop all day and night. This is at seventy nine,
- 0:27Speaker 2: eighty years old. And what does he eat all day? Junk?
- 0:31Speaker 2: He eats McDonald's. He eats cheeseburgers, he eats, drinks those milkshakes.
- 0:35Speaker 2: He eats nothing but junk all day now. Warren Buffett
- 0:40Speaker 2: ninety three, ninety four years old. This guy does not
- 0:43Speaker 2: eat anything except McDonald's. He said, breakfast at McDonald's, sausage
- 0:48Speaker 2: and egg sandwich from McDonald's every day of his life.
- 0:54Speaker 2: He eats McDonald's at night, or a steak. He eats
- 0:57Speaker 2: a lot of steak. He eats candy, sees candy which
- 1:01Speaker 2: is incredible candy. He bought the company years ago. Eats
- 1:05Speaker 2: dairy queen all the time. He bought the company years ago,
- 1:09Speaker 2: has peanut brittle for lunch, eats nothing but junk food.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Has the diet of a ten year old eats junk
- 1:16Speaker 2: day and night. He's ninety three, healthy as can be.
- 1:19Speaker 2: How does he do it.
- 1:22Speaker 3: Well?
- 1:22Speaker 2: One thing Buffett always says, he gets eight hours of
- 1:24Speaker 2: sleep every night, non negotiable. He said, you can worry
- 1:27Speaker 2: about diet, exercise, all that, but sleep eight solid hours
- 1:30Speaker 2: of good sleep every night more important for your health
- 1:33Speaker 2: than anything else. He reads, he works twelve hours a day,
- 1:38Speaker 2: just drinks diet coke like Trump, just drinks coke day
- 1:43Speaker 2: and night. That's all. He lives on his coke, which
- 1:45Speaker 2: is a lot of sugar and all that stuff. But
- 1:46Speaker 2: he said what keeps him young, And it's the same
- 1:49Speaker 2: thing with Trump. He loves his work, lives with like
- 1:53Speaker 2: childlike joy, no stress. Both these guys have tremendous stress,
- 1:59Speaker 2: but to them it's not ste Yes, they love what
- 2:01Speaker 2: they're doing, so it's not stress. You know, you go
- 2:03Speaker 2: out and buy a billion, four billion dollars worth of
- 2:06Speaker 2: a stock. There was a little stress in that, but
- 2:09Speaker 2: they don't feel it now. The only difference with Trump,
- 2:11Speaker 2: he doesn't sleep eight hours and night. He doesn't. But
- 2:13Speaker 2: and these this guy's as healthy as can be at
- 2:16Speaker 2: that age, So you can worry about diet and all
- 2:19Speaker 2: that stuff, but I don't know a lot of it
- 2:22Speaker 2: is at geneticus. Donald Trump made a big speech for
- 2:25Speaker 2: McDonald's executive yesterday. Speaking to McDonald's, he pointed out he
- 2:30Speaker 2: was the only fry cook ever in McDonald's history to
- 2:33Speaker 2: become president of the United States. He was the fry
- 2:35Speaker 2: cook there for about a half hour, but he was
- 2:37Speaker 2: speaking at McDonald's well.
- 2:38Speaker 4: Other politicians fly around on campaign planes stocked with expensive catering.
- 2:43Speaker 4: On Trump Force one prior to ascending to Air Force one,
- 2:48Speaker 4: which is quite a nice plane. Also, we served only
- 2:51Speaker 4: McDonald's almost every time. On occasion we couldn't find one,
- 2:55Speaker 4: which is pretty hard to believe we'd go another route,
- 2:58Speaker 4: but we really did. You fed us very well, and
- 3:00Speaker 4: I even got Bobby Kennedy to eat a big mac.
- 3:04Speaker 2: Well, don't feel guilty if you're eating the McDonald's. These
- 3:07Speaker 2: two guys as healthy as anybody, and that's all they eat.
- 3:10Speaker 2: Trump went on to talk about the you know this
- 3:14Speaker 2: big word, affordability, the crisis. That's a crisis. You know,
- 3:18Speaker 2: Biden had inflation of nine percent, Nobody mentioned it. Trump
- 3:21Speaker 2: gets it down to two point five percent. It's a
- 3:24Speaker 2: crisis all of a sudden, But Democrats won't let up.
- 3:27Speaker 4: Nobody has done what we've done in terms of pricing.
- 3:31Speaker 4: We took over a mess. We have the highest think
- 3:34Speaker 4: of it, the highest inflation in the history of our country.
- 3:36Speaker 4: They say, forty eight years. It was the history of
- 3:39Speaker 4: our country. And now we have normal inflation. We're going
- 3:42Speaker 4: to get it a little bit lower. Frankly, but we
- 3:45Speaker 4: have normal. We've normalized it. We have it down to
- 3:48Speaker 4: a low level. But we're going to get it a
- 3:49Speaker 4: little bit lower. We want perfection.
- 3:52Speaker 2: Yeah, Now, the cost of Thanksgiving, they always bring that
- 3:54Speaker 2: up this time of year. Walmart did that study.
- 3:56Speaker 4: Walmart came up last week and they announced that Thanksgiving
- 4:00Speaker 4: this year's twenty five percent less. All of the accoutrements
- 4:04Speaker 4: that Thanksgiving is twenty five percent less than was last
- 4:07Speaker 4: year under sleepy Joe Biden.
- 4:09Speaker 2: So now Democrats are arguing about that little Walmart's thing there.
- 4:16Speaker 2: They said that they switched the Thanksgiving dinner, they switched
- 4:20Speaker 2: certain things to generic versions, they had less items in
- 4:24Speaker 2: the thanks Even now, it's still I trust Walmart more
- 4:27Speaker 2: than I trust these crazy democrats. Scott Bessett, the Treasury secretary.
- 4:32Speaker 1: Because economic damage is unacceptable. It's they call it self harm.
- 4:38Speaker 1: They were willing to harm the economy of the United
- 4:41Speaker 1: States to benefit a party and chaos.
- 4:44Speaker 2: Yeah, now what he's talking about is the shutdown. You
- 4:48Speaker 2: could say, well, what did they accomplish with the shutdown?
- 4:50Speaker 2: They got nothing for it. They can find a cave
- 4:52Speaker 2: they got nothing. Well, some people think the master plan
- 4:56Speaker 2: was to screw up the fourth quarter. We're in the
- 5:00Speaker 2: fourth quarter and when the economic fourth quarter results come in,
- 5:03Speaker 2: they'll be a little less because of the shutdown. You
- 5:06Speaker 2: had disruption for a month or so, total disruption. And
- 5:12Speaker 2: they're worried that Democrats might try to do this every
- 5:16Speaker 2: quarter because you'll get the you know, if you show
- 5:18Speaker 2: four percent growth, that looks bad if you do the
- 5:20Speaker 2: shutdown and maybe you knock it down to three percent growth.
- 5:23Speaker 2: So they're worried they might try a shutdown every quarter
- 5:27Speaker 2: just to get the numbers down. That would be a
- 5:29Speaker 2: frightening thing. Mom Donnie takes over in I don't mean
- 5:36Speaker 2: it's scary you, but it's January first, it's like six
- 5:38Speaker 2: weeks from now, Mom Donnie takes over. He'll meet with
- 5:42Speaker 2: Trump before that. Hopefully Trump will get through to him
- 5:45Speaker 2: on some level. Mom Donnie talked about their big meetings.
- 5:48Speaker 5: The President ran a campaign where he spoke about he
- 5:52Speaker 5: promised to deliver cheaper groceries and promise to reduce the
- 5:54Speaker 5: cost of living. We are seeing his actions and out
- 5:57Speaker 5: of his administration of Washington leading to the exact opposite effect.
- 6:00Speaker 5: Forty Yorkers, and I will go to make the case
- 6:04Speaker 5: to the President and to anyone, frankly, that these are
- 6:07Speaker 5: the kinds of things we need to change.
- 6:09Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, actually yeah. Trump has a track record of
- 6:11Speaker 2: getting prices down. He's got the price of oil down,
- 6:13Speaker 2: He's got the price of many groceries down. He's got inflation,
- 6:16Speaker 2: which hit nine percent under Biden, down to two point
- 6:19Speaker 2: five percent. Biden's average inflation over the four years was
- 6:23Speaker 2: five percent. So Trump has cut it in half already,
- 6:27Speaker 2: and it'll go lower next year. You know, you can't
- 6:29Speaker 2: expect him to fix the whole thing in nine months,
- 6:32Speaker 2: ten months, whatever it is. It's going to take a year,
- 6:34Speaker 2: a year and a half to get it really really moving.
- 6:38Speaker 2: But mom, Donnie has no trackord of getting anything done. Now,
- 6:42Speaker 2: this meeting will be interesting. Trump is very good when
- 6:45Speaker 2: he's meeting a peer. You know, when an older CEO,
- 6:49Speaker 2: a guy who's been in business for many years. Trump,
- 6:52Speaker 2: you know, can negotiate with a guy like that. I
- 6:53Speaker 2: don't know how good he is with a young a junior.
- 6:57Speaker 2: I was gonna say a junior executive, but it has
- 7:00Speaker 2: never been an executive, a thirty four year old who's
- 7:02Speaker 2: never had a job, A thirty four year old, totally
- 7:05Speaker 2: inexperienced guy. It's hard to negotiate with a guy like that. Now,
- 7:13Speaker 2: a lot of the stuff he does when you go
- 7:15Speaker 2: to see him might not work on Mom, Donnie, Mom Donnie,
- 7:18Speaker 2: the crazy young socialist. You know, whenever you go to
- 7:20Speaker 2: see Trump, he shows you around. He shows you all
- 7:22Speaker 2: these fancy things. He shows you all these beautiful That's
- 7:25Speaker 2: one reason he put all that stuff in the oval office.
- 7:27Speaker 2: Whenever you come to see him, he likes to walk
- 7:29Speaker 2: you around and show you things. You know, he had
- 7:31Speaker 2: this actual copy of the Constitution on the wall and
- 7:35Speaker 2: he opens the curtain shows it to you. Or even
- 7:37Speaker 2: those paintings are those things on the desk, They're very
- 7:40Speaker 2: rare historical things. So he likes to show you stuff.
- 7:42Speaker 2: And that's how he starts every meeting. You know, it's
- 7:45Speaker 2: a half hour of show and tell with that stuff.
- 7:48Speaker 2: I don't know if Mom, Donnie, you know, he's not
- 7:52Speaker 2: exactly the most lover. He's not a great lover of
- 7:56Speaker 2: American history. I don't know if this stuff will resonate
- 7:58Speaker 2: with him. Adam's already squabbling with Mom Donnie about this
- 8:04Speaker 2: and that.
- 8:04Speaker 6: I think that when you talk about not doing business
- 8:08Speaker 6: with Israel, not willing to acknowledge that you're going to
- 8:11Speaker 6: march in Israeli Day parade, not being willing to state
- 8:15Speaker 6: you're going to come and visit Israel in other countries,
- 8:18Speaker 6: it sends the wrong message and he has to define that.
- 8:22Speaker 6: But I know those who are part of the DSA
- 8:25Speaker 6: and those who are marched in our streets saying horrific things,
- 8:28Speaker 6: that is a clear sign of anti Semitism to me.
- 8:31Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a big problem with Mom Donnie. There's no
- 8:34Speaker 2: arguing that one. But Eric Adams is in Israel as
- 8:37Speaker 2: we speak. He toured the tunnels where the hostages were
- 8:42Speaker 2: yesterday in Israel, making friends there, making deals. Probably there's
- 8:47Speaker 2: a lot of deals to be made there. He could
- 8:50Speaker 2: be useful in some ways, I guess. But this is
- 8:56Speaker 2: he's not a great lover of history and historical sites.
- 8:58Speaker 2: He's a lover of and dealing, And that's one reason
- 9:02Speaker 2: I think he's over there. He's away. You know, this
- 9:06Speaker 2: is his final six weeks in office. You think you'd
- 9:09Speaker 2: be here doing stuff, but he's basically it sounds like
- 9:12Speaker 2: a vacation. But after Israel tomorrow, next stop, who's Bekistan?
- 9:18Speaker 7: Now?
- 9:18Speaker 2: Either he's got the world's worst travel agent, Who's Bekistan?
- 9:23Speaker 2: Or more deals to be made over there wheeling and dealing,
- 9:27Speaker 2: or is what does Curtis call it? Whining, dining and
- 9:30Speaker 2: pocket lining something going on. You know, Adams will need
- 9:34Speaker 2: to make a lot of money when he leaves, and
- 9:36Speaker 2: you can do that. As an ex mayor. You can
- 9:41Speaker 2: become very valuable to certain interest groups who will pay
- 9:45Speaker 2: you to represent them in the city. You know, you
- 9:47Speaker 2: still know a lot of people in government. You can
- 9:48Speaker 2: make a lot of phone calls, you can be their
- 9:50Speaker 2: unofficial lobbyist. So I imagine that's what Adams is doing
- 9:54Speaker 2: over there. Epstein files no vote yet, We'll see what happens.
- 9:59Speaker 2: At some point they'll be released. The Democrats, I was
- 10:03Speaker 2: gonna say, they're gonna have to accept it, but they won't.
- 10:05Speaker 2: But at some point they're gonna have to accept that
- 10:07Speaker 2: there is no Trump scandal. They keep looking into the
- 10:10Speaker 2: Trump thinking there's some scandal they'll find that it would
- 10:14Speaker 2: bring him down. There is no scandal nothing, There was
- 10:19Speaker 2: no mortgage fraud, there was no any of this, There
- 10:22Speaker 2: was nothing. There's no scandal anywhere. He's the most investigated
- 10:26Speaker 2: man in the history of the world, and nobody has
- 10:30Speaker 2: found a damn thing. Now you might say, well, he's
- 10:31Speaker 2: convicted on seven hundred different convictions and none of them
- 10:34Speaker 2: are real. They're all getting tossed out one by one.
- 10:37Speaker 2: That whole Letitia James case is slowly but surely getting
- 10:40Speaker 2: tossed out. They keep delaying the appeals courts because they
- 10:43Speaker 2: know it's going to get tossed out. The Alvin braggcase
- 10:48Speaker 2: totally going to get tossed out. Nothing there. Our greatest
- 10:51Speaker 2: legal scholarship said, they still can't even figure out what
- 10:53Speaker 2: the charge is. The Egen Carrol case, that's a conviction,
- 10:59Speaker 2: but nobody in their right mind believes that story from
- 11:03Speaker 2: this woman who can't even tell you what year it
- 11:05Speaker 2: was when it happened. What was the other case, Oh, Georgia,
- 11:09Speaker 2: they're still proceeding with that. Fannie Willis has been removed
- 11:14Speaker 2: from the case, but nobody's taking that one too, seriously.
- 11:16Speaker 2: So there's no scandal. Yeah, Stormy Daniels. Maybe maybe it's
- 11:19Speaker 2: true he slept with the with the porn star strip
- 11:23Speaker 2: or whatever she was. Oh listen, if you're going to
- 11:27Speaker 2: throw people out because they cheated on their wife, you'd
- 11:29Speaker 2: lose everybody in Congress, you'd lose half the presidents. That's
- 11:33Speaker 2: everybody in Washington, DC. So there is no scandal. They
- 11:36Speaker 2: keep hunting for this, thinking there's something like a Ralph Cramton. Aha,
- 11:43Speaker 2: you're gonna show people and then they'll turn on Trump.
- 11:45Speaker 2: You're not going to find it. If there's a case
- 11:47Speaker 2: to be made against Trump, it's not with some scandal
- 11:51Speaker 2: they try. They're gonna try Epstein, and that's going to
- 11:53Speaker 2: be a massive failure for Democrats. Then they'll go I
- 11:58Speaker 2: guess when that fails, they'll go to Gallaine Maxwell. The
- 12:02Speaker 2: demand to know why she got transferred to a nice,
- 12:04Speaker 2: cushy prison, Well, if you talk to people in the
- 12:09Speaker 2: prosecuting or attorney business, they'll tell you, as a first
- 12:13Speaker 2: time offender for a nonviolent crime, she never should have
- 12:16Speaker 2: been in the other prison, the extremely bad violent prison.
- 12:20Speaker 2: First time non violent offenders don't go there. The type
- 12:23Speaker 2: of prison she's in now is where you would normally
- 12:25Speaker 2: get sent so they simply corrected the extremism of that court. Also,
- 12:32Speaker 2: a lot of experts will tell you she was over sentenced.
- 12:35Speaker 2: It's not supposed to be seventeen years, supposed to be
- 12:38Speaker 2: more like seven years for what she did. So at
- 12:41Speaker 2: some point they'll have to just give up on that,
- 12:42Speaker 2: but they never will. The other question you got to
- 12:47Speaker 2: remember is why didn't Biden release these files. Biden had
- 12:52Speaker 2: the Epstein files and he went through them. His Justice
- 12:55Speaker 2: department went through them for four years. They never found
- 12:58Speaker 2: anything on Trump they could use. They never released the files. Now,
- 13:01Speaker 2: some and if you ask people in the Biden misteries,
- 13:04Speaker 2: well why didn't you release the files, they'll tell you
- 13:07Speaker 2: that while we were still investigating Gallaine Maxwell. Yeah, but
- 13:11Speaker 2: that was year one. Then she got convicted. Well, we
- 13:14Speaker 2: thought there would be appeals, and if it's an appeal,
- 13:16Speaker 2: we can't release the file. Okay, that's year two three.
- 13:20Speaker 2: Why didn't you, Well, there might have been ongoing adjacent investigations.
- 13:24Speaker 2: We didn't want to come. It doesn't it doesn't pass
- 13:28Speaker 2: the smell test those explanations. Let me check and see
- 13:31Speaker 2: if Twitter is back there was a big internet outage.
- 13:34Speaker 2: Oh yeah, it looks like it's back. The cloud that
- 13:39Speaker 2: they used cloud Fare went out this morning. So if
- 13:42Speaker 2: your Twitter wasn't working or some of your websites, there
- 13:45Speaker 2: was a huge internet outage this morning. That's the reason. Hey,
- 13:49Speaker 2: next week is Thanksgiving. It's the week before Thanksgiving. I'm
- 13:52Speaker 2: starting to hear that Christmas music everywhere. I got to
- 13:55Speaker 2: go down the hall the light FM. Are they playing
- 13:57Speaker 2: Christmas music yet?
- 13:59Speaker 8: Oh?
- 13:59Speaker 2: It starts for the Christmas music right? Hey, who might argue?
- 14:04Speaker 2: It gets enormous, enormous ratings, unbelievable ratings. It's basically one
- 14:10Speaker 2: hundred and twenty five songs. There's one hundred and twenty
- 14:13Speaker 2: five big Christmas hits. They just rotate them over and
- 14:16Speaker 2: over again for a month and a half. But it
- 14:18Speaker 2: does very very well. Hey, we'll take some calls. Next.
- 14:22Speaker 2: Eight hundred three to two one zero seven ten is
- 14:26Speaker 2: the number. Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 14:31Speaker 2: Get hits and access to Mark by setting a freeset
- 14:34Speaker 2: in the iHeartRadio app for his live show and podcast.
- 14:38Speaker 2: Now back to the Mark Simone Show on wor. Hey,
- 14:43Speaker 2: let's take some calls. Let's go to Harry in Long Valley.
- 14:47Speaker 2: Where is Long Valley?
- 14:48Speaker 9: Harry, Well, it's not too far from Morstown, New Jersey
- 14:52Speaker 9: or Hackettstown.
- 14:53Speaker 8: Oh, okay, probably right in the middle. I was just
- 14:56Speaker 8: listening to This Morning, Mark and good morning. You're talking
- 14:59Speaker 8: about the epscene files, and there's another side of the
- 15:01Speaker 8: story which I just want to get your opinion on.
- 15:04Speaker 8: I know there the far left Democrats are looking for
- 15:08Speaker 8: something on Trump. There they o the Trump's arrangement syndrome.
- 15:12Speaker 8: But what about the far left party itself bringing this
- 15:16Speaker 8: to a head in Congress? They want it out right now?
- 15:19Speaker 8: Is it possible? And here's the point, is it possible?
- 15:22Speaker 8: They want to purge their own party of the older
- 15:29Speaker 8: like Schumer types.
- 15:31Speaker 2: Those are the types want they want to There are
- 15:33Speaker 2: types they're usually going to be in there. Yeah, you're right,
- 15:34Speaker 2: it's a good point. There's a lot of those old
- 15:38Speaker 2: elitist establishment Democrats in there that'll get wiped out. But
- 15:42Speaker 2: there's a lot of their donors in there. There's a
- 15:44Speaker 2: lot of big CEOs in there. There's no Trump in
- 15:46Speaker 2: these files. You're going to be very, very disappointed when
- 15:49Speaker 2: you see everything. Let's go to Richard in Granwich, Connecticut. Richard,
- 15:53Speaker 2: how you.
- 15:54Speaker 10: Doing, Hey, Mark, how are you today?
- 15:57Speaker 2: Good?
- 15:58Speaker 10: I just wanted to thank you very much for you
- 16:02Speaker 10: recommend it a while ago, the book.
- 16:04Speaker 2: Loved Johnny, Love Johnny Carson. We had the author on yesterday.
- 16:10Speaker 10: Oh you, oh man, I gotta I gotta rewind your
- 16:13Speaker 10: podcast yesterday I was out, but I wanted to thank you.
- 16:16Speaker 10: It is chock full of like the most fascinating stories. Uh,
- 16:22Speaker 10: even if you're not a Johnny Carson fan, but I
- 16:25Speaker 10: find myself reading again. I just loved the book and
- 16:29Speaker 10: I wanted to thank you for that. I mean all
- 16:31Speaker 10: the grudges that he had in his personal life, and
- 16:34Speaker 10: the backstage and the Wis and Ed McMahon and and
- 16:38Speaker 10: Sinatra and just I have not even finished with it yet.
- 16:42Speaker 10: It's like three quarters away done, and uh yeah, somehow
- 16:46Speaker 10: it makes my heart happy to read it.
- 16:48Speaker 2: No, it's quite a book. Everybody should get the book.
- 16:50Speaker 2: It's called Love Johnny Carson. It's by Mark Malkoff. It's
- 16:54Speaker 2: on Amazon. Just go get it. It's the latest and
- 16:57Speaker 2: the greatest book ever written about Johnny Carson. But you're right,
- 17:00Speaker 2: a million stories, You're that whole era of show you. Yeah,
- 17:05Speaker 2: I'm in the book in a lot of places. But
- 17:07Speaker 2: everybody get the book. It's called Love Johnny Carson, Love
- 17:11Speaker 2: Johnny Carson. Just go order it. You'll thank me. You'll read.
- 17:14Speaker 2: It's a little good Christmas present too for somebody. Let's
- 17:18Speaker 2: go to uh Patrick in Westchester. Patrick, how you doing fine?
- 17:21Speaker 9: Mark?
- 17:22Speaker 3: How are you today?
- 17:22Speaker 2: I'm good?
- 17:23Speaker 7: How are you good? Good?
- 17:24Speaker 8: Well?
- 17:25Speaker 3: We love listening to your show and I think you
- 17:27Speaker 3: have the best guests of anybody on radio. I just
- 17:30Speaker 3: wanted with thinking of an update on a past guest,
- 17:34Speaker 3: Michael Reedle, can you update us on what's new with him?
- 17:37Speaker 2: Uh, he's doing well. He's been in Florida a lot.
- 17:40Speaker 2: He's working on another book. Actually right, we should get
- 17:42Speaker 2: him back on the show sometimes. Good idea. Let's go
- 17:45Speaker 2: to Tony in White Plains. Tony, how you doing?
- 17:49Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 17:49Speaker 11: Good morning, Mark. I don't talk about this news Combe
- 17:52Speaker 11: the governor California. What a joke this guys. He leaves
- 17:56Speaker 11: the country. He's talking about the biggest hopes we ever had,
- 17:58Speaker 11: climate change. Meantime, California burned it down kind of, he's
- 18:04Speaker 11: responsible part of it. And the water situation and over there,
- 18:07Speaker 11: and Mark, can I say one more thing? You remember
- 18:10Speaker 11: the movies like in the fifties, you know, the black
- 18:12Speaker 11: and white and all that Newscombe. You know what it
- 18:14Speaker 11: reminds me of. You ever see a soda judge like
- 18:17Speaker 11: in a candy store with that paper hat on. That's
- 18:19Speaker 11: what it reminds you every time I see him on TV.
- 18:22Speaker 2: All right, well, thanks for calling. I hate to break
- 18:24Speaker 2: it to you. He's the front runner for twenty twenty eight.
- 18:27Speaker 2: And check historically, whoever's the Democrat front runner at this
- 18:31Speaker 2: point usually gets the nomination. But it's a long way off.
- 18:35Speaker 2: But you're right, he's he's slick. He's a salesman. He's
- 18:39Speaker 2: not a manager, just a salesman. California is a mess.
- 18:43Speaker 2: Even after those terrible fires. You know, ninety eight percent
- 18:46Speaker 2: of those people are not backing their homes yet. Because
- 18:48Speaker 2: Newsom is busy making podcasts and doing guest appearances, doesn't
- 18:53Speaker 2: have time to run the state. Let's go to Vincent
- 18:56Speaker 2: and Brooklyn. Vincent, how you doing.
- 18:58Speaker 7: Good morning, Mark, Good morning battle to them, fire Mark Mark.
- 19:01Speaker 7: In regards to the housing and affordability crisis, I don't
- 19:05Speaker 7: know who suggested that Donald Trump the idea of a
- 19:09Speaker 7: fifty year mortgage. Because I say this, I'm a senior citizen,
- 19:14Speaker 7: and I know a lot of seniors listen to your show,
- 19:17Speaker 7: because that is not a great idea. Most people don't
- 19:21Speaker 7: want to be paying off for mortgage in their senior years,
- 19:25Speaker 7: and even worse, have their children pay off their mortgage
- 19:28Speaker 7: in debts. Most parents, by the time they retire their
- 19:33Speaker 7: kids have grown, they want to sell their original house
- 19:36Speaker 7: that they raise, their family, cash out, take some profits,
- 19:40Speaker 7: and downsize to a smaller home, maybe in a low
- 19:45Speaker 7: tax state like Florida Tennessee. But that is not a
- 19:51Speaker 7: good idea at all, because if most people when if
- 19:55Speaker 7: they get married at twenty five, they're not even ready
- 19:58Speaker 7: to raise the down talking about if the house is
- 20:01Speaker 7: a million dollars, you got to put ten percent down.
- 20:04Speaker 7: You're talking about one hundred thousand dollars. That's going to
- 20:08Speaker 7: take them time to raise that money. They're gonna maybe
- 20:10Speaker 7: be in their their thirties unless they get help from
- 20:13Speaker 7: their parents. And so by the time when they pay
- 20:17Speaker 7: off a fifty year mortgage, you're lucky if you live
- 20:20Speaker 7: to eighty years old. And what happens like us happened
- 20:24Speaker 7: to some friends of mine in Italy, The people all
- 20:27Speaker 7: the way a couple of miles down the road, bought
- 20:30Speaker 7: houses years ago that they figured in their golden years,
- 20:34Speaker 7: they'd sell make some money on it, and downsize and
- 20:38Speaker 7: live out the rest of their life in style and class.
- 20:42Speaker 7: The neighborhood went down the toilet, like a lot of
- 20:45Speaker 7: neighborhoods are in New York, and they can't even get
- 20:49Speaker 7: half the original price they pay for it. Their style
- 20:54Speaker 7: is a.
- 20:54Speaker 2: Little doom and gloom. That does happen. But there's other
- 20:56Speaker 2: neighborhoods where you buy a cheap house and next thing
- 20:59Speaker 2: you know, years later it's the hottest neighborhood in the air.
- 21:01Speaker 7: But you don't pay mark, You don't pay all for
- 21:04Speaker 7: fifty year mortgage.
- 21:07Speaker 2: Most people, well, even if you had to pay it off,
- 21:09Speaker 2: you can, you can go sell it and still get
- 21:11Speaker 2: a profit.
- 21:12Speaker 7: And still and if you got a fifty year mortgage
- 21:15Speaker 7: and you're only get five years paid that mortgage, you
- 21:18Speaker 7: didn't even pay off all the interest on that. You
- 21:21Speaker 7: can't even get a lot of acquity added that because
- 21:24Speaker 7: most of it you didn't even pay off the interest
- 21:26Speaker 7: the first yea.
- 21:27Speaker 2: Well, Vin's a good point, no fifty year mortgage, but
- 21:30Speaker 2: he's just throwing out ideas.
- 21:31Speaker 7: That yeah, and it's a bad idea, all right, I
- 21:33Speaker 7: had a good idea.
- 21:34Speaker 2: Well you convinced me. All right, Well, a great call,
- 21:36Speaker 2: thanks for calling. Uh hey, when we come back, we'll
- 21:39Speaker 2: talk to the Dean himself, the greatest analyst of campaigns
- 21:43Speaker 2: and politics. Will get to Ed Rollins. Coming up next
- 21:46Speaker 2: on seven to ten wore.
- 21:48Speaker 4: The Mark Simone Show continues on seven ten woor.
- 21:54Speaker 2: Well, let's talk to the dean himself, Ed Rollins, the
- 21:57Speaker 2: greatest political analyst. I have always worked on a million campaigns,
- 22:00Speaker 2: run the biggest best campaigns ever, Ed Rollins, How you doing?
- 22:05Speaker 9: Good morning?
- 22:05Speaker 8: How are you?
- 22:06Speaker 2: I'm good. I'm looking at the President's schedule. I mean,
- 22:09Speaker 2: this guy used to be in New York having fun
- 22:11Speaker 2: all day. Now he's meeting with Saudi leaders. Who wants
- 22:15Speaker 2: to spend the whole day with these Saudi leaders? You've
- 22:17Speaker 2: been in these meetings? What do they do in these meetings?
- 22:21Speaker 9: Well, I think this is a Trump retirement fund for
- 22:23Speaker 9: his kids. The reality here is, you know, the Saudi
- 22:29Speaker 9: prince who's being treated like I have a state and
- 22:31Speaker 9: will be eventually when his father passed away, which could
- 22:33Speaker 9: be a year old, two years. But he seems to
- 22:38Speaker 9: be getting everything and not giving anything, you know, And
- 22:42Speaker 9: I sort of compressed her with the day today as
- 22:44Speaker 9: you see, the women who are victims of Epstein dominated
- 22:48Speaker 9: all the network network and all the cable news this
- 22:51Speaker 9: morning for a couple of hours, certainly will today. And
- 22:54Speaker 9: then you have this Saudi prince coming in here basically
- 22:57Speaker 9: is getting r F thirty five. He's going to buy them. Uh,
- 23:01Speaker 9: he's now gonna have the only jet kind of jet,
- 23:03Speaker 9: the super jet in the world with the Israelis, and
- 23:07Speaker 9: he's not giving us anything at this point in time. Us,
- 23:09Speaker 9: when you make a deal, you get something, They get something.
- 23:12Speaker 9: And the only thing I see is the President getting
- 23:14Speaker 9: at this point in time is the ability to be
- 23:17Speaker 9: a long term with facauts. I mean, it's certainly certainly
- 23:23Speaker 9: raises political issues that the Democrats will exploit. And I
- 23:26Speaker 9: look at everything from a political perspective.
- 23:28Speaker 2: And if we're good, if we're giving them these top weapons.
- 23:32Speaker 2: Shaudi's have a habit of sharing stuff with the Chinese,
- 23:35Speaker 2: don't they That's not good.
- 23:36Speaker 9: Well, they do, and the Russians and everybody else. And
- 23:39Speaker 9: the key thing in the past, whenever we sold our supergenses,
- 23:42Speaker 9: we always made sure that they don't get every part
- 23:45Speaker 9: of it. They don't get all the controls, all their
- 23:47Speaker 9: weapons systems, what have you. So I don't know what
- 23:49Speaker 9: the details are in these particular things. They have thirty
- 23:51Speaker 9: fives or is ready the only ones that have them
- 23:54Speaker 9: at this time. We've made some deals with the Polished
- 23:56Speaker 9: to sell some of them in the future, but we
- 23:57Speaker 9: haven't done that yet, So I just I just worry
- 24:00Speaker 9: about it. I just don't think it's a good deal
- 24:02Speaker 9: for us at this point in time, and I think
- 24:03Speaker 9: the timing of it is terrible. And every day the
- 24:05Speaker 9: time he is and we're not getting anything back at
- 24:09Speaker 9: this point in time.
- 24:10Speaker 2: So yeah, back to the Democrats. So they spending so
- 24:13Speaker 2: much time of this Epstein stuff, they're not focusing on
- 24:15Speaker 2: what you just brought up. They're going to miss this.
- 24:19Speaker 9: Well, I think they're going to miss the night. I
- 24:22Speaker 9: always worry about Republicans. I don't worry about the Democrats,
- 24:26Speaker 9: you know. I mean, at the end of the day,
- 24:28Speaker 9: if we do our job well, we can win campaigns,
- 24:32Speaker 9: and we're gonna have a terrible year next year if
- 24:34Speaker 9: we're not careful, if we don't improve on everything, re
- 24:37Speaker 9: Element can go back and look at everything that happened
- 24:39Speaker 9: to us last Tuesday and improve on those things. And
- 24:41Speaker 9: you know, obviously we could have a bad mid term,
- 24:44Speaker 9: nowhere near as bad as in the past. But you know,
- 24:46Speaker 9: we've got a handful of seats to the majority of
- 24:48Speaker 9: both the House of the Senate. If you lose ten
- 24:51Speaker 9: to fifteen seats, you know you're gonna look very tough
- 24:55Speaker 9: the last couple of.
- 24:55Speaker 2: Years here, Okay, butt's say six seven, eight months from now,
- 24:59Speaker 2: the economy is doing well, prices are down. Is that
- 25:02Speaker 2: all it takes or is it still tough?
- 25:04Speaker 9: Well, it's certainly, it's certainly be very beneficial. And this
- 25:07Speaker 9: you know, let's hope at this point in time, and
- 25:10Speaker 9: at the end of the day, you've got to go
- 25:12Speaker 9: out and make your case for why all this stuff
- 25:14Speaker 9: is good. And today, you know, in the presence doing
- 25:16Speaker 9: all this international stuff, which is all part of the job.
- 25:20Speaker 9: Don't take that away from them. But at the same time,
- 25:22Speaker 9: it becomes more of his interest, I think as it
- 25:26Speaker 9: is domestic. Domestic is what people are going to vote
- 25:28Speaker 9: on them, and whether we go to war with Venezuela
- 25:31Speaker 9: or any of the rest of it is certainly a
- 25:33Speaker 9: great distraction at Rolins.
- 25:35Speaker 2: Now you've been involved in this for years. Let me
- 25:37Speaker 2: ask you something, you ever see a crop of people
- 25:39Speaker 2: like this, mom, Donnie or AOC, these crazy left wing socialists,
- 25:43Speaker 2: although slick, charming, fast talking, have we ever seen a
- 25:48Speaker 2: period like this before where these guys were taken over?
- 25:51Speaker 9: No After after Watergate, the Democrats had a big year
- 25:55Speaker 9: in seventy four and they came back and they tried
- 25:57Speaker 9: to take a lot more power back to the Palace
- 26:01Speaker 9: and took us seventy eight years to come back. At
- 26:03Speaker 9: that point in time, people were saying, you know, we'll
- 26:05Speaker 9: never be another Republican come back to this. When Nixon
- 26:08Speaker 9: was housted, uh eight years later back in the White
- 26:11Speaker 9: House again. But you've got to have the right leaders,
- 26:14Speaker 9: the right people. I mean, to a certain extent, we've
- 26:16Speaker 9: got we've got a couple of real hard years in
- 26:18Speaker 9: this year, and we've got to make up some ground
- 26:20Speaker 9: on particularly after after that last week. If we were
- 26:24Speaker 9: losing Hispanic voters, losing may some male voters we got
- 26:27Speaker 9: last time president President had a magical election last time.
- 26:31Speaker 9: You can't take that for granted. You got to go
- 26:33Speaker 9: back and work make sure those people are for you.
- 26:36Speaker 9: And obviously the economy is critical. That's what people want.
- 26:38Speaker 9: And that's what you've got to make sure all your
- 26:40Speaker 9: time and it's just devoted there.
- 26:43Speaker 1: Uh.
- 26:43Speaker 2: You know, if you really analyzed the mayoral stuff, the
- 26:46Speaker 2: voting Mom, Donnie did not win the working class, the
- 26:50Speaker 2: blue collar working class. Most of the votes came from
- 26:52Speaker 2: the elitist over educated grass. Yeah yeah, young. So uh,
- 26:58Speaker 2: how do you how do you get those able to
- 27:00Speaker 2: see reality?
- 27:02Speaker 9: Well, you got to go out and talk to them.
- 27:04Speaker 9: I mean the reality of how you win in New York,
- 27:07Speaker 9: which is the key thing here is you got to
- 27:09Speaker 9: you gotta make sure you don't lose New York by
- 27:12Speaker 9: half a million votes, and you gotta win Westchester. You're
- 27:15Speaker 9: gotta win Nasa, you gotta win Suffolk.
- 27:18Speaker 7: Uh.
- 27:19Speaker 9: And you know you gotta make sure those people are
- 27:21Speaker 9: all in the game. Fully, there's a formula I you
- 27:25Speaker 9: can win it attack he did it. A lot of
- 27:28Speaker 9: did it for a long time. But it's not it's
- 27:31Speaker 9: not accidentally. You gotta go out to work hard and
- 27:32Speaker 9: make sure that all works hard in that state. Place
- 27:36Speaker 9: like Buffalo whatever. They used to be a very significant
- 27:39Speaker 9: vote for us, This half a million voter. When I
- 27:41Speaker 9: used to work for Jack Kemp, it was this chamber
- 27:43Speaker 9: on around for president. There are half a million more
- 27:45Speaker 9: people in Buffalo and those were the blue collar jobs
- 27:49Speaker 9: and what have you. We gotta go out and make
- 27:50Speaker 9: sure the blue collar voters are our voters. Got to
- 27:52Speaker 9: make sure the Hispanic progress we made the last election
- 27:55Speaker 9: that we can gain again. We didn't get it this
- 27:58Speaker 9: time and those two retermal election, but we've got to
- 28:01Speaker 9: make sure that those voters care about them and that
- 28:04Speaker 9: the way we're doing the immigration stuff, I think to
- 28:06Speaker 9: a certain extent, is not as smooth an effect that
- 28:09Speaker 9: those it should be.
- 28:10Speaker 2: Hey, you get these people that are Republicans are run
- 28:13Speaker 2: around yelling a Republican can never win in New York City.
- 28:15Speaker 2: A Republican now I'm hearing it for governor. Republican can't
- 28:18Speaker 2: win for governor. This is not helping anybody to keep
- 28:21Speaker 2: chanting this is it?
- 28:23Speaker 9: No, it's not. The reality is we can When we
- 28:26Speaker 9: had a point in time where we had had a
- 28:28Speaker 9: lot of Republicans here, we had attacking was governor for
- 28:31Speaker 9: twelve years, we had Giuliani as mayor, we had Tomorrow
- 28:35Speaker 9: as the center, and you know, we just have to
- 28:38Speaker 9: go out and execute them. And my senses, we just
- 28:42Speaker 9: haven't had a good plan. We just we just we
- 28:45Speaker 9: focused too much attention to the things that aren't no
- 28:47Speaker 9: matter to people. You have to go out and talk
- 28:49Speaker 9: to people, registered voters, the strong party, build a strong
- 28:52Speaker 9: party the next year, and decide where you're gonna get
- 28:56Speaker 9: your votes.
- 28:57Speaker 2: Yeah, that Republican Party in New York. Not a lot
- 28:59Speaker 2: of in for structure there and not a lot of manpower.
- 29:01Speaker 2: What can we do about that?
- 29:03Speaker 9: You got to get to raise money. Uh, and you've
- 29:05Speaker 9: got to basically make sure that people understand the value
- 29:08Speaker 9: of spending money beyond the the city. You got to
- 29:12Speaker 9: get say to Tassa, Suffolk, Westchester, upstate. Uh, that's how
- 29:18Speaker 9: you win stay wide here in New York.
- 29:20Speaker 2: Yeah, ed Ronins, we only got a minute left, mom, Donnie.
- 29:23Speaker 2: When he takes over, will he be a lot worse
- 29:25Speaker 2: than we thought? Will he be not quite as bad
- 29:27Speaker 2: as we thought?
- 29:28Speaker 9: What do you think he'll be worse than we thought?
- 29:30Speaker 9: Because the people people, well, the people who's gonna put
- 29:33Speaker 9: around him. Uh, you know, he's he's one guy, but
- 29:36Speaker 9: he's got a lot of power. But the people he's
- 29:39Speaker 9: gonna put he bring back with the blosild people, he's
- 29:42Speaker 9: bringing back a lot of people that, you know, it's
- 29:44Speaker 9: not like he's calling a sudden going to the business cometing
- 29:46Speaker 9: and say, hey, you give me your best and your
- 29:47Speaker 9: right is uh, today's going to his socialist friends and saying,
- 29:51Speaker 9: you know, you want a job in government. I think
- 29:53Speaker 9: he's made a good move. And hopefully Tissh will stay
- 29:55Speaker 9: as a police commissioner. But if she does, I don't know.
- 30:00Speaker 9: I've got a job to me, has the most important
- 30:03Speaker 9: job right now in the city.
- 30:05Speaker 2: Well, it round's great stuff. Thanks for talking with this.
- 30:07Speaker 2: We'll do it again, sir, all right, take take care. Hey,
- 30:11Speaker 2: don't forget. At noon it's Buck Sexton, Klay Travis. This
- 30:14Speaker 2: is a great show every day at twelve, then at
- 30:17Speaker 2: three o'clock. You got to most listen to radio show
- 30:19Speaker 2: in America, Sean Hannity. You got Jesse Kelly at six
- 30:22Speaker 2: and our new show is Jimmy Fayala every night nine
- 30:25Speaker 2: at midnight, a very funny, interesting, great show nine to midnight.
- 30:30Speaker 2: Tonight on seven to ten Wry.
- 30:33Speaker 8: Still Mark samone show on seven ten wr.
- 30:39Speaker 2: Well, hey, we're talking about Gavin Newsom. Before you know,
- 30:43Speaker 2: he's supposed to be the governor of California. It doesn't
- 30:45Speaker 2: have time for that though. He's running around making campaign appearances.
- 30:48Speaker 2: He's running around fundraising, he's running around doing podcasts. But
- 30:53Speaker 2: so far, you know, you have this terrible Palisades fires,
- 30:57Speaker 2: and so far more than seventy two percent of the
- 31:00Speaker 2: victims are still in temporary housing. This is quite a
- 31:04Speaker 2: while since those fires they destroyed seven thousand structures, killed
- 31:09Speaker 2: twelve people, Pacific Palisades, Malibu. He keeps trying to shift
- 31:16Speaker 2: attention away from the fires, but had seventy two percent
- 31:19Speaker 2: of those victims still in temporary housing now. At some point,
- 31:26Speaker 2: Mike Johnson is talking about in Congress possibly a subpoena
- 31:30Speaker 2: at a newsom to explain the total failure of his
- 31:35Speaker 2: state during the Palisades fires, why they failed on everything
- 31:39Speaker 2: as far as prevention, why they failed during the fires,
- 31:43Speaker 2: and why they have failed to get people back to
- 31:46Speaker 2: a normal existence. And it could be interesting watching him testify,
- 31:50Speaker 2: although he can be pretty slick. And you know, these
- 31:53Speaker 2: crazy Democrats, if you look slick and you're a fast talker,
- 31:57Speaker 2: they love what you're saying. Even though you got no resume,
- 32:01Speaker 2: never had a job, or you got a job and
- 32:04Speaker 2: you stink at it and you screwed up your state.
- 32:06Speaker 2: You got more people leaving California than any other state,
- 32:10Speaker 2: people voting with their feet and fleeing. So let's see
- 32:14Speaker 2: today at the White House President Trump with Saudi leaders MBS.
- 32:21Speaker 2: The controversial character. A lot of people don't like this meeting.
- 32:26Speaker 2: Hey Butler Pennsylvania, the shooter, Thomas Crooks stuff coming out
- 32:30Speaker 2: about his background. He was a raging nut anti Democrat
- 32:34Speaker 2: who became an anti Republican and then got real Trump
- 32:39Speaker 2: arrangement syndrome, and online was talking about assassination, talking about
- 32:43Speaker 2: political violence. I mean, it was pretty obvious if anybody
- 32:47Speaker 2: was watching this, something bad was going to happen. Another
- 32:50Speaker 2: total failure on the part of the Secret Service, the
- 32:53Speaker 2: FBI back then. Hey, we're out of time. I will
- 32:56Speaker 2: not be on cutload today. Change of plans. Change of
- 32:58Speaker 2: plans could be moved to another day, but don't go away.
- 33:01Speaker 2: Buck Sexton and Clay Travis with a very good show
- 33:04Speaker 2: coming up right after the news at noon, and then
- 33:08Speaker 2: at three o'clock you got Sean Hannity that's actually the
- 33:11Speaker 2: most listened to radio show in radio. And then at
- 33:15Speaker 2: six you got Jesse Kelly and we love this New
- 33:18Speaker 2: Jimmy Fayler Show. You got to listen to it tonight
- 33:21Speaker 2: nine to midnight. I'll be back tomorrow ten to noon
- 33:24Speaker 2: talk to you, then seven to ten wor
