- 1:54Speaker 3: mean to busy. He's busy. She's busy.
- 1:58Speaker 1: I mean the first option was like a month or
- 2:01Speaker 1: two maybe two months from now, and I was like,
- 2:03Speaker 1: well that's far away, so I don't know if anything
- 2:05Speaker 1: will come up, but yeah, put her on. But luckily
- 2:08Speaker 1: we got her. She you know her as Jillian Harris.
- 2:11Speaker 1: She was on Jason Mesnick season and then she was
- 2:15Speaker 1: the Bachelorette season five. So welcome Jillian Harris.
- 2:20Speaker 3: Jilly Bean.
- 2:22Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, so good to see both of you.
- 2:26Speaker 3: So good to see you too.
- 2:28Speaker 4: Thanks for having me, Thanks for coming.
- 2:32Speaker 1: It was hard to get to you. You're a busy lady.
- 2:35Speaker 4: You know, we're getting married finally this summer, and we
- 2:40Speaker 4: have a new puppy.
- 2:44Speaker 1: What I saw, that's true, it's true.
- 2:51Speaker 3: Look at that little beauty.
- 2:52Speaker 4: Oh you are pressious new kitten, and the kids are
- 2:56Speaker 4: out of school and I'm still working, so it's been
- 2:59Speaker 4: a bit crazy this year, this summer.
- 3:02Speaker 2: I'd say, so, well, we were just talking about you,
- 3:05Speaker 2: how you have always been so sweet and just such
- 3:08Speaker 2: a wonderful breath of fresh air.
- 3:10Speaker 3: And then of.
- 3:11Speaker 2: Course the slippery goose he's out there, he's doing his thing,
- 3:14Speaker 2: which we all love. Justin and I mean, congratulations on
- 3:17Speaker 2: the upcoming nuptials.
- 3:19Speaker 4: Took me thirteen years to really be sure. See this
- 3:22Speaker 4: is the wrong, this is wrong with me on the Bachelor.
- 3:25Speaker 4: You have like thirteen days. I need like thirteen years.
- 3:30Speaker 4: I mean, I.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Will say, though, you're going to give yourself some grace
- 3:33Speaker 1: because you guys were supposed to get married during COVID, Rightyeah.
- 3:37Speaker 4: I wanted to. I wanted to cancel before COVID, like
- 3:40Speaker 4: I was the happiest COVID ride. I was like, God,
- 3:44Speaker 4: Hans pandemic, I could cancel my.
- 3:51Speaker 1: So before you came on, I introduced you and and
- 3:56Speaker 1: I just said, if people don't look up to you,
- 3:58Speaker 1: they should, because girl, you are so freaking amazing, like
- 4:03Speaker 1: so successful, so someone that I truly honestly look up
- 4:07Speaker 1: to from the franchise and just a normal life as
- 4:09Speaker 1: a friend. But I you are just I mean a
- 4:14Speaker 1: force to be reckoned with mom soon to be wife,
- 4:18Speaker 1: but a fiance up to that, and not just a
- 4:20Speaker 1: human mom. But you had to And I'm so sorry
- 4:24Speaker 1: about Nacho, but yeah, of course. But now this cute
- 4:29Speaker 1: little baby chero, Oh my gosh, I'm so glad. Oh no,
- 4:35Speaker 1: thank you. But we haven't written three books and do
- 4:40Speaker 1: a blog and have a super successful you done, I know,
- 4:45Speaker 1: but I just.
- 4:47Speaker 4: Do other things. But thank you so much, you know. Yeah. Always,
- 4:50Speaker 4: Like I always tell my mom and dad, I'm like,
- 4:52Speaker 4: we're only on this planet once. Like, I got a
- 4:53Speaker 4: lot to do. Like there's no guarantee that we're gonna
- 4:57Speaker 4: get reincarnated or go to heaven or all these other
- 4:59Speaker 4: things we're talking. But I want to make sure I
- 5:02Speaker 4: do all the things I need to do in my
- 5:04Speaker 4: short time on this planet.
- 5:05Speaker 1: So well, you're getting a lot of it done.
- 5:07Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, you are.
- 5:08Speaker 2: You're getting some mileage're getting your steps in, as they say,
- 5:11Speaker 2: Uh yeah, that's pretty great.
- 5:13Speaker 4: Okay, wait, how old have you guys been? How long
- 5:15Speaker 4: has this blog been? Uh? Going on? For her?
- 5:18Speaker 2: So the almost famous uh, the almost famous things started
- 5:21Speaker 2: with Ben and Ashley, and then iHeart and Sugarman approached
- 5:26Speaker 2: us to do the almost famous ogs where we would start.
- 5:30Speaker 2: You know, we weren't so much about the current events, right,
- 5:33Speaker 2: We were a little bit more about some stuff that's
- 5:35Speaker 2: that's had some time to see, some.
- 5:40Speaker 3: Real deals.
- 5:41Speaker 2: So it's been a lot of fun because you know,
- 5:43Speaker 2: we've touched base with so many people that we've met
- 5:45Speaker 2: over the years and you know, just loved from the
- 5:48Speaker 2: show and from all the other things that they've done.
- 5:50Speaker 2: But how many years just I mean, we got to
- 5:52Speaker 2: be a few years in by now, right what three years.
- 5:54Speaker 1: And I was literally just telling someone about it. They
- 5:57Speaker 1: were like, oh, tell me about the podcast, and I
- 6:00Speaker 1: I feel like it's been more than because we've moved
- 6:03Speaker 1: into our house in a year and a half ago.
- 6:06Speaker 1: It's been at least a year before that, so it
- 6:09Speaker 1: almost three years, maybe four years. I don't know something
- 6:12Speaker 1: like that.
- 6:12Speaker 4: I'm so out of touch with podcasts, And it's so
- 6:15Speaker 4: funny because I do a lot of I'm a guest
- 6:17Speaker 4: on a lot of podcasts. People always say I sh
- 6:19Speaker 4: have my own podcast, but I just it's just never happened.
- 6:22Speaker 4: But I know, don't take offense. But I tried to
- 6:25Speaker 4: listen to podcasts, but I think I have a very
- 6:28Speaker 4: undiagnosed extreme case of ADHD, and so I can't even
- 6:33Speaker 4: listen to you to like justin, he knows that whatever
- 6:36Speaker 4: he has to say that he has to get it
- 6:38Speaker 4: out in like thirty seconds otherwise, like looking even.
- 6:42Speaker 1: My staff, is that one of the secrets to your relationship?
- 6:45Speaker 1: You just he knows.
- 6:46Speaker 4: It's the secret as to why it's taken us a
- 6:48Speaker 4: wone to get married. Even our staff they joke that
- 6:52Speaker 4: if I'm on to call for more than thirty minutes
- 6:54Speaker 4: that I start shopping on anthropology. So anyways, I'm not uh.
- 7:00Speaker 4: I we get invited to some podcast too, and I'm like,
- 7:02Speaker 4: I don't know, is this fake? Is this real?
- 7:04Speaker 1: I don't know?
- 7:05Speaker 4: Anyways, I was like, yes, I'm in I know.
- 7:09Speaker 1: I do. I actually wrote Caitlin a thing because she's
- 7:12Speaker 1: good friends with Christian Cavaliery.
- 7:15Speaker 4: I got invited to this one to me too.
- 7:17Speaker 1: When I sent it to her and I was like,
- 7:19Speaker 1: is this legit? Can you ask her? Because I don't
- 7:22Speaker 1: think it's legit and I need to confirm And she
- 7:25Speaker 1: said no, those things come all the time, So don't
- 7:27Speaker 1: always sends people.
- 7:29Speaker 4: My two favorites, Chelsea Handler and Kelsey the what's her name,
- 7:36Speaker 4: the sister, the sister in law.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Travis Kelsey's yes, yes, yes, and my was like.
- 7:47Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, you got invited and I was like,
- 7:49Speaker 4: this is fake, Like that's so I know. But we've
- 7:55Speaker 4: got each other. We've got each other. That's all.
- 7:58Speaker 3: Use us as your mouth piece. We got you covered.
- 8:13Speaker 1: Well, we're totally getting into the wedding. We're totally getting
- 8:16Speaker 1: into the wedding. And we have some bachelor obviously related
- 8:19Speaker 1: questions current relations, but we want to get into back
- 8:25Speaker 1: in the day. So obviously you came in I think
- 8:28Speaker 1: third on Jason seasoned right, and then you went on
- 8:30Speaker 1: to be Bachelorette and you and Edward together, and you
- 8:35Speaker 1: come off the show and hello, tabloids. We all know it.
- 8:39Speaker 1: We're all on the cover of tabloids. And the tabloids
- 8:42Speaker 1: were a thing back then. It really isn't a thing now.
- 8:47Speaker 1: But I feel like you walk into a grocery store
- 8:49Speaker 1: and your your face is plastered all over the every
- 8:51Speaker 1: single magazine and all that people are saying is that
- 8:55Speaker 1: he has girlfriends that are not you and help chaos like, like,
- 9:02Speaker 1: describe to us how that was coming off of the
- 9:05Speaker 1: show and having to see all those tabloids and probably
- 9:09Speaker 1: maybe even finding out tell us finding out about the
- 9:12Speaker 1: girlfriends through the tabloids.
- 9:14Speaker 4: Well, I have to be careful because the last time
- 9:16Speaker 4: I spoke about Ed was when we came together, remember
- 9:19Speaker 4: the Bachelorette reunion. Yes, I felt like it was fairly complimentary,
- 9:23Speaker 4: like I gave the cold work based on what everybody.
- 9:26Speaker 4: But I got a scathing email from him, like I'm
- 9:28Speaker 4: talking like a ten pager, and I was like, wait
- 9:33Speaker 4: a second, weren't you the one that was terrible to me? Like,
- 9:36Speaker 4: I don't think you get to tell me what I
- 9:37Speaker 4: can say or not say. But anyways, I just didn't respond.
- 9:39Speaker 4: And I honestly wish him the best. He's got a
- 9:42Speaker 4: beautiful wife and a beautiful baby. Oh my gosh, I
- 9:45Speaker 4: sometimes creep because the baby's so cute. I got to
- 9:47Speaker 4: see what she looks like and how she's growing up. Anyways,
- 9:51Speaker 4: so I wish him no harm like I, but like, yeah,
- 9:54Speaker 4: that was this very very traumatizing time. And to his
- 9:59Speaker 4: to his defense, being on the show is a mind,
- 10:03Speaker 4: it's a total mind. And he asked to be on
- 10:06Speaker 4: the show, he got recruited, and he did have girlfriend
- 10:10Speaker 4: uh at the time, which, by the way, I've had
- 10:13Speaker 4: I've had multiple I've did multiple people before too. That
- 10:15Speaker 4: doesn't make him a monster. But I think that he
- 10:19Speaker 4: just thought it was going to be a fun adventure.
- 10:21Speaker 4: I don't think that he thought that I was going
- 10:24Speaker 4: to fall in love with him and that he might
- 10:26Speaker 4: have feelings for me. And I think that he was
- 10:27Speaker 4: just like holy and as you know, once you get
- 10:30Speaker 4: to the end, your life has just exploded, Like you
- 10:33Speaker 4: don't even recall what was happening back home because you're
- 10:37Speaker 4: being jetted everywhere, You're at these fancy mansions, you're dealing
- 10:41Speaker 4: with big wigs at ABC, you're on you're on the
- 10:44Speaker 4: Ellen Show. Like it is so hard to stay grounded.
- 10:48Speaker 4: So I don't fault him for any of that, but
- 10:52Speaker 4: it doesn't matter. Just the whole scenario was so traumatic
- 10:55Speaker 4: because in my little Jilly Hart, I started to cry.
- 10:59Speaker 4: But like I just wanted I just wanted somebody to
- 11:02Speaker 4: love me, and I had like had such I just
- 11:05Speaker 4: wanted to have I wanted I wanted a relationship, and
- 11:08Speaker 4: I wanted babies, and I'd been a heartbroken so many times,
- 11:11Speaker 4: and I was sort of like, what is wrong with me?
- 11:14Speaker 4: I know what's wrong with me. I'm thirty forty five.
- 11:17Speaker 4: I know it was wrong with me, but anyways, I
- 11:19Speaker 4: just didn't see it back then, and I was just like,
- 11:22Speaker 4: I'm actually writing a memoir. I'm writing a book like
- 11:25Speaker 4: from the Times a little Girl, and I've really been
- 11:28Speaker 4: able to unpack some of the like trauma from my
- 11:32Speaker 4: whole life. And I think when that happened, I just
- 11:35Speaker 4: felt like failed again. Like I felt like I'm always
- 11:39Speaker 4: looking even though my parents did their best, like that
- 11:42Speaker 4: was hard. So I just felt like my whole life
- 11:44Speaker 4: I could never had that one person that would just
- 11:45Speaker 4: like take care of me. And I just was convinced
- 11:49Speaker 4: that Ed was the one, even though looking back, no
- 11:51Speaker 4: he wasn't, but like I just I had convinced myself,
- 11:55Speaker 4: and so when that happened, I was like, great, here
- 11:58Speaker 4: I am again, just humiliated again, failure again. So it
- 12:02Speaker 4: was just embarrassing and it just sucked. And it's not
- 12:04Speaker 4: really Ed's fault. It's just we put ourselves in that position.
- 12:08Speaker 4: He had a life before, I had trauma and heartaches
- 12:11Speaker 4: that he didn't know about before. And actually the show
- 12:16Speaker 4: I don't know if you guys have talked about this
- 12:18Speaker 4: with any of your past clients, but they really give
- 12:19Speaker 4: you such a vigorous psychological testing before you go on
- 12:22Speaker 4: the show. I don't know if they still don't do that.
- 12:25Speaker 4: But after my psychological testing, which is like a test
- 12:28Speaker 4: a book like this big, they actually brought me a
- 12:32Speaker 4: psychologist and they said that they want me on the
- 12:35Speaker 4: show because they feel that I would be good entertainment
- 12:38Speaker 4: and I have all the qualities they're looking for besides
- 12:41Speaker 4: the ones that Mike Flais doesn't like, which is a
- 12:43Speaker 4: raspy voice, Canadian short, no boobs, you know. But other
- 12:46Speaker 4: than that. Other than that, they wanted me on the show.
- 12:50Speaker 4: But they were really worried about my emotional capacity if
- 12:55Speaker 4: I were going to be heartbroken, because somewhere in those
- 12:57Speaker 4: psychological tests they saw that I was very fragile. And
- 13:02Speaker 4: when I don't know if I'm allowed to say all this,
- 13:05Speaker 4: but when Jason dumped me, they actually flew that same
- 13:09Speaker 4: psychiatrist psychologist to New Zealand to bring me home because
- 13:12Speaker 4: they were so afraid of how heartbroken I would be.
- 13:17Speaker 1: That is the first time I've ever heard that.
- 13:20Speaker 2: Home that's actually can I honestly, this is like one
- 13:25Speaker 2: time where I will actually defend the show a little bit.
- 13:28Speaker 3: That's amazing that they did that.
- 13:30Speaker 4: That would have been expensive, like first, yeah, yeah, that
- 13:32Speaker 4: would have been very expensive to hire her, to pay her,
- 13:35Speaker 4: to pay for her room and all that kind of stuff.
- 13:37Speaker 4: So anyways, it was very traumatic. But I do say
- 13:42Speaker 4: everything happens for a reason. I always talked to Justin
- 13:44Speaker 4: and the kids about maintaining an abundance mindset, and when
- 13:48Speaker 4: you have an abundance mindset, you really have to believe
- 13:50Speaker 4: that even the shittiest times are there to build you
- 13:53Speaker 4: up and set you up for success. And so, yeah,
- 13:58Speaker 4: it sucked, and I was like after that moment, I
- 14:01Speaker 4: think I was like ninety two pounds and I was
- 14:04Speaker 4: very unwell. But I'm stronger because of it. And yeah,
- 14:10Speaker 4: I don't know. I think I just I have more
- 14:12Speaker 4: compassion because of it, and I have no regrets. I
- 14:17Speaker 4: wouldn't picked somebody else. I would have had fun read
- 14:19Speaker 4: and I had so much fun in the time that
- 14:21Speaker 4: it lasted, Like when we were good, we had a
- 14:23Speaker 4: good time. Yeah he was a funny, fun guy, Like yeah,
- 14:27Speaker 4: you know he was.
- 14:28Speaker 3: I love your attitude, Yeah, I do.
- 14:30Speaker 2: Too, because you can you can take you know, And
- 14:32Speaker 2: I do think sometimes the show puts so much pressure
- 14:35Speaker 2: on the success of that relationship, and you know, the
- 14:38Speaker 2: Tristan and Ryan's of this world are very few far between, right,
- 14:40Speaker 2: I Mean when you look at.
- 14:42Speaker 3: The track record of the success.
- 14:43Speaker 2: Of the show in that mindset of what you know
- 14:46Speaker 2: the success would be, there's very few people. And it's
- 14:50Speaker 2: like it is kind of hard because you come through
- 14:52Speaker 2: it thinking that you're a loser. I mean I went
- 14:54Speaker 2: I went through the same thing, not as bad. I
- 14:56Speaker 2: mean I didn't.
- 14:58Speaker 3: I feel like for me, it was one of the
- 15:00Speaker 3: those things.
- 15:00Speaker 2: Where I was not expecting it to work, and then
- 15:03Speaker 2: when it would all of a sudden be working, I'd
- 15:05Speaker 2: be like, oh my god, this isn't this isn't gonna last,
- 15:07Speaker 2: you know.
- 15:07Speaker 3: Or whatever. I almost was like self sabotaging totally.
- 15:10Speaker 2: But I can I can totally relate to that because
- 15:12Speaker 2: I feel like, especially when you come off of that
- 15:14Speaker 2: and having the history that you had had previously, walking
- 15:17Speaker 2: into the grocery store and seeing, you know, seeing your
- 15:19Speaker 2: face on the cover of a tabloi with a rip
- 15:21Speaker 2: down the middle does not do you any favors.
- 15:23Speaker 4: Yeah, you know there was a rip down the middle
- 15:25Speaker 4: good memory.
- 15:26Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, well I had.
- 15:28Speaker 2: The same cover, so I remember, unfortunately a couple of
- 15:32Speaker 2: times for me.
- 15:32Speaker 4: A couple of times on that you know what Ryan season.
- 15:37Speaker 4: It was so much more wholesome back then, Like I
- 15:41Speaker 4: think it's gotten a little bit, you know, raunchy or
- 15:43Speaker 4: whatever and social media media and whatnot. Yeah. So, and
- 15:48Speaker 4: you know, Bobby said something about like being a loser.
- 15:50Speaker 4: One of the things I tell the kids all the
- 15:52Speaker 4: time is we're all we're all losers. Can't be winter.
- 15:55Speaker 4: Can't be winter all the time, Like you can't be
- 15:57Speaker 4: weird moments. You're just going to be a loser. And
- 16:02Speaker 4: you's got to sit with that and not find a
- 16:03Speaker 4: way to make it funny.
- 16:05Speaker 1: So true, humor saves everything. It does, unless unless you're
- 16:14Speaker 1: in the midst of a broken heart, and then you
- 16:15Speaker 1: need a psychologist. Yes, I'm glad you had that. You
- 16:22Speaker 1: Did you stay in touch, like with that psychologist? Did
- 16:25Speaker 1: you meet with them after the show?
- 16:27Speaker 4: Never saw her ever again, Probably shouldn't have. But my
- 16:31Speaker 4: whole Canadian American thing was always very difficult for me
- 16:35Speaker 4: because I actually the show had me on as a
- 16:39Speaker 4: contestant without actually figuring out like what if I won?
- 16:43Speaker 4: Because once I once ED and I were engaged, and
- 16:46Speaker 4: I went to go move to Chicago, like not even
- 16:48Speaker 4: knowing anything about immigration. I got a border by somebody
- 16:52Speaker 4: who knew me on the show and she's like, no,
- 16:55Speaker 4: you're not moving to Chicago. And I'm like, what do
- 16:56Speaker 4: you mean. She's like, yeah, I'm wait for you to
- 16:59Speaker 4: come through. She's like, you need to be married, you
- 17:01Speaker 4: need to. So ABC had no choice. The had to
- 17:04Speaker 4: hire an immigration lawyer to the actually did a really
- 17:08Speaker 4: good job. They had an immigration lawyer and invested thousands,
- 17:11Speaker 4: tens of thousands of dollars to make sure that I
- 17:14Speaker 4: could actually live with Ed. And I had to find
- 17:17Speaker 4: then remember I found a job on Extreme Makeover Home
- 17:20Speaker 4: Edition and they kind of sponsored me improved that there
- 17:24Speaker 4: was nobody else like me in the United States.
- 17:27Speaker 3: So what that that basically got you a work visa.
- 17:29Speaker 4: That got me a visa. Yeah, and I may famed
- 17:32Speaker 4: that work visa for just up until like before COVID, But.
- 17:36Speaker 3: Now I, wow, that's awesome. You're done.
- 17:40Speaker 1: You're just going to travel here whenever you need to.
- 17:42Speaker 4: You don't need via exactly. Yeah.
- 17:45Speaker 1: Yeah, Okay, So back to ed you obviously got engaged
- 17:59Speaker 1: you I had the ring. We're interested to know what
- 18:03Speaker 1: happened with the ring because we know like Ali got
- 18:06Speaker 1: to keep her ring after calling off the engagement, and
- 18:09Speaker 1: like Estella, she sold her ring after her and Bob
- 18:12Speaker 1: broke up and I was just talking to her our producer.
- 18:15Speaker 1: I don't know that i'd want to keep the ring
- 18:17Speaker 1: if I was not engaged to the guy, so I
- 18:19Speaker 1: would totally sell it.
- 18:20Speaker 4: Yeah, we have it downstairs and or say you do wow.
- 18:24Speaker 4: And here's why I wanted to keep it. That moment
- 18:28Speaker 4: signified such a huge moment in my life. It signified heartbreak,
- 18:33Speaker 4: it signified growth, it signified like a huge step in
- 18:36Speaker 4: my career. I don't think I would have found Justin
- 18:39Speaker 4: without that, like that experience. So I don't know what
- 18:43Speaker 4: we're ever going to do with the ring. But what
- 18:45Speaker 4: I told ABC is I want to you to loot
- 18:48Speaker 4: me in with Neil Lane, and I want to see
- 18:50Speaker 4: from Neil that he actually wants the ring back. If
- 18:53Speaker 4: Neil actually wants the ring back, then fine, I'll give
- 18:56Speaker 4: it back. But if he doesn't, I'll pay for it
- 18:59Speaker 4: or you can. I'm down to rip it out of
- 19:01Speaker 4: my cold hard hands, Like, it's just like who actually
- 19:05Speaker 4: wants the ring back?
- 19:06Speaker 1: Who actually?
- 19:07Speaker 4: And they know that I tried so hard to make
- 19:09Speaker 4: that relationship work and it wasn't because I didn't want
- 19:13Speaker 4: it make it work. I'm like, just like at least yeah, yeah,
- 19:17Speaker 4: oh yeah.
- 19:18Speaker 2: So I had always heard and I don't know if
- 19:21Speaker 2: you've heard this, Trista or if you've heard this, Jillian,
- 19:23Speaker 2: but that they called it the Guinea rule, and.
- 19:27Speaker 3: That if because after Istellas sauld it and made a
- 19:31Speaker 3: lot of money off of it. By the way they.
- 19:33Speaker 2: Made the Guinea rule that you had to keep you
- 19:35Speaker 2: had to stay together.
- 19:37Speaker 3: I thought it was at least a year to keep
- 19:41Speaker 3: the ring.
- 19:41Speaker 2: Otherwise you had to give it back, and they have
- 19:43Speaker 2: a file cabinet full of them.
- 19:45Speaker 4: By my time, it was three years because Ed and
- 19:46Speaker 4: I had been together for a year. Yeah, I don't
- 19:49Speaker 4: want it three years?
- 19:50Speaker 3: Wow?
- 19:52Speaker 1: So did you end up paying for it?
- 19:53Speaker 4: They didn't make me pay for it? No, but they did.
- 19:55Speaker 1: They didn't.
- 19:56Speaker 4: He did. Who wasn't It wasn't Rob Mills. It was
- 19:58Speaker 4: the other lawyer. I think he was also a raw
- 20:01Speaker 4: I think it was Aylor lawyer. Anyway, he did send
- 20:05Speaker 4: me a huge thing of what I can and can't
- 20:07Speaker 4: do with it, and to me, I didn't really care
- 20:10Speaker 4: at that point, and it's kind of ugly and it
- 20:13Speaker 4: was kind of looks like a football ring offense to
- 20:15Speaker 4: Neil Lane, I don't know. And we have enough jewelry
- 20:20Speaker 4: now that it's like, I think we'll just meet as
- 20:24Speaker 4: a family heirloom. Mummy did this crazy thing, and this
- 20:29Speaker 4: is the ring from that.
- 20:30Speaker 1: That's funny, you know, it's funny. I have my engagement
- 20:33Speaker 1: ring that was a Harry Winston in my safe too,
- 20:36Speaker 1: and I'm just like, I'll just keep it and if
- 20:39Speaker 1: Blakeslee wants it, or we want to make it into
- 20:42Speaker 1: a necklace someday, or Max wants to give it to
- 20:45Speaker 1: somebody he asked to Mary, Great, then he can do that.
- 20:49Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, those are the days. Well, I'm glad you
- 20:54Speaker 2: got to keep that because you deserved it.
- 20:56Speaker 3: I mean, you were and we've often.
- 20:58Speaker 2: I think we met for the first time at the
- 21:01Speaker 2: Janner wedding.
- 21:02Speaker 3: Yeah, right at the Jade and Tanner wedding.
- 21:04Speaker 4: I just was looking of that reason.
- 21:06Speaker 2: It's so fun and I love that big group picture
- 21:09Speaker 2: of all of us.
- 21:09Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, it was so funny.
- 21:11Speaker 2: We came away from that in Canyon, my wife was like,
- 21:14Speaker 2: I just feel like Jillian Harris and I would be
- 21:16Speaker 2: best friends.
- 21:17Speaker 3: I'm like, I know.
- 21:18Speaker 4: I was pregnant. You know I was pregnant?
- 21:20Speaker 3: Then yes, No, I didn't know that.
- 21:22Speaker 4: No, I don't know if I was pregnant. So I
- 21:24Speaker 4: wasn't drinking at the Janner wedding. Now you think Kenyan
- 21:27Speaker 4: loved me, then how about billionaires drinking? Because I am
- 21:32Speaker 4: a whole new level of like, I'm like jillionaires times
- 21:36Speaker 4: one hundred.
- 21:37Speaker 3: Times one hundred. Oh my god, that's so awesome. Well
- 21:40Speaker 3: we'll have to see that. We'll have to see that. Yes,
- 21:42Speaker 3: I'd like that very much.
- 21:43Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, okay, so one of the biggest pieces of
- 21:48Speaker 1: news lately in Bachelor Nation. Oh, before I get to that,
- 21:51Speaker 1: do you watch the show anymore?
- 21:53Speaker 4: I don't. And it's not because I don't like it.
- 21:55Speaker 4: It's my ADHD. I don't know. I think I don't
- 21:58Speaker 4: know when this started. And two our kids are at
- 22:01Speaker 4: this age that first of all, we have to put
- 22:04Speaker 4: them to bed still, this is so embarrassing, but they're
- 22:07Speaker 4: almost nine and seven, and we stopped to lay down
- 22:09Speaker 4: with both of them to go to bed and there's
- 22:12Speaker 4: such night owls that by the time they fall asleep,
- 22:14Speaker 4: I'm going to bed, like I'm yea calling people with them,
- 22:17Speaker 4: or I go to bed and then while they're awake.
- 22:20Speaker 4: Justine's actually quite strict as to like what he allows
- 22:23Speaker 4: our kids to like consecuod for him, I'm not. I'm
- 22:27Speaker 4: like last night Annie and I fell asleep looking at
- 22:29Speaker 4: the anatomy of a vagina because I was explaining to
- 22:31Speaker 4: her that the vagina is actually the whole in the middle,
- 22:33Speaker 4: it's not the labia. So that's what like, I'm super
- 22:38Speaker 4: super super open, but Justin would not allow our kids
- 22:41Speaker 4: to watch.
- 22:43Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, Justin needs to give me some lessons.
- 22:46Speaker 2: I So I'm the you and canyons, the Justin Yeah,
- 22:49Speaker 2: And I'm just like like, She'll be like, I won't
- 22:52Speaker 2: know that she has told the boys this. Maybe no,
- 22:54Speaker 2: there's no YouTube, you know nothing, and they'll come in
- 22:57Speaker 2: and go, hey, daddy, can we watch YouTube on your phone.
- 22:59Speaker 3: I'm like, gosh, sure you go.
- 23:01Speaker 2: And then I'm in the doghouse for like the better
- 23:03Speaker 2: part of a week trying to claw my way out.
- 23:06Speaker 3: So I need some lessons on how to how to
- 23:08Speaker 3: strip it up a little bit.
- 23:09Speaker 4: A very common conversation around our house is just insane
- 23:11Speaker 4: to me, What the hell are you thinking, I'm like.
- 23:15Speaker 3: Because.
- 23:18Speaker 1: I wasn't thinking. I was just doing. Oh I love that.
- 23:25Speaker 1: Oh my gosh. So you're going to be the one
- 23:27Speaker 1: having the birds and bees conversation like I.
- 23:28Speaker 4: Did with exactly exactly.
- 23:31Speaker 1: Yeah, okay. So one of the biggest pieces of news
- 23:34Speaker 1: lately is that they're going to be redoing or renovating
- 23:39Speaker 1: the Bachelor mansion.
- 23:41Speaker 4: Needs needs to be done.
- 23:42Speaker 1: Have you gotten a call from ABC or no.
- 23:48Speaker 3: Like, really, it would be from AHGTV. Actually I've heard if.
- 23:54Speaker 4: They contacted me and wanted me to do it, I
- 23:57Speaker 4: said I was not going to do any more TV. Okay,
- 24:01Speaker 4: but I would do that. But yeah, I'm not really
- 24:04Speaker 4: an interior like okay. So when I was when I
- 24:07Speaker 4: got scouted for the show, I had taken two years
- 24:11Speaker 4: of interior designer courses and I was a restaurant designer.
- 24:16Speaker 4: That's all I did. I think I did one or
- 24:18Speaker 4: two houses, but I had never done like residential. I
- 24:20Speaker 4: only did restaurant. And then I was on the show
- 24:23Speaker 4: positioned as an interior designer, and then I got hired
- 24:26Speaker 4: on by Extreme Makeover Home Edition. Sorry, I need to
- 24:28Speaker 4: focus my thing. I got brought on Extreme Ocover Edition,
- 24:34Speaker 4: but that's not really interior design. It's more like decorating,
- 24:37Speaker 4: which is probably what this house would want, but it's
- 24:39Speaker 4: it's not really legit, Like you're not really a legit designer.
- 24:43Speaker 4: You're more just like picking up pink colors and like,
- 24:46Speaker 4: it's not like cad and specifications and binders. And then
- 24:51Speaker 4: when I was done with Extreme Ocover Home Edition, I
- 24:53Speaker 4: went straight to lever or list It and loved her.
- 24:55Speaker 4: List It. You have legit interior designers that are bringing
- 24:58Speaker 4: your vision to life. So I was basically just like
- 25:01Speaker 4: a glorified client. Really yeah, and now I have Now
- 25:07Speaker 4: I don't do interior design. Now I have the jillibox
- 25:09Speaker 4: and my Instagram page, and I don't do any interior
- 25:12Speaker 4: Like I hired an interior designer for our new house,
- 25:15Speaker 4: I'm not doing the interior design. However, I could play
- 25:18Speaker 4: the interior designer for The Bachelor Mansion Show. I would
- 25:22Speaker 4: just need a design team and I could give my
- 25:24Speaker 4: the jillionaires aesthetic.
- 25:26Speaker 3: There you go like it?
- 25:28Speaker 4: That would really work. And I'm great on camera. I'm
- 25:31Speaker 4: great for drama. I think this would be a great
- 25:34Speaker 4: like four part episode was.
- 25:36Speaker 1: For sure for sure. I don't know why they wouldn't
- 25:40Speaker 1: because actually we've heard that they are higher. They're bringing
- 25:44Speaker 1: people from Bachelor Nation.
- 25:46Speaker 4: But what about Joelle Joel Joelle Jojo will do it?
- 25:50Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm sure Jojo would do it. For sure. Jojo
- 25:53Speaker 1: and Jordan, they're a team. We actually just had Chris
- 25:56Speaker 1: Lambdon on and I think he he does some renovations.
- 26:00Speaker 1: There's Tyler Cameron.
- 26:02Speaker 4: I mean they have.
- 26:03Speaker 1: More did I did a Rocky Mountain reno show. I've
- 26:07Speaker 1: definitely was not the brains of the operation and had
- 26:11Speaker 1: had the team behind us too. But yeah, no, they're
- 26:15Speaker 1: bringing people back. You are a natural fit. You were
- 26:19Speaker 1: on the original Extreme Makeover.
- 26:22Speaker 3: Let's go.
- 26:23Speaker 4: Yes, I'm interested.
- 26:25Speaker 1: I think I mean we're putting it out there in
- 26:28Speaker 1: the universe.
- 26:29Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, Trista still the whole it's called.
- 26:38Speaker 4: I won't say. For the longest time, I never had
- 26:40Speaker 4: time like I would have loved her listed and I
- 26:42Speaker 4: had babies in COVID and other than the Bachelorette reunion,
- 26:45Speaker 4: I never had time to come to any of these events.
- 26:49Speaker 4: But recently I'm starting to have fomo.
- 26:52Speaker 1: Oh we need to do something like for real, we
- 26:55Speaker 1: have talked so long on our little text chain, which
- 27:00Speaker 1: has been radio silent for years. I feel like.
- 27:03Speaker 4: That's so awesome that we have not we do, but
- 27:06Speaker 4: we never.
- 27:06Speaker 1: Do anything with it anymore. We need to We need
- 27:08Speaker 1: to bring it back. We need to bring it back
- 27:11Speaker 1: and get a trip on the books because it would
- 27:15Speaker 1: be amazing to get all the girls together. But also
- 27:17Speaker 1: I have always told Rob Mills, we need to do
- 27:21Speaker 1: a like a reunion for everybody, Like how crazy would
- 27:27Speaker 1: it be? They don't have to fly everybody in, but
- 27:29Speaker 1: maybe it would be in LA because I don't know
- 27:31Speaker 1: where it would be.
- 27:32Speaker 4: But specialty discounts on the people can pay for their
- 27:36Speaker 4: own right, we're all adults.
- 27:38Speaker 1: Yeah, totally, Like just a big, huge fun party.
- 27:42Speaker 4: Televise it and we'll be.
- 27:43Speaker 3: There after you guys did the Bachelorette reunion.
- 27:46Speaker 2: I kept waiting for them to call for the Bachelor reunion,
- 27:49Speaker 2: like I thought they would do one, you know what,
- 27:51Speaker 2: And they just didn't do it, And I was like,
- 27:53Speaker 2: oh my god, this would be so interesting to me
- 27:56Speaker 2: because you don't.
- 27:57Speaker 4: We're interesting with the ladies because it's the hair that's true,
- 28:02Speaker 4: Like you guys are all just be sitting around farting
- 28:04Speaker 4: in the same outfit like Firestone.
- 28:06Speaker 3: Firestone and I love getting our hair done. It's true.
- 28:09Speaker 2: Everyone knows that if we can get a little blow up,
- 28:11Speaker 2: we're both happy with that. I can't all right, we
- 28:16Speaker 2: have so much more we want to ask Jillian. So
- 28:18Speaker 2: we are going to take a quick break and we return.
- 28:20Speaker 2: We'll have more Almost Famous ogs with Gillian Harris.
- 28:24Speaker 1: Follow the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast on
