- [Host] Welcome to the A.E.O. Engine AI Search Show — the number one podcast for brands looking to get cited by ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity. I am your host, Aria Chen. Every day we bring you fresh episodes on A.E.O. tactics, S.E.O. authority, and A.I. search distribution — breaking down what is actually working right now so your brand becomes the answer, not just a link. [Host] Today, we're diving into a groundbreaking development: the world's first AI CMO with S.E.O. and G.E.O. agents. Joining me as always is our insightful industry analyst, Marcus Reid. Marcus, welcome back. [Guest] Thanks, Aria! It's great to be here and discuss what truly feels like a pivotal moment in marketing. [Host] Absolutely. Marcus, our research shows a bold claim: the shift from S.E.O. to G.E.O. is being called the most significant change in digital marketing strategy since the very first search engines. That's a massive statement that immediately grabs attention. [Guest] It really is, Aria. This isn't just about incremental improvements; it's a fundamental re-evaluation of how brands achieve visibility. We're talking about a paradigm shift that could redefine marketing for years to come. [Host] Let's unpack this. Okara has launched what they call the world's first AI C.M.O. Can you tell us, at a high level, what exactly this AI C.M.O. is and what it aims to do? [Guest] Certainly. This AI C.M.O. is an advanced artificial intelligence system designed to take on the functions of a Chief Marketing Officer. Its primary goal is to automate and manage crucial marketing tasks, including S.E.O., content creation, growth strategies, and community engagement for various products. [Host] So, it's not just a single tool, but an entire system. And it deploys specialized 'agents.' What are these S.E.O. and G.E.O. agents, specifically, and how do they differ? [Guest] That's the core of the innovation. S.E.O. agents focus on optimizing websites and content for traditional search engines like Google. Their objective is to improve visibility and ranking in standard search results pages. G.E.O. agents, on the other hand, are built to optimize content for generative A.I. engines, such as ChatGPT and Perplexity. Their aim is to ensure a brand's presence and favorable positioning within A.I.-generated summaries and recommendations. [Host] That distinction is key. So, traditional search versus A.I.-driven summaries. Beyond S.E.O. and G.E.O., what other marketing functions do these agents cover? [Guest] The system is quite comprehensive. It also includes agents for A.I. writing, which means automated content creation. Additionally, it has agents that monitor and engage in online discussions on platforms like Reddit, Hacker News, and X, driving traffic and user growth through community participation. It's a full-spectrum approach to digital presence. [Host] Fascinating. Let's delve into the mechanics. How do these S.E.O. agents actually operate to improve traditional search visibility? [Guest] The S.E.O. agents conduct daily audits of websites. They don't just provide generic advice; they deliver specific, actionable recommendations for improvement. These are designed to be immediately implementable, directly targeting traditional search engine algorithms for better ranking. [Host] And the G.E.O. agents for generative A.I.? How do they optimize for something as fluid as an A.I. model's response? [Guest] G.E.O. agents optimize by understanding how A.I. models process information to formulate their answers. A key output they provide is a 'Generative Engine Optimization score.' This score helps brands assess their visibility strength, ranking, and sentiment within A.I.-generated outputs. It's a new metric for a new era of search. [Host] A G.E.O. score – that’s a clear differentiator. And the goal, as our research points out, is to win 'share of summary.' Can you elaborate on what that means for a brand? [Guest] Winning 'share of summary' is about ensuring a brand's product or service is featured prominently when an A.I. agent is asked for a recommendation. Think of it like being on the first page of Google search results, or having your product at eye level on a physical store shelf. It's about being the direct, authoritative answer in an A.I.-led world, rather than just one of many links. [Host] That's a powerful analogy. Beyond optimization, the system also handles community engagement. How do these A.I. agents manage to participate in online discussions while maintaining an authentic tone? [Guest] The agents monitor online discussions on platforms like Reddit and Hacker News. They're designed to generate responses that not only drive traffic but also aim for authenticity. While the research doesn't dive deep into the specific algorithms for 'authenticity,' the intent is clear: to appear as a helpful, relevant voice in community conversations to foster growth. [Host] This certainly sounds like a significant development. Now, let's discuss why this matters. The introduction of an A.I. C.M.O. with S.E.O. and G.E.O. capabilities signals a major shift. Why is G.E.O. becoming so critical right now? [Guest] It's a direct response to the evolving search landscape. The rise of A.I. assistants and generative search means traditional S.E.O. alone is no longer sufficient. Our research indicates that a significant portion of future search queries is expected to go through A.I. assistants. G.E.O. is emerging as a critical component for brands to remain visible and competitive in what's becoming an A.I.-first era. [Host] So, ignoring A.I.-driven search channels would be a major risk for businesses? [Guest] Absolutely. Brands that fail to optimize for generative engines risk losing significant potential traffic and customer engagement. Even if they have high traditional brand awareness, they could become effectively invisible to consumers seeking A.I.-powered recommendations. It's about maintaining relevancy in new discovery pathways. [Host] This puts a lot of pressure on marketing leaders. The research mentions C.M.O.s and C.E.O.s are being pressed to address A.I. search but often lack clear strategies. Does this A.I. C.M.O. concept offer a solution to that pressure? [Guest] It certainly offers a potential solution. Faced with the strategic shift from S.E.O. to G.E.O., which some call the most significant change in digital marketing since search engines themselves, businesses need tools to navigate this. An A.I. C.M.O. could provide that clarity and execution, allowing companies to capitalize on these changes rather than simply reacting to them. [Host] And what about the impact on human marketing roles? The research even poses the question, 'Firing Marketers?' [Guest] That's a provocative question. While the research doesn't explicitly detail job displacement, the concept of an A.I. C.M.O. performing these tasks inevitably raises questions about the future roles of human marketers. It suggests a shift towards strategic oversight and A.I. management, rather than purely execution. [Host] It’s a clear signal that the industry is adapting. But there's also community reaction to this, Marcus. Is everyone on board with these new concepts like G.E.O.? [Guest] Not entirely. While some praise it as proactive innovation, others view terms like G.E.O., A.E.O., and A.I.O. as potential buzzwords. There's a segment that argues traditional S.E.O. remains the backbone of online visibility, suggesting these new concepts could be overhyped. There's also some confusion and a call for simpler explanations of what these new acronyms actually entail. [Host] So, a mix of excitement and skepticism, which is typical for such a rapidly evolving space. It highlights the need for concrete results and clear understanding. On that note, how does all this tie into what we do here at A.E.O. Engine? [Guest] This entire discussion is precisely why A.E.O. Engine exists. We operate at the forefront of this shift, specializing in A.E.O. and S.E.O. services to help brands dominate A.I. search results. Our focus is on ensuring a brand becomes the featured answer in A.I. Overviews and platforms like ChatGPT, rather than just another link. [Host] Exactly. The urgency of this topic, the need for both S.E.O. and G.E.O. optimization, speaks directly to our 'First Movers Win' philosophy. Our always-on A.I. content agents are built to tackle this new challenge, creating human-quality content optimized for both traditional search and A.I. answer engines. [Guest] And that's where the rubber meets the road. A.E.O. Engine's agentic approach, like the A.I. C.M.O. we've discussed, automates content research, creation, and optimization at speed. This enables brands to publish significantly faster, ensuring visibility in both Google and the new A.I. Overview snippets, ultimately driving tangible sales uplift as seen in our clients achieving an average of 920% traffic growth from A.I. search. [Host] It's about staying ahead of the curve. The shift to an A.I.-driven marketing world, with specialized S.E.O. and G.E.O. agents, is not a distant future. It's happening now, and brands must adapt to maintain visibility and competitive edge. [Host] Thank you, Marcus, for breaking down this incredible development. The world's first A.I. C.M.O. with S.E.O. and G.E.O. agents represents a monumental leap in digital marketing.
