- 1:00That is most important.
- 1:02We have a lot of uh happenings going on this year, especially in our states.
- 1:09And if we don't pay attention, we will lose what we have achieved for so long, which is local control of our own areas where we live.
- 1:21The state is trying to take it away.
- 1:23And I am talking about the state of Florida, but now I have uncovered this is going on throughout the country.
- 1:31So what's happening in Florida is not necessarily only a Florida issue.
- 1:36It is an issue that is throughout the country.
- 1:41So we'll talk about Florida, so you'll get used to recognizing what could be happening.
- 1:46And I have asked a dear friend, John Hallman, who has I guess been uncovering and lobbying and working for the people in the rural counties for years and years.
- 2:00And I'm not gonna say how many, John, but uh a law instead of an old friend, it's a long-term friend.
- 2:10Anyway, uh John has still been working, his his website is fantastic.
- 2:16It's called defending rural florida.org.
- 2:20And he brings you up to the minute items that we must pay attention to, especially when it comes to overdevelopment and our property.
- 2:30So, John, I'm gonna let you take the lead and talk about some of the bills that we need to pay attention, uh, because this is a group that gets homework and has to pay attention.
- 2:42That is the idea, folks.
- 2:44If you learn about something and you don't share it and you don't act on it, then what's the point of learning about it?
- 2:49So thank you, John, for joining me today.
- 2:52Well, thank you, Karen.
- 2:53I appreciate it.
- 2:54Um, yeah.
- 2:55So as far as the what is going on with the Florida legislature, um, I mean, for years they've they've been passing what is called preemption bills, which is basically taking power away from local governments on growth management and and use and and being taken now, being run by the state and overriding and canceling basically anything counties, cities have done to try to control growth.
- 3:19Um, and what's happened, Karen, over the years is that you know, if you go back far enough, uh actually it would the county commissioners and city councils were basically rubber stamping developments.
- 3:29Uh you know, so their hands are kind of you know dirty on this as well.
- 3:34Um, but what started happening is people started becoming outraged at the development as they saw uh uh traffic, gridlock, and and just uh everything getting paved over and loss of of our important wetlands that are needed for our aquifers and our drinking water, uh, which is getting depleted daily.
- 3:56Um, and so as people started so people started showing up at uh public hearings, right?
- 4:02So as they would make a comprehensive plan change, land comp change or zoning change or a if somebody wanted to do a development, it would go uh normally it goes through a public hearing, you know.
- 4:14The campus the county commission would hold a public hearing and let the public speak.
- 4:18Well, they started speaking.
- 4:20Um, and over the last couple of years, they have been showing up in big time, and this is alarmed the developers uh because they were getting their way.
- 4:30Uh, you know, they they with the campaign accounts of county commissioners, they were making sure the campaign accounts were full, and you know, and they were getting basically you know, rubber stamps on all developments.
- 4:40So now the people started, and this pressured county commissioners, and they started getting worried about the voters.
- 4:46So, what they started doing is many counties started resisting and and trying to slow down growth, and that's where why we're having what we're happening today is because the led the lobbyists have said we can't have the public speaking.
- 5:00This is too, you know, this is killing us.
- 5:01So they tried to get they get their allies in the legislature to write bills to basically usurp home rule and local control of growth management.
- 5:12And the main reason they did that, Karen, it was they weren't so wanting to take power away from county commissioners is they want to take power away from the people.
- 5:20People are speaking up.
- 5:21Um, and that's why we're just getting more and more bills now.
- 5:24They're just flying out of this this year, is like a record number of preemption bills, maybe 20 some bills that have really three goals in mind, and the goal is to remove local control, again, mainly the public, have all their developments approved anywhere and everywhere, no restrictions on where they can develop, and then they want to do it quickly.
- 5:49So you'll see many of these bills reduced amount if they do give a local governing board some authority, they reduce the time to 30 days or 60 days, and so many of our land development plans when they were submitted to the county, the county would have usually 180 days to do their due diligence, and they should have time.
- 6:10Let's make sure this isn't going to overcrowd our roads, our utilities are getting strained, our electrical grids are being strained, we're losing our ability with wetlands to absorb uh storm water during storms and hurricanes.
- 6:24Um, and so it's it's do it quickly.
- 6:27So, anyhow, that's where that's where we are.
- 6:29So this year they're filing as many bills as they can.
- 6:33You know, somebody asked me one time, they said, you know, why why are they doing all this?
- 6:37Why are they writing so many preemption bills?
- 6:40Well, you know, I just um and why are why are the counties now you know getting scared?
- 6:44Well, they're being threatened, you know, between the various agencies in Florida, they're now threatening them.
- 6:50Um they're afraid of losing state money.
- 6:54Uh I I noticed a phrase, John, in in many of the bills that starts out the same.
- 7:00So, folks, you can highlight it and uh look for this phrase in the bills, and it even says prohibits counties and municipalities from, and then it is whether it's adopting laws, whether changing zoning, whether having a handle in emergency services, uh wetlands, the one that uh is coming up now is a water bill, and that is four seven nine, that it's HB479.
- 7:30You have to put uh 2026 there, otherwise you'll go to a bill from previous years.
- 7:36When I brought this to my county commissioners, most of them have no idea.
- 7:42They don't pay attention to what's going on in the state, and they think that this is not going to affect them because they're the county.
- 7:50But when you see prohibits counties and municipalities, that's exactly what they're going to do, isn't it, John?
- 7:58Oh no, absolutely.
- 7:59Like you said, you you can read these bills, and like you said, you'll see you know, local governing boards are prohibited, you know, from doing this, and and many of these they'll say are basically automatically approved because it only needs a uh administrative approval and no public hearings and no vote of the of the uh governing board.
- 8:19So what they do is they take it right, a administrative approval.
- 8:22So every county and city usually has something like a community development director, and their job is just to as development permits come in just to make sure they they fit within the uh landcom plan and they're just to check off on that.
- 8:37But what happens when the state passes a law that becomes the law, and they say that if a development fits this criterion, they'll set out the criteria for the development and the bill, and if it does, it has to be administrative.
- 8:53I mean, otherwise the community development director in each county can't deny it.
- 8:57He just says, uh, yeah, this fits what's the the state said had to be.
- 9:01So there it goes, and it's you know, it goes right to the development, the bulldozer start coming out.
- 9:05So another key phrase I noticed in our comp plan was uh it will prohibit urban sprawl.
- 9:14So I asked our county commissioners, what is urban sprawl?
- 9:20Not one of them could define what urban sprawl was, and when I said you pass something that obviously you have no idea what it is, why did you pass it?
- 9:30And their answer was well, you know, uh we can change it later on.
- 9:35No, you can't if the state follows up with a law that says prohibits urban sprawl, which means single family homes and uh automobiles are targeted to become high rises and 15 minute cities, and the people don't think that that's gonna happen.
- 9:54John, it's happening in our county, the city of Mariana.
- 9:59Um
- 10:00Sent to the state a request from a developer to change the zoning to a high-rise or a high density uh project in the middle of what used to be beautiful rural land slated for single family home.
- 10:19So I said, okay, so Mr.
- 10:23Commissioner, County Commissioner, how are you going to hand, you know, handle this?
- 10:28How are you going to allow this?
- 10:29This is going to create a tremendous amount of traffic on roads that are already in bad need of repair.
- 10:36So the answer was, well, that's a city deal.
- 10:39It's not a county deal.
- 10:41Oh, so they take their uh transfer or whatever the thing was from Star Trek and they push that and they get to the to the city without going through any of the county.
- 10:53I mean, they're they the things that they say just make absolutely no sense at all.
- 10:58And I think Karen, we need to one thing we need to really talk about a lot of people don't like to talk about it, but you know, they you hear the number of thousand people there moving into Florida, and you know, here's a problem.
- 11:11Florida can only take on so much, whether it's buildings and pavement, construction and people.
- 11:18So when you hear that, you know, we'll call it stacking stuff, right?
- 11:22You've heard that, you know, where we're just going to condense all the development into smaller areas and build up and build these high rises.
- 11:30The problem is you're still adding more people driving more cars, and you know, like you said, then you're going to have more traffic congestion.
- 11:42And so that to me, that's so when you say urban sprawl, like, yeah, I I just want to protect our our farms and ranches from being developed because we need that's food security.
- 11:52That's a national security issue, is that Florida be able to produce food, and we're losing our cattle ranches and our farms uh daily.
- 12:01I mean, they're just disappearing one after another.
- 12:03It's just amazing.
- 12:05And so, you know, it's yeah, so I don't want towns built on our wetlands that we need and our farms and ranches that we need.
- 12:15Uh, so we and but if we just stack and stuff everybody into smaller areas, then we're gonna we're still gonna have the problem.
- 12:22So, you know, that's more people drinking more water, depleting our aquifers even more.
- 12:28The Department of Environmental Protection has said projected that our aquifers will be pretty drained over the next few years.
- 12:35Uh, and now they're talking about you know, these wastewater to drinking water plants may have to come in.
- 12:42Uh desalinization plants will have to come in.
- 12:45They're there, they're we're gonna have a water problem.
- 12:47Uh it's it's already happening, and and if they keep developing at this rate, we we're in big trouble.
- 12:54So we have to realize that we you know, we can't stacking stuff either.
- 12:58No, absolutely.
- 12:59Are there a couple of bills that come to your mind that we really need to hammer on because I called my local uh representative, I called Shane Abbott's office, and I asked him why did he vote for uh 102 and 180, and is he going to vote for the water bill?
- 13:18And the answer that I got was well, you know, some counties didn't know how to manage properly.
- 13:24So we thought the state should take over.
- 13:27Oh, really?
- 13:28So because one or two of the counties did a poor job of managing whatever it was, the whole state is now being punished by a group of people that thought it would be a great idea to straighten out the Kissimmee River and flow the water into uh Lake Okeechobee and right to the Gulf at a massive rate.
- 13:49I said, This is the group that you want to manage the water in Florida.
- 13:52No, of course not.
- 13:53And whenever somebody says, you know, the the counties have been irresponsible.
- 13:57So that means shut the public up.
- 14:00That's what they really that's exactly.
- 14:03And that's why that's what they mean.
- 14:05These legislators they get their talking points, you know, and they go, Well, you know, the counties have been irresponsible.
- 14:11So and maybe they have, but the public is stepping in now, Karen, and they're they're you know, and that's where that's why growth, you know, when we talk about preemption, what should the state take over and tell the county what they can and can't do on different issues?
- 14:26And I would say absolutely growth management should stay local because the public has these are the people that live there.
- 14:33You live in your community, I live in my community, and I'd like to have a say along with my neighbors on how we go forward.
- 14:40And our county commissioners are starting to listen to the public because the numbers are getting bigger showing up at these public hearings.
- 14:47So that's what that means.
- 14:48That means uh we we we think the the public speaking out too much and stopping development, and our our donors are big developers.
- 14:57That's what they don't tell you, right, Karen?
- 14:59Right, exactly.
- 15:00Large amounts of money.
- 15:01I mean, I can go through their political committees, and I've done that, and it's just amazing how much developers donate to you know, the Senate president and the House Speaker and the governor and uh and other, you know, and appropriate uh committee chairs that they need, and they just fund the hell out of them.
- 15:20Well, that would be real important to vet your candidates, especially now when we're choosing a governor, choose one that is not beholden to developers and will actually continue to allow the public to have a say.
- 15:33John, are there any bills that are in particular that come to mind that you need to pay attention to I think uh a big one is you know, so we remember I may remember SB 180 from last session, which basically said, you know, it dealt with the hurricanes.
- 15:51Remember in 2024, we had three hurricanes.
- 15:54I had one come right, you know, two come over the top of me that summer.
- 15:57Um, it was uh Debbie, Helene, and Milton in 2024.
- 16:02And so Senator Nick's DeSegley um filed a bill uh 180.
- 16:08And and basically what the bill did many things, but the worst part was that it said no local governing board can uh pass a uh change to the comp plan to the zoning laws that would be quote quote unquote restrictive or burdensome for construction, among other things.
- 16:30So, like new, you know, for construction projects.
- 16:34Not that they had been even approved at that time, that they're just that they had them.
- 16:38Um, and so and so that was I mean, so what happened was is that after that bill went into law, developers started filing lawsuits against counties for everything they did.
- 16:51I mean, you know, because in any comp land, Karen or zoning law, they don't like, they don't like them.
- 16:58They feel they're too restrictive.
- 16:59So they started suing on everything, which you know, the idea was that it they would force the counties to to repeal the law and they could just go on then developing.
- 17:09So this bill just got abused uh by developers, and then it also had another part of the bill that's uh 180 that said that in the future of a hurricane comes through for one year.
- 17:21No, let me go back again to the one about the the uh four her uh three hurricanes.
- 17:27It also said that it was retroactive to August of 24.
- 17:32So anything the county did from August of 2024 going forward, and the bill ran till uh October of 2027.
- 17:42In that period, you can't do anything that's restrictive or burnsome.
- 17:45So obviously it right after the hurricanes, some counties did do some things to say, look, we got to do some mitigation, we got to figure out how we can go forward, uh, because we're having a lot of prop floods and everything that was happening.
- 17:57Um, so this was a very dangerous, it is a dangerous bill.
- 18:02And then there was the part about future hurricanes, and it would say for a year after any future hurricane, again, these are for counties and cities that were listed in the federal disaster declaration, which you know, after the three hurricanes in 2024, every county was covered under the federal.
- 18:20I mean, and so that literally all 67 counties, you know, faced you know, the problems of 180.
- 18:27And then the other part of the bill was going forward, if there's a hurricane, then for one year you can't do anything uh restrictive or burdensome to stop development, more or less.
- 18:37Um, so anyhow, tremendous amounts of pushback uh against the bill.
- 18:44They and so you know, you heard them say in Tallahassee, like we heard, we've heard we got to do something, we got to, you know, make sure we uh fix this.
- 18:51So they so Nick DeSegley filed SB 840.
- 18:56Um, and what his bill did was it didn't really fix anything.
- 19:01He did fix it for the future hurricanes part.
- 19:04Um, you know, that it was only for repairing homes that were damaged by a hurricane, which is that makes sense.
- 19:11You can't do anything that stops a person from you know, uh rebuilding their home, right?
- 19:17This had and and has nothing to do with new construction for that part for the part about the future hurricanes.
- 19:25He left the the part that's the most onerous, the most dangerous, the one that is causing the most lawsuits against counties by developers remained the same.
- 19:35And he only shortened the it goes from August 24, now he shortened it to August 28th.
- 19:42That's uh I'm sorry, of 26.
- 19:43So this August.
- 19:45So, you know, he did he so that means that this bill passes that codifies the lawsuits the developers are filing and forcing counties and cities to to approve uh development.
- 19:57So this is not a good bill.
- 19:59A lot of people.
- 20:00Well, we thank Senator Nick Segway for addressing this.
- 20:03Well, why am I thanking him?
- 20:06He kept the most worse parts of the bill in place.
- 20:10Uh, so I'm not thanking him.
- 20:12Um, and all I have to simply do this, it's a simple change.
- 20:16If he was being sincere, is he would put the language from the part about future hurricanes saying it only addresses homes that were damaged by the hurricanes and put that into the part about the 2024 hurricanes, then we'd it'd be good.
- 20:32Then it would be a good bill.
- 20:33So it's a bad bill.
- 20:35Uh, if this passes counties and cities, I mean, it it will lead to the destruction and the overdevelopment will continue.
- 20:42So as usual, and one of the things that you should ask when you go to the county meetings is where do you live?
- 20:50Ask the developer, where do they live?
- 20:52They don't live in that community.
- 20:54All they do is own the pizza land.
- 20:56They don't live in the state.
- 20:58Right.
- 20:58So, how do they know what the needs of that community are?
- 21:01They're only looking at their platter.
- 21:05One of the horrible things that continues to happen if we just take a look at Central and South Florida, is all of these new developments are flooding.
- 21:14They're flooding areas that never flooded before because they're reclaiming wetlands and thinking, oh, well, we don't need it.
- 21:22And if we mitigate it, if we buy a piece of land over there and make it a wetland, then uh we're following the Florida uh guidelines.
- 21:31No, you're not.
- 21:32You're changing something and flooding an area that never flooded that shouldn't flood because you want to develop something.
- 21:40I could uh Karen, I could spend a lot of time on the mitigation banking that you're talking about, and it's a scam.
- 21:47Yes, and so many.
- 21:49What they're doing is they're taking a uh wetlands that we need so desperately for our water supply, and they're saying, look, you know, over here's like you know, 200 acres of an upland pine forest, which has no environmental value, and they're saying that's that's a fair uh we'll trade and that way they so they're they're they're just you know it's it's very destructive.
- 22:11This whole mitigation banking is a scam.
- 22:12I could say we could do a show on this at some point.
- 22:15That's a good idea.
- 22:16We should because people, especially with this water bill.
- 22:20Um, people need to know what's going on.
- 22:22And I would do a search, folks, and uh you want to play around with AI, play around with AI and ask them in 2026 how many bills and what are the numbers of the bills that have the phrase prohibits communities and municipalities from adopting something.
- 22:40Uh, once you see that phrase there, you will be astounded as you realize that the majority of what the Florida legislature is doing is playing takeaway.
- 22:50They're not supporting the people, they are supporting the developers.
- 22:54And for that reason, FYI, if you live in district two, do not allow Evan Power to become the representative in District 2.
- 23:04He is a lobbyist.
- 23:05He his company supports developers, and that would be a bad thing.
- 23:10Uh, John, please tell everyone where they can find you and continue on this fight to educate the people that uh we have to pay attention to what's going on in Tallahassee.
- 23:22That is our local area, and uh we can't allow them to work all over us after we put them in office and find out they're lying to us.
- 23:32Yes.
- 23:32Um, so you people can go to defending rural florida.org.
- 23:38That's our website.
- 23:39Um, if people are on Facebook, they can you know just search Defending Rural Florida on Facebook.
- 23:46We post information basically every day on Facebook.
- 23:49In fact, you could go there and scroll down and see some of the uh analysis I've done on different I do analysis on all the bills.
- 23:57Um, so everybody can understand what the bill does.
- 24:00And uh, you know, so yeah, I would say uh uh our website, defending rural florida.org, Facebook is defending rural florida um the same with uh with uh Twitter or X.
- 24:13Um yeah, that's where they can if they want to keep up.
- 24:17I try to get as much information as I can out to everybody on these issues and and and do analysis so they know what the bill does and uh what it really does, not what they're saying it does.
- 24:28Yes, thank you, John.
- 24:30This is so important, folks.
- 24:31If we don't pay attention to what our legislators are doing, then one day we're gonna wake up and find out that we don't have a county anymore, that uh anything can be built as your next door neighbor.
- 24:44And I also said, why would a person move to rural Florida?
- 24:48Why would somebody move to a rural area?
- 24:51And usually the answer that I get is because I want to live in a single family home and I want a piece of property.
- 24:59Well, that's the whole goal of being in a rural area.
- 25:03I want to do a little farming.
- 25:04I want to have my uh victory garden.
- 25:07I want to have uh a goat and a couple of chickens, and I want to be able to see if I can be self-sustaining and play around with that.
- 25:14And I want good wholesome food, and I want to know that uh my neighbor is not gonna report me for playing music too loud.
- 25:23Um on a Saturday night when we're having a party.
- 25:28Folks, people move to rural areas for a reason, and developers don't care.
- 25:34And once they put a high-rise complex next to your single family home, just think of what the value of that is going to be, and you'll have your answer.
- 25:46So it's so important.
- 25:48This is our land, this is our state.
- 25:50And if we don't pay attention to it, we are about to lose it.
- 25:54John, thank you so much for joining me.
- 25:57And yes, I want you to come back and we'll talk about mitigation because people don't understand that either.
- 26:03And you're right, this is just another fraud scheme.
- 26:07Of which we are uncovering many in the quote free state of Florida.
- 26:12We could do several shows, Karen, on everything.
- 26:16Yeah, we that's what we need to do is some shows on fraud, Florida fraud.
- 26:21Uh, that's a good topic, and I'm gonna pick up on that with you, John, and we'll we'll come back and do that.
- 26:28Uh, folks, don't go away.

- 29:27A man's country is not a certain area of land of mountains, rivers, and woods, but it is a principle.
- 29:35And patriotism is loyal to that principle.
- 29:38I'm happy to report that American patriotism flows freely once again.
- 29:47America out loud dot news is that place to awaken your heart, soul, and mind to the outloud.
- 30:00Hello, everyone, and welcome back.
- 30:03This is Karen Schoen.
- 30:04You've been listening to The Prism of America's Education brought to you on the America Outloud.news network.
- 30:11Folks, I know that we spent good time talking about some of the travesties that have been happening in Florida as people realize that our legislature is not really what we expected them to be.
- 30:27They are fighting for their donors, not fighting for we the people.
- 30:31And very slowly, by a thousand cuts, we are losing in our local communities the ability to govern ourselves.
- 30:40Isn't that what America is all about?
- 30:43Self-governance.
- 30:45Unfortunately, these legislators feel that we're too stupid to do that.
- 30:50So they want to take over our land, they want to take over our zoning, they want to take over a multitude of things, and especially 479, which is the new bill, which will take over all of the water.
- 31:07This is disgraceful, and it's up to us to get it to be changed.
- 31:13And every time I get a message that says so-and-so is not running, I have to go, yay, another rhino, another rhino gone.
- 31:22But if we don't pick grassroots people and we don't support our people, then guess what?
- 31:29We're gonna get the same rhinos back again.
- 31:32And that is unsatisfactory and unacceptable.
- 31:37One just has to look at Minneapolis and beautiful area, beautiful city filled with tremendous hope and possibilities to see the ruin that we watch happening day after day, and the disappointment that I have in President Trump in his selection of we used to call her blondie Bondi, but she has really been a bigger disappointment in the federal government than she was in the Florida government than she was bad enough.
- 32:13President Trump, you have a bad habit of choosing the wrong people, and then you get to listen to them, and then we have disasters like we have what's going on in Minneapolis.
- 32:25This is a planned insurrection.
- 32:28President Trump, you got a bill.
- 32:30It's called the Insurrection Act.
- 32:33Please sign it.
- 32:34One of my friends and friend of the show, been on the show multiple times, has an incredible writing skills, writes fabulous articles.
- 32:45Kat Stanzel has agreed to have some talking today.
- 32:50Let's talk out what's going on in America and what we are going to be facing, so that we will be prepared and not say, oh, I didn't think that could happen, because everything we see happening is planned, and we have to remember that.
- 33:07Kat, thank you for joining me today.
- 33:10And uh I know we're going through a global warming.
- 33:14Ha ha temperature is up five degrees, so I we're warming now.
- 33:21Well, yes, we are warming, and who knows if they're controlling this too.
- 33:26I don't know, it's winter, and I think that's all I need to just lay on the line.
- 33:29It's winter and it's gonna be cold and wet and sometimes snowy, and hey, you know, it is what it is.
- 33:34But Karen, thanks for having me.
- 33:36I think more and more about your title of your whole program is about education.
- 33:42And I think that we started to lose our country when we gave away education from the states to the federal government.
- 33:50And I have to say that that has formed that has formed the poor public participation.
- 33:56It has become indoctrination instead of education.
- 34:00We all know that.
- 34:01And the kids that are now, you know, those roaming the streets in Minneapolis and you know, waving their flags, they think that the American government is horrible, and they were taught that in our schools.
- 34:13Of course, the Somalis didn't help, but they're the whole center of our rot is our education system.
- 34:20And I know that you can't disagree with that, but I know that there's so many that's I think the frustration is, and you can hear it in my voice.
- 34:28There are so different many things happening.
- 34:31I agree with you.
- 34:32Nobody knows where to go, nobody knows what's true anymore, nobody knows how to find the truth, nobody knows who to believe, can't believe anybody.
- 34:42And what we were all supposed to be believing was our constitution.
- 34:47But when you're taught the constitution is a racist criminal document that should be put in the trash, what have you got left?
- 34:56Where what basis do you have?
- 34:59Millions of people living together, that only works if we have a law that we all follow, and that's not happening, correct?
- 35:08That is exactly right.
- 35:09Our when we turned over our education system, they surgically removed the family, our faith, and our history.
- 35:20And those three things they have managed to topple our nation without them.
- 35:25Um they pushed kids into believing fictitious, just stupid stuff about America.
- 35:33And like you said, oh, the constitution is is should be thrown away.
- 35:37People don't go to church anymore, they don't think, they don't think about what's going on.
- 35:42And some churches have been told to back away because Lyndon Johnson, of course, told churches they couldn't they couldn't discuss politics or else they'd lose their tax uh free status.
- 35:54And that also was a crock.
- 35:57But we've been being fed this for decades, and it's no wonder between you know what the CIA in the middle of our country is doing and everything.
- 36:08It it confuses everybody.
- 36:10We used to have a document we could follow.
- 36:12That everybody, as you said, everybody followed the same document.
- 36:17You either measured up or you didn't, you know, and there were levels of measurement where you did better or worse, and then they fell into the criminal or the star.
- 36:28Just it's all on a continuum, Karen.
- 36:31And kids today don't even know that.
- 36:33They're just told to go out in the streets and throw things at at people with uniforms on and hate America, and they say, oh, okay.
- 36:41How do you think the kids of today will be as adults when they're being taught that it doesn't matter what the constitution says, we're not gonna follow it.
- 36:52It doesn't matter what the law is, we're gonna break it.
- 36:56It doesn't matter.
- 36:57And I believe that that happens because there are no consequences for the actions.
- 37:02Well, exactly.
- 37:04And if we don't have consequences, every generation our country gets weaker.
- 37:09Yes.
- 37:10Exactly.
- 37:11We cannot, we have to turn our education around for starters.
- 37:15Yes.
- 37:15Um, everybody thought that election Donald Trump was the answer when it turned the America of the American country around.
- 37:24Everybody's gonna be better now.
- 37:25It's all gonna be better.
- 37:26The man himself has failings, and Lord knows some of his appointees have failings.
- 37:32I think, frankly, I understand why everybody expects everything out of him, but they have to understand right up front that he's not gonna deliver everything that everybody wants.
- 37:41He can't.
- 37:42He's one human being.
- 37:43I I do believe God saved him for a reason, though.
- 37:47Um if nobody has seen that flag angel over the Butler Stadium where he was shot.
- 37:55Um suddenly the wind twisted the flag up into a complete form of an angel, and all anybody has to do is just Google Butler flag, and you will see that angel.
- 38:07It's uncanny.
- 38:09The wings, the head, the skirt, everything, the waist.
- 38:12I do think that was something saying, hey, we gotta hang on to this guy for a little bit.
- 38:18Well, he's he's doing a lot, but what he's it's the show part that he's not doing.
- 38:26So maybe there are a lot of things happening underneath that we don't see.
- 38:31But when somebody says we're gonna dox ice, we're gonna expose the people, we're gonna break the law, we're gonna tell you you don't have to follow the law.
- 38:43If ICE comes after you, you have a right, no, you don't to go after insurrection.
- 38:49That yes, exactly.
- 38:51That is called insurrection.
- 38:53We have an act that says you can't do that.
- 38:57And yet he's not right, he's not following it.
- 39:01So that I think is the problem that people are having.
- 39:05And everybody knows that if the uh left was in power right now, and we did the things that they are doing, they'd be rounded up and we'd all be in jail.
- 39:16Look at what they did in J6 when they even started it.
- 39:19So the double standard is to me, the Democrats will go all in for violence because that's where they want to be, because if you are violent, then eventually the people will say, please help us, please stop the violence.
- 39:37We don't want violence.
- 39:38Oh my goodness, no violence.
- 39:40So the same people that created the violence will now be in charge of cleaning it up.
- 39:45That's the thing.
- 39:47I'm sorry, yes, exactly.
- 39:49One thing of violence is weakening, though, is our economic system.
- 39:53That's what I was just going to chime in with.
- 39:55The violence is turning off corporations.
- 39:58I mean, a lot of corporations in many.
- 40:00Minneapolis are shutting down.
- 40:01They're just saying, stop.
- 40:03We we can't deal with this anymore.
- 40:05Our people can't come to work.
- 40:07The streets are plugged.
- 40:08You know, we we just we're losing money.
- 40:11And this happened out in the Northwest too in uh the year of 2020, that summer of love.
- 40:18It destroys everything.
- 40:20Yeah.
- 40:21It destroys everything.
- 40:23And the sad part is we're paying for it.
- 40:26We're allowing it to happen.
- 40:28And that's the part that I don't like.
- 40:30And when you have weak people like Pam Bondi, who is to me uh taking clues from the people that support her and not from the federal government when she gets on the on the air and says, we have arrested two people.
- 40:47Excuse me.
- 40:48How many people were out there throwing bottles, throwing ice bottles at um at ice, uh, were destroying their cars, stealing.
- 41:00How many people were doing that?
- 41:01Two people?
- 41:02We have arrested two people.
- 41:04No, Pam.
- 41:05All of these people need to be arrested.
- 41:07They need to walk right into the governor's office, and they need to walk into the uh mayor's office and arrest them for the things they're saying.
- 41:17That would be a great start, wouldn't you think?
- 41:19Yeah, I definitely do.
- 41:22I believe that we need to rewind even further on Bondy, though.
- 41:26I mean, she's been in office for over a year, and and has basically done squat.
- 41:32I don't care about the Epstein files.
- 41:34I don't know what they have in them or not.
- 41:36I suppose they're salacious or whatever, but it she promised to reveal them.
- 41:41She hasn't done it completely yet.
- 41:43The Charlie Kirk thing is troubling a lot of people.
- 41:46There are podcasters out there swearing that the government did it.
- 41:50I mean, you know what?
- 41:52You gotta be able to clear the air, because there is going to be a lot of a lot of whispered idiocy because people can't find the truth.
- 42:04If the truth came out, if the facts came out, if Lindsay Halligan had been allowed to stay in her office, because you know, they hit at her and they made her it, nobody fought for her.
- 42:15Right.
- 42:15So that's that's exactly what the Republican rhinos are doing.
- 42:21They don't fight for grassroots, they don't fight for MACA, they're not fighting for President Trump's agenda.
- 42:28They are doing nothing, and they should be gone.
- 42:32Uh, we should be getting rid of them.
- 42:34We should be primarying them.
- 42:37And you can't primary somebody like we have in Florida when you have 10 people running for the same office, because nine nine times out of ten, the incumbent will win, or the favored person will win.
- 42:50You don't want them to win, but look at the governor's race in Florida.
- 42:54I think there's 10 people running.
- 42:56Byron Donald's is a shoe-in then because he'll have uh Trump stumping for him and he'll have DeSantis and he'll have whatever.
- 43:06And we when you split the vote like that, it doesn't work.
- 43:09You gotta tighten it up by the primary and make sure you got one guy running against one guy, then you have a chance.
- 43:16But what we have right now is no chance.
- 43:18As you were talking, Kat, um, I began to think that people are forgetting what the goals of the left really are, and they are remaining true to their goals, and their goals are to flood the country with illegals who will become potential voters, and they will be in business and in office forever if they get enough people.
- 43:45That's the whole goal of this, and then to change people don't equate that with what's the next step.
- 43:51Well, they got the census, and if we don't straighten out the census and say only citizens can vote, not illegals or immigrants can't.
- 44:05Only citizens count in the head count.
- 44:07Yes, and only and that changes the representation in Congress, it changes the amount of money that they're getting.
- 44:17The electoral college totals, so college totals, I forgot about that one.
- 44:23Yeah, and that's a biggie.
- 44:25I mean, that that's the ball game.
- 44:27So if we don't straighten out our elections, and we don't get that's why getting rid of all of the illegals.
- 44:35Illegal means illegal, you know.
- 44:40You did something bad, it's illegal.
- 44:42Why would I want you as a citizen of my country if you already started out doing something bad?
- 44:50I wonder what they've threatened Trump with.
- 44:52I have a hunch it's well, obviously they tried to take his life twice.
- 44:56Um I wonder what they're hanging over his head, because I frankly think he's behaving kind of differently than I expected him to.
- 45:04I'm not ready to say he's failing, but I'm bothered by the fact that he hasn't gone in the direction, I think, and I'm I'm afraid that somebody's got something.
- 45:17That's a very interesting thought.
- 45:19I had not thought of that.
- 45:21I thought someone got to Cash Patel after writing that book of what he was going to do.
- 45:28I figured the first day he'd be there, he'd arrest Pelosi and uh Schumer and uh Adam Schiff and uh um Swalwell.
- 45:40They haven't gone any place.
- 45:42And they're not going to happen, and they're and they're not going to.
- 45:46So what was Cash Patel's big mouth?
- 45:50I don't know.
- 45:51It's I don't know.
- 45:52It's just been very you have a wonderful group, folks.
- 45:58Take a look at data, D A T A Republican.
- 46:02Yes, uh a woman who is deaf and um mute, and she speaks through a computer, but what she has uncovered is unbelievable.
- 46:15The ties, the strings.
- 46:18I used to say everything is connected, nothing happens at random, everything has a plan, and all plans are based on lies.
- 46:28Well, she has proven exactly what I have said.
- 46:32She goes through and connects the dots and connects one organization to the next organization because they're very crafty, right?
- 46:40Kat.
- 46:41They um always uh are able to mask what they're doing by putting overlays and overlays and overlays on it so that it's almost impossible to dig to find out where the money is going because that's what's driving all of this.
- 46:56And they've created an alphabet soup world.
- 47:00We're drowning in alphabet soup.
- 47:02The EIPs and the EX and the MSs and the CIS's and the DHSs and the average citizen just quits after about the first three minutes of trying to understand any of this.
- 47:12I know as a writer, I talk about the National Security Council, and you have to stop and put NSC in parentheses after it.
- 47:20I mean, it and how often people remember that after they've read the article, I don't know.
- 47:25But it's it then the the press throws out all that stuff and tells you what's going on or what they want you to know.
- 47:32And and the average person just throws up their hands and says, I can't help if I don't understand what's going on or who's doing it, and that's the key.
- 47:42They they just they've they've muddled everything, and that was the Soros plan, too.
- 47:47I mean, you know, all of his, oh gosh, he had six, gosh, when I lived in Virginia, I'm trying to remember what year it must have been, maybe 2018.
- 47:58We had a Republican county meeting, and I had people take a contest about how many of these alphabet soup names they recognize, and they would win a prize if they could tell me what the whole list of 12 was.
- 48:17Nobody passed.
- 48:18Oh, that must have been interesting.
- 48:20Nobody passed.
- 48:22It was pathetic.
- 48:23You know, I I there was a pretty beautiful, wonderful quilt that the ladies of the club had made, and they did one every year, a very patriotic quilt.
- 48:32And um, I said, let's use that as surprise.
- 48:34They thought that was a great idea.
- 48:36Nobody won the quilt.
- 48:37Wow, so they had to give it to the person.
- 48:39I think somebody got nine out of twelve.
- 48:42Wow.
- 48:42But you know, that's it the whole point.
- 48:45That was a game, but but this kind of life is not a game.
- 48:48We need to have the average citizen get off the couch and out the door to be a part of this, and they're afraid to because they don't know what the heck they're talking about.
- 48:58Because they're all mystery terms, and and like you said, mystery uh uh organizations that take money and they funnel money from one to the other.
- 49:07That's what I call dark money, yeah.
- 49:09And there are people in Florida who are studying very hard the amount of dark money that flies around that state.
- 49:16Oh, I yes, it's it's horrific.
- 49:18Do you think that if uh if we dig deep enough that China has a hand in all of this?
- 49:27I I know China.
- 49:28Well, I wrote I wrote a little article recently about um China.
- 49:34Did you happen to pick up on that?
- 49:36China is using um sperm to beat America.
- 49:41Yeah, they're you they're using our laws, they're using, they're actually using our laws against us because we're too stupid to recognize it and to say no and put a stop to it.
- 49:52And you're talking about uh the children, the anchor babies, how they send their pregnant women here uh to have.
- 50:00Babies, and they said that they are they've been doing this for 13 years, and there's about a hundred thousand a year.
- 50:08Yep.
- 50:09That means that I wrote the article military.
- 50:12Just finished writing the article on it.
- 50:14They call it civilizational warfare.
- 50:17Oh, I told you they mean business.
- 50:19They call it birthright citizenship.
- 50:22Yeah.
- 50:23Yes.
- 50:24Yes.
- 50:24Yes.
- 50:25I mean his second administration, President Trump issued a birthright citizenship order entitled Protecting the Meaning and Value of American Citizenship.
- 50:36The first day of his second administration.
- 50:39He argued that the 14th Amendment had never been in interpreted to extend citizenship universally to everyone born within the United States.
- 50:56What's happening with the Chinese is that they're running into several places where they can just go visa free, like Guam and the Marianas.
- 51:05They can stay visa free for 14 days.
- 51:07They can birth their baby and take it home.
- 51:10Oh, that's yeah.
- 51:14I forgot about that.
- 51:15That's very interesting.
- 51:17And um in the this is just a drop in the bucket.
- 51:23They you know, I guess three senators now.
- 51:27Um Rick Scott of Florida, Jim Banks of Indiana, and Mark Wayne Mullen of Oklahoma, have written to the Trump administration and get them to please end that Guam Mariana Island waiver program, saying it's open in the United States to significant security threats by creating veritable cottage industry of Chinese nationals giving birth, and it does.
- 51:48The trick is they they the Karen, the clever part of this is they birthed them here in the United States, so they call them citizens, then they take them home and they raise them as Chinese communists.
- 52:00Then China does not accept dual citizenship.
- 52:03So those people have to come back to America because they are citizens here.
- 52:09Oh, and they keep family in China, so if you don't do what I tell you to do, we'll go after your family.
- 52:19Exactly.
- 52:20By the way, surrogacy, which they use hugely here, is illegal in China.
- 52:27There are over a hundred surrogate produced, I should say hundred surrogate produced children.
- 52:35There are over a hundred uh organizations, just in Southern California, who will find surrogate mothers for these Chinese men.
- 52:44They bring their sperm, they put it in the woman, and the woman gives birth, and the man comes back and takes it home.
- 52:52Oh this is even more sinister than I thought.
- 52:56Boy, they are sneaky folks, and we have accepted them with open arms.
- 53:03Yes, isn't that wonderful?
- 53:05Is China ready to fight us nuclearly and do a whole lot?
- 53:09I don't think they don't have to.
- 53:11They don't exactly.
- 53:13This is citizen citizen civilizational warfare, and there could be no perfect term for it.
- 53:20Yes, and remember, remember the opium wars where England, not America, England, uh, flooded China with opium so that they could beat them.
- 53:31Well, that's where China got the idea for the fentanyl.
- 53:34Nothing is new under the sun.
- 53:37Exactly.
- 53:38The key here with the birthright citizenship thing is that and the surrogacy, especially, there is not one single state in these 50 United States which requires surrogacy to be utilized only by U.S.
- 53:52citizens, not one.
- 53:56Oh boy, we have a lot of work to do.
- 53:58We have for us.
- 54:01So, folks, this is so important, and you've got to see the laws in your state, and when you are voting, make sure you vet your candidates, make sure they are up on the list, make sure they know what's going on, because for the most part, most of them haven't even read the constitution, so they have no clue.
- 54:22And that's why things like this are being allowed to happen.
- 54:27So this is a travesty that we are giving to ourselves.
- 54:32We are doing to ourselves.
- 54:35This is cloud and pivot on steroids.
- 54:38And for those of you that don't know what that is, go look it up.
- 54:42But it means to overload the system, and that's what's being done to us.
- 54:46So we are accepting things because we have a law that supposedly was for Americans, that because it didn't say in it for Americans only, the left has learned to exploit it.
- 54:59And that is what is happening right now.
- 55:02Kat, where can everybody find you and your fabulous writing?
- 55:06She writes wonderful articles, folks.
- 55:08You should be paying attention to them.
- 55:10Well, thank you, Karen.
- 55:11My Substack is called Cats Meow.
- 55:13And if you go into Substack, go to PAT at the beginning of Patriot, the number four, and the letters E V R Pat forever.
- 55:24Oh, how nice I like that.
- 55:26Okay, folks, that's your homework for the week.
- 55:29Pay attention.
- 55:30Go look up things that you don't understand.
