- 0:04Speaker 1: R filling in for Mark. Here again is Ken Rosado
- 0:08Speaker 1: and our phone lines are open right now. One eight
- 0:11Speaker 1: hundred three to two one zero seven ten, one eight
- 0:13Speaker 1: hundred three to two one zero seven ten. Alan Parsippany,
- 0:17Speaker 1: good morning. You're on the air, Hi, Hi, What.
- 0:24Speaker 2: Can I do for you? What hosts refer to America
- 0:32Speaker 2: as a democracy, it's really a democratic republic and yet
- 0:41Speaker 2: defines their values.
- 0:43Speaker 1: Yes, and Al, I don't mean to step in on you,
- 0:46Speaker 1: a'l other mean to step in on you only because
- 0:48Speaker 1: we're a little tight on time. Not only is a
- 0:50Speaker 1: democratic republic which you are one hundred percent correct, and
- 0:54Speaker 1: you're right. You can tell right away with some now politics,
- 0:58Speaker 1: Oh there you go. You could tell some he's politics.
- 1:01Speaker 1: Why they call it a democracy versus a republic?
- 1:03Speaker 2: Right? Yeah? The idea of democracy is everything free, so
- 1:10Speaker 2: to speak.
- 1:12Speaker 1: And everybody else everybody gets an equals. Say, you're absolutely right,
- 1:15Speaker 1: my friend. We go to Patent Scarsdale. Hello, Pat, how
- 1:20Speaker 1: are you?
- 1:20Speaker 3: Ken?
- 1:20Speaker 1: Good sir?
- 1:22Speaker 3: I had just said two points one point was I
- 1:25Speaker 3: know you folks are on top of the news. Remember
- 1:27Speaker 3: that leaker that leaked in the Supreme Court going back
- 1:32Speaker 3: a year or two.
- 1:33Speaker 1: Uh huh.
- 1:33Speaker 3: Yes, they leaked the announcement about Roe v. Wade, and
- 1:38Speaker 3: they said, we're going to catch catch this person, and
- 1:40Speaker 3: we're going to make sure that they've brought to justice.
- 1:43Speaker 3: I never heard another word.
- 1:44Speaker 1: Well, that's because it was a Democrat. I mean, you know,
- 1:47Speaker 1: listen who. It wouldn't have benefited the Republicans, the conservative justices.
- 1:51Speaker 1: It would have only benefited the liberals, right, So you
- 1:54Speaker 1: know that because of that, you'll never hear another word
- 1:57Speaker 1: about it. They know it's a very small little click
- 2:00Speaker 1: in the Supreme Court, all right. In Scotus, everybody knows everybody,
- 2:04Speaker 1: no matter which side you're on, so they certainly know
- 2:07Speaker 1: who leaked. And Washington is a very close clicky place.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Everybody knows who leaked, but they keep their mouths shut
- 2:13Speaker 1: because they protect their own. And by the way, I'm
- 2:15Speaker 1: sure even the conservatives there are protecting the liberals because
- 2:19Speaker 1: the reverse I'm sure someday will be true. Sadly, that's
- 2:21Speaker 1: the way it works.
- 2:22Speaker 3: Indeed, exactly right one to a point. Sure w L
- 2:27Speaker 3: tends to be leadings of Right of Santa a conservative
- 2:32Speaker 3: radio station. Why did they and I know it's commercial radio,
- 2:35Speaker 3: but why did they have so many ads for people
- 2:38Speaker 3: that can avoid paying taxes. You know, I listened to
- 2:41Speaker 3: the radio religiously three or four hours, and I tell
- 2:45Speaker 3: you the truth. My hair goes on fire when I
- 2:47Speaker 3: hear even Sean Hannity. You miss the right wing always
- 2:51Speaker 3: promoting these ways to avoid paying taxes.
- 2:54Speaker 1: Listen if the law, if that's the way the law
- 2:56Speaker 1: is written. It's not about why would you pay taxes
- 2:59Speaker 1: if the law says you don't have to pay taxes.
- 3:01Speaker 1: If you want to listen, you want to pay more taxes.
- 3:03Speaker 1: You got to pay all the taxes you want. The
- 3:05Speaker 1: law says you don't have to pay taxes. If you
- 3:07Speaker 1: cross the street on the left side and make a
- 3:09Speaker 1: left turn, then you cross the street on the left
- 3:11Speaker 1: side and make a left turn. You're not breaking the law.
- 3:13Speaker 1: You're just watching the law, following the rules. Now, that's
- 3:16Speaker 1: the thing. People covetch, if I could use a nice
- 3:19Speaker 1: good Yiddish term, they covetch when other people are smart
- 3:22Speaker 1: enough to take advantage of a loophole that allows them
- 3:25Speaker 1: to do it. I say, either change the law or
- 3:28Speaker 1: we should all applaud the people who are smart enough
- 3:30Speaker 1: to use it. It's as simple as that, right, Joe
- 3:32Speaker 1: and Elmwood, good morning.
- 3:34Speaker 4: Good morning Ken. We heard four hundred. There was more
- 3:38Speaker 4: than four hundred, and that's the start.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Yeah, well, Joe, let me back up. It's four hundred
- 3:41Speaker 1: who they say actually voted, but there were tens of
- 3:45Speaker 1: thousands potentially who are registered.
- 3:48Speaker 4: And we heard one story of fraud and then ale
- 3:50Speaker 4: it's crickets. There must be thousands of fraud in New Jersey.
- 3:54Speaker 5: Okay, and one more boy.
- 3:56Speaker 4: Kudos to Ireland because they had enough. The people are up.
- 4:00Speaker 4: They had enough with the illegals.
- 4:02Speaker 1: I know, and listen, not only I'll tell you when
- 4:05Speaker 1: we know what's going on over in Europe. Europe is
- 4:09Speaker 1: always about six to nine months ahead of what we're
- 4:11Speaker 1: going to see here. And in Europe they are now
- 4:13Speaker 1: fed up. The European Union has voted to kick out
- 4:16Speaker 1: illegal migrants finally, so now they're just beginning the process.
- 4:20Speaker 1: The fact that they're doing that, they're fed up. That
- 4:23Speaker 1: tells me that America is going to get to a point.
- 4:24Speaker 1: If you think they had enough, and that's why they
- 4:27Speaker 1: elected Trump, you just wait, people. If the Democrats, God forbid,
- 4:31Speaker 1: get into power and they start switching things around and
- 4:34Speaker 1: letting letting people in illegally again, You're going to see
- 4:37Speaker 1: an uprising like you've never seen before. All right, Joe,
- 4:40Speaker 1: thank you so much. Say hello my buddies in New Jersey.
- 4:43Speaker 1: Love it Ja. All right, my friend Robert in Westchester,
- 4:46Speaker 1: good morning. You're on the marximone show.
- 4:49Speaker 5: Good morning, Ken. How are you.
- 4:51Speaker 1: I'm great. Yeah, that's where I'm born and raised in
- 4:54Speaker 1: you Rochelle.
- 4:55Speaker 5: Ah, See, why'd you move though? I know why you
- 4:58Speaker 5: moved it?
- 4:59Speaker 1: No, honestly, I I'll tell you why I moved. I'll
- 5:01Speaker 1: tell you right now. When I had moved to Miami
- 5:03Speaker 1: because I was working for a TV station there. When
- 5:06Speaker 1: I came back to the New York area, I initially
- 5:08Speaker 1: went back to Nurschelle, but because I was working a
- 5:10Speaker 1: Channel seven, which is on the West side of Manhattan,
- 5:13Speaker 1: to commute down from Narrochelle and Crosstown took me like
- 5:17Speaker 1: an extra hour, and I said, I'm tired of crossing Manhattan.
- 5:20Speaker 1: And that's why I moved to New Jersey. It's easy
- 5:22Speaker 1: to come into the West Side from New Jersey than
- 5:24Speaker 1: it is from west Chester. That's the honest reason I
- 5:27Speaker 1: believe you.
- 5:28Speaker 5: I believe it. I mean, when I first moved into Westchester,
- 5:31Speaker 5: it was a paradise, but rob Astorno was the executive
- 5:36Speaker 5: at the time, and it was more of our thinking.
- 5:39Speaker 5: Now it is, it's like the Titanic. I'm scrambling to
- 5:43Speaker 5: get to the top of the bow. But if I
- 5:45Speaker 5: get on a lifeboat and get out of here, believe me,
- 5:48Speaker 5: I would. But I have a question for you. The
- 5:50Speaker 5: first is this guy ass Off I believe is his name.
- 5:54Speaker 5: He's running for Senate. I heard he's leading in the polls.
- 5:58Speaker 5: Please tell me that's incorrect.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Yeah, yes, don't follow the polls this far out. That
- 6:02Speaker 1: means nothing. Remember who was leading in the polls in
- 6:05Speaker 1: twenty fourteen for president? Do you remember?
- 6:08Speaker 2: Oh?
- 6:08Speaker 5: I absolutely do.
- 6:09Speaker 2: Oh.
- 6:10Speaker 1: I tell everybody. Tell everybody who was leading in the
- 6:12Speaker 1: polls in twenty fourteen.
- 6:14Speaker 5: Twenty fourteen. If it was the Democrat it was Hillary.
- 6:18Speaker 1: No, well yes, But who was the Republican who was
- 6:21Speaker 1: way ahead, like ninety percent?
- 6:23Speaker 5: George Bush Junior? It was Jeb I'm no, Jeb Jeb right,
- 6:28Speaker 5: Jeb Bush.
- 6:28Speaker 1: And you know what Jeb Bush ended up getting in
- 6:30Speaker 1: the primaries three percent. So that just tells you, I mean,
- 6:34Speaker 1: and that was a matter of like less than a year,
- 6:36Speaker 1: he went from ninety percent to three percent. So don't
- 6:40Speaker 1: don't get excited by this. He is the flavored du
- 6:43Speaker 1: jour for the Democrats. There's a lot of time. There's
- 6:47Speaker 1: a lot of time left, so don't don't yeah this way.
- 6:50Speaker 5: I believe you, Paisan, I believe you. The only thing
- 6:52Speaker 5: is that George is supposed to be like one of
- 6:54Speaker 5: us is supposed to be a red state. That's the
- 6:56Speaker 5: only thing that makes me. It unnerves me. But my
- 6:59Speaker 5: next thing that I and I say. I had a
- 7:00Speaker 5: friend of mine, he served in Afghanistan. He was a
- 7:04Speaker 5: marine and he was a young man. This kid was
- 7:08Speaker 5: blown out of his jeep by one of those improvised
- 7:11Speaker 5: exploit iudsed.
- 7:14Speaker 1: Iud is something entirely different.
- 7:17Speaker 5: Right, I know, I keep on getting those two. I'm
- 7:19Speaker 5: so sorry everyone, but you know what happened. He dusted
- 7:23Speaker 5: himself off, he got checked out, and he stayed with
- 7:26Speaker 5: his with his troops, with his Marines. I begged him
- 7:29Speaker 5: to call you guys and say he wouldn't even do
- 7:32Speaker 5: that because he says it's not my place to do that.
- 7:36Speaker 5: And I don't mean to throw his spursions or whatever
- 7:38Speaker 5: but it just disheartens me that our navy, the guys
- 7:41Speaker 5: are said, guys, you're on his shit. Nobody's shooting at you,
- 7:45Speaker 5: not being blown out of it. I don't know what
- 7:47Speaker 5: how this ain't Oh, the toilets smell like molde and
- 7:51Speaker 5: a couple of other things. I mean, really, we're fighting
- 7:54Speaker 5: an enemy that wants to destroy us. These people have
- 7:57Speaker 5: been killing us for fifty years. I mean, when I
- 8:00Speaker 5: saw doing the bise the semi bise a tenu, what
- 8:05Speaker 5: the American troops went through in Valley Forge, those kids
- 8:08Speaker 5: knew they would dine, but they wouldn't weave. They stayed
- 8:11Speaker 5: at valleys because they believed in having a nation. That's
- 8:15Speaker 5: it's just we're a.
- 8:16Speaker 1: Softer generation of people. We're softer, you know, come on,
- 8:19Speaker 1: let's face it. In World War Two, people sixteen year
- 8:23Speaker 1: olds lied about their age in order to get into
- 8:26Speaker 1: the military because they were raised with a certain level
- 8:29Speaker 1: of pride of their country, that they had to serve
- 8:31Speaker 1: the country no matter what ei there was a valor
- 8:34Speaker 1: in going off and defending your nation. Today it's about,
- 8:37Speaker 1: you know, living in mommy and Daddy's basement and playing
- 8:39Speaker 1: with video games, and you know that doesn't mean listen,
- 8:43Speaker 1: God bless I didn't volunteer for the military. So I'm
- 8:45Speaker 1: not going to say that God bless all of them
- 8:47Speaker 1: for doing it. But I think we're raised in a
- 8:49Speaker 1: softer environment. We have our air conditioning, and suddenly you're
- 8:52Speaker 1: put in a cramped environment. You have to sleep twelve on,
- 8:55Speaker 1: twelve off in the same bunk with people. It's a
- 8:57Speaker 1: different thing. And you know, we're just not used to
- 9:00Speaker 1: that kind of lifestyle anymore.
- 9:02Speaker 5: No. Absolutely, But you know what I called you a
- 9:04Speaker 5: while ago, and I said that same point about World
- 9:06Speaker 5: War Two. Those kids who volunteered lived through the depression,
- 9:11Speaker 5: they had nothing, and you know what they did the
- 9:14Speaker 5: next day, They went to vote to fight. On a
- 9:18Speaker 5: vote here I go again to register to serve. I
- 9:21Speaker 5: imagine that their country, they were living on poison food.
- 9:25Speaker 5: I mean, they just but they knew they had to
- 9:27Speaker 5: defend this great country.
- 9:28Speaker 1: Hey, I'll give you one more, Robert. How about the
- 9:31Speaker 1: African Americans in World War Two who still volunteered to
- 9:34Speaker 1: fight in spite of the fact that they were segregated
- 9:37Speaker 1: in the military. How would you like my friend, my
- 9:39Speaker 1: dear friend, Laurie Stokes, God bless her. We used to
- 9:42Speaker 1: work at Channel seven together one of my dearest friends.
- 9:44Speaker 1: She's phenomenal. Laurie's dad who became a congressman, Congressman Lewis Stokes,
- 9:49Speaker 1: and it was just the anniversary of his passing the
- 9:51Speaker 1: other day. Congressman Stokes was in the Navy and he
- 9:56Speaker 1: was segregated. He wasn't allowed to directly face people he
- 10:00Speaker 1: served in the mess hall. You had to do it
- 10:02Speaker 1: through some back window or something. Yet he still did it.
- 10:06Speaker 1: Why because he was proud to be an American. It
- 10:08Speaker 1: was more important to him to be an American and
- 10:10Speaker 1: even though he was treated with disrespect than to not
- 10:13Speaker 1: be an American. That's your talk about. That's commitment. Hello.
- 10:18Speaker 1: So these people, God bless them and God rest their souls.
- 10:21Speaker 1: These are the great patriots. And unfortunately you have the
- 10:25Speaker 1: left being poisoned by communism and socialism from around the world,
- 10:29Speaker 1: so that kids are being raised, thanks to the idiots
- 10:31Speaker 1: and academia, being raised to hate this country and hate
- 10:34Speaker 1: tradition and hate morals. Literally everything we were taught was
- 10:38Speaker 1: right is now being told to us as being wrong. Robert,
- 10:41Speaker 1: we love when you call my friend. We got to
- 10:43Speaker 1: take a break, but thank you so much for calling
- 10:45Speaker 1: in on the Mark Simone Show seven ten w R,
- 10:48Speaker 1: The Voice of New York, Partly Cloudy Today, Hizapra seventies,
- 10:51Speaker 1: Ken Rozotto went from Mark on Your Friday, and a
- 10:53Speaker 1: little bit later in the show, we're going to talk
- 10:55Speaker 1: with Roger Ebert. If Showbiz four one one get an
- 10:58Speaker 1: idea what movies to check out during the rainy weekend.
- 11:00Speaker 1: We're coming right back
