- 0:16Speaker 1: in America, according to a research study by a travel
- 0:19Speaker 1: technology company called Holafly. Miami ranked highest in the U.S.
- 0:23Speaker 1: for relaxation thanks to its year-round sunshine, miles of beaches,
- 0:27Speaker 1: wellness centers, hotel spas. and more than 1,000 acres of
- 0:31Speaker 1: urban green space.
- 0:32Speaker 2: That sounds good.
- 0:33Speaker 1: Yep. The study analyzed cities based on factors like access
- 0:38Speaker 1: to parks, air quality, happiness levels, traffic, and wellness amenities.
- 0:43Speaker 1: Miami earned a relaxation score of 63.3 out of 100
- 0:47Speaker 1: and was the only U.S. city to crack the global
- 0:50Speaker 1: top 10 of the most relaxing cities in the world.
- 0:54Speaker 1: So do you want to do the whole world? You
- 0:56Speaker 1: do it, Christine. I don't care if you do 1
- 0:57Speaker 1: to 10 or 10 to 1. Just what are the
- 0:59Speaker 1: most relaxing cities in the world? In the whole world. Okay.
- 1:02Speaker 1: All we know is Miami is in the top 10,
- 1:03Speaker 1: and that's the only city in America in the top 10.
- 1:06Speaker 2: All right. So in the whole world, the most relaxing
- 1:08Speaker 2: cities came in at number one, Copenhagen in Denmark.
- 1:12Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:12Speaker 2: I've never been. You, Kevin?
- 1:14Speaker 1: I think I flew through there once.
- 1:15Speaker 2: You flew through. Okay, so you can't tell if you
- 1:17Speaker 2: could chill out there. Barcelona, Spain comes in second.
- 1:21Speaker 1: Never been. Want to go.
- 1:22Speaker 2: Definitely. And number three, my favorite, Vienna, Austria.
- 1:26Speaker 1: Have you been?
- 1:27Speaker 2: Well, twice now.
- 1:28Speaker 1: Oh, that's right.
- 1:29Speaker 2: Yeah. And I'm trying to go for a third time.
- 1:31Speaker 1: Because you love it that much.
- 1:32Speaker 2: I love it that much. So I've been talking to
- 1:34Speaker 2: Eric about this. I'm trying to get a plan together
- 1:37Speaker 2: where we could go to Vienna for the Christmas markets
- 1:41Speaker 2: and then go over to Salzburg because they have beautiful
- 1:44Speaker 2: markets too. But they do a Sound of Music tour.
- 1:46Speaker 1: It sounds like you've already mapped this out.
- 1:49Speaker 2: I did. I did.
- 1:51Speaker 1: So we know where you're going for the Christmas break already.
- 1:53Speaker 1: And your birthday break.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Yeah, thank you.
- 1:56Speaker 1: Because you're December 26th.
- 1:57Speaker 2: Yes, so if we can pull it off. Just a
- 2:00Speaker 2: side note. Okay. Vancouver, Canada comes in fourth. Vancouver's really beautiful. Oslo,
- 2:06Speaker 2: Norway in fifth. I'm looking at you, Cubby, because you
- 2:09Speaker 2: get out more than I do. Miami, Florida. They're at
- 2:11Speaker 2: number six. Number seven, Munich, Germany, which is beautiful.
- 2:14Speaker 1: I've been there. My wife used to live there, and
- 2:16Speaker 1: it is a very, very awesome town. It's a great city.
- 2:18Speaker 1: It's a busy city, but there are also plenty of
- 2:21Speaker 1: ways to relax in Munich. There are.
- 2:22Speaker 2: It's laid out beautifully. Singapore.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Hello. Just there.
- 2:26Speaker 2: You were just there. You loved it, right?
- 2:27Speaker 1: And I absolutely loved it. It's almost like a Miami
- 2:30Speaker 1: in a way. Oh, wow. Like, yeah, it's busy. It's
- 2:32Speaker 1: got crazy nightlife and all that, but also... You've got
- 2:35Speaker 1: wellness centers, hotels, spas, and lots of green space.
- 2:38Speaker 2: Wow.
- 2:39Speaker 1: So it's very similar to Miami.
- 2:40Speaker 2: Nice. Rome, Italy comes in ninth place.
- 2:44Speaker 1: That's another busy city, though. Yeah. You're walking a lot.
- 2:46Speaker 1: Love it.
- 2:47Speaker 2: I didn't find it relaxing because we were active. I
- 2:51Speaker 2: was like you, 25,000 steps a day because I want
- 2:53Speaker 2: to see everything.
- 2:55Speaker 1: It's almost like you have to go into a vacation
- 2:57Speaker 1: saying to yourself, either we're doing a lot of work
- 2:59Speaker 1: in here and we're walking a lot, or we're going
- 3:01Speaker 1: to be just Relax. So if you go to Rome
- 3:04Speaker 1: with chill on your mind, maybe you can obtain that.
- 3:07Speaker 2: A whole different experience.
- 3:08Speaker 1: Right.
- 3:09Speaker 2: And number 10 is Amsterdam in the Netherlands. I'd also
- 3:12Speaker 2: like to go there.
- 3:13Speaker 1: I was just there in February. Yeah. It was very nice.
- 3:15Speaker 1: A little chilly in February, but it was very nice.
- 3:17Speaker 1: It's okay.
- 3:18Speaker 2: It looks like a gorgeous city. You've got Van Gogh.
- 3:20Speaker 2: You have all that beautiful art.
- 3:21Speaker 1: All right. So if you want to relax, the only
- 3:24Speaker 1: place in America is Miami. And then you've got the
- 3:27Speaker 1: rest of the world to explore.
- 3:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Explore. Light FM.
