LIBERALITY
Liberality consists in being ready and willing, for the love of God, to give pecuniary assistance to those who are in need.
By liberality we obtain forgiveness of sin, an eternal re ward, and temporal blessings, besides a speedy answer to prayer and the friendship of our fellow-men.
THE OPPOSITE OF LIBERALITY: AVARICE.
Avarice consists in an inordinate craving for riches, which makes a man not only strive after them, but refuse to give any portion of his goods to the poor.
