- 0:00Speaker 1: And we have our one and only, fearless leader, our
- 0:02Speaker 1: captain to take us home with some closing remarks to
- 0:06Speaker 1: get us through the day.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Steve, I think I decided to do something a little
- 0:11Speaker 2: bit different today. I want to give you a bullet
- 0:14Speaker 2: point list of things to consider on your journey. I
- 0:21Speaker 2: want to give you some bullet points to protect yourself
- 0:26Speaker 2: as you're climbing the letter to success. These bullet points
- 0:32Speaker 2: are things that all of us will can and have experienced,
- 0:38Speaker 2: and they come over and over and over at different
- 0:42Speaker 2: levels in different times. Now, the things I'm about to
- 0:45Speaker 2: share with you are not the only things, and I
- 0:50Speaker 2: don't have them in any particular order. I just wanted
- 0:54Speaker 2: to share them with you. These are what I call
- 0:58Speaker 2: dream crushes. I can't tell you how many people I
- 1:02Speaker 2: know who have had wonderful aspirations and dreams and got
- 1:06Speaker 2: started and they allowed these dreams to get crushed.
- 1:11Speaker 3: And I know a lot of them now.
- 1:13Speaker 2: Only I'm not gonna name all of them, but I
- 1:15Speaker 2: am gonna name some of them. And I want you
- 1:18Speaker 2: all to think about them as I list them, so
- 1:20Speaker 2: you can be on guard for them because they are coming. Oh,
- 1:25Speaker 2: don't you think for one moment that they are not coming.
- 1:30Speaker 2: These are some of the dream crushes that you'll encounter.
- 1:35Speaker 2: The first one I simply call background chatter. Somehow, when
- 1:41Speaker 2: you're on your way, you hear the murmuring in the crowd,
- 1:46Speaker 2: You hear the naysayers.
- 1:48Speaker 3: You just hear it this constantly. Here here she come again. Oh, hey,
- 1:54Speaker 3: how you doing? Oh?
- 1:56Speaker 2: Here he come with that old crazy man. Have you
- 1:58Speaker 2: seen what he thought he was going to be? Anybody
- 2:01Speaker 2: y'all seeing his dream?
- 2:02Speaker 3: Boyd? It's so crazy. Hey, how you doing?
- 2:06Speaker 2: Man?
- 2:07Speaker 3: That's all right.
- 2:09Speaker 2: M And you hear stuff like this, I call it
- 2:13Speaker 2: background chatter. It can be very very rough if you
- 2:17Speaker 2: get it on a constant basis. Those are one of
- 2:19Speaker 2: the dream crushers. Be very very careful. Here's another dream
- 2:25Speaker 2: dream crusher comparisons to others. See when you're building your house,
- 2:31Speaker 2: when you're building your road, when you're building your building,
- 2:35Speaker 2: don't look across the street at the other house, the
- 2:39Speaker 2: other structure, and the other building. First of all, you
- 2:42Speaker 2: don't know what's under the foundation of what appears to
- 2:47Speaker 2: be a grand building. Now you trying to build your
- 2:50Speaker 2: solid on the great foundation, rock by rock, level by level,
- 2:54Speaker 2: But you're looking over there, and somebody halfway up with
- 2:56Speaker 2: a skyride, and you try to figure out why it's
- 2:58Speaker 2: taking you so long. You you don't even know that
- 3:01Speaker 2: they done built that on saying you don't even know
- 3:04Speaker 2: that there's no flooring behind it, that it ain't nothing
- 3:06Speaker 2: but a shell. Be careful of comparing your building to others,
- 3:10Speaker 2: because what you see across the street might not be
- 3:13Speaker 2: the same. Those are dream crushes. Here's another one, a
- 3:17Speaker 2: well timed setback. Right when you think things are going along,
- 3:21Speaker 2: all of a sudden, something just pops up. You know
- 3:24Speaker 2: what that is. It's called life. It just surfaces. It's
- 3:27Speaker 2: surfaces for all of us, y'all. It's just life. It's
- 3:30Speaker 2: nothing aimed directly at you. It's not, but it's not
- 3:34Speaker 2: resigned and particularly your situation. Everybody got them, well timed setbacks,
- 3:41Speaker 2: crushed dreams all the time. Be ready because there will
- 3:45Speaker 2: be some. Here's another one. I want you to be careful, love,
- 3:48Speaker 2: watch out for statistics. Statistics were designed by people who
- 3:53Speaker 2: were failing to justify their failure. One out of every
- 3:56Speaker 2: four hundred, you know, only two in a million. Forget,
- 4:01Speaker 2: I wouldn't play that lotto because the only person to
- 4:03Speaker 2: hear is today say is one in two hundred and
- 4:05Speaker 2: eighty five million chances. Statistics stop so many people because
- 4:10Speaker 2: they keep putting yourself in the one. You either put
- 4:14Speaker 2: yourself in the one, or you put yourself in the group.
- 4:17Speaker 2: You know, one out of every two thousand comedians make
- 4:19Speaker 2: it on the Johnny Carson Show.
- 4:21Speaker 3: That was the stat I heard way back when I
- 4:22Speaker 3: got started. Man only one.
- 4:26Speaker 2: And if people started looking at themselves as the one
- 4:29Speaker 2: nine hundred and ninety nine, now you know what I did.
- 4:32Speaker 2: I looked at myself as just the one. Net statistics
- 4:35Speaker 2: are dream crushers. Here's another one right here. Social media comments.
- 4:40Speaker 2: Beware those people don't know you. They really don't. They
- 4:44Speaker 2: know nothing about you. Matter of fact, they only had
- 4:47Speaker 2: one design in mind, and that is to discourage you.
- 4:49Speaker 2: Social media comments are a big dream crusher. Be careful
- 4:53Speaker 2: of Facebook. Everybody wanting to be your friend ain't your friend.
- 4:57Speaker 2: Watch out. It could be a possible dream crusher. On Facebook.
- 5:02Speaker 2: You didn't get no likes, you didn't get no comment,
- 5:05Speaker 2: they didn't befriend you, they didn't like your picture, they
- 5:08Speaker 2: didn't tell you about it. Everybody got to notice about
- 5:11Speaker 2: the party. But you dream crushes. Be very careful. Here's
- 5:15Speaker 2: another one. Stop talking to small minded people. They are
- 5:19Speaker 2: dangerous dream crushes. If you want to kill a big dream,
- 5:22Speaker 2: tell it to a small minded person. Be very careful.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Uh oh, here's another one that's a dream crusher. They're
- 5:29Speaker 2: called fair weather friends. Sometimes they good with you, sometimes
- 5:33Speaker 2: they ain't. They just friendly when it's sunny, but when
- 5:36Speaker 2: it get dark and gloomy outside, you can't find them.
- 5:38Speaker 2: They are potential dream crushers. Get rid of them very quickly.
- 5:42Speaker 2: Well meaning relatives, uh oh, one of the greatest dream
- 5:46Speaker 2: crushes of all time. Well meaning relatives, Be careful, because
- 5:50Speaker 2: all your relatives really don't mean well. Sorry, they are
- 5:54Speaker 2: dream crushers. At last, but not least yourself. Don't let
- 6:00Speaker 2: yourself be your biggest dream crusher. When things ain't going right,
- 6:03Speaker 2: pray about it, get it turned around. Those are my
- 6:05Speaker 2: closing remarks. But beware of the dream crushes.
- 6:08Speaker 3: All right, Mike, I love profound.
