- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous Podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:05Speaker 2: It's another episode of the Almost Famous podcast. We're here
- 0:08Speaker 2: this week to break down the Golden Bachelor. Yes, we're
- 0:11Speaker 2: one week ahead from going to hometowns and yes again
- 0:16Speaker 2: today we have an amazing grandma coming on to help
- 0:20Speaker 2: us break down this episode.
- 0:21Speaker 3: It's been fun, it's been exciting. And Ashley, how are
- 0:24Speaker 3: you doing.
- 0:25Speaker 4: I'm good.
- 0:25Speaker 5: Ben.
- 0:26Speaker 4: You're in Hawaii.
- 0:28Speaker 3: I am in Hawaii. I am in Hawaii right now.
- 0:30Speaker 3: We're here for a few more days. In fact, today
- 0:35Speaker 3: our big adventure is we're going on.
- 0:37Speaker 2: A all day boat ride storkled tour and I hope
- 0:42Speaker 2: to see.
- 0:45Speaker 3: A big turtle.
- 0:47Speaker 4: Okay, cool? Is this vacation.
- 0:51Speaker 3: Kind of sort of it?
- 0:52Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 0:52Speaker 2: It you know my you know about my golf tournament
- 0:56Speaker 2: that I talk about now for the next eight weeks
- 0:58Speaker 2: of my life, Orlando, Florida. Yeah, it's with Hilton, and
- 1:04Speaker 2: so that's a Hilton Grand Vacations tournament champion. So they
- 1:08Speaker 2: asked us to come down to Hilton Grand Vacations in
- 1:11Speaker 2: Hawaii to kind of see the property, and we obviously
- 1:15Speaker 2: gladly obliged, and so the four of us came down
- 1:19Speaker 2: to do this.
- 1:19Speaker 3: It worked out perfect.
- 1:21Speaker 2: I couldn't go to Bean's bachelor party, actually, and so
- 1:27Speaker 2: Dean and Kaalen came down because this is like his
- 1:32Speaker 2: bachelor party point two, except I've been in bed by
- 1:34Speaker 2: nine o'clock every night and I've been waking up at
- 1:38Speaker 2: five point thirty due to the time change.
- 1:39Speaker 3: So we've just been.
- 1:40Speaker 5: Chilling nice, very lovely. Do you see that it's a
- 1:44Speaker 5: place that possibly Gary could have his.
- 1:48Speaker 4: Fantasy sweet week? Is he gonna have a fantasy Sweet week?
- 1:51Speaker 3: He is going to have a fantasy season?
- 1:53Speaker 4: Is it really though?
- 1:53Speaker 5: Because Hometowns is just the top three, not top four,
- 1:59Speaker 5: and then we're gonna have narrowed down to two ladies,
- 2:01Speaker 5: and then you think they're gonna have overnights.
- 2:04Speaker 4: Yeah, I have Q.
- 2:07Speaker 2: I have some secret information, not a spoiler, not a spoiler,
- 2:12Speaker 2: because I do not know how this plays out, but
- 2:14Speaker 2: I do know they had fantasy suites.
- 2:16Speaker 3: And the reason is is there might have been a
- 2:21Speaker 3: little birdie that might.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Have asked if I'd be interested in coming down, not
- 2:27Speaker 2: to be a part of fantasy.
- 2:28Speaker 3: But to him in that.
- 2:31Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know how to say that.
- 2:35Speaker 4: Him through that week.
- 2:38Speaker 2: Yeah, but even that sounds weird too to sit beside
- 2:44Speaker 2: him and hold his hand as he walks. Anyways, he
- 2:48Speaker 2: is going to have fantasy suites.
- 2:50Speaker 4: Okay, but I'm assuming it'll just be with the top two.
- 2:53Speaker 3: Yeah, it's with two people.
- 2:55Speaker 5: My takeaway from this episode, I just like can't believe
- 2:58Speaker 5: he picked us over Ellen.
- 3:01Speaker 4: Like, Teresa is just too much for me.
- 3:05Speaker 5: She's just like, I know, she's being open and really
- 3:11Speaker 5: expressing how into it she is, but she's just a
- 3:13Speaker 5: little bit desperate to me.
- 3:16Speaker 2: That's interesting. So as you think about this, would you
- 3:20Speaker 2: have fallen more on the side of Kathy than Teresa.
- 3:25Speaker 5: Well, yeah, so I wasn't here when you recapped last week. Yeah,
- 3:29Speaker 5: and I don't know neither of them. I could like
- 3:31Speaker 5: take totally seriously because they're just like kind of hilarious characters.
- 3:36Speaker 5: So I understand that he wasn't into Kathy as much
- 3:40Speaker 5: as he is to Teresa, which is why he had
- 3:42Speaker 5: to let her go.
- 3:44Speaker 7: But I'm like, I don't know Ellen, and between Ellen
- 3:47Speaker 7: and Theresa seems pretty close, and I just I just
- 3:50Speaker 7: would have preferred to hang out with Ellen.
- 3:52Speaker 2: I guess, well, And I think it's there's so much
- 3:57Speaker 2: to what you're saying that's intriguing to me. One is
- 3:59Speaker 2: that you're invested, Like you are invested into each one
- 4:03Speaker 2: of these women, and you're invested in the Gary, but
- 4:05Speaker 2: like you can pull back each woman's name and their
- 4:09Speaker 2: character and how much that you felt for them or
- 4:11Speaker 2: maybe not for them through this season, which again to me,
- 4:15Speaker 2: is a mark of a really good season of The Bachelor,
- 4:18Speaker 2: Like we are watching something that we both enjoyed, that
- 4:21Speaker 2: we're invested into that you're saying, I can't believe he
- 4:23Speaker 2: chose so and so over so and so. Yeah, and
- 4:26Speaker 2: not every season the Bachelor we feel that way, Like
- 4:29Speaker 2: usually we're kind of maybe not Usually there's been seasons
- 4:33Speaker 2: where we've been fairly apathetic to the choices being made,
- 4:37Speaker 2: and this season, I think we're both deeply invested in
- 4:40Speaker 2: who he's choosing and why he's choosing them. I also
- 4:43Speaker 2: think Ashley, with what you're saying, we're seeing something interesting
- 4:50Speaker 2: where for me, he is into a certain type.
- 4:53Speaker 4: Yeah, I know all the top three like have well
- 4:56Speaker 4: they're burnettes.
- 4:58Speaker 2: Well, but I would say the Leslie and Tie says
- 5:01Speaker 2: are more similar than.
- 5:02Speaker 3: The Leslie's and Ellen's.
- 5:04Speaker 2: Ellen feels like to me, she's not gonna she's not
- 5:07Speaker 2: gonna have a hard time finding love like she feels
- 5:09Speaker 2: like to me, somebody who wants to settle down, who's
- 5:12Speaker 2: going to be an incredible partner to somebody who wants
- 5:15Speaker 2: to be the support system. And these other women I
- 5:18Speaker 2: feel the same way about it. I'm not like, I
- 5:20Speaker 2: don't have any red flags about any of them, but
- 5:22Speaker 2: I do feel like there may be a little more
- 5:25Speaker 2: like Sponge. Yes, yeah, yeah.
- 5:32Speaker 7: Well we got Diana, our Grandma of the Week.
- 5:35Speaker 5: In this in the studio, the Zoom studio right now,
- 5:37Speaker 5: so we want to bring her in and write into
- 5:40Speaker 5: this conversation. Diana, what is your take on Gary's top three?
- 5:44Speaker 5: Because we have Teresa, Leslie and Faith Now, I think
- 5:49Speaker 5: my personal opinion is that Teresa was the teeter tatter
- 5:53Speaker 5: and that he's really into Fad and Leslie what's your name?
- 5:56Speaker 6: Well, my belief all the women are terrific. I really
- 6:00Speaker 6: like the women. They're great. But there's only two. Truthfully,
- 6:04Speaker 6: there's only two. There's Faith and sorry I'm so good.
- 6:11Speaker 3: Leslie.
- 6:11Speaker 6: Yes, you know, and it's so true. They're dark hair.
- 6:16Speaker 6: They're dark hair, and believe me, I used to be
- 6:20Speaker 6: dark hair. And when you're older. When you're older as
- 6:24Speaker 6: an older woman, you know, being in my sixties, my
- 6:28Speaker 6: late sixties, you know, it's hard out there. So all
- 6:33Speaker 6: these women, they're so hungry, and I understand what they need.
- 6:37Speaker 6: And he's hungry too. But there's only two in the running.
- 6:40Speaker 6: The other girls are nice, but it's not happening.
- 6:44Speaker 3: So, Diana, thank you for joining almost in this podcast.
- 6:48Speaker 3: By the way, it means so much.
- 6:49Speaker 6: Thank you so much for inviting me.
- 6:52Speaker 2: Yeah, you're going to hang out with us. A little
- 6:54Speaker 2: bit about you. How did we find you? How did
- 6:58Speaker 2: you get connected almost in this podcast?
- 7:00Speaker 6: Yes, okay, well, Heather, which is you know, I'm an actress.
- 7:06Speaker 6: I'm an actress. I'm a jack of all trades and
- 7:10Speaker 6: pretty much a master of none. But I enjoy what
- 7:13Speaker 6: I do pretty much. So I'm original soul trained dancer
- 7:17Speaker 6: number one of the seventies right on magazine I have.
- 7:21Speaker 6: If you look up my name, Diana Brunner Puscis, it's
- 7:24Speaker 6: I'm a you know, it's pretty much. I was the
- 7:26Speaker 6: original soul trained dancer. And then from there, you know,
- 7:30Speaker 6: traveling modeling career in New York and then moving back,
- 7:34Speaker 6: getting married to a very distinguished guy who owned a
- 7:38Speaker 6: huge company in Orange County. And then I started acting again,
- 7:43Speaker 6: you know, and I my old girlfriend Queen Turner started
- 7:49Speaker 6: from the Icatina Turner family. She started Diva Glamas. So
- 7:53Speaker 6: that ended up you know, wrong studio, you know, but
- 7:56Speaker 6: that's Hollywood, and uh, it ended up being a year.
- 7:59Speaker 6: And beside that, I have a new movie which I'm
- 8:03Speaker 6: in and it's called Redemption, and holiday's Redemption and it's
- 8:13Speaker 6: with German on foot and his name is Kiss thirteen.
- 8:17Speaker 6: It's going to be big. And he's also doing the
- 8:19Speaker 6: Cat Califwaey movie. I'm not in that one, but I
- 8:22Speaker 6: am going to do a cameo for that one once
- 8:24Speaker 6: it gets totally funded. So yeah, there's tons of exciting things.
- 8:30Speaker 4: So we don't have a grandma today.
- 8:32Speaker 5: We have a grandma, yeah grandma and a glandma.
- 8:37Speaker 6: Yeah yeah, definitely a gladma because I have I have
- 8:43Speaker 6: a lot of grandkids and they're my step grandkids because
- 8:49Speaker 6: I you know, I was one of these women that
- 8:51Speaker 6: had the career first and then didn't have kids. But
- 8:54Speaker 6: it's okay. I have my husband, you know, my ex
- 8:58Speaker 6: husband's kids.
- 8:58Speaker 3: So yeah, love is love is love.
- 9:01Speaker 2: And right now today we're going to break down this
- 9:05Speaker 2: episode leading up into Hometowns. You are watching, Diana, You're
- 9:10Speaker 2: could have been competition as we are witnessing and being
- 9:15Speaker 2: able to criticize and celebrate these amazing people who are one.
- 9:20Speaker 3: The Golden Bachelor. Let's kick it off from the beginning, Diana.
- 9:25Speaker 2: You know, this episode really started out with I think
- 9:28Speaker 2: for me an intrigue about faith, faith as a human,
- 9:32Speaker 2: not faith maybe as a subject. So faith as a
- 9:35Speaker 2: human I was curious about. We got to see her
- 9:38Speaker 2: kind of skyrocket to the top at the beginning of
- 9:41Speaker 2: this season. She was obviously one that everybody had their
- 9:44Speaker 2: eyes on. There's a target on her back. And then
- 9:46Speaker 2: in my opinion and I want to hear yours and Ashley's,
- 9:49Speaker 2: she took a big back seat for the rest of
- 9:51Speaker 2: the season. She hasn't really had a big role and
- 9:56Speaker 2: I didn't know where her relationship with Gary existed until
- 9:59Speaker 2: this episod. So how do you feel about Faith and
- 10:03Speaker 2: what do you think about their connection during their date?
- 10:06Speaker 6: Well, the very first date, there was definitely a connection
- 10:10Speaker 6: and he showed that. But then I just felt the
- 10:12Speaker 6: other ladies were very, very aggressive. They were extremely aggressive,
- 10:18Speaker 6: and you know Jewish girls, you know. My grandmother's Jewish,
- 10:21Speaker 6: so I know Jewish girls can be when they want
- 10:25Speaker 6: something go, they go after it. Let me tell you, so,
- 10:29Speaker 6: I think she kind of got she's a little insecure.
- 10:32Speaker 6: She's a little insecure, and she had to build up that.
- 10:36Speaker 6: Like I think if she would have been out there
- 10:37Speaker 6: a little bit more in his face, he would have
- 10:40Speaker 6: probably asked her out a little bit more.
- 10:52Speaker 2: You said something when we started out here. You said
- 10:56Speaker 2: that these girls are hungry. Okay, so you said that
- 11:00Speaker 2: these girls are hungry. I would love for you to
- 11:03Speaker 2: explain what you mean by hungry and if that is
- 11:06Speaker 2: a positive attribute or if it's something that maybe you're
- 11:10Speaker 2: cautious of now being hungry.
- 11:13Speaker 6: It's basically, when you get older, you become invisible. You
- 11:19Speaker 6: don't you know, you don't get all the like the
- 11:22Speaker 6: looks like when you used to be like in your
- 11:24Speaker 6: forties or your fifties. But when you reach that threshold,
- 11:29Speaker 6: you know, thank god, you know, I take care of
- 11:31Speaker 6: my skin, so I could be in my forties. Nobody
- 11:35Speaker 6: would really know, but I know, I know, and it's
- 11:40Speaker 6: something inside because you've been around the corner so many
- 11:44Speaker 6: times and you just don't get that many dates when
- 11:47Speaker 6: you get older, you really do become invisible.
- 11:51Speaker 3: Sure, sure, So the hungriness is to have.
- 11:56Speaker 6: Well they feel, you know, they haven't done it for
- 11:59Speaker 6: so long, so it's wonderful to have a man in
- 12:04Speaker 6: their presence, and they want this, They really want this,
- 12:07Speaker 6: so they're hungry. So I believe it's truly positive. I
- 12:11Speaker 6: try to keep my frequency extremely high, so I try
- 12:14Speaker 6: to just I give them all of them love. But
- 12:18Speaker 6: I just feel there's only two in the money.
- 12:21Speaker 3: That's fair. That's fair. One of the things that I'm
- 12:24Speaker 3: intrigued by.
- 12:24Speaker 2: We really haven't had anybody come and help us break
- 12:28Speaker 2: down an episode yet that has kind of had your perspective.
- 12:32Speaker 2: I feel like you have a perspective on desiring today.
- 12:36Speaker 2: You had just said, we've had most of the people
- 12:38Speaker 2: come on and they have said, hey, as you can,
- 12:40Speaker 2: only you feel more invisible. And I think that's a
- 12:43Speaker 2: very interesting piece of the Golden Bachelor to me, is
- 12:45Speaker 2: that I'm now believing and assuming that a lot of
- 12:48Speaker 2: people here have felt invisible and may be disconnected from
- 12:53Speaker 2: what they were used to when it comes to attention
- 12:55Speaker 2: and dating. So, now that we're getting down to this
- 12:59Speaker 2: final few women in, is it in their minds. Do
- 13:03Speaker 2: you think it's an excitement towards what could be in marriage,
- 13:06Speaker 2: in a partnership with Gary or is it still the
- 13:08Speaker 2: excitement of I'm just really happy that I'm still being
- 13:12Speaker 2: seen and being like affectionate towards somebody because it's been
- 13:16Speaker 2: so long.
- 13:17Speaker 6: No, I really believe these women they want marriage, because
- 13:21Speaker 6: marriage after you know, I got divorced at fifty one,
- 13:26Speaker 6: so it was very, very hard. You feel kind of abandoned,
- 13:29Speaker 6: and you know, you're so used to your best friend
- 13:33Speaker 6: and then he's gone, so and you know, older men
- 13:36Speaker 6: look at younger women, so you know, now the you know,
- 13:41Speaker 6: now it's like being alone starting over. So I really
- 13:46Speaker 6: believe these women are they're hungry because they they want
- 13:54Speaker 6: that companion. They want to be married, They want to
- 13:57Speaker 6: be you know, having dinners with their grandkids, kids and
- 14:01Speaker 6: family is everything. Family and you know I and I
- 14:04Speaker 6: really believe young people have have kind of lost that
- 14:07Speaker 6: because I have so many of my friends that don't
- 14:10Speaker 6: have kids. I went through in vitro. The whole thing
- 14:13Speaker 6: wasn't me, it was him, but you know, I tried everything,
- 14:16Speaker 6: but it's really, you know, it's beautiful having a family.
- 14:20Speaker 6: So these these women, they have families, so they just
- 14:24Speaker 6: want to get whole again. They want to find their
- 14:26Speaker 6: their their second part, you know, to make them whole.
- 14:30Speaker 6: So and I really believe that Gary, he's he's a
- 14:35Speaker 6: great guy, but I believe that he knows what he wants.
- 14:40Speaker 6: Just like he told the older lady, well, she's not
- 14:44Speaker 6: really older than him.
- 14:47Speaker 3: It was.
- 14:50Speaker 4: Age ellen.
- 14:51Speaker 6: Yeah, and he thought that she was not sexually up
- 14:58Speaker 6: to par to keep up with you.
- 15:00Speaker 4: Well, how do you know this? Tell us your insight?
- 15:03Speaker 6: Well, he had mentioned something like that on the show
- 15:08Speaker 6: that or during because it was my sister and I.
- 15:11Speaker 6: We were sitting in the living room and she was
- 15:14Speaker 6: saying to me, she says, I can't believe that he
- 15:16Speaker 6: had thought, you know that he doesn't think that she
- 15:21Speaker 6: could match his sexual appetite. I'll put it that way.
- 15:25Speaker 4: You sure you don't think that you're reading into something.
- 15:28Speaker 7: Because I didn't pick up on this really.
- 15:31Speaker 6: Yeah, No, I thought I felt that he probably thought
- 15:35Speaker 6: she was too old for him. You know the other
- 15:39Speaker 6: two girls, they look a lot younger, They look a
- 15:42Speaker 6: lot younger. Not putting anything down for her, she's beautiful,
- 15:45Speaker 6: she's beautiful, but I kind of felt what he was feeling.
- 15:50Speaker 2: You know, it could have been one of those situations
- 15:53Speaker 2: too that you're able to understand the language they're using
- 15:59Speaker 2: him on each other a ton better than I am.
- 16:03Speaker 2: Just like maybe if if you watched The Bachelor right now,
- 16:07Speaker 2: like there's gonna be that you maybe don't understand because
- 16:10Speaker 2: it's not it's on your generation, and so you could
- 16:15Speaker 2: be you know, seeing things and hearing things, and the
- 16:18Speaker 2: perspective that you're watching the show is different than the
- 16:20Speaker 2: perspective I'm watching the show, and then Ashley's watching the show,
- 16:23Speaker 2: and then somebody in their twenties is watching the show,
- 16:26Speaker 2: and and so if he maybe isn't as let's say,
- 16:31Speaker 2: physically attracted to Ellen as he is to the other woman,
- 16:33Speaker 2: I do think we've all now agreed that Gary definitely
- 16:38Speaker 2: has a type at this time in his life. They
- 16:40Speaker 2: are brunettes, and they are you know, maybe a little spunkier,
- 16:47Speaker 2: I would say, like they they are like a little
- 16:50Speaker 2: more like extravagantly.
- 16:53Speaker 4: Certain kind of energy.
- 16:55Speaker 2: Yeah, like an energy that brings out a child like
- 16:58Speaker 2: feeling in him.
- 16:59Speaker 3: And and one of.
- 17:00Speaker 2: The reasons I say that is because his group day,
- 17:02Speaker 2: which we need to jump to now, he wants to
- 17:05Speaker 2: bring out that childlike spirit and like he's ready, he's
- 17:10Speaker 2: having a carnival, saying a lotica peers. So he desires
- 17:13Speaker 2: that childlike energy still at this point in his life.
- 17:16Speaker 2: And that's where I come to you, Diana. So you know,
- 17:19Speaker 2: we've had some incredible people come out and help us
- 17:22Speaker 2: break down episodes. In each one of them, I think
- 17:25Speaker 2: have had a spirit amongst our conversations where they're saying,
- 17:30Speaker 2: you know, age, yes, is just a number, but age
- 17:33Speaker 2: also is something that doesn't restrict him from still wanting
- 17:36Speaker 2: to have a great time and have tons of energy
- 17:39Speaker 2: and do all they can in the course of the.
- 17:41Speaker 3: Day, and so they can't do anything anymore. That's kind
- 17:43Speaker 3: of how I feel about my life now.
- 17:45Speaker 2: So you know, with your friends and your group of
- 17:48Speaker 2: people around you, do you feel like most of the
- 17:51Speaker 2: people your age at this point still desire that child
- 17:54Speaker 2: like spirit and to still play and to still have fun.
- 17:58Speaker 3: Because I don't think that has.
- 18:01Speaker 2: Been a common feeling for a lot of generations of
- 18:03Speaker 2: the past were in their sixties and seventies, they're still
- 18:06Speaker 2: desiring to play.
- 18:08Speaker 6: Right right, And plus you know, something society has changed,
- 18:12Speaker 6: you know, I do you know I run on the
- 18:15Speaker 6: beach every single day, and I do see older women.
- 18:18Speaker 6: They're out there doing the yoga. They're trying to help
- 18:22Speaker 6: themselves mentally, physically. So it is out there now that
- 18:26Speaker 6: women have a lot more energy. For me, I don't like,
- 18:30Speaker 6: you know, I go on a dating site and all
- 18:32Speaker 6: these guys they look so big, got the beer belly.
- 18:34Speaker 6: I'm living in Florida now, I'm like, oh my god.
- 18:39Speaker 6: I'm like, I'm a California girl. I'm not used to.
- 18:42Speaker 2: That, you know.
- 18:43Speaker 6: But yeah, I think today a man wants somebody that
- 18:48Speaker 6: is spontaneous, someone to get in the jakuzi with, or say,
- 18:53Speaker 6: come on, let's zip off to a wonderful island of
- 18:56Speaker 6: scandals and have dinner and candlelight. Yeah. I think all
- 19:01Speaker 6: men want that. It's just the women, you know, they
- 19:03Speaker 6: get settled, they get mentally you know, oh I'm too
- 19:06Speaker 6: old for this. Hey, you got to get out of that,
- 19:09Speaker 6: you know.
- 19:11Speaker 5: So this week was the second week in a row
- 19:13Speaker 5: that we've seen some jealousy, totally understandable jealousy. Last week
- 19:17Speaker 5: we saw it with Kathy, and this week we're seeing
- 19:19Speaker 5: it with Leslie, who's just you know, she's like, I
- 19:22Speaker 5: don't want to hear about your date. I don't need
- 19:25Speaker 5: this a rollover. How would you feel if somebody came
- 19:29Speaker 5: in from a date with Gary or whoever your bachelor
- 19:31Speaker 5: was and started recapping the date.
- 19:34Speaker 6: Well, personally, I'm just not a tell all type of
- 19:39Speaker 6: girl when it's you know, it's between me and Gary,
- 19:41Speaker 6: and I want to give those girls something to really
- 19:45Speaker 6: think about, because I don't want to give them everything
- 19:49Speaker 6: what happened on my date with him, so she can
- 19:52Speaker 6: actually top it or try to do something more, much
- 19:55Speaker 6: more exciting, you know. So now, I'm not a you know,
- 19:59Speaker 6: tell a type of girl, and I believe that they
- 20:03Speaker 6: shouldn't be They really shouldn't. They should just zip it,
- 20:07Speaker 6: enjoy each other in the house, talk about their families,
- 20:11Speaker 6: but don't get into a competition, because I believe that
- 20:15Speaker 6: brings your frequency down, and the ones that have the
- 20:18Speaker 6: highest frequency, they're going to get all the good energy
- 20:21Speaker 6: coming to him. You know.
- 20:25Speaker 2: Well, I don't think you're wrong, and I do think
- 20:28Speaker 2: the frequency of the energy around Gary right now has
- 20:31Speaker 2: definitely attracted him to a certain group of women that
- 20:35Speaker 2: we obviously see make it at the end. The one
- 20:38Speaker 2: that maybe was a little more surprising to me that
- 20:41Speaker 2: didn't make it to the end. I don't know if
- 20:43Speaker 2: the chemistry was there, but somebody that definitely had the
- 20:46Speaker 2: energy was Susan.
- 20:49Speaker 3: Yes, Susan definitely lit up the room.
- 20:51Speaker 2: You could tell that she kind of carried the way
- 20:53Speaker 2: of connecting the group of people. She's Italian and she
- 20:57Speaker 2: loves to bring people together over food and over after
- 21:00Speaker 2: and over a good time. We saw her on this
- 21:02Speaker 2: group date with Gary. You know, Ellen though, really kind
- 21:08Speaker 2: of steals the show for me. This group date's beautiful.
- 21:11Speaker 2: They go to Santamonic Computer. They have a great time, right,
- 21:14Speaker 2: There's a lot of laughter, a lot of fun. I
- 21:16Speaker 2: do think the date accomplished what Gary was hoping for.
- 21:19Speaker 2: But Ellen's feelings for Gary continue to be expressed. And
- 21:23Speaker 2: I do believe her when she looks at him in
- 21:25Speaker 2: the eyes and sells him like I you know, I'm
- 21:27Speaker 2: falling in love with you.
- 21:28Speaker 3: I am in love with you, and I see a
- 21:31Speaker 3: future with you.
- 21:33Speaker 2: I believe that Gary was infatuated with this last week.
- 21:36Speaker 2: You could start to see this week obviously where he
- 21:39Speaker 2: starts to pull.
- 21:40Speaker 6: Back right, Well, don't that a little bit when they
- 21:46Speaker 6: get a little scared, you know?
- 21:49Speaker 2: Yeah, So what do you think happened. I mean, what
- 21:51Speaker 2: do you think happened from your perspective for Gary this week?
- 21:56Speaker 2: Where last week he was saying, I haven't felt this
- 21:59Speaker 2: way or haven't said these words, you know, since his
- 22:01Speaker 2: late wife, and now this week, you know, she's saying
- 22:04Speaker 2: I need some validation. He's saying, I can't give it
- 22:06Speaker 2: to you yet. And I think I obviously pointed to
- 22:08Speaker 2: the fact that you know, she wasn't going to be
- 22:10Speaker 2: there for hometowns.
- 22:12Speaker 3: What do you think happened?
- 22:14Speaker 6: I just felt that he wasn't into it. I don't
- 22:17Speaker 6: think so, you know, and just like I really like
- 22:21Speaker 6: Sondra too, you know, yeah too, but yeah.
- 22:24Speaker 4: You knew that wasn't going to happen with the two
- 22:26Speaker 4: of them.
- 22:27Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah.
- 22:28Speaker 6: So I just felt that he he knew exactly the
- 22:32Speaker 6: three that he kind of felt the close to it.
- 22:36Speaker 6: And I felt probably Theresa wouldn't be in if the
- 22:41Speaker 6: girl didn't the lady didn't go home, she had any emergency,
- 22:45Speaker 6: the pretty blondie, yes, because he was he was torn. Joan, Joan,
- 22:53Speaker 6: Joan exactly, Joan.
- 22:55Speaker 4: Yeah, she was really pretty.
- 22:57Speaker 6: Joan would be in the running for sure.
- 23:06Speaker 5: Yeah, Okay, So I was a huge moment for me
- 23:12Speaker 5: was when Leslie was expressing her insecurities to him and
- 23:16Speaker 5: then he he held her and goes, you're my girl,
- 23:19Speaker 5: And I was like, whoa, yeah.
- 23:21Speaker 6: You know, I really believe you know, man, I think
- 23:24Speaker 6: they talk out of the side of their necks sometime
- 23:27Speaker 6: and not their heart. Because I felt that he needed
- 23:31Speaker 6: to give her something right there, because he knew the cameras,
- 23:34Speaker 6: you know, we're going and everything. I think he probably misled.
- 23:38Speaker 5: Her, okay, used being over dramatic in the moment. I
- 23:43Speaker 5: was like, by saying that to her, she thinks that
- 23:46Speaker 5: she's the one. Yes, as a female interpreting this.
- 23:50Speaker 6: Exactly, I feel the same. So you know, I felt
- 23:54Speaker 6: that maybe you know, because you know when the cameras
- 23:57Speaker 6: are on and you know he he's trying to find
- 24:01Speaker 6: his mate. But I think he got a little you know, confused,
- 24:04Speaker 6: I mean, been.
- 24:05Speaker 5: Ahead of himself, like just just ahead of himself. I
- 24:08Speaker 5: wouldn't say that like he doesn't mean it. I still
- 24:11Speaker 5: think that she's his top two, but I don't think
- 24:14Speaker 5: he's one hundred percent sold that she's the one. But
- 24:16Speaker 5: by saying you're my girl, it's heavy.
- 24:20Speaker 6: Right, and he wanted to give her that sigh of
- 24:24Speaker 6: relief pretty much.
- 24:25Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, I I agree with both of you.
- 24:31Speaker 2: I do think that there's this element where right now,
- 24:36Speaker 2: you know, Gary's had a lot of fun and it's
- 24:38Speaker 2: been a great experience for him, and he's enjoying it,
- 24:40Speaker 2: and it's been fairly lighthearted most of the time, and
- 24:42Speaker 2: we've seen moments.
- 24:43Speaker 3: Of emotion out of him.
- 24:45Speaker 2: I think as any person, I think this is man
- 24:48Speaker 2: or woman who sits in the place of the lead
- 24:50Speaker 2: on this show. I do always find it interesting as
- 24:52Speaker 2: we get towards the end, you don't know how to
- 24:56Speaker 2: handle it, like there's no preparation for this where you
- 24:59Speaker 2: have feelings and you care and you you enjoy the company.
- 25:03Speaker 2: Maybe these are more friends at this point than a
- 25:06Speaker 2: romantic partner, but you enjoyed being around them, and you
- 25:09Speaker 2: feel this sense of well protection, You feel this sense
- 25:14Speaker 2: of desire to help them feel better and good about
- 25:17Speaker 2: themselves and good about the experience, and honestly fairly good
- 25:21Speaker 2: about you as a lead, and that they're happy that
- 25:23Speaker 2: you were the guy that you know was the one.
- 25:26Speaker 2: And so I think he's saying things at this point
- 25:29Speaker 2: because he doesn't see to repercussions that could exist in
- 25:33Speaker 2: two more weeks, just to help calm the nerves of
- 25:35Speaker 2: the situation. Similar to what I would say to a
- 25:38Speaker 2: girl friend of mine where maybe they're going through a
- 25:41Speaker 2: hard breakup and I would just say like these things,
- 25:45Speaker 2: kind of just speaking, maybe without knowing how it's making
- 25:48Speaker 2: her feel inside, Like you know, maybe you say this
- 25:51Speaker 2: stuff in college. College is a great example where you're
- 25:55Speaker 2: you know, you're holding somebody or caring for somebody who's
- 25:58Speaker 2: just gone through a breakup, and you're saying things like
- 25:59Speaker 2: you're so pretty, you're so beautiful, you are an incredible
- 26:03Speaker 2: human and yes, you're just comforting them. And I don't
- 26:07Speaker 2: think he realizes what the comforting may feel like in here,
- 26:10Speaker 2: Like it sound like to the girls that he's.
- 26:13Speaker 6: Dating, Well, you know, I felt that he's gonna bring
- 26:17Speaker 6: it down a notch. You know, he could probably make
- 26:20Speaker 6: her feel comfortable, and you know, when he gave her,
- 26:25Speaker 6: he could have given her false hope. But who knows
- 26:28Speaker 6: could have We don't know the ending yet, but I
- 26:30Speaker 6: can't wait to.
- 26:31Speaker 3: Know he wants.
- 26:33Speaker 2: You know, the cool part about Gary in this season
- 26:36Speaker 2: the Golden Bachelor is he's led his heart on the line,
- 26:39Speaker 2: and so yes, he's going to say things that are
- 26:41Speaker 2: maybe a little more dramatic and a little more emotional,
- 26:43Speaker 2: a little more comforting as maybe he should in a
- 26:48Speaker 2: moment because he's just doing his best to be fully
- 26:51Speaker 2: out there. He's not hiding and holding anything back, and
- 26:54Speaker 2: I don't think any of these.
- 26:55Speaker 3: Women have held anything back.
- 26:56Speaker 2: And I think that's why I'm loving watching this show
- 26:58Speaker 2: is because it is all and real and it's gonna
- 27:01Speaker 2: be a little messy, and there's gonna be tears. But
- 27:04Speaker 2: at the end, hopefully he's with somebody and it all
- 27:06Speaker 2: works out out. But there is gonna be heartbreak, and
- 27:09Speaker 2: there always is. There always is, and so uh, these
- 27:12Speaker 2: are one of those moments where maybe yeah, when he
- 27:15Speaker 2: said you're my girl, maybe she is.
- 27:16Speaker 3: Maybe we ke ends up with her at the end, but.
- 27:18Speaker 2: If he does it, I do think maybe that is
- 27:21Speaker 2: going to add some pain to her life.
- 27:23Speaker 6: Yes, which yes, I truly believe that as well. But
- 27:27Speaker 6: you know, as women entering into a dating show, someone
- 27:33Speaker 6: has to get hurt unfortunately.
- 27:35Speaker 5: Now sure, sure, And that leads me into my next
- 27:39Speaker 5: question perfectly. We've never seen this many declarations of love
- 27:45Speaker 5: so early on, and this season is so much faster
- 27:48Speaker 5: than a typical season. So these women may be saying,
- 27:51Speaker 5: I'm valling in love with you within knowing this man
- 27:53Speaker 5: for maybe two weeks.
- 27:55Speaker 4: Do you feel at a.
- 27:57Speaker 7: More advanced age that you've fall in love quicker?
- 28:01Speaker 6: No, it's television, so you have to you know. That's
- 28:06Speaker 6: why they got on the show, because they have to
- 28:08Speaker 6: make a decision. But some women they feel that because
- 28:12Speaker 6: they need that need in their life and they want
- 28:15Speaker 6: that husband, they're just pushing the accelerator button, you know.
- 28:20Speaker 6: But for me, I couldn't after two weeks. You don't
- 28:25Speaker 6: know who the representative is. Is it the real Gary?
- 28:28Speaker 6: Is it the representative? Even though he seems like such
- 28:31Speaker 6: a great guy, and I think he's a hot looking guy,
- 28:33Speaker 6: I would definitely date him. I would love to get
- 28:36Speaker 6: dropped up in there and say, oh, we have one
- 28:38Speaker 6: more person.
- 28:42Speaker 5: I imagine that me in thirty years would actually take way
- 28:48Speaker 5: longer to fall in love right.
- 28:50Speaker 6: Exactly because we learn by our mistakes, you know. I
- 28:56Speaker 6: mean I got truly heartbroken when I left California. You know,
- 28:59Speaker 6: I was in love with the guy. He was a
- 29:01Speaker 6: you know, longshore man, good looking, tall, and sure enough
- 29:05Speaker 6: he was cheating on me, you know, So it's you
- 29:09Speaker 6: just gotta, you know, slow it down. But they don't
- 29:12Speaker 6: have much time. So that's why I think these women
- 29:14Speaker 6: number one, they want they want to mate. Can you
- 29:18Speaker 6: blame them? They're all beautiful women and they want to mate.
- 29:22Speaker 6: And I feel so bad, but I really believe it's
- 29:24Speaker 6: between Faith and Leslie for sure.
- 29:30Speaker 2: Well that's where we're gonna We're gonna start to wrap here.
- 29:33Speaker 3: And Dana, you've been absolutely incredible to come on and
- 29:37Speaker 3: break down.
- 29:37Speaker 2: Your energy is obviously infectious, your smile is infectious. Uh,
- 29:43Speaker 2: and you have a great interconfidence and so with that interconfidence,
- 29:48Speaker 2: I do believe you have opinions and I would love
- 29:52Speaker 2: to hear from you and Ashley kind of how you
- 29:54Speaker 2: think this is going to play out with Hometowns and
- 29:57Speaker 2: then who ends up with Gary at the end after
- 30:00Speaker 2: her Hometowns? Maybe just the final two for now, since
- 30:02Speaker 2: that is kind of the step ahead. Uh, how do
- 30:06Speaker 2: you think Hometowns is going to work? With Gary meeting
- 30:09Speaker 2: the families of these three women who are obviously incredible
- 30:13Speaker 2: women who he's found a connection with. But now it
- 30:17Speaker 2: gets real other people get involved, which always brings a
- 30:21Speaker 2: different element to the show.
- 30:23Speaker 6: Right. Well, I believe that Faith, I'll put it this way. Faith,
- 30:35Speaker 6: she is She's deep, She's deep, and I'm sure her
- 30:41Speaker 6: family wants the best for her and they don't want
- 30:44Speaker 6: her to be hurt because being hurt it's hard, especially
- 30:48Speaker 6: when you get older, you know.
- 30:50Speaker 5: And she comes from a traumatic background now and oh goodness,
- 30:53Speaker 5: she grew up without parents, I know.
- 30:56Speaker 6: And her sister. I think it was her sister.
- 30:59Speaker 4: Yeah, we see more from her, We'll see more.
- 31:01Speaker 6: He showed her sister just so connecting with Gary. So
- 31:07Speaker 6: I think she's going to be the one. Truthfully, I
- 31:09Speaker 6: think she's going to be the one.
- 31:11Speaker 5: My gut as well, says Faith, And with obviously Leslie
- 31:15Speaker 5: being second.
- 31:15Speaker 6: Teresa's Yeah, Leslie's great, you know, I like her. She's great.
- 31:21Speaker 6: But no, I just feel that they have a very
- 31:25Speaker 6: very strong connection.
- 31:27Speaker 5: And I think that's why he just waited to have
- 31:29Speaker 5: a one on one with her until later, because it
- 31:31Speaker 5: was just obvious right.
- 31:32Speaker 4: Off the bat. But he did say last night that,
- 31:34Speaker 4: like right off the bat, it.
- 31:36Speaker 5: Was just a really strong physical connection and now he's
- 31:39Speaker 5: glad to confirm that it's both right exactly.
- 31:42Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 31:43Speaker 2: So Ashley, what's your what's your opinion towards the end. Now,
- 31:48Speaker 2: who do you think he ends up with?
- 31:49Speaker 3: Oh?
- 31:50Speaker 4: I think he's ending up with Faith.
- 31:51Speaker 3: Okay, I would still say Teresa. Guys, my vote is Teresa.
- 31:55Speaker 6: Wait really really thinks so. Can you imagine she's a
- 32:01Speaker 6: little much every day?
- 32:02Speaker 4: I was like, are you sure? She's like the most
- 32:04Speaker 4: extra human being I've ever met? I haven't met her, but.
- 32:09Speaker 6: I still love to her. You know, it's her personality.
- 32:13Speaker 6: But I don't stand it.
- 32:17Speaker 2: You guys might feel this way, but I think Gary
- 32:19Speaker 2: is very attracted to the extra and I think he's
- 32:21Speaker 2: very attracted to the spark that she could bring and
- 32:25Speaker 2: that he sees her bringing.
- 32:26Speaker 3: To his life.
- 32:28Speaker 2: Because I think he I think every one of these
- 32:31Speaker 2: women have a little bit of Teresa in them, but
- 32:33Speaker 2: Teresa is the one that does it best.
- 32:35Speaker 3: And I said, my vote is still Teresa.
- 32:38Speaker 6: Now, well, I tell you she's a go getter and
- 32:40Speaker 6: she's she put it out there that she wants him,
- 32:44Speaker 6: so she's putting into energy out there. So but I
- 32:48Speaker 6: really believe he's either gonna be He's going to end
- 32:51Speaker 6: up with either Faith or Leslie.
- 32:54Speaker 2: Okay, well, there's votes out there, your your opinion as listeners.
- 32:59Speaker 2: Now for what matters, So make sure you message us
- 33:02Speaker 2: and tell us who you think Gary is going to
- 33:04Speaker 2: end up with. This has been an incredible season so
- 33:07Speaker 2: far of The Golden Bachelor, one that we had high
- 33:09Speaker 2: expectations for one that's fulfilling all those expectations. We have drama,
- 33:13Speaker 2: we have the jealousy, we have the love, we have
- 33:16Speaker 2: the connection, we have the friendship. Three more women were
- 33:19Speaker 2: sent home this week. We have three women left.
- 33:22Speaker 3: It was.
- 33:25Speaker 2: It's getting more emotional, I would say, as every episode
- 33:28Speaker 2: continues for Gary, and we see that in the previews
- 33:31Speaker 2: for the next episode. Make sure you tune into the
- 33:33Speaker 2: Almost Famous Podcast next week as we break down another
