- 0:01Speaker 1: Good morning and welcome to the early edition with Evita.
- 0:04Speaker 1: I'm Evita Duffy. We're here at the RNC with a
- 0:08Speaker 1: lot to talk about today. First, the iconic Trump photo,
- 0:11Speaker 1: the one where he's got his fist in the air,
- 0:13Speaker 1: blood on his face. And we're not just going to
- 0:15Speaker 1: talk about what this photo says about Trump. But what
- 0:18Speaker 1: it says about us as Americans and why we are
- 0:21Speaker 1: so inspired by what Trump did on that really disturbing
- 0:26Speaker 1: Saturday rally. We're also talk about Joe Biden and his
- 0:29Speaker 1: call for unity and why we're not going to accept
- 0:32Speaker 1: his call for unity because he's been the most disunifying
- 0:34Speaker 1: president in American history. Steve Bannon and what life is
- 0:38Speaker 1: like for him in prison right now, an inside look
- 0:41Speaker 1: at that. And then also Gen Z trending toward the right.
- 0:45Speaker 1: We'll talk about that as well. And the collusion between
- 0:48Speaker 1: major tech corporate, major tech companies and major corporations to
- 0:52Speaker 1: silence conservative voices. And lastly, a flashback to the eighties
- 0:56Speaker 1: at the end of the show, all of this on
- 0:58Speaker 1: the early edition. Just a heads up that all of
- 1:11Speaker 1: the headlines that I'm going to be covering today will
- 1:13Speaker 1: be linked on Bongino.com. Just to start, there are so
- 1:18Speaker 1: many unanswered questions when it comes to this attempted assassination
- 1:23Speaker 1: on President Trump. Democrats, of course, have been prepping us
- 1:26Speaker 1: for this assassination for years now with their rhetoric. But
- 1:30Speaker 1: I want to talk about the photo, this iconic photo
- 1:34Speaker 1: of Trump. I think we have it here. You can
- 1:38Speaker 1: see what it looks like. It's been all over the Internet.
- 1:40Speaker 1: Even Trump said, you know, this is an iconic photo.
- 1:43Speaker 1: I've never seen a more iconic photo about himself, which
- 1:46Speaker 1: is so Trump. But I think it really says something.
- 1:49Speaker 1: Something about who Trump is, right? That his instinct was
- 1:52Speaker 1: to put his fist in the air, was to show defiance,
- 1:56Speaker 1: his fighting spirit. But it also says something about us
- 2:01Speaker 1: as the American people and why we are so attracted
- 2:04Speaker 1: to this Trump photo. I believe that it taps into
- 2:08Speaker 1: the American mythos. A month ago, I wrote an article titled,
- 2:14Speaker 1: Biden Will Live to Regret the Day He Made Trump
- 2:17Speaker 1: an Outlaw, and it's connected to what I'm going to
- 2:19Speaker 1: say here. Essentially, I said Trump is having lawfare waged
- 2:25Speaker 1: against him, every rule in the book thrown at him,
- 2:29Speaker 1: trying to be taken off the ballot in Colorado. They
- 2:31Speaker 1: are persecuting this man and And I believe it is
- 2:35Speaker 1: going and it has backfired on Democrats because Americans love
- 2:39Speaker 1: outlaw figures. They love anti heroes. They they love people
- 2:43Speaker 1: who are rebellious because we as Americans are are attracted
- 2:49Speaker 1: to the rebellious people. spirit. It's who we are. We
- 2:51Speaker 1: are cowboys, conquistadors, pilgrims, pioneers. The inception of America was
- 2:57Speaker 1: a rebellion against the status quo for people wanting to
- 3:01Speaker 1: pursue freedom. Think about your ancestors. All of us had
- 3:04Speaker 1: people who came here and took a risk. Either you
- 3:06Speaker 1: were going to come here and be really successful or
- 3:09Speaker 1: it was going to be disastrous. So many pioneers were
- 3:14Speaker 1: murdered or died, diseased. So we are risk takers. We
- 3:18Speaker 1: are rebellious and Trump taps into that American spirit all
- 3:23Speaker 1: the time. Um, but specifically in this photo, and again,
- 3:28Speaker 1: this is a, a, uh, a theme in American culture
- 3:32Speaker 1: that comes back all the time. Yes. Americans love the
- 3:35Speaker 1: cowboy genre. But the cowboy mythos comes in with, when
- 3:42Speaker 1: you think about Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean
- 3:44Speaker 1: or Han Solo in Star Wars, it's a theme that
- 3:47Speaker 1: keeps coming up. And so I think the photo with
- 3:51Speaker 1: Trump is tapping into that. It's uniquely American because it
- 3:57Speaker 1: it gets at who we are as a people, which
- 4:01Speaker 1: is so powerful as we're looking toward 2024 and why
- 4:05Speaker 1: I think, save any shenanigans in this election, Trump is
- 4:09Speaker 1: going to do very well. Now, it's not all sunshine
- 4:12Speaker 1: and roses. It's not all sunshine and rainbows, right? It's
- 4:17Speaker 1: going to be a real uphill battle. And Biden, in
- 4:22Speaker 1: the wake of all of this chaos, in the midst
- 4:27Speaker 1: of this attempted assassination on Trump has called for national unity.
- 4:31Speaker 1: And he wrote this on X yesterday. He said, while
- 4:34Speaker 1: we may disagree, we are not enemies. We are neighbors, friends, coworkers, citizens,
- 4:40Speaker 1: and most importantly, we are fellow Americans. We must stand together.
- 4:45Speaker 1: And ladies and gentlemen, Joe Biden is a liar because
- 4:51Speaker 1: he has never wanted us to stand together. He has
- 4:54Speaker 1: never wanted to unite the country. We were told on
- 4:56Speaker 1: inauguration day that he was going to be this unifying president.
- 5:00Speaker 1: He was going to take all this division that's been
- 5:03Speaker 1: sowed and just wipe it all clean. We're going to
- 5:05Speaker 1: be a new America under Joe Biden. And that did
- 5:08Speaker 1: not happen. I have a video to show exactly what
- 5:10Speaker 1: I'm talking about.
- 5:11Speaker 2: Donald Trump is a genuine threat to this nation. He's
- 5:18Speaker 2: a threat to our freedom. He's a threat to our democracy.
- 5:23Speaker 2: He's literally a threat for everything America stands for.
- 5:27Speaker 1: It's a threat to everything Americans stand for. I mean,
- 5:30Speaker 1: this kind of rhetoric is not unifying at all. Frankly,
- 5:32Speaker 1: it is assassination prep, as many have pointed out. It
- 5:36Speaker 1: is leading us to what happened last Saturday. Now, also
- 5:41Speaker 1: recall the speech that he gave early on in his
- 5:44Speaker 1: administration where he's bathed in this blood-red light, demonizing all
- 5:49Speaker 1: MAGA supporters. Let's play that video.
- 5:52Speaker 2: And now America must choose to move forward. or to
- 5:57Speaker 2: move backwards, to build a future or obsess about the past,
- 6:03Speaker 2: to be a nation of hope and unity and optimism,
- 6:07Speaker 2: or a nation of fear, division, and of darkness. MAGA
- 6:12Speaker 2: Republicans have made their choice. They embrace anger. They thrive
- 6:18Speaker 2: on chaos. They live not in the light of truth,
- 6:22Speaker 2: but in the shadow of lies.
- 6:26Speaker 1: So here's what really gets me about that video. It's
- 6:29Speaker 1: not just rhetoric. It would be one thing if he
- 6:32Speaker 1: was just saying horrible things about Trump and MAGA supporters,
- 6:36Speaker 1: smearing us, lying about us. He actually took action. MAGA
- 6:41Speaker 1: supporters are labeled as domestic terrorists by the FBI. I
- 6:45Speaker 1: believe it was Newsweek that came out with that groundbreaking story.
- 6:49Speaker 1: You have the FBI raiding the homes of pro-lifers, throwing
- 6:53Speaker 1: them in prison, traditional Catholic communities being infiltrated because they're
- 6:57Speaker 1: viewed as somehow a threat to the state. Parents at
- 7:00Speaker 1: school board meetings were targeted. The January Sixers have been
- 7:04Speaker 1: politically persecuted, put on no fly lists, put behind bars.
- 7:07Speaker 1: There are many January Sixers and I've written about this extensively,
- 7:12Speaker 1: so has Julie Kelly, who actually have committed suicide from
- 7:15Speaker 1: the pressure and just the vitriol coming out of the
- 7:20Speaker 1: Biden administration. This is not an administration of unity at all.
- 7:25Speaker 1: And it's not just, of course, Trump supporters. It's also
- 7:27Speaker 1: Trump himself. This is a man who had his home
- 7:30Speaker 1: raided by the FBI, countless criminal charges, countless convictions, right?
- 7:34Speaker 1: This assassination attempt, everything, trying to take him off the
- 7:37Speaker 1: ballot in Colorado, everything has been thrown at him. And
- 7:42Speaker 1: I think, frankly, I prefer America before all of the
- 7:45Speaker 1: Biden unity. It's been the most disunifying America I think
- 7:49Speaker 1: I've ever experienced in America and any American of any
- 7:53Speaker 1: age has ever seen in our country. And it's not
- 7:56Speaker 1: just Trump and his supporters generally, specifically anyone who's a
- 8:01Speaker 1: Trump loyalist has been targeted by the Biden administration. And
- 8:06Speaker 1: I have to talk about Steve Bannon specifically. Steve Bannon
- 8:09Speaker 1: is behind bars right now for refusing to comply with
- 8:12Speaker 1: a congressional subpoena, which many people have done. And only
- 8:15Speaker 1: Steve Bannon is going to prison for it. And Naomi Wolf,
- 8:21Speaker 1: she's a journalist who I really respect. She did some
- 8:24Speaker 1: digging recently. on the Danbury Federal Prison, which is where
- 8:28Speaker 1: Steve Bannon is being held, and just did a report
- 8:33Speaker 1: on what his life is like there as you look
- 8:35Speaker 1: at the rules of this prison. So I'm gonna read
- 8:38Speaker 1: you what Naomi Wolf wrote, and it's a little bit long,
- 8:42Speaker 1: but I think it's worth illustrating because this is important
- 8:47Speaker 1: for us to know, really important, and we'll get back
- 8:51Speaker 1: to that in a second. But Naomi Wolf says, And
- 8:53Speaker 1: she's a very renowned journalist. Mr. Bannon will receive a
- 8:57Speaker 1: set number of points a month for visitors. Each visit
- 9:00Speaker 1: uses up these points. He will need to submit to
- 9:02Speaker 1: authorities in advance a list of visitors and fill out
- 9:05Speaker 1: forms for each. Each visit will need to be approved.
- 9:08Speaker 1: Points are used up for metrics as random seeming as
- 9:12Speaker 1: the distance the visitor travels. Mr. Bannon will be awakened
- 9:16Speaker 1: at 6 a.m. every day. And if he oversleeps, there
- 9:19Speaker 1: will be disciplinary action. Visits restrict human contact from family members,
- 9:25Speaker 1: meaning kissing, embracing, and handshaking, holding are only allowed upon
- 9:29Speaker 1: arrival or departure from Phone calls are limited to 15
- 9:33Speaker 1: minutes each for a total of 30 minutes a month.
- 9:36Speaker 1: Bannon may not act, and this is key, as a reporter, publisher,
- 9:40Speaker 1: published under a byline, or conduct a business or profession
- 9:44Speaker 1: while in BOP custody. And Naomi says Bannon's voice has
- 9:47Speaker 1: been effectively silenced by the FCI Danbury for the critical
- 9:51Speaker 1: next four months, months which just happen to overlap with
- 9:54Speaker 1: this make or break, do we survive as a free
- 9:57Speaker 1: nation or die presidential race. And she is absolutely right.
- 10:02Speaker 1: And she also points out that this is not just
- 10:06Speaker 1: about Steve Bannon. We have to be talking about this. We,
- 10:11Speaker 1: we alternative media has to be talking about this. We
- 10:14Speaker 1: can't expect much from the corporate media. They don't do anything,
- 10:16Speaker 1: but alternative media, it's up to us. And I have
- 10:18Speaker 1: not seen many people talk about it. Save maybe Natalie. No,
- 10:26Speaker 1: UChicago graduate and a friend of mine who's filling in
- 10:28Speaker 1: for him on his show, but other than her, I
- 10:30Speaker 1: haven't heard many people talk about it. And it will
- 10:33Speaker 1: come at us eventually. And this is Naomi's point that
- 10:36Speaker 1: if you think that it's not worth it or that
- 10:39Speaker 1: it's too much of a risk to stand up for Bannon,
- 10:41Speaker 1: now you have another thing coming because this is going
- 10:45Speaker 1: to be, this administration, which has gone completely unchecked, a
- 10:48Speaker 1: weaponized deep state completely unchecked, will turn itself on all Americans.
- 10:53Speaker 1: And we're seeing that increase. This is why I brought
- 10:55Speaker 1: up the pro-lifers and traditional Catholics. It will not just
- 10:58Speaker 1: be MAGA supporters. It will not just be Steve Bannon. Eventually,
- 11:01Speaker 1: it will be all of us. And so we all
- 11:04Speaker 1: need to be talking about this, standing up. Now, we're
- 11:08Speaker 1: going to take a quick break. And when we come back,
- 11:10Speaker 1: we're going to talk about the November election and specifically
- 11:14Speaker 1: Gen Z, because I think Trump is actually going to
- 11:17Speaker 1: win over Gen Z. I know that's crazy because young
- 11:20Speaker 1: people tend to only only vote left and it's not true.
- 11:24Speaker 1: So stay tuned for that. We'll be right back. You

- 12:10Speaker 1: Thanks to our sponsors for keeping this show free. Back
- 12:13Speaker 1: to the show. So Gen Z is changing a lot.
- 12:18Speaker 1: The electorate in America in general is is changing a lot.
- 12:22Speaker 1: And it's no secret that Biden is deeply unpopular with
- 12:25Speaker 1: young people. Hillary Clinton was deeply unpopular with young people.
- 12:28Speaker 1: Young people wanted Bernie Sanders. Young people want someone who's
- 12:32Speaker 1: going to bring change, radical change. Now, sometimes that can
- 12:35Speaker 1: be a little bit dangerous, but when you have a
- 12:38Speaker 1: Trump against Biden, it can actually be in our favor.
- 12:41Speaker 1: And there's an opportunity to really message to Gen Z,
- 12:44Speaker 1: I came across this article yesterday in Newsweek that I
- 12:49Speaker 1: just have to share. Newsweek says young people appear to
- 12:52Speaker 1: be flocking to the Republican Party, according to figures in
- 12:54Speaker 1: a new poll from the Pew Research Center. The poll
- 12:57Speaker 1: found that among all respondents, 47% said they were Republican
- 13:02Speaker 1: or leaned Republican, while 46% said they were Democrats or
- 13:06Speaker 1: leaned Democrats. And you guys, 50-50 for Gen Z? You
- 13:11Speaker 1: don't have, I mean, that is insane. huge, right? We
- 13:14Speaker 1: young people in general always tend to, to be more
- 13:17Speaker 1: left-wing and then they get conservative as they get older,
- 13:20Speaker 1: that we're seeing these numbers for the Republican party, potentially
- 13:24Speaker 1: for Trump come 2024 is going to be such a
- 13:28Speaker 1: dramatic change. And it's, it's such a huge opportunity for
- 13:32Speaker 1: the right, but to contextualize this a little bit, I,
- 13:35Speaker 1: I have to say that It's critical to understand when
- 13:40Speaker 1: we're talking about Gen Z that Gen Z is really
- 13:43Speaker 1: two generations. There's Gen Z men and there's Gen Z women.
- 13:49Speaker 1: And they are very, very different. And I have a
- 13:52Speaker 1: poll to sort of, or it's actually a little, yeah,
- 13:55Speaker 1: it's a little study to illustrate what I'm talking about here.
- 13:59Speaker 1: Change research. asked young people, what is your number one
- 14:04Speaker 1: red flag when you're dating? And young women said, he's
- 14:08Speaker 1: a MAGA supporter. That's the number one red flag for women.
- 14:11Speaker 1: And for young men, it was, she identifies as a communist.
- 14:15Speaker 1: So these are very different belief systems within these two generations.
- 14:21Speaker 1: That is why I think you're seeing so many young
- 14:23Speaker 1: men or so many Gen Zers turn to the right.
- 14:26Speaker 1: It's largely being driven by young men. And this makes sense,
- 14:30Speaker 1: of course, because the left has nothing to offer young men.
- 14:34Speaker 1: Feminism is cancerous. Feminism tells men, that their masculinity is toxic.
- 14:40Speaker 1: If they're too loud in the classroom, they're put on Ritalin.
- 14:43Speaker 1: Their very identity as a man is demonized in this
- 14:46Speaker 1: country and by the left. And so they say, you
- 14:49Speaker 1: know what? I can't identify with this anymore. I can't
- 14:52Speaker 1: be a part of this anymore. I have to go
- 14:54Speaker 1: to a different direction. I have to try something new
- 14:57Speaker 1: because the status quo for young people, i.e. the democratic
- 15:00Speaker 1: party does not care about me, does not speak to me.
- 15:04Speaker 1: And so it makes absolute sense. Now it's not perfect
- 15:09Speaker 1: because young men and young women are not dating. They're
- 15:11Speaker 1: not getting married and having children as much as they
- 15:14Speaker 1: usually are. And that's a huge problem when we think
- 15:17Speaker 1: about our culture and the social qualms that we're facing,
- 15:22Speaker 1: you have to have people falling in love, getting married,
- 15:25Speaker 1: and building up the next generation. That's essential. But when
- 15:27Speaker 1: you look at the Republican Party and our ability to
- 15:29Speaker 1: message to young people and potentially lock in voters for
- 15:33Speaker 1: years to come, this is a huge deal. This is
- 15:36Speaker 1: an amazing opportunity and something to be really optimistic about.
- 15:39Speaker 1: I'll also note that A lot of the shift rightward
- 15:43Speaker 1: is being driven by manosphere figures like Andrew Tate. And
- 15:47Speaker 1: I'm never going to say Andrew Tate is perfect and
- 15:49Speaker 1: that I agree with everything that he's done in his life.
- 15:51Speaker 1: As a Catholic, I can't say that. But what I
- 15:53Speaker 1: will say is that there's a lot of right-wingers who
- 15:56Speaker 1: will demonize these figures who are role models to young men.
- 15:59Speaker 1: And I would never do that. I will, you'll never
- 16:03Speaker 1: see me say Andrew Tate is the worst. We have
- 16:06Speaker 1: to censor him or, or he shouldn't be talking to
- 16:08Speaker 1: young men because ultimately if Andrew Tate or others are
- 16:12Speaker 1: the gateway into young men starting to identify with the
- 16:16Speaker 1: right and conservative values, it is a net positive on
- 16:20Speaker 1: our culture. So I will never, I will never, you know,
- 16:23Speaker 1: just dismiss the manosphere. You won't see it from me.
- 16:26Speaker 1: He says based, no, No red wave talk. That's what's
- 16:32Speaker 1: what else we're going to talk about, because, yes, we
- 16:34Speaker 1: can be optimistic about young people, but shenanigans do happen.
- 16:38Speaker 1: And of course, I'm from the state of Wisconsin. We're
- 16:40Speaker 1: here in Wisconsin right now at the RNC. And the
- 16:43Speaker 1: Supreme Court in Wisconsin is allowed has allowed the legalization
- 16:46Speaker 1: of drop boxes, which we know are very insecure. And
- 16:51Speaker 1: there's other things that will plague this next election. There's
- 16:55Speaker 1: no way if it's fair, a senile Parkinson's ridden Joe
- 16:59Speaker 1: Biden beats Donald Trump with his fist in the air
- 17:01Speaker 1: and blood on his face. It's not happening. But we
- 17:04Speaker 1: know that it's not always secure and it's not always fair.
- 17:08Speaker 1: And we have to talk about what I think is
- 17:09Speaker 1: the biggest issue facing this election. And that is censorship. Now,
- 17:14Speaker 1: last week, the Judiciary Committee released a report exposing how
- 17:18Speaker 1: the biggest global companies are colluding to censor conservatives and
- 17:21Speaker 1: potentially violating antitrust laws via this organization called the Global
- 17:27Speaker 1: Alliance for Responsible Media, or GARM. And GARM is owned
- 17:31Speaker 1: by the World Economic Forum. And if you know anything
- 17:35Speaker 1: about the World Economic Forum, then you know that GARM
- 17:37Speaker 1: is definitely bad news if it's associated with them. Now
- 17:40Speaker 1: GARM is made up of the world's biggest corporations, largest advertisers,
- 17:47Speaker 1: and the biggest tech platforms. And they come together via
- 17:51Speaker 1: GARM to censor and demonetize what they call harmful content.
- 17:58Speaker 1: And harmful content is not simply child pornography or criminal activity,
- 18:03Speaker 1: things that we can all say, yeah, that's, that probably
- 18:06Speaker 1: shouldn't be allowed. It is speech disliked by left-wing global elites.
- 18:14Speaker 1: And Ben Shapiro went on the House floor to testify
- 18:17Speaker 1: about this last week, and he talked about exactly what
- 18:21Speaker 1: this harmful content looks like. Let's listen to that.
- 18:25Speaker 3: So, what are the brand safety standards that GARM uses?
- 18:28Speaker 3: The standards begin with inarguable things that we've heard from
- 18:30Speaker 3: the other witnesses, like preventing distribution of child sexual abuse
- 18:33Speaker 3: material or stopping terrorism. But GARM doesn't draw the line
- 18:35Speaker 3: at what is criminal, abusive, or dangerous. Their standards also
- 18:38Speaker 3: include restrictions on hate speech, harassment, misinformation, or my personal favorite, insensitive, irresponsible,
- 18:44Speaker 3: and harmful treatment of debated sensitive social issues. Those criteria
- 18:49Speaker 3: are highly subjective in theory, and they are purely partisan
- 18:51Speaker 3: in practice. For example, last year, Daily Wire host Matt
- 18:54Speaker 3: Walsh was fully demonetized on YouTube, a GARM member. Why?
- 18:58Speaker 3: For quote unquote misgendering, which to GARM is to say
- 19:00Speaker 3: that men are not women. Perfectly obvious facts now run
- 19:03Speaker 3: afoul of GARM's censorship standards.
- 19:06Speaker 1: So... indisputable biology. That's, that's not allowed by Garmin. And
- 19:10Speaker 1: you can imagine, you know, that's one example, but there
- 19:13Speaker 1: are so many others, right? It's just a vehicle to
- 19:15Speaker 1: censor conservatives. It's just a vehicle to destroy conservative media outlets, NewsGuard,
- 19:21Speaker 1: which NewsGuard is, is a nemesis of mine or of all,
- 19:25Speaker 1: it should be of all conservatives because these organizations exist
- 19:28Speaker 1: to destroy the ad revenue, the ability for conservative or
- 19:32Speaker 1: alternative media to It's a way for them to say,
- 19:36Speaker 1: you know what, we're going to decide who you get
- 19:39Speaker 1: your information from as citizens, and we're going to get
- 19:44Speaker 1: rid of and sideline and destroy the ability of these
- 19:48Speaker 1: alternative companies. and sources to make money, to have careers.
- 19:53Speaker 1: It is truly evil. There is an operation globally, but
- 19:57Speaker 1: especially in our country, as we look to 2024, to
- 20:00Speaker 1: control people's minds. That's what this comes down to. If
- 20:05Speaker 1: you look at the advent of social media, it democratized information.
- 20:09Speaker 1: Suddenly the legacy media did not have the sway that
- 20:12Speaker 1: it once did. And you saw so many in our government,
- 20:19Speaker 1: in the corporate world, in the legacy media freak out
- 20:23Speaker 1: because they no longer had the power they once did.
- 20:26Speaker 1: It is about controlling people's minds. And it is the
- 20:29Speaker 1: biggest fight that we have looking toward 2024. We're going
- 20:34Speaker 1: to move on and end with something that I saw
- 20:37Speaker 1: on social media a while back. This is a video
- 20:41Speaker 1: of what high school looked like in the 80s. I
- 20:45Speaker 1: don't know what high school looked like in the 80s.
- 20:47Speaker 1: So I'm viewing it through this old video footage. And
- 20:52Speaker 1: I got to say, I was really loving it. Let's
- 20:54Speaker 1: play this. That video was awesome. You just see like
- 21:31Speaker 1: everybody's smiling. Nobody looks horribly overweight. Nobody looks just depressed
- 21:38Speaker 1: and unhealthy. And I feel like older generations, they really
- 21:43Speaker 1: don't know what it's like to grow up as a
- 21:46Speaker 1: Gen Z-er. I mean, we are a very spiritually and
- 21:51Speaker 1: emotionally sick generation. And this, I mean, this America that
- 21:57Speaker 1: I'm looking back at in the video, I'm nostalgic for it.
- 22:00Speaker 1: I'm nostalgic for something that I never knew, which is weird,
- 22:06Speaker 1: but it's true. And I think we have lost so
- 22:10Speaker 1: much since this time, so much since our, you know,
- 22:13Speaker 1: my parents or grandparents were around, the America that we
- 22:17Speaker 1: once were. People are irreligious now. I think Gen Z
- 22:20Speaker 1: is the most irreligious generation to date. People aren't healthy. Suicide, depression, anxiety,
- 22:26Speaker 1: it's all through the roof. People are living through their
- 22:29Speaker 1: phones digitally. Young people aren't dating. They aren't connecting like
- 22:35Speaker 1: they used to. And I don't know, it just... Watching
- 22:39Speaker 1: that video and then looking at the picture of Trump
- 22:42Speaker 1: and thinking about who we are as Americans. I don't
- 22:45Speaker 1: know if we can bring that picture back. It just
- 22:48Speaker 1: it makes you think about who we once were, what
- 22:51Speaker 1: we have lost. And it's it's sort of maybe a
- 22:54Speaker 1: drive to regain the spirit and the pride that we
- 22:59Speaker 1: once had as Americans. Americans. I think young people will
- 23:03Speaker 1: resonate with that message, especially they yearn for that. Maybe
- 23:06Speaker 1: when we're talking about Gen Z and how you can
- 23:09Speaker 1: win them over and really bring them into the fold
- 23:12Speaker 1: of the right wing, it's by promising something better than
- 23:16Speaker 1: what they have now, which is the America of our
- 23:18Speaker 1: parents and our grandparents, the dream that we you know,
- 23:21Speaker 1: everybody wants, but doesn't really realize or see today. So
- 23:27Speaker 1: something horrible happened on Saturday and it was, you know,
- 23:32Speaker 1: awful and a mistake by the Secret Service, but it
- 23:37Speaker 1: could have been catastrophic and it wasn't. And I think
- 23:40Speaker 1: that's a reason to be optimistic. I think the fist
- 23:42Speaker 1: in the air is a reason to be optimistic. I
- 23:44Speaker 1: think knowing who we are and where we came from is,
- 23:48Speaker 1: is going to be a guiding light for us in
- 23:50Speaker 1: the future. And I'll leave it at that. Make sure to, uh,

- 24:24Speaker 1: is the definition of grit. Injuries have ended plenty of careers,
- 24:28Speaker 1: but instead you decided yours would only be a chapter
- 24:30Speaker 1: instead of the ending. Welcome to the show, Daryl. Thank
- 24:33Speaker 1: you so much.
- 24:33Speaker 3: That's a good intro right there.
