- 0:00[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome to The Office of the Show covering the mighty Gulf, the NFL, pop culture, drinking culture and of course, the show is now near your host, Alphar Tia, in myself.
- 0:17[SPEAKER_03]: And we're on.
- 0:19[SPEAKER_03]: This is The Office of my self, Alphar Tia and Marick Brave.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_03]: We weren't lying when we told you we're gonna get a lot of content.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_03]: This is already the third show and it's Tuesday and it's noon, okay?
- 0:35[SPEAKER_03]: And you're getting two more today.
- 0:37[SPEAKER_03]: So that'll be six shows in two days.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_03]: Heavy content week here on the 3YPC feed and the five reasons YouTube.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_03]: Mark, it's draft week, we finally made it.
- 0:50[SPEAKER_03]: Your thoughts?
- 0:52[SPEAKER_01]: Well, my thoughts is this is like the ultimate offseason show, right?
- 0:56[SPEAKER_01]: We're covering WrestleMania, we're previewing the NFL draft, which starts in two days.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_01]: Like this is this is prime season for the offseason.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_03]: Absolutely.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_03]: And we're going to get into that.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_03]: We're going to get into WrestleMania here on the first half of the show.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_03]: And the second half of the show, we're going to talk about the draft.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_03]: And there are other store lines because like we're going to do a mock draft and I know we told you we're going to do a mock draft this week, but Through it we did our three way PC mock draft.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if did you hear that.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_03]: Merrick did you see the two players we ended up with.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_01]: I am in the process of listening to it right now, I was trying to get it in this morning.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_01]: I had a little spot on Fox 35 Orlando that I had to do before we recorded so I didn't quite get through the full the full draft yet.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_01]: Do you want to spoil it for me?
- 1:44[SPEAKER_01]: Who'd you take?
- 1:46[SPEAKER_03]: We took Rubin Bane at 11 and we took AJ Halsey at 30.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_01]: Love that too.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_01]: Off to a good start.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_03]: a few of my favorites were off the board by the time we got to 30, but at 11 we're pretty much consensus that it was going to be Ruben Bane, because that's who was on the board.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_03]: The danger we felt was with the chief set nine on Ruben Bane.
- 2:09[SPEAKER_03]: But we'll talk about that in the second half of the show.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_03]: And the first half of the show, we're going to talk about a little bit about WrestleMania.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_03]: First, a couple of aesthetics about Russell Mania.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if, I love that the internet wrestling community has its own acronym, the IWC.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_03]: How many times have you ever heard?
- 2:31[SPEAKER_03]: The IWC says, and I'm like, look, fuck is the IWC?
- 2:36[SPEAKER_03]: And it's the internet wrestling community.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, everybody's an expert on the internet.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, there's a few videos and online right now and it's picked by interest because I'm thinking about doing this if this is like a thing.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_03]: A lot of people took flights blind to Las Vegas for WrestleMania weekend without tickets and bought them the morning of.
- 3:08[SPEAKER_03]: and showed evidence of, okay, look, you're not going to sit ringside, you're not going to sit, you know, 15 rows up, but you're going to see the ring and you have a giant screen in front of you.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_03]: So you're going to get the experience and they were paying a hundred dollars.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_03]: Get in price.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_03]: Now that's a steel morning of.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_03]: And another guy showed $300 for pretty decent seats.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_03]: They were cross-referencing these seats with the prices back in December.
- 3:46[SPEAKER_03]: And the guy who paid $100, that was an $1,800 ticket.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_03]: And the guy who paid $300 was a $3,600 ticket.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so that is a good deal.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_01]: Next year, when they're in Saudi Arabia, I'll... That's not gonna happen.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_03]: All of those are gonna be taken up a sold and they're gonna be expensive as all.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_01]: Is that not a dream destination vacation for you, Alfa?
- 4:12[SPEAKER_03]: I can't wait, like yeah, I'm booking my flight immediately, if not sooner.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_03]: But in the future, like I'm not going to Minnesota, it's just too far, okay?
- 4:22[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, come on, Alfa, it's not too bad up here.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_03]: No, it's good for you.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_03]: You know, you can take a small short flight or what is it?
- 4:30[SPEAKER_01]: Eight hours drive?
- 4:31[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_03]: Eight hours.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_03]: Six hours drive.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_01]: Six hours drive.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so it's easy for you.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe you should test this theory.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_03]: You think?
- 4:40[SPEAKER_03]: Are you going to test it for SummerSlam?
- 4:42[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I hate to be that guy, but I get free tickets to any WWE show I want to do.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_01]: I know some folks.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_03]: What can you do for the show?
- 4:51[SPEAKER_03]: Are you going to go to SummerSlam?
- 4:52[SPEAKER_03]: By the way, it's on six hours.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_01]: We're that's in Minneapolis.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's a Minnesota and the big the beautiful stadiums that looks like a partnership.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_03]: That looks like a Viking ship.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_01]: I will I will contemplate it.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_01]: I can't guarantee I'll be there, but that might be one.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_01]: I want to take my kids to.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, if you're are going to take your kids, that's going to be a two-night event.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_03]: That's going to be Saturday and Sunday, right?
- 5:17[SPEAKER_03]: Correct?
- 5:17[SPEAKER_03]: It leaves.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yep.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, if you're going to do that, let's do the show on Friday.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_03]: that week, right, of SummerSlam.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_03]: And let's check our apps to see what we can buy tickets for.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_03]: The SummerSlam on the Friday, the Eve of SummerSlam.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_03]: Let's test that because I don't know.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_03]: This might be a thing.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe this is the way to go.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_03]: This is what people should be doing going forward.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_03]: Until they price these things correctly.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_03]: We got that out of the way.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_03]: A few of the aesthetics.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_03]: A lot of people have been ripping this WrestleMania and the entire WrestleMania experience for the weekend.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not one of those people.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_03]: I enjoyed the shows.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_03]: By the way, in and out before 10, both lights.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_01]: Love it.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_01]: That was my favorite part.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_03]: Not for me.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_03]: I kind of like my combat sports and I do consider wrestling a combat sport.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_03]: I like my combat sports and night, okay, and if it goes a little later, I'm fine with it.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_03]: Now, don't insist to put, I remember there was a Russell Minion once where the main event, the ring walk, was at midnight, and I'm thinking of myself, this is a bit much.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_01]: That was in New York, right, when it was the triple threat main event.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I was at that one, and I had food poisoning.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_01]: So I was like, wrap this up.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_01]: I want to go back to the hotel.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_01]: So bad.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_03]: And at a certain point, you're just insisting upon yourself.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_03]: And you're making yourself a nuisance.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't care how good that one is all the public transit stopped at that point.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_01]: So like people were stranded out in bumfuck, New Jersey, wherever that stadium is, nobody could get back to New York City.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's like certain parts of Miami.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_03]: Like if you go, let's say you go to the certain places, I'm not going to say which, but they're certain places in South Beach, where if you're caught there past midnight, you better have a car.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_03]: Because you're not going to get, you're not going to get an Uber there.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_03]: Well, you're going to get an Uber there.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_03]: And you're going to get boneed to get out of there.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_03]: So who the hell wants to pay $150 just to get out of a city, right?
- 7:35[SPEAKER_03]: So there's certain places where you must take a car in Miami.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_03]: Other places, vacation spots like Key West at 2 a.m. You got to walk everywhere.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_03]: Now, Key West is pretty safe, so you could walk pretty much everywhere, but, you know, there is no transportation at 2 a.m., they do not allow ubers, they do not allow cabs any more on Devol Street.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_03]: So, if you're at a bar at 2 a.m., and it's happened to me a million times, you've got to walk back to your hotel, and if your hotel is on the other side of the
- 8:12[SPEAKER_03]: You know, but it's, you know, it's fine.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_03]: It comes with the territory, you know what I mean?
- 8:16[SPEAKER_03]: So what I always do is when I'm in Key West, I check the, I check the time, right?
- 8:21[SPEAKER_03]: And past midnight, I start crawling toward the hotel.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_03]: So until I reached that last bar at 2 a.m. where I know it's, okay, it's like, you know, a five block walk or maybe a one mile walk to get back to the hotel.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_03]: So you just got to plan accordingly.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_03]: But another aesthetic of this WrestleMania experience, my God, the advertising, it was incessant.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's become WWE and a nutshell as of late.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_01]: It was slim everywhere.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_03]: They put slim gym stickers on the tables.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yep.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_01]: My kids were counting the logos on the ring.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_01]: You had nine logos on the mat.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_01]: You had a logo on every turn buckle pad.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_01]: You had people's names on the outside of the mat.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_01]: And you could buy to have your name.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_03]: Everybody was like, oh my god.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_03]: How tacky is this?
- 9:14[SPEAKER_03]: Well, it's a MIP at TKO thing because the UFC did that first.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_03]: The name on the ring.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_03]: And the UFC trying to have more.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, the UC charges more now another thing that we saw was some billionaire from New York paid 70 grand to he didn't even have to he didn't even comment he got his name He got like like the cryon said Adam Weitzman so we know that there's a guy called Adam Weitzman and and he's sitting at the announced desk He didn't say a word he didn't have a microphone
- 9:49[SPEAKER_03]: but he paid 70 grand to watch a match from there.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_03]: So, if I pay a quarter million, can I do a run-in and hit, see, I don't play the chair or something?
- 9:59[SPEAKER_01]: Half a million, you can take a poll driver on the steps.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, like, it's a bit tacky, right, merit?
- 10:07[SPEAKER_01]: I agree.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but that's TKO and WWE right now.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_01]: They're like we've said multiple times now.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_01]: They're they're sucking the soul of professional wrestling right out of what we're watching here and you know not my favorite as Overall though, I did enjoy WrestleMania weekend.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not one of those people.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_01]: I hate like you were saying you go online after these events are over and everybody's taking a shit on everything and everybody's an expert.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_01]: And I would have done this and I would have done that.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, man, this is a never-ending story.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_01]: It never ends, just let's see where it goes and try to enjoy something for once, man.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I thought it was way too commercialized.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_03]: Like, my god, the, uh, and the commercials in between the matches.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_03]: Yep.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_03]: Like certain people were timing it.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_03]: Like there was one time where in between the
- 11:01[SPEAKER_03]: How is that possible with ring entrances and everything?
- 11:03[SPEAKER_03]: So we're talking about build the bell.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_03]: From Bell the Bell is 41 minutes.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_03]: Like dude, that's almost an entire show.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_03]: In fact, that's a one hour TV show.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_03]: It is actually 41 minutes.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_01]: And that's a lot more.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_01]: That was when it debuted.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so I thought it was way too commercialized.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_03]: And with that, let me tell you that this is directly brought to you by Underdog.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_01]: I'll get the bills to people.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_03]: And I'll be reading an ad at mid roll, but let's take let's go through the the results.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_03]: I like both shows.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_03]: I like night two better than night one.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_03]: But let's go through let's go through the results if you have them there.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_03]: Let's let's go match for match.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_01]: All right, kicking off WrestleMania night one six man tag team match.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_01]: The Usos in LA night defeat Logan Paul, Austin Theory and I show speed.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_03]: Look, I had had my own little watch party here.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_03]: My daughter had a friend of hers.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_03]: She was all into eye show speed.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_03]: And I guess that's why they booked him on the show.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_03]: He's a great athlete.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_03]: He's not a wrestler.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_03]: He can't amoke.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_03]: I was not into this match.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_03]: I love the tag teams, though.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_03]: Like the legit tag teams without celebrities.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_03]: You know, I love those tax aims, LA night, they just got to find something to do for him, you know, very forgetful match.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_03]: Not very into it, but I do love the tax aims.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_03]: Those two tax aims, if they get into some type of mix where they're going back and forth for a title, I would be into it, but not a very memorable match and gotten forgotten.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, similar for me.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_01]: I thought it was a bit rushed, right?
- 12:46[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of these matches felt like they were a bit rushed.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, there's one actually.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_03]: Absolutely hated and we'll get to it.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_01]: but shorter matches mean more advertising and we just talked about that.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_01]: So we kind of know why these matches were rushed.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_01]: My kid's same thing.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_01]: I got a 10 year old son and a 14 year old son.
- 13:00[SPEAKER_01]: They were all about eye show speed.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_01]: Speed got to do the splash from the top to the outside through the announced table.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_01]: That's all they cared about.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_01]: Other than that, like you said, kind of forgetful and I felt the same as well.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_01]: But then,
- 13:14[SPEAKER_01]: We go to another match, an unsanctioned match where Jacob Fattu, your guy, defeated Drew McIntyre, even though Drew McIntyre had a sword in his entrance, and this match was unsanctioned, he failed to impail Jacob Fattu with the sword, which would have in my opinion guaranteed victory.
- 13:32[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I despise the the run up to this match where Drew McIntyre's essentially calling Jacob Fatu a criminal and Jacob Fatu saying I'm not a criminal, but he your whole persona and your whole aesthetic is that you are a criminal, and that's why it and that's fine and people dig it, right?
- 13:50[SPEAKER_01]: Embrace your past he did do jail time when he was 18 for robbery, so I mean he's past that life is moved on he seems like a good family man, but
- 13:59[SPEAKER_03]: and Paul Hayman and Paul Hayman very famously cut a great promo in a backstage show on raw where he tells Roman Reigns, I understand what you're doing with your family here, but some of these people are criminals.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_03]: And I thought and look, if you make me giggle, it works.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, because you're listening an emotion from me.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, look, it's a, it's a, it's a good match.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_03]: You know, it seems like Drew McIntyre has to go on some type of press tour because he's going to be on highlanders.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_03]: So kind of forgetful match, right result.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, similar feelings for me, another one that felt a little rushed.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_01]: We got some good moments in there, some good action, good for Jacob fought to get in the, getting the win at WrestleMania.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_01]: It's kind of a big deal for him, but, uh,
- 14:53[SPEAKER_01]: Nothing to write home about in that one.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 14:56[SPEAKER_03]: But he should be moving on to from midcard status to headlining some shows here soon.
- 15:06[SPEAKER_03]: Next match.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_01]: All right, we had the women's tag team championship fatal four-way match where Brebella and the returning page taking over for an injured Nikki Bella defeated Naya Jax, Lash legend, Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss and Bailey and Lyra Valkyria.
- 15:23[SPEAKER_01]: What do you think of that one, Elf?
- 15:25[SPEAKER_03]: uh, another forgetful match, but the crowd finally woke up, right?
- 15:29[SPEAKER_03]: Like when Paige returned, huge pop when she wins, crowd went crazy.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_03]: So I guess the crowd was kind of a sleepy, sleepy start to to the night and this woke them up.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm a fan of Paige.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, although she seemed very, very thin.
- 15:47[SPEAKER_03]: It's, and this is going to be, this is going to be a theme going forward.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_03]: It seems like all these women that have had injuries tend to lighten up and I don't know.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know who's who's the head trainer at WWE, but I think it's the opposite, isn't it?
- 16:04[SPEAKER_03]: Like you want to strengthen your core.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_03]: You don't want to lighten the load, like I think you're inviting more injuries.
- 16:10[SPEAKER_03]: But it's good to see that she's back because, you know,
- 16:13[SPEAKER_03]: Although she wasn't a w if you watched a wrestle at a w she essentially wrestled like like under the giant she was never off her feet never taking bumps Like you could tell she was compensating So and I don't believe she took a bump in here either.
- 16:27[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think so
- 16:29[SPEAKER_01]: So whatever allows her yeah, whatever allows her to get through the match, I'm not going to falter for not bumping.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_01]: There's been plenty of matches after I had my spinal fusion surgery where I didn't bump either.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_01]: You try to be as entertaining as you can while being as safe as you can.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_01]: So you know for me it was just it was good to see page back.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_01]: I've known page since she was 16 years old.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_01]: So quite a long time down and it's good to see her back where she belongs and that's the WWE.
- 16:57[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_03]: And I guess she's going to be, well, she's a tag champion now.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_03]: Yep.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_01]: So see where they go.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_03]: Usually the WWE has like a, like they have a rhythm to the women's division.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_03]: Usually your tag champs, you lose it and they move you up into, into championship contention.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_03]: So maybe page is going to be doing more shows.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_03]: And she's going to be on one of the brands.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_01]: So we show.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_03]: Not a great match, but you know, great surprise.
- 17:25[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, and that's what WrestleMania needs is some good surprises right keep people on their toes going from one one women's match to another Becky Lynch defeated AJ leave for the women's intercontinental championship.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, these two did not have chemistry for a very long time.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_03]: I thought this was their best match together.
- 17:46[SPEAKER_03]: And
- 17:48[SPEAKER_03]: I still don't see it.
- 17:49[SPEAKER_03]: I think Becky is best as a baby face.
- 17:51[SPEAKER_03]: I think Seth Rollins can do both.
- 17:53[SPEAKER_03]: But I think Seth Rollins is better as a heel.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_03]: So, but it's a weird thing, right?
- 17:57[SPEAKER_03]: Like you got both on the roster.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_03]: They're both, most of the time going back to back and some of these shows.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_03]: And once better as a baby face and the other one's better as a heel, like that's a tough one, right?
- 18:11[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, you almost got to like coordinate their heel turns together and then they team up and wrestle who they wrestle bearing corps when they were baby faces and that on some iron.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_01]: I don't remember the mixed tag team match.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_01]: He was all in it, but but yeah, AJ and Becky had a good one.
- 18:28[SPEAKER_01]: I agree with you.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_01]: If I do think this was their best match and
- 18:31[SPEAKER_01]: Honestly, as far as night one goes, probably my second favorite match behind a match that we've yet to talk about.
- 18:39[SPEAKER_01]: But I thought AJ and Becky did a really good job in this one, and considering AJ is a pretty part-time performer at this point, I think they got the right result in putting the title back on Becky.
- 18:53[SPEAKER_03]: Absolutely.
- 18:54[SPEAKER_03]: And you know, not a memorable match again, but you know, like we're not going to be
- 19:02[SPEAKER_03]: you know good results and their best match easily.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_01]: So going from Becky Lynch now we're going to talk about Seth Rollins as the next match was Gunther defeating Seth Rollins in what I considered to be match of the night for night one.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_01]: This one was my favorite match of night one.
- 19:18[SPEAKER_03]: I agree.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_03]: This was and it was expected.
- 19:21[SPEAKER_03]: It was the most predictable.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_03]: Not finished because I could see it a couple of ways.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_03]: Like I was thinking, you know what?
- 19:28[SPEAKER_03]: Seth Rollins can eat this out and then just takes a beating after the bell and that works the same way, right?
- 19:36[SPEAKER_03]: So so I didn't mind the result.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_03]: I think the result was fine.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_03]: Like it could have gone either way.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_03]: It's probably a little bit better that the Gunther gets the win here, you know, because he was on a rhythm of losing.
- 19:48[SPEAKER_03]: They even brought it up on the broadcast.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_03]: When they brought it up at the broadcast, I'm like, oh, no, they're doing this thing where they're softening it up for us to accept another Gunther loss, because they explained how Gunther had had lost like tuna row at WrestleMania.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_03]: and this could would be would be three in a row.
- 20:07[SPEAKER_03]: Oh my god boy, are they preparing it?
- 20:09[SPEAKER_03]: But no, he wins.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_03]: The return of bra and breaker.
- 20:12[SPEAKER_03]: I guess this is going to be a thing going forward.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_03]: I think Seth Rollins has a lot of runway to do a lot of different things.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_03]: So it's a good match.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_03]: If further is a lot of storylines and of course the work was fabulous.
- 20:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and I think I might have even mentioned on last week's episode that you'd probably see a brown breaker return in this one.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not not any information I had ahead of time, just something that felt predictable, but I think a lot of times that old IWC, like you were talking about earlier, they confused predictable with bad.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_01]: Sometimes being predictable is just fine, right?
- 20:46[SPEAKER_01]: And I think a brown breaker Seth Rollins' feud is going to be exciting and we're all gonna be winners watching that one.
- 20:53[SPEAKER_01]: I had no problem with a quote unquote dirty finish.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_01]: It's pro wrestling.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_01]: It happens all the time and allows us to continue a story.
- 21:00[SPEAKER_01]: But I think from about the midway point on in that match, it was just phenomenal work from both men, Rollins and Gunther there.
- 21:09[SPEAKER_01]: I was texting Seth after the match and he was like, what'd you think?
- 21:12[SPEAKER_01]: Was it all right?
- 21:13[SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, brother, you still got it.
- 21:15[SPEAKER_01]: You still got it.
- 21:16[SPEAKER_01]: Match the night in my opinion.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_01]: So I was pretty good one.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and go to his fabulous, like he's, he's absolutely great.
- 21:24[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, next match.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_01]: Well, before we get to the, the main event, we had a, a surprise announcement from Bianca Belair.
- 21:31[SPEAKER_01]: Montez Ford's been putting in the work, not on screen, but apparently behind the scenes.
- 21:35[SPEAKER_01]: Bianca Belair is expecting her first child.
- 21:39[SPEAKER_03]: And remember when I told you that it was a diabolical move for Montez Ford to be relegated to dark matches and then just put one and put a button in the oven and one of the hottest properties that WWE owns, which is Bianca Belair, diabolical move.
- 21:56[SPEAKER_03]: Guess who was on RAW to open up the show?
- 21:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I see where you go with this.
- 22:04[SPEAKER_03]: The street profits, street profits made them return.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_03]: Which is a good tag, it's a tag team that I like.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_03]: And I think we talked about this privately, but Triple H hates tag team wrestling, right?
- 22:14[SPEAKER_03]: Because my god, he has so much talent right now in the tag team division.
- 22:19[SPEAKER_03]: And look, first of all,
- 22:21[SPEAKER_03]: no tag title got defended at WrestleMania, which is a joke.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_03]: And nobody really, they don't seem to care about tag titles on Raw or SmackDown.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_03]: I don't remember the last time.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_03]: What was the last time?
- 22:36[SPEAKER_03]: Can you even remember when Raw or SmackDown had main event?
- 22:41[SPEAKER_03]: The tag titles are on the line.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_01]: Good.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_03]: So I guess Triple H just hates tag team wrestling, right?
- 22:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and I would have loved to have seen my student Nathan Frazier make his WrestleMania debut, unfortunately, that didn't happen.
- 22:53[SPEAKER_01]: I would have loved to have seen a couple of friends of mine, Alex Shelley and Chris Saben, make their WrestleMania debut and that didn't happen either.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, they'll have to wait another year.
- 23:03[SPEAKER_01]: Hopefully they'll get it done next year.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_01]: Unfortunately, they have to fly over to Saudi Arabia to get that done.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_03]: Well, hopefully somebody gets into, you know, what's weird is that he has a Michael P.S.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_03]: Hayes standing right next to him and Michael P.S.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_03]: Hayes is only famous for being in an legendary tag team, right?
- 23:19[SPEAKER_03]: Very true.
- 23:20[SPEAKER_03]: So, hopefully, you know, Michael Hayes gets in his ear and says, you know what, we have a lot of ton of here in the tag team division.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_03]: We should be doing something with it.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_03]: So,
- 23:34[SPEAKER_01]: All right, that brings us to our main event of night one, Cody Rhodes defeated Randy Orton, retaining the WWE Championship.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_01]: What'd you think of this one off?
- 23:44[SPEAKER_03]: great physicality, great physicality.
- 23:48[SPEAKER_03]: They beat the piss out of each other.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_03]: They worked the match backwards, like you had mentioned privately, where one was working as a heal.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_03]: Randy was working as a baby face while, Cody was working as a heal.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_03]: Cody, I guess you could explain it by the result, that he won, that he's not gonna be a sap anymore.
- 24:06[SPEAKER_03]: Remember last year, we were talking about, man,
- 24:09[SPEAKER_03]: Cody Rhodes has some sap that could easily get distracted and lose a title.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_03]: It's stupid.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
- 24:17[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 24:17[SPEAKER_03]: Well, no more, right?
- 24:18[SPEAKER_03]: No more.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_01]: That's not happening in our image.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_01]: For me, it was an, it was an interesting match.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_01]: It was confusing in a lot of ways for me, right?
- 24:27[SPEAKER_01]: You know, because at the beginning, you go, okay, so maybe we're going to get a double turn heel here, right?
- 24:32[SPEAKER_01]: Cody turns heel Randy turns baby face, maybe Randy eaks out the wind in that regard in that respect.
- 24:39[SPEAKER_01]: And the crowd was kind of.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_01]: playing along with that.
- 24:43[SPEAKER_01]: They were booing Cody Rhodes.
- 24:44[SPEAKER_01]: They were cheering Randy or and so you thought maybe this is how it's going to go down, you know, and then by the end of it.
- 24:52[SPEAKER_01]: After the match is over.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_01]: First of all, you see Cody winning with a low blow, which is very heelish obviously.
- 24:58[SPEAKER_01]: And then after the match is over, you see Randy attacking Cody with the belt, which immediately returns him back to heel status after spending the entire match wrestling is a baby face.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_01]: So a lot of that was.
- 25:10[SPEAKER_01]: confusing to me, I'm interested in seeing where that goes, Randy gives the RKO to Pat McAfee, Pat McAfee then goes on his show the following day yesterday and talks about how he's done with the professional wrestling business.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_01]: He thanked everybody for allowing him to be a part of the wrestling business for as long as he was and he says he's done.
- 25:30[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see if that ends up being true or if money talks and lords him back.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_01]: But
- 25:35[SPEAKER_01]: For me, I thought, like you said, good physicality and good work in the match, it was just confusing.
- 25:41[SPEAKER_01]: And it was an interesting booking decision from my perspective.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_01]: And I think I would like to double turn.
- 25:49[SPEAKER_01]: I think I would have liked Cody adding another element to his character and coming out of WrestleMania as a heal.
- 25:55[SPEAKER_01]: I understand why they don't do it.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_01]: He's your white meat baby face, all the kids love them.
- 25:58[SPEAKER_01]: He's your merchandise king, or at least one of them.
- 26:06[SPEAKER_03]: And then you had that punt, the pump, what's that?
- 26:10[SPEAKER_03]: Look, I saw it on slow motion.
- 26:12[SPEAKER_03]: And it didn't look like he hit him for real.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_03]: He made contact, obviously, because they're pros.
- 26:20[SPEAKER_03]: They're going to make it look good, right?
- 26:22[SPEAKER_03]: But it wasn't like one of those things like, hey, it's WrestleMania, lay it in, and then do just kicks me right in the face.
- 26:28[SPEAKER_03]: You know what I mean?
- 26:29[SPEAKER_03]: It wasn't one of those.
- 26:30[SPEAKER_03]: But the result was there.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if you saw Cody Rhodes's eye.
- 26:35[SPEAKER_03]: Like that looks like an eye that's not gonna see a ring for a while.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_02]: Looking all right.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_03]: And it kind of makes sense because he has to do the street fighter press tour.
- 26:46[SPEAKER_03]: It begins, I believe, this month in this coming month in May.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_03]: So, what did you make of that?
- 26:52[SPEAKER_03]: I thought that, because look, I didn't watch raw, but I had my daughter give me a synopsis.
- 26:57[SPEAKER_03]: I asked her a bunch of questions, and I think they dropped the ball.
- 27:01[SPEAKER_03]: There was no announcement on raw, and I understand that Randy Orton's smack down, smack down guy, right?
- 27:07[SPEAKER_03]: but they dropped the ball on raw they should have announced a suspension for for annual right and I'm sure my way to smack them right yeah I've already wants to go home and rest up the back man once you get to this age in the pro wrestling business you need a little bit of time off after a grueling main event like he just did but but you agree right they can't leave this the punt kick just festering therefore for five days right
- 27:35[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, I guess the very least it gives us a reason to tune into SmackDown and see what's going to happen to Randy and see if there's any repercussions for the punt.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, you know, I'd like to say, well, you can only fit so much on one program, but Ross, damn near three hours every week, so we'll see what happens, come Friday.
- 27:54[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you know, I wanted to see Jim Toney come out and, you know, and give a ruley.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_03]: when I was younger, and I saw Jim Toney.
- 28:07[SPEAKER_03]: I thought Jim Toney really was the commissioner of WWF.
- 28:09[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, well, who was he, by the way, do you remember who he was?
- 28:15[SPEAKER_01]: Gosh, I, you know, at one point in my life, I think I knew, but not no longer I'd have to do some Google search and.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_03]: But you remember right, Jim Toney used to be at every single contract signing?
- 28:25[SPEAKER_01]: Was it, it was, wasn't it Jack?
- 28:27[SPEAKER_01]: Toney?
- 28:28[SPEAKER_03]: Or is it Jim Toney or Jack Toney, Jack Toney?
- 28:31[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 28:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Jack Toney, God, there he is.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_01]: Let's see if I can get him on camera here.
- 28:36[SPEAKER_01]: There he is.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_01]: There he is.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_01]: All Jack Toney, do it a little Google search.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_01]: He was a Canadian professional wrestling promoter and best known internationally for serving as the K-Fab president of the World Wrestling Federation.
- 28:53[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, hey, they sold me like when I was a kid I was like, oh, that guy's the boss like he runs this whole thing and this man is just some, you know, some lowly announced it.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he's a crony.
- 29:07[SPEAKER_01]: I remember finding out he was the owner and I was like, what the announcer owns the company?
- 29:10[SPEAKER_01]: This is weird.
- 29:12[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, me too.
- 29:13[SPEAKER_03]: I remember when that happened I was like, what?
- 29:17[SPEAKER_03]: All right, by the way, let's give, let's give Knight one.
- 29:21[SPEAKER_03]: I give it a, a tepid, you know, approval.
- 29:24[SPEAKER_03]: It was okay.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_01]: It was fine.
- 29:26[SPEAKER_01]: It was fine.
- 29:28[SPEAKER_01]: It wasn't bad, but not my favorite.
- 29:31[SPEAKER_01]: I did think Knight 2 was a superior event starting off with Oberfemi defeating Brock Lesnar and then Brock Lesnar seemingly retiring at the end of that one.
- 29:42[SPEAKER_01]: Would you make a bit off?
- 29:44[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I love the match, look, I did not want to squash a squash match, like, come on, you know, I'm going to do that now.
- 29:53[SPEAKER_03]: No, it was.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_03]: It didn't go long, but it was one of those matches that when it ended, I was thinking, you know what, they could have done five more minutes here and they would have been just fine.
- 30:02[SPEAKER_03]: Like, you know, see a few more hard hitting, you know, see a couple more bumps, a couple more suplexes, you know, get more shit in and, you know, indulged a little bit because I thought I was that good.
- 30:14[SPEAKER_03]: I thought I was really, really good.
- 30:16[SPEAKER_03]: It was, you know, I wasn't bored by it.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_03]: I wanted more of it and that's kind of like what you want, right?
- 30:21[SPEAKER_03]: But I guess it's just fine.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_01]: and he retires he does that x sign what what does that mean by the way when uh... usually that means you're injured your hurt maybe he was maybe that was uh... him telling heyman up i'm old i'm injured i can't do this anymore i need to go retire on the farm
- 30:38[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I found it was a great match.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_03]: And it sets up Boba Femi going forward.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_03]: The crowd absolutely loves all.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_03]: Boba Femi.
- 30:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 30:47[SPEAKER_01]: Boba Femi is a problem in this one.
- 30:49[SPEAKER_01]: And you got it.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_01]: Tip your hat to Brock Lesnar for the way he put over Oba in that one.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_01]: You know, Brock Lesnar is a big dude.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_01]: And he can be a stubborn dude.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_01]: And if he doesn't want to work with you and he doesn't want to put you over.
- 31:01[SPEAKER_01]: You're not going to make him, but you could tell that Brock saw some major potential in Ober and looks to him as the future of, you know, the behemoths in WWE.
- 31:14[SPEAKER_01]: So Kudos to Brock for allowing that match to happen and Kudos to Ober Femi for seizing the spotlight because he did not under deliver.
- 31:23[SPEAKER_01]: He gave you exactly what you were looking for in that one and it was a fun way to open night too.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_03]: And by the way, did you see the post show or no?
- 31:32[SPEAKER_01]: No, I went straight to bed.
- 31:34[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, oh man.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_03]: I watched the post show.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_03]: I grabbed a cigar, I sat down, I watched the post show, enjoyed the post show because the post show is where they essentially lay out the next six months.
- 31:50[SPEAKER_03]: And when Obofemi came out, he said, all the right things.
- 31:55[SPEAKER_03]: Like he broke one thing I love from wrestlers is when they break character, but they're kind of still in character, you know?
- 32:01[SPEAKER_03]: When they break character and say, oh, you know, Brock's a great guy, you know, he's a great wrestler.
- 32:06[SPEAKER_03]: It's my privilege to have beaten him, you know, it wasn't easy, you know?
- 32:12[SPEAKER_03]: But he's kind of like saying, you know, thank you Brock for putting me over.
- 32:15[SPEAKER_03]: I kind of like that, but that he's kind of stayed in character and then he said by moving on to bigger and better things and what bigger and better thing than the OTC and the crowd loses their absolute shit at that point.
- 32:32[SPEAKER_03]: They start chanting Ober Ober later on in the post show Roman Reigns comes up.
- 32:39[SPEAKER_03]: They don't let him speak while chanting Ober Ober Ober and
- 32:45[SPEAKER_03]: Roman turns around and tells them to shut up and wait your turn, which is, I think, great.
- 32:53[SPEAKER_03]: I hope the crowd is not going to ruin this, like, don't hurry this, let this marinate because this should be a one year built.
- 33:03[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I agree.
- 33:05[SPEAKER_03]: Don't worry about this.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_03]: Don't throw this on Summerslam, you know?
- 33:10[SPEAKER_03]: Let this go for a year.
- 33:12[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see if they have the patience for it.
- 33:14[SPEAKER_01]: You're right, the internet wrestling crowd is impatient beyond belief sometimes.
- 33:21[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 33:21[SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, great match, great result.
- 33:24[SPEAKER_03]: I like everything about it.
- 33:26[SPEAKER_03]: Muguna.
- 33:27[SPEAKER_01]: All right, we had the Intercontinental Championship ladder match after that Penta defeated Javan Evans, Dragon Lee, JD MacDuna, Rusev, and Ray Mysterio.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_01]: What do you think of this one, Alpha?
- 33:38[SPEAKER_03]: I would have bet dollars to donuts that this is going to be a complete shit show.
- 33:42[SPEAKER_03]: And to the point where I was going to probably check out of this match at mid match, I thought it was actually pretty good.
- 33:51[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and I feel bad for Rousseau.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_03]: First of all, Gray Result, like Penta could not lose in this match, you know, he has bigger things down the road.
- 34:01[SPEAKER_03]: So Gray Result, like the result is what mattered.
- 34:04[SPEAKER_03]: I thought the match was actually pretty decent, pretty damn good.
- 34:08[SPEAKER_03]: And I even thought Rousseau got some good stuff in and I thought he worked, because when you look at the booking of the match,
- 34:16[SPEAKER_03]: pretty much everybody's a high flyer and you got one guy who's who's bolted to the ground.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_03]: How is this going to work?
- 34:22[SPEAKER_03]: It worked.
- 34:24[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it absolutely worked.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_01]: He's what we call a good base, right?
- 34:28[SPEAKER_01]: He allows the the flippy guys to do their flips and they sure flips that they'd
- 34:32[SPEAKER_01]: this match was a fireworks show right from start to finish you got to see some of the coolest shit you were gonna see all weekend right here all packed into one match I thought Javan Evans had a really good showing Ray Mysterio at 51 years old still going out there and doing some of the craziest stuff you'll see over the over the two nights of WrestleMania so Kudos to him everybody looked good and you're right it was it was a fun match that just gave
- 35:02[SPEAKER_01]: even outside of that unsanctioned match, which obviously weapons were involved.
- 35:07[SPEAKER_01]: This was a high-flying spectacle, and it was entertaining, very entertaining.
- 35:13[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and great match, great result, and Penta Penta's superover, and we did like a little our own little top 10.
- 35:22[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if you remember.
- 35:23[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 35:26[SPEAKER_03]: And my hot take is that
- 35:30[SPEAKER_01]: And that is a hot take, but I mean, he's doing it at a really high level right now and he's certainly one of the most world famous luchadors of all time.
- 35:39[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and he has and his fan fan base absolutely loves him.
- 35:44[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 35:44[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, next match.
- 35:46[SPEAKER_03]: And by the way, right after this match, George Kittle drank two beers on camera, Chuck them both, Lysson's challenge, Rob Brown, Kowski to a chug off.
- 35:57[SPEAKER_03]: And I got to say very disappointing disappointed in Krunk.
- 36:04[SPEAKER_03]: He didn't have any.
- 36:05[SPEAKER_03]: I know he's gimmick.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_03]: His gimmick is that he's the party guy.
- 36:09[SPEAKER_03]: He's not.
- 36:10[SPEAKER_03]: He's not.
- 36:11[SPEAKER_01]: He's got to tilt it back a little bit more.
- 36:13[SPEAKER_03]: Get that whole.
- 36:15[SPEAKER_03]: So there I say Rob Grunkowski is a fake.
- 36:20[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe, maybe he's just getting older.
- 36:22[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, I have drank with George Kittle and that's not a work.
- 36:27[SPEAKER_01]: He wasn't doing that for the cameras.
- 36:28[SPEAKER_01]: That boy loves to pound some beers and he wants you to keep up with him.
- 36:33[SPEAKER_01]: The problem is George, I'm not 64 240 like you are.
- 36:37[SPEAKER_01]: So after we're done with beers 10-11-12, I need to hit the hay at 10-30 at night while you can keep party and head into the next bar.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_01]: So that's a huge, George K.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_03]: So George, by way George Kittle, absolutely.
- 36:52[SPEAKER_03]: Hello, he's coming off of Vinnager right now.
- 36:53[SPEAKER_03]: Absolutely, when he retired.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_03]: Like he's going to a stand, right?
- 36:56[SPEAKER_01]: In WWE.
- 36:57[SPEAKER_01]: He loves wrestling too much.
- 36:59[SPEAKER_01]: Genuine fan.
- 37:00[SPEAKER_03]: And by the way, he's, he's Penta's biggest fan.
- 37:04[SPEAKER_01]: So he loves Penta.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_03]: So he got to do the, the, the several meadow on camera and got to chuck two beers and then we move on to the next match.
- 37:13[SPEAKER_01]: Which was trick Williams defeating Sami Zain for the US championship.
- 37:17[SPEAKER_03]: This match was confusing and in my opinion, the worst match of the entire weekend.
- 37:23[SPEAKER_03]: And I'll tell you why.
- 37:24[SPEAKER_03]: They got all their shit was gonna get in, but trick Williams acts like a heel, but as a baby face is treated like a baby face.
- 37:35[SPEAKER_03]: And then you have Sammy, who acts like a baby face, even claims on camera about why are you calling me gingerbread man, and obviously it bothers him.
- 37:48[SPEAKER_03]: And it's obviously an act, because it's wrestling.
- 37:51[SPEAKER_03]: So he's selling whatever the promo is, is trying to sell.
- 37:56[SPEAKER_03]: And then he wrestles like a heel, the crowd absolutely despises him.
- 38:02[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know, does a brainbuster on the apron and a holova kick of which the announcers tried to not sell.
- 38:12[SPEAKER_03]: They said, oh, big boot to the face.
- 38:14[SPEAKER_03]: No, that was a holova kick.
- 38:15[SPEAKER_03]: I saw it.
- 38:17[SPEAKER_03]: That was his finishing move outside and he did it within five minutes of the bell.
- 38:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, this was a rushed one for sure.
- 38:25[SPEAKER_03]: You could tell those guys had like a plane to catch the whole match went eight minutes and two seconds.
- 38:31[SPEAKER_01]: You'd have to think that maybe they were given a longer amount of time originally and then some stuff went long ahead of them and so they got cut down to eight minutes.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_01]: at some point so they were just rushing to get their big stuff in, but you know, I'm kind of on the kind of on the same pages you have kind of a match to forget in my book.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_01]: I'm a big fan of Sammy Zane, you know, been on a lot of shows with him when we were younger, he's a friend of mine, but it wasn't my favorite match that we can.
- 38:58[SPEAKER_03]: He's a Hall of Famer, but this was a shit match.
- 39:01[SPEAKER_03]: You cannot give, I don't care, yeah, you're the heel in this match, you're gonna work like a heel.
- 39:07[SPEAKER_03]: Great, but you can't give your finisher and a brainbuster on the apron and lose in eight minutes.
- 39:15[SPEAKER_03]: Like who's trick Williams?
- 39:16[SPEAKER_03]: He's the owner of the giant or Hulk Hogan in his prime.
- 39:20[SPEAKER_03]: You know, like, how do you win in eight minutes and take a finisher on the outside?
- 39:25[SPEAKER_03]: And get a nine count, by the way.
- 39:28[SPEAKER_03]: And then take a brainbuster on the apron and roll into the ring and win inside of eight minutes.
- 39:35[SPEAKER_03]: Like the whole logic of the match, it was kind of confusing and yeah, I thought it was a bad introduction to although I don't think the fans are going to care because trick Williams is over and they like you know over.
- 39:46[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I thought it was a bad introduction of trick Williams to the casual fan like myself who has maybe seen trick Williams wrestle three times.
- 39:58[SPEAKER_03]: you know.
- 39:58[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 39:59[SPEAKER_01]: Well, we'll see where he goes from here, but moving on, we had the street fight, the return of the demon, Finn Baller, he defeated Dominic Mysterio in this one.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe not a surprising result.
- 40:12[SPEAKER_01]: The demon remains undefeated in WWE action.
- 40:15[SPEAKER_01]: I thought this was a good match.
- 40:18[SPEAKER_01]: I enjoyed this match.
- 40:19[SPEAKER_01]: Again, another one that felt a little rushed in my opinion, but but still a quality match.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_01]: Did you feel the same about that one out?
- 40:27[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, great result.
- 40:28[SPEAKER_03]: I love the demon.
- 40:30[SPEAKER_03]: I like that.
- 40:30[SPEAKER_03]: I love that they're protecting it.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_03]: He is undefeated, by the way.
- 40:34[SPEAKER_03]: I believe he's like seven and oh, as a demon in WWE.
- 40:37[SPEAKER_03]: So they're protecting it, which is a good thing.
- 40:40[SPEAKER_03]: My only problem with the match is that the bell sounded at four, 15 local time.
- 40:47[SPEAKER_03]: So the demon is not a scary, at least his entrance is not a scary when it's like,
- 40:53[SPEAKER_03]: broad daylight outside and it's shining through the roof.
- 40:57[SPEAKER_03]: So that's my only complaint that the entrance could have been better.
- 41:01[SPEAKER_03]: I thought Dominic's entrance as a Aztec warrior with with the Los Santos match.
- 41:07[SPEAKER_03]: Los Santos a mask really really worked.
- 41:12[SPEAKER_03]: But you know the entrance is aside great match, you know, a bit hurry like you wanted to see a little bit more but right result so you
- 41:21[SPEAKER_01]: It really felt like, between both nights, they were keeping a lot of the undercard matches short so that they could really focus on having some long main events.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_01]: Night two, certainly had that long main event, but with what they had, I thought it was a good showing from both guys, it's good to see Finn Baller back, doing the demon, but also just being Finn Baller.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_01]: And I mean, I wasn't a huge fan of his heel work in the judgment day, so I'm kind of glad he's back to be in a baby face and maybe he'll get a little push
- 41:51[SPEAKER_02]: Mm-hmm.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_01]: Now if we move on to the WWE Women's Championship match from Sunday, Rear Ripley defeated Jade Cargill to become the new champion.
- 42:03[SPEAKER_03]: Look, on its own, it's a good match.
- 42:06[SPEAKER_03]: I thought Jade Cargill looked great.
- 42:09[SPEAKER_03]: This is the best she's ever wrestled maybe.
- 42:12[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 42:13[SPEAKER_03]: And to do it at WrestleMania is a good thing.
- 42:15[SPEAKER_03]: Look Ria is gonna try.
- 42:17[SPEAKER_03]: I thought she struggled through the match.
- 42:20[SPEAKER_03]: I think she's weaker I think losing all that weight and she says it's it's because of her back and there's video There's video on YouTube of her doing those I love those shows by the way where the WWE superstars and sometimes some some athletes they work out with Shamus
- 42:36[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 42:37[SPEAKER_03]: And you see what they do.
- 42:39[SPEAKER_03]: That's the one where I told you, by the way, Sol Ruka, now on the main roster.
- 42:43[SPEAKER_03]: She made her, she made her debut on Raw.
- 42:45[SPEAKER_03]: Like, that's where I saw Sol Ruka's workout and it's insane.
- 42:50[SPEAKER_03]: She almost killed Shamus.
- 42:54[SPEAKER_03]: But Shamus had really Ripley on and really, Ripley basically said, oh, I had to lighten my workout because my back.
- 43:00[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm doing this now.
- 43:01[SPEAKER_03]: I'm doing that now.
- 43:03[SPEAKER_03]: And I was looking at her workout and I'm like,
- 43:06[SPEAKER_03]: That's not an athlete's workout.
- 43:07[SPEAKER_03]: Like, your workout is essentially the workout some housewife might do to slim up.
- 43:13[SPEAKER_03]: And I thought she struggled through it.
- 43:15[SPEAKER_03]: Like, Jade, what could Jade weigh?
- 43:19[SPEAKER_03]: 165 pounds maybe?
- 43:21[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 43:22[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's all muscle.
- 43:24[SPEAKER_03]: And she had a, and really had a hard time bringing her up for the ripped side.
- 43:29[SPEAKER_03]: When that's a move I've seen her do on Charlotte when Charlotte was a little heftier.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_03]: and just planner.
- 43:37[SPEAKER_03]: I've seen her do it on Bianca Belair and Bianca Belair is really dense.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_03]: So I thought she struggled through the match.
- 43:43[SPEAKER_03]: She has to get her body right.
- 43:44[SPEAKER_03]: But she's a check now.
- 43:45[SPEAKER_03]: So she has to be out there more often.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_03]: I think the match was fine.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_03]: Not very memorable.
- 43:53[SPEAKER_03]: I thought the result was bad.
- 43:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I thought that was probably the best Jade Cargill has looked anywhere, really, even when she was in AEW.
- 44:02[SPEAKER_01]: She looks like a star, right?
- 44:04[SPEAKER_01]: She looks like a star.
- 44:05[SPEAKER_01]: She's got the physique of a star.
- 44:07[SPEAKER_01]: Her entrance gear was really cool with the flowing outfit that she had on.
- 44:11[SPEAKER_01]: Like, she's presented like a star.
- 44:15[SPEAKER_01]: The only problem she had was her workrate needed to get a little bit better.
- 44:18[SPEAKER_01]: And I think on Sunday, she took a step in the right direction.
- 44:21[SPEAKER_01]: And as long as she can keep the attitude in check,
- 44:24[SPEAKER_01]: Isn't necessarily a knock on her.
- 44:27[SPEAKER_01]: It's just one of those things where when you haven't been in the wrestling business your entire life, sometimes you don't know what the unwritten rules are.
- 44:34[SPEAKER_01]: Sometimes you don't know what proper etiquette in the locker room or on social media might be.
- 44:40[SPEAKER_01]: So,
- 44:41[SPEAKER_01]: Um, she's getting a crash course in that right now, uh, leading into this one.
- 44:46[SPEAKER_01]: Um, you know, it's, it's hard to, to comment on, on Ria's physique and, and, you know, she's noticeably slimmer than she was, noticeably lighter, noticeably less muscular than she wants, once was, but that's her decision if that's the way she wants to go.
- 45:01[SPEAKER_01]: She wants to be a little bit more feminine looking, which I've heard her say.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_01]: then so be it.
- 45:05[SPEAKER_01]: I think she'll be fine moving forward.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_01]: She's got to get used to the new physique and it should be all right, but this was a match that happened probably a little bit better than I thought it was going to be, but not a standout, not one of my favorites of the weekend.
- 45:21[SPEAKER_03]: But you got to hate the result, right?
- 45:22[SPEAKER_03]: Like why is it grand opening, grand closing on Jade Cargo?
- 45:27[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 45:28[SPEAKER_01]: It's hard to say, you know, maybe some of the backstage stuff was rubbing the people the wrong way, we were going to give her some more time off to progress or maybe either done with her.
- 45:39[SPEAKER_01]: I really don't know.
- 45:40[SPEAKER_01]: It's hard to say where they're going to go with Jade.
- 45:43[SPEAKER_01]: I have been a proponent of when you're bringing in these new additions to the female roster.
- 45:49[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going all the way back to somebody like a Naya Jax where when they're such an outlier
- 45:56[SPEAKER_01]: Let them be your Andre the Giant, let them just destroy these other females time and time and time again give them a super long undefeated streak and then build a baby face up to finally beat them after a year or two years straight of not losing and make it a big deal, but it doesn't feel like they often spend a lot of time fleshing out the stories for the females and they kind of rush them and into your point out this one was a little rushed as well.
- 46:24[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I saw Jade on TV.
- 46:26[SPEAKER_03]: I believe it was Friday before WrestleMania.
- 46:29[SPEAKER_03]: She shows up on TV, looking like a million bucks.
- 46:31[SPEAKER_03]: You could tell she's wearing an expensive suit.
- 46:35[SPEAKER_03]: She has on like a make jacket.
- 46:37[SPEAKER_03]: She has her two lackeys with her.
- 46:39[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm like, man, she looks like a champ.
- 46:40[SPEAKER_03]: She looks like a champ.
- 46:42[SPEAKER_03]: And boom, bye.
- 46:45[SPEAKER_03]: Ha ha ha ha.
- 46:45[SPEAKER_03]: Two days later, two days later, see ya.
- 46:48[SPEAKER_03]: Grand Opening Grand Closing.
- 46:51[SPEAKER_03]: Again, I hate the result.
- 46:54[SPEAKER_01]: All right, before we got to the main event, we saw Dan Housing make his wrestlemania debut coming out with hate and this not me saying it, they said it on TV with a whole bunch of Dan housing midgets.
- 47:06[SPEAKER_01]: They wanted to be called midgets were going to respect their wishes here on this show.
- 47:10[SPEAKER_01]: a whole bunch of digits stressed up as Dan Housing, they come out, there's a segment with John Cena, the Miz and Kit Wilson, an odd segment, but what else would you expect from a character like Dan Housing and John Cena seem to have a good time with it.
- 47:25[SPEAKER_01]: So if the goat says it's cool then I'm cool with it too.
- 47:29[SPEAKER_03]: uh... they didn't use micro wrestlers which is uh... what i've heard before is like the proper nomenclature for for little people but uh... like i got a kick out of it uh... there's two things i've always heard if you come out of a box or you bring out little people it's over like people like who booze little people right now it's that's fun you know right i kind of like how it's
- 47:52[SPEAKER_03]: I like, look, I'll tell you what I did love.
- 47:55[SPEAKER_03]: I love the Danhausen, the disappearing thing and then struggled to get under the ring.
- 48:01[SPEAKER_03]: Love that.
- 48:02[SPEAKER_03]: I absolutely love that.
- 48:04[SPEAKER_03]: Because the camera lingered and you see Danhausen's like, and he's like, damn, I got to get under here.
- 48:08[SPEAKER_03]: I thought it worked.
- 48:11[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah.
- 48:13[SPEAKER_03]: You also had seen a, tell the guy, excuse me, who are you?
- 48:17[SPEAKER_01]: That was funny.
- 48:18[SPEAKER_03]: That was funny.
- 48:21[SPEAKER_03]: Man, I must be the last mid fan on earth because I think he's back.
- 48:27[SPEAKER_03]: I think he's always been pretty good, but you tell me, look, he's going to be a have a job forever.
- 48:30[SPEAKER_03]: If he keeps allowing himself to do stupid shit all the time.
- 48:33[SPEAKER_03]: So, okay, I guess he's going to do this.
- 48:35[SPEAKER_03]: He's going to be the stupid shit guy.
- 48:37[SPEAKER_03]: He's going to be the comedy guy.
- 48:38[SPEAKER_03]: So, I guess he's fine.
- 48:40[SPEAKER_03]: You know, but I've always been mid fan.
- 48:41[SPEAKER_03]: I've always thought that they, you know, he carries himself well.
- 48:44[SPEAKER_03]: It's a good promo.
- 48:45[SPEAKER_03]: It's a great promo.
- 48:46[SPEAKER_03]: But now he's going to be the joke guy.
- 48:48[SPEAKER_03]: I think it works.
- 48:49[SPEAKER_03]: You don't hear.
- 48:50[SPEAKER_01]: You don't hear.
- 48:51[SPEAKER_03]: You don't hear work.
- 48:52[SPEAKER_03]: I think what it work is a downhouse in Ms. rivalry.
- 48:56[SPEAKER_03]: Let's.
- 48:57[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that's what we got going on right now.
- 48:59[SPEAKER_01]: You know, we'll see if it goes beyond this, but it was an enjoyable segment.
- 49:03[SPEAKER_01]: A nice, a nice palette cleanser before we got to our main event.
- 49:08[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
- 49:08[SPEAKER_03]: And what a main event that was.
- 49:10[SPEAKER_01]: It was fantastic Roman Reigns defeated CM Punk to regain or maybe not regain, but when the world heavyweight championship in the main event, in what I thought was one of the best WrestleMania main events we've seen in a long time.
- 49:24[SPEAKER_01]: Again, you go on the internet, you hear people talking about how, oh, Punk's lost a step, he's slower, he's older, man, he was, he was working.
- 49:33[SPEAKER_01]: Right?
- 49:34[SPEAKER_01]: Not every match is going to be a hundred miles an hour.
- 49:36[SPEAKER_01]: Not every match is going to be that firework show that we talked about when discussing the latter match earlier.
- 49:42[SPEAKER_01]: CM Punk was working.
- 49:43[SPEAKER_01]: He was being a professional wrestler.
- 49:45[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't see him punk looked off.
- 49:47[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't think he looked slow.
- 49:48[SPEAKER_01]: I thought he looked fantastic.
- 49:50[SPEAKER_01]: He was in great shape had a nice tan and I thought the match had a ton of drama.
- 49:54[SPEAKER_01]: It was built well and I don't I guess I don't mind the result either.
- 49:59[SPEAKER_01]: To me, it doesn't matter who wins and loses these things.
- 50:02[SPEAKER_01]: But I thought it was a really, really good match and it feels good as somebody who's known CM Punk for nearly 24 years at this point.
- 50:11[SPEAKER_01]: Excuse me.
- 50:12[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, no, God.
- 50:13[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I am old.
- 50:14[SPEAKER_01]: Gosh, 24 years.
- 50:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, as somebody who's known Punk for 24 years, it was nice to see him finally achieve his career goal, which was main
- 50:29[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and I have seen CM Punk be bad in his return, and this was not it.
- 50:35[SPEAKER_03]: He was his kicks had great height.
- 50:38[SPEAKER_03]: He was making contact.
- 50:41[SPEAKER_03]: His GTS has looked great even how the match ended.
- 50:45[SPEAKER_03]: It went right back to what Roman had said about him in the build up to the match that you're old.
- 50:50[SPEAKER_03]: You're on the way out.
- 50:51[SPEAKER_03]: I'm still in my prime.
- 50:53[SPEAKER_03]: It worked.
- 50:54[SPEAKER_03]: It was just a great match.
- 50:55[SPEAKER_03]: And it's easily one of the best WrestleMania matches of all time.
- 51:00[SPEAKER_03]: Is it better than than matchman, steamboat, probably not?
- 51:04[SPEAKER_03]: Is it better than than Shawn Michaels undertaker?
- 51:07[SPEAKER_03]: No.
- 51:08[SPEAKER_03]: but it's, it's in the ballpark, it's in the neighborhood.
- 51:12[SPEAKER_01]: Yep, that was a great match against those for sure.
- 51:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like I said, one of the best made events we've seen in a long time, and I love to finish with see him punk hitting the go to sleep, and then Roman falling into the ropes, and then falling right back on top of see him punk's back and punk going to lift him up for the second go to sleep, but then his back gives out, and he falls down to it's such a dramatic moment.
- 51:35[SPEAKER_01]: I just loved it.
- 51:36[SPEAKER_01]: I really did.
- 51:37[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I absolutely love that match all right now was my match of the weekend by the way, Alff match the weekend right there
- 51:43[SPEAKER_03]: easily match of the weekend match of the year.
- 51:47[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if the WWE does, they still do the slammies, right?
- 51:51[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, honestly.
- 51:53[SPEAKER_03]: Do they give a match of the year award?
- 51:56[SPEAKER_03]: And they give a match of the year slammy.
- 51:58[SPEAKER_03]: I guess this is your winner.
- 52:00[SPEAKER_03]: I don't see, I don't see what's going to come close.
- 52:03[SPEAKER_03]: All right, we went way long on this, but I thought it was worth it.
- 52:07[SPEAKER_03]: And trust me, we'll do, we'll do 30 minutes on the draft.
- 52:10[SPEAKER_03]: So we'll just have a long episode.
- 52:13[SPEAKER_03]: All right.
- 52:14[SPEAKER_01]: The NBA Playoffs episode.
- 52:16[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 52:17[SPEAKER_03]: And of course, the show is brought to you by Underdog Fantasy.

- 53:32[SPEAKER_03]: And we're back.
- 53:33[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, we went way long.
- 53:35[SPEAKER_03]: So I guess we'll just go long.
- 53:36[SPEAKER_03]: It's, it's, it's, it's draft week.
- 53:38[SPEAKER_03]: All right.
- 53:38[SPEAKER_03]: And the next time, and the next time we'll do a show, I don't think we're going to talk too much wrestling because it's, it's going to be, I guess, the recycle of the wrestling year or the, the resetting of the wrestling year.
- 53:51[SPEAKER_03]: By the way, you do look at WrestleMania as like, the end of the wrestling season, right?
- 53:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
- 53:56[SPEAKER_01]: Now, now everything that happens is gearing up towards next year's WrestleMania.
- 54:01[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 54:01[SPEAKER_03]: That's the way I look at it.
- 54:02[SPEAKER_03]: It's kind of like like horse racing, like horse racing ends, in my opinion, the last week of October when it's breeders cup, because that's the end of the wrestling of the horse racing season.
- 54:14[SPEAKER_03]: And the triple crown is essentially the beginning of the horse racing season.
- 54:19[SPEAKER_03]: I think it's the same for for wrestling.
- 54:21[SPEAKER_03]: I know it starts the NFL season.
- 54:26[SPEAKER_03]: And that's what's gonna happen on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, dolphins have seven picks in the top 100 exciting stuff.
- 54:34[SPEAKER_03]: We're gonna get new dolphins.
- 54:36[SPEAKER_03]: What worry about winning six games when it's that time, right?
- 54:40[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 54:41[SPEAKER_03]: But for now, we get to load up on some talents, so much needed talent.
- 54:48[SPEAKER_03]: And they got the ammunition to do it.
- 54:50[SPEAKER_03]: So for the first time in a very, I guess since 2021, when they had three first rompix,
- 54:56[SPEAKER_03]: The first time since then that we're going to have a very exciting weekend, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, a lot of new dolphins, a lot of ammunition, you are as excited as I am.
- 55:10[SPEAKER_01]: Extremely excited, anxious as well, but I think we have the right people in charge.
- 55:18[SPEAKER_01]: I am not as worried about this draft as I have
- 55:20[SPEAKER_01]: You know, the previous however many drafts when Chris Greer was was at the helm, but I think John Erick Sullivan is an intelligent general manager.
- 55:30[SPEAKER_01]: I'm glad he's on our side and I think he's going to leave us all feeling pretty satisfied after Thursday night.
- 55:37[SPEAKER_03]: No.
- 55:39[SPEAKER_03]: Let's start here, and we'll talk about what's being mocked pretty much everywhere else.
- 55:47[SPEAKER_03]: Everybody's kind of settling in on a couple of positions and they're ignoring others.
- 55:54[SPEAKER_03]: And we'll talk about that in a second.
- 55:55[SPEAKER_03]: But do you have any favorites for Thursday or for Friday?
- 56:01[SPEAKER_03]: That's going to be the meat of our draft because we have seven picks in the first three rounds
- 56:08[SPEAKER_03]: in the final three rounds.
- 56:10[SPEAKER_03]: So, what do you think?
- 56:13[SPEAKER_03]: You know, what are, do you have any favorites for 11 for 30?
- 56:17[SPEAKER_03]: I definitely do.
- 56:20[SPEAKER_03]: Do you have any guys that you're thinking about on day two for those four third-ron picks?
- 56:28[SPEAKER_03]: You know, are there any favorites?
- 56:30[SPEAKER_03]: Anything you have marked
- 56:36[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I think the dolphins are in a really good spot at pick number 11.
- 56:39[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, you know, if you can have a top five picker in a better spot, but I don't think the dolphins are going to trade up to acquire one of those, you know, elite prospects in the top five.
- 56:51[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm hoping that a stud prospect ends up falling and sliding down to the dolphins at pick number 11.
- 56:57[SPEAKER_01]: And we've been getting news recently that could allow maybe one of those Miami prospects, either Ruben Bay and Junior,
- 57:04[SPEAKER_01]: or Francis Maui Noah to slip to number 11.
- 57:07[SPEAKER_01]: So for me personally, that's my hope.
- 57:10[SPEAKER_01]: That's my wish.
- 57:10[SPEAKER_01]: I want one of those two guys.
- 57:12[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I will boy here talking to a dude from Miami about how I want the hurricane's guys on the dolphins.
- 57:19[SPEAKER_01]: But I think if you could get Maui Noah or Bane at pick number 11, that would be a home run, Grand Slam, knock it out the park, send everybody home.
- 57:27[SPEAKER_01]: We won the first round, and we still have another pick at pick 30.
- 57:31[SPEAKER_01]: As far as pick 30 goes, I think,
- 57:33[SPEAKER_01]: If you don't end up with a vein, I'd really like to look at one of those edge rushers there.
- 57:37[SPEAKER_01]: I like Malachi Lawrence from UCF.
- 57:39[SPEAKER_01]: I like TJ Parker from Clemson.
- 57:41[SPEAKER_01]: I know you've talked about him some.
- 57:43[SPEAKER_01]: He looks good there.
- 57:44[SPEAKER_01]: So if we can get one of those guys or or if you do end up with vein, maybe you go for an offensive line in there.
- 57:51[SPEAKER_01]: I think offensive line dries up, especially those tackles.
- 57:54[SPEAKER_01]: They're going to drive dry up pretty quickly.
- 57:57[SPEAKER_01]: So if you can come around at pick number 30 and grab yourself an offensive lineman, maybe a guard like Chase Pesantis, or a manual pregnant, or maybe you want to grab the guy from Arizona State Max Icona Chore, I think I got that one right.
- 58:12[SPEAKER_01]: Um, then that's fine, too.
- 58:15[SPEAKER_01]: Or maybe at pick number 30, you say, okay, we weren't willing to trade up from pick number 11, but we can trade up from pick number 30 to go grab somebody who I really like, which is Vega Yuanay from Penn State.
- 58:27[SPEAKER_01]: If he were to somehow slip into, let's say,
- 58:31[SPEAKER_01]: the late teens early 20s could the dolphins make a jump package a third rounder and maybe a future pick to come up and grab somebody like Vega.
- 58:40[SPEAKER_01]: Imagine walking away from the first round with Ruben Bane and Vega Yuanet.
- 58:44[SPEAKER_01]: I'll talk about tone setters and culture changes.
- 58:47[SPEAKER_01]: If they could do that, I would be just ecstatic.
- 58:51[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I've said it before for me.
- 58:53[SPEAKER_03]: It's the two Ohio State guys.
- 58:55[SPEAKER_03]: And not our real reason because there's no chance whatsoever he drops.
- 58:59[SPEAKER_03]: But it's the two Ohio State guys, Caleb Downs, Sonny Stiles, and the two Keynes, Ruben Bane Jr., and Francis Mawinoa, those are the guys.
- 59:07[SPEAKER_03]: Like that's what I want at 11 at 30.
- 59:10[SPEAKER_03]: I've resigned myself to, and I've said this before.
- 59:13[SPEAKER_03]: Look, if I keep seeing it, eventually they're going to see it too, right?
- 59:18[SPEAKER_03]: Because we're all looking at the same tape.
- 59:20[SPEAKER_03]: And I think the NFL has caught on to TJ Parker.
- 59:23[SPEAKER_03]: And look, you could go back to Daniel Jeremiah's, you know, mock drafts in March.
- 59:30[SPEAKER_03]: You had TJ Parker as a mid-second round guy.
- 59:33[SPEAKER_03]: Now he's consensus in the first round.
- 59:37[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think he's making it to 30, but if he does, then that's my guy.
- 59:41[SPEAKER_03]: Absolutely.
- 59:42[SPEAKER_03]: Another guy is Colton Hood.
- 59:44[SPEAKER_03]: I absolutely love him.
- 59:46[SPEAKER_03]: If he can make it to 30, I have my doubts on him too.
- 59:50[SPEAKER_03]: But I do like Malachi Lawrence, and absolutely, that's somebody that would make a lot of sense to them.
- 59:57[SPEAKER_03]: At 30, if they're not going to do a Ruben Bay and Junior at 11, if he's there.
- 1:00:03[SPEAKER_03]: You know, what do you make a, what do you think about killing a killing an ant with a sledgehammer and just doubling up like if you need secondary help if you got if you need secondary help and let's say you're fortunate enough to take kill of downs out 11 come right back at 30 and take a corner back.
- 1:00:22[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, or if you take Ruben Bane at 11 and TJ Parker's there at 30 take Ruben Bane and TJ Parker.
- 1:00:29[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, God talk about striking fear into opposing quarterback.
- 1:00:34[SPEAKER_03]: Let's let's let's go a step further.
- 1:00:36[SPEAKER_03]: You take Vega.
- 1:00:37[SPEAKER_03]: You want a at 11 and a hand a chore at 30.
- 1:00:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:00:44[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm fine with that, too.
- 1:00:46[SPEAKER_01]: That is kind of the magic in the beauty of having 11 draft picks and seven in the top 100.
- 1:00:52[SPEAKER_01]: You can go any which way, any which combination, and you can end up with some really solid football players that could set the foundation for this team for many years to come.
- 1:01:03[SPEAKER_03]: So.
- 1:01:05[SPEAKER_03]: We were already kind of settled on day one.
- 1:01:09[SPEAKER_03]: When you move on to day two, I think that's gonna be the fun day, okay?
- 1:01:12[SPEAKER_03]: They got 43 and then they got four picks in the third round.
- 1:01:16[SPEAKER_03]: I eventually got to get a wide receiver in here.
- 1:01:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, or two, or three.
- 1:01:21[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, now, if you're watching and I guess we'll do that part here before we move on to like guys in day two.
- 1:01:28[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think we'll do guys in day three because those are pretty much lottery picks like we're just scratch off tickets we're pretty much just going to concentrate on the top 100 but the mock drafts they're done they're in the barn.
- 1:01:43[SPEAKER_03]: Odd things have been happening the last couple of days.
- 1:01:46[SPEAKER_03]: Todd McShay has dropped a couple, including one that he did with K Adams, and they're insisting upon a wide receiver at 11.
- 1:01:56[SPEAKER_03]: You don't see it to you.
- 1:01:57[SPEAKER_01]: I do not.
- 1:01:58[SPEAKER_01]: Not.
- 1:01:59[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, John Eric Sullivan wasn't the guy in charge of the drafts in Green Bay.
- 1:02:04[SPEAKER_01]: But if you take the Packers history at wide receiver when it comes to NFL drafts into consideration, it was Matthew Golden this past year and then you have to go all the way back to like, what 2001 for somebody I don't even remember the name of, but it's been a long time.
- 1:02:23[SPEAKER_01]: Suffice to say it's been a long time.
- 1:02:24[SPEAKER_01]: So at number 30, maybe number 11, I don't see it.
- 1:02:28[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I tend to agree.
- 1:02:31[SPEAKER_03]: And here's another one for you.
- 1:02:35[SPEAKER_03]: You have the other side, which is the Daniel Jeremiah's, I already told you, Tom McShay, but Daniel Jeremiah's, no, hyper.
- 1:02:45[SPEAKER_03]: They're insisting upon a corner pack at 11.
- 1:02:47[SPEAKER_03]: Everybody in all of them seem to have moved completely off of edge and offensive line, which is where we think it's going to go.
- 1:02:56[SPEAKER_03]: What do you make of that?
- 1:02:57[SPEAKER_01]: I think that might actually be good for us because if the national media two days before the draft is saying dolphins aren't taking an edge and they're not taking an offensive lineman.
- 1:03:05[SPEAKER_01]: It's smoke screen season baby that might mean the dolphins are absolutely taking an edge or an offensive lineman at pick number 11.
- 1:03:12[SPEAKER_01]: So to me, it feels like Sully would be one of those guys that's really good at the smoke screens, right?
- 1:03:18[SPEAKER_01]: He feels like when you listen to him talk, he feels like a poker player.
- 1:03:22[SPEAKER_03]: Hmm.
- 1:03:23[SPEAKER_03]: Now, we talked about what we want and before we get into day two, let's talk about what we don't want.
- 1:03:29[SPEAKER_03]: Is there a player at 11 where you just grown?
- 1:03:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we talked about this last week and I have not moved off this and I've seen a couple mocks suggesting it's possible, but Celtric folk at number 11 would that would disappoint me.
- 1:03:43[SPEAKER_01]: After all this talk about possibly bane sliding, possibly Maui Noah sliding, you know,
- 1:03:54[SPEAKER_01]: a lot of these positions of need and Keldrick Falk would play a position of need, but I just I don't like him at number 11.
- 1:04:01[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's a reach.
- 1:04:02[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's too high.
- 1:04:03[SPEAKER_01]: At number 30?
- 1:04:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:04:05[SPEAKER_01]: I'd snag him at 30 for sure.
- 1:04:07[SPEAKER_01]: But at number 11, I want somebody, if we're taking a past Russia, I want somebody who's got a little more juice.
- 1:04:12[SPEAKER_01]: little more juice can get to the quarterback can bring them down can can I don't need any more Jalen Phillips is in my life my almost sack defensive ends I need my guys that actually get to the quarterback so yeah good good run defender fall but at number 11 not my guy
- 1:04:30[SPEAKER_03]: mine is pretty pretty consistent throughout this whole thing at 11.
- 1:04:35[SPEAKER_03]: I think you're reasonably high enough where you don't want to take what you perceive as the second best guy at a position group, right?
- 1:04:45[SPEAKER_03]: You want the very best at that position group.
- 1:04:47[SPEAKER_03]: I happen to think that,
- 1:04:52[SPEAKER_03]: The best offensive tackle in this draft.
- 1:04:55[SPEAKER_03]: So Spencer Fano, who I understand is a good player and if they traded down to 1516 and Fred Spano was nowhere to be found.
- 1:05:04[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I would have mind that.
- 1:05:05[SPEAKER_03]: I would have mind something like that.
- 1:05:07[SPEAKER_03]: I happen to think Ruben Bane is the best edge player in this draft.
- 1:05:10[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah
- 1:05:11[SPEAKER_03]: So, you know, taking, I don't know, a David Bailey or something like that, dropping to us after room rain goes, like I don't want second best at any position group at 11.
- 1:05:21[SPEAKER_03]: That would just, you know, makes me a little queasy, you know, at 30.
- 1:05:28[SPEAKER_03]: Is there anything at 30 that they would do that would, you know, besides the obvious, which is taking a quarterback right at 30, but is there anything they could do at 30 that would, you know, I guess taking a running back, but if they did anything at at 30, they pretty much they have car blons right to do whatever they want at 30.
- 1:05:49[SPEAKER_01]: So, and I've heard you guys talk about this and I've seen some mocks with this.
- 1:05:54[SPEAKER_01]: I guess I would be somewhat disappointed if they use number 30 on a defensive tackle right you have the three from last year including your first round pick Kenneth Grant you still got Zach Sealer I understand he's getting up there in age I understand
- 1:06:09[SPEAKER_01]: There's been some chatter and some rumors about the team possibly trading him after June 1st.
- 1:06:14[SPEAKER_01]: I, I, I think give personally need somebody like Sealer to mentor your young defensive tackles as they're coming up here.
- 1:06:21[SPEAKER_01]: And I didn't think that we saw anything from Kenneth Grant that would make me believe that he is the unquestioned, you know, one of the unquestioned starting defensive tackles of this team moving forward, but he's still young, still has a lot of room to grow.
- 1:06:36[SPEAKER_01]: I would understand if they were to go and get somebody at number 30 at the defensive tackle position that they felt was special and transcendent, transcendent, but it would leave me feeling a little bit, okay, all right, that's fine, I guess, you know, not my favorite pick, but we'll make do.
- 1:06:55[SPEAKER_01]: What would you think if they went defensive tackle at 30?
- 1:06:58[SPEAKER_03]: If they went defensive tackle at 30, I would, I would get a little bit crazy about it because I would be thinking about, man, these guys are thinking about 2027 already and it's only, and it's still Thursday at the draft.
- 1:07:13[SPEAKER_03]: And they're already thinking about 2027 because they're essentially replacing Zack Sealer, is what they would what I would be thinking.
- 1:07:20[SPEAKER_03]: And then I would be thinking,
- 1:07:21[SPEAKER_03]: man these guys the valuation of Kenneth Grant not the other guys because the other guys were later on and they're they're more rotational guys like Let's face it we like Jordan Phillips the Jordan Phillips was kind of a kind of a specialist.
- 1:07:34[SPEAKER_03]: He's a zero one shade He's never gonna play 900 snaps right and Zigg Bigger's also a specialist, but Kenneth Grant is supposed to be a guy that's gonna be a high Snap eater.
- 1:07:47[SPEAKER_03]: He's supposed to eat up a lot of snaps
- 1:07:50[SPEAKER_03]: If they're taking a defensive tackle in the first round, that's telling me that they saw the tape and they did not like what they saw in Kenneth Grant.
- 1:08:02[SPEAKER_03]: This past season.
- 1:08:04[SPEAKER_03]: So I'll feel discouraged, really.
- 1:08:07[SPEAKER_03]: If they took a defensive tackle at 30.
- 1:08:10[SPEAKER_01]: And we don't need any more first round bus.
- 1:08:12[SPEAKER_01]: So if they're already telling us that Kenneth Grant is a first round bus, then I'm going to be like, come on, how many of those do we need to have?
- 1:08:20[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, like do we have to do this again, you know, so the only other position that would make me scratch my head a little bit would be like look at the corner back at 30 obviously it's because they're afraid that and I do believe that there's going to be a few that are going to go.
- 1:08:38[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, and in the first round, so they could be fearing a run, because remember, they don't pick again for 13 picks until 43, so they're fearing that a run could come off the board of cornerbacks, and they take one at 30, it's obviously that they just have a really, really good evaluation.
- 1:08:55[SPEAKER_03]: In our mock last night, we saw scenario where Jermaud McCoy began to drop.
- 1:09:01[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, because of the knee, right?
- 1:09:03[SPEAKER_03]: So if he's available at 30, that's something you have to consider.
- 1:09:08[SPEAKER_03]: I would, I would, yeah.
- 1:09:09[SPEAKER_03]: So pretty much, yeah, I would, I'm all in on anything that they want to do.
- 1:09:15[SPEAKER_03]: I would feel discouraged if they took a defensive tackle.
- 1:09:20[SPEAKER_03]: Like that would be very discouraging.
- 1:09:25[SPEAKER_03]: All right, now moving on to day two, any position group that you're they eyeballing for either 43 or
- 1:09:36[SPEAKER_03]: because I'm pretty set in my ways here or for those four third-ron picks.
- 1:09:42[SPEAKER_03]: Well, so on day two.
- 1:09:44[SPEAKER_01]: I think you got it, if you did not address it in round one, you got to start looking at safety here.
- 1:09:48[SPEAKER_01]: I think there's going to be a lot of quality safety's available early on in the second round, maybe a guy that I really like who, maybe not necessarily a true safety but can play a little bit of that nickel roll and can even, you know, head close to the line
- 1:10:06[SPEAKER_01]: As a linebacker on passing down for you, Jalen Kilgore.
- 1:10:10[SPEAKER_01]: I really like Jalen Kilgore.
- 1:10:12[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's a guy that I would target maybe at 43 if I needed to.
- 1:10:17[SPEAKER_01]: You know, some mock draft simulators have him dropping into the 90s.
- 1:10:21[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think that's realistic.
- 1:10:23[SPEAKER_01]: So if you're able to trade back a little bit, get some more picks, and then snag Kilgore, I think that's a...
- 1:10:28[SPEAKER_01]: a win-win, but if you have to take them at 43, I'm okay with that as well, you got AJ Halsey, who's available, you got a manual McNeil Warren, who might be a first round guy, but if he does slide, he's a guy that'd be interested in.
- 1:10:41[SPEAKER_01]: But Clark is another guy maybe not at 43, but if you can get him a little bit later on.
- 1:10:45[SPEAKER_01]: I think safety is a position.
- 1:10:47[SPEAKER_01]: I'm starting to look at here and then you mentioned it, wide receiver.
- 1:10:50[SPEAKER_01]: There's a there's a plethora of day two wide receivers who are going to be available.
- 1:10:55[SPEAKER_01]: And if you didn't address it in round one with a with a Casey conception or or a Denzel Boston, then 43 is a prime spot to take a wide receiver.
- 1:11:05[SPEAKER_01]: And then when you get back into the 90s, you can take another one there, too, because this team certainly needs past catchers.
- 1:11:12[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and I'm with you 1,000% at 43.
- 1:11:16[SPEAKER_03]: I think this is a defensive back and pretty much almost any way it shakes out unless they take what like I think they take Caleb down's at 11.
- 1:11:26[SPEAKER_03]: They're not taking a safety at 43 although if you're lucky enough or a kill gore or a whole sea is there.
- 1:11:37[SPEAKER_03]: I'd be tempted, right?
- 1:11:38[SPEAKER_03]: But this is where a cornerback is, he must go here at 43.
- 1:11:45[SPEAKER_03]: Because we've said this on the pod before.
- 1:11:48[SPEAKER_03]: There's certain positions.
- 1:11:49[SPEAKER_03]: If you want one, you got to pay for one, right?
- 1:11:53[SPEAKER_03]: Like, if you want a luxury car, you can't, you know, nothing to say, you know, bad about the fine folks at General Motors.
- 1:12:03[SPEAKER_03]: But if you want a luxury car, you're probably going to go to Cadillac.
- 1:12:06[SPEAKER_03]: You're probably going to go, you know, to Lexus Mercedes, right?
- 1:12:12[SPEAKER_03]: Yep.
- 1:12:13[SPEAKER_03]: And what do you do when you've got to go to those places?
- 1:12:16[SPEAKER_03]: You're going to have to pay.
- 1:12:20[SPEAKER_03]: And you're going to pay up.
- 1:12:23[SPEAKER_03]: you're going to have to pay.
- 1:12:24[SPEAKER_03]: There is no such thing as our, you know, we're smarter than everybody else.
- 1:12:29[SPEAKER_03]: We're going to use pick 94 to find a starter at Cornerback.
- 1:12:34[SPEAKER_03]: No, you usually have to pay for it at that position.
- 1:12:38[SPEAKER_03]: Now, why receiver?
- 1:12:39[SPEAKER_03]: A lot of teams tend to corner the market at why receiver later on in the draft, but Cornerback seems to be a position.
- 1:12:46[SPEAKER_03]: You better use
- 1:12:50[SPEAKER_03]: to get a starter.
- 1:12:51[SPEAKER_03]: So, I think 43, yeah, it's kind of a, I think that's locked in almost.
- 1:12:58[SPEAKER_03]: 33, that's a safety, that's the secondary help that kind of knows they need it because they have nothing there right now.
- 1:13:07[SPEAKER_03]: So, yeah, I completely agree.
- 1:13:09[SPEAKER_03]: Now, moving on to the third run,
- 1:13:18[SPEAKER_03]: You can find me a line to bet this, I'll do it.
- 1:13:22[SPEAKER_03]: Two wide receivers in the third round.
- 1:13:24[SPEAKER_03]: You agree?
- 1:13:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, especially if they haven't addressed it up until that point.
- 1:13:29[SPEAKER_01]: That's exactly what I would do.
- 1:13:30[SPEAKER_01]: I would double down on wide receivers and round three.
- 1:13:33[SPEAKER_01]: Because that's kind of a prime position where the Packers were filling out their roster with these, the second and third round receivers.
- 1:13:41[SPEAKER_01]: So you can absolutely see where John Eric Sullivan's looking at those four picks.
- 1:13:46[SPEAKER_01]: And he goes, OK, I think we can have a shot at maybe these five, six, seven, eight guys here.
- 1:13:51[SPEAKER_01]: We'll just take, you know, our two top rated guys at that position once once we get there.
- 1:13:58[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I love scallor ball.
- 1:14:00[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 1:14:01[SPEAKER_03]: I love Jeremy Bernard.
- 1:14:03[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, Jeremy Bernard.
- 1:14:05[SPEAKER_03]: There's there's so much to like you like Jalen Wattle.
- 1:14:09[SPEAKER_03]: This is essentially a doover with Jeremy Bernard.
- 1:14:13[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, I absolutely love Jeremy Bernard from Alabama.
- 1:14:17[SPEAKER_03]: I love Skylar Bell.
- 1:14:18[SPEAKER_03]: Man, you take those two guys in the third round.
- 1:14:20[SPEAKER_03]: How excited would I be coming back onto this show and talking about our draft?
- 1:14:26[SPEAKER_03]: But even then, they still have two more picks in the third round.
- 1:14:30[SPEAKER_03]: And if they haven't addressed offensive line, I guess this is where they're gonna have to, they're kind of pressing it because offensive line and corner back.
- 1:14:40[SPEAKER_03]: And to a lesser extent, safety.
- 1:14:43[SPEAKER_03]: are positions you've got to spend high assets for if you want to find a starter.
- 1:14:48[SPEAKER_03]: So any offensive lineman that that ticker your fancy here in the third round, a lot of the guys that I like are like day day three guys.
- 1:15:00[SPEAKER_03]: And you.
- 1:15:02[SPEAKER_03]: There's, and a lot of the other guys, I do, I do really, really like, I think they're in that 30 to 43 spot, so I don't know if offensive line in the third round is something that's happening.
- 1:15:13[SPEAKER_03]: A guy who really do like, I love a meal Wagner of Notre Dame offensive tackle.
- 1:15:18[SPEAKER_03]: Simon is convinced he's a day three talent.
- 1:15:22[SPEAKER_03]: Do I jump the gun?
- 1:15:23[SPEAKER_03]: Well, here's where the dolphins have the opportunity to jump the gun and be okay with it.
- 1:15:29[SPEAKER_03]: You have four third rompics.
- 1:15:30[SPEAKER_03]: So if you're gonna waste a pick, I guess this is what you do it.
- 1:15:34[SPEAKER_03]: What's your philosophy on this and what you're thinking on this as far as offensive line talent?
- 1:15:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think you're right.
- 1:15:40[SPEAKER_03]: You're ready of those third rompics.
- 1:15:41[SPEAKER_01]: If you're waiting until the third round of grab your offensive linemen, you're really rolling the dice, especially if you're looking for a starter at the position.
- 1:15:50[SPEAKER_01]: Now if you're just looking for some quality depth, you might be able to turn over a couple stones and maybe you should find yourself a diamond in the rough here.
- 1:15:58[SPEAKER_01]: But if you're hoping to pick up a starting offensive linemen,
- 1:16:02[SPEAKER_01]: in the third round, you know, unless you see something that the draft community doesn't, which you know, happens quite a bit.
- 1:16:09[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be tough to find that starter come third round.
- 1:16:12[SPEAKER_01]: I know you're not a big fan of this guy, but I kind of like Jalen Farmer out of Kentucky at at guard if you were available there.
- 1:16:20[SPEAKER_01]: Again, maybe not a day one starter, but a guy you could invest some time in and coach him up and he could be a solid backup.
- 1:16:27[SPEAKER_01]: But for my money, I think you need to address offensive line in round one, round two at the absolute latest or you might be on the outside looking in.
- 1:16:37[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I agree.
- 1:16:38[SPEAKER_03]: Now finishing up here.
- 1:16:41[SPEAKER_03]: one position we haven't talked about.
- 1:16:43[SPEAKER_03]: And it could be a sweet spot to take.
- 1:16:47[SPEAKER_03]: One of the the higher, higher touted guys, what do you think of one of those third round picks being used on a quarterback?
- 1:16:55[SPEAKER_01]: I think I would be okay with it.
- 1:16:57[SPEAKER_01]: I think I'm also maybe one of the few guys who'd be okay with them not drafting a quarterback at all.
- 1:17:03[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you went out and got Malik Willis.
- 1:17:04[SPEAKER_01]: You still have Quinn Youers, 2027 is going to be a great quarterback draft, especially in the first round.
- 1:17:11[SPEAKER_01]: I'm okay if they don't draft a quarterback, maybe they sign someone as an undrafted free agent.
- 1:17:17[SPEAKER_01]: But if you're going to go after somebody, why not go after somebody with
- 1:17:20[SPEAKER_01]: with a special talent right anybody you get in the middle rounds and later on at the quarterback position they're not going to be on question players you know players without any question marks is what I'm trying to say so why not go after a guy like Taylor Green who has a lot of question marks he does but he has a special talent as well and that talent kind of puts him in the same bucket as Malik Willis he's an exceptional freak athlete
- 1:17:49[SPEAKER_01]: And if you can get him in the building and start coaching him up right away, he could serve as a dynamic backup much like Malik Willis did in Green Bay, behind Jordan Love, who can replicate a lot of what the starter can do, a lot of what Malik Willis can do.
- 1:18:05[SPEAKER_01]: So tail and green, if he ends up finding his way onto the Miami Dolphins roster during this draft, I'd be a happy man.
- 1:18:13[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I love those, uh, the rascores.
- 1:18:15[SPEAKER_03]: Have you seen those rascores?
- 1:18:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:18:17[SPEAKER_03]: I love telling Green's rascore.
- 1:18:19[SPEAKER_03]: It's a 9.99.
- 1:18:20[SPEAKER_03]: I'm wondering, what happened to the 0.01 point?
- 1:18:23[SPEAKER_03]: Like, I want somebody to explain to me why he's not a 10.
- 1:18:26[SPEAKER_03]: Because 10 exists.
- 1:18:27[SPEAKER_03]: There is such a thing as a 10 rascore.
- 1:18:29[SPEAKER_03]: Where did he lose the 0.01?
- 1:18:31[SPEAKER_03]: Do you know?
- 1:18:32[SPEAKER_01]: I have no idea.
- 1:18:34[SPEAKER_03]: Well, this is part of your expertise.
- 1:18:36[SPEAKER_03]: Is there such a thing as a 10.00 rascore for a wrestler?
- 1:18:43[SPEAKER_01]: Mm, gosh.
- 1:18:44[SPEAKER_03]: Brombraker.
- 1:18:45[SPEAKER_01]: That's Brombraker.
- 1:18:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, maybe Brombraker.
- 1:18:48[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe Brock Lesnar when he was breaking in, you know, somebody like that.
- 1:18:51[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, Bethemi's looking pretty good himself.
- 1:18:54[SPEAKER_03]: Do we add promo skills to the Raskore for wrestlers or no?
- 1:18:59[SPEAKER_01]: That's tough.
- 1:18:59[SPEAKER_01]: That's going to drop some guys down.
- 1:19:01[SPEAKER_03]: Well, it'll drop Lesnar, it'll drop Brombraker, it'll drop, it'll drop, it'll drop Obofemi, because Obofemi's just, Obofemi's really good in that setting where he's just sitting down, right?
- 1:19:10[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but he's not that good on on a hot mic, you know, in the middle of a show.
- 1:19:15[SPEAKER_03]: But all right, so how are you going to experience the draft this weekend?
- 1:19:19[SPEAKER_03]: Because next time we talk about the next time we talk on this show, we're going to have 11 new dolphins and we'll get into it.
- 1:19:24[SPEAKER_03]: I'm sure, but how are you going to experience the draft?
- 1:19:27[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to be at my house Thursday Friday watching this thing Saturday.
- 1:19:31[SPEAKER_01]: I have a huge wrestling event here for the promotion that I run.
- 1:19:36[SPEAKER_01]: We're actually bringing in Calista, former WWE United States Champion Tag Team Champion Calista.
- 1:19:42[SPEAKER_01]: He's coming in for that one.
- 1:19:43[SPEAKER_01]: I've known him for a super long time.
- 1:19:45[SPEAKER_01]: So I'll be pretty busy on Saturday.
- 1:19:48[SPEAKER_01]: I think I'll probably just be popping into only fins and See in the results as you guys post them and then and then catching your guys is commentary on Hopefully some guys I know a little bit about but it always felt like when Chris Greer was drafting once we got to the fifth round and beyond I was like who the fuck is this guy like I've never heard of him a single day in my life, but maybe with Sullivan at the helm I'll be like wait at least I know that guy
- 1:20:12[SPEAKER_03]: So no party setting?
- 1:20:13[SPEAKER_03]: No.
- 1:20:15[SPEAKER_03]: No, you know, cold cut platter.
- 1:20:18[SPEAKER_03]: No beers on ice.
- 1:20:21[SPEAKER_03]: No work in.
- 1:20:22[SPEAKER_03]: No working in mixer.
- 1:20:24[SPEAKER_01]: I may partake it a few libations myself on Thursday and Friday, but I'll have my my children with me so it can't be too crazy of a party.
- 1:20:32[SPEAKER_03]: All right.
- 1:20:33[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I'm the opposite.
- 1:20:35[SPEAKER_03]: Like I have a whole catered thing going on.
- 1:20:38[SPEAKER_01]: You drink a couple for me, okay?
- 1:20:40[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:20:40[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and I'll be smoking cigars.
- 1:20:42[SPEAKER_03]: It's going to be.
- 1:20:42[SPEAKER_03]: It's going to be fabulous.
- 1:20:43[SPEAKER_03]: I love the draft.
- 1:20:44[SPEAKER_03]: I absolutely.
- 1:20:45[SPEAKER_03]: I absolutely love the draft.
- 1:20:46[SPEAKER_03]: I run out of steam on day three.
- 1:20:48[SPEAKER_03]: I must admit.
- 1:20:50[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 1:20:50[SPEAKER_03]: On day three, I do run out of steam.
- 1:20:53[SPEAKER_01]: Where was I?
- 1:20:54[SPEAKER_01]: I remember golfing one year during day three and the dolphins traded up for for someone.
- 1:21:02[SPEAKER_01]: We didn't know who yet.
- 1:21:04[SPEAKER_01]: And I was convinced.
- 1:21:05[SPEAKER_01]: I can't remember the quarterback's name.
- 1:21:07[SPEAKER_01]: He ended up going to the New England Patriot Slater on Ryan Mallet.
- 1:21:13[SPEAKER_01]: Ryan Mallon I was convinced they were trading up for Ryan Mallon and I you know being a naive young man as I was back then I was convinced Ryan Mallon was going to be something in the NFL and they ended up was at them taking Daniel Thomas instead of Ryan Mallon I believe so yes.
- 1:21:31[SPEAKER_01]: and he is the one who famously inspired the name of of the podcast, right?
- 1:21:36[SPEAKER_01]: Three are very, what did you know, Thomas from Kansas State?
- 1:21:39[SPEAKER_01]: And I remember, I remember like just throwing my driver down on the on the T-box and be like, what the hell are we doing?
- 1:21:46[SPEAKER_01]: We could have had mallet here.
- 1:21:49[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and I remember how that happened at the time we did not have a podcast.
- 1:21:52[SPEAKER_03]: We named it right after Daniel Thomas was drafted a belief two years before.
- 1:21:58[SPEAKER_03]: But we were on a message board and almost simultaneously when they did the trade and they got Daniel Thomas almost simultaneously Chris Simon and I posted on the message board.
- 1:22:13[SPEAKER_03]: No, this is a terrible traffic.
- 1:22:16[SPEAKER_03]: We were not into this guy at all.
- 1:22:18[SPEAKER_03]: This is not a guy we wanted and Sure enough like he ended up becoming Mr. Three yards per carry himself now.
- 1:22:26[SPEAKER_03]: He does have a very very famous one time I guess you could call a hero performance a performance that will be remembered forever by dolphin fence Do you remember which which when it was and obviously if you don't remember it then I guess that wasn't that memorable to begin with
- 1:22:43[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think I've blacked out those Daniel Thomas years so you don't remember it.
- 1:22:48[SPEAKER_01]: Do you jog my memory here?
- 1:22:52[SPEAKER_03]: In the snow against Pittsburgh.
- 1:22:55[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 1:22:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:22:57[SPEAKER_03]: Dolphins beat the Steelers.
- 1:22:59[SPEAKER_03]: It's memorable for many, many reasons.
- 1:23:00[SPEAKER_03]: First of all, it's memorable because it kept their playoff hopes alive.
- 1:23:04[SPEAKER_03]: At that time, it looked like Joe Filbin's team was headed to the playoffs.
- 1:23:10[SPEAKER_03]: They had one I believe three in a row.
- 1:23:12[SPEAKER_03]: They beat the Steelers The Steelers were at full strength in Pittsburgh in a snow storm Which makes it even that more special and Daniel Thomas had like 130 yards rushing and I believe it's is only 100 got a rushing game in his career Here I was a dolphin.
- 1:23:31[SPEAKER_03]: So that's his one hero moment and what he'll always be remembered for
- 1:23:35[SPEAKER_03]: So we'll always have that moment, but yeah, that's what the original podcast was named for.
- 1:23:43[SPEAKER_03]: So anyway, I think we can leave it there.
- 1:23:47[SPEAKER_03]: I hope you guys enjoy the draft.
- 1:23:50[SPEAKER_03]: I hope you guys enjoyed our WrestleMania recap.
- 1:23:53[SPEAKER_03]: I thought we did a hell of a job.
- 1:23:54[SPEAKER_03]: We gave you almost an hour of WrestleMania recap.
- 1:23:57[SPEAKER_03]: We covered WrestleMania really, really well.
- 1:23:58[SPEAKER_03]: We would give you a tip.
- 1:24:00[SPEAKER_03]: I give you a tip to start the show on how you could save yourself thousands of dollars on wrestling tickets.
- 1:24:06[SPEAKER_03]: So maybe that's something you take advantage of.
- 1:24:08[SPEAKER_03]: The next time we talk to you,
