- 0:00Speaker 1: Scrubbing In with and Tanya rap An iHeartRadio podcast.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Hello, everybody, we are scrubbing in.
- 0:12Speaker 1: Scrub dub dumb.
- 0:14Speaker 2: I'm not in a very good mood today. Wow, Like
- 0:23Speaker 2: I the period feels near.
- 0:26Speaker 1: You still have gotten it?
- 0:28Speaker 2: No, I'm always like, I'm not like right on the dot.
- 0:30Speaker 2: We can't start every conversation about my period. But yeah,
- 0:35Speaker 2: that's that's a little bit about me.
- 0:36Speaker 1: So you're in a bad mood, a good mood.
- 0:41Speaker 3: I'm not in a bad mood. I'm just kinda like, e.
- 0:44Speaker 1: Well, I'm coming too.
- 0:46Speaker 3: That's not good. You can't be when I'm and I
- 0:49Speaker 3: already claimed.
- 0:49Speaker 1: Eh, well, I amn't been a because I've been.
- 0:54Speaker 4: Weeks.
- 0:54Speaker 1: I know, no one week. It's been one week. It
- 0:57Speaker 1: is weird.
- 0:58Speaker 3: It's felt like a long time.
- 0:59Speaker 1: It's like a long time for me too. But let
- 1:02Speaker 1: me tell you Internally, I'm yeah, okay. Externally I'm that's fine.
- 1:09Speaker 3: Yeah, I need the internal too.
- 1:11Speaker 1: Well, let me tell you something. I if you're feeling black, eh, eh,
- 1:17Speaker 1: you made my birthday so special?
- 1:20Speaker 3: Really?
- 1:21Speaker 1: Yes?
- 1:22Speaker 4: Wow?
- 1:23Speaker 1: Like you made my birthday wow? Yeah? How it was
- 1:28Speaker 1: just you? It was all you?
- 1:30Speaker 2: Yeah, there really wasn't in competition actually everyone else is
- 1:34Speaker 2: out of town.
- 1:37Speaker 1: No, but like, honestly, I really like and it was
- 1:40Speaker 1: so sweet. At the end of the day when we
- 1:42Speaker 1: got home and we're like getting ready for bed, Robbie
- 1:44Speaker 1: like looks at me and he was just like that
- 1:46Speaker 1: guys a really good friend. And I like started crying
- 1:49Speaker 1: because I was reading your card and I was like,
- 1:53Speaker 1: she really is, Like it was just like the perfect day.
- 1:56Speaker 1: It was like exactly what I wanted to do. She
- 1:58Speaker 1: took me to the spa, we got a massage, we
- 2:02Speaker 1: spent quality time. We sat by the pool, we had lunch, and.
- 2:08Speaker 5: We were just like gal pals and dinner and dinner
- 2:11Speaker 5: all at one place, all at one place. We stayed
- 2:13Speaker 5: in one spot, and I don't know, just you just
- 2:17Speaker 5: really made my birthday.
- 2:19Speaker 1: You made my birthday.
- 2:21Speaker 3: Wow, I'm so happy to hear that.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Yeah, because I sometimes feel like you're definitely a type
- 2:26Speaker 2: of person who loves. I feel like a group of people,
- 2:30Speaker 2: you know, like you love like friends and celebrating and stuff. Yeah,
- 2:34Speaker 2: and it was just timing. A lot of your friends
- 2:36Speaker 2: were out of town or you know, it was just
- 2:38Speaker 2: a weekend where people weren't available. So I was like,
- 2:41Speaker 2: I hope that I was. I was like, I hope
- 2:44Speaker 2: this felt like enough for her.
- 2:46Speaker 1: It was more than enough. It was so nice.
- 2:48Speaker 3: It was really fun. I had a great day as well.
- 2:50Speaker 1: Felt like quality time, which I loved.
- 2:52Speaker 3: It was quality time.
- 2:53Speaker 2: Yeah, I had what I would say, also one of
- 2:56Speaker 2: the best massages I've had. You know how sometimes you
- 2:59Speaker 2: go to like if you you go with someone and
- 3:01Speaker 2: you both get a massage, one person always comes out
- 3:03Speaker 2: and they're like, that was the best massage I've ever had,
- 3:05Speaker 2: And then the other person comes out and they're like
- 3:07Speaker 2: that was terrible, Like I couldn't wait for it to
- 3:09Speaker 2: be over.
- 3:09Speaker 3: I feel like that's how it always goes.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:12Speaker 2: And the girl that did mine was actually the girl
- 3:15Speaker 2: that when Tanya got engaged and she was getting a
- 3:18Speaker 2: massage at that spa, she handed her.
- 3:20Speaker 3: The note wow. So yeah, so she was my massage therapist.
- 3:25Speaker 1: Yeah. She was the first person I like cried to
- 3:27Speaker 1: and was like.
- 3:27Speaker 6: I'm getting engaged.
- 3:30Speaker 3: Yeah, she had me right back.
- 3:32Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 3:33Speaker 2: So I was like, you're you're a star for uh,
- 3:35Speaker 2: like you're literally a story of the story.
- 3:37Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:38Speaker 2: So I had a really good massage and then I
- 3:40Speaker 2: got out and I was like, please let Tanya have
- 3:42Speaker 2: had a massage and she also had one, and then
- 3:45Speaker 2: we had lunch.
- 3:46Speaker 3: I had the best beats I've ever had in her
- 3:48Speaker 3: life at the moment, it was definitely the best beats
- 3:51Speaker 3: I've ever had in my life. Did this last week
- 3:56Speaker 3: for Marky?
- 3:57Speaker 2: Yeah, super setta however you say it.
- 4:02Speaker 3: And so it was like the hot honey with.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Like the salami, the spicy salami, but it was just
- 4:09Speaker 2: cooked to perfection, was like so hot when it came out.
- 4:12Speaker 3: We were by the pool. It was just like there
- 4:15Speaker 3: was nothing that.
- 4:16Speaker 1: There were no notes, no notes, she had no notes.
- 4:20Speaker 3: It was incredible. What was the place called Dante Dante?
- 4:23Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, shout out, shout out, and I gotta let
- 4:28Speaker 1: us wrapped cheeseburger. Yeah, it was actually really good.
- 4:32Speaker 3: Doesn't have the same Yeah it does.
- 4:34Speaker 1: Oh my gosh. When you're on your period.
- 4:36Speaker 3: It's like I put super food and the super food
- 4:43Speaker 3: did that make No?
- 4:45Speaker 1: I don't get the joke.
- 4:47Speaker 3: It's not. The joke was that you didn't understand grammar.
- 4:51Speaker 1: That there's superfoods and there are superfoods, right, that's it.
- 4:57Speaker 1: You all made it like this big funny joke, and
- 5:00Speaker 1: I was like, there's no funniness to this the funny joke.
- 5:04Speaker 2: The funniest part about it was that you didn't get
- 5:07Speaker 2: what we were saying.
- 5:08Speaker 1: I still don't think I get it.
- 5:10Speaker 3: You get it.
- 5:10Speaker 2: You just described it, so you do get it, okay, okay,
- 5:13Speaker 2: But there wasn't like an inside joke. It was just
- 5:17Speaker 2: intelligent people, three intelligent people.
- 5:20Speaker 6: Wow wow second.
- 5:25Speaker 1: Yeah, but you know what, I actually didn't do it
- 5:27Speaker 1: over you know what I did it and do on
- 5:28Speaker 1: my birthday that I do every year on my birthday,
- 5:31Speaker 1: I always light the things on fire that I was
- 5:34Speaker 1: and because I just wasn't feeling well, like I wasn't
- 5:37Speaker 1: feeling my total self and I'm still not fully back
- 5:40Speaker 1: and I want to be really present, so I've just
- 5:43Speaker 1: like tabled that. But I'm still going to do it.
- 5:44Speaker 4: Okay.
- 5:45Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that intentions don't have to be on
- 5:49Speaker 2: a certain day.
- 5:50Speaker 1: Yeah, thank you so much. You know, I use my
- 5:52Speaker 1: birthday as like the marker because I want to do
- 5:54Speaker 1: it every year. But it's like, I'm not going to
- 5:56Speaker 1: forget to do it.
- 5:56Speaker 6: I think you will forget to do it. I'm not
- 5:58Speaker 6: going to I predict you won't do it.
- 6:00Speaker 3: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
- 6:01Speaker 6: You're still not fully back.
- 6:03Speaker 1: I know, but just just bite you. I'm going to
- 6:06Speaker 1: do it today.
- 6:07Speaker 2: I was actually looking through all of our birthdays, your
- 6:11Speaker 2: birthdays that we've celebrated together, and there was one in
- 6:15Speaker 2: like twenty eighteen or something where we were at the
- 6:18Speaker 2: Maybourne Spa, but it was the montage.
- 6:21Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Yeah, I.
- 6:23Speaker 1: Always I go back on because I go into my
- 6:25Speaker 1: memories and I can see, like, uh, there was a
- 6:28Speaker 1: birthday where we went to the beach.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Now up on fire yeah yea, yeah yeah yeah yeah,
- 6:32Speaker 2: yeah that was illegal.
- 6:34Speaker 3: We were lighting snuff on fire on the beach, which felt.
- 6:36Speaker 1: That's what they do, they like have bmpfires on the
- 6:38Speaker 1: beach and stuff.
- 6:39Speaker 2: Yeah, we weren't in one of those areas anyhow, but
- 6:43Speaker 2: we set the intentions that night. Yeah, and then I
- 6:46Speaker 2: got home. We got home at the end of the night.
- 6:48Speaker 1: And Robbie was like, Beca's a really great friend, I know.
- 6:50Speaker 1: And then she posts this reel that she made sends
- 6:54Speaker 1: me down another crying spiral. So you really turned it out.
- 6:59Speaker 1: I just to say wow, thank you.
- 7:02Speaker 2: All day. She was like, I'm just waiting for my reel.
- 7:04Speaker 2: I'm like, I like you, I'm literally wait you.
- 7:08Speaker 3: I'm trying to be present with you for your birthday.
- 7:11Speaker 1: I was, actually, you know what's so.
- 7:12Speaker 6: Crazy, it's not special if you asked it for the
- 7:14Speaker 6: reel all day and then you gave you.
- 7:15Speaker 1: A I knew it was coming. I was just waiting
- 7:18Speaker 1: for it. But the thing that was really interesting about
- 7:20Speaker 1: that day is like, I know that we're always like
- 7:22Speaker 1: on our phone, in our phones, posting and stuff like that,
- 7:26Speaker 1: and I on my birthday, like you get a bunch
- 7:27Speaker 1: of text messages, so you're responding to people and stuff
- 7:29Speaker 1: like that. I was so present that day, Like I
- 7:32Speaker 1: was super super present the whole day.
- 7:36Speaker 2: Yeah, I know, me too. And so that's when you
- 7:39Speaker 2: were asking about your reel. I was like, I'm torn here.
- 7:42Speaker 1: I haven't been that president at I haven't been that
- 7:44Speaker 1: present in a long time, which is like weird.
- 7:47Speaker 2: It's nice, huh, Yeah, it was nice. I went to
- 7:50Speaker 2: the beach on Saturday and I was there. It was
- 7:54Speaker 2: my friends Caroline and Arden had introduced me to them
- 7:57Speaker 2: and they just got engaged and so they had like
- 8:00Speaker 2: a big engagement party on the beach and I was
- 8:03Speaker 2: present all day. I literally didn't have my phone, it
- 8:05Speaker 2: was in my bag, and Robbie and Tanya had texted
- 8:08Speaker 2: me asking for recommendations for my Orca and I hadn't
- 8:11Speaker 2: responded because I mean that was like something that I
- 8:14Speaker 2: would take time and like respond to. It wasn't just
- 8:16Speaker 2: like a yes or no question. And I was driving
- 8:19Speaker 2: when I when they first texted me, and so I
- 8:22Speaker 2: put my phone down and just like was present all day.
- 8:25Speaker 2: And then Tanya is like, hello, is this thing on?
- 8:29Speaker 1: We texted her at like nine am and I hadn't
- 8:31Speaker 1: hear back three or four pm.
- 8:33Speaker 6: So I was like, hello, We're good for becr.
- 8:38Speaker 2: That's when you like look at the gift of find
- 8:41Speaker 2: my friends that I have given you, and you.
- 8:44Speaker 3: Go, oh, she's at the beach. She's probably being present.
- 8:47Speaker 1: You know, it's weird. I didn't even look at your
- 8:48Speaker 1: look at this weekend.
- 8:50Speaker 3: I don't use it for good. You don't use it
- 8:53Speaker 3: for good, just for me.
- 8:54Speaker 2: The Yeah, So yeah, it was.
- 8:58Speaker 3: So nice being present both those days.
- 9:01Speaker 1: Wow. Yeah I didn't have that after Thursday. Yeah, yeah,
- 9:03Speaker 1: I was just back on.
- 9:06Speaker 2: I hate like sometimes I just want to like toss
- 9:08Speaker 2: my phone and get a jitterbug.
- 9:11Speaker 1: It's a jitterbug.
- 9:12Speaker 3: It's funny. You should ask.
- 9:13Speaker 2: It's a flip phone with large numbers. It's for elderly
- 9:18Speaker 2: and it just basically is for like calling and it
- 9:21Speaker 2: has big numbers.
- 9:23Speaker 1: Because okay, so what is it You don't like to
- 9:26Speaker 1: engage with people or you want to do it on
- 9:28Speaker 1: your own.
- 9:28Speaker 2: Time being engaged with people, Like if I get to
- 9:30Speaker 2: meet people in person, like my dream would be to
- 9:33Speaker 2: do a scrubbing and meetup where like we go to
- 9:36Speaker 2: the beach and I can, like in person engage with people,
- 9:39Speaker 2: Like I love that, But.
- 9:40Speaker 1: You don't like when people text you when you don't
- 9:42Speaker 1: want it.
- 9:43Speaker 3: I hate that. I literally hate that that we are.
- 9:47Speaker 2: At everyone's bacon call back in call with our phones,
- 9:51Speaker 2: like it bugs me a lot. So I love one
- 9:54Speaker 2: on one time, but I don't like that that you
- 9:58Speaker 2: feel like you have access to me anytime that you want.
- 10:01Speaker 3: To have access to me.
- 10:02Speaker 1: It feels personal.
- 10:03Speaker 2: No no, no, I'm saying in like general, yeah, I
- 10:07Speaker 2: guess generally and you specifically, But like that people have
- 10:11Speaker 2: feel like they have access to us at all time
- 10:13Speaker 2: because it wasn't like that before smartphones.
- 10:16Speaker 7: The thing I think about a lot is I saw
- 10:17Speaker 7: a picture of an old like computer desk and they
- 10:19Speaker 7: were like the person who read it was like you
- 10:21Speaker 7: used to sign off. You would walk away from this
- 10:23Speaker 7: and the internet stayed there, and now then it's with
- 10:25Speaker 7: you all that. Like it would feel so necessary to
- 10:27Speaker 7: be like texting someone like all right bye, like that.
- 10:30Speaker 8: It feels weird to do in a text right right by?
- 10:33Speaker 7: Yeah, you just keep talking forever, always run on sentences.
- 10:38Speaker 8: Yeah, forever.
- 10:40Speaker 1: So I'm gonna try this.
- 10:41Speaker 3: What are you trying the jitterbug?
- 10:44Speaker 1: I'm going to be off next week and I'm going
- 10:47Speaker 1: to try to be off. Yeah, Let's see how long
- 10:51Speaker 1: I can.
- 10:53Speaker 2: What does this mean, like not texting people, or not
- 10:55Speaker 2: being on social media, all of it. I think I
- 10:59Speaker 2: think you will feel so good doing it.
- 11:03Speaker 1: Let's see.
- 11:04Speaker 2: When I went on The Bachelor, they took our phones
- 11:07Speaker 2: and I thought I was gonna hate it.
- 11:09Speaker 3: I loved it.
- 11:10Speaker 2: I loved that I only was focused on what was
- 11:13Speaker 2: happening right in front of me.
- 11:16Speaker 1: Well, let's see, let's see how it goes.
- 11:19Speaker 3: All right, stay tuned for the date.
- 11:22Speaker 1: I lasted one day on my birthday. It was great.
- 11:25Speaker 1: It was a great day and I just I wanted
- 11:27Speaker 1: again say thank you. And I had the best day
- 11:29Speaker 1: and I love you and you made it so special.
- 11:31Speaker 2: I'm so happy to hear that, and I had such
- 11:33Speaker 2: a great day with you, and it was so fun
- 11:35Speaker 2: to spend a full, full day with you. I would
- 11:38Speaker 2: have slumber partied if Robbie hadn't been there, and I
- 11:41Speaker 2: could have.
- 11:44Speaker 3: Where would I have slept?
- 11:46Speaker 1: That's true. We could have put Robbie on the couch
- 11:49Speaker 1: and then we slept in the bed.
- 11:50Speaker 2: Okay, okay, okay, Well next time, yeah, next time. We
- 11:53Speaker 2: filmed a video last week of us doing the Charlie
- 11:57Speaker 2: XCX Apple brat Summer Dance, and I would say as
- 12:02Speaker 2: a collective unit, we all crushed it. But there was
- 12:04Speaker 2: one person in the absolute star of the show. According
- 12:11Speaker 2: to the comments.
- 12:12Speaker 6: I got a lot of comments it was I was
- 12:14Speaker 6: shocked by.
- 12:14Speaker 2: This, your daughter finally commented, because oh she did.
- 12:19Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 12:21Speaker 2: We have been try asking Mark, like, what do your
- 12:24Speaker 2: daughters think of this? When we post videos, and Mark
- 12:27Speaker 2: people are always like Mark, Mark, Mark, and You've always
- 12:29Speaker 2: said like they could care less.
- 12:31Speaker 6: They could care less. But this one, for some reason,
- 12:33Speaker 6: because we was in a handful of these, this one
- 12:36Speaker 6: reached my family. My wife and kids both found this
- 12:40Speaker 6: without me having anything to do with it. Jach was
- 12:43Speaker 6: sent to them by their friend Viral I don't know,
- 12:45Speaker 6: there was no viral. I don't know, but my wife
- 12:48Speaker 6: had sent to her by one of her friends, and
- 12:50Speaker 6: my kids saw it and that's when she, Yeah, she
- 12:53Speaker 6: decided I'm going to get in on this because so many,
- 12:55Speaker 6: so many people were saying, what do his daughters think
- 12:57Speaker 6: on this?
- 12:57Speaker 1: Please? So what does she say?
- 13:00Speaker 3: My dad is iconic?
- 13:04Speaker 2: So yeah, it had six hundred and sixty five thousand
- 13:06Speaker 2: views on Instagram.
- 13:08Speaker 1: Is that viral?
- 13:09Speaker 6: I think that's viral.
- 13:10Speaker 3: It's not. It's not super viral, but that's a lot
- 13:13Speaker 3: of Yeah.
- 13:15Speaker 2: But then on and on TikTok it has one hundred
- 13:18Speaker 2: and eighteen thousand, but it Yeah, it definitely had a
- 13:21Speaker 2: good moment and it was hilarious. So I feel like
- 13:24Speaker 2: we should maybe start doing more choreography team.
- 13:29Speaker 1: You know, if I'm gonna be honest, it wasn't as
- 13:32Speaker 1: hard as I thought it was gonna be.
- 13:34Speaker 2: Most things that you are scared to do aren't as
- 13:39Speaker 2: hard as you think.
- 13:39Speaker 3: They're gonna be.
- 13:40Speaker 1: Let's dip into that. Beacka.
- 13:42Speaker 2: I think we set ourselves up with fear of thinking
- 13:46Speaker 2: I'm not a dancer, So how am I supposed to
- 13:48Speaker 2: learn to dance this fast? Before going let's see if
- 13:52Speaker 2: I can do it.
- 13:53Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 13:53Speaker 1: So maybe what you're saying is I should write down
- 13:55Speaker 1: on the piece of paper that I'm gonna get rid
- 13:57Speaker 1: of doubt with a mass of paper my to burn. Right,
- 14:02Speaker 1: that's a good one. I'm gonna make it.
- 14:04Speaker 3: And like fear of trying new things.
- 14:08Speaker 1: I don't have fear of trying new things. I try
- 14:09Speaker 1: new things all the time. I'm tving my mouth shut.
- 14:11Speaker 2: Dread, dread of trying new things that aren't your things.
- 14:16Speaker 1: Nah huh.
- 14:16Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 14:17Speaker 2: Yeah, if it's what you want to do, you have
- 14:19Speaker 2: no issue trying to start sleeping with a chance. If
- 14:21Speaker 2: there's any other suggestion from people, then you're pretty pooh
- 14:27Speaker 2: poo it.
- 14:27Speaker 1: Yeah, that's true right off the bat.
- 14:29Speaker 6: Facts.
- 14:30Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:31Speaker 2: Also, I wanted to talk to you about what modern
- 14:33Speaker 2: woman is, what a modern woman is, because I've been
- 14:36Speaker 2: thinking about this thinking and I wanted to ask what
- 14:41Speaker 2: the actual definition is.
- 14:44Speaker 1: I'm glad you asked.
- 14:45Speaker 2: Yeah, but first we're going to take a break.
- 14:50Speaker 4: Sorry, all right, we're back.
- 15:09Speaker 2: So your brand is modern Woman's modern woman energy.
- 15:14Speaker 3: You are a modern woman. Yeah, everyone should be a
- 15:17Speaker 3: modern woman, louder for.
- 15:19Speaker 1: The people on the back.
- 15:20Speaker 2: But if people were like, what is the definition of
- 15:23Speaker 2: modern woman? What?
- 15:24Speaker 3: What do you tell them?
- 15:25Speaker 1: I'm so glad you asked yeah, because the truth is,
- 15:29Speaker 1: you don't define a modern woman. You just are one.
- 15:33Speaker 3: So there's no definition.
- 15:35Speaker 1: There's no because it's a woman that is following the
- 15:38Speaker 1: desires of her own heart. So that's going to look
- 15:40Speaker 1: different from me to you, to Mark to Easton, it's
- 15:44Speaker 1: gonna look different.
- 15:45Speaker 3: So there's no boundaries for the monetary, no parameters, and
- 15:51Speaker 3: no parameters.
- 15:53Speaker 1: You fly, you march the beat of your own drum.
- 15:55Speaker 1: You listen to the desires of your own heart. You
- 15:56Speaker 1: go after what you want. If you want to be
- 15:58Speaker 1: a stay at home mom, you be the best stay
- 16:00Speaker 1: at home mom of your life. If you want to
- 16:01Speaker 1: be a CEO of that job, you be a CEO
- 16:04Speaker 1: of that. If you want to start your company, you
- 16:05Speaker 1: start your company.
- 16:06Speaker 2: What makes that different than being a woman, Like, what's
- 16:09Speaker 2: the fiction.
- 16:11Speaker 1: The full conviction, the doing it unapologetically, not having to
- 16:14Speaker 1: ask for permission, not being ashamed or embarrassed.
- 16:17Speaker 2: But what if it's something that's like not what if
- 16:23Speaker 2: it's something that's problematic for another woman? Like what I mean,
- 16:29Speaker 2: he's following your heart?
- 16:32Speaker 1: Oh, like I want to marry.
- 16:34Speaker 2: Uh.
- 16:35Speaker 1: I was gonna say, Tom Cruise, he's not married, who's
- 16:37Speaker 1: married John Legend? But he's already married, So i'd have
- 16:39Speaker 1: to break up a marriage, right right, that's not modern woman.
- 16:43Speaker 3: So there are parameters.
- 16:45Speaker 1: Well, just a moral compass, if you will.
- 16:48Speaker 2: Oh, okay, a moral compass, yeah, okay. So it's just
- 16:51Speaker 2: basically being a strong, independent woman.
- 16:53Speaker 1: Yeah, just and unapologetic is a big word right there. Unapologetic, unashamed, passionate, loyal,
- 17:02Speaker 1: fears strong, yeah, north star.
- 17:06Speaker 6: But Becca makes a good point, like what if you're
- 17:08Speaker 6: going for that job and I want that job, I'm
- 17:10Speaker 6: gonna get that job. But a woman already has that job,
- 17:12Speaker 6: you're gonna you're gonna get her, get her.
- 17:14Speaker 1: Fired, Maybe she'll move on to a better job, maybe
- 17:16Speaker 1: she'll start her own company.
- 17:18Speaker 7: I like the compass thing because the modern women and
- 17:20Speaker 7: that's it tells you where to go.
- 17:22Speaker 8: Exactly, there's no limit, that's right.
- 17:24Speaker 1: The modern woman energy is that compass, that that north
- 17:27Speaker 1: star that points you where you should go. Why do
- 17:30Speaker 1: you bring this up?
- 17:31Speaker 2: I was just asking because someone I've seen I've meant
- 17:34Speaker 2: to bring it up, like it was actually weeks ago
- 17:36Speaker 2: when there was something I posted with another friend of mine,
- 17:41Speaker 2: or I went maybe when I went to dinner with
- 17:43Speaker 2: Keana or Hungo Valley, and you.
- 17:45Speaker 1: Got a lot of time with Ka lately, a lot
- 17:49Speaker 1: of time with her friend Keana lately.
- 17:53Speaker 3: Thank Keana is terrified of you. She should should be.
- 18:00Speaker 2: So I think it was someone said, how was this
- 18:03Speaker 2: modern woman energy?
- 18:04Speaker 3: Like they responded to you or something.
- 18:06Speaker 1: Well, I like to claim my friends and I like
- 18:09Speaker 1: to do it passionately and aggressively, and that's modern north Star.
- 18:14Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 18:15Speaker 2: Okay, I still don't have full clarity, but as long
- 18:18Speaker 2: as you do, I think.
- 18:19Speaker 3: That's what matters.
- 18:20Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, Love Island finale.
- 18:24Speaker 1: Did you watch?
- 18:24Speaker 3: No?
- 18:25Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, how can I do this podcast?
- 18:28Speaker 3: But I know enough. I've seen enough that we can discuss.
- 18:31Speaker 1: You don't care about a spoiler alert?
- 18:33Speaker 3: I know everything.
- 18:34Speaker 1: Okay, that's fine. It was a boring episode the finale. Yeah,
- 18:38Speaker 1: it's always boring.
- 18:40Speaker 6: The thing that's the thing, always boring.
- 18:44Speaker 1: So there's like, it's fun in the beginning, in my opinion,
- 18:47Speaker 1: it's fun in the beginning when they're like getting to
- 18:48Speaker 1: know each other, blah blah blah. When some bombshells come in.
- 18:50Speaker 1: Then there's like then cosa more is like very dramatic entertaining,
- 18:54Speaker 1: and then once they'll settle into their couples, it's like, okay,
- 18:57Speaker 1: let's wrap it up.
- 18:59Speaker 2: Yeah, so once the once they find love, yeah, it's like, man,
- 19:02Speaker 2: but that's.
- 19:03Speaker 3: What you watch it for us, for love.
- 19:04Speaker 1: Correct. But once I settle into the love, I don't
- 19:07Speaker 1: need to see I don't you know, to.
- 19:09Speaker 3: See it unfold.
- 19:09Speaker 1: Take that to a reality show, you know what I mean?
- 19:12Speaker 1: Another another reality show where I can follow your love,
- 19:15Speaker 1: your life.
- 19:16Speaker 3: So were you happy with the winners?
- 19:19Speaker 2: Uh?
- 19:19Speaker 3: Wait, do you vote?
- 19:21Speaker 2: No?
- 19:21Speaker 1: Because I've never I've never watched in real time? Does
- 19:24Speaker 1: that make sense?
- 19:25Speaker 3: I thought you watched this whole season a real time.
- 19:27Speaker 1: This is the first season I've ever watched in real time.
- 19:30Speaker 2: The whole thing, k was that you were upset because
- 19:32Speaker 2: they were so far ahead and you couldn't vote, or
- 19:34Speaker 2: you're watching old season.
- 19:35Speaker 6: I know.
- 19:35Speaker 1: And then I got here and I'm just like not
- 19:37Speaker 1: used to voting.
- 19:39Speaker 3: It's just too much. It was too much, too much, okay, Okay,
- 19:42Speaker 3: So to the modern woman.
- 19:44Speaker 2: The modern woman votes when she wants to vot, or
- 19:47Speaker 2: doesn't vote when she doesn't want to.
- 19:48Speaker 1: Know and To be honest, I wasn't like rooting for
- 19:50Speaker 1: any of them, Like, there wasn't one couple that I
- 19:53Speaker 1: was like, they have to win. To be honest, who
- 19:58Speaker 1: would you did it?
- 19:59Speaker 3: Did who?
- 20:00Speaker 1: Like? I wasn't compelled to vote, like I wasn't like
- 20:02Speaker 1: like when I'm watching the UK, I'm like, ah, can't
- 20:06Speaker 1: can't shance two years ago?
- 20:10Speaker 3: Okay, So the couple who won were you happy with it?
- 20:14Speaker 3: Were they who you were ready for the most? Should
- 20:18Speaker 3: we give a spoiler alert?
- 20:19Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 20:19Speaker 3: Spoiler alert?
- 20:20Speaker 1: So if you have not watched those us in finale
- 20:22Speaker 1: Love ISLANDA and.
- 20:23Speaker 2: Have someone else stayed off social media to avoid spoilers.
- 20:27Speaker 1: Skip the next thirty seconds.
- 20:29Speaker 3: Okay, So the winners were.
- 20:34Speaker 1: Cordell and Serena.
- 20:38Speaker 3: I'm actually happy.
- 20:39Speaker 1: I mean, I'm like, I liked it because in the
- 20:47Speaker 1: very first episode they coupled up together and they were
- 20:50Speaker 1: wearing the exact same color. So to me, it just
- 20:52Speaker 1: felt very meant to be.
- 20:54Speaker 3: Yeah, do you think the invisible.
- 20:56Speaker 1: String, you know, like there was an invisible string tying
- 20:58Speaker 1: them together the whole way.
- 21:00Speaker 6: Seconds by the way, okay.
- 21:02Speaker 2: So you you were good with them, and then do
- 21:07Speaker 2: you think any of these couples lost outside of this show.
- 21:11Speaker 1: No, I think they might. I think they they have
- 21:14Speaker 1: the best chance out of any of them.
- 21:16Speaker 3: What's your prediction for length of time they stay together?
- 21:19Speaker 4: A year?
- 21:20Speaker 3: Oh my god? Wow?
- 21:21Speaker 6: Okay, but I like your idea of a different reality
- 21:24Speaker 6: show afterwards. You could call it Love Mainland.
- 21:27Speaker 1: Yes, Love on the Mainland Yes. But I will say
- 21:31Speaker 1: the best little treat that we got last night was
- 21:35Speaker 1: ari Aanomatics confirming that they will have a reunion, which
- 21:38Speaker 1: I'm very looking forward to.
- 21:40Speaker 3: Is that not normal?
- 21:41Speaker 1: No, I've never had reunions. Oh and I also was
- 21:46Speaker 1: watching Chicks in Office Fran and Rhea on Aftersun, which
- 21:50Speaker 1: was so cool. Do you know that they got there?
- 21:53Speaker 1: It was all like their listeners, like rallied to get
- 21:55Speaker 1: them there. That's so cool because they talked about it
- 21:57Speaker 1: so much.
- 21:57Speaker 3: That's so cool. I know it's giving scrubber energy.
- 22:00Speaker 1: It's giving scrubber energy. But I was like such a
- 22:02Speaker 1: fan watching. I've never I don't really like After Sun. Yeah,
- 22:05Speaker 1: but I was watching to support our.
- 22:06Speaker 3: Girls, love the Chicks thee.
- 22:09Speaker 1: In the Office. Yeah, but I did message. I think
- 22:13Speaker 1: I messaged Fran because I want to know in real time,
- 22:19Speaker 1: like when was this filmed? Do you know what I mean?
- 22:22Speaker 1: When did they film after Sun? Because it airs on Saturday,
- 22:24Speaker 1: So like, did they film it on Friday? Is it
- 22:26Speaker 1: like twenty four hours ahead? Because it's all happening in
- 22:29Speaker 1: real time? But how much is real time? Real time?
- 22:31Speaker 3: Is I should text them?
- 22:32Speaker 1: I did? I mean, I I DMed her, but she's
- 22:35Speaker 1: probably inundated with all these dms.
- 22:39Speaker 2: So the interesting part to me, what y'all can actually
- 22:42Speaker 2: contribute to this, even not watching Love Island, is that
- 22:45Speaker 2: they get off the show and they they haven't had
- 22:47Speaker 2: their phones. They don't know what's going on, and so
- 22:50Speaker 2: they have no idea if people like them or not.
- 22:53Speaker 2: You know, they don't know if they're going to be
- 22:54Speaker 2: liked or if they're going to be like the villain
- 22:56Speaker 2: or whatever.
- 22:57Speaker 3: They just have no idea. So one of the girls,
- 23:00Speaker 3: her name is Leah, she I don't know.
- 23:03Speaker 2: I felt like just the recent episodes people became like
- 23:05Speaker 2: obsessed with her.
- 23:06Speaker 1: Yeah, because in the beginning I did not like her.
- 23:10Speaker 2: She's just outspoken, she kind of spoke her mind, but
- 23:12Speaker 2: I didn't really I didn't know to.
- 23:14Speaker 1: Vote Andrea out. I was like, that's dirty, that is
- 23:18Speaker 1: not how you play Love Island. Yeah that's wrong.
- 23:20Speaker 2: Yeah, But anyways, she all of a sudden popped off
- 23:23Speaker 2: and she's like so popular, and she gets out and
- 23:26Speaker 2: by the time the.
- 23:27Speaker 3: Last episode aired, which I get, I guess they get.
- 23:29Speaker 2: They don't get their phone till their final episode is aired.
- 23:32Speaker 3: She has a million followers.
- 23:34Speaker 5: Wow.
- 23:34Speaker 6: Wow.
- 23:35Speaker 1: For reference, the rest of them have like one hundred
- 23:37Speaker 1: to two hundred thousand.
- 23:39Speaker 6: That's millions more people than watched our video last week. Yeah. Yeah,
- 23:42Speaker 6: it's viral.
- 23:43Speaker 2: That's viral, and and people don't really get that type
- 23:47Speaker 2: of following anymore. Like when I feel like when I
- 23:48Speaker 2: was on The Bachelor, that kind of era, you would
- 23:51Speaker 2: get that type of following coming off of a reality show,
- 23:53Speaker 2: but a lot of people now with TikTok and stuff,
- 23:55Speaker 2: they don't have that same People just don't do the
- 23:59Speaker 2: follow like that anymore.
- 24:00Speaker 1: For reference, with a Bachelorette this season, let's see, I
- 24:04Speaker 1: don't know how many.
- 24:04Speaker 3: Followers she has, but her season's airing.
- 24:09Speaker 1: Okay, then who was the last bachelorette besides her? Who
- 24:12Speaker 1: is before her?
- 24:13Speaker 3: Uh? Who was before her?
- 24:15Speaker 1: Charity lawsome charity lawson two hundred ninety four thousand.
- 24:20Speaker 4: Followers and people love charity, so just for reference.
- 24:25Speaker 3: Yeah, so it's pretty crazy.
- 24:28Speaker 2: I was thinking about that, like coming off and not
- 24:30Speaker 2: knowing if you were gonna like we had anxiety every
- 24:32Speaker 2: week watching The Bachelor, being like, you know, what are
- 24:35Speaker 2: people going to say? Well, how what's this going to
- 24:36Speaker 2: look like? How this episode come together? And I can't
- 24:41Speaker 2: imagine the whole time thinking like I saw someone's uh
- 24:44Speaker 2: this TikToker say like she's gonna get out and she's
- 24:46Speaker 2: probably like, yeah, I might have a little bit of
- 24:48Speaker 2: a platform, but you go in so blind, you know, Yeah,
- 24:52Speaker 2: how crazy that must be.
- 24:54Speaker 1: She's from La, Like, she lives just she lives just
- 24:57Speaker 1: up the freeway. So maybe we could try and get
- 24:59Speaker 1: her on the podcast. Yes, I would love to Sam.
- 25:06Speaker 2: Well, it was the most watched I think in the
- 25:09Speaker 2: whole series of Love Island. It was I want to
- 25:13Speaker 2: say it was or maybe just USA Okay, one of
- 25:17Speaker 2: the most stream shows of the summer over the last
- 25:19Speaker 2: few months.
- 25:21Speaker 1: That's what I'm talking about.
- 25:22Speaker 3: Your bestie keeps winning? Are automatics?
- 25:25Speaker 1: Are you happy that it's over?
- 25:27Speaker 6: You are with Sheila Burkhartzmeyer on Facebook and the Facebook
- 25:34Speaker 6: grouper posted my thoughts after listening this week's pod Love
- 25:38Speaker 6: Island is the New Station nineteen. You can't make me
- 25:40Speaker 6: watch Principle.
- 25:43Speaker 1: Oh my goodness. Well, I have a little bit of
- 25:47Speaker 1: like emptiness today, like I don't know what I'm going
- 25:50Speaker 1: to watch tonight. I'm like sad about it. I don't
- 25:52Speaker 1: have my sims to like check up on later.
- 25:55Speaker 6: Nice sims.
- 25:56Speaker 1: I never played a SIM, but I saw meme that
- 25:58Speaker 1: it felt very accurate.
- 26:01Speaker 2: I think the meme you're talking about was Arianna posted
- 26:04Speaker 2: like me watching like saying, oh, was it looking after
- 26:07Speaker 2: my sims or something.
- 26:09Speaker 1: I don't know what I'm gonna do. I might I
- 26:11Speaker 1: might watch old seasons.
- 26:13Speaker 3: Yeah, maybe into Nature.
- 26:21Speaker 1: Yeah yeah.
- 26:22Speaker 2: I had a full day with Phoebe yesterday speaking of nature,
- 26:25Speaker 2: because like Tanya's Birthday, I left her for all day
- 26:29Speaker 2: and then the beach day on Saturday, I left her
- 26:31Speaker 2: all day and I was having so much guilt. And
- 26:34Speaker 2: also she's not like I don't know what's going on
- 26:35Speaker 2: in your grass, she's digressing in her cough.
- 26:37Speaker 3: I don't know what to do.
- 26:38Speaker 2: I haven't slept through the night in like a week
- 26:41Speaker 2: and a half, and we're both upset with each other
- 26:44Speaker 2: during those moments. Anyways, I was like I'm gonna take
- 26:47Speaker 2: her to the beach or take her to the park.
- 26:48Speaker 3: And then we went to the beach and it was
- 26:50Speaker 3: so fun. She just like kept staring at me all day.
- 26:53Speaker 2: And I saw this thing that was like taking your
- 26:56Speaker 2: dogs everywhere will slow you down.
- 26:57Speaker 3: But like maybe that's the point emotional.
- 27:01Speaker 1: I know. I like read this thing about like just
- 27:03Speaker 1: taking a dog on a ten minute drive does something
- 27:07Speaker 1: like stimulates them beyond whatever. And I'm like, I I
- 27:12Speaker 1: want to take her everywhere, Like I want to take
- 27:14Speaker 1: her everywhere.
- 27:15Speaker 3: Maybe hates the car though, so I.
- 27:17Speaker 1: St sunny, but I think internally they love it. I
- 27:20Speaker 1: don't know. She likes to put her head out the
- 27:22Speaker 1: window and have the wind blows. She doesn't like like
- 27:28Speaker 1: she hates getting in the car, like she will stick
- 27:30Speaker 1: her paws on the ground.
- 27:31Speaker 6: Like I think you should listen to her.
- 27:33Speaker 1: No, So she has to go places like take her places.
- 27:36Speaker 1: But when she's in the car, she loves to have
- 27:38Speaker 1: her head out in the in the wind. She loves
- 27:41Speaker 1: it tails wagging her head's in the wind like free willy.
- 27:46Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 27:46Speaker 2: But aside from those few moments where her head sticking
- 27:49Speaker 2: out the window, Phoebe is like a nervous wreck, anxious wreck, anxious,
- 27:55Speaker 2: very anxious.
- 27:55Speaker 3: Yeah, but anyways, it was it was a nice day
- 27:58Speaker 3: with chicken.
- 27:59Speaker 2: So I'm taking her just to the vet today because
- 28:02Speaker 2: now i think maybe she has a parasite and that's
- 28:05Speaker 2: what's causing the cough.
- 28:06Speaker 3: I don't know what to do anymore. I'm just like
- 28:08Speaker 3: googling everything I can.
- 28:10Speaker 1: No and she can't tell you what's wrong.
- 28:12Speaker 2: No, she she'll let out the worst sounding cough you've
- 28:15Speaker 2: ever heard. It'll be like it's two am. Every single night.
- 28:18Speaker 2: It's like write at two am, and we just stare
- 28:20Speaker 2: at each other, like she does this loud, like goose
- 28:23Speaker 2: honking cough and then she like stares at me, and
- 28:25Speaker 2: I like I'm sat.
- 28:26Speaker 3: Up like staring at her. We just look at each
- 28:28Speaker 3: other and I'm like, are you okay? We just lay
- 28:32Speaker 3: back down. Yeah, it's tough.
- 28:35Speaker 1: It's tough.
- 28:38Speaker 3: You got an or a ring? Speaking of sleep, I.
- 28:41Speaker 1: Did get an ring. Yeah, nobody is Like I've been
- 28:44Speaker 1: like waiting for somebody to be like, hey, cool or
- 28:46Speaker 1: a ring, and like nobody's said it.
- 28:48Speaker 3: Kind of like it's not as like fresh and new
- 28:50Speaker 3: as it once was.
- 28:52Speaker 2: What like I think people would have expected you to
- 28:54Speaker 2: already have one.
- 28:55Speaker 6: Yeah, that was very twenty twenty three.
- 28:57Speaker 1: Well okay, so what took so long? It's new and
- 29:02Speaker 1: I'm doing it to to monitor my temperature with my ovulation.
- 29:09Speaker 3: Oh I see, that's right.
- 29:11Speaker 6: It begins my advance. What begins the process?
- 29:15Speaker 1: Yes, my hyper fixation of my ovulation if I am ovulating. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 29:22Speaker 1: early it does.
- 29:23Speaker 6: But that's okay.
- 29:25Speaker 1: Early on time is on time. However, I've been hyper
- 29:32Speaker 1: focused on my sleep pat patterns and I'm like so
- 29:37Speaker 1: hyper aware of my sleep patterns it's like crazy, and
- 29:40Speaker 1: I get so excited when I wake up and I
- 29:42Speaker 1: have like optimal sleep, and I got into like the
- 29:44Speaker 1: good rem numbers and stuff like I feel like I'm
- 29:47Speaker 1: like a student at school.
- 29:48Speaker 3: But if you do bad, do you overthink it?
- 29:50Speaker 2: Or are you just like, oh, I had a bad
- 29:51Speaker 2: night of sleep or you like what did I do different?
- 29:53Speaker 1: Well, because I've been like six so it's been hard
- 29:55Speaker 1: because I'm like I could tell I had a bad
- 29:58Speaker 1: night's sleep, you know, like I was coughing all nights,
- 30:00Speaker 1: Like that makes sense. I didn't get to ram or whatever.
- 30:02Speaker 1: But yeah, I'm like super.
- 30:06Speaker 3: Fixated on my or ring I surround myself with people
- 30:11Speaker 3: who have fixations, and I don't know how this happened
- 30:14Speaker 3: because I don't.
- 30:15Speaker 2: I don't do it really and maybe I do and
- 30:18Speaker 2: it's not I need to think about this because I'm like,
- 30:20Speaker 2: do I have fixations?
- 30:22Speaker 3: But I don't know.
- 30:23Speaker 2: I don't recognize them as fixations. But Tanya specifically and.
- 30:28Speaker 3: Ali specifically, well, it'll be all of.
- 30:31Speaker 2: A sudden, it's like I can't eat anything out of
- 30:33Speaker 2: plastic containers.
- 30:34Speaker 3: Everything must be glass, and they get rid of every.
- 30:36Speaker 2: Plastic container in their house or then it's like I
- 30:39Speaker 2: need to take I should be eating. Ali went through
- 30:42Speaker 2: the space where it was like two she had to
- 30:43Speaker 2: eat two dates for her gut health, and I'm like,
- 30:47Speaker 2: how oh no, that.
- 30:54Speaker 1: Is so funny.
- 30:56Speaker 2: But isn't that interesting that you attract Like maybe what.
- 31:01Speaker 1: Is your opposite?
- 31:03Speaker 6: Yeah, like opposites attract.
- 31:07Speaker 3: I suppose kind of something.
- 31:10Speaker 1: No, Honestly, it is weird, like how much Ali and
- 31:14Speaker 1: I hyper fixate on things and like it'll be that
- 31:17Speaker 1: thing of the moment, right.
- 31:18Speaker 6: It's the episode of your sitcom like we've talked about
- 31:20Speaker 6: in the past.
- 31:21Speaker 1: Yeah, Like it is like that is like I am
- 31:23Speaker 1: so hyper focused on that right now.
- 31:25Speaker 6: Right this week time to gets an orr ring. That's
- 31:27Speaker 6: a show, right, yep?
- 31:28Speaker 2: And and Ali will go, oh yeah, I was talking
- 31:30Speaker 2: to Tony about this, and I'm like, y'all aren't allowed
- 31:33Speaker 2: to talk. It's too much like fixation in one space.
- 31:38Speaker 2: But what I really appreciate is that for a minute
- 31:41Speaker 2: they were talking in a group chat that I was
- 31:43Speaker 2: involved in, and I was like, I don't want to
- 31:45Speaker 2: be here, like y'all please take this side, you know.
- 31:48Speaker 3: So I have to be grateful.
- 31:50Speaker 2: I have to be grateful that they have continued their
- 31:52Speaker 2: own conversation. But it's just interesting that you like attract
- 31:57Speaker 2: the opposite even in friendships, you know, because like Haley
- 31:59Speaker 2: and I are very opposite.
- 32:00Speaker 1: But it's interesting to me because I do feel like
- 32:02Speaker 1: you just don't have It's not that you don't care,
- 32:06Speaker 1: but like you really you embody care free energy.
- 32:11Speaker 2: Because it's just a lot of effort to try and
- 32:14Speaker 2: control everything.
- 32:17Speaker 1: It's like you don't care about anything. And that comes
- 32:20Speaker 1: off like in a negative way, but it's not.
- 32:23Speaker 3: I don't take it that way.
- 32:24Speaker 1: It's not. It's like it's she's so cool, calm and
- 32:27Speaker 1: collected about everything, Like I don't know how to explain it.
- 32:31Speaker 1: It's so interesting to me. I wish I had that.
- 32:35Speaker 8: Do you seem very balanced? That's what I thout.
- 32:38Speaker 2: I just don't feel like I have as much control.
- 32:43Speaker 3: I think.
- 32:44Speaker 2: I think there's this Okay, I started thinking about this
- 32:47Speaker 2: all of a sudden, and maybe it's because we have
- 32:49Speaker 2: social media, so people have an outlet to get their
- 32:51Speaker 2: information out and it has potential to go viral and
- 32:54Speaker 2: reach people. But all of a sudden, there's experts on everything.
- 32:58Speaker 2: It's like, all of a sudden, your cortisol levels, Hi,
- 33:00Speaker 2: this is what you need to do.
- 33:01Speaker 3: And it's like I had never even heard about my
- 33:03Speaker 3: cortisol levels.
- 33:04Speaker 2: So it's like, why, all of a sudden are there
- 33:06Speaker 2: are all these experts and why in the ancient times.
- 33:11Speaker 3: We didn't have any of this stuff and everyone.
- 33:12Speaker 6: Was fine living longer.
- 33:15Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 33:18Speaker 3: Really, I thought they lived way longer back in the day.
- 33:20Speaker 1: No, So it's funny that you say that, because I
- 33:22Speaker 1: feel like ever since my hashimotoves diagnosis, people will like
- 33:26Speaker 1: come to me asking me for like medical advice, and
- 33:28Speaker 1: I'm like, I'm not a doctor, nor do I ever
- 33:31Speaker 1: claim to be. And I try to like say that
- 33:33Speaker 1: as so much because I'm like I don't. I'm very
- 33:36Speaker 1: much an advocate for like be your own biggest advocate,
- 33:40Speaker 1: because everything isn't a one size fits all, right, So
- 33:45Speaker 1: I think that's like my mentality is like really dig in, like,
- 33:47Speaker 1: don't take one person's word for it, get several opinions,
- 33:51Speaker 1: and like do your research.
- 33:52Speaker 2: But I appreciate that because you've had you had your experience,
- 33:55Speaker 2: and that's what you share.
- 33:56Speaker 3: But you're not trying to be like, this is what
- 33:58Speaker 3: you have to do. You're just like, this is what
- 34:01Speaker 3: I did.
- 34:01Speaker 2: Yeah, you can try it if you want, right, But anyways,
- 34:04Speaker 2: it's like tracking our sleep. It's just like there's all
- 34:07Speaker 2: these things where I'm like, but are they kind of
- 34:09Speaker 2: come out ten years later or five years from and
- 34:12Speaker 2: be like that was so bad for you to wear
- 34:13Speaker 2: that electronic thing on your finger and sleep in it.
- 34:17Speaker 1: I think about that too. I think about that with
- 34:20Speaker 1: electric cars too. Are you sitting on a cell phone
- 34:23Speaker 1: all day?
- 34:24Speaker 6: Yeah, that's possibility. I think about that with AirPods. Everyone's
- 34:27Speaker 6: got air pods. Yeah, And I resisted because I think
- 34:29Speaker 6: you're just beaming cancer into your head. I don't think
- 34:31Speaker 6: it's great, I know, but we'll never know until it's
- 34:33Speaker 6: too late for everybody.
- 34:34Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 34:35Speaker 2: Shoot that that ORR rings reminds me of the promise
- 34:40Speaker 2: ring that Robbi.
- 34:41Speaker 1: It does, it does give. It has similar similar qualities,
- 34:45Speaker 1: except that this is smaller. The or A ring is
- 34:47Speaker 1: smaller bea.
- 34:49Speaker 6: The life expectancy in eighteen sixty was thirty nine years old.
- 34:53Speaker 3: I'm talking like ancient. I'm talking a full time.
- 34:56Speaker 6: Oh my god, I'm not really well. I don't know.
- 35:03Speaker 2: I didn't realize that. Okay, then I take it back.
- 35:06Speaker 2: Maybe there's knowledge with knowledge is health.
- 35:10Speaker 6: And power, technology and medical.
- 35:12Speaker 1: But no, it's like so true because I look at
- 35:14Speaker 1: you and I'm like, I wish I had some of
- 35:16Speaker 1: your energy just in general. But sometimes I think it
- 35:19Speaker 1: swings like too far because you're like the last person
- 35:22Speaker 1: to walk on a plane.
- 35:24Speaker 2: I was about to talk about but because you brought
- 35:28Speaker 2: up gate and anxiety at the airport, which what exactly
- 35:33Speaker 2: how would you define gate anxiety?
- 35:35Speaker 1: So let's say I have to pee so bad, like
- 35:37Speaker 1: I'm about to pee. I've been holding it through the
- 35:40Speaker 1: TSA line. I am through TSA and there is a
- 35:42Speaker 1: bathroom right there. I cannot go to that bathroom that's
- 35:46Speaker 1: right there. I have to go to my gate first,
- 35:47Speaker 1: make sure that the gate is there, make sure that
- 35:49Speaker 1: it's going to my destination, make sure that everything is fine,
- 35:53Speaker 1: and then I can relieve myself. I have to get
- 35:56Speaker 1: to the gate before I can do anything.
- 35:58Speaker 3: Just because it may have changed.
- 36:02Speaker 1: It may have changed, it may be it may not exist.
- 36:06Speaker 1: I might have seen something weird. I don't know.
- 36:10Speaker 3: But if you're at the airport, how early do you
- 36:12Speaker 3: get to the airport?
- 36:13Speaker 1: Two hours depends if it's like quick flight or if
- 36:19Speaker 1: it's like international.
- 36:20Speaker 2: I'll go.
- 36:21Speaker 1: I'll try to be there an hour before.
- 36:23Speaker 3: Oh, an hour before international.
- 36:26Speaker 1: Like make sure that I'm like at my gate an
- 36:28Speaker 1: hour before.
- 36:29Speaker 2: Okay, so you have enough. You have plenty of time
- 36:32Speaker 2: to go pee and then go see your gate.
- 36:34Speaker 1: Correct, But I can't do it. No, I have to
- 36:36Speaker 1: see the gate.
- 36:37Speaker 6: Yes, I have to make sure my gate exists. Yeah,
- 36:39Speaker 6: and then I can go do other things.
- 36:41Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, get a sandwich and get a salad.
- 36:45Speaker 2: You can get a sandwich too, that's fine, right whatever, Yeah,
- 36:47Speaker 2: not everyone's gluten free.
- 36:49Speaker 1: Yeah, but like, I can't do any of that until
- 36:52Speaker 1: I see my gate.
- 36:52Speaker 6: Yes, you have to prove it exists and that it's
- 36:55Speaker 6: going to the right place. And everything's fine.
- 36:56Speaker 1: Yeah, it's all on the same time.
- 36:58Speaker 3: Why couldn't it change after you look at it?
- 37:01Speaker 1: It certainly can, and it has. It definitely has.
- 37:04Speaker 6: That's what the app is for. But I still need
- 37:05Speaker 6: to see it with my own eyes first.
- 37:07Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, okay.
- 37:09Speaker 1: Check the people out. How many people are there.
- 37:12Speaker 7: I'm also afraid that if I go to like the bathroom,
- 37:14Speaker 7: I go to a restaurant, I'm not gonna be able
- 37:15Speaker 7: to find, like, I'm gonna get lost. But if I
- 37:18Speaker 7: look at the gate first, it's done.
- 37:20Speaker 8: I know where that is. Then I can go off
- 37:22Speaker 8: check check.
- 37:23Speaker 3: Wow, okay, great, you don't have that.
- 37:30Speaker 2: I just trust that my updated texts that are coming
- 37:33Speaker 2: through or are accurate, and I get there right when
- 37:38Speaker 2: it's time to get on the plane. That's my dream.
- 37:41Speaker 2: When I walk up and they're boarding, I'm like, this
- 37:43Speaker 2: is perfect.
- 37:44Speaker 1: I've timed it, honestly, saying that would give me so
- 37:48Speaker 1: much anxiety if you were already and I when I
- 37:51Speaker 1: arrive and people are standing, like.
- 37:52Speaker 6: Oh no. If people are standing and I walk around
- 37:55Speaker 6: the corner, I'm like, oh my god, oh my god.
- 37:58Speaker 3: Stands for no just standing around in the way for
- 38:01Speaker 3: no reason.
- 38:01Speaker 2: Its like if everyone sat down until their group was called,
- 38:05Speaker 2: that group stands up, lines up. We are animals. When
- 38:09Speaker 2: when I get off the plane, when I'm.
- 38:12Speaker 3: Waiting for bad any of y'all do this.
- 38:15Speaker 2: When I get off the plane and I'm at baggage
- 38:17Speaker 2: claim and there is a row of men with their
- 38:21Speaker 2: knees up against the luggage belt your suitcase, just stand
- 38:26Speaker 2: back because as soon as I go and someone's to
- 38:28Speaker 2: my way, I'm so aggressive with it, like I will.
- 38:31Speaker 2: I don't mind if I hit them in the elbow
- 38:34Speaker 2: or in the hip because I'm like, get out of
- 38:35Speaker 2: my way, scoop back like a normal person and wait
- 38:40Speaker 2: for the bag to get there.
- 38:44Speaker 7: With THEO drives me crazy because I always have that
- 38:46Speaker 7: big case of gear when I'm having somewhere and like
- 38:49Speaker 7: I have to knock an old lady.
- 38:50Speaker 8: Down to get it. It's a bummer. I don't want
- 38:53Speaker 8: to assault anybody.
- 38:54Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm fine.
- 38:55Speaker 2: I don't have any issue like elbowing a man, but
- 38:58Speaker 2: like I'll be gentle if it's an old lad.
- 39:00Speaker 6: You know what I do hate we're talking about plane
- 39:02Speaker 6: behavior is when the plane stops, you're on the plane
- 39:05Speaker 6: and the clap nope, And that's kind of nice stop
- 39:09Speaker 6: lights come on. Everyone stands up. So that's together thing
- 39:12Speaker 6: that the people in the back decide, I'm getting off
- 39:14Speaker 6: this plane first, and they walk down the aisle as
- 39:16Speaker 6: far as they can, right past you, like there's a
- 39:19Speaker 6: way to get off the plane. It goes, it goes,
- 39:22Speaker 6: it goes. People just said no, I'm going and then
- 39:24Speaker 6: there's the You look up and there's just somebody standing
- 39:26Speaker 6: in the aisle next to your seat. Drives me nuts.
- 39:29Speaker 2: That also drives me nuts, and I just have to
- 39:30Speaker 2: hope that maybe they're rushing to catch another flight, And
- 39:35Speaker 2: that's just what I have to think, because otherwise there's
- 39:37Speaker 2: just no excuse for that behavior. You really, the airport
- 39:41Speaker 2: brings out the absolute worst qualities in every single person.
- 39:46Speaker 1: I don't think so, No, it does. It does agree.
- 39:50Speaker 6: We were getting our luggage once at LAX and it
- 39:53Speaker 6: was delayed, like the luggage were taking forever to come off,
- 39:55Speaker 6: and because there were so many flights landing at the
- 39:57Speaker 6: same time, and because of that, there were so many
- 39:59Speaker 6: hundreds of people and baggae claim all at the same time.
- 40:01Speaker 6: And on top of that, for some reason, an alarm
- 40:04Speaker 6: was going off and it was a high pitch alarm
- 40:09Speaker 6: and it was like, this is a social experiment. This
- 40:11Speaker 6: is like how long before these people start to murder
- 40:13Speaker 6: each other? It's like the Hunger Games in here. This
- 40:16Speaker 6: is insane. So yes, I agree with you.
- 40:19Speaker 2: Not the worst, Yeah, but I love watching people reunite
- 40:23Speaker 2: and stuff.
- 40:23Speaker 3: That's a good part. Oh my gosh, I like this
- 40:26Speaker 3: Hailey so much.
- 40:27Speaker 2: I'm like done, Like it's I get to see her
- 40:29Speaker 2: this weekend. So I'm like, I think, because I know
- 40:32Speaker 2: it's close, there's this feeling of like the I think
- 40:36Speaker 2: I've had to be strong for two weeks where I'm like,
- 40:38Speaker 2: I'm good, we'll get there, the time will come. But
- 40:41Speaker 2: this week, and maybe because of my period, I'm like, I'm.
- 40:44Speaker 3: Done, I'm done waiting. When are you leaving Thursday?
- 40:48Speaker 2: Wow?
- 40:48Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 40:49Speaker 1: Is she gonna pick you u from the airport?
- 40:51Speaker 3: Probably not, She's probably working, But it's okay.
- 40:54Speaker 1: Airports always get me emotional because I always think about that.
- 40:57Speaker 1: I'm like someone's leaving and saying goodbye and someone's greeting
- 41:02Speaker 1: them on the other side, or someone's waiting, yeah he
- 41:06Speaker 1: sounds waiting to see them.
- 41:07Speaker 3: But also there's been like this power outage or power outage.
- 41:13Speaker 7: I set that to my phone background to fit in
- 41:15Speaker 7: with everybody, the blue screen and the little sad face
- 41:19Speaker 7: that CrowdStrike. It was a cybersecurity company uploaded a bad
- 41:23Speaker 7: update took down the computers.
- 41:26Speaker 3: I think, dang well.
- 41:27Speaker 2: I also had this thing because we always think of
- 41:29Speaker 2: people leaving and then going to see each other, but
- 41:31Speaker 2: it's also thinking about the people that are traveling for
- 41:33Speaker 2: like every occasion, like going to celebrate someone or going
- 41:38Speaker 2: to grieve someone. And like people were like saying they
- 41:41Speaker 2: were missing weddings and funerals because of this outage, and
- 41:44Speaker 2: I was like, oh my gosh, like beyond just the
- 41:46Speaker 2: frustration of trying to go somewhere, even if work or whatever,
- 41:49Speaker 2: it's like big events that people, you know. Yeah, anyways,
- 41:53Speaker 2: we have a anonymous Dear bonya request, but we're gonna
- 42:01Speaker 2: take a break and we'll be up.
- 42:18Speaker 3: All right.
- 42:19Speaker 2: We are back, So we have Dear Bonnie help from
- 42:23Speaker 2: anonymous Mark.
- 42:25Speaker 6: Thank you so much loving the weekly segment. Dear Bonia,
- 42:27Speaker 6: and I would love your advice from my own situation.
- 42:29Speaker 4: Please.
- 42:29Speaker 6: I'm a female. I've been a relationship with my girlfriend
- 42:32Speaker 6: for six years now. She's always said that part of
- 42:34Speaker 6: the reason she felt for me was my positive outlook
- 42:36Speaker 6: on life, including when things go wrong. Well, the last
- 42:39Speaker 6: year or so, she's become such a negative person. It
- 42:42Speaker 6: truly affects my energy being a female myself. I try
- 42:45Speaker 6: to understand mood shifts, hormones, but it's a daily thing.
- 42:48Speaker 6: At this point, within the first hour of being awake,
- 42:51Speaker 6: it's complaints and it's going to take it home. It's
- 42:53Speaker 6: how bad everything throughout the day has gone. When I
- 42:56Speaker 6: try to spin things around, look at the positive, it's
- 42:58Speaker 6: now taken that I'm not seeing her feelings. How do
- 43:00Speaker 6: I approach this without a completely hurting her. I want
- 43:03Speaker 6: to be a supportive partner, but it's truly draining. Thank
- 43:06Speaker 6: you for the weekly laughs. I definitely need them.
- 43:10Speaker 3: This sucks because it's so valid to have bad days.
- 43:15Speaker 2: And like want your partner to just be like, I'm sorry,
- 43:18Speaker 2: Like that sucks, but a daily occurrence would be so
- 43:22Speaker 2: drain exhausting.
- 43:27Speaker 6: Sorry, we have no advice for your.
- 43:30Speaker 8: Good luck.
- 43:30Speaker 3: Well, I think here's the thing.
- 43:32Speaker 1: Is she like going through something like is she depressed?
- 43:35Speaker 1: Or like maybe there's something that we're missing, some information
- 43:37Speaker 1: that we're missing.
- 43:38Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that when you are in a highly
- 43:43Speaker 2: defensive state, there's no.
- 43:47Speaker 3: Like, there's no win for the other person.
- 43:50Speaker 2: Because if you're in a negative headspace and you can't
- 43:54Speaker 2: get out of it, whether you're in a depressed or
- 43:57Speaker 2: there's something going on hormonally or mentally, and someone tries
- 44:02Speaker 2: to be like, look at the positive, it can be
- 44:06Speaker 2: so infuriating.
- 44:07Speaker 1: And it's also like I was thinking, if you maybe
- 44:11Speaker 1: try to like say, hey, you've been a little negative lately,
- 44:15Speaker 1: I feel like you've been complaining a lot, that might
- 44:18Speaker 1: set her off even worse. Or if you suggest going
- 44:20Speaker 1: to therapy, that might set her off even worse.
- 44:24Speaker 2: Yeah, But I think at least with therapy you can
- 44:26Speaker 2: be like, hey, I really want to be there for you,
- 44:28Speaker 2: and I feel like I'm not doing it the right
- 44:30Speaker 2: way because I want to be like a positive spot
- 44:34Speaker 2: in your day, but I'm having a hard time reaching.
- 44:39Speaker 1: You in that way.
- 44:39Speaker 2: So I think that maybe going to a therapist and
- 44:42Speaker 2: having a third party can help me understand how to
- 44:44Speaker 2: be there to support you because if you're feeling down
- 44:48Speaker 2: or everything feels dark, you know, I don't want you
- 44:51Speaker 2: to have a life like that, And it's also hard
- 44:53Speaker 2: for me.
- 44:53Speaker 3: As a partner.
- 44:54Speaker 2: Yeah, and I want to be able to be there
- 44:56Speaker 2: for you. So I know that every time there's couples
- 44:58Speaker 2: like issues, we're always like. But I just think it
- 45:01Speaker 2: adds an outside perspective and gives her a safe place
- 45:06Speaker 2: to talk about maybe what's causing it and get the
- 45:10Speaker 2: questions to be like what can you do to be
- 45:13Speaker 2: there for her? Because I don't think that it's fair
- 45:16Speaker 2: that you have to go through life walking on eggshells, yeah,
- 45:21Speaker 2: and having to just take the negativity without having a
- 45:26Speaker 2: response to it.
- 45:27Speaker 1: And we also don't know. She didn't say how long
- 45:29Speaker 1: this has been going on.
- 45:30Speaker 3: She said the last year.
- 45:32Speaker 1: That's a long time.
- 45:33Speaker 3: It's a long time. It does affect you.
- 45:36Speaker 1: Because like maybe I'm thinking, like hormones, things like that
- 45:39Speaker 1: happen in life. We all have seasons mm hmmm.
- 45:43Speaker 2: But they've been together for six years, so I think
- 45:45Speaker 2: it's a safe space that you can be like, Hey,
- 45:48Speaker 2: I love you, I want to be here for you.
- 45:50Speaker 2: I don't know what's going on, but I'm not I'm
- 45:52Speaker 2: obviously not saying what you need to hear. But it's
- 45:56Speaker 2: also affecting me, So what can we do?
- 45:58Speaker 7: Yeah, I learned way too late that when people are
- 46:03Speaker 7: in that mindset, they do not want to be told
- 46:05Speaker 7: about the bright side of things, because I always felt
- 46:08Speaker 7: that when I was like complaining or like seeing something
- 46:11Speaker 7: seeing something negatively, I wanted to be told Like I
- 46:14Speaker 7: was like looking for someone to say what you're feeling, like,
- 46:17Speaker 7: you know, you're blowing it out of proportion in your mind,
- 46:18Speaker 7: it's not actually that bad, but like that doesn't feel
- 46:21Speaker 7: the same as when you're telling it to somebody else.
- 46:23Speaker 7: And also, this person just wants to have their feelings validated.
- 46:26Speaker 7: When it's constantly like that it's been going on for
- 46:27Speaker 7: a year, I think this woman's depressed.
- 46:29Speaker 1: Yeah, something complaining and constant negativity. That's like a headspace, Yeah,
- 46:35Speaker 1: I do have.
- 46:38Speaker 2: I think there was a time when Haley was going
- 46:40Speaker 2: through stuff and she was really down and I would
- 46:43Speaker 2: try to be like, you know, see the bright side,
- 46:46Speaker 2: and she would get upset and be like, I just don't,
- 46:48Speaker 2: like that's not helping me. And I I think I
- 46:52Speaker 2: literally said, can you tell me what you need to
- 46:54Speaker 2: hear from me in these moments, because I want to
- 46:56Speaker 2: be helpful for you, and I feel like I'm trying
- 46:59Speaker 2: to show like a differ perspective to be like, you know,
- 47:02Speaker 2: excited about this.
- 47:04Speaker 3: That's what I've.
- 47:05Speaker 2: Always been able to do, like even for myself, like
- 47:07Speaker 2: house to shift your perspective. But if you can't get
- 47:11Speaker 2: out of the depression or the darkness, then that's horrible
- 47:14Speaker 2: advice for that person. So I think that that's probably
- 47:17Speaker 2: about the time that we went to a couple's therapy
- 47:19Speaker 2: and that help, and it did.
- 47:23Speaker 1: But some people like it, like I like, sometimes I
- 47:25Speaker 1: can go dark and I can spiral about stuff, usually
- 47:27Speaker 1: like it's about like age or whatever, and Robbie can
- 47:31Speaker 1: like really give me the like positive on it, you
- 47:34Speaker 1: know what I mean. Then he'll spin it. I'm not
- 47:36Speaker 1: spin it, but like really make me see the other side.
- 47:38Speaker 1: I'm like I needed that.
- 47:40Speaker 2: So you either need a lawyer as a partner or
- 47:43Speaker 2: a therapist.
- 47:45Speaker 8: Someone with a confidentiality and greement exactly.
- 47:48Speaker 3: But good luck.
- 47:49Speaker 2: I know this is hard, and I think that you
- 47:51Speaker 2: just being there for her but also suggesting you know
- 47:55Speaker 2: what you can do to help.
- 47:57Speaker 3: But also I don't think that it's it's fair for
- 48:00Speaker 3: you to.
- 48:03Speaker 2: Have your days and energy brought down because you're scared
- 48:07Speaker 2: to speak up.
- 48:09Speaker 1: I agree, and we love you and we love you,
- 48:13Speaker 1: and that's it for now.
- 48:14Speaker 2: It is for now, but we'll be back on Thursday.
- 48:17Speaker 2: We have Gigi Caruso in studio in studio, so we
- 48:21Speaker 2: got to be talking to her all about her. She
- 48:25Speaker 2: has a foundation for it's called Here with You, which
- 48:29Speaker 2: is about her hearing loss journey, and she has a
- 48:34Speaker 2: brand that she's had for a long time.
- 48:36Speaker 1: Actually she's a entrepreneur.
- 48:39Speaker 2: So we're gonna be talking to her about all the
- 48:41Speaker 2: things and we'll be back on Thursday.
