- 0:00Speaker 1: All that food we prepared over the holidays, it's gone bad.
- 0:03Speaker 2: It's time to clean out the sound fridge. One more thing.
- 0:06Speaker 3: I'm strung andy, One more thing that reminds me.
- 0:12Speaker 4: Got back from vacation, looked in the refrigerator and realized
- 0:17Speaker 4: I had a good portion of gravy left that I
- 0:21Speaker 4: hadn't used. I thought I'd used all the gravy, but
- 0:24Speaker 4: it was hiding behind something else. I wasted good turkey,
- 0:28Speaker 4: mashed potatoes, stuffing homemade gravy. That's one of the worst
- 0:32Speaker 4: things I've ever done in my life.
- 0:33Speaker 2: Gravy abuse. Oh God, dang it, gravy waste.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Yeah. I spiral cut ham. We had so much ham.
- 0:40Speaker 1: It was so good. I thought, yeah, we'll get to it,
- 0:42Speaker 1: and then I just didn't. Then I realized, oh man,
- 0:45Speaker 1: it's been the fridge a long damn time, and so
- 0:48Speaker 1: I could have just thrown it in the freezer or whatever.
- 0:50Speaker 1: Had just the world's greatest ham sandwiches, and.
- 0:52Speaker 2: I had to throw it out.
- 0:56Speaker 4: I think how much happer we both would be if
- 0:58Speaker 4: we had eaten more. That's not a weird thing. My
- 1:01Speaker 4: brother and I were having that conversation just the Maybe
- 1:04Speaker 4: it's the way you grew up or I don't know
- 1:05Speaker 4: if we're that way as beasts, or my mom grew
- 1:08Speaker 4: up in the depression or what it is. But just
- 1:10Speaker 4: the like wasting food, eating it so you don't waste
- 1:13Speaker 4: it is dumb. I mean, it makes no logical sense
- 1:18Speaker 4: to eat something only you're already full. You just don't
- 1:22Speaker 4: want to waste it. You don't want to go in
- 1:24Speaker 4: the trash. It seems like a crime against humanity.
- 1:26Speaker 2: But it's not gonna do.
- 1:27Speaker 4: Mean, he good to be fatter and fuller and more
- 1:29Speaker 4: miserable as I sleep.
- 1:31Speaker 1: Right. All of those laws and mores and morals, they
- 1:34Speaker 1: were developed in a world that wasn't, you know, swimming
- 1:37Speaker 1: in food like you know, the modern world, particularly the
- 1:40Speaker 1: Western world is.
- 1:41Speaker 4: We're at the cracker barrel and my brother had one
- 1:44Speaker 4: chicken tender left, and he was so full, and he said,
- 1:46Speaker 4: I can't waste it. I'm not gonna do it. He
- 1:49Speaker 4: tried to get it down. I mean, he was already struggling.
- 1:51Speaker 4: He finally tapped out, I can't do it.
- 1:57Speaker 2: Wow, that's yeah.
- 1:59Speaker 1: You know, Lenny and I when she was here over
- 2:01Speaker 1: the holidays, went out for sushi, and we both you know,
- 2:05Speaker 1: they are like two pieces left, and I'm like.
- 2:07Speaker 2: You could have that one. She's like good because I
- 2:10Speaker 2: want we both.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Then we're both like trying to contain her nausea for
- 2:15Speaker 1: the next hour.
- 2:17Speaker 3: I'm yelty of that with sushi for sure.
- 2:19Speaker 2: Yeah you too.
- 2:20Speaker 5: There's like one or two pieces left. You can't do
- 2:22Speaker 5: that for some reason. It's against some law.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:25Speaker 4: Henry had this really expensive, great steak that we got
- 2:28Speaker 4: at the Gordon Ramsay restaurant.
- 2:30Speaker 2: He ate like half of I was already stuffed. It's
- 2:32Speaker 2: just like, you can't throw it away.
- 2:34Speaker 4: Your whole thing. About what percentage of steaks taken back
- 2:37Speaker 4: to hotel rooms get eaten was in my head none
- 2:40Speaker 4: so zero.
- 2:41Speaker 2: It either goes the treash.
- 2:42Speaker 4: But if I eat it on any yack, What a
- 2:45Speaker 4: stupid conversation to even have with your head.
- 2:48Speaker 1: We got that great note from a listener that said
- 2:50Speaker 1: it's going to end.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Up as quote unquote waste.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Either way, it doesn't have to go through you first, right,
- 2:57Speaker 1: So do they throw it away at the restaurant or
- 3:00Speaker 1: does do.
- 3:00Speaker 2: You poop it?
- 3:01Speaker 1: I mean, what's either way it's going away.
- 3:05Speaker 4: Now, me being in pain and fatter is a better
- 3:08Speaker 4: use of that food.
- 3:09Speaker 3: For better for humanity.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, so let's clean out the metaphorical fridge,
- 3:14Speaker 1: the sound fridge.
- 3:15Speaker 2: It's funny. Oh thanks, metal guys. Sorry.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Our first clip is of America's sweetheart David Shwimmer from Friends,
- 3:24Speaker 1: among other roles, plus Robert Kardashian on The OJ Show,
- 3:30Speaker 1: and plus he was the ultimately unsuccessful squad commander in
- 3:36Speaker 1: Band of Brothers. And I was started to rewatch that
- 3:41Speaker 1: because it's one of my favorite things that's ever been
- 3:43Speaker 1: on the screen, large or small. Uh, And then I realized, quickly,
- 3:47Speaker 1: Oh my god, that's right. David Swimmers in.
- 3:49Speaker 2: This is that I've believe it or not.
- 3:53Speaker 1: He is very, very good in it. But he is rass,
- 3:59Speaker 1: right who I hated on Friends?
- 4:02Speaker 4: And you expect him to go around a corner and
- 4:04Speaker 4: Joey's sitting there in the recliner. Is that what happened
- 4:07Speaker 4: is permanently ross no matter what he does.
- 4:09Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, but no, I do not fault him in
- 4:12Speaker 2: that role.
- 4:12Speaker 1: He's terrific, I think, but I just have to get
- 4:14Speaker 1: past the fact that he's ross.
- 4:16Speaker 2: Uh.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Well, we'll go ahead and play the clip and I
- 4:19Speaker 1: have a comment number ten, Michael.
- 4:21Speaker 6: I got a lot of random people shouting pivot at me,
- 4:24Speaker 6: which sometimes is startling, I thought, But also it's just
- 4:30Speaker 6: a reminder that the series lives on.
- 4:32Speaker 1: Which is which do you recall pivot?
- 4:44Speaker 2: That's funny.
- 4:44Speaker 4: Somebody said that mean to me last Sunday night. When
- 4:46Speaker 4: I changed my I'm driving to Kansas to I'm flying
- 4:49Speaker 4: to Washington, d C.
- 4:50Speaker 2: They send me the pivot. I don't remember that reference.
- 4:55Speaker 2: They're trying to move a couch him and trying to
- 4:59Speaker 2: get around the corner. Oh, that's that's hilarious.
- 5:02Speaker 1: As soon as you said that, I can picture the
- 5:03Speaker 1: entire scene unfolding. He right. I have a friend who's
- 5:13Speaker 1: got this encyclopedia memory of Seinfeld episodes. Plus he likes
- 5:19Speaker 1: to do the elliptical in the afternoon at his house,
- 5:22Speaker 1: and he watches Seinfeld a lot while he does that,
- 5:24Speaker 1: And so we'll be playing golf for talking and he'll say,
- 5:27Speaker 1: that's just like the episode you remember Seinfeld when it
- 5:30Speaker 1: I mean, like, no, I don't remember that at all,
- 5:33Speaker 1: But man, is he hardcore. I don't tend to retain
- 5:36Speaker 1: those things.
- 5:37Speaker 3: I don't either.
- 5:37Speaker 5: A dear friend of mine has that exact same setup
- 5:40Speaker 5: with friends and always going oh that one time at channel.
- 5:43Speaker 3: I'm like, no, I know, I don't know.
- 5:45Speaker 2: Them like that.
- 5:46Speaker 4: I I'm this is one of the reasons I always
- 5:49Speaker 4: attended classes in college. If I see and hear something,
- 5:54Speaker 4: it's in my brain forever. I just yeah, and so
- 5:58Speaker 4: like I remember TV shows, I remember, like I remember whatever.
- 6:02Speaker 2: It's funny.
- 6:03Speaker 1: That's never extended entertainment for me for whatever reason. Anyway, Michael,
- 6:08Speaker 1: do we need to know anything about eleven to enjoy it?
- 6:12Speaker 7: Just a woman gets pulled over her duy. She happens
- 6:14Speaker 7: to be a Hooters waitress. She's twenty two years old,
- 6:16Speaker 7: and this is the interaction between her and the cop.
- 6:19Speaker 1: All Right, we're gonna make out here, going to wake
- 6:22Speaker 1: out here?
- 6:27Speaker 3: Pick out of heat? Bro bro, I got at.
- 6:33Speaker 4: Okay, do you want to try this first exercise for me?
- 6:35Speaker 4: I will do anything for you, daddy, all.
- 6:39Speaker 2: Right, can you put your feet together.
- 6:42Speaker 1: In your hands?
- 6:44Speaker 2: Okay? Are you wearing?
- 6:47Speaker 1: Are you wearing carses? Hey?
- 6:50Speaker 6: Sophia of God? Two seconds?
- 6:53Speaker 2: Why he's such a nerd? Bro Oh when she's drunk?
- 6:58Speaker 4: There, No, she was drunk a hammer kid? What she
- 7:03Speaker 4: wear in the Hooter's outfit? Or did that just happen
- 7:05Speaker 4: to be a profession that just happened to be a profession.
- 7:08Speaker 7: I don't know if she was wearing the outfit or not.
- 7:09Speaker 2: I was that first line. We ought to make out?
- 7:13Speaker 2: Is that what she said? Now we're not gonna make out.
- 7:17Speaker 2: It's funny.
- 7:18Speaker 4: In her drunken state, at some point she fell back
- 7:21Speaker 4: on what has worked for her whole light, her whole
- 7:23Speaker 4: life is being sexy girl. Yeah, I know how I'll
- 7:26Speaker 4: get out of this hell for you, daddy.
- 7:32Speaker 3: That was behind the wheel of a car. That's what
- 7:34Speaker 3: scares me.
- 7:35Speaker 4: If you don't know kidding, no kidding, she was killing
- 7:38Speaker 4: you drunk easily. You gotta leave out the I need
- 7:42Speaker 4: to pee so bad before you hit on him, because.
- 7:44Speaker 2: That just it's not sexy.
- 7:46Speaker 1: Yeah well right, yeah, well, which was Wait a minute,
- 7:49Speaker 1: you're calling me daddy and offered me to plus you
- 7:51Speaker 1: gotta will go, and then come no, I can't let you.
- 7:54Speaker 4: Go any red blooded male. You insinuate that you would
- 7:57Speaker 4: trade some sort of sexual favor to get out of
- 7:59Speaker 4: this problem. It would at least be a millionth of
- 8:02Speaker 4: a second hesitation of should I know? I better not,
- 8:05Speaker 4: but it's at least gonna pop in your head. But
- 8:07Speaker 4: after the hole I got a peed, not so much. Yeah,
- 8:14Speaker 4: do you want to rule on men after I said that?
- 8:17Speaker 3: Nope, I'm good. I'll stay in my lane.
- 8:20Speaker 1: That is your lane anyway, Michael, How about number twelve.
- 8:24Speaker 1: Any perspective you'd like to share first?
- 8:28Speaker 7: Yeah, this is a There was a story about a
- 8:29Speaker 7: ten year old girl who got a tattoo, and this
- 8:32Speaker 7: is people commenting on it.
- 8:34Speaker 2: Write ten.
- 8:36Speaker 1: It is one of the most frustrating things about our
- 8:40Speaker 1: career field.
- 8:41Speaker 2: If you see a ten year.
- 8:42Speaker 1: Old child with a professional looking tattoo and they said
- 8:44Speaker 1: they got it a tattoo shop, that kind of degrades
- 8:47Speaker 1: us as a whole.
- 8:48Speaker 3: I wouldn't let my daughter underage get any tattoo.
- 8:51Speaker 2: No way, No, No, that's crazy. No, I don't agree.
- 8:54Speaker 3: I think they should wait a while.
- 8:56Speaker 4: I think if you let your teenagers do what they want,
- 9:00Speaker 4: it down on it quicker.
- 9:01Speaker 5: If you tell him they can't, they're gonna find a way,
- 9:03Speaker 5: and they're gonna do it three times.
- 9:05Speaker 4: They're gonna do it anyway. They're gonna go get a
- 9:07Speaker 4: tattoo anyway as a ten year old, So you might
- 9:09Speaker 4: as well let them. Better they get it in your
- 9:10Speaker 4: home than with a stranger or something.
- 9:14Speaker 2: You know, is that a collection half with what did you?
- 9:17Speaker 2: Why did you play us that? Michael? So we can.
- 9:19Speaker 7: Discuss the Katie has tattoos and I was just wondering
- 9:23Speaker 7: what age she got him, and it was something as a.
- 9:25Speaker 3: Teenager one of them. One of them was as a teenager.
- 9:29Speaker 4: Yes, that's why you have a Jonas brother's tattoo. You
- 9:32Speaker 4: were very young.
- 9:33Speaker 5: Yeah, yep, No, it's uh my first tattoo, I am,
- 9:37Speaker 5: it's it's more of a funny story now than anything.
- 9:40Speaker 2: Yes, I know in high school.
- 9:42Speaker 4: Most people I know, even the tattooed, have at least
- 9:47Speaker 4: one that they wish they hadn't gotten.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Yeah, his honor, Your dad was okay with this?
- 9:54Speaker 2: Did he know about it? Or yeah?
- 9:56Speaker 3: I guess I can't get him in trouble now, right
- 9:58Speaker 3: because he's retired.
- 9:59Speaker 5: Yeah, so so, uh yeah, we were in Hawaii and
- 10:02Speaker 5: my mom had just gotten tattooed. This is the dolphin
- 10:05Speaker 5: jumping over the shamrock, which she then said, in fifty
- 10:08Speaker 5: years was going to look like a whale stuck.
- 10:10Speaker 3: On a pine tree. I think. But I wanted a tattoo,
- 10:15Speaker 3: and so my dad went.
- 10:16Speaker 5: And I apparently I just wouldn't shut up shocking, and
- 10:19Speaker 5: he was like, fine, you want one, let's do it.
- 10:21Speaker 3: So I was sixteen.
- 10:22Speaker 5: And I laid down on the tattoo on the table,
- 10:25Speaker 5: and the second that needle touched me, I went up
- 10:28Speaker 5: about six inches and you went nop. Now you got
- 10:30Speaker 5: to finish.
- 10:33Speaker 3: So I have a tattoo and it hurt like crazy.
- 10:38Speaker 4: But tattoos are like everything else. They look really good
- 10:43Speaker 4: on some people and on other people they don't. So
- 10:46Speaker 4: I don't know, it's like a fashion thing.
- 10:48Speaker 5: The funny thing about mine is there it's two hearts
- 10:51Speaker 5: next to each other. One is the Irish flag and
- 10:53Speaker 5: the other was supposed to be the American flag, but
- 10:55Speaker 5: the guy did it at a downward angle, so it
- 10:57Speaker 5: looks like the Puerto Rican flag.
- 10:59Speaker 1: Oh no, well, I mean the Irish and the people
- 11:03Speaker 1: of Puerto Ricans have long enjoyed friendly and mutually helpful relations.
- 11:08Speaker 3: Totally.
- 11:09Speaker 2: It's just a little odd. It's a bit of a
- 11:11Speaker 2: niche thing there. Ah.
- 11:13Speaker 4: Now my niece has showing me her new incover Christmas,
- 11:16Speaker 4: and let's good on her, but you know, wouldn't on me.
- 11:19Speaker 4: Did you did you see this stuff about Pete Hegseeth,
- 11:21Speaker 4: The perhaps Secretary of Defense and how Elizabeth Warren's worried
- 11:24Speaker 4: about his tattoos.
- 11:26Speaker 2: I've seen a hint of that last year.
- 11:27Speaker 4: You got a couple of Christian crosses that she claims
- 11:31Speaker 4: are white supremacist Christian nationalists something or other.
- 11:34Speaker 3: Okay, she claims she was Native American, so good point.
- 11:37Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a good rite.
- 11:39Speaker 1: Right. She's tattooed with the needle of deceit or something.
- 11:43Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 11:44Speaker 3: Did you get me a beer?
- 11:46Speaker 2: I'm gonna have me a beer.
- 11:48Speaker 3: A beer.
- 11:51Speaker 7: Well, I guess that's it.
