Transcript
- 0:05Speaker 1: Today we discuss a rare crime, one so heinous even
- 0:10Speaker 1: death row inmates look down on you if you commit this,
- 0:14Speaker 1: an act where you remove the life from another human
- 0:17Speaker 1: being for your own gain, even though that life is
- 0:20Speaker 1: neither yours nor theirs. In fact, it's a brand new
- 0:25Speaker 1: life all on its own. This is the story of
- 0:30Speaker 1: a rare crime called fetal abduction.
- 0:37Speaker 2: Warning.
- 0:37Speaker 1: The following podcasts and material intended more at your audience.
- 0:45Speaker 1: Listener discretion is advised. Hey, how's it going.
- 1:05Speaker 2: My name's Ben and I'm Nicole, and you're listening to
- 1:09Speaker 2: Wicked and Grim, a true crime podcast, and we're by it.
- 1:14Speaker 1: We're back from Halloween. Yes, took a little bit of
- 1:17Speaker 1: a hiatus. Hopefully you guys are doing good.
- 1:19Speaker 2: Feel like we haven't been on here for three months, even.
- 1:21Speaker 1: Though we took what one week break.
- 1:23Speaker 2: Pretty much, it feels like three months.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Well, we hope that everyone had an epic Halloween week
- 1:28Speaker 1: ll seven days of epic noss.
- 1:30Speaker 2: That was awesome. Yeah, hopefully by now you're caught up
- 1:33Speaker 2: because we're back to our regular scheduled programming every Tuesday.
- 1:37Speaker 2: There you go, there you go. So, do you have
- 1:40Speaker 2: any news you want to tell anybody? Miss vacation. Well okay,
- 1:44Speaker 2: so yeah, first class. We meant to I'm just gonna
- 1:47Speaker 2: put out there. We meant to have an episode out
- 1:49Speaker 2: last week, but some shit got in the way. One
- 1:53Speaker 2: of the positives was I went to San Diego, which
- 1:56Speaker 2: was an amazing trip. I went there for like part
- 1:59Speaker 2: vacation and then part it was a photography retreat, so
- 2:02Speaker 2: I have to learn and connect with like their photographers
- 2:05Speaker 2: and the industry, and it was it was awesome. But
- 2:08Speaker 2: the reason, the other reasoning why we were a bit
- 2:10Speaker 2: behind is not so great. Oh okay, yeah, we are
- 2:13Speaker 2: going there, okay, And I mean we have to announce
- 2:17Speaker 2: it on here because like you guys have you know them.
- 2:21Speaker 2: So we unfortunately had to put I'm gonna cry, like
- 2:25Speaker 2: I can't announce this with that. But we had to
- 2:27Speaker 2: put Mika down.
- 2:29Speaker 1: Yeah, our oldest dog, Meca. In the spring, she was
- 2:32Speaker 1: diagnosed with a very aggressive cancer. We thought she wasn't
- 2:37Speaker 1: even gonna last much longer into the spring, but she
- 2:40Speaker 1: ended up lasting all spring, all summer and into the fall. However,
- 2:44Speaker 1: eventually caught up to her and her time came and
- 2:48Speaker 1: we had to say goodbye to her.
- 2:50Speaker 2: Yeah. So it was I mean a lot of people
- 2:53Speaker 2: there are also animal lovers and you just like they're
- 2:56Speaker 2: part of your family. It's literally got wrenching.
- 2:58Speaker 1: So yeah, so we want to just kind of designate
- 3:02Speaker 1: and say that that Halloween Week was in lou for
- 3:05Speaker 1: Meka because we didn't want to say anything during it
- 3:09Speaker 1: while it was happening, but we had to put her
- 3:11Speaker 1: down during Halloween week. So yeah, we just want to
- 3:16Speaker 1: give that one to her.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, she deserves that, So.
- 3:19Speaker 1: This one's for her too, because why not.
- 3:22Speaker 2: Something kind of cool on a side note in regards,
- 3:25Speaker 2: so we have like this this calendar, this local calendar,
- 3:32Speaker 2: and it's an it's through the city and then it's
- 3:34Speaker 2: also like a fundraiser through I think our SPCA, which
- 3:37Speaker 2: is our I don't know if SPCA is a thing worldwide,
- 3:40Speaker 2: but it's our animal shelter. And so I had put
- 3:44Speaker 2: in this photo of our two dogs and like trying
- 3:46Speaker 2: to get in this calendar and it was just kind
- 3:48Speaker 2: of an honor of Mika and they picked the photo.
- 3:52Speaker 2: So there will be little miss Decembers.
- 3:55Speaker 1: Yeah, so that's awesome.
- 3:56Speaker 2: So that's pretty cool.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Yeah, so we're stoked. And just so you guys know,
- 4:01Speaker 1: you don't need to reach out to us. We appreciate
- 4:03Speaker 1: all the kind words and everything. We're not sharing this
- 4:05Speaker 1: with you guys to try and receive sympathy. We just
- 4:07Speaker 1: kind of want to keep you guys updated because we
- 4:09Speaker 1: do know that you listen. You know about our dogs,
- 4:12Speaker 1: and we just kind of full transparency. So just letting
- 4:15Speaker 1: you know we've kind of made peace with it. It's
- 4:18Speaker 1: still sad thinking about her, but it is what it
- 4:20Speaker 1: is and we're doing okay.
- 4:22Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, but there will be one less for baby
- 4:25Speaker 2: running around, So we disfigured we'd let you know a
- 4:28Speaker 2: few less dog farts in the podcast. Yeah, maybe we'll
- 4:31Speaker 2: get distracted a little bit less, but probably not.
- 4:35Speaker 1: But we should head over to our patrons now. We
- 4:37Speaker 1: should thank our patrons absolutely, and I do have a correction.
- 4:40Speaker 1: We do so they never said anything either, They never
- 4:44Speaker 1: corrected us, but we realized on a rown we totally
- 4:46Speaker 1: mess it up. So, James Harrington, last time we mentioned
- 4:50Speaker 1: our podcast or our patrons subscribers, I said, Jamie did,
- 4:54Speaker 1: so that's totally on my bad, so we.
- 4:55Speaker 2: Didn't even realize. Actually, so thank you, James.
- 4:58Speaker 1: Yeah, sorry James for messing up your name, but we're
- 5:01Speaker 1: known for messing up names anyway, so it's.
- 5:02Speaker 2: All good, right, Yeah, maybe you loved it.
- 5:05Speaker 1: We also have Corey Burnell, Jen Lyles zero zero just
- 5:11Speaker 1: or oh, I don't know. It's just the letter O
- 5:13Speaker 1: or the number zero. That's all they put in for
- 5:15Speaker 1: their name. Nicholas Vigasis Vergaeis the grayis there you go?
- 5:22Speaker 1: The grayis okay, Nicholas the Grayisa. I think I've got it.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Now, there you go. It sounds good.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Pat and Alison halliwell nice. So thank you all you
- 5:33Speaker 1: guys for signing up for Patron. We appreciate you so much.
- 5:36Speaker 2: Yeah, y'all are the bomb ye And if.
- 5:38Speaker 1: You want to head over and support us over there
- 5:40Speaker 1: as well, no pressure, but the link is down below.
- 5:42Speaker 2: Feel free. We appreciate you just the same though. Yeah. Yeah,
- 5:46Speaker 2: like we'll be posting out. We did a pre show
- 5:47Speaker 2: before we recorded this that we'll be posting in there
- 5:50Speaker 2: and just where we what would we say? Just talk shit?
- 5:54Speaker 1: Yeah, just shoot the ship kind of warm up to mics,
- 5:56Speaker 1: get ourselves ready to go and podcast. Yeah it's fun time,
- 5:59Speaker 1: but speak ready to go. I think I'm ready to go?
- 6:01Speaker 2: Are you? I don't know because I was literally just
- 6:04Speaker 2: like scroll on Facebook as Ben did his little intro
- 6:08Speaker 2: and then I just did like the side slow glance
- 6:11Speaker 2: over at him, like.
- 6:13Speaker 1: The fuck because she knew nothing about what case.
- 6:16Speaker 2: I do nothing nothing. I'm honestly often blind, like coming
- 6:20Speaker 2: in blind here.
- 6:21Speaker 1: Yeah. So this is the story of Tika Adams and
- 6:26Speaker 1: her experience with what is known as fetal abduction.
- 6:30Speaker 2: Oh boy, we're in for it.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Yes, So warning up ahead of time. This can get
- 6:36Speaker 1: graphic and a very squeamish, especially for potential mothers or
- 6:40Speaker 1: something like that. So consider yourself warned right now. So
- 6:45Speaker 1: it starts in Washington, DC in two thousand and nine.
- 6:48Speaker 1: A woman named Tika Adams described herself as a very
- 6:51Speaker 1: rebellious individual. She created her own rules and didn't want
- 6:55Speaker 1: to live by anyone else's. She was twenty nine years
- 6:57Speaker 1: old and was living on the streets day with no
- 7:00Speaker 1: way of knowing where her next meal would come from. Oh,
- 7:04Speaker 1: she was homeless. She was heavy into drug use. She
- 7:08Speaker 1: was in and out of prisons, and continued to wander
- 7:10Speaker 1: alone through the city as her feet hit the concrete
- 7:13Speaker 1: leading her to her next unlan location each day. It
- 7:19Speaker 1: was a life no one should have to endure. A
- 7:21Speaker 1: life of loneliness, pain, and often even shame and regret. However,
- 7:26Speaker 1: after living this life for what seemed like an eternity,
- 7:29Speaker 1: Tika decided that she needed to do something. She wasn't
- 7:32Speaker 1: going to keep living this way and the only person
- 7:35Speaker 1: who could change it was her.
- 7:37Speaker 2: Wow. Yeah, I love that. This is okay right, yeah.
- 7:41Speaker 1: So she's turning over that new leaf.
- 7:42Speaker 2: Let's go.
- 7:43Speaker 1: She decided she was going to leave the streets behind,
- 7:46Speaker 1: and her first step to become the woman that she
- 7:49Speaker 1: wanted to was checking herself into a shelter.
- 7:52Speaker 2: Okay, good for her. Yea, that's not an easy choice
- 7:55Speaker 2: or easing to do.
- 7:57Speaker 1: No, definitely not taking life by the balls for the
- 8:01Speaker 1: proverbial saying, or however you want to say it. Yeah,
- 8:04Speaker 1: that's a big step. Yeah, So good for her for
- 8:07Speaker 1: making that call.
- 8:08Speaker 2: To literally step back, see what situation you're in and
- 8:12Speaker 2: then have the courage to change it. Is amazing. It's huge, huge.
- 8:16Speaker 1: Yeah. So she did that. She went to a shelter
- 8:19Speaker 1: in DC which was being run by the Community for
- 8:22Speaker 1: Creative Non Violence, and there she began to stay in
- 8:25Speaker 1: the woman's section of the shelter and she officially began
- 8:28Speaker 1: turning over that new leaf. Now, as such as life.
- 8:32Speaker 1: When you go searching for something, you will generally find it.
- 8:36Speaker 1: Some call it karma, others call it fate. When you
- 8:38Speaker 1: put out a good energy into the universe, you can
- 8:40Speaker 1: really generally say that you'll find good energy come back
- 8:44Speaker 1: your way. So when Tika checked herself in ready to
- 8:47Speaker 1: leave her old life behind, her new life presented her
- 8:51Speaker 1: in the form or with good energy, in the form
- 8:53Speaker 1: of a man named PJJ. He was also checked in
- 8:58Speaker 1: the shelter. He was in a very similar situation. He
- 9:00Speaker 1: decided he had had enough of the life on the
- 9:03Speaker 1: streets and it was time to turn his life around.
- 9:05Speaker 2: Okay, so I'm I was going to say they seem
- 9:08Speaker 2: like a good match, but hopefully this guy isn't an asshole.
- 9:11Speaker 1: No, he's a good guy.
- 9:12Speaker 2: Okay, he's a good guy. Okay, because you never know
- 9:14Speaker 2: sometimes where we going to like this person? Are we
- 9:16Speaker 2: not going to like this person?
- 9:17Speaker 1: This is a true crime podcast, so you know a
- 9:20Speaker 1: true crime is going to occur, and we already discussed
- 9:22Speaker 1: what kind of crime is.
- 9:23Speaker 2: So well, well, I'm going to say he's the dad.
- 9:26Speaker 1: Yes. The two instantly made a connection and their love
- 9:30Speaker 1: for one another began to develop quickly. Now, while still
- 9:34Speaker 1: in the shelter. The two would eventually get married wow,
- 9:36Speaker 1: and Tika would soon be an expecting mother Right on yep.
- 9:41Speaker 1: So everything in Tika's life was beginning to turn around.
- 9:43Speaker 1: She was off the streets, she now had a family
- 9:46Speaker 1: of her own, and her future was looking brighter.
- 9:48Speaker 2: Every day, no kidding, it's like a three sixty.
- 9:50Speaker 1: However, a very dark twist would come into her life.
- 9:54Speaker 1: When she was seven months pregnant with a phone call.
- 9:58Speaker 1: Tika began receiving phone calls, calls from a number that
- 10:01Speaker 1: showed up on her caller ID as unknown. She brushed
- 10:05Speaker 1: the calls off at first and ignored them, but they
- 10:08Speaker 1: kept coming. So one day, while she was on her
- 10:11Speaker 1: way to the grocery store with a friend, the phone
- 10:14Speaker 1: rang again with that same unknown display. She decided she
- 10:19Speaker 1: would see who it was and what they wanted, so
- 10:22Speaker 1: she answered it. I know a lot of the times,
- 10:25Speaker 1: I'm I'm really prone to answer those phone calls, even
- 10:27Speaker 1: if it is a telemarketer. I like to just like
- 10:29Speaker 1: hang up on them and stuff.
- 10:31Speaker 2: I'm the worst. I won't answer them. I won't even
- 10:33Speaker 2: answer the goddamn door if someone's there.
- 10:36Speaker 1: Yeah, the door's a little bit different. It is a
- 10:38Speaker 1: physical location. It's like right there, you're confronted with them,
- 10:41Speaker 1: you know. Yeah, so I can't blame you for that.
- 10:43Speaker 2: This podcast has made me scared.
- 10:44Speaker 1: Shilla, close your doors, your windows, watch your bathroom mirror.
- 10:49Speaker 2: I was just gonna say your medicine cabine's Yeah.
- 10:53Speaker 1: So, Tika found on the other end of the phone
- 10:55Speaker 1: was a friendly voice of a woman, and she introduced
- 10:57Speaker 1: herself as Stephanie Mills. Now step began to tell Tica
- 11:01Speaker 1: who she was and the reason she was calling. She
- 11:04Speaker 1: told her that she works for a company that assists
- 11:06Speaker 1: women who are homeless or underprivileged, potentially in a shelter program.
- 11:11Speaker 1: Things like that individuals who like her are pregnant.
- 11:15Speaker 2: Okay.
- 11:16Speaker 1: Now, the idea is that the company she works with
- 11:18Speaker 1: helps women by providing such things such as baby clothing
- 11:21Speaker 1: or other supplies that expecting mothers would need but can't
- 11:25Speaker 1: quite supply for themselves. Understandably, many women in tika situation
- 11:29Speaker 1: would have a difficult time purchasing many of these items
- 11:32Speaker 1: that they need to raise a child, so the support
- 11:34Speaker 1: would go a huge long way for her.
- 11:37Speaker 2: Well, absolutely, you need so much shit.
- 11:39Speaker 1: Oh yeah, kids are not cheap.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Yeah, like so many things.
- 11:43Speaker 1: Right. So the conversation continues and she tells Tica all
- 11:46Speaker 1: about the items that they have in a warehouse, baby clothes,
- 11:50Speaker 1: like you name it. Most of it's being donated or secondhand,
- 11:52Speaker 1: but they have a lot that they can pass on
- 11:54Speaker 1: and help her. So, needless to say, Tica was beyond excited.
- 12:00Speaker 1: This would help her and PJ tremendously and they would
- 12:03Speaker 1: be able to give their new baby a great start
- 12:06Speaker 1: in life. PJ, however, seemed to be a little bit skeptical.
- 12:11Speaker 2: Though I'm skeptical of the warehouse.
- 12:14Speaker 1: Yeah, he wasn't so sure of the situation. A feeling
- 12:17Speaker 1: Teaka was not too fond of sharing. She reassured him
- 12:21Speaker 1: that it was fine and it's the help that they
- 12:25Speaker 1: just need.
- 12:25Speaker 2: M Well, she was probably like thinking, this is just oh,
- 12:29Speaker 2: they've answered my prayers kind of thing, like we need
- 12:32Speaker 2: we need help, like I want to give this baby
- 12:34Speaker 2: everything possible, right, and then this phone call just so
- 12:39Speaker 2: she's it, this is like kind of a tricky spot,
- 12:42Speaker 2: especially because most people think other people are good.
- 12:45Speaker 1: Oh yeah, well definitely. So if you receive a phone
- 12:47Speaker 1: call like because there are organizations like this hunter are
- 12:50Speaker 1: so you receive this phone call to help your child.
- 12:52Speaker 1: Of course you're going to take it.
- 12:54Speaker 2: Yeah, I would. Generally, I feel like you have to
- 12:56Speaker 2: kind of reach out to them more.
- 12:58Speaker 1: So, potentially, I'm not too sure how it would work
- 13:02Speaker 1: in a shelter situation because they might have names of
- 13:04Speaker 1: individuals and send it out yeah for you, So I'm
- 13:07Speaker 1: not too certain.
- 13:08Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean giving I guess the situation that she
- 13:11Speaker 2: was already and maybe they passed her information along, right,
- 13:16Speaker 2: So where's your head going with this?
- 13:17Speaker 1: So far? Though, I'm curious.
- 13:19Speaker 2: I think this warehouse is shit and she needs to
- 13:22Speaker 2: run for the hills.
- 13:23Speaker 1: You think the warehouse is shit?
- 13:24Speaker 2: You? No, just the warehouse? I was like, no, Like,
- 13:28Speaker 2: just don't I in my brain, and she needs to
- 13:31Speaker 2: go with someone. She's going to pick up shit. She
- 13:34Speaker 2: needs to take someone with her, a buddy.
- 13:36Speaker 1: Fair enough. Well, Tka and Stephanie continue to be in contact,
- 13:41Speaker 1: discussing her needs and getting her set up to come
- 13:43Speaker 1: pick up the items that she'd be needing. It was
- 13:46Speaker 1: early December two thousand and nine when Tika Adams was
- 13:49Speaker 1: nine months pregnant and the time finally came where she
- 13:53Speaker 1: could be picking up her goods. Oh my gosh, Stephanie
- 13:56Speaker 1: came and picked Tka up and they both headed out
- 13:59Speaker 1: together to the wear house.
- 14:01Speaker 2: Okay, I just have to say, so, the Stephanie chick
- 14:03Speaker 2: is really she's forming a relationship with her.
- 14:07Speaker 1: Yep.
- 14:08Speaker 2: That's longer than just a phone call.
- 14:11Speaker 1: Yep.
- 14:11Speaker 2: So I mean that it makes it even worse because
- 14:14Speaker 2: of course you'd think that this person is investing in you.
- 14:17Speaker 1: Makes what worse?
- 14:20Speaker 2: Well, what might be going down here because.
- 14:22Speaker 1: You're making a lot of assumptions.
- 14:24Speaker 2: I am okay, maybe I'll just shut up. So it's fine.
- 14:27Speaker 2: Everything's fine, everything's great. This warehouse is just peachy, and
- 14:30Speaker 2: there's full of baby clothes and stuff. Yeah. No, I
- 14:35Speaker 2: don't know. I'm just like, Okay, she's literally investing in
- 14:38Speaker 2: this person. For two months, they've been having conversations like
- 14:43Speaker 2: she's really going next level here.
- 14:44Speaker 1: Yep. Well, Tika was investing a lot like you're saying.
- 14:48Speaker 1: She was filled with excitement. Her baby was almost here
- 14:51Speaker 1: and she was finally being presented with the items to
- 14:53Speaker 1: take care of it. During the drive the two talk,
- 14:56Speaker 1: Tika spoke all about her life and how she was
- 14:58Speaker 1: trying to become a better person. She described her time
- 15:01Speaker 1: in the streets, her encounters with substance abuse, and her
- 15:04Speaker 1: new baby in marriage, which meant the world to her,
- 15:07Speaker 1: and Stephanie shared a bit of her life as well,
- 15:09Speaker 1: talking about some of her family, like she had a
- 15:11Speaker 1: teenage son and so forth, the worst teenage sons.
- 15:16Speaker 2: No, I don't know the fact that she's Okay, maybe
- 15:20Speaker 2: my brain's going to the wrong place. But she's in
- 15:22Speaker 2: this vehicle with this person. They're sharing, they're liking each other. Like,
- 15:26Speaker 2: why the fuck does she not have someone with her
- 15:28Speaker 2: right now? Like, I'm sorry, but please just take buddies, well,
- 15:33Speaker 2: buddy system.
- 15:34Speaker 1: Yeah, she did not take a buddy and eventually the
- 15:37Speaker 1: two Stephanie and Tica would arrive at the warehouse location. However,
- 15:43Speaker 1: it wasn't a warehouse.
- 15:45Speaker 2: What was it.
- 15:46Speaker 1: It was Stephanie's apartment. Okay, it was odd, but Tika
- 15:52Speaker 1: brushed it off and thought, Okay, something must have just
- 15:54Speaker 1: changed in the details or something. She didn't really know
- 15:57Speaker 1: what to think. Yeah, so she went inside the apartment with.
- 16:00Speaker 2: Stephanie because that seems safer than a warehouse. But maybe not.
- 16:04Speaker 1: Well, you'd think it would be safer, for sure, That'd
- 16:06Speaker 1: be my assumption. Yeah, I'd probably be like, oh, thank god,
- 16:08Speaker 1: it's an apartment, not a fucking sketchy warehouse. Now, the
- 16:12Speaker 1: apartment was a large, pale brick building. They entered through
- 16:16Speaker 1: a glass door entrance through a sliding door glass door
- 16:20Speaker 1: story which was beside a front door, and led them
- 16:23Speaker 1: into the living room. Now the room was rather empty,
- 16:26Speaker 1: with a couch and some scattered boxes laying around, but
- 16:30Speaker 1: Stephanie kept leading her through the room into an adjacent bedroom.
- 16:35Speaker 1: Now the situation was odd. There were no donated baby
- 16:39Speaker 1: clothes or anything of that nature in sight. In the bedroom,
- 16:43Speaker 1: Stephanie let Tica sit on the bed and she put
- 16:46Speaker 1: a movie on the TV that was located in the room.
- 16:49Speaker 2: Okay, weird.
- 16:50Speaker 1: She also fixed her lunch in the form of two sandwiches.
- 16:53Speaker 2: Ah.
- 16:54Speaker 1: So the two sat down and began to watch the movie,
- 16:58Speaker 1: and by now Tica was feeling quite uncomfortable. She didn't
- 17:01Speaker 1: want to be rude. She just assumed that Stephanie was
- 17:04Speaker 1: maybe just like a really awkward or different individual, So
- 17:08Speaker 1: she didn't want to press or anything like that. Right,
- 17:11Speaker 1: But soon enough the time would come and they would
- 17:13Speaker 1: go get the items that Stephanie would be talking about.
- 17:17Speaker 1: That's what she was hoping for. She's like Okay, movie
- 17:19Speaker 1: will end soon, and it's going to happen here soon.
- 17:22Speaker 1: She just wants to chill for a bit.
- 17:23Speaker 2: Who knows, Holy heck, she's very kind.
- 17:26Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 17:27Speaker 2: The fact that she's just like eating the sandwich and
- 17:29Speaker 2: watching the movie, Yeah, that's okay.
- 17:32Speaker 1: Well, they sat on the bed with the movie playing.
- 17:35Speaker 1: Antika's phone rang. It was her husband, PJ m. He
- 17:38Speaker 1: asked if she was finished up and needed him to
- 17:41Speaker 1: come pick her up. There was one problem though, Tika
- 17:46Speaker 1: didn't know where they were right. She told PJ what
- 17:50Speaker 1: was going on. She kind of reassured him that she'd
- 17:52Speaker 1: just be fine.
- 17:53Speaker 2: Oh my gosh. Meanwhile, he's just like, what the actual
- 17:57Speaker 2: is going on?
- 17:58Speaker 1: Yeah? So the movie would eventually end, and Stephanie got
- 18:02Speaker 1: up and put another one on. Oh my gosh, And
- 18:06Speaker 1: strangely enough, after that, she would get up to put
- 18:10Speaker 1: another movie on.
- 18:11Speaker 2: Holy shit. However, things would quickly take a.
- 18:14Speaker 1: Severe turn at this point. At the third movie, all
- 18:18Speaker 1: of a sudden, Tica had a blanket thrown over her
- 18:21Speaker 1: head and a violent beating and assault began.
- 18:25Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, I okay, two movies in, like, yes, well,
- 18:29Speaker 2: what is going on here? I'm so confused?
- 18:32Speaker 1: She sat there with her for two movies in this
- 18:35Speaker 1: stranger's bedroom, just being polite as far as I can tell.
- 18:40Speaker 2: Yeah, but why did this Stephanie chick need two movies?
- 18:43Speaker 2: And like, how did she even find this woman? I'm
- 18:47Speaker 2: just yeah, we'll carry on here, but I got questions.
- 18:50Speaker 1: Well, these movies seem to be a bit of a
- 18:52Speaker 1: theme and I'm not too sure why or what's with them.
- 18:58Speaker 1: But yeah, well we'll touch on it here shortly.
- 19:01Speaker 2: Okay.
- 19:02Speaker 1: So, as the assault began, Stephanie was on top of Tika,
- 19:05Speaker 1: punching and hit her repeatedly, but still the nine month
- 19:11Speaker 1: pregnant Teka managed to get to her feet and put
- 19:14Speaker 1: her hands and arms up to defend herself as she
- 19:16Speaker 1: tried to run. She managed to make it to the
- 19:19Speaker 1: nearby front door, but quickly realized the severity of her
- 19:22Speaker 1: situation when she saw three locks holding her.
- 19:26Speaker 2: Oh oh my gosh, I thought there was going to
- 19:27Speaker 2: be more individuals there. No, hmm.
- 19:31Speaker 1: Now. Tica by this time had a large cut across
- 19:33Speaker 1: her head and had blood pouring into her face, but
- 19:37Speaker 1: she still continued to fight. However, Stephanie was just too much,
- 19:42Speaker 1: even more so when she got a hold of a
- 19:44Speaker 1: fire poker and began to beat Tika with it over
- 19:48Speaker 1: and over. Wow, she was beaten into unconsciousness. But it
- 19:56Speaker 1: is estimated that she was struck with that fire poker
- 19:59Speaker 1: approximately forty times.
- 20:01Speaker 2: Holy, okay, that's that's incredible.
- 20:05Speaker 1: That is brutal.
- 20:07Speaker 2: Well, I mean it's incredible that, like she was putting
- 20:10Speaker 2: up the fight of her life there, like she's trying
- 20:13Speaker 2: to save herself and her baby. She's doing this all
- 20:17Speaker 2: well nine months. Yeah, Like to withstand that much just
- 20:22Speaker 2: shows how much strength she has.
- 20:24Speaker 1: Oh, one hundred percent. I'm sitting here and I'm like,
- 20:27Speaker 1: I got a poop and I can barely walk to
- 20:28Speaker 1: the bathroom.
- 20:29Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, I feel like I get hit once
- 20:32Speaker 2: and be like done.
- 20:35Speaker 1: Well, Tica's definitely different than us because she managed to
- 20:38Speaker 1: just take a lot. Yeah, she did manage to regain
- 20:43Speaker 1: consciousness as she was being dragged down a hallway.
- 20:46Speaker 2: Oh okay, Yeah, this is just gonna get worse and worse,
- 20:50Speaker 2: isn't it from here on out?
- 20:51Speaker 1: Yes? Yeah, she was being dragged down the hallway by
- 20:55Speaker 1: her ankles towards the kitchen, but she was now bound
- 20:58Speaker 1: and gagged, Okay, left helpless to her attacker. She was
- 21:02Speaker 1: also still quite.
- 21:05Speaker 2: Well.
- 21:05Speaker 1: She just went through a severe beating. She has a
- 21:08Speaker 1: bell runk, so she's not quite with it right. Hell no,
- 21:11Speaker 1: Next though, she remembers hearing rustling coming from the kitchen drawer,
- 21:15Speaker 1: and then she sees stiff Stephanie kneeling at her side
- 21:19Speaker 1: with a box cutter.
- 21:23Speaker 2: Oh, this is just brutal. This is brutal.
- 21:26Speaker 1: She remembers Stephanie telling her what she was going to do.
- 21:31Speaker 1: She remembered her saying she was going to take her baby,
- 21:35Speaker 1: then feeling a sharp pain in her side. Man, as
- 21:38Speaker 1: Stephanie began to cut.
- 21:40Speaker 2: It'd be more than just a sharp fucking pain.
- 21:43Speaker 1: Yeah, well, you try writing a podcast and describing that.
- 21:46Speaker 2: Oh I know. Sorry, I'm not I'm not saying anything
- 21:50Speaker 2: but bad about how you wrote it. But that would
- 21:52Speaker 2: be for going excruciate it.
- 21:55Speaker 1: She felt an excruciatingly sharp pain. How's that that's better?
- 22:01Speaker 1: It's all gold. So as quickly as it began, though,
- 22:07Speaker 1: it luckily stopped, and Tika could hear Stephanie's voice as
- 22:13Speaker 1: she began to pray as she said, Lord, forgive me,
- 22:18Speaker 1: I've sinned. Forgive me.
- 22:20Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a big ass sin.
- 22:23Speaker 1: Yes, it is then she began to start cleaning up
- 22:27Speaker 1: the large amounts of blood that had saturated the floor
- 22:29Speaker 1: surrounding the two of them, And as she began cleaning,
- 22:32Speaker 1: she also instructed Tica to stand up, but she was
- 22:36Speaker 1: unable to due to her injuries and the restraints, so
- 22:40Speaker 1: Stephanie helped her get back to the bedroom where she
- 22:43Speaker 1: laid her down on the bed. There, she takes away
- 22:47Speaker 1: Tika's cell phone immediately, and Tika starts telling Stephanie that
- 22:52Speaker 1: she just won't tell anyone what happened if she just
- 22:56Speaker 1: lets her go.
- 22:57Speaker 2: Hey will was her baby still in her?
- 23:00Speaker 1: Yes?
- 23:01Speaker 2: Oh? Okay, so this Stephanie, she.
- 23:03Speaker 1: Did not take it yet.
- 23:04Speaker 2: She started cutting, but she didn't finish.
- 23:06Speaker 1: She did not.
- 23:07Speaker 2: Finish, and then she realized that she's a piece of shit.
- 23:10Speaker 2: Mm hmm okay, gosh, this is crazy.
- 23:16Speaker 1: So Tka was thinking back to the conversation the two
- 23:19Speaker 1: had when they were in the car driving to the
- 23:21Speaker 1: apartment or what she thought was the warehouse. Yeah, and
- 23:24Speaker 1: she remembers Stephanie talking about her son. So she tried
- 23:27Speaker 1: to use this to her advantage, saying that she wouldn't
- 23:29Speaker 1: say anything because she doesn't believe in breaking up a family.
- 23:32Speaker 1: She's trying to tug at those heart strings.
- 23:34Speaker 2: She's smart, she.
- 23:35Speaker 1: Is she's she's a badassy to say that.
- 23:40Speaker 2: I just think this woman is incredible.
- 23:43Speaker 1: Her words seemed to actually be making an impact on Stephanie.
- 23:47Speaker 1: Stephanie began pacing around the apartment, struggling with what she
- 23:51Speaker 1: was going to do next. This would go on into
- 23:54Speaker 1: the night. In fact, it continued for the next three days.
- 24:00Speaker 2: Oh my goodness.
- 24:01Speaker 1: Tika was held captive, unsure of her and her baby's
- 24:04Speaker 1: safety as her captor paced around the apartment, all while
- 24:08Speaker 1: Stephanie had movies playing on repeat, over and over and
- 24:13Speaker 1: over again.
- 24:14Speaker 2: Well, and she's so injured too, Like, it's almost amazing
- 24:18Speaker 2: that she could even have lasted those days without getting
- 24:21Speaker 2: medical attention.
- 24:22Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I guarantee you she at least has a concussion,
- 24:26Speaker 1: not alone her lacerations. Right.
- 24:28Speaker 2: And Pej, right, that's his name, Pj. The husband must
- 24:31Speaker 2: just be worried sick.
- 24:33Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I guarantee you he was.
- 24:36Speaker 2: Wow.
- 24:37Speaker 1: So all this time, Tika refused to sleep in fear
- 24:41Speaker 1: of what could happen to her if her eyes even
- 24:43Speaker 1: closed for a moment. Gosh, now, possibly even if she
- 24:46Speaker 1: wanted to her senses may not even allowed her to rest.
- 24:50Speaker 1: The one and only good thing Stephanie did for Tika
- 24:54Speaker 1: was she helped keep her fed and hydrated, most likely
- 24:58Speaker 1: to ensure good health of the child.
- 25:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 25:02Speaker 1: On the third night, Tica witnessed a very ominous sight
- 25:06Speaker 1: as Stephanie entered the room carrying a large metal bowl
- 25:10Speaker 1: full of ice and carried six towels, some rags, two
- 25:15Speaker 1: box cutters, and a knife with her.
- 25:18Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, too much shit. She's like just getting
- 25:23Speaker 2: the courage to have done this and do it again.
- 25:25Speaker 1: Yep, fear struck her, But she was helpless in the
- 25:29Speaker 1: whole situation, and she had her head wrapped in duct
- 25:33Speaker 1: tape so she couldn't scream and she wouldn't be able
- 25:37Speaker 1: to see what was going on. Wow, okay, yep, Stephanie
- 25:43Speaker 1: began to start cutting as Tica laid there helpless. She
- 25:48Speaker 1: began cutting at her pelvic pelvic region, not knowing what
- 25:52Speaker 1: she was doing at all because she is no surgeon,
- 25:55Speaker 1: And after a few minutes of trying, she started physically
- 25:58Speaker 1: poking and picking and at Tika's open cut of fingers.
- 26:03Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, presumably because she wasn't getting the job done.
- 26:07Speaker 1: With the knives because.
- 26:08Speaker 2: She has no idea what the fuck she's doing.
- 26:10Speaker 1: Zero fucking clue. All the while Tika is awake and feeling.
- 26:15Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, okay, this is almost too much. Okay.
- 26:19Speaker 1: In the background, Tika remembers hearing the movie Michael Jackson's
- 26:23Speaker 1: This Is It playing, and Stephanie would stop and rewind
- 26:27Speaker 1: the movie in certain parts to hear him sing and
- 26:29Speaker 1: perform as she continued to do her grotesque procedure. Really, yes,
- 26:34Speaker 1: a very odd fact in this case, okay. So, like
- 26:40Speaker 1: I said, Tica was feeling all of this the whole time,
- 26:43Speaker 1: and eventually she would pass out from the pain and
- 26:47Speaker 1: blood loss. And when she woke up, she was in
- 26:51Speaker 1: severe pain, and Stephanie was lying in front of the
- 26:54Speaker 1: bedroom door, sleeping in the fetal position. It seemed that
- 26:58Speaker 1: again she was not successful, and Tika still had her baby.
- 27:03Speaker 2: Holy okay, I cannot even imagine the shape that this
- 27:07Speaker 2: woman is in at this point.
- 27:08Speaker 1: Yep. So now what happens next is insane. It's not
- 27:13Speaker 1: too clear on how her restraints worked in the situation
- 27:16Speaker 1: with the duct tape around her face, or how she
- 27:18Speaker 1: was restrained, or if she got them removed. Somehow. But
- 27:21Speaker 1: we do know is she managed to roll out of bed,
- 27:25Speaker 1: and she prayed all the while while she was saying,
- 27:28Speaker 1: please just give me the strength. Slowly she crept towards
- 27:32Speaker 1: the door and stepped over Stephanie, trailing drops of blood
- 27:37Speaker 1: across her as she slept.
- 27:39Speaker 2: Oh, she was sleeping there.
- 27:42Speaker 1: Yeah, Stephanie was sleeping in the fetal position on the
- 27:44Speaker 1: ground in front of the bedroom door. Antika stepped over her,
- 27:49Speaker 1: bleeding on her while she's sleeping.
- 27:51Speaker 2: Well in men's pain. I can imagine how that? Could
- 27:56Speaker 2: you keep quiet while you were doing that, when you
- 27:58Speaker 2: were in this much pain?
- 27:59Speaker 1: Yeah, and miraculously Stephanie didn't wake up.
- 28:03Speaker 2: Wow.
- 28:05Speaker 1: Step after step Tica kept pushing, kept going towards the door,
- 28:10Speaker 1: slowly making her way down the hallway. As she's doing this,
- 28:14Speaker 1: her stomach and internal organs began spilling out into her hands.
- 28:18Speaker 2: Oh my goodness, I'm not surprised though.
- 28:22Speaker 1: Amazingly, she makes it to the front door and unlocks
- 28:27Speaker 1: all three of the locks one by one. So they're
- 28:31Speaker 1: not like key locks. Their locks to keep people from
- 28:33Speaker 1: outside getting in.
- 28:34Speaker 2: Okay, okay, yep, which is good.
- 28:37Speaker 1: Yeah, So finally she managed to open the door to
- 28:40Speaker 1: the apartment. She made her way outside into the hallway,
- 28:44Speaker 1: where not too far she would pass out.
- 28:47Speaker 2: Oh no, okay, please someone come. She woke up again
- 28:52Speaker 2: to see Stephanie.
- 28:53Speaker 1: Leaning over her.
- 28:54Speaker 2: Oh shit, as.
- 28:55Speaker 1: She began dragging her back to the apartment.
- 28:58Speaker 2: You're fucking kidding me, as I'm pissed.
- 29:01Speaker 1: Why don't you tell me how you really feel.
- 29:03Speaker 2: I'm pissed because I was like, no, like she's going
- 29:08Speaker 2: to make it out of there, like I really thought
- 29:10Speaker 2: she was. This is this is horrible.
- 29:12Speaker 1: Well, Tica was once again ready to put up a fight,
- 29:15Speaker 1: and she began screaming bloody murder, which got the attention
- 29:21Speaker 1: of a neighbor. Good, and he poked his head out
- 29:23Speaker 1: into the hallway.
- 29:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 29:25Speaker 1: Now, Tika looked this guy right in the face and
- 29:28Speaker 1: she screamed, please help me. She's trying to kill me,
- 29:32Speaker 1: and she lifted her it's a navy blue colored shirt,
- 29:37Speaker 1: so it wasn't showing the bloodstains, but she lifted her
- 29:39Speaker 1: shirt to show her stomach to the man, and the
- 29:43Speaker 1: man like probably went just ghost white seeing that, and
- 29:47Speaker 1: he screamed immediately that he's calling the police, and Stephanie
- 29:52Speaker 1: booked it.
- 29:53Speaker 2: Oh okay, Thank goodness he fucking ran because I was like,
- 29:58Speaker 2: now this guy's in danger, Like, what's how up and next? Here?
- 30:01Speaker 2: Because this lady is literally something's I don't know. I
- 30:06Speaker 2: don't want to but she's crazy. I don't know if
- 30:08Speaker 2: I'm allowed to say that, but she's crazy.
- 30:11Speaker 1: Something's not right there.
- 30:12Speaker 2: That's something is really not right.
- 30:14Speaker 1: But I don't know about you. I would not have
- 30:15Speaker 1: made it as far as Tika has made it. No,
- 30:18Speaker 1: I would have been dead long time ago.
- 30:20Speaker 2: She's incredible.
- 30:21Speaker 1: I am shocked, right, But I haven't given her the
- 30:25Speaker 1: title you're thinking about just yet because there's a certain point.
- 30:27Speaker 2: There's more.
- 30:28Speaker 1: There's a certain point where I want to pin it
- 30:31Speaker 1: on because it just makes it all so.
- 30:33Speaker 2: Sweet because I'm like kind of been waiting. How is
- 30:36Speaker 2: he not? How can you tell him? How is he?
- 30:39Speaker 1: Just just wait for it, because there is one moment
- 30:41Speaker 1: where it just it's it makes sense. So hold on
- 30:44Speaker 1: to that thought.
- 30:45Speaker 2: Okay, okay.
- 30:46Speaker 1: So Tika was thankfully rushed into hospital and immediately went
- 30:50Speaker 1: into emergency surgery. When she woke up, she had the
- 30:55Speaker 1: sight of her husband PJ sitting next to her at
- 30:58Speaker 1: her bedside.
- 30:59Speaker 2: Oh and she just probably just melted like of happiness.
- 31:03Speaker 1: Yeah, she was safe, she was alive, she was filled
- 31:07Speaker 1: with joy. But one question plagued her mind the moment
- 31:11Speaker 1: she regained consciousness the baby. What happened to her baby?
- 31:16Speaker 1: What do you think happened to the baby.
- 31:17Speaker 2: Has to live? Like I'm sorry, but the mom can't
- 31:20Speaker 2: be that badass and the baby not lives like this,
- 31:23Speaker 2: like this needs to end. Well.
- 31:28Speaker 1: Well, just as she was about to ask this question,
- 31:32Speaker 1: a nurse walked into the room the baby and congratulated
- 31:36Speaker 1: her on the birth of her healthy baby girl. O. Yes,
- 31:40Speaker 1: Tica and PJ named their daughter Miracle for obvious reasons.
- 31:46Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, dude, that makes me want to so hold.
- 31:51Speaker 1: The look on your face when I said that, like.
- 31:55Speaker 2: Instantly, my eyes are just wandering. That's the most amazing
- 31:59Speaker 2: thing I've ever heard.
- 32:01Speaker 1: Oh you're good.
- 32:02Speaker 2: I'm good, but well I never expected that.
- 32:06Speaker 1: So as for Stephanie, well, if you're not surprised to
- 32:11Speaker 1: hear this, her name isn't actually Stephanie. Her name is
- 32:15Speaker 1: Veronica Derrin Moose. She's forty one, and she definitely was
- 32:20Speaker 1: not part of a company that helped less fortunate women.
- 32:23Speaker 2: No, she's freaking horrific person. Yeah you think so? Yeah, Yeah,
- 32:29Speaker 2: I think so as well. Yeah, I can't. I can't
- 32:32Speaker 2: stop thinking a little miracle. I'm really invested in this one.
- 32:36Speaker 1: Well, surprisingly, Stephanie or Veronica, I'll be calling her now. Surprisingly,
- 32:41Speaker 1: Veronica actually called the police on herself and turned herself in.
- 32:46Speaker 2: Really yeah.
- 32:48Speaker 1: Now. A trial was held in November of twenty ten,
- 32:52Speaker 1: where on a plea bargain she pled guilty but initially
- 32:57Speaker 1: claimed Tika had actually agreed to sell the baby for
- 33:00Speaker 1: five grand. Oh wow, right, what? I want to call
- 33:06Speaker 1: her all sorts of names just for that alone.
- 33:08Speaker 2: But I really think something's gone really bad for her.
- 33:13Speaker 1: Oh definitely, definitely.
- 33:15Speaker 2: What's her name?
- 33:15Speaker 1: Sorry, Veronica?
- 33:17Speaker 2: Veronica? Like so, I think that she's probably suffering from
- 33:20Speaker 2: something pretty serious. But that's a pretty five grand. That's
- 33:26Speaker 2: like a real shit lie there.
- 33:28Speaker 1: Yeah, well, I can't. I can't imagine what someone would
- 33:32Speaker 1: have had to have gone through to, let alone contemplate
- 33:36Speaker 1: actually go through with the actions of Steele an other
- 33:39Speaker 1: woman's child.
- 33:41Speaker 2: She came up with this crazy plan and went through
- 33:45Speaker 2: all the steps and and you can even tell through
- 33:47Speaker 2: the story obviously that she struggled with what she was doing.
- 33:50Speaker 2: Because it took her too taught well two times and
- 33:53Speaker 2: she didn't even succeed.
- 33:55Speaker 1: Yeah, but I like, what would put you in that position?
- 34:00Speaker 1: You know what I mean? What would say, Okay, I
- 34:02Speaker 1: am traumatized to the point that I am going to
- 34:05Speaker 1: cut open your stomach and take your child from you
- 34:09Speaker 1: for my gain and think that's okay.
- 34:12Speaker 2: And think that that's going to just end well.
- 34:15Speaker 1: Or even if it does you do get away with it,
- 34:19Speaker 1: How do you think you're going to live with yourself
- 34:21Speaker 1: after that? Like, there's got like I can't imagine what
- 34:24Speaker 1: someone would have to go through to justify that to themselves.
- 34:28Speaker 1: So I do feel very bad for Veronica because I
- 34:31Speaker 1: can only imagine what put her in that position. Yeah, however,
- 34:35Speaker 1: she did do this act and it's like fuck you.
- 34:37Speaker 2: You know, oh yeah, it was terrible. Yeah, And I'm
- 34:40Speaker 2: just do you touch on how she ended up finding.
- 34:43Speaker 1: Her like at this That just no, that's actually not
- 34:48Speaker 1: something I have ran across.
- 34:49Speaker 2: If I'm being honest, Oka's wild.
- 34:52Speaker 1: It would have clearly have been through the shelter of
- 34:55Speaker 1: some sort of way, But I'm not too certain how
- 34:59Speaker 1: whether she was scoping it out or.
- 35:01Speaker 2: What Yeah, yeah, or could even been like volunteering there
- 35:06Speaker 2: or it just came across her or something. Yeah.
- 35:09Speaker 1: Yeah, so I'm not too certain. That's not something I
- 35:12Speaker 1: managed to find. So Veronica was found guilty of first
- 35:16Speaker 1: degree assault and was sentenced to twenty five years in prison.
- 35:20Speaker 2: Oh okay. I was wondering how long it would be
- 35:22Speaker 2: because it's like murder assault, Like, I wasn't sure the
- 35:25Speaker 2: difference in kind of time there.
- 35:28Speaker 1: And I do think that this is something that hasn't
- 35:30Speaker 1: seen a lot of like court time, like a fetal abduction.
- 35:33Speaker 1: So I'm not too certain if there's like a standard
- 35:36Speaker 1: on what the sentencing should be. So I would imagine
- 35:41Speaker 1: that would have been a difficult call for the court
- 35:42Speaker 1: process to do. Anyways, So on to the moment where
- 35:47Speaker 1: I said that Tika has that moment to be given
- 35:52Speaker 1: that title.
- 35:53Speaker 2: Okay.
- 35:55Speaker 1: So Tika, at twenty nine years old, brought her daughter
- 35:59Speaker 1: back into the courtroom to stand against her attacker, even
- 36:02Speaker 1: though she was already proven guilty. She didn't need to
- 36:07Speaker 1: stand up there, but she wanted to stand up there
- 36:10Speaker 1: to show Veronica exactly who she was and that she
- 36:14Speaker 1: didn't take her or her child. So Tika lives in
- 36:19Speaker 1: an apartment with her family now in DC. They are
- 36:21Speaker 1: no longer homeless and have turned their lives around, just
- 36:24Speaker 1: as they said they would. And I want to quote
- 36:27Speaker 1: something that Tika has said. She said this, I survived
- 36:32Speaker 1: because I was coming to a point in my life
- 36:34Speaker 1: where I started to love myself and respect myself and
- 36:37Speaker 1: cherish life. I survived because of God and my support system.
- 36:42Speaker 1: I know a lot of people love me, and I
- 36:44Speaker 1: know that my God loves me. And like they say,
- 36:48Speaker 1: God looks after babies and fools, and I had a
- 36:51Speaker 1: baby and I was a fool.
- 36:54Speaker 2: Wow, hey, so do you.
- 36:57Speaker 1: Want to do the honors and give her the title?
- 36:58Speaker 2: Well, I know with like literally just chills this one.
- 37:03Speaker 2: H Yeah, she is one and ten percent like the
- 37:06Speaker 2: badass of the day. More so I think, yes, she's
- 37:09Speaker 2: a title bigger than that.
- 37:11Speaker 1: Yeah she is. She's well, she's our badass the day,
- 37:13Speaker 1: through and through. Like there's I don't know how I
- 37:17Speaker 1: could ever even hope to do something like she has done,
- 37:20Speaker 1: Not that I would hope to go through that, but
- 37:21Speaker 1: like to achieve that sort of like bad ass or
- 37:24Speaker 1: you know what I.
- 37:24Speaker 2: Mean, No kidding, because I'm just thinking the amount of
- 37:27Speaker 2: blood that she would have lost and the fact that
- 37:30Speaker 2: she could, that she still could regain consciousness is mind blowing.
- 37:34Speaker 1: I do think the fact that it was over the
- 37:36Speaker 1: course of a few days helped her in that situation.
- 37:39Speaker 2: Okay, that's that makes sense.
- 37:41Speaker 1: Yeah, because she had an initial assault where she probably
- 37:44Speaker 1: would have lost quite a bit of blood, and then
- 37:46Speaker 1: it was three days later where the second assault occurred. Right,
- 37:50Speaker 1: So I'm thinking within those few days her body was
- 37:54Speaker 1: able to help replenish the blood in her system.
- 37:57Speaker 2: Okay, huh, I'm not too And because that chick I
- 38:04Speaker 2: still can't remember her name. I'm for some reason can't
- 38:06Speaker 2: remember either of her name for the life of me,
- 38:08Speaker 2: which is fine. But she was, like you said, giving
- 38:13Speaker 2: her food and stuff too, Yeah, because that would have helped,
- 38:18Speaker 2: because if she had no nourishment in those days, then
- 38:21Speaker 2: who knows how much she would have regained her strength
- 38:24Speaker 2: and stuff.
- 38:25Speaker 1: Right yep, Yeah, that's totally fair.
- 38:27Speaker 2: Huh.
- 38:28Speaker 1: So that is the tale of Tka Adams and her
- 38:31Speaker 1: little baby Miracle.
- 38:33Speaker 2: Oh I have never heard of this and that name. Okay,
- 38:38Speaker 2: Miracle has literally like a badass mom. Oh that would
- 38:44Speaker 2: I do? I couldn't even imagine what she would do
- 38:46Speaker 2: to protect her like that's incredible. I mean, she already did. Gosh,
- 38:50Speaker 2: she was protecting her at that time. Holy heck. Okay,
- 38:55Speaker 2: so that my mind is going all over the place.
- 38:58Speaker 2: This one I really am wasn't expecting.
- 39:00Speaker 1: Why do I feel like as soon as these mics
- 39:02Speaker 1: are turned off, the waterwork's going to turn on for you?
- 39:04Speaker 2: I don't think they will. My eyes did water when
- 39:08Speaker 2: you announced her name, because.
- 39:09Speaker 1: They're watering right now.
- 39:10Speaker 2: No, they're not.
- 39:11Speaker 1: I'm fine, they're glistening.
- 39:12Speaker 2: Fine, I'm fine. Everything's fine. This was a story that
- 39:18Speaker 2: I just really wasn't expecting for some reason. I don't
- 39:20Speaker 2: know why. I don't know why. Maybe I'm just emotional.
- 39:23Speaker 2: Maybe it's an emotional day.
- 39:24Speaker 1: No, that's totally fair. All right, Well, thanks for listening, guys.
